- 0:13cultivate a mindset that leads you to create the best version
- 0:16of yourself you could ever imagine.
- 0:18Join Kim every morning from one of her favorite happy places,
- 0:21her chicken coop along with all her chickens.
- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:30coop. So today we're continuing to
- 0:31talk about possibilities and how we order them.
- 0:36So just if we were to pause for just a second and we were to
- 0:40actually be honest with ourselves about how we rate
- 0:43things in our head, we will hopefully not argue with
- 0:47ourselves too much about this. But it's been my experience over
- 0:51time with myself, with clients, you know, it's just the way that
- 0:55it is. Friends, family, we, whether we
- 0:58want to admit it or not, we all have very distinct ways that we
- 1:02decide what's more important to US, one thing over another, this
- 1:05or that. And it's just a very human thing
- 1:09to do. Like we'll all want to say,
- 1:10well, I don't have a favorite chicken.
- 1:12Well, listen, if I'm being politically correct, I will sit
- 1:15here and say they are all equally important to me and they
- 1:18are all equally important to me. But that does not mean that I do
- 1:22not have or had a favorite or still continue to have favorites
- 1:26over others. And it's just human nature.
- 1:30We just do those things and I can and willingly admit, do I
- 1:33love them all? Yes.
- 1:34Do I love them all the same? No.
- 1:36Do I have others that are my favorites?
- 1:39100%, Whether it's because of their look or their personality
- 1:43or the way they show up. It's just, that's just the
- 1:47nature of being a human being. It's what we do.
- 1:51So when it comes to working on our possibilities and thinking
- 1:54about all the different things that we are desiring in our
- 1:58life, that that these deep fulfilling desires that we sit
- 2:02there and say, this creates excitement for me When I think
- 2:04about this and you're capturing them like we have been talking
- 2:08through this all week long. A big distinction is when you
- 2:12come to the end, like right now, we're at the end of this week,
- 2:16we're going to start saying which one, which ones of these
- 2:20do I want to bring into fruition?
- 2:21Do I want to put my intention on?
- 2:23Do I want to satiate myself in believing and thinking about?
- 2:26Well, as you do that, you start to realize you have some that
- 2:30are more appealing than others. You have some that have, you
- 2:34know, a favorite aspect to them and it is important.
- 2:39It is so important to not lie to yourself about this.
- 2:42Like you have to recognize that this is a tricky part of this
- 2:46process because it is it also in our nature.
- 2:49Because remember, you've heard me say many times that two
- 2:51things can be true at the same time.
- 2:54We often will lie to ourselves about something and then try to
- 2:58justify it. So it it's kind of like you can
- 3:01have conflicting desires. You can have like I want live at
- 3:05the beach and I want a farm. Those are conflicting desires.
- 3:09But when you come right back to it there is always a little bit
- 3:13more weight like if you thought of it like the scales of
- 3:15justice, you know how that little stand and then you've got
- 3:18the little buckets on each side, the little flats on each side
- 3:20and you put things on them and they weigh.
- 3:22When you start to think about that, that's the visual I use
- 3:25anyway. They're they're rarely ever
- 3:28exact unless you are measuring the exact same items on each
- 3:33side that have been weighed out. So even if I've got two oranges
- 3:37and I say, OK, I know these are very smart person, these are
- 3:41both in orange and I put them one-on-one side of the scale and
- 3:441:00 on the other side of the scale, I guarantee you they will
- 3:47not weigh exactly the same thing.
- 3:49Even if they're very close. There's going to be a small
- 3:52difference between those. And when you do that, you
- 3:55recognize, well, they're still an orange, Kim, yes, they're
- 3:58still an orange, but one weighs more than the other.
- 4:00So the think about it the same way with possibilities.
- 4:03Your possibilities are both all possibilities, but when you go
- 4:07to weigh them, one will feel more important or more desirable
- 4:11or more exciting than the other. So you have to decide, OK, where
- 4:17do I want to put my energy? Where do I want to say these are
- 4:21my real like, OK, that might be a possibility for me.
- 4:25That might be something I'm intrigued by, but am I really
- 4:28excited to do it? So when you start to get into
- 4:30this weighing process, you really have to focus on the fact
- 4:34that you've got to be aware of the all the little thoughts so
- 4:38that you can weigh them. Now, a great way to do this
- 4:41because obviously we can't weigh on the scales, you know,
- 4:45possibilities. It's a good visual for you to
- 4:47understand the process, but you can't necessarily weigh it that
- 4:50way. So numbers are next best thing
- 4:53to use. Meaning you're going to make
- 4:55your list and then you're going to assign numbers from 1:00 to
- 4:5810:00 or, you know, one to 100. Some people like to have a
- 5:01bigger scale. I like to keep it small when I
- 5:03do it for myself. One to 10, one being there's no
- 5:07chance, even though this is an interesting possibility that I
- 5:10want to do that. And 10 being, it's a hell yes.
- 5:13So think of it as a hell no or hell yes at the opposite end of
- 5:17the spectrum. And then you're going to start
- 5:19assigning each one of these a number so that you can know
- 5:24where this falls on your scale and how you should pay attention
- 5:27to it. Then when you're done with,
- 5:29you've got your whole list. Like I've got my whole white,
- 5:31big, giant, white piece of paper and I've got it all written down
- 5:34and I've got numbers next to each one.
- 5:36And then I'm going to pull those higher number ones out and put
- 5:39them together and say, OK, now, now what?
- 5:43Now, what do I want to do? This is the easiest, most
- 5:47efficient way to look at it and say, all right, I can judge
- 5:52these in a very systematic way and be honest with myself.
- 5:57So do that exercise. Figure out which ones are the
- 6:01ones that you really feel compelled.
- 6:03I I really want that. Yeah, that's something that
- 6:05excites me, thrills me, whatever it might be.
- 6:07But sign him a number, get this portion done and I will see you
- 6:12guys tomorrow. Hope you have a blessed day.
- 6:14Bye.
