- 1:41Speaker 3: super excited to have two fabulous guests from Psych Legal Pop.
- 1:45Speaker 3: And they are professional, professional ladies, which is great because obviously,
- 1:51Speaker 3: at the same time, are you sick of hearing me
- 1:52Speaker 3: say the word like a billion times?
- 1:54Speaker 1: You're not going to have to deal with that. People
- 1:55Speaker 1: are educated.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Here.
- 1:56Speaker 1: However, we get to talk about one of the best, sweetest,
- 2:02Speaker 1: loveliest shows on television, almost like a palate cleanser for
- 2:05Speaker 1: everything happening in the world, and that is Love and
- 2:07Speaker 1: the Spectrum. And this is season four, this is episode one,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and I am so pumped. Hello, Test, Hi, Brooke, how
- 2:13Speaker 1: are you hello.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I do say like hello, yeah, because we also don't
- 2:22Speaker 2: worry like you are Native Californians, so I know you're
- 2:26Speaker 2: southern California. We're northern California. But it's just it's just
- 2:29Speaker 2: part of our vernacular. It's just who we are as Californians.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Okay, good because I don't feel, you know, that it
- 2:36Speaker 1: dumbs down my speech. And at the same time, I
- 2:38Speaker 1: was a theater arts major, so I didn't have to
- 2:40Speaker 1: talk anyone into anything. But I love watching the show,
- 2:47Speaker 1: and specifically I cry a lot during the show. And
- 2:50Speaker 1: it's interesting to me because I watch a lot of
- 2:52Speaker 1: Ninety Day Fiance and this show and nine at a
- 2:56Speaker 1: Fiance and I think that a lot of the world
- 3:00Speaker 1: experience's profound loneliness and the way that people on Love
- 3:05Speaker 1: and the Spectrum get to express that is so universal
- 3:10Speaker 1: and it really hits in a certain way.
- 3:13Speaker 2: And I'm so.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Obviously happy to have new people, and I'm going to
- 3:16Speaker 1: miss some of the people we don't have anymore on
- 3:18Speaker 1: this season.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It's kind of a bittersweet situation. H Yeah.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But I saw that Abby and David were coming back, right, Yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 4: they were the original it couple of this show season one,
- 3:32Speaker 4: I know.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But there was this lovely woman named Pari that was
- 3:37Speaker 1: on last season and she stole everyone's hearts and she
- 3:40Speaker 1: loves the tea. She's like in Boston, and she was
- 3:42Speaker 1: starting her like lesbian relationship. It was so sweet, and
- 3:45Speaker 1: we're like, oh my god, why is why isn't she back?
- 3:48Speaker 1: And Danny isn't back? Who was also on season one?
- 3:51Speaker 1: She was like a communication mogul animation mogul.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I remember her. So why wouldn't they bring
- 3:59Speaker 2: this person back? Do you have any do you know why?
- 4:01Speaker 2: I don't know. I know not. Okay. What I find
- 4:07Speaker 2: that I think back to your comment about how like
- 4:11Speaker 2: sweet it is. It's that you are watching people say
- 4:16Speaker 2: the quiet parts out loud like they really. You are
- 4:20Speaker 2: watching people fall in love and you get to hear
- 4:24Speaker 2: or like date, and you get to hear like what
- 4:27Speaker 2: we are all thinking. Truly, we just don't say it
- 4:30Speaker 2: out loud, I know. And don't we test well because
- 4:34Speaker 2: it's very vulnerable. I mean, the things that they're saying
- 4:37Speaker 2: are very very vulnerable, that you know. I mean, listen,
- 4:41Speaker 2: lots of people weren't asked to the prom. I wasn't
- 4:43Speaker 2: asked to the prom, and I'm listening to this story
- 4:45Speaker 2: and it's like, oh my god, but what I mentioned
- 4:47Speaker 2: is ever?
- 4:48Speaker 1: You know, I don't know.
- 4:49Speaker 2: My husband knows that well. You just told everyone. I know,
- 4:52Speaker 2: I just told the world so sober, yeah sober?
- 4:56Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know you actually test well? I
- 4:57Speaker 1: keep talking for you, honey. I don't know, maybe we
- 5:00Speaker 1: are having some fun at all. It's already two fifteen.
- 5:04Speaker 2: No, but it's just but it is, it's, it's, it's
- 5:06Speaker 2: and it's really it's sort of like it's us at
- 5:10Speaker 2: our best, like when we are vulnerable and real and
- 5:13Speaker 2: willing to kind of say this is who I am,
- 5:15Speaker 2: Take me or leave me. That is us at our
- 5:17Speaker 2: at our finest. And and so I think that's what's
- 5:22Speaker 2: so amazing about the show. It reminded me a lot
- 5:25Speaker 2: of a show that I watched this was pre pandemic
- 5:29Speaker 2: called Born This Way? What No, what is.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Born this Way? So it is it's obviously the greatest
- 5:34Speaker 1: you know love Lady Gaga, Yeah whatever, Okay.
- 5:36Speaker 2: So it was on an E and it was this
- 5:38Speaker 2: show about a group of people who men and women
- 5:43Speaker 2: who had Down syndrome and they were all part of
- 5:46Speaker 2: this like day program where they all went and so
- 5:48Speaker 2: they got a film crew to go and and so
- 5:52Speaker 2: you watch their lives and it was basically the story
- 5:55Speaker 2: of their lives. And one was this rapper that song
- 5:58Speaker 2: still stuck in my head. I like his song was like, well,
- 6:01Speaker 2: it's like something about shaking your booty and I was
- 6:04Speaker 2: like sometimes I can hear that. And there was like
- 6:07Speaker 2: an it couple and there was like the diva and
- 6:10Speaker 2: she was you know, and then there was this guy
- 6:12Speaker 2: and they were the it couple, and it was really
- 6:16Speaker 2: it's the story of very much like this where you
- 6:19Speaker 2: they've focused a lot on the parents, and on this
- 6:23Speaker 2: episode we got a little bit from Connor's mom, but
- 6:26Speaker 2: I wish we got more of that. I wish we
- 6:28Speaker 2: heard more from the parents about because what we learned
- 6:31Speaker 2: on Born this Way is they will often say like
- 6:32Speaker 2: what it was like for them to learn, Okay, my
- 6:34Speaker 2: child has down syndrome, making the choice okay, we're gonna
- 6:37Speaker 2: have this child or what's gonna happen next, and realizing
- 6:40Speaker 2: like this was the greatest gift we thought this was
- 6:42Speaker 2: going to be. We were so fearful their lives were
- 6:44Speaker 2: going to be terrible and we were so and the
- 6:48Speaker 2: minute we let go and recognize like how wonderful and
- 6:51Speaker 2: amazing this is, it was totally different. So the parents
- 6:55Speaker 2: are amazing and it's great to hear their stories and
- 6:58Speaker 2: to see sort of how they're navigating like very adult
- 7:00Speaker 2: things with their kids that are adults but have this,
- 7:05Speaker 2: you know, a different kind of mind. So anyway, check
- 7:09Speaker 2: it out. It's a great show.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm going to Yes, Yes, we did learn Connor on
- 7:14Speaker 1: season three, his his mom and his brothers had like
- 7:17Speaker 1: a very they were a lot more prevalent. And I mean,
- 7:23Speaker 1: we're I've only washed up to season I'm sorry, I've
- 7:25Speaker 1: only watched up to episode three of this new drop everyone,
- 7:27Speaker 1: so you're listening to me. I haven't watched every episode
- 7:29Speaker 1: yet all eight dropped. But we did get a lot
- 7:31Speaker 1: of Connor's like mom talking about his journey thus far,
- 7:36Speaker 1: and it would have been on the previous season and this,
- 7:40Speaker 1: you know, this moment, we get a lot of her
- 7:43Speaker 1: just kind of really giving what would be loving all
- 7:48Speaker 1: you know, neuro typical advice that any mom would give
- 7:52Speaker 1: a son about being clear with his heart and his
- 7:57Speaker 1: intentions in a non threatening way so that he gets peace,
- 8:00Speaker 1: you know, which to me was like great because we're
- 8:04Speaker 1: going to meet Logan and you get to see people
- 8:08Speaker 1: go on the journey of being confident and learning the
- 8:12Speaker 1: skills of communication as they come up. And it's interesting
- 8:16Speaker 1: because Connor, you know, it gets to be in a
- 8:19Speaker 1: relationship and we were so happy to watch him, like
- 8:21Speaker 1: meet Georgie, and now kind of like how James was
- 8:25Speaker 1: with Shelley and now they're in the middle of their
- 8:28Speaker 1: relationships and having kind of like the insecurity and doubts
- 8:32Speaker 1: of like wondering what this is and everything and so
- 8:34Speaker 1: and that's so obviously you know, universal, And at the
- 8:39Speaker 1: same time, when we meet Logan, we're kind of like, oh, yeah,
- 8:42Speaker 1: it's the journey's going to start again to someone who
- 8:44Speaker 1: is really really scared, and we're going to watch him,
- 8:48Speaker 1: hopefully like go on all the steps that we've been
- 8:51Speaker 1: able to watch some of the other people go on.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, who knew trains with faces was so relaxing,
- 8:59Speaker 2: Thomas train.
- 9:02Speaker 1: People love trains with faces. People love dolls, Broke, Are
- 9:06Speaker 1: you a big doll lover?
- 9:08Speaker 4: Well, my daughter, yeah, it kind of gave me some
- 9:11Speaker 4: PTSD of seeing all those Barbies and American girl dolls.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Because who was her favorite? Was she a Samantha?
- 9:18Speaker 4: Come on, no, she didn't have Samantha her first one, well,
- 9:22Speaker 4: she had Rebecca, I remember Rebecca Mia, and then they.
- 9:27Speaker 2: One with a leg injury of the legs she was
- 9:31Speaker 2: fascinated with.
- 9:32Speaker 4: She wanted the wheelchair, the doll wheelchair, the doll cast
- 9:36Speaker 4: and crutches.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, she was fascinating.
- 9:43Speaker 4: I was a little worried about what is this fixation
- 9:46Speaker 4: with being injured? But she turned out okay. Yeah, yeah, you.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Get a lot of attention when you're injured, you do too.
- 9:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that was That was a lot that that girl, Madison.
- 9:59Speaker 4: She had a lot of stuff, not just dolls, a
- 10:02Speaker 4: lot of stuff.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Another thing, honey, they love. People love to collect. People
- 10:07Speaker 1: have obsessions and like to collect things that you know.
- 10:10Speaker 1: And here's the thing. When I say people, I mean me.
- 10:11Speaker 1: I mean you can't see my apartment right now because
- 10:13Speaker 1: I'm in a safe space in a safe corner. But
- 10:15Speaker 1: my whole apartment is filled of collections, and so half
- 10:19Speaker 1: of me watches this. I'm like, that's me. I have
- 10:22Speaker 1: so many plays. I have so many plays. It's ridiculous,
- 10:26Speaker 1: you know, like why did I buy so many? You know,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I have so many paper back plays. But it's so interesting.
- 10:31Speaker 1: There's so much of you had brought up tests that
- 10:34Speaker 1: you didn't go to the prom and now we're listen,
- 10:37Speaker 1: I'm making it now, we're gonna talk about it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:39Speaker 1: No, it's okay. I hope you're okay. I've already had
- 10:42Speaker 1: a documentary about it. We're going back to your school.
- 10:44Speaker 1: We're going to talk to all the guys they should
- 10:46Speaker 1: have asked you about or the girls. God bless you
- 10:47Speaker 1: should have been asked out by everyone in your prom
- 10:50Speaker 1: in your school. I also like was not popular, and
- 10:55Speaker 1: you know I was. I was made fun of and
- 10:57Speaker 1: I they we're going to get into a little bit later,
- 11:00Speaker 1: like a middle school memory of one of the of
- 11:01Speaker 1: one of the peeps, and I have almost an identical memory.
- 11:04Speaker 1: And I mean when that moment happened, I was like, God,
- 11:06Speaker 1: we are all the same. But let's get into some
- 11:09Speaker 1: of the new people. So we're gonna meet Logan. Logan
- 11:11Speaker 1: is twenty five and he's from Las Vegas. And upon
- 11:15Speaker 1: first seeing Logan, thoughts are, the man is lovely serious, worried.
- 11:21Speaker 1: His energy is like, yeah, like a worried, serious energy,
- 11:27Speaker 1: which is, you know interesting. I think that kind of
- 11:30Speaker 1: James has that kind of like a furried brow kind
- 11:33Speaker 1: of feeling as opposed to Emma, you know, or like
- 11:36Speaker 1: someone who was incredibly lighthearted. It's like it's the state
- 11:40Speaker 1: in which I think that he operates from.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yes, yes, well one thought I had was because I
- 11:47Speaker 2: was sort of watching like what are the differences between
- 11:49Speaker 2: Madison and Emma versus Logan Connor, Like, how do males
- 11:53Speaker 2: and females respond to this different? You know, differently? But yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 2: I agree with you with Logan. And it's funny because
- 12:02Speaker 2: he is very funny, and I think he knows he's funny,
- 12:06Speaker 2: but he doesn't know how he's funny. So it's a
- 12:09Speaker 2: little bit like he knows that and he and he's like,
- 12:12Speaker 2: I think that's funny. I think that landed and then
- 12:15Speaker 2: people laugh and he's like, oh okay, But he was
- 12:17Speaker 2: just I found him. I found of anyone, he's the
- 12:20Speaker 2: one that you can watch and see all of the thoughts,
- 12:23Speaker 2: like from the beginning to the end, like this is
- 12:25Speaker 2: where you started, this is where you ended up, maybe
- 12:28Speaker 2: unlike anythink Madison's like that too, but Emma you can't,
- 12:32Speaker 2: you know, she has lots of facial expressions, but it's different.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So I found I found Logan to be I mean,
- 12:39Speaker 2: he was that suit shopping I won't skip ahead, but.
- 12:44Speaker 1: No, that no, it's you're so true, but it's so
- 12:47Speaker 1: it's I do feel like the women, okay, the ways
- 12:49Speaker 1: in which women have to move in this world, and
- 12:53Speaker 1: it is interesting, right, and we're going to use the
- 12:56Speaker 1: word like masking, or we're going to use the word like,
- 12:58Speaker 1: you know, surviving. There are certain like enner that women
- 13:01Speaker 1: use to be able to like, you know, I think survive,
- 13:05Speaker 1: like I said, Emma, is like very giggily.
- 13:08Speaker 2: You know.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Not every woman that has like autism is this way.
- 13:12Speaker 1: And for sure, you know, there's like, you know, so
- 13:15Speaker 1: many beautiful different types. But it is like lovely to
- 13:18Speaker 1: have a spectrum of people literally to discuss these things with. Yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 1: so it's also funny because so many similarities. Now, I
- 13:28Speaker 1: don't know if you saw this and this doesn't I
- 13:30Speaker 1: don't think this happens on the show, but on TikTok
- 13:32Speaker 1: Honey Madison No, sorry, yeah, I think it's Madison meets
- 13:37Speaker 1: Hannah Montana. No, it's Abby. Abby met Hannah mont Sorry,
- 13:40Speaker 1: Abby met Miley Cyrus. And she said to Miley, I
- 13:45Speaker 1: always felt like Hannah Montana for a dual personality. And
- 13:49Speaker 1: so when Logan says this as verbatim, I'm like, oh
- 13:52Speaker 1: my god, I wonder how many kids were like that's me.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I live a life you know like that you don't
- 13:57Speaker 1: see and I have to like pretend to be this
- 13:59Speaker 1: other person it's it is like for interesting, like a commonality.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Well and also if you think about superheroes,
- 14:10Speaker 2: right like spider Man and Superman, right, like that's also there.
- 14:15Speaker 2: There's two parts of me, there's two there's two different things,
- 14:19Speaker 2: these two things competing. But yeah, I thought his his
- 14:23Speaker 2: explanation of you know, Miley's like that. Hannah Montana was like,
- 14:28Speaker 2: oh okay, yeah that makes complete sense, like you can
- 14:31Speaker 2: hide here and you can be open here.
- 14:33Speaker 1: And yeah, Brooke, you have his ideal type. Brooke, you
- 14:37Speaker 1: have what's called kirby straight hair. Your hair is your
- 14:43Speaker 1: hair is straight, yet has bounce, it has curves.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:47Speaker 4: I couldn't tell if he was saying curly straight hair. Yeah, yeah, same.
- 14:52Speaker 1: So in episode one, I swear I heard curly straight,
- 14:54Speaker 1: curly straight, and then later on after you know, later
- 14:57Speaker 1: on I heard curvy straight. So I'm I was like,
- 15:00Speaker 1: I'm not quite sure or maybe he just uses both,
- 15:02Speaker 1: but to me, my hair is curly to me. You know, Brooke,
- 15:05Speaker 1: I think that you have kirvy straight hair.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Okay, good, all right now you know yeah, now I
- 15:12Speaker 4: can describe myself to people.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, things first, curvy straight hair second thing. Sometimes
- 15:18Speaker 1: I say like, yes, exactly, yes, but he's not dated no, no,
- 15:26Speaker 1: same girl's name, but no, he hasn't dated that much.
- 15:29Speaker 1: And you know, I think that also a lot of
- 15:31Speaker 1: people think that they're behind when you know, when everyone's
- 15:36Speaker 1: kind of in the same boat. I don't lose my
- 15:38Speaker 1: here's my little thing. I don't lose my virginity until
- 15:40Speaker 1: I was like twenty two out of college.
- 15:43Speaker 2: And that's not I mean, I think that's the other thing.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Just from my own experiences of working with so many people,
- 15:48Speaker 2: I think people would be surprised how that it isn't
- 15:53Speaker 2: that a lot of people don't have sex in high
- 15:55Speaker 2: school or college, that it is after that, I think again,
- 15:59Speaker 2: it's this is what I really enjoyed. This was like,
- 16:02Speaker 2: it's it's kind of like my job. It's like I
- 16:04Speaker 2: get to hear the silent parts. I get to hear
- 16:07Speaker 2: like what's underneath all of that. And Yeah, you're absolutely
- 16:09Speaker 2: right and and at its core right as human beings,
- 16:15Speaker 2: we all just want the same things. We really do.
- 16:18Speaker 4: I mean, it's not crazy.
- 16:21Speaker 2: We all want, right, we all money money, say.
- 16:28Speaker 4: No, health, money is better.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Yeah, we're older than you, maybe we're a little more cynical.
- 16:35Speaker 2: I love appre jaded, but no, honestly, I mean what's
- 16:40Speaker 2: most important to us is people is survival and acceptance,
- 16:44Speaker 2: like because that's that's survival. So an acceptance is survival.
- 16:47Speaker 1: So yeah, yeah, in community kind of can be survival,
- 16:52Speaker 1: especially if you know, if your family is you know,
- 16:54Speaker 1: if family is one thing, but especially in kind of
- 16:58Speaker 1: like modern especially Western culture, like making sure that you
- 17:01Speaker 1: do have like community around you, I think is it.
- 17:05Speaker 1: And it's so funny because you know, right now, it
- 17:07Speaker 1: just feel like we are careading towards absolute robotic isolation.
- 17:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but he has an incredible mom, an incredible sister,
- 17:17Speaker 1: his twin sister that he lives with, and yeah, we
- 17:21Speaker 1: get to we get to see him go suit shopping.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Now, let's talk about this scene.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Like, this scene is great for so many reasons, mostly
- 17:29Speaker 1: because we get to watch him interact with lots of
- 17:34Speaker 1: Like we don't get to just watch him interact with
- 17:36Speaker 1: like a woman that he's gonna be with later, but
- 17:38Speaker 1: like we get to watch him interact with like older men,
- 17:40Speaker 1: and he seems to sort of like idealize certain people,
- 17:45Speaker 1: like he he invites the lovely suit attendant, like people
- 17:50Speaker 1: get pizza like right away you know, he.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Sees a man in a suit, and I mean.
- 17:57Speaker 1: It's like it would be like it's if I saw
- 18:00Speaker 1: Sidney Crawford in the nineteen nineties, like at the mall
- 18:02Speaker 1: I was, I'd be like, oh my god, I'll do
- 18:04Speaker 1: your tape, you know, like we just uh. He loves
- 18:07Speaker 1: blue and he he picks a cold balt blue suit.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Why would I say blue suit? Sure, a blue suit
- 18:16Speaker 1: that was so great on him.
- 18:19Speaker 2: It's perfect for him. Yeah, was that velvet or that
- 18:22Speaker 2: was velvett. Yeah, you're right.
- 18:25Speaker 1: He has performer energy, and it's it's like for him
- 18:29Speaker 1: to be attracted to that suit and look in the
- 18:30Speaker 1: mirror and then know that it looks that good. He
- 18:34Speaker 1: does have like a dry sense of humor that I
- 18:36Speaker 1: feel like if he could lean into being a.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Little less shy, being a little bit.
- 18:40Speaker 1: More confident and they I can't want to talk to
- 18:43Speaker 1: you about something else, which is what he says at
- 18:46Speaker 1: the end of this. This is so universal. But if
- 18:49Speaker 1: he could lean into a little bit of those things
- 18:50Speaker 1: and he would feel better. And he says, I want
- 18:53Speaker 1: to be the person who decides what's best for me.
- 18:57Speaker 1: M And I think that if you make those decisions
- 19:01Speaker 1: and you get to experience it being a good decision
- 19:05Speaker 1: that was the best for you. You gain the confidence to
- 19:08Speaker 1: continue to do so. I think it's like a secure
- 19:10Speaker 1: thing and everyone can do that, Like there's a I
- 19:13Speaker 1: think I suffer from indecisiveness, not to that different, but yeah,
- 19:18Speaker 1: what is test? Do you have anything to say about
- 19:21Speaker 1: or book? You love children, so both of you can
- 19:24Speaker 1: really talk to about. You know, human behavior more than me,
- 19:27Speaker 1: You've seen it happen all over the place. What's it
- 19:31Speaker 1: like like, either as a parent or you know, helping
- 19:33Speaker 1: someone who is learning to make decisions and yet insecure
- 19:38Speaker 1: at the same time.
- 19:39Speaker 4: M hm, Brooke, Well, I think that you have to
- 19:46Speaker 4: be careful, like not to make the decision for them
- 19:50Speaker 4: or suggest a certain decision or suggests that something is best.
- 19:55Speaker 4: You know, you have to give the pros and the
- 19:56Speaker 4: cons and let them come to their own conclusion because
- 20:00Speaker 4: because ultimately, if you tell kids do this, do that,
- 20:04Speaker 4: they're automatically not going to want to do it. So
- 20:06Speaker 4: it's got to be their idea. And I feel like
- 20:09Speaker 4: that's kind of like what Logan's mom and sister. You
- 20:13Speaker 4: can tell that that's what they've been doing with him,
- 20:16Speaker 4: and you see it in practice where they're going through
- 20:20Speaker 4: these different fears that he has and they're not saying, oh,
- 20:25Speaker 4: don't worry about it, you'll be fine. You know, they're
- 20:27Speaker 4: listening to him and being supportive of him. And you
- 20:30Speaker 4: could tell the way the sister talks to him and
- 20:33Speaker 4: treats him that you know, she's very protective of him,
- 20:36Speaker 4: and she knows how to deal with him and when
- 20:40Speaker 4: to listen and when to say something. And I think
- 20:43Speaker 4: they have a beautiful relationship those Yeah, I.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Mean, I will say all of the parents, all of
- 20:49Speaker 2: the families are really lovely. Like that's the other part
- 20:52Speaker 2: of it too. It's like, and I don't I remember
- 20:55Speaker 2: season one everyone was really lovely, and so I don't.
- 20:58Speaker 2: I My guess would be as they probably have never
- 21:00Speaker 2: had a super dysfunctional we're not seeing like ninety days
- 21:04Speaker 2: stuff here. Like you know, it's that that every family
- 21:09Speaker 2: you know is really vary together and doing exactly what
- 21:13Speaker 2: you know what they need to be doing. It's a
- 21:14Speaker 2: lot of motivational interviewing, which is like, yeah, you're not
- 21:18Speaker 2: you're helping some you're kind of helping and guiding someone
- 21:21Speaker 2: and even in that you can kind of steer them
- 21:23Speaker 2: they just don't know you're steering them. You're just asking
- 21:25Speaker 2: questions and sort of presenting things and you know, asking
- 21:30Speaker 2: if if okay, so you want your life to look
- 21:33Speaker 2: like this, So what do you think you need to
- 21:34Speaker 2: do to have your life look like that? Like what
- 21:36Speaker 2: would that take or what would that be? And you
- 21:39Speaker 2: know it's so yeah, it it's like taking the long
- 21:42Speaker 2: way home. I say this to clients all the time,
- 21:44Speaker 2: like and especially parents. I'm like, I get it, this
- 21:46Speaker 2: is the long ride. This is like, but over time,
- 21:51Speaker 2: this will benefit you because you won't have to take
- 21:54Speaker 2: this long ride. And I think that's what we're seeing
- 21:56Speaker 2: with Logan and his family, which is just years of
- 21:59Speaker 2: them being verytient with him and really then knowing how
- 22:02Speaker 2: to do the shorthand.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Like day in and day work, right.
- 22:06Speaker 2: I think, yes, yes, And it's and it's hard. It's
- 22:09Speaker 2: I mean, it takes a tremendous I mean kids alone
- 22:12Speaker 2: take patience, but like this, I can't imagine the amount
- 22:16Speaker 2: of patients it really takes. Like you really have to
- 22:19Speaker 2: slow down and and not all parents are suited for
- 22:24Speaker 2: this or I think these parents figure out that that
- 22:28Speaker 2: I you know, that's the big thing with parenting is
- 22:30Speaker 2: you figure out like I can't I can't parent the
- 22:33Speaker 2: child that I want. I need to parent the child
- 22:34Speaker 2: that I have and parent them to the best to
- 22:39Speaker 2: help them thrive and love that person.
- 22:41Speaker 1: So yeah, that's the real thing, because I feel like
- 22:44Speaker 1: I own it.
- 22:45Speaker 2: I want to ask one question. Did it seem odd
- 22:48Speaker 2: to either of you that the guy selling suits wasn't
- 22:50Speaker 2: wearing a suit? Yeah? He was really bothered by that.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I was like, you don't even wear a suit to
- 22:56Speaker 2: this job.
- 22:57Speaker 1: He was weird.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, he was a little sense of humor, like yes,
- 23:01Speaker 2: because Logan was actually trying to joke with him. He
- 23:05Speaker 2: just didn't pick it up.
- 23:07Speaker 1: He's like, oh, go out of business. And it was
- 23:08Speaker 1: a dollar buddy, all right, you're on. By the way,
- 23:13Speaker 1: you're getting a free commercial. Like no one's going to
- 23:15Speaker 1: go in your like you know, three day suit broker place,
- 23:17Speaker 1: like you know, treat Logan like a king for being
- 23:20Speaker 1: here with his film crew. I mean, what are you
- 23:21Speaker 1: talking about give this? First of all, the suit should
- 23:23Speaker 1: be for.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Free, Well I'm really shit. And also he just got
- 23:27Speaker 2: a jacket, Like a jacket and a tie. It doesn't
- 23:29Speaker 2: seem like a full We didn't see pants.
- 23:31Speaker 1: So, yeah, we saw the pants that he decided to
- 23:34Speaker 1: wear with that outfit, and yeah, I wouldn't. I'm to
- 23:37Speaker 1: go on to go on the you know, I'm gonna
- 23:39Speaker 1: hot take. They didn't match, didn't seem like it was
- 23:41Speaker 1: a whole two pieces.
- 23:44Speaker 2: But no, I'm thinking, did he get the full suit?
- 23:48Speaker 2: And are we going to see the full suit at
- 23:49Speaker 2: some point the blue jacket and blue pants or that's
- 23:53Speaker 2: going to be pimpin'. I can't wait for that.
- 23:56Speaker 1: I got fifty dollars. You know, maybe he would like
- 23:58Speaker 1: part of bargain. Just give me the It is the
- 24:00Speaker 1: star of the show with that, I.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Yes, no, it is, it is. We can move on
- 24:04Speaker 2: to Emma. Why.
- 24:06Speaker 1: It's because than you were saying about. Okay, so, because
- 24:10Speaker 1: we get this beautiful scene with so Emma as a
- 24:12Speaker 1: new person and we get to meet Emma.
- 24:14Speaker 2: I'm so happy.
- 24:14Speaker 1: She's twenty, she's from Provo, and she's also LDS. Yes yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 24:19Speaker 1: yes yes yes, you know, quite different, quite different from
- 24:22Speaker 1: some of the other LDS people that had been in
- 24:24Speaker 1: the news recently. Tenson Brook, any thoughts on the other
- 24:27Speaker 1: Oh yeah, are you worried that like Emma's waiting for
- 24:29Speaker 1: the date, and that's Dakota that shows up.
- 24:34Speaker 2: Can you imagine can you imagine if Dakota shows up
- 24:37Speaker 2: and I bet you anything, Emma's like, oh god, no,
- 24:40Speaker 2: I kind of think Emma would want to hang out
- 24:42Speaker 2: with him.
- 24:42Speaker 1: Like he's from a mile away. She's like he's bad news.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, oh my gosh, but yeah, this is this
- 24:48Speaker 2: The family was really interesting too, and yeah but.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so she she is living in a beautiful
- 24:57Speaker 1: like no. She goes to school and the schools for
- 24:59Speaker 1: like neuro diverg peeps, and she, like I said, is Mormon.
- 25:02Speaker 1: And we get to hear and talk to her and
- 25:06Speaker 1: we get to meet her roommates. But her mom really says,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I think what you had pretty much said about five
- 25:13Speaker 1: minutes ago, which is that you learn that you have
- 25:17Speaker 1: to parent the child that you have, and not the
- 25:19Speaker 1: child that you thought you were going to have, or
- 25:21Speaker 1: that even the child that you thought was there at
- 25:23Speaker 1: six months or whatever, like ever changing person you have
- 25:27Speaker 1: to adapt to and the emotional maturity and intelligence to
- 25:31Speaker 1: be able to do that and like put your own
- 25:35Speaker 1: thoughts and feelings the energy of them in such a
- 25:39Speaker 1: way that people that you can be there for someone
- 25:41Speaker 1: it's like, I mean, that is a crazy you know,
- 25:45Speaker 1: like patting your head and touching your tommy at the
- 25:47Speaker 1: same time. I don't think I can do it.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it's it's really it's it's challenging for sure.
- 25:54Speaker 2: But I mean, and again I think that that's the
- 25:56Speaker 2: other part of it too, is no matter my son
- 25:58Speaker 2: has a lot of anxiety and depression and all that,
- 26:00Speaker 2: and you know there's that other part. It's like, well,
- 26:03Speaker 2: that's just how it is, you know what I mean,
- 26:05Speaker 2: you just have to accept, like this is who he is,
- 26:09Speaker 2: this is how it's going to be, this is how
- 26:11Speaker 2: I need to speak. But I think what's so interesting
- 26:14Speaker 2: is if you if you take this another level, looking
- 26:17Speaker 2: at all this the parents, right, we all go into
- 26:20Speaker 2: things thinking I don't want to be judgmental. I don't
- 26:22Speaker 2: want to you know, it was so painful when I
- 26:24Speaker 2: felt judged in middle school, so I don't want to
- 26:26Speaker 2: be judge And then you have a child and then
- 26:28Speaker 2: you see that they're not quote unquote cool or this
- 26:30Speaker 2: or that, and then you start to judge them because right,
- 26:33Speaker 2: and it's I think it was I think that's really
- 26:35Speaker 2: what she was saying was just this realization of like,
- 26:37Speaker 2: what am I doing here? I'm just I'm I'm doing
- 26:41Speaker 2: what the world but what I fear the world's doing.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I'm being the biggest.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Judger here, So micro correcting. It's like a micro controlling
- 26:51Speaker 1: Michael micro correcting. I mean, they're God bless some, you know,
- 26:54Speaker 1: God fearing peeps, so it seems to me they're probably
- 26:56Speaker 1: spending time in church. And yeah, EMA's mom talks about
- 26:58Speaker 1: how Emma would probab be a little loud or chatty
- 27:01Speaker 1: or excited, and she would just have to she just
- 27:04Speaker 1: found herself constantly shushing her, constantly diminishing her in some way,
- 27:08Speaker 1: constantly telling her what she's doing. Her natural expression is
- 27:12Speaker 1: not good, not its stop stop stop stop, and exactly
- 27:16Speaker 1: like you said, like I wasn't cool growing up, you know,
- 27:20Speaker 1: And so then I know that if I gave birth
- 27:22Speaker 1: to a mini me that was like super loud and like,
- 27:25Speaker 1: you know, like very reactive, you know, I'd be like,
- 27:29Speaker 1: you're cool, like take it down a notch, buddy, you know,
- 27:31Speaker 1: just like but at the same time, you know, who
- 27:36Speaker 1: are what rules are you enforcing, like the same ones
- 27:39Speaker 1: that like kind of stole your spirit at some point.
- 27:42Speaker 1: It's such a yeah, just work tests when you're like
- 27:47Speaker 1: not own, when you do something as someone else that
- 27:50Speaker 1: like the abuser did to you, God bless it, Stockholm syndrome.
- 27:53Speaker 2: No, that's not yeah or yeah, no, no, that's not
- 27:58Speaker 2: stop Stockholm. That's more of like like you start to
- 28:03Speaker 2: love your captor. So I don't know what we'll do
- 28:07Speaker 2: it to other cult people. I know that's not a yeah,
- 28:10Speaker 2: I guess you know cults, culteat stuff, cultea stuff. Yeah, no,
- 28:18Speaker 2: I'm with you. Was I the only one that was like,
- 28:21Speaker 2: how much money do you think that school is?
- 28:24Speaker 1: Like millions? Oh, they have so much money. The Mormons,
- 28:27Speaker 1: God bless and the scientologists can buy it in the
- 28:30Speaker 1: if you I mean, this whole world could be just
- 28:32Speaker 1: like bought by Catholicism, Mormons, and Scientology.
- 28:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess they have tons of money. I was like,
- 28:37Speaker 2: is this the state is running this? Because she's twenty two, so,
- 28:41Speaker 2: I mean, and this looks like a nice facility and
- 28:43Speaker 2: those are hard to find. And I was just like,
- 28:46Speaker 2: I cannot imagine how much this is like a private Yeah,
- 28:49Speaker 2: like the most ultra private school. Yeah, it's probably two
- 28:54Speaker 2: hundred thousand dollars a year. Because she lives there, she
- 28:56Speaker 2: has roommates, you know, yeah, yeah, but it's like like
- 29:00Speaker 2: what you know, and so I think again, we're seeing
- 29:03Speaker 2: like the best of what it can be like when
- 29:05Speaker 2: you are when you have good when your parents are
- 29:07Speaker 2: with you, when you have good parents, when you're going
- 29:10Speaker 2: somewhere where you feel seen and accepted, like this is
- 29:13Speaker 2: this is why Emma is so sure of herself and
- 29:18Speaker 2: be like this is Austin's loser. Yeah, yeah, we'll talk
- 29:22Speaker 2: about that later.
- 29:23Speaker 1: No, I know, God bless Emma. Yeah, I'm not Abby.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Madison's parents come from money. Connor too, and this has
- 29:28Speaker 1: been talked about off for the seasons as well. That
- 29:31Speaker 1: is something that is interesting. Yes, people have a lot
- 29:35Speaker 1: of access, and you can tell that people had access
- 29:38Speaker 1: early on to education, to the help, so that when
- 29:41Speaker 1: we're seeing parents talk to their kids now, it's because
- 29:44Speaker 1: they had you know, professionals early on in the process.
- 29:48Speaker 1: And it's not always available and accessible to everyone that
- 29:52Speaker 1: has autism. And it's actually one of the parts that's
- 29:56Speaker 1: probably the only part of the show that I could say,
- 29:59Speaker 1: you know, I wish that you could would show and
- 30:03Speaker 1: or give assistance to the people that aren't being able
- 30:07Speaker 1: to do this. You know, a lot of people, some
- 30:10Speaker 1: other people on the show, sorry, some people off on
- 30:13Speaker 1: the streets, Honey, also think that the show could be exploitive.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Some people feel like the show is exploitive just for
- 30:19Speaker 1: the pure act that we're watching these lovely people live
- 30:24Speaker 1: on camera, and like what their ability to know and
- 30:28Speaker 1: consent of everything is.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Mmmmm, Okay, yeah, I can see that. I understand that one.
- 30:33Speaker 2: But well, at the same time, it exposes us. Go on, Sorry,
- 30:37Speaker 2: I was going to say.
- 30:38Speaker 4: I was reading a New York Times article about Abby's
- 30:41Speaker 4: mother and it was kind of about the evolution of
- 30:44Speaker 4: the show. And at first Abby's mother was very against
- 30:47Speaker 4: it and didn't want to do it, and she said,
- 30:51Speaker 4: the more she thought about it, She's like, well, why, Amy,
- 30:55Speaker 4: why am I hiding my daughter away? Why wouldn't I
- 30:57Speaker 4: want people to see that, you know, this is what
- 31:00Speaker 4: autism looks like. And I'm proud of her, and you know,
- 31:04Speaker 4: I want people to see it, normalize it and show
- 31:07Speaker 4: And another thing that's I think this show does a
- 31:10Speaker 4: good job with is showing that, you know, everyone is
- 31:14Speaker 4: a sexual person. Everybody wants to be loved and wants
- 31:18Speaker 4: affection and intimacy and all that kind of stuff, and
- 31:22Speaker 4: we shouldn't feel uncomfortable about it just because.
- 31:26Speaker 2: You know, these people are on the spectrum.
- 31:28Speaker 4: And so I think that you know, the show, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 4: it's really trying to It's they're trying to say, we're
- 31:37Speaker 4: not trying to be exploitive. We're trying to show normalize,
- 31:41Speaker 4: you know, normalizing seeing people like this and talking to them.
- 31:46Speaker 1: As someone who watches None of a Fiance and other shows,
- 31:49Speaker 1: you know, and same, I can I know that you
- 31:52Speaker 1: guys watch other shows too. It's it's it's you know,
- 31:55Speaker 1: when you're watching a show and you're judging people like
- 31:57Speaker 1: I wouldn't do that.
- 31:58Speaker 2: What is she doing?
- 31:59Speaker 1: Like I know, was she wearing or like, you know,
- 32:01Speaker 1: like she's does me. There's so many, you know, things
- 32:03Speaker 1: you can say about people on Love Island, people on
- 32:05Speaker 1: Love is Blind, people on the batcherette, people on Fiance.
- 32:10Speaker 1: It's interesting because when I watch the show, I don't
- 32:14Speaker 1: feel like judgment like that. I really watch the show
- 32:18Speaker 1: and I'm like, shit, me too, shit the whole money,
- 32:21Speaker 1: Oh my god, me too, you know, like and and
- 32:24Speaker 1: so there's something like so I there's something so I
- 32:27Speaker 1: guess the reason why I love theater or theory about
- 32:30Speaker 1: it because like these human stories don't feel like they're
- 32:34Speaker 1: put on display to like poke and make fun of
- 32:38Speaker 1: or like kind of whatever entertain us as much as
- 32:43Speaker 1: it's to inform us of the like basic like you said, Brooke,
- 32:49Speaker 1: human desires to experience love, to in that I mean
- 32:54Speaker 1: across the board, but to experience love and intimacy, and
- 32:57Speaker 1: to feel seen and to be sat with, to be
- 33:00Speaker 1: like valued and cherished for who you are.
- 33:03Speaker 2: I mean, it's I think that that just to speak
- 33:09Speaker 2: to this idea of like, what is it about the show.
- 33:12Speaker 2: It's like I think when we watch, I don't know
- 33:14Speaker 2: how much you cover. You don't cover any housewives?
- 33:19Speaker 1: No, I I do know what that is.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so I mean, but it could be also secret
- 33:23Speaker 2: lives of Mormon wives, like the same thing, where with
- 33:26Speaker 2: these people it's like they're coming out saying I was
- 33:29Speaker 2: hurt before and now I'm getting into this relationship and
- 33:33Speaker 2: I love you so much and I'm so happy to
- 33:34Speaker 2: be here. And it's versus what we see a lot of,
- 33:37Speaker 2: which is just bravado and putting on airs and right,
- 33:42Speaker 2: that's what makes them so unique and special to watch
- 33:47Speaker 2: because it's like, how can you not someone is showing
- 33:50Speaker 2: you their most vulnerable self in a very real way
- 33:55Speaker 2: and all you know, so, how can you not want
- 33:58Speaker 2: to watch that? And ambient it versus what we see
- 34:01Speaker 2: with these like these other shows. I think it's Mormon
- 34:05Speaker 2: Wives doesn't have as much as Housewives. But the thing
- 34:07Speaker 2: with Housewives is that it's just it's all performative. It's
- 34:11Speaker 2: all like, this is my house, and half the time
- 34:13Speaker 2: you're thinking, do you really own that house? Do you
- 34:15Speaker 2: really like? So it's so you don't know what's real
- 34:18Speaker 2: or not real. But with with Logan, I know it's real.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Like if Logan said I'm enjoying talking to you, I
- 34:24Speaker 2: know that he's enjoying talking to me.
- 34:27Speaker 1: You know, yeah, and he says I'm feeling shy. Shit,
- 34:30Speaker 1: he's feeling shy.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, yeah yeah yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 1: But yeah, let's so with Emma, you know she she
- 34:37Speaker 1: we love Emma a lot. She is adorable, she loves TV,
- 34:42Speaker 1: she loves she does really good voice.
- 34:45Speaker 4: Yesactly, she's good her Disney voice, yes greatcellent.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Donald Duck. I mean, I'm Hulu should get her number
- 34:54Speaker 1: because they need people all the time. She doesn't really good.
- 34:57Speaker 2: Yeah, her mickey mouth's not bad either. Yeah, No, she's good.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I love her roommates. I love what they say about her.
- 35:04Speaker 1: It's not hard to smile when she's around. Yeah, we
- 35:07Speaker 1: see that like it's it's and it's funny because she's
- 35:11Speaker 1: giggling and we're seeing, like, you know, an incredibly happy person.
- 35:15Speaker 1: And at the same time she is so I could cry.
- 35:18Speaker 1: She's so very uh well, she's so very direct with
- 35:20Speaker 1: how loneliness plagues her. I mean well, and she talks
- 35:25Speaker 1: about it, you know, in the season. I'm sorry in
- 35:28Speaker 1: episode one and I can't wait to talk about it later.
- 35:30Speaker 1: But she really wants intimacy, you know. But she also
- 35:33Speaker 1: comes from a heavily in doc donated faith that wants,
- 35:38Speaker 1: you know, no sex before marriage. And then you know,
- 35:41Speaker 1: we know that people be marrying super young, you know,
- 35:45Speaker 1: and to also not be able to do you know.
- 35:48Speaker 1: It's just there's there's so much to unpack. Also with
- 35:51Speaker 1: that her family is obviously varying the church. They have
- 35:54Speaker 1: a lego temple.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Oh I didn't clock that. Oh oh oh oh, with.
- 35:59Speaker 1: A little broom with black hair. I was like, who
- 36:02Speaker 1: has black hair in this family? That's what I think
- 36:04Speaker 1: that Definitely. The school she goes to is paid five more.
- 36:08Speaker 1: I paid for by the church, like they're just I
- 36:10Speaker 1: have I just assume it from top to bottom, just
- 36:13Speaker 1: how a nice it looked and how I feel how
- 36:17Speaker 1: the students kind of did give a similar vibe. Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 1: it didn't seem like they were bringing in people of different.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Yeah face yeah, oh yeah, with different fates. I thought
- 36:28Speaker 2: you meant because it's neurodivergent. But I'm like, okay, where
- 36:31Speaker 2: I mean, it seems like everyone's on the spectrum, so
- 36:35Speaker 2: no one. You know, there's aphasia, there's there's lots of
- 36:38Speaker 2: NeuroD you know adhd, you know phacia. No, no, I'm
- 36:42Speaker 2: thinking of praxia apraxia, which is also another one that
- 36:45Speaker 2: seems like autism, but it's not. It's it's slow, slow speech,
- 36:50Speaker 2: but highly intelligent slow speech something like that. But so
- 36:54Speaker 2: I don't know it. But yeah, the more I think
- 36:56Speaker 2: about it, the more I'm like, I think I'm with you.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I think I think the church is paying for the
- 37:00Speaker 2: place because it's it's pretty amazing. But the other thing
- 37:04Speaker 2: that I was wondering about Emma, I was thinking, knowing
- 37:07Speaker 2: that she's twenty two, it's a little bit like, does
- 37:09Speaker 2: she feel like she's behind because all of her friends
- 37:13Speaker 2: who or maybe not at the school, but I would think, right,
- 37:17Speaker 2: how old does the average woman get married?
- 37:19Speaker 1: We know Mikayla got pregnated at sixteen?
- 37:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Oh Jace did not you know? He was twenty one? Boy?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Did you know?
- 37:26Speaker 1: Why do I know so much about people?
- 37:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 37:29Speaker 1: Do you think they all know?
- 37:29Speaker 2: Like? Do you?
- 37:30Speaker 1: It's and she's in provo, so yt see how concentrated
- 37:36Speaker 1: is all of the Mormons we know? Like, is her
- 37:40Speaker 1: older cousins friends with the Mormon wives? No, it's possible,
- 37:47Speaker 1: It is possible. The named cam Cam, Yes, yes, has
- 37:52Speaker 1: has Cam dated like Layla? You know what I'm saying, like,
- 37:55Speaker 1: probably I love him a lot. Yeah, we're let's talk
- 37:59Speaker 1: about her day, honey. And this is a great, great
- 38:02Speaker 1: example of you need to kiss a lot of frogs.
- 38:06Speaker 1: And she, you know, she has an interesting taste in men.
- 38:08Speaker 1: She was like, I was really into Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks,
- 38:11Speaker 1: Jim Carrey. We're like, okay, okay. And then she gets
- 38:14Speaker 1: to her date. First of all, her date is Austin.
- 38:17Speaker 1: He loves cow pasture smells, and I was like.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I was like, does does he know what
- 38:23Speaker 2: a cow pasture is? You didn't want to same anure.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Yeah probably, and he also saying he hates the sound
- 38:32Speaker 1: of the auctioneers and.
- 38:34Speaker 2: That's why very specific, you know. But then I was thinking,
- 38:39Speaker 2: are there are her voices bothering him? Like? Because I
- 38:42Speaker 2: kept thinking does this sound like an auctioneer? Is this
- 38:44Speaker 2: why he has this weird reaction.
- 38:45Speaker 4: To Maybe she's too fast, she talks too fast or something.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, maybe that's it.
- 38:53Speaker 1: When Tyler of Madison and Tyler, when we first met,
- 38:57Speaker 1: he's an auctioneer and he gave us a little auctioneer voice. Oh,
- 39:02Speaker 1: it's just interesting. He compliments her hair, there's like awkward silences.
- 39:06Speaker 1: She loves performing acting and sees singing. He's like cool,
- 39:09Speaker 1: I did one play once, never again.
- 39:11Speaker 2: M hmm. Well, when I first saw Austin, I was like, oh,
- 39:14Speaker 2: he's cute. He's cute. But his lack of reaction to
- 39:17Speaker 2: her voices. And there's a point at which, oh that
- 39:21Speaker 2: I said, Emma got the ick and it was building
- 39:24Speaker 2: the snowman. Yep, I think it was there.
- 39:28Speaker 4: She was there.
- 39:28Speaker 2: She was there, a snowman way down. By the time
- 39:31Speaker 2: they got into that that glass cage, she was out.
- 39:36Speaker 2: Oh you do okay, okay, wait broke I want to
- 39:37Speaker 2: hear you gonna say, oh, I.
- 39:39Speaker 4: Just said she was. She said it was time to go,
- 39:42Speaker 4: ready to go after the Snowman.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Yes, So what had happened was she was like, you,
- 39:47Speaker 1: I love Disney, so do you want to build a snowman?
- 39:50Speaker 2: And he was like.
- 39:54Speaker 1: Okay, And so at first I was like, not that,
- 39:56Speaker 1: that's not even the moment though, then they decided to
- 39:58Speaker 1: build a snowman. Then he he's like, I'm gonna put
- 40:00Speaker 1: this extra a little bit here, and she's just so
- 40:03Speaker 1: the hat sits on there and she's.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Like, I get the point.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Nothing doesn't have Yeah, and he doesn't, and she's like,
- 40:13Speaker 1: I'll do it again round two. I got the point
- 40:19Speaker 1: and he gave her nothing. And it's like that is
- 40:22Speaker 1: to me test Like the very moment, I was like,
- 40:24Speaker 1: oh no. And it was interesting because I saw him
- 40:27Speaker 1: kind of do this a little bit like especially with
- 40:29Speaker 1: the play thing before, it is that he has a
- 40:32Speaker 1: tendency to be a little negative, right, a little bit
- 40:37Speaker 1: a little negative. Yeah, and you saw her deflate.
- 40:43Speaker 2: Well and just the I thought it was more of
- 40:45Speaker 2: the snowman. I didn't. I do remember that sharp thing
- 40:49Speaker 2: in him not getting that. But I think it was
- 40:51Speaker 2: like at one point I just saw her look at
- 40:52Speaker 2: him fall into the snow again, and it's a little
- 40:54Speaker 2: bit like aren't you from Utah? Like don't you I mean,
- 40:58Speaker 2: I can understand problem. Well, he was makes such a
- 41:00Speaker 2: problem with the snow, Like don't you have shoes with traction?
- 41:04Speaker 2: I can understand if one of us showed up, yeah,
- 41:07Speaker 2: with our flip flops, like hey, you know, Rainbow's just
- 41:10Speaker 2: getting stuck in the sand. Yeah, yeah, yeah, But it's
- 41:13Speaker 2: it's a little bit of like, you're from here, you
- 41:16Speaker 2: should you should have better shoes. And so the fact
- 41:19Speaker 2: that he kept slipping, and I think she was just
- 41:20Speaker 2: like what the you know, like, what's wrong with you?
- 41:24Speaker 2: So she didn't like.
- 41:26Speaker 1: That truly, and then she unfortunately had to do something
- 41:29Speaker 1: that I would have loved to do. They go to
- 41:32Speaker 1: stein Erickson Lodge, which I hate to say, is the boogiest,
- 41:36Speaker 1: one of the boogiest places in the entire world. It's
- 41:38Speaker 1: in Deer Valley, like Deer Valley, you know, the Deer
- 41:41Speaker 1: Valley Mountain, like not even Park City. You can't even
- 41:43Speaker 1: snowboard there. They're so bougie. There's like the Saint Regis
- 41:46Speaker 1: Honey and there's like you know whatever, there's there's like
- 41:49Speaker 1: three fancy hotels. Diane Erickson Lodge is like by far
- 41:52Speaker 1: the cutest and the coolest. I was like, oh my god.
- 41:54Speaker 1: They go into an igloo. I mean they get yummy
- 41:56Speaker 1: ass food. She gets chili, you know what tastes good?
- 41:59Speaker 1: He gets salmon mm hmm brook.
- 42:06Speaker 4: It's like a basic fish. Well.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Also, I guess they're not going to be kissing later hmm.
- 42:14Speaker 1: He smells the smallt smalt and pepper shakers, and that
- 42:19Speaker 1: was also a little thing where she was like, you
- 42:21Speaker 1: don't think I don't think any I don't think you
- 42:22Speaker 1: need to smell them.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Yeah, well it's a little bit like no, duh, salt
- 42:26Speaker 2: and pepper. You know you've never had it before? Yeah,
- 42:30Speaker 2: why is he smelling it?
- 42:32Speaker 1: But that also they don't like one is black and
- 42:34Speaker 1: one is yes, yes, it isn't like sugar and salt.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so let's go back to this hotel because I
- 42:43Speaker 2: do remember seeing this place going this is gorgeous, like
- 42:46Speaker 2: where what is happening? Is this where they live? This
- 42:49Speaker 2: is I mean I've never been to Utah. It looks stunning,
- 42:53Speaker 2: so this is all and I just don't know it
- 42:55Speaker 2: that well, so this is all this, This is all
- 42:58Speaker 2: Deer Valley, This is Okay City, this is park City.
- 43:02Speaker 2: Okay City is the actual town or whatever, and Deer
- 43:05Speaker 2: Valley is Deer Valleys the mountain, got it, okay, like
- 43:08Speaker 2: or the s resort and like their thing is first
- 43:11Speaker 2: of all, that's where when it happened.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Okay, yes, okay, so there it is. Yes, yes, yes,
- 43:18Speaker 1: the crossover, yes, yes, yes, yes, I need you to
- 43:21Speaker 1: know that that is what it is. Okay, thank god,
- 43:23Speaker 1: thank god I said it.
- 43:25Speaker 2: Okay.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I have a thing for bougie things. I don't know why.
- 43:27Speaker 2: I wish I wish I wasn't this way. It's like
- 43:29Speaker 2: one of my worst faults.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Okay, but anyway, they don't get to enjoy the most
- 43:33Speaker 1: beautiful place. She says, she really wants a guy that
- 43:37Speaker 1: has a sense of humor and is good at conversations.
- 43:40Speaker 1: And then she leaves. She really just stops talking and
- 43:43Speaker 1: looks at looks at him, and he's like, oh, yeah,
- 43:45Speaker 1: me too, of course, no, yep, that's what's happening all here,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and she's like.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Yeah, well and then he said the same thing that
- 43:55Speaker 2: I was singing thinking. He was like, oh, she just
- 43:57Speaker 2: friend zoned him and then he walks away and he's like,
- 44:00Speaker 2: I was friend zoned. I've been friend zoned before. And
- 44:02Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, Austin, I think you have. I think
- 44:05Speaker 2: you have been friend zoned before. And maybe I don't know.
- 44:08Speaker 2: There's nothing wrong with Austin. There's the right person for
- 44:11Speaker 2: him out there, but it's not Emma. This guy would.
- 44:14Speaker 2: This guy would. He seems too self conscious and to
- 44:21Speaker 2: there's something right. He doesn't have her free spirit so.
- 44:25Speaker 1: And he looks like her dad to her, which I
- 44:26Speaker 1: didn't see.
- 44:27Speaker 2: But yeah, Nancy, I think also was the point where
- 44:29Speaker 2: she was like, Mick, Yeah, that was the ick.
- 44:33Speaker 1: You either do You either do two things. You either
- 44:36Speaker 1: date someone who looks like your parent and you don't know,
- 44:38Speaker 1: or you know and you never say anything, or the
- 44:40Speaker 1: minute that you figure that out, you can't date that person.
- 44:43Speaker 2: I mean, that's how I feel about it. Yeah, I
- 44:46Speaker 2: don't know if I've ever I've never dated anyone that
- 44:48Speaker 2: looked like our fathers, So I don't know, I don't know,
- 44:53Speaker 2: I don't know, but yeah, no, I know what you're
- 44:55Speaker 2: talking about. The dad's kind of though. I thought the
- 44:58Speaker 2: dad was a little milk toast too.
- 45:00Speaker 4: I was just like, well he's the healthiest, and yes,
- 45:06Speaker 4: dad clean living, you know, oh yeah, clear broke in
- 45:10Speaker 4: and no, that's true.
- 45:13Speaker 1: Just swigging every night, sweet.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Big old cups with big old cups of sugary goodness.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Have you ever oh even I think you just said
- 45:24Speaker 1: you've never been to Utah?
- 45:25Speaker 2: Have either of you? Brook?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Have you ever been to Utah? I ever had a swig?
- 45:28Speaker 2: I haven't. I have not.
- 45:30Speaker 4: But my daughter went over the was it some last
- 45:34Speaker 4: summer or something, and every day she would go to
- 45:36Speaker 4: swig and get the same order. It was like a
- 45:39Speaker 4: diet doctor pepper with some kind of raspberry foam and lime. Oh,
- 45:46Speaker 4: that was her drink every day. That's and she never
- 45:51Speaker 4: drinks soda. She'd never drink a diet doctor pepper. But
- 45:55Speaker 4: that's what you do when.
- 45:56Speaker 2: You're there's what's the place that's out here? We do
- 46:00Speaker 2: have some version of this out here? What's that place? Though?
- 46:03Speaker 2: Dutch brothers, Dutch.
- 46:05Speaker 1: Brothers and soda? I thought it was First of all,
- 46:07Speaker 1: there's not a lot either in La. I know there's
- 46:10Speaker 1: some like on the outskirts. I thought it was coffee.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Is they have coffee and then they have it's like
- 46:15Speaker 4: soda flavored soda water. You can get different flavors, and
- 46:20Speaker 4: then you can add boba and different syrups and the
- 46:24Speaker 4: whole you can make sugary concoction.
- 46:27Speaker 2: Yeah. So I always feel like, oh, this must be
- 46:29Speaker 2: what it's like at Swig, but maybe not quite maybe
- 46:32Speaker 2: not Yeah, I mean Swig and Taco Bell.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I mean this. Yeah, one thing the show does good
- 46:42Speaker 1: and they've done it like consistently throughout the seasons, and
- 46:45Speaker 1: I think that also then it's like a subtle way,
- 46:47Speaker 1: I swear to God where I'm like, you're also teaching us,
- 46:50Speaker 1: aren't you, which is to cleanly end communication wise a
- 46:56Speaker 1: date without with with being able to express how you
- 47:01Speaker 1: feel without thinking that it's going to do intense harm
- 47:05Speaker 1: to the other person, as well as protecting your piece,
- 47:08Speaker 1: because like I mean, I hear, I know because I've
- 47:12Speaker 1: dealt with insecurity and like what you know as a female,
- 47:15Speaker 1: I know that I've given my number to men who
- 47:18Speaker 1: I didn't want to give my numbers, stuff like dumb things.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I wish I could just go back and be like,
- 47:24Speaker 1: I'm not interested in you like that, thank you so
- 47:26Speaker 1: much that she was like that was I don't know
- 47:28Speaker 1: how to I can't do it, like I'm having issues
- 47:30Speaker 1: right now.
- 47:30Speaker 2: You didn't give him the wrong number?
- 47:32Speaker 1: Why I used to be a rejection number, but I
- 47:34Speaker 1: remember I had on my like I used to know
- 47:38Speaker 1: this like rejection hotline number all to be like you
- 47:41Speaker 1: didn't rejected, which to me sounds like the most nineties thing.
- 47:44Speaker 2: It's like, oh my goodness. Yeah.
- 47:47Speaker 1: But just to be able to cleanly be like, thank
- 47:50Speaker 1: you for your time. It was lovely talking to you.
- 47:52Speaker 1: It's not a match. That was harder everyone.
- 47:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that was proud of her for that easy to do.
- 47:59Speaker 2: No, I give I give them, I mean I give
- 48:01Speaker 2: them credit for that. And her saying because obviously, like
- 48:04Speaker 2: in the past, right, what would you have done? I
- 48:06Speaker 2: would have been like, yeah, sure, okay, yeah, and then
- 48:08Speaker 2: you just ignore their calls. You kind of dodge it
- 48:11Speaker 2: or you or if someone wants your number, you kind
- 48:13Speaker 2: of like give them some random number or something like.
- 48:16Speaker 2: I think that I talk a lot about the generations,
- 48:19Speaker 2: and I love to talk about this stuff, and I
- 48:22Speaker 2: always say that this younger generation, I mean, they're really
- 48:24Speaker 2: doing it right. Like we were so concerned about hurting
- 48:28Speaker 2: someone's feelings, about doing that and not realizing that, you know,
- 48:31Speaker 2: what hurts someone's feelings telling them yes, I want to
- 48:33Speaker 2: go out with you again and then never hearing from you.
- 48:35Speaker 2: You know, that's what hurts people's feelings. It's not that
- 48:39Speaker 2: one moment of being like, I just don't I don't
- 48:41Speaker 2: feel this.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so respectful of someone's yeah, time and energy. Yeah,
- 48:46Speaker 1: to be like upfront and like honest with them. It's like, A,
- 48:50Speaker 1: I don't waste your time, and also B, I trust
- 48:52Speaker 1: that you're like a whole functioning person that can handle
- 48:54Speaker 1: me telling you.
- 48:55Speaker 2: That I you know, I'm not interested sexually.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's you know, God, like I swear to God,
- 49:01Speaker 1: I'm like, thank you, thank you. Love. On the spectrum,
- 49:03Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I got ghosted earlier this year by
- 49:06Speaker 1: someone I've gone on three dates with.
- 49:07Speaker 2: I keep talking about it. I'm so mad. Why can't
- 49:11Speaker 2: you just the Were they really good dates? Was it
- 49:16Speaker 2: like I was shocked? Or do you what did the
- 49:18Speaker 2: date start to go downhill? Such a good question.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Of course, in the moment, I was like, I like
- 49:23Speaker 1: this person, I say, we you know what.
- 49:27Speaker 4: They were?
- 49:28Speaker 2: They were?
- 49:28Speaker 1: I thought they were like okay, But what had happened
- 49:31Speaker 1: was after the third date, we finally talked about real things,
- 49:36Speaker 1: and I didn't. I guess pick up in the fact
- 49:38Speaker 1: that that scared the ship out of that person. When
- 49:40Speaker 1: I that's a third date, I can ask you, like
- 49:42Speaker 1: what you're interested in, like what you want you know.
- 49:45Speaker 4: But yeah, it doesn't seem like a crazy question.
- 49:49Speaker 1: But at the same time, it's hard to be it's
- 49:52Speaker 1: hard for people to talk about what they want truly
- 49:55Speaker 1: like and whether they even want to admit what they want.
- 49:59Speaker 1: M it's scary to want love in your life. It's
- 50:02Speaker 1: scary to be like, I want to be in a relationship.
- 50:05Speaker 2: Mm hmmm. I think that's scary. And then there's also
- 50:08Speaker 2: a lot of people out there, and I've heard this
- 50:09Speaker 2: from my clients. I'm constantly amazed where you know you
- 50:12Speaker 2: you're scrolling, scrolling, scrolling that you have said I only
- 50:16Speaker 2: want to date people who want to be in a
- 50:18Speaker 2: serious relationship. This person showed up in that algorithm, they
- 50:21Speaker 2: went out with them, Yes, I want to be in
- 50:23Speaker 2: a serious relationship, and somewhere after they've had sex, doesn't
- 50:26Speaker 2: want to be in a serious relationship anymore, or doesn't
- 50:29Speaker 2: or after they've hung out a few times, Like I do,
- 50:32Speaker 2: think there are people that are miscategorizing themselves. So I think, right,
- 50:36Speaker 2: there's two parts. There are people that you feel like
- 50:39Speaker 2: you were you were, you said this is what you wanted,
- 50:42Speaker 2: and but we take that personally it's like oh no,
- 50:45Speaker 2: like this is you, this is you and your stuff
- 50:48Speaker 2: and you know, but themselves, yeah they do, they really do, all.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Right, broke anything about lying, well, I don't like it.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Hot take Yeah, anti lying not goods lying.
- 51:10Speaker 1: No, it's shitty and that's you know. And again, like
- 51:12Speaker 1: it's a beautiful thing to watch people just like open
- 51:14Speaker 1: and honestly live their lives and be unabatted about it
- 51:18Speaker 1: as proud as they are, like as as as like
- 51:20Speaker 1: comfortable as they are being like I'm on the spectrum.
- 51:24Speaker 1: This is it and I'm happy about it. Like it's
- 51:25Speaker 1: just the way that all we should all live our
- 51:29Speaker 1: lives being accepting of where we are and who we are.
- 51:33Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, absolutely, yeah.
- 51:36Speaker 1: There might there might be things we want to change
- 51:37Speaker 1: within our like situations. Maybe we feel like we can
- 51:40Speaker 1: get better or perhaps we can align ourselves to our
- 51:44Speaker 1: own values if we've like you know, drifted. But to
- 51:48Speaker 1: be ten toes down and know yourself is like such
- 51:52Speaker 1: a gift and it's interesting how some people have that
- 51:56Speaker 1: gift and some people struggle for the rest of our lives,
- 51:58Speaker 1: you know, their whole lives that are or ootypical where
- 52:00Speaker 1: the hell is Yeah?
- 52:02Speaker 2: Well, and also right, I think Emma telling him, friend
- 52:07Speaker 2: zoning him. I think also is it's giving because I
- 52:11Speaker 2: think another thing that people do, especially women, we are like,
- 52:13Speaker 2: well he's here, you know, you know, there's that feeling
- 52:17Speaker 2: of right now, yeah, yeah, he's here, he's interested. Maybe
- 52:21Speaker 2: I go on another date, maybe I do this or that,
- 52:23Speaker 2: and I do. I think that I see this a
- 52:25Speaker 2: lot with my you know, especially female clients, where it's
- 52:28Speaker 2: like you trust your instincts, like trust the fact that
- 52:30Speaker 2: you don't see this personing in like why do you
- 52:33Speaker 2: have to keep doing this dance just to reaffirm something
- 52:37Speaker 2: that you that you know? And that comes back to
- 52:39Speaker 2: that that knowing, And that's hard. That's hard because you
- 52:42Speaker 2: are trusting something that has not come yet. You are
- 52:45Speaker 2: trusting that there's something else better out there that I
- 52:49Speaker 2: know there's someone, and that's very hard someone right here.
- 52:53Speaker 1: Yeah, especially you know, there's so many different voices like oh,
- 52:57Speaker 1: you know, your expectations are too high, or you know,
- 52:59Speaker 1: so many things that you can think of in the moment,
- 53:01Speaker 1: they can throw you off of what is happening, like
- 53:05Speaker 1: moment by moment to be present with someone and it
- 53:07Speaker 1: can really cloud your judgment. I know of Yeah, I
- 53:10Speaker 1: mean I deal with I deal with that too. But
- 53:12Speaker 1: at the same time, it's because I also know that
- 53:14Speaker 1: sometimes I don't have a great mind body connection and
- 53:16Speaker 1: that if I could just sit with myself somatically and
- 53:18Speaker 1: they're like, wow, am I actually feeling like what? What
- 53:22Speaker 1: a what's my energy with someone?
- 53:24Speaker 2: Like? How easy is this communication?
- 53:26Speaker 1: And it's also interesting because we literally are going to
- 53:29Speaker 1: see people who you know start talking and it's kind
- 53:32Speaker 1: of awkward at first, and then the moment that they
- 53:34Speaker 1: can just vibe or they can just find the thing
- 53:37Speaker 1: that connects them, like you see people change. Emma's gonna
- 53:42Speaker 1: do that on her second date. But I want to
- 53:43Speaker 1: move on to James. James is an old favorite, honey,
- 53:47Speaker 1: and he is happy to be back with his friends.
- 53:50Speaker 2: Yes, James, I remember because I remember being there from
- 53:53Speaker 2: the beginning.
- 53:54Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, he likes he went to the Renaissance fair.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Yeah, bo.
- 54:00Speaker 1: James and Connor have like a grandiose a love of
- 54:05Speaker 1: the theatrical, historical.
- 54:08Speaker 2: Olden times is how yes, yes, yes, yes, James is intense.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Yeah, James to me has gotten more intense. And I
- 54:17Speaker 1: wanted to, okay, this is it's interesting. This is okay.
- 54:21Speaker 1: Connor and him again are now in the middle of
- 54:24Speaker 1: a relationship that they and they really have connected with
- 54:28Speaker 1: the people that they're with, and it does feel like
- 54:32Speaker 1: both people are in You're dealing with like some insecure attachment.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 54:38Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 54:39Speaker 2: I was like, oh, what was it, Georgie. I'm like, oh,
- 54:42Speaker 2: Georgie's a little avoidant. It's like, oh interesting, And I
- 54:47Speaker 2: was like, okay, I couldn't. I mean, Shelley, we don't
- 54:50Speaker 2: see that long, so it's hard to get a real
- 54:52Speaker 2: beat on her. I don't know what she was like
- 54:54Speaker 2: flxed by her by Shelley. Yeah, doesn't she seem it almost.
- 54:58Speaker 4: Okay, first of all, they since she's like thirty one
- 55:02Speaker 4: or something, but she looks much older and she and
- 55:06Speaker 4: she is she from this it looks like a ninety
- 55:10Speaker 4: day situation or you know, I'm serious, like she had
- 55:15Speaker 4: an accent.
- 55:17Speaker 1: I thought of some kind.
- 55:18Speaker 2: You're not talking about you're not talking about logan state.
- 55:22Speaker 1: No, she don't, No, I know that's so that lovely
- 55:25Speaker 1: lady is maybe from like it seems Eastern e Shelly
- 55:28Speaker 1: is from like sounds.
- 55:29Speaker 4: Like okay, okay, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah yeah. I had
- 55:33Speaker 4: a lot of questions about Shelley. But she doesn't say anything.
- 55:37Speaker 4: And James doesn't ever stop talking enough to talk about here.
- 55:41Speaker 4: I mean, he just his poor parents, I mean they
- 55:45Speaker 4: God bless them, but he never stops talking and they
- 55:50Speaker 4: just have to like stand there and listen to him.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Honestly, when he first came on the screen, I was like, oh,
- 55:55Speaker 2: this guy, he's given me Cody Brown vibes. Did he
- 55:59Speaker 2: reminds you a little of Cody Brown?
- 56:01Speaker 1: It's interesting they both have the exact like, you know,
- 56:04Speaker 1: it's not it's not kirty straight hair, it's it's a
- 56:07Speaker 1: certain kind of ram and hair. To me, this is
- 56:09Speaker 1: what happened. So James James, on his TikTok and his
- 56:13Speaker 1: like presence is an incredibly progressive feminist, like who that's
- 56:17Speaker 1: who he is. He he diatribes on TikTok about like
- 56:20Speaker 1: the state of for women and how like he'll talk
- 56:23Speaker 1: about it and he you know, like how marriage is weird,
- 56:25Speaker 1: how the woman da da da. But he talks a
- 56:27Speaker 1: lot about like the injustice of this world for women,
- 56:31Speaker 1: and he did a lot before. To me, he seems
- 56:34Speaker 1: on edge in more this season. Like in the past seasons,
- 56:37Speaker 1: him and his father like joke back and forth.
- 56:40Speaker 2: They give you like they.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Rip each other, and it's it's like they're like a
- 56:43Speaker 1: little vaudeville team, you know, like it's constant, like like
- 56:46Speaker 1: a back and forth of likeness. And that hasn't happened
- 56:49Speaker 1: yet in the three episodes. It does feel like he
- 56:53Speaker 1: is on a different level of like nervousness and panic
- 56:58Speaker 1: that he is talking so much. I mean, like at
- 57:02Speaker 1: the same time, I'm also like hean are you editing
- 57:04Speaker 1: it this way? Or is this is this like James's
- 57:07Speaker 1: new energy? I can't quite tell, you know, but.
- 57:09Speaker 2: But do you think this has got to do with
- 57:13Speaker 2: right now being in this relationship, he got the thing
- 57:15Speaker 2: that he wants. Now he's in this relationship, it's getting
- 57:17Speaker 2: more serious. Do you think like that because the poem,
- 57:21Speaker 2: I mean, I think that's the second episode, but like
- 57:23Speaker 2: you know, he's, yeah, he's full of anxiety.
- 57:27Speaker 1: I think that, Yes, I think that I think that
- 57:29Speaker 1: the situation was is that it's you know, when you are. Yeah,
- 57:33Speaker 1: I think that it's easy to be when you are
- 57:35Speaker 1: sat in being single and when you know, like that
- 57:38Speaker 1: is like your status quo and your mo but you
- 57:41Speaker 1: have but you do want to be in a relationship
- 57:42Speaker 1: and you get a taste of something that feels like
- 57:45Speaker 1: the thing that you wanted. It seems to me that
- 57:47Speaker 1: he is almost like is it Lenny of Mice and Men? Oh,
- 57:53Speaker 1: it seems like he is I know, intense reference. Sorry,
- 57:57Speaker 1: it seems like he is holding on to to like
- 58:00Speaker 1: a little birdie, you know, and wants and you have
- 58:04Speaker 1: to kind of loosen your grip. I see him kind
- 58:07Speaker 1: of like squeezing the fuck out her.
- 58:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, but just a good way to put it,
- 58:14Speaker 2: does Shelley. But I don't get this. I don't get
- 58:18Speaker 2: the silent. I don't thin get the sense. Sorry, I
- 58:20Speaker 2: don't get the sense that Shelley minds, do you know
- 58:22Speaker 2: what I mean? And maybe that's and maybe there's more
- 58:25Speaker 2: that we have to see, but she'd yeah, that his
- 58:29Speaker 2: personality is so big that it's kind of like, of
- 58:32Speaker 2: course you have to be with someone like this because
- 58:35Speaker 2: how else is this gonna work?
- 58:37Speaker 1: But then yet you're right, you said it, like we
- 58:39Speaker 1: don't know enough about Shelley because we never see in
- 58:41Speaker 1: the past seasons and we never get to see Shelley's
- 58:43Speaker 1: like parents talk and people talk about her, and truly
- 58:47Speaker 1: she might be like I literally don't want to ever talk.
- 58:50Speaker 1: It's so nice to be with someone who can just
- 58:51Speaker 1: fucking take the reins on that, or god bless, is
- 58:55Speaker 1: she someone who is like I don't know how to
- 58:58Speaker 1: assert myself and I don't know, I don't feel comfortable
- 59:00Speaker 1: expressing myself yet, And is this comfortable for her now?
- 59:04Speaker 1: And yet at some point would be stifling?
- 59:07Speaker 2: Mm hmm. Well, and do you think that his his
- 59:10Speaker 2: stance online sort of goes against sort of what you're
- 59:13Speaker 2: seeing here, Like here he's pro women and women having
- 59:17Speaker 2: voices and speaking, but you're the woman that you are
- 59:19Speaker 2: in love with, you don't even allow to finish the sentence.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Or no, that's the patriarchal world we live in. That Yeah,
- 59:26Speaker 1: I mean, I know, what a great point, Tess, But
- 59:31Speaker 1: he's so nervous that, like you know, I think that
- 59:32Speaker 1: also there's a thing where he's literally filling the time
- 59:35Speaker 1: with his voice, like he studies heard He's like I'm
- 59:37Speaker 1: looking at your face, like he's saying his welt. I'm
- 59:39Speaker 1: looking at your face right now. I'm justudging how you're feeling,
- 59:40Speaker 1: and it seems like you're feeling fine. Like those are
- 59:43Speaker 1: literal thoughts. And if you and if you were looking
- 59:46Speaker 1: at someone and having those thoughts, you know, if you weren't,
- 59:51Speaker 1: you would have to like somehow turn your mind. I
- 59:53Speaker 1: don't know, you would have to like be like, okay,
- 59:56Speaker 1: two things. I'm sorry cause can't finish a sense. If
- 59:59Speaker 1: he's saying that he's doing that, can he actually be
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: talking and doing it really at the same time, or
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: do you think that he's Do you think that he's
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: like willing himself to see what he wants?
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Oh no, I think it's I see it. I don't
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: know what your take was, Brooke, but I see it
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: more as he is all of us. We just see
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: someone's face and it's instant we know are they happy
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: or they're not happy. I think for him it's like
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: first time skiing. It's it's you know, all these things
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: that are second nature to many of us are not
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: second nature to him, and so I think for him
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: it's like almost when you're doing something new, like put
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: the pot over here. Okay, now I'm gonna put this
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: over here. I think it's very much like, Okay, I
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: need to I need to read your face. I need
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: to read your face and make sure that you're you know,
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: so I think he can. I think you can do it.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: At the same time, I just think that it's just
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: it's hard. It's and you see it, especially with Logan
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: and some of them in real time, of oh this
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: is this is this is challenging, like you have a
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: lot to think about. Yeah, yeah, you know. I don't
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: know what to say about him. I'm really.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: I find him really difficult to watch, honestly, So you
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: and James wouldn't work out, No, I don't think so.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: I think I would feel comfortable telling him after the
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: first day that this is I'll see each other again.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: He is a lot.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: I mean he is. I mean of all the men
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: that we met, I mean I would pick Connor, I
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: would pick Logan over him, but I would pick you know,
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Connor or Logan first. You know, I think there's a
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: lot because I think you know what it is. There's
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: a lot of intensity, and there's a little charm, but
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: not as much charm as Logan, do you know what
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: I mean? Logan has a lot of charm. I feel
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: like you.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Saw him in the ren Ferry. I mean, you know
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: he was he was chill back then, like you.
- 1:01:51Speaker 2: Know, yeah, compared to now.
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: Yeah, there's been a change, right, Yeah. Something is wrong,
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: something is really wrong. It's like he's he's like it's
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: like bubbling up and simmering and bubbling. It's like right
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: here and something is going to explode.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: And it's hard to really I felt very anxious watching him.
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: He because he was he would get kind of angry,
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: like if someone tried to interject and say something, he'd
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: be like, what, I'm not finished talking?
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: And I don't know what's going on with him? But
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: something has changed hmm. Love has changed him. Well are
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: you gonna do the better? Do you think that, like.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I'm gonna say this, what if?
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: What I mean?
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: I think that I think that there's a situation where
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Shelley might be playing nice and maybe like energetically he
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: does pick up on the fact that she's uncomfortable and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: that she's not saying something that like she like that,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and that she's kind of like one foot out the door.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Like I wonder if there is a.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: Part of him that feels that, and it's like what
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: we're seeing because she's not she of course doesn't talk
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: a lot, but like she's also not super warm or
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: affectionate or in a way in which I wouldn't be
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: sure that she's into him.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Mmmmm, No, that's a really good point. I didn't even
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: think about that. That might be what's happening. He's he's
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: picking up on what's happening unconsciously that and that's what
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: he's reacting to. It is possible, it is. I don't know.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I wish I knew more about Shelley and get into
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: her backstory. I'm I'm yeah, Shelley blink, you know.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: Need help.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: He says, you know, a marriage is putting someone's happiness
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: before his, And I'm like, well, we have to find out,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: like what her voice sounds like to even say the
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: word happiness.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Yeah, there's also for some reason episode one and if
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: you saw this, a lot of feet shots about him,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Well why was that camera man? Yeah, focused on him
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: like you know dancing in those sandals. Yes, there was
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: a logan too, right, there's a lot of like feet like.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember James is a lot because we saw
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: the t vos the tiva ti vos. I'm old the tivas?
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Is that what it was? I had these back in
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: the nineties.
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: No, yeah, yeah. First of all, I remember tvo as
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: being the first d Yes I were talking about that.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: I was like, girl, I remember that, but no the TV.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: But I mentioned Rainbows, which is like the most Orange
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: County nineties flip flop of time and space.
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: So please on the same page. Yeah, so I was like,
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: what is this all about? But maybe I don't know,
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: maybe they got they got a new camera man who's
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: got a foot.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Fet Twinton he works on. The last thing was pulp fiction. Yeah,
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: he it were you know, we're well, you know, he
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: just was so happy to meet someone who.
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: Hated pets and hated kids.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: And yes, he was like once he found someone who
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: was like, no kids, no pets, he was like, he
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: really wanted to put a ring on it. And there
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: has been enough like due diligence about whether this person
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: is for.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Him or not. Yeah, oh, you're right.
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: Let's move on to Connor though. Connor, we remember twenty
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: six from Florida. You know, also Swordsman honey, you know, like,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: oh yes, Washbuckler at heart, you know, like he's three
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: three Musketeers.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: He yeah, he is still absolutely into trivia, into stating facts,
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: has like the most you know, adorable speech pattern of where,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you know, unlike other people, he seems to like pause
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: sometimes in mid sentence, almost from a place of like doubt,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: and then carries on, I mean, I mean, I don't
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: you know, I don't know anything about what I'm talking about.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: No, I just know you're probably right. I'm just thinking
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: about it. What I thought was hilarious was because this
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: is something my son would have said, like when he
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: was a kid. He's like, oh, I got to remember
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: to bring up dire wolves on our date. You know why,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: what is dire wolf? I don't know what dire wolves are.
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: Okay, okay, what the fuck I'll tell you.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Thank goodness, Okay, I'm so.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Sorry, but dire wolves are like this wolf. That what
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: happened was, and he says it later, is that, yeah,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: they're like they you know, brought them back.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: They just look like snow wolves.
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: I don't know, they kind of look like, you know,
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: it's not Game of Thrones because like those things were scary.
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: It's just a white ass wolf.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: That looks a little Game of Thrones. E's m and
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: so they recreated them just like Jurassic Park, I guess
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: or whatever. And you know because of like their ancient lore,
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: Like he loves a Nordic He's like a big Nordic
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: lore person, just like how the LDS.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: Is connection, you know, like Cody Brown.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Honey, if we can about how Cody Brown's whole family
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: you know, like you know, live and die by the
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Viking Creed.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, they love it.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Anyway, So we're back at his his mom's house with
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: the step dad. He has his brothers living there, and
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: those sheets are still running about, and yeah, he is
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: going on a tea date with Georgie and he feels
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: like Georgie is pulling away. And we learned that they've
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: had group dates. Yeah they really haven't. It's been seven months.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: And it's interesting because we get to also see like
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: the evolution of the relationship between O, Maddie and Tyler,
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: you know, and it's you know, it's they spend You
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: can really see how connected they are, you know, how
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: different it feels very different. Seven months is like an
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: interesting amount of time. We just talk about seven months
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: in dating.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Because that's a pretty much I mean I think seven
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: month bitch. Yeah, But I think also there's some there there, right,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: Like you've been together long enough that there should be
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: some sort of sense of what direction are we going in.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: I mean again, I always tell people don't commit to
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: anything until a year. You got to see someone in
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: all four seasons, but that I do think that seven
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: months is this point of of like, either I'm going
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: to see this last season out with the butt so
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: then I can I can see him seven months and
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: songers Wolves, But yeah, I think And and the advice
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: from you know, the family is absolutely right on and
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: and it is. And what he really talks about is
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: like it is scary. It is scary because he's gonna
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: have to like open himself up and say these scary
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: things and she could just be like, no, I don't
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: like you. And and that's scary because they haven't even kissed, right, they.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Know they did. They kiss last season for sure, like
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: in the rain of the exact same scene.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Oh okay, they made it seem in the next Yeah,
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: in the next episode made it seem like this was
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: their first kiss.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: I know it.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: You're right, and you know, I guess it goes you're
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: right and It's interesting because to me, Georgie, Georgie I
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: feel like has subtly shifted from last season. I think
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: that when last season, I think that Georgie seem to
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: be a little more open with.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: Her affection towards him. Hm hmm, okay, because she did
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: not seem enthused. I was surprised by her response.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: But I know, yeah, I agree, especially because I mean, yeah,
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: we can we'll get into that. But I can't wait
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: to talk about it with you. But I completely agree.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: But I'm glad that he's going to again open his
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: heart and be able to talk about the things because
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: it's going to be painful. But you know, at the
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: same time, at least you get clarity and you can
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: move on and you need to learn and you have
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: like it's just such a respect for everyone to be clear,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: like with your intentions. It's also like the dignity that
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: you hold yourself in mm hmm.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, because he's not going to keep I mean
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: that's some of It's a bit of like, yeah, do
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: you want to keep going on these group dates and
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: sitting with the unknown and all of that? Right, what's
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: that Brene Brown quote? Clear as kind unclear as unkind.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: It's like that simple, you know.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you know we had we watched you know, a
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: very in charge of lady Danny pretty much break up
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: with someone because you know, she didn't she he wouldn't
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: have sex with her. You know, it's of last season,
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: so it's good. It's good to be clear and communication. Yeah,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: we are going to end episode one on an old favorite,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: and that is Madison, who is right now seemingly the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: picture perfect example of the show. She sits down and
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Kean asks how are you and did we find your person?
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: And she says, yep, I found love on the spectrum
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: and it's with Tyler, her cowboy that we met. Not
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: only that, like difference of relationships, she is literally moving
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: to be closer to him with her brother. Her parents
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: obviously are financially secure, and you know they are. They
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: are moving her and unpacking and the dolls. There's American
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: girls just like Foo's daughter. I mean, you know, all
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: the wheelchairs, all of the different like patterns, maybe one
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: of those like arm wars that you brooke. Did you
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: buy her everything?
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: Not everything, but a lot.
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Yeah. She had a little beauty salon, spa station where
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: there were bunk beds a lot of accessories.
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Oh plus using care bears.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: Not care bears, but lots of stuffed animals.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: So happy when she said care bears because I was like, oh,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: they're still around.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Do you know the scare.
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: We're Yeah, I think care Bears came along. That's after
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: time and then before my daughter's time. So I'm really
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: unfamiliar with the care Bears.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: God, care bears to me are late eighties, And there
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: was a movie that the care Bears came out with,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Yeah watch too Much that basically they go they all
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: get us some weird camp I don't even know, and
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: there was a bad boy at the camp, and that's
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: all I remember, except that at the very end they
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: all have to get together, hold hands, and care Bears
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: stare their hearts, love survives.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: Well, what happened to the bad boy? What happened with
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: the drowns? You know, he's murdered in his cabin.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: They could do they could do any fucking thing, But
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: in the nineteen if it's a nineteen something before the movie,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: they could have been I mean.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: Oh please, we're gen xers, like we are so fairal
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: I can't even tell you, like, no one cares.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: I'm like, what's the I'm I'm born in nineteen eighty two,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: so I'm like the elder millennial.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: I'm all right, you are. You are considered an elder millennial.
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: I know it. I know it, and don't be ashamed.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: I always say millennials have Millennials are the most misunderstood
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: and have gotten such ship from everybody, from every course.
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: You you everything, You've had a really hard time.
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: Yeah, like boomer is really hard to have a lot
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: of hard times. But at least they're rich.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, no, you're this is all the money. Yeah, no, no, no,
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: it's it's like I said, you all became adults at
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: a time where everyone had a platform to criticize and
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: criticize you and criticize what you're doing. They were worried
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: about us. They were worried about gen xers, they were
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: worried about baby bores, you know, because they wanted you know,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: the war, blah blah blah. So everyone's always worried about
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: It's just the unfortunate and then a lot of other things.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: The two thousand and eight crys. So won't get into
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: it us, don't get don't get me start. I will
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: shut up, Okay, sorry, really.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: No, I know we have to move on. I can't wait, though,
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: But okay, I'm gonna set up this date and then
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: we'll go on and okay, I'll just have this sate
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: a little bit and want me talk about it on
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: the next episode, which will be on your channel, and
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I'm super excited to have this collab with you all.
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: But basically, we start with a gorgeous set up date
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: that she gets to go on with her boo, Tyler
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: because now she's living right by him in Plant City, honey,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: home of strawberry fields. You know, strawberry fields forever. I
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: can make older reference anyway, it's a boomer reference. Yeah,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: I have all the references anyway. She they when they
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: first met, we realized they both love country music and
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: they both are One of their love languages is gift giving.
- 1:14:12Speaker 2: Mmmm well that was very obvious.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I mean, Tyler knows how to make her smile and
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: oh yes, by just giving her every everything, all the
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: food she wants, all the compliments she wants. He last
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: last season just kept bringing her like Pandora jewelry and
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: like different charms, you know, like he really, I mean
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: he's yeah, he knows how to treat a lady. But
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: this is their first Valentine's Day date and it's gorgeous.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: He like, it's this beautiful setting with waterfalls and tiffany lamps,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and she's so appreciative. She keeps mentioning, you know, like
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: she's never had a Valentine's Day she usually you know,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: she's never gotten here. And he says, well, y'ah, oh
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: my people break up with me before Christmas, you know.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: And yeah, but I'm like, oh wait, because because why
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: would they do that to like, if you're not gonna
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: be able to give them gifts?
- 1:15:04Speaker 2: Then that's why Tyler wants is so excited. He's like, finally,
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: finally I can buy a gift and give it to her.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: And he knows exactly what she wants, you know, like
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: the conversation hearts and then he gets her a plan McDonald's.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's like, wait, is this actually McDonald's. And
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: the way in which it settles upon her that it
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: is Yes, that's love.
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: That is love that again would be like Taco Bell
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: would be like, Chris, I'm like, this is a Gredo
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: supreme inscrounds predosupreme for you, So chelupa right there I'd
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: be like, wait from Taco Bell, Like, likewhere else be
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: talking about Taco Bell. I'd be like, look warm, I
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: mean like I would be you know, yeah, yeah, my
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: favorite is what she screams anyway, but we get to
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: talk about that on the next episode. All right, everyone,

- 1:17:07Speaker 2: various people and different industries about sort of like the world,
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: the mess that this mess that we're in and how
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: to make sense of it all. So and you can
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: follow me at test Brigham dot com. Mine's a little

- 1:17:28Speaker 2: Yes exactly, hates itself, yeah, exactly. And it's it's all
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: about framing. It's just I'm not It's not about labeling.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: It's about framing and helping people better understand each other.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: So yeah, yes, love that all right.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: My life, I just usually do two breaths and I
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: do my outro, so two breasts, just a mindfulness we
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: can just get together this is happening in present life.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: If you can some sort of like daily mindfulness practice
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: will help all of us have a better connection to
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: how we're actually feeling in the moment, and then therefore
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: respect for ourselves and hopefully anyone that we come in
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: contact with. So either just like using any sensory moment
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you want to bring yourself into this moment. Stop if
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: you are like me replaying every horrible moment for my
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: past and planning for like the perfect future, it will
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: never happen. So I put my feet on the ground
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and you can listen to my voice or any other
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: sound in the room, just for two breaths and feeling like, oh,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: for a moment we were all here together, and how
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: lovely that is.
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: I always fuck up, so I always give myself one
- 1:18:34Speaker 5: more opportunity.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: All right, my baby booz, take care of yourselves and
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: one another sind of for what you believe, and make art.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: My
