- 0:00Speaker 1: Two different things. Sure, you can stick your head in
- 0:03Speaker 1: my car and I'll be right behind you. It's one
- 0:07Speaker 1: more thing. I'm now.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Are those interrelated, no, Katie, because they sound like it's
- 0:17Speaker 2: some sort of you're mounting an untoward act.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that sounded like it got a little weird.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Oh okay, okay, these are two different stories. So stick
- 0:26Speaker 1: your head in my car. I'll be right behind you.
- 0:28Speaker 2: Come on, persh Giggy.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'll start with this. I wish I'd have done this
- 0:36Speaker 1: on the radio show because I might need an answer.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm kind of surprised I did this. I got caught
- 0:42Speaker 1: off guard or in a weird moment or something like that.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So I'm coming out of a I don't even remember
- 0:47Speaker 1: what I was doing, walking out of the strip mall.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I'd gone into a little store or something, and I'm
- 0:51Speaker 1: walking out and this guy who was coming out of
- 0:53Speaker 1: a bagel shop or something, he had a little sack.
- 0:57Speaker 1: He walked by me. He said, hey, cool, I've not
- 1:00Speaker 1: seen one of those. I was just getting out of
- 1:02Speaker 1: my cyberbeast and he said, do you mind if I
- 1:05Speaker 1: poke my head? And I've just never seen the inside.
- 1:08Speaker 1: And I had like a slight hesitation of you know,
- 1:12Speaker 1: I was just judging him quickly in my brain, are
- 1:16Speaker 1: you okay or not.
- 1:19Speaker 2: He was.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Because I would have said no if he was transient obviously,
- 1:26Speaker 1: or or you know, anywhere in the bumish area or
- 1:30Speaker 1: scary looking. But he was not. Clearly. It wasn't like
- 1:33Speaker 1: he was a businessman. Well to do about to go
- 1:38Speaker 1: get in a nice car. I mean, he was was
- 1:40Speaker 1: a little little closer to the hesitation than I probably
- 1:44Speaker 1: should agree to.
- 1:45Speaker 3: But I said, judge, not everybody can wear a suit
- 1:48Speaker 3: and drive a cyber truck.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, guy probably has like a job and stuff.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Just disgusting. This was this, This is all on demeanor,
- 1:59Speaker 1: so care not not as like not as not as
- 2:02Speaker 1: not as uh stuff. This guy's a brain surgeon. He's
- 2:07Speaker 1: just off that day. But anyway, you're getting a vibe.
- 2:10Speaker 1: I was, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, but just a little
- 2:13Speaker 1: bit of one. Okay. Anyway, so I said, okay, sure,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I stepped to the side, and he leans into
- 2:23Speaker 1: my truck a little bit, and I thought he'd just
- 2:25Speaker 1: take a quick look around and that'd be it. He
- 2:28Speaker 1: leans way into my truck like way in there and
- 2:31Speaker 1: way low, which was weird. I was like, uh, so
- 2:35Speaker 1: kind of cool, isn't it. And then and then he
- 2:37Speaker 1: kind of stands back up and says, yeah, really really awesome. Yeah,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I'd like to have one some day or something like that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I close the door and I just thought that that
- 2:44Speaker 1: is weird, and I get my truck and I I
- 2:48Speaker 1: drive off anyway, the rest of the day, I noticed,
- 2:51Speaker 1: like right away first time, when I closed the door,
- 2:53Speaker 1: the door makes a weird sound when I close it,
- 2:57Speaker 1: like a weird clanking sound that it never made before.
- 3:02Speaker 1: And so I don't know if this is in my mind,
- 3:05Speaker 1: or if it's Tesla's legendary low quality, or or if
- 3:10Speaker 1: he was a Tesla hater, like there's a lot of
- 3:13Speaker 1: him out there and he knows some sort of like
- 3:17Speaker 1: thing you can undo or put in or something. Because
- 3:21Speaker 1: it was weird the way he leaned in my truck,
- 3:23Speaker 1: like a little too long and a little too low.
- 3:25Speaker 1: It was just weird, that is. And my door makes
- 3:28Speaker 1: a weird sound now when I close it.
- 3:31Speaker 2: If the question before us is am I a paranoid
- 3:36Speaker 2: nut hatching nut charming? I would say no, no, that
- 3:40Speaker 2: that's odd.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Yeah, well, if you didn't have the backstory on Tesla's
- 3:43Speaker 1: then I would be pretty paranoid. But the fact that
- 3:45Speaker 1: people are you know, uh, what do you call it?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Vandalizing them all across the country. Yeah, I mean he
- 3:56Speaker 1: just had a weird demeanor. There was something off with him.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I shouldn't have said yes anyhow. So if you if
- 4:03Speaker 1: you're scoping.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Out somebody's vehicles, you're not gonna get down low. Now,
- 4:06Speaker 2: you're gonna be up hie, so you can get a
- 4:08Speaker 2: good scan.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Well, maybe maybe he was wondering about some ass. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: don't know.
- 4:13Speaker 2: I wanted to check out the floor mats.
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't know. I think he did something to my door.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Hmmm. Heinked him down, look for him start patrolling that
- 4:25Speaker 2: strip mall.
- 4:26Speaker 3: According to the Google, it's possible to damage the cyber
- 4:30Speaker 3: truck doors, including potentially under the pedal area.
- 4:36Speaker 1: If you don't I did google are on the doors?
- 4:40Speaker 2: Which would your knees bend?
- 4:42Speaker 1: Different area? That's funny. I googled this and I didn't
- 4:47Speaker 1: come up with anything, and you did right away. It's okay,
- 4:49Speaker 1: so huh, I'll have to look into that. That would
- 4:52Speaker 1: suck freaking weirdos. What else? What do you got there, Katie?
- 4:57Speaker 1: What's what's the story?
- 4:59Speaker 2: Uh?
- 4:59Speaker 3: Well, some AI overview things. But it's it says if
- 5:04Speaker 3: you slam the doors closed, it can cause damage also
- 5:07Speaker 3: to the inside of the truck. I'd have to read
- 5:11Speaker 3: this more, but there's some connection between some element under
- 5:16Speaker 3: the down by the pedal area that connects.
- 5:18Speaker 1: To this is exactly where his head was. Weirdly, you're
- 5:24Speaker 1: just really into pedals, dude, what's your story? Hey, you
- 5:27Speaker 1: got nice petals, nice break pedal.
- 5:30Speaker 2: So this guy goes around acting all sketchy and vandalizing
- 5:35Speaker 2: teslas from the inside out. It's his insidious and inexplicable
- 5:41Speaker 2: plot instead of.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Just keying them or something that night. Odd well, it'd
- 5:47Speaker 1: be the equivalent of like being an online troll. Right,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you did something that gives you pleasure, just annoyed someone else? Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 5:57Speaker 1: All right, So that's that. If you know anything about that,
- 6:00Speaker 1: uh email or whatever. So the other thing about the
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'll be right behind you. Joe needs to retell them.
- 6:08Speaker 1: A brief version of the man versus Monkey story. The
- 6:12Speaker 1: it's an ape jack.
- 6:14Speaker 2: The Internet is a blaze with the question of whether
- 6:16Speaker 2: one hundred unarmed men could defeat a single gorilla in
- 6:21Speaker 2: a fight. We're talking about adult silver back Lowland gorilla
- 6:25Speaker 2: sixt eight hundred pounds, the mightiest of the jungle beasts.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Katie, what this is just such a perfect painting of
- 6:33Speaker 3: how this is how guys work. Some guy was sitting
- 6:37Speaker 3: there and went, you know what, I wonder and he
- 6:39Speaker 3: spent all this time to put this together.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Just such a dude thing.
- 6:42Speaker 2: They were either drinking and smoking pot, and maybe it
- 6:45Speaker 2: was even at the zoo, but one of the guys
- 6:47Speaker 2: pointed out that, you know, you wouldn't stand a chance
- 6:50Speaker 2: that gorilla would kill you in two seconds, and his
- 6:53Speaker 2: buddy said, what if you had like ten guys, and
- 6:57Speaker 2: they agreed. No, it was still no, Oh, what about
- 7:01Speaker 2: like a hundred guys?
- 7:02Speaker 1: And people are getting close. We're talking a fair fight.
- 7:07Speaker 1: And so the conclusion was more or less that if
- 7:09Speaker 1: you had a strategy with one hundred people, you could
- 7:12Speaker 1: overwhelm it eventually, but the earlier guys it's going to
- 7:16Speaker 1: be pretty rough for.
- 7:17Speaker 2: And yeah, you would have to stick with the plan,
- 7:21Speaker 2: and everybody have to do their job.
- 7:22Speaker 1: You stick with the plan. That's my whole You'll be
- 7:24Speaker 1: right behind use. The carnage would be awful, right you
- 7:27Speaker 1: go first, I'll be right behind you. I will fulfill
- 7:30Speaker 1: my end of the plan. Once you have worn it
- 7:32Speaker 1: out with your being bludgeoned, I will be right behind you.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I mean, I just I don't think this would work
- 7:39Speaker 1: unless you are fighting for your lives, because you know,
- 7:43Speaker 1: we've seen in war people are willing to sacrifice their
- 7:45Speaker 1: lives for this sort of plan in wartime. But you'd
- 7:49Speaker 1: have to be that. If it's just I wonder if
- 7:51Speaker 1: we can beat this gorilla, you're gonna say, no, I'm
- 7:54Speaker 1: out that the first person that it like rips its
- 7:57Speaker 1: head off, yeah, and urinates down. It's you know, I think.
- 8:02Speaker 2: That's more a saying than something that the ape would
- 8:04Speaker 2: actually do. But no, if you see if you see
- 8:08Speaker 2: the gorilla chomp on a guy's arm and just tear
- 8:11Speaker 2: it straight off, yeah, you'd be thinking, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 2: was super curious about this, But I'm good.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I mean, we'll just keep wondering. Yeah, exactly. This will
- 8:22Speaker 1: make a great story for later.
- 8:24Speaker 2: So I'm glad I got the Great Gorilla Fight T
- 8:28Speaker 2: shirt before it started.
- 8:31Speaker 3: So if you go to Armstrong and Getty dot com
- 8:33Speaker 3: on Katie's corner, I put the thread that has this
- 8:36Speaker 3: in it on there. And one of the AI videos
- 8:38Speaker 3: is this gorilla with one hundred different men running at it,
- 8:42Speaker 3: and it just obliterates every single one of them.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the beauty of this thing.
- 8:47Speaker 2: It was launched by a guy who's like into AI creations,
- 8:50Speaker 2: including videos and uh, and it's sprinkled with AI videos
- 8:55Speaker 2: of here is a lowland gorilla pumping off you'ren in
- 9:00Speaker 2: a gym. It's utterly convincing in the way that we
- 9:04Speaker 2: used to call them deep fakes and now we just
- 9:05Speaker 2: call them AI videos. It's utterly convincing and hilarious. All right,
- 9:10Speaker 2: where's the guys are charging at him?
- 9:12Speaker 1: Videos?
- 9:13Speaker 3: You have to you have to scroll down, but I
- 9:15Speaker 3: think it's right below the last Was it.
- 9:18Speaker 1: A shirtless guys? Mm hmm uh.
- 9:22Speaker 3: It's on a gray background. It looks like a simulation.
- 9:25Speaker 1: But I don't doubt that a hundred committed dudes could
- 9:29Speaker 1: eventually overwhelm the gorilla if you were like committed. But
- 9:34Speaker 1: if you weren't, he is gonna just lay waste to
- 9:38Speaker 1: the first dozen or so and everybody else is going
- 9:41Speaker 1: to run away. Think why am I doing this again
- 9:44Speaker 1: to answer some online trivia question?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, oh, look at the beleaguered gorilla fighting those fellas.
- 9:57Speaker 1: That's not how I would go at all. K.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I just I just sent you the act, the one
- 10:03Speaker 3: that I was talking about. They're like robots. Actually, now
- 10:05Speaker 3: that I'm looking at it, I need I need better glasses.
- 10:08Speaker 1: But it just wow, yes you do, it's just going gorilla. No,
- 10:14Speaker 1: the robots. You must be at the zoo. I'm great.
- 10:18Speaker 1: Oh I see it's a robot, always entertained the giraffe.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Oh, this is this is the uh, the early edition
- 10:26Speaker 2: of the A video before it's got them fleshed out
- 10:28Speaker 2: with the uh. It's like the early editions one of
- 10:32Speaker 2: your Star Wars movies that occasionally you'll see online.
- 10:35Speaker 1: And it would just rip you to shreds. It would
- 10:37Speaker 1: be a gruesome, gruesome death too well.
- 10:40Speaker 2: And I think you know what honestly, especially judging by
- 10:43Speaker 2: this video, which I consider scientifically valid, it's mostly bludgeonings.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah. I've seen those videos where the gorilla is pound
- 10:55Speaker 1: on each other like that.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, and there they're giant arms. Yeah. They they willed
- 11:01Speaker 2: them like clubs and they just place you would every
- 11:04Speaker 2: bone it contacted would be broken.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Just think about the lady who got her face rep
- 11:08Speaker 3: by that chimp.
- 11:09Speaker 1: She got a haircut?
- 11:11Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, did forgot to you know, say, hey, by
- 11:14Speaker 2: the way, I've gotten a new hairdoo.
- 11:19Speaker 1: What do you think about haircut? Yeah, you gotta, you
- 11:21Speaker 1: gotta open with that.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, a chimp is a fraction the size of one
- 11:25Speaker 2: of these gorillas too. But the interesting thing about chimps, Katie,
- 11:29Speaker 2: this is really taking such a terrible turn, and I'm
- 11:33Speaker 2: regretting it even as I'm speaking these words. I was
- 11:36Speaker 2: reading a it was Oh the context was that documentary
- 11:42Speaker 2: that came out a while back, a couple of years
- 11:44Speaker 2: ago about chimp moms.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Oh you remember that? Is this the one that was
- 11:49Speaker 1: breastfeeding them?
- 11:51Speaker 2: Well I wasn't gonna go there, but yeah, that's right.
- 11:53Speaker 2: That was an aspect of it, which is just I mean, how.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Effing crazy are you.
- 11:57Speaker 2: But the thing about chimps, the way it works, Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 2: that's the operative.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yes, body party.
- 12:06Speaker 2: The thing about chimps and apes in general is they
- 12:09Speaker 2: go for your eyes and your genitals. They are through
- 12:14Speaker 2: evolutionary uh you know, means equipped with the instinctive knowledge
- 12:19Speaker 2: of here's how I end this fast and so ike,
- 12:25Speaker 2: keep your guard up and down. If you find yourself
- 12:28Speaker 2: in a fight with a chimp.
- 12:30Speaker 1: Off come the generals. The what off goes jels through
- 12:38Speaker 1: most of the word. You know what I mean.
- 12:40Speaker 2: You know, it's kind of a mixed blessing in a way.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Think about it, kidding, I just said testicles.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Oh well, I guess that's it.
