- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, y'all, we're back on kind of famous, breaking down
- 0:09Speaker 2: for you the best new dating show Love Overboard, and
- 0:13Speaker 2: the boat is rocking, y'all because there's a lot of
- 0:17Speaker 2: drama to unpack as we recap episodes five and six today.
- 0:23Speaker 2: All right, Heather, I have so many thoughts. I cannot
- 0:26Speaker 2: wait to jump into this episode. So let's start at
- 0:28Speaker 2: the top of episode five. Our new top side couple
- 0:32Speaker 2: is Delaney and Keith, along with David and Lowe. They're
- 0:35Speaker 2: still there hanging on Kari and Leela and Tim and Gia.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So you know what, I have to take a minute
- 0:45Speaker 2: and talk about my girl, Bella. I have a soft spot.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I don't know if you saw it, but she commented
- 0:50Speaker 2: on our social media and I am here for it.
- 0:53Speaker 2: I want to DM her. I don't want to hold
- 0:55Speaker 2: her like a baby and tell her everything is going
- 0:56Speaker 2: to be okay, because Bella is feeling Bradley in this episode,
- 1:01Speaker 2: but when she asks him if he sees a connection
- 1:04Speaker 2: with her, she gets shut down, and I am like
- 1:06Speaker 2: devastated for our girl. Bella says that she doesn't get
- 1:10Speaker 2: rejected where she's from and she's the it girl of
- 1:13Speaker 2: the Midwest. Right now, there isn't a connection with Bradley.
- 1:18Speaker 2: She's just focusing on winning the next challenge. I was like,
- 1:21Speaker 2: so sad for our girl.
- 1:22Speaker 3: I'm sad. But also, did you notice like Bradley has
- 1:27Speaker 3: kind of disappeared in these recent episodes like this like
- 1:32Speaker 3: chit chat with Bella, Like we're not seeing him in interview,
- 1:36Speaker 3: We're not seeing him like kind of in the background
- 1:38Speaker 3: like talking to people. We're not seeing him flirting with anybody.
- 1:41Speaker 3: So I wonder kind of what's going on with Bradley too,
- 1:45Speaker 3: And I'm watching it.
- 1:47Speaker 2: He's just hungry, Heather. We just see him eating snacks.
- 1:50Speaker 2: But I that bit when he is on the couch
- 1:52Speaker 2: and like totally dismissing Bella and he's like, oh wait
- 1:55Speaker 2: a second, babe, I gotta grab some snacks and he's
- 1:57Speaker 2: just pounding hips on the cow. I was like this,
- 2:01Speaker 2: I could not think up a better reality television show
- 2:06Speaker 2: than what we're getting with Love Overboard, the way he's
- 2:08Speaker 2: just gnawing on snacks and she is like, from just
- 2:13Speaker 2: like a psychiatrists point of view, and I am not
- 2:15Speaker 2: one mind you, I'm just a washed up reality star.
- 2:18Speaker 2: She is facing him, her posture, she is facing him,
- 2:22Speaker 2: she's opening up. You know, she's looking good, she's beautiful.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And she is like, so what did you think of me?
- 2:28Speaker 2: And he's like, girl, these nuts are so salty?
- 2:31Speaker 3: Well can I tell you? As I don't like to
- 2:34Speaker 3: spoil these things when I see them play out, But
- 2:37Speaker 3: that was all an editing trick in that scene. Like,
- 2:42Speaker 3: I don't think that she actually like was asking him
- 2:45Speaker 3: about feelings at all in that scene because we only
- 2:48Speaker 3: see her from the back of her head. We actually
- 2:50Speaker 3: don't see her lips move and we're only seeing his response.
- 2:54Speaker 3: So to me, that was all like adr like after recording,
- 2:58Speaker 3: and I think that they were probably talking about something
- 3:01Speaker 3: else because he wasn't even reacting in a way of
- 3:05Speaker 3: like somebody that was expressing somebody had feelings for them. So,
- 3:10Speaker 3: I mean, as funny as I thought the scene was,
- 3:12Speaker 3: I just don't think that's what was happening in the scene.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Listen, I don't work in television, so for a regular
- 3:20Speaker 2: old viewer, I ate it up. Heather, I was like
- 3:24Speaker 2: all about it. I was like, dude is enjoying his snacks.
- 3:27Speaker 2: He's just there for the good time and some good food. Really,
- 3:30Speaker 2: you know what I mean. He hasn't had a storyline yet,
- 3:33Speaker 2: he hasn't had a lot of play. And you know,
- 3:36Speaker 2: Bella is great TV. She's in a lot of scenes.
- 3:39Speaker 2: She's got a lot of really solid one liners. Her
- 3:42Speaker 2: little interviews one on one with a producer are so good.
- 3:46Speaker 2: She has very good sound bites. I just like, yeah,
- 3:50Speaker 2: I hook line and sinker. I was your regular old
- 3:52Speaker 2: viewer cuddled up on my bed watching it and I
- 3:54Speaker 2: loved every second.
- 3:55Speaker 3: But don't you think it's weird that like Bradley didn't
- 3:58Speaker 3: go for our new shipwreckers that come in this episode,
- 4:01Speaker 3: Like he didn't even.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Attempt Well, that's the thing. I don't know if he's
- 4:06Speaker 2: just not great TV and the other guys are. Because
- 4:11Speaker 2: there is a bit where he says, you know, oh
- 4:13Speaker 2: they're so hot he's in. He says Christine, is you
- 4:17Speaker 2: know that she's this hot?
- 4:19Speaker 3: Whatever he does, I only remember Jake saying that.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Maybe I'm dreaming it. Then I thought they both were like,
- 4:25Speaker 2: oh yeah, but.
- 4:26Speaker 3: This happens on shows, guys, when you see people sometimes
- 4:31Speaker 3: come in and they are funny at first and then
- 4:34Speaker 3: either they become really boring in the interview chair, so
- 4:39Speaker 3: they kind of phase them out and they stop using them.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Or sometimes people have issues on set and they are
- 4:48Speaker 3: difficult to work with or they're not having fun or whatever,
- 4:51Speaker 3: and it's not worth it to try and get them
- 4:55Speaker 3: to sit in the interview chair or give them the
- 4:57Speaker 3: screen time, so they kind of get edited out of shows.
- 5:01Speaker 3: And I'm actually thinking of a season of Below Deck.
- 5:05Speaker 3: I can't remember which one, but they had a stewardess
- 5:09Speaker 3: on a season who literally you never saw speak in
- 5:13Speaker 3: most of the season, and that's because once she got there,
- 5:16Speaker 3: she was like what I heard was that she was
- 5:19Speaker 3: completely starstruck by the cameras and just like staring and
- 5:23Speaker 3: looking around and just was awful in the chair, and
- 5:26Speaker 3: they just stopped using her completely and you would only
- 5:30Speaker 3: see her in the background. Sometimes.
- 5:32Speaker 2: I love that we get this perspective from you, because
- 5:35Speaker 2: I probably would have. I'm so caught up in my
- 5:37Speaker 2: other best friends on the show, like Bella, Enna and Andrew.
- 5:41Speaker 2: I'm so caught up in them that it doesn't even
- 5:44Speaker 2: cross my mind to consider what's going on with little
- 5:47Speaker 2: Jakie Pooh, you know what I mean. So I love
- 5:49Speaker 2: that you have this perspective to bring it, you know
- 5:52Speaker 2: what I mean, because now I will obsess over it.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Now I'll have to pay attention.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Now, look for Bradley in his mustache. Now look at
- 5:58Speaker 3: what Jake is doing. Always trying to keep tabs on
- 6:01Speaker 3: what's going on with everyone, And it's a lot to
- 6:04Speaker 3: follow on a show like this, for sure.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, all right, Well listen the next day, the
- 6:11Speaker 2: top Sider couples have a caviar breakfast. I don't eat caviar.
- 6:16Speaker 2: I have served it a thousand times on airplanes. But
- 6:18Speaker 2: I'm just like dying at these people. They probably also
- 6:21Speaker 2: have never had caviar. You can tell by their reaction.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You can tell Leela hasn't for sure.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, the way she is gagging at breakfast.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I love caviar, but I don't know if i'd be
- 6:30Speaker 3: having I actually I said I was thinking it, and
- 6:33Speaker 3: I was like, I wouldn't have cavea for breakfast, but
- 6:36Speaker 3: actually I would. I've had row on bagels and it's
- 6:42Speaker 3: absolutely delicious, so I would probably have a caviar bagel.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I would expect nothing less on, you know, a yacht
- 6:50Speaker 2: in the Mediterranean.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah. On the top side, I want lobster, I want champagne,
- 6:55Speaker 3: I want caviar for breakfast.
- 6:56Speaker 2: What else are we doing here day every day? Exactly?
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's fine where Gia and Tim. I believe they're getting married.
- 7:04Speaker 2: I just do. Gia says that Tim is bringing out
- 7:08Speaker 2: her feminine side Heather, and I'm here for it. My
- 7:12Speaker 2: brunette Jennifer Lawrence is just her whole aesthetic. I'm buying.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Leela feels like her and Kori are doing really well.
- 7:21Speaker 2: She feels romantic energy. I'm glad that she feels it
- 7:25Speaker 2: because I'm not seeing it. I don't know, is that
- 7:27Speaker 2: just me?
- 7:28Speaker 3: I think it's cute. I think it's lovey dovey. And
- 7:31Speaker 3: then we obviously later in the episode see them like
- 7:33Speaker 3: having their first kiss, so I kind of saw it there.
- 7:37Speaker 3: But I don't think that they're one of the strongest
- 7:39Speaker 3: ones for sure. I think Leela is really young and
- 7:44Speaker 3: still learning a lot in life in how she reacts.
- 7:47Speaker 3: So we'll get I'm in the most dramatic scene.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yet in this it happens well. We are moving on
- 7:54Speaker 2: to our power couple. Low feels confident that she is
- 8:00Speaker 2: all in for David. So here's where we see it.
- 8:02Speaker 2: We've been talking about lo and David from episode one,
- 8:05Speaker 2: how they have just come in. They're the mom and
- 8:07Speaker 2: pop of the boat. Everyone feels solid in their connection.
- 8:11Speaker 2: David is also feeling pressure to be this power couple
- 8:15Speaker 2: on the yacht, and David thinks that he and Low
- 8:18Speaker 2: don't have sexual chemistry. We see that again in this
- 8:23Speaker 2: little bit. We start to see, you know, in the
- 8:26Speaker 2: beginning of episode five, quite a bit of David in
- 8:30Speaker 2: his personal interviews and bringing up the just I think
- 8:33Speaker 2: the stress that he is under, you know what I mean.
- 8:38Speaker 3: He talks a lot about the sexual chemistry, and it's like,
- 8:42Speaker 3: my dude, it's not been that long to have like
- 8:46Speaker 3: this frustration over something. I think personally.
- 8:50Speaker 2: It's not been that long. But I don't know. I
- 8:53Speaker 2: do have a little bit of empathy because reality TV,
- 8:56Speaker 2: you lock these people in a room. There's no phones,
- 8:58Speaker 2: there's no anything else. All they have to do is
- 9:00Speaker 2: like fall in love. So they're you know, they're spending
- 9:03Speaker 2: a lot of time together, and it is it is
- 9:05Speaker 2: apparent that Low and David have spent a lot of
- 9:07Speaker 2: time together. We get them quite a bit, we get
- 9:10Speaker 2: their their you know, videos of them in their bedroom together.
- 9:14Speaker 2: They're clearly getting down. They're trying to have sexual chemistry.
- 9:18Speaker 2: It looks like they are together a lot of time,
- 9:21Speaker 2: So I try to have some empathy in the fact that,
- 9:24Speaker 2: like it's not a normal dating scenario, like back in
- 9:27Speaker 2: the real world, they would have gone on a date
- 9:29Speaker 2: the first week, then maybe two the next week, then
- 9:31Speaker 2: they would have slept together, you know what I mean.
- 9:33Speaker 2: We're talking in like six hour increments. They're moving so fast,
- 9:37Speaker 2: so I can kind of see it. But I feel
- 9:40Speaker 2: like we have been spending so much time looking at
- 9:43Speaker 2: poor David's torturous feelings that are coming up for him
- 9:46Speaker 2: because he's so used to plastic as he says, David,
- 9:51Speaker 2: Poor David, poor low, because she clearly is getting a
- 9:57Speaker 2: very different side of day than we as viewers are
- 10:02Speaker 2: are seeing, you know what I mean?
- 10:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because David is the ultimate fuck boy in sheep's clothing,
- 10:10Speaker 3: and that is I mean, we can go through it,
- 10:15Speaker 3: but he What I'm liking more and more about Tim
- 10:20Speaker 3: is that I'm actually seeing Tim like talking the talk
- 10:26Speaker 3: and walking the walk. He came in saying that he
- 10:28Speaker 3: is kind of like a reformed fuck boy or what
- 10:31Speaker 3: did you call himself? He called himself something along those
- 10:35Speaker 3: lines that he was like changing his fuck boy ways,
- 10:37Speaker 3: and I was like, I don't know about this guy.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I swoon, I swoon. Tim is also winning me over.
- 10:45Speaker 3: Yeah, Tim is showing he's changed, and we'll get into
- 10:48Speaker 3: it when he has that conversation with David. That's where
- 10:51Speaker 3: I was like, Okay, this guy is actually like I think,
- 10:55Speaker 3: growing as a person. David is the ultimate fuck boy.
- 10:59Speaker 3: He is the one who comes in textbook fuck boy.
- 11:04Speaker 3: He love bombed the shit out of Low. She's loved
- 11:08Speaker 3: bombing back, and he's not reacting and that's how, you know,
- 11:11Speaker 3: like what he's done has like really worked and wrapped
- 11:14Speaker 3: his you know, wrapped her around his finger. So he's
- 11:18Speaker 3: love bombed her. He's gotten I think, like we said
- 11:22Speaker 3: the day that he was really emotional about having to
- 11:24Speaker 3: go to the hospital and all that, I think that
- 11:27Speaker 3: was all put on. I think that was just to
- 11:29Speaker 3: get her into bed because they hadn't slept together yet.
- 11:31Speaker 3: I think that he's emotionally manipulative, and I think that
- 11:37Speaker 3: he is. I think he's got a really high sex drive.
- 11:41Speaker 3: And there's nothing wrong with having a high sex drive,
- 11:43Speaker 3: but I think that, like I think that is probably
- 11:47Speaker 3: what he's equating to incompatibility, is that he clearly likes
- 11:51Speaker 3: to like get freaky, and I don't think that that's
- 11:54Speaker 3: who she is.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Oh my god, I love this show so much. I
- 11:57Speaker 2: love this show so much. The casting on point, every
- 12:01Speaker 2: bit of his on point, and you just like nailed
- 12:05Speaker 2: it into the coffin. About David, I would imagine he
- 12:08Speaker 2: probably came into this and said like, Okay, I'm going
- 12:11Speaker 2: to be an adult now, I'm going to be on television.
- 12:12Speaker 2: I'm going to be a grown up. I'm going to
- 12:14Speaker 2: do this, and then quickly quickly digressed and realized he
- 12:18Speaker 2: could not.
- 12:19Speaker 3: He delivered it away in when he well, we'll get
- 12:24Speaker 3: into it, but he talks, he drops a little easter
- 12:27Speaker 3: egg about his ex and why they didn't work out,
- 12:30Speaker 3: and again it goes back to fuck boy ways. I
- 12:34Speaker 3: think whoever cast him knew he was a fuck boy,
- 12:37Speaker 3: and if they did their job, well, you ask nine
- 12:40Speaker 3: million ways about their past relationships when they're interested in
- 12:43Speaker 3: blah blah blah. And so I think anybody with the
- 12:46Speaker 3: person who found David knew exactly who he was, that
- 12:49Speaker 3: he'd come in here and put on this facade of
- 12:53Speaker 3: who he is because that's part of his game. There
- 12:55Speaker 3: are fuck boys that are outright and open like a
- 12:58Speaker 3: like a James. James is kind of like a juvenile boy,
- 13:06Speaker 3: My sweet James. I love him. Think he's horny, you know,
- 13:10Speaker 3: but he's ready to change his ways. That's a juvenile
- 13:12Speaker 3: fuck boy. David is a grown fuck boy. He's a
- 13:15Speaker 3: fuck fun okay, and that is those are the scary ones.
- 13:19Speaker 3: That he's the one who acts like he's got a
- 13:22Speaker 3: good job, that he's emotionally intelligent, that he's got it
- 13:25Speaker 3: all together, that he only has eyes for one woman,
- 13:29Speaker 3: these eyes for one woman right now.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:32Speaker 3: And I said this that the writing was on the
- 13:34Speaker 3: wall that this couple was going to get broken up,
- 13:36Speaker 3: and oh, for sure, they do.
- 13:39Speaker 2: You do? You called it? We have to talk about
- 13:53Speaker 2: So for those listening, I was dying when I watched
- 13:55Speaker 2: this episode. I was texting Heather NonStop, and she was like,
- 13:58Speaker 2: please don't tell me, Please don't tell me, please and
- 14:00Speaker 2: tell me. We need to just like coordinate our schedules, Heather,
- 14:02Speaker 2: so that we watch it at the same time, because
- 14:04Speaker 2: I need to know that you are dying at the
- 14:06Speaker 2: same time that I am dying. We have to talk
- 14:09Speaker 2: about our boy Andrew. We get this montage of him
- 14:13Speaker 2: talking about his hair and making sure that his hair
- 14:16Speaker 2: looks so good and that he wants a haircut. We
- 14:19Speaker 2: start to see him also unravel a bit, like we
- 14:22Speaker 2: knew that he was full of himself, and that's putting
- 14:26Speaker 2: it nicely.
- 14:27Speaker 3: He's a special one, that Andrew.
- 14:29Speaker 2: He really I love him too. I love all of them.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I just want to bring them to southern California and
- 14:35Speaker 2: move them in and just like live life with all
- 14:38Speaker 2: of my friends.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I know. The show is predominantly humorous, which is so
- 14:42Speaker 3: funny because a lot of them do have very funny personalities, right,
- 14:48Speaker 3: Like I wouldn't say David has a funny personality, but
- 14:52Speaker 3: Gia has said funny stuff. Obviously, Bella has been the
- 14:57Speaker 3: funniest on the whole shit gold Andrew's funny. Leela has
- 15:02Speaker 3: said some funny stuff, and so it's it's a really
- 15:06Speaker 3: enjoyable show when they're all like doing silly things. But
- 15:09Speaker 3: Andrew is so dead serious about getting a haircut and
- 15:12Speaker 3: then has an absolute freaky meltdown later in the episode
- 15:16Speaker 3: and like insists on calling his mom which is like.
- 15:20Speaker 2: His mommy is his mommy, And.
- 15:24Speaker 3: He tells producers like he has to call his mommy.
- 15:27Speaker 3: He has to and like people are not allowed to
- 15:31Speaker 3: call anybody on these shows, like it is like one
- 15:33Speaker 3: of the biggest, Like you only get to call if
- 15:35Speaker 3: it's a straight up emergency, and this was an emergency.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Hether we hear the disdain in his voice. He is
- 15:43Speaker 3: he is like in distress. Tell them what the emergency
- 15:47Speaker 3: was about.
- 15:49Speaker 2: That he got a haircut on the boat and they
- 15:52Speaker 2: butchered his sideburns.
- 15:54Speaker 3: I will say when he said it, I noticed he
- 15:57Speaker 3: didn't have any side burns. They would like they went away,
- 16:01Speaker 3: like put them all off.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Also, I'm just imagining a producer who is severely underpaid
- 16:07Speaker 2: in a back room with her you know, nasal clippers,
- 16:11Speaker 2: and she is trimming up his sideburns because he's about
- 16:14Speaker 2: to have a meltdown and will not go on camera
- 16:16Speaker 2: to woo Christine. And they really need these shipwreckers to
- 16:20Speaker 2: be wooed. And she is in this back room and
- 16:24Speaker 2: accidentally sneezes and butchers his sideburns. And he is this
- 16:28Speaker 2: vein that he is so devastated he cannot be a
- 16:32Speaker 2: part of the episode. He cannot bear to let Christine
- 16:35Speaker 2: see him with his hair this messed up. But he's
- 16:39Speaker 2: in his thirties, and I am living for every moment
- 16:43Speaker 2: of him laying in his twin sized bunk bed calling
- 16:47Speaker 2: his mommy to tell her what is he supposed to do?
- 16:51Speaker 2: But then the response from his mommy, Like, I imagine
- 16:55Speaker 2: myself twenty years from now Austin calling me and being like, mom, mom,
- 17:00Speaker 2: what do I do for this? And I just the
- 17:01Speaker 2: way she was like, what do you want me to do? Andrew?
- 17:05Speaker 2: Man up? Why are we crying?
- 17:08Speaker 3: But you could tell that's a that's a phone call
- 17:11Speaker 3: she's gotten before, and that is something she has said
- 17:14Speaker 3: to him before. That was not a one time thing.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Is the mommy the hairdresser? Like I could if that's
- 17:20Speaker 2: the connection? Is is mommy the one who does his hair? No?
- 17:24Speaker 3: I think his. I think his. I think he has
- 17:27Speaker 3: very few people in his life to call during times
- 17:30Speaker 3: of stress and he has to call his mom. I mean,
- 17:34Speaker 3: I will tell you that this, this this saga of
- 17:38Speaker 3: men getting their haircut while filming these TV shows is
- 17:41Speaker 3: a real thing. This is an issue I've had. I've
- 17:45Speaker 3: done several shows, several dating shows where men are like
- 17:49Speaker 3: I get my haircut every two weeks or every ten days,
- 17:53Speaker 3: I get my haircut. Will there be a barber on
- 17:55Speaker 3: set to cut my hair, and we will be like, no, no,
- 18:01Speaker 3: there's no barber, and then they will have to wherever
- 18:04Speaker 3: the local places that they're filming, they will hire a
- 18:08Speaker 3: barber to come on midway through filming on these shows
- 18:11Speaker 3: to trim up the men, because they will get very
- 18:14Speaker 3: annoyed if they don't have somebody come and trim them up.
- 18:17Speaker 3: And they always are annoyed by whoever does it because
- 18:20Speaker 3: it's not their hometown barber, and it's not the person
- 18:23Speaker 3: that they go to all the time. So I've heard
- 18:25Speaker 3: several guys on my shows at the rat parties or
- 18:28Speaker 3: whatever be like, oh man, that barber butchered my fade.
- 18:32Speaker 3: Oh I look so stupid in this Da da da
- 18:35Speaker 3: da like Andrew. They don't go to extremes is calling
- 18:38Speaker 3: their mom like Andrew did. But I have heard this
- 18:42Speaker 3: so many times on my shows that I've done. It's
- 18:45Speaker 3: a real thing, Oh my god, because these are manicured men.
- 18:48Speaker 3: These are men that, like, really, do you know, pay
- 18:52Speaker 3: attention a lot to their physique and their outward appearance,
- 18:55Speaker 3: which is totally fine, that's their prerogative. It's the same
- 18:58Speaker 3: way when women on these shows ask if there's going
- 19:02Speaker 3: to be glam included or somebody to fix their hair
- 19:06Speaker 3: or something.
- 19:07Speaker 2: I must have been the cheapest person that they put
- 19:10Speaker 2: on The Bachelor and the Bachelorette. I did not ask
- 19:12Speaker 2: for any of these things. So when I hear this stuff,
- 19:15Speaker 2: I find it so mind blowing. I remember when I
- 19:17Speaker 2: was on the Bachelorette, like once we got down to
- 19:19Speaker 2: like I don't know, we went to the Bahamas or something,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and I remember them saying, Hey, we can't afford to
- 19:24Speaker 2: take hair and makeup. Do you want us to find
- 19:27Speaker 2: a local And I was like, yeah, no, I don't
- 19:29Speaker 2: want a strange local person I don't know doing my
- 19:32Speaker 2: hair and makeup. I'll just do it myself. Like that's
- 19:34Speaker 2: how low key I am. At one point, I was
- 19:36Speaker 2: like waxing my own armpits in the bathroom of a
- 19:39Speaker 2: hotel rather than asking them to take me to a salon.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Like I just I'm maybe I'm stupid, maybe something is wrong.
- 19:47Speaker 3: I wouldn't call you that, but I would definitely say
- 19:51Speaker 3: that they got one over on you, because that is
- 19:55Speaker 3: a large network television show that you know owns Mickey Mouse.
- 20:00Speaker 3: They got money for glam. Sorry, yeah, sorry that they
- 20:04Speaker 3: tricked you with that one.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I listen.
- 20:08Speaker 3: We do get into our first challenge though of the episode,
- 20:10Speaker 3: which is storm the Castle. So for this all the
- 20:13Speaker 3: women are going to be competing, and this is when
- 20:16Speaker 3: we get two new shipwreckers. We get Val and Christine.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Christine she's twenty six and she will do a lot
- 20:24Speaker 3: of crazy things for love. She even hit a relationship
- 20:27Speaker 3: for two point five years. Christine, you're too pretty for that.
- 20:32Speaker 3: You definitely hiding a relationship and it sounds like that
- 20:36Speaker 3: was something you didn't necessarily want to do. We also
- 20:39Speaker 3: get Foul, she's twenty six, and you know, Val comes
- 20:44Speaker 3: in showing off all of her best assets, and she
- 20:47Speaker 3: says that people don't usually guess that she's a chemist.
- 20:52Speaker 3: I wouldn't have guessed that either.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I didn't. I didn't anticipate her being super smart.
- 20:57Speaker 3: I wouldn't say I anticipated her to not be smart,
- 21:00Speaker 3: but I wouldn't have anticipated her to be in that
- 21:03Speaker 3: field of work. And I would like to know what
- 21:06Speaker 3: kind of chemist she is, because like what she's doing,
- 21:10Speaker 3: because she kind of drops it and never talks about
- 21:13Speaker 3: it again, and it's like.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Well, so here we go being the delusional human being.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I am my mind went to she's a makeup artist
- 21:21Speaker 2: or she is a mixologist. You know, those bartenders are
- 21:25Speaker 2: now calling themselves like chemists mixologists because they created a
- 21:31Speaker 2: side drink to a sex on the beach.
- 21:33Speaker 3: If somebody is a freaking mixologist coming on a national
- 21:38Speaker 3: show and calling themselves a chemist, that person is going
- 21:41Speaker 3: to get their ass handed to them, doesn't matter how
- 21:45Speaker 3: BBL gorgeous their ass happens to be. Like Valves, no,
- 21:49Speaker 3: I think she's a chemist. She could be a chemist,
- 21:52Speaker 3: like at a university. She could be a chemist, you know,
- 21:56Speaker 3: when it comes to I could see her being a
- 21:58Speaker 3: makeup chemist. Honestly, I could see her being a chemist
- 22:01Speaker 3: when it comes to a makeup brand. But I would
- 22:04Speaker 3: love for her to expand a little bit more on that,
- 22:07Speaker 3: because she kind of used it as like a one
- 22:09Speaker 3: note and then like never really talked further about it.
- 22:12Speaker 3: She'd be like, she was just like, yeah, people, are
- 22:14Speaker 3: you know, surprised that I'm a chemist. It's like, yeah,
- 22:17Speaker 3: tell me more.
- 22:18Speaker 2: I wonder if she did tell more and they didn't
- 22:20Speaker 2: air it because she couldn't talk about it, because it
- 22:22Speaker 2: makes me wonder. We go back to the episode where
- 22:25Speaker 2: David talks about being a child's psychologist. Why if I
- 22:30Speaker 2: saw this show, I would never take my child to
- 22:32Speaker 2: see him.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Especially not after this episode.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Especially not after this episode.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I wouldn't expect them her to say,
- 22:40Speaker 3: like exactly who she works for, but I would expect
- 22:43Speaker 3: her to say, you know, how long she went to
- 22:46Speaker 3: school for it, or how or why she got into
- 22:48Speaker 3: it because her family is scientists or something. I don't know.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Maybe she will later, but yeah, they're not really focusing
- 22:55Speaker 3: on a whole lot other than these people are hot
- 22:57Speaker 3: and horny and single. So David obviously right off the bat,
- 23:03Speaker 3: thinks you know, Val is typically his type. Andrew recognizes
- 23:08Speaker 3: Christine from a night out at the club a year ago,
- 23:12Speaker 3: and Jake is also immediately into Christine, so we have
- 23:15Speaker 3: a little semi love triangle right there. So going back
- 23:19Speaker 3: to the challenge, the Downside girls can challenge a top
- 23:22Speaker 3: side girl. The fastest one to finish the race, which
- 23:25Speaker 3: is scaling the wall wins, So again they get to
- 23:28Speaker 3: choose if they want to challenge. So Christine chooses to
- 23:32Speaker 3: challenge Gia for tim. Gia absolutely smokes her and she
- 23:37Speaker 3: does not win. No one challenges Leela for Kari and
- 23:43Speaker 3: then Val challenges Low for David, and Low is immediately insecure.
- 23:50Speaker 3: She is just going like, I'm gonna tell this girl,
- 23:52Speaker 3: like this girl just showed up. She doesn't know anybody,
- 23:54Speaker 3: she doesn't know anybody's name, she doesn't know anybody's status
- 23:58Speaker 3: or whatever. And Low's like, I'm going to tell this
- 24:00Speaker 3: girl like we're in love. FYI like, just so you know,
- 24:03Speaker 3: I know you just got off this boat, but like
- 24:05Speaker 3: we're in love.
- 24:06Speaker 2: These are where my cringe moments start. I hate to
- 24:10Speaker 2: see this unraveling of Low because she is such a
- 24:12Speaker 2: beautiful girl, and because we are getting the pieces where
- 24:15Speaker 2: we see the different side of David. I hate to see.
- 24:20Speaker 2: I have too much pride, Heather, to do this. I
- 24:23Speaker 2: have far too much pride to go crawling for a man.
- 24:28Speaker 2: But listen, I'm single and I'm forty four, so there's
- 24:31Speaker 2: also that. But these start really big cringe moments for me.
- 24:36Speaker 2: For Low, she.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Got in too deep, too quick with this guy and
- 24:42Speaker 3: now drowning in her own obsession and love for him.
- 24:46Speaker 3: But hey, it kicks her ass into high gear and
- 24:49Speaker 3: she scales that wall and Low wins. Lexi and Bella
- 24:54Speaker 3: challenged Delaney for Keith they're not necessarily interested in Keith.
- 25:00Speaker 3: They just want to get their shot at coming to
- 25:02Speaker 3: the Top Side.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Well, they're not necessarily athletic either, Heather.
- 25:08Speaker 3: No, they're not. And poor Bella, she really had like
- 25:13Speaker 3: a vision she was gonna win this challenge. She really
- 25:16Speaker 3: like was going at it, and she definitely got herself
- 25:19Speaker 3: tangled in the ropes and then knocked Lexi out of
- 25:23Speaker 3: the competition and they could lose. So none of the
- 25:27Speaker 3: Top Side couples have to go down to the Downside
- 25:29Speaker 3: after this because all of the Top Side girls.
- 25:33Speaker 2: Won their man I was a little like, oh, I
- 25:35Speaker 2: wanted to shake things up a bit, but I am
- 25:37Speaker 2: satisfied with our shipwreckers. That really shakes things up, you
- 25:41Speaker 2: know what I mean. So I was like tooth and
- 25:45Speaker 2: nail when the two of them walked out, I'm like, yeah,
- 25:48Speaker 2: here we go. Let it begin. And it does. In
- 25:53Speaker 2: the Downside, Heather, Jake and Andrew are both interested in
- 25:56Speaker 2: Christine and they they're ready to see who she likes
- 26:00Speaker 2: the best. This makes me so uncomfortable, just the threesome
- 26:04Speaker 2: thing that they have going on. It makes me so
- 26:07Speaker 2: very uncomfortable. And the clips too that they show where
- 26:09Speaker 2: they're like in the one little tiny room with the
- 26:12Speaker 2: little twin bunk bed, and like you can see Jake
- 26:16Speaker 2: and Christine. But we see another moment where like Andrew
- 26:19Speaker 2: is just he doesn't see it. He catches on a
- 26:22Speaker 2: little bit quicker this time, but he's I would never
- 26:26Speaker 2: Heather would never sit in a room like that with
- 26:30Speaker 2: a person that I liked and watch them co noodle
- 26:33Speaker 2: with another person. I would never subject myself to that.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Andrew is not that sharp. He he really is not
- 26:43Speaker 3: able to read the room. I mean, I do like
- 26:46Speaker 3: what he ends up doing later with Enna and like
- 26:48Speaker 3: just kind of succumbing to what the reality is of
- 26:51Speaker 3: his situation. But he it takes him a minute to
- 26:55Speaker 3: get there for sure.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, I have too much pride. I need to
- 26:58Speaker 2: talk to Andrew after that. I think I'm gonna start
- 27:01Speaker 2: harassing him on social media. Anyway. Val has her eyes
- 27:06Speaker 2: on David. We see this. We know this from the
- 27:09Speaker 2: second she walks in. He's been talking about his type
- 27:12Speaker 2: and she walks in and I'm like, here we go.
- 27:14Speaker 2: It's getting good. She's in the game for herself. Bella
- 27:19Speaker 2: is bummed because there are no connections for her and
- 27:22Speaker 2: she's never been on the top side or one a challenge, Heather,
- 27:27Speaker 2: this makes her cry again, and I am like devastated
- 27:31Speaker 2: for our girl she feels. And this is where like
- 27:34Speaker 2: you just pull on my heartstrings because I do am
- 27:37Speaker 2: a damaged girl. She feels unwanted and unlovable. And here
- 27:42Speaker 2: we're seeing this. And this is the magic of television, right.
- 27:47Speaker 2: We take all these people, we put them on TV.
- 27:49Speaker 2: She is missing the emotional and physical connection with you know,
- 27:53Speaker 2: a man, which is her hopes when she got there.
- 27:55Speaker 2: But she also hasn't won a challenge, so she's not
- 27:57Speaker 2: feeling super great about herself. But in this moment, what
- 28:01Speaker 2: we get and I will not tell you that I
- 28:05Speaker 2: shed it's here, but what we get is real raw,
- 28:11Speaker 2: you know what I mean. What she does is pull
- 28:13Speaker 2: on the heartstrings of viewers and especially women in particular,
- 28:16Speaker 2: because at some point in our life we've all been there.
- 28:19Speaker 2: We have all felt unwanted by a man or a
- 28:23Speaker 2: woman for that matter. We have felt unwanted, unlovable, or
- 28:27Speaker 2: not chosen. And that's exactly what they do in that moment.
- 28:32Speaker 3: I know, and I think that I've been rooting for
- 28:36Speaker 3: Bella to find somebody, and they're just not bringing in
- 28:41Speaker 3: the right kind of amount of matches, or people like Bradley, who,
- 28:46Speaker 3: like I said, have just disappeared into the shadows and
- 28:49Speaker 3: is not willing to play the game. Like I don't
- 28:51Speaker 3: know what Bradley's doing, but it's not like canoodling with
- 28:54Speaker 3: a bunch of the girls.
- 28:55Speaker 2: He's not conoodling with anyone.
- 28:57Speaker 3: He's just eating chips or whatever. So I think that
- 29:02Speaker 3: Bella is like, Okay, if this guy doesn't even want
- 29:04Speaker 3: to pretend or play have fun with me, then what
- 29:07Speaker 3: am I doing here? Because I really don't like being
- 29:09Speaker 3: on the downside, and I don't blame her. I wouldn't
- 29:12Speaker 3: want to be signing up for a show and then
- 29:14Speaker 3: find out all I'm doing is having to stay on
- 29:16Speaker 3: the bottom deck in my little no window bunk room,
- 29:20Speaker 3: Like who wants that?
- 29:21Speaker 2: No? No, you get like nauseous and seasick. I don't know.
- 29:26Speaker 2: My heart broke for her. You start to see that,
- 29:30Speaker 2: and I at that moment was like, man, I hope
- 29:33Speaker 2: she rides out on top. I really do. We move
- 29:36Speaker 2: on to our happy hour. These are some of my
- 29:38Speaker 2: most favorite moments in the show because we just get
- 29:40Speaker 2: to see, you know, the mingling of all of our friends.
- 29:44Speaker 2: That's what we're calling them from now on. Heather Low
- 29:48Speaker 2: doesn't like that Vallas flirting with David. We know Low
- 29:52Speaker 2: is not going to like it because she has claimed
- 29:54Speaker 2: dibbs on her man, but we just I'm living for
- 29:57Speaker 2: every moment of what this downplay is going to be,
- 30:01Speaker 2: Like Andrews, let's lo.
- 30:06Speaker 3: For a second, for a second, here, girl, this is
- 30:10Speaker 3: your man, and he's saying in front of you, yeah,
- 30:14Speaker 3: I'll go chat with this girl. Yeah, no problem. He's
- 30:19Speaker 3: not saying, Hey, this girl right here, she's the one
- 30:23Speaker 3: that I'm actually super coupled up with, So let me
- 30:26Speaker 3: chitchat with her real quick before I come and like
- 30:29Speaker 3: chit chat with you, or Hey, why don't you come
- 30:30Speaker 3: and sit with us and like chat with us together.
- 30:33Speaker 3: He's being blatantly disrespectful to you girl, to her face,
- 30:37Speaker 3: in front of your face, and you're just letting it happen.
- 30:40Speaker 3: And then you're misappropriating your anger to the woman in
- 30:44Speaker 3: this situation. And this is what a clinical fuck boy
- 30:47Speaker 3: will do to you. He will make you turn on
- 30:49Speaker 3: another woman who you don't even know because he has
- 30:52Speaker 3: whipped you and he's making you look like a fool.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I hate to see it. I hate to see it,
- 31:01Speaker 2: you know what I mean? Like Val walked in what
- 31:03Speaker 2: a half an hour ago, and it's all her fault.
- 31:06Speaker 2: She is playing the game like that's what they're meant
- 31:08Speaker 2: to do. They come, they get on a yacht, there's
- 31:11Speaker 2: hot people, date them, do whatever. She's playing the game right,
- 31:16Speaker 2: and Lo is mad at the wrong person for doing that.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Absolutely, and Lo, this is like a huge, mortifying, embarrassing
- 31:26Speaker 3: lesson for you that you, I hope will never ever
- 31:29Speaker 3: forget again because this guy had red flags all over
- 31:34Speaker 3: him and oh my god, I just it just gets
- 31:38Speaker 3: so much worse from here.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I have I have so many thoughts as we go
- 31:42Speaker 2: on and as we see them all come back together,
- 31:44Speaker 2: and then you know, we know the show, the whole
- 31:46Speaker 2: thing is out on Hulu. I have so many thoughts
- 31:50Speaker 2: as to I would love to talk to Low. I'd
- 31:54Speaker 2: love to talk to her and hear her thoughts on
- 31:57Speaker 2: what she thinks now after seeing it all playback, what
- 32:01Speaker 2: would she have done differently?
- 32:03Speaker 3: We have to wait until we see next week's episode,
- 32:05Speaker 3: like the next set of episodes as well, because we'll
- 32:08Speaker 3: get to that how this how episode six ends when
- 32:12Speaker 3: we get there.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Okay, all right, Heather, Leela and Kari they have their
- 32:18Speaker 2: first kiss. They do it. I don't know why it
- 32:21Speaker 2: was such a built up moment, but like afterwards, I
- 32:24Speaker 2: felt like, oh, that was it.
- 32:27Speaker 3: I mean, Kari is very cute, Leela is very cute,
- 32:31Speaker 3: but Karai is very PG energy to me on this show.
- 32:36Speaker 3: I think he's like one of the Him and Keith
- 32:40Speaker 3: I think are very even keeled, and.
- 32:42Speaker 2: They're so safe. They're very safe.
- 32:44Speaker 3: They're very stoic. They're not overtly sexual, and so many
- 32:49Speaker 3: people on this cast are overtly sexual, so they kind
- 32:54Speaker 3: of just feel very like playing in vanilla. Maybe they
- 32:57Speaker 3: aren't like that in real life, but they are in
- 33:00Speaker 3: this environment. Yeah.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Well, I think that's the whole thing too, Like some
- 33:04Speaker 2: people shine and some people just don't. They get lost. Right,
- 33:08Speaker 2: here's the moment that I've been waiting for. Heather. In
- 33:12Speaker 2: this episode, we see Val. She pulls David for a chat.
- 33:15Speaker 2: They talk about their past relationships. Low comes to interrupt them.
- 33:20Speaker 2: This is where I start to feel really gross. I
- 33:22Speaker 2: start to feel really really gross. Low comes. She interrupts
- 33:26Speaker 2: the conversation. David doesn't like seeing this insecure side of Low,
- 33:31Speaker 2: which I like it all makes me feel gross because
- 33:33Speaker 2: he has created the monster. Right.
- 33:36Speaker 3: He also says he doesn't like it, and then fucking
- 33:38Speaker 3: excuse me, doubles down and does something totally wrong right after,
- 33:43Speaker 3: which only reassures her that how she's acting is appropriate.
- 33:47Speaker 3: So he's totally He's created this chaos and he can
- 33:52Speaker 3: say all he wants it. He doesn't like this insecurity,
- 33:54Speaker 3: but he is fucking salivating over two girls vying for
- 33:59Speaker 3: his attention.
- 34:00Speaker 2: They cut to him. He is smiling.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Heather in love with it. He's in love with it.
- 34:04Speaker 3: He's in love with it. She comes up and says
- 34:07Speaker 3: that we're in love, which is psychotic.
- 34:10Speaker 2: At one point in her interview is she's like, we're
- 34:13Speaker 2: in love or getting married and we're with child.
- 34:15Speaker 3: But she also says it in front of him. She's like,
- 34:18Speaker 3: we're in love, and she's like talking to this girl,
- 34:20Speaker 3: and it's like, you're psychotic, low. You just actually met
- 34:24Speaker 3: this guy like a week and a half ago. You
- 34:27Speaker 3: don't love him, you don't know him, and he has
- 34:31Speaker 3: messed with your head. He has made you, he has
- 34:34Speaker 3: made you. You're a very smart woman, and he's making
- 34:37Speaker 3: you look dumb.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We also see Val say the same thing. She has
- 34:41Speaker 2: the wherewithal to say, girl, you've known him for like
- 34:43Speaker 2: four days, calm down.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's very territorial and weird. And then David takes
- 34:52Speaker 3: this as a moment to be like, hey, lo, will
- 34:54Speaker 3: you be my girlfriend? And it's like this is just
- 34:58Speaker 3: helping to continue you the weird chaos that's going on
- 35:02Speaker 3: up here in her head.
- 35:03Speaker 2: It's like he just he's trying to reassure her to
- 35:07Speaker 2: keep her attached, but he's just creating more and more chaos,
- 35:11Speaker 2: and she is gobbling it up. Heather, she is, I mean,
- 35:15Speaker 2: she's she is like hooked, hooked has been since day one.
- 35:20Speaker 2: And uh, he's just it's like he's We're watching him
- 35:25Speaker 2: spin out of control. He doesn't know how to stop
- 35:28Speaker 2: the ride and get off, so he just keeps it
- 35:30Speaker 2: going full speed ahead.
- 35:32Speaker 3: I just think that I've talked to so many f
- 35:35Speaker 3: boys in my career and in my life that there's
- 35:39Speaker 3: this misconception that fuck boys don't have girlfriends. They do, Guys,
- 35:45Speaker 3: they do. They do get into relationships and then they
- 35:48Speaker 3: fuck them up. That is part they like human connection
- 35:53Speaker 3: and they want to like relationships because they think that
- 35:56Speaker 3: that's what they should be doing. But they have really bad,
- 36:00Speaker 3: wandering eyes, and that is what gets them into trouble.
- 36:05Speaker 3: They try to put themselves in boxes that they think
- 36:08Speaker 3: they're supposed to be in, whether that's from family pressure,
- 36:11Speaker 3: societal pressure. And then once they put themselves in the box,
- 36:15Speaker 3: all they want to do is get out of the box.
- 36:17Speaker 3: So then they self sabotage. So we are seeing David
- 36:20Speaker 3: forcing himself into a box that he doesn't want to
- 36:23Speaker 3: be in, and then we're going to watch himself sabotage
- 36:26Speaker 3: five seconds later.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I'm here for every bit of it. I don't know
- 36:32Speaker 2: if you noticed this, and I'm so curious as to
- 36:36Speaker 2: your just TV background. Our weird Jose Cuervo situation. It
- 36:43Speaker 2: felt very off for me, like very forced, and maybe
- 36:46Speaker 2: this was product placement, you tell me. But also we
- 36:48Speaker 2: did it with Keith who doesn't drink.
- 36:51Speaker 3: It was weird to have, Yes, Keith who doesn't drink.
- 36:54Speaker 2: He doesn't drink, but he made it for Delaney, right, Yeah.
- 37:00Speaker 2: But then there's a weird moment at the end where
- 37:01Speaker 2: they're cheersing, and do you know what I did as
- 37:03Speaker 2: a viewer, I'm like, oh, I wonder if his is
- 37:05Speaker 2: a mocktail or, Like, oh, he didn't drink it, like
- 37:08Speaker 2: I'm just it felt both this and the perfume and
- 37:13Speaker 2: the previous episode it felt really missed, like Okay, perfect opportunity,
- 37:17Speaker 2: let's stick in some product placement. It doesn't fit, but
- 37:19Speaker 2: like we'll wing it.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Yeah. So I did a television show that was partnered
- 37:24Speaker 3: with Jose Quervo, and what they did was every single time,
- 37:28Speaker 3: every single episode, when they had their happy hour, it
- 37:32Speaker 3: started at the bar and every one of them had
- 37:35Speaker 3: Jose Quervo on top of the bar, and then you
- 37:37Speaker 3: would hear every now and then you'd hear somebody order
- 37:40Speaker 3: and be like I'll take a silver tequila or I'll
- 37:43Speaker 3: take a silver margarita.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That feels better.
- 37:46Speaker 3: It felt natural. But then they all were walking around
- 37:49Speaker 3: with cups that said Jose Quervo on them, which was
- 37:52Speaker 3: like way more obnoxious and in your face, like this
- 37:55Speaker 3: is like it's in here for two minutes and then
- 37:58Speaker 3: we don't ever see Jose Qui again. But yes, this
- 38:02Speaker 3: is another product integration within an episode. And they probably
- 38:06Speaker 3: were drinking Jose Cuervo probably the entire time they were
- 38:09Speaker 3: on the boat.
- 38:20Speaker 2: Jake and Christine finally chat. Andrew is getting frustrated. He's
- 38:25Speaker 2: freaking out about his hair and not talking to Christine.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Andrew reminds Christine that they've met in the past. I
- 38:31Speaker 2: had a little chuckle at this because Christine She's like, cool, cool, cool, bra.
- 38:37Speaker 3: This is so Andrew. This is so Andrew to have
- 38:40Speaker 3: had a moment and then followed somebody on Instagram and
- 38:43Speaker 3: then they don't have any recollection of meeting him.
- 38:46Speaker 2: You can see it across her face. Heather, She's like,
- 38:49Speaker 2: oh wow.
- 38:52Speaker 3: I bet you Christine gets millions of guys in her DMS.
- 38:56Speaker 3: I bet she meets a ton of guys at the
- 38:57Speaker 3: club on a nightly basis, and nothing happen, happens. And
- 39:01Speaker 3: Andrew is just Andrew. You're so funny. You're like you're
- 39:05Speaker 3: funny without trying, which is what also is so funny
- 39:08Speaker 3: about it, is like, you're just so awkward, and of
- 39:12Speaker 3: course you would have met a hot girl, followed her
- 39:15Speaker 3: on Instagram, reminded her that you met, and then her
- 39:17Speaker 3: be like, uh.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Huh cool cool, buruh. All right, this is one of
- 39:22Speaker 2: the biggest moments that I have been waiting for. We
- 39:26Speaker 2: get Bella and she you know, we get the moments.
- 39:29Speaker 2: Everybody's like, where's Bella. Where's Bella? And then we get
- 39:32Speaker 2: her downstairs in her little room and she's getting all
- 39:36Speaker 2: dolled up and she's in this beautiful dress, this like
- 39:40Speaker 2: see through, like Jim Ryanstone dress. I would have loved
- 39:44Speaker 2: to have seen her chosen a different bra with this dress.
- 39:50Speaker 2: And I know you're laughing at me, Heather, but from
- 39:55Speaker 2: the perspective, we saw so much of her back. I
- 39:58Speaker 2: was like, what's with this her back sports bra and
- 40:01Speaker 2: this gorgeous dress, Like she's so beautiful. I would have
- 40:05Speaker 2: loved to have seen her chosen a different bra, are
- 40:08Speaker 2: none at all? Because she paid all that money for
- 40:10Speaker 2: those beautiful breasts, Like just the cover the nips, girl,
- 40:15Speaker 2: and like wing it, be your best self. But I
- 40:18Speaker 2: will give it to her because she looks gorgeous and
- 40:22Speaker 2: she owns this moment. And she goes up to our
- 40:26Speaker 2: friends and she gives her little speech and then Bella
- 40:31Speaker 2: announces that she's leaving the yacht, and I was so
- 40:36Speaker 2: so sad, Heather. I'm like, I'm like devastated. This these
- 40:40Speaker 2: two episodes truly rocked me to my core and this
- 40:44Speaker 2: makes me so sad. I'm also like, you go, girl,
- 40:48Speaker 2: like go out on a high note. But then I'm
- 40:49Speaker 2: also like, but how will I sleep at night?
- 40:52Speaker 3: I genuinely didn't see this coming. I thought, if I'm
- 40:57Speaker 3: a producer on this show, I'm begging Belle to stay,
- 41:00Speaker 3: I'm going to be like, there's more men coming, Bella, stay, stay,
- 41:04Speaker 3: stay safe, stay, and you know. But the fact that
- 41:08Speaker 3: they just let her go, oh my god, I just
- 41:11Speaker 3: did not see it coming. I really thought she was
- 41:13Speaker 3: my next Amaya, Papaya. You are Bella. I think that
- 41:17Speaker 3: you are going to find love. I tell this to
- 41:20Speaker 3: a lot of people that do dating shows. It's very
- 41:23Speaker 3: unlikely for people to find love, long lasting love on
- 41:27Speaker 3: a dating show. But what I do tell people is
- 41:30Speaker 3: if you get the opportunity, it is quiet time to
- 41:34Speaker 3: focus on love that you're never going to get again
- 41:37Speaker 3: in your life. It's going to be without work, without bills,
- 41:40Speaker 3: without your phone. You're just focusing on finding a connection.
- 41:43Speaker 3: And you should take that opportunity not only to see
- 41:46Speaker 3: if you do find a connection, but use it to
- 41:49Speaker 3: put yourself out there to the world and what you're
- 41:51Speaker 3: looking for in terms of a partner and what you
- 41:53Speaker 3: bring to the table. Because I truly believe and I
- 41:57Speaker 3: know this because I've seen it happen so many times
- 42:00Speaker 3: that if you put out the universe and use this
- 42:03Speaker 3: platform about the kind of love you want when you
- 42:06Speaker 3: get off the show, you will receive it. You don't
- 42:08Speaker 3: know who's watching, you don't know who knows who, who's
- 42:11Speaker 3: going to walk into your life from opportunities that you
- 42:13Speaker 3: get now from being on the show. And I have
- 42:17Speaker 3: no doubt, no doubt that Bella is going to find
- 42:21Speaker 3: somebody who loves and appreciates her. It might not be
- 42:23Speaker 3: right away, but it's going to happen now that she
- 42:27Speaker 3: has shown what a pure, genuine, sweet person she is
- 42:31Speaker 3: through this experience.
- 42:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, one thousand percent agree. And being someone who
- 42:36Speaker 2: was on reality TV for a couple of seasons, I
- 42:40Speaker 2: did some of my biggest growth and learning during those situations,
- 42:44Speaker 2: the stuff that you are are dealt and the scenarios
- 42:48Speaker 2: while the world watches. You know, I just grew so
- 42:52Speaker 2: much as a woman and in my emotional state the
- 42:57Speaker 2: things that I would tolerate. And I hope that for her,
- 42:59Speaker 2: because listen, I would love it if she went from
- 43:02Speaker 2: this to another dating show. I haven't had enough of
- 43:04Speaker 2: her and I need more of Bella.
- 43:09Speaker 3: So if I'm a producer, and I get a season
- 43:11Speaker 3: two on this Bella is the kind of person you
- 43:13Speaker 3: bring back for assess the second you make her the
- 43:16Speaker 3: first one to like hopefully find a match, and you
- 43:20Speaker 3: if you know that you're bringing her back, then you
- 43:22Speaker 3: actually purposely cast some people specifically for her in the
- 43:27Speaker 3: attempt to connect. So I think if we had a
- 43:32Speaker 3: season two of this show, I think we see Bella
- 43:35Speaker 3: back on if she's not in a relationship when they're filming.
- 43:38Speaker 2: You just made my day, Heather. You just let's call
- 43:41Speaker 2: our people. Let's call all our people. Bella's got to
- 43:43Speaker 2: come back. Yeah, she has to. All right, we're moving on.
- 43:47Speaker 2: The next day, we see that Gabby rewards Val to
- 43:51Speaker 2: have a date with the top side man of her choice.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I'm living for this. Val goes up. She asks David
- 43:58Speaker 2: to join her on a date to clear things up
- 44:02Speaker 2: a little bit, and shocker, Heather, David agrees to go.
- 44:09Speaker 3: And guess what David doesn't do. He doesn't turn to
- 44:12Speaker 3: his girlfriend, yeah because low's his girlfriend as of last night,
- 44:16Speaker 3: doesn't turn to his girlfriend and say, hey, girlfriend, do
- 44:20Speaker 3: you mind if I go on a date with this woman?
- 44:22Speaker 3: Or he doesn't say you know what, Val really nice
- 44:26Speaker 3: to have met you. Actually, last night I coupled up
- 44:29Speaker 3: with her, So I'm going to respectfully have to decline.
- 44:31Speaker 3: The dude says yes in five seconds, Low, if you
- 44:36Speaker 3: I would be I would be saying to him, excuse me, sir.
- 44:39Speaker 3: We're in a couple now. So that means you actually
- 44:41Speaker 3: don't go leave the boat and go on a date
- 44:44Speaker 3: with this girl. You can get to know her here
- 44:46Speaker 3: on the boat when we're hanging out, when we're having breakfast.
- 44:49Speaker 3: I mean the fact that Low just sits back and
- 44:51Speaker 3: is like, yeah.
- 44:54Speaker 2: I'm going to take a nap.
- 44:56Speaker 3: I'm rolling my eyes. Guys, you can't see it, but
- 44:58Speaker 3: I'm rolling my eyes because actually got the writing is
- 45:02Speaker 3: literally on the wall.
- 45:03Speaker 2: Well we know from this moment like things have gone awry,
- 45:07Speaker 2: you know, and I'm with you that, Like he could
- 45:10Speaker 2: have said no, but let's be honest, our boy, David,
- 45:14Speaker 2: he wanted to go. He wanted to fuck around and
- 45:15Speaker 2: find out, and that's exactly what goes down.
- 45:19Speaker 3: Of course, But as anybody who watches Love Island knows,
- 45:23Speaker 3: because this is a straight ripoff of Love Island. Right
- 45:27Speaker 3: on Love Island, they're called bombshells on this show. They're
- 45:29Speaker 3: called shipwreckers. This happens as the show goes on. These
- 45:33Speaker 3: people come in late in the season. People are semi
- 45:35Speaker 3: coupled up on Love Island. We see them go and go.
- 45:39Speaker 3: You know what, let me go ask my person first,
- 45:43Speaker 3: or tell my person, Hey, I'm going to go on
- 45:45Speaker 3: a date with so and so. The fact that David
- 45:49Speaker 3: is one of the older men on this ship, guys,
- 45:54Speaker 3: just please, this is a lesson in fuck boy behavior.
- 45:57Speaker 3: This is just everybody who's watching, please, ladies take note.
- 46:02Speaker 2: It all is about to go down, Heather. They go
- 46:08Speaker 2: for a spa treatment to increase blood circulation. So here
- 46:14Speaker 2: we are David and our girl val Have.
- 46:17Speaker 3: You ever been slapped with a cactus before?
- 46:20Speaker 2: No? No, I was like dying. But it's not just that.
- 46:26Speaker 2: The way he starts like he's slapping her on the back,
- 46:28Speaker 2: and he works his way down and he is slapping
- 46:31Speaker 2: her gigantic booty and you can see the ripple on
- 46:35Speaker 2: that nice ass of hers. And you know he's watching too, Heather.
- 46:40Speaker 3: You see what I wrote, I wrote, slaps her butt?
- 46:43Speaker 3: Nice boyfriend? Like what?
- 46:48Speaker 2: There are so many things about this date and the
- 46:51Speaker 2: way he is like drizzling honey, all over her back.
- 46:56Speaker 2: I am just listen as a viewer, and I'm watching this.
- 47:00Speaker 2: I am disgusted that he is someone's boyfriend, right you okay,
- 47:05Speaker 2: if we give him, you know, all shits aside. He
- 47:07Speaker 2: goes on this date, he's going to get to know her,
- 47:11Speaker 2: but he still can play it respectfully. We have seen
- 47:13Speaker 2: it in the show. Gia did it. Gia did it.
- 47:16Speaker 2: She didn't make out with Tim because she's worried about Bo.
- 47:19Speaker 3: We've seen multiple people say I'm not going to kiss
- 47:23Speaker 3: you right now, Oh it's too soon, People backing people's
- 47:26Speaker 3: faces away.
- 47:27Speaker 2: David goes in head first. He had no issues with
- 47:34Speaker 2: any of this. Nothing is holding him back at this point.
- 47:40Speaker 2: After the cactus and the honey, we don't stop there, Heather,
- 47:43Speaker 2: they take a shower together. I had to sit up
- 47:47Speaker 2: in My mouth was gaping open. I did not need
- 47:51Speaker 2: the instructural, you know, wording at the bottom. I knew
- 47:56Speaker 2: what was going on. I literally was like, holy smokes,
- 48:00Speaker 2: she's giving him a bee j in the shower. Right now.
- 48:03Speaker 2: They've known each other for four seconds and they are
- 48:06Speaker 2: already getting down that.
- 48:08Speaker 3: To me, I'm very cognizant. I am in what I'm
- 48:12Speaker 3: about to say, I am not slut shaming val in
- 48:16Speaker 3: any way. I think that being sexually free and open
- 48:22Speaker 3: is to each their own and everybody's own prerogative. So
- 48:27Speaker 3: sometimes I understand that people feel the chemistry super soon
- 48:30Speaker 3: and they want to, you know, test drive the car
- 48:32Speaker 3: as soon as they pull up to the lot, and
- 48:34Speaker 3: that's to each their own. But we all have to
- 48:38Speaker 3: remember too that she is there because she knows there's
- 48:41Speaker 3: a plank ceremony as soon as she gets back there.
- 48:44Speaker 3: So is she doing this because she's really feeling it
- 48:47Speaker 3: with this guy, or is she like, I know, this
- 48:49Speaker 3: is how I close the deal, and this is how
- 48:51Speaker 3: I stay on. I just got on this boat. I'm
- 48:53Speaker 3: not ready to leave. Or is she just super open
- 48:55Speaker 3: sexually and this is kind of like not a big
- 48:58Speaker 3: deal to her and she just would rather see Now,
- 49:00Speaker 3: David is the one who sets the tone in this scenario,
- 49:05Speaker 3: and he had nine million ways to make this be
- 49:10Speaker 3: a different scenario, and this is what he chose to
- 49:13Speaker 3: participate in. As far as I'm aware, they're not drunk
- 49:16Speaker 3: while they're doing this. As far as I'm aware, it's
- 49:19Speaker 3: happening like in the early morning afternoon, so there's not
- 49:24Speaker 3: like inhibitions or anything blocking his judgment. David is freaky,
- 49:30Speaker 3: and that's totally fine, But you just committed yourself to
- 49:33Speaker 3: being somebody's boyfriend less than twenty four hours ago. So
- 49:37Speaker 3: you are the ultimate fuck boy. You're the king of
- 49:40Speaker 3: the fuck boys on this ship. And what I don't
- 49:43Speaker 3: like is the immediate like remorse, sadness. I'm awful like
- 49:49Speaker 3: all of that.
- 49:50Speaker 2: I had multiple opportunities to stop.
- 49:52Speaker 3: It's crocodile tears to me. It's manipulative, and what it
- 49:57Speaker 3: then does is it puts blame in shame on the
- 50:00Speaker 3: woman in this situation who was engaging in this act
- 50:03Speaker 3: with him and David. That's wrong, that's wrong. You need
- 50:07Speaker 3: to be saying to her. That was so much fun.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I really enjoyed that. Wow, you made this so much
- 50:13Speaker 3: harder for me. Now I have to go make a
- 50:14Speaker 3: hard decision, but not this whole like I'm so awful,
- 50:18Speaker 3: I'm off. It's like, yeah, dude, you are, so now
- 50:21Speaker 3: deal with it. Own it. You made this decision. I'm
- 50:23Speaker 3: not going to feel sorry for you because you listen
- 50:26Speaker 3: to that head and not this head. So just be
- 50:30Speaker 3: an adult and like, own it. But I don't like
- 50:32Speaker 3: this pushing the blame and the shame onto the woman,
- 50:35Speaker 3: and then she ends up experiencing some of that like
- 50:37Speaker 3: while she's on board, and I just am not into that.
- 50:40Speaker 3: So I mean, the episode ends with a to be continued,
- 50:44Speaker 3: which obviously we're going to get into right away because
- 50:47Speaker 3: it's not to be continued for us. But the episode
- 50:51Speaker 3: opens back on this date and they're making out in
- 50:55Speaker 3: the hot tub, and we get more editing gold of
- 50:59Speaker 3: like we're seeing what's happening with them, and we see
- 51:01Speaker 3: Low back on the boat being like, I'm so confident
- 51:04Speaker 3: I don't even need to practice anything for my plank
- 51:06Speaker 3: ceremony tonight. It's just like, hey girl, glad you didn't
- 51:09Speaker 3: unpack your bags because you're going home. And they're just
- 51:12Speaker 3: really emphasizing that Low has all this you know, trust
- 51:18Speaker 3: and everything in this man, which I don't blame her
- 51:25Speaker 3: for being jaded, and like, you know, like if I
- 51:29Speaker 3: were in the situation or you were in this situation,
- 51:31Speaker 3: we would probably have walls up because we're older and
- 51:34Speaker 3: we've experienced more in life, and she is just like
- 51:37Speaker 3: walls down, inhibitions down. I'm all in for this guy,
- 51:40Speaker 3: and that's like a beautiful way to move through life.
- 51:43Speaker 3: But it is going to change now that she's experienced this.
- 51:46Speaker 3: I think that this situation is going to make Low jaded.
- 51:51Speaker 3: And that's why I don't like guys like David taking beautiful,
- 51:55Speaker 3: sweet souls who are really really nice and caring and nurturing,
- 51:59Speaker 3: and you're using it against them and it's really mean.
- 52:03Speaker 3: So do you stop doing this?
- 52:05Speaker 2: And men, if you're watching this show, don't be like David. Yeah,
- 52:09Speaker 2: don't be like this. We can all take a lesson,
- 52:22Speaker 2: all right. They get back from a date Heather, and
- 52:24Speaker 2: here we go. We jump straight into the plank ceremony,
- 52:28Speaker 2: and you know, the mood is very, very low, like
- 52:34Speaker 2: everything is shifting.
- 52:36Speaker 3: I feel like it starts though, like everybody's like, oh,
- 52:38Speaker 3: we're going to be out of here in a minute,
- 52:40Speaker 3: Like they all think it's like easy peas well.
- 52:42Speaker 2: It's funny because we don't just see Low being cocky
- 52:45Speaker 2: about it. We see everybody else being cocky about it.
- 52:47Speaker 2: They are showing them and clips being like this is
- 52:49Speaker 2: mom and dad, like their mom and dad of the yacht.
- 52:51Speaker 2: They've been together since day one. No one can rock this.
- 52:54Speaker 2: No one can rock this, and they are not even
- 52:57Speaker 2: prepared for what is about to happen.
- 53:00Speaker 3: Because David's fooled all of them. He kept this persona
- 53:04Speaker 3: going that he is not a fuck boy. And I
- 53:07Speaker 3: can't remember what was said what he said exactly, but
- 53:11Speaker 3: where he gave the he told on himself was when
- 53:14Speaker 3: he was talking to Val and she asked about his
- 53:17Speaker 3: past relationship and he said it ended because it wasn't insecurity.
- 53:23Speaker 3: What did he say, He used it lent itself. What
- 53:27Speaker 3: the words he used lent itself to somebody being unfaithful?
- 53:32Speaker 3: Did you catch that?
- 53:34Speaker 2: I did not.
- 53:34Speaker 3: It was really quick. It's he didn't use the word
- 53:37Speaker 3: unfaithful and he didn't use the word insecure. Some of
- 53:40Speaker 3: the listeners will have to go back and listen to it.
- 53:42Speaker 3: But it lent itself to some sort of indiscretion happened
- 53:49Speaker 3: in his last relationship, and it was hard for them
- 53:51Speaker 3: to rebound from whatever this situation was. Hello, guys, this
- 53:59Speaker 3: is him telling on him. He has a plum. This
- 54:02Speaker 3: is not a guy that engages in this kind of
- 54:04Speaker 3: activity and a woman who engages in this kind of
- 54:08Speaker 3: activity within meeting very quickly. This is not the first
- 54:11Speaker 3: time that they have ever done this with each other. Yeah, again,
- 54:15Speaker 3: this is Okay, people are adults and have autonomy over
- 54:19Speaker 3: their own bodies. I'm not slutshaming anybody in this situation whatsoever.
- 54:25Speaker 3: But for David to have had this persona of like
- 54:28Speaker 3: he's mister boyfriend man and all of that. No, David
- 54:32Speaker 3: in the shower, that's David. That's well David, And I
- 54:36Speaker 3: guess that's how David moves through life. When he's meeting
- 54:39Speaker 3: women at the club. He likes to party and he
- 54:42Speaker 3: likes to blow off steam. That is who he is.
- 54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, David is a taker. He's a taker.
- 54:47Speaker 3: This guy on the yacht, he said from jump, I'm
- 54:51Speaker 3: trying something different. David came in and was like very
- 54:55Speaker 3: cognizant of how he moves through life in a day
- 54:59Speaker 3: to day basis, and he's you know how he keeps
- 55:02Speaker 3: also bringing up like, oh, her family's going to see
- 55:05Speaker 3: this yep, when he was talking about their sexual incompatibility
- 55:09Speaker 3: and he goes, oh, man, her parents are going to
- 55:12Speaker 3: see this, bro, how about she's going to see this?
- 55:16Speaker 2: Not once? Not once? Does he say that Heather? Not once?
- 55:20Speaker 2: Is he like wow? When this all plays back and
- 55:24Speaker 2: Low sees the curtain lifted, not once, he is worried
- 55:29Speaker 2: about how this is going to look for him. That's all.
- 55:34Speaker 2: He's not worried about Low. He's not worried about what
- 55:37Speaker 2: her parents think, because he's not going to end up
- 55:38Speaker 2: with her. He's worried about what his his persona is
- 55:43Speaker 2: then going to look like.
- 55:44Speaker 3: And that's the crocodile tears for me. This guy is
- 55:48Speaker 3: not being authentic. I think he's being super subdued. I
- 55:52Speaker 3: think that he does feel remorse for how he acts,
- 55:56Speaker 3: and I don't think that he necessarily wants to be
- 56:00Speaker 3: this person that he's being. But I've seen this time
- 56:03Speaker 3: and time again, and a lot of these guys have
- 56:06Speaker 3: to learn the hard way in order to make real change.
- 56:11Speaker 3: Is hard way that he's having to learn. Because guess what, David, Now,
- 56:16Speaker 3: after getting off this boat, if you ever try to
- 56:18Speaker 3: get into another relationship scenario that lives on TV and
- 56:23Speaker 3: lives on the internet, is going to haunt you forever forever.
- 56:28Speaker 3: Any girl that you meet is going to google you,
- 56:31Speaker 3: is going to look this up and be like, Oh,
- 56:33Speaker 3: he's a fuck boy, and this is going to follow
- 56:36Speaker 3: you for a really, really long time. And that's unfortunate
- 56:39Speaker 3: because it's an indiscretion in your life. But That's partly
- 56:44Speaker 3: why people are very careful when they go on TV
- 56:47Speaker 3: and the decisions that they make. Some people are well, listen,
- 56:51Speaker 3: it doesn't start some people aren't. Some people are, and
- 56:53Speaker 3: some people are aren't. It doesn't stop there. Heather David's fuckery.
- 57:00Speaker 2: We see the plank ceremony, and this is where it
- 57:05Speaker 2: just turns into straight chaos. First off, I don't know
- 57:10Speaker 2: the whole bit where they make Low put on her
- 57:12Speaker 2: life jacket. I was like, this girl, I'm already mortified
- 57:15Speaker 2: for this girl and what is about to happen to her?
- 57:17Speaker 2: And I'm like, do we really need to poke fun
- 57:19Speaker 2: at her a little bit more? We see Low, we
- 57:22Speaker 2: see Val take the plank, we see both of them
- 57:28Speaker 2: twisted up, and we see David twisted up. I mean,
- 57:32Speaker 2: he's very very stressed about the decision that he's about
- 57:36Speaker 2: to make. Right. Val says she feels something special with him,
- 57:41Speaker 2: that they had some memorable moments on their date. Low
- 57:45Speaker 2: says that they've been on top the whole time, and
- 57:48Speaker 2: David knows how she feels about him. I mean they
- 57:50Speaker 2: are girlfriend and boyfriend. She said the L word. David
- 57:55Speaker 2: says his date with Val made the decision much harder
- 57:59Speaker 2: for him. I can't even This is when we see David.
- 58:04Speaker 2: He doesn't fully come clean, but he is trying to
- 58:07Speaker 2: and I don't know. Maybe I can just hope that
- 58:10Speaker 2: he is trying not to embarrass Low in this moment.
- 58:13Speaker 2: But he looks at her and he says he doesn't
- 58:15Speaker 2: think that she's going to be okay with what happened
- 58:17Speaker 2: on their date. So he doesn't throw Val under the
- 58:21Speaker 2: bus and outright say she gave him a bj in
- 58:24Speaker 2: the shower, but he also doesn't say it to Low either.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Hopefully it's in a sense to respect all parties. I
- 58:31Speaker 2: want to give the benefit of the doubt here. I
- 58:33Speaker 2: know I can see you struggling, Heather, I can see
- 58:35Speaker 2: you struggling with me. I am trying to find.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Because of everybody to understand that being evasive about the
- 58:42Speaker 3: truth doesn't mean you're being truthful. That is still lying
- 58:49Speaker 3: in a sense. So he is avoiding telling her the
- 58:54Speaker 3: entire truth because he knows that he is going to
- 58:57Speaker 3: get a negative reaction from her and from the group
- 59:03Speaker 3: that's watching this all go down. This playing ceremony is
- 59:06Speaker 3: so dramatic. It elapses more than forty five minutes and
- 59:09Speaker 3: Gabby just continuing to be like, Daved, we need a name, babe,
- 59:13Speaker 3: we need a name. I was about to be like,
- 59:15Speaker 3: if Gabby gets up there, she should just push David off,
- 59:18Speaker 3: you know, and we just keep both the girls. But
- 59:21Speaker 3: if I'm low in this.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Situation, Heather, I'm jumping overboard.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Same because low, babe, you do not need a man
- 59:32Speaker 3: that steps away from you for thirty minutes. And this
- 59:36Speaker 3: is how difficult it is to choose you. Uh huh,
- 59:39Speaker 3: that's right there. You know in your heart that what
- 59:42Speaker 3: you had was not real. So that's when I go
- 59:46Speaker 3: peace and I jump overboard myself because I'm not going
- 59:49Speaker 3: to stand he humiliated you.
- 59:51Speaker 2: I have too much pride, Heather. I don't know if
- 59:54Speaker 2: I am too egotistical. I have too much pride, whatever
- 59:57Speaker 2: it may be, to stand there and a lie. Wow,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: a man to do this, to drag on this decision
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: as long as he did, with both women standing there
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: at the end, both of them should have jumped overboard.
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: I would have never stood there that long cast crew ship.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: We'll see a piece. I'm out. You will not stand
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: here and make me look this stupid.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: And that's what he's doing. Like if he was also
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: like respectable. He would have just said, you know what, guys,
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: I don't know if I deserve to be here, I'm
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: going to jump overboard and just like through himself. You
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: know what I mean. But the fact that your foundation
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: of your relationship was rocked by one girl coming in
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: that quick, that just goes to show he was lying
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: to you, He was lying to everybody. And the one
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: who reacts the hardest out of this whole situation, because
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: obviously he sends low overboard is Leela. She is just screaming.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: She is calling him a dickhead. The entire yacht is rocked.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: They're all screaming. They have no idea how this could happen,
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: and the men are equally disappointed. I was expecting there
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: should be some weird like Broie moments of like for you,
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: I'm here for you. The only one we really see
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: it from is James, who James is like, hey, man, like,
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: I respect you, know you're following your heart whatever. But
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: I will say that at this point, nobody really knows
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: what happened on the date. It's not until like David
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: starts to like cry and Kori is like.
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: Whoa, did you see how quickly he got out of
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: that conversation because it was not having any part of that.
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: No, because Curi clearly is very cognizant, right if he's
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: waiting five episodes to have a kiss with a girl,
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: he's not the kind of guy that has a shower
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: action with somebody he's met five minutes ago. Again, not shaming,
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: it's just not who he is. So I think he
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: just doesn't really like align with that kind of behavior.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: He's not jumping on board, No.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: He literally backs away really quick. And it's Tim who's
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: also really aggressive and upset with David. And this is
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: where I'm like, Okay, Tim, you came in saying you
- 1:02:16Speaker 3: didn't want to be a fuck boy anymore, and you
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: are showing that you do not want to be a
- 1:02:21Speaker 3: fuck boy. Because usually fuck boys they would align together
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: and they would be like, yeah, man, I get it,
- 1:02:26Speaker 3: you know, she's hot whatever. But no, Tim is like
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: upset and he like thought better of David. And I
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: kind of really like that that moment from Tim.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I did too, because the same thing. It's
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: not you know, we expected the women to have a reaction,
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: obviously they love Low, but I was really really happy
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: in a situation like that, where the other men stood
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: up too, and we're just like, hey, dude, this is
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: not right. You know, I have nothing but respect for
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: something like that. I would have been it would have
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: been a very different scenario had they all been like,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: it's okay, get yours get But that wasn't the case,
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: and that made me really happy, especially in a you know,
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: humor filled reality show like this. I was really happy
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: to see them stand up and be like, yo, bro,
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: this just wasn't okay. This is not okay. You do
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: you but like, this is not okay.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: So we we're on the next day over here and
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: the downsiders are folding laundry. Lexi and James are ready
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: to get back to the top side. The top siders
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: have an awkward breakfast. They're all still annoyed with David.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: David has some alone time and gets emotional talking to
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: a producer. I thought this was a very interesting situation
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: because we are seeing him start to unravel and really,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: I don't know reap the benefits the repercussions of his
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: choices here, but I found it very interesting. The producer
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: who comes in just holds him and caddles him like
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: a baby, And so this is okay, get yourself a
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: good cry, and then you're going to go back in
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: there and you're gonna knock him dead killer. You know,
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: like I, I'm getting too much time with David. I'm
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: getting too much time for him to lick his wounds
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: and to feel sorry for him.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: If I'm a producer in this situation, I see why
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: it's being done right, we do. You know he's expressing remorse.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: You know, we also are putting people in a pressure
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: cooker environment where emotions are really high and mental health
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: of people is the most important. So I like that
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: he's not being pressured to stay, but clearly we can
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: see he is public enemy number one on this yacht
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: right now. I have been in these kinds of situations
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: where somebody's crying and you got to step in, and
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: you got to let them lean on your shoulder and
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: all that kind of stuff. I've had conversations with Talent
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: that probably other producers wouldn't like to hear, where I've said,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: I'm not going to force you to stay here, and
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: what you want to do is up to you, and
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: I want you empower you to make those decisions. I
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: don't think a lot of producers will say that because
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: they want to keep and see things unfolding. But I
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: think that right now we're seeing the wheels come off
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: of David. He's trying to take responsibility. But I, as
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: a viewer watching this, would not be super surprised if
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: we see David make an exit before the end of
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: this show.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: Oh my god, I didn't even consider that. That was
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: not in all of my and all of my devastation
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: in the last two episodes. That hasn't crossed my mind yet.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: I think that that could be the next thing, because
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: I don't think he's going to bounce back with the boat,
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: and I think that his guilt. I don't also think
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: that he really likes Valve.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: So this is you don't think he does, or you
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: do think he does.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: I don't because when him and Tim have that conversation
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: and then Tim comes back and tells the group and
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: is like, yeah, he's made his bed, he's gonna have
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: to lie in it, that to me says it all.
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: Like I think he engaged in act that he enjoyed,
- 1:06:03Speaker 3: and I think that he's like physically attracted to her,
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: but I don't think he likes her, and I think
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: that he's going to leave and then we might see
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: Val get with somebody else, or she gets sent over whatever.
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: But I have a feeling David's not going to stay.
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: Interesting. You know, he's the one who's been pretty mum
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: on social media. He posts because you know, I'm full
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: on obsessed now and I'm following them all. They're my friends.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: I see them watching my stories. I'm watching everything that
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: they post. I am in my full on obsession mode.
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: David is posting, but his stuff is very muted in
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: a sense.
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: Yeah, I can imagine he is getting quite a bit
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: of hate online. So again, David, protect your mental health,
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: step away from your cell phone. People, remember to be
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: kind on the internet and know these people. I think
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: that he has made a decision, like I said, that
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: is going to now unfortunately haunt him for a long
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: time to come. We see Enna and Andrew make basically
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: a friendship packed through this situation. They've decided. You know,
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: nobody on this ship is into either of them, which
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: is hilarious because Andrew's like, I've never had like a
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: girl friend before, and it's like I don't think Enna's
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: ever been friend zoned before.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Yeah, this is new for both of them. This is new,
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: like unchartered territory for the both of them. We see
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: it right here, and what I need my girl Enna
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: to step it up now that my other girl Bella
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: is gone. I'm like ready for Anna to really come
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: through with a with a swing here and just carry
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: the entire show.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: I just literally Enna being a friend zone would have
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: never been on my bingo card. This is like the
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: most hilarious thing. But Gabby interrupts and tells them that
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: they are all going to get to go off to
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: the beach for a beach party that she has organized.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: And this is when we get the teas for the
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: next episode, which is another great twist because what they
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: don't know is that all the people that have been
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: kicked off the yacht thus far, their exes are waiting
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: for them at the beach party to confront them.
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: I am doing my very best, Heather, to not jump
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: ahead here because I am dying inside. I have to
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: know what happens. I have to know how this ends.
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: And I had to everything in me to shut it
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: off yesterday. I had to stop myself from not jumping
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: forward because I need the instant gratification.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: It's all the best elements of all different dating shows.
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: I mean, so now we've covered Love Island, We've covered
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: bombshells with ship Wreckers and all these things, and now
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: we're heading to X on the Beach, which is another
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: great dating show. So I'm here for it. I love
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: where this show is going. At the end of this episode,
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: episode six, are you still rooting the most for Tim
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: and Gia or are you rooting more for Lexi and James.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: This is a this is a toss up for me. Okay,
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: I still stand by I believe Tim and Gia could
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: be the real deal, but I believe Lexi and James
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: go go the rest of the way. I like, in
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: my heart, I think that Lexi and James win, and
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: I am not I stop myself. I have not seen
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: how the show ends. I've not watched any further episodes,
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: but I believe that Lexi and James win.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: All Right, Well, we'll have to see how this plays out.
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: We've got only three more episodes, which is crazy.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: I like, please don't give me an ending. What am
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: I going to do with all my free time after this?
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: Well? I wonder if we're going to get some sort
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: of reunion. We'll have to wait and see.
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: We have to go. We have to go. We have
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: to find a way to get there and Per and
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: Heather and sit in the audience, and I have to
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: be able to attend this.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: This is my new obsession. If you guys haven't been watching,
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: please catch up. Please watch this show. It is so funny.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: We're having the best time ever. But I can't wait.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: We'll be back with more episodes seven and eight, and
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: then nine is the finale. Thanks Deanna, this has been fun.
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: Thanks Heather.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: Bye.
