- 0:01Speaker 1: I'll start Toyota Presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Camp say Hester and Hester.
- 0:07Speaker 1: From carrying each other to and Natty to carrying each other.
- 0:12Speaker 2: On the air, there's control.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Live from the Mercedes Benz Baton Rouge studio.
- 0:21Speaker 3: It's off the Bench, all right, Welcome back in our
- 0:32Speaker 3: number three ot B here on this Tuesday morning. We
- 0:36Speaker 3: were at SEC media Days last week and I know
- 0:38Speaker 3: Tata had a chance to catch up with Nick on Friday,
- 0:41Speaker 3: but very excited to get Nick back on because it
- 0:44Speaker 3: is training camp time, and that is Nick Underhill. New
- 0:47Speaker 3: Orleans Dot Football joins us now and Nick. When we
- 0:51Speaker 3: were playing, like we had certain feelings about training camp,
- 0:54Speaker 3: there was some excitement, but there was also some you know,
- 0:56Speaker 3: we got to go stay in a dorm or a
- 0:58Speaker 3: hotel for training camp for month. But for you, somebody
- 1:01Speaker 3: that looks forward to this like all day every day
- 1:05Speaker 3: because now football season is here, is this like basically
- 1:09Speaker 3: Christmas morning for you?
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's definitely the most exciting time of
- 1:14Speaker 2: the year. And I think this one's maybe even a
- 1:15Speaker 2: little more exciting than like has been in previous years
- 1:18Speaker 2: because it's just the weight of you know, the disappointment
- 1:22Speaker 2: with Dannis Allen and Derek Carr and you know, all
- 1:24Speaker 2: this stuff isn't on it right now and nobody hates
- 1:27Speaker 2: anything yet and that'll probably come by like week six.
- 1:31Speaker 2: But I think for like a good you know, six
- 1:33Speaker 2: weeks through training camp, six weeks of the season, people
- 1:36Speaker 2: are gonna be happy and they're gonna be interested, and
- 1:38Speaker 2: it's all gonna be new and unspoiled and non blemished,
- 1:42Speaker 2: and yeah, I mean it just kind of it just
- 1:44Speaker 2: kind of makes it, you know, exciting. Again. Look, we've
- 1:46Speaker 2: been spending six months talking about the theory of this,
- 1:50Speaker 2: the theory of that with Tyler shot Kennels, like if
- 1:52Speaker 2: Trevor Penning playguard or they gonna have a third wide
- 1:55Speaker 2: receivers Brandon Cooks any good And it's like we start
- 1:57Speaker 2: to get those answers and there's like things to talk about.
- 2:01Speaker 2: So it's it's definitely like my favorite day of the
- 2:04Speaker 2: year every year.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Does the Tyler shut guaranteed contract? I might as well
- 2:09Speaker 3: just dive right into it. Does that do anything for
- 2:13Speaker 3: the competition? Because for me, I'm just like for me
- 2:15Speaker 3: on the outside looking at like it doesn't because second
- 2:18Speaker 3: round picks now are getting guaranteed deals. That's just kind
- 2:20Speaker 3: of what it is. And it's only eleven million dollars. Like,
- 2:23Speaker 3: I know, a lot of people like they saw that, like, oh,
- 2:25Speaker 3: Tyle Shuck starting quarterback now, Like that didn't do anything
- 2:28Speaker 3: for me to say he's solidified as a starting quarterback.
- 2:32Speaker 2: No, I mean, I don't think that that changes anything
- 2:34Speaker 2: at all. I mean the way that kind of got
- 2:36Speaker 2: framed by a lot of people was very weird to me.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You know, you're talking the guy in front of him
- 2:42Speaker 2: got a hundred, the guy behind him got ninety five
- 2:44Speaker 2: percent guaranteed. Yeah, so you're talking about like a five
- 2:47Speaker 2: percent difference somewhere in there, and that comes down to
- 2:50Speaker 2: less than a million bucks. So that doesn't change anything.
- 2:54Speaker 2: The thing that I think changed the competition is when
- 2:57Speaker 2: they drafted him with the fortieth pick and they already
- 2:59Speaker 2: had the other guy on the roster. That's what changed
- 3:02Speaker 2: the competition. And you know, I think the thing people
- 3:06Speaker 2: don't realize is is, look, it's very possible that that
- 3:09Speaker 2: Spencer Ratler goes out here and he just looks amazing
- 3:14Speaker 2: and he and he wins the job. But like he's
- 3:16Speaker 2: gonna have to knock him out like he has to
- 3:18Speaker 2: knock out Tyler Shuck. He does not win a decision.
- 3:21Speaker 2: He does not win anything that's close. Like basically the
- 3:25Speaker 2: judges for this fight have been bought off at the
- 3:27Speaker 2: Crooked Fight and you're gonna have to put Tyler Shuck
- 3:29Speaker 2: on the mast and that's the only way Spencer Ratler
- 3:31Speaker 2: wins this. And he might, but I mean, you know,
- 3:33Speaker 2: when you make that investment and the other guy's on
- 3:35Speaker 2: the roster, it's kind of a you know, a very
- 3:38Speaker 2: telling thing about the way they're leading. And they didn't
- 3:42Speaker 2: pick Tyler or they didn't pick Spencer Rallery, they picked
- 3:45Speaker 2: Tyler Shuck, Like that's that's his guy going into this year.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Ratler might win it, but I mean it's gonna have
- 3:50Speaker 2: to be a decisive win. And for him to start
- 3:53Speaker 2: every game this year, I mean, he would have to
- 3:55Speaker 2: be just unbelievable. I think.
- 3:57Speaker 4: So.
- 3:57Speaker 2: I think it's a tough battle for for Ratler Ozer
- 4:00Speaker 2: against him, And you know, I think I think it
- 4:03Speaker 2: was just a draft pick that did it, not the contract.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Oh it's okay, hey, while we're talking about your back,
- 4:13Speaker 3: I cut sorry, I cut his microphone off.
- 4:15Speaker 5: Go ahead, sorry, Yeah, to follow up, on this is
- 4:19Speaker 5: I guess a two part question. How does you say
- 4:21Speaker 5: Spencer Rawler has to knock him out? First part of
- 4:24Speaker 5: the question is how does he knock him out? Is
- 4:26Speaker 5: it games? Is it practices? Is it both? Because I
- 4:29Speaker 5: mean the guy can look great in the game and
- 4:31Speaker 5: mediocre and practice, and fan base is like, oh my god,
- 4:34Speaker 5: look at this guy dominating the third quarter and you know,
- 4:37Speaker 5: game two or three of NFL preseason. So in your opinion, like,
- 4:42Speaker 5: what is that knockout punch that somebody has to deliver?
- 4:47Speaker 2: I mean, if Ratler gets in there, you know, I
- 4:49Speaker 2: think it just has to be whenever he gets his
- 4:51Speaker 2: opportunity to get in the game, and he would have
- 4:53Speaker 2: to look like a top twenty NFL quarterback when he plays.
- 4:57Speaker 2: So if he's starting, you know, week one, it just
- 4:59Speaker 2: has to be so undeniable that when we're coming on here,
- 5:03Speaker 2: you know, Tuesday morning after week one, Week two, week three,
- 5:06Speaker 2: we're all just like, yeah, there's no way you can
- 5:08Speaker 2: take them out right now. And you know, I think
- 5:09Speaker 2: you just have to keep up that momentum throughout the
- 5:12Speaker 2: season whenever he gets that opportunity, because like they want
- 5:16Speaker 2: to go to Tyler shuck, they want to find out
- 5:18Speaker 2: what they got. They want to see this guy that
- 5:20Speaker 2: they looked at, they evaluated, they scouted and thought something,
- 5:24Speaker 2: and like either Rattler has to knock him out or
- 5:27Speaker 2: Shuck has to knock himself out and do something to
- 5:29Speaker 2: spoil the belief that they had in him. But like
- 5:32Speaker 2: their pension is going to be for him to be
- 5:34Speaker 2: the guy that wins this job. And you know, I
- 5:37Speaker 2: think that's that's natural. Like if you go out and
- 5:39Speaker 2: you buy a car and you got one sitting in
- 5:41Speaker 2: your job, when you just happen to not trade it
- 5:43Speaker 2: in the next morning, when you go out and you're
- 5:45Speaker 2: looking at those cars, you're getting in the new one
- 5:47Speaker 2: that's the one you picked. I mean, I think that's
- 5:49Speaker 2: just going to be how they kind of feel forward it.
- 5:50Speaker 2: There's gonna have to be a very compelling reason to
- 5:53Speaker 2: not get into the new car.
- 5:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Do you think Tyler Shuck has to lose it in
- 5:57Speaker 5: order to not be the day one starter?
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah? I mean, I think that's interesting because there's a
- 6:03Speaker 2: lot of things a player, like a lot of situations
- 6:05Speaker 2: you look at it and you say, yeah, like start
- 6:07Speaker 2: Brian Hoyer the first four games, let him go through it,
- 6:09Speaker 2: like Shuck get used to like a pattern of a season.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Let Jacoby Brissette take the hit against Buffalo and then
- 6:15Speaker 2: put in the new guy. But we're talking about a
- 6:17Speaker 2: situation where like they don't have Brian Hoyer, they don't
- 6:20Speaker 2: have right Jacoby Brissette. Like this is two guys that
- 6:23Speaker 2: have never won a game, and like, if Shuck is
- 6:27Speaker 2: obviously better in training camp. I think in a situation
- 6:29Speaker 2: where you have a vet, you can tell it like, hey,
- 6:31Speaker 2: look we're gonna go with this guy, give him some
- 6:33Speaker 2: time to get his feet underneath him. It's two guys
- 6:35Speaker 2: that have never won a game in the NFL, and
- 6:39Speaker 2: if Shuck is obviously the better guy, I don't know
- 6:41Speaker 2: how you go look tire Matthew in the face and
- 6:42Speaker 2: say like we're starting this other guy, and you know you, guys,
- 6:45Speaker 2: guys got to get the ball for him. So I
- 6:48Speaker 2: find it fascinating. But on the flip side of it,
- 6:50Speaker 2: you look at the first four games of the schedule,
- 6:53Speaker 2: then I think there's a compelling case for if Shuck
- 6:56Speaker 2: is your guy, like allowing him to not go through
- 6:59Speaker 2: the hardest part of this guy Joel Well, this team's
- 7:00Speaker 2: kind of figuring out what it is and put him
- 7:03Speaker 2: in there after the Buffalo game, after those licks have
- 7:05Speaker 2: been taken, when the schedule softens up, so that you
- 7:08Speaker 2: know there's a smooth runway you get off, there's not
- 7:11Speaker 2: you know, you know the adversity as much. But he's
- 7:14Speaker 2: also twenty six and he's had a multitude of injuries,
- 7:19Speaker 2: and I'm sure he sat in his dorm room or
- 7:21Speaker 2: apartment or whatever, you know, multiple nights throughout his college
- 7:25Speaker 2: career and like contemplated whether or not he was gonna
- 7:27Speaker 2: get healthy enough to play football again, if he was
- 7:28Speaker 2: ever going to get to the league. And that's a
- 7:31Speaker 2: lot of adversity that he's been through, and it like,
- 7:32Speaker 2: I think he knows how to handle that stuff. So
- 7:35Speaker 2: it's it's a unique situation. But yeah, I mean I
- 7:39Speaker 2: think I think Chuck a has to lose it and
- 7:42Speaker 2: Ratley definitely has to be significantly better because I think
- 7:45Speaker 2: at coin flip, I think, you know, a twenty percent
- 7:48Speaker 2: difference isn't enough. Like, I think he has to be
- 7:50Speaker 2: decisively better than Shuck to get really get it real,
- 7:54Speaker 2: like genuine like you have a chance to be the
- 7:57Speaker 2: guy type of opportunity.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And at what point in training camp do you think
- 8:02Speaker 3: they'll make a decision, Like you know, from what you've heard,
- 8:05Speaker 3: do you think it's like, hey, when it happens, it happens,
- 8:08Speaker 3: or is it like, hey, two weeks, in two and
- 8:10Speaker 3: a half weeks, whatever that timeline might be, this is
- 8:13Speaker 3: when we want to have our guy because like I
- 8:16Speaker 3: can't tell you my experience because I never went through
- 8:18Speaker 3: this in the NFL. Like the teams I played with,
- 8:20Speaker 3: we all knew who the quarterback was in college a
- 8:23Speaker 3: little bit we went through this, but like you want
- 8:25Speaker 3: to know, like you want to know who your guy's
- 8:27Speaker 3: going to be. I feel like heading into the back
- 8:30Speaker 3: end of training camp, no, there's.
- 8:33Speaker 2: A feeling like in that building that it's like Shuck
- 8:36Speaker 2: progresses the way he did throughout the summer that it's
- 8:39Speaker 2: like probably by preseason week one that there might be
- 8:42Speaker 2: some separation there. But again, like these are people that
- 8:45Speaker 2: are planted towards him, and you know, they they want
- 8:49Speaker 2: to see what they want to see and they want
- 8:51Speaker 2: to believe what they want to believe. So I think
- 8:54Speaker 2: they want to call it as quickly as possible. I
- 8:56Speaker 2: think if you're if you're you know, if it's shucked,
- 8:58Speaker 2: like it shucks the guy I think they want to
- 9:00Speaker 2: be able to make a call as soon as possible,
- 9:02Speaker 2: to just kind of build everything around him off. You go,
- 9:05Speaker 2: give him the best opportunity, you know, if it stays
- 9:08Speaker 2: close like obviously, I think it goes all the way through.
- 9:11Speaker 2: But that that's where I like going to my first
- 9:14Speaker 2: point like about it. Like I I think if if
- 9:16Speaker 2: if Rattler has that separation, I think the door's still
- 9:19Speaker 2: open for the other guy. And I think it Shuck
- 9:21Speaker 2: has the separation, the door closes, Like I think those
- 9:23Speaker 2: are the the the you know, the the coin flips
- 9:27Speaker 2: that you lose if if you're the incumbent and you
- 9:29Speaker 2: aren't the handtacked newcomer. So I think that they want
- 9:33Speaker 2: to call it as quick as possible. I think it
- 9:34Speaker 2: probably at least goes through the first preseason game. I
- 9:37Speaker 2: don't know what it has to look like to be
- 9:39Speaker 2: convinced for it, you know, I just don't as I
- 9:44Speaker 2: as I handicap it, I don't know that I can
- 9:46Speaker 2: like envision like a clear winner out of the Like
- 9:49Speaker 2: I thought Rattler looked really good all summer. Honestly, I
- 9:51Speaker 2: think he's a little bit of head going into it.
- 9:54Speaker 2: I don't know what they would have to see that
- 9:56Speaker 2: to call it, but I think they want to call
- 9:58Speaker 2: it as quickly as possible.
- 10:00Speaker 6: The what if game.
- 10:00Speaker 5: And I know you want to probably stop talking quarterbacks,
- 10:02Speaker 5: but we're not gonna let you. So let's play.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Let's for months. I'm ready for that's right.
- 10:10Speaker 5: We're getting you ready, all right, So let's play the
- 10:13Speaker 5: what if? What if both quarterbacks continue to progress, continue
- 10:18Speaker 5: to look good, and they're both having success not only
- 10:21Speaker 5: in practice but in games. So I would assume we
- 10:24Speaker 5: might get in a situation where, hey, you know what,
- 10:26Speaker 5: Spencer you start game one preseason, Chuck you start game two,
- 10:30Speaker 5: preceding the think but they both have equal success in
- 10:34Speaker 5: some crazy far out scenario. Could you ever can you
- 10:39Speaker 5: one hundred percent count out that they would they would
- 10:41Speaker 5: not start a season in a dual quarterback situation.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I think they want to find out what they have.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I mean, so, I mean I can't roll that out
- 10:50Speaker 2: for sure. And look at both these guys are really good,
- 10:54Speaker 2: and they they're both viable NFL starters. There's kind of
- 10:58Speaker 2: a benefit of the showcase from both of them, just
- 11:00Speaker 2: so that you can you could maybe trade one, you know,
- 11:02Speaker 2: when there's an injury before the deadline or something. So
- 11:05Speaker 2: I think I think all that stuff is on the table.
- 11:10Speaker 2: You know, I do think for your own team, if
- 11:12Speaker 2: it is shucked, if it is like if one guy's
- 11:14Speaker 2: convincingly better, I think you got to roll with one
- 11:17Speaker 2: just just for the future of the franchise. But no,
- 11:20Speaker 2: I can't roll that out at all. And I think
- 11:21Speaker 2: there could be some benefits of that for sure. You know,
- 11:24Speaker 2: you got two young guys if they're both not the
- 11:28Speaker 2: worst starter in the league. Like, there is some trade
- 11:30Speaker 2: bags there somewhere.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Let's get away real quick and sorry, Flynn from the
- 11:36Speaker 3: quarterback or position, would you agree that maybe like the
- 11:41Speaker 3: key position battles here in camp are going to be
- 11:44Speaker 3: corner and maybe defensive tackle. Is there somewhere else that
- 11:48Speaker 3: you would go if I gave you an option?
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah, defensive tackle one is is a monster, especially adding
- 11:54Speaker 2: Bothered to that mix. And it's really interesting because like
- 11:57Speaker 2: they went out and they got Burnon Broughton. I don't
- 12:00Speaker 2: think anyone's talking early about Jonah Williams, but he was
- 12:02Speaker 2: getting starter snatched there in mini camp. That's another guy
- 12:06Speaker 2: they brought in. Then they bring in Ballard, Like it
- 12:08Speaker 2: kind of feels like they're remaking that position, and Colin
- 12:12Speaker 2: Saunders and Nathan Shepherd are like significantly unnoticed at least,
- 12:15Speaker 2: you know, from from my point of view, that's how
- 12:17Speaker 2: it looks. We know braz is going to be in
- 12:19Speaker 2: that mix, so they they've brought in three, like one
- 12:23Speaker 2: of those guys I would probably guess like doesn't make
- 12:26Speaker 2: the team. Like, So I think that's that's a really
- 12:28Speaker 2: good battle right there. I think wide receiver, three, four, five,
- 12:31Speaker 2: like those are all all pretty pretty good battles. I
- 12:34Speaker 2: think Cooks probably has three wrapped up. But you know,
- 12:37Speaker 2: Kevin Austin Junior is a guy that I I've like
- 12:39Speaker 2: quite a bit. Mason Tipton always practice as well. Maybe
- 12:42Speaker 2: he puts it together. There's a good battle there running
- 12:45Speaker 2: back to a really good one behind Alvin. I don't
- 12:47Speaker 2: know that we you don't have any idea who that's
- 12:50Speaker 2: gonna be. And I think safety's kind of interesting too.
- 12:54Speaker 2: I've written off shortened Howsen a little bit just based
- 12:56Speaker 2: on the usage last year, and then we go out
- 12:59Speaker 2: to ok his mini camp and he's the starting safety
- 13:03Speaker 2: alongside Justin Reid. So you know that that one's gonna
- 13:06Speaker 2: be really interesting too. But you mentioned corner. I think
- 13:08Speaker 2: Quincy Riley, you know, and I got him is one
- 13:13Speaker 2: of the more interesting things. And I think that carries
- 13:15Speaker 2: long term implications. Do if Quincy Riley's any good Like
- 13:18Speaker 2: maybe you got a starter her there. So yeah, I mean,
- 13:21Speaker 2: I think there's like a lot of a lot of
- 13:24Speaker 2: competitions the punter battles to like that that's way down
- 13:27Speaker 2: the list, but you know, they bring in a burn
- 13:29Speaker 2: up and he was one of the better hunters. And
- 13:33Speaker 2: I think there's one at kicker too, Charlie Smith. That
- 13:35Speaker 2: the guy from Ireland. We've seen him hit like seventy
- 13:39Speaker 2: two yard field goals in practice and you know, kind
- 13:41Speaker 2: of the trajectory. Last year was the first time he
- 13:44Speaker 2: ever played football in his life, and like the ball
- 13:46Speaker 2: would kind of come off funny and like curve. And
- 13:49Speaker 2: we go out there this year and like these things
- 13:51Speaker 2: are straight darts. And they got that Coles kicking camp
- 13:55Speaker 2: going on right now, and there's all these NFL kickers
- 13:57Speaker 2: out there, and I heard like on day one he
- 14:00Speaker 2: won the field goal competition against like legitimate NFL starters.
- 14:03Speaker 2: So I think that's a good battle too.
- 14:06Speaker 5: All right, Nick, we had earlier in the show he
- 14:08Speaker 5: had will clap on uh kind of talking kind of
- 14:10Speaker 5: recapping like his time back in New Orleans and kind
- 14:13Speaker 5: of off season and what they've been doing. And we
- 14:16Speaker 5: were asking like some point of questions about OTAs in
- 14:18Speaker 5: mini camp and he referred to it as golf season. So,
- 14:21Speaker 5: like they said, the guy's playing a lot of golf.
- 14:23Speaker 5: So what's the like, where do they go? What's their
- 14:26Speaker 5: golf courses of choice in the New Orleans area. I'm
- 14:29Speaker 5: sure they got to get there kind of quick and
- 14:30Speaker 5: come back. What are we doing with playing TPC? Where
- 14:33Speaker 5: are they headed?
- 14:35Speaker 2: You?
- 14:35Speaker 4: You were asking absolutely, it's like asking me that question,
- 14:40Speaker 4: But I'm sure they're talking about it like in the
- 14:42Speaker 4: locker room after practices and then meet me, meet me here.
- 14:47Speaker 2: So two things. I've never played golf in my life.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I've never asked a golf question in my life except
- 14:52Speaker 2: to Jake Hayner, who I've been told that he is
- 14:55Speaker 2: a more talented natural golfer than he is anything else
- 14:58Speaker 2: he does in his Some people that have seen him golf,
- 15:02Speaker 2: I swear that he has a legitimate future in the
- 15:05Speaker 2: in the PJ if he ever wants to go that direction.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I talked to him about that like it's like get
- 15:10Speaker 2: way on the road. I think it's something that that
- 15:11Speaker 2: he would actually consider, Like I've seen videos of like
- 15:16Speaker 2: hole and ones that that he's gotten before. Like I
- 15:19Speaker 2: think he's like a legitimate good golfer, but like as
- 15:21Speaker 2: far as you know, golf steps or whatever, like, no,
- 15:24Speaker 2: I have no, I have no idea.
- 15:25Speaker 3: Come on, Nick, thank you?
- 15:27Speaker 6: Nick.
- 15:27Speaker 5: Can you please just ask Jake about it. Maybe he
- 15:29Speaker 5: can come on this show and talk about it.
- 15:31Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know modeling, it might be something
- 15:33Speaker 3: else for Hainter too.
- 15:34Speaker 2: You know, I'm gonna leave out one alone.
- 15:40Speaker 6: Relationship.
- 15:41Speaker 3: I don't know you. Last year you looked like Joey
- 15:43Speaker 3: Lawrence's little photo shoot that he did. Uh, speaking of
- 15:49Speaker 3: like photo shoots and modeling, Alanja sentes this right when
- 15:52Speaker 3: you were coming on. The Saints just released another brand
- 15:57Speaker 3: new uniform. It looks like black helmets the one that
- 15:59Speaker 3: they've worn over the last couple of years, gold jerseys,
- 16:02Speaker 3: and black pants. So the Saints get another uniform.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Combo let me, Uh, I have not seen this, so
- 16:10Speaker 2: I got to see it.
- 16:11Speaker 3: Okay, we knew something about the same that first time
- 16:19Speaker 3: that's ever happened. Well done, done, line.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Golf, golf and fashion man, Like I'm like you guys,
- 16:28Speaker 2: all right, I'm looking at it. I like it. I
- 16:29Speaker 2: like it. I hate that black helmet still, like I
- 16:35Speaker 2: don't like the like the thick, the thick mohawks thing
- 16:39Speaker 2: going down the middle, Like I don't like it. Yea,
- 16:42Speaker 2: the gold don't match. They never do, Like I don't
- 16:46Speaker 2: understand why they can't figure this out, Like this is
- 16:48Speaker 2: uh yeah, it's not bad. I don't love it though.
- 16:50Speaker 3: It's like you go to Low's and you put it
- 16:52Speaker 3: under the little microscope and it like tells you the
- 16:54Speaker 3: color match, and you get the paint from the sample
- 16:57Speaker 3: that you bring in. Just put the gold under the
- 16:58Speaker 3: color match.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's not that hard. Like you only got
- 17:02Speaker 2: to take it like a flight too, Like you get
- 17:06Speaker 2: a little piece they got you.
- 17:08Speaker 5: I do know from my experience with the Raiders and
- 17:11Speaker 5: the State. I do know golds and silver, like anything shiny,
- 17:14Speaker 5: is hard to match from two different materials. Sure, and
- 17:17Speaker 5: you can obviously see this, but like I'm looking at
- 17:19Speaker 5: Brandon Cook's picture there, Davis Well, I know a second ago.
- 17:23Speaker 5: But like the single white skinny wristband is it was
- 17:29Speaker 5: a choice for the modeling picture. That's the first thing
- 17:32Speaker 5: that popped out today is like, I don't know if
- 17:35Speaker 5: that works. Maybe not have the white T shirt underneath either.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it's sure. The sleeves hanging out the jersey.
- 17:40Speaker 6: Yeah that's a nasty look.
- 17:41Speaker 5: Yeah, Okay, I think he's I think he's a little
- 17:43Speaker 5: bit swagger than that too.
- 17:45Speaker 2: It's like Khaki and gold though, like it's not even close,
- 17:48Speaker 2: Like maybe maybe you don't try to get it close
- 17:50Speaker 2: so that it's just clear that you weren't trying to
- 17:52Speaker 2: match it.
- 17:52Speaker 6: I don't know, sure, doers Khaki? All right?
- 17:55Speaker 3: You know, we'll continue to break it down. We broke
- 17:58Speaker 3: news to Nick. That feels like a big win forro

- 19:47Speaker 3: of wrap it up the final thirty minutes because you know,
- 19:49Speaker 3: some people say it's the same thing. I don't really know.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Maybe it is. Maybe it's not the same thing.
- 19:54Speaker 7: This one is OTB mail bag and the other ones.
- 19:57Speaker 3: That's very very true. It's a very differ hashtag. We'll
- 20:01Speaker 3: have all that come in your way when we jump

- 21:31Speaker 1: From the locker room to the airwaves, gets off the
- 21:34Speaker 1: bench with Jacob Hester and Matt Flynn.
- 21:40Speaker 7: No longer.
- 21:45Speaker 6: Side inside back in.
- 21:52Speaker 5: That was a good three interviews in a row, basically, Yeah,
- 21:55Speaker 5: it was. Well, we had that one, We had that
- 21:57Speaker 5: thirty second segment in the dream.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Well again we have Blake. We weren't gonna like go
- 22:02Speaker 3: short with Blake Baker coffee, empty SAT uniforms.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Yeah, it is gross. Those are nasty, like the first one.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Yeah, So they're gonna wear the all white. They're gonna
- 22:17Speaker 3: wear the all white with the uh the color rush.
- 22:22Speaker 3: So I was excited that they changed the helmet like this,
- 22:26Speaker 3: this black helmet. Just what the mohawks, the little mohawks
- 22:31Speaker 3: just too thick.
- 22:33Speaker 8: They first announced like they were coming out with an alternate.
- 22:36Speaker 8: I was thinking, okay, what if they did white helmet,
- 22:39Speaker 8: gold jersey so they didn't have to match because they
- 22:42Speaker 8: never match anyways with like white pants, and like, I
- 22:44Speaker 8: didn't even like that. But I do not like the
- 22:47Speaker 8: golden black at all. I would prefer the golden white.
- 22:49Speaker 5: I like the picture of the Mario better than Brandon Cooks.
- 22:52Speaker 5: I like the like the sleeve actually kind of looks
- 22:54Speaker 5: really good with this uniform that kind of pops a
- 22:57Speaker 5: little bit to me.
- 22:58Speaker 6: I hate the mohawk. What are the pants? You know
- 23:01Speaker 6: they're black? Let me get back to the Brandon Cooks
- 23:04Speaker 6: one yep, okay, okay, all right, we can only see it.
- 23:09Speaker 3: They're just playing.
- 23:10Speaker 6: They're just playing.
- 23:12Speaker 3: Guys wet. It's like, let me put it on this.
- 23:17Speaker 3: I mean that's because these are god yeah, I don't know, man,
- 23:26Speaker 3: I had high host.
- 23:27Speaker 7: You nailed it just about as much as the Saints snail.
- 23:30Speaker 5: Come on, it's way better in the Saint's uniforms.
- 23:35Speaker 3: I just like the the helmet is is horrible.
- 23:38Speaker 8: It's not gold.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Chase, get a bigger helmet too that it's not like
- 23:42Speaker 3: it doesn't fit. That's way too small. Yeah, who fitted
- 23:45Speaker 3: him not.
- 23:46Speaker 5: Streams probably, I don't know, so his grandfather into that one.
- 23:52Speaker 3: The Saints have, in my opinion, some of the best uniforms,
- 23:56Speaker 3: yes in the NFL, like when they don't mess with them, right,
- 24:00Speaker 3: if you wanted to do something different, like I would
- 24:04Speaker 3: have been in favor of like the Cajun cannon era
- 24:07Speaker 3: uniforms where you had the state of Louisiana on the
- 24:10Speaker 3: sleeve and like a bigger Florida leaves like something like
- 24:13Speaker 3: like that, Like you don't have to try to reinvent
- 24:15Speaker 3: the wheel with the same uniform.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I think with the color scheme, anytime you have gold, silvers,
- 24:22Speaker 5: black stuff like that, it's like hard to get it right,
- 24:25Speaker 5: but when you get it right, it's great.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 24:27Speaker 5: So if you're gonna do something different, I agree with you.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Make make it to where people can't complain. Put a
- 24:33Speaker 5: big old Louisiana flag on it or something like a
- 24:37Speaker 5: typical cap to Louisiana, and then nobody can't really complain
- 24:40Speaker 5: about that.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Because like, look at that uniform right there, the CA
- 24:43Speaker 3: cann So. I like the Jersey.
- 24:44Speaker 8: I do not like that Saint Seligo on the south
- 24:46Speaker 8: of the helmet.
- 24:48Speaker 3: Oh no, I love that. I love the big Florida.
- 24:51Speaker 3: It's just like it's Plaine. It's just right to the
- 24:54Speaker 3: think that's my thing. Maybe it's just like a little
- 24:56Speaker 3: antique look to it. That's a much better uniform. I
- 25:01Speaker 3: hate these, You hate those?
- 25:03Speaker 7: No, no, no, I like that.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I hate the alternate.
- 25:05Speaker 7: Uniform yeah, or the color rush like it's just well
- 25:09Speaker 7: And the problem is they've tried this exact thing before
- 25:11Speaker 7: and it didn't work.
- 25:12Speaker 8: Then now they went with their normal gold helmets. But
- 25:15Speaker 8: they've done the gold with the black numbers before and
- 25:17Speaker 8: it didn't work.
- 25:18Speaker 3: It's just like an ugly gold too. It's not it's
- 25:21Speaker 3: not Saint's gold.
- 25:23Speaker 7: And I actually think that it's hard to mess up
- 25:26Speaker 7: a black or a gold uniform, like that's gonna look
- 25:29Speaker 7: sick regardless.
- 25:29Speaker 3: But the Saints, somehow, just like.
- 25:34Speaker 7: The organization right now, find a way to mess it up.
- 25:37Speaker 5: Okay, Can I just side note here, that's the second
- 25:40Speaker 5: time you said organization today.
- 25:43Speaker 3: Wait, how do you say it? Organization?
- 25:45Speaker 6: Organization?
- 25:46Speaker 3: Organization, organization, Yeah, twice today.
- 25:52Speaker 7: I didn't realize that that was.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know.
- 25:56Speaker 6: I was just curious about it.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Organization now, But okay, hold on, you said organization organization,
- 26:04Speaker 7: organization versus organization.
- 26:06Speaker 3: I don't know. No eats me anyway.
- 26:09Speaker 7: I just thought it was English was not my first language.
- 26:12Speaker 3: It's very fair. It wasn't. It's mine And I still
- 26:15Speaker 3: screwed up all the time, and I talked six hours
- 26:17Speaker 3: a day minimum. So who among us?
- 26:22Speaker 5: Among us? But yeah, I mean Saints uniforms. When they
- 26:24Speaker 5: get it right, it's awesome. Yeah, when they get it's
- 26:27Speaker 5: easy to get it wrong though in their defense. But
- 26:29Speaker 5: like to counterpoint you, if the Saints are well wearing it,
- 26:32Speaker 5: then it is Saints gold.
- 26:35Speaker 3: Fair just had the.
- 26:37Speaker 8: Same I guess that was what that was what they
- 26:40Speaker 8: were in Brooks. Like they basically just brought back the
- 26:42Speaker 8: same year.
- 26:43Speaker 6: God, that is awful.
- 26:46Speaker 3: That is too bad. I don't like it.
- 26:50Speaker 5: Is that helmet yellow, that's their normal gold that.
- 26:57Speaker 7: I also hate the current like the helmet that they
- 27:00Speaker 7: you put on that one like, I don't like all
- 27:02Speaker 7: the tiny little Florida levees.
- 27:03Speaker 6: No, Well, that uniform right there, that's as good as
- 27:05Speaker 6: Reebok could do.
- 27:07Speaker 3: Yeah. I hated free little free back gloves, terrible cleats,
- 27:13Speaker 3: terrible everything, terrible workout gear, cloth T shirts because they
- 27:17Speaker 3: didn't have like uh oh, they didn't have like compression. No,
- 27:20Speaker 3: not the time.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Who were we talking to ahead, who were we talking
- 27:25Speaker 5: to it? Sec media day? We were asking about their
- 27:28Speaker 5: uniforms and they were like, yeah, we used to be
- 27:30Speaker 5: Nike and then we were reboting now we're new balanced
- 27:33Speaker 5: or no, now that now we're Russell.
- 27:36Speaker 3: It was we're talking about it doraded like whatever. When
- 27:39Speaker 3: Cole was there, we were talking about like, yeah, that's right,
- 27:42Speaker 3: they went from Nike to like something to Russell. Now
- 27:45Speaker 3: that they're Nike again, now okay, so that they were Russell.
- 27:49Speaker 3: They were Russell when he was there, like Russell athletic.
- 27:53Speaker 3: I bet those were cozy.
- 27:54Speaker 5: Them in the Hubert Husky's and Tyler Texas in nineteen
- 27:58Speaker 5: ninety eight.
- 28:01Speaker 3: Middle school we had I think we had we either
- 28:04Speaker 3: had Russell or Rydale uniforms that evangel it was an R.
- 28:07Speaker 3: I don't remember which R it was though.
- 28:09Speaker 6: I was trying. I think, yeah, did Rydal have helme
- 28:11Speaker 6: they were.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Just helmets, right, I think they had uniforms.
- 28:14Speaker 5: I know they had that nasty red and blue are Russell?
- 28:19Speaker 3: Yeah, the eagle eagle and the logo. We hey, we
- 28:23Speaker 3: were the Eagles. We were red and blue. So Russell
- 28:25Speaker 3: makes more sense. Maybe right down? All right, so we're
- 28:30Speaker 3: out on the same uniform. Thumbs down, everybody thumbs down.
- 28:34Speaker 3: I feel like not great. I feel like Hunt Palmer
- 28:35Speaker 3: right now, but thumbs down, super.
- 28:38Speaker 5: Last one, last one up, the last altar well two
- 28:42Speaker 5: weeks ago. Yeah, yeah, let's put look.
- 28:49Speaker 3: Look, I don't want to be biased. Uh, I love yeah,
- 28:52Speaker 3: I love every one of the Chargers uniforms. I don't
- 28:55Speaker 3: love the all yellow that they're that they introduced this year.
- 28:57Speaker 3: I love the Navy to throw back to the days.
- 29:01Speaker 3: I love those. I don't love the all yellow. No, No,
- 29:05Speaker 3: I like the like the touch of the white yellow white.
- 29:08Speaker 3: They going all yellow. That's too much, so I want
- 29:10Speaker 3: to make sure I get that out there too. The
- 29:12Speaker 3: Chargers have some of the best uniforms in the league,
- 29:15Speaker 3: and they had to miss with the all yellow. So
- 29:16Speaker 3: it happens. The Navy's fire though. I do like the
- 29:20Speaker 3: old Navy that they brought back to make news.
- 29:22Speaker 5: But you got to take your shot. Yeah, you miss
- 29:24Speaker 5: one hundred percent.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Of the they did. Oh it's a lot of yellow.
- 29:28Speaker 3: It is so much yellow, all right? Uh, speaking of chargers,
- 29:31Speaker 3: I do I promise I want to play this video
- 29:33Speaker 3: when we come back. My guy PR seventeen made it official.

- 31:30Speaker 3: the hope to see my gout p R. Seventeen on
- 31:32Speaker 3: a football field again yesterday because like the last two
- 31:36Speaker 3: years since he's been retired, it's been like whatever team
- 31:39Speaker 3: had like a quarterback injury and they were like a
- 31:42Speaker 3: team that maybe could make the postseason, still had some hope,
- 31:44Speaker 3: like his name would come up and he's coaching high
- 31:47Speaker 3: school football and so he was out there working with
- 31:49Speaker 3: his son. Gunner felt like he could come in. Look
- 31:51Speaker 3: at the guy. Never never saw actually warm up anyway,
- 31:54Speaker 3: so you know, maybe he could have come in. He
- 31:56Speaker 3: could have played a couple of weeks and like now
- 31:59Speaker 3: that is over because Philip Rivers officially retired yesterday, So
- 32:03Speaker 3: I did, look, I want to pay respects to my guy.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Uh longest quarterback I ever had in my career. And
- 32:10Speaker 3: just play his h his video and you know, just
- 32:12Speaker 3: a couple of Philip Rivers moments after we play it here,
- 32:16Speaker 3: Rivers gives the sprolls hat that Home Colts playoff game.
- 32:21Speaker 9: We got it out. I left slot thirty ISO walk off.
- 32:24Speaker 3: That moment was dang. I mean, like I can, I.
- 32:27Speaker 9: Can get there and hurry even O six Cincinnati Bengal
- 32:30Speaker 9: come back. Incredible, the Big Women thirteen at Denver. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 9: on a Thursday night twenty eighteen in arrowhead Mike catching
- 32:38Speaker 9: them back to back, you know, touchdown on the back
- 32:40Speaker 9: shoulder and then the two point players they left him
- 32:41Speaker 9: wide open.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Goes fast Rivers. So and that was just a short clip.
- 32:56Speaker 3: They had like a four minute video and I'd encourage
- 32:58Speaker 3: everybody go check it out if you just want to
- 33:00Speaker 3: watch somebody that loved football, like to the whatever, like
- 33:04Speaker 3: the highest degree was. That's a man that I think
- 33:07Speaker 3: would have played for like a base salary of like
- 33:09Speaker 3: what an everyday nine to five is like that man
- 33:12Speaker 3: would have played football. I'll be honest with you. I
- 33:15Speaker 3: liked football. I did not love it like Philip Rivers did.
- 33:17Speaker 3: And so like you saw the emotion there and being
- 33:21Speaker 3: his teammate, that's something that's something you see every single day.
- 33:24Speaker 3: That man loved to just be out there and touching grass.
- 33:28Speaker 3: And now he's a high school football coach. He cuts
- 33:31Speaker 3: his own grass for the high school football team. He
- 33:33Speaker 3: does the laundry for the football team, just like his
- 33:36Speaker 3: dad did. And Alabama growing up, and that man always said,
- 33:39Speaker 3: that's what I want to do. That is like when
- 33:42Speaker 3: I retire, I want to be that guy. That's who
- 33:44Speaker 3: he is now. And he's got a little program in
- 33:47Speaker 3: Fair Hope, Alabama, and they don't have the numbers and
- 33:49Speaker 3: they don't have the Jimmies and Joe's that all those
- 33:52Speaker 3: people in that area, and that area is Spanish Fort
- 33:54Speaker 3: and Daphne and all those mobile Alabama schools. It's a
- 33:58Speaker 3: really tough place to play golf. Who's got like this
- 34:01Speaker 3: brand new school and Orange Beach has a new school.
- 34:04Speaker 3: So that's who they play, and they're very competitive and
- 34:08Speaker 3: you can you can tell with like one conversation with
- 34:11Speaker 3: Philip Rivers like what the game of football means to him.
- 34:14Speaker 3: And so it was fun to kind of he mentioned
- 34:16Speaker 3: the eight walk off. That was the only time in
- 34:19Speaker 3: my football career, Like we had like a true baseball
- 34:22Speaker 3: walk off, like it was in the playoffs. It was overtime,
- 34:26Speaker 3: it was thirty iso Sprosey takes it to the house.
- 34:29Speaker 3: We were eight and eight, they were thirteen and three
- 34:32Speaker 3: or twelve and four, I can't remember. But because we
- 34:34Speaker 3: won the division, they had to come to us in
- 34:37Speaker 3: the playoffs, and so we walked them off And just
- 34:40Speaker 3: one of the many moments we had there in San Diego.
- 34:43Speaker 5: We had a one of our coaches in Green Bay,
- 34:47Speaker 5: an assistant coach. Every week we like have an opportunity
- 34:49Speaker 5: to address the team on Friday or Saturday before the game,
- 34:53Speaker 5: just like you know, Mike McCarthy was big on like
- 34:55Speaker 5: let's let's bring up our coaches. Let's let them get
- 34:57Speaker 5: experience so they can move on in their career. Yeah
- 35:00Speaker 5: to coach one time that stood up there and talked
- 35:01Speaker 5: about yeah, everyone's heard this, and like inspirational speakers. But
- 35:04Speaker 5: like in professional football, so much different. Professional sports is
- 35:08Speaker 5: so much different than anything because like figure out your
- 35:11Speaker 5: your why why do you play, Why do you put
- 35:15Speaker 5: it all out there?
- 35:15Speaker 6: Why do you try? It doesn't matter what it is.
- 35:19Speaker 5: Some people it's family, some people it's because they want
- 35:23Speaker 5: to be superstars. Some people it's because they want to
- 35:27Speaker 5: make money. Some people it's the love of the game.
- 35:30Speaker 5: And it doesn't matter what it is. But whatever it is,
- 35:34Speaker 5: focus on it and do your best to get there.
- 35:37Speaker 5: And it's so in professional football it's crazy because like,
- 35:39Speaker 5: oh my god, like you never say I play for money.
- 35:43Speaker 5: I never play for stardom, but some people do, and
- 35:46Speaker 5: that's okay as long as they play hard, right, But
- 35:49Speaker 5: Philip Rivers is one of these content guys. Like, of
- 35:51Speaker 5: course he made his money and he did all that
- 35:53Speaker 5: from the business side of things that set up his family,
- 35:55Speaker 5: but he truly played for the love of the game.
- 35:58Speaker 5: And as a quarterback I always inspired me. And he's
- 36:01Speaker 5: one of those guys that everyone always looked up to
- 36:03Speaker 5: that played the game the right way, talked trash and
- 36:08Speaker 5: never said a curse word, which is hard.
- 36:12Speaker 6: And probably a lot of people laughed at him, but like,
- 36:14Speaker 6: for the most part, it probably.
- 36:15Speaker 3: Hit Yeah, he cut deep man without saying a curse word,
- 36:18Speaker 3: like that man would cut deep.
- 36:19Speaker 5: I know, it's what's wild, but like and so you know,
- 36:22Speaker 5: hats off to him, a true legend. Be Like he
- 36:24Speaker 5: told me he retired, I was like who's retiring next,
- 36:29Speaker 5: like Joe Montanna or something.
- 36:30Speaker 6: It feels like he's been out.
- 36:31Speaker 3: Of the has been like this will be year number three.
- 36:34Speaker 3: But he was that guy, you know what it is,
- 36:36Speaker 3: Like he'd get calls like, hey, what do you think
- 36:38Speaker 3: about coming here? And he selective and obviously I'm sure
- 36:41Speaker 3: you know, he only got to an AFC championship game,
- 36:43Speaker 3: never got to a Super Bowl, so like that was
- 36:45Speaker 3: a dream and maybe's and even when he went to
- 36:48Speaker 3: Indy that year, like they made the playoffs and they
- 36:50Speaker 3: won a postseason game, or at least I think they
- 36:52Speaker 3: maybe went to Buffalo and gave him hell or something,
- 36:54Speaker 3: did something, and like he was always close but never
- 36:57Speaker 3: got to you know, the mountaintop there, so but truly old.
- 37:01Speaker 3: Like this is somebody that signed multiple one hundred million
- 37:05Speaker 3: dollars contracts, right and he had the same King Ranch
- 37:10Speaker 3: black four truck the entire time I knew him, and
- 37:13Speaker 3: I saw him maybe twenty twenty one, twenty two, We're
- 37:17Speaker 3: down there at the beach and he was driving something else.
- 37:20Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, you finally got rid of the old
- 37:22Speaker 3: f two fifty King Ranch. He goes, noah, bo, that
- 37:25Speaker 3: thing's parked up at the beach house. That's just like
- 37:29Speaker 3: that's just like who He didn't.
- 37:30Speaker 6: Really need that trade in value.
- 37:31Speaker 3: That's true, that's true, But that's just that's kind of
- 37:34Speaker 3: who he was. And like the first thing that he
- 37:36Speaker 3: spent like on his house in Fair Hope, Alabama, had
- 37:39Speaker 3: to tell you like priorities for him. He built a
- 37:42Speaker 3: football field in his backyard. That's what he did, built
- 37:46Speaker 3: a football field for his you know, for the crew.
- 37:48Speaker 6: The second was probably the Japanese toilet.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I'm assuming probably, yes, no doubt about it. He seems
- 37:54Speaker 3: like a big Japanese toilet.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Daniel in the chat said Flynn has cursed more on
- 37:57Speaker 5: this show than Rivers ever did in his career.
- 38:01Speaker 3: That's true, That's very true. Is like I told his
- 38:05Speaker 3: story before, but and this is such bad human being stuff.
- 38:08Speaker 3: But like we raised a lot of money one time,
- 38:11Speaker 3: like thousands of dollars and they're like, hey, Phil, say
- 38:14Speaker 3: a cuss word, say one say one curse word, and no, man,
- 38:18Speaker 3: I ain't gonna do it.
- 38:19Speaker 6: He's a a all right, what crap.
- 38:22Speaker 3: Yeah, he's had a lot of a lot of goll
- 38:24Speaker 3: Lee got Lee was was the go to Golee was
- 38:27Speaker 3: the go to so shout out to p R seventeen.
- 38:31Speaker 3: Shout out to a fantastic career. I think he'll eventually
- 38:34Speaker 3: get into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. But doing
- 38:37Speaker 3: exactly what he wants to do, what he's always wanted
- 38:39Speaker 3: to do when he was done playing, coaching high school
- 38:41Speaker 3: football and doing it from aspect, doing laundry, mowing the grass.
- 38:48Speaker 6: I see it. Maybe you're doing for the cameras every
- 38:51Speaker 6: now and then.
- 38:52Speaker 3: But I'm telling you he this man, no doubt wired differently.
- 38:56Speaker 3: I don't who wants to cut the grass? Well, Taylor,
- 38:59Speaker 3: there's wants to cut the ground. Guys were cutting the
- 39:03Speaker 3: grass today. I was upset we couldn't get it done yesterday.
- 39:06Speaker 6: Today.
- 39:06Speaker 5: It's like movie situation there, like the head coach cutting
- 39:09Speaker 5: the grass.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Yeah you did.
- 39:13Speaker 6: I don't believe it.
- 39:14Speaker 3: All right, we will step away and when we come back,

- 41:31Speaker 3: even more than wonder Wall.
- 41:32Speaker 6: I thought you met like I thought it was track one.
- 41:34Speaker 7: I just wait, like in the order of your favorite Yeah, okay,
- 41:38Speaker 7: I thought you meant like this is actually the last
- 41:41Speaker 7: track on the album.
- 41:44Speaker 3: I thought we meant like favorites.
- 41:47Speaker 7: I think this is my favorite Oasis song. Yes, but
- 41:52Speaker 7: this is the last track of the album.
- 41:55Speaker 6: Anybody want to tour to France update?
- 41:57Speaker 3: Yeah? Sure.
- 42:00Speaker 6: Today a legendary mountain climb mont von.
- 42:05Speaker 3: Two is that like the most.
- 42:07Speaker 5: They do that every year pretty much, and it's like
- 42:09Speaker 5: it's just famous. It's a famous climb, surprice surprise, Todday
- 42:13Speaker 5: versus yonis right now.
- 42:16Speaker 6: I guess today's in front.
- 42:18Speaker 8: Yeah, anyone that knows what today's ass looks like more
- 42:22Speaker 8: than this other guy.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Every don't tell me about him.
- 42:23Speaker 5: He's like everything, all right, So Todday legendary. I mean,
- 42:29Speaker 5: guy's gonna go down as probably the greatest rider of
- 42:31Speaker 5: all time. Who knows he's on the fast track unless
- 42:35Speaker 5: he like crashes in like breaks his collar bone or something,
- 42:38Speaker 5: which could happen pretty likely if they fall off a
- 42:40Speaker 5: six inch board, they'll break their collar bone. But he's
- 42:44Speaker 5: up by over four minutes right now. I think he
- 42:45Speaker 5: increases lead back a couple of seconds. Today only five
- 42:50Speaker 5: five stages left. The guy looks unstoppable. He's on four
- 42:54Speaker 5: stages already this two. Let Todd, they try, and they're trying.
- 43:01Speaker 5: He's just solid. He won the he won the time
- 43:03Speaker 5: trial in the Mountains individual time trial. He's not even
- 43:06Speaker 5: it's not even the time trial special. I mean he
- 43:08Speaker 5: wanted about a lot too. Yeah, Like Jonas is awesome.
- 43:12Speaker 5: Jonas the next best guy.
- 43:15Speaker 6: Oh shoot, I think he's a.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Uh it sounds very I believe.
- 43:19Speaker 5: Okay, what things a slow bo okay like in the
- 43:22Speaker 5: time trial in the mountains goes amazing.
- 43:24Speaker 6: He's one of the two.
- 43:26Speaker 5: He beat the third best guy by like a minute
- 43:28Speaker 5: or forty five second or something better than anybody else
- 43:31Speaker 5: in this time trial. And it's like a ton of writers.
- 43:34Speaker 5: And then to Day beat Jonas by like forty five
- 43:36Speaker 5: more seconds. So he's just that much better than everybody.
- 43:38Speaker 2: He's the goat.
- 43:39Speaker 6: He's the goat.
- 43:40Speaker 7: He might be better than Lance Arms.
- 43:43Speaker 6: Wait, all right, he will be Yeah, he will.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Be asked the benches Flend's music knowledge or T Bob's
- 43:50Speaker 3: geography knowledge?
- 43:52Speaker 6: Actually got pretty good music?
- 43:55Speaker 3: Geography is real bad.
- 43:58Speaker 5: I got my God, must have spent a little more
- 44:00Speaker 5: time on you. I got that one mixed up. That's okay,
- 44:02Speaker 5: tell me that's on me.
- 44:03Speaker 7: I meant.
- 44:05Speaker 5: Was honestly, I was pretty disappointed about it, So respect
- 44:09Speaker 5: to myself. Credit to myself for that one.
- 44:10Speaker 3: Yeah, ask the bench, do you hate it when you
- 44:13Speaker 3: get back from vacation? And someone asked, so, when's the
- 44:16Speaker 3: next vacation? So with that said, when's the next vacation.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I do.
- 44:20Speaker 6: I love it, don't.
- 44:21Speaker 3: I don't know that we I don't know. I know
- 44:23Speaker 3: I don't have I have the days to take. But
- 44:28Speaker 3: when you get back from media days, it's typically like
- 44:30Speaker 3: you can get a day or two like we did,
- 44:32Speaker 3: and then it's like, hey, Bud, you're you're in it,
- 44:34Speaker 3: like a day here or there if you need one,
- 44:36Speaker 3: or if you have something to come up. Family wise,
- 44:38Speaker 3: for sure, school activity, the kids are doing something in school, whatever.
- 44:42Speaker 5: But uh, now we here early in the season. I
- 44:45Speaker 5: do have a potential. We have a Oh god, I
- 44:48Speaker 5: told you this. Our twenty ten Super Bowl team, we
- 44:52Speaker 5: have a reunion game early in the season, and we
- 44:54Speaker 5: didn't get to do it because of that damn COVID. Right,
- 44:57Speaker 5: we didn't get to do it in twenty twenty. Right,
- 44:59Speaker 5: So we're trying to get it together this year, so.
- 45:01Speaker 6: We'll stay tuned for them.
- 45:03Speaker 3: I think I felt like that was pretty excusable, very
- 45:07Speaker 3: very much, so asked the bench. Do you think Blake
- 45:10Speaker 3: Baker will be a major college or pro head coach
- 45:12Speaker 3: one day?
- 45:13Speaker 8: Yes, that Blake Baker is going to stay as fellow
- 45:15Speaker 8: shoes and defensive quarter.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Reasons if he ever if he ever would stay somewhere,
- 45:19Speaker 3: it would be coordinated.
- 45:22Speaker 5: Last last thought of the day for me. Cam Jordan
- 45:26Speaker 5: put out a tweet yesterday that said, chuck me the money.
- 45:31Speaker 5: Do you think he knows it's pronounced shuck because it
- 45:33Speaker 5: looks like show. So does Shuck really have a good
- 45:38Speaker 5: relationship with his teammates?
- 45:40Speaker 3: Sounds like people are asking.
- 45:41Speaker 5: People are asking because if you don't know how shucked
- 45:44Speaker 5: me the money, it doesn't make sense.
- 45:45Speaker 6: Cam, you must not know him.
- 45:47Speaker 3: R Well, if you don't give a name, we don't give.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Off the bench.
- 45:54Speaker 3: One of the questions was, we'll to we ever have
- 45:56Speaker 3: a tailgate before a game, yet we're trying to play
- 45:58Speaker 3: one for the Louisiana Tech Game. We can do it
- 46:00Speaker 3: at Elite training. Yes we are, You'll be there, We'll
- 46:03Speaker 3: all be there.
- 46:03Speaker 6: Wait, we're gonna tailgate at elite.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Russellpools dot com is the website Russell Pool Company.
- 46:09Speaker 6: If that makes sense?
- 46:10Speaker 3: What do you mean? Yes, we're gonna have a toilgate
- 46:13Speaker 3: and then we're gonna hang out. Then we're gonna go
- 46:15Speaker 3: to the Louisian Tech Game. Doesn't matter. Look, you should
- 46:18Speaker 3: trust Jesus. Russell Pool Company two two five nine two four,
- 46:23Speaker 3: two five, two seven. We trust them. You should trust them.
- 46:26Speaker 3: The Tigers trust them when they're trying to get back
- 46:28Speaker 3: onto the field, when they're trying to hot and cold tebbit.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Who takes care of those pools? The one stop shop
- 46:33Speaker 3: in Russell Pools.
