- 0:00Speaker 1: Want more Treehouse, check out our YouTube exclusive shows at
- 0:02Speaker 1: YouTube dot com. Slash at Treehouse on air.
- 0:11Speaker 2: It is time to leave your warriors outside and laugh
- 0:14Speaker 2: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan, O'Malley along with
- 0:17Speaker 2: Trey Trendholm coming up inside the Treehouse today ball kicking
- 0:24Speaker 2: it really hurts. Also, me and Trey's relationship has hit
- 0:29Speaker 2: a new level. Those two things are not related. They're
- 0:33Speaker 2: very much separate, but they are in the same show.
- 0:37Speaker 2: But first today we start with BUCkies. BUCkies is unhinged.
- 0:42Speaker 2: More specifically, the Buckies' legal department is on fire because
- 0:48Speaker 2: Texas based BUCkies is suing yet another company over copyright claims.
- 0:55Speaker 2: BUCkies is suing an Ohio based rival named Mickey's for
- 0:59Speaker 2: an fringing on copyright. It's also a convenience stop that's
- 1:07Speaker 2: a large place, lots of gas pumps, bathrooms, and a
- 1:13Speaker 2: cartoon mascot. But this cartoon mascot is a moose, so
- 1:18Speaker 2: it looks nothing like the BUCkies beaver. But BUCkies is
- 1:23Speaker 2: not messing around. BUCkies filed a lawsuit against Cohle's IP
- 1:29Speaker 2: Holdings LLC, which owns the Ohio convenience store and gas
- 1:32Speaker 2: station chain Mickey mart In the United States Court for
- 1:36Speaker 2: the Northern District of Ohio. Bucky's is suing for trademark
- 1:39Speaker 2: infringement and unfair competition. BUCkies is also trying to cancel
- 1:45Speaker 2: their trademark registrations. The ones who hold the Mickeys deal
- 1:49Speaker 2: are process that began in August twenty twenty five. So basically,
- 1:54Speaker 2: Buckis is suing yet another convenience store, this time in Ohio,
- 1:59Speaker 2: for a cheerful mascot that the travel Stop Giant claims
- 2:04Speaker 2: is too similar to its own, and they're worried about
- 2:06Speaker 2: it confusing customers. Really, really, Bucky said Mickey Martz smiling
- 2:13Speaker 2: Moose molgo smiling moose logo is too similar to its own,
- 2:18Speaker 2: which could confuse consumers. Come on, BUCkies, really you is
- 2:26Speaker 2: there a jury in the on the planet that is
- 2:28Speaker 2: going to think that there's any copyright on this? Like,
- 2:33Speaker 2: is Mickey's copying the model? Yeah? But I don't think
- 2:40Speaker 2: this falls into copyright infringement. They have a cartoon mascot,
- 2:43Speaker 2: that's that's about. It's a cartoon mascot for a a
- 2:48Speaker 2: convenience store with gas pumps. I don't think you can
- 2:52Speaker 2: sue everybody that does that. Although BUCkies may try.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Does any remember that there used to be a chain
- 3:02Speaker 1: of convenience stores in the seventies and eighties called Woodies.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I forgot Woodies. No, I don't remember Woodies.
- 3:10Speaker 1: So and I think they're predominantly in small towns. But
- 3:14Speaker 1: Leonard had one, and it was like a I don't
- 3:18Speaker 1: know if it was a beaver or a squirrel whatever.
- 3:21Speaker 1: But you know, one could argue that BUCkies ripped them off.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Maybe they did, but they just got bigger than everybody
- 3:29Speaker 2: else so fast. And now they've got all this money
- 3:30Speaker 2: to go around suing everyone that comes anywhere near their beaver.
- 3:34Speaker 1: Dam Well, you know, it is crazy that for years,
- 3:40Speaker 1: if not decades, BUCkies was just in I think it's
- 3:44Speaker 1: Centerville outside of Houston, and then and they refused to expand,
- 3:51Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, you know, they are
- 3:53Speaker 1: now everywhere, and they seem to be the Metallica of
- 3:55Speaker 1: convenience stores.
- 3:58Speaker 2: That's not fair to Metallic. Metallica was right back in
- 4:01Speaker 2: the day, even though at the time I had pirated
- 4:04Speaker 2: lots of music on Napster. I actually agreed with Metallica.
- 4:07Speaker 1: No, but Metallica went I remember, you know, there was
- 4:10Speaker 1: a h Lars handled that very poorly. Well there, but
- 4:14Speaker 1: there were all sorts of places. There was a wheel
- 4:17Speaker 1: shop in California that they sued because it was called Metallica,
- 4:22Speaker 1: and and it had been around as long as them,
- 4:26Speaker 1: but they sued, and you know that they were dicky
- 4:29Speaker 1: about about their.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That side of it. I didn't remember the Napster thing.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I always thought, oh, nap Napster's all t thing.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Metallica was actually right on that, even though college
- 4:40Speaker 2: they were not. You don't you don't think Metallica was
- 4:43Speaker 2: right saying Napster shouldn't be giving away all their music
- 4:46Speaker 2: for free.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Let let's know. But but but here's you want to
- 4:50Speaker 1: really think about something free. Yes, but then remember Napster
- 4:55Speaker 1: went to the ninety nine cent model, okay, which they
- 4:59Speaker 1: still objected Metallica. Do you realize how much more money
- 5:05Speaker 1: the music industry would have made in the last twenty
- 5:07Speaker 1: five years had they gone with the ninety nine cent model.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Oh, I have no idea, but probably a lot.
- 5:13Speaker 1: I've had billions.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah. When I say Metallica is right on the Napster front,
- 5:19Speaker 2: what I mean was it Metallica took the hit because
- 5:23Speaker 2: for all the other artists that couldn't afford to take
- 5:26Speaker 2: on Napster for basically stealing their music and them not
- 5:31Speaker 2: getting paid any royalties for it. Like Metallica is the
- 5:34Speaker 2: ones that said, we're gonna take the bullet on this
- 5:37Speaker 2: for all these other artists, all these other bands that
- 5:39Speaker 2: can't afford to Taylor Swift did the same thing with
- 5:43Speaker 2: the streamers and everything, you know, twenty years later, fifteen
- 5:47Speaker 2: twenty years later, and it was at So that's when
- 5:53Speaker 2: I say Metallica was right about the other stuff you
- 5:55Speaker 2: just mentioned. Yeah, no, that's that's dicky. But yeah, in
- 5:59Speaker 2: the content of this story, you got BUCkies going after
- 6:02Speaker 2: yet another gas station for claiming that it's going to
- 6:07Speaker 2: confuse people, as if the general public can't tell the
- 6:10Speaker 2: difference between a toothy beaver and a cartoon moose. If anything,
- 6:17Speaker 2: especially with the moose named Mickey's mart I'm surprised Disney.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I feel like Disney would have more of a standing
- 6:23Speaker 2: to go after these guys than BUCkies would. So now
- 6:27Speaker 2: I'm thinking what should happen is if we want the
- 6:29Speaker 2: ultimate litigious showdown, what we need to do is we
- 6:33Speaker 2: need to give BUCkies its ultimate uh, it's ultimate foe.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And that is Disney needs to get into the gas
- 6:44Speaker 2: station game with Mickey Mouse on their logo and then
- 6:47Speaker 2: let BUCkies come knocking. That's that's two massive empires right there,
- 6:53Speaker 2: going toe to toe as far as like, Okay, let's
- 6:56Speaker 2: see who's got the bigger cartoon, Dick, and.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I'd be willing to bet it's BUCkies because Bucky's got
- 7:03Speaker 1: has cash. Disney does not.
- 7:06Speaker 2: Yeah, Disney's got it, they don't have it. They're not
- 7:08Speaker 2: as liquid.
- 7:09Speaker 1: No, since the pandemic, Disney's had issues. But yeah, no,
- 7:15Speaker 1: it's I mean I said they have become in the
- 7:20Speaker 1: last I don't think they started expanding till about ten
- 7:24Speaker 1: years ago.
- 7:24Speaker 2: I mean, I think what happened was I don't know
- 7:26Speaker 2: if it was private equity that got involved, or if
- 7:29Speaker 2: it's if BUCkies went public in some way somehow Wall
- 7:32Speaker 2: Street or some large entity got involved, because I think
- 7:38Speaker 2: that's what happened was.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Is they're still owned by the same family.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It hasn't changed owners or investors or anything. Because it
- 7:47Speaker 2: just seems crazy to me that all of a sudden
- 7:48Speaker 2: they're expanding like crazy, which, by the way, right after
- 7:51Speaker 2: this story he hit about Bucki's suing Mickey's in Ohio.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Bucky's also announced that they're going to be opening up
- 7:57Speaker 2: stops in Arizona and I think New Mexican. So, I mean,
- 8:01Speaker 2: Bucky's is going to be nationwide and at some point
- 8:04Speaker 2: there's going to be BUCkies in China and stuff.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Well, they you know, at first they started expanding, there
- 8:10Speaker 1: was just going to be Texas, but I think enough
- 8:13Speaker 1: people finally were like, you've got a gold mine here,
- 8:15Speaker 1: and I mean, it's kind of look at AGB the
- 8:19Speaker 1: last ten years. HGB forever would not touch the DFW
- 8:23Speaker 1: Metroplex basically, I mean, the some a few stores on
- 8:26Speaker 1: the outskirts. But and when I was in you know,
- 8:30Speaker 1: in the nineties, AGB was a crappy grocery store in Austin.
- 8:34Speaker 2: I remember first hearing people talk about the greatness of AGB,
- 8:38Speaker 2: and I remember thinking, what hgb's story have you been?
- 8:42Speaker 2: You've got to be confusing it with some other place,
- 8:44Speaker 2: because the HB of my youth was not the place
- 8:47Speaker 2: I wanted to go. I'd rather go to Minyards.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, no, it was. It was awful. But then
- 8:53Speaker 1: you fast forward and I was the same way. And
- 8:55Speaker 1: then I went to Houston to see my mom, you know,
- 8:57Speaker 1: fifteen years ago and they're like, oh, you've got to
- 9:00Speaker 1: go to CHIB and I'm like what And then you win.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I'm like, holy shit, h yeah, a good stat at all.
- 9:08Speaker 1: And now they don't there's no stopping.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Them, no, And AGB is so big and they have
- 9:15Speaker 2: such good stuff. It's like like kind of like Traders Joe's,
- 9:19Speaker 2: like like Trader Joe's. People love Trader Joe's products. People
- 9:21Speaker 2: love AGB products so much so that here on Saint John,
- 9:25Speaker 2: where I am right now, Uh, there's there's a lady
- 9:29Speaker 2: who lives here from Texas, from the Austin area. Her
- 9:32Speaker 2: name's Casey. She's the one that makes the down South
- 9:34Speaker 2: in your Mouth hot sauce, which, by the way, I
- 9:37Speaker 2: think you can find at Chib's stores and has on
- 9:40Speaker 2: the label proudly made in the USBI. Anyway, I bring
- 9:44Speaker 2: this up because she's from Texas. She goes home every year.
- 9:47Speaker 2: She goes to Texas for like a month, and she
- 9:50Speaker 2: brings an extra suitcase that's empty and she fills it
- 9:53Speaker 2: up with CHIB products to bring back to the island
- 9:56Speaker 2: that we can't get here. So when she comes back
- 10:00Speaker 2: from Austin on her annual trip. She's offering us packages
- 10:05Speaker 2: of the butter tortillas and we happily accept where, like, yes,
- 10:09Speaker 2: please the HB butter tortillas. My God, get them in
- 10:13Speaker 2: my mouth. They are so good. But yeah, as a kid,
- 10:17Speaker 2: HB was like the store and that my great grandmother
- 10:20Speaker 2: Glick went to in Pittsburgh, Texas, and I wanted nothing
- 10:24Speaker 2: to do with that place. It was lit. Yeah, but
- 10:26Speaker 2: now it's amazing.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Uh.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Speaking of amazing, there is a headline that I saw
- 10:33Speaker 2: going into last weekend that I was absolutely one hundred
- 10:36Speaker 2: percent not prepared for. And make sure I get this
- 10:42Speaker 2: correct here, because it uh, Like I said, it stood
- 10:45Speaker 2: out and it shocked me to my core. And that
- 10:48Speaker 2: was Amanda siphered where a prosthetic butthole for her new
- 10:54Speaker 2: movie Testament of Anne Lee. I why why do we
- 11:07Speaker 2: need what? Amanda Seyfried had a cool and exciting time
- 11:13Speaker 2: using a prosthetic butthole filming The Testament of Ann Lee
- 11:19Speaker 2: the actress. The actress explained that quote this movie needed
- 11:22Speaker 2: to be graphic. She clarified by saying, you cannot see
- 11:25Speaker 2: my butthole in the scene, but I swear there is
- 11:28Speaker 2: a prosthetic butthole there. This was a part of a
- 11:32Speaker 2: murkin she was wearing for some graphic scene in this movie.
- 11:36Speaker 2: She says, I was pregnant and naked, but I wasn't
- 11:38Speaker 2: naked at all. At the end of the movie, I'm
- 11:40Speaker 2: standing in front of a burning building with just a murkin.
- 11:47Speaker 2: She said she felt so free wearing only an artificial
- 11:51Speaker 2: hair covering in that moment, as she portrayed real life
- 11:54Speaker 2: Shakers founder Ann Lee. She says at the end of
- 11:58Speaker 2: the interview, you can not see my butthole in the scene,
- 12:01Speaker 2: but I swear there's a prosthetic butthole there. The host
- 12:06Speaker 2: of the podcast she was on asked, why did they
- 12:08Speaker 2: have one if we don't see it? Excellent question, Scott.
- 12:13Speaker 2: She said it was a just in case precaution if
- 12:22Speaker 2: the camera operator gets a little too aggressive or on
- 12:25Speaker 2: the push in eh anyway.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So, I mean, is that like, you know, an ask Pasty,
- 12:32Speaker 1: what is it? Yeah?
- 12:36Speaker 2: Kind of it's like, Okay, we're going to We're gonna
- 12:38Speaker 2: make you a prosthetic butthole to go over your buttthole, Like,
- 12:43Speaker 2: what's wrong with her buttthole? I mean, are we really
- 12:45Speaker 2: at the point now where it's like, Okay, we don't
- 12:47Speaker 2: want it to be your butthole because maybe there's something
- 12:50Speaker 2: wrong with it, or we don't want you to feel exposed,
- 12:52Speaker 2: so we're going to put a fake butthole on you.
- 12:54Speaker 2: But again, she's saying in the interview that no one's
- 12:56Speaker 2: supposed to see it, but just in case they catch
- 12:59Speaker 2: a glimpse of it, Like unless you're trying to brown
- 13:03Speaker 2: eye somebody in front of this building in the middle
- 13:06Speaker 2: of a movie, I don't think the chances of anyone
- 13:08Speaker 2: seeing her butthole are high. It's it's prosthetic butthole. That's
- 13:18Speaker 2: what that's that's what makes you speechless.
- 13:22Speaker 1: I I yeah, I I I the how? Why?
- 13:27Speaker 2: Uh?
- 13:27Speaker 1: What again? You know is this part of the murkin
- 13:34Speaker 1: where it really it's just like a a butthole on
- 13:37Speaker 1: some cloth that that covers it up or.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean according to what she was saying, or
- 13:41Speaker 2: she's got American on and then included a prosthetic butthole,
- 13:45Speaker 2: So I think it's all one piece that kind of
- 13:47Speaker 2: wrapped around and goes up to the backside, which means
- 13:51Speaker 2: someone somewhere got paid a lot of money to hand
- 13:56Speaker 2: stitch a prosthetic butthole for Amanda siphered and I'm sure
- 14:02Speaker 2: Jim Henson is so glad he's dead. You're listening to

- 17:02Speaker 2: into that, it's time that Trey and I recognize something. Trey,
- 17:07Speaker 2: our relationship has recently gone to a new level, and
- 17:11Speaker 2: I want you to know that I've recognized it, and
- 17:14Speaker 2: I see it, and I see you, and I appreciate
- 17:18Speaker 2: the recipes that you're now sharing with me. But I
- 17:23Speaker 2: have to be honest with you that twenty plus years ago,
- 17:25Speaker 2: when you and I first met, I don't think anyone
- 17:27Speaker 2: would have believed it. Had had someone said, hey, in
- 17:31Speaker 2: like twenty something years, you guys are going to be
- 17:33Speaker 2: recipe pals, I would have said, get the f out
- 17:35Speaker 2: of here. I don't believe that whatsoever, but.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Here we are.
- 17:41Speaker 2: It's an interesting thing when when two dudes have such
- 17:45Speaker 2: a confident, straight relationship with one another that we can
- 17:53Speaker 2: share recipes, like Trey did to me two nights ago
- 17:56Speaker 2: when he shared what was the little dessert recipe that
- 17:59Speaker 2: you sent? Uh?
- 18:01Speaker 1: They're they're basically a little uh healthy or healthy ish
- 18:06Speaker 1: uh replicas of McDonald's apple pies. Yeah, and well a
- 18:14Speaker 1: I over the last couple of years, I have grown
- 18:19Speaker 1: where I love to cook and I cook often. I
- 18:23Speaker 1: know you are always looking for healthy recipes and healthy
- 18:28Speaker 1: ways to do things. Yeah, my especially my tik talk
- 18:34Speaker 1: f yp is full of recipes and healthy recipes, especially
- 18:39Speaker 1: this one account I follow where they kind of you know,
- 18:43Speaker 1: this guy takes these trending recipes and he ties him out.
- 18:47Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, this suck, these are great. Whatever as
- 18:51Speaker 1: it happened, that apple pie thing was great, he said,
- 18:55Speaker 1: it was great. I tried it.
- 18:56Speaker 2: I was amazed, Like like so many healthy recipes these days,
- 19:02Speaker 2: they end up in an air fryer for the cooking.
- 19:04Speaker 2: So can you refresh me real quick? What all was
- 19:07Speaker 2: in this? Because, like you said, it's supposed to be
- 19:09Speaker 2: a healthy version of the McDonald's apple pie. So did
- 19:15Speaker 2: it have regular apple pie filling in it? Or was
- 19:18Speaker 2: that swapped and homemade for a healthier version and then
- 19:21Speaker 2: it got put inside of like a low carbon tortilla
- 19:24Speaker 2: or something.
- 19:28Speaker 1: It is a no sugar added apple pie filling. Okay,
- 19:33Speaker 1: and you get I'll have to go look. I can't
- 19:38Speaker 1: remember the type of bread. It's a it's something, but
- 19:44Speaker 1: it's almost like a wheat whole grain type.
- 19:50Speaker 2: It's lavash. It looked a little bit like peta. It
- 19:56Speaker 2: is a little bit like peta, which, by the way,
- 20:00Speaker 2: you can get like keto versions of those.
- 20:04Speaker 1: It is the bread Joseph Lavash breads. So there's there's
- 20:11Speaker 1: square things. You cut them up. You had some cinnamon whatever,
- 20:14Speaker 1: and then you you do a little wrap with with
- 20:21Speaker 1: the bread and then air fry am and then spray
- 20:25Speaker 1: them with you know, basically pam or whatever, and then
- 20:28Speaker 1: sprinkle on some cinnamon and nutbeg and then you make
- 20:33Speaker 1: the icing slash dipping sauce with sugar free Vanilla Greek
- 20:39Speaker 1: yogurt and a couple of scoops of Vanilla Way protein
- 20:44Speaker 1: and it comes out you're seeing listen. I I don't
- 20:52Speaker 1: know if I bought the wrong ones in the past, whatever,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but I find I bought the Vanilla Greek yogurt along
- 20:58Speaker 1: with the Vanilla Way protein and I was shocked at
- 21:02Speaker 1: how good that was on its own, especially throw in
- 21:05Speaker 1: some cinnamon in there. But yeah, no, it was fantastic,
- 21:08Speaker 1: and yeah, I think it comes out you do it.
- 21:11Speaker 1: You make about sixteen of these little apple pies and
- 21:14Speaker 1: they're basically fifty calories piece.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Which is a good thing because when I watched that
- 21:18Speaker 2: video that you would send, I'm like, I would eat
- 21:20Speaker 2: all of those in five minutes. That's my problem because
- 21:25Speaker 2: when I was a little kid, I was very sickly
- 21:29Speaker 2: and then had I had really bad allergies and then
- 21:32Speaker 2: got the allergy shots. So the allergies went away, so
- 21:35Speaker 2: I stopped throwing up all the time, but I kept
- 21:37Speaker 2: eating the same amount that I was used to eating,
- 21:40Speaker 2: but I wasn't throwing up anymore, so then I got fat.
- 21:43Speaker 2: So basically from five, six seven years old on for
- 21:48Speaker 2: the rest of my life, it's basically, you know, a
- 21:51Speaker 2: battle between me and myself from trying to inhale anything
- 21:57Speaker 2: in front of me. So like, if it's on the plate,
- 22:00Speaker 2: I will eat it. If it's not on the plate,
- 22:04Speaker 2: I'll just eat it and then be done. So that's
- 22:05Speaker 2: why the portion controlled to me is really important. So
- 22:09Speaker 2: like when I saw like those little little mini apple pies.
- 22:12Speaker 2: I'm like, I bet the idea is that you're only
- 22:14Speaker 2: supposed to eat one or two, but that's not how
- 22:16Speaker 2: this guy operates.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Well, no, honestly, the guy said, you know you can.
- 22:22Speaker 1: You can eat eight of them and you're the same
- 22:26Speaker 1: as a lot of times what would be a granola
- 22:28Speaker 1: bar or whatever else, and it's still it's healthier and
- 22:35Speaker 1: very low sugar fat everything else. The it was I
- 22:41Speaker 1: love to try those recipes out, and I would say
- 22:46Speaker 1: eighty percent of them are crap. Generally people trying to
- 22:50Speaker 1: sell you a pro a protein powder or or something.
- 22:53Speaker 1: But this one, and that's one of the things the
- 22:56Speaker 1: guy he doesn't you know, there's no brands involved except
- 22:59Speaker 1: for the He was like, this is the bread you use.
- 23:02Speaker 1: But yeah, it was, Uh, they were fantastic.
- 23:07Speaker 2: You could probably do the same thing, same recipes, swap
- 23:10Speaker 2: out that bread for the low card tortillas and it
- 23:14Speaker 2: might make it even better. As far as the macros
- 23:17Speaker 2: we're concerned, I don't know. I didn't see what the
- 23:20Speaker 2: like the nutrition and full was on the stuff that
- 23:22Speaker 2: he had in the recipe.
- 23:24Speaker 1: It's hardly any I mean, obviously there's some sugar in
- 23:28Speaker 1: the apple pie. Everything else you're using is sugar free,
- 23:34Speaker 1: very little fat.
- 23:36Speaker 2: It's interesting how as adults we've been real big into
- 23:39Speaker 2: finding something that's amazing, to eat something that is, oh
- 23:42Speaker 2: my god, this is delicious. How can I make a
- 23:45Speaker 2: healthier version of this?
- 23:47Speaker 1: I e.
- 23:48Speaker 2: This is delicious. How can I find a way to
- 23:50Speaker 2: make this less tasty? And then that's actually but it's
- 23:53Speaker 2: a good thing. And then you get used to the
- 23:56Speaker 2: quote like the healthier slash less tasty version of it,
- 23:59Speaker 2: and then your taste kind of get used to that.
- 24:03Speaker 2: And then so then when you have the regular stuff,
- 24:06Speaker 2: it's almost overwhelming with the sugar and the butter and
- 24:09Speaker 2: the damn it, I think I'm just hungry.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Oh, I mean it's uh, you still can't beat the
- 24:19Speaker 1: fully loaded stuff, but if you could, especially ever since
- 24:24Speaker 1: I quit drinking, I develop a developed a sweet tooth.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I never cared about desserts up until the day I
- 24:32Speaker 1: quit drinking.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Literally, that's because to you, the alcohol was the dessert.
- 24:38Speaker 2: I mean that figuratively as a joke, but also biologically.
- 24:42Speaker 2: It's true.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Biologically, yeah, I had all the sugar and then some.
- 24:48Speaker 1: But anytime I can find a way to make something
- 24:53Speaker 1: sweet that isn't going to just completely blow my normal
- 24:58Speaker 1: eating and exercise roots and just satiates that craving just enough.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I'm all for it.
- 25:07Speaker 2: The cottage cheese trend that is still holding pretty strong.
- 25:14Speaker 2: I think it was last year. For like three or
- 25:16Speaker 2: four months, every other video in my feed was some
- 25:19Speaker 2: type of cottage cheese food hack, whether it was turning
- 25:24Speaker 2: the cottage cheese into like a tortilla for a wrap,
- 25:29Speaker 2: or a like a like a crust for pizza that's
- 25:33Speaker 2: going to be protein packed, or the cottage cheese ice cream,
- 25:38Speaker 2: which actually it works. All you have to do with
- 25:41Speaker 2: the cottage cheese is used blend it up so it's smooth,
- 25:43Speaker 2: and then you just add some sweet stuff to it,
- 25:45Speaker 2: like splend the cinnamon nutmegs and pumpkins, spice whatever or
- 25:48Speaker 2: vanilla or some chocolate type stuff with protein powder if
- 25:51Speaker 2: you want, and then you throw it in the freezer
- 25:53Speaker 2: for two three hours and you pull it out, let
- 25:56Speaker 2: it set for like ten minutes, and it eats like
- 25:58Speaker 2: ice cream, but instead of you know, being packed with
- 26:02Speaker 2: calories like Bluebell. You know, it's it's you know, cottage cheese.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I just I do. My other hack is I do
- 26:14Speaker 1: you know, frozen yogurt like you buy it next to
- 26:18Speaker 1: the ice cream at the store, which is generally a
- 26:22Speaker 1: lot less fat in calories than regular ice cream. And yeah,
- 26:27Speaker 1: I've got one of those little bullet blenders, so I'll
- 26:29Speaker 1: do that some melt and then. But you know it also,
- 26:34Speaker 1: I don't know if you ever think about this, and
- 26:38Speaker 1: it's ironic he got fat at the end of his life.
- 26:39Speaker 1: But Russ was a pioneer of this. The guy we
- 26:43Speaker 1: worked for for years in the radio of finding ways
- 26:46Speaker 1: to make stuff lower fat and lower calorie.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if there is a way to make
- 26:52Speaker 2: something go from tasting good to tasting terrible. Us I mean,
- 27:00Speaker 2: I mean his ultimate hack was basically just replace anything
- 27:02Speaker 2: and everything with a Boca burger. You're like, all right,
- 27:06Speaker 2: good job, this tastes terrible. Yeah, but in again, the
- 27:12Speaker 2: tequila will get you.
- 27:15Speaker 1: Yeah. He did have a way of making things miserable.
- 27:23Speaker 2: You should have put that on this headstone. He made
- 27:28Speaker 2: everything worse. You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 28:57Speaker 2: more to come Treehouse review Revenge of the Nerds, So
- 29:01Speaker 2: go check that out today. Ball kicking hurts and now
- 29:06Speaker 2: we have scientific proof of it. Kicking a man's testes
- 29:12Speaker 2: produces nine thousand Dell units of pain, which is equal
- 29:17Speaker 2: to breaking up to thirty two hundred bones and giving
- 29:21Speaker 2: birth to one hundred and sixty children all at once.
- 29:26Speaker 2: This is an outlandish claim, but I want to believe it,
- 29:29Speaker 2: so I'm not fact checking it because I don't think
- 29:35Speaker 2: the math is going to come out equal to everything.
- 29:38Speaker 2: And I'm not even sure what the fidel unit is,
- 29:41Speaker 2: if that's even real. But I do believe that a
- 29:46Speaker 2: man getting kicked in the balls hurts worse than anything.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And I know someone's gonna say, but giving birth.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I am with you that it is an excruciating ordeal,
- 29:58Speaker 1: but I will still always kind of tip my hat
- 30:03Speaker 1: to childbirth. I have to think that is.
- 30:06Speaker 2: We have to. We kind of have to. And I
- 30:09Speaker 2: think that's chivalry of play, because you never hear the
- 30:12Speaker 2: ladies say, you know what, maybe they have a point.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Maybe getting kicked in the balls does hurt worse than childbirth.
- 30:19Speaker 2: It's just it's a shorter amount of time to get
- 30:21Speaker 2: kicked in the balls and recover than childbirth is. Childbirth
- 30:25Speaker 2: is a longer process.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I don't think getting kicked in the clams any you know,
- 30:32Speaker 1: pleasant experience.
- 30:33Speaker 2: I don't think it is, but I'd tell you it'd
- 30:36Speaker 2: be a lot worse if there were two balls hanging
- 30:38Speaker 2: from it.
- 30:39Speaker 5: For many reasons, all.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Right, but just to make sure that I do my
- 30:53Speaker 2: own homework. Here sull unit pain, and you see this
- 31:00Speaker 2: is even real. If this is, I've never heard of it,
- 31:02Speaker 2: so I'm going to check.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Oh.
- 31:07Speaker 2: In the post that I saw, they called it a
- 31:09Speaker 2: Dell unit. According to the AI overview from Google, it's
- 31:14Speaker 2: a doll dol Latin for do lower pain. It's an
- 31:20Speaker 2: obsolete unit of pain intensity, developed in the nineteen forties
- 31:24Speaker 2: to fifties by Cornell researchers to quantify pain, often using
- 31:30Speaker 2: a dollarimeter or a doleometer. It was designed to measure
- 31:36Speaker 2: just noticeable differences in sensation, with a scale typically ranging
- 31:41Speaker 2: from zero to ten point five doles. Well, if that's
- 31:47Speaker 2: the case, then saying that being kicked in the balls
- 31:51Speaker 2: is equal to nine nine thousand doll units of pain,
- 31:55Speaker 2: I think that's a bit of an embellishment on this
- 31:57Speaker 2: post that I saw online. Numbers being made up aside,
- 32:03Speaker 2: I think if there was a way to measure pain
- 32:07Speaker 2: and intensity of pain, I think that getting kicked in
- 32:11Speaker 2: the balls is probably going to measure higher than childbirth.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I partly now that's just a guess. I have no idea.
- 32:24Speaker 2: If someone finds a way to test it, please don't
- 32:26Speaker 2: include me as part of the group that's involved. But
- 32:31Speaker 2: I will say this just from a logical standpoint on
- 32:35Speaker 2: whether or not getting kicked in the balls hurts more
- 32:38Speaker 2: or childbirth hurts more. I don't think you've ever heard
- 32:43Speaker 2: a guy say, after getting kicked in the balls, let's
- 32:47Speaker 2: do that again.
- 32:51Speaker 1: No, not unless they have some very very very weird fetish.
- 32:56Speaker 2: M hmm, and that is an exception.
- 32:58Speaker 1: But Daniel, I think you know, I think we need
- 33:01Speaker 1: to test your theory out. And one of the ways
- 33:04Speaker 1: it can be done, and I think Tara would love this,
- 33:08Speaker 1: is to put a TENS unit on, you know, your stomach,
- 33:11Speaker 1: and then you turn it up and it kind of
- 33:13Speaker 1: simulates childbirth.
- 33:15Speaker 2: M yep.
- 33:17Speaker 1: And I think that would be a great way for
- 33:19Speaker 1: you for you to test this theory out.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Okay, so then I've seen those videos. By the way,
- 33:24Speaker 2: the units exist to replicate on men what it feels
- 33:28Speaker 2: like to give birth. I don't know anyone that's replicated.
- 33:32Speaker 2: I don't know if I don't know if anyone that's
- 33:33Speaker 2: created a device to show women what it's like to
- 33:37Speaker 2: be kicked in the balls, because I don't know if
- 33:40Speaker 2: there's a scientist mad enough to even try it. That's
- 33:44Speaker 2: how bad it hurts.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Like I said, I generally think it getting kicked in
- 33:50Speaker 1: the clam hurts them pretty bad.
- 33:54Speaker 2: I think that's more surprising than painful because you don't
- 34:00Speaker 2: expect it.
- 34:02Speaker 1: But isn't that part of pain in general?
- 34:04Speaker 2: Is the surprise the surprise, sure, sure, but also what's
- 34:07Speaker 2: really horrific about being kicked in the balls is the
- 34:11Speaker 2: harder you get kicked. Sometimes there's a delay in the pain.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Oh So, like if you're in the middle of a fight,
- 34:19Speaker 2: like an honest to god fight, and you get kicked
- 34:22Speaker 2: and the balls hard, or you get hitting the balls
- 34:24Speaker 2: really hard, you know that you've got a handful of
- 34:29Speaker 2: seconds that you have to do damage before you are
- 34:32Speaker 2: physically incapacitated and the pain sets in and you're just
- 34:35Speaker 2: dropped to your face.
- 34:39Speaker 1: That is correct, because it's the light you know, thump, grays,
- 34:45Speaker 1: whatever you want to call it, that instantaneously hurts worse. Yeah,
- 34:51Speaker 1: but yeah, the swift, hard kicking the balls that takes
- 34:56Speaker 1: a little bit to set in, and then yes, it's
- 34:58Speaker 1: quite awful when it does.
- 35:00Speaker 2: And you're not getting up. No maybe ever, No, you'll
- 35:08Speaker 2: want to crawl.
- 35:09Speaker 1: You want to crawl somewhere, have an ice pack, and
- 35:13Speaker 1: just stay in the fetal position.
- 35:15Speaker 2: Yes, which might be another piece of evidence that being
- 35:20Speaker 2: kicked in the balls probably hurts more than childbirth when
- 35:24Speaker 2: you just I'm not talking about the length of time
- 35:26Speaker 2: of pain, just to pain itself in that moment. Right,
- 35:29Speaker 2: if you could take all of the childbirth, let's say,
- 35:31Speaker 2: over like a sixteen hour labor, squeeze it into sixty
- 35:36Speaker 2: seconds of pain the way getting racked hurts, I'd be
- 35:40Speaker 2: curious to see what that result would look like. But
- 35:46Speaker 2: as a guy, you get kicked in the balls hard
- 35:48Speaker 2: enough you want to die, you would welcome the sweet
- 35:52Speaker 2: release of death. When a woman gives birth, it hurts,
- 35:56Speaker 2: but after a little time has passed, eventually a lot
- 36:00Speaker 2: of times they say I'd like another one.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Oh. I think they love that whole thing about creating life.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I don't know that they love actually it ejecting from
- 36:12Speaker 1: their body.
- 36:13Speaker 2: And that's the big difference. I think that's why the
- 36:15Speaker 2: pain is different. When the pain of childbirth hits. It's bad,
- 36:19Speaker 2: but you know you're creating life. You get kicked hard
- 36:21Speaker 2: enough in the balls, you're ending life.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Again. Dan, I think this is a great experiment for
- 36:31Speaker 1: you to do. I think I think you you can.
- 36:37Speaker 1: You can, You'll finally being an authority on this subject
- 36:43Speaker 1: and say, for once and for all, what's what's worse?
- 36:46Speaker 2: No, no, no, I know what you mean. You're you're
- 36:48Speaker 2: but you're dancing around to what you want to say.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Is so that way, from this experiment, I can finally
- 36:53Speaker 2: say what it feels like to feel like a woman.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I feel like giving bird. I mean, I think that's
- 37:01Speaker 1: you know, or even just minstrel cramps. You know, I
- 37:03Speaker 1: know there's sometimes they just do the tens unit on
- 37:06Speaker 1: there to simulate minstrel crams. I listen. I am empathetic
- 37:12Speaker 1: to women. They they go through a lot, and I
- 37:20Speaker 1: will not I will not disparage their their pain.
- 37:24Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's not painful at all. It absolutely
- 37:27Speaker 2: sucks and it's horrible. In fact, getting kicked in the
- 37:30Speaker 2: balls hurts so bad. I hope no woman ever has
- 37:33Speaker 2: to experience it. But if they did, I think they
- 37:36Speaker 2: might say, oh that might hurt a little bit more
- 37:39Speaker 2: than the birth thing.
- 37:42Speaker 1: I don't.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Look you know what I don't.
- 37:46Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 37:47Speaker 2: Maybe what we need to do is the ultimate experiment
- 37:49Speaker 2: would be to get our hands on a few people
- 37:51Speaker 2: who have transitioned completely and see if they can quantify.
- 37:58Speaker 2: But I don't know when you transition in that if
- 38:00Speaker 2: you get you.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Know, you still can't you still can't give birth. I
- 38:05Speaker 1: mean you're talking about just getting kicked in.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, I don't know if they include that in
- 38:13Speaker 2: there it's part of the surgery, or if you could
- 38:16Speaker 2: like line itam it on the menu, you'd be like,
- 38:18Speaker 2: can you leave that part out?
- 38:19Speaker 1: I get you gonna.
- 38:25Speaker 4: I can't wait to see your dms. I think it's
- 38:31Speaker 4: time for me to leave social media now. Actually for
- 38:34Speaker 4: all things Treehouse, go to Treehouse on.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Air, dot com. And we would love to do more Treehouse,
