- 0:00Speaker 1: We should be bony hunters. Together. You're kind and smart,
- 0:03Speaker 1: I'm cruel and strong. Together we're nothing, but together we're
- 0:08Speaker 1: the perfect bony hunter.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, I could use money, but you have to promise
- 0:13Speaker 2: me something, Homer.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Sure, what is it?
- 0:15Speaker 2: We have to do everything by the book.
- 0:18Speaker 1: And you have to promise no diddlies or doodles.
- 0:22Speaker 2: My friend, you have a dealer running four Finger Discount.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Dude, welcome to season twenty of four Finger Discount. I
- 0:46Speaker 3: am dan Oh today, joined.
- 0:47Speaker 4: By joined by guy. Yes, we've reached the big two
- 0:51Speaker 4: hour feeling very very grown up, and yes we're going
- 0:54Speaker 4: to give you an episode that is both tasty and
- 0:56Speaker 4: tasteless full finger discount tradition.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Exactly right now. There's three things in this title, two
- 1:03Speaker 3: of which are in this room. Oh no, so I
- 1:05Speaker 3: had a pipe for lunch, So the pie is in
- 1:06Speaker 3: my belly? Yeah, okays videos as videos over there? Yes,
- 1:09Speaker 3: no sex, well there's sexy things not yet.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Stay tuned for the yeah fourfingure discount up late. Yeah,
- 1:18Speaker 4: Patrion getting a little boy. But as we said here
- 1:22Speaker 4: to talk about the premiere of season twenty, I'm not
- 1:25Speaker 4: gonna lie.
- 1:26Speaker 3: I enjoy this one. I liked Homer and Flanders being
- 1:28Speaker 3: a good team. As bout the Hunters. They didn't seem
- 1:30Speaker 3: very good at their job. They just the montage was
- 1:33Speaker 3: them screwing up all the time, but they were having
- 1:35Speaker 3: a good time doing it.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Maybe the real journey was the friendship you made along
- 1:38Speaker 4: the way. Yeah, I think that was very much the
- 1:40Speaker 4: case with this episode. Yeah, it felt all over the shop.
- 1:43Speaker 4: It didn't feel like it didn't feel cohesive.
- 1:47Speaker 3: No, the cake and story. Oh I did it, and
- 1:49Speaker 3: I didn't really join in any way.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Did it? Not? Really?
- 1:52Speaker 5: No?
- 1:52Speaker 4: I mean I'm not even concerned about those two plots
- 1:54Speaker 4: sort of joining up together. It felt like, as I'm
- 1:57Speaker 4: prone to say, a lot of stuff that happened, lot
- 2:00Speaker 4: of stuff thrown into the mix. But somehow they got
- 2:02Speaker 4: the flavor balance right with this one. I think a
- 2:06Speaker 4: good heart and a good sense of humor will take
- 2:08Speaker 4: you a long way, and there are a lot of
- 2:09Speaker 4: good gags in this way.
- 2:11Speaker 3: There was a lot of good gags. You know what
- 2:12Speaker 3: it also is they stuck the landing. When you stick
- 2:14Speaker 3: the landing, it leaves you in a positive mindset. I
- 2:17Speaker 3: just saw the ending. Sometimes we say they you know,
- 2:20Speaker 3: March Forgives Home or whatever, they try to go for
- 2:21Speaker 3: a sentimental ending that comes out of nowhere. It just
- 2:23Speaker 3: felt forced. This sort of came out of nowhere, but
- 2:26Speaker 3: also didn't feel forced. It was just at no point
- 2:28Speaker 3: during the episode where they're a odds with each other
- 2:30Speaker 3: or anything. You know, Homer actually appreciate that she was
- 2:33Speaker 3: doing sexy cakes and you know they've got to go
- 2:34Speaker 3: over a shower with it or whatever. At the end,
- 2:36Speaker 3: it's just like, you know, a little cake to remind you,
- 2:38Speaker 3: and they turn it into a gag because you think
- 2:39Speaker 3: it's going to be a sexy cake. No, it's just
- 2:40Speaker 3: that I love you.
- 2:41Speaker 4: It's just I love you cake. Yes, that's all it needed. Really,
- 2:44Speaker 4: it felt like they had taken on board maybe some
- 2:49Speaker 4: of the complaints that people had about season nineteen, but
- 2:51Speaker 4: that Home's attitude towards March, the way that he closes
- 2:54Speaker 4: it out, or the way this episode closes out with
- 2:56Speaker 4: not I love you too, honey. It's like thanks March.
- 2:59Speaker 4: It's like often do want to say that to the
- 3:01Speaker 4: one that you loves, Like thanks for putting up with
- 3:03Speaker 4: me and thanks for being you and loving me.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Tying up the loose ends of the story as well,
- 3:09Speaker 3: in a sense, where in March. It's just a little
- 3:10Speaker 3: thing where March is in the letter. Don't worry, you'd
- 3:13Speaker 3: be out of prison tomorrow. Just because it doesn't just
- 3:15Speaker 3: end with Homers in prison. Next episode is out of prison,
- 3:17Speaker 3: better explain why. It's just oh, he'll be able to Moorrow.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Doesn't have to explain why or how, just he'll be
- 3:21Speaker 3: able to Moorrow.
- 3:21Speaker 4: Okay, cool thing is It ties it up story wise,
- 3:24Speaker 4: But it's also a good gag as well, because I think, oh, no,
- 3:27Speaker 4: he's in prison, you'll be out of jail tomorrow. That's
- 3:32Speaker 4: actually pretty funny.
- 3:32Speaker 3: And the Flanders story gets wrapped up nicely as well.
- 3:35Speaker 4: I just liked.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I liked also to how the intro little bits of
- 3:39Speaker 3: it played into the story as well. So the reason
- 3:42Speaker 3: Flanders got the new glass window was because of the
- 3:44Speaker 3: rights and the opening act.
- 3:46Speaker 4: And the reason Flanders becomes a bounty hunter is because
- 3:49Speaker 4: his shop doesn't make any damn money. Yes, And I
- 3:53Speaker 4: like the fact that he's often putting faith in the Lord,
- 3:56Speaker 4: or faith in the good nature of human beings or
- 3:59Speaker 4: the economy or anything like that. I like it when
- 4:02Speaker 4: he sometimes it gets sense someone realizes it's not all
- 4:05Speaker 4: going to happen. By the man upstairs, I might have
- 4:07Speaker 4: to take I might at the side hustle, Yeah, and
- 4:09Speaker 4: do doing it with Homer as bounty Hunters. The kind
- 4:13Speaker 4: of idea or the kind of concept when you hear
- 4:16Speaker 4: about it or you read about it in your TV
- 4:17Speaker 4: guide or on your TV guard, remember that one. Now
- 4:21Speaker 4: when you see it on the screen, when you are
- 4:23Speaker 4: scrolling through as we do in the Year of Our
- 4:25Speaker 4: Lord twenty twenty four, you go, this feels like, here, guys,
- 4:30Speaker 4: what if they were Bounty Hunters. Fantastic, but at least
- 4:33Speaker 4: it worked.
- 4:33Speaker 3: At least didn't break his values either. Like you said,
- 4:35Speaker 3: he was just trying to make some money. He may
- 4:36Speaker 3: shure Homer promise when we're going to do it by.
- 4:38Speaker 4: The book, Yeah, they contrasted with each other, but they
- 4:42Speaker 4: complimented each other as well, which.
- 4:44Speaker 3: However, points that out because I'm strong or whatever your kind,
- 4:47Speaker 3: whatever it is. Yeah, we're terrible toll together.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Now, there were parts of it, certainly I thought, Ah,
- 4:54Speaker 4: you're falling into old plot potholes and plot holes. What
- 4:58Speaker 4: were they? Oh, just issues that we've had in the past.
- 5:02Speaker 4: I think where I think there was one in particular
- 5:05Speaker 4: early on you know, during the Saint Patrick's Day parade
- 5:08Speaker 4: or celebrations or whatever is it, Quimby talking about everything
- 5:12Speaker 4: that the Iris has given.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Us and paddy wagon shamrock shack.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Do you have to show us these things? You know how?
- 5:18Speaker 4: It's like, here's a paddy wagon, here's someone drinking a
- 5:21Speaker 4: shamrock shake, here's people river dancing.
- 5:23Speaker 3: You know why, because maybe there are some Americans, maybe
- 5:25Speaker 3: kid viewers out there who you mightn't know what a
- 5:27Speaker 3: paddy wagon is.
- 5:28Speaker 4: I guess.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I mean, I agree, I can understand what you're saying.
- 5:33Speaker 3: I can see it from their side as well, but
- 5:35Speaker 3: it would work your way as well for sure.
- 5:37Speaker 4: And to go to the other end of the of
- 5:40Speaker 4: the episode. Actually, the foot chase between Flanders and Homer,
- 5:44Speaker 4: I thought was great. It was a great idea.
- 5:47Speaker 3: A lot of them was really taking a bike your
- 5:48Speaker 3: Casino Royale.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I think there was a bit of a tribute that.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Certainly with the Girder, you know when they claimed off
- 5:54Speaker 4: the skyscraper and they're on the girder, that's definitely Casino Royale.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And the sub the monorail or subway whatever is the
- 6:00Speaker 3: Italian job or something. Okay, Yeah, I was saying that
- 6:02Speaker 3: that's on Wikipedia. I'll find it the French Connection.
- 6:05Speaker 4: French Connection. Yeah, this is just a good opportunity to,
- 6:09Speaker 4: as they did with those things, pay tribute to, not
- 6:12Speaker 4: just not give actual shout outs and you name checks
- 6:15Speaker 4: to that kind of thing. But it's sort of just
- 6:17Speaker 4: evoke their spirit more than and I was like, oh yeah,
- 6:19Speaker 4: there's almost a there's usually good food chase and something
- 6:22Speaker 4: I remember in Point Break there's a really great food chase.
- 6:24Speaker 4: It was more exciting than any car chase. And instead
- 6:28Speaker 4: they just have to add like bits that I guess
- 6:31Speaker 4: are funny. I don't know. This is more this is
- 6:34Speaker 4: more a me problem than the show problem. It's like
- 6:36Speaker 4: are you throwing bits out of the matrix or you know,
- 6:39Speaker 4: like really unrealistic parkour and.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Those elements that they did there where you could they did.
- 6:45Speaker 3: They took advantage of being animated actually, like the horses
- 6:48Speaker 3: being on the poles, and that's.
- 6:50Speaker 4: A good point. Okay, I take back my original art.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I know I can completely understand what you said.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Well, okay, I w look back just a little bit.
- 6:57Speaker 4: I'm still angry, I'm not as.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Just not taking your fist as hard and cloud getting
- 7:03Speaker 3: back to that you said the two stories they didn't
- 7:04Speaker 3: really sort of blend well together. I actually kind of
- 7:08Speaker 3: like that as well, because we always talk about on
- 7:10Speaker 3: talking Sign found Hair. They always trying to find a
- 7:12Speaker 3: way to have the stories connect. Sometimes it's just you know,
- 7:15Speaker 3: in life, your wife's doing one thing, do another. They
- 7:17Speaker 3: always kept going back to home and Marge in the kitchen.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Just that's why. That's the way they connected it, of
- 7:21Speaker 3: Marge doing her thing, how Aby doing his thing. With
- 7:23Speaker 3: that havn't it because sometimes it can feel like it's
- 7:25Speaker 3: forced the way they trying to connect these stories. This
- 7:27Speaker 3: was just sort of two stories can currently running.
- 7:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think I had a problem with that
- 7:31Speaker 4: so much. I think it was more particularly the one
- 7:34Speaker 4: with the bounty hunder storyline. It didn't feel like it
- 7:37Speaker 4: didn't feel like it went from A to B to
- 7:39Speaker 4: C to D or anything like that. It was just well,
- 7:42Speaker 4: they're bounty hunters. Stuff's gonna happen. And I guess there
- 7:46Speaker 4: was about it.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It was at the time too, that's probably what they were.
- 7:49Speaker 4: I guess there was a thin thread of a story
- 7:52Speaker 4: in there, but it's like, oh, Homer and Flanners as
- 7:54Speaker 4: bounty hunters, be nice if he gave them even just
- 7:58Speaker 4: like a half hour or yeah, a traditional police procedural
- 8:02Speaker 4: kind of mystery solve something like that. It was more
- 8:06Speaker 4: about the relationship, which was fine, which was good. Again, Look,
- 8:10Speaker 4: I think I'm making up problem just to make up problems,
- 8:13Speaker 4: just a film that we do just to talk because
- 8:16Speaker 4: because otherwise, because otherwise you would just be getting forty
- 8:23Speaker 4: minutes straight on why Jackie Brown is the is the unsung,
- 8:31Speaker 4: underrated Jim mcquintin Tarantino's body.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Of Work, No one talks about it.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Why Robert Forster is one of the great Hollywood comeback
- 8:38Speaker 4: stories of all time, and.
- 8:39Speaker 3: You and Leonard mentioned it on the Movie Guide podcast.
- 8:41Speaker 4: I was about to get to that, and why Max
- 8:43Speaker 4: Cherry is the greatest character in the Tarantino universe. So
- 8:48Speaker 4: buckle up, folks, because that's what this podcast is going
- 8:50Speaker 4: to be about. No, that's not true, but you're right,
- 8:53Speaker 4: I mean we are.
- 8:54Speaker 6: Well.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I guess by the time this episode comes out, the
- 8:57Speaker 4: other podcast is going to be out. We can talk
- 8:59Speaker 4: about it free, no more teasing. No, it's the Movie
- 9:02Speaker 4: Guide with Malton and Davis. Can you believe you doing
- 9:04Speaker 4: a podcast with the Leonard Malton with Lennard Maulton and
- 9:07Speaker 4: Guy Davis. I'm pointing at myself here. We don't have
- 9:09Speaker 4: the cameras on today. No, otherwise you'd seen me doing
- 9:12Speaker 4: the two thumbs up and going yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 3: But the last two weeks is going when are we
- 9:15Speaker 3: going to release it? I want to promote it by friends,
- 9:18Speaker 3: nobody else, just for friends. We've been doing it for
- 9:21Speaker 3: six seven weeks now.
- 9:22Speaker 4: We've been doing it for a while.
- 9:23Speaker 3: But I think the reason my mentality this is just
- 9:26Speaker 3: born the curtain back was Leonard and Guy had never
- 9:28Speaker 3: met each other. I think it took a good month
- 9:31Speaker 3: for them to sort of work each other's. Just sweap
- 9:33Speaker 3: the chemistry out, work out the rhythms. Yes, no working
- 9:36Speaker 3: out when someone stopped speaking when it's much tinge to speak.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Just get that flow happening. And you can tell now
- 9:40Speaker 3: because the Welcome to episode that we recorded, which is
- 9:42Speaker 3: the first one available on the movie guide feed links
- 9:44Speaker 3: and description of this podcast, that was recorded last week,
- 9:48Speaker 3: and it can just sense the chemistry is so much
- 9:50Speaker 3: better in that than the first couple of episodes.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's Lenna Moulton we're talking about.
- 9:55Speaker 3: Here, ultimate professional.
- 9:57Speaker 4: He's a bit of a leg and for even to
- 10:00Speaker 4: someone who's been in the movie criticism game for a
- 10:03Speaker 4: few decades, like myself, you're still gonna you know, you're
- 10:06Speaker 4: going to bow before the King, You're going to kiss
- 10:08Speaker 4: the ring.
- 10:09Speaker 3: You're going to go to premieres now like any of you.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Motherfucker's doing a podcastle Molton, No, I didn't think so,
- 10:16Speaker 3: I'm definitely gonna do that.
- 10:19Speaker 4: Called them motherfuckers if I already wasn't despised, But yeah,
- 10:28Speaker 4: we are doing that. But we talked about pulp fiction. Yeah,
- 10:31Speaker 4: Leonard brought up Robert Forster, who makes it. By the way,
- 10:36Speaker 4: why are we talking about this because plays like a
- 10:39Speaker 4: gym in this episode he has a guest appearance. But
- 10:42Speaker 4: he brought him up as like, yeah, my friend Robert Faster.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I'm like, what, we're doing a vocal too, and he goes, yeah, no,
- 10:50Speaker 3: I just hung out with Tom Hanks last week. Like
- 10:52Speaker 3: what I was talking to lem Neeson, like what the
- 10:55Speaker 3: whole episode is? That's awesome? This week it's a famous guy.
- 11:02Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 11:03Speaker 4: It's getting very Chris Fayley up in here. But yeah,
- 11:07Speaker 4: I look, I was very very happy to see that.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Not only that my man Robert Forwson made a guest
- 11:13Speaker 4: appearance in this. He's basically reprising his character from Jackie Brown.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and you can tell Simpson's Riders obviously fans of
- 11:19Speaker 3: that as well. Why else would they give?
- 11:21Speaker 4: Why else would you? This is not Jackie Brown was
- 11:23Speaker 4: not a huge hit. It is definitely one that QT
- 11:28Speaker 4: fanboys really really love, but it's not necessarily one that's
- 11:32Speaker 4: you know, it's not Royale with cheese, it's not in
- 11:35Speaker 4: Glorious Bastards, it's not Once upon a Time in Hollywood.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I enjoy it way more than Once upon a Time
- 11:40Speaker 3: in Hollywood. I think it's a great movie. If you
- 11:43Speaker 3: have not seen Jackie Brown, watch Jackie Brown. So yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 3: it was very very healthy. Your lovely lady from Siel Julia.
- 11:49Speaker 3: She returned our yeah, our yes lovely, but you more
- 11:53Speaker 3: so you're in love marry I mean I want to marry.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Who does not?
- 11:59Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 11:59Speaker 4: Mate, it's very nice that they will come back, even
- 12:04Speaker 4: just for a line or two. Just stick their head,
- 12:06Speaker 4: stick their head in the recording booth from a professional kid.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Yeah, good Lane close returning for Mona.
- 12:13Speaker 4: That's correct.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Who was the voice of Jessica Lovejoy? Wasn't that Meryl
- 12:19Speaker 3: streep streep. Yes, yeah, there was some icon, but I
- 12:25Speaker 3: was getting with this story here with the Flanders and
- 12:27Speaker 3: home story Mountain of madness vibes. Now we've had Homer
- 12:30Speaker 3: and Flanders bond before, right, but when now we're doing
- 12:33Speaker 3: the steakout for fat Tony and Homer's teaching him how
- 12:36Speaker 3: to eat pizza.
- 12:37Speaker 4: It's very sweet.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Reminded me of him teaching Burns how to get food
- 12:40Speaker 3: with that getting up.
- 12:40Speaker 4: That's right. Yeah, Homer has his skill set. It's wholly
- 12:45Speaker 4: impractical and I used to anybody, but it comes in
- 12:50Speaker 4: valuable every once in a while.
- 12:53Speaker 3: My favorite in regards to that scene. One of my
- 12:56Speaker 3: favorite moments. Oh, we're talking about favorite moments, we are, indeed,
- 13:00Speaker 3: how sweet was them singing kindly, D's done done for free, done.
- 13:04Speaker 4: For free, God's.
- 13:08Speaker 3: You know, just Homer and Flanders just being friends. It's
- 13:11Speaker 3: so nice. It was so nice seeing Homer not being
- 13:15Speaker 3: a jerk. Oh yeah, and by the end of it,
- 13:17Speaker 3: you know, he was being somewhat of a jerk at
- 13:19Speaker 3: the end, but he wasn't going out of his way
- 13:21Speaker 3: to be a jerk to Flanners. It was just Homer
- 13:23Speaker 3: being Homer to to an extent. Yes, Yeah, it was
- 13:26Speaker 3: going out of his way to be mean to Flanners
- 13:27Speaker 3: for the second because we've had in season nineteen recently,
- 13:30Speaker 3: it's just mean to Flanners because Homer has to say
- 13:32Speaker 3: something mean to Flanders. It's the way you do think
- 13:34Speaker 3: that they just weren't that their beliefs contradicted each other
- 13:38Speaker 3: at by the end of this episode, that's all it was.
- 13:40Speaker 3: He wasn't a little bit of being mean Tom friend
- 13:42Speaker 3: to be me No, no, no, And I just liked that.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 3: When he's singing his version of ac DC, hom sang
- 13:47Speaker 3: it with him.
- 13:48Speaker 4: What it's probably a trivia question? Yeah, it's not one
- 13:51Speaker 4: of mine. I've only got one here, softer, I've only
- 13:54Speaker 4: got two, so old start you do one, then I'll
- 13:58Speaker 4: do one, and it's like we'll move on.
- 14:01Speaker 6: What was.
- 14:03Speaker 3: The Christian version of one of most questions? ADBC?
- 14:06Speaker 4: ADBC, Oh, oh, how did you say it? I'm like, oh,
- 14:10Speaker 4: it makes perfect sense, yeah, because it just not it
- 14:14Speaker 4: didn't work a good gag, that is right, ADBC. That's
- 14:16Speaker 4: a pretty good game. I think it went by just
- 14:20Speaker 4: quick enough on the show that I was like, do
- 14:22Speaker 4: I want to rewind that? Maybe I should. It's probably
- 14:25Speaker 4: gonna be the question the Dando asks not anymore, But
- 14:28Speaker 4: that was good. I like that a lot. Do you
- 14:30Speaker 4: have more favorite moments? Because I could go on, yes,
- 14:33Speaker 4: I also liked so.
- 14:35Speaker 3: I don't know who voiced the Baker. I'm assuming Hank.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Or Dan or whatever I think, so yeah, I didn't
- 14:40Speaker 4: see any like Noted Irish in the in the what
- 14:43Speaker 4: do you call it?
- 14:43Speaker 3: Guest star list, But I just love that the doctor
- 14:45Speaker 3: hipp a bit. You know, it's a replica of it
- 14:48Speaker 3: does say it, doesn't it?
- 14:48Speaker 4: He's pickiness.
- 14:49Speaker 3: That's exactly what it was, exactly what I was saying,
- 14:52Speaker 3: and I thought that is so obvious but so funny.
- 14:56Speaker 3: What else did you enjoy?
- 14:57Speaker 6: That?
- 14:58Speaker 4: There was some really good just line reading by some
- 15:01Speaker 4: veteran players in here. I mean, oh damn it, I
- 15:05Speaker 4: should I've watched this episode a day or so, so
- 15:07Speaker 4: I might have forgotten the actual line line where this happens,
- 15:12Speaker 4: but it was fantastic timing by Dan c. I think it's,
- 15:16Speaker 4: you know, in the alley when they're having the shootout
- 15:19Speaker 4: in the confrontation, he's talking to Snakes, trying to talking
- 15:21Speaker 4: me out of shooting, and by saying, the first thing
- 15:23Speaker 4: you could do is shoot me, well, yeah, the worst
- 15:27Speaker 4: the worst thing you can possibly do right now is
- 15:29Speaker 4: not shooting me something like that. But then you go
- 15:31Speaker 4: but and I I almost had to stop the show
- 15:37Speaker 4: for a second. It was like, damn, that was funny.
- 15:41Speaker 4: It's just great when you can just nail it with
- 15:43Speaker 4: just one word. Yeah, but I thought that was fantastic.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And speaking of and you know, I know what it
- 15:51Speaker 3: was too now it's if you shoot me, I won't
- 15:53Speaker 3: be able to stop you. But there will be people
- 15:55Speaker 3: who would come up with actually probably not because now
- 15:56Speaker 3: that you've got a reputation and shooting beep.
- 16:00Speaker 4: Ancy the Great Julie also did very very well, just
- 16:03Speaker 4: doing great stuff with Marge was But when Paddy AND's
- 16:06Speaker 4: film would come into the to the Erotic Baker there
- 16:10Speaker 4: getting all oad of the oh oh go by thrill
- 16:21Speaker 4: what you did with the.
- 16:26Speaker 3: Really really that march too, because it's it's true what
- 16:29Speaker 3: he said. He goes, we're not hurting anybody, just like
- 16:32Speaker 3: you're right, Well, yeah, we're actually not. It's just harmless.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Here's the thing.
- 16:35Speaker 4: I'm Erotic Baker still a thing. I remember they were
- 16:37Speaker 4: a big deal for a while, were they I don't
- 16:40Speaker 4: know this And when I say a while, I mean
- 16:42Speaker 4: like maybe ten minutes.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Well, I know in treuse of horror six at the
- 16:46Speaker 3: end of the three even already cakes, I've never seen
- 16:49Speaker 3: an erotic bakery. I'm assuming if you go to a
- 16:51Speaker 3: bakery and say, look.
- 16:53Speaker 4: Like a customer and go, look, I want Dixan cakes,
- 17:01Speaker 4: I'm flattered, maybe a little current. Yeah, I imagine you're
- 17:06Speaker 4: even your most reputable baker. Yeah, they're a creative time
- 17:08Speaker 4: of challenge accepted. Yeah, but whether there's actual places that
- 17:15Speaker 4: are like we do saucy cakes and saucy cakes only
- 17:17Speaker 4: it's like, I think you're limiting your also too.
- 17:20Speaker 3: I think if you market it that way, it's almost
- 17:23Speaker 3: creating this aura of you don't want to be seen
- 17:25Speaker 3: walking in there. You feel kind of funny. I saw
- 17:28Speaker 3: Nicola walking into the Rotic Cake Shop. You know, it's
- 17:30Speaker 3: just I want to go to a bakery and I
- 17:32Speaker 3: want those dick peas. Yeah, I've got the hen with me.
- 17:36Speaker 3: I've got the hens start coming up. I reckon you could,
- 17:39Speaker 3: you know, whip something up?
- 17:40Speaker 4: Of course, so they definitely got a baker still live.
- 17:48Speaker 4: You can have this donut.
- 17:49Speaker 3: It's only been half eaten, be it's still like it's
- 17:52Speaker 3: so expensive now, really is. But they've always been expensive.
- 17:55Speaker 3: But I remember you used to be able to get
- 17:57Speaker 3: those twists and they were three to five dollars. No
- 18:00Speaker 3: more than five dollars. No, the big twist, cheese and
- 18:02Speaker 3: baking twists.
- 18:03Speaker 4: I'm aware of them.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Mike Weaving for ten seconds. Delicious, right, not too just good?
- 18:07Speaker 3: There you go there, Well we're not just getting advised
- 18:10Speaker 3: on what to buy, but also how to prepare. Yeah,
- 18:12Speaker 3: but now like nine dollars each. No twist is worth
- 18:16Speaker 3: nine dollars in my opinion.
- 18:17Speaker 4: No, we're really having to game the system. We've talked
- 18:19Speaker 4: about this before. How you know, Well, today is Tuesday.
- 18:22Speaker 4: We're recoting this on a Tuesday.
- 18:24Speaker 3: Tight as Tuesday.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Yeah, but I don know, but it's coming up on
- 18:28Speaker 4: it's usually Wednesday that the two major supermarket chains, Coals
- 18:31Speaker 4: and Woolworts will send out like, well, we've looked at
- 18:35Speaker 4: your algorithm and we know these are things that you buy,
- 18:37Speaker 4: and here's here are specials for things that you want.
- 18:39Speaker 4: So I'll be always looking at that and go oh okay,
- 18:40Speaker 4: so and so was down half price or whatever. All
- 18:43Speaker 4: so one's half price sales half price sales, which is
- 18:45Speaker 4: actually you know, just the price it always but still
- 18:49Speaker 4: you feel like you're sort of gaming the system. Okay,
- 18:52Speaker 4: well I won't have that this week, but I will
- 18:53Speaker 4: have this instead.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I love that we are aware of how it marketing
- 18:58Speaker 3: shit to us now, but we're just letting them do it,
- 19:00Speaker 3: like everyone knows that. Or the half price sales is
- 19:02Speaker 3: just where it's payment we always pay. But everyone's like,
- 19:05Speaker 3: but that used to be the normal price, and then
- 19:06Speaker 3: we see the special on that price. Now the special
- 19:09Speaker 3: price is what we always paid.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Why what the hell? Everyone is too tired and too
- 19:13Speaker 4: overwhelmed by everything to actually put it to kick up
- 19:16Speaker 4: a stink about it, except us on this podcast. We're
- 19:18Speaker 4: doing the lord's work.
- 19:20Speaker 3: But it was like eighteen months ago I had a
- 19:22Speaker 3: rant about the half price sales and now there's like
- 19:24Speaker 3: an entire section of the catalog dedicated to half price sales,
- 19:26Speaker 3: and I'm like, see, I told you it was coming,
- 19:29Speaker 3: I told you, I told you.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I have one more thing that I enjoyed and
- 19:34Speaker 4: speaking about. Yeah, just good, just good, solid, reliable bits
- 19:39Speaker 4: that worked really really well, like Dan's. But feel free
- 19:44Speaker 4: to turn that into a sweet, sweet sweekend. Don't take
- 19:50Speaker 4: your ring around on me. I's thinking about that all
- 19:53Speaker 4: morning for some really just that, No, don't take your
- 19:57Speaker 4: ring around on me. No, it made me laugh so much.
- 20:02Speaker 3: The whole dramatization might have happened.
- 20:07Speaker 4: The whole bit with Skinner and charm was in the dirt.
- 20:09Speaker 4: It's like, well, I'm going to close my eyes while
- 20:11Speaker 4: you put it down in front.
- 20:11Speaker 3: It's so blatant and just in your face. But just funny,
- 20:14Speaker 3: wasn't it. Oh yeah, and having Agnes as well. Don't
- 20:17Speaker 3: come down? Speaking of I spoke to Tress last week.
- 20:19Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, yeah, oh you did too, go so.
- 20:23Speaker 3: You know what it was?
- 20:24Speaker 4: So she was on the tune of it was terrible.
- 20:27Speaker 3: She is just i't get star struck very often, and
- 20:30Speaker 3: I wasn't necessarily starstruck talking to Tress with Jim Cummings
- 20:35Speaker 3: or the tuned in podcast, but Chris, his son in law,
- 20:38Speaker 3: and I sort of chime in we have with the
- 20:40Speaker 3: Charlby so we co host it. But watching these two
- 20:43Speaker 3: who have clearly been friends for close to forty years,
- 20:45Speaker 3: they were talking and didn't really feel like an interview.
- 20:48Speaker 3: It just felt like old friends catching up. So why
- 20:51Speaker 3: barely we both barely spoke because it would have sit
- 20:53Speaker 3: back going this doesn't need anything added to it.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Well, that's your aproad.
- 20:57Speaker 3: It's just friends talking and this is far more enjoyable.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Then tell us about the show you work, don't. At
- 21:03Speaker 3: the end we got to to do some agna skinner
- 21:04Speaker 3: and whatnot. But for the good portion of it, I
- 21:06Speaker 3: just sat there and watched it, just watching two legends
- 21:09Speaker 3: just who are friends. But Tress is she's just so lovely,
- 21:14Speaker 3: you know. Yeah, excellent, meet your heroes if they're trust me, Neil.
- 21:19Speaker 3: So that'll be available in most cases, not between did
- 21:21Speaker 3: with Jim Cummings in the coming weeks to look out
- 21:22Speaker 3: for that as well.
- 21:23Speaker 4: Okay, so that's what I enjoyed from this episode.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I also enjoyed trivia. Do you want to get into
- 21:27Speaker 3: some trivia question?

- 22:05Speaker 3: what three things does the cake guyin?
- 22:09Speaker 4: Peter Farly?
- 22:11Speaker 3: Peter Farreley is his name, Patrick, Patrick Farley? So of
- 22:13Speaker 3: course Patrick, of course, Patrick Farreley. What are the three
- 22:16Speaker 3: things he says about Marge's cupcakes? Oh, moist, they maintain
- 22:22Speaker 3: their structural integrity or shape retention yep?
- 22:25Speaker 4: And light light what done?
- 22:27Speaker 3: Yeah, good job?
- 22:28Speaker 4: These are things I like in cakes. Shall I ask
- 22:31Speaker 4: you to name all of Quimby's Irish middle names? Or
- 22:35Speaker 4: just three?
- 22:35Speaker 3: I didn't even write them down. I was like, this
- 22:38Speaker 3: is too much effort.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Go for it. Fitzgerald, O'Malley, Fitzpatrick, O'Donnell.
- 22:44Speaker 3: The Edge, all right, the Edge being a reference to, well, that's.
- 22:50Speaker 4: The nineteen ninety seven motion picture The Edge, starring Anthony
- 22:55Speaker 4: Hopkins and Ali Boorman.
- 22:56Speaker 3: No, it might be the guitarist from you two oh
- 23:00Speaker 3: Old the Edge, Old the Edge okay, going in full
- 23:05Speaker 3: Simpsons season nineteen explaining the gag people.
- 23:09Speaker 4: These are the jokes, folks. Yes, did you have another?
- 23:13Speaker 4: I'm trying to find another question here because my other
- 23:15Speaker 4: one was ruined or preempted or just pre gred emptied.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Yes, yes, what does Homer bring home for.
- 23:21Speaker 4: Bart Shells with someone something to have? The bullet still
- 23:27Speaker 4: in the right?
- 23:27Speaker 3: Yes?
- 23:29Speaker 4: Where did Snake and Gloria get the cold shoulder when
- 23:32Speaker 4: they were looking for a pass such of s? Doesn't
- 23:34Speaker 4: it does? Like so many things?
- 23:37Speaker 3: No?
- 23:37Speaker 4: What is it sterling Point? Town home point? That's it?
- 23:41Speaker 4: You town homes at sterling Point?
- 23:43Speaker 3: What is for sale on the bench in the bakery?
- 23:47Speaker 3: You're talking about half it and dinners before something like that,
- 23:49Speaker 3: like yesterday's food, the old wangs.
- 23:56Speaker 4: I love it, Wangs Wangs.
- 23:59Speaker 7: It's good.
- 23:59Speaker 4: It's a good name for for Johnson. Yeah, your wang.
- 24:03Speaker 3: A lot of names Wange Johnson.
- 24:05Speaker 4: Wanne Johnson. That funny. I'm run I've run out of questions.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Let's get into some stonycats, shall we. Let's let's do it, starting,
- 24:25Speaker 3: of course, with the lovely Katy G with her one
- 24:27Speaker 3: hundred dollars support. Thank you so much, Katy G.
- 24:29Speaker 4: Talk about how we're you know, interacting with celebrities because
- 24:33Speaker 4: we're celebrities ourselves. Cady G is just meeting people left
- 24:37Speaker 4: and right. I saw on her social media hanging out
- 24:39Speaker 4: with Sean mcaliff, Australian comedy legend and National treasure Sean mccali.
- 24:43Speaker 3: I think it was at Super and Over, maybe look
- 24:45Speaker 3: at book signing books, but still hanging out. Yeah, exactly,
- 24:48Speaker 3: put on here well than I was doing. Absolutely, Zachlichamas
- 24:52Speaker 3: as well with these one hundred support think you're so
- 24:53Speaker 3: much Zach as well. Absolute Legend still hasn't contacted this
- 24:56Speaker 3: mail bag of forth for a discap dot com. Do
- 24:57Speaker 3: you get in touch? What you like us to review?
- 24:59Speaker 4: Katy G said us another as well, review it for it.

- 25:03Speaker 4: much for us. We'd like to do something for you,
- 25:04Speaker 4: even though we are already doing it by doing this podcast.

- 25:10Speaker 3: new Andrews and our men, our men should say from
- 25:13Speaker 3: the four fig descant team. Zach, what was his name
- 25:15Speaker 3: is that? What do you what do you call him?
- 25:17Speaker 4: Cut? Zach?
- 25:18Speaker 3: Zach? Yeah, and Andrew Swanny mixed one, the Lord of
- 25:20Speaker 3: Discord exactly, the Lord of Discord and our Plex service.
- 25:26Speaker 4: We're getting hooked up to various Plex services these day.
- 25:29Speaker 3: We had a tall shirt box in our bedroom. They
- 25:32Speaker 3: gave it to us for free so you can look
- 25:33Speaker 3: at basically it's like a Google whatever they called, so
- 25:35Speaker 3: you can access the apps. Because our TV in the
- 25:36Speaker 3: bedroom it's not a smart TV. It's it's an older TV,
- 25:39Speaker 3: so it's.
- 25:40Speaker 4: Got I'd be disrespecting the TV, isn't there. See I'm
- 25:43Speaker 4: not a smart TV.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Yes, you can't get the apps. But the old Touch box,
- 25:47Speaker 3: They're like, as of October thirty first Touch the box
- 25:50Speaker 3: isn't working anymore. You have to buy a new box
- 25:52Speaker 3: called Fetch. And I was like, rather not pay hundred
- 25:54Speaker 3: bucks for a new box, And then Nichol was like, oh,
- 25:57Speaker 3: I guess we'll have to answer. Let's just see if
- 25:58Speaker 3: it works and what turned it on. The apps don't
- 26:01Speaker 3: work except for Plex and YouTube and all the shows
- 26:04Speaker 3: we want to watch Plex there and if they're not,
- 26:07Speaker 3: I'll just put them on Plex.
- 26:09Speaker 4: Correct.

- 27:04Speaker 3: it fucking enjoyable.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah, even if the show is no good. Even if
- 27:07Speaker 4: the episode is no good, our episode will be good.

- 27:17Speaker 3: Speaking of our ranting, I watched the Last Trees of Horror.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Not good, not good. I watched the first segment.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I just went, is this the one where Homer becomes
- 27:29Speaker 4: like Venom? Except the jeans.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Segment is not the one yet. No, it's it's a
- 27:34Speaker 3: political but basically it's the left. So there's a blue
- 27:37Speaker 3: monster and a Red monster, Democrats and the Republicans, and.
- 27:40Speaker 4: It's okay, well, yeah, timely cutting edge. Wow.
- 27:45Speaker 3: Yeah, by the way, there's what there's literally one part
- 27:48Speaker 3: where Bart says, yeah, go red monster, you smashed that
- 27:51Speaker 3: building whatever, and and Lisa says, I quote, but I
- 27:55Speaker 3: didn't know you were a right winger. I was like,
- 27:57Speaker 3: I'm done, I'm done.
- 28:00Speaker 4: This is sounding a little implorable.
- 28:01Speaker 3: And it was like my liking, and then it was
- 28:03Speaker 3: he says something in the lines of I just like this,
- 28:05Speaker 3: no bad things, bad things. She's like, so you are
- 28:07Speaker 3: you're right ring on and I'm just I'm done. Oh gosh,
- 28:10Speaker 3: I watched the Simpsons day of this ship.
- 28:13Speaker 4: No, no, you've watched them so we can talk about it.
- 28:16Speaker 3: So stay tuned for season thirty six of The Simpsons.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Following this gap. She's not what I shined up for.
- 28:21Speaker 3: We get there, we're like, what a good episode compared
- 28:23Speaker 3: to the ship we have these days? In season forty five?
- 28:29Speaker 4: Who are you again? Yes? We hang on? No, I
- 28:31Speaker 4: mean it's not going to take us a year.
- 28:33Speaker 3: It took you five years to get through ten seasons, okay,
- 28:36Speaker 3: so two seasons a year. Okay, So for us to
- 28:38Speaker 3: get to be ten seasons, it said two a year.
- 28:43Speaker 3: So that's fourteen sixteen from now. Sixteen from now, it's
- 28:46Speaker 3: another eight years get to that one.
- 28:49Speaker 4: Wow. Okay.
- 28:51Speaker 3: So I'll be Margaret Mary age.
- 28:55Speaker 4: I'll be older and verging on old. Actually yeah, i'll
- 29:00Speaker 4: be old. No, never will forever young.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Can't retires, You're not old to you retire?
- 29:04Speaker 4: That's correct?
- 29:05Speaker 3: And yeah, I've never retired.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Who's can you get retired? Din dine on the job.
- 29:11Speaker 3: All let's get into a review of sex pies and videos.
- 29:14Speaker 3: Oh not video scrapes, you idiot. Sex pies and idiots,
- 29:17Speaker 3: I think it's a video. At the start, that's probably
- 29:20Speaker 3: I said, there's videos in here, you idiot. Dando.
- 29:22Speaker 4: There idiot scrapes in this room. So there we go.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Saved it.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Yes, well there are two idiots in here. Yes, so
- 29:27Speaker 3: sex pies one sex pies and idiot scrapes. That should
- 29:32Speaker 3: say what a silly man?
- 29:33Speaker 4: I was.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Original ed September twenty eight, two thousand and eight, Production

- 29:42Speaker 3: his listeners out there who have been stewing for the
- 29:44Speaker 3: last half an hour, going, you got the joke wrong
- 29:46Speaker 3: at the start.
- 29:47Speaker 4: When are you going to realize this? Steward on it? Yeah,
- 29:53Speaker 4: we were waiting for you to pick up on it
- 29:55Speaker 4: or not not you. I mean we're we're going to
- 29:58Speaker 4: do the save. It was a bit, Yeah, it's a bit.

- 30:11Speaker 3: always give us fat Tony. He has to do it,
- 30:13Speaker 3: he wants to do it. I like the couch gag
- 30:15Speaker 3: in this one. The cabinet with.
- 30:19Speaker 4: Well because Boba Fett is a baddie hunter. Of course
- 30:23Speaker 4: I didn't even put those two together. Neither are.
- 30:28Speaker 3: To be building up to that moment. Wasn't it.
- 30:31Speaker 4: A cub on your toes?
- 30:33Speaker 6: Here?
- 30:33Speaker 3: The episode kicks off though, with just a big sort
- 30:35Speaker 3: of I don't know, not a piss take of St.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Patrick's Day, but just St Patrick Stay Springfield is but
- 30:40Speaker 3: it's a free one because they've already done the booze
- 30:43Speaker 3: heavy Saint Patrick's Day with the home averst of the
- 30:46Speaker 3: Eighth Amendment where Bike gets drunk.
- 30:47Speaker 4: Correct, yes, yes, so I don't know. This show seems
- 30:50Speaker 4: to have something against the Irish, but then it's against everyone, mate,
- 30:55Speaker 4: it's against everyone. But I don't I think Americans in
- 31:00Speaker 4: general have a real They go real hard against the French,
- 31:04Speaker 4: and they go real hard against the Irish. When it
- 31:06Speaker 4: comes to jokes, they do, yeah, and the Irish ones
- 31:10Speaker 4: do feel a little bit more like it's all in
- 31:13Speaker 4: good fun. It's like that mate who's like, can't you
- 31:15Speaker 4: take a joke? Can't you take a joke? It's like
- 31:16Speaker 4: I could also take you not joking every once in
- 31:19Speaker 4: a while. The French they deserve it. I won't say
- 31:23Speaker 4: they deserve. It's more like the French don't care. The
- 31:25Speaker 4: French are just very very content, so does Good the head.
- 31:29Speaker 4: We're French care than you.
- 31:34Speaker 3: But I just think Saint Patrick's Day. Maybe it's just
- 31:35Speaker 3: because I've got kids now and I don't go out drinking.
- 31:37Speaker 3: But I used to feel like what Sir Patrick's daye
- 31:39Speaker 3: was on in Geelong, the pubs would go crazy for it.
- 31:42Speaker 3: Everyone w'd be out having drinks. But it feels like
- 31:43Speaker 3: St Patrick's out Day now in Geelong. It's not really,
- 31:47Speaker 3: it's not a thing anymore, but it just doesn't. Maybe
- 31:49Speaker 3: I'm just in a different crowd now.
- 31:50Speaker 4: I don't know. I don't know. Man. Like I said,
- 31:51Speaker 4: everyone's tired and overwhelmed. Yeah, no one wants to do
- 31:54Speaker 4: shit anymore. I mean, speaking of Halloween recently, we took
- 31:57Speaker 4: kids out. So many grinches these days just oh, not
- 32:01Speaker 4: wanting to do it.
- 32:02Speaker 3: This doesn't a very good thing.
- 32:04Speaker 4: This is Australia.
- 32:04Speaker 3: And I was like, I saw a great little sort
- 32:07Speaker 3: of like TikTok clip of Australians at Halloween and it's
- 32:10Speaker 3: all this one guy beteend to be like some forty
- 32:13Speaker 3: year old Karen or whatever. This is a this is
- 32:15Speaker 3: Australian at America, we do this and all these rants
- 32:17Speaker 3: at the end. So what about Black Friday sales? Oh yeah,
- 32:19Speaker 3: I'll eat that shit up. It's like, yeah, you won't
- 32:23Speaker 3: do Halloween because so it's like you're against kids just
- 32:25Speaker 3: having fun dressing up in a costume. It's like, yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 3: I know, there's so many kids out and just so
- 32:28Speaker 3: many little things that you put on the door in
- 32:30Speaker 3: the estate yes or no, yes, and there's just so
- 32:32Speaker 3: many no's and it's just like a bag of chocolates
- 32:35Speaker 3: for the kids funk off.
- 32:36Speaker 4: Yeah, man, I mean ri inches for Christmas. But you
- 32:39Speaker 4: know it, don't start early, don't start at Halloween. Of course,
- 32:42Speaker 4: was over at my friend Saddy Steve, who loves Halloween.
- 32:46Speaker 4: His name is Steve and he loves Halloween.
- 32:48Speaker 3: He have all the decorations of ever.
- 32:49Speaker 4: He certainly did. He had a big skeleton, He had
- 32:52Speaker 4: a little spider that would jump out at you.
- 32:54Speaker 3: I can shoe your photo of the big blood thing
- 32:55Speaker 3: I got from Spotlight for thirty five dollars. Yeah, I
- 32:58Speaker 3: can keep talking to tell us bet Steve.
- 33:00Speaker 4: Oh it went really really well, and you could tell
- 33:02Speaker 4: that kids have been coming. You upon you, upon you,
- 33:05Speaker 4: and they were always very very happy to see the
- 33:07Speaker 4: evident that Steve went to. So, yeah, props to Steve
- 33:08Speaker 4: for doing all that.
- 33:10Speaker 3: My parents did it for the first time. Well look
- 33:11Speaker 3: at that they got dressed up. Yeah. My mum's always
- 33:14Speaker 3: been the American it's American thing, and then now that
- 33:16Speaker 3: you've got grandkids, she's like, let's get dressed up.
- 33:20Speaker 4: Mama's good. But yeah, Halloween was good this year. Good,
- 33:23Speaker 4: good over it seas, Did did you scare anybody?
- 33:26Speaker 6: No?
- 33:26Speaker 4: Not really Actually no, I did get the Lovely always
- 33:32Speaker 4: because Steve's been horror fan and he's got like a
- 33:35Speaker 4: very accurate Jason Voorhees hockey mask.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I've got the Spotlight one dollar version, which I put.
- 33:43Speaker 4: On because I was put that on the hand out
- 33:44Speaker 4: of the trace of the kids. Took herselfie and sent
- 33:46Speaker 4: it to Losing your boyfriend. She said, that's incredibly unattractive.
- 33:51Speaker 4: It would have It would have suit you too, because
- 33:53Speaker 4: you've got like, don't hair at the back that's correct, yes,
- 33:56Speaker 4: or on top except when you took it off, you're
- 33:58Speaker 4: very handsome and he's very grotesque. That's correct. Thanks, But
- 34:05Speaker 4: a good Halloween was had.
- 34:06Speaker 3: I remember being a kid and watching the first and
- 34:09Speaker 3: watching the third Teenager, maybe watching the first two Frida
- 34:11Speaker 3: or third DS going where the fuck is Jason vorhes
- 34:13Speaker 3: at the hockey mask? Correct, didn't get it, didn't get
- 34:16Speaker 3: it to the third.
- 34:16Speaker 4: No, but you just no one ever talks about that
- 34:19Speaker 4: sort of Jason in the first movie. Well, of course
- 34:22Speaker 4: spoiler spoiler for the first of the Thirteenth. Yeah, but
- 34:24Speaker 4: you know, we didn't reveal who the killer was. It
- 34:26Speaker 4: was that outs act, it was one of them.
- 34:30Speaker 3: But it's also one of the most iconic jump scares
- 34:32Speaker 3: of all time. Well at the end, yes, yeah, people
- 34:35Speaker 3: say it's not as scary as carrying, and I'm like, Noah,
- 34:38Speaker 3: fuck off, that's way scary than the carry.
- 34:39Speaker 6: One.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Carry is pretty spooky, but I ship pants.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Phil Fried is known via the mail bag or any
- 34:49Speaker 4: of our social media feeds, which has a scarier and
- 34:51Speaker 4: jump scared carry or further the thirteenth what do you reckon?
- 34:54Speaker 4: I think carry? You can carry? I do purely for
- 34:56Speaker 4: the purposes of argument, okay, that having Yeah, but no
- 35:04Speaker 4: Jason has a bag on his head for the well
- 35:07Speaker 4: he's not even in the first one, got a bag
- 35:08Speaker 4: on his head in the second.
- 35:09Speaker 3: One, So it's like, what the fuck is He's got
- 35:11Speaker 3: a potato sack in his head? Who thought of that idea?
- 35:14Speaker 3: A guy potato sacking his head?
- 35:15Speaker 4: Still scary, a little scary little eyehole. Yeah, yeah, grabs
- 35:21Speaker 4: that hockey mask, slaps it on and then we're off
- 35:23Speaker 4: to the iconic races are also the third one's got
- 35:25Speaker 4: the great disco version of the other third?
- 35:28Speaker 3: How good is it? I know the score here I
- 35:30Speaker 3: put it on. It's like, this is unbelievable.
- 35:32Speaker 4: I used to play it all the time at Pop
- 35:33Speaker 4: Culture when I was working there. Why I'm no longer
- 35:35Speaker 4: working there. No, it's great.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Remember one time though, because that's the one that's just
- 35:40Speaker 3: sort of it's just sort of slow and look, and
- 35:43Speaker 3: we'll listened to it at work and we're like, is
- 35:45Speaker 3: that boshot to traumatize us? We're working in the office
- 35:47Speaker 3: and it's just quite then. Anyway, it's just taking the
- 35:52Speaker 3: piece out of Saint Patrick's day and it's boos free.
- 35:55Speaker 3: But as you mentioned earlier, so they gave us the
- 35:57Speaker 3: paddy wagon, the shamrock shake and the folk downs where
- 35:59Speaker 3: you don't move your arms.
- 36:01Speaker 4: But before that, yeah, Quimby is really playing up his
- 36:03Speaker 4: quote unquote Irish heritage, which is funny because I mean,
- 36:06Speaker 4: is yeah, clearly a take on Kennedy's Yeah, and I
- 36:09Speaker 4: was confused by it. Yeah, I mean, I don't think
- 36:13Speaker 4: Quimby is necessarily an Irish name.
- 36:14Speaker 3: Maybe it is.
- 36:15Speaker 4: I don't think you needed to have him making this show.
- 36:16Speaker 4: You just didn't seem to know. But he's such an
- 36:19Speaker 4: opportunist that he's like, well, yeah, is he here? Maybe? Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 4: There's a great scene in one of my favorite comedies,
- 36:26Speaker 4: Used Cars. I think I've told you about it, or
- 36:28Speaker 4: we may have talked.
- 36:28Speaker 3: About it and spoke about it, yes, and he was
- 36:30Speaker 3: very impressed that you knew about it. I can tell
- 36:33Speaker 3: it because guys during the Movie Guy podcast, I'm sort
- 36:35Speaker 3: of just sitting there, just keeping the show going with
- 36:37Speaker 3: the volumes. And sometimes I've seen Guy, I think, talk
- 36:39Speaker 3: about this or whatever. And sometimes I can sit there
- 36:42Speaker 3: and I can hear let us say something but use
- 36:45Speaker 3: Cars and new show. I love Used Cars. This is
- 36:48Speaker 3: what happens, and I can hear and then his voice, Ah,
- 36:50Speaker 3: this guy fucking he knows his ship.
- 36:52Speaker 6: Now.
- 36:52Speaker 3: I think like after a few episodes, you proved to Leonard,
- 36:55Speaker 3: Oh no, this guy's not just some guy likes movies.
- 36:57Speaker 3: This guy knows movies.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Well, then use cars. Kurt Russell plays this hus car
- 37:01Speaker 4: salesman and it's a big day of the lot and
- 37:04Speaker 4: everyone he goes up to. If it's a black plane,
- 37:07Speaker 4: he's like, hey, Rudy Washington Carver, good to meet you, Aura.
- 37:10Speaker 4: If it's in Hispanic film, like Rudy Martinez, come a star.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I think there's some irish when he says, hey, yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 4: I'm Rudy or Donald, good to meet you. So, yeah,
- 37:20Speaker 4: you've been opportunities like that. And just do you own
- 37:23Speaker 4: use cars? Oh yeah, absolutely, yeah, got it on Blue Yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 4: fantastic man. There's one good thing about earning a lot,
- 37:33Speaker 4: owning a lot of Kurt Russell movies on DVD or
- 37:35Speaker 4: Blu ray is that he will do commentary and he
- 37:37Speaker 4: is always just laughing his ars, having a great time.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Oh yeah, all the ones he does with John Carpenter
- 37:43Speaker 4: on Big Trumble, a Little China and the Thing and
- 37:46Speaker 4: what's the other one escape from New York and wants
- 37:49Speaker 4: to be there, Oh yeah, and just cracking himself and
- 37:52Speaker 4: everyone else up. It's so much fun anyway, but irish. Yeah, yeah,
- 37:58Speaker 4: Quibi was doing that bit we've had the sh I'm
- 38:00Speaker 4: rockshake and the rivet answer, but.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Makes a line here which apparently was very controversial.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Where's the IRA when you need them?
- 38:07Speaker 3: And it says It's third controversy in Northern Ireland over
- 38:10Speaker 3: the brawl that occurred in the opening After the episode,
- 38:13Speaker 3: the broad between Irish and Northern Irish people included Bart's
- 38:15Speaker 3: line where the IRA when you need them? Gregory Campbell,
- 38:18Speaker 3: a Northern Irish MP for East Londonderry in Northern Ireland,
- 38:22Speaker 3: said The Simptons is a humorous cartoon, but the context
- 38:25Speaker 3: of using a line like that about an organization which
- 38:27Speaker 3: caused so much death will lead to people to have
- 38:29Speaker 3: very mixed views. Some may take it as a lighthearted reference,
- 38:32Speaker 3: while others who are affected by the real life violence
- 38:34Speaker 3: of the IRA are still suffering with that legacy.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Well not, I get where he's coming from. I mean
- 38:39Speaker 4: the IRA. We're pretty hardcore.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Yeah, what's just like people still making jokes now about
- 38:44Speaker 3: nine to elevens. Just it will always be too soon.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Just don't do it.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Don't do it, No, just don't do it.
- 38:49Speaker 3: The parade, he don't we So the Irish boy resembling
- 38:51Speaker 3: a potato the straight Catholic priests and there's two in
- 38:54Speaker 3: a lot of empty chairs. I was like, oh, there's
- 38:56Speaker 3: empty chairs. That's something. And then the small Irish family,
- 39:00Speaker 3: which is just a bunch of kids running around, and
- 39:03Speaker 3: then the Northerners arrived, big.
- 39:08Speaker 2: Both of you.
- 39:09Speaker 4: You have a common land and literature and the sweetest.
- 39:12Speaker 8: Songs on earth Tura lora lura, doa loa li Hush
- 39:21Speaker 8: my little baby, hush, now, don't you crya.
- 39:49Speaker 3: Everyone's happy if I's having a good time. But when
- 39:50Speaker 3: the song ends, they realize that we're that booze. They
- 39:53Speaker 3: remember how much they had each other, have a big
- 39:55Speaker 3: fire at the Hulk and the thing.
- 39:58Speaker 4: Because they're greenland Redish?
- 40:01Speaker 3: Is it red?
- 40:01Speaker 4: I thought it was orange? Yeah, I know, but he's
- 40:03Speaker 4: close enough.
- 40:04Speaker 3: To read yeah, yeah, yeah. And as much as he
- 40:07Speaker 3: was such a pleasant day until the Irish turned up
- 40:09Speaker 3: and the kids, there's a bunch of Irish kids. Take
- 40:11Speaker 3: us basket of cupcakes while she has cupcakes, I'm not
- 40:13Speaker 3: too sure that it's Irish. Patrick stay cupcakes with the
- 40:16Speaker 3: clover on top. Then Patrick Farreley arrives, He helps out,
- 40:19Speaker 3: takes the cupcakes away from the kids, and he offers
- 40:21Speaker 3: her a job at his cake store. At his bakery,
- 40:23Speaker 3: I should say, I have a tasty one of the cakes.
- 40:25Speaker 3: And March has a vision, what would we like working
- 40:27Speaker 3: in an actual case store. And it's just her on
- 40:28Speaker 3: the way to work, boxes in the car, and she said, Homer,
- 40:31Speaker 3: I've got some great news. Homer says he'll use his
- 40:33Speaker 3: one phone call to hear all about it because he's
- 40:35Speaker 3: being arrested. Come to the court case now. And I
- 40:38Speaker 3: didn't really get the joke about the hulk here. The
- 40:39Speaker 3: Hulk wants to have his case transferred to another courtroom
- 40:43Speaker 3: because you won't get a fair trial in downtown Springfield. Yeah,
- 40:46Speaker 3: is there a joke there that I'm missing?
- 40:47Speaker 4: Unless it's like a really ham fisted, a tempered like
- 40:51Speaker 4: some racial commentary, I don't know a person of color
- 40:54Speaker 4: could not get a fair trial in say a lily
- 40:58Speaker 4: white area like Springfield.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Maybe, But Homer's bailers said at twenty five thousand dollars
- 41:03Speaker 3: because he's a three peat offender, a refender offender. Then
- 41:06Speaker 3: he says he goes to the bad ones because the
- 41:10Speaker 3: judge not suggest to him. Pay ten percent to shop
- 41:12Speaker 3: to your court date. We'll have this all covered then,
- 41:14Speaker 3: woof a take on Dog Surprised I didn't just get
- 41:17Speaker 3: Dog the Boundie Hunter. Maybe didn't want to do it.
- 41:19Speaker 4: Maybe Yeah, I think Dog the Boundary Hunter strikes me
- 41:21Speaker 4: as someone who takes himself very seriously.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Yes, well or for the show, even though he looks
- 41:28Speaker 3: the way he does. Anyone has that haircut. Though. If
- 41:32Speaker 3: you're a fan of everything we do here at four

- 42:00Speaker 6: The name's Wolf and I'm a bounty hunter. If someone
- 42:03Speaker 6: skips bail, I track him down and bring them back.
- 42:06Speaker 6: I also take a tooth, make a plaster cast, put
- 42:09Speaker 6: it on this necklace, then replace the tooth at my expense.
- 42:13Speaker 4: Well, time to go back to.
- 42:14Speaker 6: My world of sleazy bars, tattoo parlors, and greasy spounds.
- 42:18Speaker 1: What a great job, and I could use a job
- 42:21Speaker 1: right now.
- 42:22Speaker 6: Whooh not just anyone can be a bounty hunter. You
- 42:25Speaker 6: have to pass an online exam and no way they
- 42:27Speaker 6: got rid of that. There is a ten dollars filing fee,
- 42:30Speaker 6: but you can get around it. Congratulations, you're now about
- 42:32Speaker 6: the Hunter.
- 42:33Speaker 3: I'm surprised that he didn't. Maybe if he voiced the role,
- 42:37Speaker 3: he would had a more prominent role, but he was
- 42:39Speaker 3: just there to sort of be yes. It was a
- 42:42Speaker 3: figure of the time reference to Bounty Hunter. Yeah, it's
- 42:44Speaker 3: a bit of a scary movie kind of eh. Yeah
- 42:48Speaker 3: you know this ah that show. I can't now know
- 42:50Speaker 3: what bout the Hunter is. Yeah, Homo's first one is
- 42:53Speaker 3: he setting the trap of football condos, bail jump is welcome,
- 42:56Speaker 3: and Snake and Gloria driving around in Gloria's pregnant now
- 42:59Speaker 3: is knocked up? She hasknocked up? Indeed? I mean then
- 43:01Speaker 3: chase a snake into the alley and this is the
- 43:03Speaker 3: mountain we're talking about earlier where it's like you could
- 43:06Speaker 3: shoot me and I won't be able to stop you.
- 43:08Speaker 1: But now, are you gonna come quietly or do I
- 43:13Speaker 1: have to? Now, let's think about this. If you shoot me,
- 43:17Speaker 1: I won't be able to stop you, and you'll be
- 43:20Speaker 1: free to go, but someone may come after you, probably
- 43:25Speaker 1: not giving your reputation for shooting people who come after you.
- 43:28Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is not shooting me now
- 43:32Speaker 1: would be the biggest mistake of your life.
- 43:41Speaker 3: Come back from commercial and the bullet flies off the
- 43:44Speaker 3: bulletproof glass and hit Snake in the arm. I want
- 43:46Speaker 3: to say, what do you think of Flanner's having to
- 43:49Speaker 3: say bulletproof glass, like you have to explain it. I
- 43:52Speaker 3: guess I guess you have to explain it because I
- 43:53Speaker 3: think you might have to explain Ye. Yeah, was like that.
- 43:55Speaker 3: I don't mind. Hom So basically Flanners tries to talk
- 43:59Speaker 3: Snake out of it, saying, you know, if you take
- 44:01Speaker 3: responsible for your actions, you might be on the right
- 44:03Speaker 3: path and out having a better life.
- 44:04Speaker 4: And it looks like Snake's about to change. Man.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Homah comes with the bag over his head. I love
- 44:08Speaker 3: that this case is in the bag. Pretty good catchphrase,
- 44:14Speaker 3: good a catch rack, and it's his stick. Now every
- 44:16Speaker 3: person puts the bags cases.
- 44:17Speaker 4: In the bag, plastic bag on the head like that though.
- 44:22Speaker 3: Then Fanners is cleaning his window in the store and
- 44:25Speaker 3: he says, it's nice backing. Now watch people, what buy
- 44:26Speaker 3: my store? Thanks for shopping elsewhere, and Homer brings in
- 44:29Speaker 3: a thank you card that says, thanks for saving my
- 44:31Speaker 3: ass a big Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 4: What a cash it looks like a nice, sizable one.
- 44:37Speaker 3: It did, Yeah, And he says, we make a great team.
- 44:40Speaker 3: You're kind of smart, I'm cool and strong. Together we
- 44:43Speaker 3: are two great tastes and taste great together. It makes
- 44:45Speaker 3: something though. Promise though, if we're going to be a team,
- 44:47Speaker 3: you have to do everything by the book. And he says,
- 44:49Speaker 3: we have no diddlies or doodles if you get to
- 44:51Speaker 3: say deal Runey's I know. Marge is now baking for
- 44:55Speaker 3: Patrick and she's confused, why are you making me any
- 44:58Speaker 3: baked rog stears and half moons? Yeah? And then Patty
- 45:02Speaker 3: and someone arrive and he goize, oh, it's one of
- 45:04Speaker 3: those stores, because just by doing those shapes, I didn't
- 45:06Speaker 3: quite know what that was meaning. Look, what would a
- 45:09Speaker 3: half moon be? A boob?
- 45:10Speaker 4: I guess or a butt? I get two of them,
- 45:13Speaker 4: two of them, yeah, I guess.
- 45:15Speaker 3: So yeah, clearly. I've never bought an erotic cakes, nor
- 45:18Speaker 3: have I. Yeah, I just never eaten one, never seen one. Well,
- 45:22Speaker 3: I don't think i've ever seen one.
- 45:23Speaker 4: If you're imagining enough, all cakes are erotic.
- 45:26Speaker 3: You've got them to be. Yeah, Patty and Summer especially,
- 45:29Speaker 3: they love it. A bachelorette party for a girl who's
- 45:32Speaker 3: a bit naughty, and it's going to be tasty and tasteless.
- 45:35Speaker 4: I like that line. Yeah, tasting tasteless. Yeah.
- 45:38Speaker 3: Marge realizes here and then Olive he leaves them with
- 45:42Speaker 3: the fold of suggestive Canoli's. That's when they're like, oh,
- 45:46Speaker 3: Marge's furious, but he says, you know, it feels most
- 45:49Speaker 3: of my customers are married couples. Feels the need and
- 45:51Speaker 3: it harms nobody. Marge's got no comeback. She's like, oh,
- 45:54Speaker 3: you got a point.
- 45:55Speaker 6: My number one customers are married couples, your friends and neighbors.
- 45:59Speaker 4: I just need a custom order for the Hibberts.
- 46:01Speaker 6: It's an exact replica of the Good Doctors.
- 46:05Speaker 4: It's not what you think it is. God, it's a penis.
- 46:09Speaker 4: That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm wondering who the
- 46:13Speaker 4: first baker to come up with like an erotic variant
- 46:17Speaker 4: on a on a tasty pastry. I'm betting that it
- 46:22Speaker 4: happened somewhere like in seventeenth century France or somewhere like that.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Long time ago.
- 46:27Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm betting. Yeah, you get you know, you
- 46:30Speaker 4: imagine we're talking about the French earlier, love them, love
- 46:33Speaker 4: the French. I have truth, And if you look at
- 46:36Speaker 4: it this way, it looks a bit low.
- 46:39Speaker 3: You just love You've got off this accent. Then you
- 46:41Speaker 3: go on to the French accent.
- 46:43Speaker 4: Oh love them. Well, I can't do the Mexican anymore.
- 46:46Speaker 4: You saw what happened. Click. We're waiting for that episode
- 46:51Speaker 4: in South Park. It's like this is going to be
- 46:53Speaker 4: twenty minutes of dead air. But no, I can imagine
- 46:58Speaker 4: the French sort of doing something that was like maybe,
- 47:00Speaker 4: if you look at it from this angle, you on
- 47:03Speaker 4: those elements popular pie. That guy was a hero and
- 47:08Speaker 4: got canceled.
- 47:08Speaker 3: I know it was originally a space dam too, and
- 47:10Speaker 3: they pulled the pin.
- 47:11Speaker 4: I was like, well, he's a sex pest, literal sex pest.
- 47:14Speaker 6: He was.
- 47:17Speaker 3: But the Patrick here says, march a gift, go to waste.
- 47:21Speaker 3: You've got to do this, and we have good neighbors
- 47:23Speaker 3: boundy hunters.
- 47:24Speaker 4: Was this little tune of Electric Avenue was yeah, which
- 47:27Speaker 4: makes everything better? It was well okay to the accompaniment
- 47:32Speaker 4: of Electric Avenue by Eddie Grant. Yes, fantastic song.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Just before that, though, we have Flannders thanking God for
- 47:38Speaker 3: the amount of criminals he sent down for him to catch,
- 47:40Speaker 3: and Homer abusing his used of the taser.
- 47:42Speaker 4: Do you know anyone who owns a taser owns a taste?
- 47:45Speaker 4: But I know someone who is in the police is
- 47:48Speaker 4: in the police force, and part of your training courses,
- 47:49Speaker 4: you have to get tased. You have to get tased
- 47:52Speaker 4: because you have to know what it feels like. If
- 47:54Speaker 4: you're going to be doing it to somebody, you have
- 47:56Speaker 4: to that way. You don't just because if you didn't
- 47:59Speaker 4: know what it felt like, you might just do it
- 48:00Speaker 4: really nearly realize how much it hurts.
- 48:01Speaker 3: So it's really hurts. It's trying to teach the police
- 48:04Speaker 3: do it if you have to, because this is what
- 48:06Speaker 3: is what it feels like.
- 48:07Speaker 4: You know, Do you also have to get shot?
- 48:08Speaker 2: No?
- 48:09Speaker 3: You I think you do with the best on Yes,
- 48:11Speaker 3: really the bullet Johnny Knoxville. But it's not a bullet.
- 48:13Speaker 3: I think it's a like just a lot of paletteeah,
- 48:15Speaker 3: like a rubber bullet.
- 48:16Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Yeah, Nikola had to do taste shid to do pepper
- 48:19Speaker 3: spray basically, so she pep bray. Yes, so she had
- 48:22Speaker 3: to stand at the end and they sprape up a
- 48:25Speaker 3: spray into the and you have to walk through it
- 48:26Speaker 3: with your eyes open. Yeah, that's part Nicholas police training.
- 48:29Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness, no good I'll be it.
- 48:34Speaker 4: No thanks, all right, Electric Avenue.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Yes, so montage here of them obviously go here not
- 48:40Speaker 3: being very good at their job. They seem to be
- 48:43Speaker 3: sucking up all the time. They catch some guys.
- 48:44Speaker 4: But yeah, yeah, I mean I never really watched Dog
- 48:47Speaker 4: the bounty Hunter, but I'm imagining.
- 48:49Speaker 3: It's not as we said. He seems very he seems
- 48:52Speaker 3: very theatrical. Yeah, he's the Steve Irwin of bounty hunters.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Correct. I imagine if you watched like an everyday professional
- 49:02Speaker 4: boundy hunt, it'd be like watching a show about like
- 49:05Speaker 4: an everyday private investigator. It probably a lot of it
- 49:07Speaker 4: is probably paperwork and just steakouts and kind of dull.
- 49:10Speaker 4: I don't think there's gonna be a lot of you know,
- 49:13Speaker 4: foot chases or car chases or gunfights or fistfights or
- 49:16Speaker 4: anything like that. I imagine it's fairly straightforward.
- 49:18Speaker 3: I'm just looking at Dog the Boundy Hunter here too,
- 49:20Speaker 3: and he's got three shows. Now he's got Dodor Boundie
- 49:24Speaker 3: Hunter like now, I mean no, no, no. So once
- 49:27Speaker 3: Dog the Boundery Hunter finished, it was Dog and Beth
- 49:29Speaker 3: on the hunt. Okay, and then it's dogs most wanted
- 49:32Speaker 3: squeeze every lars but the juice out of that brand.
- 49:34Speaker 3: I guess Dog, well, he murdered somebody, excuse me, murder
- 49:37Speaker 3: of Jerry Bowers Oliver. In the late hours of September fifteen,
- 49:40Speaker 3: nineteen seventy six, twenty three year old Dwayne Chapman, who
- 49:43Speaker 3: was doctor Boundy Hunter, tweeny two year old seventeen year
- 49:46Speaker 3: old and nineteen year Olah Blah armed themselves and drove
- 49:49Speaker 3: to an address the home of Jerry Bowers Oliver, thirty
- 49:52Speaker 3: four year old resident of Texas. Oliver was known to
- 49:55Speaker 3: sal marijuana and the group planned to rob him. One
- 49:59Speaker 3: of them entered Oliver's home while Chapman, Fisher and guys
- 50:01Speaker 3: are waited outside by their vehicle. Around eleven forty pm.
- 50:04Speaker 3: Oh this friend shot Oliver in the RP at close
- 50:07Speaker 3: range with a sawn Off shotgun and the group all.
- 50:09Speaker 4: Fled the scene.
- 50:11Speaker 3: I'm assuming I keep winning. It's like and this was
- 50:12Speaker 3: the moment where Doug realizing his attorney's life around. And
- 50:15Speaker 3: it is a chase the criminals, not b one.
- 50:18Speaker 4: Crime does not pay except when I'm chasing the criminals,
- 50:20Speaker 4: and then it pays really well.
- 50:23Speaker 3: Dogsmost Wanted in twenty nineteen, additional spin off featuring Dog
- 50:25Speaker 3: and Beath called Dogsmas wanted to add for a single season,
- 50:28Speaker 3: Dog Unleashed. His new series was canceled in twenty twenty
- 50:31Speaker 3: one before it aired, canceled. That's a film, an entire.
- 50:38Speaker 3: It's not the movie, the Waally Coyote film. Oh yeah, finished,
- 50:41Speaker 3: The film's done. It could be released tomorrow. But it's
- 50:43Speaker 3: like noride off as a tax, right, that's insane.
- 50:46Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the same with Bad Girl.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Yeah, that is incredible.
- 50:49Speaker 4: Warner Brothers, they're just dropping the ball.
- 50:51Speaker 3: They have no fucking idea what they're doing.
- 50:53Speaker 4: Oh no, it's terrible. Everyone hates Warner Brothers at the
- 50:55Speaker 4: moment for a lot of reasons.
- 50:56Speaker 3: Yeah, the mallaid reasons.
- 50:57Speaker 4: The most recent one is Clint Eastwood, absolutely living legend,
- 51:02Speaker 4: one of our great screen presences, and you know, great
- 51:06Speaker 4: directors as well. Ninety something years old, he's still with us.
- 51:09Speaker 4: It's Margaret Mary Age. He's made this movie called During
- 51:12Speaker 4: Number two. Apparently it's really really good, just a good, solid,
- 51:14Speaker 4: mainstream legal thriller. Warner Brothers is like, uh, yeah, we
- 51:19Speaker 4: don't see a lot of money in this. We're going
- 51:21Speaker 4: to put it in like maybe fifty theaters, and no,
- 51:24Speaker 4: we're not going to report on any box office takings
- 51:26Speaker 4: or anything like that.
- 51:28Speaker 3: You're a movie studio and it's Clinton Eastwood.
- 51:31Speaker 4: It's Clint Eastwood. I mean, apparently the guy who runs
- 51:33Speaker 4: Warner Brothers kind of like, oh, it's show business, not
- 51:35Speaker 4: show friends. Someone very wise I said, this guy has
- 51:38Speaker 4: made money for you recently.
- 51:40Speaker 3: It's not like it's not like Yeo's Zoieberg's uncle.
- 51:46Speaker 4: I was about to diss Brandon Fraser here, but I
- 51:48Speaker 4: mean there was that whole thing about Brendan Fraser. Harry
- 51:50Speaker 4: was like, oh, we're glad he's back, and you know,
- 51:51Speaker 4: patting on he had like his three headed dog, three
- 51:53Speaker 4: legged dog or something. No, this guy is still vible,
- 51:57Speaker 4: still making money for you guys, and you're fucking treating
- 51:58Speaker 4: him like a red head steptot fucking.
- 52:00Speaker 3: Up and joker too. I wouldn't to do any fucking audience.
- 52:03Speaker 4: Oh yeah, they made that. That's the rod they made
- 52:06Speaker 4: for their own back. But this was this was like
- 52:08Speaker 4: a deliberate just own goal on their part. I don't know.
- 52:11Speaker 4: They fucking up, very disrespectful.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Guys.
- 52:17Speaker 4: No good, no good.
- 52:20Speaker 3: That's what happens when you know, two conglomerates come together
- 52:22Speaker 3: and no one fucking knows who the bosses anymore? Correct, Yes, yeah, anyway,
- 52:26Speaker 3: it's enough ranting about WBD. But Homer is you know,
- 52:32Speaker 3: they're doing the montage of Homer and Flanners of catching
- 52:34Speaker 3: up the criminals, and Homo brings home some shellcasings for bar.
- 52:37Speaker 3: As we said earlier, point the bolts away from your
- 52:39Speaker 3: sisters when you hamm of them obviously know what they are.
- 52:41Speaker 3: It gets a new chemistry set for Lisa, which is
- 52:43Speaker 3: from a meth lab, the greatest, the biggest meth lab
- 52:46Speaker 3: in Springfield, whatever. And she said, that's evidence evidence that
- 52:49Speaker 3: I love my little girl. Good line, good line. Yeah,
- 52:52Speaker 3: and he's you're a dozen roses for Marge, and Marge's
- 52:55Speaker 3: got here.
- 52:55Speaker 4: You don't have to count their actions an actual dozen.
- 52:57Speaker 3: Yeah, and Marge, you think is gonna get give him
- 52:59Speaker 3: a cake, but she gives him a sterling silver picture
- 53:01Speaker 3: frame with the kids inside, and he suggests you should
- 53:04Speaker 3: make a cake for this his birthday. She slaps him
- 53:05Speaker 3: and says it's muscle spasms. Then we get the steak
- 53:08Speaker 3: out for fat Tony at Luigi's. And as we're saying earlier,
- 53:11Speaker 3: I just really like the ac DC because we're Australian
- 53:14Speaker 3: and they're from up the road.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Du but little steak up music, Homer, I don't think
- 53:19Speaker 2: we have the same musical tastes.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Well. I like ac DC.
- 53:22Speaker 2: I like their Christian cover band a DBC. Kindly Deeds
- 53:26Speaker 2: done for free, Kindly.
- 53:29Speaker 7: Deeds John for free, candy Duds for free, Candy Deeds
- 53:36Speaker 7: Durander done for free, candy Deeds Turnder done for free.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Hmm. I've never seen anyone eat pizza like that.
- 53:50Speaker 1: Oh, you gotta try it this way to Pepperoni, stay
- 53:53Speaker 1: in tac tillate, reach your stomach then bam.
- 53:57Speaker 3: It's always you mentioned in the Movie Guy podcast recently,
- 54:00Speaker 3: you and Leonnon were talking about how it's great when
- 54:02Speaker 3: you suggest a film to somebody who they might not
- 54:04Speaker 3: ever seen or heard of, and they really enjoy it.
- 54:06Speaker 3: Also is that when you suggests like a food, you're
- 54:08Speaker 3: going to try this food, and they taste like.
- 54:10Speaker 4: It was great, like I know another convert on the course.
- 54:14Speaker 3: Yes, exactly, and it's having a great time. And then
- 54:16Speaker 3: they see fat Tony they chase after him. And if
- 54:19Speaker 3: we just get another bit of a chase sequence here,
- 54:21Speaker 3: don't we we do we need? And Homer has no
- 54:24Speaker 3: I think he's indifferent to human life or something. So
- 54:27Speaker 3: basically you can see here there are two ways of
- 54:29Speaker 3: going about it are starting to really differentiate because you
- 54:32Speaker 3: can say he always runs overge Yes, he always runs
- 54:35Speaker 3: over Selma with a cake in her hand, which is
- 54:37Speaker 3: a little call back to you know, and that results
- 54:41Speaker 3: in a terrific joke Yes, with Charmers and Skinner. They
- 54:44Speaker 3: drive into the subway and then they catch fat Tony
- 54:46Speaker 3: chokes him anyway with the bag, and Homer is annoyed
- 54:49Speaker 3: that Flanners is not turning out as bad as the
- 54:52Speaker 3: people that they chase, and then Flanners says, there's time.
- 54:55Speaker 3: This relationship is over. On the way home, just like
- 54:57Speaker 3: a little married couple, take your foot of the gas
- 54:59Speaker 3: in the hill. I'll take your foot off the pedal.
- 55:01Speaker 3: You'll see some gas going down hill and tries to
- 55:03Speaker 3: check himself because he's had enough of it. Homer is
- 55:05Speaker 3: now sad moping around the house. He wants one of
- 55:08Speaker 3: those extra long twinkies that Marge has been baking, which
- 55:11Speaker 3: were unfortunately with the smith's commitment ceremony. It's nice that
- 55:13Speaker 3: in twenty twenty four and it's not for a commitment
- 55:15Speaker 3: cemeron anymore. Just cat a wedding.
- 55:16Speaker 4: Yep, yep.
- 55:17Speaker 3: You have to commit to somebody. It's just you're marrying somebody.
- 55:20Speaker 4: Correct.
- 55:21Speaker 3: Marge comes clean, I'm in and everybody at bakery and
- 55:23Speaker 3: she hit all the cakes in the vegetable draw in
- 55:25Speaker 3: the food Slimber would never find them. I can understand
- 55:27Speaker 3: with holding sex. Maybe cake but sexy. And Homer's not
- 55:31Speaker 3: so sure about this, and Marcha just we have cake
- 55:33Speaker 3: in bed, but first you're gonna have cake in the shower.
- 55:35Speaker 4: Food in the shower.
- 55:36Speaker 3: No beer in the showers.
- 55:37Speaker 4: We've said beer in the shower, yes, one of the
- 55:38Speaker 4: best things in life. Food in the shower. I can't
- 55:41Speaker 4: think of any that really work.
- 55:42Speaker 5: No.
- 55:43Speaker 3: I once had a friend who lived with the guy
- 55:46Speaker 3: rented who used to eat his breakfast in the shower
- 55:48Speaker 3: before he got to work to save some time, and
- 55:50Speaker 3: he would leave the weep Bix bowls in the shower.
- 55:52Speaker 4: No, well that's that person is just yeah substandard.
- 55:55Speaker 3: You go into the bathroom and there'd be like two
- 55:56Speaker 3: or three week Bix bowls in the corner in the show,
- 55:58Speaker 3: just like you just add to it. You wouldn't take
- 56:00Speaker 3: them out.
- 56:01Speaker 4: This person though, clearly thought they had, you know, the
- 56:03Speaker 4: grind set going on. They clearly thought they were like
- 56:05Speaker 4: a total sigma male.
- 56:07Speaker 3: It's like seeing something Kraner would do. Don't you reckon,
- 56:10Speaker 3: I'm saving some time, Jerry, breakfast in the showery crushing it,
- 56:13Speaker 3: crushing life. The home is they're driving you around and
- 56:17Speaker 3: he sees the sign for their business.
- 56:19Speaker 4: It's all sad.
- 56:20Speaker 3: Flat has walked in and tells like a Jim that
- 56:21Speaker 3: he's at the business now. He's not going to do
- 56:23Speaker 3: it anymore, but he has one last job for him.
- 56:24Speaker 3: He says, give it to Homer. Can't be home because
- 56:26Speaker 3: it is Homer. It is Homer. He says, well, if
- 56:29Speaker 3: you don't, don't going to give the job to one
- 56:30Speaker 3: of these other boundy hunters, and one of them is
- 56:32Speaker 3: from Planet Terror.
- 56:34Speaker 4: Cherry Rose, Cherry Darling, True Darling, Choe Darling with the
- 56:37Speaker 4: machine gun.
- 56:38Speaker 3: L one of them was Joe Darling.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Yes, oh my goodness to Tarantino shout outs in one episode.
- 56:43Speaker 3: I haven't watched Planet Terror since the first one. I
- 56:45Speaker 3: watched it, like how long ago? Twenty years ago? Now ish?
- 56:48Speaker 3: Two than seven ish? Wasn't it about that? Yeah, it
- 56:51Speaker 3: wasn't blown Away White. I think it's fun or maybe
- 56:53Speaker 3: it was the first one.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Well there's two. There's two movies in the groundhouse. There's
- 56:57Speaker 4: Planet Terror, directed by Robert Rodriguez. It's death Proof Tarantino.
- 57:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's proofs. I think it was what I just
- 57:02Speaker 3: got went. It's fine.
- 57:04Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 57:05Speaker 4: Can I put my film nerd hat on a bit
- 57:08Speaker 4: of a teeth of the movie guy here? Absolutely? But yeah,
- 57:12Speaker 4: you've got the two movies in grindhouse. It was a
- 57:14Speaker 4: novelty of having a back to back back to back,
- 57:16Speaker 4: and you know, you're Robert Riegue is the maker of
- 57:19Speaker 4: you know, El Mariacci and Desperado, and you've got Quentin Tarantino.
- 57:22Speaker 4: Rodriguez is doing the one that's real more of a
- 57:24Speaker 4: crowd pleaser, like a bit of a video Nasty Tarantino
- 57:27Speaker 4: is making one that actually feels like a grondhouse movie
- 57:29Speaker 4: from the seventies in that they had the budget to
- 57:31Speaker 4: maybe have one good car chase, but then we've still
- 57:35Speaker 4: got fifty minutes to phil and no, we'll just have
- 57:36Speaker 4: people talking, and that's basically what it is. Yeah, I
- 57:39Speaker 4: think they not turned a lot of people off, but
- 57:41Speaker 4: they're like, not a lot of grind in this greenhouse.
- 57:45Speaker 4: Where's the grinding? Where's the house? Having said that, great
- 57:50Speaker 4: performance by the aforementioned Kurt Russell.
- 57:53Speaker 3: I do remember one of the girls putting Jeep store
- 57:55Speaker 3: onto the jukebox in the film, and I was like.
- 57:56Speaker 4: Oh yeah, my lady, Oh my damn.
- 58:00Speaker 3: But so he's out of the business, and Flanners takes
- 58:02Speaker 3: the who takes the one last job because does want
- 58:04Speaker 3: any of these people to get Homer. He wants to
- 58:07Speaker 3: catching himself so he doesn't get hurt. Homer gets home,
- 58:10Speaker 3: it's dark inside and Flanners is in there. That is
- 58:12Speaker 3: a bit of a boss moment here.
- 58:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, hello, hello, anybody home?
- 58:20Speaker 2: You jump bail Homer?
- 58:22Speaker 4: I got to bring you in.
- 58:23Speaker 1: What have you done in my family?
- 58:25Speaker 4: I figured a good.
- 58:25Speaker 2: Time to pick you up was when they were at
- 58:27Speaker 2: Lesa's recital and who did you know I wouldn't be there,
- 58:30Speaker 2: lucky guess.
- 58:32Speaker 3: Then we get a chase sequence. He's chasing after Homer.
- 58:34Speaker 3: I really liked the planetarium. The planetarium bit though, Oh yeah,
- 58:38Speaker 3: well it's like you think, oh, they've got made it
- 58:40Speaker 3: so yeah, okay, actually it actually works because they've made
- 58:42Speaker 3: it so absurd that you could actually believe that they're
- 58:44Speaker 3: going to be in space.
- 58:46Speaker 4: Actually that was good because right, that's a good point.
- 58:49Speaker 4: It's so ridiculous. And then oh, okay, that's just either
- 58:51Speaker 4: on the planets in the top of it, because they
- 58:53Speaker 4: had the music plane as well.
- 58:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it actually works. Yeah, I just really like the
- 58:56Speaker 3: planetarium scene.
- 58:57Speaker 4: They end up at a construction site, which he said
- 58:59Speaker 4: was Sinerrow, Yeah, for Daniel Craig James Bond movie.
- 59:03Speaker 3: And they have a bit of an argument here. You
- 59:05Speaker 3: hang on to resentment like a Confederate widow, and Homer says,
- 59:07Speaker 3: you know what, I actually did start to like you.
- 59:09Speaker 3: We've had our odds over the years, but I'm hanging
- 59:11Speaker 3: out with you. I actually enjoyed spending time with you.
- 59:13Speaker 3: Flannder's and slips and then Homer has one of those
- 59:16Speaker 3: visions where he remembers everything he's done for him. So
- 59:19Speaker 3: we had him saying with the bullet Bart coming through
- 59:22Speaker 3: and Flanner's ripping it up, saying, I'm not going to
- 59:24Speaker 3: worry about Bart, and then Batman parody. You can never
- 59:28Speaker 3: failed with the Batman sixties Batman parody, right, Oh my goodness,
- 59:31Speaker 3: no no, and then he grabs his arm, but unfortunately
- 59:33Speaker 3: he's also let go, so they're both falling into the
- 59:34Speaker 3: land in the concrete and this is where he recites
- 59:37Speaker 3: the Old Testament to Homa, which is apparently from a
- 59:39Speaker 3: movie recite in the Old Testament.
- 59:41Speaker 4: Really, I don't remember that.
- 59:42Speaker 3: I'll go to the Wikipedia page, which I should have done,
- 59:46Speaker 3: reverencing a scene in Waiting for GOODO, Good GOODO Waiting
- 59:50Speaker 3: for GOODO. Apparently there's a scene in there where he's
- 59:51Speaker 3: reciting the Bible or something. Anyway, been a.
- 59:54Speaker 4: While since I've read or seen Way of Good to Go.
- 59:58Speaker 4: Having said that, we talk to have this, but this
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: struck me as a really good idea. Keanu Reeves and
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: Alex Winter aka Bill and Ted were going to be
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: in a Broadway staging and Waiting for Good I think yeah,
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: which struck me as like, that's pretty cool. Yeah, they've
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: gone beyond well, hopefully they've gone beyond Bill and Ted
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: because you didn't like Bill and Ted face the music,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: did you.
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: It's just one of those films where.
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: There was no there was no gas in the tank.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: No, it just felt like, ah, you just made this
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: just because you could.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: Yeah. Also, Ke needs his beard now, oh my goodness,
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: just like I do. Yeah, like, once you've seen John
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: Wick Reeves, you can't go back. Apparently apparently the makers
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: of John Wick were kind of like, oh you got
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: a beard. No, no, people come to see counter Reeves
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: kind of the beard and Gary is it, dude, I'm
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: doing the beard and yeah now was like, oh, yeah
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: needs a beard. Yeah, i'min that. Amazing though that people like, no,
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: we can't have the beard. Of course he does John
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: Week people idiots? Was it WBT?
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: But as the police or I've taken Homer away, he
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: gets arrested, Homer's in prison reading Marges later and yeah,
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: just a very sweet ending.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Especially because that you're in the love of my life,
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: which is very nice.
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: It was indeed, just as I said, when they sit
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: the landing like this, and it feels not earned. It
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: just felt natural natural. Yeah, right, yep, it did. Indeed,
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: they were also giving Marge.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: The story here.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: I've just sort of thought about the story of the
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: cakes gives her a distraction from having to be Homer.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: I don't want you're doing bout your hunting anymore is
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: dangerous because fallen back to that, you know, it wasn't.
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: There the other thing where I think Forrester's character, like
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: Jim says something about I've also got a call from
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: her work and you don't work there anymore.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, that was like a gym, the bad one.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: That was like a gym.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: Yeah you say like gym.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: I did say like a gym. I apologize quite all right,
- 1:01:54Speaker 4: what do we learn?
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: What did you learn from the episode?
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: That I've got to be very careful if I'm meaning
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: kind only in public?
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Yeah, make sure that I depends if you're eating, So
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: that's true. Yeah, are you balls first or and first?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: I think the holding the balls would be a good
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: something to grasp onto to be sure that it doesn't drop.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Well, if I was eating like a sexy can only,
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: I mean your average can only is basically just shaft. Yeah,
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: so you need who's the great Italian dessert that goes
- 1:02:23Speaker 4: down a tree.
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: That's that's a that's the sound bite there. It's basically
- 1:02:28Speaker 3: just shaft.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: Feel free to turn that into a TikTok.
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: Yes, well, I learned that you shouldn't start a series
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: about badtownt anymore because it'll be councels before it even
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: gets the time. Yeah begins bout hunters even things. Anyway,
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: do you ask me a question like, do bounty hunters exist?
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: I'm guessing they do.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Like I know of deck collectors, but bounty hunters, Yeah,
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: I'm guessing they must. That's a great job title what
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: we are. I've been a previously a minute bounty hunter.
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: Should try it for a month, seving resume previous job
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: about or.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Even just I don't know how much work goes into
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: actually being a PI, being a private investigator. I think
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: you could probably just sign up or just you can
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: do it fairly easily and just to be able to say, oh,
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: I also do a bit of a private detective work
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: on the side. It seems like people just look at
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: you like, yeah, there's something a bad guy. There's stuff
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: a bad guy. I didn't know.
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: Be careful what to say, man, he's he's a lot
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: less dull than I thought he was. It seems like
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: a job though, PI very lonely, but probably fulfilling. If
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: you catch the bag. If some guy comes to you
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: and says, off, some woman, my partners cheating on me.
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Can you find out for me and you find and
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: you catch them, and you're like, I've be this person's
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: life and find that person off who deserves it.
- 1:03:42Speaker 4: I've ended his marriage. Yes, forward, your name will be
