The high level of Japanese craftsmanship is well known throughout the world. It takes a long time to become a full-fledged craftsman. It is sometimes pointed out that in today’s fast-paced world of change, it is impossible to keep up with the times by slowly nurturing traditional Japanese style craftspeople. In this episode, I take a look at tacit knowledge and mention the difficulties of passing on the tacit knowledge of craftsmen.
