- 0:42Yeah, we have been to South Carolina. We enjoyed it. We
- 0:45went to Charleston, we did, but we like Savannah better, which is
- 0:50in the Peach State. A little grittier, I think a little grittier.
- 0:53Yeah, a little bit more laid back, I would say than Charleston's a
- 0:57real uppity. A lot of like cardigans tied around the neck. I feel
- 1:03like like you're kind of place with card it is. I do love a
- 1:07cardigan, just not tied around the neck unless it's strangling somebody. No kid,
- 1:11bit you now. Anyway, So we're back. Sorry we missed last
- 1:15week. We apologize. I was filling under the weather and then it just
- 1:19then we had family in town and it all just caught away with us.

- 2:57don't get the ads. So anyways, we do have some ads. I
- 3:00do. We do. We don't have any control over them, but we
- 3:04have them. No, we have control that they're there, but we don't
- 3:07have control of what they are. When I feel like, I know there's
- 3:09a lot of raisin canes ones, I feel like they know I eat that
- 3:13a lot or something, But I do love my raisin canes. I wonder
- 3:15if there's any advertisements for the Barbie movie. Oh my god, they've been
- 3:20advertising the on everything shit out of that thing. I can't turn around without
- 3:23fucking Barbie coming at me. It's not even the thing is it's not even
- 3:28I think people misunderstood and thought it was going to be like a Barbie movie
- 3:31that kids could go to, but it's rated PG thirteen, Like it's not.
- 3:36I know, I've heard it's like jokes like if you had like real
- 3:38young kids, they're not gonna understand the jokes or whatever, so it's fine.
- 3:44But like if you have those kids that are kind of in that older
- 3:46group whatever, there's like jokes like you know, section inappropriate. Yeah.
- 3:52Anyways, I think a lot of people thought it was gonna be for like
- 3:54PG for children, like they're with their moms to go with like daughters and
- 3:59moms to go to a Barbie movie for adee movie for adults. I didn't
- 4:03I thought it was for kids too until I tell like just this week people
- 4:06started saying, well, I didn't take my kids because I realized it was
- 4:10PG thirteen. But I mean, if you take your kids, I mean,
- 4:13I don't know, I can't be any worse than like the Shrek movies
- 4:16and they're into windows and all the jokes they make. So anyways, all
- 4:23right, but Barbie's not paying us, so why are we talking about that?
- 4:27This was their advertising. They just talked about it so much that now
- 4:30we're talking about it. We didn't get paid to talk about we need to
- 4:31cut out there. I know I am wearing a pink sweater. Two,
- 4:36I got a pink I don't want to know what's pink? Unused to Ward
- 4:43should stop, all right? So with that, let's get into to this
- 4:47episode. Charles Edward Parker Senior was born December twenty second, nineteen fifty,
- 4:54in Conway, South Carolina, to William and the Rain Parker. He would
- 4:58meet his wife, Gloria Diane Parker Nay Mills, who was born November first,
- 5:02nineteen fifty in Spartanburg, South Carolina's James and Shirley Mills. Now,
- 5:08when Charlie met Diane, she had recently voiced devoiced, Oh God, sail
- 5:14again, divorce, Oh my God, divorced and had a daughter named Bambi
- 5:20bamby given name too. They made sure and put that they made sure and
- 5:25say this was the given name. I knew a girl named Bambi. Real
- 5:29name, yes, but they let her pick her own. Then she had
- 5:32some hippie parents. Oh so, whenever she was old enough, they're like,
- 5:38who's your favorite? Do you what do you want to be named?
- 5:40And she loved Bambi the movie so much. She was like Bambi. Well,
- 5:43I wonder if they named her after Bamby, because this would have been
- 5:46I think that time it came out, Well, this girl loved Bamby so
- 5:49much and her hippie parents let her. Well, she was a little girl.
- 5:53I'm assuming when she loved Bambi that yes, she had a thirty two
- 5:56year old woman'd be like, I really loved Bambi now she was like five
- 5:59or so. Well, when it's not a bad name, it's a it's
- 6:01just a different name. Usually it's a nickname me here. Usually it's not
- 6:05a given name that someone has. But I don't know what they did back
- 6:10in the seventies anyways. So anyways, Diane had baby from a previous marriage.
- 6:16So when Charlie in her met they would get married in nineteen seventy seven
- 6:21when baby was six years old, so he would step in as a father
- 6:25figure for her, you know, being her stepdad. Charles and Charlie and
- 6:30Diane they would go on to have their own child together, Charlie Parker Junior.
- 6:36Now the family of four got along really well. Although Charlie was Bamby
- 6:40stepfather, she always called him daddy, his put daddy, not dad daddy.
- 6:49Nothing. His place in her life was even more established when her own
- 6:53father and her grandfather both died on the same day when she was twelve years
- 6:57old. I couldn't find out these were separate incidents or if it was like
- 7:00a thing. I think they just happened to die on the same day.
- 7:03Let him go together, No, I don't think so. So this event
- 7:10would lead the family to move to Bamby's grandfather's farm in Nixonville, South Carolina.
- 7:15Now, the massive two hundred and forty acre farm was actually left to
- 7:17Bamby in her grand from her grandfather, but she was only twelve at the
- 7:24time, so it would be held in a trust until she turned eighteen.
- 7:27So this the grandfather died, leaves this massive property to Bamby, But obviously
- 7:31she's a child, so she can't really do anything with it. So the
- 7:34Parkers, they had a typical family. Charlie and Diane were both big into
- 7:39church, attending Tilly Swamp Baptist Church where Charlie was a Deacond Swamp Baptist.
- 7:44You gotta get to swamp in there, swamp Batist, Tilly Swamp. I
- 7:47don't know, it's just the name of the church. I guess, I
- 7:49guess it's the name of the place. Tilly Swamp is the name of the
- 7:51time. Well, we cover those people down in Georgia. We are swamp
- 7:55people and they're real proud of it anyway. So they're living on this big
- 8:00arm that is in Bambies technically Bambies. But the families living there, everything's
- 8:05good though, everyone's happy. Everybody gets along. Now. Charlie he loved
- 8:09to go hunting and fishing, while Diane enjoyed going to yard sales and taking
- 8:15doing crafts and visiting her family back in Spartanburg. Now, Diane worked as
- 8:18a secretary in the public school and Charlie started his own glass replacement company.
- 8:24They were known in the community as good people that would help anyone that needed
- 8:26it. Their daughter, Bamby, was a bit of a wild one.
- 8:30Now. By the time she was twenty four, she had been divorced,
- 8:33not just once, because I mean twenty fours, maybe you got married really
- 8:37young, but she'd been divorced twice, so she's, you know, not
- 8:41a great track record so far. And during those marriages she had two children.
- 8:46Now, her mother, Diane began growing concerned that if she married again
- 8:50a man might try to take the property from her, this big two hundred
- 8:54and forty acre property. So Diane told Bamby that she should sign the deed
- 8:58over to her to TechEd it well. Bambi, who had begun struggling with
- 9:03the pain pill addiction, agreed it was for the best now. She also
- 9:07signed over the rights to her two children to Charlie and Diana so they could
- 9:11raise them, because she had, like she's struggling with this addiction. She's
- 9:13got these two Feld marriages. The dads are out of the picture, and
- 9:16so Charlie and Diane had started raising her two sons, and so she just
- 9:22thought, you know, I mean, not no position to take care of
- 9:26them or to manage this property in the correct way that it's not going to
- 9:31get taken from me by one of them. I mean, she's probably lucky
- 9:35that they didn't take the two divorces didn't take it, you know, before,
- 9:39you know, the land from her. Yeah, I mean, I
- 9:41guess they could have got some lord if there were some shady fellows and well,
- 9:46but I think they probably had the children with her, you know,
- 9:50and then they didn't want a responsibility of the children, so they certainly weren't
- 9:54able to go to court and argue that they suld get half of her because
- 9:58then they've been they'd have to take care of the childre they didn't. You
- 10:00can't really be like, yeah, I'll take the land, leave the children.
- 10:03I'm going to bandon the children, but I'd really like to get that
- 10:05property and saw it on. You can't really do that so anyway, So
- 10:09it was hard for the family and it was hard for Bamby to give them
- 10:13up, but the boys love their grandparents and enjoyed living with them. On
- 10:18April twelfth, two thousand and five, Charlie didn't show up to work at
- 10:22his glass company. Bamby also could not get hold of Diane, who she
- 10:26was supposed to go antique INGI with. Unable to reach either of them,
- 10:30two employees of the glass plant and Charlie Junior headed over to the farmhouse to
- 10:33check on them. When they walked in, they were horrified by the scene.
- 10:39They immediately call nine one one and there was screaming in the background.
- 10:43As the employee described the crime scene, there was blood everywhere and it was
- 10:48a parent. Charlie and Diane were both dead. Yeah, the employees you
- 10:52know, going through everything that he's seeing. But you can hear Charlie Junior
- 10:56screaming the background, like going like my mom, my dad, Like they're
- 11:00they're dead. Yeah. Police arrive on seeing as word starts getting around the
- 11:05community what had happened out there at the farmhouse Bambi, who still did not
- 11:11know what had happened, as she was living in Myrtle Beach at the time
- 11:15and trying to get hold of her mom again. Now this time she called
- 11:18the glass shop, where an employee answered and told her that her mom and
- 11:24dad were both dead. Yeah, just flat out. It's like, hey,
- 11:26sorry, yeah, sorry, you didn't hear their dead. Yeah,
- 11:30well this is two thousand and five, this is pre no. Facebook was
- 11:33a thing, but it was only for college students. You had to have
- 11:37a college remember that, I don't know. You had to have you could
- 11:41so my Space was like the one everybody could do and then you were friends
- 11:45with Tom. But Facebook, Facebook, you only could do it if you
- 11:48had a college email addressed to verify was only for college students. It's okay,
- 11:54Stude's just knocking things over and blames it on the at anyways. But
- 12:01yeah, Facebook was only for college dude, So yeah, she's just I
- 12:03mean I could call up the glass plant and be like, oh, y,
- 12:05have you heard from him? I mean you didn't expect anything but that.
- 12:09I mean, that's just not even on the radar. You'd be like,
- 12:13oh, yeah, you would think, oh, you know, it
- 12:15was an emergency and you know, dad baby had a heart attack, had
- 12:18to run at the hospital, and that's where moms with him. Yeah,
- 12:20so they don't even know. They're just like, I don't know, they're
- 12:22dead. They're at the farmhouse. They're dad would on the Yeah, were
- 12:24they in a wreck farming accident? What happened? What? We don't know.
- 12:28Yeah, they're just dead. That's just it. Stude, they're just
- 12:31dead. I'd be a terrible phone call to Yes, it is a terrible
- 12:35phone call. Well anyways, anyways, So, needless to say, Bambi
- 12:39was in shock and her and her new boyfriend, whom she was currently living
- 12:43in with, headed over to the farm. While initially coming up on the
- 12:48scene, investigators thought this was a robbery turned murder. However, when they
- 12:54started looking around, things were disheveled, but nothing of real value was taken.
- 12:58It didn't like your typical home robbery. It looked more like a home
- 13:01invasion. They learned that both Charlie and Diane had been shot to death.
- 13:07Charlie was found in the bathroom and Diane in the bedroom. Something interesting they
- 13:13did find, and the most promisingly, was four blood drops on the carpet
- 13:18moving away from Diane's dead body. So it looked like somebody had cut themselves
- 13:22and as they were walking away from Diane that they were just trailing blood behind
- 13:28them. Yeah, and they knew it wasn't because of how it was dropped.
- 13:33They knew that where Diane had been shot, that's where she died,
- 13:35So there was no getting shot and then moving or anything. That they knew
- 13:39those four blood drops were from the killer, So yeah, that they weren't
- 13:43from her because she didn't she didn't continue moving after she was shot. The
- 13:48investigators collected the blood evidence to run for a DNA match so that they could
- 13:54see if they had any further suspects in this system. Yes. Now police
- 13:58spoke to the family. This included Bamby and boyfriend Rick. Now they learned
- 14:03that tensions had been running high in the family. Can't be too high.
- 14:05They were about to go antiquing together. It's not like they were going axe
- 14:11throwing where it's like angry or something Antiquing's a very docile activity than usually ends
- 14:18with like getting a coffee or a tea or something a little salad or sandwiches.
- 14:24Yeah, getting some lamp at a tea cup. Anyway, So they
- 14:30had learned that Bamby had been working over the years to get her life in
- 14:33order after giving up her two sons. Now she met this man, Rick
- 14:39Gagnon Gagnon, I guess how you pronounce him at her dad's glass shop.
- 14:43Well, they hit it off. Rick was a good influence on Bamby.
- 14:46He helped her overcome her pill addiction. They ended up moving into a home
- 14:50together out in Myrtle Beach. At this point in time, Bamby was pretty
- 14:56stable. She had over or she you know, she been off the pills.
- 15:00That's something you never completely overcome, you know. It's a daily struggle.
- 15:03Stoo. I mean, yes, I don't know. I don't either,
- 15:09So I've based on what I've seen on the Vanderpump rolls. It's it's
- 15:13a lifelong thing trying to make to maintain sobriety. So I'll whether it be
- 15:18pills or whatever, it all comes back to vanderpump Roules. Yes, so
- 15:22she's all comes back to Kelly Clarkson. Okay, yeah, it does all
- 15:26come back to Kelly clarks anyways. Um, so she's pretty stable at this
- 15:33point. She's got this good home. She's got Rick. He is a
- 15:35boyfriend, but he seems to be a good influence in her life and everything
- 15:39like that. And she has decided that she wants her boys back and to
- 15:43come live with her. Kid Now, her two sons would have been around
- 15:46eight and ten at this time, and they had been living with their grandparents
- 15:50for a few few years and they loved it. They're outdown on their farm.
- 15:52They loved their grandma and grandpa. Very stable, atmosphere, forum,
- 15:58dinner on the table every night, you know, structure. Well, Bamby
- 16:03begged her mom to let the boys come live with her. Well Diane,
- 16:06She finally agreed, but just two weeks later started second guessing her decision.
- 16:10She felt the boys should continue living at the farm. Now, Bamby,
- 16:14she obviously disagreed. She wanted him to come live with her, and they
- 16:17are eight and ten. If she turned her life around, there's still time
- 16:21for her to the memories they could have. If she is stable to be
- 16:26through their teenage years and stuff like that, to still remember growing up with
- 16:30their mom and stuff like that. So, I mean, I see,
- 16:33I would be concerned about the boyfriend, even though he seems to be a
- 16:36good influence. They're not married or anything that, So you don't know how
- 16:38it's stable that situation is. Is that what? That's what my family thought
- 16:44about. You shut up, Steward, know they didn't. Our parents are
- 16:48both of our parents were just happy we found someone to put up with the
- 16:53other one pretty much everyway. So the argument was going on at the time
- 16:59of the murders of where the boys were going to live. So Bamby also
- 17:02admitted to be police that there had been an ongoing feud between her mother and
- 17:04Bamby over that control of that farmland. Now, Diane wanted to ensure the
- 17:08land was still in the family so that Bamby's two boys could inherit it some
- 17:11day. She did not trust Bamby to hang on to that land. She
- 17:15was afraid she would lose it to an ex husband, or sell for drugs,
- 17:18or squander the money away on something else. And she Diane was crazy.
- 17:22I mean, it was a real possibility that's why Bamby signed it over
- 17:26in the first place. Yeah, and it's not like Diane was taking the
- 17:30land. Her mom was taking the land from her and like what was she
- 17:34going to do with it? Yeah, there was Yeah, she was living
- 17:38on it with the her two sons. You know. It wasn't like they
- 17:41were selling off the property and like so and spend the money on Yeah.
- 17:45So she really was just trying to hold on it for the boys. Obviously,
- 17:49Bamby didn't agree with this because she has turned her life around and she
- 17:52wanted that land back and she wanted her boys back. Well. Rick didn't
- 17:56like the way that they treated Bamby. He felt they were being controlling over
- 18:00her life and they just didn't trust you. Okay, down, Rick,
- 18:07You've only been here five minutes. They were here for the first That's what
- 18:11I want to tell some people that are like or I've anyways, I'm not
- 18:15gonna use the example. I want to when somebody said to be like I
- 18:17was here for the first wife dot, They're like, I was here for
- 18:22the first two husbands. You're not even married yet, Rick, So shout
- 18:25they fuck up. Okay, So anyway, so Rick's you know, talking
- 18:29to Baby and probably fueling it from his side, and Diane's trying to just
- 18:33do what's best for the boys and everything like that. So please are listening
- 18:37to all this And this kind of stuck out to them because no one else
- 18:40seemed to have an issue with Charlie and Diane except Bamby and Rick. They
- 18:44asked for their alibi, and both Rick and Baby said they were at home
- 18:47in Myrtle Beach. They said the boys were there as well, but in
- 18:49their room. They tested the two of them for a gunshot residue, but
- 18:52both of those both of them came back negative. Now, after the interview,
- 18:56they took Bamby and Rick back to the farm where their car was dropped
- 19:00them off. Police started looking into this feud between Bamby and Diane when they
- 19:04found that police had actually had to go to the farm just four months prior
- 19:08to the murders to handle a domestic dispute. Diane had called nine one one
- 19:15after herself and Bamby had gotten into an argument over the boys and she felt
- 19:19threatened by Bamby. Dumb dumbo. Building to suspense? You building suspense,
- 19:27do you think? Yeah, Without the sound, it's just hard to have
- 19:30a lot of suspense when one of the people's name is Bamby. To take
- 19:33it seriously, you think it's not that menacing. It's like antiquing, It's
- 19:41like, it's just it's not And then Mickey Mouse shouting, yeah, I
- 19:45mean, it's just it's not a menacing it's not a menacing name. You
- 19:48know. When police arrived, Bamby had already left, but they spoke to
- 19:52Diane and it was all caught on the police officer's body camp. She told
- 19:59the officer that Bamby was screaming at her and that she had tried to rip
- 20:03the phone out of her hand. She also told the officer that she was
- 20:07scared of her own daughter. She also told him that if anything happened to
- 20:11her, Bamby should be considered suspect number one. Well, she said Bamby
- 20:18was responsible. That you you've had it in a few extra words. But
- 20:23that's okay for dramatic effect, I guess, yeah, Well, Bamby would
- 20:26responsible, would be responsible if anything happened to her. Yes, Anyway,
- 20:33the police did not feel that Bamby could do this on her own. However,
- 20:38they didn't think she actually had the heart to kill her own parents.
- 20:42They believed that she had to have an accomplice, and they believed that accomplice
- 20:47would be Rick. Rick seemed to be defensive of Bamby. They figured that
- 20:52he loved her and then he would do anything for her up to and including
- 20:57often. And also you have to think about the land. You know a
- 21:02lot of money the land. Well, the land I believe at the time
- 21:06was valued at like a million dollars. This isn't a small there's two hundred
- 21:10and forty acres apparently like prime real estate. So a million bucks for this
- 21:15this piece of land. That's a lot of money. If you don't have
- 21:18any nice little retirement. Yeah, if you invest that right, you could
- 21:23not work for the rest of your life. You invest it in a SMP
- 21:30five hundred, which has you're gonna give us some financial historical eight to ten
- 21:37percent returns and you live off the dividends. You just have to learn to
- 21:41live about off about eighty two hundred thousand dollars. So anyway, so what
- 21:45do you don't even have to take anything out of it. You just live
- 21:48off the dividends. But inty ways, with this new interest in Bambi and
- 21:53Rick, they went to go talk to them. They obtained their shoes from
- 21:57the day before to test for blood. Now, they also brought them in
- 22:00for a polygraph test, which Bamby felled. Which again I don't give fuck
- 22:03about these polygraph tests. Like I said, the Green River killer, he
- 22:07passed his okay, Like what is it matter? Now? They also,
- 22:11I mean, Bamby been on pain killers for years. You know, she
- 22:14got her nerves are shot, all right, she can't handle this is probably
- 22:18They also brought them in or they tested Rick's shoes and found that he had
- 22:21a very small amount of Charlie's blood on his shoes. Now Bamby's shoes had
- 22:25no blood on them. With this new information, they brought Bamby and Rick
- 22:29back in for questioning. Now keep in mind this evidence was collected not the
- 22:33day of the murder. This was collected the next day whenever they they didn't
- 22:38do all this testing on the day of the actual murder. So they confronted
- 22:45them individually with the blood evidence on the shoe. They both had the same
- 22:48story. Now, after the police dropped them back off at the farm the
- 22:51day of the murders, after they had been interviewed the first time. Remember
- 22:53we said they were taken back out to the farm's that's where their car was.
- 22:56Bamby realized she had forgotten her purse with her keys and cell phone in
- 23:00it in the police car, and so they didn't have anything. They didn't
- 23:07have keys in the cars and have phone or nothing. Now with no way
- 23:11to get a hold of the officer that dropped them off because she said she
- 23:14forgot her phone in there. She told Rick that they could just drive her
- 23:17mom's car and get her person the next day because her mom's car was sitting
- 23:19there. Everything like that. She was just ready to get home, you
- 23:22know, after this being questioned and everything, well, she asked Rick to
- 23:26go in the house, which police had already cleared, so there was no
- 23:30issue with going inside and getting the keys. They said, it's good to
- 23:32go in. We got all evidence, we can the houses yours to have
- 23:36to clean up, you know. So Rick said he went in and found
- 23:38the keys. When he heard Bamby outside screaming and crying calling for her mom.
- 23:44Well, Rick walked into the bathroom where Charlie had been murdered and closed
- 23:48the blinds. He did not want baby to see the blood everywhere. Now,
- 23:52that is when he says he stepped in the blood. Now police weren't
- 23:55buying this story. They begin yelling at Baby, saying I know you killed
- 23:59them, and she continued to deny it. The lead investigator tells the officers
- 24:03to arrest her for two counts of murder. A similar thing happens to Rick,
- 24:07and both find themselves sitting in gael cells awaiting charges. You know,
- 24:11the two kids just sitting at home like the worst mom and then worst mom
- 24:15and boyfriend. Yeah, well I don't think they were well yeah, I
- 24:18guess they might have been eight and ten. No, well, today you'd
- 24:22get arrested apparently doing that. But back in two thousand and five you could
- 24:25leave an eight and a ten year old at home. Yeah, today though
- 24:27you couldn't. We've gone completely like Psycho. You can't. You can't let
- 24:33the older sibling baby sit the younger siblings anymore. Although ten's a little young.
- 24:37But I mean you can but tell something happens then all of a sudden,
- 24:41it's going to be a problem. No sudden, you're yeah, you're
- 24:42in trouble. I mean, we would never let the two year old babysit
- 24:45the one year old when we were here, But I'm not talking about like
- 24:48I was gonna let her take him a swimming now, But I read a
- 24:52thing where a mom got arrested because she left like the fourteen year old home
- 24:55with like the twelve twelve year old or something. Yeah, I heard about
- 24:59that she had to go to work. Yeah, it's like they used to
- 25:02do that all the time back in the day. It's ridiculous. Anyways,
- 25:06it's about child and dangerment or some sort of bullshit. Now, six months
- 25:10would go by and they eventually had to let baby go as they did not
- 25:14have enough to charge her with the murders and she was not rolling over on
- 25:18Rick. Yeah, she's I don't know if they she did sit in jail
- 25:22for six months, so I don't know if she didn't have the money to
- 25:25post a bond, or if she wasn't given the option, or who knows.
- 25:29This is some fucking backwoods. This is some justice over here, some
- 25:33weird ass shit going on in this small town. Just like, let's just
- 25:37pick a murderer and hope for the best, throw a penny in a wishing
- 25:42well, and hope we catch a motherfucker. Now, police claim they had
- 25:48enough to go with the charges on Rick for both murders, so he would
- 25:53be going to trial. It would take three years sitting in jail, but
- 25:57in two thousand and eight finally began. The prosecution brought forward the motive of
- 26:03money, as the farm property was worth over a million dollars like Kara said,
- 26:10and the custody of the children. So they're gonna they're gonna go with
- 26:12this thing. That baby wanted them dead because she wanted the money, wanted
- 26:18the kids, and they were controlling her life and everything like that, and
- 26:25even though she was just going to go antiquing with her mom's. Yes,
- 26:29it doesn't make sense why we did that one where that girl went walking with
- 26:33the sister in law, oh while murdering her husband over in h Yeah,
- 26:41but if she wasn't going on she Yeah, but I guess that was I
- 26:45mean, it wasn't a person that she was going to kill though, No,
- 26:48but it was the sister That was pretty terrible. Yeah, that was
- 26:49pretty awful. And then she had her kids walk in and find the body.
- 26:52Anyway. Yes, Now, the prosecution presented the evidence of the blood
- 26:59on Rich and when the defense tried to argue that Rick got the blood on
- 27:03the shoe from stepping into the bathroom to close the blinds. The prosecution came
- 27:08back with evidence contradicting his story. They had crime scene photos that were taken
- 27:15before Rick said he entered the home where the blinds were already clearly closed.
- 27:21So the prosecutionist hand that he lied. Now I have taken issue with this
- 27:26because I was, okay, I haven't ever listened to the Up and Vanished
- 27:32season that was the big thing. How many ever years ago with the terror
- 27:38Grinstead, I think it's the lasting case where the guy, the Paine Lindsay
- 27:42guy, he went and started interviewing about this lady and like stirred all the
- 27:48stuff up. So when he was got it got solved because he started asking
- 27:51all these questions around town and people started getting nervous, and because it'd been
- 27:53like ten years or something like that, and then all of a sudden,
- 27:56this guy comes in and just starts you know, if you think you got
- 28:00of got away with something that happened ten years ago, and then all of
- 28:03a sudden someone comes in and just like basically lives in your town and just
- 28:07asking people, and then millions of people started listening to a podcast about it.
- 28:11It starts making you nervous. So anyway, so the case got solved.
- 28:15But I will say that what reminded me of this was that they had
- 28:21gone in to assess the crime scene because Tara had gone missing, and they
- 28:26go into her house. Well her the family member said that, or the
- 28:30friends and family that had gone in first said that her bed was unmade,
- 28:34there was cat poop because she had a cat cat poop in the cat box,
- 28:37and stuff like that that needed to be cleaned or whatever, and all
- 28:41this stuff was happening they said when they went where the house was released back
- 28:44to them. When they went in, the bed had been made and the
- 28:48cat poop and stuff had been cleaned out. So what I'm saying is like,
- 28:51just because there's photos of it, doesn't mean that some dumbass like person
- 28:56do in there with the crime scene had didn't go and open the blinds to
- 28:59get more light in there or whatever. We don't know. This is like
- 29:03Keystone cops out here doing this shit. Yeah, he could have taken some
- 29:07photos walking into the bathroom and then he's like, I need more light to
- 29:11take pictures on the floor, so he opens the blinds to take him.
- 29:14Yeah. So the same person that took pictures of the closed blinds could have
- 29:15been the same guy that opened him. Yeah, or so to me,
- 29:18that doesn't really say one thing. Also, maybe he did. Maybe he
- 29:22just wanted to look in the bathroom because it was like morbid curiosity because there's
- 29:26it was, where the crime scene was. We don't know, we don't
- 29:30know. I just wanted to be a lucky loose. It just seemed like
- 29:32this is a lot to pin a murder on somebody, especially when you release
- 29:36the house back to him, and especially since the Yeah, anyway, and
- 29:40you didn't clean it up. Nobody's been called in to clean up though,
- 29:42Well, no, that's my family's responsibility. Well, yes it is.
- 29:45But unfortunately, but that didn't They didn't check his shoes the day of the
- 29:49murder before that. These are not like, this is not a well run
- 29:56crime investigation at all. No, I'm not even sure that how they got
- 29:59a trial and they're trying to hang this on how the prosecution's for three years.
- 30:03Yeah, we're good for this. Yeah, this sounds like a good
- 30:06case. So the prosecution also brings forward a jailhouse snitch I mean informant by
- 30:12the name of Robert Mullins, and he tells the jury that Rick had told
- 30:17him about the murders in great detail while in prison. The defense argued that
- 30:22other than the blood on the shoe, there was no other evidence against Rick.
- 30:26It was all circumstantial. The defense also claimed that the jailhouse informant had
- 30:33presented himself as a friend to Rick and that he had simply Rick had simply
- 30:37talked about the case with him. Rick never said that he murdered anybody,
- 30:44and Rick would know more details. Drink, I think I will. Anyways,
- 30:52Rick probably did know more details about the murder than your everyday Joe because
- 30:56he's dating the woman, the daughter, you know, so they got a
- 31:00little information. This isn't I'm all fourd if Rick is like the one who
- 31:06killed him, fine, let's put him in jail. But these like weak
- 31:08cases that they got going on. The one from last last episode with Terry
- 31:12Rouse, like that was a little bit sketchy. This is getting a little
- 31:15sketchy for me. I'm not feeling really confident about this, not feeling confident
- 31:19in the justice system at the moment now. The defense argued that Rick's DNA
- 31:26did not match the DNA found in the blood drops at the crime scene,
- 31:30and they never found the match to those blood. Yeah, the four drops
- 31:33from the actual murderer that they does not match Bamby, does not match um
- 31:38Rick. They don't know who it matches too. So they're just like,
- 31:41well, forget about it. Well, the prosecution has thrown all this shit
- 31:45on the wall to see what was stick. So they threw another piece,
- 31:48and they're saying that Rick and Bambley had another accomplice that probably dropped the blood.
- 31:56But they have a person into this. Yeah, they're just they're just
- 32:00gonna be like, yeah, there was a third person. Now. The
- 32:02case went to the jury and the jury found Rick guilty on both charges and
- 32:09he was sentenced to two life sentences. Jury. I don't know what's wrong
- 32:13with this jury either. I mean, like, this is yes, we
- 32:17give our opinions and this if we haven't noticed, but this is ridiculous.
- 32:21Anyways, So Baby moved on with her life. Her sons believed, actually
- 32:25believed that she did have something to do with the murders, and they turned
- 32:29on her. They're like, I don't have anything to do with you.
- 32:31They completely out of her life. I guess they went and lived with other
- 32:37family members, but they didn't want anything to do with Bamby. Now Rick
- 32:39sat in jail working with lawyers on an appeal. Now, in two thousand
- 32:44and nine, there was a new development in the murders. Now the blood
- 32:47from the crime scene had been entered into CODIS and it finally got a hit.
- 32:52A thirty three year old man named Bruce Antoine Hill had been arrested in
- 32:57Tennessee after a home invasion. He and a was taken and put into the
- 33:01CODA system and a match was found with this information, Hill was arrested and
- 33:06charged with the murders. Now, in twenty eleven, he went on trial
- 33:09and was convicted. So he's convicted of Charlie and Diane's murders. Like,
- 33:15he went on trial, convicted everything. Now, during this time, police
- 33:17believe that that this was the accomplice. They can't with it. This was
- 33:22the accomplice of Rick, and they're like, wow, we've done great police
- 33:25work with was good banding. Now, so anyway, so that this is
- 33:34the guy they've been looking for all this time that helped Rick commit the murders.
- 33:37Now, they spoke to Hill and he said he did not know Rick
- 33:39and he had never heard of him. He didn't really say it like that.
- 33:42I think he said, what the fuck are you telling about? He
- 33:45said, I've never met that cracker. I think it's what he called am
- 33:49I allowed to say that, that's what he said. Anyways, this was
- 33:54Rick's key to freedom. He just needed he'll to admit this to a judge
- 33:58while under oath. Well, this guy refused. He's like, fuck this
- 34:01guy, or when I'm not helping him? So both Hill and Rick sat
- 34:05in prison well. Rick's lawyers continue to work on his appeal and finally caught
- 34:08a break when another inmate testified that his appeal hearing that the original Gelhouse of
- 34:14informant, Robert Mullins, admitted to lying about Rick confessing to the murders.
- 34:20So another Gelhouse informant turned on the Gelhouse informant and said, he said,
- 34:24oh, I lied about that. I was just fucking round with that guy.
- 34:27Yeah. I needed an extra pudding cup or something that whatever they gave
- 34:31him whatever. Yeah. So with this new information, the judge finally granted
- 34:37Rick a new trial, and he was released from prison in February of twenty
- 34:40thirteen. Because the judge said that if they didn't even care about the fact
- 34:45that they actually found the murderer, based on the DNA. The judge didn't
- 34:49care about any of that because the police were arguing that the prosecution was arguing
- 34:52they were accomplices. The judge granted the new trial because without that informant,
- 35:00he didn't believe that would have could have possibly changed the outcome of the case
- 35:04of the original trial, right, So that's why he got the new one.
- 35:07So finally in twenty fifteen, so two years after he's released, they're
- 35:12still trying to like they still got him as a suspect, like, they're
- 35:15still working on trying to retry him and everything. Finally, twenty and fifteen,
- 35:19a new prosecutor comes into town and he finally just drops the case against
- 35:23Rick. So this guy went through all this because that some prosecutor before had
- 35:29a fucking heart on to come after this guy because they didn't know what they
- 35:32were going to do to solve this martyr. Most likely well, they didn't
- 35:36want to admit that they were wrong after they found the actual killer, instead
- 35:38of saying, oh man, we really messed this up. Well, did
- 35:43they get Robert Mullins put a thousand and as commissari to get him the line?
- 35:46I don't know what they did, but I'm just saying, I'm wondering
- 35:50if they did some of the nefarious ship to get this guy. But what
- 35:52I'm saying is that even that when they saw that they were clearly wrong about
- 35:55this, they never went and admitted it. And we're just gonna let a
- 35:59guy sit in prison for the rest of his life, which is really messed
- 36:00up. No, that's what they do. I don't think I've ever heard
- 36:05one where they're like, oh, well, we're sorry, we messed up.
- 36:07Well, we'll get chatted in jail, right life. Yeah, that
- 36:10doesn't happen, does it now. I never hear them just oh yeah,
- 36:15man, sounds like my dad whoops, ten years, twenty years. They
- 36:20admit that, then they get opened themselves up to being sued, and then
- 36:22the next thing, you know, they should be yeah, they ought to
- 36:27do the time that they made. That's a bit sir. Yeah, anyway,
- 36:30especially if they're if they did do it on purpose because they were looking
- 36:35for somebody to get for the crime. Anyway, So Bambi's son sons,
- 36:42both of them did eventually come around to the fact that their mom did not
- 36:45have anything to do with their grandparents murder. They were able to rebuild their
- 36:51relationship. Rick went on to start a life outside of prison, and he
- 36:55did get married, but not to Bamby, and he now had children and
- 37:00he's living on the coast in South Carolina. Ye as far as we know.
- 37:06Yeah, so it he was thankful and the guy that actually killed them
- 37:10is sitting rotting in jail. So all right, so that's our case for
- 37:15this week. I will it is a little bit sad because the fact that
- 37:19Charlie and Diane were the murder victims, but it ended up whenever we're going
- 37:22through this, she's you almost not forget about him. But Rick became a
- 37:28victim in this too. Eight years of his life were taken away and all
- 37:31this and you kind of lose focus from the original. Bambi became a strange
- 37:36from her children because yeah, because of all this, because the police just
- 37:39were set on penning them for this murder because it was the easy target.
- 37:45And Bambi and Rick broke up. Yeah, and apparently and the heel guy,
- 37:51he apparently was just a random home invasion. He just found this property
- 37:55and just that's what he did. He didn't even take anything. Oh him
- 38:00might have, We just don't know what he took. Unlus it was just
- 38:01cash. Well though, it seemed like he just did home invasions, like
- 38:06this was just his thing. I don't know. Well, they usually in
- 38:10a home invasion, they normally just take something small that they can carry in,
- 38:14whether it be cash or something that they can carry in. They didn't
- 38:17say what he took, but it didn't seem like he took anything. He
- 38:21was just he That's why he had been rested before, was on home invasions,
- 38:23why he got his DNA put in there. But yeah, so anyways,
- 38:29do you have a y'all need Jesus for its nice? Of course I
- 38:31got a y'all need to this. I always have a y'all need. Okay,
- 38:34Well, come on, then let's go not um, this is going
- 38:37to be difficult to Florida or not Florida. So headline here is why scantily
- 38:46clad women brawled on a casino floor. Well, I'm gonna go with no
- 38:53Florida because I don't think there's any is there casinos in Florida. There might
- 38:58be, it's not known for though, so I'm going to say no,
- 39:01think Florida can handle casinos. I'm sure they got a reservation somewhere with a
- 39:07casino. I don't think they can handle casinos. The people of Florida they
- 39:10cannot handle acause I'm sure they can, and I'm sure they have them Las
- 39:15Vegas. We're going back to Las Vegas after old Dan I think got drugged
- 39:22or roofied or whatever happened to him where he was gyrating the real life the
- 39:27Hangover movie. Yes, well this happened about the same time, and I
- 39:34was gonna do this one was the name Jesus. But then Dan came along
- 39:37with his antics, which seemed more out of out of what do you want
- 39:43to call it? He upped the game. Yeah, however, we've come
- 39:47back and we got new information on this story. And this is an updated
- 39:52July twenty one, twenty twenty three, and this is coming to us from
- 39:57casino dot org. If there is a casino dot org website that has the
- 40:02news of the casinos. Okay, so it's not every day that videos go
- 40:07viral featuring a woman being dragged off a motorized scooter and a luxury casino resort
- 40:14as another woman yanks. Yes, there was a woman on a scooter and
- 40:17a casino. I mean, this is like some Walmart chet going down on
- 40:21a really posh casino in Vegas. This is stup. This is stuff you
- 40:27would accept to happen at slots of fun or something like that down the road,
- 40:31but not at the wind. So anyway, woman on a motorized scooter,
- 40:37another woman yankner by the hair. So you find out why it occurred,
- 40:43this becomes news. The melee, which also featured bass punching and shoe
- 40:50throwing, occurred on July ninth that as after one of the combatants recognized a
- 40:55woman walking through wind Las Vegas as the only fans model who was cheating with
- 41:02her husband. So the so the wife was on the scooter, I think,
- 41:08well, she's not walking, so yeah, and the only fans Well
- 41:13we got I think that's a well, probably got the only we got the
- 41:15only fans model, and she's got a friend, and we got the wife,
- 41:19and the wife has a friend. Okay, but you're saying the wife
- 41:22saul the only fans model, it's definitely the one that's walking, because that'd
- 41:30be a very specific only fans fetish if she was not walking. You know,
- 41:35you think you think there's a fetish for that, Oh for sure,
- 41:37Like a girl on motorised scooter are doing sexy stuff. Yes, yes,
- 41:44I think there is. There's one for everything. Now, for those of
- 41:47you who may not have heard of Only Fans, Only Fans is a London
- 41:52based subscription service primarily used by sex workers to produce porn and also hosts the
- 42:00work of content creators such as physical fitness trainers and musicians that I did not
- 42:07know. Well, I think, well, no, it is, but
- 42:09I think that what happens is the people that have the stuff and then that's
- 42:14where they go to like show like nude photos of themselves, even though they
- 42:17might be musicians and I don't really things like that. Yeah, so you
- 42:22could be like a concert pianist and then on the side you just lay across
- 42:28your piano neked on. Only Fans make a bunch of money, Okay,
- 42:31did not know now. Footage of the brawl landed on several Instagram and tektik
- 42:37videos with more than five million views each, and they do have a compilation
- 42:44of all the different angles, just like Only Fans. Okay, So if
- 42:51you're watching the video as I'm telling you, there's a girl by the name
- 42:54of Danielle per two Celio twenty four. Okay, she's from New York anyway,
- 43:05Danielle twenty four was the only fan model in the cream colored miniskirt that
- 43:09got hiked up around her waist as she penned a woman and cut off jeans
- 43:15and a black and white halter top on the carpet. Due to redactions in
- 43:20the police report, it's unclear whether the pen woman or the blonde woman in
- 43:25white sweatpants who ran up and punched was the spermed wife. The blonde woman
- 43:32was also the one who on the So you know, would be really helpful
- 43:38with these if you would like summarize them like I do this in like an
- 43:42entire case, it would be really helpful to everybody, everybody involved. Well,
- 43:47I just find this story and I know, and then you just kind
- 43:51of read through it nonchalantly on while we're recording, and here we are.
- 43:55Well that's what I did when things not making sense. That's why you should
- 44:00have cut out some of this. I probably should have cut it out,
- 44:02all right, Well, can you continue on with your thoughts or whoever these
- 44:07bitches are that got in an argument about some guy, some loser guy.
- 44:14So basically, all as we know for sure is that the only fans model
- 44:19is the one that got her stuff hiked up and she's running around her her
- 44:22thong and then she's got a friend who's in the melee. There's a blind
- 44:28lady on a scooter who's getting attacked. I'm guessing that's the wife, but
- 44:32all the police reports are redacted, so we don't know who's who other than
- 44:37the Danielle girl. So Danielle and her friend are fighting with these other two
- 44:43women. I think you just did the stories. You could talk about a
- 44:45bunch of women. Did they throw jello on them? Like? What did
- 44:47they do? Now? They were just throwing down the middle casino floor and
- 44:51it's just ridiculous. Oh and then the best part is, well we already
- 44:54said the best part. They're fighting over a man who's not even asn't at
- 45:00the brawl. It's just that the wife saw the one girl, so she's
- 45:06like, Hey, we're gonna mess with this girl who's having sex with What
- 45:08are the odds of them seeing You think the girl was there to meet up
- 45:12with the husband. I don't, Well, there was a poker tournament going
- 45:15on the wind, so I don't know if the husband was in the poker
- 45:16tournament and he was playing poker, and these women are just brawling on the
- 45:21floor because one saw the other one who cares like, it's not worth it,
- 45:24ladies, just let him, let her have him, just leaving,
