- 2:06A lot stuff of other stuff I want to get into this morning as well,
- 2:08but I want to welcome in now from American Prosperity. Good friend,
- 2:12Crestent Gallagher. Good morning, Sara, Welcome to the show. Morning,
- 2:15Dave. Hope your bracket's doing well. You know this, I guess I'm
- 2:20not. I'm not the sports fan I pretend to be, because I actually
- 2:23didn't do a bracket this year, really I did not. But from the
- 2:27from what I from the gnashing of teeth that started with the Kentucky loss together
- 2:30night, a lot of my friends are are in a bad way right now
- 2:36with their brackets. Yeah. I'm actually doing pretty okay despite everything. But
- 2:38yeah, but I guess if everybody loses, somebody's got to win. Everyone
- 2:43does lose, right, Yeah, I mean, well that's the whole that's
- 2:45the whole nature of the entire thing. And the WV women are still alive,
- 2:50of course in the and Theirs they play tonight and they'll get they got
- 2:53Caitlin Clark tonight, so and I mean people forget there's actually four other members
- 2:58on the team too. In addition, all of the folks on the bench,
- 3:00but everybody talks about it's Kitlin Clark. Oh yeah, by the way,
- 3:04I was playing too, but it's Kaitlin Clark because that's kind of what
- 3:06it is, right yep. Well go mountaineers. Yeah, absolutely, all
- 3:09right. So we've got a couple of things I want to get into with
- 3:12you this morning. One of those is some polling information that you've got out
- 3:15out courting to your recent poll in the race for governor. You have it
- 3:20as follows Attorney General Patrick Morrissey in just over forty percent, former Delegate more
- 3:24Capito in second, just over nine percent, followed by in this order,
- 3:29Secretary of State mc warner, auto dealer Chris Miller. But I do think
- 3:34it's worth noting that undecided John Undecided, I think is his name. Undecided
- 3:40is at over thirty five percent, and he had a certain group that just
- 3:45didn't want to answer. So again, Patrick Morrissey first, undecided, a
- 3:49second, more Capital third, Macwarner fourth, refusing to answer, fifth,
- 3:53and Chris Miller in sixth. Am I reading this right, yeah, And
- 3:57Dave, let me explain for your listening audience. Americans were prosper is the
- 4:00premier grass roots organization in this country. So our mission is pretty simple.
- 4:03We want to expand freedom and opportunity for all Americans and we do that in
- 4:08two ways. First is connecting your averages into your lawmakers in bolden those lawmakers
- 4:13to pass transformational policies that make our communities a better place to live, work,
- 4:16and raise a family. The second thing we do is get involved in
- 4:19elections to elect true policy champions. And both those things take door knocks,
- 4:25and so the poll results released it's not really a poll. It's really our
- 4:29door results that we've been doing for since October one. So last year we
- 4:33endorsed Attorney General Patrick Morrisey and that race for governor. Since October one,
- 4:38we've tried to contact two hundred thousand West Virginians, which is the largest grassroots
- 4:43effort ever seeing in the state of West Virginia. We talked to nearly thirty
- 4:46five thousand of those people face to face, and what we released were those
- 4:50results where it shows about forty percent of folks have supported Patrick Morrissey and the
- 4:55upcoming race for governor. Okay, okay, thanks for thanks for clarifying that.
- 4:59So it's not so much poll as much as was door knocky, but
- 5:00you still got the results from that. Yeah, And we say it's not
- 5:05a poll because it's not a traditional poll. A poll is where they call
- 5:08you or text you and you have the ability to refuse or not and not
- 5:12participate in that poll. Well we're doing. Why you see such a high
- 5:15undecided and refuse raised because we're at people are polite, right, if you
- 5:19go up there their door, they're going to talk to you, They're going
- 5:21to allow you five minutes of their time. But what we have released is
- 5:25our door results, which is still a lot of merit. I mean,
- 5:28no one's going to be able to talk to two hundred thousand West Virginians in
- 5:30the state. No one's collected data from thirty five thousand West Virginians, So
- 5:34we thought it was still worth mentioning. And frankly, our results are pretty
- 5:39close to a lot of polls I've seen that have been released and not have
- 5:42not been released that show Patrick Morsey's the guy to beat. I'm going to
- 5:46actually spend a little bit of time talking about that a little bit later on
- 5:48because Hoppy Nick Stour and talk Line is going to have Mark Curtis from w
- 5:53w K TV thirteen on their recent polling that they did with Emerson College,
- 5:57which showed that Patrick Morrissey was in the lead. Most of the polls do
- 6:00show that the Attorney General is at least right now as far and away in
- 6:05first place. So why do you think, though, when you kind of
- 6:09touch on a little bit, why are so many people undecided? If you
- 6:11talk about you know, maybe they just don't want to be rude when you
- 6:14go to the door whatever, But there's a lot of people outs there that
- 6:16haven't made their mind up. Yeah, and Dave, you know, it's
- 6:19kind of funny our door knockers when they're out talking to people that their first
- 6:25question they ask, and this is our baseline is first, are you go
- 6:28voting the upcoming Republican primary? And of course most people are going say yes.
- 6:30And then we say who are you go support for governor? And we
- 6:33don't list any of the candidates because we want a baseline of what their first
- 6:38reaction is. And a lot of people will tell us, well, I'm
- 6:40voting for the Republican and that's that's great, that's cute, But this is
- 6:44a Republican primary. They're actually all Republicans, And I think that's because folks
- 6:47are not paying attention. We're only about fifty days out from the election now,
- 6:50so this is about the time they start paying attention to what's going on.
- 6:54And frankly, with the Republican majorities, they're just not used to Republican
- 6:58primaries deciding who's going to win these elections. So in the past, these
- 7:01people were right, yes, you support the Republican, that's going to be
- 7:05the Republican that wins in the general. But right now it's a Republican primary.
- 7:09So I think a lot of folks are just not tuned in. And
- 7:12when it comes to Attorney General Patrick Morrissey, that's just a name. They
- 7:15know. It's a name they've seen. He's fought back against the Biden administration
- 7:18time and time again, so people are familiar with those with him versus the
- 7:21other candidates. So what was it about Patrick Morrissey? And you've been on
- 7:27the show talking about it in the past, had you and Jason Huffman on
- 7:30the show. But what was it about Patrick Morrisey that appealed to your group?
- 7:33You know, he has a proven track record, he's fought back and
- 7:38defended Hope scholarship, education savings, accounts. He's fought to defend our right
- 7:42to cut taxes, which led that income tax that we championed a few years
- 7:46ago. He's fought back against the Obama and the Biden administration time and time
- 7:49again. He's won at US and West Virginia Supreme Court. He just has
- 7:54a proven track record of winning. And frankly, the other guys in the
- 7:57race, they just they're just a little more green when it comes to that
- 8:01ability to get things done. If the if Patrick Morrissey does not win the
- 8:07Republican primary, will will you then get behind whoever the Republican nominee is.
- 8:11Of course, we want to transform government in the state, and right now
- 8:16Republicans are the ones that are winning elections across the board. That's why these
- 8:18Republican primaries are important because whoever wins them are probably going to win in November
- 8:24as well. Really, we want to focus on transforming government in the state.
- 8:28We've gotten a lot of big wins. We've gotten tax cuts, hope,
- 8:31scholarship, we've controlled budgets, but really to really help enact good policies
- 8:37in the state, we need to transform bureaucrats. We need to transform these
- 8:41agencies that you know, just are unwilling to change. And I always talk
- 8:46about the fourth fourth branch of government, which is your bureaucrat. State.
- 8:50It's easy to pass laws, it's easy to say I want to do X,
- 8:54Y and Z, but if lawmakers aren't closely paying attention to these bureaucrats,
- 8:58they just they just don't change, you know, Time and time again
- 9:01at the Department of Vague, I heard, well, this is how we
- 9:03always did things. Well, maybe maybe we should figure out a better way
- 9:07to do things. And that's how we really change government help people West Virginia.
- 9:11So regardless of who it is, we have a lot of ideas and
- 9:15we'll be releasing our plan for that next governor. Talking again with Christian Gallagher
- 9:18for Americans for Prosperity to Dave Allen showing five eighty line Bright to part by
- 9:22our Bridge Valley. Let me tell you about a special event coming up today
- 9:24on the Bridge Valley campus. The Bridge Valley Book Club is having a bake
- 9:28sale starting at one o'clock homemade brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and more.
- 9:31All proceeds benefit the Canal Charleston Humane Association. Starts at one o'clock in the
- 9:35b two thousand and four yer for more information to visit the social media pages
- 9:39of Bridge Valley. When can we expect some more endorsements from you, folks?
- 9:43Well, so we've released it's seven endorsements besides Patrick Morrissey and AFP Action
- 9:48endorsed Riightley more in the US congressional race. Actually, this week we've already
- 9:52sent out a million pieces of mail. I know people are probably annoyed with
- 9:56us by now because we've sent out so much mail. But this week will
- 10:00start sending out mail in some of these state legislative races like Craig Blair,
- 10:03Patricia Rucker, Ryan Weld, Heather Tolly, Marx Ateslo and two local candidates
- 10:07Trisan Levin and Mark Carter. So we're all of our tactics are about be
- 10:11in the field, but I don't think we'll do any more endorsements. It's
- 10:16just door knocking, mail, digital and over the top TV for us.
- 10:18And do you just sit down and talk to these people? I mean you've
- 10:22got to with somebody like Patrick Morrison, you can see on paper, you
- 10:24know what he's done. But when it's these other candidates that you may not
- 10:30know as much about, maybe they've never been in office. Before. How
- 10:33does that process work? Yeah, we have a vetting process. So we
- 10:35have a candidate survey and we we issue that to anyone to ask. We
- 10:39look at the race, our biggest question and a lot of endorsements, folks
- 10:43they just endorse because that's what their their organization. Does we get in to
- 10:48win it, So we look at our impact. Can we make a difference,
- 10:50can we elect the true policy champion. So our vetting process is a
- 10:54candidate survey, analysis of the race and seeing if we can really elect someone
- 10:58that's gonna be great for this to West Virginia. So this time around we
- 11:01elected or endorsed seven other candidates in these other races. So what else is
- 11:09going on in the world of American for prosperity? I know the countdown is
- 11:11on to the election. Dis wrapped up the legislative session. Any comments on
- 11:16the session? You know, this was the first session that or actually the
- 11:18second session under Republican majorities where it's a lame duck governor session. So Governor
- 11:24Justice, he's out running for US Senate. We've already accomplished a lot of
- 11:26things. We got big tax cut last year, we got hope scholarship previously,
- 11:31right, to work tort reform, things like that that were really important
- 11:33priorities for us. So we took a backseat to this session. We thought,
- 11:37look, if we're going to elect a governor here in May, let's
- 11:41work with that next governor really have some bold transformational policy. So really the
- 11:46next thing for us is electing that governor and then figuring out and releasing what
- 11:50our pathway to prosperity is going to be. So I would look for that
- 11:54come this summer. All right, where can people learn more about your organization?
- 11:58Chris? Yeah, anyone can learn our or more about organization Americans for
- 12:01four Prosperity dot org. You can look us up on social media, you
- 12:05can come to our office. We have forty field staff around the state right
- 12:07now. They're out talking to people every day. So knocking on doors apparently
- 12:11knocking on doors. I think last week we knocked ten thousand doors with twenty
- 12:16nine people. So every every single day we're knocking doors, including Sundays.
- 12:20All right, great to have you on the show as always, my man.

- 16:21the next Star poll, which I'm going to get into briefly a little bit
- 16:23later on because Hoppy's really going to get into that coming up next hour on
- 16:27talk Line. What to Welcome to the show now. Canawa County School Superintendent
- 16:32Tom Williams, which Williams, Good morning, Welcome to the show, Thank
- 16:34you, good morning to you, Happy Easter. And is this spring breaking
- 16:38Canawa County. I don't have kids, so I wouldn't know. Is this
- 16:41okay? I know, and I thought it was in Putnam County where I
- 16:45live, but the amount of buses on the road told me that's not the
- 16:48case. Yeah, I think I think you're right about that, Superintendent.
- 16:52There's been a lot of talk about the budget for Canawha County Schools positions possibly
- 16:56being cut and one reports it up to fifty two. Your comment on that,
- 17:00well, we have cuts every year. You know. We lost five
- 17:03hundred and thirty seven kids from last year. To this year, and so
- 17:08that means we have to cut staff members. We're funded based on the number
- 17:14of kids we have, and when we lose staff, then we have to
- 17:18or when we lose students, then we have to cut staff. You know,
- 17:22over the last ten years, we've lost approximately five thousand students, So
- 17:26over the last several years, we've been making cuts every year in staff.
- 17:30Let's talk about that loss of five thousand student Now, of course some of
- 17:34those are due to people moving away, but many parents, for one reason
- 17:38or another superintendent are simply choosing other options, whether it's a charter school or
- 17:45a private school or whatever. Any comments on that. Well, you know,
- 17:48the charter schools really didn't come into existence until a couple of years ago,
- 17:52so we have taken a hit to the charter schools. Next year,
- 17:59for example, we will be receiving about eight hundred and forty seven thousand dollars
- 18:04less because of students who do go to the charter schools. But I think
- 18:10a lot of it has to do with folks just moving away from the area.
- 18:12Plus we're an older state and we have less kids in the state now
- 18:19to county especially. Yeah, talking again with Superintendent Tom Williams, and I
- 18:23want to be clear by so that this is not only an issue in Kanawah
- 18:26County. We focused on that because that's where we are and it is the
- 18:29largest county in the state. But a lot of public school systems throughout the
- 18:33state are losing enrollment for one reason or another. We mentioned charter schools,
- 18:36or an older me and an older state or whatever. So how do we
- 18:38fix that? How do you sell the public school system to people? Well,
- 18:42I think one thing we need to do is bring jobs into the county
- 18:47and into the state, and if we're able to do that, then the
- 18:51kids will come with them. So but you know, we have a good
- 18:55school system. We need to promote ourselves and folks know that they can get
- 19:00a good, free public education here in Kanall County schools. But Dave Allen
- 19:04chill in five Eaty Life is brought to part by General Hardware of Winfield and
- 19:07Milton and General Number of Winfield to get a bigger small project planned this spring
- 19:11shop locally. I'm General Hardware. General Number visited online General Hardware dot com
- 19:18and you've said that the numbers could possibly have been a lot worse if weren't
- 19:22for the fact that there are some schools that'll be closing in Kanawk County.
- 19:26Unfortunately, that's correct. Last year our board voted to close consolidate three of
- 19:32our elementary schools, and we would have had seventy some positions to be cut
- 19:37if that hadn't happened. We got a text here somebody asking supertendent about the
- 19:41status of Chandler Academy. Do you have any comments on that. No,
- 19:45Chandler will be open next year. We staff them according to the number of
- 19:48students they have, like we do the excuse me, like we do the
- 19:52rest of our schools. But Chandler will be open next year. Okay,
- 19:56let's talk about some positives for Kanawk County. Kind of referenced it there about
- 20:00some good things going on to school. Get specific on some of these good
- 20:03things that are going on in Kanan County schools. Well, we have our
- 20:07robotics program, which is second to nine. We've got two teams, one
- 20:11from Cedar Grove one from Holts that are going to the World Competition in Texas
- 20:15this summer. Cedar Grove traditionally sends kids to the World Competition. They've got
- 20:22a powerhouse program up there. We have a fine arts and music program in
- 20:27our county that our kids thrive in. We've got an outstanding virtual program that
- 20:34enables our students to either take additional classes virtually or be completely virtual. It's
- 20:41a K twelve program. So those are a few of the things that we
- 20:47have in place right now. And going back to the budget for a moment,
- 20:51Superintendent, there's going to be a public meeting held about the budget during
- 20:55the month of May. Is that right? Yes, you know, it's
- 20:56all statutory everything that it's all outlined in what we have to do. And
- 21:03actually our public budget meeting will be May thirteenth, Okay, I'm not sure
- 21:08the time yet, probably either five or six o'clock. It'll be here at
- 21:11the Board office on Elizabeth Street. But that's something that is you have to
- 21:18have so many meetings and it has to be advertised in the paper, you
- 21:21know, et cetera, etc. That's all prescribed by code to us on
- 21:26what we have to do. And again, that meeting is going to be
- 21:27May thirteenth, and we'll be giving you more information on that as we get
- 21:32a little bit closer. Well, Superintendent Williams, I know you're a busy
- 21:33guy. I appreciate you taking time out of your schedule to be here today.

- 22:59Prosperity is going door to door and sending mailers to enlighten West Virginia's about their
- 23:03lame choice for Governor Morrissey, do they have a do not knock or mail
- 23:07list for folks who don't want to hear that rhetoric? Well, I don't
- 23:11know. I mean, you know, the uh, I'll say this,
- 23:12The do not call list don't seem to work. That were instituted about ten
- 23:17years or so ago. Based on the number of Roebull calls that I still
- 23:19get, so I don't. I don't know. I don't know. Maybe
- 23:26something in your neighborhood that just says stay away. I don't know. Let
- 23:30me see, says in reference to Chris Miller's gun ad where is it your

- 23:52Everyone needs to take note of what the federal government announced on Saturday as
- 23:57Saturday question when no one's paying attention to combat gun deaths. Many states have
- 24:03enacted extreme risk Protection orders or red flag laws, which allow law enforcement,
- 24:08medical professionals, and family members to petition a court to temporarily seize an individual's
- 24:14firearms and or to prohibit them from purchasing additional guns if they pose a threat
- 24:18to themselves or others, to infringe in American's Second Amendment rights to bear arms
- 24:23on Saturday and this is the same text on Saturday. The one point two

- 27:25an older population here. And something that I've talked about a little bit on

- 32:50who could take Chris Miller seriously with those stupid car commercials? That says
- 32:53the text are Well, let me just say this, A part of the
- 33:00heel in my opinion of Chris Miller is the fact that he is viewed as
- 33:06an outsider. Now again, he's Carol Miller's son and his family's been involved
- 33:09with politics for many, many years. But that's part of the appeal.
- 33:13And I will say this about the as the Texas said, stupid car commercials.
- 33:19Sometimes stupid commercials work, and I'm not saying necessarily that they're stupid,
- 33:22but they are. It's an effective ad campaign that mister Miller, mister Thompson
- 33:27had been doing for a number of years and people people know about it,
- 33:30and that ten years or so ago, there was a certain reality TV star
- 33:39that no one took seriously. They said, there's no way that this guy
- 33:45is ever going to ascend to the highest office in the land. And he
- 33:50did so. And I'm going to spend some time talking about mister Trump coming
- 33:53up just a bit, so, so just keep that in my just got
- 33:57some information here v email. I was checking out my email during the break

- 34:23is set to visit the facility there in Ravenswood and according to the information,
- 34:30he will also announce a and celebrate a major investment from the US Department of

- 35:21as I said, coming up next hour, Hoppy is going to get into
- 35:24this in great detail with her good friend Mark Curtis. WOWK Television and Emerson
- 35:30College have a new poll and we talked about some polling or at least door
- 35:34knocking with Chrestin Gallagher from Americans for Prosperity earlier. There is this new poll
- 35:40from WOWK Television, The Next Star Family and Emerson College shows that again Attorney
- 35:47General Patrick Morrissey is well in the lead in the race for governor. And
- 35:52also it shows that Governor Jim Justice is way out ahead in the lead for
- 36:00US Senate. In the race for governor, this particular poll has Patrick Morrissey
- 36:07at thirty two point nine percent. Again though that undecided is still pretty big.
- 36:15Just like as we talk with Creston Gallagher, undecided is at twenty eight
- 36:19point nine percent, so undecided, we've named him John Undecided. John Undecided
- 36:24is in second at twenty eight point nine percent. That's followed by Chris Miller,
- 36:31More capitoat and Mac Warner in that order. And in the race for
- 36:37Senate governor, Justice has a commanding lead over Congressman Alex Mooney Justice at fifty
- 36:45four percent, while the congressman is at sixteen point seven percent and John Undecided
- 36:52is at twenty two percent. So again Hoppy Mark Curtis is gonna break all
- 36:57that down next hour. Coming up on on Talk Lime tex says we know
- 37:02for a fact that teachers are leaving Kanawha County and moving to Putnam County.
- 37:06Putnam is becoming overrun with liberal, godless teachers that aren't from the Putnam County
- 37:12area. They despise Kanawa County so they apply for jobs in wonderful Putnam County,
- 37:16says a Texter. They should leave the liberalism behind, though, says
- 37:22a Texter Texas Dave tryed of hearing people say that the WVU women's team are
- 37:28gonna get stomped by Caitlin Clark and our Iowa Hawkeyes. No one thought Oakland
- 37:32would knock out Kentucky or even gave Appalachian State a snowballs chance of shocking Michigan,
- 37:38especially in ann Arbor. The lesson never underestimate anyone. Good luck Tonight,
- 37:44Mountaineers, says a Texter Dave Allen, showing five Ady lie Bright to
- 37:49you apart by Morgan and Morgan in America's largest injury law firm. All right,
- 37:53so I'm gonna talk a little bit about former President DOMD. Trump and
- 38:00a little about current President Joe Biden. Two guys, and we spend a
- 38:07lot of time talking about polling today, two guys that quite simply a lot
- 38:13of Americans don't want to be their choices for president when they go to the
- 38:20polling place in November. And it continues to amaze me the way that many,
- 38:31okay most Republicans continue to treat Donald Trump like the pope or something.
- 38:40I mean, if you listen and you watch the ads for all four major
- 38:47candidates, for governor of West Virginia. Trump, the former president, is
- 38:54at the core of almost all of their campaign messaging. I'm more like Trump.
- 39:01No, no, I am. Trump likes me best. And again,
- 39:08I know, as a Republican I am in a small majority here,
- 39:14but I will say that I speak to Republicans and Democrats, but Republicans a
- 39:20lot of them on a daily basis. And I'm talking about real people now,
- 39:23not politicians, real people. And there are others within the party who
- 39:31simply don't understand our party's worship of former President Trump either. And it's not
- 39:42just in West Virginia. There are a lot of people that don't want Donald
- 39:52Trump to be the nominee for president of the United States. A lot of
- 39:55Republicans don't. They're kind of shouted down within the party, but trust me,
- 40:00they're there. Side note. Did you happen to catch the interview with
- 40:07former National Republican Party Chair Ronald McDaniel on Meet the Press yesterday? Well she
- 40:16is now. Ronal McDaniel is now a paid consultant for NBC News, and
- 40:23in her first appearance yesterday, she somewhat found herself at odds with Kristen Walker,
- 40:32who's the host to Meet the Press Now Chuck Todd left, but Chuck
- 40:37Todd was also on the show yesterday as well, and Ronal McDaniel seemed to
- 40:43have a hard time saying that Trump lost the election. She did say that
- 40:52Joe Biden was the president, but seemed to have a hard time, as
- 40:57a lot of Republicans do, of uttering the words Trump lost, as did
- 41:04Marco Rubio, who was on with Jonathan carl on ABC Televisions this week about
- 41:10two hours earlier. And even I thought was what I found to be interesting,
- 41:17even when they played back the actual comments that Marco Rubio, then a
- 41:23presidential candidate, made in early twenty sixteen about Donald Trump. And this was
- 41:30a point when Trump was just just another candidate, you know, one of
- 41:36several in January. Remember how many we had this year in January. Well
- 41:40we started to lose them. But you know what, but anyway, the
- 41:44comments that Rubio made in early twenty sixteen, he kind of kind of shied
- 41:51away from them. Rubio called Donald Trump at that time a con man and
- 41:58a crook. And I guess, I guess he forgot all the bad things
- 42:05that Donald Trump said about him. It's it's it's just I just I don't
- 42:15get it. I want to continue on this after the break, but I
- 42:19do want to knock out a couple of texture real quick as I'm getting a
- 42:22ton of text. Day one says old school Republicans are saying the party has
- 42:25left them. Yeah, I don't know that. I as a Republican and
- 42:31willing to say that and to go that far. If the Republican Party it
- 42:40may not have left, but they started the car I'll put it that way.
- 42:45And there are textures I agree. I agree with that. But Dave
- 42:50Island showing five any line bright to you part by your hometown baseball team,

- 46:44a person's true character is revealed when they lose, especially when the stakes are
- 46:47high. Donald Trump's true character was revealed after the twenty twenty election. He
- 46:52did a lot of good in his first term, but he is truly not
- 46:55worthy to be the president again, and neither is Biden. As a text,
- 47:00Texas said, I went from being a Democrat because That's what I was
- 47:02taught, then went to independent to Republican, says a texture Texas. West
- 47:12Virginia's cult devotion and its Republican politicians cult devotion to Trump makes me embarrassed to
- 47:17pay taxes in West Virginia, says a Texter Texas. As Trump is the
- 47:22best adjudicated sex abuser, says every twenty twenty four Republican candidate in West Virginia.
- 47:30So one person who won't be endorsing the former president is his vice president,
- 47:37Mike Pence. Now, Brad mclaheney wrote about this as an end depth
- 47:39story posted at wv metronews dot com. Now why in Brad write that story?
- 47:44Well, because it has quotes from Senator Shelley Moore Capito in the story.
- 47:50This is a quote from Senator Capito in the story, I support the
- 47:52policies of President Trump, and I support him in quote. Now, I
- 47:58mean, I guess you can support the policies and not support the guy.
- 48:05There's a lot of people that would be in that boat to think, yeah,
- 48:07you know, President Trump did a good job as president on many policies,
- 48:12but is it worth everything that goes with it? As I'm sitting here
- 48:15now in the studio with one of the news channels on here, and I'm
- 48:19watching the former president about ready to show up in court. And there was
- 48:24a time, if you go back, you know that the thought of a
- 48:30president being in court was something that was a totally foreign concept. And now
- 48:39he practically lives at the courthouse. So anyway, so Pence has said he
- 48:47will not be he cannot support his former boss. But he's not the only
- 48:54one. William Barr, James Mattis, Mark sper Millie, Rex Tillerson,
- 49:05Nicky Hayley, McMaster, John Bolton, John Kelly mcmulvaney, just just to
- 49:09name a few. It seems for some reason that the folks who were the
- 49:15closest to Donald Trump want nothing to do with him. It's the ones that
- 49:22were there, that were in the proverbial foxhol are the ones that say they
- 49:25want absolutely nothing to do with Donald Trump and that they cannot endorse him going
- 49:30forward. So most recently, in a speech, I think this was last
- 49:35weekend, former President said he wants to place a one hundred percent tariff on
- 49:42imported vehicles. So I wonder how Chris Miller feels about that. Of course,
- 49:46most most of our vehicles, even ones that have a foreign nameplate on
- 49:50him or are produced you know, primarily in America these days. But may
- 49:53have to ask Chris Miller about that when I have him on the show again.
- 50:00Trump's continuing disparaging remarks about veterans who he has seemingly no respect for,
- 50:07you know, for making fun of John McCain for being captured, or questioning
- 50:13back with NICKI Haley was in the race where her husband was why he wasn't
- 50:15on the campaign trail, knowing full well he was deployed. I mean,
- 50:22where are you Mac Warner on this? Mister Warner decorated veteran with some twenty
- 50:25odd years of service. I mean Trump being exactly beaten the you know,
- 50:32beating the drum for the veterans out there. I'll say that so we knock
- 50:39out some text here, Texas day. The folks making the laws in West
- 50:44Virginia are the same folks that aren't having enough children. Folks having the largest
- 50:49majority of the children here aren't going to raise them in these hyper conservative ways,
- 50:53meaning question mark. There may be Republican rule now, but the math
- 50:58doesn't work for them very soon. Tex says Dave, just a little reminder
- 51:04of a comment made by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is he said back in
- 51:07twenty seventeen during an appearance on Rachel Matto regarding Trump, let me tell you
- 51:10you take on the intelligence community. They have six ways from Sunday at getting
- 51:15back at you get that last part, and many wonder why we believe Trump
- 51:20is being targeted, says a texture. Text says, what specific policy did
- 51:28Trump create that was good? Just name one? Well, I think America
- 51:34And I don't know if this is a policy or not, but I think
- 51:36America was probably viewed a lot more favorable when Trump was in the White House
- 51:42and feared, which we're not now at all. Text says, will you
- 51:47stop spilling your anti Trump rhetoric? Stop saying that most people don't want Trump
- 51:52or Biden as president, because most people do want Trump. You must be
- 51:57hearing from Charleston area liberals. Trump is the best man for the job,
- 52:01bar none. Well, a great number of people have said in polling that
- 52:06they don't want either Biden or Trump to be there. And don't make me,
- 52:08don't make it sound like that I'm just picking on Trump here. I
- 52:12mean these same people that want to look at Biden as a you know,
- 52:20a pathetic old man. Now Trump's not far from that. I think they
- 52:24both suck, to be honest with you, and I say that respectfully because
- 52:28of the President of the United States. All Right, my thanks to our
- 52:30guest on the show today, Chrescent Gallagher and Superintendent Tom Williams Hollywood. Jeff
- 52:34Petty was my producer. Thank you so much. Coming up on the show
- 52:37tomorrow, Rich the realtor client will be stopping by Congressman and Senatorial Canada Alex
- 52:40Mooney and some folks from the Charleston Dirty Birds. I'll be coming up a
- 52:44talk line. I will see you tomorrow. Till then, have fun and
- 52:46love. Somebody finding the w c h s A F nine six point five
