- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome back to Get to the Point. I'm your host,
- 0:02Speaker 1: Terrell Owens.
- 0:03Speaker 2: And this is my co-host, Tony Romo. Chris Spitzer. You
- 0:09Speaker 2: almost did it exactly the way you did.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It on TV. No, I'm an ugly crier, bro. I'm
- 0:14Speaker 1: an ugly crier. You know how women say they're ugly criers?
- 0:17Speaker 1: I look at myself and I see that clip and
- 0:19Speaker 1: I honestly, I cringe. I had like a beard growing.
- 0:23Speaker 1: I had those ugly, big ass shades.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Ray-Bans?
- 0:26Speaker 1: No, they weren't Ray-Bans. They was Ray-Nans. But Romo must
- 0:32Speaker 1: have felt good, you know, you cried for him. I
- 0:33Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if he felt good or not.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I haven't talked to Romo since, that was 2010. I
- 0:39Speaker 1: haven't talked to him since then. Oh, y'all ain't friends? No,
- 0:42Speaker 1: I don't, me, no. Were you friends with him then? Yes, absolutely, bro.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Those boys. You know football is like a brotherhood. Right, right.
- 0:49Speaker 1: It's a brotherhood. So, I mean, and as everybody has
- 0:52Speaker 1: kind of found out, I hate it, it's like it
- 0:55Speaker 1: takes time for people to kind of get to know people. Right.
- 0:59Speaker 1: know who they really are. Like, I've always been that
- 1:01Speaker 1: type of person. It's like, me and you, like, we bros,
- 1:03Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Anything happen to you, vice versa,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I'm going to protect you, you protect me. And that's
- 1:10Speaker 1: how I was in that locker room with any of
- 1:12Speaker 1: my teammates. And then with that unfortunate situation, we end
- 1:15Speaker 1: up losing against the Giants and they had gone on
- 1:18Speaker 1: You know, Mexico, him and some of his boys. They
- 1:20Speaker 1: didn't invite you? The week of, no. Did you cry again? No, no, no.
- 1:24Speaker 1: My focus, I'm a different animal when it comes to football.
- 1:27Speaker 1: But my thing was they tried to blame the loss
- 1:31Speaker 1: on him and his friends going to Mexico on vacation. Like, really,
- 1:37Speaker 1: that didn't have anything to do with it. I'm sure
- 1:39Speaker 1: the vacation was before. Yeah, I'm a person that can compartmentalize. Right.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You know what I mean? So whatever I did like
- 1:44Speaker 1: a week before or a day before, They ain't got
- 1:46Speaker 1: nothing to do with what we're doing right now on Sunday,
- 1:48Speaker 1: the game. They just tried to make up something to
- 1:51Speaker 1: justify why we lost. So, yeah, I didn't like it.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I took up for him. I felt for him in
- 1:57Speaker 1: that situation. And then, yeah, I haven't talked to him
- 2:01Speaker 1: since then. This is Get to the Point, y'all.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Please like and subscribe. G-T-T-P pod. Or if it's on YouTube,
- 2:07Speaker 2: G-T-T-P podcast.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Boy, you get good at that, boy.
- 2:11Speaker 2: G-T-T-P, are you with me? I like the shows when
- 2:25Speaker 2: it's just me and you. I love our guests.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 2:27Speaker 2: But it's good that, you know, I've known you 20
- 2:29Speaker 2: plus years, but I don't know how many times we've
- 2:31Speaker 2: ever just sat down. We've never.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Nah.
- 2:33Speaker 2: It's always been after an event. On the fly, on
- 2:35Speaker 2: the go, events. Dave Brown is somewhere nearby.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Throwing oops, all that type of stuff. I got to
- 2:40Speaker 1: get the video of me throwing oops. Yeah, yeah. I
- 2:42Speaker 1: think that'll be a good kind of like intro to
- 2:45Speaker 1: the show.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Robert Griffith, a dear friend of both of ours,
- 2:49Speaker 2: had a celebrity basketball game, 1998. And it was you,
- 2:54Speaker 2: Randy Moss, Chris Carter, Dwayne Rudd.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Boyz II Men, Morris Chestnut, Dwayne Martin.
- 3:00Speaker 2: It was star-studded. And I just remember coming down, and
- 3:03Speaker 2: we already know the athlete you are. I could just
- 3:07Speaker 2: go like this and throw it just anywhere in the area,
- 3:09Speaker 2: and you would.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Oh, I'll go get that thing.
- 3:11Speaker 2: But you, Randy, everybody. I didn't know Chris Carter had
- 3:13Speaker 2: hops like that. First play to get it, he leaned
- 3:15Speaker 2: from the dot, and I was like, where am I?
- 3:19Speaker 2: NFL season is here.
- 3:21Speaker 1: You remember.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I mean, I got cut right before the season. What's
- 3:25Speaker 2: that feeling like before game one?
- 3:28Speaker 1: I mean, it was nerve-wracking for me, like my first
- 3:30Speaker 1: few years, because I always felt like I got to
- 3:33Speaker 1: prove myself and I wanted to make the team. I
- 3:38Speaker 1: didn't want to make any mistakes. So it's a lot
- 3:41Speaker 1: of anxiety, especially if you're like a first rounder, second rounder,
- 3:45Speaker 1: you're pretty much solidified. You know what I mean? You
- 3:47Speaker 1: know you're going to be there.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yeah, but there's still a little hungry dude right there
- 3:50Speaker 2: waiting for you to mess up.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Yeah, but if they put a lot of money into it,
- 3:53Speaker 1: for example, Cleveland Browns, what they're doing with Deshaun Watson,
- 4:00Speaker 1: you know Shador Sanders, he can really play. Right. But
- 4:03Speaker 1: because of the money invested in Deshaun, they're not going
- 4:05Speaker 1: to just let him walk out the door. Yeah. For me,
- 4:08Speaker 1: it was just me wanting to make my, honestly, my
- 4:11Speaker 1: family proud because I knew that we were going to
- 4:12Speaker 1: be on TV. Right. Especially my early years, my first
- 4:17Speaker 1: two or three years. You know, I wanted to prove
- 4:18Speaker 1: myself and then I just wanted to, I didn't want
- 4:20Speaker 1: to mess up. You know what I mean? Because, bro,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I had Jerry Rice, you know what I mean, to follow. Right. J.J. Stokes.
- 4:27Speaker 1: So I was in the wings of both of these
- 4:29Speaker 1: guys and honestly, I just wanted to contribute. Do well personally,
- 4:35Speaker 1: you know what I mean? You have your personal stats
- 4:37Speaker 1: and then you have your team goal, your team stats
- 4:39Speaker 1: and things of that nature that you want to accomplish.
- 4:42Speaker 1: But yeah, I mean, there's always, I mean, if you
- 4:44Speaker 1: play this game, you're going to have some nerves, you're
- 4:45Speaker 1: going to have some anxiety and then you hear it
- 4:47Speaker 1: all the time. Once that first hit or the whistle
- 4:49Speaker 1: blows or, you know, basketball player wants the ball tossed up, like,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you're ready to go. He's ready to go. Okay. I
- 4:54Speaker 1: know we've talked about Josh Allen kind of being overrated,
- 4:58Speaker 1: but he's still a great talent, great quarterback. You know,
- 5:00Speaker 1: it's so funny.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I had that same feeling about Josh Allen, and I'm
- 5:04Speaker 2: kind of rooting for him.
- 5:05Speaker 1: I mean, everybody, the city of Buffalo is rooting for him,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and I have been too. Last year, especially when the
- 5:13Speaker 1: Kansas City Chiefs weren't in the playoffs, And they've been
- 5:17Speaker 1: knocking at the door like the last two to three years,
- 5:20Speaker 1: and Kansas City has been knocking them out of the playoffs.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I honestly felt like those years, especially last year, was
- 5:27Speaker 1: their year. And, again, the inconsistency and then just the
- 5:32Speaker 1: untimely bad plays that Josh Allen, you know, come up
- 5:37Speaker 1: with is just, I mean, just wasn't the right time
- 5:40Speaker 1: to play bad. And I get, I can't imagine what
- 5:43Speaker 1: that's like, especially when you got the whole city of
- 5:45Speaker 1: Buffalo riding on your shoulders, the team, you knowing that
- 5:48Speaker 1: your Achilles heels that's been knocking you out, they're not
- 5:51Speaker 1: in your way. So... It's really deceiving.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Wait, you're saying they're not in their way? Or you're
- 5:58Speaker 2: saying they're back now?
- 5:59Speaker 1: No, there's a notice. Like I said, when they were
- 6:01Speaker 1: playing last year.
- 6:02Speaker 2: And they weren't there.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the Chiefs weren't in their way. Well, now they're back.
- 6:07Speaker 1: It seemed like a clear path to the Super Bowl. Like, yo, everybody,
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean, the team has been beating us every year.
- 6:14Speaker 1: We couldn't get past them. They're no longer in our way.
- 6:16Speaker 1: It's like, okay, all we got to do is just win.
- 6:19Speaker 1: But in order to win, you got to be mistake-free.
- 6:22Speaker 1: You can't have turnovers, and those are the things that happen,
- 6:24Speaker 1: especially as a quarterback. Sure, there are throws that he
- 6:28Speaker 1: wished he could take back, but in that moment, you
- 6:30Speaker 1: can't make those throws. If you see something there, it's
- 6:33Speaker 1: not that you can't force it. Throw the ball away,
- 6:36Speaker 1: lift to play another down.
- 6:37Speaker 2: What quarterback would you think is the best at taking
- 6:40Speaker 2: that gamble and coming through?
- 6:42Speaker 1: Brett Favre, like a Brett Favre. Patrick Mahomes, like throws that,
- 6:48Speaker 1: an average quarterback they wouldn't take, they wouldn't do, because
- 6:50Speaker 1: they know they're like, oh, number one, they probably think
- 6:52Speaker 1: it's going to be a pick, and if they do it,
- 6:55Speaker 1: it's going to be detrimental to the progress of getting
- 7:00Speaker 1: to the end zone. Those are plays, again, you just
- 7:03Speaker 1: got to be super-duper confident. If you're iffy, that's when
- 7:07Speaker 1: things happen. But if you're just a gambler, you're a gunslinger,
- 7:12Speaker 1: those are guys like Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Your Brett Favre,
- 7:17Speaker 1: like they did that. Aaron Rodgers, you mentioned him. How
- 7:20Speaker 1: old is Aaron now? Jesus Christ. Because Aaron was playing
- 7:24Speaker 1: when I was nine. How old is Aaron Rodgers? How
- 7:29Speaker 1: old is Aaron Rodgers? 42. You crazy, you crazy. That's
- 7:32Speaker 1: pretty old for a quarterback.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Well, a lot of these quarterbacks, quarterbacks probably last the longest.
- 7:36Speaker 1: And the thing is, what makes him probably seem old is,
- 7:41Speaker 1: number one, he's coming off that Achilles. Right. And he
- 7:44Speaker 1: hasn't really played up to the standards as he did
- 7:47Speaker 1: in Green Bay. But the dude can really play. And
- 7:50Speaker 1: I think if you think about what two years ago,
- 7:52Speaker 1: the first play of the game, he tears his Achilles.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Like there was like there was so much belief and
- 7:57Speaker 1: hype in that season. And then obviously it went straight
- 8:00Speaker 1: down the drain. And then obviously you coming back and
- 8:03Speaker 1: then there was rumors him coming back that that season. Yeah,
- 8:06Speaker 1: that was crazy, bro. You talk about. something heroic and
- 8:10Speaker 1: like barbaric and that's like some shit you would do
- 8:12Speaker 1: right that that would trust me if he would have
- 8:14Speaker 1: done that bro it would have eclipsed anything that that
- 8:18Speaker 1: i did attempted to do now you have the the
- 8:20Speaker 1: re uh emergence resurgence of of a coach that he
- 8:23Speaker 1: had um in green bay mike mccarthy um that's gonna
- 8:28Speaker 1: be i think for somebody when you have somebody that
- 8:32Speaker 1: of of familiarity. Right. That's going to make you want
- 8:36Speaker 1: to play well. Right. You're comfortable with the plays. There's
- 8:41Speaker 1: not a lot of decision, you know, decision makings that
- 8:44Speaker 1: you have to do learning a new offense. Because y'all
- 8:46Speaker 1: know each other. Yeah. It's going to make things that
- 8:48Speaker 1: much better. And then obviously you're going on, they're playing
- 8:51Speaker 1: the Atlanta Falcons. I mean, Tua, I mean, I don't
- 8:54Speaker 1: know how he's going to hold up the rest of
- 8:56Speaker 1: the year. I am hoping and I'm praying that he
- 8:59Speaker 1: doesn't have any concussions. But I just, I just don't
- 9:03Speaker 1: really think he's going to make it throughout the course
- 9:05Speaker 1: of the season.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Tua?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Tua.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Well, if he does, you know, he'll text himself and say,
- 9:09Speaker 2: great job.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Yeah, that's funny. Did you see that? Yeah, I saw that, man.
- 9:15Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Some of you don't know, Tua.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Burner account, right? He had a.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Phone that said something, and then he used his, he
- 9:24Speaker 2: thought he was congratulating himself on a burner phone, but
- 9:27Speaker 2: he congratulated himself.
- 9:29Speaker 1: From his real account. So I was like, good job, Tua. Love, Tua. Yo,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I mean, that may be part of the CTE. It
- 9:39Speaker 1: could be part of the reason why, you know what
- 9:41Speaker 1: I mean?
- 9:41Speaker 2: We're going to talk about CTE in a minute.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Let's finish getting your picks. I ain't going to tell you,
- 9:45Speaker 1: but that could be factoring into some of that. I
- 9:48Speaker 1: don't know. I'm really honest, and I know him personally.
- 9:51Speaker 1: I worked out with Tua when he was at Alabama.
- 9:54Speaker 1: I worked out when he was a true freshman. Went
- 9:56Speaker 1: down there, worked out with him, Calvin Ridley, Cam Sims,
- 9:59Speaker 1: all those guys. They were like, yo, this guy's going to...
- 10:02Speaker 1: He could be starting right now as a true freshman.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm like, what? This is when Jalen Hurts was starting quarterback.
- 10:07Speaker 1: And I was like, yo, no way. They couldn't find Jalen.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Worked out with the dude like he was making every
- 10:12Speaker 1: throw on the December. What? Very cerebral guy. But to see...
- 10:19Speaker 1: What he's gone through the last two to three years,
- 10:22Speaker 1: it's scary. Geno Smith, he's on his last leg. He's
- 10:28Speaker 1: been on a few teams in the last few years.
- 10:30Speaker 1: I think last time they were the Los Angeles Raiders,
- 10:32Speaker 1: didn't really play particularly well. It almost seems like he
- 10:36Speaker 1: had checked out in a sense, and then this offseason
- 10:39Speaker 1: had some issues, almost some domestic violence issues surrounding him.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Why do you think he keeps getting so many opportunities?
- 10:45Speaker 1: I don't know. Quarterbacks, bro, they probably get the most
- 10:47Speaker 1: opportunities It's almost like they get nine lives. You know
- 10:51Speaker 1: what I mean? Look at Teddy Bridgewater. I mean, left,
- 10:54Speaker 1: came back, coached high school, won a championship, came back.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Then you got Phillip Rivers, who came from the dead.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He came back from the dead. He was wrapped in
- 11:03Speaker 1: mummy gear. And he came back and played, which was
- 11:07Speaker 1: very remarkable, which I already told people, like, it doesn't matter.
- 11:10Speaker 1: If you can play the game, number one, given the opportunity,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you can roll. Just like me. I just haven't. I
- 11:17Speaker 1: wasn't given the opportunity that some of these guys are
- 11:19Speaker 1: being given. But yeah, I mean, yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 2: We kind of touched on the concussions situation with Tua.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:28Speaker 2: And just recently, Drewski, who is like probably the hottest
- 11:32Speaker 2: comedian on the planet right now with some of these
- 11:34Speaker 2: infamous sketches, the things we do with the preacher.
- 11:37Speaker 1: You call him comedian, content creator. He's not a standup comedian,
- 11:41Speaker 1: but he's still a comedian. Yeah. No? So, I mean,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I can be a comedian. You are a comedian. That's
- 11:46Speaker 1: why I chose you for this show. Okay, well, appreciate it.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Okay. He's in a lot of controversy. The thing he
- 11:51Speaker 2: did with the preacher, the thing he did with the
- 11:53Speaker 2: NASCAR guy.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah. The thing he did with Erica Kirk. Erica Kirk, yeah. Right,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and now.
- 11:59Speaker 2: He's getting a lot of.
- 12:01Speaker 1: With the little football parody or the skit. The CTE thing. Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 2: For those who don't know, Drewski did a sketch about
- 12:06Speaker 2: a football player getting CTE and kind of made humorous,
- 12:10Speaker 2: but not funny to everybody, especially former DB, TJ Ward,
- 12:16Speaker 2: who was like, you know, it's so funny. CTE is
- 12:19Speaker 2: the only disease that people make fun of. Now, when
- 12:22Speaker 2: he said that, I was like, is it a disease?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Or is it an ailment? It's not a disease, right?
- 12:28Speaker 1: But nonetheless, I understand where he was coming from. However
- 12:31Speaker 1: you categorize it.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Is it something to be made light of?
- 12:35Speaker 1: No. I mean, personally, no. And I could see where
- 12:39Speaker 1: people are on the fence about the sketches or just
- 12:43Speaker 1: what he was making fun of. Like I said, would
- 12:46Speaker 1: you make fun of somebody got brain cancer or women
- 12:51Speaker 1: that have breast cancer? Me personally, I wouldn't. I mean,
- 12:56Speaker 1: I think it's just such a sensitive topic now, especially
- 12:59Speaker 1: with a lot of athletes now that are committing suicide,
- 13:01Speaker 1: people are dying. Have you ever had a concussion? Yeah,
- 13:04Speaker 1: I've had a couple, not many. What does it feel like?
- 13:10Speaker 2: Besides, like, the obvious to us is, like.
- 13:12Speaker 1: You just don't remember. Like, one minute you are, everything
- 13:16Speaker 1: is live. You have all your faculties about you. Then
- 13:19Speaker 1: you get your bell rung a little bit. You don't
- 13:21Speaker 1: remember nothing. Like, you can't remember, like, what I just said.
- 13:24Speaker 1: I couldn't remember what I just said, like, 30 seconds ago. Like, yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 1: you just don't know anything. That's why they have the
- 13:31Speaker 1: doctors come over. They have a series of questions to
- 13:34Speaker 1: try to, you know, see where you are with your
- 13:37Speaker 1: faculties or what have you. Like, what quarter are you in?
- 13:39Speaker 1: What was the last play that was called? Do you
- 13:41Speaker 1: remember what route you ran? All those things to try
- 13:44Speaker 1: to figure out, okay, are you, do you still have
- 13:45Speaker 1: your wits about you? But yeah, it's nothing. It's a
- 13:49Speaker 1: little bit scary. I remember one game I was in St.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Louis Rams. I ran a curl route and it was
- 13:55Speaker 1: just a regular curl route. Caught the ball, got hit.
- 14:00Speaker 1: And bro, I was like, something went wrong. I was like, yo,
- 14:03Speaker 1: I blacked out for a second. Like I didn't see anything.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It was black for like about three seconds. And then
- 14:08Speaker 1: I came to, and I'm like, what, what had just happened?
- 14:12Speaker 1: I went and I saw my team. So I just
- 14:14Speaker 1: went back to the huddle, just natural, normal stuff. And
- 14:17Speaker 1: I'm in the huddle and I'm looking at all my
- 14:19Speaker 1: teammates and I'm hearing the quarterback call to play. And
- 14:24Speaker 1: I'm looking at him and I knew we got to
- 14:27Speaker 1: go out of the huddle. And I'm like, yo, what
- 14:30Speaker 1: do I got? I'm in my, I'm in my mind.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm like, what do I have? And I'm talking to,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm running up to the huddle. And
- 14:37Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, what's the play? What do I got?
- 14:39Speaker 1: What route do I run? What route do I run?
- 14:41Speaker 1: I had no idea what I was supposed to run.
- 14:44Speaker 1: When the quarterback was talking, could you hear him? Yeah,
- 14:46Speaker 1: I heard him. I heard everything. And I'm trying to
- 14:49Speaker 1: decipher like what he's saying. I hear him, but I
- 14:52Speaker 1: didn't know what I had. I heard the play. And
- 14:55Speaker 1: then I got to the line. I'm like, as I'm
- 14:57Speaker 1: going to the line of scrimmage, I'm like, yo, what
- 14:59Speaker 1: do I got? What do I got? And he didn't
- 15:01Speaker 1: hear me, so literally when the ball snapped, bro, I
- 15:04Speaker 1: just ran over the ball. He threw it to me
- 15:06Speaker 1: and I caught it again. I caught it and I
- 15:09Speaker 1: got the yardage on, didn't know what I was doing.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I just ran over the ball, caught the ball, got
- 15:15Speaker 1: a few more yards. And they knew something was wrong.
- 15:19Speaker 2: But you knew something was wrong, but you didn't know
- 15:20Speaker 2: it was a concussion at the time, right?
- 15:22Speaker 1: I didn't really, I don't even know if I thought
- 15:25Speaker 1: about it. I just knew that I went back to
- 15:28Speaker 1: the huddle I'm looking at everybody in the huddle. It
- 15:32Speaker 1: was like I'm watching the move and everything was like,
- 15:34Speaker 1: you know, the close up, you know, this shot, this
- 15:36Speaker 1: is your shot. And I could see myself looking at
- 15:40Speaker 1: everybody and I'm hearing the play called. I just ran
- 15:44Speaker 1: over the ball. He threw it to me. It was
- 15:47Speaker 1: the wrong route, but they knew something was wrong. That's
- 15:50Speaker 1: when they brought me to the sideline. They took my helmet.
- 15:53Speaker 1: They take you through the concussion protocol. Um, like I said,
- 15:57Speaker 1: with the doctors, they're asking you all these questions and
- 15:59Speaker 1: then clearly I was just out of sorts for a second.
- 16:02Speaker 1: And then by the time I got to the sideline,
- 16:04Speaker 1: like my bearings had come, come back to me. And, um,
- 16:07Speaker 1: but yeah, it's, I don't, I just don't honestly, I
- 16:09Speaker 1: just don't honestly think that it's something to, to make
- 16:12Speaker 1: light of. And I think Drewski, yeah, my feelings about Drewski. Yeah. He's,
- 16:17Speaker 1: he's fun. Everybody got a little humor to him, whatever,
- 16:19Speaker 1: but some shit is just too far for me. Right.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I feel, I echo the same sentiments as TJ Ward.
- 16:25Speaker 1: I don't know him personally. But we share the same
- 16:27Speaker 1: sentiments when I just don't think this is, just think
- 16:31Speaker 1: about DeMar Hamlin. He got hit. He nearly died on
- 16:35Speaker 1: the football field. Those are the sensitivities I think where
- 16:39Speaker 1: people are coming from. And then, too, like the NFL
- 16:42Speaker 1: as a whole, like we don't have lifetime health insurance
- 16:47Speaker 1: like these other entities, other sports. Or guaranteed contracts, right? Right.
- 16:52Speaker 1: And these are the things I think this is where
- 16:54Speaker 1: a lot of players are probably coming from. It's like, yo,
- 16:56Speaker 1: we're already suffering as it is from a physical standpoint.
- 17:00Speaker 1: Then from a mental standpoint, while you're playing and post football,
- 17:04Speaker 1: we go through so much, bro. Even my body has
- 17:06Speaker 1: gone through it. There are ailments that people just don't
- 17:09Speaker 1: know we go through in our homes. Like, bro, I've
- 17:13Speaker 1: had to go to the doctor for little things. I
- 17:14Speaker 1: don't say it. I don't show it. People are like, oh, bro,
- 17:17Speaker 1: you can play tomorrow. Like, yeah, I probably could. But
- 17:20Speaker 1: my body has taken... It has taken its toll, bro.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I've got taken a beating. And a lot of guys
- 17:25Speaker 1: that hit every day, practice, linemen hit every play. Defensive
- 17:31Speaker 1: linemen often– Helmet to helmet. They hit every play. And
- 17:36Speaker 1: he's a big guy, so he's making fun. And then Tua,
- 17:40Speaker 1: to do that right there, that's scary. That's a scary moment.
- 17:44Speaker 1: I know people have personal experiences with it, They have friends,
- 17:50Speaker 1: they have family members that have gone through something as
- 17:53Speaker 1: serious as that could almost lose their lives. So I
- 17:56Speaker 1: think sometimes like the sketches and the parodies, I think
- 17:59Speaker 1: it just goes too far. But you being a comedian,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I mean, we've touched on a few comics or whatever
- 18:06Speaker 1: that have said some insensitive things. Where does the line
- 18:12Speaker 1: stop with you? Like where is the line? Do you
- 18:14Speaker 1: feel like a line has to be drawn? Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I mean... We live in a different time. There were
- 18:23Speaker 2: some things that Pryor and Eddie and comedians of the
- 18:29Speaker 2: past got away with saying, but some of that stuff
- 18:31Speaker 2: you can't get away with now. The whole controversy during
- 18:34Speaker 2: the Kevin Hart roast with the George Floyd joke.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Comedians are different. We have a thicker skin.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I think Kevin got a lot of flack for not
- 18:53Speaker 2: sticking up for the George Floyd family when the joke happened.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Right, especially when he was there. Right. He was in
- 18:59Speaker 1: support of George Floyd, but didn't turn around.
- 19:02Speaker 2: But then in Kevin's defense, or the way Kevin defended himself,
- 19:05Speaker 2: a lot of stuff he did wrong, like I thought
- 19:06Speaker 2: the way he handled it on The Breakfast Club. But
- 19:10Speaker 2: one thing he did say that I agree with is like,
- 19:12Speaker 2: they're talking about my dead mother, my dead father.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But that's no excuse. That's almost like... That's an excuse.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I'm just saying... I know it's the justification, but like
- 19:20Speaker 1: I said, that's almost an excuse. Like we're calling a
- 19:24Speaker 1: white person a racist and then like, oh, well, I
- 19:26Speaker 1: have black friends. That's what that is. Not necessarily.
- 19:30Speaker 2: In a sense. I think just what Kevin was saying
- 19:32Speaker 2: is he views comedy differently.
- 19:37Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Just like white people see
- 19:39Speaker 1: it differently when we call them racist.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Well, just like I might, though I didn't, I might
- 19:46Speaker 2: find a CTE joke funny, but I'm not somebody who's
- 19:49Speaker 2: been offended. by CTE or had friends you know what
- 19:52Speaker 2: I mean just like somebody might do a gay joke
- 19:55Speaker 2: and I might be offended because my brother's gay no
- 19:59Speaker 2: my brother ain't gay but I'm just saying there's certain
- 20:02Speaker 2: things when it's familiar that makes you feel a certain
- 20:05Speaker 2: way you know what I mean.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Tell me is it is it any different than comedians
- 20:12Speaker 1: making fun of people with disabilities.
- 20:15Speaker 2: So funny you said that because I do a joke
- 20:17Speaker 2: right now about a person who has a disability, right?
- 20:21Speaker 2: And I stopped doing it until a person with a
- 20:24Speaker 2: disability called me a bitch for not doing the joke anymore.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Basically was the spokesman for the people with disabilities. I
- 20:34Speaker 2: was like, you don't think we can take it? And
- 20:36Speaker 2: I was like, no, my friends told me, no, fuck that,
- 20:38Speaker 2: all right?
- 20:39Speaker 1: We can take it.
- 20:41Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, because he was really going,
- 20:42Speaker 2: I'm not normal?
- 20:43Speaker 1: You don't think I'm normal?
- 20:44Speaker 2: So it's tricky.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 20:47Speaker 2: Just like some white boys can say the N-word around
- 20:51Speaker 2: some of their black friends.
- 20:52Speaker 1: And they get a pass?
- 20:53Speaker 2: They get a pass with them, but nigga, you can't
- 20:55Speaker 2: say it around me.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Right, yeah. You know what I mean?
- 20:57Speaker 2: So when it's familial, it's different.
- 21:01Speaker 1: When is it acceptable? Just like Kev on stage, right?
- 21:04Speaker 1: Good friend of ours. There's some stuff he does in
- 21:06Speaker 1: the clubs he can't do in the church. You know
- 21:08Speaker 1: what I mean? Right, right. it's knowing where you are
- 21:11Speaker 1: at all times. And I think, yeah, I think as
- 21:13Speaker 1: a comedian, kind of like, I guess you got to
- 21:16Speaker 1: pick and choose, you know what I mean? And then
- 21:17Speaker 1: understanding what you're doing, there's going to be some backlash
- 21:20Speaker 1: to it. And I think once he probably starts seeing
- 21:25Speaker 1: opportunities slow down or people start canceling him, then maybe
- 21:29Speaker 1: that will deter him from doing some of those kind
- 21:33Speaker 1: of like sensitive. But who's been canceled?
- 21:35Speaker 2: Who's been canceled?
- 21:36Speaker 1: They use the word cancel.
- 21:38Speaker 2: I know.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I know. Yeah. I mean, exactly.
- 21:40Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know anybody who's been canceled. I mean,
- 21:42Speaker 2: so many people I've heard has been canceled. They're making
- 21:44Speaker 2: more money now.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, Target took a hit. We canceled.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Oh, no, definitely.
- 21:49Speaker 1: They took a hit for a minute, especially for Halloween. Thanks, Viola. But.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Comedian-wise, you know, you've heard Dave got canceled and Tracy
- 21:59Speaker 2: Morgan's getting canceled.
- 22:00Speaker 1: People say that, but they don't follow through with it.
- 22:03Speaker 1: It's funny when you get them in front of a
- 22:05Speaker 1: microphone or behind a microphone or they're behind their phones
- 22:10Speaker 1: or their keys. Yeah, they say a lot of stuff,
- 22:12Speaker 1: but then they don't follow through with it. It's like
- 22:14Speaker 1: an impulse thing. It's like in the moment.
- 22:16Speaker 2: A lot of them don't believe what they say, but
- 22:18Speaker 2: it's easy to be behind the microphone.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah. And then, too, I think if people jumped on
- 22:22Speaker 1: the train and, like, people just really... backed up what
- 22:26Speaker 1: they said, they walk the walk and talk the talk,
- 22:29Speaker 1: then I think there will be some movement, but it's
- 22:31Speaker 1: all talk. The wait is over. Football is here and
- 22:35Speaker 1: so is DraftKings. The DraftKings Sports app is now live
- 22:39Speaker 1: in all 50 states. That means from Texas to California
- 22:43Speaker 1: to Florida, Every fan is in on the excitement. And
- 22:46Speaker 1: this September, DraftKings is giving customers the opportunity to get
- 22:50Speaker 1: boosted every football game day. That's right. Every game day,
- 22:54Speaker 1: all month long, DraftKings customers can get a football profit boost.
- 22:59Speaker 1: All right, it's.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Time for Get to the Pick, sponsored by DraftKings. All right,
- 23:03Speaker 2: we got Niners, Rams.
- 23:06Speaker 1: Now, they're both in Australia.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Now, if you had your druthers, would you rather get
- 23:12Speaker 2: to Australia early and soak in the sun, the atmosphere,
- 23:16Speaker 2: the new climate? Or would you rather get there like
- 23:19Speaker 2: two days before, like the Rams, and be like, yo,
- 23:21Speaker 2: I'm ready to play tomorrow?
- 23:23Speaker 1: I would look at this as a business trip. I'd
- 23:26Speaker 1: be like the Rams. I'd just get straight to business. Niners, Rams.
- 23:31Speaker 1: I'm going to go with the Rams. The Niners have
- 23:35Speaker 1: had their share of issues all summer long. Yes. Oh, yes.
- 23:39Speaker 1: And the other issue is going to be the Rams. Yes.
- 23:43Speaker 1: All right, Browns and Jags.
- 23:45Speaker 2: We got two guys going against each other, former classmates, teammates.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Teammates, yeah. Shador. Colorado Buffs, Buffaloes. And Travis Hunter. Yep. Obviously,
- 23:54Speaker 1: even with Deshaun Watson being the starter, I think he knows.
- 23:58Speaker 1: If you don't know, it's a lot of pressure on him. Sure.
- 24:01Speaker 1: He got to go out and deliver. He got to
- 24:03Speaker 1: play well. I don't know how long that's going to last.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I don't know how many games they're going to give
- 24:06Speaker 1: him to prove himself. He can't– He can't go 0-1,
- 24:11Speaker 1: but this week may not look so good for him.
- 24:14Speaker 1: He's going against the Jaguars, Trevor Lawrence, Travis Hunter. Those
- 24:20Speaker 1: guys were balling toward the end of the season. They
- 24:23Speaker 1: made the playoffs. I mean, honestly, I think if Travis
- 24:25Speaker 1: would have been playing in the playoffs, like they would
- 24:27Speaker 1: have gone further. Now Travis is 100% healthy. Man, trust me,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I'm going Jaguars in this one all day.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Let me ask you a question. Deshaun Watson's getting a
- 24:36Speaker 2: lot of money. Is it possible that during the game,
- 24:38Speaker 2: if he's playing bad, they'll bring in Shadur or Dillon?
- 24:43Speaker 1: Oh, I don't know. It depends on how bad he's playing.
- 24:47Speaker 1: For some odd reason, they end up winning. I think
- 24:50Speaker 1: that's good for the Cleveland Browns. It's not going to
- 24:52Speaker 1: bode well for obviously Shadur. That means you're going to
- 24:55Speaker 1: sit on the bench for a little bit longer. But, yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 1: I mean, I think Deshaun knows that as soon as
- 25:01Speaker 1: he starts playing bad, especially if it's a stretch of games,
- 25:05Speaker 1: His time in Cleveland is up.
- 25:08Speaker 2: My daughter's favorite team, Baltimore Ravens versus the Colts.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Got Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts quarterback. You got against versus
- 25:16Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson. I'm going Lamar Jackson in this one. They
- 25:20Speaker 1: got some speedy receivers, Zay Flowers. Yeah, I mean, Derrick Henry,
- 25:28Speaker 1: run game. This is apples and oranges right here. This
- 25:32Speaker 1: is no contest.
- 25:33Speaker 2: You say they're going to blow them out?
- 25:34Speaker 1: This is going to be no contest. Yeah, this may
- 25:39Speaker 1: be a blowout. I like turf, too. I don't know
- 25:41Speaker 1: how Lamar feels about turf. I run fast on turf.
- 25:45Speaker 1: Don't most people run fast on turf? Yeah, yeah. But,
- 25:46Speaker 1: I mean, it's one of those speedy games. It's one
- 25:48Speaker 1: of the games, too. So it's going to be great
- 25:50Speaker 1: for him. Yes. I mean, inside, no weather. This is
- 25:55Speaker 1: definitely a game I think that's going to bode well.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Even though it's a home game for the Indianapolis Colts,
- 26:00Speaker 1: I'm rolling. I'm riding with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens,
- 26:03Speaker 1: your daughter's favorite team. Let's go. You heard it here
- 26:06Speaker 1: from T.O. One app, every sport, all 50 states. New

- 26:54Speaker 3: lot of people, you know, they talk a lot of
- 26:55Speaker 3: shit online and then nothing happens. Unless you're Ray J
- 26:57Speaker 3: and Orlando Brown, bro.
- 27:24Speaker 1: What is Ray J doing?
- 27:25Speaker 2: Ray J has become famous again. For all the wrong reasons,
- 27:31Speaker 2: by the way. It's like Brandy is now Ray J's sister. What?
- 27:36Speaker 1: Yo, Ray J, he has found a new- It's almost
- 27:40Speaker 1: like he's chasing a check or something, bro.
- 27:44Speaker 2: What's going on? I mean, that whole little Twitch generation-
- 27:46Speaker 2: Because it doesn't make any sense. To us- Well, maybe
- 27:51Speaker 2: he has CTE, especially after that hit from Super Hot Fire.
- 27:55Speaker 1: What kind of name is that? Super Hot Fire. That's
- 27:58Speaker 1: a girl? No, that's a guy. Named Super Hot Fire?
- 28:01Speaker 2: Social media guy. He actually can fight. I saw him
- 28:04Speaker 2: have another fight. He ain't shaped like a boxer.
- 28:08Speaker 1: He got some skills. He got some experience. He got
- 28:09Speaker 1: some fucking skills. He put those hands on Ray J.
- 28:12Speaker 1: The funniest part about when he hit Ray J, Ray
- 28:15Speaker 1: J was like, you do something instead of it's like
- 28:18Speaker 1: you're fucking up the money what are you doing we
- 28:21Speaker 1: had a plan right but I mean this behavior is
- 28:24Speaker 1: really bizarre for me I mean I've been around Ray
- 28:30Speaker 1: J I've been around I know his sister like Raycon
- 28:34Speaker 1: electronics all the things that he's doing in the tech
- 28:37Speaker 1: field like bro and then obviously music musically inclined like
- 28:42Speaker 1: I just thought he was on a path of really
- 28:45Speaker 1: being entrepreneurial, owning your own business, really being an example
- 28:48Speaker 1: to the black community. Bro, it's just like.
- 28:52Speaker 2: I think he's having fun.
- 28:53Speaker 1: Bro, fun? Yes.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Did you see the Orlando Brown fight?
- 28:56Speaker 1: Bro, and then to see how out of shape he's gotten.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Right. Well, he's an older man.
- 29:01Speaker 1: Bro, he got a.
- 29:02Speaker 2: We all can't be like this for the rest of
- 29:04Speaker 2: our lives, okay?
- 29:05Speaker 1: He's got a booty do. You got a booty do?
- 29:07Speaker 1: Your stomach's picked this time. Your stomach stick out farther
- 29:12Speaker 1: than your booty do? Bro, he got a stomach, bro.
- 29:16Speaker 1: It's crazy. Like, bro, it's... I know everybody's not me,
- 29:22Speaker 1: but I just can't walk around. That's part of his image,
- 29:26Speaker 1: his likeness, what he does. Being a musician, being in shape,
- 29:29Speaker 1: things of that nature to promote your brand. Well, he
- 29:33Speaker 1: got in shape for his last fight, the one against
- 29:34Speaker 1: Orlando Brown.
- 29:35Speaker 2: How? Bro, he looked the same. I guess maybe because
- 29:37Speaker 2: we kept looking at Orlando Brown. and you keep saying
- 29:40Speaker 2: that there's no entrepreneurship with these guys orlando brown i
- 29:44Speaker 2: don't know if you guys know this.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I don't really know a new line of bras coming
- 29:48Speaker 1: out not a new line of what brassieres did you
- 29:52Speaker 1: see did you say bra bro they both had titties
- 29:56Speaker 1: and stomachs like bro they look They both have BMW bodies.
- 30:01Speaker 1: What's that stand for? Body made wrong. Bro, they look awful.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I think they announced the fight an hour before the fight.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Back to my point.
- 30:11Speaker 2: They didn't have enough time to get in shape.
- 30:13Speaker 1: But back to my point, bro. Do you think it's
- 30:15Speaker 1: just theatrics with Ray J? Is he chasing money, checks?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Yes, and he's getting big checks.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Bro, how much are they getting? Because if they get
- 30:26Speaker 1: money like that, I'm about to get in the ring
- 30:28Speaker 1: with somebody. Yeah, who you want to fight? There's a
- 30:31Speaker 1: couple people. I just leave. I mean, if the money right,
- 30:34Speaker 1: I'm signing up. Okay.
- 30:36Speaker 2: Anybody who wants to fight T.O. for $ 2 million, DM us.
- 30:41Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. At GTTP. Some I'll knock out for an
- 30:44Speaker 1: extra two. No, no.
- 30:45Speaker 2: We got to act like you can't be knocking them out.
- 30:47Speaker 1: No, I'm knocking people out. Because we got to get
- 30:48Speaker 1: two and three fights out. I'm the dog. You my promoter?
- 30:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you ain't going to be knocking motherfuckers out the
- 30:54Speaker 2: first fight. You need to make the first fight close.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Yeah, because if I knock somebody, ain't nobody going to
- 30:58Speaker 1: want to fight me. Ain't nobody going to want to
- 30:59Speaker 1: fight you. You're fucking up my money.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Just like Ray J's told Super Hot 5, you're fucking
- 31:03Speaker 2: up the money. Right.
- 31:05Speaker 1: That was crazy, right? So that, I mean, he just
- 31:07Speaker 1: kind of just throwing salt in the game, just letting
- 31:09Speaker 1: people know like... No, this shit is fixed. Yeah, like
- 31:11Speaker 1: it's rigged.
- 31:12Speaker 2: You remember back in the day when people talked trash,
- 31:15Speaker 2: something usually happened after. Now these people get to hide.
- 31:19Speaker 2: You could talk shit to somebody from Fort Wayne, Indiana,
- 31:21Speaker 2: and then there's a guy... in San Diego and they'll
- 31:24Speaker 2: never meet. But when we talk trash, there wasn't that
- 31:28Speaker 2: long this is trash.
- 31:29Speaker 1: We talking trash right here. I gotta see you.
- 31:31Speaker 2: I gotta see you.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I know who to talk trash to too. And I
- 31:35Speaker 2: know who not to talk trash to. Not to talk
- 31:38Speaker 2: trash to. I was just talking to tell them a
- 31:39Speaker 2: story to, you know, we live in the suburbs. So
- 31:42Speaker 2: I'm not sure if my kids can fight, right? Because
- 31:44Speaker 2: they talk trash and then that's it, right?
- 31:47Speaker 1: Right. But when you grow up in the hood, you
- 31:49Speaker 1: know who can fight and who can't fight by fights, right? Right.
- 31:53Speaker 2: I knew I could fight by the fights I had,
- 31:55Speaker 2: but I was strategic with my fights.
- 31:57Speaker 1: Right, you know who you're not going to pick a
- 31:58Speaker 1: fight with.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I wouldn't fight that motherfucker, but I'll fight that motherfucker.
- 32:01Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Did you have many fights
- 32:02Speaker 1: growing up? Yeah, I got beat up a lot when
- 32:05Speaker 1: I was a tattletale. Yeah, I was telling on people. T.O.
- 32:10Speaker 1: was a snitch? Yeah. I mean, yeah, we didn't call
- 32:14Speaker 1: it snitch back then, but I know what I know.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Are you talking elementary school, junior high school?
- 32:18Speaker 1: Yeah, junior high, like, yeah, junior high, you know. Not
- 32:22Speaker 1: really high school.
- 32:22Speaker 2: I'm talking about when you had some size on you,
- 32:24Speaker 2: high school.
- 32:24Speaker 1: No, I didn't really have no size until I got
- 32:26Speaker 1: out of, like, college, really. How much did you weigh
- 32:31Speaker 1: in high school? 180, 85 pounds. That's some size for
- 32:34Speaker 1: a high school receiver. No, I was 6'1. That's skinny,
- 32:38Speaker 1: skinny and scrawny. Right. When I left high school, I
- 32:41Speaker 1: was about 180, 185. So just think, like, my freshman,
- 32:43Speaker 1: I was like 170, 170. Like, I was, bro, tiny.
- 32:48Speaker 2: And you were getting beat up then? I love the honesty,
- 32:55Speaker 2: because usually people lie. I was knocking motherfuckers out in
- 32:58Speaker 2: high school.
- 32:59Speaker 1: Yeah, man, I don't like you just telling me I
- 33:02Speaker 1: got beat up. You said it. I know, but... Yeah,
- 33:05Speaker 1: I mean, I got beat up, man, because, yeah, and
- 33:07Speaker 1: then that's what, honestly, that's what motivated me to get
- 33:10Speaker 1: in the weight room. Right. I started taking whoopings and then,
- 33:13Speaker 1: you know, I keep talking about my grandma, but she
- 33:15Speaker 1: wasn't having that. Right. She wasn't having that. You coming
- 33:17Speaker 1: in the house talking about somebody beat you up, you're
- 33:19Speaker 1: going to go out there and you're going to fight
- 33:22Speaker 1: them again. Right. Fight me or fight them. If you
- 33:26Speaker 1: get your butt whooping, you're going to get another butt
- 33:28Speaker 1: whooping when you get in the house. So it got
- 33:29Speaker 1: to the point of like I got tired of getting
- 33:31Speaker 1: butt whoopings, two butt whoopings. So it was just like, man,
- 33:34Speaker 1: I got to do something. So I started lifting weights. Honestly, yeah.
- 33:38Speaker 1: So that helped me twofold. That lifting weights, I started
- 33:43Speaker 1: to figure out that it helped me twofold. Number one,
- 33:48Speaker 1: with football kind of helped me, you know, develop into
- 33:50Speaker 1: my football body. I needed strength and stuff. But then
- 33:54Speaker 1: it gave me a lot of confidence too because I
- 33:56Speaker 1: started to see the muscles here and there. So that
- 33:58Speaker 1: gave me a lot of confidence to really stand up
- 34:00Speaker 1: for myself. And then, too, at the same time, like,
- 34:01Speaker 1: I wasn't finna go back in the house. And, like,
- 34:03Speaker 1: if I got in a fight, I wasn't telling my
- 34:05Speaker 1: grandma because, you know, what happened? If you got your butt,
- 34:08Speaker 1: you're going to get another butt whooping.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Have you hit somebody with this strength?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Oh, yeah. You hear about the thing, the fight, the
- 34:15Speaker 1: man that happened when I was in Philly with Hugh Douglas?
- 34:18Speaker 1: You fought Big Hugh? Oh, got at him. Yeah, yeah.
- 34:22Speaker 1: I mean, that's a story that before... Social media, where
- 34:28Speaker 1: it is now? Before social media, well, where it is? Man,
- 34:32Speaker 1: it traveled across the league like we had social media,
- 34:36Speaker 1: like we had.
- 34:37Speaker 2: That motherfucker weighed about 260, 270.
- 34:38Speaker 1: It didn't matter. I was to the point, like, I
- 34:41Speaker 1: was a big receiver then. Right. And all I remember
- 34:44Speaker 1: is my grandma would tell me, don't let nobody run
- 34:47Speaker 1: over you. I almost blacked out for a second. We
- 34:52Speaker 1: got at it, but I mean. We've talked about it.
- 34:54Speaker 1: We're friends now. That's great. And then he has his
- 34:57Speaker 1: version of the story. I have my version of the story.
- 34:59Speaker 1: And then there's people with their version that saw what happened.
- 35:03Speaker 1: What do these people think? I held my own. I
- 35:06Speaker 1: held my own. And like I said, me and Hugh,
- 35:08Speaker 1: we've talked about it. We're friends now. It's water under
- 35:12Speaker 1: the bridge. But you talked about now, have I hit somebody?
- 35:16Speaker 1: I'm scared to know what I would do. with these
- 35:19Speaker 1: hands if I was in a boxing ring, to be
- 35:20Speaker 1: quite honest. I have so much probably like... You're fucking
- 35:23Speaker 1: up the money. Yeah, I have so much probably... You.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Think you can fight.
- 35:27Speaker 1: We're going to find somebody. No, I mean, like I said,
- 35:29Speaker 1: I'm not a punk by any means. I'm not going
- 35:32Speaker 1: to go out provoking or looking for fights or anything
- 35:34Speaker 1: of that nature. I'm going to protect me. I'm going
- 35:36Speaker 1: to protect the people that I love, especially my kids. Anything,
- 35:40Speaker 1: you know, family, it's a trigger. You know what I mean?
- 35:44Speaker 1: But yeah, like I said, I'm a person that's going
- 35:46Speaker 1: to protect myself And I'm going to stick up for myself.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I'm going to stand on business. So, yeah, I don't.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Go around. Looking for fights? Looking for fights. No. They
- 35:55Speaker 1: aren't licensed. They aren't licensed. You know what I mean? But,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I mean, like I said, if somebody wants some smoke,
- 36:01Speaker 1: you know what I mean, they'll get it. If I
- 36:04Speaker 1: have to, I will. I slang these things. All right.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Well, if there's anybody out there that wants some of
- 36:09Speaker 2: my fighter, as you can see, you could be up
- 36:14Speaker 2: to 270 pounds. Anybody from high school, junior.
- 36:16Speaker 1: High, Donovan McNabb. Tony Romo. People ask me about this, like,
- 36:22Speaker 1: would you fight Donovan Bennett? Absolutely. Would I fight Romo? Absolutely.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I would go in there with so much rage, bro,
- 36:30Speaker 1: they wouldn't stand a chance. And I'm telling them right now,
- 36:33Speaker 1: wouldn't stand a chance. All right. Would not stand a chance.
- 36:36Speaker 2: You can either hit me at TheRealChrisPencer or you can
- 36:38Speaker 2: hit us at GTTP.
- 36:39Speaker 1: P.O.D. I like how I just become a fighter all
- 36:42Speaker 1: of a sudden. We're promoting fighting. Stop hitting your hands.
- 36:44Speaker 1: You're going to mess them up. Man, we're supposed to
- 36:46Speaker 1: be promoting positivity. Yes. All right. Well, speaking of positivity. Yeah.
- 36:51Speaker 2: They finally are about to put away the murder of Tupac.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Yes.
- 36:58Speaker 2: This long- Awaited. Case from a dude who said he
- 37:02Speaker 2: did it 20 years ago. But that's never here again.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Did he say? Ben said he did it. For real?
- 37:08Speaker 1: For real. He didn't pull the trigger, but he was
- 37:13Speaker 1: the orchestrator of the event. He's an accomplice. Sort of
- 37:15Speaker 1: like an accomplice. Yeah. Not sort of. He's an accomplice
- 37:18Speaker 1: to the group. Yeah, he orchestrated. He's like hired. He gone.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But what's so crazy about that is that it's been
- 37:28Speaker 1: 30 years that I'm pretty sure, do you think he's,
- 37:32Speaker 1: had some anxiety or looking over his shoulder or just
- 37:35Speaker 1: knowing at some point, I think it would come to this.
- 37:38Speaker 2: He probably was tired of looking over his shoulders.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Like, listen, I do. I need to go to jail.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I need to go to prison for this. Well, he
- 37:44Speaker 1: lived 30 extra years with free. Yeah. I think it's just,
- 37:49Speaker 1: it's unfortunate what happened. I mean, do you remember where
- 37:52Speaker 1: you were when you heard Tupac? I was with the Niners, um,
- 37:55Speaker 1: in the Bay area. That's when I had honestly start,
- 37:58Speaker 1: obviously in college, you know, dear mama, Tupac, like, all
- 38:03Speaker 1: the music, and then when I got to the Bay Area,
- 38:06Speaker 1: I used to go to like Fremont, San Angelo, Hayward,
- 38:11Speaker 1: all those areas, and I used to go get my
- 38:13Speaker 1: hair cut in Fremont from a barber who obviously they
- 38:16Speaker 1: knew Tupac personally. When it happened, I was like, I
- 38:19Speaker 1: think it had happened and I went to go get
- 38:21Speaker 1: my hair cut. So that's when I started hearing all
- 38:23Speaker 1: the barbershop talk and people in the Bay Area that
- 38:26Speaker 1: knew him personally. And I'm like, man, that was like
- 38:29Speaker 1: my first year like being in california so i'm starting
- 38:32Speaker 1: to know like all the bay area like hip-hop rapper
- 38:36Speaker 1: stars like young uh little mug mugsy and e40 too
- 38:40Speaker 1: short right i was starting to know i'm like yo
- 38:43Speaker 1: i'm right in their backyard coming from alabama and then
- 38:45Speaker 1: obviously tennessee and i'm like yo i'm like right here
- 38:48Speaker 1: in like california you know i mean i'm like this
- 38:50Speaker 1: is like the land of stars you know i mean
- 38:52Speaker 1: so yeah just yeah i yeah i was i was
- 38:54Speaker 1: my rookie year i remember when it happened and Obviously,
- 38:57Speaker 1: it was like a dark cloud over the Bay Area
- 38:59Speaker 1: because he was big in the Bay. Right. You know
- 39:01Speaker 1: what I mean? Yeah, I got the call.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Like that night, a friend of mine who was in
- 39:06Speaker 2: that camp was giving me like, for lack of a
- 39:08Speaker 2: better word, play-by-play.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Play-by-play.
- 39:10Speaker 2: And I was like, she was in the car with him.
- 39:14Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 39:15Speaker 2: She was telling me stuff that we found out later.
- 39:18Speaker 2: And it just seemed like a nightmare. I don't even
- 39:22Speaker 2: want to call it a dream.
- 39:23Speaker 1: Right. And then obviously then people started speculating, like it
- 39:26Speaker 1: was a setup, you know what I mean? They were
- 39:27Speaker 1: saying like, I think Suge said.
- 39:28Speaker 2: I'm like, how you set him up in the car?
- 39:30Speaker 1: Right. Risk and not, like he could have been killed too.
- 39:33Speaker 1: So yeah. So if there was like two people I
- 39:36Speaker 1: wish I could have met, Tupac would have been one
- 39:40Speaker 1: of them. And Michael, obviously Michael Jackson. Oh yeah. I
- 39:43Speaker 1: wish I would have gotten the chance to meet those two.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I got a chance to meet both of them. Really? Yes.
- 39:48Speaker 2: The big celebrity death that I was close to was
- 39:51Speaker 2: when Biggie died. So, you remember it was at the
- 39:54Speaker 2: Peterson Museum.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Biggie is another one. I don't know nothing about the
- 39:57Speaker 1: Peterson Museum. Oh, down L.A. Fairfax and Wilshire. Yes. I
- 40:02Speaker 1: thought it was my party.
- 40:05Speaker 2: So this was a Vibe magazine party. And they told
- 40:08Speaker 2: me it was my party. I used to host a
- 40:10Speaker 2: late night talk show. Google me, but there's only like
- 40:13Speaker 2: two pages. I had a late night talk show in 97,
- 40:18Speaker 2: and they said this party was for me, and I
- 40:20Speaker 2: remember earlier that day, I saw Diddy, I saw Biggie,
- 40:24Speaker 2: I saw Lil' C's, they were all standing at the
- 40:26Speaker 2: W Hotel in Westwood. So we were talking, blah, blah, blah.
- 40:29Speaker 2: All right, we'll see y'all later. I said, yeah, I'll
- 40:31Speaker 2: see y'all at my party. And so Peterson Museum happens.
- 40:35Speaker 2: I get to the party and I noticed that there's
- 40:38Speaker 2: pictures of everybody, Faith and maybe Carl Thomas and Foxy
- 40:43Speaker 2: Brown and Lil' Kim.
- 40:44Speaker 1: And I'm like, where my picture at? There's no pictures
- 40:48Speaker 1: of me.
- 40:48Speaker 2: So I'm like, maybe this... Ain't my party, right? So
- 40:51Speaker 2: I was kind of sad that day.
- 40:53Speaker 1: How did you think that was your party?
- 40:54Speaker 2: They said it was the coming out party for Vibe
- 40:56Speaker 2: magazine TV show.
- 40:59Speaker 1: I was the host of Vibe. You don't remember?
- 41:03Speaker 2: You don't remember those 11 weeks I was famous?
- 41:05Speaker 1: Man, that's crazy. You just told me that's your whole party.
- 41:08Speaker 2: It was my party, I thought. And so we left.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I was sad. I was in the parking lot. Two
- 41:13Speaker 2: of my friends. We saw Biggie and them leave. And
- 41:16Speaker 2: then we just heard Melee. Biggie just got shot. Biggie just,
- 41:18Speaker 2: I'm like, what are you talking about?
- 41:19Speaker 1: We just saw him walk.
- 41:20Speaker 2: We just saw him get in the car, whatever, five
- 41:23Speaker 2: minutes ago. Crazy.
- 41:25Speaker 1: That's when he got shot. Right then. Fairfax and Wilshire. Wow.
- 41:29Speaker 2: At the Peterson Museum at my party. What do you
- 41:33Speaker 2: think about Messi retiring?
- 41:37Speaker 1: I mean, I didn't know he was getting ready to retire.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I mean, so as a player that has played a
- 41:42Speaker 1: long time and then you kind of know if you're
- 41:45Speaker 1: pushing the envelope or not trying to play more years
- 41:49Speaker 1: than your body's really ready to. He didn't really seem
- 41:53Speaker 1: like he was slowing down. It's just like Cristiano Ronaldo.
- 41:58Speaker 1: I mean, he was kind of like, and David Beckham,
- 42:01Speaker 1: they were like at the height of their career, messi's
- 42:04Speaker 1: been playing at a high level like right even now
- 42:08Speaker 1: like for him to retire like he was like at
- 42:10Speaker 1: the top like the face of soccer like he was
- 42:13Speaker 1: one at all in fifa right like he was doing
- 42:15Speaker 1: his thing so um what did you know i did
- 42:18Speaker 1: i didn't know because i was still playing at a
- 42:19Speaker 1: high level it was it was things outside of my
- 42:23Speaker 1: my physical abilities that prevented me from playing you know
- 42:26Speaker 1: i mean it was more political stuff because even when
- 42:29Speaker 1: i my last two years they weren't looking for me
- 42:32Speaker 1: to even really contribute. And I outplayed both starting receivers
- 42:36Speaker 1: the last two teams that I played for. Ocho? Ocho
- 42:39Speaker 1: Cinco and Boy Chad in Cincinnati and Lee Evans in Buffalo.
- 42:44Speaker 1: And then management had the nerve to tell me from
- 42:49Speaker 1: the beginning before I even signed him, like, well, we
- 42:50Speaker 1: can't guarantee him a starting spot. Where is this coming from?
- 42:55Speaker 1: I wasn't worried about that. I was always competing and, again...
- 42:59Speaker 1: Earning your spot. Yeah. So, you know what I mean?
- 43:01Speaker 1: But it was more... politics more things political that prevented
- 43:04Speaker 1: me from really going out on my own terms but
- 43:06Speaker 1: I think I applaud you know Messi for being able
- 43:10Speaker 1: to be aware self-aware and like I said he knows
- 43:13Speaker 1: like as an athlete you know your body better than
- 43:15Speaker 1: anybody and obviously I'm pretty sure he did a lot
- 43:18Speaker 1: of recovery even with LeBron he knows his body better
- 43:21Speaker 1: than anybody and I know these last four or five
- 43:23Speaker 1: years with LeBron maybe the last two or three his
- 43:25Speaker 1: body has taken a toll you've seen it he's not
- 43:28Speaker 1: the high-flying guy he still can dunk whatever He can
- 43:31Speaker 1: do all those things. But it's a lot of wear
- 43:34Speaker 1: and tear that goes on when you so many games, traveling,
- 43:38Speaker 1: all those things. But LeBron has been able to do
- 43:41Speaker 1: it at an exceptional level because he's able to really
- 43:44Speaker 1: hone in and know what he needs to take care
- 43:45Speaker 1: of his body to be able to perform at the
- 43:48Speaker 1: level that people want him to. So Messi, I mean,
- 43:51Speaker 1: kudos to him. Hell of a career, obviously. He's one
- 43:56Speaker 1: of the top soccer guys that I know. Obviously, talk
- 43:59Speaker 1: about backing at Pele. Some of those guys like that
- 44:02Speaker 1: and then obviously David Beckham who came over he would
- 44:04Speaker 1: kind of like really kind of introduced the states You
- 44:07Speaker 1: know to to soccer when Beckham came over and played man.
- 44:10Speaker 1: It was it was it was awesome So and then
- 44:12Speaker 1: Cristiano Ronaldo Those guys I mean obviously they took care
- 44:16Speaker 1: of themselves But then at some point like said they
- 44:18Speaker 1: said father time is is gonna come knock at your door.
- 44:22Speaker 2: I know me as a former athlete how I felt
- 44:25Speaker 2: the things I miss as a professional.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Athlete, but I I don't know why you always laugh.
- 44:31Speaker 2: Can you Google my stats, please?
- 44:34Speaker 1: Man, you sound like Skip Bayless. One point something average.
- 44:40Speaker 2: That five minutes of fame was great. What do you
- 44:43Speaker 2: miss most? Is it lining up? Is it putting the
- 44:47Speaker 2: cleats on? Is it camaraderie with the guys?
- 44:50Speaker 1: People ask me all the time. I miss the competition.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I'm a competitor. I'm like I'm like Kobe, MJ in
- 44:59Speaker 1: a sense. That's how my mind was. My teammates, they'll
- 45:03Speaker 1: tell you. Like, man, I was miked up a lot
- 45:06Speaker 1: of games. You know what I mean? I was ready
- 45:08Speaker 1: for the game. Once I realized my skill set and
- 45:12Speaker 1: my talent and I knew what I could do and
- 45:14Speaker 1: I knew that I was unstoppable. You know what I mean?
- 45:17Speaker 1: That's how much I believed in myself. And then, like, yeah,
- 45:20Speaker 1: just to be around the guys. What I wish I
- 45:22Speaker 1: would have done is had more fun with the game.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Because you were too serious.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Yep. I wish I would have like interacted and like
- 45:30Speaker 1: what people see now in the podcast and stuff like that.
- 45:34Speaker 2: He smiles.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Yeah. I've always been that. He's charming. He's funny. I know.
- 45:38Speaker 2: They didn't get to see that side of you.
- 45:40Speaker 1: No, but. Listen, off the field.
- 45:44Speaker 2: When we embark on this boxing career, I need you
- 45:47Speaker 2: to be.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Motherfucking Muhammad Ali. Oh, you got to do a tell
- 45:50Speaker 1: me what the channel.
- 45:51Speaker 2: Was the mic on still?
- 45:53Speaker 1: You got to do a tell me what the channel.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I'm there. But yeah, but that's how it was. I
- 45:56Speaker 1: was like, bro, I just and I didn't I didn't
- 45:59Speaker 1: have a chip on my shoulder because I came from
- 46:01Speaker 1: a small school. I just knew that. my coaches, they
- 46:05Speaker 1: saw something in me that I didn't see in myself.
- 46:07Speaker 1: And then once I tapped into it and I started
- 46:10Speaker 1: to see really the fruits of my labor, like training
- 46:13Speaker 1: in the off season, like seeing what it did to my, my, the,
- 46:18Speaker 1: the preparation. And then I started to see the, the
- 46:21Speaker 1: optimization of my performances. Like I was hooked. It was like,
- 46:25Speaker 1: I was hooked on crack. Once I saw what I
- 46:29Speaker 1: did in off season. And then I saw the benefits
- 46:32Speaker 1: of it. I'm like, yo, I didn't have no time
- 46:35Speaker 1: for no playing no game. I'm like, yo, this is serious.
- 46:37Speaker 1: I saw what Jerry is, who he is, what it
- 46:39Speaker 1: can do, what it can do for you. I'm like,
- 46:42Speaker 1: I want to do that for my family. Did you
- 46:43Speaker 1: have friends in the NFL? Yeah. It's a lot of us.
- 46:47Speaker 1: We talk now. That's good. And that's what people don't
- 46:50Speaker 1: know about me. They don't think that because I was
- 46:52Speaker 1: so serious. And again, I'm still going to be me.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I'm a no-nonsense guy. I'm going to stand on my business.
- 46:57Speaker 1: And I know how the world operates. And I started
- 47:00Speaker 1: to see how people looked at athletes in general. And
- 47:03Speaker 1: then I saw how White America looked at us as
- 47:07Speaker 1: black athletes. And I heard these things growing up with
- 47:09Speaker 1: my grandmama. And I didn't really compartmentalize, I didn't really
- 47:12Speaker 1: think about it as I grew up. But then once
- 47:14Speaker 1: I got into the space, I'm a grown adult, and
- 47:16Speaker 1: I started to see some of these things unfold. I'm like, yo,
- 47:20Speaker 1: this is what she was talking about.
- 47:21Speaker 2: It wasn't happening to you, it was happening to her.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Right. And you were just printed to the stories then. Yeah,
- 47:27Speaker 1: now things are starting to happen to me. maybe something indirectly.
- 47:31Speaker 1: We talk about systemic racism. All those things were starting
- 47:34Speaker 1: to happen to me, how people looked at me, how
- 47:35Speaker 1: they talked about me. I wasn't even really doing anything wrong.
- 47:39Speaker 1: But it was because I was a black man. I
- 47:41Speaker 1: seemed proud, like too confident for a lot of people.
- 47:45Speaker 1: And I wasn't coming, I wasn't consciously thinking that way.
- 47:49Speaker 1: That's just who I was and how I was raised.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Like all of the people, all the highlights and the
- 47:53Speaker 1: clips that people see and people think that I talk trash,
- 47:56Speaker 1: those are just sideline highlights. You never saw me do
- 47:59Speaker 1: any of that during... During the course of the game,
- 48:02Speaker 1: it was always with sound bites when I was on
- 48:05Speaker 1: the sidelines because I knew where the cameras was. I
- 48:07Speaker 1: knew what they were wanting. And then, like I said,
- 48:09Speaker 1: I became an entertainer in a sense.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Speaking of entertainment, I know you watch a lot of TV.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I love movies. My favorite movie, before you even
- 48:19Speaker 1: ask me, my favorite movie for all the ladies.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Thank you very much. But my favorite movie is The Notebook.
- 48:27Speaker 1: It touches on Alzheimer's. My grandmother passed from that, so
- 48:29Speaker 1: that's why I love it. And then obviously there's some
- 48:31Speaker 1: romantic scenes that I love. Great movie. Rachel McAdams, Ryan Gosling,
- 48:36Speaker 1: those two. I love those scenes. James Carter. Let me
- 48:40Speaker 1: ask you a question.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Is that one of those movies, if you're getting ready
- 48:43Speaker 2: to leave the house and it's on, you'll watch it
- 48:45Speaker 2: from anywhere it is?
- 48:47Speaker 1: Bro, let me tell you what I did. I was
- 48:50Speaker 1: in Georgia, watched it at a theater. I went with
- 48:55Speaker 1: somebody and I cried in the movie. My tear duct
- 49:00Speaker 1: on my left side, it's more loose than my right.
- 49:02Speaker 1: So I started crying and tears were going down on
- 49:05Speaker 1: my left side. They didn't see it. But I was
- 49:09Speaker 1: so emotional watching. Why are you laughing at me, bro? Bro,
- 49:15Speaker 1: you're rude. I'm telling you a heartfelt story you laughing
- 49:18Speaker 1: you can't see i'm crying but anyway no i'm gonna
- 49:24Speaker 1: tell a lie i was so moved and like i
- 49:27Speaker 1: said it was it was emotional to me do you
- 49:30Speaker 1: see why i.
- 49:31Speaker 2: Said you could do stand-up this teardrop was Right.
- 49:35Speaker 1: But it was so, so moving to me around that
- 49:38Speaker 1: time because my grandmama had Alzheimer's. Now you just made
- 49:40Speaker 1: me feel like shit. Yeah. But I'm bringing it back.
- 49:44Speaker 1: But yeah, that's why I got so moved and I
- 49:46Speaker 1: was so emotional about it. And then I watched it
- 49:49Speaker 1: in the theater and when it came out, I remember
- 49:51Speaker 1: going to Best Buy. And when it came out on DVD,
- 49:55Speaker 1: I bought damn near every, like the movie meant so
- 49:59Speaker 1: much to me and people that didn't watch it and go,
- 50:01Speaker 1: I was like, have you seen it? They was like, no,
- 50:03Speaker 1: I got it for you. I got more. I got
- 50:05Speaker 1: the DVD for you. Yeah. It was like I was
- 50:08Speaker 1: selling them out. I bought them, but I didn't sell them.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I was giving them away. It was like I was
- 50:13Speaker 1: selling them out of my trunk, but I was giving them.
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, you haven't seen The Notebook yet? Like Ryan,
- 50:18Speaker 1: Rachel McAdams, Ryan Gosling. Yeah. They was like, no. I'm like, bro,
- 50:22Speaker 1: that movie is so good. I'm going to watch it. No,
- 50:24Speaker 1: I got one for you. Dude, I'm telling you. What
- 50:27Speaker 1: about now? What are you watching?
- 50:28Speaker 2: What are you watching on TV now? Like my show
- 50:30Speaker 2: right now is Linus.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Show wise, that's next up because I keep hearing about it.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Oh my God. I love it.
- 50:37Speaker 2: My boy LaMonica's on there.
- 50:38Speaker 1: Nemesis. I'm waiting on the second season of Nemesis to
- 50:40Speaker 1: come out.
- 50:40Speaker 2: I didn't expect that to be good.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Me either. Me either. That shit was so good.
- 50:44Speaker 2: I was like, I gave it a chance because it
- 50:45Speaker 2: was on, it wasn't on Tubi, it was on Netflix.
- 50:48Speaker 1: Right, yeah. And I was like, Holy shit. Yeah, that
- 50:51Speaker 1: shit was good. It was very good.
- 50:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 50:52Speaker 1: But now I watch a lot of shows, like reality shows,
- 50:56Speaker 1: like Love Island, Perfect Match, Married at First Sight. You
- 51:02Speaker 1: like reality TV. Love is Blind. I've been trying to
- 51:05Speaker 1: get Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey because they're the hosts
- 51:08Speaker 1: of some of these shows. I've been trying to get them.
- 51:10Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, I should be on one of these shows.
- 51:12Speaker 1: I need to be on one of these shows. Love
- 51:13Speaker 1: is Blind. I guess they laugh me off because they
- 51:16Speaker 1: live in Hawaii, right? They live in Hawaii now because
- 51:18Speaker 1: they're doing a show over there. But yeah, I'm like,
- 51:20Speaker 1: everybody's like, would you do a reality TV show like that?
- 51:22Speaker 1: I'm like, yeah, I'm single. Why not? If that's the
- 51:24Speaker 1: way I'm going to find love, shit, sign me up.
- 51:27Speaker 2: My wife and daughter, they just finished watching The Reunion,
- 51:31Speaker 2: which came on the other day.
- 51:32Speaker 1: And Kevin Frazier, he does a lot of The Reunion
- 51:34Speaker 1: shows too. Yes.
- 51:35Speaker 2: But what's funny is, and this is how I got
- 51:38Speaker 2: caught up. I'm like, turn this shit.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Wait a second.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Don't turn.
- 51:41Speaker 1: Wait.
- 51:42Speaker 2: Who is that? Why are they doing this? And the
- 51:43Speaker 2: last season of Love Island has become X-rated.
- 51:46Speaker 1: They all have started.
- 51:48Speaker 2: It's a little too much, especially as a dad of
- 51:50Speaker 2: a 21-year-old and a 19-year-old. Like, I don't want to
- 51:53Speaker 2: see all, like, it's too much.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Well, okay, with age of attraction, do you think it's
- 51:57Speaker 1: too much when a 57-year-old is dating a 27-year-old? Depends
- 52:00Speaker 1: how mature you are. the 27-year-old. That's what age of
- 52:07Speaker 1: attraction is. That's a new... Oh, that's the one with the... Yeah,
- 52:10Speaker 1: you don't know how old they are. Right, you talk
- 52:12Speaker 1: about no age. They're like in an area. They just
- 52:16Speaker 1: meet and mingle.
- 52:17Speaker 2: This is going to sound wrong. I get it when
- 52:21Speaker 2: the man is older.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Right? We see that more often. Right, right, right.
- 52:26Speaker 2: But when I see the 57-year-old woman with the little
- 52:28Speaker 2: 28-year-old dude.
- 52:29Speaker 1: 27-year-old, yeah. I was like... Yeah.
- 52:32Speaker 2: Yeah, that's kind of.
- 52:33Speaker 1: But the thing was, I saw that too. The guy
- 52:36Speaker 1: was really mature for his age, the 27-year-old. He was
- 52:38Speaker 1: damn near damn more mature than the 57-year-old, the 54-year-old.
- 52:42Speaker 1: And she was like, she was, I felt bad for
- 52:45Speaker 1: him because if you're 54, you've been married, you got
- 52:49Speaker 1: older kids. She had kids just as old as he was. Yeah,
- 52:52Speaker 1: I saw it. And that's what she was torn about.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Is the fact that her kids were the same age
- 52:58Speaker 1: as he was and she didn't want to go. I'm like,
- 52:59Speaker 1: but you went through so many weeks knowing this. Right.
- 53:03Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden you're going to use
- 53:04Speaker 1: that as an excuse not to move forward.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Like, you just wasted all my time. Well, he has
- 53:10Speaker 2: a lot more time. She's the one that's running out
- 53:12Speaker 2: of time.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Right. But still, just for the sake of the show, like, dude,
- 53:16Speaker 1: if that's not what you want to do. Don't waste
- 53:19Speaker 1: anybody's time. Like, did you just want to get knocked
- 53:21Speaker 1: off by a young cat? That's really what you wanted
- 53:24Speaker 1: to do because that's all that really happened. A lot
- 53:26Speaker 1: of people go on those shows just to get a
- 53:28Speaker 1: little action. Yes.
- 53:30Speaker 2: So I want you to watch Lioness. You're not going
- 53:33Speaker 2: to believe that little Zoe Saldana can be this tough
- 53:38Speaker 2: little motherfucker, but the show is so good.
- 53:40Speaker 1: Nicole Kidman. Zoe, okay, yeah. Remember her from Drumline?
- 53:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I was thinking Zendaya Zendaya people mix them up yeah
- 53:48Speaker 1: when you say that that's why I'm like Zoe I
- 53:50Speaker 1: met her at a theater her and her husband one
- 53:52Speaker 1: time yeah with the long hair and the little porn
- 53:54Speaker 1: mustache yeah I didn't yeah I was like oh I
- 53:57Speaker 1: took a picture I'm like yo I'm like you know
- 53:59Speaker 1: I kind of fanned out for a second right but
- 54:01Speaker 1: I always see people that I watch cause she was
- 54:04Speaker 1: on Avatar and stuff like that and I'm like yo,
- 54:07Speaker 1: this is Zoe. Double take. Cause I'm like, I didn't
- 54:10Speaker 1: expect to see her. Cause she was blue in Avatar. Right.
- 54:13Speaker 1: But then when you think of like AA listers, you
- 54:15Speaker 1: don't think, you know, I don't expect to see them
- 54:18Speaker 1: out like in the places that I'm going. But we
- 54:21Speaker 1: was at the movie theater and they was in line
- 54:23Speaker 1: and I'm looking, I'm like, and I'm like, Zoe? I'm like, yo,
- 54:27Speaker 1: I said, do you mind if I can, can I
- 54:28Speaker 1: get a picture? Did she know who you were? I
- 54:32Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know if she did or not.
- 54:34Speaker 1: This has been great.
- 54:34Speaker 2: It's always cool when we get together and we get
- 54:36Speaker 2: to the point y'all.
