- 0:28Speaker 1: It is time leave your worries outside and laugh with
- 0:32Speaker 1: us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley, along with Trade
- 0:35Speaker 1: Trendholm and Raj Sharma. Today is Tuesday, March fourth, twenty
- 0:43Speaker 1: twenty five. In an act that brings my elementary school
- 0:50Speaker 1: self into the twenty first century, news has come out
- 0:57Speaker 1: that apparently dysentery is on the rise in Oregon.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Of all the things, of all the things, is there
- 1:17Speaker 2: a root cause.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Bacteria?
- 1:22Speaker 4: All right?
- 1:23Speaker 5: I walked into that one.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 1: In a disgusting turn of events straight out of the
- 1:28Speaker 1: video game we all grew up on Oregon Trail, the
- 1:32Speaker 1: diarrhea inducing malady dysentery is making a stomach turning comeback
- 1:38Speaker 1: in the densely populated region of Oregon. Cases of the
- 1:43Speaker 1: hyper contagious bacterial disease have surged in Moltnomah County, with
- 1:50Speaker 1: health officials reporting forty cases of the sickness in January.
- 1:56Speaker 1: The infection also known as I have never heard of
- 1:58Speaker 1: this before, so I'm probably not going to pronounce it
- 2:00Speaker 1: properly sugarlosis, which sounds like someone's DJ name, yeah, or
- 2:16Speaker 1: my new favorite character and a Shakespeare reboot or a
- 2:24Speaker 1: a Roman gladiator we didn't know about till just now.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Sugarlosis. I feel like I could do a handful of these. Uh.
- 2:36Speaker 1: The infection, also known as shugaalosis, can spread through exposure
- 2:42Speaker 1: with infected feces, contaminated food or water, or sexual contact
- 2:47Speaker 1: with person to person, the most common form of transmission.
- 2:50Speaker 1: That's according to the CDC. That is, if you believe
- 2:53Speaker 1: what the CDC has to say about diseases and things.
- 2:56Speaker 1: If you don't, then you know what, do whatever the
- 2:58Speaker 1: hell you want.
- 2:59Speaker 3: Just stay out of my bathroom. I thought, what is
- 3:03Speaker 3: it trey?
- 3:04Speaker 2: I thought dysentery was like caused by an amoeba or
- 3:07Speaker 2: something parasite.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Oh officials said fifty six percent of the most recent
- 3:16Speaker 1: cluster are believed to be among the homeless, with other
- 3:19Speaker 1: cases linked to methamphetamine or opiate usage. There you go
- 3:24Speaker 1: blame the homeless, they say. When you don't have housing,
- 3:28Speaker 1: it's harder to prevent infectious disease and harder to access
- 3:30Speaker 1: care to treat disease compared to if you are housed.
- 3:34Speaker 3: That's according to the Health Agency.
- 3:36Speaker 1: The rise in shagella cases over recent years is concerning
- 3:40Speaker 1: and is a result of multiple pathways of transmission.
- 3:43Speaker 3: That's according to the public health officials.
- 3:45Speaker 5: In Oregon, Shigella would be the DJ name.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you're right, DJ Shagela. Strains of the infection
- 3:56Speaker 1: circulating an Oregon are resistant to various forms if antibiotics
- 4:01Speaker 1: or antibiotics, if you want to say it properly, with
- 4:04Speaker 1: patients also experiencing fever, vomiting, and cramps. So you know,
- 4:09Speaker 1: if you want to raise the roof with DJ Shagela,
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's how you do it. But it's the homeless that
- 4:15Speaker 1: are being affected right predominantly. But I mean, if we're
- 4:20Speaker 1: being honest, it can jump. I mean, if you use
- 4:25Speaker 1: the same toilet as a homeless person, you're using an outhouse,
- 4:32Speaker 1: or if you get a little too handsy while panhandling
- 4:35Speaker 1: or offering money to homeless people, I guess you could
- 4:40Speaker 1: be infected. Officials have not found evidence of the more
- 4:45Speaker 1: severe strain that can often lead to death, so there
- 4:49Speaker 1: is some good news.
- 4:53Speaker 3: This one won't kill you, not necessarily.
- 4:57Speaker 2: No.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Apparently, cases of yentery have been on the rise in
- 5:01Speaker 1: Oregon since twenty twelve, with an elevated spike of one
- 5:08Speaker 1: hundred and fifty eight infections in twenty twenty four. Data
- 5:12Speaker 1: shows thirty five dysentery cases were reported in December compared
- 5:17Speaker 1: to the three recorded in July, So clearly there's an
- 5:20Speaker 1: upward trend of dysentery in the state of Oregon. I
- 5:29Speaker 1: got a tourism I guess probably not. I gotta say, though, Man,
- 5:38Speaker 1: the twenty first century is really really fascinating. I mean,
- 5:43Speaker 1: we were all worried about Y two K, but we
- 5:45Speaker 1: had no idea when the turn of the century happened
- 5:49Speaker 1: that we'd be talking about dysentery and measles as actual
- 5:54Speaker 1: things that might infect and harm you.
- 5:57Speaker 5: But here we are.
- 5:59Speaker 6: Yeah, measles in Texas and dysenterian Oregon. Yeh, can't wait
- 6:07Speaker 6: to see what happens to Nevada.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Apparently, what is it, tray, Oh, it's what's going to
- 6:15Speaker 2: happen to Florida that we really need to be concerned about.
- 6:18Speaker 1: We're gonna get into Florida today because they've got some
- 6:23Speaker 1: stuff going on that is truly fascinating on their own.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But yeah, so in case.
- 6:30Speaker 5: You uh.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Weren't aware, dysentery is on the rise in Oregon. So
- 6:36Speaker 1: all that time playing the computer game and the computer
- 6:39Speaker 1: lab as kids.
- 6:41Speaker 3: It's coming to life.
- 6:43Speaker 1: So be careful if you're traveling to Oregon or if
- 6:47Speaker 1: you're trying to ford a river.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I like with Oregon, it's like there's a you know,
- 6:51Speaker 2: an infected hackey sack somewhere.
- 6:56Speaker 3: It's probably what it is. Someone's doing.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Butterfly kisses with with a dirty hacky said.
- 7:08Speaker 7: You're in the treehouse, visit us online.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Let's get Daniel Cook from Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration
- 7:20Speaker 1: into the treehouse. Now, Daniel, we're going into rainy season
- 7:24Speaker 1: and that means lots of people are going to have
- 7:26Speaker 1: issues with water and drainage in and around it on
- 7:30Speaker 1: the house. And while you are primarily a roofing company,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you also do work around the people's homes every single day.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So you guys can actually help with some of this
- 7:41Speaker 1: water that's going to be, you know, coming down very
- 7:44Speaker 1: very soon.
- 7:45Speaker 8: Water is a number one cause for a lot of
- 7:47Speaker 8: damages to people's homes and property, and so the way
- 7:50Speaker 8: that you filter water away from your home, away from
- 7:52Speaker 8: the foundation, away from the sides, it's super critical. Make
- 7:57Speaker 8: sure you walk around your home, make sure you don't
- 7:59Speaker 8: have standing water, make sure that when the water goes
- 8:02Speaker 8: down your gutters it's running out properly. It's not running
- 8:04Speaker 8: right next to your foundation because now it's wet. But
- 8:07Speaker 8: let's say we're in July and August and it starts
- 8:09Speaker 8: to your soul, starts cracking up. Well, all that water
- 8:12Speaker 8: and all that you know, drainage that you put in
- 8:14Speaker 8: near your foundation is gonna soak out of that. So
- 8:16Speaker 8: it's going to force your slab to move.
- 8:18Speaker 5: And so drainage and.
- 8:20Speaker 8: Water is the number one thing to keep your home
- 8:23Speaker 8: very stable and without foundation issues.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Yeah, and let Daniel and his team come out take
- 8:28Speaker 1: a look around your property and see any concerns that
- 8:32Speaker 1: you think you may have, but also get their expert
- 8:35Speaker 1: eyes on your property as well, so maybe they can
- 8:38Speaker 1: point out some things that you may not see because
- 8:40Speaker 1: you don't do this every day like Daniel and his
- 8:42Speaker 1: team do. So call Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration today
- 8:46Speaker 1: eight three three Cook DFW eight three three Cook DFW

- 9:48Speaker 1: I'm danil Mally along with Trade Trenholm and Raj Sharma,
- 9:51Speaker 1: and we've got today a website put together the top
- 9:55Speaker 1: one hundred unhealthiest foods on the planet. I have to
- 10:01Speaker 1: admit I was a little surprised by this because I
- 10:04Speaker 1: was looking forward to some recipes and instead it's basically
- 10:07Speaker 1: just a bunch of food items that you should just
- 10:10Speaker 1: be careful that you eat.
- 10:12Speaker 3: But I guess it's good to have a.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Perspective of the things that you're shoving into your face,
- 10:16Speaker 1: you know. So according to this website, top one hundred
- 10:20Speaker 1: unhealthiest foods on the planet. The top ten. Number ten cake,
- 10:26Speaker 1: number nine ice cream. Put the two together and now
- 10:30Speaker 1: you got a party. N eight donuts, number seven. I'm
- 10:37Speaker 1: surprised by number seven microwave popcorn. I have not looked
- 10:42Speaker 1: at the nutrition info on the box or a pouch
- 10:45Speaker 1: of microwave popcorn, but I have a hard time believing
- 10:48Speaker 1: that microwave popcorn is unhealthier compared to donuts, ice cream,
- 10:53Speaker 1: and cake.
- 10:56Speaker 6: Synthetic mutter lots of sodium, ye, and then it's microwaved,
- 11:04Speaker 6: so it's not that's not healthy for you, you.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Know what, though, I mean, as far as all the
- 11:09Speaker 1: things I track, as far as trying to eat healthy,
- 11:13Speaker 1: sodium is near the bottom of the list, and so
- 11:15Speaker 1: far I'm fine. Okay, you'll know what I'm not. But
- 11:22Speaker 1: until then, sodium is low on my list of concerns.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Number six of the top ten unhealthiest foods on the planet,
- 11:31Speaker 1: cookies had the two chips of Hoy cookies last night.
- 11:36Speaker 3: It was quite delicious.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Number five fast food burgers, No surprise there. Number four
- 11:43Speaker 1: French fries. Oh yeah, you know the fries are gonna
- 11:47Speaker 1: be ahead of the burgers. Number three processed meats like
- 11:50Speaker 1: bacon and hot dogs or we all know like hot
- 11:57Speaker 1: dogs and processed meats, they're not so be good for you.
- 12:01Speaker 4: Uh.
- 12:01Speaker 1: In trying to do a little research as to why
- 12:04Speaker 1: it's the scary word that starts with an inn.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Nitrates not the other.
- 12:09Speaker 1: One night it's like nitrates and nitrites. I don't I
- 12:16Speaker 1: don't know the difference. It's like stalag mites and stalagon tites.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't know which one's up or down whatever. Number
- 12:24Speaker 1: two white bread seems a little racist, but.
- 12:31Speaker 5: I don't know anybody that still eats white bread. I
- 12:36Speaker 5: don't either.
- 12:37Speaker 1: That's a good point, right, It's like whole grain or wheat,
- 12:41Speaker 1: whole grain, wheat sourdough. I mean, there's so many better
- 12:44Speaker 1: options out there. I think the closest I've gotten to
- 12:46Speaker 1: regular white bread is iron kids.
- 12:49Speaker 5: I mean, wouldn't sourdough be white bread?
- 12:56Speaker 3: I guess it depends on what you put in it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Number one, according to a website that put together the
- 13:05Speaker 1: Unhealthiest foods on the planet.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Potato chips.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Oh, those my favorite.
- 13:10Speaker 1: They say potato chips are the unhealthiest food on the planet,
- 13:15Speaker 1: which is sad because they're delicious and you you know,
- 13:19Speaker 1: it just depends on how you make them?
- 13:23Speaker 5: Oh, and the hellmout you eat?
- 13:26Speaker 6: Just do the serving, Like when it says like thirteen chips,
- 13:29Speaker 6: just count out your thirteen chips.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Yeah you don't.
- 13:33Speaker 1: You don't want to see me, uh qualifying what constituted
- 13:37Speaker 1: as a chip or a serving because if because there
- 13:43Speaker 1: are chips in a bag that my wife calls dan chips,
- 13:47Speaker 1: Like there's a regular potato chip that looks like a
- 13:49Speaker 1: normal slice of potato, but I like the ones that
- 13:51Speaker 1: are folded over because that way you get like extra crunch.
- 13:57Speaker 1: That technically is one chip, but in my mind that's
- 14:00Speaker 1: a half chip because it's folded in a half.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 5: There's no science going behind your Oh no no, no, no.
- 14:08Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, this is there is absolutely zero
- 14:11Speaker 1: science behind that.
- 14:11Speaker 3: It's pure emotion, eating feelings.
- 14:14Speaker 5: I'm really curious because.
- 14:18Speaker 2: One thing is left off this list that usually involves
- 14:22Speaker 2: at least two of the things that are on the
- 14:24Speaker 2: top ten list, and those are well white bread and
- 14:28Speaker 2: processed meats in pizza.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Ooh that's a good point. Yeah, that must mean pizza
- 14:38Speaker 3: is healthy. This is great news.
- 14:43Speaker 5: CC's for everybody.
- 14:46Speaker 3: What are all what are you guys doing here lowering
- 14:49Speaker 3: our cholesterol?
- 14:50Speaker 5: Are you so?
- 14:52Speaker 3: Yeah, there you have it.
- 14:53Speaker 1: The website put together the top one hundred unhealthiest foods
- 14:57Speaker 1: on the planet. And I was just pointed with the
- 15:00Speaker 1: list because I really was hoping for I was hoping
- 15:03Speaker 1: for some recipes. I get some good ideas on new
- 15:06Speaker 1: combos that I can make, you know, for a cheap meal.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But oh well, Plus with a website name like eatthi
- 15:13Speaker 1: dot com. That's the website, by the way, the website
- 15:17Speaker 1: that put together the list of one hundred unhealthiest foods
- 15:20Speaker 1: eat this dot com. And with a name like that,
- 15:23Speaker 1: we were hoping for more than a bag of chips.
- 15:25Speaker 5: I was going to say, you weren't expecting a food list,
- 15:27Speaker 5: were you, Dan?
- 15:28Speaker 3: I was not. I've been hoodwinked.
- 15:39Speaker 7: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.

- 16:11Speaker 5: Must reach it when the laughter stops.
- 16:12Speaker 8: Suddenly, kind a sound behind me made me turn around.

- 17:28Speaker 1: guys are getting on your phones?
- 17:31Speaker 5: Oh, we might be losing a pope.
- 17:34Speaker 6: And Pope Francis had two episodes of acute respiratory failure.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Man, he's really stretching this thing out. It was a
- 17:44Speaker 1: couple of days ago I saw that they were putting
- 17:46Speaker 1: him on a breathing machine. It's like, why are you
- 17:48Speaker 1: putting the pope on a breathing machine? Isn't he supposed
- 17:50Speaker 1: to be excited for this and welcoming it with open arms.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I mean, if anyone should be excited to die, it
- 17:55Speaker 1: should be the Pope because he finally gets to meet
- 17:57Speaker 1: the dudes he's been talking to one for all his life.
- 18:02Speaker 5: That's a solid point. I never thought of it like that.
- 18:05Speaker 1: Also, you're, oh, why are you putting him on a
- 18:06Speaker 1: breathing machine. I'm not saying you should kill the Pope.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I'm just because that's bad. I'm just saying that if
- 18:12Speaker 1: natural things seem to be happening leading to his death,
- 18:17Speaker 1: isn't that like a huge tenet of the church that
- 18:20Speaker 1: you're supposed to be kind of excited to die and
- 18:25Speaker 1: go to heaven.
- 18:27Speaker 6: We get reincarnated. So I don't know how excited we
- 18:29Speaker 6: are about death. We're just coming right back.
- 18:33Speaker 1: So as Hindus m is, there is there not a waiting.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Room for you, I don't think so.
- 18:41Speaker 3: I don't know how you die.
- 18:42Speaker 1: And then as soon as it's like, I don't know,
- 18:45Speaker 1: there's no in between time, there's no limbo, there's no
- 18:49Speaker 1: uh you know, no, I think you just urgatory, your
- 18:53Speaker 1: soul moves on and you.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Go into the next form. I believe that's how.
- 18:59Speaker 1: That immediately like, you don't you can't even get like
- 19:01Speaker 1: an ethereal cup of coffee, a minute to catch your breath.
- 19:04Speaker 1: I mean, what happened, Like what if you just got
- 19:06Speaker 1: run over by a truck and boom you're dead and
- 19:09Speaker 1: then you get to you know, the afterlife. I mean,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I ain't even meant it before you send me back.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I need to process some stuff. But instead you get
- 19:16Speaker 1: hit by a truck. The next thing you know, you're
- 19:18Speaker 1: shooting right back out into the world.
- 19:20Speaker 5: Yeah, but you don't. You don't recall anything from from
- 19:23Speaker 5: the truck, do the just the news? Of course you don't.
- 19:26Speaker 5: You don't have time. You get sent right back.
- 19:30Speaker 6: It's not like you would forget it, but I think
- 19:33Speaker 6: they kind of, you know, wash away the memories of
- 19:36Speaker 6: the past life.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's one of the things that's always fascinated me about
- 19:39Speaker 1: the idea of reincarnation is that, especially with the Hindu religion,
- 19:43Speaker 1: is that And please tell me if I've screwed this up.
- 19:47Speaker 3: But you live your life, you're supposed.
- 19:49Speaker 1: To do good and be a good person, and if
- 19:52Speaker 1: you are, when you are reincarnated, you come back as
- 19:56Speaker 1: a better form or a You're supposed to improve your
- 20:02Speaker 1: station in the next life by living a good life
- 20:04Speaker 1: in this one, right, and if you don't, then you
- 20:06Speaker 1: come back as like a roach or a dung beetle.
- 20:11Speaker 6: I mean, it's based on it's your karma points, right,
- 20:15Speaker 6: So that's what it is.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Good karma, bad karma.
- 20:18Speaker 1: So who's in who's in charge of the points?
- 20:20Speaker 6: I don't know. I don't know who's keeping score. I'd
- 20:25Speaker 6: like them meet them then and see where I'm at.
- 20:29Speaker 6: But it's good karma, bad karma, and then like you
- 20:32Speaker 6: have to come back two basically deplete the bad karma.
- 20:39Speaker 6: So you that's why you keep coming back, is you
- 20:42Speaker 6: still have bad karma?
- 20:43Speaker 4: In the loop.
- 20:44Speaker 3: This really is like a video game.
- 20:46Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 20:47Speaker 1: You reach a certain level, then you died, and you
- 20:48Speaker 1: come back and pick back up where you left off.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yes, is the.
- 20:56Speaker 5: Duism is the xbox of religions.
- 21:02Speaker 1: All right, so, uh, you're getting alerts on your phones.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The pope looks like he is on the precipice of
- 21:09Speaker 1: going to heaven.
- 21:10Speaker 3: We'll say that.
- 21:11Speaker 1: How about that, which means we get we get to
- 21:15Speaker 1: stare at smoke for a while.
- 21:16Speaker 5: Yeah, good old conclave. Mm hmm. Figure out who the
- 21:22Speaker 5: next dude is.
- 21:26Speaker 1: That's that's right, roj. That's that's what the Roman Catholic
- 21:29Speaker 1: religion is like. Pope is just fancy speaker dude.
- 21:34Speaker 5: He's a cool dude. He's got he's got nice digs.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I like it.
- 21:38Speaker 1: I read somewhere the other day that the farm I think,
- 21:41Speaker 1: the former archbishop of the Dallas diocese is high ranking,
- 21:47Speaker 1: and that he may be the Consiglieri of the conclave.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I don't I know that's not the name, but there's
- 21:53Speaker 3: another c word for it.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Not that one.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Trey the actual name for the pope who kind of
- 21:59Speaker 3: runs the conc.
- 22:01Speaker 2: But I've heard that that guy's what's that the cardinal
- 22:05Speaker 2: who runs the conclave.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Okay, I think there's another name, like a fancier sounding
- 22:10Speaker 1: title that sounds like Consiglieri, the guy that oversees the
- 22:14Speaker 1: conclave for you know, deciding who the new pope's supposed
- 22:18Speaker 1: to be. But anyway that's supposed to be, you know,
- 22:21Speaker 1: like a Texas connection. Is this guy that used to
- 22:23Speaker 1: run Dallas is now high ranking in the church, and
- 22:26Speaker 1: that I guess you move up a couple of spots
- 22:30Speaker 1: when the pope kicks Carma Lingo. That's it, Carma Lingo.
- 22:34Speaker 1: See it sounds a little bit like conslicuely here, so you.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Got carme Lingo's white smoke, dark smoke.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I remember back when Pope John Paul the Second passed away,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and it was after him that we got Benny, right, Yeah,
- 22:50Speaker 1: he was like seventeen, Benedict seventeen.
- 22:52Speaker 5: Or something something like that.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Yeah, and then after him then we got Francis, who
- 22:56Speaker 1: we have now. So okay, so that's all the popes
- 22:59Speaker 1: in my lifetime. John the Second, Benedict the teen something,
- 23:05Speaker 1: Francis the teen something, and whoever the next guy will
- 23:08Speaker 1: inevitably be.
- 23:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be interesting because I mean, did you ever
- 23:18Speaker 2: see the movie The Two Popes.
- 23:22Speaker 3: I did not what websites? Are you going to.
- 23:26Speaker 5: Two popes one cup?
- 23:28Speaker 3: No, No, it's a Chalice's.
- 23:31Speaker 2: It was a fascinating because you have to understand Benedict,
- 23:38Speaker 2: you know, John Paul the second was at some points
- 23:40Speaker 2: considered progressive, some not.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Benedict was very conservative.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Francis was very liberal as far as popes go, and
- 23:51Speaker 2: but when Benedict retired, Francis was his choice. And it
- 23:55Speaker 2: talks about the story about how they they became friends
- 23:57Speaker 2: and although they really fundamentally agreed on a lot of things.
- 24:01Speaker 2: But uh, Anthony Hopkins, I forgot the other one. But
- 24:04Speaker 2: great movie.
- 24:05Speaker 5: Uh.
- 24:05Speaker 2: And The Conclave, which was for an Academy Award on Sunday,
- 24:10Speaker 2: also very very good.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I've seen that. I think that has uh is it
- 24:13Speaker 1: ray fined in? The Conclave?
- 24:16Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 24:17Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know anything about it, but the
- 24:18Speaker 3: title tells me everything I should know. It's it's a
- 24:20Speaker 3: it's a papal conclave.
- 24:22Speaker 6: So that's, I think, is what you get at the gynecologist. Uh,
- 24:32Speaker 6: that's a Paples mayor.
- 24:38Speaker 1: There are a number of jokes that I'm not going
- 24:40Speaker 1: to say right now. I just want that stated for
- 24:43Speaker 1: the record.
- 24:43Speaker 3: Thank you very much.
- 24:49Speaker 9: You're listening to the tree House.
- 24:51Speaker 10: Visit us online at Treehouse on Air dot com.
- 24:59Speaker 7: M you're in the Treehouse. Visit us online at treehouseonair
- 25:16Speaker 7: dot com.
- 25:18Speaker 1: It is time to advertise inside the Treehouse. Sponsorship opportunities
- 25:22Speaker 1: are available if you're interested to shoot us an email
- 25:24Speaker 1: Treehouse on Air at gmail dot com. That's Treehouse on
- 25:28Speaker 1: Air at gmail dot com to advertise right here inside
- 25:33Speaker 1: the Treehouse. Daniel Malley along with Trey Trenholm and Raj
- 25:36Speaker 1: Sharma talking about the Pope uh near death.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Trey, what was it you were telling Raj in the break.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Raj, if you ever want a really good conspiracy theory,
- 25:44Speaker 2: rabbit hole to go down, go down the Black Pope
- 25:49Speaker 2: conspiracy theory.
- 25:51Speaker 5: Okay, I'm excited about this.
- 25:53Speaker 3: The Black Pope.
- 25:55Speaker 5: Mm hmm.
- 25:56Speaker 3: Is that a new Kevin Hart movie.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Starring The Rock and Kevin.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah, The Black Pope starring Kevin Hart and Dwayne the
- 26:09Speaker 1: Rock Johnson, as is Carmelingo. I feel like I've heard
- 26:13Speaker 1: this term before, Trey, what is the Black Pope?
- 26:16Speaker 2: So there's a conspiracy theory that the white Pope or
- 26:21Speaker 2: the one the the the one that we see is
- 26:24Speaker 2: publicly known as the Pontiff is literally just kind of
- 26:28Speaker 2: a figurehead, and that the Jesuit Order has a black
- 26:31Speaker 2: pope that is the one that behind the scenes is
- 26:34Speaker 2: secretly really running the Vatican.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Is this a trap? I feel like John Wiley Price.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Is gonna pop out of the uh is gonna pop
- 26:41Speaker 1: out us somewhere and go, what do you mean black pope?
- 26:46Speaker 5: I can get behind him.
- 26:47Speaker 6: I mean that sounded terrible, but I could get on
- 26:50Speaker 6: board with a black Pope.
- 26:53Speaker 2: It's it's a it's a great conspiracy about you know.
- 26:56Speaker 2: It's kind of like there's the deep state of the Vatican.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Is that there's there's a whole other group running, really
- 27:02Speaker 2: running things.
- 27:04Speaker 6: I don't I don't know if that's necessarily because if
- 27:06Speaker 6: there was a black Pope, the music would be far different.
- 27:11Speaker 5: It just be so much better.
- 27:13Speaker 1: So instead of the Deep State, it would be the
- 27:16Speaker 1: deep Church. Okay, I mean I'm asking questions here.
- 27:21Speaker 5: I mean, the Vatican is its own country.
- 27:24Speaker 3: It's true.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I feel like there's is there a movie or something
- 27:29Speaker 1: that that talked about. Maybe it's The Three Musketeers where
- 27:34Speaker 1: it talks about the Catholic Church, the Roman Catholic Church
- 27:38Speaker 1: having its own sort of enforcement, secret, clandestine group, sort
- 27:45Speaker 1: of like the Catholic Church's version of the Cia or six.
- 27:52Speaker 5: They have their own everything. It's the Swiss Army is
- 27:58Speaker 5: the one who guards the Vatican.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Yeah, there's the people basically secret service, you know, it's yeah.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I mean one of the great mysteries of the world
- 28:11Speaker 2: is what's in the Vatican basement?
- 28:13Speaker 5: Mh.
- 28:15Speaker 2: What what have they been covering? What do they know
- 28:17Speaker 2: that we don't know that they have been covering up? Oh,
- 28:21Speaker 2: all of it, all of it, because you you have
- 28:26Speaker 2: to like it would be the greatest threat to the Vatican.
- 28:33Speaker 2: I mean, if they had evidence of a U of UFOs.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yes, that's what I was going to say, of.
- 28:43Speaker 2: History or civilization that goes beyond the dates and times
- 28:46Speaker 2: of the Bible.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Although it.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Didn't wouldn't have to conflict with it. But for the
- 28:54Speaker 2: majority of people, it would cause them to really question
- 28:57Speaker 2: their faith. Questioning of faith means to questioning of donations,
- 29:01Speaker 2: which means lack of income, which means.
- 29:04Speaker 3: You know, no more pointy hats, you know.
- 29:06Speaker 5: They they might have to scale down the Pope mobile.
- 29:10Speaker 3: H might be more like a pope rickshaw. Yeah, or
- 29:18Speaker 3: the pope.
- 29:19Speaker 1: How cool would it be though, if you're a lift
- 29:20Speaker 1: driver and you pick up the.
- 29:22Speaker 2: Pope one of the bill got repossessed.
- 29:29Speaker 6: What if it's just one of those like bird scooters,
- 29:32Speaker 6: like that's all, that's all they can afford. Now it
- 29:34Speaker 6: was just a chargeable scooter, you know what.
- 29:37Speaker 1: I think The pope going around on a segue, I
- 29:40Speaker 1: think that's very Italian, or a moped, the Pope going
- 29:47Speaker 1: through all going through town.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Saying chow, I had to very nice that he is reference,
- 29:59Speaker 3: thank you. Now, you're right, Tream.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I'm fascinated by any sort of you know, people conspiracies,
- 30:07Speaker 1: the idea that they have their own secret agents and
- 30:10Speaker 1: what is it they're possibly hiding. And you're right, if
- 30:13Speaker 1: they are hiding anything, it's going to be something that
- 30:16Speaker 1: would turn religion, at least the Roman Catholic religion on
- 30:21Speaker 1: its head and make all of its people question everything
- 30:27Speaker 1: that the church has told them for centuries. And so, yeah,
- 30:31Speaker 1: I think it makes sense that it could be aliens
- 30:33Speaker 1: or yeah, I'm just gonna go with aliens. I think
- 30:38Speaker 1: that I think that's probably the big one. But you know,
- 30:41Speaker 1: it also it leads to.
- 30:44Speaker 2: And it's one of the questions of when you if
- 30:47Speaker 2: you watch the Conclave of yep, they the pope is
- 30:52Speaker 2: supposed to be the the the purest of people that
- 30:58Speaker 2: you know, is the leader of the like the closest
- 31:01Speaker 2: thing humans have too to God and to to and
- 31:06Speaker 2: but in reality it's like who it's like kind of
- 31:09Speaker 2: like the president of the United States.
- 31:10Speaker 5: Who who wants it? And what are their motives?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's the guy who networked the best when they
- 31:16Speaker 1: were all shut in trying to pick a new pope.
- 31:18Speaker 3: He's the one that that kissed the most ass.
- 31:20Speaker 2: But no, it's but it's not just when they go
- 31:23Speaker 2: to the conclave. It's you know, there have been people,
- 31:26Speaker 2: it's kind of like a campaign. There have been people
- 31:28Speaker 2: probably the last two years that have been you know,
- 31:30Speaker 2: quietly making deals and gathering votes.
- 31:34Speaker 5: It's it's it's dirty.
- 31:38Speaker 3: Yeah, it is. That's the two popes. I'm here for wit.
- 31:44Speaker 5: No, I don't want to.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I don't want to see that.
- 31:54Speaker 12: This is online Treouse on Air dot com.

- 32:44Speaker 1: March fourth, twoenty twenty five.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Let's celebrate today. What's some birthdays?
- 32:54Speaker 1: Josh Bowman turns thirty seven today. He played Daniel Grayson
- 32:58Speaker 1: on Revenge and Jack the Ripper on Time after Time.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Speaking of Jack the Ripper, I saw a story, I
- 33:06Speaker 1: think it was last week that said they believe DNA
- 33:09Speaker 1: evidence finally has confirmed the identity of Jack the Ripper,
- 33:15Speaker 1: And I don't remember the guy's name. It was kind
- 33:19Speaker 1: of obviously was forgetful, but it wasn't. I think it
- 33:24Speaker 1: was just some guy, wasn't it trade Did you see
- 33:26Speaker 1: that it was like an artist?
- 33:30Speaker 5: It was a I believe.
- 33:36Speaker 2: It was an immigrant that they actually had he was
- 33:38Speaker 2: a suspect, but obviously there was no DNA or weren't
- 33:43Speaker 2: even really fingerprinting at the time, so they didn't have
- 33:47Speaker 2: enough evidence to ever pin anything on him. But yeah,
- 33:52Speaker 2: I want to say it was a barber or something.
- 33:58Speaker 1: Actually, I think I think that maybe it. I think
- 34:00Speaker 1: he was.
- 34:01Speaker 3: I think he was an actual barber, which makes the barber.
- 34:04Speaker 5: Of Aaron Aaron Kazminski a Polish immigrant barber.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yep, isn't that a Isn't that a joke? My grandfather
- 34:16Speaker 1: used to tell we all had to tell it, Papa,
- 34:20Speaker 1: don't don't, don't don't say that in public.
- 34:24Speaker 5: That's he's still doing Polish jokes back then.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Other birthdays.
- 34:36Speaker 1: Today, Margot Harshman turns thirty nine. She plays a McGee's
- 34:44Speaker 1: paralyzed wife Delilah on n CIS Trey You watching CIS?
- 34:48Speaker 3: Do you know who that is?
- 34:50Speaker 5: I quit watching in CIS?
- 34:52Speaker 3: Okay, I still watch it?
- 34:53Speaker 5: You do?
- 34:54Speaker 3: So you know who this is? Okay?
- 34:57Speaker 1: This says she was also Sheldon's assistant Alex on The
- 35:00Speaker 1: Big Bang Theory.
- 35:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, okay.
- 35:03Speaker 1: I know who that is. I think she was on
- 35:06Speaker 1: was it? Even Stevens as a kid with a shy
- 35:09Speaker 1: le bouffe? Let me see you get a photo. Yeah,
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure that's uh who she is. I think
- 35:14Speaker 1: she was on that too. Fired Uh, yep, even Stevens.
- 35:18Speaker 1: My god, look at the memory on me I don't
- 35:20Speaker 1: remember what you guys said ten minutes ago, but I
- 35:23Speaker 1: know that that chick was on Even Stevens all the
- 35:26Speaker 1: way back in the year two thousand, twenty five years ago.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I know what she was doing.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I didn't know what I was doing two hours ago.
- 35:34Speaker 3: M the brain is.
- 35:36Speaker 5: A funny thing in yours just became whiter.
- 35:43Speaker 3: For the record.
- 35:43Speaker 6: There what I've never seen anybody say Even Stevens with
- 35:49Speaker 6: that much joy.
- 35:50Speaker 3: It was a good show.
- 35:51Speaker 1: Okay, look, I'm gonna tell you something here, So I'm
- 35:56Speaker 1: of the two instances I can recall right now. I
- 35:59Speaker 1: am really good at finding talent and seeing talent in
- 36:05Speaker 1: someone and thinking that person's gonna go places and do things.
- 36:08Speaker 1: Two great examples of that, right One was when watching
- 36:13Speaker 1: Even Stevens all the way back in two thousand. I
- 36:17Speaker 1: watched that show and said that kid Shi La Buff
- 36:19Speaker 1: who played the little brother on the show. I said
- 36:21Speaker 1: that kid's going places, and he did all the way
- 36:24Speaker 1: to Transformers and then some other things and.
- 36:27Speaker 5: Rehab that too.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Look, I was right on both accounts. You know, you
- 36:32Speaker 1: gotta take the bad with the good, but.
- 36:33Speaker 5: I nailed it.
- 36:34Speaker 1: He became hugely famous and he's a phenomenal actor Shila
- 36:37Speaker 1: buff I called it another show in that same time
- 36:41Speaker 1: frame that I used to watch, and I saw an actor,
- 36:44Speaker 1: and I said, that guy is gonna make it. That
- 36:46Speaker 1: guy's going places was an actor by the name of
- 36:49Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds on the show Two Guys a Girl in
- 36:52Speaker 1: a Pizza Place. I said at the time, I said
- 36:54Speaker 1: that guy's going places. A few years later he was
- 36:56Speaker 1: Van Wilder and now he's Deadpool.
- 36:58Speaker 3: So there you go. I'm two for two.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Okay, Luckily I've forgotten any other time I was wrong.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Other birthdays. Today, Chas Bono is fifty six. That's a
- 37:18Speaker 1: Sonny and Shares kid.
- 37:20Speaker 5: Okay.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Always sad about how Sonny Bono went out, which was headfirst,
- 37:28Speaker 3: head first, right into a tree.
- 37:32Speaker 1: Doing what he loved, doing what he loved, first into trees.
- 37:39Speaker 1: He's a great example. We talked about this a few
- 37:41Speaker 1: days ago. He's a great example of the phrase that
- 37:45Speaker 1: I don't want set up my funeral. He died doing
- 37:49Speaker 1: what he loved. I don't think Sonny Bono loved going
- 37:52Speaker 1: headfirst into trees.
- 37:54Speaker 3: He loved skiing.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Skiing's not what killed him. Skiing poor is what killed him.
- 38:05Speaker 6: Too many trees in the way, what is what killed him?
- 38:10Speaker 6: But I mean he thanks to him, Like you have
- 38:12Speaker 6: to wear a helmet now when you ski.
- 38:16Speaker 3: What a legacy.
- 38:19Speaker 5: If I would, I would just like to point out, just.
- 38:24Speaker 2: To give a little perspective on this conversation, is there's
- 38:27Speaker 2: probably half of our audience that has no idea who
- 38:29Speaker 2: Sonny Bono is.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Well, every time they go skiing and touch their helmet,
- 38:36Speaker 1: they know, they just don't know.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Every time you wear a helmet, a Bono gets his wings.
- 38:46Speaker 1: If you don't know who he is or what the
- 38:48Speaker 1: hell we're talking about, google it and you'll thank us later.
- 39:01Speaker 9: You're listening to the Treehouse.

- 39:44Speaker 1: to Burt right now, So RAJ cover for me. What
- 39:46Speaker 1: was it you were saying about the pope that that
- 39:48Speaker 1: you're hoping for.
- 39:50Speaker 5: I'm uh, I'm really excited about this.
- 39:53Speaker 6: The idea of the black pope, like that would be
- 39:57Speaker 6: first of all, that would be really cool.
- 39:58Speaker 5: The music, I mean, like everything would be so much better,
- 40:00Speaker 5: like with with the church. I think you mean a
- 40:03Speaker 5: black pope, not the black Pope. I'm talking about the
- 40:07Speaker 5: black Pope.
- 40:09Speaker 1: If if a black man becomes pope, it will start
- 40:13Speaker 1: out it will start out a but then it will
- 40:16Speaker 1: quickly become the oh yeah, you know, or d a
- 40:21Speaker 1: apostrophe the pope like I like it.
- 40:25Speaker 3: I mean, the popemobile is going to get a hell
- 40:27Speaker 3: of an upgrade.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Get new rims.
- 40:31Speaker 6: Like it's going to be exciting, and the music will
- 40:33Speaker 6: be good and they'll be a choir that's not just
- 40:35Speaker 6: you know what I mean, Like it'll be well funk here.
- 40:38Speaker 1: The black Pope sipping on Jesus juice.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Yeah, there's going to be a hell of a rewride
- 40:45Speaker 2: of not like us great halftime show too.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Next thing, you know that, the next conclave is more
- 41:05Speaker 1: like a Coachella.
- 41:10Speaker 5: Pope. Pats are gonna be all their age.
