- 0:00SPEAKER_02: In this episode, I don't know what the fuck we're gonna talk about.
- 0:03SPEAKER_02: Um we haven't done any planning, so here it is in episode six.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, this is this is episode six of Let's Stick Together.
- 0:24SPEAKER_02: Uh we've got a very sun-kissed uh Brendan Creed.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: We've got uh pensive Hub de Mol.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: And uh I'm just praning that we've done no work for this episode.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I don't know how it's gonna go.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: It's either gonna be a really nice one.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: What did you call me?
- 0:40SPEAKER_02: Pensive.
- 0:41SPEAKER_02: What's pensive?
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Thoughtful.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I'm always thoughtful.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: That's an absolute lie.
- 0:49SPEAKER_02: Brendan, did you consider the last two days of actual sun to put any sun cream on?
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: I unfortunately Tuesday took me by surprise.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Belting Tuesday, by the way, but I am definitely on the side of cooked rather than raw.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: Um, let's say that much.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: You look like one of them, I don't know, the the the really cheap red sausages that you get from uh Richmond's.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I feel like?
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: You ever um you know drumsticks, uh squashies?
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: That's what I feel like.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Like just head is just one colour and body is just pasty white, and that's where I feel I'm at.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, what yeah.
- 1:31SPEAKER_01: It's been a do you know what?
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: I I want to say that it's been it's been hardness, that and the other playing in the sun, but there is really nothing like it, is there?
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Like just sun, just makes everything better.
- 1:42SPEAKER_00: You do you do look very English now.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, thanks, mate.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, ha ha ha ha, yeah.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I don't want to do stereotypes, but you look like very English, except for the men, but I feel like I've had a week in Benedome and I look absolutely cooked for it.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, that's exactly you know, for me, I'm gonna surprise the listeners a bit.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: For for someone with my hair color, I I don't burn uh too quickly, so that might be a suggestion to everyone that I'm not actually a ginger, hence why I didn't win the ginger of the year category.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: You are I am blonde.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: I think now you're trying too hard with it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I I don't listen, I don't, I don't, I don't wear sunscreen a lot, and I don't really burn that often.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: You in who in your team, when you like go away to a hot country, is the first person to get burnt?
- 2:40SPEAKER_01: Who's like that?
- 2:41SPEAKER_01: Who's like that one person that always gets burnt every trip?
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Chef Houdemark.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Is it every time?
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: Chap Hudemakers and Sevi vanas, I think.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, if you are gonna ask people, they're for sure gonna mention me because they think it's funny to call me a ginger, but I'm not the one who gets burnt the the quickest.
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: I think it's uh Chep Houdemakers.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, Sevi Vanas is is pastier than paste, isn't he?
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: He's he's white than white.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yes, he yeah, yeah, he's he's but Chep as well.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: Like he his hair doesn't even distinguish from his from his skin colour.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: For those that don't know, Chep has got the whitest of hair.
- 3:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it doesn't look natural, does it?
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: But onto on to more hockey stuff.
- 3:28SPEAKER_02: We actually went to um a lot of teams are going to Paris at the moment to you know do some test matches or try the pitch out.
- 3:35SPEAKER_02: We went to Basingstoke yesterday as uh GB hockey.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Uh you won't know where that is.
- 3:40SPEAKER_02: I don't think many people know where that is, but we went to a lovely hockey club where they have just the um Paris uh like pitch has just been laid at Basingstoke.
- 3:50SPEAKER_02: So we used it as a day to uh to train to try out a pitch.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: Um we were treated, you know, we had an amazing hospitality from the club.
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: I took the uh the coffee van down, the Land Rover Defender, served up some coffees for the boys.
- 4:05SPEAKER_02: The sun was out, we had a great day.
- 4:07SPEAKER_02: Brendan, how did you enjoy yourself?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: I feel you've said everything there, mate, to be honest.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, genuinely just an amazing day.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: It's a real shame that Basin Stoke aren't in the Prem because it's actually a really nice setup over there.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Um but yeah, just a great day.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: They were amazing, the guys hosting us.
- 4:23SPEAKER_01: Um hitch is really nice, which is a pretty big plus point.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, just all in all, a really good Tuesday.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: And I came away whilst cooked, I came away very, very happy.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, it was nice.
- 4:37SPEAKER_01: Good change of scenery for us as well.
- 4:40SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: And uh coffee is one out of ten.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: Give me, give me a give us a rating.
- 4:44SPEAKER_02: The social bean, another shameless plug.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: Check them out.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: We're we're we're here, there, and everywhere for your specialty coffee.
- 4:51SPEAKER_01: I'd I'd give it an eight or a nine.
- 4:53SPEAKER_01: Pushy.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: The only thing I wanted was just a little bit more art, but other than that, fantastic.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: The art was still very good, and the coffee tasted great.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: So and service was very good.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: I think I got called a knob ed once, so that's pretty good service, if you ask me.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: What's your what's what's your guys' USB?
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like there's an awful lot of English players affiliated with the with the social bean, and I don't really know who.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: What's your guys' USB?
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Like what distinguishes you from all the other coffee places?
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: It's a great question, you first of all, we have a 22-year-old Land Rover defender that I had to drive for two hours yesterday, and uh it takes a takes a full-blown warm-up to get the clutch and to get the gear stick going.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: Um it adds adds a hell of a lot of value.
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: We've got a lovely uh rocket machine in the uh in one of the compartments.
- 5:43SPEAKER_02: Uh uh, we serve beautiful cakes from stick or whisk, some brownies from stick or whisk.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: Um, and generally we we provide good service to good people.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: If you're a knobed, we call you a knobed, but you know that that is the type of a deal we give you.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: What is stick whisk?
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: Stick whisk stick what stick or whisk is uh Giselle Ansley's baking company who's David Ames of the Half.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: Um she provides us with top quality brownies on a weekly basis that we sell.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Seriously.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: So where where can where can they find you, Phil?
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: No, enough of the plugging.
- 6:24SPEAKER_02: Check us out on Instagram, we'll give you all the information.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Um, on to some news.
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: I think there's news both in the English leagues and the Dutch leagues.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: I'll get on to the Dutch one first, you, because you can give us a lowdown of Hugh playing this week, and also maybe you can talk about Perman Black, who's just uh departed from OR for next year.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: So that's a good bit of like gossip/slash news.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he decided to fuck off.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, it's been uh been a been a been a been a weird couple weeks.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: No, um where can I start?
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: Well, Pinocchio didn't make the playoffs.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: Um EHL champion.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: I kind of predicted it here on the pot that I think they were gonna um fall out the boat, uh, which eventually happened.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: I think they got a little too comfortable, a little too satisfied with everything that went their way, and now they missed the boat.
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Uh, that's me uh filling it in.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: I have no clue what actually happened, but they just weren't in the form they had at the EHL, which they deservedly won.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: Uh, so it's now Blumenau will end up first.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Uh it's it's we will face Kampong in the playoffs.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: Uh, we still have to play, which is really weird.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: We played Kampong this Saturday, um, but that's not the playoffs yet.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: We the final game of our season is against Kampong, and then the week after we played Kampong twice, so we played Kampong three times in eight days, uh, which is which is pretty pretty fucking weird if you ask me.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: Um, so we also don't really know what we're going to do yet.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: Like, are we going to do something completely different?
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: So they have no clue what they're going to face in playoffs, or are we going to do the exact same thing we've always been doing?
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: So uh you have to to to go and watch to find out.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: Um, um Rotterdam is the final team in, so it will be Rotterdam Lumenel and Azikas Campong.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, the news came out that we've we've known for quite a while.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: Uh Piram in uh Black is leaving.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, it was a whole story, it was like a whole uh how do you call it?
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Um let's call it a shit show.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, in which Pi Min uh wanted to continue for two more years.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: The club also kind of wanted to continue with Pimen.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: No, not kind of, they wanted to continue, but they also wanted our second goalie, Nikki Verbake, to play more.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Piram wanted to play all the games.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: Nikki, uh the club wanted also Nikki to play, hence the difference in opinions.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: This is a very long story, very short.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: Piram decided to fuck off.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: We decided as a club we needed at least a kind of replacement, which we've got in Toby Walter, uh German goalie from Braxcata.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, and then all honesty, uh Pyman, uh Pimen uh has been with the club for eight years.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Uh, I I think deservedly so.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I've said it more than once on the pot is the best goalie in the world.
- 9:15SPEAKER_00: Uh uh last year.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: Uh, I'm very I tried very, very hard for him uh together with the club uh to make it work, but there was a difference in uh how do you say it?
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: A difference in vision or in ambition.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, Payman is 36 now and still wanted uh to continue for two more years as the first goalie and try and win everything we could with Ure Road.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And the club saw it differently, in which they thought uh they would uh they didn't want to lose our second goalie.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: Uh this that's uh that's like the yeah, it's it's a bold, bold strategy from the club because I I do I understand everything that they I can understand it from their viewpoint, but also when you have a goalie who's in um I guess good form is the current reigning goalie of the year.
- 10:01SPEAKER_02: It's uh seems I I understand maybe planning for the future, but yeah, it does seem a slightly strange one from the outside.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: But at the same time, like Nikki is a very good upcoming up-and-coming keeper.
- 10:13SPEAKER_02: If you want to keep him, the keeper world is fucking strange.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: We talked about that a lot, haven't we?
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's just the the the shitty thing is is there's only one position in the field.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: Uh so that that that makes it tough, and I completely understand uh Piermin, who is still in uh in great form.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: He played again very good uh last weekend when he played Blumendau.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: Um played a very good game, so I I get uh that he didn't want to uh start, yeah, and Dutch would say um off bower, building, building down.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Um he didn't want to like start to not uh play as much and start to like slowly um descend, uh which I completely understand uh from his point of view.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: I just hoped that he would who he would be willing to do to do so so he could stay at my club for longer, but he decided otherwise.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Uh again, I don't think the club and Piermin went um went out of each other in uh with uh with bad uh REC.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: It was very I think uh Piermin.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think Pi Min still loves OR and OR still loves Piermin.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: I I know for sure uh uh Orange Road still loves Piermin.
- 11:20SPEAKER_00: No clue if Piermin still loves OR, but we we love him.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: Uh so uh we can finish let's feel that the the thing we now said with us that we want to finish it off with a championship, which is uh which is possible, so that's the goal.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, nice.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: I I do think that there's a certain level of like you could be the right person to be told, you know, we want you to bring the up-and-coming keeper up, and you we want you to look after them and share some games and stuff like that.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: And I think some uh top athletes uh have the personality to be able to do that.
- 11:50SPEAKER_02: I can say categorically that if you'd asked me about that, if Perman got asked that, he would have said absolutely not, because he is a very like straight to the point driven person who wants to be between the sticks saving the ball every time.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: So he has a very fiery uh personality, and he's very uh uh he doesn't uh in Dutch we say uh hold a leaf in front of his mouth, he just whatever he he thinks he says, and there's not not a big filter there.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: Uh he's he's been on the podcast, so we all know that, don't we?
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and he's like he's he's he's bad shit crazy, even for a goalie.
- 12:26SPEAKER_00: So uh no, I think it's uh I think it's uh I think it's the the if if the ambition from our club is the ambition it is, which is like help Nikki, our second goalie, to become the first goalie and uh uh be a really good goalie in the future.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: I think I don't think uh uh then then then what happened I think is good.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: Okay, nice.
- 12:45SPEAKER_02: Well, let's draw a line under that one.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: And the the news on our side is that the big English club news is that Kwan Brown has um signed to be director of hockey and the men's head coach at Holcombe uh and moving on from Southgate, which he joined two years ago, and they've recently they they made top six this year.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: He's done a great job with them, so but came as a complete surprise and shock to everyone as uh Barry Middleton departs as coach uh of Holcomb.
- 13:16SPEAKER_02: So, Brendan, you got any take on that?
- 13:18SPEAKER_02: I thought Ames was coach of Holcombe.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: He was uh assistant coach.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Ames was assistant coach.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: I thought Ames he was head coach.
- 13:27SPEAKER_02: Barry Barry played, so it always kind of had the impression that Ames was the head coach.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: But yeah, would would say it's a it's a fairly big shock.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: I would say that there's a lot of uh talk about it.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: There's there's there's um Kwana signed I think a multi-year deal with Southgate, and I think they had big plans, they're a club with a lot of ambition.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: So I think they will have left very disappointed that they've lost someone as good as Kwana's head coach, and you know, Holcomb needed someone to replace Barry, and yeah, they they they got a got a hell of a guy to do that.
- 14:01SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I think the the big thing is you say it's a bit of a shock.
- 14:04SPEAKER_01: I don't think anybody saw it come in, um, which is fair play fair play to Holcomb for keeping it so quiet.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Um, it's quite hard in this in the world that we're in to keep transfer news quiet.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: Um so I think like it's a it's a big signing for Holcomb, and I think there's probably going to be multiple signings off the back of it as well, player-wise.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Um, because they got a shitload of money for free now.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: They they they lost a big, big, big contract.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: So they're in David Ebbs, but mostly for Europa.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: There's a shitload of money there.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: I think we've said it before we've said it before though, that post-Olympic transfer market is pretty or like that year the Olympics comes around, like is a bit carnage because people make a lot of decisions, like as you say, like Piermin making a decision based on decisions by clubs, like Toby Valter moving across from Belgium to Holland.
- 14:55SPEAKER_01: Like you look at the carousel, like that, everything's just kicking off on the transfers.
- 14:59SPEAKER_01: So I think it's quite interesting.
- 15:00SPEAKER_01: I think it's quite interesting.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: What's what's really interesting?
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: About you, Brendan.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: I'm staying, I'm technically staying.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: Um, I'm looking at potentially having a few months off.
- 15:13SPEAKER_02: Um what Sheep heard on the characters?
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: What have you heard?
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I've heard I've heard you're you're moving to Germany again.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: No.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: Not that I know of.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: Our our Kiwi player Sean Findlay.
- 15:29SPEAKER_00: Uh, but it's just just come to mind now that I see you.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: You said that you are you are joining Hamburger Polo.
- 15:35SPEAKER_01: Well, I've not had any conversations with polo, so that's the first bit for me.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Well, I'll just I'll do him then.
- 15:43SPEAKER_02: This is the problem with hockey, is that someone starts a rumour and then it just it spreads like wildfire.
- 15:50SPEAKER_02: I was going to ask you, you what do you think?
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: Because uh for context, I think after the Olympic year, normally loads of guys and girls um try their best to go and play in the Hoofklaster in Holland, and it seems this year is a little bit of an a stranger one that apparently lots of Australians are going to Germany, a few Belgians are moving back from Holland.
- 16:12SPEAKER_02: Uh I know that you know I I had a brief conversation with Zach Wallace, him saying that like there just isn't the maybe the the available players that there usually is or seems like you is that a case or do you do you not regret?
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: What do you mean available players that there is?
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: Like normally people are chomping at the bit to you know reach out to Dutch clubs and say I want to come and play.
- 16:37SPEAKER_02: Um, and it seems more more uh quiet this time.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, I I feel like the the the international programs have have have increasingly got busier.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: Uh I feel like uh there even if it's not an Olympic or a World Cup year, um I think the international programs will still want their players to be at the at their national teams um a lot, uh which doesn't help.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Uh I feel like club hockey in Holland, I think it's it's it's the it's the well apart from like the best level, I think it's the busiest one as well, in which the season is like pretty long if you compare it to like the English competition uh or the uh or the German competition.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Uh, I think for a lot of Aussies, I think the German competition is very convenient, or they're finding out it's very convenient, as in that it only takes like two months to finish the season there, twice two months, and the rest they can stay back in Australia.
- 17:34SPEAKER_00: So I think that's what makes it interesting for them.
- 17:36SPEAKER_00: Uh, and I feel like the the the they were all the out, uh all the foreigners uh are also getting increasingly uh more expensive.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: Um besides the fact that that you have to pay for a visa and uh uh housing and flights and whatever.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: Uh they're also asking a shitload of money, most of them.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: Um like like Aussies uh or Argentina players, or like especially outside of the EU, and also English players, to be honest, they're also fucking expensive.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Um, look at you, Phil.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: Um, asking for for shitloads of money.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Uh so I think that's that that's that's like the combination.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: I don't know if there's less uh availability, but also yeah, I feel like there's a lot of like good Dutch players right now, so there's not a lot of like uh I feel like Amsterdam got a couple of foreign players.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: I feel Blumenau is uh I feel I feel like there's still more to come.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: I feel like Blumenau in the next couple weeks will also like say, Oh, you know what?
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: We actually went out and got Wella or something like that.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: You cannot lose both Ati van Door and Cherry Brinkman and then not sign someone major with Michel Van Euvel being their head coach next year.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: I feel like there's still something coming up.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think it's a really good insight, though.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: I think it's uh it it gives us the the the reasons why maybe it seemed a little bit more quiet.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: So nice work.
- 19:03SPEAKER_01: Do you think um do you think anything has to do with the fact that we've gone from a five-year cycle to a three-year cycle?
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: So a lot of athletes have actually held on, and the general international scene is a little bit older.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Do you think that has any part to play with it?
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: That it could be, could be, but I think there's still like it's still there's still like a lot.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: I think the older because of a lot of the Aussies decided to go to uh Germany, and like a lot of Kiwi players were already in Germany at Polo, for instance.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: I think I think that like four or five uh Kiwi players, but now also a lot of Germans are a lot of uh sorry, Australians are deciding to go to Germany.
- 19:38SPEAKER_00: I think yeah, uh I don't know, I've never talked to a German club, but I feel like they pay similar or even more than us Dutch clubs usually do.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: Uh, but the season is is is not as long.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: They they value their indoor hockey a lot, uh they don't value a big pre-season uh as much as other countries do.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, you can go there for like two times two months, get get money and get out.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's that's uh that's uh um for them.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: I don't think it matters for Australians that much if you play in Holland or Germany.
- 20:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, fair enough.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Again, I'm not an Australian, I don't know.
- 20:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:16SPEAKER_02: Brendan, you had you had um a couple of questions for us.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: We're doing doing this week slightly differently.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: You wanted to you wanted to talk about a couple of things.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I kind of like basically thought over the past like few weeks.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I've had like two questions that have kind of been reverberating in my mind.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Um my first one is is there space for loyalty in hockey now?
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: And the reason I like asked the question to you guys is like I know we joked about ropes moving clubs, but ropes has moved clubs quite a bit recently, and you've you've stayed at a club for a long time.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: My question is like with the fact that our like careers at the top of the game aren't necessarily the longest in the world, like is there space for sticking at a club and kind of accepting the fact that you might not get paid as much if because you stick around?
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: I don't know many clubs that in the especially in England that kind of like the contracts increase as you stay.
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: I feel like the contracts just stay the same as as long as you stay at the club, like they don't really change much.
- 21:14SPEAKER_01: Um, so like my kind of question is is is loyalty worth anything in our sport just because I don't think we our careers are long enough that you make enough money like a footballer or like a rugby player in the UK.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: Like, I don't I yeah, it's kind of just an open question to you guys, really.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: Like, what's your thoughts on it?
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't think this question, I think as you said, I don't think this question is uh something Phil can answer.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Um, because he's had seven clubs in the last five years, so yeah, that it's tough for him to like give an opinion about it because he doesn't also you really still feel Phil relax, Phil easy, get off the closet.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Come on, relax.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Everyone already knows you're you're a nice guy, blah blah blah.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Um, I think there's a lot like look at hatchback.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I think uh he stayed at his club.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: I think in Holland, top players don't really move that often.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Um, I think like Cherry is now now like moving, which was kind of a big shock.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Um, I think a lot of players stare at their clubs quite quite long.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Um, and um yeah, uh rewarding wise or like salary-wise, I I think it does change in Holland.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: It's like most clubs have like a build-up in salary.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: I cannot speak for every club, but like in our club, there's like a very clear uh the longer you stay and the more important you get, the more you deserve.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Um, so in our club, it's like pretty clear.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I do think, but that's I think that's everywhere.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Clubs sometimes also get a bit yeah, comfortable or a bit, it's very easy, as you said, to that.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this guy has been here for a while, he's not gonna move, so we don't have to pay him as much.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: But I feel like that's the same in companies or in every work field.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: Sometimes they get a bit complacent with people staying in their place, and I feel like, yeah, uh, but if you look at Hetzberg, I think he he he does not play for uh for like uh for five euros or for five euros a month, and he stayed at the club for I think 20 years or something.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I have no clue, I think he's there for 20 years already because he's 37 or something.
- 23:12SPEAKER_01: That's a crazy story.
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: Is that your aim, you like have you ever had the inkling to want to move or if you always wanted to be an LR player?
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Well, I've I've I would lie if I said I would I've never thought about leaving the club, as in uh it it has crossed my mind.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I've had I've also had my share of difficult moments at the club, as in um I had a moment at which we had a very, very good team, didn't really perform well, and I I also didn't perform too well, so I was also thinking, okay, maybe I need to change the scenery.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: But uh, I think for the last five years, five, four years, uh yeah, I've always said that I'd rather win once, I'd rather win the league once with OR than three times with Blumendal.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: And I still stand by it.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: I feel like the journey of becoming champions is cooler than just going somewhere which in which they're already successful and then becoming champion with them.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: So that yeah, I would I would rather finish my career at OR uh without without ever winning the league, but at least giving it a really, really good shot than now going to let's say Bloominel and um for sure win one in the next three years.
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: That's a good answer.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: It's a good answer.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, he'd he'd sell a soul for a championship.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: I think I think what's nice is I I like I'd like your opinion, Phil, mainly because like you've you have a taste of what it's like in the UK and kind of like the fact that contracts don't really change much.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Um but also like a lot of the times I think UK players a lot of the times are just signed on one-year deals.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: So it also like it's a bit different, I think, for us, whereas like for you guys, like as you say, you like if you sign a two or a three-year deal or Hertzberger signs for like three years, like it's I think it's a very different thing because it gives you security as a player.
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: Whereas actually in the UK, like especially at Serbiton, it's not done that way, it's done year on year, which I think is for me, I don't think it's a healthy thing for an athlete to kind of like constantly be having to talk to a club year on year despite like sticking around for three, four years.
- 25:15SPEAKER_01: I think it's a bit for me, it's a bit odd.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: Sorry, Phil, yeah.
- 25:18SPEAKER_02: I I guess the interesting thing is it was that I was I was at Wimbledon for eight seasons.
- 25:25SPEAKER_02: So under like and and actually the the more my value grew, uh I definitely think that I was um reimbursed better for that.
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: Um and yeah, I think it just it wasn't it Wimbledon was much more casual with you know contracts.
- 25:46SPEAKER_02: I wasn't too worried about having a signing a contract because it didn't really seem like a thing, but it was more much more like you were rewarded for how important you were to the team.
- 25:57SPEAKER_02: Um I know that every club is challenged and doing it differently, and I know that like I like the idea.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: I I'm I'm I haven't ever been a true guy that I would I don't like the idea of going to a champion and winning, but OG's has got a different pull to it for me.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: But I I also I completely understand what you're saying, yeah.
- 26:18SPEAKER_02: I I just think the model in England is so so strange that every club does it in such a different way that you just can't you just can't begin to compare it or kind of challenge loyalty.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's that's the most difficult thing is to compare it with the Dutch competition or even the Belgian competition.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: I feel like um, but if you even if you start comparing the Dutch competition to the Belgian competition, like we are very spoiled.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: I feel um club hockey in Holland is so engrased in the culture.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: I feel like um uh I feel you've you've noticed it.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: If if you play in a club in Holland, it's not just playing for your team, coming to trainings, and that's it, you have to do shit for the club as well.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: As in you have to sometimes give training, you have to go attend uh at least once every two weeks, you have to attend something for the board or for sponsors or for whatever.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: You're it's like a full-time thing.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: And um, when we play uh a game on Sunday, if you uh if you go after halftime, if you go into the locker room and you come back, uh the entire pitch, I'm not exaggerating, there's like hundreds hundreds, not okay, I'm exaggerating, but there's like hundreds of kids on the field playing hockey, and that's the Dutch hockey culture.
- 27:28SPEAKER_00: And I don't feel like you have that anywhere else in the world, in such well, at least not as big as it is in Holland.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: So um like at Orange Road, we have nine hockey pitches.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: I think if every foreign player that comes to play at our club, they're like, What the fuck is this?
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: And we have like six or seven of those clubs in Holland, like with Rotterdam, Campong, Tilburg, you can name them all.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Uh, that's like uh we we have three clubs who are all who have all played hoofklasse at the same time with Hurley, Pinocchio, and Amsterdam within uh within a mile radius of each other.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: Like that's you can't really compare it to like English hockey or even Belgium hockey or German hockey, which which club, the life of um of an athlete at a club is so different than with us.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: But us, it's like it's for for for a lot of players, it's like it's like their kind of their job, at least for all the international players.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Do you think do you think that's what it is then?
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: So like Phil will probably get a similar feel to what he's had in Holland at OGs because his the culture of the club will benefit his family more, if that makes sense.
- 28:32SPEAKER_01: So like his kids come down and watch, for example, like that's more like where you get the side that you probably get in Holland.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: Like, as you say, like if you're constantly down, like Perman, I'm sure, will have had that with his little one, like just coming down to the club and kind of spending time around the club as other half, like that for me, like would create a bigger sense of loyalty from that point of view.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: But as you say, like if you've got if you live nearby or this, that and the other, like the culture of the hockey in general gives you that support to then be a bit more loyal to that sense.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, I don't I don't think it's like it's like uh it it it's it's it's connected to the loyalty part.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: I think that's just um like because I feel um I feel people might move to their hometown quicker if that's what they value.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: I'm just trying to like I'm just trying to uh stress how big hockey it's the second sport in Holland by a by almost a mile after football.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, I feel like that that's more what I mean.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: Like clubs we have like multiple players who who who earn for for who hockey is their living and who they can make a living out of it.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: There's like different levels to it, and I feel like that's what makes the Dutch competition so good.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Is that yeah, um, and what Germany is now also trying, I think it it as it looks like it's trying to to achieve, is that players come there and make a living out of out of hockey.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: So I feel like that's yeah, and loyalty.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't, I don't, I'm I don't know.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: I feel in Holland uh you kind of stick where you are a bit more.
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: I think like if you look at Camp, there's players there who've played there, like their core has played there for six, seven years.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: Blumenau is now now after six, seven years, starting to keep uh they're starting players to leave.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: But like look at all the top clubs, it's all that they're almost all are uh players who who who've played there for like at least six, seven years, uh, with uh with the addition of a couple of foreign players.
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's that's the model bit.
- 30:22SPEAKER_02: And I also think going back to your point, Brennan, is that there is so there's such disparity between uh the bottom club in England, uh in the English Premier League and the top club, yeah that the the loyalty is has to be serious loyalty if you want to compete with that, because this is the thing, you've got guys at the bottom of the English league who have to pay to play, who pay their subs, pay their membership fees, and then you've got the top clubs who of like in Yupes uh words, uh like players are trying to make a like a full-on living from that salary.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: So when you have the Dutch league, which has such maybe way more similar like funding from the top to the bottom, and you have ours, which is like uh miles away from it, it's obviously gonna be way more difficult to be loyal.
- 31:09SPEAKER_02: And I think that it also massively matters on the model of the club.
- 31:12SPEAKER_02: If the club's just happy to be in prem and isn't bothered about it's happy to be an amateur sport, happy to just compete, then they're never ever gonna uh you know, like probably have much loyalty other than the people who want to play for them every week.
- 31:25SPEAKER_02: Whereas if you have a top club who's um completely changed the model, who's going after uh X, Y, and Z, who's who's who's looking after their players the longer they stay, who's following in the Dutch model, they're more likely to have loyalty.
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: Oh, 100%.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:39SPEAKER_01: It was that's what I mean, but it's just an open question.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: It wasn't like a a forced question at anything.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: I just thought it was quite an interesting topic for us because it's two completely different contrasting leagues, probably doing it in such different ways, which you guys have obviously just touched on.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, nice.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: Well, this has been part one.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: We will see you in a sec.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Right, we're back again.
- 32:01SPEAKER_02: A very serious uh let's stick together episode.
- 32:04SPEAKER_02: So I'm here to mix it up.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: Um, I've got I've got a question for you both.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: It's a it's a random idea.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm always I had a random thought yesterday about how you could make hockey uh more interesting, more fun.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: Have any of you either have you seen white men can't jump?
- 32:22SPEAKER_01: Uh yeah, yeah.
- 32:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, this is gonna be a 3v3 idea, isn't it?
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: White men can jump is so good.
- 32:31SPEAKER_01: It's such a good film.
- 32:32SPEAKER_02: If you haven't seen it, it's a great film, it's a basketball film, but it's Woody Harrison is it's phenomenal.
- 32:38SPEAKER_02: But basically, I was thinking, what would you guys say if you were having like summer tournaments of 1v1?
- 32:46SPEAKER_02: And um you either have like you could do a really high-end one, or you could do like the most basic one where you have like a set of goalies who you pay to be there, right?
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: Everyone has an entry fee.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: You then you then anyone can enter.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: It's it's complete.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: Why one are you listening?
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: Because this is right up your street.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: Anyone can enter.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: Um, you say you got£50 entry, right?
- 33:10SPEAKER_02: And then all of that money goes to the to the to the pot and the the winner gets it.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: So you go, you'd have like a round of 64, it's first to you get assigned a random goalie, it's first to um five goals, you have freestyle, it's 1v1, and then you play it out and you get to the round.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: It's like almost like a mini, like like a Wimbledon type of deal where you'd like, or tennis type of deal, where you'd be in like round of 64.
- 33:34SPEAKER_02: Oh, I've made the quarters.
- 33:35SPEAKER_02: Who am I who am I who am I paired up against?
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: And then slowly you could grow it so that you would have some of the best players in the world playing in a 1v1 tournament, and also there's cash on the line, so people want to play, don't they?
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: I feel I feel like it's an amazing idea.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: I just don't really know how the goalies will go into it.
- 33:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that was my problem.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: I would I would I would like go more in like um or you play like um like in the circle uh and or like in the 23, you can get like the right to score if you go outside the circle, go in and then you have one goalie and then pitched that to you and you hated that.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: No, I know, but like that was more Phil.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: Okay, Phil, you're brilliant with your ideas, but like more as in that I'm talking about your 1v1 idea, but then that you get like the goalie, the goalie who gets the least amount of goals against gets a chunk of the money, so he also has an incentive to to goalie well if that makes sense, yeah.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: And then um, but or you could do like just like a uh uh like a panak cage, if that makes sense, like just uh make like a cage of like uh uh eighth of 10 by 10 meters or something, or like five whatever, five by five, whatever, and that you get like your own goal and you have to score, you know what I mean?
- 34:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that would be that would I sorry, I should have explained that bit.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: I was thinking maybe if it was on a full-size pitch and you put like foam, what is it, the like the boards they use for some of the indoor type of deal, and you made like like you say, like 20 by 10 pitches, and then you have a goal.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: It's it was yeah, and then obviously I got onto the point of like we'd have to talk about it about who would be the best um out of the three of us, who would be the best who would turn up and win all the tournaments, who's hustling people, who looks like a chopper, and then actually wins all the tournaments because it's it's a great game.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: I like I basically was thinking I'd love to play in it.
- 35:35SPEAKER_00: I think there's a couple questions we can already answer, right?
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: The best out of us three.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: That's the easy answer, right?
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, me.
- 35:44SPEAKER_02: It's Brent, yeah, it's Brent and come on, it's Brent.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: Phil's not even Phil can't defend, so Phil's already out.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: No, Phil doesn't defend, he doesn't defend.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: He it's not that he can't, he just doesn't do it.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: I'm playing for a 1-0 and I'm kicking the ball at every opportunity.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like you would be insanely annoying to play against Brent, as in like you would be um, can I score when I cross the midline?
- 36:05SPEAKER_00: And then you just whack it once into the goal, and then you start like covering the goal with your whole body and shit.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: I feel like you would be the most annoying to play.
- 36:12SPEAKER_00: Phil would be the one who died who has like very nice dribbles, but he was also not known to score a lot.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Um, so I feel like Phil, you would you would be like uh like rated very highly, and you would be insanely disappointing in this.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 36:28SPEAKER_02: I'll take you back.
- 36:29SPEAKER_02: Wait a second.
- 36:30SPEAKER_02: I don't score a lot.
- 36:31SPEAKER_02: I'll I'll put a cool yeah on this one.
- 36:33SPEAKER_02: What are you talking about?
- 36:35SPEAKER_00: You've played 22 games at orange and red, and you've scored three goals.
- 36:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, it was on you.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: I'm on you side.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: I'm on you side on this.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Four goals.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: I'm on you side.
- 36:44SPEAKER_01: Phil you've had you're gonna get people through the door, but you aren't you aren't gonna win.
- 36:51SPEAKER_01: You can't defend mate.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 36:53SPEAKER_02: I'm still I'm still arguing about you about the goal scoring.
- 36:56SPEAKER_02: It's bollocks.
- 36:57SPEAKER_02: I'll I'll take all the rest of it.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: Phil, Phil, you've scored the occasional goal.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Uh, if you put me in the strike in a striker for 150 cap for GB, I would accidentally also be in the right spot a couple times, but come on, Philip.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: You're not a goal scorer.
- 37:15SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna do I'll do a competition with you.
- 37:17SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna come back next week and offer you who scored more goals, me or someone really good, and then we'll we'll keep doing that.
- 37:24SPEAKER_02: Higher or lower.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: I'd love to have a game higher or lower.
- 37:27SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I'm gonna do it right now.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, Phil, listen, yeah, not right now.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: You are not yep, you also played Ghana in the fucking fucking uh English-French tournament.
- 37:38SPEAKER_02: Mate, go to get to shit.
- 37:40SPEAKER_02: We do not play easy games apart from once every four years against Commonwealth games.
- 37:46SPEAKER_02: Oh, you've you've fully got me on the closet right now.
- 37:48SPEAKER_02: I'm finding a good pill, I'm finding good players anyway.
- 37:51SPEAKER_01: No, Phil, Phil, we're not doing this now.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: Anyway, back to the point.
- 37:54SPEAKER_01: Phil, you're gonna disappoint a lot of fans because you're gonna show them skills, but you're not gonna get through the tournament.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 37:59SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what's gonna happen.
- 38:02SPEAKER_01: Uh Phil, do you know what?
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: Do you know what, Phil?
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: I I really like the idea of it.
- 38:06SPEAKER_01: I genuinely think it'd actually be a lot of fun.
- 38:08SPEAKER_01: I think on the goalkeepers point, I think you've right.
- 38:11SPEAKER_01: I think what you should do is you could get like eight goalkeepers, two goalkeepers with the best um uh least goals conceded, get to the final randomly assigned to either of the players and they take a cut of the winnings.
- 38:23SPEAKER_01: I think is completely fair.
- 38:24SPEAKER_02: Um Billy Billy Backer.
- 38:26SPEAKER_02: No, we're not doing this.
- 38:27SPEAKER_02: He's gold.
- 38:28SPEAKER_02: More or less goals than me.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, of course he has less goals than you now that you now that you bring it up.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 38:35SPEAKER_02: Phil, Phil, Phil, just out of interest, now he's got he's got he's got more goals than me.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: How vain are you, Philip, that you're starting to look this up.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I just said he scored more than me.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: What are you talking about?
- 38:46SPEAKER_00: I know, but you're still very vain that you want to prove to us.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: Okay, you know what, Phil?
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: You can score really good goals.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: You have an incredibly good forehand shot.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: You can slap it really, really hard.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: You're children.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: You are the one who's always on his nose at the second post and will tap in every goal, like like like our Sam Lane's and govers and and wards of this world.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: You're in exactly that that line.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Are you happy now, Philip?
- 39:12SPEAKER_01: This happens every time when these two get on the closet together.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: Can we move on, children, please?
- 39:18SPEAKER_01: That would be great.
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: We'll do it.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: Robert Kemperman.
- 39:22SPEAKER_01: No, okay.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Kemperman has been in the scored more than you've got his entire career, and I think he scored more than you, Phil.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: No?
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: You scored more?
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Hold on, Phil.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: When were the record when did the record start?
- 39:36SPEAKER_01: Just out of interest, Phil?
- 39:38SPEAKER_02: It's just how many caps he scored and how many goals he scored.
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: Where where are you finding the info?
- 39:44SPEAKER_02: Uh, Wikipedia.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: It's very reliable.
- 39:48SPEAKER_01: Phil's just edited the the entry for Robert Kemperman there.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: Changed the numbers.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: Phil, when it when his when his when his when he will hang it up and his jersey will be up in the rafters, people will know him as the guy who's always scoring goals.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: That's that's what you will know for, Philip.
- 40:05SPEAKER_01: Just out of interest, you've rafters is he putting the shirt up in?
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: Because there's a lot of clubs now, mate.
- 40:10SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of things.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: One of 60 clubs he's played for.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: You're not a good goal scorer, Phil, but you can sign contracts as the best of them, eh?
- 40:26SPEAKER_02: Oh, good times.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: No, sorry, Brendan, go back to the 1v1 thing.
- 40:31SPEAKER_01: No, I just said I think it's a really good idea.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: I think I think it'd actually be a lot of fun.
- 40:35SPEAKER_01: Um, I generally think there'd be some surprises in there.
- 40:38SPEAKER_01: There'd be some rogue people that would get through without realizing.
- 40:42SPEAKER_01: Like, for example, like if there was one person that I used to hate doing 1v1s with at GB in England, it was Luke Taylor.
- 40:48SPEAKER_01: Because Luke would get to the baseline every single time and just smoke a backhand on like the smallest angle, and he'd always score it.
- 40:56SPEAKER_01: And you're like, this is horrible to play against because you know if you try and defend it properly, you're getting hurt.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: But I'm gonna go out on the limb here, and I'm gonna say, I think uh a defender will win this shit.
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I agree.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: I feel like the only thing that you're forgetting is the fact that in this game that I've created, you you do have to score a goal, and I've I've I've seen you you've got the irrational confidence that you you're gonna sit here and be like, Oh, I can definitely score.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: I've got load, like I'm unbelievable finisher, uh, top five.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: Um Brendan, we all know you're terrified of the D.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: So anytime you get close to that place, you do a 180 and run back.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 41:35SPEAKER_01: Phil, I'll take your criticism on board.
- 41:36SPEAKER_01: That's fair.
- 41:37SPEAKER_00: However, the problem you think what what has happened here?
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: Do you assume it's starting to besh us because he's so on the closet?
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: Phil, the difference, the difference is is me and you don't have to score as many because we can defend.
- 41:53SPEAKER_01: Whereas, Phil, you have to score so many because you can't defend.
- 41:58SPEAKER_02: I'm actually not even on the closet, I'm just having a great time now.
- 42:00SPEAKER_02: I'm glad we're not talking good shit.
- 42:03SPEAKER_02: Like, I actually would pay for us all to have a 1v1 competition together and and see who wins.
- 42:10SPEAKER_02: Because imagine the bragging rights, imagine it.
- 42:13SPEAKER_02: We could sit here and just confidently turn around to the other one.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: Brendan would want nothing to do with this, I guarantee.
- 42:18SPEAKER_02: He's not putting his money where his mouth is.
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 42:23SPEAKER_00: Talking about what it was, this this this bring this brings the story.
- 42:26SPEAKER_00: Last year or the year before, I um for the listeners, I uh I actually took a plane and went to England.
- 42:32SPEAKER_00: Um, and uh I slept over at Phil's place for three or four nights, and we had a really, really good time.
- 42:38SPEAKER_00: But Phil and me came up with the idea of playing 1v1 basketball at like this dodgy court somewhere in Maidenhead.
- 42:48SPEAKER_00: I think we've played for 25 minutes and not a single basketball was caught.
- 42:56SPEAKER_02: No, you're doing us a disservice.
- 42:57SPEAKER_02: We played for 25 minutes and it was one all.
- 42:59SPEAKER_02: And there was like there was, I think Amesy was there, I think Schnorr was there, I think my wife was there, and they were all begging us to stop because it was so terrible.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: And they were like, just and we were like, No, there's gotta be a winner, and it was just awful.
- 43:13SPEAKER_02: And I think, yeah, I mean, there could be some comparisons to that, couldn't there?
- 43:17SPEAKER_00: I feel I feel like no, I feel like if you and just to bring it back real real quick, um, to the one for ones, I feel like that's why I think I think a defender would win, and I'm thinking more in the category of like an Artur de Slover, a Florence Wotelburg, um guys like that, Yupp de Mole, guys who who are like uh I'll tell you what, Phil.
- 43:41SPEAKER_01: If you put a time limit on it, like a five minute or ten minute game max, it would make it more interesting as well.
- 43:47SPEAKER_01: Because then obviously, like a minute left, you know, people are gonna have to try like harder.
- 43:50SPEAKER_01: I think it would actually make I genuinely would like to see this happen.
- 43:53SPEAKER_02: Um, it would yeah, but I I was more thinking if you're playing first to five, I don't think, yeah, unless.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Should get yeah, I I get your point actually.
- 44:01SPEAKER_02: Maybe it does have to be time related.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: Um, and then you go into sudden death if it's a draw.
- 44:07SPEAKER_01: It could be like it could be literally like first of five or or three minutes like maximum game or five minute maximum game time, where it's like it still finishes ultimately, but yeah, you can finish it early with goals.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: And I feel like if you if you there should also be like penalties for making sh making shoot too often or something like that.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Because I already know I'm looking at you, Brendan.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: I already know you were going to play this game.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: You're gonna be so destructive without the ball.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: Like you're not even gonna look at the ball, you're not just gonna like he told us last week his heroes are Max Muller and Martin Hainer, the two of the biggest kicking balls.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: I'm sliding at every opportunity, I don't care where the ball is, I'm just sliding and hoping I'm taking a man with me.
- 44:49SPEAKER_00: That's exactly what I'm thinking.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: But I did also have the cool idea that if you're playing in this tournament and there's like three pitch, say there's like three pitches, because clubs aren't gonna have more than six goals, and then you're like you've got spectators wandering around watching, and then at the end you have the final where you like make a little stand in the middle of the pitch, and then people watch the the the final.
- 45:10SPEAKER_02: It could be a fun day.
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: Um I'm I'm I'm starting to I'm starting to like I really thought you two are gonna shoot me down.
- 45:16SPEAKER_02: I'm really starting to think maybe I should take this to Y1 and we'll make it happen.
- 45:20SPEAKER_00: Let's say, let's say, let's say uh the top eight countries in the world uh are participating, or something like that.
- 45:28SPEAKER_00: Who would you think would win it?
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: Like honestly, who would you think if you had to bet money on it?
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: If you were like, okay, you have to bet, otherwise you get shot in the balls.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: Who would you but which players are playing?
- 45:41SPEAKER_02: That's is that your question?
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: Like top eight, top eight countries.
- 45:45SPEAKER_00: Like, who is the first one that springs to mind that oh he would be really good at this?
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: He would actually make it have a good chance of winning it.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: So, like Belgium, Holland, GB, Germany, Australia, Argentina, India, and uh Spain, New Zealand, like those countries, like the I I just chuckled because I pictured Amit Romadas just sprinting around the pitch for five minutes straight, charging around.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: A big man's winning.
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: Um, he would be horrible to play against, by the way.
- 46:13SPEAKER_01: No, because he would hit it through you every fucking time.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: I would make D's you, there'd be a rule about there'd be many D's, surely.
- 46:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I think that there would be a very small D.
- 46:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:24SPEAKER_00: Won't be hockey five rules.
- 46:26SPEAKER_01: If you had to put your money where your mouth is, yeah.
- 46:30SPEAKER_00: I would say like I'm first one, but I'm I'm biased, but like for me, like uh it's either a Jorit Kron type of player who's like who can who can defend actually quite well and is very skillful, like maybe a Wallace.
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I feel like the Slover would be really good at this shit.
- 46:51SPEAKER_02: Do you know what I think though?
- 46:52SPEAKER_02: I think that we're thinking you're too you're thinking two in the box.
- 46:56SPEAKER_02: I think this is such a different it's such a different game.
- 46:59SPEAKER_02: It's such a film, it's a different game.
- 47:01SPEAKER_01: So Phil, who are you thinking is gonna be good at this?
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: Because I think you've got to throw it in.
- 47:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm pretty sure, Brennan, you might have had this rash thought at the same time as me.
- 47:09SPEAKER_02: But it's no, God no.
- 47:13SPEAKER_02: It's it's it's it's Sam Ward.
- 47:15SPEAKER_02: He he he is an absolute menace in terms of just everything that he does.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: He he he I'm sure he won't be offended by this, but he's not blessed with great skill.
- 47:27SPEAKER_02: He's he's he's you know he's not blisteringly fast.
- 47:30SPEAKER_02: Um, but what he has is the ability to beat you one-on-one um whilst beating you up, and beat you up at the same time uh when you don't have the ball, and when you do have the ball, and it would just be an absolute nightmare.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: If he if he was matched against me, I would be like, for fuck's sake, this is this is not my cup of tea.
- 47:51SPEAKER_02: Because also you're gonna get the ball slammed through you, you're gonna get elbowed in the face.
- 47:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I feel like the shithouse are on show would be phenomenal and great TV as well.
- 48:02SPEAKER_00: I feel like he would be he would be uh he would be a good pick as well.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: I th I do think I've when you follow him on in him on Instagram, he is very um I don't know how you say it in Dutch or in English.
- 48:14SPEAKER_00: He he makes he likes to make fun of himself as well, as being not.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: I think that's I I and I appreciate that in someone.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: So I think that's really I don't think he'll be offended with you saying that that he doesn't think he's the best skill or whatever.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: He's very funny.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: You need like the functional players, maybe.
- 48:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I just think that he is good at someone would come out the woodwork, wouldn't they?
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: That you'd be like, where the fuck's this guy come from and why is he so good at this game?
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that's I think it opens up so many doors for like other kind of other kinds of players, like yeah, maybe like someone who also springs to mind on me is like Timereinger because he's so uh so unpredictable, even for himself, that it would be very hard to play against him, you know what I mean?
- 49:01SPEAKER_00: He could like, yeah, you you have no clue what is happening, but because he also doesn't have a clue what is happening.
- 49:07SPEAKER_01: Here's a question: who do you think who do you think is the player that would think they're amazing at it, but turns out they'd be pretty shit at it?
- 49:14SPEAKER_01: Like, is there anyone that springs to mind?
- 49:19SPEAKER_00: Like, to be honest, I think, I think, and I can say this.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: Um how do I say this without sounding incredibly arrogant?
- 49:28SPEAKER_00: I feel like almost everything I do, I would be good at.
- 49:31SPEAKER_00: I always look at a basketball game and I think I think I could do that, you know what I mean?
- 49:36SPEAKER_00: I could look like six videos on YouTube and always think, yeah, I think I could do this shit.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: I can't, but I always think I can.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: So I think I would give myself a really good chance of winning the tournament, even though all the top players in the world are playing, and I think I would go out in like round of 64 or round of 32 or something.
- 49:54SPEAKER_02: I yeah.
- 49:56SPEAKER_02: What is really funny is what I was actually thinking nerdily is that like the people who like to like pass or like use the pass as like a fake, they they they would be like low-key rubbish because you're always like, Well, what are you gonna do?
- 50:11SPEAKER_02: You just no one's gonna fall for a fake pass, are they?
- 50:14SPEAKER_01: You say that, but if we've got boards, you can play off the boards, the fake pass is still a play, it's genius.
- 50:22SPEAKER_00: I feel like uh maybe maybe like an uh Artyu van Dora would uh would be um not that he would think he's good, but he would be because he's such a like what's his USP?
- 50:32SPEAKER_00: That's just like his his what's someone you would think would be very good because he's the best player in the world, or like still still one of the best players in the world.
- 50:39SPEAKER_00: But I don't know if he would be this good at one-on-ones.
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: He probably would because he's an annoying fucker who's good at everything he does, probably.
- 50:47SPEAKER_00: I've played golf with him once, and he was also yeah, I haven't played in in ages, and then he he didn't even have his clubs with him.
- 50:53SPEAKER_00: He played with my clubs, and he was like annoyingly good as well.
- 50:57SPEAKER_01: I feel I feel our whole under-21 squad would be unbelievable at this kind of game because that's all we trained for years, was just one-on-ones over a 25 like distance, and it was like excruciatingly painful from like a hard training session point of view.
- 51:13SPEAKER_01: But we got pretty good at one-on-ones.
- 51:15SPEAKER_02: It's a shame that it it probably didn't relate much to a full-pitch hockey game, but I I do think it has to be a very small pitch because you don't just want my whole idea is that I'm pushing the I'm pushing the purest side of my uh hockey love, is that I don't want a machine to win, I want it to be like uh if a Yorick Chrome won and I'm sat there as CEO, I'm like, this was exactly what I wanted.
- 51:41SPEAKER_00: If just if if that's nice for normal Champagne would have won, you would be this is not what I intended.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: I'm just having something in my stock.
- 51:48SPEAKER_01: Bill, do you get more do you get like double goals for flare goals like or anything like this?
- 51:53SPEAKER_01: I feel like that's kind of your route for like a purist.
- 51:55SPEAKER_01: No, no, no.
- 51:57SPEAKER_01: Outrageous skill gets you double points, or like a nutmeg into a goal gets you double points.
- 52:01SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 52:01SPEAKER_01: Like the purist side of it.
- 52:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like it's just I manufacture the game so that it made it purist.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: Like if the field the field needs to be very small, as in that it's like you can't really use use the speed or your fitness because we also don't want to we don't we don't want any SNC coaches involved as well.
- 52:21SPEAKER_00: You don't need to be really, really fit.
- 52:24SPEAKER_02: You know you're so on board with me right now.
- 52:27SPEAKER_02: He's really close to me asking him to be assistant to the manager.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we don't want like SNC coaches there, we want like pure flair.
- 52:39SPEAKER_01: Maybe I'd just invite pure flair, like like it's like or you just get everyone you have to do a fitness test, and you have to get underneath a certain score to be eligible for the tournament.
- 52:49SPEAKER_02: You have to pass a skill test, that'd be a good one.
- 52:52SPEAKER_01: Well, I'm out.
- 52:55SPEAKER_01: You can you can eliminate Brent, you can eliminate by the lifted skill exercise.
- 52:59SPEAKER_02: Fantastic, brilliant.
- 53:01SPEAKER_02: I'd offer you the umpowering role.
- 53:03SPEAKER_02: You can do some unpowering.
- 53:04SPEAKER_01: I would a hundred percent take that.
- 53:06SPEAKER_01: I'd love to be a part of it.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: I would get it.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: If Brennan would have would have been the referee at one of my guests, I would 1000% be would be sent off as like within the within two minutes.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: No, Brendan, I'm not sure I've even got the spine to give a card, to be honest with you.
- 53:22SPEAKER_01: Brendan gets quite righteous.
- 53:23SPEAKER_00: Brendan's such a card, you you please don't yell at me.
- 53:26SPEAKER_01: I get righteous.
- 53:27SPEAKER_01: Dad's in the judicial system, I get very righteous.
- 53:29SPEAKER_02: He gets on his high horse easily, and he's he uses his power, he will be using his power early doors.
- 53:35SPEAKER_01: 100%.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: Brendan make a rash yellow card very quickly.
- 53:39SPEAKER_02: Rash yellow card 30 seconds in, and and and you're like, What how's that yellow card?
- 53:44SPEAKER_02: And and then Brennan's like, Well, I've done it now.
- 53:45SPEAKER_02: Uh red next one's a red.
- 53:51SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 53:52SPEAKER_02: Um, is that maybe maybe we'll ask the listeners, what do you think of the one-on-one idea?
- 53:57SPEAKER_02: Um, who do you think would win out of the three of us?
- 53:59SPEAKER_02: Who do you think would be the best in it in the world?
- 54:01SPEAKER_02: And um we'll we'll hit you back.
- 54:04SPEAKER_02: Um, and yeah, we'll we'll probably move it on.
- 54:08SPEAKER_02: We have one shit or hit, and then we might just nip into the coop, and then we're we're we're we're we're all done.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's the return for shit or hit.
- 54:16SPEAKER_00: We haven't done it in a while.
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: Um I I've I've had one shit or hit.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: I gotta give credit to uh to Matthew Alles because he came up with it, and I feel like uh yeah, he thought it was shit.
- 54:27SPEAKER_00: I think it's uh it's actually kind of a hit.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: Is uh when you're in the Olympic village, or if you're at Olympics, uh to take pictures with other athletes, as in uh with like the big boys there or or girls.
- 54:40SPEAKER_00: Like if there's like a uh so I so for an example, I went on uh on a picture with uh Luca Doncic, NBA star from the Mavericks, uh three years ago, which I was incredibly happy and proud because I um I he was like the up-and-coming star, and now he's like the star or like top five in the NBA.
- 55:01SPEAKER_00: So I was like very happy with it.
- 55:02SPEAKER_00: But um Matt Matthew, his reasoning was uh yeah, they are also there as athletes, they're also there to perform, and then uh it's really fanboyish or girlish to like go up with them and make a picture.
- 55:16SPEAKER_00: And I was like, Yeah, there's levels to this shit.
- 55:19SPEAKER_02: Could you open this up to like is it show hit to go and get selfies with with with um like celebrities as well?
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: Like, because I've always been kind of against it, I've always thought it was a bit shit because like they're just I try and think that they're just a person too, and that that that their value is no more than our value, but then obviously they're so they're a celebrity, but then at the same time, I would very much break it for Steph Curry.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: So exactly that's so that's that's 100% my reasoning as well.
- 55:50SPEAKER_00: I would, I would, I would also like I would not be too like eager to go on a picture with just anyone, it's just that if it's like very like a big star or whatever, like if if it's like Steph Curry, if LeBron, if I would have a chance to go on a picture with LeBron James, it's not that I would like uh every night before I go to bed have a wank on the picture with LeBron James, but like at least it would be like something I would be very proud of, or if that makes sense.
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: You'd be proud of having a wank over LeBron James.
- 56:20SPEAKER_00: No, I would be proud to have the picture together with LeBron James.
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Don't start about thinking Brendan if you want to go, let's not go, my crossy tiles not around, right?
- 56:30SPEAKER_01: Um, I have I have like one or two issues with it.
- 56:32SPEAKER_01: So like I agree with Matty, like so.
- 56:35SPEAKER_01: If there's for example, like I remember Commie Games, Johan Blake was sat there on his own having his food, and I remember he then got mobbed by like 20 people asking for a photo, and all he was doing was trying to have some lunch.
- 56:47SPEAKER_01: Like, I think there's like context to the photos, like if they're just walking around, I think it's like it should it should be like a hit.
- 56:55SPEAKER_01: But if they're like if you're mobbing them or you're like trying to just go around and take photos with everybody, I think it's so shit.
- 57:00SPEAKER_01: Like, I think there's definite levels to it.
- 57:02SPEAKER_02: We had it, we uh this does bring back a really funny story because me and Saws we were in the village um a few uh in Tokyo, and uh Yao Ming was there, the the the seven foot forward ex-basketball player, and sourz is like, oh my god, it's Yao Ming, oh my god, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna ask for a selfie.
- 57:21SPEAKER_02: And I was like, mate, mate, I don't know how this is going.
- 57:24SPEAKER_02: He went up to him, and as soon as Sour's as soon as he saw the Source was about to talk to him, he just looked down and went, No.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: And so was like, took it so well, but he's like, Oh okay, maybe not.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: See ya, see ya, mate.
- 57:42SPEAKER_02: See ya, y'all.
- 57:47unknown: Roger is great.
- 57:50SPEAKER_00: Nobody's he I know I know from him is that he didn't take any pictures with anyone.
- 57:56SPEAKER_00: That was like his thing.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah because let's be honest, he was like an attraction, he was like a like a like a like a ride at the carnival there.
- 58:04SPEAKER_00: Everyone wanted to have a picture with him.
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, that's fair.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: I think it must be so shit if you're like a big public figure and there's like you know people are looking to get photos with you.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: That must actually be pretty annoying when you're like crapping.
- 58:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, is it is it you're you're the coolest guy at at at the Olympics?
- 58:21SPEAKER_01: Like, is it dead shit to get pictures with other my point is like if if it's like for example, you're off day and this, that and the other, it's probably not the same as if you're like an hour before the like a game and you're on your way to a meeting and you get mobbed by 50 people.
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 58:33SPEAKER_01: Okay, they're gonna be a good thing.
- 58:34SPEAKER_02: He's just that coaching as well.
- 58:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:36SPEAKER_01: I'm uh Yao is not the reason I'm saying that for Phil.
- 58:39SPEAKER_01: I get it.
- 58:40SPEAKER_01: Yao's just pissed off with people just trying to take photos with him.
- 58:43SPEAKER_00: I just think I I took a picture with Tommy Fleetwood as well.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: Um I'm I I also by the way, I also have a really good story that I I tapped a really uh like a like a like a whatever, like a five foot eight Irish man on the shoulder to find out he was not Rory McElroy, or I thought he was Rory McElroy.
- 59:04SPEAKER_00: I was with my assistant coach, and we knew I was looking for like golfers all the time.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: So I saw Paul Casey was there and uh at Fleetwood, and I said to my to our assistant coach, I said, Yeah, I really want to take a picture with Fleetwood.
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: He said, What Fleetwood?
- 59:16SPEAKER_00: I said, Yeah, I really like him, he's a cool guy.
- 59:18SPEAKER_00: I said, Yeah, and McElroy, but that's not a big chance, is it?
- 59:22SPEAKER_00: Then we saw that this guy from the back, he was had like pretty big shoulders, and he like he had like the Roy walking at like short brown hair, and I was like, Hey, fuck, it's it's Roy, it's Roy.
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: And then we went up to him together with my assistant coach.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: We were like, Oh, it's Roy.
- 59:34SPEAKER_00: And I tapped him like on the shoulder and he looked around, and we were like, Oh, sorry, mate.
- 59:41SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 59:42SPEAKER_02: I think we're actually you we're we're kind of running out of time, so we might we might save the coop for next week.
- 59:48SPEAKER_02: Is that okay with you?
- 59:49SPEAKER_02: We'll we'll charge up the coop.
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's okay with the dishonest, but for me it's fine.
- 59:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we'll we'll we'll get back.
- 59:57SPEAKER_02: Uh don't worry, guys.
- 59:58SPEAKER_02: This isn't the end of the coop.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_02: The coop will we will enter and uh probably enter the first level.
- 1:00:04SPEAKER_02: Uh you know, take the lift to Crazy Town.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_02: It'll be good.
- 1:00:08SPEAKER_02: Weird levels of you's head.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure where I'm going with this.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm not sure either.

- 1:01:00SPEAKER_00: Fuck me.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_03: That's such a bad round.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_00: Maybe, Phil, you can do your own podcast next week.

- 1:01:13SPEAKER_01: Phil, do you know what?
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_01: I think you do your bit.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_01: I I'll do the same thing, but it's gonna come across a lot worse than yours.
- 1:01:22SPEAKER_02: What who scored more goals, Brendan Creed or someone else?
- 1:01:24SPEAKER_02: Is that what you mean?
- 1:01:25SPEAKER_01: No, no.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_01: No, I'm just gonna unlikely figures to have scored more goals than Ferropa, that's what I'm gonna go through.
