- 0:38Speaker 1: O Creator, May my family and all my servants and
- 0:41Speaker 1: disciples live in peace. Destroy all mine enemies to day,
- 0:47Speaker 1: and all my hopes shall be fulfilled. May the thirst
- 0:51Speaker 1: for repeating Thy name abide with me. And may I
- 0:55Speaker 1: not forsaking THEE meditate on any one besides. May I
- 1:01Speaker 1: obtain from THEE whatever boon I crave, Save my servants
- 1:06Speaker 1: and my disciples. Single out mine enemies and smite them.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Remove from me the fear of the hour of death.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Be Thou always on my side, O Thou, with the
- 1:16Speaker 1: sword on thy banner, Protect me, preserve me, O Thou, preserver,
- 1:21Speaker 1: beloved Lord, protector of the saints, friend of the poor,
- 1:24Speaker 1: destroyer of tyrants. Thou art Lord of the fourteen worlds.
- 1:29Speaker 1: At the proper time, Brahma obtained a body at the
- 1:33Speaker 1: proper time Shiv became incarnate, at the proper time Vishnu appeared.
- 1:39Speaker 1: That was all the play of God. My obeisance to
- 1:43Speaker 1: that God who made Shiv our Yogi, who made Brahma
- 1:47Speaker 1: the king of the vEDS, and who fashioned all the world.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Know that he is my Guru, who made the whole world,
- 1:56Speaker 1: who created demi, gods, demons, and Yakshah, who is the
- 2:01Speaker 1: only God incarnate from beginning to end. My obeisance to
- 2:06Speaker 1: him alone, who himself adorneth all his subjects, who bestow
- 2:10Speaker 1: with divine attributes and happiness on his servants, who destroyeth
- 2:15Speaker 1: their enemies in a moment, Who knoweth what is within
- 2:18Speaker 1: every heart and the sufferings of the good and bad.
- 2:23Speaker 1: He is pleased as he casteth a look of favor
- 2:27Speaker 1: on all, from the ant to the huge elephant. He
- 2:32Speaker 1: is grieved when his saints are grieved, and happy when
- 2:35Speaker 1: his saints are happy. He knoweth everyone's sufferings and every
- 2:39Speaker 1: secret of man's heart. When the Creator projected himself, his
- 2:44Speaker 1: creatures assumed endless shapes. Whenever thou drawest creation within thyself,
- 2:49Speaker 1: O Lord, all embodied beings are absorbed in thee. All
- 2:53Speaker 1: creatures endowed with speech, speak of THEE according to their understanding.
- 3:00Speaker 1: Apart from everything, the wise and the learned know the
- 3:05Speaker 1: secret of this, Oh formless one. Thou art changeless and independent.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Thou art the primal one, stainless, without beginning self existent.
- 3:15Speaker 1: The fool boasteth that he knoweth the secrets of Him,
- 3:19Speaker 1: whose secrets are not known even to the vEDS. The
- 3:22Speaker 1: great fool suppose if that God is a stone, and
- 3:25Speaker 1: knoweth not the difference between them, He ever calleth the
- 3:29Speaker 1: eternal God sheaves, and knoweth not the secrets of the
- 3:32Speaker 1: formless one. Men, according to their different understandings, give different
- 3:37Speaker 1: descriptions of thee, Oh God. Thine extension cannot be conceived,
- 3:42Speaker 1: nor how thou dist first fashion creation. Thou hast but
- 3:48Speaker 1: one form, and that form is incomparable. Thou art in
- 3:52Speaker 1: different places a poor man, a lord, or a king.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Thou madest life from eggs, wounds and perspiration. And again
- 4:00Speaker 1: thou madest mine of vegetables. Sometimes thou sittest as a
- 4:06Speaker 1: monarch on the lotus flower, sometimes as a sheath. Thou
- 4:09Speaker 1: god therost up creation. Thou didst display the whole creation
- 4:14Speaker 1: as a miracle. Thou art the primal one. From the
- 4:17Speaker 1: beginning of time, thy form was uncreated. Oh God, protect
- 4:23Speaker 1: me now, save those who are my disciples, and destroy
- 4:26Speaker 1: those who are not. The enemies who rise in rebellion,
- 4:30Speaker 1: and all infidels, destroy thou them in the battlefield. The
- 4:35Speaker 1: enemies of those who sought thy protection of God have
- 4:39Speaker 1: died in misery. Thou hast removed all the troubles of
- 4:43Speaker 1: those who fall at thy feet. Death shall never approach
- 4:47Speaker 1: those who even once meditate on the O God. They
- 4:52Speaker 1: shall be protected at all times, and their enemies and
- 4:55Speaker 1: their troubles shall instantly vanish. Thou remove hist in an instant,
- 5:01Speaker 1: the sufferings of those whom Thou beholdest without look of favor.
- 5:05Speaker 1: They possess in their homes all temporal and spiritual blessings,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and no enemies can touch even their shadows. Him who
- 5:14Speaker 1: even once remembereth thee Thou savest from the noos of death.
- 5:20Speaker 1: He who repeateth thy name shall be free from poverty
- 5:24Speaker 1: and the assaults of enemies. O Thou, with the sword
- 5:28Speaker 1: on thy banner, I seek thy protection. Give me thine
- 5:32Speaker 1: own hand and save me. Be thou everywhere my helper,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and save me from the designs of mine enemies. After
- 5:40Speaker 1: the completion of the morning and evening obligatory divine services
- 5:45Speaker 1: and of the uninterrupted reading or chanting of the Grant
