Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Here we are now, clarity is inside forty eight hours.
- 0:02Speaker 1: Let's break it all down for you because there are
- 0:04Speaker 1: some things happening that you want to pay attention to.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today, and that is Uphold.
- 0:10Speaker 1: We've all been there. Expenses pop up right when the
- 0:13Speaker 1: market's starting to heat up. It's not the right time
- 0:16Speaker 1: to sell. The last thing you want to do is
- 0:18Speaker 1: sell your Bitcoin, your ethereum, your XRP, or even your
- 0:21Speaker 1: stable coin USDC. This is exactly why Uphold launched the
- 0:25Speaker 1: Exa credit card. When I found out about this, I
- 0:28Speaker 1: was blown away. It's an instant line of credit that
- 0:31Speaker 1: lets you borrow against your crypto without having to sell.
- 0:34Speaker 1: All you have to do is just use your assets
- 0:37Speaker 1: as collateral and spend it worldwide using a virtual visa card.
- 0:41Speaker 1: This is the coolest feature I love about this. There
- 0:43Speaker 1: are no credit checks and you can repay on a
- 0:46Speaker 1: schedule that works specifically for you. It's the smartest way
- 0:50Speaker 1: to stay long in the market while accessing your portfolios
- 0:54Speaker 1: value Today. Download the Uphold app and get your virtual
- 0:57Speaker 1: Exa card in just a few taps. As we roll
- 1:01Speaker 1: into the final hours, you can go to the chart
- 1:04Speaker 1: right here and of course that means two days are
- 1:07Speaker 1: left and we are rolling into what might be actually
- 1:11Speaker 1: the Senator's staying over in the weekend. There's a few
- 1:13Speaker 1: people anticipating that that might happen, and this is where
- 1:16Speaker 1: maybe the vote will occur. If you look at what's
- 1:20Speaker 1: going on with polymarket right now, it has actually plummeted
- 1:24Speaker 1: all the way down to a fifteen percent chance. And
- 1:26Speaker 1: I think this is where everybody's hopes are right now.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Let me know what you guys think though. Are you
- 1:32Speaker 1: still in the camp that maybe this gets through the
- 1:35Speaker 1: Senate and this is just maybe in a position where
- 1:39Speaker 1: everybody is wrong.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Let me know down in the comments.
- 1:42Speaker 1: All right, So remember that we're trying to figure out
- 1:45Speaker 1: why Thune hasn't put this on the schedule. To get
- 1:47Speaker 1: the vote, we have to continuing the resolution that essentially
- 1:50Speaker 1: is in play right now. That would be the first
- 1:53Speaker 1: thing that has to get done in terms of order
- 1:56Speaker 1: of business. So the CR would explain why Thune did
- 2:00Speaker 1: not file the cloture and the motion to proceed on
- 2:02Speaker 1: the Clarity Act yesterday, and of course today is what we're.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Watching right now. So this is still it now.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Granted that the CR will be a quick vote most
- 2:11Speaker 1: likely kind of the rubber stamp that we anticipate for this,
- 2:15Speaker 1: but it would mean that at least this would.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Give Thoon the green light.
- 2:19Speaker 1: And if you look at a couple of the points
- 2:21Speaker 1: right here the Senate dem this of course coming from
- 2:24Speaker 1: Cynthia Lamas saying that all of these Dems need to
- 2:27Speaker 1: think hard before killing this bipartisan Act. And of course
- 2:31Speaker 1: she's pointing very hard right now at the Democrats and
- 2:36Speaker 1: maybe putting them in a position of defense. Now, does
- 2:39Speaker 1: that mean that we do have some potential here where
- 2:43Speaker 1: some of these Dems might actually flip if a vote
- 2:45Speaker 1: does go to the floor, Because that's still the other
- 2:48Speaker 1: aspect is that if it does make it to the floor,
- 2:50Speaker 1: does and do we have enough of the Dems to
- 2:53Speaker 1: be able to make it to an actual passage? And
- 2:56Speaker 1: do we retain enough of the Republicans. So those are
- 2:58Speaker 1: the things we're a little bit concerned with. I want
- 3:00Speaker 1: to play Lummis's clip here because she's talking about this
- 3:04Speaker 1: extension into the weekend.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Take a look where does it stand right now?
- 3:07Speaker 2: When we were together the last time, you said you're.
- 3:09Speaker 4: Hoping that you could actually get.
- 3:11Speaker 5: This passed before you all leave for recess, which is
- 3:14Speaker 5: supposed to be this Friday.
- 3:18Speaker 6: Maria, I don't think we'll be leaving on Friday. I
- 3:21Speaker 6: think we'll go into the weekend. There are other bills
- 3:25Speaker 6: in addition to the Clarity Act that we need to
- 3:28Speaker 6: take votes on before we leave for the August recess,
- 3:32Speaker 6: and Clarity is one of those bills. So I do
- 3:36Speaker 6: believe that we will get a vote on the Clarity
- 3:39Speaker 6: Act and get people on the record. After eleven months
- 3:44Speaker 6: of negotiating with Democrats and adding three hundred plus pages
- 3:50Speaker 6: to the bill at their request, it's just time to
- 3:53Speaker 6: get people on the record.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Even though she says the weekend the next forty eight
- 3:57Speaker 1: is really kind of the key of being able to
- 4:00Speaker 1: get this through because obviously that's going to be pushing
- 4:02Speaker 1: this into at least the vote element of going into
- 4:06Speaker 1: the Senate. So the next two days still very important
- 4:09Speaker 1: on how this goes forward. The other thing that could
- 4:11Speaker 1: play into this is that and why people might be staying.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Over is that they need a win. Senators are going
- 4:16Speaker 2: to need to win.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Going back to their communities and be able to say, hey,
- 4:19Speaker 1: this is what we got done. And this of course
- 4:21Speaker 1: will of course carry over into what could be happening
- 4:24Speaker 1: in the midterms as well. Let me play this clip
- 4:27Speaker 1: for you.
- 4:28Speaker 4: A growing group of Republican Senators are all gained to
- 4:31Speaker 4: skip VAK entirely and stay in that swamp for the
- 4:35Speaker 4: foreseeable future.
- 4:36Speaker 7: How caie tell you how many meetings I've been in
- 4:39Speaker 7: in the last six months that should have been an email?
- 4:43Speaker 7: Got to vote, and we need to vote right now.
- 4:46Speaker 7: And if there's a motion to have us remain here
- 4:49Speaker 7: until we get our work done, I'm going to vote yes.
- 4:52Speaker 8: I'm very willing to stay till hell freezes over and
- 4:55Speaker 8: think that we should put the Democrats on the record
- 4:58Speaker 8: and vote for them one at a time.
- 5:00Speaker 4: Fact, there are quite a few hot topics Republican senators
- 5:03Speaker 4: can spotlight during their summer breaks, and it looks like
- 5:06Speaker 4: the economy should be on top of that list.
- 5:09Speaker 9: So the first time in a decade, Democrats are eking
- 5:11Speaker 9: out Republicans when it comes to who Americans trust more
- 5:14Speaker 9: on the economy, and.
- 5:16Speaker 4: Fox News polling paints a similar picture, with Democrats scene
- 5:19Speaker 4: as favorable by nine points and ten points when it
- 5:22Speaker 4: comes to inflation and prices.
- 5:24Speaker 9: I'm confused. Does staying really just become a gesture at
- 5:27Speaker 9: that point, or is there really a path to passage?
- 5:30Speaker 5: Later tonight, We're going to pass the next step for
- 5:34Speaker 5: the CR to avoid a government shut down. We have
- 5:38Speaker 5: bills like the Crypto Bill, a big piece of President
- 5:42Speaker 5: Trump's legacy on that front of count me in the
- 5:45Speaker 5: list of a growing number of Senators who are willing
- 5:48Speaker 5: to stick around here all August long to get all
- 5:51Speaker 5: of that done if that's what it takes. But I
- 5:53Speaker 5: don't think that's what it takes. I think we can
- 5:55Speaker 5: pass all of these bills this week.
- 5:58Speaker 1: All right, So maybe it is virtue signaling on trying
- 6:01Speaker 1: to get this done, because I think this is the
- 6:04Speaker 1: kind of the situation that Republicans are facing right now,
- 6:06Speaker 1: is that they look as though they haven't able to
- 6:08Speaker 1: get anything done. So that still will be a major
- 6:11Speaker 1: factor going forward.
- 6:12Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:12Speaker 1: So you can kind of see some of the fud
- 6:14Speaker 1: campaign that will continue to push into.
- 6:17Speaker 2: This clarity vote.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You saw it there with Warren going after Trump's mean
- 6:20Speaker 1: points and proposing this to the SEC.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I doubt that would happen.
- 6:24Speaker 1: The other point, you've got Brenda Peterson kind of hitting
- 6:26Speaker 1: on the Wall Street Journal out there, which was an
- 6:29Speaker 1: editorial board. I'll talk about this in a second, which
- 6:33Speaker 1: was talking about the Senate bill to regulate digital currency
- 6:36Speaker 1: and that this would not necessarily be a good thing
- 6:38Speaker 1: because of illicit finance. This has been one of the
- 6:40Speaker 1: things that it has kind of propped up over the
- 6:42Speaker 1: last really three or four days, just some of the
- 6:44Speaker 1: things that were happening around the analysis on the Wall
- 6:47Speaker 1: Street Journal opinion piece right there. You have another one
- 6:51Speaker 1: right here, and it's only going to continue to get worse.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I'm going to go to a clip because there are
- 6:56Speaker 1: some things also that are happening in the market where
- 7:00Speaker 1: many of the fintech industry is starting to move forward.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Clarity or no clarity. Let me play this clip.
- 7:07Speaker 6: There is news here.
- 7:08Speaker 10: You're offering tokenized deposits, and I want to know what
- 7:11Speaker 10: competitive edge does this give you?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Are you just trying to get ahead of customer demand?
- 7:16Speaker 2: I know that JP Morgan has talked about it.
- 7:17Speaker 11: You're ready, Yeah, listen.
- 7:19Speaker 8: I think when you look at all the banks, we
- 7:21Speaker 8: all recognize that tokenization and blockchain technology is real. We've
- 7:25Speaker 8: been saying that for a long time. You know, you've
- 7:28Speaker 8: got those outside the bank and space saying they're the
- 7:30Speaker 8: only ones doing it. The banks don't get and that's
- 7:32Speaker 8: just not true. We're all embracing it, we're all building solutions.
- 7:35Speaker 8: This is an example of we're going to be doing
- 7:38Speaker 8: starting in the fall and then expanding into twenty seven.
- 7:40Speaker 1: All right, So that was of course CEO over at
- 7:42Speaker 1: Wells Fargo way behind the eight ball in terms of
- 7:46Speaker 1: trying to get something done on the blockchain and especially
- 7:49Speaker 1: for digital assets.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Wells Fargo is so far behind.
- 7:52Speaker 1: More perfect fud coming in from more perfect Union, and
- 7:55Speaker 1: they're kind of pushing it in the sense of the banks,
- 7:57Speaker 1: the big banks, in other words, that would now pushing
- 7:59Speaker 1: the bill clarity to let them invest your retirement savings
- 8:03Speaker 1: in crypto, even though these banks are already investing in
- 8:06Speaker 1: crazy things regardless. So I think this is just the
- 8:10Speaker 1: example of the fud that we will continue to see
- 8:13Speaker 1: here on Thursday and Friday as this get starts to
- 8:16Speaker 1: get very.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Narrow on the vote.
- 8:18Speaker 1: The other things that could play into this is is
- 8:21Speaker 1: the market in a bottom. Are we finally at that
- 8:24Speaker 1: point where everybody has capitulated, where everybody is exhausted with
- 8:28Speaker 1: the market. Well, let's go take a look at Kramer.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I have some crypto.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Should I be more careful I think.
- 8:35Speaker 12: That you should give yourself three or four years, and
- 8:38Speaker 12: at that point I would get rather patronoid about it.
- 8:41Speaker 3: Really, four years, that's not that long.
- 8:45Speaker 12: No, that's not that long, low boy, Noah, I realize
- 8:49Speaker 12: some way, and ethereum not really, maybe even worse.
- 8:53Speaker 5: So I think that people have to take this man
- 8:56Speaker 5: seriously because they're doing commercial quantity.
- 8:59Speaker 7: Now, there'll be people have been and you say, look,
- 9:00Speaker 7: I don't know what you're talking about, Jim, you don't
- 9:02Speaker 7: know anything.
- 9:03Speaker 3: I don't have to know anything. I asked the questions.
- 9:05Speaker 5: I think you can answer me.
- 9:08Speaker 6: Arvin.
- 9:08Speaker 5: Christian knows quantum incredibly, he knows he knows bit point
- 9:13Speaker 5: in quantum.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And I'm good at sell mine.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You are, Yes, that's really just on what he said.
- 9:20Speaker 12: Well, he's the man.
- 9:24Speaker 2: He's a man, all right.
- 9:28Speaker 1: So there he's the man. Well he's selling bitcoin and
- 9:31Speaker 1: ethereum now. So I think it's the perfect time, the
- 9:34Speaker 1: perfect time to go over and follow in versus Kramer
- 9:37Speaker 1: what you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Guys should do right now?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Because this is kind of a good parody on some
- 9:41Speaker 1: of the bad calls that we have seen coming out
- 9:43Speaker 1: of Kramer. It's kind of interesting. Sometimes he actually says
- 9:46Speaker 1: a few things that are pretty smart, but then he
- 9:48Speaker 1: backtracks off of these as soon as he gets a
- 9:50Speaker 1: little sign of trouble. So just interesting points right now. Now,
- 9:55Speaker 1: that is not what the rest of the market thinks.
- 9:58Speaker 1: And Tom Lee, of course, the perma bull that's out there.
- 10:02Speaker 1: He thinks that we are going to start to see
- 10:04Speaker 1: more correlation to some of these maybe the big players
- 10:09Speaker 1: within Wall Street that will.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Get affected by this. And he's talking about Robin Hood.
- 10:13Speaker 13: Take a look, Okay, I think the crypto bear markets ended.
- 10:16Speaker 13: So to me, you know, three months from now, I
- 10:19Speaker 13: actually think you're going to see a lot of growth
- 10:21Speaker 13: in crypto trading. But there are some things investors are
- 10:25Speaker 13: waiting for, like the Clarity Act. We have to keep mind,
- 10:28Speaker 13: like when analysts set price targets, they're probably looking twelve
- 10:30Speaker 13: months ahead. We're thinking three years, five years ahead. So
- 10:34Speaker 13: to us that one twenty number, I mean, first of all,
- 10:38Speaker 13: it only really takes you back to where it was
- 10:39Speaker 13: a few months ago. So I think those are pretty
- 10:42Speaker 13: reasonable targets. But you know, we would expect the stock
- 10:45Speaker 13: to be much higher over the next three to five years.
- 10:48Speaker 1: All right, So what he is talking about there is
- 10:51Speaker 1: Robinhood in the one hundred and twenty dollars price zone,
- 10:54Speaker 1: which was back here around early July. He saw that
- 10:58Speaker 1: clip of one eighteen. But let's remember, guys, that Robinhood
- 11:02Speaker 1: topped out right there at about one point fifty.
- 11:05Speaker 2: And this is all.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Prior to many of the advancements that Hood has done.
- 11:09Speaker 1: And I know many of you say, well, hey, some
- 11:10Speaker 1: of the robin Hood chain activity has started decline, but
- 11:13Speaker 1: they're continued services.
- 11:14Speaker 2: I think in general crypto has kind of had that issue.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But I want to play another clip here by him,
- 11:19Speaker 1: because now he is targeting Robinhood as the winner. I mean,
- 11:24Speaker 1: based on his analysis here, they would be the winner
- 11:27Speaker 1: coming out of all things clarity.
- 11:29Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 11:30Speaker 12: The largest financial company in the world right now is
- 11:34Speaker 12: JP Morgan nine hundred billion dollar market cap. In ten years,
- 11:40Speaker 12: how large is the largest financial company in the world.
- 11:43Speaker 13: The largest financial service company ten years could be the
- 11:46Speaker 13: size of a MAG seven today.
- 11:48Speaker 12: And well, if I'm thinking about the size of MAG
- 11:50Speaker 12: seven's in ten years, I think it might be ten
- 11:53Speaker 12: trillion dollars just to get into the club.
- 11:56Speaker 13: Correct one of these companies now, it could be JP Morgan,
- 12:00Speaker 13: it could be robin Hood will be a MAG seven.
- 12:04Speaker 12: You know, and ten trillion is the entry price into
- 12:08Speaker 12: that club. That's one hundred x from here for Robinhood.
- 12:13Speaker 13: So actually it should do better than one hundred x
- 12:17Speaker 13: because the number of shares could be lower.
- 12:20Speaker 2: Wow, that just blows my mind. One hundred x. You
- 12:22Speaker 2: look at and think about this too for a second.
- 12:25Speaker 1: And that is, and we've talked about this many times
- 12:29Speaker 1: here on the show, is there is a major shift
- 12:32Speaker 1: in where money is coming from. And what I'm talking
- 12:35Speaker 1: about is boomers are starting to move that capital into
- 12:39Speaker 1: their next generations within their family. That means that we
- 12:41Speaker 1: are going to see a next generation boom and that
- 12:45Speaker 1: most likely will come from the millennial crowd, and eventually
- 12:48Speaker 1: that makes its way into Gen Z. And I think
- 12:50Speaker 1: this is the potential here in the next ten years
- 12:53Speaker 1: of seeing just a whole retracement of how finance is
- 12:57Speaker 1: going to be done at Wall Street and Robinhood courses
- 12:59Speaker 1: in the right place, spot at the right time to
- 13:02Speaker 1: make all this happen. One last clip from Tom Lee
- 13:05Speaker 1: about RWA's because he's talking about it in a way
- 13:09Speaker 1: that maybe you would not expect.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Take a look, what do.
- 13:12Speaker 12: You think is the first thing that normal people will
- 13:16Speaker 12: buy that will make them go, holy smokes. This is
- 13:19Speaker 12: really interesting and novel and probably not possible without crypto.
- 13:24Speaker 13: You know. One of the simple things is to say, well,
- 13:26Speaker 13: what are the largest markets? So public equities are huge,
- 13:30Speaker 13: bonds are big. Real estate's a natural market. But just
- 13:35Speaker 13: because these are large, liquid markets, do they have to
- 13:37Speaker 13: be token. It's because if they're already large and liquid,
- 13:39Speaker 13: what's the benefit. I think those do benefit from twenty
- 13:43Speaker 13: four to seven trading, just the way oil trading is.
- 13:46Speaker 13: A perpetual has become very popular for hedge funds over weekends.
- 13:49Speaker 13: But there may be a hybrid market in future created
- 13:52Speaker 13: that uses RWA coupled with either prediction markets or perpetuals
- 13:57Speaker 13: that creates a liquid market for some thing that people
- 14:00Speaker 13: thought wasn't ever liquid. So there may be something today
- 14:04Speaker 13: that we didn't think was even a liquid market, but
- 14:07Speaker 13: we'd always love to know if it was a liquid price.
- 14:11Speaker 1: And what he could be alluding to there, of course,
- 14:14Speaker 1: is the collector markets. We've had a couple of videos
- 14:18Speaker 1: on this very topic here just in the last couple
- 14:20Speaker 1: of days.
- 14:21Speaker 2: You guys said, probably go check it out.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But I think the point he's getting at this is
- 14:23Speaker 1: going to open up an opportunity here for a lot
- 14:26Speaker 1: of what has been ill liquid in the past to
- 14:30Speaker 1: something that will I think start to move into mainstream.
- 14:33Speaker 1: So get ready, guys, we could see some very intriguing
- 14:36Speaker 1: changes in the near future. Speaking of something a little unusual, well,
- 14:42Speaker 1: you got to go over and look at what unicewap
- 14:44Speaker 1: is doing. Yeah, this is a landing page at pools
- 14:47Speaker 1: dot trade if you guys want to go visit it.
- 14:49Speaker 2: One thing that's.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Happening right now, of course, is unicewap is in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: process of deploying something big. Now, this could be correlated
- 14:56Speaker 1: to clarity, it could be correlated to just something that
- 14:59Speaker 1: is unicewap ask in the sense of the way they
- 15:01Speaker 1: do things. You had to aid hidden Adams right there,
- 15:04Speaker 1: going to be another hour.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Appreciate the patient, stay tuned.
- 15:07Speaker 1: We anticipate some pretty big announcements within that, and that
- 15:10Speaker 1: of course means good things for DeFi in general.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I want to go to a clip because this.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Will get into why uniswap might actually be the trade
- 15:19Speaker 1: right now in crypto.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 15:21Speaker 10: Look, I think that's I think that's probably the easiest
- 15:24Speaker 10: trade right now in crypto. Many of those assets are
- 15:27Speaker 10: extraordinarily small right. UNISWAP is a global brand that is
- 15:30Speaker 10: on a circulating supply basis, a two point seven billion
- 15:33Speaker 10: dollar asset. It's improving its tokenomics. There's a reason why
- 15:37Speaker 10: it had poor tokenomics because under Gensler you couldn't capture
- 15:40Speaker 10: any value. They've shown the ability to throw a fee
- 15:43Speaker 10: switch and aggregate a portion or arrogate a portion of
- 15:47Speaker 10: the fee activity to the chain itself. I think that's
- 15:52Speaker 10: that's like a pretty It's aligned with a lot of
- 15:55Speaker 10: things that are going right right now, real world assets,
- 15:59Speaker 10: integrations with large financial partners, improving regulatory status, improving tokonomics,
- 16:05Speaker 10: a revenue driven meta. There is demand for those sorts
- 16:08Speaker 10: of assets.
- 16:10Speaker 1: And if you look at the UNISWAP chart, I'll bring
- 16:13Speaker 1: that up real quick here.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Actually, let me pull up.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Yeah, here we go, UNISWAP chart still holding it around
- 16:18Speaker 1: four thirteen, but up quite a bit off of the
- 16:21Speaker 1: floor here at around two thirty eight. So this has
- 16:23Speaker 1: been something we've been watching pretty closely, and we've had
- 16:26Speaker 1: Matt on a couple times to talk specifically about where
- 16:29Speaker 1: UNISWAP is going. But it is definitely a good indicator
- 16:33Speaker 1: here as we start to roll into maybe where the
- 16:35Speaker 1: bottom of this market is heading and when you think
- 16:38Speaker 1: about the bottom of the market, you have to think
- 16:40Speaker 1: about is bitcoin at the bottom? While you've got Strategy
- 16:42Speaker 1: out here doing some new strategic moves here, and they're
- 16:47Speaker 1: going to be matching US government's seed contribution for newborns
- 16:51Speaker 1: of US employees, So they're going to add another two
- 16:53Speaker 1: hundred and fifty to every year to Trump's accounts for
- 16:57Speaker 1: every eligible child under eighteen. I think this is good
- 17:00Speaker 1: in general, but when you look at the situation of
- 17:03Speaker 1: where strategy is, and if you look at Stretch, it
- 17:06Speaker 1: is actually kind of recovered up to ninety three. So
- 17:11Speaker 1: Peter Schiff may have been wrong on this, and maybe
- 17:13Speaker 1: Sailor was right, or is it too early to tell.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Would you still possibly go into stretch or not put
- 17:21Speaker 1: it in the common stand below. I'm kind of interested
- 17:23Speaker 1: in what you guys would be saying on that point.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Other things that I want to hit on.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Of course, you have this happening right now, which is
- 17:29Speaker 1: the Trump administration saying they're going to refund one hundred
- 17:32Speaker 1: billion in tariffs.
- 17:33Speaker 2: This, of course is after the Supreme Court ruled them illegal.
- 17:37Speaker 1: The money is going to be going out to a
- 17:38Speaker 1: lot of companies, and this I think is probably going
- 17:41Speaker 1: to upset consumers a lot, and I think it's going
- 17:44Speaker 1: to upset them in the midterms when they see this,
- 17:46Speaker 1: because this is timing right now is not good for Republicans,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and I think this is going to force some pretty
- 17:53Speaker 1: big issues in general. Here's a clip on this and
- 17:57Speaker 1: the nightmare that is ensuing.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Take a look.
- 18:00Speaker 11: Here's how we're getting today. On recent earnings calls, executives
- 18:03Speaker 11: at major food and consumer goods companies openly admitted to
- 18:07Speaker 11: investors that they are using the refund checks to pad
- 18:10Speaker 11: their profit margins and offset inflation, rather than lowering prices
- 18:14Speaker 11: for shoppers. Nice huh. Apple is claiming two point two
- 18:17Speaker 11: billion of the refund They're pumped and celebrating what CEO
- 18:21Speaker 11: Tim Cook said was its strongest June quarter ever.
- 18:24Speaker 14: Amazon received about six hundred million dollars in tariff refunds.
- 18:28Speaker 14: Amazon says it plans to pass that money back to
- 18:31Speaker 14: customers whenever it can determine a specific purchase included those
- 18:36Speaker 14: extra import.
- 18:37Speaker 11: Costs, whatever that means.
- 18:39Speaker 14: Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, and General Motors. Those companies have
- 18:43Speaker 14: not gone as far as Amazon yet in terms of
- 18:46Speaker 14: committing to pass some of those refunds onto consumers.
- 18:50Speaker 11: Translation, we're going to do whatever the we want with
- 18:52Speaker 11: this money.
- 18:53Speaker 12: Walmart around ten billion, Nike around one.
- 18:58Speaker 11: Billion, assuming the government to get theirs and the people
- 19:02Speaker 11: are assuing Sony to get theirs. Who do you think
- 19:04Speaker 11: actually deserves a terror free fund? And you think it's
- 19:06Speaker 11: okay that Sony's effectively double dipping.
- 19:08Speaker 5: And Apple specifically just came out and said that they
- 19:10Speaker 5: were going to raise prices again.
- 19:13Speaker 3: So we paid the corporations twice twice. A dividend of
- 19:18Speaker 3: at least two thousand of person, not including high income people,
- 19:21Speaker 3: will be paid to everyone. Remember that Howard Lutnick, who's
- 19:24Speaker 3: the US Secretary of Commerce, made hundreds of millions of
- 19:28Speaker 3: dollars buying shorts against the tariffs. He bets that the
- 19:32Speaker 3: tariffs would be found illegal and they would be refunded.
- 19:37Speaker 1: All right, So the optics, as you guys can see,
- 19:39Speaker 1: is not good. I think in general, this is going
- 19:42Speaker 1: to blow up in the face and the midterms is
- 19:45Speaker 1: this is going to get a lot of people upset,
- 19:48Speaker 1: especially as we continue to see the performance of many
- 19:51Speaker 1: of these major corporations in their profit lines. Because that
- 19:54Speaker 1: when you look at earnings right now, and it's been
- 19:56Speaker 1: kind of the earnings pump that we've looked at in
- 19:58Speaker 1: the market.
- 19:59Speaker 2: This is going to get nasty in general.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Let's talk about this right here, and that is the
- 20:04Speaker 1: US has removed the Iranian related sanctions from the Treasury's website,
- 20:09Speaker 1: So that means maybe a deal because this is something new,
- 20:12Speaker 1: Maybe this is truly a deal that is in the works.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Even though we pointed this out the other day, is
- 20:18Speaker 1: that Tehran actually said, hey, we're not going to sign
- 20:21Speaker 1: any agreement under US military threats, so under no durests.
- 20:25Speaker 1: And that was, of course back to the point that
- 20:26Speaker 1: I said, you know, you can't give these guys a deadline.
- 20:29Speaker 1: I think this is a situation you just try to
- 20:31Speaker 1: walk away from and maybe a deal happens. Much like
- 20:34Speaker 1: mini business deals, sometimes the fatigue of negotiation sours the
- 20:38Speaker 1: deal and at the very last minute somebody is willing
- 20:41Speaker 1: to walk away and then a deal is made. So
- 20:43Speaker 1: it's one of those situations that needs to be done.
- 20:46Speaker 1: The question is is when and how. The other point
- 20:49Speaker 1: you have to look at is a lot of that
- 20:51Speaker 1: tariff money starts to translate into inflation. Those inflation numbers
- 20:56Speaker 1: start to translate into earnings, and that simply.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Means one thing.
- 21:00Speaker 1: The S and P five hundred continues to fly, So
- 21:03Speaker 1: all these major corporations are absolutely in the green in
- 21:08Speaker 1: terms of earnings, and also now with what we're seeing
- 21:11Speaker 1: around just an explosion along many of the top five
- 21:15Speaker 1: hundred companies out there that are continuing to perform against
- 21:19Speaker 1: the market regardless of what's happening. Here's the diversience right
- 21:22Speaker 1: now though in bitcoin, and whether you think this is
- 21:24Speaker 1: the bottom or not, this is as far as has
- 21:26Speaker 1: it ever been, and that is a catchup trade.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Will it happen at some point?
- 21:32Speaker 1: At some point, yes, the question is when and how
- 21:35Speaker 1: much does the S and P continue to move, because
- 21:37Speaker 1: if Bitcoin cannot correct, it should see parabolic moves against
- 21:42Speaker 1: something that is essentially inflation driven in the short term.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Here, of course, was.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Michael Berry out there saying, hey, the stock market is
- 21:50Speaker 1: approaching a major top and a possible nineteen eighty seven
- 21:54Speaker 1: like crash. This was a bad deal in nineteen eighty
- 21:56Speaker 1: seven for you guys that weren't around. We are talking
- 21:59Speaker 1: about one of the worst eras around the future of finance,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and that was what we saw in nineteen eighty seven
- 22:08Speaker 1: and what that means for the market right now.
- 22:10Speaker 2: I did a poll asking people.
- 22:12Speaker 1: If they thought that was even close about three hundred
- 22:15Speaker 1: almost four hundred votes right now.
- 22:17Speaker 2: And people are agreeing that Bury might be right here. Now.
- 22:21Speaker 2: I don't know what do.
- 22:23Speaker 1: You guys think in the comments, because this is a
- 22:26Speaker 1: right now, sixty five percent saying they're expecting this kind
- 22:30Speaker 1: of pullback. Tomley kind of mentioned this a little bit
- 22:33Speaker 1: a few months ago, and then here recently he talked
- 22:37Speaker 1: about this not necessarily being as big of a pullback
- 22:40Speaker 1: and maybe we are in preparation for an actual market correction.
- 22:44Speaker 2: To the upside.
- 22:45Speaker 1: So it is mixed signals coming out of Wall Street,
- 22:49Speaker 1: for sure. One mixed signal that you have to take
- 22:51Speaker 1: a look at is the Socks is of course of
- 22:53Speaker 1: the sem Conductor index, And if you go in and
- 22:56Speaker 1: look at the chart right here, you can kind of
- 22:58Speaker 1: see the movement. Right now, Simmons is moving with Silver
- 23:01Speaker 1: Socks pretty much in place. Whether this is going to
- 23:04Speaker 1: be just a high or low, or if it's an
- 23:07Speaker 1: actual correction in the market is still yet to be determined. Remember,
- 23:11Speaker 1: you've got a lot of things happening right now in
- 23:14Speaker 1: the Asian markets trying to adopt and redistribute supply chain
- 23:20Speaker 1: because of the challenges that may come under sanctions and
- 23:23Speaker 1: possibly even control of some of these semiconductor products. So
- 23:26Speaker 1: I think that may play into it as well. For semiconductors.
- 23:30Speaker 1: It's still trade I would be very cautious with overall.
- 23:33Speaker 1: But while you're looking at that, well, there's more money
- 23:36Speaker 1: than ever sitting on the sidelines, and that's eight point
- 23:38Speaker 1: three trillion now setting in money market funds. This is
- 23:42Speaker 1: another all time high. We've seen this multiple times over
- 23:45Speaker 1: the past twelve months. I was surprised when we started
- 23:48Speaker 1: to clip in twenty twenty four above that six and
- 23:52Speaker 1: a half trillion. That's how much we have gained now.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Part of this, as I said, could be inflation driven.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Everything's going up, so the value of your money or
- 24:00Speaker 1: how much money you have because of the inflation itself,
- 24:02Speaker 1: is going up, but also the amount of companies that
- 24:05Speaker 1: are out there making money, which is probably looking at
- 24:08Speaker 1: some liquidations. What I don't get is why we aren't
- 24:12Speaker 1: seeing the S ANDP adjusting for liquidations coming out of
- 24:15Speaker 1: some of those stock portfolios that are driving these money
- 24:18Speaker 1: market portfolios. So no matter what guys tune in for
- 24:22Speaker 1: the next forty eight hours. If you haven't been watching
- 24:24Speaker 1: us consistently, now is the time because this next forty
- 24:27Speaker 1: eight I anticipate more FUD. We're going to see more
- 24:31Speaker 1: strategic moves coming on both sides of the aisle, and
- 24:34Speaker 1: I think it's going to boil down to a handful
- 24:37Speaker 1: of things that may end up in this bill that
- 24:41Speaker 1: we really need to pay close attention to. So stay
- 24:44Speaker 1: tuned right here. If you like this video, like and subscribe,
