Luna: Oh, I love the park. What are we learning? Lucas: We're going to keep working with the climbing frame. Some really useful phrases. Luna: Okay, I'm ready. Let me guess: we're actually climbing this time? Lucas: Exactly. So first, when you decide to climb, you can say: 'Voy a subir.' Luna: Voy a subir. Lucas: That's it. 'Voy' means 'I go' or 'I'm going,' and 'subir' is 'to climb.' So 'Voy a subir' is 'I'm going to climb.' Luna: Voy a subir. I like that. Lucas: Now, once you're on the frame, you might hear someone say: 'Sujétate fuerte.' Luna: Sujétate fuerte. Lucas: That means 'Hold on tight.' 'Sujétate' is the command for 'hold on,' and 'fuerte' means 'strong' or 'tight.' Luna: Sujétate fuerte. Good to know. Lucas: Then when you make it to the top, you can say: 'Lo logré.' Luna: Lo logré. Lucas: That's 'I did it' or 'I made it.' 'Lograr' means 'to achieve.' Luna: Lo logré. That feels great to say. Lucas: After you come down, you might say: 'Fue divertido.' Luna: Fue divertido. Lucas: 'Fue' is 'it was,' and 'divertido' means 'fun.' So 'That was fun.' Luna: Fue divertido. I can imagine saying that. Lucas: And if you want to go again, you can say: 'Vamos otra vez.' Luna: Vamos otra vez. Lucas: That's 'Let's go again.' 'Vamos' is 'let's go,' and 'otra vez' is 'again.' Luna: Vamos otra vez. Okay, I think I've got them. Can we practice? Lucas: Absolutely. Let's run through them together. Repeat after me: Voy a subir. Luna: Voy a subir. Lucas: Sujétate fuerte. Luna: Sujétate fuerte. Lucas: Lo logré. Luna: Lo logré. Lucas: Fue divertido.
