- 0:38Dayna Roselli: And we have a follow-up on the Miranda Lambert Backlash.

- 0:45Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: Revealed Episode 179,.
- 0:55Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dayna Roselli, and you know we just hit a big milestone here, Dayna.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: I know, 200 days to the Super Bowl.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Can you believe it?
- 1:04Dayna Roselli: When you're listening to this podcast, it's under 200 days to the Super Bowl.
- 1:07Dayna Roselli: But even I looked at you and went that's it 200 days.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: And I started counting and I was like gosh, I just am blown away that February is in 200 days.
- 1:17Sean McAllister: I know like six months away, just about until you know, the biggest event in sports is going to be held right here Super Bowl 58 in Las Vegas.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: And as we start counting down to the big game, we're getting some very interesting information about what we can expect here in Las Vegas.
- 1:37Dayna Roselli: And you know what's interesting is, it's the first time we're getting the Super Bowl, obviously because our stadium is so new.
- 1:44Dayna Roselli: But boy, we got it pretty quick.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: We did get it pretty quick, I tell you what Las Vegas has been fighting for this, and we fought hard and we won.
- 1:54Sean McAllister: I know.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: And you know, so many people are saying this is the best place to have a Super Bowl because we have so many other things to do.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Right, we're the entertainment capital of the world, so it's going to be spectacular and people that we have talked to have said it will be.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: Believe me, we have things planned and you know, what's interesting is that we have 150,000 hotel rooms in the Las Vegas area.
- 2:16Dayna Roselli: We looked that up and I was like I never actually looked that number up before.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: I thought it was and I actually thought it was a little low.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: It feels like we have more, but 150,000 is a big number and we have learned that all those hotel rooms are going to be taken up, you know, in multiple room nights.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: So I mean we are going to be sold out, occupied.
- 2:34Dayna Roselli: I mean, if you're planning to come in for the Super Bowl, do it now.
- 2:38Sean McAllister: And we're talking about the entire week leading up to Super Bowl as well, because there's going to be tons of activations, concerts, fan events.
- 2:45Sean McAllister: There's going to be a lot of high rollers coming into.
- 2:49Sean McAllister: Already, 200 days out, we're anticipating 1,600 private jets coming to Las Vegas delivering those VIP fans and then the morning after the Super Bowl, that Monday morning, we're anticipating 100,000 flight departures out of Harry Reid International Airport to take all those fans home.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: Oh, my goodness, it is going to be so busy, but it's going to be wonderful.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: We are excited about it.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: We're less than 200 days out and I know, with that Super Bowl experience, like you said, the week that we're going to have before we're just going to have.
- 3:26Dayna Roselli: I think you know we're going to have the stuff that you would expect if you were going to a Super Bowl, but then I think it's going to be like times 10.
- 3:33Sean McAllister: It is, and on top of you know all the fun and excitement, the money part of it.
- 3:39Sean McAllister: This entire Super Bowl week is expected to bring in $600 million for Las Vegas and Revenue and coming up later in the fall.
- 3:51Sean McAllister: In the next two or three months or so, we're planning to find out the locations for a lot of these pre-Super Bowl events.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: So you wanna stay tuned because we're gonna stay on top of it.
- 4:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah Well, speaking of that, we are going to have a new hotel open during the Super Bowl and that's the Fountain Blue.
- 4:08Dayna Roselli: And we just wanna backtrack a little.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: If you saw our social media the Fountain Blue there was a fire there recently, just last week.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: I actually live across the street from it, so I started getting some video.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: I was like fingers crossed.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: This does not get bad, because it looked bad.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: It was at the top, lots of black smoke.
- 4:23Dayna Roselli: But we did get an update from the Fountain Blue and they say you know what, we are on schedule.
- 4:28Dayna Roselli: The fire was contained quickly.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: We are happy to know that elevators were working, safety systems were working.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: The fire department was there.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: They're still investigating the cause.
- 4:38Dayna Roselli: At the time that we're actually recording this podcast, they don't know exactly what happened there.
- 4:43Dayna Roselli: It was a really hot day, but again and I must say when I was watching it I was like oh boy, but it was out quick, and so they feel that you know what?
- 4:51Dayna Roselli: We're still on target and they are hiring right now too.
- 4:54Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for a job in Vegas, whether you live here and you wanna switch jobs or you need a job, maybe you're thinking about moving here.
- 5:01Dayna Roselli: Check out the Fountain Blue online and they will be open December of 2023, just in time for the Super Bowl.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: In other casino news.
- 5:11Sean McAllister: I know this is kind of long-awaited news.
- 5:14Sean McAllister: The Circus Circus is getting some renovations.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: It's actually undergoing renovations right now to the tune of about $25 million.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: I know and I guess I didn't realize that they were currently doing renovations there.
- 5:28Dayna Roselli: I think it was announced maybe during like 2020, 2021 maybe, and I just forgot about it.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: So apparently a lot of the renovations are actually already done, but they were talking about the adventure dome and some new things that are coming.
- 5:41Dayna Roselli: So, if you love rides and you love the adventure dome, here's something, a new surprise that's coming soon and it's the SpongeBob ride, sean.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Okay, it's the only one of its kind on the West Coast.
- 5:57Sean McAllister: So it's a big deal.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: It's set to open in December and, like you said, $25 million have gone into renovations, but they're working on the elevators next and that probably won't be done till 2024, 2025.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: The whole new system there.
- 6:12Dayna Roselli: So that's exciting.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: That comes to safety and they have a lot of different things that they've already implemented, I think, around the pool and they have a new garage arcade area that's been built, some mini golf, bowling, a VR game that allows you to fly, and the midway has a few upgrades as well.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: So, if you love you some circus circus, that's some good news.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: I do love the front of the circus circus, that iconic entrance with all the lights.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 6:40Sean McAllister: I mean, it's iconic.
- 6:41Sean McAllister: It hasn't changed a ton over the years.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: And I mean, whatever your feelings about circus, circus, it is always packed.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: It is always busy and we love the steakhouse there.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: So we've said that before.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Hey, theo Vaughn, we talked about this a few podcasts ago.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: I was telling you.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: I was talking with some folks over at AEG when I was at the Kevin Hart Show and they were like Theo Von just sold out, sold out again over at the Encore Theater, and now guess what?
- 7:06Dayna Roselli: He's come into Resorts World.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: We had a feeling that might happen.
- 7:09Dayna Roselli: He's booked two shows in October.
- 7:11Sean McAllister: Which is a big deal, because coming from the Encore Theater, which is a pretty decent size theater, but then going over to Resorts World, that is a much larger venue, and the fact that they're moving Theo from Encore over to Resorts World tells you something about his ability to sell tickets, and I have a feeling that both of his shows at Resorts World are gonna sell out.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think so.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: It's October 27th and 28th.
- 7:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, good luck to Theo, and I'm glad Resorts World got a hold of him.
- 7:44Dayna Roselli: They noticed.
- 7:45Dayna Roselli: They noticed he's doing well over at Encore.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: Let's bring him over.
- 7:47Dayna Roselli: They did, they know what they're doing.
- 7:49Sean McAllister: Hey, follow up now to that whole Miranda Lambert situation that really, I mean everyone in the entertainment world has been talking about, since it happened a few weeks ago and TikTok all over social media.
- 8:03Sean McAllister: We talked about it last week, where Miranda scolded fans from the stage for taking a selfie during one of her songs, and at a recent show there was another fan that Miranda called out Right, but for a completely different reason.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's because she liked the girl's shirt which said shoot Tequila, not selfies.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: And then she took some Tequila or whatever and shot it on stage and everyone was laughing.
- 8:33Dayna Roselli: So it's kind of like she addressed it.
- 8:34Dayna Roselli: Boy, it's been so like I don't know it's controversial.
- 8:37Dayna Roselli: Everyone has such different thoughts.
- 8:39Dayna Roselli: I've been going back and forth on threads with this woman and she feels, you know, these girls were disrespectful and if they were true Miranda fans they would know that she doesn't like pictures taken and it's like.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: But what I was defending is the opposite kind of devil's advocate.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: But they weren't true, true fans.
- 8:57Dayna Roselli: You don't have to be a true fan to go to a Miranda Lambert show in Vegas.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: So that's the point of Vegas residency shows.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: You say, oh, I hear good things about Miranda Lambert.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, I like that one song she does, let's go see her.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: And then these women they bought great tickets up front and thought let's have a night out, and then they were enjoying themselves and they wanted a picture with Miranda in it.
- 9:16Dayna Roselli: So anyway, I actually met the woman at a self-defense class, the woman who was called out during the show.
- 9:21Dayna Roselli: Right, which is hilarious In Los Angeles, it's so I was like I know that face and so I was chatting with Adela and she said you know, she actually hasn't taken it that hard.
- 9:30Dayna Roselli: You know, she stayed throughout the show.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: She said she is a little bothered that there were like 7,000 people with their phones in the air taking video and pictures and she's the one that got called out.
- 9:40Dayna Roselli: She if that did bother her, but anyway she has rubbed like just blown it off.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: And she said you know, what I'm really excited about is Ricky Pitbull and Enrique coming to Las Vegas.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: I've got my tickets.
- 9:53Dayna Roselli: I am up close.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: My husband said go ahead and get them.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: This is a once in a lifetime experience and she is counting down the days.
- 10:01Sean McAllister: I mean that's going to be fun fireball.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: And you know, if Ricky saw her taking some group pics, he'd get down and shake his bon bon.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: All three of those guys will get right in the video, for sure.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: So that's.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: I actually looked it up because I was like I need to get tickets to that, so I looked it up.
- 10:15Dayna Roselli: It's the day, I think, after Thanksgiving, so it'll be a busy, I think, weekend for tourists that are coming in and taking advantage of their time off, but for locals, a lot of you might be out of town, so, fyi, you might need to stay in or get back in time for Ricky, enrique and Pitbull.
- 10:31Sean McAllister: Well, I've seen Pitbull's residency.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: I saw Ricky Martin's residency.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: I've never seen Enrique, but I know that the two of those guys put on a phenomenal show.
- 10:42Dayna Roselli: I'm sure Enrique does too, because otherwise they wouldn't have them along, right, I know, I think that's a great combo and it's going to be huge.
- 10:50Sean McAllister: It will.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: All right, let's talk about space tourism.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: Everyone.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: We've got an interview here coming up.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: We thought this was really interesting and we think a lot of you will be interested in it too.
- 10:58Sean McAllister: And we've known that Las Vegas has been a tourist destination for years, for decades really, for people who on gaming, entertainment, dining, retail spas.
- 11:09Sean McAllister: But now Las Vegas could be the final stop before the final frontier.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Listen, rob Lauer is a developer who plans to build Spaceport Las Vegas.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: It's going to be a hub for consumer travel.
- 11:23Dayna Roselli: He has ideas and he has plans.
- 11:26Dayna Roselli: So we said we've got to dial up Rob.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: Let's dial up Rob and put him on the line and find out more about this.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: Hey, rob, thanks for joining us.
- 11:35Robert Lauer: Yeah, thanks for having me on.
- 11:36Robert Lauer: I'm really excited.
- 11:37Sean McAllister: So, first of all, I think the first thing that we want to dig into here is why Las Vegas?
- 11:42Sean McAllister: What makes Las Vegas a great spot for a spaceport?
- 11:47Robert Lauer: That's a great question.
- 11:48Robert Lauer: There's 14 spaceports currently licensed in the United States, but the fact is that the majority of them are run by, and all of them right now are run by government, county governments and frankly, I've called all of them just doing my background in research and frankly, they're in Mojave, they're in Georgia and we're focused on two parts of the industry.
- 12:11Robert Lauer: One is, of course, tourism, as a key economic driver for space travel in the future, but also for training and satellite delivery to space, and so all those components make Las Vegas the perfect location in the country, if not the world.
- 12:32Robert Lauer: I mean, we bought 240 acres 15 miles from Las Vegas back in November and that's 15 miles from 39 million tourists, and these folks, as you know, drop millions of dollars, some of them individually drop millions of dollars on the hands of poker and so forth, and so we have an amazing location where we can sell rides to the edge of space in our fighter jets or zero gravity flights in a Gulf Stream or Falcon jet.
- 12:59Robert Lauer: But we can also draw from Nellis Air Force Base, which we have some of the best fighter pilots in the entire world, to provide training for what I believe is the other part of our business model, which is to provide training in human capital.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: Well, let's just talk for all our listeners that are listening to this right now.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: Kind of paint a picture for me of what this is gonna be like.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: You come to Las Vegas and or maybe you're coming here just for that but you come to Las Vegas and you can go up to Spaceport Las Vegas and do what Well, we're not gonna be going on rockets and space planes right away.
- 13:37Robert Lauer: This is a long-term, ten-year plan to build a spaceport and, like I said, the initial plan is gonna be to provide tourists rides on like an L-39 fighter jet.
- 13:46Robert Lauer: If you go to our website, lasvegasportorg, and click on civilian air space training, you can see a video of what we're gonna be offering using an L-39 fighter jet to get the average civilian some civilian space flight acclimation.
- 14:00Robert Lauer: So the long-term plan is, which is gonna take a couple of years we're working through the process with the FAA Department Division of Spaceports to get our license.
- 14:11Sean McAllister: I mean in having a casino out there in conjunction with the spaceport.
- 14:17Sean McAllister: Do you envision having kind of entertainment opportunities for people who aren't able to afford a $30,000 ticket on a space plane?
- 14:28Sean McAllister: Will there be entertainment options that will simulate the experience that they could get if they could afford that flight?
- 14:36Robert Lauer: Well, we're offering for $6,500, starting next year, a ride on a fighter jet to the edge of space.
- 14:42Robert Lauer: So that's a far more affordable cost than $30,000.
- 14:46Robert Lauer: Well, this technology is expensive.
- 14:47Robert Lauer: It's not gonna be something that people can spend a couple of dollars for.
- 14:51Robert Lauer: I could see folks getting on the space plane and going at Mach 5.
- 14:56Robert Lauer: To Dubai in two hours.
- 14:59Robert Lauer: Or people from Dubai come into Vegas and gambling and go into our space fort and gambling here and going back in the same day, right or the next day.
- 15:08Robert Lauer: But it's gonna bring the world closer together.
- 15:11Robert Lauer: For cargo or human transportation, it's gonna have applications here on earth, not just in space.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean and it's interesting even when you say the 6,500, it's like you know, to a lot of women that's like you know, a tummy tuck and a nose job, I mean you just give those up.
- 15:28Robert Lauer: You can go up to the edge of space.
- 15:29Robert Lauer: Right or the price of a nice handbag right, Exactly exactly.
- 15:35Sean McAllister: Well, I think you know it's always exciting to see the evolution of Las Vegas and to see consumer space travel, you know, be part of the vision of what Las Vegas is over the next decade and beyond is also an exciting thing.
- 15:51Sean McAllister: So, rob, we're gonna stay in touch as you have more announcements and more developments along the way.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and we'll put a link to your website in our show notes.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: Everyone I'm sure everyone listening is interested to learn more, and I know you've got a lot of information and content on there.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: Thanks for spending the time with us, Rob.
- 16:08Robert Lauer: Thank you so much, had a great time.
- 16:09Robert Lauer: Thanks for your help.
- 16:11Sean McAllister: Some really interesting information there and if you're listening to the audio podcast, be sure to go to our Vegas Revealed YouTube channel and check out the video podcast, because we have some animations to show you what Spaceport Las Vegas will look like.
- 16:27Sean McAllister: Also some video of going up in one of those jets that Rob was talking about, where you go to the edge of space, and the video really is spectacular.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, All right, let's do some tips now.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: ["street.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: Dance"].
- 16:42Sean McAllister: Dana, my tip is going to start with a gripe, a grievance, and then turn into a tip, all right.
- 16:50Sean McAllister: So, shane, my husband and I, we met some friends to go to a movie downtown in the Fremont Street area.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: We parked, read the parking sign that you have to pay to park along the street until 6 pm, so we went to the little machine paid for parking, went to the movie, all good.
- 17:14Sean McAllister: We came out, decided that we were gonna go grab a bite to eat right around the corner afterwards.
- 17:19Sean McAllister: So there happened to be a parking spot right in front of the restaurant that we were going to.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: So we pulled in.
- 17:25Sean McAllister: I was like, oh this is great, parking paid.
- 17:28Sean McAllister: Parking ended at 6, so we're good to go.
- 17:30Sean McAllister: Well, not the case, because as we were sitting there having dinner, I see a parking attendant through the window putting a ticket on my windshield.
- 17:39Sean McAllister: Oh, no so.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: I was like, what the hell, I would run over there and stop them.
- 17:43Sean McAllister: Oh my God, I was about to, but we had warm food sitting on the table.
- 17:48Sean McAllister: I was like, eh, the food's more important.
- 17:50Sean McAllister: So my tip make sure that you read the parking signs on every street in downtown Las Vegas, because parking policies are different from street to street City of Las Vegas.
- 18:04Sean McAllister: I've got words for you Bup, bup, bup, bup.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: But I'm not gonna say I'm here.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: I think that's dumb, dumb, dumb dumb.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: On top of it, when they give you the envelope to pay your parking ticket, you send your money to Los Angeles.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: No, weird.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: I wonder what the hell is up with that.
- 18:22Dayna Roselli: I can't believe you're gonna pay for that ticket.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: I would've ran right over there and been like I didn't know.
- 18:25Dayna Roselli: The other street said 6 pm.
- 18:27Dayna Roselli: That's unfair.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: It seems like common sense to read the signs, but do it because all the signs are different.
- 18:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that does make it difficult.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: That really does.
- 18:36Dayna Roselli: It's complicated down there.
- 18:38Dayna Roselli: So anyway, that's a good tip Check the signs.
- 18:41Dayna Roselli: You don't wanna get a ticket like Shawn did.
- 18:43Robert Lauer: No you don't.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: Well, let's get into the Christmas cheer then.
- 18:46Sean McAllister: Okay, perfect and make things happier.
- 18:48Dayna Roselli: The Westgate just unveiled this new Christmas suite and, again, if you're watching the video podcast, you're gonna see some pictures and we'll also put them on our social media and some video.
- 18:56Dayna Roselli: This is a new Christmas suite at the Westgate that's going to be available year round, so this is not just a one-time, short-term thing.
- 19:04Dayna Roselli: You can go celebrate Christmas and cozy up at the fireplace with Christmas decor all around you in July, august, september, whenever you wanna go.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: It's available for booking.
- 19:15Dayna Roselli: You do have to call the Westgate.
- 19:16Dayna Roselli: You can't do it right online to book this suite but they just say you know what People love Christmas, they love to celebrate it all year round and it's just been getting so much attention because it's beautiful.
- 19:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, we talked to the Westgate about this whole idea of having themed suites and they said that this Christmas suite is not going to be the only one.
- 19:38Sean McAllister: In the coming months they expect to announce even more themed suites coming on.
- 19:44Sean McAllister: That will be a permanent thing.
- 19:46Sean McAllister: And they actually came up with the themes through like a contest with their employees.
- 19:52Sean McAllister: They said what kind of suites do you think would be great themes?
- 19:56Sean McAllister: And then all the employees voted on it.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: So that's like a cool thing too.
- 20:00Sean McAllister: Good interaction there, really cool.
- 20:02Dayna Roselli: Hey, thanks to all our subscribers.
- 20:04Dayna Roselli: We just appreciate you so much, and we say subscribers Basically we have a group of people that every month they donate to the show and they help us take more time to put things together and has helped us to create the video podcast.
- 20:16Dayna Roselli: We've got also a big new sponsor coming up that we'll announce in our next podcast.
- 20:21Dayna Roselli: That we're excited about.
- 20:23Sean McAllister: And don't forget, we do have an Amazon shop where we've curated a list of goodies, items that are perfect for a trip to Las Vegas.
- 20:33Sean McAllister: Also, dana and I have put together a list of things that we use on a regular basis, that we really love, and we have a list of things for you to check out there to begin your shopping experience.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: So just click on the link down in our show notes.
- 20:48Sean McAllister: We've got good stuff down there.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and the roll up shoes that make it a little bit easier for you to travel.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: Or if you're going somewhere and you're wearing heels, you wanna take the heels off at the end of the night and put on a cute pair of shoes.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: We did get two orders this week, so we're thankful.
