- 0:02Speaker 1: Two Teas in a Pod with Teddy Mellancamps and camera judge.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Here we are again for another episode of Two Teas
- 0:16Speaker 1: in a Pod with myself, Teddy Mellencamp and yours. Truly,
- 0:21Speaker 1: we have on a very special guest today, and one
- 0:24Speaker 1: I realize that I look like crocodile dundee out in
- 0:26Speaker 1: the wilderness right now, like and I'm getting eaten alive.
- 0:31Speaker 1: But the things that I'll do for the pod. But
- 0:33Speaker 1: we have Mauricio Yumansky coming on today. He is not
- 0:36Speaker 1: only one of my best friend's husbands, Kyle Richards, but
- 0:39Speaker 1: he's also a real estate mogul, longtime fan favorite of
- 0:43Speaker 1: the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and he has his
- 0:46Speaker 1: own series on Netflix called Buying Beverly Hills, which inspires
- 0:50Speaker 1: budding entrepreneurs and self starters of all different backgrounds and
- 0:54Speaker 1: strategies to find success for work. He also has a
- 0:58Speaker 1: new book coming out called The deal Maker available April eleventh,
- 1:02Speaker 1: and lots of other friends chaps. So we are going
- 1:05Speaker 1: to ask him all the business related stuff, but then
- 1:08Speaker 1: also the all the juice that we want to hear
- 1:10Speaker 1: as well. So I have my real estate questions all
- 1:13Speaker 1: written out right here because I have a real estate license,
- 1:17Speaker 1: so I need to know what's going on in this market.
- 1:20Speaker 1: But I do need to know before we even bring
- 1:23Speaker 1: him in, because I do see him here in the
- 1:24Speaker 1: waiting area. Are you going to ask the question that
- 1:26Speaker 1: we all want to know? Is he on ozempic? Yeah?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Start it started with that. I bet he doesn't even
- 1:37Speaker 1: know what it is. Okay, Oh, I bet he does.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Let's see. All right, let's go ahead and bring Racio in.
- 1:43Speaker 1: What up? Girls, Thanks for being here with us. We
- 1:45Speaker 1: see you are on the tour today, right the president.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I saw you on Instagram already. Well, Ricio, the real
- 1:53Speaker 1: reason we want you on the pod today's we have
- 1:55Speaker 1: a very special question for you. Are you taking ozepe
- 2:02Speaker 1: twice a day? Oh? Twice a day? Oh a big change? Yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: congratulations on your neok the dealmaker. We're super excited about that. Um, Teddy,
- 2:19Speaker 1: where are you? I actually I am with your partner. Um.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I just saw Santiago and his family and kids were
- 2:27Speaker 1: all in part of the arta. Oh my god, how fun.
- 2:32Speaker 1: That's so exciting. I can't believe I'm not there, so
- 2:35Speaker 1: John almost it is so amazing here. And he was
- 2:39Speaker 1: telling me about all the new homes that they're building
- 2:42Speaker 1: here in the Rosewood and yeah, so I saw him
- 2:47Speaker 1: and I was like, I know that guy, Like, oh yeah,
- 2:52Speaker 1: so it was exciting to see him. You want it. Well,
- 2:56Speaker 1: before we start grilling you, oh, which is obviously going
- 2:59Speaker 1: to happen, it's talking about the Dealmaker. Give us a
- 3:03Speaker 1: little history. That's your book out. That's on April eleventh, yep,
- 3:07Speaker 1: comes up tomorrow. I mean the history is it just
- 3:11Speaker 1: you know, it's about you know, life lessons, insights through
- 3:14Speaker 1: stories that I've been you know, I've experienced throughout my life, um,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you know, starting from when I was a childhood and
- 3:20Speaker 1: things that have guided you know, that have shaped me.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But it's not a you know, it's not a kind
- 3:26Speaker 1: of succeed book or you know, three Steps to success
- 3:30Speaker 1: or five steps to be the best salesman on the
- 3:32Speaker 1: planet or anything like that. It's more of like a
- 3:34Speaker 1: bunch of storytelling lessons that I learned and that hopefully
- 3:38Speaker 1: I can you know, the readers will will learn, you know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: something from that, you know, from their own experiences, be
- 3:45Speaker 1: able to take on my experiences, but learned for theirs.
- 3:48Speaker 1: What inspired you to write the book? I think it's
- 3:51Speaker 1: just over the years, you know, it's I've been wanting
- 3:54Speaker 1: to and you know, I mean I have a company
- 3:56Speaker 1: now with seventy five eighty offices and two thousand sales people,
- 4:00Speaker 1: and I'm constantly teaching and you know, and and and
- 4:03Speaker 1: advising and consulting, and you know, I don't like to
- 4:06Speaker 1: consult again through like here's what you need to do.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I like to like advise through again you know, my
- 4:12Speaker 1: experiences and storytelling and then have that have that be
- 4:15Speaker 1: something that you know that that's now you um and
- 4:18Speaker 1: obviously you know, being now on two television shows and
- 4:21Speaker 1: having an audience, I think it's the right timing, um
- 4:24Speaker 1: in order to get you know, the book out there
- 4:27Speaker 1: and you know, to make sure people read it. And
- 4:31Speaker 1: for a lot of people, they you know, start in
- 4:34Speaker 1: business with some sort of family and then, as we
- 4:38Speaker 1: all know, working with family is difficult. You know you
- 4:41Speaker 1: used to work with your brother in law, Rick Hilton.
- 4:45Speaker 1: What would you say for somebody who starts off with
- 4:47Speaker 1: family then has to make that change because ultimately you
- 4:50Speaker 1: need to grow what was like your biggest learning curve
- 4:53Speaker 1: there like that I can go out and do this
- 4:55Speaker 1: on my own, but how do we salvage any of it. Yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 1: I mean I think that, you know, you have to
- 5:03Speaker 1: have respect for each other on the family, and you
- 5:05Speaker 1: have to like respect each other's opinions and and and not.
- 5:08Speaker 1: You know, just because there's somebody's family doesn't mean you
- 5:11Speaker 1: get to like, you know, bost them around, right. Um.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You know, with me, with my kids, like they're adults,
- 5:16Speaker 1: Like they have their own opinions, they have their own thoughts,
- 5:19Speaker 1: Like I need to advise them and teach them and
- 5:21Speaker 1: consult them, but I certainly can't tell them what to do,
- 5:24Speaker 1: otherwise they won't want to work for me, they'll want
- 5:25Speaker 1: to leave. Um, you know, with me with Rick, you know,
- 5:28Speaker 1: it was just circumstances. You know, the story that I
- 5:31Speaker 1: tell in the book. Um, you know, lessons that learned.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You know that that sometimes the door needs to close
- 5:37Speaker 1: in order for another one to open. And sometimes you
- 5:39Speaker 1: need a circumstance in your life to happen in order
- 5:42Speaker 1: for you to take a risk and do something else
- 5:44Speaker 1: and do something better, right, Um, you know, and and
- 5:46Speaker 1: and you know with with with Rick, I mean that's
- 5:49Speaker 1: kind of what happened, right Like and I you know,
- 5:51Speaker 1: you'll have to read the story. I'm not going to
- 5:52Speaker 1: spill the beans here. Um, you got to read the book. Um,
- 5:56Speaker 1: but you know, that's kind of what happened. And it's
- 5:58Speaker 1: sad because he has such a great company. But had
- 6:02Speaker 1: what happened not happened, I probably never would have had
- 6:05Speaker 1: the courage to go off on my own and have
- 6:07Speaker 1: you know, and and and gone and open up the agency,
- 6:10Speaker 1: you know, which, in hindsight, you know, probably the best
- 6:12Speaker 1: thing that ever happened to me. Um. And so, uh,
- 6:15Speaker 1: being respectful with the family is critical. Yeah, do you
- 6:19Speaker 1: have a good relationship with him? Now? We do. We
- 6:22Speaker 1: have a very good relationship. Now, you know, I don't
- 6:25Speaker 1: see him that often, but every time we do, we're
- 6:27Speaker 1: always you know, we have We're very cordial and we
- 6:30Speaker 1: have a good relationship. Thank god. Yea, hopefully it stays
- 6:34Speaker 1: that way. But speaking of working with family, and Beverly
- 6:39Speaker 1: Hills was just renewed for season two. That is so exciting. Congrega,
- 6:46Speaker 1: which one of your daughters do you think is most
- 6:49Speaker 1: similar to you in business and most similar to Kyle?
- 6:54Speaker 1: Oh my god, Well that's like so easy. Well, first
- 6:57Speaker 1: of all, yeah, super exciting. Season two. It's official. We
- 7:00Speaker 1: start filming and that's gonna be so much fun. Lots
- 7:03Speaker 1: of real estate born, lots of drama, um, a lot
- 7:07Speaker 1: of you know, really fun stuff. I can't wait to,
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know, dig deeper with my daughters, um in in
- 7:12Speaker 1: you know, and some of the stuff that we're already
- 7:14Speaker 1: digging deeper in right now in terms of like the
- 7:16Speaker 1: whole succession and what that looks like and all those vibes, um,
- 7:21Speaker 1: you know, and uh, oh my god in business? Who's
- 7:24Speaker 1: the most similar to me? My daughter? I mean, there's
- 7:26Speaker 1: no question Alexia is the most similar to me, just
- 7:28Speaker 1: like in general and life, you know, and talks exactly
- 7:32Speaker 1: like fine, all right. That's when I've watched the first TIS,
- 7:35Speaker 1: I'm like, oh my god, she is Kyle. I mean,
- 7:39Speaker 1: this is a little bit unfair because I'm sitting here
- 7:41Speaker 1: doing this, you know, with this with you, and you're
- 7:44Speaker 1: like Kyle's best friend, so like there's nothing you can
- 7:49Speaker 1: talk to me. You can say, thank you? Tara. How
- 7:54Speaker 1: did how did the show come about? Was it something
- 7:57Speaker 1: that you pitch to the network? Did Netflix come to you? Um?
- 8:00Speaker 1: Did you pitch it to Bravo? How did that work?
- 8:03Speaker 1: I mean I don't even remember anymore. Quite honestly, this
- 8:06Speaker 1: has been going on for We've been trying to do
- 8:07Speaker 1: this thing so for like four or five years now,
- 8:10Speaker 1: UM and UM, you know, COVID got in the way,
- 8:14Speaker 1: and then it didn't get in the way, and then
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know, but I was so excited to have Netflix
- 8:19Speaker 1: pick it up. UM and you know they're you know,
- 8:22Speaker 1: it's a it's an international company one hundred and ninety
- 8:25Speaker 1: countries plus or minus. I think, you know whatever that is, UM,
- 8:29Speaker 1: And it's just such a great platform. And I just
- 8:31Speaker 1: you know, I just I just love it. UM. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: love working with them. They're amazing people to work for
- 8:36Speaker 1: and with. UM the production company is great. And yeah,
- 8:40Speaker 1: so you know, now we you know, we were on
- 8:42Speaker 1: two uh networks on Netflix and I'm Bravo, which is great.
- 8:47Speaker 1: I know a lot of fans were bummed that Kyle
- 8:50Speaker 1: was not on season one of Buying Beverly Hills. Are
- 8:54Speaker 1: we going to be seeing her film season two of
- 8:58Speaker 1: Buying Beverly Hills or are we not sing her? I
- 9:01Speaker 1: think you're going to see a lot more of Kyle
- 9:03Speaker 1: on season two and Buying Beverly Hills, So that is
- 9:06Speaker 1: the plan. I was surprised here recently that Kyle actually
- 9:11Speaker 1: has her real estate license. You guys went and took
- 9:13Speaker 1: the test around the same time. Now, I've had my
- 9:16Speaker 1: real estate license for like eighteen nineteen years. I don't
- 9:18Speaker 1: practice because I have other things going on, but I
- 9:21Speaker 1: never let my license expire because you never know what
- 9:24Speaker 1: the future holds for you. Right now I have i'd
- 9:27Speaker 1: hung at agent ink. But do you have an office
- 9:29Speaker 1: in Orange County. We're going to change your license. Your
- 9:32Speaker 1: license is officially hanging now at the agency. Okay, I
- 9:37Speaker 1: do think, I do think there's a time where I
- 9:39Speaker 1: really want to get back into it because, like you,
- 9:41Speaker 1: I love the real estate porn. I'm on the MLS
- 9:44Speaker 1: every single day, Like I just love it. And I
- 9:46Speaker 1: have a lot of friends in Orange County. They're a
- 9:48Speaker 1: real estate agents. It's so much fun. And yeah, we'd
- 9:52Speaker 1: love to have you on board, and I think you
- 9:53Speaker 1: definitely belong. You know, it's part of the agency family,
- 9:56Speaker 1: whether you practice or you don't practice. But that way
- 9:58Speaker 1: you and Kyle can both have your license is hanging
- 10:01Speaker 1: at the same spot, and you never know what day
- 10:04Speaker 1: you might want to do a deal. I know, back
- 10:06Speaker 1: to your kids, I know my dad's really hard on
- 10:09Speaker 1: me when it comes to work stuff. And his one
- 10:12Speaker 1: rule for me has always been, like, listen, there's no
- 10:15Speaker 1: getting emotional in business. What is the one piece of
- 10:19Speaker 1: advice that like you give to your girls, Like all right,
- 10:22Speaker 1: this is what makes me most proud. And this is
- 10:25Speaker 1: like this is a hard note for me. Is it laziness?
- 10:28Speaker 1: Is it doing your homework or like what is that you? Yeah,
- 10:32Speaker 1: great question, teddy. You know. To me, it's all about
- 10:36Speaker 1: having knowledge of what you're trying to sell and what
- 10:39Speaker 1: you're trying, you know, to to work on, like tremendous knowledge,
- 10:42Speaker 1: like being the most knowledgeable person in the room on
- 10:45Speaker 1: your product. Um, you know in real estate, you know
- 10:48Speaker 1: what areas, what you know what what price per square foots?
- 10:51Speaker 1: Where you know where does the sunset? What you know
- 10:54Speaker 1: everything about the property, schools, etcetera, etcetera. But more of
- 10:58Speaker 1: the knowledge, it's having confidence. You know, we're gonna have confidence.
- 11:02Speaker 1: You have to have knowledge because if you don't have
- 11:03Speaker 1: that knowledge, you're not going to have the confidence. But
- 11:05Speaker 1: having confidence in yourself and then willing to take some risks,
- 11:09Speaker 1: I think is just you know, one of the most
- 11:11Speaker 1: important traits in any business. I do have one real
- 11:14Speaker 1: estate question for you. Yes, this is a fight within
- 11:16Speaker 1: my house. Okay, So the real estate market has been
- 11:19Speaker 1: crazy for the past few years. During the pandemic, we
- 11:22Speaker 1: saw properties almost double in price, interest rates went down,
- 11:25Speaker 1: and property cells were basically sign unsane. Now the market
- 11:30Speaker 1: seems to have like maybe leveled off, it hasn't drastically dropped.
- 11:35Speaker 1: What is happening in the future. Is it a good
- 11:37Speaker 1: time to buy an investment property? And should you hold off?
- 11:40Speaker 1: What's going to happen Because my husband's like, it's gonna crash,
- 11:43Speaker 1: It's gonna crash. I'm like, I don't know if it is. Yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 1: I don't know. Prices are going to crash as much
- 11:49Speaker 1: as people are thinking. I mean, there's definitely a slowdown
- 11:51Speaker 1: in transactions. But what that will do is that will increase,
- 11:55Speaker 1: you know, supply, and one supply gets increase, then uh,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know, now you can actually go out and find
- 12:03Speaker 1: the house that you love and want and not be
- 12:06Speaker 1: in a battle and like battling like a maniac over
- 12:09Speaker 1: you know, the same house with thirty six different people. Um,
- 12:13Speaker 1: you know, from the perspective of being the right time,
- 12:17Speaker 1: I think, Look, it's your house, right so anytime that
- 12:21Speaker 1: you know you you want to make it a commitment
- 12:23Speaker 1: to your life. It's the right time. Keep in mind
- 12:27Speaker 1: that the interest rate, you know, the mortgage rates, even
- 12:29Speaker 1: though they're high, they've started to drop a little bit
- 12:31Speaker 1: right now. I don't know, will level see the two
- 12:34Speaker 1: you know, the two sub three sub three interest rates again,
- 12:37Speaker 1: that was a unique time moment in time that you
- 12:40Speaker 1: know should never happen again, like you know, so, um,
- 12:43Speaker 1: you know, if we can stabilize interest rates in the
- 12:45Speaker 1: four to five percent, I think that would be awesome. Um.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I think that you're not married to your interest rate,
- 12:51Speaker 1: you're only dating it. So you know, keep in mind
- 12:53Speaker 1: that you can go and find your property by it,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and then you can refinance and go down to a
- 12:58Speaker 1: lower interest rate. Like it's not like if you find
- 13:01Speaker 1: the property of your dreams and the one that you want,
- 13:03Speaker 1: it's always the right time to buy it. And I
- 13:04Speaker 1: can tell you that no matter what time in history
- 13:08Speaker 1: you've bought, over a period of ten years, on any graph,
- 13:11Speaker 1: the prices of real estate have never, ever, ever in
- 13:14Speaker 1: history been lower ten years after any moment in time
- 13:19Speaker 1: that you buy. Even if you buy it, the highest
- 13:22Speaker 1: peak two thousand and seven, two seventeen, twenty seventeen was
- 13:26Speaker 1: above two thousand and seven before the huge drop. Okay,
- 13:29Speaker 1: that's the one that we all remember, but nobody, no
- 13:32Speaker 1: matter what, it's always been that way perfect. And last
- 13:36Speaker 1: question in regards to real estate, because then, of course,
- 13:39Speaker 1: you know, we're gonna have to get into a little
- 13:40Speaker 1: bit of from bly Hills, which is, what do you
- 13:43Speaker 1: think your greatest quality is other than confidence that has
- 13:48Speaker 1: led you from you know, I remember hearing stories that
- 13:51Speaker 1: you were in I think the clothing industry, and then
- 13:53Speaker 1: Kyle kind of said, they'll get your real estate license
- 13:56Speaker 1: and let's go. And you've just kind of been moving
- 13:59Speaker 1: up and up and up. What do you think is
- 14:01Speaker 1: that secret sauce for you? So? I mean that's you know,
- 14:05Speaker 1: while you have to get the book and read the book,
- 14:09Speaker 1: but there's not one secret sauce, Teddy. It's a little
- 14:12Speaker 1: bit of everything. Um. But if I were to just
- 14:14Speaker 1: point one thing out into the ability to read a
- 14:16Speaker 1: room and the ability to listen most real estate most
- 14:19Speaker 1: salespeople like to talk a lot because they're they're there.
- 14:23Speaker 1: They they they want to show off their knowledge, they
- 14:26Speaker 1: want to show off that they know what they're talking about.
- 14:28Speaker 1: They get nervous in a room of just listening and
- 14:30Speaker 1: nobody talking, so they're selling. They're talking like you know,
- 14:33Speaker 1: bond and on and on like you. In order to
- 14:35Speaker 1: be a great salesman person, you also have to you
- 14:38Speaker 1: actually have to like take a step back, listen, read
- 14:42Speaker 1: the room, understand your audience. And the faster you can
- 14:46Speaker 1: get to that moment um, the faster you can create
- 14:49Speaker 1: you know, um, matchmaking, which is what I call sales.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Sales is all about matchmaking. Once you made that match, um,
- 14:56Speaker 1: now you can go on and um and make a
- 14:59Speaker 1: great say else. So I think my greatest ability is, uh,
- 15:03Speaker 1: is the ability to read a room and to read
- 15:05Speaker 1: people super fast and super effect effectively. I just have
- 15:09Speaker 1: one shady question for you, real estate, and then we
- 15:13Speaker 1: can other than Lady Gaga, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, and
- 15:17Speaker 1: Prince And you've sold houses to famous people, I'm sure
- 15:20Speaker 1: a ton of them. Is there any famous person that
- 15:23Speaker 1: you would never sell a house to? Again? Do not
- 15:26Speaker 1: want to work with them? Oh? Man, that's a great question.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I don't know if that one's ever been asked of me. Um, no,
- 15:37Speaker 1: I no, I do not have anybody like that. So,
- 15:40Speaker 1: you know, I was so difficult to work with. You're
- 15:43Speaker 1: like go pound sand I don't want to do with you.
- 15:46Speaker 1: You know what, though, even the difficult ones are kind
- 15:48Speaker 1: of fun. And you know, yes, I've had so many
- 15:51Speaker 1: difficult people that work that I've worked with in the past,
- 15:53Speaker 1: and they have been but even conquering them, um, that challenge,
- 15:58Speaker 1: that win, like, that's that's just that's fun. You know,
- 16:02Speaker 1: that can be probably even more fun and more you know,
- 16:04Speaker 1: um than than than uh than not just having everything
- 16:09Speaker 1: be easy. I mean if life it's if life's always easy,
- 16:11Speaker 1: then it's not that fun, right, Like, you gotta have
- 16:13Speaker 1: some challenge. The commission on a celebrity's house is pretty
- 16:16Speaker 1: big usually speaking. Yeah, um um, we know that Kyle
- 16:26Speaker 1: is in the midst of filming Beverly Hills. Um, are
- 16:30Speaker 1: you guys in any of the drama this season, because
- 16:32Speaker 1: of course we're seeing rumblings because of that one point.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I know everyone's probably asked me that one paparazzi photo
- 16:38Speaker 1: and I was actually with her at that moment, So
- 16:41Speaker 1: what's your fault? It's your fault. Yeah. Yeah, So so
- 16:45Speaker 1: the question is in a little bit, are you getting divorced.
- 16:49Speaker 1: We're not getting divorced. Were you wearing her? Were you
- 16:51Speaker 1: wearing her ringed, is that what happened? She just forgot
- 16:54Speaker 1: to like she gave it to you and you were
- 16:56Speaker 1: trying it on or something like that. I was actually
- 16:58Speaker 1: wearing it as a choe because the diamond is so
- 17:01Speaker 1: small that I was like, you better to upgrade this
- 17:03Speaker 1: because it's just embarrassing. I think that's what it was
- 17:06Speaker 1: all about, right, you guys want to figure out. Yeah,
- 17:09Speaker 1: it kind of sucks. I mean, that's so dumb, and
- 17:12Speaker 1: that's one stupid story that came out there, and you know,
- 17:15Speaker 1: and then the girls all like I guess, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: decided to talk about it on the Housewives, and so
- 17:20Speaker 1: now it's a storyline. So there's definitely some stories out there,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and you know, Kyle and I address it and we'll
- 17:29Speaker 1: take it from there. I mean, it is what it is.
- 17:31Speaker 1: How do you deal with it on the show when
- 17:34Speaker 1: it's absolutely not true and it's just slandering you your relationship?
- 17:39Speaker 1: And do you ignore it or do you address it?
- 17:42Speaker 1: Do you fight it? Likes? So we addressed it. We
- 17:46Speaker 1: addressed it. It was addressed by the girls. They brought
- 17:49Speaker 1: it up. They really brought it up to Kyle, like,
- 17:51Speaker 1: which is kind of bitchy. And super mean because particularly
- 17:54Speaker 1: the girls, they actually know what's going on and they
- 17:57Speaker 1: know exactly what it's all about. Um, you know, they
- 18:00Speaker 1: they all have had, you know, a photograph like that taken.
- 18:02Speaker 1: They know that story's BS and for them to bring
- 18:05Speaker 1: it on and bring it, you know, make it more real,
- 18:07Speaker 1: bring it to the show. Um. And when I you know,
- 18:10Speaker 1: when I say make it more real, I mean it's
- 18:11Speaker 1: like make it more like, you know, relevant, right, like,
- 18:14Speaker 1: particularly when they know it's not relevant. Um, just kind
- 18:17Speaker 1: of suck. So we did address it, and it is
- 18:19Speaker 1: what it is. And I think it's look in order
- 18:23Speaker 1: to be on these shows, you've got to grow some
- 18:24Speaker 1: thick skin. Um you you girls know that as good
- 18:29Speaker 1: as all of us. But yeah, I mean, you know whatever,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I don't know what to tell you, Like, I don't
- 18:36Speaker 1: expect her to wear her ring next time she's out
- 18:39Speaker 1: with you, Teddy. You know you guys are working out
- 18:41Speaker 1: coming from the yoga Leston like and like it is,
- 18:45Speaker 1: well maybe maybe maybe maybe the ring was too big.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Kyle has lost weight recently and people are up in
- 18:52Speaker 1: arms about her weight loss. She looks great, are you
- 19:08Speaker 1: and Pek as close as they show it on the
- 19:11Speaker 1: show or are you guys like but like it makes
- 19:14Speaker 1: it seem like you guys are thinking, think a see
- 19:16Speaker 1: if you also got a little heat last year. We're
- 19:20Speaker 1: laughing at Garcela's son, Like, are you guys just always
- 19:23Speaker 1: having fun to kind of pretend you're away from the
- 19:25Speaker 1: cameras or what's the set for child's relationship? Pekue and
- 19:29Speaker 1: I are really good friends, Teddy. Um, we're super tight.
- 19:33Speaker 1: You know, we laugh at each other, we're were we
- 19:35Speaker 1: talk all the time, we hang out he often. UM,
- 19:38Speaker 1: I mean that was kind of an unfortunate thing with that,
- 19:41Speaker 1: you know, with with with with laughing, UM, just totally
- 19:44Speaker 1: out of context for me. I mean, you know, quite honestly,
- 19:47Speaker 1: we were asked to talk about something that I wasn't
- 19:50Speaker 1: present and didn't witness it, and um, and when you
- 19:52Speaker 1: talk about something that you don't really know what you're
- 19:54Speaker 1: talking about, UM, you just have a reaction. And I,
- 19:58Speaker 1: you know, I didn't really know what the heck and
- 20:00Speaker 1: we were talking about, totally had the wrong reaction. And
- 20:02Speaker 1: I immediately again not the rehash things, but when you know,
- 20:06Speaker 1: texted Garcelle and called her and apologized profusely. UM, particularly
- 20:12Speaker 1: when I watched it I thought it kind of sucked. Um,
- 20:15Speaker 1: you know, even reflecting on that. But you know there's
- 20:18Speaker 1: again when you know, we're asked to do a lot
- 20:20Speaker 1: of things on television, you know that, and um and um,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you know we weren't. I just wasn't aware of what
- 20:26Speaker 1: we were, what we were even talking about. To be
- 20:28Speaker 1: quite honest with you, I didn't witness the event actually happened.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So it is what it is, absolutainly. No nothing bad there.
- 20:35Speaker 1: So Mauricio, I have to ask you this question. You
- 20:38Speaker 1: have been seen many trips with the Housewives with their
- 20:42Speaker 1: asthmen Ultimate Girls trip. What's going on there, buddy? Why
- 20:47Speaker 1: has were a rather cuts down, weener off than go
- 20:50Speaker 1: on a trip with the girls. Is it just coincidental
- 20:54Speaker 1: or is there a reason you tend to show up?
- 20:57Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know. I mean the Aspen thing,
- 20:59Speaker 1: like you know, to me, like we're all going to happen.
- 21:02Speaker 1: You know, it's my favorite place in the world. Um,
- 21:05Speaker 1: Like I plan on being there anyway, and that's just
- 21:07Speaker 1: the coincidence of me going there and Kyle's going with
- 21:10Speaker 1: it with the girls, Like I want to go ski
- 21:12Speaker 1: and I want to do my thing. I mean, I
- 21:14Speaker 1: was very I try to stay out of a way
- 21:16Speaker 1: and not film, but you know, like that's uh, you
- 21:19Speaker 1: know if every once in a while you just get
- 21:21Speaker 1: in you know, get in there. Well. But I was
- 21:23Speaker 1: just there skiing and having a good time. The Ultimate
- 21:25Speaker 1: Girls Trip. That was a total, um coincidence in terms
- 21:29Speaker 1: of just timing that worked out kind of fun and
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know for tuit us, for both of us. But
- 21:33Speaker 1: I was there opening up by my church and Cacos office.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Um we got them their their their space. UM. And
- 21:41Speaker 1: I actually had my opening and my trip planned long
- 21:44Speaker 1: before um the girls uh, the Ultimate Girls Trip had
- 21:49Speaker 1: going on, and it just happened to coincide that we
- 21:51Speaker 1: happened to be there at the same time. So that
- 21:54Speaker 1: was just kind of a coincidence. Coincidence. It sounds like
- 21:58Speaker 1: a coincidence then coincidence. But also I need to know,
- 22:02Speaker 1: did you hear any part of the Kathy breakdown to
- 22:06Speaker 1: Rena as it was actually happening and no, so no, no,
- 22:16Speaker 1: this is this is the floor. So this is my
- 22:22Speaker 1: old house. So it has three levels. Um, I was
- 22:26Speaker 1: on the master bedroom or the primary bedroom is on
- 22:28Speaker 1: the top level. Kathy was actually sleeping in the lowest level,
- 22:32Speaker 1: so three levels down. Um, and I went home early.
- 22:37Speaker 1: I was already asleep, and I'm a I'm a deep sleeper.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I don't wake up with the fire alarm. I don't
- 22:42Speaker 1: wake up with anything like when I'm asleep, I'm asleep,
- 22:46Speaker 1: um and um. And she was downstairs, and Renna was downstairs.
- 22:50Speaker 1: They were all on the lowest level, so through two
- 22:52Speaker 1: floors down and um, I didn't hear anything. I did.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I did come out later and saw Renna h super
- 22:59Speaker 1: di ressed, um, super stressed, um and and and distraught
- 23:04Speaker 1: and um and she you know, didn't share with me
- 23:08Speaker 1: everything that happened, but I did have a small conversation
- 23:11Speaker 1: as it was happening, um and and and definitely got
- 23:14Speaker 1: you know, kind of like the uh the moments, um
- 23:19Speaker 1: um reaction from from Renna at the time. Did you
- 23:23Speaker 1: think Renna was lying? I did not think Renna was lying.
- 23:27Speaker 1: She didn't look like she was lying at all. Um. Again,
- 23:32Speaker 1: I didn't hear it, so unfortunately I can't comment to it.
- 23:35Speaker 1: But Renna did not look like she was lying. And also, Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 1: so if you can go back to all of your
- 23:40Speaker 1: years on Beverly Hills, what is your favorite season you've
- 23:44Speaker 1: ever filmed, and your least favorite season you've ever filmed. Well,
- 23:50Speaker 1: I don't have a least favorite. Um, that's an easy one,
- 23:53Speaker 1: just because it's always you know, um, but my favorite
- 23:56Speaker 1: season we filmed was probably season one. Um. It was
- 23:59Speaker 1: so new, it school, it was different. Um, yeah, you know,
- 24:03Speaker 1: Portune was a baby. The guys were a little bit
- 24:06Speaker 1: more involved at the time, which you know, we were
- 24:08Speaker 1: excited and wanted to. Nowadays you know, we probably don't
- 24:11Speaker 1: want to Tamera, as you said, and and yeah, so
- 24:18Speaker 1: I would say season one was probably my favorite. Well,
- 24:21Speaker 1: I can tell you my favorite seat scene I ever
- 24:24Speaker 1: filmed with you was we were at Camille's wedding, but
- 24:27Speaker 1: we weren't hanging out with Camille. We were at this
- 24:29Speaker 1: dinner and we took a more a do you remember right,
- 24:35Speaker 1: we did these little edibles, these little edibles, We took
- 24:38Speaker 1: little half edibles, and none of us could say any
- 24:41Speaker 1: work and duction coming to us and being like, guys,
- 24:46Speaker 1: somebody has to speak. So then Nursia started telling us stories.
- 24:49Speaker 1: But the stories made absolutely no sense. We were crying, laughing,
- 24:54Speaker 1: And that was honestly, like it wasn't like ten minutes
- 24:57Speaker 1: like they showed. It was like four hours of nobody,
- 25:01Speaker 1: nobody being able to complete a full sentence and watching
- 25:04Speaker 1: it back still to this day, I'm like, that was
- 25:07Speaker 1: a great night. I mean, that says terrible, but that
- 25:09Speaker 1: was a really great night. That every night in my house.
- 25:13Speaker 1: That's what it's like. Lucky you. That was a great night, Teddy.
- 25:20Speaker 1: You're absolutely right. That was one of the most epic
- 25:23Speaker 1: nights that we've had in terms of like just having
- 25:25Speaker 1: you know, not unfiltered fun altogether, everybody laughing. It was
- 25:29Speaker 1: just one of those great great moments. For sure. I
- 25:33Speaker 1: did even just tell the same story over and over.
- 25:35Speaker 1: But because if we know you have to go, if
- 25:38Speaker 1: you could pick one housewife from Beverly Hills to come
- 25:42Speaker 1: back and one never see again, who would they be?
- 25:48Speaker 1: Oh my god, not playing the kill because that's normally
- 25:52Speaker 1: a playing because Kyle's my friend, I'm not playing a Yeah,
- 25:55Speaker 1: thank you. I wouldn't and I wouldn't devanced with it.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I would have stayed. So yeah, yeah, So definitely to
- 26:04Speaker 1: cut back, it's you, Eddy, we need you back, we
- 26:06Speaker 1: miss you, and I miss hanging that with you guys
- 26:08Speaker 1: and ed with everybody. I just love that. Um and yeah,
- 26:13Speaker 1: you just brought so much. Um, and and for me,
- 26:16Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, you know the answer to who
- 26:18Speaker 1: I would never see again at this moment, you know,
- 26:20Speaker 1: it's it's you know, it's Lisa Ander Pump. Um. I
- 26:25Speaker 1: I just think what she did to Kayle was just
- 26:28Speaker 1: so mean and so not cool, and I just, you know,
- 26:32Speaker 1: not happy about that. Are you guys missing Lisa Renna? Well?
- 26:36Speaker 1: I love Renna. Um. You know, look, I don't think
- 26:40Speaker 1: very little with them, so you know, I've only had
- 26:41Speaker 1: a couple of scenes, you know, with Kyle, and I
- 26:43Speaker 1: don't know if they're missing her and her you know,
- 26:45Speaker 1: she brings so much, She's always brought so much. Um.
- 26:48Speaker 1: You know, Lisa Renna as a friend, you know for me.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Harry Hamlin's a friend for me. Um. You know, I
- 26:53Speaker 1: don't have any issues, I you know, with anybody, so
- 26:56Speaker 1: you know, to me, they're friends and um, you know,
- 27:00Speaker 1: I miss her, But I don't know, like you know,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I have no idea what you know, what the show
- 27:04Speaker 1: looks like in terms of like, you know, are they
- 27:05Speaker 1: missing you know that drama. I think she's going to
- 27:08Speaker 1: be back. In closing, I have one question for you,
- 27:11Speaker 1: as a father of four girls, did you ever think
- 27:16Speaker 1: one more, Kyle, Let's just have one more and try
- 27:18Speaker 1: for that boy. No, we did that with Porscha. That
- 27:22Speaker 1: was we did that already. We tried the one more
- 27:28Speaker 1: for the boy and it didn't work. And you know,
- 27:31Speaker 1: just so that you know that story is I don't
- 27:33Speaker 1: know if Kyle's told you this story, Teddy, but you know,
- 27:37Speaker 1: we were trying for a boy and we went for
- 27:38Speaker 1: science and we did multiple times where we did the spinning,
- 27:41Speaker 1: and I went to the doctor and uh, you know
- 27:43Speaker 1: and and and had you know, try try to spin
- 27:46Speaker 1: for a boy. Um, and it just didn't take. And
- 27:49Speaker 1: it didn't take. I think we tried three times, and
- 27:51Speaker 1: ultimately I just said to Kyle, I go, honey, let's
- 27:54Speaker 1: just have our last baby and let's let God decide.
- 27:56Speaker 1: And um, you know, literally had sex ones and out
- 28:02Speaker 1: came a girl. So there you go. So I always
- 28:04Speaker 1: meant I was meant to make girls. Yeah, okay, well,
- 28:08Speaker 1: well we agree, and let's cut to the chase decent
- 28:11Speaker 1: that the agency had deserves a diamond. I feel like
- 28:14Speaker 1: Kyle has an agency had on more than any other
- 28:17Speaker 1: and then all of us have it on and as
- 28:19Speaker 1: much as you have a Skyline hat on. Yeah, I mean,
- 28:23Speaker 1: let's give it. Let's at least give it a cuber zirconia.
- 28:26Speaker 1: Now it deserves the diamond. It deserves a diamond, Teddy,
- 28:29Speaker 1: it deserves a diamond. We need to diamond for sure.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, well, we really appreciate you coming on.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You guys have to make sure that you get Mauricio's
- 28:41Speaker 1: new books, A deal Maker. It's available tomorrow, April eleventh.
- 28:45Speaker 1: And we are so excited for Visio and all of
- 28:48Speaker 1: his family for the renewed season two Hills. That is
- 28:54Speaker 1: huge because not many housewives can say they got a
- 28:57Speaker 1: second season and a house husband us that one so good.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Thank you so much, girls, thank you so much, and
- 29:06Speaker 1: what a fun time, fun experience. And I thank you
- 29:08Speaker 1: both for having me on your show. Yes, congratulations, Thank
- 29:13Speaker 1: you Bye Maricia, by bye bye
