- 2:53The question was what does Volkswagen, the popular German mean in English?
- 3:02The answer people's car. The Volkswagen Beetle was VW's first car, released in
- 3:13nineteen thirty eight. It was designed by Ferdinand Porsche under the direction of Adolf
- 3:20Hitler. The People's Car was not known as the Beetle until nineteen sixty seven.
- 3:30Now you know. Amid life's tempests, wisdom lies in steering focus toward
- 3:44what truly matters. Storms, be they metaphorical or real, may swirl with
- 3:51chaos, but channeling attention to essential anchors offers stability in the face of distractions.
- 4:00Owning a deliberate mindfulness allows individuals to navigate through tumultuous waters with clarity.
- 4:08Prioritizing values, relationships, and personal growth becomes a compass steering away from the
- 4:15storm's turbulence. By concentrating on the meaningful resilience, blossoms and the tumultuous winds
- 4:24of life lose their power. The ability to discern to significance amidst the storm's
- 4:30tumultuous dance is a testament to one's strength and a pathway to a calmer,
- 4:36more purposeful life. In a forest, a pregnant deer is about to give
- 4:48birth. She finds a remote grass field near a strong flowing river. This
- 4:55seems a safe place. Suddenly, labour pains the u At the same moment,
- 5:01the dark clouds gather around above and lightning starts a forest fire. She
- 5:08looks to her left and sees a hunter with his bow extended pointing at her.
- 5:15To her right, she spots a hungry lion approaching her. What can
- 5:20the pregnant deer do she's in labor. What will happen? Will the deer
- 5:26survive? Will she give birth to a fawn? Will the fawn survive or
- 5:32everything be burned by the forest fire. Will she perish to the hunter's arrow?
- 5:40Will she die a horrible death in the hands of a hungry lion approaching
- 5:44her? She is constrained by the fire on one side and the flowing river
- 5:49on the other, boxed in by her natural predators. What does she do?
- 5:57She focuses on giving birth to a new life. The sequence of events
- 6:01that follows are lightning, strikes and blights the hunter. He releases the arrow,
- 6:10which zips past the deer and strikes the hungry lion. It starts to
- 6:15heavy rain, and the forest fire is slowly doused by this reigin. The
- 6:23deer gives birth to a healthy fawn. In our life, there are moments
- 6:29of choice when we are confronted on all sides with negative thoughts and possibilities.
- 6:34Some thoughts are so powerful that they overcome us and overwhelm us. Maybe we
- 6:42can learn from that deer. The priority of the deer in that given moment
- 6:48was simply to give birth to a fawn. The rest was not in her
- 6:55hands, and any action or reaction that changed her focus would have likely resulted
- 7:00in the death or disaster. Ask yourself this where is your focus. Focus
- 7:12should always remain on what is truly important, on faith and on hope.
