  Speaker 2: and that is the second section inside of this book.

  Speaker 2: So imagine you just moved into a new city. Everything

  Speaker 2: around you looks different, the streets, the language, the people,
• 3:51
  Speaker 2: even the food. You feel alone and confused, unassure of
• 3:56
  Speaker 2: what to do next. Then you meet someone kind who
• 4:02
  Speaker 2: understands your language and knows the city. Well, suddenly you're
• 4:07
  Speaker 2: not lost.
• 4:08
  Speaker 1: You have a guide.
• 4:09
  Speaker 2: You have someone here to show you where to go,
• 4:13
  Speaker 2: what to avoid, and how to find your way. That
• 4:16
  Speaker 2: God is just like the Holy Spirit in your spiritual life.

  Speaker 1: Jesus told his disciples in John.

  Speaker 2: Sixteen and thirteen that after he went to heaven, the
• 4:29
  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit would come to guide them into all truth. Today,

  Speaker 2: the Holy Spirit still our perfect God, ready to lead

  Speaker 2: us if we are open. Only if we are open.

  Speaker 1: Through challenges and choices of our everyday life.

  Speaker 2: The role of the Holy Spirit is it's defined in

  Speaker 2: John sixteen and thirteen. As we just heard it said,

  Speaker 2: when he the Spirit of Truth comes, he would God

  Speaker 2: you into all truth. The Holy Spirit helps us understand

  Speaker 2: that is truth and right, even when it's hard to

  Speaker 2: tell in our world. He doesn't just shout answers. He

  Speaker 2: leads us gentlely, giving wisdom and direction when we listen.

  Speaker 2: But you have to be open. You have to be
• 5:19
  Speaker 2: open to receive, being open to spiritual direction. Sometimes our
• 5:24
  Speaker 2: own desires, our flesh wants things now, fast and easy,
• 5:30
  Speaker 2: but the Holy Spirit invites us to go deeper, lets
• 5:34
  Speaker 2: our spiritual side grow stronger as we trust Him more.

  Speaker 2: This means slowing down, asking and seeing what God wants
• 5:45
  Speaker 2: for me, instead of just following our first impulse, which
• 5:50
  Speaker 2: sometime we do. So today I want you to do
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: a personal inventory at yourself. What choice am I making automatically?
• 6:04
  Speaker 2: Which areas do I sense God nudging me into? And
• 6:10
  Speaker 2: am I willing to let go of things that do
• 6:13
  Speaker 2: not honor God so that He can shape me again?
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: Ax yourself? What choices am I making automatically? Which areas
• 6:25
  Speaker 2: do I sense God.

  Speaker 1: Nudging me into? And am I willing to go to.
• 6:33
  Speaker 2: Let go of things that do not honor him so
• 6:36
  Speaker 2: that he can shape me. Are you willing to let
• 6:39
  Speaker 2: go of those things so that he can shape so
• 6:43
  Speaker 2: he can shape you and mold you into who He's
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: called you to be? So know that the Holy Spirit
• 6:50
  Speaker 2: will emerge himself. If we do those things, he will
• 6:57
  Speaker 2: emerge itself. As you practice following the Holy Spirit, you'll
• 7:02
  Speaker 2: notice something amazing.

  Speaker 1: You begin to grow.

  Speaker 2: The real spiritual you would start to shine through, and

  Speaker 2: you will find more peace, more clarity and purpose. Even

  Speaker 2: when life get y'all, hume a witness? How am a

  Speaker 2: living witness to that? Because sometimes all hell can be
• 7:26
  Speaker 2: going on around me and things can be going left
• 7:29
  Speaker 2: and right. But because I chose this walk that I'm on,

  Speaker 2: I'm grateful because if I had been back ten years
• 7:38
  Speaker 2: ago or even seven years ago and dealing.

  Speaker 1: With some of the things that I've had to deal with.

  Speaker 2: I'm telling you, if I did not have the walk
• 7:48
  Speaker 2: that I have now, I wouldn't been able to deal
• 7:50
  Speaker 2: with some of those things.

  Speaker 1: Y'abs.
• 7:53
  Speaker 2: That's how you know you growing. That's how you know
• 7:55
  Speaker 2: you growing in Him when you can go through things
• 8:00
  Speaker 2: and you can see him in everything I'm talking about,

  Speaker 2: when all hell and all chaos is breaking loose around you,
• 8:09
  Speaker 2: when you still can have your joy and you can
• 8:12
  Speaker 2: still have peace, but you have to engage with the
• 8:19
  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit.

  Speaker 1: You just can't just talk to him and just have them.
• 8:25
  Speaker 1: You got to engage with him. God wants us to
• 8:28
  Speaker 1: interact with him daily.
• 8:30
  Speaker 2: That means prayer, but it also means moments of listening,
• 8:36
  Speaker 2: reading his word, and noticing his guidance during our day,
• 8:43
  Speaker 2: a friend's encouragement, a sudden idea, or a gentle conviction
• 8:48
  Speaker 2: in your heart.
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: Y'all, we have to engage with him. We should be
• 8:53
  Speaker 1: this stuff.
• 8:54
  Speaker 2: That we're gaining, this stuff that we're taking in, all
• 8:58
  Speaker 2: this wisdom, all this knowledge, all these stripts. It's just
• 9:00
  Speaker 2: all this stuff that we're just putting in in us. Now,
• 9:03
  Speaker 2: we got to let it come up out of us.
• 9:04
  Speaker 1: So how do we do that? We got to share
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: it with somebody else.

  Speaker 2: Sally may be over there going through and she may

  Speaker 2: just need somebody to talk to, be willing to listen

  Speaker 2: and give some constructive words of criticism, to uplift, not

  Speaker 2: to tear down, but always uplifting, always empowering, always encouraging,

  Speaker 2: that's what we are supposed to do, one for another.
• 9:32
  Speaker 2: We're not supposed to tear each other down. We're not
• 9:33
  Speaker 2: supposed to break each other. That's not what He told
• 9:36
  Speaker 2: us to do. So we can practice spiritual discernment by
• 9:43
  Speaker 2: learning to recognize which thoughts and feelings are from God
• 9:50
  Speaker 2: and which are from our own desires and outside pleasures.

  Speaker 1: We got to be able to hear his voice and
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: knowing it's not us.

  Speaker 2: Because we we can trick ourselves and the thinking that

  Speaker 2: these losses that we hear is of God when it's
• 10:05
  Speaker 2: on our own desire and it's outside pressures.

  Speaker 1: So if you if you need discernment, all you.

  Speaker 2: Have to do is pray and acts He'll give it
• 10:14
  Speaker 2: to you. You can tell him to increase your discernment
• 10:18
  Speaker 2: and he'll increase your discernent and it grows as you
• 10:21
  Speaker 2: spend time with God. The more and more you spend
• 10:24
  Speaker 2: time with Him, the more and more you'll grow. And
• 10:28
  Speaker 2: then you have to seek his perspective. Now you got
• 10:32
  Speaker 2: to go in that world and you got to see
• 10:34
  Speaker 2: what do God say about this? What did Jesus do?
• 10:38
  Speaker 2: How did they handle this? And that is how we grow.

  Speaker 2: Takeaways from this lesson today. I hope y'all was getting

  Speaker 2: But take aways from this lesson today, y'all is one.

  Speaker 2: The Holy Spirit is faithful, and he's a faithful God

  Speaker 2: to every believer right now, not just in Bible times,

  Speaker 2: because a lot of times we like to think that

  Speaker 2: the stuff that is in the Bible is only for
• 11:11
  Speaker 2: the people that was in the Bible back then. No,

  Speaker 2: everything in that Bible for you. It's the basic instructions

  Speaker 2: before leaving earth. So if it's a basic instructions before
• 11:20
  Speaker 2: leaving earth, then guess who is for It's for you,
• 11:23
  Speaker 2: the person here on earth. Those that are in the Bible,
• 11:29
  Speaker 2: they're gone. They're no longer here. They're now our ancestors.

  Speaker 2: They are now the ones that are leading the way
• 11:37
  Speaker 2: by example. They gave us an example so that we
• 11:41
  Speaker 2: can see how it's supposed to be done. And then

  Speaker 2: we have to let go of selfish desires and make

  Speaker 2: room for our spiritual self to develop and thrive. So

  Speaker 2: a lot of us it's always MEMI me me. We

  Speaker 2: got to let that go, and we have to think

  Speaker 2: about the things of the Kingdom, the things of God,

  Speaker 2: the things that he would have us to do, like

  Speaker 2: going out and and doing community service and giving back

  Speaker 2: and sowing into the community. If you don't have nothing

  Speaker 2: to do stuff like that. Now, as far as spiritual discerning, y'all,
• 12:25
  Speaker 2: it is a skill one that grows as we listen
• 12:29
  Speaker 2: to God's guidance daily.

  Speaker 1: So guess what.

  Speaker 2: You have to sit down, you have to spend some
• 12:33
  Speaker 2: time with him. You have to read, and you're gonna
• 12:35
  Speaker 2: have to allow Him to pour into you. How are

  Speaker 2: we gonna do these things? I'm gonna tell you how

  Speaker 2: we can do these things? How can we do these things?

  Speaker 2: So first we need to schedule some listening time. We

  Speaker 2: need to schedule some praying time. We need to schedule

  Speaker 2: some time that we are going to spend with the Creator,

  Speaker 2: the one that created us. Take five to ten minutes

  Speaker 2: each day to get quiet and pray and ask the
• 13:10
  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit to help you with decisions that you struggle
• 13:13
  Speaker 2: with or things that you struggle with, and sit and
• 13:17
  Speaker 2: actively listen for his direction.

  Speaker 1: Again. Journaling, y'all, I'm always.

  Speaker 2: Gonna I'm always gonna say journaling because when we journal,

  Speaker 2: and there's some places in this book for you to journal.

  Speaker 2: At the back of the book and some places in
• 13:37
  Speaker 2: here for you to journal, y'all. Journaling helps you keep
• 13:41
  Speaker 2: a personal inventory. It helps you to stay focused, and
• 13:45
  Speaker 2: it helps you by writing down those areas of your
• 13:48
  Speaker 2: life where you have struggled or what need attention, you
• 13:54
  Speaker 2: can ask the Holy Spirit to show you and then
• 13:57
  Speaker 2: you can take the steps.

  Speaker 1: If you write it down, you can go back and
• 14:00
  Speaker 1: see revealed things.

  Speaker 2: See you, you can write it, jot it down, and
• 14:03
  Speaker 2: you can go back and you can reference those things.

  Speaker 2: Else fails and you're not sure, when you are not sure,

  Speaker 2: that you're sure, that you're sure, y'all. Always you have mentors.

  Speaker 2: Parents, we have friends, we have spouses. We have spiritual

  Speaker 2: leaders that we can talk to about any situation where

  Speaker 2: we need spiritual direction.

  Speaker 1: You also can ask them to pray with you for discernment. Y'all.

  Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit is real.

  Speaker 2: I am, But understanding that that is what he called himself,

  Speaker 2: wrap his arms around us. That that's what he's gonna do.

  Speaker 2: He's not come back down here to do nothing. He's

  Speaker 2: not doing anything new. He's our protector. She said that

  Speaker 2: he sent God, he sent Jesus to fulfill the promise

  Speaker 2: so that we would have the right to eternal life

  Speaker 2: through his life. But he came in the flesh, he

  Speaker 2: hung on the cross, he died, and he ascended in

  Speaker 2: the spirit so that he could come back as the

  Speaker 2: Holy Spirit to lead God and direct us y'all. So

  Speaker 2: it's very important that we recognize the Holy Trinity. That

  Speaker 2: is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Y'all,

  Speaker 2: it is real and we need him in our life.

  Speaker 2: We need the Holy Spirit. So when we're praying and

  Speaker 2: we are lacking something and we need something, we need

  Speaker 2: to go to the Holy Spirit. Ask the Holy Spirit

  Speaker 2: one that can do that. So I'm gonna leave y'all

  Speaker 2: created you, personally leading the way every single day. Trust

  Speaker 2: that even when you feel lost or unsure, you have

  Speaker 2: a guy who loves you, knows you and will bring

  Speaker 2: we're gonna talk about being inten and accountability, y'all. Those

  Speaker 2: we can that can hold us accountable and some of

  Speaker 2: those individuals that can keep us intentional, because y'all, it's

  Speaker 2: all about being intentional for the things of God.

  Speaker 2: It's not about not about competition, it's not about none

  Speaker 2: of that. But it's about being intentional and walking in

  Speaker 2: for the kingdom. We're all supposed to be doing something.

  Speaker 2: So whatever that something is, you have to find out.

  Speaker 2: And how you find out, you consult with the Holy

  Speaker 2: Spirit and allow him to lead God and direct you.

  Speaker 1: Y'all. I'm telling you, he will never lead you.

  Speaker 2: He'll never lead you astray, he will never lead you

  Speaker 2: down the wrong path. So trust and believe that He

  Speaker 2: is right there for you and that he's gonna do
