- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in
- 0:06Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Hey everybody Well on the Game Debut Present about Mercedes Benz,
- 0:17Speaker 2: Patrick Claibon Here with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia Freeland. As
- 0:20Speaker 2: we have made it to week sixteen, the playoff pushes on.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Everybody's doing the math, and the math is becoming more
- 0:25Speaker 2: and more simple every week.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Right it is, and the math is telling me that
- 0:29Speaker 3: Cynthia as usual is playing well down the stretch.
- 0:33Speaker 4: The picks are hot. It got us. Cynthia Freeland didn't
- 0:36Speaker 4: know where he was going with that.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Well, this is where it's going. Greg Rosenthal, still wearing
- 0:41Speaker 2: the crown, but right there, one game behind it. Perhaps
- 0:45Speaker 2: a cowardly change of a pick a few weeks ago
- 0:49Speaker 2: away from being tied at the top.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Where what do you think?
- 0:53Speaker 2: I didn't want to be all aboard the bears in
- 0:56Speaker 2: Santa Clara.
- 0:57Speaker 5: Nobody remember, pretty happy with us for all being over.
- 1:00Speaker 6: It's like, if you think about ten wins for a week,
- 1:02Speaker 6: we're all over that, we're doing it.
- 1:04Speaker 4: You're doing great.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm not at all right behind. Kansas City has themselves
- 1:08Speaker 2: a huge scare last week. Patrick Mahomes limping off the field,
- 1:11Speaker 2: Carson Wentz had to come in. He's dealing with the
- 1:13Speaker 2: high ankle sprain as Mahomes, but he's been practicing all week. Thursday,
- 1:16Speaker 2: Andy Reid said his star quarterback will most likely end
- 1:20Speaker 2: up playing this week against the Texans. So let's discuss
- 1:23Speaker 2: that game. The Chiefs playing host to Houston on Saturday,
- 1:26Speaker 2: and what could be a potential playoff preview Hollywood Brown
- 1:29Speaker 2: might be bad for case. What do you see happening here, Greg,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I see.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Defenses dominating on both sides of the ball and the
- 1:35Speaker 3: Chiefs winning an ugly game, because that's what the Chiefs do,
- 1:38Speaker 3: especially when Patrick Mahomes is coming off an injury.
- 1:41Speaker 4: That's right. I can just think about two years ago.
- 1:43Speaker 3: When he had that high ankle sprain and you thought
- 1:45Speaker 3: it was going to ruin their entire playoff run. And
- 1:48Speaker 3: you know what he did against the Jaguars. He cooked
- 1:51Speaker 3: him in the end. I mean it was slow and
- 1:54Speaker 3: then it was fast, and that's how the Chiefs beat you.
- 1:57Speaker 3: And this guy, injuries just don't seem to matter. And
- 2:00Speaker 3: I know he's not playing very well and he's going
- 2:02Speaker 3: up against a really good defense, and that's why. I
- 2:03Speaker 3: don't think they're going to really score that much. But
- 2:06Speaker 3: when it comes to the fourth quarter and making the
- 2:08Speaker 3: drive that you need to salt the game way, I
- 2:10Speaker 3: think they get it done. Seventeen to thirteen, Chiefs win
- 2:13Speaker 3: and they cover the number.
- 2:14Speaker 5: Ooh, well, I don't have them covering the number. I
- 2:16Speaker 5: have them with a two point win in this matchup
- 2:19Speaker 5: twenty three to twenty one. When I'm looking at you
- 2:21Speaker 5: know who else is facing a strong defense in this one, yeah, CJ.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Stroud.
- 2:24Speaker 5: And then when I look at what's the difference between
- 2:26Speaker 5: this year and last year, it's really how he's performed
- 2:29Speaker 5: against zone defense. Last year that was a huge source
- 2:31Speaker 5: of success fifteen touchdowns to just two interceptions. This year,
- 2:35Speaker 5: with around the same number of passing yards per game,
- 2:38Speaker 5: he's averaging oh you know, nine touchdowns with eight interceptions.
- 2:42Speaker 5: That's a huge difference and a huge source of a problem. Well,
- 2:45Speaker 5: what's going on. The defenses are disguising man versus zone check.
- 2:49Speaker 5: The Steve Spagnolo Chiefs can do that really well. They're
- 2:52Speaker 5: getting pressure along the interier of that on line check.
- 2:54Speaker 6: We know that they can do that as.
- 2:56Speaker 5: Well, and then they're getting a lot of penalties on
- 2:58Speaker 5: that offense.
- 2:59Speaker 6: So CJ.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Stroud's going to find himself in a very difficult situation
- 3:02Speaker 5: yet again in this one.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I've got a low scoring game as well with you guys,
- 3:05Speaker 2: but it's probably splitting the difference. I've got an eighteen
- 3:08Speaker 2: seventeen game, but I have the Houston Texans winning. These
- 3:11Speaker 2: are two teams that are very similar offensively. In fact,
- 3:14Speaker 2: it's just one tenth of a point that separates them
- 3:17Speaker 2: in points per game. But the fact is the Kansas
- 3:19Speaker 2: City Chiefs have had trouble protecting Patrick Mahomes and the
- 3:23Speaker 2: Houston Texans have the best edge duo in the entire league,
- 3:26Speaker 2: the only pair of teammates in the NFL with ten
- 3:29Speaker 2: or more secks. Daniel Hunter has twelve sex and Will
- 3:33Speaker 2: Anderson has missed a couple of games. He has ten
- 3:35Speaker 2: and a half. A top ten passing defense in every
- 3:38Speaker 2: category per net NFL Stats, short passing, long passing, play
- 3:43Speaker 2: action passing. The only one the Chiefs have an advantage
- 3:45Speaker 2: down the list is quick passing, and we saw what
- 3:48Speaker 2: the Texans were able to do against two on the
- 3:49Speaker 2: Miami Dolphins. So yeah, I'll go solo here and be
- 3:52Speaker 2: absolutely fine with it. Eighteen seventeen Texans win, which is
- 3:55Speaker 2: certainly doomed. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs as we
- 3:59Speaker 2: go to our next Saturday game. A similar to Greg
- 4:02Speaker 2: and Cynthia's rivalry in our picks competition, the Steelers and
- 4:05Speaker 2: the Ravens have an equally vicious rivalry, which apparently makes
- 4:08Speaker 2: me the Cleveland Browns. The teams were set to score
- 4:10Speaker 2: off Saturday Big Stakes between the Steelers and Ravens rematch.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Pittsburgh can clinch the division with a win. George Pickens
- 4:17Speaker 2: is out, but TJ. Watt is expected to play, so
- 4:21Speaker 2: that exchange. Does that work out for Pittsburgh?
- 4:23Speaker 3: It does not work out. You need George Pickens out there.
- 4:26Speaker 3: I don't think they score enough. Twenty six to thirteen.
- 4:28Speaker 3: I have the Ravens winning. I don't think it's close
- 4:31Speaker 3: because I think this is the best overall group of weapons.
- 4:33Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson has ever had in the tight end position
- 4:36Speaker 3: is such a big part of that. People say, okay,
- 4:39Speaker 3: like Lamar doesn't have enough guys to throw to. How
- 4:41Speaker 3: about the all time leading touchdown scorer as a pass
- 4:45Speaker 3: catcher in Mark Andrews, who, after a quiet start, is back.
- 4:49Speaker 4: To being Mark Andrews.
- 4:50Speaker 3: Then you compliment him with Isaiah Likely, who is just
- 4:53Speaker 3: a dynamic playmaker in the matchups that you can get
- 4:56Speaker 3: in the running game and in the receiving game. Against
- 4:59Speaker 3: these Steelers linebackers, I think are really advantageous after the buye.
- 5:03Speaker 3: They used both tight ends on forty four percent of
- 5:05Speaker 3: their snaps against the Giants last week. Look for them
- 5:08Speaker 3: to do more of that. Get heavy and beat up
- 5:10Speaker 3: the Steelers.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Ooh, well, I love watching Lamar Jackson spin it. It's
- 5:14Speaker 5: so much fun. But I want to talk about something
- 5:16Speaker 5: that is driving my win for Baltimore twenty seven to twenty.
- 5:19Speaker 5: But on the other side of the ball, that is
- 5:21Speaker 5: Russell Wilson, who we saw those deep plays. You saw
- 5:23Speaker 5: George Pickens all over that game in Week eleven. But
- 5:27Speaker 5: this time we've seen a little bit of causes for
- 5:29Speaker 5: concern in terms of the comfort level of Russell Wilson,
- 5:32Speaker 5: who's now throwing the ball on twenty seven percent of
- 5:35Speaker 5: his dropbacks.
- 5:36Speaker 6: That's the highest in the league.
- 5:38Speaker 5: And interesting now we've seen two games in a row
- 5:40Speaker 5: where he has sub two hundred passing yards. Those two
- 5:43Speaker 5: games line up with George Pickens being out.
- 5:45Speaker 6: My whole point here is.
- 5:46Speaker 5: Now we're starting to see panic mode, a little bit
- 5:49Speaker 5: of like, what's going on?
- 5:50Speaker 6: Where's my dude?
- 5:51Speaker 5: What happens when this deep pass doesn't work? This is
- 5:54Speaker 5: a situation that doesn't bode well for Russell Wilson in
- 5:57Speaker 5: this matchup. At this point in the season.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I've got a Baltimore Ravens win as well, especially considering Russ.
- 6:04Speaker 2: The biggest difficulty that Greg mentioned is the fact that
- 6:06Speaker 2: there's no George Pickens there, so the explosive play isn't
- 6:09Speaker 2: The explosive play is always there for the Baltimore Ravens,
- 6:12Speaker 2: far and away leading the NFL in that category. Year
- 6:14Speaker 2: two with Todd Malkin has been great, and a big
- 6:17Speaker 2: part of that has been Rashad Bateman.
- 6:19Speaker 6: That's how I feel, too.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yes, that's what it was, because the passes were looking
- 6:23Speaker 2: great against the Giants and this is not the Giants
- 6:25Speaker 2: Stephens coming up by any stretch, regardless of TJ wats
- 6:29Speaker 2: health status. But the problem Rashap Baateman was on the
- 6:33Speaker 2: injury report late this week with a foot. But the
- 6:36Speaker 2: Ravens are so versatile they could just get more too
- 6:38Speaker 2: tight end not gonna be Deontay Johnson because he's out
- 6:42Speaker 2: this week as well. But just confidence in playing the
- 6:44Speaker 2: Steelers for the second time and this one being at
- 6:46Speaker 2: home and the margin simply being a two point conversion
- 6:48Speaker 2: the last time around. I feel comfortable. We're all there,
- 6:51Speaker 2: Meme away Steelers fans. Speaking of the Steelers and Ravens,
- 6:55Speaker 2: you can also catch both games that we just talked
- 6:58Speaker 2: about on Christmas Day, except the teams were playing in
- 7:01Speaker 2: the other teams. It's like a little end season tournament,
- 7:03Speaker 2: a huge playoff in implications, live on Netflix on Christmas Day,
- 7:06Speaker 2: starting at one pm Eastern in the Kansas City Chiefs
- 7:09Speaker 2: taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed up by the Baltimore
- 7:11Speaker 2: Ravens and the Houston Texans at four thirty pm Eastern.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Speaking of holiday cheer, let's head right to the city
- 7:17Speaker 2: of brotherly Love. Turns out winning and scoring makes everybody happy.
- 7:22Speaker 5: A J.
- 7:22Speaker 2: Brown and Jalen Hurts is just fine. After last week.
- 7:24Speaker 2: The Eagles now face off against Jayden Daniels and the
- 7:26Speaker 2: Commander's Sunday. Philly has won ten straight. Do they win
- 7:29Speaker 2: eleven straight this time next week?
- 7:31Speaker 5: Cynthia, They sure do. I have twenty five to twenty one.
- 7:34Speaker 5: My biggest question was was that the dance from Kidden Place?
- 7:37Speaker 2: Yes? Sure?
- 7:38Speaker 5: What?
- 7:38Speaker 6: Okay, just making sure because they kind of didn't finish it.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Anyways, We're going to talk about that some other time.
- 7:43Speaker 5: But I want to talk about Nolan Smith because in
- 7:45Speaker 5: all of this mess, he hasn't gotten his flowers. This
- 7:47Speaker 5: man is doing terrible things. Two posing quarterbacks. Great if
- 7:51Speaker 5: you're a Philadelphia Eagles fan, But if you're Jayden Daniels,
- 7:55Speaker 5: he's coming for you. This man's pressure rate is coming
- 7:58Speaker 5: right at you. And maybe we don't talk about him enough.
- 7:59Speaker 5: We talk about Jalen Carter. Okay, we talk about controversies
- 8:03Speaker 5: on the offense, if they like each.
- 8:04Speaker 6: Other or not.
- 8:05Speaker 5: But you know what, let's talk about this defense between
- 8:07Speaker 5: him and Zach Bond. There are some guys who just
- 8:09Speaker 5: don't get enough love. We are giving them love right here.
- 8:12Speaker 4: On this show.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah, there's something about the Eagles that year after year
- 8:15Speaker 3: you just look up front on both sides of the
- 8:17Speaker 3: ball and they're just dominant. And the one constant on
- 8:20Speaker 3: the offense is Lane Johnson. I think the Eagles win
- 8:23Speaker 3: this game. I think they do it going away because
- 8:26Speaker 3: their run game will just lean on Washington like they
- 8:28Speaker 3: did the first time around twenty seven to fifteen is
- 8:31Speaker 3: my score. Lane Johnson last week got banged up and
- 8:34Speaker 3: you're worried he's going up against TJ.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Watt.
- 8:37Speaker 3: You know how many pressures Lane Johnson gave up last week?
- 8:40Speaker 4: Zero.
- 8:41Speaker 3: This is an all time great who's still at the
- 8:43Speaker 3: absolute peak of his powers. First ballot Hall of Famer
- 8:46Speaker 3: in the mix, I would say as maybe the greatest
- 8:49Speaker 3: right tackle of all time, maybe the greatest offensive lineman
- 8:52Speaker 3: of the last twenty years. Like he's right there with
- 8:55Speaker 3: Joe Thomas. Maybe doesn't get that sort of love, but
- 8:57Speaker 3: he has that sort of career going right.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Yeah, the Eagles were able to do things in a
- 9:01Speaker 2: big stretch without Also they've missed Lane Johnson for parts
- 9:05Speaker 2: of this season. That was concerning. They were able to
- 9:08Speaker 2: overcome Landon Dickerson missing parts of last week. No concerns.
- 9:12Speaker 2: They're concerns about other spots. Go coaches beefing, players beefing.
- 9:15Speaker 2: No concerns there. Nobody's concerned about Advante Smith easier either,
- 9:20Speaker 2: a guy who's playing in the slot now more than
- 9:22Speaker 2: he has in his entire career. In fact, it's almost
- 9:25Speaker 2: double the amount of snaps from the slot. Speaking of
- 9:28Speaker 2: career highs. He had a career high and eleven catches
- 9:31Speaker 2: last week, So yeah, they wanted to work on the
- 9:33Speaker 2: passing game. Turns out we've seen Jalen Hursts, Dvante Smith,
- 9:37Speaker 2: AJ Brown be successful.
- 9:38Speaker 4: It's not like.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Those guys are gone. They could just turn it up
- 9:41Speaker 2: when they need to, and they did last week against Pittsburgh.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We all agree they win this game in the division
- 9:46Speaker 2: against the Commanders. Just getting started here on game Dave,
- 9:49Speaker 2: you don't look now, well, I guess you can, because
- 9:52Speaker 2: the bump's coming up. Sam Donald's got the Vikings cooking.
- 9:55Speaker 2: Minnesota is caught up to the Lions in the NFC North,
- 9:58Speaker 2: but they've got their eyes set at the number one
- 10:00Speaker 2: overall seed in the conference. How far and they go
- 10:05Speaker 2: this week in Seattle's Big We'll tell you how we
- 10:07Speaker 2: think it will go. Next time for the Drive to
- 10:16Speaker 2: Excellence presented by Mercedes Bins. As we look at the
- 10:20Speaker 2: NFC playoff picture, you hear Cynthia's ci despite the fact
- 10:24Speaker 2: that the Lions still in position to have the number
- 10:28Speaker 2: one overall seat in the NFC, but there's a couple
- 10:30Speaker 2: of other teams at twelve and two. And then as
- 10:34Speaker 2: we get Yeah, let's get to the Drive to Excellence
- 10:36Speaker 2: presented by Mercedes Benz because it's a big matchup between
- 10:39Speaker 2: the Vikings and the Seahawks. After an injury scare last week,
- 10:41Speaker 2: Gino Smith is expected to play, and he's a big
- 10:44Speaker 2: reason why I have Seattle winning twenty four to twenty
- 10:47Speaker 2: two because we have not won but two former Jets
- 10:49Speaker 2: quarterbacks now with franchises that actually support and enable them.
- 10:53Speaker 2: They're both good, but Gino's better right now. In one spot.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Since the buye back in Week eleven, for the Seattle
- 11:00Speaker 2: Seahawks with a minimum of ten dropbacks, Geno Smith has
- 11:05Speaker 2: the highest completion percentage over expected against five or more
- 11:08Speaker 2: pass rushers. Why is that important? Because they're playing the
- 11:11Speaker 2: Minnesota Vikings, something they are certainly willing to do with
- 11:14Speaker 2: Brian Flores calling up the plays, it feels like a lot.
- 11:17Speaker 2: But the Seahawks sneakily kind of need this one. Greg.
- 11:20Speaker 2: That's why I feel confident in them at home with
- 11:23Speaker 2: Gino playing well.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Against Okay, they need it. I don't know that I'm confident.
- 11:27Speaker 3: I think they cover that number. And if I'm gonna
- 11:30Speaker 3: have them cover the number, let's just go all the way.
- 11:32Speaker 3: And have Seattle win this game against Minnesota in part
- 11:36Speaker 3: because their defense I think bounces back. The Packers gave
- 11:39Speaker 3: them a lot early last week, but I believe Ernest
- 11:42Speaker 3: Jones and this Seattle defense can figure things out and
- 11:46Speaker 3: against the Vikings. I think having a strong second level
- 11:50Speaker 3: not only could help stop the run against Aaron Jones,
- 11:52Speaker 3: and Seattle's been much better stopping on except for that
- 11:54Speaker 3: first half against the Packers, but they've been much better
- 11:57Speaker 3: since picking up Ernest Jones, but also in the passing game,
- 12:00Speaker 3: they've been better at the second level, and I think
- 12:02Speaker 3: they can force Seam Darnold into miss I don't know
- 12:05Speaker 3: if I feel that confident, but I'm hoping. As I
- 12:08Speaker 3: send it over to the more Christmasy part of the set,
- 12:11Speaker 3: Cynthia Freeland, I noticed that like when when Cynthia is
- 12:14Speaker 3: on her one shot, it's just way more festive than
- 12:16Speaker 3: when Patrick can there.
- 12:18Speaker 4: I can look at me. She's like a little elm.
- 12:20Speaker 5: You know, this is our last show, but for Christmas,
- 12:21Speaker 5: had to spice.
- 12:22Speaker 6: It up a little bit, all right.
- 12:23Speaker 5: I actually have the Minnesota Vikings in this matchup twenty
- 12:26Speaker 5: three to twenty one.
- 12:27Speaker 6: The messy middle, if you will.
- 12:29Speaker 5: So I guess I'm kind of on the side of it,
- 12:31Speaker 5: but it is a prime number in terms of straight
- 12:32Speaker 5: up picks.
- 12:33Speaker 6: D Lady, when I'm looking at the reason why what
- 12:36Speaker 6: you loving my deed lyad?
- 12:37Speaker 5: Yes, you're giving me the Minnesota Vikings tour favored with
- 12:42Speaker 5: Justin Jefferson. Okay, fine by me, I'll take it. The
- 12:46Speaker 5: reality is is it's not just Jefferson, but it's the
- 12:48Speaker 5: addition of Addison. See what I did there, Hokinson and
- 12:52Speaker 5: Jefferson that all together create just such a problem. Now
- 12:56Speaker 5: layer in Aaron Jones and I don't care if a
- 12:58Speaker 5: linebacker levels great or I don't care if individual cornerbacks
- 13:01Speaker 5: are great. The model says Justin Jefferson, and this run
- 13:05Speaker 5: and pass attack just has an advantage over the Seahawks.
- 13:08Speaker 6: I'm not gonna say I liked it. And two weeks
- 13:10Speaker 6: ago I.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Looked back, the model had the opposite but potential injuries
- 13:14Speaker 5: to Gino Smith. Now, even if he's playing like great,
- 13:17Speaker 5: but is it one hundred percent? We can't factor that in.
- 13:20Speaker 5: If it's eighty percent Gino Minnesota wins.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Yeah. The explanation for that would be how Sam Howell
- 13:25Speaker 2: looked in the last game perhaps that's why you would
- 13:28Speaker 2: run eighty percent Gino out there the Vikings looking up
- 13:31Speaker 2: at the Lions still Cynthia in the standings. Detroit came
- 13:35Speaker 2: up short against the Bills last week, but it certainly
- 13:37Speaker 2: was not because of their offense. But the Lions came
- 13:39Speaker 2: up just short last week. They got a ton of injuries,
- 13:42Speaker 2: but are looking to bounce back against the Bears. How
- 13:45Speaker 2: big will the bounce back be?
- 13:46Speaker 5: Some I have a touchdown bounce back twenty seven to
- 13:49Speaker 5: twenty in this matchup. You saw the weird creative play
- 13:52Speaker 5: to Dan Skipper. Luckily he didn't throw up after, although
- 13:54Speaker 5: that was pretty funny in the week prep. But anyways,
- 13:57Speaker 5: I also think Jamison Williams and Tim Patrick, these are
- 13:59Speaker 5: the type of guys who are going to be used
- 14:01Speaker 5: in ways we maybe haven't seen before, especially Jamison Williams,
- 14:04Speaker 5: who we know has some wheels on him. You're watching
- 14:07Speaker 5: plays where he's catching the football now, but don't be
- 14:09Speaker 5: surprised if he lines up in the backfield. Don't be
- 14:11Speaker 5: surprised if we see him do something that you know,
- 14:14Speaker 5: maybe I don't know, something that looks like something and
- 14:16Speaker 5: looks like something else, right, So trick oration some things
- 14:19Speaker 5: where I'm trying to kind of politely request that they
- 14:22Speaker 5: use him in you know, flea fleers, just stuff that
- 14:25Speaker 5: tricks the defense. This is a defense you can run on,
- 14:27Speaker 5: especially running to the outside. Just do that, Jamison Williams
- 14:31Speaker 5: take the easier thing. Jamis Williams is super fast. You
- 14:34Speaker 5: can run on the bear sea outside.
- 14:36Speaker 6: There you go.
- 14:37Speaker 4: Okay, So earlier there was a sigh way.
- 14:41Speaker 5: Yeah, the sigh is because now the Eagles in my
- 14:43Speaker 5: model are forecast to be the one seed, which means
- 14:45Speaker 5: they don't get a bye the Lions, which means that
- 14:48Speaker 5: the Eagles are playing at home for the last time
- 14:49Speaker 5: until the potential Super Bowl.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Well, we'll see.
- 14:52Speaker 3: First of all, I just would like to take you
- 14:54Speaker 3: back to a different version of Cynthia years ago and
- 14:57Speaker 3: hear that you're sighing because your Lions are only twelve
- 15:00Speaker 3: and two and tied for the buy.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Let's have some confidence, like the Lions. Let's crush the Bears.
- 15:06Speaker 3: They're gonna win forty one to thirteen. I'm gonna go
- 15:08Speaker 3: back and tell that Cynthia. Yes, you're gonna have a
- 15:11Speaker 3: lot of injuries when you take this situation, though you
- 15:14Speaker 3: have the best offense in the entire NFL. You have
- 15:18Speaker 3: an MVP candidate and a recognized top five quarterback in
- 15:22Speaker 3: Jared Goff, who is maybe weirdly underrated.
- 15:25Speaker 4: Now because he's the same guy each and every week.
- 15:28Speaker 3: You have a great coordinator dialing up plays, who's finding
- 15:31Speaker 3: receivers open, and you have a quarterback who's just on time,
- 15:34Speaker 3: on rhythm, been in that offense so long that he
- 15:37Speaker 3: gets the guys to the receiver in stride. I know
- 15:40Speaker 3: the defense is all injured, and that's gonna come up
- 15:42Speaker 3: in the next few weeks against better competition. The Bears
- 15:44Speaker 3: are not that team. They're gonna want to feel better
- 15:47Speaker 3: this week. They're gonna put a forty burger on him,
- 15:49Speaker 3: and they're gonna cover this by so much. It's not
- 15:51Speaker 3: my last time talking about it in this show.
- 15:53Speaker 2: I feel like I should have I should have gone
- 15:55Speaker 2: between you guys. I have almost the same score Cynthia does.
- 15:58Speaker 2: That's fine, twenty eight to twenty, So Greg, I want
- 16:01Speaker 2: to take the thunder away from Greg's speech. We would
- 16:04Speaker 2: that the thunder aspect of the Detroit Lions was still around.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Hopefully David Montgomery is able to make a quick recovery
- 16:10Speaker 2: whatever route that he chooses. But what a luxury it
- 16:12Speaker 2: is to have Jamiir Gibbs there, who far and away
- 16:17Speaker 2: leads all running backs in explosive run rate at seventeen
- 16:20Speaker 2: point eight percent. He's just ahead of Derrick Henry in
- 16:24Speaker 2: terms of explosive runs on the season on like seventy
- 16:28Speaker 2: fewer carries. He can take the top off of the
- 16:31Speaker 2: defense in the run game. I know Cynthia wants Jamo
- 16:35Speaker 2: to get back there as well, to attack these bears
- 16:37Speaker 2: on the edge, and they can do it. They can
- 16:38Speaker 2: beat you in so many different places. We're all on
- 16:41Speaker 2: the Detroit Lions, and yes, past version of Cynthia, they're
- 16:45Speaker 2: still really good. We'll tell the present version as well.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Huge second half for Devonte Adams last week, ton of
- 16:50Speaker 2: sees the season present about Caesars Sportsbook. As we look
- 16:53Speaker 2: at the first touchdown score odds between the Rams going
- 16:57Speaker 2: all the way across the United States take on the
- 16:59Speaker 2: Jets at Mettlife, Kayle Willis, Puka Takua leading the way
- 17:02Speaker 2: and then Breese Hall the first Jett plus six hundred
- 17:06Speaker 2: this game in MetLife, where la is sitting in first
- 17:09Speaker 2: place in the NFC West right now, But Rogers and
- 17:12Speaker 2: the Jets have been playing better. Who wins great.
- 17:15Speaker 3: I think the Rams win, but they've been a little enigmatic.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I would say when they've gone east, it's been close.
- 17:20Speaker 3: So I have the Jets covering because Aaron Rodgers in
- 17:24Speaker 3: this offense is finally looking like you hoped it would
- 17:27Speaker 3: look back in September. Aaron Rodgers was their leading rusher
- 17:31Speaker 3: last week over forty five yards. He really has been
- 17:33Speaker 3: moving better. Some of it is matchup based. I don't
- 17:36Speaker 3: think this is one of the better offenses in the league,
- 17:38Speaker 3: but I think now with DeVante and Garrett Wilson a
- 17:41Speaker 3: little more in sync with their quarterback and Aaron Rodgers
- 17:44Speaker 3: just a little bit more willing to hold onto the ball,
- 17:46Speaker 3: I think they can score against average defenses, and that's
- 17:50Speaker 3: what I would consider the Rams right now.
- 17:52Speaker 4: They're not great in the second theory.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Their pass rush, especially Jared Versus, fallen off just a
- 17:56Speaker 3: bit lately. So I think the Rams are really gonna
- 17:59Speaker 3: sweat this one out. It's gonna be close, but they
- 18:01Speaker 3: do get the win.
- 18:02Speaker 5: I have the exact same winner and the exact same score,
- 18:05Speaker 5: so we are aligned on that one. But I want
- 18:08Speaker 5: to talk about Matthew Stafford and I actually created a
- 18:11Speaker 5: metric just for Stafford. This was back when he was
- 18:13Speaker 5: a lion and getting flattened on Angrey down. But do
- 18:15Speaker 5: you know who the best quarterback on the play after
- 18:18Speaker 5: being pressured is?
- 18:19Speaker 2: Who's up?
- 18:19Speaker 5: Matthew Stafford And it's not even close.
- 18:22Speaker 6: And he's even gotten.
- 18:22Speaker 5: Better at that metric since becoming a Ram. So this guy,
- 18:26Speaker 5: every time he's pressured, he either converts the down or
- 18:29Speaker 5: gets a touchdown forty five percent of the time.
- 18:31Speaker 6: The next closest guy is forty one percent.
- 18:33Speaker 5: So if you want another reason why Matthew Stafford is
- 18:36Speaker 5: a Hall of Famer for sure, easy pas, just no
- 18:39Speaker 5: question there it is. Yeah, pressure him and see what happens.
- 18:42Speaker 6: I don't think he's gonna get a ton.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Of pressure, Fonds. Yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 18:46Speaker 2: It's how you deal with pressure, and after pressure comes,
- 18:48Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford much better than next time around. I will
- 18:51Speaker 2: take one more point in both greg and sent the
- 18:53Speaker 2: alge of the Rams twenty five points in a twenty
- 18:55Speaker 2: five to twenty four win over the Jets. Yes we
- 18:57Speaker 2: are a meme. I'm going to talk about Pooka nakula.
- 19:01Speaker 2: There's so many aspects of poka Nakua game where we
- 19:04Speaker 2: could celebrate. But here's a fun stat for you. The
- 19:07Speaker 2: Rams average almost a yard more per carry when Puka
- 19:11Speaker 2: and Kua is on the field. He does so many
- 19:14Speaker 2: different things. Defenses are so worried about him. He's been
- 19:16Speaker 2: in motion more since he came back from injury, and yeah,
- 19:20Speaker 2: four point five yards per carry. When Pooka is on
- 19:22Speaker 2: the field, he just makes everything better. He makes Matthew
- 19:25Speaker 2: Stafford better. And as the Rams are making this push
- 19:27Speaker 2: for the postseason, I do not think that they will
- 19:30Speaker 2: fail in MetLife. Speaking of the Rams, they'll be a
- 19:33Speaker 2: part of NFL Networks Saturday tripleheader coming up on the
- 19:36Speaker 2: twenty eighth, starting off with the Chargers taking on the
- 19:40Speaker 2: Patriots in New England, and then a big AFC matchup
- 19:43Speaker 2: with the Broncos and Bengals, and why not finishing it
- 19:47Speaker 2: up with an NFC West battle between Kyler Murray and
- 19:49Speaker 2: the Cardinals at Matthew Stafford and those Rams. It all
- 19:52Speaker 2: starts with game day kickoff at ten am Eastern Saturday
- 19:57Speaker 2: on NFL Network Tom Ross to make some quick picks.
- 20:00Speaker 2: We start with those Arizona Cardinals taking on the Carolina Panthers.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Carol wronged all of us last week because we all
- 20:06Speaker 2: picked up for the first time and they lost, disappointing us.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Arizona still has a shot at making the playoffs. Who
- 20:11Speaker 2: wins this one?
- 20:11Speaker 3: I like the Cardinals, who in part to set up
- 20:14Speaker 3: that Cardinals Rams game Big one next Saturday night.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I think it's close to the Cardinals.
- 20:18Speaker 3: The Panthers cover the number, but James Connor and the
- 20:21Speaker 3: Cardinals rushing attack is too much. Every team going up
- 20:25Speaker 3: against this Cowboys rush defense goes off. You saw it
- 20:28Speaker 3: with Rico Dada last week, and then you look at
- 20:30Speaker 3: the way James Connor ran coming out of their by
- 20:33Speaker 3: He was fantastic big plays. I love that the Cardinals
- 20:37Speaker 3: are hooking up the guys who deserve it with long
- 20:40Speaker 3: term contract extensions during the season. James Connor got one
- 20:44Speaker 3: late November Buddha Baker, as Cynthia pointed out here, their
- 20:48Speaker 3: safety got one recently.
- 20:49Speaker 4: The Cardinals doing things the right way. You know, organizations
- 20:52Speaker 4: they can change.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Yeah, pay your good players. It works out for everybody,
- 20:56Speaker 2: especially the fans who like watching good players. The Saints
- 20:59Speaker 2: and the Packers Monday Night in Grey Bay. The packs
- 21:01Speaker 2: only losses have come to twelve and twelve win teams.
- 21:05Speaker 2: So how's this one gonna goes in?
- 21:06Speaker 6: There?
- 21:06Speaker 5: Are the Saints a twelve win team? They or not,
- 21:08Speaker 5: then they're going to lose. Green Bay wins twenty eight
- 21:11Speaker 5: to thirteen. I have a fifteen point win. This is
- 21:13Speaker 5: the second most confident pick of the entire week for me.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Why you see Josh Jacobs, you know what he does.
- 21:19Speaker 6: He rushes.
- 21:20Speaker 5: He rushes exactly to the place where the Saints are
- 21:23Speaker 5: most vulnerable, and that's on the inside.
- 21:25Speaker 6: They're gonna see him in the.
- 21:26Speaker 5: End zone probably twice, I would guess in this matchup.
- 21:30Speaker 5: I think this is a huge outing for him, especially
- 21:32Speaker 5: because there's so many pieces on the Saints offense that
- 21:34Speaker 5: are just banged up. Their injury report is very long
- 21:36Speaker 5: as well, so I think Josh Jacob's massive day.
- 21:40Speaker 2: All Right, the Patriots and the Bills in Orchard Park,
- 21:42Speaker 2: don't think we need to discuss this with too much.
- 21:44Speaker 2: We're all taking Buffalo to win. Josh Allen playing out
- 21:47Speaker 2: of this world. Seriously, Why don't way to take a
- 21:50Speaker 2: look at his numbers lately? These all coming in the
- 21:53Speaker 2: last three games. He's thrown for seven touchdowns, ran for six,
- 21:57Speaker 2: he caught a touchdown. He might have helped a few
- 22:00Speaker 2: people on the road on the way to the game.
- 22:02Speaker 4: I mean, it's.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Everything, Josh Allen. So why don't we go to a
- 22:05Speaker 2: special more or less Josh Allen edition? I mean going
- 22:08Speaker 2: up against Greg's Patriots. That he had four total touchdowns
- 22:11Speaker 2: last week against the lines, more or less than two
- 22:13Speaker 2: and a half touchdowns against your pets.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Wow, this is easy. You remember that playoff game where
- 22:18Speaker 3: Bill Belichick's defense didn't get a single stop against Josh Allen.
- 22:21Speaker 3: This is a much worse defense, Josh Allen, I would
- 22:24Speaker 3: go four touchdowns. I do find your lack of respect
- 22:27Speaker 3: for the game that we don't need to talk about
- 22:29Speaker 3: this a little disrespectful to Drake May. You know who
- 22:31Speaker 3: has a higher success rate than Josh Allen since Week
- 22:35Speaker 3: ten throwing the football?
- 22:36Speaker 4: Drake May.
- 22:38Speaker 3: So yes, I took this Josh Allen prop. And I
- 22:40Speaker 3: talked about Drake May because he's a great young quarterback,
- 22:42Speaker 3: but Josh Allen's better.
- 22:43Speaker 4: More touchdowns, all right, Well.
- 22:45Speaker 2: We're just talking specifically about props in this game, so
- 22:48Speaker 2: we are talking about this game. He threw for over
- 22:51Speaker 2: three hundred and fifty yards last week, more or less
- 22:54Speaker 2: than two hundred and thirty seven this week.
- 22:56Speaker 5: So here, oh that number is far too low. Why
- 22:59Speaker 5: because they got to figure some things out in the
- 23:00Speaker 5: passing game. And this is actually not a team you
- 23:02Speaker 5: want a deep pass against. Allowed two or two deep
- 23:05Speaker 5: passing touchdowns this whole season, that's not very many. But
- 23:09Speaker 5: they really use the underneath stuff quite a bit.
- 23:11Speaker 6: In fact, Khalil Shakir.
- 23:12Speaker 5: Of course, we know this guy has a ton of
- 23:14Speaker 5: those ten air yard receptions five hundred and ninety.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Yards worth to be exact.
- 23:19Speaker 5: This is gonna be a fun one to watch for
- 23:20Speaker 5: Kean Coleman, for Marie Cooper, like, let's get all the
- 23:22Speaker 5: guys involved and see what happens.
- 23:24Speaker 3: You know, one thing I like about this Bill's offense
- 23:26Speaker 3: is they are not a team that's just gonna sit
- 23:28Speaker 3: on their lead. If they get up thirty to ten,
- 23:31Speaker 3: they're not gonna get more conservative.
- 23:32Speaker 4: They're gonna keep putting up points.
- 23:34Speaker 6: And they'll have already known if the Chiefs want or not, right,
- 23:36Speaker 6: but it's still they're still chasing the Chiefs. They want
- 23:38Speaker 6: the one seed, baby, and.
- 23:40Speaker 2: So ultimately that's a big factor. As I look at
- 23:42Speaker 2: Josh Allen running for over thirty seven and a half yards,
- 23:45Speaker 2: and I think that's a big factor because I think
- 23:47Speaker 2: they may depending on knowing the results of the game
- 23:50Speaker 2: between the Texans and the Chiefs, and also the fact
- 23:52Speaker 2: that I'm not gonna smash my generational quarterback into defenders
- 23:57Speaker 2: at this point against this Patriots team late in the season.
- 24:01Speaker 2: It's like, I know that Josh sometimes we'll go off
- 24:04Speaker 2: and do his own thing. But if there's a week
- 24:06Speaker 2: for Sean mcdermom to be like, hey, seventeen, maybe chill
- 24:09Speaker 2: a little bit on the Superman heroics, it's probably this.
- 24:12Speaker 6: One, you know what.
- 24:13Speaker 5: I'd look at the Drake May number and put that
- 24:15Speaker 5: one over though, get a little more Drake May love
- 24:17Speaker 5: in there, because the rushing yard total, that could be
- 24:19Speaker 5: a good one for me. You might run against this
- 24:21Speaker 5: defense just saying, yeah.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Who's Drake May's nickname? Per Greg the only thing that
- 24:25Speaker 2: matters Drake May? The Bucks and the Cowboys Sunday night
- 24:30Speaker 2: in Dallas. Tampa's won for straight but Dallas kind of
- 24:32Speaker 2: frisky right now. Defense playing better since MICA's back. How
- 24:35Speaker 2: well do they play against Baker and the Bucks.
- 24:37Speaker 5: I think they don't win this twenty six to twenty
- 24:40Speaker 5: one in favor of the Bucks.
- 24:42Speaker 6: Is my score.
- 24:43Speaker 5: I want to talk about the Bucks defense for a second,
- 24:45Speaker 5: because we've kind of been giving them a hard time
- 24:47Speaker 5: all season long, but they have had an uptick in
- 24:50Speaker 5: pressure and that's gonna be a problem for Cooper Rush,
- 24:52Speaker 5: especially because as we're looking at the opportunity for his.
- 24:55Speaker 6: O line to stop the pressure, it is diminished.
- 24:58Speaker 5: So I'm watching these guys and I'm watching where the
- 25:01Speaker 5: rushes are coming from. It's kind of the middle, it's
- 25:03Speaker 5: kind of it's kind of all over, so low key.
- 25:06Speaker 5: This has been something that we haven't been on enough
- 25:08Speaker 5: on this show, so just wanted to get a little
- 25:10Speaker 5: love to all the guys rushing the passer for the Bucks.
- 25:14Speaker 3: And they've been really improving on that side of the ball,
- 25:16Speaker 3: trying to catch up to the offense, which has really
- 25:18Speaker 3: been outstanding all year. This offense has gotten Sterling Shepherd
- 25:24Speaker 3: into a big time role in the year twenty twenty four.
- 25:27Speaker 3: I always thought Sterling Shepard was an underrated route runner
- 25:30Speaker 3: and could have had a really nice career, but injuries
- 25:32Speaker 3: took him out almost out of the entire league. And
- 25:34Speaker 3: you know how to recognize great offenses, they take players
- 25:38Speaker 3: that didn't work at all in other places and they
- 25:40Speaker 3: make them into productive role players. I have the Bucks
- 25:42Speaker 3: covering this number twenty seven to nineteen in part because
- 25:46Speaker 3: when Baker Mayfield needs a play, he actually has a
- 25:49Speaker 3: lot of different options. Kate Atten's made big plays, Sterling
- 25:52Speaker 3: Shepherd has shown up in the biggest moments a lot
- 25:54Speaker 3: in contested catch situations.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Jalen McMillan, their rookie has been showing up.
- 25:58Speaker 3: And so this is one of my favorite picks of
- 26:00Speaker 3: the week, the Bucks covering this number. That's why it
- 26:02Speaker 3: was one of my picks on the NFL Daily Podcast
- 26:05Speaker 3: with Cynthia every week.
- 26:06Speaker 2: I've got the Bucks covering as well. Greg. And one
- 26:08Speaker 2: of those options that Baker Mayfield has to throw the
- 26:11Speaker 2: ball to is Rashad White, who in this Bucks backfield
- 26:14Speaker 2: we felt like was the guy for the pass game
- 26:17Speaker 2: out of the backfield and Bucky Irving was a guy
- 26:19Speaker 2: for the run game. But look at the past few
- 26:21Speaker 2: weeks for Rashad White. He had almost seven yards of
- 26:24Speaker 2: carry against the Panthers and then five point three yards
- 26:27Speaker 2: per carry against the Raiders in a solid performance in
- 26:29Speaker 2: the win at Sofi Stadium. In the rush and pass game,
- 26:33Speaker 2: the Bucks offense still pretty good. It's a tough spot
- 26:36Speaker 2: for this kind of resurgent Cowboys team, but we all
- 26:40Speaker 2: have Tampa Bay winning as well as getting over that
- 26:44Speaker 2: number of four points against the Cowboys. Folks in the
- 26:47Speaker 2: Desert expecting major points on Monday night. Let's check out
- 26:50Speaker 2: the highest over unders for the week. As we look there,
- 26:54Speaker 2: forty eight and a half the big point total in
- 26:57Speaker 2: the game. We just discussed the Lions and Bears, Browns, Bengals, Cardinals, Panthers,
- 27:01Speaker 2: and then the Rams and the Jets rounding out the list.
- 27:04Speaker 2: So let's move on to the forty nine Ers and
- 27:07Speaker 2: the Dolphins. Miami needs to win if they want to
- 27:09Speaker 2: keep their already slim playoff hopes a lot. San Francisco
- 27:12Speaker 2: needs like a calculator full of things that happen to
- 27:15Speaker 2: make it to the postseason. Which one of those things,
- 27:18Speaker 2: at least in terms of the teams playing the game,
- 27:20Speaker 2: do you think happens?
- 27:21Speaker 5: I think Miami wins and by more than one. I
- 27:23Speaker 5: have twenty five, twenty three.
- 27:25Speaker 6: Oh very nice.
- 27:26Speaker 5: I want to show something about brock Party that has
- 27:28Speaker 5: been different this season. Brock Perty was known for being
- 27:31Speaker 5: a great play action passer, and guess what he's still
- 27:34Speaker 5: really good at it, but he just doesn't do it
- 27:36Speaker 5: very often. You're doing it like sub fifteen percent of
- 27:39Speaker 5: the time. That's the lowest in his very long three
- 27:42Speaker 5: season career. However, it is a big deal.
- 27:44Speaker 6: In this one.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Perhaps Kyle Shanahan will dial up a little bit more
- 27:48Speaker 5: of this because the Dolphins defense has been vulnerable to it.
- 27:52Speaker 6: Top three in the league when they do it, But.
- 27:54Speaker 5: The problem is is they haven't reliably done it or
- 27:57Speaker 5: shown that they're going to.
- 27:58Speaker 6: Use play actions. So as good as he is on it,
- 28:01Speaker 6: I don't know why not go to it.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I agree something. I think the Dolphins win this game
- 28:06Speaker 2: as well, but I do think they only went by
- 28:08Speaker 2: one point. My pick is eighteen to seventeen. And it
- 28:11Speaker 2: was Derek Stingley putting on a performance, especially against Tyreek
- 28:15Speaker 2: Hill late in that loss to Houston, that kind of
- 28:18Speaker 2: sealed the deal for the Texans. But look at what
- 28:20Speaker 2: the USA has just been like for Tyreek Hill in
- 28:23Speaker 2: the past few weeks. He had fourteen targets against the
- 28:26Speaker 2: Jets in the overtime win, non targets against the Bengals,
- 28:29Speaker 2: excuse me, against the Green Bay Packers, and then seven
- 28:33Speaker 2: he only caught two of them, but they want to
- 28:35Speaker 2: use Tyreek Hill, and the usage looks a whole lot
- 28:37Speaker 2: better than it did earlier in the season. And Tyreek
- 28:40Speaker 2: the most explosive player potentially in the league for a
- 28:43Speaker 2: long time, and he gets a chance to go out
- 28:45Speaker 2: there and show it against this forty nine ers team. Greg,
- 28:48Speaker 2: Who's yeah, they need a lot of help.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't comfortably pick either of these teams. They've
- 28:54Speaker 3: been disappointing. They're really vibing at six and eight, and
- 28:57Speaker 3: yet I'm happy to take it just Greg on the
- 28:59Speaker 3: forty nine ers because the one thing I can trust
- 29:02Speaker 3: right now as the safety position of the San Francisco
- 29:05Speaker 3: forty nine ers. That's right, Malik Mustafa and Talineo of Hufunga.
- 29:10Speaker 3: They're bringing it back to the nineteen eighties or maybe
- 29:12Speaker 3: the late nineties.
- 29:13Speaker 4: It's a couple of.
- 29:14Speaker 3: John Lynches who are just coming downhills and they're gonna
- 29:17Speaker 3: knock you out.
- 29:18Speaker 4: This Dolphins team doesn't have.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Any run game, and I think this secondary they're not
- 29:23Speaker 3: only hitting, they're playing quite good coverage and I think
- 29:26Speaker 3: they can look at the game plan that Houston put
- 29:29Speaker 3: out there last week. There's a lot of inverted cover two.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Tua had no response for it. They have not been
- 29:36Speaker 3: able to go down the field at all. I'm just
- 29:38Speaker 3: wondering if teams have figured out the Dolphins offense just
- 29:41Speaker 3: a little bit.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Forty nine ers get to win.
- 29:43Speaker 6: I love that you said. I can't comfortably take either
- 29:45Speaker 6: one of these. I'm just gonna give a six point
- 29:47Speaker 6: win out the forty nine er.
- 29:49Speaker 3: I mean, that's what you learn back in like high
- 29:52Speaker 3: school debate club. If you just pick a side, then
- 29:54Speaker 3: just go hard at it, no matter what you think.
- 29:56Speaker 2: There we go a little high school debate lesson for one.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Greg Rosendal's we discussed the forty nine ers and the
- 30:00Speaker 2: Dolphins still to come on our show. There's a new
- 30:02Speaker 2: kid on the block down and at last, Cousins benched.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Michael Penickx Junior was shopping at Costco when he found
- 30:10Speaker 2: out that he was going to be the starting quarterback
- 30:11Speaker 2: for the Falcons.
- 30:13Speaker 5: A lot of NFL stuff happens at Costco.
- 30:15Speaker 2: In DJ's defense, it was right now, and it took
- 30:18Speaker 2: a long time for right now for Ray Morris and
- 30:21Speaker 2: the Falcons to make the decision. Kirk Cousins has been benched.
- 30:24Speaker 2: Now they got the Giants coming up, Michael Pennick Junior
- 30:26Speaker 2: will start. The Falcons still have a path to the playoff.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Does the rookie get a win in his first career start, Cynthia.
- 30:32Speaker 6: I mean yes, I have him with a win.
- 30:34Speaker 5: I have twenty six to seventeen in this matchup, so
- 30:36Speaker 5: a big win. What are going to be the differences
- 30:39Speaker 5: you see with Michael Pennix on the field, Well, Number one,
- 30:41Speaker 5: more mobility, because Kirk Cousins really wasn't very mobile. Number two,
- 30:45Speaker 5: you probably won't see him take many.
- 30:47Speaker 6: Snaps under center.
- 30:48Speaker 5: Why because most of the quarterbacks coming out of college,
- 30:50Speaker 5: they're inexperienced doing so. And his coach this week said
- 30:53Speaker 5: he needs to take some reps with the one, which
- 30:55Speaker 5: leads me to believe he hasn't been working out with
- 30:57Speaker 5: them all season long. And number two, he's a lefty.
- 30:59Speaker 5: That's going to cause some chemistry changes. And maybe they
- 31:02Speaker 5: actually use play action more. Come on, we want play
- 31:05Speaker 5: action passes from this team. We thought we'd see it
- 31:07Speaker 5: from Kirk Cousins. Maybe we see it now we know
- 31:10Speaker 5: there's a good running back there.
- 31:11Speaker 6: Give me some play action.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah, players would be nice. I think it would be
- 31:15Speaker 2: nice simply for Beijon Robinson to not have to carry
- 31:19Speaker 2: the load that he has had to carry for the
- 31:21Speaker 2: Atlanta Falcons during the mid to late part of this season.
- 31:24Speaker 2: You go back, he didn't have a game where he
- 31:27Speaker 2: had more than twenty touches and excuse me, than thirty touches.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And then we get to this matchup against the Chargers
- 31:35Speaker 2: where he carries them all twenty six times for one
- 31:37Speaker 2: hundred and two yards. He catches all six of his targets.
- 31:40Speaker 2: He's had to do so and so very much. In
- 31:42Speaker 2: the last time out it was twenty two carries for
- 31:44Speaker 2: one hundred and twenty five yards five point seven yards
- 31:48Speaker 2: per attempt. And this is with the passing game being
- 31:51Speaker 2: absolutely nil in terms of what they can offer. I
- 31:55Speaker 2: just want to see Bejon with an opportunity to be
- 31:57Speaker 2: successful in so many of these other Falcons as well.
- 31:59Speaker 2: I think they have a win and I think it's
- 32:01Speaker 2: twenty two to twelve, and I think it could be
- 32:02Speaker 2: even better than that.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Wow, Okay, I could see a blowout because Pennix will
- 32:06Speaker 3: be an upgrade over Kirk Cousins, who didn't play as
- 32:10Speaker 3: well as former Falcon great Desmond Ridder last week. But
- 32:13Speaker 3: I actually have the Giants covering this number. The Giants
- 32:15Speaker 3: not getting a lot of respect when you're eight and
- 32:17Speaker 3: a half point dogs against a rookie quarterback and against
- 32:20Speaker 3: a struggling Falcons team. But you know who else isn't
- 32:23Speaker 3: getting respect? The Falcons defense. I see you last three
- 32:26Speaker 3: weeks since the bye they've.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Been better Raheem Morris.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I don't know what he did during that bye week,
- 32:32Speaker 3: but they started getting some sacks. They got pressure on
- 32:35Speaker 3: Justin Herbert, they got a lot of pressure on Sam Darnold.
- 32:38Speaker 3: And I know that game went sideways in the fourth quarter,
- 32:41Speaker 3: but I blame their offense for turning the ball over
- 32:44Speaker 3: and just keep giving the ball back.
- 32:46Speaker 4: And then once again, the defense got the job done.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Against the Raiders, this is a similar matchup where they
- 32:51Speaker 3: just need their defense to take control. They're playing better
- 32:54Speaker 3: enough to win this game, but not to cover eight
- 32:56Speaker 3: in a half.
- 32:57Speaker 4: That that's too rich for.
- 32:58Speaker 2: My blof Well, either way, they'll be able to potentially
- 33:00Speaker 2: win this game, as we have all picked, and then
- 33:02Speaker 2: sit back and put all some cowboys and cheer for
- 33:05Speaker 2: Dallas in that game against the Buccaneers. Let's get some
- 33:07Speaker 2: more quick picks here. On game debut, the Browns and
- 33:10Speaker 2: the Bengals. Jamis benched earlier this week for dtr who
- 33:14Speaker 2: will start for Cleveland, but ultimately doesn't matter.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Cynthia No, I mean, here's my pulse up that Cincinnati's
- 33:20Speaker 5: still alive, barely twenty nine to twenty. I think they
- 33:23Speaker 5: win this one. I just want to talk about Joe Burrow.
- 33:26Speaker 5: This week, there was like a bunch of you know
- 33:28Speaker 5: things being like what happened with your coach?
- 33:29Speaker 6: And when you're looking at Joe Burrow, he just wants
- 33:31Speaker 6: to win. Man.
- 33:32Speaker 5: He's had so many games in a row where he's
- 33:34Speaker 5: had multiple passing touchdowns.
- 33:36Speaker 6: He's doing everything.
- 33:37Speaker 5: This team is currently setting franchise records for a number
- 33:40Speaker 5: of points per game and yards per game, and he
- 33:43Speaker 5: needs to keep that going. And Joe Burrows not the problem,
- 33:46Speaker 5: ladies and gentlemen. It is not Joe Burrow. So I
- 33:48Speaker 5: just want to say, like, if he's passionate on the sideline, great,
- 33:53Speaker 5: not what's wrong.
- 33:54Speaker 6: It's great. The man hates losing, fine by me.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Yeah. The vibes are immaculate for the offense, specifically because
- 34:01Speaker 2: he got the entire offensive line like historical katan us,
- 34:04Speaker 2: with each a connection to special places in Japan is
- 34:08Speaker 2: what Joe Burrow's a man of culture. Would go to
- 34:10Speaker 2: the Titans who lost to Joe Burrow in company we
- 34:12Speaker 2: can go and the Colts, who they've got another bench
- 34:16Speaker 2: quarterback in this one, Will Levis for Mason. Rudolph indeed
- 34:19Speaker 2: needs a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, and
- 34:21Speaker 2: I think they get it with a score of twenty
- 34:23Speaker 2: four to thirteen. As well as Greg and Cynthia feel
- 34:27Speaker 2: like the Colts get a win here as well. I
- 34:30Speaker 2: think that Jonathan Taylor bounces back from his goalline mistake.
- 34:34Speaker 2: Anthony Richardson played so well at the start of that game.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Maybe a consistent performance by the Colts after kind of
- 34:42Speaker 2: losing their season late against the Denver Broncos last week.
- 34:46Speaker 5: We're all picking against Rudolph on Christmas.
- 34:48Speaker 2: Though it's a tough one.
- 34:50Speaker 6: Dad jokes jokes.
- 34:52Speaker 2: We've got multiple reindeer on their Mason, So it's not
- 34:55Speaker 2: just you Jags in the Raiders in Vegas. What happens
- 34:59Speaker 2: to this battle?
- 35:00Speaker 3: Greg, Okay, I've been seeing a lot of disrespect mister
- 35:04Speaker 3: Claybun this week because he knew this pick. Raiders. I
- 35:07Speaker 3: believe in you. You're gonna win this game. Thirteen to eleven.
- 35:10Speaker 3: You're gonna waste your chance at the number one overall pick.
- 35:13Speaker 3: And you're gonna do it because I see a team
- 35:14Speaker 3: that's still playing hard. I don't know if that's true
- 35:16Speaker 3: about the Jaguars. I also see a team with the
- 35:19Speaker 3: offensive rookie of.
- 35:20Speaker 4: The year here at brock Bowers. What an incredible young
- 35:24Speaker 4: player this kid is.
- 35:26Speaker 3: And you can say, oh, does Desmond Ridder like he's
- 35:30Speaker 3: their starting quarterback, like he's any worse than Mac Jones.
- 35:32Speaker 3: No way, brock Bowers is gonna make Desmond Ridder look
- 35:35Speaker 3: like Kenny Stabler, and they're gonna go out there and
- 35:37Speaker 3: they're gonna get a win for Antoni Appierce, because I
- 35:39Speaker 3: know a team when I see it that's playing hard.
- 35:41Speaker 4: And they're playing hard, Cynthia.
- 35:42Speaker 6: But Max Crosby's not playing Do.
- 35:44Speaker 3: You know that that's true? I mean, what if the
- 35:46Speaker 3: Jaguar has done that? Make you guys so confident in
- 35:49Speaker 3: the Jackars.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I just love the passionate speech.
- 35:50Speaker 4: I know about the fire.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Of the Raiders. They're gonna get thirteen.
- 35:53Speaker 3: They're playing hard, They're gonna get another win here, Jack
- 35:56Speaker 3: wars so.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Hard, thirteen whole points.
- 35:59Speaker 2: It's a Grinding thirteen. When we come back, we're giving
- 36:01Speaker 2: you some of the favorite prop bets that we have
- 36:03Speaker 2: for week six and grab a pin in a pad.
- 36:05Speaker 2: Simthay has been on fire three weeks in a row.
- 36:08Speaker 2: She cannot be stopped. Really no, because this pick is
- 36:12Speaker 2: gonna be correct as well. I'll say that. Find out
- 36:15Speaker 2: what it is when we come back on game debut
- 36:21Speaker 2: Sunday at nine am Eastern. Rich Eyes and Kurt Warner,
- 36:23Speaker 2: Steve Mariucci and Siddy and Freeland and the rest of
- 36:27Speaker 2: the crew get you set for kickoff with NFL Game
- 36:29Speaker 2: Day Morning, Kyle Brandt sits down with Wahington Commander's quarterback
- 36:32Speaker 2: jayde Daniels plus the guys. We'll discuss if the injuries
- 36:35Speaker 2: will derail a Lions run to the Super Bowl, all
- 36:38Speaker 2: that and more Sunday at nine a m. Eastern. But
- 36:41Speaker 2: it's time for us to get you to write some
- 36:44Speaker 2: things down as we make some predictions for Week sixteen.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Start us off, Greg, I am gonna start by returning
- 36:49Speaker 3: to the Lions. I couldn't believe that the team total
- 36:52Speaker 3: and that's if you pick one team and just their score.
- 36:56Speaker 3: The Lions are at twenty seven and a half against
- 36:58Speaker 3: this Bears defense, the way they're playing against good defenses,
- 37:02Speaker 3: they score over twenty seven a half, so I love that.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I'm going to combine that with Demir Gibbs over ninety
- 37:07Speaker 3: and a half rushing yards. Patrick mentioned the explosive place
- 37:11Speaker 3: he might get over ninety and a half in one
- 37:12Speaker 3: play if they get the field position for it.
- 37:15Speaker 4: Let's go Lions. This is an easy one.
- 37:17Speaker 5: Well, I kind of took a hard one because I
- 37:19Speaker 5: didn't realize that I had won three in a row.
- 37:20Speaker 6: But hey, let's go Trey McBride, who hasn't been to
- 37:23Speaker 6: the end zone yet.
- 37:24Speaker 5: He scores this week against the Panthers. Why because the
- 37:27Speaker 5: Panthers have allowed both the most receiving touchdowns at twenty
- 37:30Speaker 5: seven and the most touchdowns two tight ends at ten,
- 37:33Speaker 5: and this guy is do the yards, the receptions, they're
- 37:36Speaker 5: all there.
- 37:37Speaker 6: I love this for Trey McBride and for me obviously.
- 37:40Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, I will take a due player as well,
- 37:42Speaker 2: because Deepot Samuel is so close to going out. There
- 37:45Speaker 2: was the drop in the game a couple of weeks ago.
- 37:48Speaker 2: The offense has really struggled coming from behind as well.
- 37:51Speaker 2: But I think Deebo Samuel gets over forty two and
- 37:53Speaker 2: a half receiving yards against the Dolphins. And because this
- 37:56Speaker 2: is the only segment where I have a lead this
- 37:59Speaker 2: season over Greg and Cynthia and Greg's making multiple picks,
- 38:01Speaker 2: I'll also.
- 38:02Speaker 4: Take oh wow, getting.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Over sixteen and a half points against the Buffalo Bills,
- 38:07Speaker 2: because I'm not going to sit on this area.
- 38:09Speaker 4: Are you combining yours?
- 38:10Speaker 3: We need to get standings next week so Patrick can
- 38:13Speaker 3: get his flowers.
- 38:14Speaker 2: No, we don't, We don't. My flowers are being on
- 38:17Speaker 2: the show. Great, And have you guys watching? Thanks for
