Latest / The Slippery Slope / Deception Everywhere: Part Two — The Narrative Is Breaking Down
Transcript
- 0:00Welcome back to the Slippy Slope podcast.
- 0:03So in a previous episode, I talked about the growing sense
- 0:06that we're being deceived on almost every front, from the Ben
- 0:10Roberts Smith case to global conflicts, energy issues, and
- 0:15the constant fog pumped out by governments and media.
- 0:21And since releasing that episode, I've had even more time
- 0:24to reflect, read and watch how these stories are unfolding.
- 0:30And honestly, the pattern is, to me, becoming clearer, not less.
- 0:36So today I want to go a little deeper, not just into the events
- 0:39themselves, but into the spiritual reality behind this
- 0:44age of deception. Because if you think this is
- 0:47just politics or just media bias or just incompetence, you're
- 0:53missing the bigger picture. So I think the pattern of
- 0:57deception is becoming systemic. Let's start with the obvious.
- 1:02The stories we're being fed are no longer simply incomplete.
- 1:06They're engineered. Take the Ben Robert Smith
- 1:09situation. New leaks, new angles, new
- 1:13exclusive revelations keep appearing.
- 1:16All conveniently timed, all conveniently framed.
- 1:21And yet the same questions remain unanswered.
- 1:24Why is one man carrying the entire weight of a war?
- 1:28Why is the media acting as judge and jury?
- 1:32Why are the political and strategic decision makers
- 1:36untouched? Because the goal isn't justice,
- 1:40it's narrative control. If he's innocent, he's never
- 1:46going to receive justice. If he's guilty the the families
- 1:49of the victims, then they're going to receive justice because
- 1:52of the way the narrative has been controlled.
- 1:55And that same pattern shows up everywhere.
- 1:58Oil shortages that appear and disappear depending on the
- 2:01political re need conflict overseas we're we're we're told
- 2:07only the parts that suit the agenda.
- 2:11Economic crisis that magically align with policy pushes social
- 2:17issues that explode on queue then vanish when no longer
- 2:21useful. This isn't random, this is
- 2:24coordinated messaging. So scripture warned us about
- 2:39this exact environment. In the previous episode I quoted
- 2:43Jesus words in Matthew 24. Take heed that no one deceives
- 2:48you. But I want to expand on that
- 2:50today because Scripture doesn't just warn about deception, it
- 2:55describes the mechanics of it. 2nd Thessalonians 210 to 11.
- 3:02Paul writes about a time when people will be swept away by all
- 3:06powers, signs, and lying wonders because they did not receive the
- 3:10love of the truth. And then he says something
- 3:13chilling. For this reason, God will send
- 3:16them strong delusion that they should believe the lie.
- 3:21Not a lie, the lie, a singular, unifying deception, a worldview,
- 3:28A narrative, a system of thought.
- 3:31We're watching the groundwork for that being laid right now,
- 3:36not because the final deception is here, but because the world
- 3:40is being trained to accept whatever it's told without
- 3:46question, without discernment, without truth.
- 3:52The modern world is designed to overwhelm discernment.
- 3:57Think about how information works today.
- 4:00News breaks instantly. Stories change hourly.
- 4:04Narratives shift mid sentence. Social media amplifies emotion,
- 4:11not truth. Governments hide behind
- 4:14classified and national security.
- 4:18Corporations shape public opinion through algorithms.
- 4:23It's not just that we're being deceived, it's that we're being
- 4:27conditioned to stop looking for truth altogether.
- 4:31And that's exactly what deception requires.
- 4:35Because deception doesn't need to convince you of a lie, it
- 4:40just needs to exhaust you until you stop caring.
- 4:44The real battle here is for your perception.
- 4:49This is why Jesus warning matters so much.
- 4:53He didn't say make sure you're not lied to, He's saying make
- 4:57sure you're not deceived. Lies are external, deception is
- 5:03internal. A lie is something you hear, and
- 5:06deception is something that you accept.
- 5:10And the moment you stop questioning, you stop testing,
- 5:14you stop examining motives, you stop seeking truth, you become
- 5:20vulnerable. That's why the Bible constantly
- 5:24tells us to test all things first Thessalonians 521 Be sober
- 5:31and vigilant. That's in one Peter 5/8 And do
- 5:36not believe every spirit but test the spirits.
- 5:39That's in one John 4 verse one. Discernment isn't optional, it's
- 5:46a survival skill. So what do we do?
- 5:50We don't retreat, we don't hide. And for goodness sakes, we don't
- 5:58bury our head in the sand, which unfortunately I believe a lot of
- 6:02Australians, that's what we do. We bury our head in the sands.
- 6:05We don't want to. We don't want to see the tidal
- 6:08wave coming towards us of the tidal wave of destruction.
- 6:12We must pay attention. We need to question everything.
- 6:16We look for the motives behind the message.
- 6:20We anchor ourselves in Scripture because it's the only truth that
- 6:26isn't shifting, manipulated, or politically convenient.
- 6:31And we refuse to let the world think for us because the moment
- 6:36you outsource your discernment, you've already lost it.
- 6:41So, so this is Part 2 for, you know, I'm looking at taking a
- 6:49deeper look at the same pattern, a pattern that becomes harder to
- 6:54ignore. Deception isn't coming.
- 6:57It's here, it's active, it's everywhere.
- 7:00But Jesus didn't warn us so that we would panic.
- 7:05He warned us so we would be prepared.
- 7:08Take heed that no one deceives you.
- 7:13I'm Jay Fallon, this is my opinion.
- 7:19And as always, thanks for listening to the Slippery Slope
- 7:21podcast. They.
