Day 23. Exodus 16-18
The Israelites travel into the wilderness and begin to complain about food. God provides manna each morning and quail in the evening, and water is brought from a rock at Horeb. Amalek attacks Israel, and Joshua leads the fight while Moses raises his staff until the battle is won. Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, visits the camp and advises Moses to appoint leaders to help judge the people, easing his burden.
