- 0:03Speaker 2: For all, court is where it begins.
- 0:07Speaker 1: No TV show. This is the real world and this
- 0:13Speaker 1: is what's happening at the courthouse.
- 0:15Speaker 2: On KFM Mornings with Ramis.
- 0:19Speaker 3: Yeah, we got a second one off twenty twenty six.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Who's in trouble for what.
- 0:24Speaker 2: At the court of the Central Business District?
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yes, oh this is the serious court this one. Yeah,
- 0:32Speaker 3: let's find out. Remis is out there patrolling the steps
- 0:35Speaker 3: asking everybody one simple question.
- 0:37Speaker 2: What are you doing at the court house today?
- 0:39Speaker 1: For my sister in law. Okay, she was caught with
- 0:43Speaker 1: stealing something to eat.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Okay, why would she be stealing something to eat? What's
- 0:48Speaker 4: the situation?
- 0:50Speaker 1: Because of a situation of falling in love at a
- 0:54Speaker 1: young age, maybe with someone that she thought could be
- 0:57Speaker 1: a partner.
- 0:58Speaker 2: Yeah, who is this guy?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Oh it's our guy Frim from school from but I'm
- 1:03Speaker 1: from high school. Just friends and she recently got to
- 1:07Speaker 1: know him. He used to come to the door, just
- 1:10Speaker 1: knocked there once or twice to do something to eat,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and then it became a continuation.
- 1:16Speaker 5: He lives on the road, okay, so comfortable that she
- 1:21Speaker 5: used to start washing his clothes because the conversation the
- 1:24Speaker 5: company became so more comfortable that people everyday thing now
- 1:28Speaker 5: sneaking into the no.
- 1:31Speaker 1: And then now this happened where she went to shop
- 1:34Speaker 1: rite with him. They were angry, but she could have
- 1:37Speaker 1: come home like she normally does, to come fit. Whatever
- 1:40Speaker 1: doesn't work, she doesn't work, he doesn't work. He is
- 1:43Speaker 1: apparently on.
- 1:45Speaker 4: So obviously he influenced her to steal what.
- 1:50Speaker 1: She was caught with, three rolls on her like amber girls.
- 1:54Speaker 2: What she's been released? Why is he not being released?
- 1:59Speaker 1: Was this old? Cases and years or one?
- 2:01Speaker 2: And the word is hetic. I just hope she.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Learns from this. I hope she opens her eyes because
- 2:09Speaker 1: she has a whole life a ver. I just can't believe.
- 2:12Speaker 2: My question is, then, why do you think she did
- 2:15Speaker 2: this with this man?
- 2:16Speaker 1: She's in love with him, she loves him.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Did she tell you that?
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, she told me that.
- 2:21Speaker 2: But if he.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Loved her, he wouldn't let allow her to go with
- 2:24Speaker 1: her into the shop to go still with him. He
- 2:27Speaker 1: respected her so much, of valider. You were a little
- 2:29Speaker 1: wait outside and you do the thing. We called himself
- 2:32Speaker 1: a man or a partner or a lover or whatsoever.
- 2:35Speaker 5: We can't blame him.
- 2:36Speaker 2: Only true she.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Could have made the decision, but not helping him.
- 2:40Speaker 2: And what did she do? She did what she did?
- 2:43Speaker 2: Did she? She obviously got bailed. Oh, they just threw
- 2:46Speaker 2: the case out.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Okay, I need to wait for outside. We're just waiting
- 2:50Speaker 1: for a win the releasa, ma'am.
- 2:52Speaker 4: I hope that she understands that she's actually gotten off
- 2:56Speaker 4: scott free. Thank you very much for your time.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Man, thank you. What do you do at the court
- 3:00Speaker 2: house today?
- 3:01Speaker 6: My daughter has been accused of breaking an entering and
- 3:06Speaker 6: she was found in a suspected stolen car.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Is all of this true?
- 3:12Speaker 6: Not sure?
- 3:13Speaker 2: I'm not sure. Innocent, proven guilty. I understand that. Why
- 3:17Speaker 2: are you not sure?
- 3:19Speaker 6: I'll start at the beginning. I lost my daughter to drugs.
- 3:22Speaker 6: She was out of the house. She's living on the streets.
- 3:26Speaker 6: So what she's doing I know nothing of. According to her,
- 3:31Speaker 6: she was in the car taking a lift from a
- 3:34Speaker 6: friend and they were caught in this car. And when
- 3:37Speaker 6: they searched the car, they found stolen goods in the car.
- 3:41Speaker 2: This person that was driving the car, did he not
- 3:44Speaker 2: say he or she not.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Say your daughter is not involved?
- 3:48Speaker 6: Nobody nobody's saying anything. Why I don't know? Look, the
- 3:53Speaker 6: case has been handled so quickly. It's like, look, they've
- 3:56Speaker 6: been incarcerated now for almost a year.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Oh they in jail.
- 3:59Speaker 6: Yeah, because I refuse to pay bail. This is not
- 4:03Speaker 6: the first case. The second case. Sorry, sorry, yes, you're right,
- 4:08Speaker 6: bail was denied.
- 4:10Speaker 2: The first case that she had. You you deny to
- 4:13Speaker 2: pay bail.
- 4:14Speaker 6: No, No, that one she's out on bail for. She's
- 4:16Speaker 6: still both courses are.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Two secret cases.
- 4:20Speaker 6: But they tried to to run it on the same day.
- 4:23Speaker 6: You know, each court date. The one case is out
- 4:26Speaker 6: on bail with the second case is incarcerated. The first time,
- 4:29Speaker 6: when she was out on bail, I said to her,
- 4:31Speaker 6: if anything like this comes up again, I'm not gonna
- 4:33Speaker 6: I'm not gonna bail. No, she's got a legal lawyer.
- 4:37Speaker 6: So the first legal lawyer appeared with the first appearance.
- 4:41Speaker 6: Then with a second appearance, it was a different legally lawyer. Okay,
- 4:45Speaker 6: this is a third appearance, so we've got a third
- 4:47Speaker 6: legally lawyer. So this is now a totally different person.
- 4:49Speaker 6: So each one is telling you a different story. The
- 4:52Speaker 6: third one, I told us that they have video footage.
- 4:54Speaker 6: They see her in the court, they see her in
- 4:56Speaker 6: the area, they are presuming that she is guilty. I
- 5:00Speaker 6: don't know what the video footage is, so will hear
- 5:02Speaker 6: about it on the third of fib.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And she's just there. They've been there since March last year.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Who's there. There's four of them, that's her and friends
- 5:14Speaker 2: of her.
- 5:15Speaker 6: So it's my daughter a boyfriend. This man's son is
- 5:18Speaker 6: my daughter's boyfriend.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Okay, So it's a whole family affair basically.
- 5:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 5:25Speaker 6: So when you look at it, with the life that
- 5:28Speaker 6: she's living now, with the life that they're living now,
- 5:30Speaker 6: I wouldn't put it past him, you know, So I would.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Like for it to be innocent.
- 5:36Speaker 6: But according to the lawyer when he said about the
- 5:38Speaker 6: video footage, it doesn't look like it the place that
- 5:41Speaker 6: was burglar They see them there, and then they see
- 5:45Speaker 6: them all getting into the car, and they see them
- 5:48Speaker 6: all driving.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Off, and they stole the car as well.
- 5:51Speaker 6: They were caught in a stolen car.
- 5:53Speaker 2: So I don't know who stole the car. It must
- 5:54Speaker 2: have been one of them, But nobody's talking, I see,
- 5:58Speaker 2: you know.
- 5:58Speaker 6: So what this guy is telling us now, the legal
- 6:00Speaker 6: lawyers that are now is what he has now seen
- 6:03Speaker 6: in the file. Okay, So now this is going to
- 6:05Speaker 6: be his first consultation with him.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Now I see, are you coming back on the third
- 6:10Speaker 2: of fair.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Definitely, it's my daughter innocent and proven guilty. I don't
- 6:17Speaker 6: know if she's guilty.
- 6:18Speaker 2: True. Thank you very much for your time, sir. I
- 6:20Speaker 2: appreciate that you've shared your story with us.
- 6:23Speaker 4: I hope that she comes out and definitely then learns
- 6:26Speaker 4: a third lesson from this, I hope so.
- 6:29Speaker 3: So there's a definite theme yes, in the courthouse today
- 6:33Speaker 3: and the kids. I hope you heard that because you
- 6:38Speaker 3: could probably work out for yourself that there is not
- 6:41Speaker 3: one happy drug story. It's all sadness, crime and broken.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Homes and heart breaks for that for that father hey
- 6:52Speaker 1: saying I lost my kid, I lost my daughter to drugs.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:57Speaker 5: And even in the first story with the sister, you
- 6:59Speaker 5: know you can hear the exhaustion.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it takes a toll on the family members as well.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Absolutely, kids, just don't do it. Just don't do it.
- 7:12Speaker 3: You can hear people tell you not to do it.
- 7:14Speaker 3: This is the real world of seeing where it ends up,
- 7:18Speaker 3: and it's never good.
