- 0:10This is a president of action.

- 0:14the America Out Loud Talk Radio Studios.
- 0:16If he says he's serious about something, he
- 0:17means it.
- 0:19It's time for The Truth Be Told with
- 0:21Booker Scott.
- 0:23The dust has now settled on Donald Trump's
- 0:25trip to China, so it's time to take
- 0:27a look at it.
- 0:28Let's talk about that tonight.
- 0:30We'll also talk about Iran.
- 0:32But before we do all of that, we
- 0:33have to get into what is going on
- 0:35now.
- 0:36And that is the primary election season for
- 0:39the midterm coming up in November.
- 0:42We had an election on Saturday, and we
- 0:44have a big one coming up on Tuesday.
- 0:46Let's get into it.
- 0:47I'm Booker.
- 0:48This is The Truth Be Told.
- 0:49As always on Monday, we have Matt Palumbo
- 0:50with us.
- 0:52He is a newsmax contributor, also on Fox
- 0:54Business from time to time.
- 0:56A fantastic author of eleven books, and he's
- 0:58always with us on Monday night.
- 1:00Matt, welcome back for Mondays with Matt.
- 1:03Good to be back, of course, and uh
- 1:05get another eventful week.
- 1:07It was they all are anymore if you
- 1:09pay attention to politics.
- 1:11But let's pay attention to this race that
- 1:13took place on Saturday night, and let's go
- 1:15to this clip from NBC to hear about
- 1:16it.
- 1:19NBC News is now declaring that Congresswoman Julia
- 1:22Letlow and Louisiana State Treasurer John Fleming have
- 1:25both advanced to a runoff.
- 1:29That runoff will be held on June 27th,
- 1:31neither getting a clear outright majority tonight that
- 1:34would have won this primary on the spot.
- 1:37But significantly what that means.
- 2:06Uh over the weekend that uh for the
- 2:08first time in 14 years, he didn't even
- 2:10get out of the primary.
- 2:12What does that say about Donald Trump's power
- 2:14within the party or within the base to
- 2:16come out and have Bill Cassidy come in
- 2:18third place?
- 2:20There will be a runoff, as he mentioned
- 2:21in June.
- 2:23Letlow, a congressman from Louisiana had about 47%
- 2:25of the vote, while the second place treasurer
- 2:28there for the state of Louisiana, he was
- 2:31just above Cassidy with about 25-26%.
- 2:34So it looks like Lettlow will eventually win
- 2:37the nomination for the Republicans and go on
- 2:39to the general election in November.
- 2:41But what are your thoughts there about Cassidy
- 2:44and the power still of Donald Trump?
- 2:47Yeah, I mean it's historic both because it
- 2:48was as he said, and I mean I
- 2:49was really hoping I could drop this stat
- 2:51because, you know, as Richard Smith's story ahead
- 2:52of time.
- 2:54Uh it was the first in 14 years.
- 2:56But it's, you know, it's more impressive than
- 2:58that in that, you know, as you were
- 2:59just saying as well, Cassidy got less than
- 3:0125% of the vote.
- 3:03So, you know, in in the past, when
- 3:05senators have been primary, it was uh obviously
- 3:07a heck of a lot closer to that
- 3:08kind of blowout.
- 3:10Uh Letlow only needs to bring over about
- 3:12five percent of the vote to win um
- 3:15from Cassidy's people if they even turn out
- 3:17in the next round of the second round
- 3:19in really any primary tends to see a
- 3:21pretty significant drop off in turnout.
- 3:23So uh I I don't think it'll really
- 3:25be a problem for Letlow.
- 3:26And yes, this was the second reminder in
- 3:29the past few weeks we've seen of Trump's
- 3:31influence in the party um in Indiana.
- 3:34Um I remember when we reported on it,
- 3:35I kept saying Illinois for some reason.
- 3:37Yeah, that was last week.
- 3:38That was last week.
- 3:39And then I did it on another show
- 3:40after this.
- 3:41Good job, man.
- 3:41But uh, I don't know what was wrong
- 3:42with me that day.
- 3:43But in Indi Indiana, they also are also
- 3:45Senate primaries, and all of the Senate, or
- 3:48not all of them, but many senators up
- 3:50that were being primaried had voted against redistricting
- 3:53in the state.
- 3:55Um there are you know the the Mike
- 3:57Pence principles first faction of the party.
- 4:00Um the the principles basically being to let
- 4:01the left walk all over you, as well
- 4:03as long as we can say we're superior
- 4:05or morally righteous or whatever.
- 4:07But but they basically all uh actually think
- 4:09all but one got primaried out of office,
- 4:12and the effect was so strong that there
- 4:14was actually one Republican up for re-election who
- 4:16did not uh vote or sorry who who
- 4:19did vote to redistrict, but I guess just
- 4:21kind of got caught up in the story
- 4:24and almost lost.
- 4:26But there was enough people who who correctly
- 4:28identified her as being someone who voted for
- 4:30redistricting and did keep her seat.
- 4:32But it was a close uh race.
- 4:34So it did show the knives were out
- 4:36in that election.
- 4:38I and yes, listen, it is Trump's party
- 4:39now.
- 4:40The Republican Party of the, you know, we're
- 4:43we're in a two-party system in this country,
- 4:45but the identity of the party has shifted
- 4:47uh drastically, and that if we were, you
- 4:50know, a European country where there's five major
- 4:52competing parties and they're constantly splitting and re-merging
- 4:55and new ones are popping up.
- 4:57The Trump Party probably would be a signific
- 4:59like a different party from the Republican Party,
- 5:01and it would have a lot of overlap
- 5:04on you know with fiscal conservatism of of
- 5:06the prior GOP.
- 5:08But the identity of the Trump Republican Party
- 5:11is I mean, there's obviously no comparison to
- 5:14the Bush type Republicans and the McCann Republicans.
- 5:17You know, it it's the party has shifted
- 5:19so much, we don't even consider them to
- 5:20be Republicans anymore.
- 5:22And if you look at if you look
- 5:24at this race in Kentucky, too, that's taking
- 5:26place on Tuesday with Massey and Gallren, that
- 5:29is a whole different animal when it comes
- 5:31to Republicans and the people that are supporting
- 5:33Thomas Massey from outside Kentucky 4, which we're
- 5:35gonna get to that race here in a
- 5:37few minutes.
- 5:40Before we do, though, let's go to this
- 5:43clip with Jason Shavitz having a conversation with
- 5:46Senator Cassidy before the polls closed on Saturday.
- 5:50Here, let's listen to this together.
- 5:52You and I got to serve in the
- 5:53in the Congress for a little while.
- 5:55Um, but my question for you is still
- 5:57about Donald Trump.
- 5:58I mean, knowing what you know now about
- 6:01the farce that was put forward to the
- 6:03American people and the Congress, knowing what you
- 6:06know now, would you still vote to actually
- 6:08convict Donald Trump of the charges that he
- 6:11was put up for?
- 6:15Reporters always love to ask that question.
- 6:17I'm a doctor.
- 6:18You give me all the information I can.
- 6:20I make a decision, I move on.
- 6:22I don't keep on going back, oh, what
- 6:23happened five years ago?
- 6:25I'm thinking about what's going to happen five
- 6:26years ago.
- 6:27If I'll be reporting, you just talked about
- 6:28Jason.
- 6:30Let me done for the first time.
- 6:30Let me finish here.
- 6:32You just touted everything you've done for the
- 6:33last five years.
- 6:35Why can't you answer that question?
- 6:37Did you or did you not?
- 6:39Knowing what you know now, which I want
- 6:41you to answer that question, would you or
- 6:43would you not actually vote to convict, knowing
- 6:45what you know now?
- 6:47It's a simple question.
- 6:49Yeah, Jason, you may go back and flagulate
- 6:50yourself over decisions in the past, I do
- 6:52not.
- 6:53I move on.
- 6:54By the way, what I'm talking about is
- 6:56not just the is not just the present,
- 6:58it is the future.
- 7:00By the way, the future also includes that
- 7:00By the way, the future also includes that
- 7:02if somebody wants somebody working for the state
- 7:02if somebody wants somebody working for the state
- 7:04of Louisiana for the future not fixated on
- 7:04of Louisiana for the future not fixated on
- 7:06the past, then polls close at eight o'clock
- 7:06the past, then polls close at 8 o'clock
- 7:08tonight.
- 7:08tonight.
- 7:10Get out there and vote.
- 7:10Get out there and vote.
- 7:11And the people of Louisiana clearly voiced their
- 7:11And the people of Louisiana clearly voiced their
- 7:15opinion to get rid of Senator Cassidy.
- 7:15opinion to to get rid of Senator Cassidy.
- 7:18I I found that clip really interesting in
- 7:18I I found that clip really interesting in
- 7:20that you know, all these years later, he
- 7:21that you know, all these years later, he
- 7:22still cannot admit after all of the hearings
- 7:23still cannot admit after all of the hearings
- 7:25that the Russian hoax was a hoax, that
- 7:26that the Russian hoax was a hoax, that
- 7:27the perfect
- 7:29the perfect phone call to uh uh Ukraine
- 7:31that got Trump impeached, that none of that
- 7:34was reality.
- 7:37He cannot do that, and that's why he
- 7:38lost.
- 7:39That's why he got 24% of the vote
- 7:42after being an incumbent for uh 12 years.
- 7:45Yeah.
- 7:45I mean, the I mean he wouldn't answer
- 7:48the question because the answer is no, which
- 7:50yeah, I guess it's kind of a redeeming
- 7:53quality that he wouldn't, you know, be lying,
- 7:55but it also is still the wrong answer
- 7:58because he's he's still siding with the hoax.
- 8:00And the doctor analogy was so bizarre.
- 8:02If you and I were doctors, and uh
- 8:05you we diagnosed a patient five years ago,
- 8:07and then all this evidence came out that
- 8:09it was fatally wrong.
- 8:11Um, you better hope we then revise and
- 8:14go, oh my god, you know, knowing we
- 8:16know now, absolutely we should change the diagnosis.
- 8:18So it seems like no, he just he
- 8:20doesn't actually think that uh anything should change.
- 8:22And good written to him.
- 8:24Yeah, goodbye.
- 8:25Hopefully, there's a chilling effect to other Republicans.
- 8:27I I think we haven't said this statin
- 8:29yet that there was 16 Republicans in the
- 8:32House and Senate combined that had voted in
- 8:34one of the two uh hoax impeachments to
- 8:36impeach to indict Donald Trump, or to convict
- 8:38rather.
- 8:40Uh four uh was it 14 of them
- 8:42are gone in the Senate, it's only Collins
- 8:44and House Skiramine, and I don't can't remember
- 8:46the two in the House, but basically they're
- 8:47almost all gone.
- 8:49Yeah, good thing.
- 8:50And I think it also shows that the
- 8:52base for Donald Trump, they have a memory
- 8:54like an elephant.
- 8:56They are not forgetting things that people did
- 8:58in Congress to go against Donald Trump, and
- 9:00Thomas Massey is another one of those that
- 9:02we will get to.
- 9:04But before we do, let's go to some
- 9:07losing speech comments that Senator Cassidy gave.
- 9:11This was not the result that I necessarily
- 9:13wanted, but I feel great.
- 9:15When you participate in democracy, sometimes it doesn't
- 9:18turn out the way you want it to.
- 9:20But you don't pound.
- 9:22You don't whine, you don't claim the election
- 9:26was stolen, you don't find a reason why
- 9:29you don't manufacture some excuse.
- 9:33You thank the voters for the privilege of
- 9:35representing the state or the country for as
- 9:37long as you've had that privilege.
- 9:40He's oblivious to everything that has come out
- 9:42in hearings right there where he works over
- 9:44the last five years.
- 9:47And I don't think he's alone in the
- 9:48Senate.
- 9:49I think a lot of guys in the
- 9:51Senate and women, they are oblivious to all
- 9:53of the evidence that has come out over
- 9:55the last five years about the election in
- 9:572020.
- 9:59And uh they should at least be asking
- 10:01the questions.
- 10:02It seems like people like Senator Ron Johnson
- 10:04are really the only ones in the Senate
- 10:06that are asking the real questions about things
- 10:09that happened in 2020.
- 10:11Uh yeah, I agree entirely.
- 10:12And uh, you know, even if the fraud
- 10:15evidence isn't enough to overturn the election, you
- 10:17know, even if it's uh some way smaller
- 10:19scale than we thought, it's still stuff we
- 10:22need to know to prepare against in the
- 10:24future.
- 10:26Um I am you know, if you are
- 10:28in a legal alien in this country, there
- 10:31are a lot of states where in fact
- 10:33most blue states, you can get a driver's
- 10:35license as an illegal alien, and many of
- 10:37the states automatically register you to vote when
- 10:40you get a license.
- 10:42So what do you think happens?
- 10:44And in fact, like when you register to
- 10:45vote, if you if you're and I know
- 10:47this for a fact has happened, I am
- 10:49actually referencing actual cases.
- 10:52If you were an illegal alien on an
- 10:54American college campus and you see a register
- 10:56to vote booth, and you write down your
- 10:58name and apartment or wherever you're saying, you
- 11:01will be registered to vote, and you can
- 11:03you can go to an election and vote.
- 11:05And there's no cross-referencing anywhere to check that
- 11:08you're actually a citizen.
- 11:10So, you know, I I used to think
- 11:12that illegals, you know, if they were going
- 11:13to be mobilized to vote, there would have
- 11:15to be a theft of identities and the
- 11:17legals would have to impersonate them and try
- 11:18to pretend they're them.
- 11:20That's not the case at all.
- 11:22You can just it's so easy to register
- 11:23to vote and fraud.
- 11:25And I don't know which you know, type
- 11:27of voter fraud will be exposed um when
- 11:29more evidence comes out, but we want to
- 11:31know every single detail we can and and
- 11:33mocking uh election integrity after losing is a
- 11:35bizarre thing.
- 11:38Yeah, if we don't know the truth.
- 11:39It would have been hilarious if he tongue-in-cheek
- 11:40claimed the election was stolen.
- 11:42I would have given him that.
- 11:43If we don't know the truth about what
- 11:45happened, we can't fix what was wrong.
- 11:47And you you you dealt with the illegal
- 11:49immigration side of it.
- 11:51What about the drop boxes that we had
- 11:54in cities in blue cities where we know
- 11:56that people dropped off hundreds and hundreds of
- 11:58ballots, and we don't know who they were.
- 12:01We have uh evidence in Atlanta of all
- 12:03these prestige ballots that were all for Joe
- 12:05Biden, and we had at 2 a.m.
- 12:08a big bunch of Joe Biden votes come
- 12:10in and and Donald Trump went the other
- 12:12way.
- 12:14So we have questions.
- 12:16We should ask those questions, and people like
- 12:18Senator Cassidy, who are still oblivious to it,
- 12:20are not helping anything when it comes to
- 12:22election integrity.
- 12:24Let's go to this race that's happening Tuesday
- 12:27in Kentucky, Kentucky for Ed Gallren is the
- 12:29candidate that Donald Trump has endorsed.
- 12:32He's trying to get rid of Thomas Massey,
- 12:35the libertarian there in uh Kentucky.
- 12:37He's been there for 14 years since 2012.
- 12:40He won a special election and then won
- 12:42the regular election in 2012.
- 12:44Here is Donald Trump on Thomas Massey.
- 12:47We got to get rid of this loser.
- 12:49This guy is bad.
- 12:50He's disloyal to the Republican Party.
- 12:53He's disloyal to the people of Kentucky, and
- 12:56most importantly, he is disloyal to the United
- 12:58States of America.
- 13:02And he's got to be voted out of
- 13:03office as soon as possible.
- 13:05And as soon as possible is Tuesday.
- 13:08And it's going to be an interesting to
- 13:09watch.
- 13:10If you pay attention to the polling, early
- 13:12April, the Quantum Insights poll had Thomas Massey
- 13:15winning by seven or eight points.
- 13:18And then, as early May, the Quantum Insights,
- 13:20the same poll, it came out with a
- 13:22larger sampling.
- 13:24I think the one in early April was
- 13:25about 407.
- 13:27The one in early May was about 900,
- 13:29a little over 900, so it was a
- 13:32bigger sampling size.
- 13:34And now it has Gallren ahead by 8%,
- 13:36which is a huge flip.
- 13:38And I don't know that I trust that.
- 13:40I I don't trust it, I'll say that.
- 13:43And then you have the predictive, the predictive
- 13:46markets also are now showing Gallren will win.
- 13:49I think it's 5545 as of Sunday.
- 13:51That's what I got in front of me,
- 13:52which I was looking at.
- 13:53And the thing is, if the poll with
- 13:55with uh Gallren had eight was accurate, the
- 13:57betting odds would be like 90 10 in
- 13:59his favor.
- 14:00Be like 90 ten in his favor.
- 14:01So the market doesn't seem to buy that
- 14:01So the market doesn't seem to buy that
- 14:03poll.
- 14:03poll.
- 14:04And I will say that state level polls,
- 14:04And I I will say that state level
- 14:06the margin of error is often like five
- 14:06polls, the margin of error is often like
- 14:08to ten percent.
- 14:09five to ten percent, in that um Susan
- 14:10In that um, Susan Collins tends to win
- 14:12Collins tends to win her elections in an
- 14:13her elections in an absolute blowout in her
- 14:15absolute blowout in her most recent election.
- 14:15most recent election.
- 14:18I think Quinn A Piac had her losing
- 14:18I think Quinn A Piac had her losing
- 14:20by something comical, like 10 points, and then
- 14:20by something comical, like 10 points, and then
- 14:21she won by a block.
- 14:21she won by a blow.
- 14:24So for for whatever reason, the state level
- 14:24So for whatever reason, the state level polling,
- 14:25polling, maybe it's just the sample isn't isn't
- 14:25maybe it's just the sample isn't isn't big
- 14:27big enough.
- 14:27enough that just doesn't seem to work that
- 14:28That just doesn't seem to work that way.
- 14:28well.
- 14:30Um, among many many other issues with polling.
- 14:33But yeah, it seems to be about a
- 14:34coin flip right now.
- 14:36Um, and nasty is someone who I think
- 14:38wins his elections by you know 70 huge.
- 14:41Yeah.
- 14:41Get 70 plus percent of the the vote
- 14:433500.
- 14:4435 points, 40 points, he usually wins.
- 14:47He's he's never been pressured.
- 14:49Where he is is a Republican area, but
- 14:51um, it does show he is incredibly credibly
- 14:52popular there, or at least was.
- 14:54So I think this will be the biggest
- 14:56test of Trump's power, and uh seems to
- 14:58be working so far.
- 15:01It is a litmus test, I think, for
- 15:02Donald Trump in this race.
- 15:04It's gonna be one to watch for sure,
- 15:06but the thing that I'm seeing on social
- 15:08media that is very uncomfortable to me is
- 15:10the people in influencers that are supporting Thomas
- 15:13Massey.
- 15:15And if you say anything against Thomas Massey,
- 15:18these people to me are anti-Semitic, and they
- 15:20are coming at you because they believe that
- 15:23the Jewish people, APEC, completely control America, which
- 15:26is nuts to me that they believe that.
- 15:29And to me, it shows that the influence
- 15:31of Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, and others has
- 15:33worked effectively on a large group of people
- 15:35in America.
- 15:38These people are not people that live in
- 15:39Kentucky 4.
- 15:40They live all over the country.
- 15:42They are libertarians and loudmouths, and they go
- 15:44after people really hard on social media over
- 15:47Thomas Massey.
- 15:50And when you look at Thomas Massey's record,
- 15:52there isn't much there to see.
- 15:54And I wrote an article on this, Matt.
- 15:56I don't know if you read it.
- 15:57It's been out a couple of weeks ago.
- 15:58It's still going around, but uh basically Thomas
- 16:01Massey passed one piece of legislation for the
- 16:03people of Kentucky 4.
- 16:06That was 12 years ago in 2014.
- 16:08It had to do with the Ohio River
- 16:11in 276 miles along the Ohio River, which
- 16:13happens to be where his district is.
- 16:16Since then, he has passed nothing with his
- 16:18name on it to help his constituency.
- 16:21What he has done is found out in
- 16:232020 by doing what he did to bring
- 16:26everybody back to vote for the CARES Act,
- 16:28uh, have them vote in person instead of
- 16:30by proxy and by voice over the phone,
- 16:32is that it worked in raising a lot
- 16:35of money.
- 16:37If you look at his fundraising, his fundraising
- 16:39since then has gone through the roof and
- 16:42continues, and they are still trying to raise
- 16:44money as of Sunday afternoon for this race
- 16:46that is Tuesday.
- 16:49This money is not for Tuesday.
- 16:50You can't spend it in a day.
- 16:52It can't be spent.
- 16:53So it's for something else.
- 16:54Either Thomas Massey loses the race, he keeps
- 16:57the money, creates a pack, and he lives
- 16:59off that for years as expenses, or he
- 17:01will save it for the general election, which
- 17:04in reality he's not gonna need because it's
- 17:06never a race anyway.
- 17:08As you were saying, it's a 30, 40
- 17:10point race.
- 17:11So he is still trying to fundraise off
- 17:14this grift, to me, is what it is,
- 17:16because he has uh uh a popularity among
- 17:19libertarians across the country, but not for his
- 17:22constituency in Kentucky 4.
- 17:24That's the way I see this.
- 17:26Yeah.
- 17:26You were you were saying too that um
- 17:28if you criticize Massey his supporters on at
- 17:31least in social media where he clin will
- 17:33claim that all you know um his opponent's
- 17:36money is from Israel, it was googling as
- 17:38you said that Massey's largest donor is a
- 17:41pro Jewish pro-Israel Jewish billionaire named Jeffy Os.
- 17:43So he he obviously is also taking money
- 17:45from from Jewish people.
- 17:47So that's you know, that's not um really
- 17:49a component of the race at all.
- 17:51They're they're both taking money from uh those
- 17:52people.
- 17:53So he is uh you know, anyone making
- 17:55those claims should know that.
- 17:56Uh as for the amount of money, um,
- 17:58yes, you can use these packs as a
- 18:00slush fund.
- 18:02In fact, I think it was Mary Pallada,
- 18:04who was a rep in Alaska.
- 18:06I think she beat Sarah Panlin and then
- 18:07lost after that.
- 18:09Um had announced she was gonna run for
- 18:11Senate, spent a bunch of campaign funds she
- 18:14had, and then never actually ran for Senate,
- 18:16but just the announcement enabled her to spend
- 18:18all the money.
- 18:21So Adam Kinzinger is a Kinzinger in Illinois,
- 18:23is a great example.
- 18:26He announced that he was retiring from the
- 18:27House.
- 18:29He joined the J6 committee, and he raised
- 18:31three times the amount of money that he
- 18:33had ever raised in an election cycle when
- 18:35he announced that he was retiring.
- 18:37And that was only because he was on
- 18:39that J6 committee.
- 18:40So something needs to be fixed there about
- 18:42what uh former politicians can do with that
- 18:45money when they go out of office, or
- 18:47we're gonna continue to see things like this.
- 18:50It's gonna be interesting to watch.
- 18:51Here's what I think, Matt.
- 18:52I think that Thomas Massey will actually win
- 18:55this race in Kentucky 4.
- 18:57And I think he's gonna do it a
- 18:59little bit more than people think.
- 19:00I don't think it's gonna be as close.
- 19:02That's my gut feeling on this from everything
- 19:04that I'm seeing that I believe that Massey
- 19:06is going to be safe, and he will
- 19:08continue to be the obstructionist that he has
- 19:10become.
- 19:12He is one versus 434 in the House
- 19:14of Representatives.
- 19:16And unfortunately, it doesn't do anything as uh
- 19:19you try to progress the Trump agenda.
- 19:22That's the way I see it.
- 19:23It's gonna be close.
- 19:25Nobody really knows.
- 19:26I don't even know, but that's the way
- 19:27I predict it.
- 19:28Matt, do you want to add anything to
- 19:29that?
- 19:30Oh, just be a contrarian and say he'll
- 19:31lose.
- 19:33Well, that's fine.
- 19:34We can have something to talk about next
- 19:35week.
- 19:36Yeah, we'll have something to talk about next
- 19:37week.
- 19:38And then Spencer Pratt in my desk for
- 19:39the show.
- 19:40Yeah, you like Spencer Pratt.
- 19:41Yeah, I went against him as well in
- 19:42Los Angeles.
- 19:44I mean, it it's a one in four
- 19:46chance if the odds are to be believed.
- 19:48But it's still not, you know, it's bad
- 19:49but not terrible.
- 19:51Donald Trump went to China.

- 21:49And welcome back to the truth be told
- 21:51here on a Monday night visiting with Matt
- 21:53Palumbo, as we always do.
- 21:55Matt, you told me before we started the
- 21:58show tonight that your daughter, by the way,
- 22:00is coming up on one in November.
- 22:02So what is she nine months now?
- 22:04She has six months.
- 22:06Six months.
- 22:07Okay, well, my math is terrible.
- 22:09It's all good.
- 22:10She she has started crawling.
- 22:12Congratulations.
- 22:12That's a backwards only, though.
- 22:14Backwards only.
- 22:16So I don't know if that means she's
- 22:17halfway there or is a hundred percent in
- 22:18the wrong direction.
- 22:20Yeah, I think it means you're gonna have
- 22:21your hands full, is what that means.
- 22:24Yeah, I would take that as an omen
- 22:25if that's the case.
- 22:26Okay, Donald Trump goes to China.
- 22:28What do you make of the trip to
- 22:29China?
- 22:31It's one of those things where I learned
- 22:33about that it was happening on this show
- 22:34with you, and then proceeded to not watching
- 22:36because I was too busy with my daughter,
- 22:38but uh watching her walk backwards.
- 22:40Yeah, you were watching her walk backwards is
- 22:42what you were saying.
- 22:44Crawl backwards.
- 22:45I'm sorry.
- 22:46As the country was hopefully moving forward.
- 22:49I think this trip uh, you know, I
- 22:51think it was about semiconductors.
- 22:53I think it mainly was about artificial intelligence
- 22:56and that 21st century arms race.
- 22:58I believe that's what it was.
- 23:00And I I you know that maybe there
- 23:01were more things.
- 23:03I know that Trump is trying to put
- 23:05some pressure on G to put pressure on
- 23:07Iran so that he can end that, because
- 23:09that also needs to come to an end.
- 23:11Uh but you know, there were some things
- 23:13that have some of the base of Trump
- 23:16upset coming back from that meeting and conversations
- 23:18with Brett Baer and also on Hannity when
- 23:20it comes to 500,000 students in America from
- 23:23China.
- 23:25I I don't know that his answer there
- 23:28was Let's listen, let's listen to the clip
- 23:30and then we can talk about it.
- 23:33In case in case somebody missed it like
- 23:35you, then let's let's listen to that one
- 23:36clip.
- 23:38That's the whole part I did attention to.
- 23:40Here it is.
- 23:40I would assume I'm in Beijing if I
- 23:43wanted to buy property near one of their
- 23:45military installations.
- 23:48I don't think President Chi.
- 23:52You want to see farm prices drop.
- 23:54You want to see farmers lose a lot
- 23:55of money, just take that out of the
- 23:56market.
- 23:58Uh, but uh they've had a lot of
- 24:00land for a long time.
- 24:03Obama did nothing about it.
- 24:05They bought a lot of it during the
- 24:06Obama administration.
- 24:08He did nothing about it.
- 24:10As far as the students, it's 500,000 students
- 24:13they come, good students.
- 24:16Uh I could tell them I don't want
- 24:19any students is a very insulting thing to
- 24:22say to a country.
- 24:26I don't have a problem with insulting our
- 24:27number one adversary.
- 24:29Do you, Matt?
- 24:31No, and and there are like a ton
- 24:33of colleges in this country where between 30
- 24:36and 50 percent of the population of them
- 24:38is foreign-born, meaning if we didn't have international
- 24:41students, the de facto indoctrination factories would completely
- 24:44collapse.
- 24:46Yeah.
- 24:47Um, we probably have way more colleges than
- 24:48we need.
- 24:50And part of the reason they can charge
- 24:52what they charge, and and Trump's actually fixed
- 24:54this by capping how much money you can
- 24:56borrow, at least in part, but a large
- 24:58part of the reason it's so expensive is
- 24:59because there is endless demand for it.
- 25:02So, yeah, if you reduce the demand, you
- 25:03can reduce the price as well.
- 25:05I think there should be fewer colleges, they
- 25:07should maybe merge or consolidate or whatever.
- 25:09Um, when it comes to um Trump, though,
- 25:12talking about the 500,000 Chinese college students, he
- 25:16actually has drastically already reduced the number of
- 25:19foreign students coming.
- 25:22So I think he's sort of balancing rhetoric
- 25:25and policy where he's trying to um I
- 25:28I don't know, appease China in making a
- 25:31statement like that.
- 25:34But the the actual reality is, and I
- 25:35don't know if it's I the numbers I've
- 25:37seen are for all foreign students, they are
- 25:39down significantly.
- 25:41Um Trump has also done this with uh
- 25:43illegal immigration, and that the administration has publicly
- 25:46pushed a narrative that they're going after criminal
- 25:49illegal aliens first, and I mean every illegal
- 25:51alien is a criminal, but by criminal they
- 25:54mean you know, people who've committed offenses and
- 25:56presumably violent offenses in addition to being here
- 25:59illegally.
- 26:02And I I think they're pushing that narrative
- 26:04because it's just what you know that has
- 26:07you know 90 whatever percent approval.
- 26:10No one disagrees with that, right?
- 26:11Even though we need to get rid of
- 26:13all the legals, but in actual practice, they're
- 26:15just supporting anyone they can, which is obviously
- 26:17what we want.
- 26:18But it's another case where there's a there's
- 26:21a public um, you know, perception versus what's
- 26:23actually happening thing where they're trying to balance
- 26:25both, where the right thing to do is
- 26:27I would say no foreign college students.
- 26:30The popular thing is that you know, in
- 26:32this case with China is to say you're
- 26:34letting them in, and with illegal immigration, everyone's
- 26:36for even most democrats are for getting rid
- 26:37of ones that have committed other crimes, but
- 26:39in reality, we need all of them gone,
- 26:41and that's what they're doing.
- 26:43So Hannity started that questioning off with land
- 26:46being bought by Chinese here in America, and
- 26:49I think Trump sort of brushed that off,
- 26:52but in reality, when you look at it,
- 26:55Canada owns more land in America than anyone
- 26:58else at 15.4 million acres.
- 27:01China is way down that list.
- 27:03The problem I have with the land that
- 27:05China owns, and it's not China, the government,
- 27:07it's companies and uh individuals that own property
- 27:10in America is where that land is, which
- 27:12it happens to be really close to military
- 27:14bases.
- 27:16Let's go on with this clip here from
- 27:18Donald Trump because I think he's gonna get
- 27:20into a little bit about what you were
- 27:22just talking about, schools collapsing if he did
- 27:24not allow uh you know 500,000 Chinese students
- 27:26in America.
- 27:29They would then immediately go out and start
- 27:31building universities all over China.
- 27:33But if you don't have those students, good
- 27:34students, by the way.
- 27:36If you don't, and and we do another
- 27:37thing, you know, if they're good and they
- 27:39want to stay in America, we we won't
- 27:40give them a green card and things like
- 27:41that.
- 27:43Um, you know, I've and that not only
- 27:45them, but other other countries.
- 27:47But if you want to see a university
- 27:49system die, take a half a million people
- 27:51out of it.
- 27:53Yeah, well, maybe we should, man, to your
- 27:55point.
- 27:56I I don't think that that's a bad
- 27:57thing.
- 27:58I think that uh uh some of these
- 28:00Some of these colleges are a hoax at
- 28:00colleges are a hoax at this point.
- 28:01this point.
- 28:02I don't think that we need as many
- 28:02I don't think that we need as many
- 28:03as we have.
- 28:03as we have.
- 28:04It's become such a huge business, and I
- 28:04It's become such a huge business.
- 28:06I just don't know.
- 28:06And I I just don't know.
- 28:08Uh let's go to another clip here of
- 28:08Uh let's go to another clip here of
- 28:10Donald Trump with Brett Bear.
- 28:10Donald Trump with Brett Baer.
- 28:12This took place.
- 28:12This took place.
- 28:13By the way, last night we talked the
- 28:13By the way, last night we talked the
- 28:15whole night about that issue.
- 28:15whole night about that issue.
- 28:16I think um I know more about Taiwan
- 28:16I think um I know more about Taiwan
- 28:19right now than I know about almost any
- 28:19right now than I know about almost any
- 28:21country that dominated the talk.
- 28:21country that dominated the talk.
- 28:24It it's always been his most important thing
- 28:24It it it's always been his most important
- 28:26for the reason why it's the most important
- 28:26thing for the reason why it's the most
- 28:28thing.
- 28:29important thing for Xi, the reunification with Taiwan
- 28:31is the semiconductors, which has to do with
- 28:34artificial intelligence.
- 28:36And again, I believe that's why Donald Trump
- 28:38went.
- 28:39You know, one thing a lot of people
- 28:41on the left were doing is they were
- 28:43saying, Well, he's taking all the CEOs, Elon
- 28:45Musk and all these others.
- 28:47Did you happen to see any of that
- 28:48conversation, Matt?
- 28:50Yeah, and the reason they took Elon Musk
- 28:52is when Elon Musk does an enormous amount
- 28:54of business in China, so it would make
- 28:57sense to bring someone like him.
- 28:59Um I think it was the CEO of
- 29:01Nvidia he brought as well, and again, that's
- 29:02the biggest chip company on the planet.
- 29:04So it it makes perfect sense you bring
- 29:05them.
- 29:06Well, he brought a lot of CEOs, and
- 29:08the left was going nuts about it.
- 29:10And then they they say that the CEOs
- 29:12did nothing.
- 29:14They couldn't get anything from China, so it
- 29:15was a failure.
- 29:16So which one do you want it?
- 29:17Which way do you want it?
- 29:19Him not taking them or them going and
- 29:20not getting anything.
- 29:22It you know, it just doesn't make any
- 29:23sense.
- 29:25I would say this that the last time
- 29:27a president went to China was Donald Trump
- 29:29in 2017, and he had more CEOs with
- 29:31him then than he did on this trip.
- 29:34And nobody seemed to talk about it then.
- 29:36Let's continue on with this uh clip about
- 29:38Taiwan and the chips that Donald Trump was
- 29:40talking about with Brett Banner.
- 29:42Yeah, I knew him years ago.
- 29:43I've known him now 11 years, 12 years.
- 29:46Uh it's always been the biggest thing for
- 29:47him, Taiwan.
- 29:49Now, with me, I don't think they'll do
- 29:51anything when I'm here.
- 29:53When I'm not here, I think they might,
- 29:54to be honest with you.
- 29:56So I've I'm not sure that they do
- 29:58anything if it remained as is.
- 30:00But they have somebody there now that wants
- 30:02to go independent.
- 30:03Well, it's a risky thing when you go
- 30:05independent, you know, they're going independent because they
- 30:07want to get into a war and they
- 30:09want to they figure they have a United
- 30:10States behind them.
- 30:12Uh I'd like to see it stay the
- 30:13way it is.
- 30:15And I'll tell you something.
- 30:16I'll make a little news.
- 30:17I'd like to see everybody making chips over
- 30:19in Taiwan come into America, because to be
- 30:20honest with you, I think it's the greatest
- 30:22thing you can do.
- 30:24Because it's a heated situation.
- 30:25There's no question about it.
- 30:27And uh as you know, we have uh
- 30:29massive amounts of chip companies now from Taiwan
- 30:31already coming in.
- 30:34We expect to have 40 to 50 percent
- 30:35of the world chip business by the end
- 30:37of my term.
- 30:38And that is so important.
- 30:40If you go back to the first trip
- 30:42Donald Trump took as president, he went to
- 30:44the Middle East, he brought back trillions of
- 30:46dollars, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and others, and that
- 30:48money was for semiconductors and chips here in
- 30:50America.
- 30:53A lot of it was, probably half of
- 30:54that money of those trillions were for that
- 30:56reason.
- 30:57Now we have all these data centers going
- 30:59up and things like that.
- 31:00But if you are able to create the
- 31:03chips and the semiconductors here in America for
- 31:07the intelligence explosion that we are at the
- 31:10dawn of, then you take away China's uh
- 31:13desire for Taiwan, which alleviates that problem.
- 31:16So that's another key thing to this trip,
- 31:18and I really believe it was the reason
- 31:20for this trip.
- 31:22There were other things along the way, and
- 31:24uh I guess that uh Xi has agreed
- 31:26to buy soybeans and uh L and G
- 31:28and oil from America, which would be great
- 31:30if it ever happens.
- 31:33I would remind everyone again that it was
- 31:35Xi that agreed to buy more soybeans from
- 31:38America last year when there was the tariff
- 31:40and the trade war going on.
- 31:43He agreed to buy 14 billion dollars worth
- 31:44of soybeans.
- 31:46He actually the China actually bought two billion
- 31:47dollars.
- 31:49So again, China cheats, lies, and steals.
- 31:52They don't believe anything that they actually say
- 31:54because it it probably won't come to pass.
- 31:57Uh so that's the way I see this
- 31:59Chinese trip.
- 32:00And I I do have a couple of
- 32:02other clips.
- 32:03Let's go to ABC.
- 32:06Um actually that's Iran.
- 32:07So let's g save Stepanopoulos here for a
- 32:09few more minutes.
- 32:11And let's go to um this with Brett
- 32:14Bear, another follow-up clip with Brett Bear.
- 32:17You know, when you look at the odds,
- 32:20China's a very, very powerful big country.
- 32:22That's a very small island.
- 32:24It's uh you think of it, it's 59
- 32:27miles away, 59 miles.
- 32:29Uh we're 9,500 miles away.
- 32:32Uh that's a little bit of a difficult
- 32:34problem.
- 32:37This answer sort of bothered me a little
- 32:39bit also.
- 32:41And again, I don't know if that's one
- 32:43of those answers that you were talking about
- 32:45that just take some pressure off of China
- 32:47and Xi, but I don't know that you
- 32:50want to give up the leverage of defending
- 32:52Taiwan when you're 59 miles away uh from
- 32:54China, the big country with the big military.
- 32:57With all of that uh being said, you
- 32:59know, if you look at the history of
- 33:01Taiwan, Taiwan was uh developed because we had
- 33:03presidents that didn't know what the hell they
- 33:05were doing, because if they would have put
- 33:08tariffs on chips coming in, it would they
- 33:10would have never left.
- 33:12Everything was about Intel, and everything was about
- 33:14our chip companies.
- 33:16They stole our chip industry.
- 33:18So I've said that for years.
- 33:20I said, you know, for years they stole
- 33:21our chip.
- 33:22If we would have had one of our
- 33:24presidents just say, we're gonna say, we're gonna
- 33:26put a hundred percent chip.
- 33:28You can leave, you can build in Taiwan,
- 33:29but we're gonna you sell it back into
- 33:30the United States.
- 33:32We're gonna put a hundred percent or two
- 33:33hundred percent tariff.
- 33:34We would have never lost a chip.
- 33:36We lost the chip industry.
- 33:38It's all coming back.
- 33:39And I do say this.
- 33:40Uh Taiwan would be very smart to cool
- 33:44it a little bit.
- 33:47China would be very smart to cool it
- 33:48a little bit.
- 33:49They ought to both cool it.
- 33:51He wants them both to cool it, Matt.
- 33:53And another part of this trip was about
- 33:55Iran, too.
- 33:56And let's get to Iran.
- 33:58It looks like this thing is uh just
- 34:00not really going anywhere.
- 34:02Unfortunately, yeah.
- 34:03It seems like we're gonna uh eight dollar
- 34:04gas pretty soon at this rate.
- 34:06Yeah, it's four dollars and fifty cents.
- 34:08That's gonna have an effect on what happens
- 34:10in the midterm if that doesn't come down.
- 34:12And you and I have both consistently said
- 34:14this from the beginning of this conflict that
- 34:17when it is over and the Strait of
- 34:19Hormuz is opened up, the gas prices are
- 34:21gonna come down really quick and really low.
- 34:24There's a lot of oil.
- 34:25From what I understand, Iran is pumping oil
- 34:27on the ground now, so uh they're trying
- 34:29to keep those rigs pumping.
- 34:31They don't want to turn them off because
- 34:33they may not ever come back on.
- 34:34But let's listen to this clip here of
- 34:37former defense secretary Robert Gates, who was on
- 34:39a Sunday show.
- 34:42He was on CBS with Margaret Brennan.
- 34:44The last time we spoke, last spring, we
- 34:47were just weeks away from that U.S.
- 34:50Israeli strike on the three nuclear sites in
- 34:52Iran.
- 34:54You said at that time, it was May.
- 34:57When you were defense secretary, you were concerned
- 34:59that a strike on the nuclear program would
- 35:00A strike on the nuclear program would just
- 35:02just buy time, a year or two, but
- 35:02buy time, a year or two, but it
- 35:04it would not solve the problem.
- 35:04would not solve the problem.
- 35:06Do you still believe that?
- 35:06Do you still believe that?
- 35:08I think the only way that we are
- 35:09I think the only way that we are
- 35:12likely to get the enriched uranium out of
- 35:12likely to get the enriched uranium out of
- 35:15out of Iran and uh bring about an
- 35:15to out of Iran and uh bring about
- 35:18an end uh to their nuclear aspirations is
- 35:18end uh to their nuclear aspirations is through
- 35:21through a negotiation.
- 35:21a negotiation.
- 35:25Is it possible for the president of the
- 35:25Is it possible for the president of the
- 35:26United States to walk away and leave this
- 35:27United States to walk away and leave this
- 35:28for the
- 35:29for the Israelis to settle?
- 35:32No, I don't think he can walk away.
- 35:35And no, I don't think the Israelis can
- 35:36settle it.
- 35:38Um I don't think as powerful as they
- 35:40are, that they don't have the kind of
- 35:42power the United States has.
- 35:45And I think the president seems to have
- 35:47been very consistent and very clear that under
- 35:49no circumstances can Iran ever have a nuclear
- 35:52bomb.
- 35:54Well, the only way you get to that
- 35:57objective is resolving this issue of the enriched
- 36:01uranium and any future plans uh for um
- 36:04for enrichment.
- 36:08You know, Matt, a lot of people have
- 36:10different ideas about former Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
- 36:13But if you listen to him, he sounds
- 36:14like he is on board with what Trump
- 36:16has done.
- 36:18The decision has been made, he's gone in
- 36:19there.
- 36:20Uh we have done what we have done,
- 36:22and he's saying we have to finish it.
- 36:24And I have a little bit more uh
- 36:26from him in that same interview.
- 36:27But what are your thoughts there on Robert
- 36:30Gates and uh his comments to Margaret Brennan?
- 36:34Well, he's right that we have to finish
- 36:34it.
- 36:35If we were to, you know, half ass
- 36:37it or outsource it's Israel or some other
- 36:39country, it shows uh enormous amount of weakened
- 36:41the center apart, and it makes everything Trump
- 36:44did look like a bluff.
- 36:46So yeah, there is no choice.
- 36:48Well, let's let him finish up because he
- 36:51talks about uh the good things that Donald
- 36:53Trump and this mission has accomplished, and he
- 36:55thinks that what Donald Trump has said from
- 36:58the very beginning was very clear, contrary to
- 37:00what Margaret Brennan and the left want you
- 37:03to believe about Iran and Donald Trump and
- 37:05his administration.
- 37:07Listen to former Defense Secretary Robert Gates here.
- 37:19I think that there were some unrealistic expectations.
- 37:23Have you heard a clearly articulated sort of
- 37:26center of gravity of this operation, an end
- 37:28goal, uh a strategy?
- 37:31Well, I think some of the justifications have
- 37:33have changed over time, but one thing I
- 37:35think there have been a few things that
- 37:37have been consistent from the very beginning.
- 37:40One is um to eliminate Iran's ability to
- 37:42have a nuclear weapon.
- 37:46Another is to uh eliminate their uh military
- 37:50capabilities uh to attack their neighbors.
- 37:54The third is to uh eliminate the capability
- 37:57to support their surrogates, the Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis,
- 38:00uh to sink their Navy.
- 38:04Uh I think those are all those were
- 38:06have all been articulated as objectives of this
- 38:08operation.
- 38:11And uh although the nuclear program has been
- 38:13dramatically damaged and set back a long time,
- 38:16I think those other things uh a lot
- 38:19has been accomplished.
- 38:22I think I agree with him on everything
- 38:24that he said.
- 38:25I see it the way that he does.
- 38:26I think that the mission has been pretty
- 38:28clearly stated.
- 38:30No nuclear weapons.
- 38:31We want to do some damage to what
- 38:34they can do to the other Arab nations,
- 38:36including Israel, and they have done that.
- 38:38They sunk the Navy.
- 38:39Those things have been done, and I think
- 38:41Robert Gates is right on track there with
- 38:43what he just said.
- 38:44I mean, there's there's no denying we've made
- 38:46an enormous amount of progress.
- 38:48I mean, the unfortunate reality for Trump is
- 38:50that we can't, you know, show people what
- 38:52the counterfactual is.
- 38:54We we can't um, you know, uh show
- 38:56the from the perspective of God, you know,
- 38:58turn back the clock and say, okay, here's
- 39:00what the world will look like if Trump
- 39:02didn't do this, and guess what?
- 39:04Twenty years from now they launch a nuclear
- 39:06weapon and hundreds of thousands of people die.
- 39:09Uh when you when you the thing is
- 39:11when you prevent a tragedy down the road,
- 39:13no one knows you prevented a tragedy.
- 39:15So from the perspective of voters, it's just
- 39:17high gas prices and chaos.
- 39:18Uh you don't you don't get to see
- 39:20the counterfactual that's unfortunate.
- 39:21I want to go to a report that
- 39:23the New York Times put out, and it
- 39:25is being repeated in other publications.
- 39:27Now they said that intelligence findings from early
- 39:30May show Iran has regained operational access to
- 39:33most of most of its missile sites, including
- 39:3630 of the 33 missile sites along the
- 39:38Strait of Hormuz, citing people familiar with the
- 39:41assessments.
- 39:44The newspaper said Iran still possesses roughly 70%
- 39:48of its pre-war missile stockpile and mobile launchers.
- 39:51And I don't know how in the world
- 39:53that's even possible.
- 39:54So consider the source there in the New
- 39:56York Times.
- 39:57Watch for that narrative to come from the
- 39:59mainstream media, but know that uh Robert Gates
- 40:02agrees with what Donald Trump's is say is
- 40:04saying and what he is doing.
- 40:06And I think we just have to have
- 40:08patience here, continue to have patience.
- 40:10The gas prices will come down when this
- 40:12is resolved.
- 40:13Hopefully we will pray for resolution quickly.
- 40:16Amen.
- 40:17I'm Doug Evans, author of the Sprout Book.

- 40:26Did you know that you could take seeds,

- 40:32three to five days without soil, sunshine, or
- 40:35fertilizer for under a dollar a serving?
- 40:38That's the miracle of sprouting, and I want
- 40:41to share that with you.

- 40:55Well, not all energy bars are soft and
- 40:57sugary.
- 40:59Bear bars are a crunchy savory bar made
- 41:02from just six simple natural ingredients.
- 41:06Bear bars are plant-based, organic gluten-free, contain six
- 41:09grams of protein and are low temperature dried
- 41:11for unique crunch.
- 41:15Most energy bars are based on chocolate or
- 41:17fruit and are held together with syrups or

- 41:45national security hour with the two mics, and
- 41:47coming up in a few minutes.
- 41:49It is unleashed the political news hour.
- 41:51I'm Booker.
- 41:52This is the truth be told, and Matt
- 41:54Palumbo is sitting with me for Mondays with
- 41:56Matt, as he always does on Monday night.
- 41:59Let's get into Cuba.
- 42:00Cuba.

- 42:12a jail somewhere in America.
- 42:14Well, we turned our attention to Cuba because
- 42:14Well, we turned our attention to Cuba because
- 42:17they got all of their oil from Venezuela.
- 42:17they got all of their oil from Venezuela.
- 42:21They have no oil and they have no
- 42:21They have no oil and they have no

- 42:22electricity.
- 42:24And we saw Jay Paul a couple of
- 42:24And we saw Jay Paul a couple of
- 42:26weeks ago where she announced that she is
- 42:26weeks ago where she announced that she is
- 42:27trying to help the
- 42:28trying to help the Cuban country going against
- 42:30the 60-year embargo that has been in place
- 42:32forever.
- 42:34When that's a whole other story.
- 42:36We really didn't touch on that at the
- 42:37time, but it happened.
- 42:38Let's go to this news nation report that
- 42:40was filed Friday night.
- 42:42And listen to this about Cuba, what is
- 42:44going on there?
- 42:46Cuba is facing extreme fuel shortages and growing
- 42:49unrest, and a rare visit from the CIA
- 42:53director as pressure on the communist government intensifies.
- 42:56CIA director John Radcliffe traveled to Havana on
- 42:59Thursday for meetings with Cuba's Interior Minister and
- 43:01the intelligence chief, Ratcliffe, putting pressure on Cuban
- 43:03officials to stabilize the country's economy and work
- 43:06with the Trump administration on security and economic
- 43:08issues.
- 43:11The talks come as the Trump administration continues
- 43:13ramping up the pressure on Cuba, including what
- 43:15Politico has described as a de facto fuel
- 43:17embargo following the U.S.
- 43:19operation targeting former Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro earlier
- 43:22this year.
- 43:24Cuba is now dealing with several diesel shortages
- 43:26and widespread blackouts, with some parts of Havana
- 43:28reportedly losing power for more than 20 hours
- 43:30a day.
- 43:33The crisis is spilling into the streets.
- 43:35Protesters in Havana have been banging pots, blocking
- 43:37roads, and demanding electricity as frustration grows over
- 43:39the collapsing power grid.
- 43:42We talked with a former U.S.
- 43:43intelligence official who says that the threat that
- 43:46Cuba is posing is only growing.
- 43:48It's quickly becoming a threat to the U.S.,
- 43:51not only from a military standpoint, but also
- 43:54because the infrastructure is falling apart.
- 43:58We may have and we may see something
- 44:00somewhat of what we saw in the early
- 44:0280s, a max exodus of humans trying to
- 44:04reach the U.S.
- 44:06They may claim that they that the U.S.
- 44:09is the bad guy, but for many years,
- 44:12for 67 years, it's been a communist country
- 44:15that has denied a Cubans freedom to elect
- 44:18who they want to be their politician.
- 44:21But Cuba's ambassador to the U.S.
- 44:22is pushing back, saying, quote, we are not
- 44:24a threat to the U.S., we are a
- 44:26small island that wants only to be left
- 44:27alone to decide our future.
- 44:29But if illegal aliens come into America from
- 44:32Cuba, then it is a national security risk.
- 44:36Matt, what do you make of this in
- 44:37Cuba?
- 44:38We kind of called it.
- 44:39We knew this was coming.
- 44:40I really thought it would have already happened,
- 44:42but it seems like everything happens a little
- 44:43bit slower than I wanted or predicted, either
- 44:45way.
- 44:47Well, you know, we had a policy for
- 44:49many decades in this country where if a
- 44:51Cuban just showed up on our soil, we
- 44:53would take them in because we assume they
- 44:55were a political refugee or something of that
- 44:57sort.
- 44:59They were fleeing communism.
- 45:01Uh it was actually Joe Biden who ended
- 45:03that policy.
- 45:04And it seems crazy.
- 45:07Like, why would the guy who opened up
- 45:09America's borders to the entire rest of the
- 45:11world then for some reason deny it to
- 45:13Cuba?
- 45:15Well, you look at how they vote in
- 45:16Miami, and it makes quite a lot of
- 45:18sense.
- 45:19But it was entirely politically motivated.
- 45:21He knew that if they became citizens down
- 45:23the line, they would break 60, 40 or
- 45:2470, 30 Republican and then got rid of
- 45:26that.
- 45:28So I I guess for once we can
- 45:30thank Joe Biden for potentially helping us on
- 45:32a border issue.
- 45:34Uh, but we'll be you know, the argument
- 45:36I hear a lot that and these are
- 45:38liberals justifying illegal immigration.
- 45:40They'll say things like, well, we messed up
- 45:42their home country, so they had no choice
- 45:43to come here.
- 45:45And my my response is always okay.
- 45:48First of all, citing the example of the
- 45:49country we screwed up and how many people
- 45:51we brought in.
- 45:52Second of all, what their neighbors couldn't take
- 45:54them in?
- 45:56I mean, there's what a hundred and eighty
- 45:57plus countries.
- 45:58Uh uh less than two hundred.
- 46:00But there's a lot of countries in the
- 46:02world that they could go to besides the
- 46:03U.S.
- 46:05And third of all, we're allowed to say
- 46:06no.
- 46:08Even if it was objectively the case that
- 46:10we caused a refugee crisis in a country,
- 46:12logically speaking, why would you want to take
- 46:14a population that hates you because of what
- 46:16you did?
- 46:19So I just don't buy uh their arguments
- 46:20for that reason.
- 46:22And I I don't think we're gonna see
- 46:23a humanitarian crisis if we try to fix
- 46:24Cuba.
- 46:26I mean, you can't get worse than communism.
- 46:29No.
- 46:29And people on the left, they seem to
- 46:31forget the Cuban Missile Crisis and what was
- 46:33happening way back then.
- 46:35Let's go to Marco Rubio and some comments
- 46:37he made on Cuba on Air Force One
- 46:38recently.
- 46:40Let's listen to this.
- 46:42In the case of Cuba is a very
- 46:43different situation.
- 46:44There is no economy in Cuba.
- 46:47The to the extent there's any wealth in
- 46:48Cuba, it doesn't go it doesn't forget about
- 46:50it doesn't go to the people.
- 46:51It doesn't even go to the government.
- 46:53The wealth is controlled by a private, by
- 46:55a company owned by military generals.
- 46:57They take all the money.
- 46:58They're sitting on billions of dollars.
- 47:00Okay, this is a country where people are
- 47:02literally now eating garbage from the streets.
- 47:04But they have a company that controls all
- 47:06of the money making there that's sitting on
- 47:0815, 16 billion dollars.
- 47:10So it's a broken, non-functional economy.
- 47:13And then you have to ask the question
- 47:15what will happen when it finally does collapse?
- 47:17Who is going to be in charge there?
- 47:20You hear a lot of different things.
- 47:22You know that the people of Cuba want
- 47:24to create their own government, but then you
- 47:26could end up with another Haiti.
- 47:28Let's be honest about it.
- 47:30Yeah, I mean, in the issue in the
- 47:32um huge example, though, the they he murdered
- 47:34the entire host population that was uh, you
- 47:36know, knew how to run the place.
- 47:38So they kind of shot themselves in the
- 47:39foot there.
- 47:41Um, you know, I I can't think of
- 47:43any examples of a of a communist country
- 47:45giving up communism and then things getting worse.
- 47:48The only sort of exception would be, you
- 47:50know, there being a rocky transition for a
- 47:52few years where there's gonna be turbulence where
- 47:54certain government agencies uh you know no longer
- 47:56exist, and those people don't have jobs for
- 47:58you know a few months or years or
- 48:00whatever.
- 48:02But in the long run, you know, 10
- 48:04years out, things are always way better.
- 48:06I think America is ratcheting up the pressure
- 48:09on Cuba right now because there is an
- 48:11indictment coming for the brother of Fidel Castro.
- 48:14He's now 94 years old.
- 48:16His name is Raul Castro.
- 48:18Let's listen to this from News Nation, another
- 48:20part of that report I played earlier.
- 48:22Intentions may grow even more as the U.S.
- 48:25is eyeing an indictment against former Cuban president
- 48:29Raul Castro, saying it's tied to the 1996
- 48:32downing of humanitarian aid planes in the country.
- 48:36Now it's not clear on the timing of
- 48:38that, but people familiar with it say that
- 48:40it's eminent and could happen anytime.
- 48:43Have you heard anything about that, Matt, or
- 48:44is that news to you?
- 48:46I heard that it's both eminent and could
- 48:47happen at any time.
- 48:50It's pretty good clarifying.
- 48:51Yeah.
- 48:52Um I saw this wall.
- 48:54I mean, I think it's almost comical that
- 48:55we're going after a 94-year-old, but it it
- 48:57shows that we don't forget, and you're you
- 48:59really cannot escape us, and we're not we're
- 49:00Really cannot escape us, and we're not we're
- 49:00not gonna uh um let anyone get away
- 49:01not gonna uh um let anyone get away
- 49:02with anything.
- 49:02with anything.
- 49:04Well, it's a 30 year crime allegedly, but
- 49:04Well, it's a 30-year crime allegedly, but is
- 49:06yeah, is it uh more for messaging here
- 49:06it uh more for messaging here for the
- 49:08for the people of Cuba?
- 49:08people of Cuba?
- 49:11I think that's what it is.
- 49:11I think that's what it is.
- 49:12That's why I said kind of set it
- 49:12That's why I said kind of set it
- 49:14up that way that this is about something
- 49:14up that way that this is about something
- 49:16more than just indicting a 94 year old
- 49:17more than just indicting a 94-year-old who happened
- 49:18who happened to be president of Cuba at
- 49:19to be president of Cuba at one time.
- 49:19one time.
- 49:21This is messaging.
- 49:21This is messaging.
- 49:23This is decapitating the top.
- 49:23This is decapitating the top.
- 49:25This is doing uh an end to the
- 49:25This is doing uh an end to the
- 49:27Castros who brought.
- 49:28Castros who brought in communism into the country.
- 49:31Yeah, I don't mean to imply that like
- 49:3290 year olds the laws don't apply to
- 49:34the last year.
- 49:35No, I didn't take it that way.
- 49:36But you're right, yeah.
- 49:37No, you made a good point, but I
- 49:39just think that it means more than they
- 49:41hey, by the way, we're going after 94-year-old
- 49:43Castro here.
- 49:46There is a message here in this indictment.
- 49:48I believe that's why the DOJ is going
- 49:50to do this indictment.
- 49:51So watch for that as she said it's
- 49:52imminent.
- 49:54So look for it this week.
- 49:55Who knows when that will come?
- 49:57Let's remember the Keystone pipeline for a moment,
- 49:59and way back when Obama was president, and
- 50:02you had Doug Bergram, who had just become
- 50:04the governor of the state of North Dakota
- 50:06when this happened.
- 50:09Do you remember all of that happening?
- 50:10It's been a while.
- 50:11It's been 10, 11, 12 years ago.
- 50:13Well, fine.
- 50:14Yeah, you remember it?
- 50:15I was going to say that was like
- 50:17the environmental issue of the Obama era.
- 50:19That was uh just the recurring thing they
- 50:21were obsessed with more than anything.
- 50:23And Obama was uh encouraging it.
- 50:25He was putting his finger on it.
- 50:27He was using people like Greenpeace.
- 50:29Well, there was a big uh big court
- 50:32uh uh trial, and Greenpeace was fined 345
- 50:35million dollars over that.
- 50:38And that's how long it takes for justice
- 50:40to come to America for those of you
- 50:43who are uh giving up on the 2020
- 50:45election and uh the Russian hoax.
- 50:48Well, here's an example of something that took
- 50:4910 years.
- 50:51Let's go to this.
- 50:51This is Bill Hammer on Fox News with
- 50:53Doug Bergram.
- 50:55Governor of North Dakota at that time.
- 50:57Well, what do you remember?
- 50:58Well, Bill, I I took office on December
- 51:0115th of November 16th, and at that time
- 51:03there was thousands of protesters camping illegally on
- 51:05federal land.
- 51:08Uh this this protest, there was a separate
- 51:10trial that showed that the Obama administration, which
- 51:12was still in office that time was uh
- 51:14putting their thumb on the scale on the
- 51:17bus on the side of the protesters.
- 51:19And this was uh this hurt it hurt
- 51:21the tribe, it hurt their casino, it hurt
- 51:23their their revenues.
- 51:25Uh the local ranchers and farmers are being
- 51:27terrorized.
- 51:28The law was being broken every possible which
- 51:32way, not just trespassing, but human trafficking, sex
- 51:35trafficking, drug trafficking, uh ATF issues, arms issues.
- 51:39I mean, this place was a toxic mix
- 51:41uh of protests, all in there grifting and
- 51:43trying to uh grab national attention, and I'd
- 51:45say today's ruling uh is for the really
- 51:48for the rule of law.
- 51:50I mean, in North Dakota, we understand free
- 51:52speech, we support free speech, uh, but there's
- 51:55a difference between free speech and violence.
- 51:57Uh, and I think this is uh a
- 51:59timely, uh a timely and appropriate uh outcome
- 52:00from the jury.
- 52:03Again, it was 345 million dollars that the
- 52:05judge put on Greenpeace for that.
- 52:08Do you remember all of that when that
- 52:09was going on, Matt?
- 52:10Um, yeah.
- 52:11Um, as I was saying, it was kind
- 52:14of like the you know, the number one
- 52:16climate issue of the day back back bang.
- 52:18Um I I don't even remember what ended
- 52:19up happening.
- 52:20Didn't Trump end up giving it a uh
- 52:22green stand like a green light?
- 52:24Yeah, well, the Keystone pipeline, from what I
- 52:26understand now from the people I talk to
- 52:29in the oil and gas industry, it's probably
- 52:31too expensive to make it effective in actually
- 52:33working and bringing oil from the Alberta region
- 52:36of Canada.
- 52:38The Alberta region of Canada, having talked to
- 52:40people there on this show before, they are
- 52:43trying to find a company that will bring
- 52:45it back.
- 52:48Donald Trump has said if we can find
- 52:49a company that wants to do it again
- 52:51and can make it cost effective for bringing
- 52:53the oil to America, by all means we'll
- 52:55do it.
- 52:57But I know Donald Trump is working on
- 52:58deregulating things so that we can pump the
- 53:00oil that's in our ground.
- 53:02We have a lot of it.
- 53:04Let's go to something AOC said.
- 53:06By the way, she happens to be the
- 53:08front runner for 2028 for the Democrats.
- 53:11That's scary.
- 53:12That's scary.
- 53:13Here's what she said about gerrymandering quote it
- 53:15is time for the North to pull up
- 53:17to the South.
- 53:20It is time for New York to pull
- 53:21up to Alabama.
- 53:23It is time for all of us to
- 53:25come to Georgia, to Louisiana, to Tennessee, to
- 53:28Mississippi, and let them know exactly what they
- 53:31have uncorked with this injustice.
- 53:34The injustice was the way that the maps
- 53:37were previously gerrymandered in racism.
- 53:40And this is this is just uh uh
- 53:42amazing to me that AOC is speaking these
- 53:45types of things.
- 53:47And she's not alone, it's everybody on the
- 53:49left, and she is, I guess, now the
- 53:50leader of the Democrat Party.
- 53:52Is she?
- 53:53Uh seemingly so.
- 53:55There's this quote that I used to see
- 53:57liberals um a lot.
- 53:59And I I think it was actually originally
- 54:01a Thomas quote, and they didn't realize, but
- 54:03when they would lecture us about racism, they
- 54:05would say things like um, you know, when
- 54:07when you're accustomed to special treatment, equality seems
- 54:09like oppression.
- 54:11And they were trying to like shame white
- 54:13people that were against Black Lives Matter.
- 54:16But it's just such a funny quote because
- 54:18that also applies to every scene they come
- 54:21up with, like affirmative action or or having
- 54:24racially gerrymandered districts where we're literally just saying,
- 54:27no, you you can't rig elections based on
- 54:29race, and they're saying that's racism.
- 54:32Well, no, what you were doing was the
- 54:33racism.
- 54:34We're the ones undoing it.
- 54:36Yeah, that was nuts, isn't it?
- 54:37Let's go to your senator there in New
- 54:39Jersey, Corey Booker.
- 54:41He had uh a nice comment.
- 54:43And did you maybe you didn't see this?
- 54:44We're coming up on the end of the
- 54:46hour, but I want to sneak this in
- 54:47here real quick.
- 54:48Senator Corey Books Booker says marijuana is safer
- 54:51than McDonald's French fries.
- 54:55He argues that fast food is heavily addictive
- 54:58and causes serious health problems.
- 55:01Yet cannabis is the one that gets banned.
- 55:05That is your senator, by the way.
- 55:07That's Senator Corey Booker.
- 55:09He is making big headlines there in Washington,
- 55:10D.C.
- 55:12as he does things for people like you
- 55:13sitting there in New Jersey.
- 55:15He's a joke, and I think he also
- 55:17wants to be on that presidential stage.
- 55:20There's no chance he's ever gonna get there.
- 55:22I also hear that Kamala Harris is, you
- 55:24know, she's still in the background.
- 55:26She still thinks her time is coming in
- 55:272028.
- 55:29Matt, I know that you and I both
- 55:31believe that will not happen, that it's gonna
- 55:32be somebody else.
- 55:34I picked a long time ago, I said
- 55:36uh as a dark horse, Andy Bashir out
- 55:38of Kentucky.
- 55:39Well, he's moved from two percent to four
- 55:41percent, so don't give up on your bet
- 55:43there on your predictive market.
- 55:46Uh but Matt, we're to the end of
- 55:47this hour.
- 55:48What do we look for this week?
- 55:49What are you thinking is gonna come up?
- 55:51We have this big race in Kentucky on
- 55:53Tuesday with Thomas Massey and Ed Galleron.
- 55:56Gonna be interesting to watch.
- 55:57It will be a litmus test for this
- 55:59upcoming primary season.
- 56:00Primary season.
- 56:01Uh well, I guess to totally steal your
- 56:01Uh well, I guess to totally steal your
- 56:02answer.
- 56:02answer.
- 56:03Uh I mean the Thomas Massey erased is
- 56:03Uh I mean the Thomas Massey erase is
- 56:04what I was gonna say.
- 56:04what I was going to say.
- 56:06So uh that, and then I ran, I
- 56:06So uh that and then I ran, I
- 56:08ran, I ran, which I say every week.
- 56:08ran, I ran, which I say every week.
- 56:10Right.
- 56:10Right.
- 56:10Yeah.

- 56:30Yeah, see you all next week.
- 56:32And don't forget that you were told two
- 56:33thousand years ago that you are the salt
- 56:35of the earth, and salt without flavor, it
- 56:37has no value.
- 56:39So whatever you do, keep being salty.
- 56:41Have a great night.
- 56:42There is only one truth.
- 56:44You've been listening to The Truth Be Told
- 56:47with Booker Scott on America Out Loud.
