- 1:52Speaker 1: of Disguise Coverage, this late night, Saturday night edition of
- 1:56Speaker 1: Disguised Coverage, we will be diving in to the Buffalo
- 2:00Speaker 1: Bills Blue and Red Scrimmage which I attended tonight. As
- 2:03Speaker 1: I discussed on the Blue and Red Scrimmage preview episode
- 2:06Speaker 1: which we did last night, was in attendance tonight. Saw
- 2:10Speaker 1: some cool stadium stuff, saw some cool practice stuff, saw
- 2:14Speaker 1: some cool standouts some players, some stock up, some stock downs,
- 2:18Speaker 1: maybe some worries, some injury things. So we're going to
- 2:21Speaker 1: dive into all of it, you know, first impressions of
- 2:23Speaker 1: the stadium, what we saw on the field, and then
- 2:27Speaker 1: of course, as we do here on the show, I
- 2:29Speaker 1: like to make this as engagement focused and heavy as possible.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Everybody who's watching live and in the chat questions, thoughts, comments, concerns,
- 2:37Speaker 1: anything in everything you folks, if you're tuning in live,
- 2:41Speaker 1: may have on your mind put into the chat a
- 2:43Speaker 1: certain player, a certain side of the ball, something you saw,
- 2:46Speaker 1: something you heard about. I was the first comment in
- 2:49Speaker 1: here already is this is a k EO channel. Now
- 2:52Speaker 1: me and Kleb b Arms or this is a KO
- 2:54Speaker 1: channel now, yeah, fair enough. Yeah, So if it's a
- 2:57Speaker 1: certain player that you saw a highlight of and you
- 2:59Speaker 1: want to know that's what he looked like for the
- 3:02Speaker 1: whole day, or somebody you didn't hear a lot about
- 3:04Speaker 1: or didn't see a lot about, or anything and everything, questions, thoughts, comments, concerns,
- 3:08Speaker 1: anything on your mind.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Put it into the chat.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It's it will also be helpful for this episode to
- 3:14Speaker 1: kind of go and part of things and move forward.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I essentially went to the scrimmage, stayed for the whole thing,
- 3:21Speaker 1: got back home, showered. I'm exhausted, I want to eat.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I have a headache trying to get rid of that.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So anything to kind of push me through questions, thoughts, engagement,
- 3:33Speaker 1: back and forth, it'll be It'll be helpful as I
- 3:37Speaker 1: power through right now. But yeah, I appreciate everybody to tune
- 3:40Speaker 1: it in live. Anything you got, put it into the chat,
- 3:42Speaker 1: smashed that like button if you are willing and able.
- 3:44Speaker 1: We already got a comment about Caleb E. Larms or
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'm gonna switch the banner. Actually no, I'm not gonna
- 3:49Speaker 1: switch the banner yet, Devin says, is there a chance.
- 3:52Speaker 1: The receiving room is simply is simply good enough. Seems
- 3:55Speaker 1: everyone slots in pretty well with more in this point. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I think I think that was the big bonus of
- 4:01Speaker 1: DJ Moore, right, you know, and I've said this all
- 4:04Speaker 1: off season. I thought the compensation form between the draft
- 4:07Speaker 1: capital and the financial capital, I thought that diminished the
- 4:10Speaker 1: value a little bit. But that's a separate conversation pure
- 4:15Speaker 1: on the field player. You added DJ Moore is a
- 4:19Speaker 1: clear upgrade in the wide receiver room versus last year.
- 4:21Speaker 1: And yes, you can kind of take the low hanging
- 4:23Speaker 1: fruit and be like, well, yeah, anybody would kind of
- 4:25Speaker 1: be an upgrade, ha ha ha.
- 4:27Speaker 3: But exactly what you said here I think is spot on.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Like adding DJ Moore allows everyone else to slot in
- 4:32Speaker 1: pretty well. DJ Moore is now at the top of
- 4:35Speaker 1: your depth chart. He's your one. Things open up a
- 4:37Speaker 1: little bit more. And again it's not just having him there,
- 4:40Speaker 1: it's what his skill set is. So that vertical stretch,
- 4:44Speaker 1: that horizontal stretch, that athleticism, the ability to make some
- 4:47Speaker 1: plays downfield or just stretch the field. Poll guys with him,
- 4:51Speaker 1: and you can do some underneath stuff too. Gadget aspect
- 4:53Speaker 1: run after catch all of that, you know, his presence
- 4:57Speaker 1: there opens things up a little more for friqually O
- 5:00Speaker 1: Shakir right, and Khalis Shakir, I think is the wide
- 5:02Speaker 1: receiver two on this team, even though you know he's
- 5:04Speaker 1: a slot how you you know where you ranked that?
- 5:06Speaker 1: But DJ Moore is your one, Khalis Shakir is your two.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Now Josh Palmer's your three. I think that's a fine
- 5:13Speaker 1: top three considering the run game the Bills have and
- 5:16Speaker 1: the tight end room that the Bills have. And then
- 5:19Speaker 1: you know, sorry, I'm moving around too much, but the
- 5:21Speaker 1: camera of focus and then you know, is Keon Coleman
- 5:24Speaker 1: your wide receiver four? Or even if the key On Coleman, uh,
- 5:29Speaker 1: you know, balls out and becomes wide receiver three, Josh
- 5:31Speaker 1: Palmer's your wide receiver four.
- 5:32Speaker 3: Maybe it's Skyler Bell.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It just yeah, it allows everyone else to slot in.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I don't think this receiving room is a stud unit.
- 5:39Speaker 1: If I had to rank them, which myself and Kenel
- 5:41Speaker 1: Mursky did earlier this offseason, I'd put him somewhere in
- 5:44Speaker 1: the middle of the pack, somewhere between like sixteen to
- 5:47Speaker 1: twenty in that range, which again I think is fine.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I know that doesn't sound sexy. I think that's fine,
- 5:54Speaker 1: especially if Dalton Kincaid stays healthy, which is a fair question.
- 5:58Speaker 1: But with this running game, you just need a middling
- 6:02Speaker 1: wide receiver room and that should be good enough. And
- 6:04Speaker 1: the thing with DJ Moore that matters the most is
- 6:07Speaker 1: the stretch ability. We've talked about in the show for years.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Whoever's at the top of the depth chart has to
- 6:14Speaker 1: have the ability to stretch the defense vertically and horizontally.
- 6:17Speaker 1: That was my biggest thing with Josh Palmer last year
- 6:18Speaker 1: Josh Palmer was coming in, it was essentially kind of
- 6:21Speaker 1: like wide receiver one, and not only is he not
- 6:24Speaker 1: built for that, but I didn't think he had enough
- 6:26Speaker 1: vertical stretch to his game, or stretch to his game period.
- 6:29Speaker 1: And I know a lot of people talked about, you know,
- 6:33Speaker 1: the metrics and how good of a deep threat he was.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I didn't think the tape spoke to that.
- 6:36Speaker 1: I think it, you know, spoke to kind of some
- 6:38Speaker 1: blown coverages and some scheme stuff. Although I do like
- 6:40Speaker 1: Josh Palmer, I do think he's a good route runner,
- 6:42Speaker 1: all of that kind of stuff, But yeah, I do
- 6:45Speaker 1: think there you know, is there a chance. I think
- 6:46Speaker 1: there's a good chance this receiving room is simply good enough,
- 6:50Speaker 1: and I think DJ Moore has a good opportunity to
- 6:52Speaker 1: produce some you know, potential. I don't want to say
- 6:54Speaker 1: eye popping stats, but some good numbers.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Easiest way I could put it.
- 7:00Speaker 1: I think Dj Moore would be a really solid fantasy
- 7:03Speaker 1: wide receiver too this year because he's gonna get a
- 7:07Speaker 1: good chunk of targets and maybe some downfield stuff, as
- 7:12Speaker 1: maybe tonight and training camp have indicated. I've seen some
- 7:15Speaker 1: comments already come through from injury stuff. I saw things
- 7:19Speaker 1: happen at I'm gonna throw up the banner now officially
- 7:22Speaker 1: saying Bill's blue and Red scrimmagery cap and reaction. I
- 7:24Speaker 1: saw things happen physically in person, obviously. I saw Ty
- 7:28Speaker 1: Johnson go down in one on ones and then Joe
- 7:30Speaker 1: Brady came out right away. And actually, before I say
- 7:34Speaker 1: all that, I see people mention stuff in the chat
- 7:36Speaker 1: about the injuries.
- 7:37Speaker 3: If there are more injuries, or if there's news, social.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Media stuff anything that I have not picked up on,
- 7:41Speaker 1: feel free to put it up into the chat. If
- 7:43Speaker 1: there has been anything on Ty Johnson, anything on Connor McGovern,
- 7:46Speaker 1: anybody anything on anybody else, as Kamorey said, yeah, players
- 7:49Speaker 1: got hurt teared on the stadium. Yeah, essentially, after you know,
- 7:56Speaker 1: warm ups and some special team stuff and things, they
- 7:59Speaker 1: started doing one on ones from a pass catching standpoint,
- 8:02Speaker 1: so like corners versus wide receivers, and some safeties versus
- 8:04Speaker 1: tight ends, running backs and linebackers and stuff. And Ty
- 8:08Speaker 1: Johnson runs a wheel route and I forget who he
- 8:12Speaker 1: was going up against, but it's just kind of like
- 8:14Speaker 1: a contested catch and he comes down and he stays down.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Joe Brady comes over.
- 8:19Speaker 1: As soon as Joe Brady comes over to Ty Johnson,
- 8:22Speaker 1: he says something to him and then Brady starts waving everybody.
- 8:26Speaker 1: So like essentially they were running that drill on this
- 8:29Speaker 1: side of the field. Brady as soon as he talks
- 8:31Speaker 1: to Ty Johnson, he's immediately like everybody moved to the
- 8:34Speaker 1: other side of the field. Trainers come out. Ty Johnson's
- 8:36Speaker 1: sitting on the ground. He's not pleased, and eventually he
- 8:40Speaker 1: leaves the field, but they move the entire drill to
- 8:42Speaker 1: the other side of the field because as soon as
- 8:44Speaker 1: Brady spoke to Ty Johnson, I don't know what Tye
- 8:47Speaker 1: said to him or you know what. But essentially it
- 8:49Speaker 1: was like, oh, he ain't moving for a while, let's
- 8:52Speaker 1: go somewhere else. And then in team I think kind
- 8:57Speaker 1: of government went down on literally the first play and
- 8:59Speaker 1: then stays behind in the play.
- 9:00Speaker 3: I didn't see him go down.
- 9:02Speaker 1: What I saw was Cedric van pran Grainger in its center,
- 9:06Speaker 1: and I was confused, and so then I was like, oh,
- 9:10Speaker 1: where's McGovern And then I noticed McGovern limping off, but
- 9:15Speaker 1: walking off the field with trainers, so he went down
- 9:18Speaker 1: as well. Appreciate John Roberts saying no updates on the
- 9:22Speaker 1: injuries yet, so yeah, little oh, I gotta stop. We
- 9:25Speaker 1: got a super chat. Oh we're in in season mode.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Super chats get priority. Uh, thank you very much Andrew
- 9:29Speaker 1: for being here. Thank you very much for the super chat.
- 9:31Speaker 1: I appreciate you. Andrew says thoughts on the defense schematically tonight.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Do we have a better sense of what they want
- 9:37Speaker 1: to look like this year? I think from a coverage standpoint, yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: you know, we saw more match coverage elements in real time,
- 9:47Speaker 1: you know, including one that uh, you know, kind of
- 9:50Speaker 1: bit the Bills defense a little bit there. I Uh,
- 9:55Speaker 1: I posted the deep shot to DJ Moore from team,
- 10:01Speaker 1: but essentially it's Cover eight and DJ Moore is two,
- 10:05Speaker 1: that is the single receiver.
- 10:07Speaker 3: It's a three by one.
- 10:08Speaker 1: He's the single receiver, and Christian Benford essentially has him
- 10:11Speaker 1: locked one on one, which we've seen the Bills do before,
- 10:13Speaker 1: and a lot of teams are doing now, whether it's
- 10:15Speaker 1: even if it's Cover three, cover four, teams will lock
- 10:17Speaker 1: the backside running back end solo wide receiver, and Cole
- 10:23Speaker 1: Bishop is the quarter safety inside of Benford, and Bishop
- 10:28Speaker 1: sees a dig come from the other side of the
- 10:31Speaker 1: field from Keon Coleman. He nails down on that dig
- 10:35Speaker 1: from Keon Coleman, and as he does that, Dj Moore
- 10:39Speaker 1: stems his route late like he's going towards the sideline,
- 10:43Speaker 1: just gets Benford to turn and open up a little outside.
- 10:46Speaker 1: And as Benford does that, Dj Moore slips back underneath
- 10:49Speaker 1: him on like a skinny post, and then Allen fires
- 10:53Speaker 1: it to him because Benford has been beaten inside and
- 10:58Speaker 1: Cole Bishop nailed down on the dig, so now the
- 11:00Speaker 1: middle of the field is open and Alan hits him.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I use that coverage example to talk about just more
- 11:06Speaker 1: of the match coverage elements we are seeing we're seeing
- 11:08Speaker 1: in single high coverages, we're seeing it in two high structures.
- 11:11Speaker 3: I am very excited for that.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Now that doesn't mean they're invincible, but I think match
- 11:17Speaker 1: coverage is the way to go.
- 11:18Speaker 3: It's been for a while.
- 11:19Speaker 1: It sure beats the hell out of regular spot drop
- 11:23Speaker 1: country zone where you're just mad. In coverage style, let's
- 11:25Speaker 1: get to a landmark and sit there and see what happens.
- 11:29Speaker 3: So yeah, I think we're gonna get more single high stuff.
- 11:33Speaker 1: There's a lot of what we talked about this offseason,
- 11:35Speaker 1: what we started to see in camp, but I do
- 11:36Speaker 1: think tonight kind of put it more, especially where I
- 11:39Speaker 1: was sitting shout out to Adam Pencil again from Cover
- 11:44Speaker 1: one for give me his seats. Tonight, I was in
- 11:49Speaker 1: the end zone, almost dead center, from like an All
- 11:52Speaker 1: twenty two film angle spot. It was phenomenal that I
- 11:55Speaker 1: wish I could watch all football games from this angle
- 11:57Speaker 1: in this view. So it was really cool to kind
- 11:59Speaker 1: of see these coverage structures take shape in real time.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And again, match coverages man coverage a lot more sticky stickiness.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Guy's not taking the bait on stuff. We saw that
- 12:12Speaker 1: on the d Alford interception. Which was really funny because
- 12:14Speaker 1: he like came on to the field late and has
- 12:17Speaker 1: to run to the other side of the field and
- 12:18Speaker 1: get to a spot and they're communicating on the fly
- 12:21Speaker 1: and he drops into the flat and DJ Moore is
- 12:23Speaker 1: underneath him, but he doesn't he doesn't nail down on it.
- 12:26Speaker 1: He keeps sinking and then drops and intercepts Josh Allen.
- 12:29Speaker 3: It was.
- 12:29Speaker 1: It was pure chaos, all in a moment for all
- 12:32Speaker 1: for running out of the field realizing they were short
- 12:34Speaker 1: and he was supposed to be out there and then
- 12:36Speaker 1: it turns into an interception.
- 12:38Speaker 3: I also posted that on my socials in case anyone cares.
- 12:42Speaker 1: But yeah, I think we are starting to get a
- 12:43Speaker 1: better sense of what they want to look like this year,
- 12:45Speaker 1: and that is more match coverage, more man coverage, squeezing routes,
- 12:50Speaker 1: choking routes, restricting airspace, and good spatial awareness.
- 12:55Speaker 3: I think.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Because you're you're just seeing plays on the ball because
- 13:00Speaker 1: guys are around the ball and it's not just like, oh,
- 13:03Speaker 1: well because they're athletic or all because they're playing man.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I think the spatial awareness and the coaching and the
- 13:08Speaker 1: understanding is there, but again they can still get got
- 13:12Speaker 1: at times, which they did on several occasions tonight. But yeah,
- 13:15Speaker 1: I do think we are getting a better sense of
- 13:16Speaker 1: what they want to look like this year. My next thing,
- 13:19Speaker 1: and I don't think we're going to really see until
- 13:20Speaker 1: the regular season. I do want to see what they
- 13:22Speaker 1: look like from a front perspective, in terms of, you know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: how much base personnel versus Nickel or A they gonna
- 13:28Speaker 1: end up playing. I think base personnel, you know, the
- 13:31Speaker 1: big heavies on defense, we probably end up being I
- 13:33Speaker 1: think somewhere between twenty and twenty five percent, but you know,
- 13:37Speaker 1: simulated pressures, creeper pressures, run blitzes, traditional blitzes, all that
- 13:41Speaker 1: kind of stuff. I don't think we're really going to
- 13:43Speaker 1: see that until the regular season. But yes, I do
- 13:46Speaker 1: think schematically tonight we got more of a look, another
- 13:50Speaker 1: big breadcrumb towards what we think they're going to be
- 13:52Speaker 1: this year, and I.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Was encouraged by it. I wanted to grab that.
- 13:56Speaker 1: All right, let me go back, says did you have
- 14:00Speaker 1: the nachos? The cheese was a big topic on wg
- 14:03Speaker 1: RCH and I would like to know all jokes aside.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Why was the cheese a big topic? I did not
- 14:07Speaker 1: get the nachos. Wife and I got a couple of
- 14:11Speaker 1: drinks and then got.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Some burgers. That was.
- 14:16Speaker 1: Food was good, drinks were good, did not get the nachos.
- 14:19Speaker 1: So now I kind of want to know what's up.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Dirty Jersey says word. Conner will miss extensive time. Yeah,
- 14:24Speaker 1: he he walked off the field with trainers, but he
- 14:31Speaker 1: he walked off in a way that he looked uncomfortable
- 14:34Speaker 1: and like he didn't have a lot of flexibility or
- 14:36Speaker 1: movement in his leg. I'm sure we'll get more information
- 14:38Speaker 1: as the weekend goes long, or maybe not because you know,
- 14:40Speaker 1: maybe they'll kind of keep it close to the best
- 14:41Speaker 1: because it's not the regular season. But yeah, not great
- 14:46Speaker 1: coming here this As I heard Kean beat Benford bad.
- 14:50Speaker 1: DJ Moore got him, but again that was it was
- 14:53Speaker 1: a function of both. That play that I talked about
- 14:55Speaker 1: more got him to open up inside and then brought
- 14:57Speaker 1: it back inside. But also cold Bishop nailed down on
- 15:00Speaker 1: the dig, so Benford lost his support on the inside.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Also, I should say on that play.
- 15:06Speaker 1: TJ Sanders beat Austin Corbett and it would have been
- 15:09Speaker 1: a sack if if we were if it was live bullets,
- 15:13Speaker 1: it would have been a sack. So I ended up
- 15:14Speaker 1: being a deep shot, which was sweet, but it would
- 15:16Speaker 1: have been a sack. It doesn't change the fact that
- 15:18Speaker 1: you know, the coverage structure still got beat by the
- 15:20Speaker 1: route distribution or the route concept. But Sanders beat Corbett
- 15:24Speaker 1: on that play and essentially had a sack and had
- 15:27Speaker 1: ed Oliver was kind of coming in as well. They
- 15:30Speaker 1: that play kind of going into the super check question
- 15:33Speaker 1: as well. Five down front traditionally, so I think it
- 15:37Speaker 1: was Groot, Sanders, Walker.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Ed.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I think Chubb on the other side.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Ed ran like a little twist off of Walker the
- 15:49Speaker 1: nose and kind of looped around through the opposite A
- 15:53Speaker 1: gap and then Sanders beat Corbett across his face and inside.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Sanders came in essentially cleaning through.
- 16:01Speaker 1: The A gap and got alan ed Oliver was also
- 16:06Speaker 1: looping and coming through the A gap and was kind
- 16:08Speaker 1: of barreling down a little bit as well. Groot was
- 16:11Speaker 1: the one of the five down who dropped into coverage.
- 16:13Speaker 1: He went to the flat to the uh the quarter
- 16:18Speaker 1: side of cover eight on that play. Keon had a
- 16:22Speaker 1: good rep against Keon beat someone good. Oh, I think
- 16:29Speaker 1: it was Torriana Pride, but he had a rep in.
- 16:32Speaker 1: I think it was one on ones where he stems
- 16:34Speaker 1: inside and he wants to get back outside and Pride
- 16:37Speaker 1: I think it was Pride is right attached to his
- 16:39Speaker 1: hip and Keon essentially like hump move like breaks down
- 16:43Speaker 1: and he wants to break out, and he essentially just
- 16:45Speaker 1: chucked Pride inside like defensive end like Reggie White hump
- 16:49Speaker 1: move style, clubs him inside and snaps it back out.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Keon looked good with his movements.
- 16:55Speaker 1: Uh tonight and again on that big shot to DJ
- 16:57Speaker 1: Moore that I was talking of out that only happens
- 17:01Speaker 1: because Cole Bishop nails down on the dig from Keon.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Granted it's more scheme and concept than is what Keon
- 17:06Speaker 1: was doing. I didn't see Keon beat Benford straight, but
- 17:12Speaker 1: I may miss it, that's possible. I did not see
- 17:15Speaker 1: if Cole Bishop got hurt. That was one that I
- 17:16Speaker 1: did not hear our thing. I don't know if this
- 17:20Speaker 1: is a joke or not from raelver raelse a smaller
- 17:22Speaker 1: video boards compared to the original high Mark.
- 17:24Speaker 3: They're the one in whatever.
- 17:26Speaker 1: End zone it is. I don't know if we're talking,
- 17:27Speaker 1: probably the north end zone. I think if I had
- 17:29Speaker 1: to classify.
- 17:30Speaker 3: It, yeah, is huge, Like I think it's probably a joke.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah, there's the one scoreboard is absolutely massive, absolutely absolutely massive.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Question for Rob. Rob says, who do you think it's
- 17:42Speaker 1: the right guard spot? And what do you think about
- 17:44Speaker 1: the injuries? I'm assuming to me left guard spot.
- 17:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 17:50Speaker 1: Corbett started tonight, come to think about it, and see
- 17:54Speaker 1: Alec Anderson much so I either wasn't looking or he
- 17:57Speaker 1: wasn't out there, kind of like a Max Harrison situation.
- 18:02Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I'm torn because Anderson kind of gives you the physicality
- 18:05Speaker 1: and the nastiness and a little bit of juice in
- 18:06Speaker 1: the run game, and Corbett is more of like a
- 18:08Speaker 1: high floor guy who does everything well across the board,
- 18:12Speaker 1: but well, he does everything well across the boards like
- 18:14Speaker 1: a guy who does everything is like a six and
- 18:16Speaker 1: a half out of ten. My issue is every time
- 18:19Speaker 1: I feel like I've focused on Corbett, he's gotten beat.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Two of those times were by TJ. Sanders, once in
- 18:25Speaker 1: camp and once tonight on the playoffs, rumplessing earlier and
- 18:30Speaker 1: then false starts and stuff. I didn't love Corbett's tape
- 18:33Speaker 1: in Carolina. Technically, Anderson's like the incumbent, but it's a
- 18:37Speaker 1: new offensive line coach, and Corbett does have a ton
- 18:40Speaker 1: of snaps. If I had to bet who gets the
- 18:43Speaker 1: left guard spot right now, I think I think I
- 18:48Speaker 1: would go Corbett. And I don't like that answer, but
- 18:51Speaker 1: I don't know if I really like that in general.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Soup de Loop says, was there anything noticeable about post
- 18:58Speaker 1: huddle communication on deep with Bernard being at Will? No,
- 19:03Speaker 1: because I think even though Bernard was at Will tonight,
- 19:06Speaker 1: which he was, that's a little note that has continued.
- 19:08Speaker 1: I talked about that a ton coming out of day
- 19:10Speaker 1: three of Bill's camp the previous in the previous week
- 19:13Speaker 1: or the first week, it was, you know, Dorian at
- 19:17Speaker 1: Mike and Bernard at Will, and then with the second unit,
- 19:21Speaker 1: cayleb e larns Or was at Mike, Yanton Jenkins was
- 19:24Speaker 1: at Will, and then e Or was getting paired with
- 19:27Speaker 1: some other linebackers too. But those linebackers are also at
- 19:29Speaker 1: Will while e Or stayed at Mike. But no, you know,
- 19:32Speaker 1: Bernard's still calling communicating. I don't think I think we
- 19:36Speaker 1: have to get granted in someone understandable, but I think
- 19:39Speaker 1: we have to get away a little bit from the
- 19:41Speaker 1: notion of the Mike has to be the guy who
- 19:45Speaker 1: calls the play in the huddle, and the mic has
- 19:47Speaker 1: to be the one who communicates. I'd like the biggest
- 19:50Speaker 1: communicators for me throughout camp and even tonight a bit was,
- 19:53Speaker 1: you know Chauncey Gardner Johnson like his communications constant de
- 19:56Speaker 1: Alford is another big one too. But no, just I
- 19:59Speaker 1: think you know, Bernard move into Will. No, I I
- 20:03Speaker 1: haven't noticed anything noticeable, and I wouldn't expect to. He's
- 20:05Speaker 1: going to communicate just as much as he did before,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and his assignments get a little easier if he stays
- 20:12Speaker 1: at Will. Like again, if we're talking about you know,
- 20:14Speaker 1: three by one from an offense, if he's to the
- 20:18Speaker 1: weak side, so he's to that solo wide receiver side,
- 20:22Speaker 1: if the running back is also to his side, his
- 20:24Speaker 1: job is I don't know why I said it, like that,
- 20:26Speaker 1: his job is largely easy, where most of the time
- 20:29Speaker 1: he can just lock onto that back. And so I
- 20:32Speaker 1: think given that some of his mental load post snap
- 20:37Speaker 1: might be easier, I think it helps him kind of
- 20:40Speaker 1: pre snap be able to do a whole bunch more
- 20:43Speaker 1: and not have to worry about being in the right
- 20:44Speaker 1: spot to do this. Exact thing at the exact right
- 20:47Speaker 1: time and all these things. So no, I don't think
- 20:49Speaker 1: anything nothing noticeably different with Bernard being a well, I
- 20:53Speaker 1: think he's going to be the same communicator and.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Processor that he was previously.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Rob as Benford was getting up burnt by DJ Moorey, yeah,
- 21:02Speaker 1: again that's a little bit. It's the coverage, right, if
- 21:05Speaker 1: you're Christian Benford, you know, you know you're locked on that.
- 21:08Speaker 1: With what I'm imagining based on what I saw there,
- 21:12Speaker 1: Benford would be locked on DJ Moore there, but he's
- 21:17Speaker 1: still got help inside from that quarter safety.
- 21:20Speaker 3: I don't think, you know, it's funny.
- 21:21Speaker 1: I'm acting like I can't. I don't want to necessarily
- 21:24Speaker 1: do it completely.
- 21:24Speaker 3: But as I go.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Through, let's see, I'm trying to find that play of
- 21:31Speaker 1: when it happened.
- 21:34Speaker 3: Nope, that's not it. That's not it.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Is it this one? Nope, it's not this one. I think,
- 21:38Speaker 1: is it this one? I can't help it is this one? Yeah,
- 21:45Speaker 1: I think Benford is just straight locked on DJ Moore.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I don't even necessarily think it's like yeah, and Bishop
- 21:53Speaker 1: is more just a true quarter safety. I didn't know
- 21:55Speaker 1: if he was like poaching or playing as a trick
- 21:57Speaker 1: safety looking for, you know, something to kind of rob
- 22:02Speaker 1: or steal from the trip side, which ended up being uh,
- 22:08Speaker 1: you know, kind of like a four strong look pre snap.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I'm looking at it right now on my phone. But
- 22:14Speaker 1: if you're Benford, you're thinking you might still have help
- 22:16Speaker 1: inside a little bit. But if you're locked on, it's
- 22:18Speaker 1: still your manning your responsibility. Yeah, I would say More
- 22:20Speaker 1: got him. Benford also, you know, had More a little
- 22:23Speaker 1: bit in one on ones early. He kind of locked
- 22:25Speaker 1: him up, pressed him at the line, got physical. I
- 22:29Speaker 1: think what we saw with on this play where Benford got,
- 22:32Speaker 1: you know, beat DJ Moore against corners who are playing
- 22:40Speaker 1: off with his speed. If you give him a runway
- 22:44Speaker 1: and then all he has to do is like fake outside,
- 22:47Speaker 1: stab back inside. If you're not going to obstruct him
- 22:49Speaker 1: in any way, shape or form and give him a runway,
- 22:51Speaker 1: it's gonna be tough to cover DJ Moore. Granted, Benford's
- 22:55Speaker 1: not like the fastest guy, but I think that could
- 22:56Speaker 1: happened to a bunch of dudes. Yeah, Rob says guard
- 23:00Speaker 1: I men who gets the left guard position? Yep, I
- 23:01Speaker 1: got you, I gotcha, I got you.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Uh.
- 23:05Speaker 3: Question here from Harachu says.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Would you say good decision making would beat last year's coverage,
- 23:11Speaker 1: while good plays throws will beat this year's coverage. Yes,
- 23:15Speaker 1: I think that's a fair way to put it. This
- 23:17Speaker 1: year you are again his play. I feel like I'm
- 23:22Speaker 1: talking about this play like every single segment here, this
- 23:24Speaker 1: play that I was talking about, you know, the deep
- 23:26Speaker 1: shot to DJ Moore, Right, that play worked because DJ
- 23:31Speaker 1: Moore did something good, right, and then the concept worked
- 23:36Speaker 1: against that coverage. Cole Bishop nailed down on the dig
- 23:40Speaker 1: and so there was space behind him and over the
- 23:42Speaker 1: top of him for Alan to hit. More So there
- 23:45Speaker 1: were a lot of things that had to go right.
- 23:47Speaker 1: And again, technically that should have even mattered because TJ.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Sanders beat Corbett and again it would have been a sack.
- 23:52Speaker 1: But for the sake of conversation here, yeah, I do
- 23:54Speaker 1: think like, if you're gonna beat the Bills coverage this year,
- 23:57Speaker 1: it's because man, what a throw, man, what a catch,
- 24:01Speaker 1: or you know, somebody just got beat one on one.
- 24:03Speaker 1: It is what it is, and that's gonna happen from
- 24:05Speaker 1: time to time, right, especially if you don't have absolute
- 24:07Speaker 1: studs at your dB spot or on your defense in general.
- 24:12Speaker 1: But yeah, I think this year it'll be more. I
- 24:16Speaker 1: do think it'll be more you know, offenses beating the
- 24:19Speaker 1: Bills defense.
- 24:20Speaker 3: And it could be in a lot of ways.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:21Speaker 1: It could mean somebody loses individually. It could be the
- 24:25Speaker 1: right concept for the right coverage that works against it,
- 24:29Speaker 1: because every you know, everything has an answer to it,
- 24:32Speaker 1: everything has a weakness and something that can beat it.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Or it could be a miscommunication, especially if you're playing
- 24:36Speaker 1: match coverage stuff. Right, everybody's got to see the same
- 24:38Speaker 1: thing at the same time. And if you see A
- 24:42Speaker 1: and I see B, right, we.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Do two different things.
- 24:45Speaker 1: And if you're expecting help from me now, all of
- 24:46Speaker 1: a sudden, you don't got that help because I saw
- 24:48Speaker 1: something else. Or even if I see A and you
- 24:51Speaker 1: see A, but I see it late or you see
- 24:52Speaker 1: it late, that can happen as well. But yeah, I
- 24:55Speaker 1: think it'll be some kind of you know, now unforced errors,
- 25:00Speaker 1: but some forced errors, some human error on the Bills
- 25:03Speaker 1: from time to time. But I do think, you know,
- 25:05Speaker 1: there will be this year, it'll be more like good
- 25:08Speaker 1: plays or throws beating this year's coverage.
- 25:10Speaker 3: I like that.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Oh. John Robertson's rumor is a hamstring for connormc governor.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I didn't this in the second and I'm late in
- 25:17Speaker 1: the comments now because i'm going through Bishop hurt as well. Oh,
- 25:20Speaker 1: Bishop went back out after practice and signed autographs, so
- 25:23Speaker 1: the usually don't do that if they're hurt from swiming.
- 25:24Speaker 3: He's fine.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I did not see Bishop go down, so I'm
- 25:27Speaker 1: interested if there was anything happening there. What's up? Hard
- 25:31Speaker 1: Jarry says, Keon could have legit superpowers during the preseason.
- 25:33Speaker 1: I still wouldn't trusted until I see it in the
- 25:35Speaker 1: week two. That's fair, John Robert. There he is saying
- 25:38Speaker 1: Cole Bishop went to the locker room early, not said
- 25:41Speaker 1: if injured, but he did not return.
- 25:43Speaker 3: That's fair. Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 1: And then going into tonight, no, Max Harston and then
- 25:47Speaker 1: McGovern went down literally I think on the first play
- 25:50Speaker 1: off team, Ty Johnson went down early and one on ones.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Excellent comment here from Andy. Andy says, did you use
- 26:00Speaker 1: the Wi Fi and how good was it? I did
- 26:02Speaker 1: use the Wi Fi. It was immaculate. I was very pleased.
- 26:06Speaker 1: It was very good. I was very happy. I even
- 26:09Speaker 1: just regularly I had fine.
- 26:14Speaker 3: Service. I think for the most part.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Once I got into the stadium, which I didn't in
- 26:17Speaker 1: the previous stadium. But yeah, the WiFi is super legit.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I was pleased. I was pleased. I was pleased.
- 26:23Speaker 3: I was pleased.
- 26:25Speaker 1: Bum even says, noticing the noticeable is why I tune
- 26:31Speaker 1: into this program.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I appreciate it.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Slim says, tell me Dolman look good punting in the downpour.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah, he did pump well. Yeah, and it was a
- 26:38Speaker 3: legit downpour.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I would say from like like seven twenty seven forty
- 26:43Speaker 1: it was a legit.
- 26:43Speaker 3: It just poured. Poor port.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Blake, he says. I saw a lot of people say, uh,
- 26:51Speaker 1: CB made plays. Joe Brady commented about the amount of
- 26:54Speaker 1: place CEB made. I'm assuming you just me and Christian
- 26:56Speaker 1: Bedford and not the dbi's as a whole. But yeah,
- 26:58Speaker 1: Benford made some good plays, especially in one on one.
- 27:02Speaker 1: You know, I even felt bad posting the deep shot
- 27:05Speaker 1: the more because I was like, man, I think I
- 27:09Speaker 1: think a lot of people are going to be like, oh,
- 27:11Speaker 1: Benford got burned.
- 27:12Speaker 3: You know, you're not good to do.
- 27:13Speaker 1: This and that, And I was like, oh, but yeah,
- 27:15Speaker 1: I think Benford was fine most of the day. Jadon
- 27:18Speaker 1: Kilgore had a nice play, a nice pass breakup on
- 27:22Speaker 1: this one was cool too, And this isn't necessarily related
- 27:24Speaker 1: to Benford, but.
- 27:26Speaker 3: It was a part of me.
- 27:28Speaker 1: For close my eyes. I'm trying to remember the play
- 27:30Speaker 1: kill Gore. It's in my phone. I didn't post it,
- 27:32Speaker 1: and I don't want to go back and look at
- 27:33Speaker 1: my phone cause I feel it's true because I'm not
- 27:34Speaker 1: looking at the camera. They motion man goes across the formation,
- 27:40Speaker 1: and so kill Gore is traveling with him, and it
- 27:43Speaker 1: looks like they're about to rock and roll the safeties
- 27:45Speaker 1: and whoever is the other safety with kill Gore is
- 27:47Speaker 1: going to drop down on the other side because it's
- 27:49Speaker 1: about to become a three by one, and then kill
- 27:51Speaker 1: Gore is going to become the single high post safety
- 27:54Speaker 1: because they're gonna run cover three. But the motion man,
- 27:56Speaker 1: as soon as he gets to about the left tackle,
- 27:58Speaker 1: slams on the brakes and speeds it back the other way.
- 28:01Speaker 1: So kill Gore slams on the brakes kind of falls
- 28:04Speaker 1: down a little bit. That communicates to the other safety
- 28:07Speaker 1: in the defense they go back to what they were
- 28:09Speaker 1: originally doing. Kill Gore is now the down safety with
- 28:13Speaker 1: the other safety as the single high post safety in
- 28:15Speaker 1: cover three, and then kill Gore matches the route from
- 28:18Speaker 1: the slot, undercuts it, punches through the hands. I think
- 28:21Speaker 1: it was Trent Sherfield because I remember seeing eighty one
- 28:23Speaker 1: punches through the hands and the body and breaks it up.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So there were some good plays from the DBS tonight
- 28:29Speaker 1: again Alfred's interception, this pass break up from kill Gore.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Benford had some nice plays an individual, but yeah, I
- 28:35Speaker 1: think Benford did have some spots.
- 28:38Speaker 3: How did Dion Walker look today?
- 28:40Speaker 1: My biggest takeaway from him.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Because I mean, he wasn't in too much.
- 28:45Speaker 1: He had a and I said this on Twitter when
- 28:48Speaker 1: I posted in general on Twitter and Blue Sky he
- 28:50Speaker 1: had a significantly decent brace and wrap on his arm.
- 28:54Speaker 3: I took a picture of it. I posted it.
- 28:57Speaker 1: You can see that typical like elbow brace, the one
- 28:59Speaker 1: that kind of looks like the one you get forel
- 29:01Speaker 1: like a knee where it's got like the two circle
- 29:03Speaker 1: spots here to kind of keep the joint in place.
- 29:06Speaker 1: And then it was wrapped all the way from his
- 29:08Speaker 1: forearm all the way up to his bicep. So pretty
- 29:12Speaker 1: heavy duty rap. Sin say heavy duty, I would say
- 29:14Speaker 1: aain significantly serious. I don't know, you know the details
- 29:18Speaker 1: of the brace and the wrap. But yeah, that but
- 29:22Speaker 1: it's hard to see that and wrap and not notice it.
- 29:26Speaker 1: But from a production standpoint, it didn't seem like I
- 29:28Speaker 1: didn't see too much of him either way. I don't
- 29:31Speaker 1: think he got a ton of burn tonight with the elbow.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Do I think the secondary will be good? Relatively speaking? Yes,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I think the secondary will be fine. If the Bill's
- 29:41Speaker 1: defense has problems this year, I don't think you know
- 29:44Speaker 1: no jinx on this. If the Bill's defense has problems
- 29:47Speaker 1: this year or has a down year, I don't think
- 29:49Speaker 1: it'll be due to the secondary. If the Bills struggle,
- 29:55Speaker 1: for me, it's because our worst fears happened up front
- 29:58Speaker 1: between the defensive line and the lineback. Core Ky Moys
- 30:04Speaker 1: has a Kean shows out in Week one. That's all
- 30:05Speaker 1: I need because that means he showed out against the
- 30:07Speaker 1: seconds text sincerity, that's fair, That's fair. Luke says k
- 30:10Speaker 1: e O should be the first team Mike. He had
- 30:12Speaker 1: a nice play in one on ones against I think
- 30:18Speaker 1: it was James Cook uh Cook kind of like turned
- 30:22Speaker 1: his uh drill his drill route into a wheel or
- 30:25Speaker 1: ran with him kind of helped break the pass up.
- 30:29Speaker 1: He also got beaten team a couple of times and
- 30:31Speaker 1: in seven on seven. But yeah, I Thinkayla b Larmzo
- 30:35Speaker 1: looks good. It's nice to be excited about a linebacker.
- 30:38Speaker 1: We'll see what happens with Dorian Bernard.
- 30:40Speaker 3: I do think Dorian.
- 30:42Speaker 1: I think Dorian will make enough plays that people will
- 30:45Speaker 1: be fine with el arms or on the bench. I
- 30:47Speaker 1: think Bernard is gonna be the biggest one for fans
- 30:49Speaker 1: because I think a lot of fans have already written
- 30:50Speaker 1: Bernard off. But I think Bernard's gonna do some stuff too.
- 30:53Speaker 1: It'll be interesting to kind of see what happens at linebacker.
- 30:55Speaker 1: But I don't necessarily disagree with this sentiment, Luke, I
- 31:00Speaker 1: think or has been good.
- 31:01Speaker 3: I'm interested to see what happens in the preseason. Uh
- 31:05Speaker 3: bum bum bum.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Stephen Sutton says, question, were we in a five man
- 31:10Speaker 1: front or a four man front?
- 31:11Speaker 3: Predominantly I e. Pressure. I would say a decent mix.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Tonight because the Bills it was a lot of varied
- 31:20Speaker 1: segments like two minute stuff, uh special down in distances
- 31:23Speaker 1: and situations. But the Bills offense I think did good
- 31:28Speaker 1: from a variety standpoint, Like you saw some heavy personnel packages,
- 31:31Speaker 1: some condensed stuff, some you know, full back looks and stuff,
- 31:35Speaker 1: and then you saw some spreads, some three by one.
- 31:38Speaker 1: So I think, if I had to, I would say
- 31:41Speaker 1: predominantly a four down front, just based off what the
- 31:44Speaker 1: offense was doing. But I think it was a good
- 31:49Speaker 1: a good enough mix, A good enough mix, and then.
- 31:54Speaker 3: The best pressure. Oh let's see.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Damn, I don't remember what they were for Solomon, and
- 31:58Speaker 1: you know I'm gonna cheat again. Let me go back
- 32:02Speaker 1: to my phone, because uh so T J. Sanders had
- 32:06Speaker 1: a great pressure. Andre Jones had a good pressure. Javon
- 32:10Speaker 1: Solomon also had a good pressure. Let's see this one
- 32:14Speaker 1: from Javon Solomon. I can't remember one too. This one
- 32:20Speaker 1: was a four man from Javon Solomon. Yeah, that's what
- 32:22Speaker 1: I thought. Yeah, I would say I would say predominantly
- 32:25Speaker 1: a four man, but just because they ran four man,
- 32:27Speaker 1: then they did five man stuff. But the five man
- 32:29Speaker 1: stuff still had some success, so I was pleased. I'll
- 32:32Speaker 1: put a button on it with that.
- 32:33Speaker 3: Sorry for having to fight in my phone.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Argie says, they put in that awesome Wi Fi system,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and I think they built in a cell relay inside
- 32:39Speaker 1: the stadium, so internet and cell coverage will finally be good.
- 32:41Speaker 3: Now.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I was worried about it, and then I was like,
- 32:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna take.
- 32:46Speaker 3: A video and kind of see what happens. And I
- 32:50Speaker 3: was pleased. I was pleased. I was pleased. I was pleased.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Ah Blake, He's confirmed. Yes.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Christian Bedford mass Connor says rumor has at Land in
- 32:57Speaker 1: Jackson was super disruptive up the mid.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Now I'm trying to play replay things in my head.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I remember him flashing on a couple I.
- 33:08Speaker 3: Think t J.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Sanders notably when the Bills, you know, ones came out
- 33:13Speaker 1: and they were in their five down you know odd front.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Look it was Groot. I don't remember who was strong side,
- 33:23Speaker 1: but it was Groot at Oliver Walker, Sanders, Chubb. So
- 33:28Speaker 1: Sanders was I, if that means anything for anyone, was
- 33:31Speaker 1: like the first one up with the Ones over Jackson.
- 33:35Speaker 1: But yeah, I'm for me, for Sanders and Jackson and
- 33:38Speaker 1: a lot of the front stuff. Preseason is gonna really
- 33:40Speaker 1: determine a ton for me, and regular season obviously more.
- 33:46Speaker 3: I was thinking of something in my head. But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Yeah uh as he says, any notable jew Bowery reps today,
- 33:55Speaker 1: I noticed. I look, I was keeping an eye on
- 33:57Speaker 1: him during offensive linebers defensive line unit work they're working
- 34:01Speaker 1: on like double teams and set in the edge and
- 34:03Speaker 1: one on ones and stuff.
- 34:06Speaker 3: He just he's a big athletic dude more than anything.
- 34:10Speaker 1: He's he's a guy though that I'm really just let's
- 34:12Speaker 1: see what happens come preseason. But he was getting some
- 34:15Speaker 1: work almost as like the sixth offensive lineman in some
- 34:17Speaker 1: sets next to Dion Dawkins and Drill and and some
- 34:21Speaker 1: cool things.
- 34:22Speaker 3: It was.
- 34:23Speaker 1: He's a big dude, explosive monster of a dude. But
- 34:26Speaker 1: from a team perspective, I didn't see anything. Nick says
- 34:30Speaker 1: the Nickel City Uni stink. They are not good. They
- 34:33Speaker 1: put Josh Allen in him to try and I think,
- 34:36Speaker 1: drum up, you know, excitement, and I don't.
- 34:40Speaker 3: Think it's still being hit.
- 34:42Speaker 1: He's there doing Bill's pr is doing all they can.
- 34:45Speaker 3: But Louf, I don't think. I don't. I don't think
- 34:47Speaker 3: it's there yet. What's up? Shall? I appreciate you? Said?
- 34:50Speaker 3: What's up? And how you doing good? I appreciate you.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 34:54Speaker 1: TVB says, at the end of the year, what rank
- 34:56Speaker 1: do you think the secondary will be? It depends on
- 34:58Speaker 1: what you're like, how what's the ranking are we using?
- 35:01Speaker 1: Just like how you match them up against other players
- 35:05Speaker 1: or other teams and their players, or is it like
- 35:06Speaker 1: dv AA, is it EPA, is it like points?
- 35:09Speaker 3: Whatever?
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'll say at the end of the year, like for
- 35:16Speaker 1: just myself, like how many secondaries I would take over
- 35:19Speaker 1: the Bills secondary. I think the Bills will be at top.
- 35:23Speaker 1: I think the Bills will be middling to top half
- 35:25Speaker 1: of the leak. I think the Bills will be somewhere
- 35:26Speaker 1: between like sixteen and like twelve or eleven. Joey says,
- 35:32Speaker 1: is it alarming that we don't hear much about TJ.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Parker? Do you have any worries?
- 35:39Speaker 1: Kind of because when I've watched him, I haven't been impressed.
- 35:45Speaker 1: But he's another one. Let's see what happens when the
- 35:47Speaker 1: bulletser live. Let's see what happens come preseason and then
- 35:51Speaker 1: regular season. Preseason will be nice for him because he's
- 35:54Speaker 1: gonna get a ton of burn in the preseason, right
- 35:57Speaker 1: like Rousseau's not gonna play a lot, Chubb's not gonna
- 36:00Speaker 1: play a lot. Oh you know, actually, you know what,
- 36:02Speaker 1: maybe they will play a little bit more because it's
- 36:03Speaker 1: a new defense and new coaching staff. But Parker's gonna
- 36:08Speaker 1: get a ton of burn, I think this preseason and
- 36:10Speaker 1: then we'll go from there. I would say, like, and again,
- 36:15Speaker 1: they're not necessarily going against the same guys. Like if
- 36:18Speaker 1: I had to pick a fourth starter off of what
- 36:22Speaker 1: I've seen in camp and what I've seen tonight at
- 36:27Speaker 1: the scrimmage, like Groot and Chubb are one and two,
- 36:31Speaker 1: hoit is three, Like Edge four has.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Been Andre Jones Junior.
- 36:36Speaker 1: If we're going purely off of this training camp and
- 36:39Speaker 1: the scrimmage tonight, edge four has been Andre Jones Junior.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Like I'm again, I'm not necessarily watching for TJ. Parker
- 36:45Speaker 1: all the time, So it's a thousand percent possible that
- 36:47Speaker 1: he's making plays that I'm not seeing. The only caveat
- 36:50Speaker 1: to that for me is I'm not really watching for
- 36:54Speaker 1: Andre Jones Junior ever, And I keep noticing Andre Jones
- 36:58Speaker 1: Junior make place against the run and against the past,
- 37:02Speaker 1: which is interesting.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Uh.
- 37:04Speaker 1: But just as sal C was saying he had to
- 37:07Speaker 1: be fitted for a rap because he's so big that tracks.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Oh the k e O playvers cook? Oh is it
- 37:13Speaker 1: making the is it making the round? Did somebody. I'm
- 37:16Speaker 1: assuming somebody recorded it and posted it. I'm gonna have
- 37:19Speaker 1: to take a peek.
- 37:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it was. I think it was early in.
- 37:25Speaker 1: It was, but I would saying it was early because
- 37:27Speaker 1: it was before Ty Johnson went down because it was
- 37:30Speaker 1: run to the side that Ty Johnson went down on.
- 37:32Speaker 1: It literally might have been like two plays before Ty
- 37:35Speaker 1: Johnson got hurt.
- 37:37Speaker 3: But yeah, it was nice. It was a nice play. Oh,
- 37:43Speaker 3: this is cool. What's up today? And mate?
- 37:45Speaker 1: Being in Australian I don't get the chance to get
- 37:48Speaker 1: huge content, So thanks for your efforts. Do you think
- 37:51Speaker 1: the Bills d will bridge the gap this year and
- 37:53Speaker 1: stand up when needed?
- 37:55Speaker 3: Parentheses playoffs?
- 37:56Speaker 1: Question mark, I will way man, it's hard to say
- 38:04Speaker 1: if they're gonna stand up when needed.
- 38:06Speaker 3: What I will say is.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I don't think the Bills defense will be the vulnerability
- 38:13Speaker 1: it's been in the playoffs the past several years, and
- 38:16Speaker 1: I think that's the most encouraging thing. I don't know
- 38:19Speaker 1: if they're gonna be from a regular season standpoint, if
- 38:21Speaker 1: they'll be better than Sean mcdermot's defenses, because on the whole,
- 38:24Speaker 1: Sean Mcdermoty's regular season defenses have been very good. But
- 38:29Speaker 1: I do think come playoff time, the Bills defense will
- 38:33Speaker 1: not be the vulnerability that it's been the past several years.
- 38:36Speaker 1: And that's purely because of the Jim Leonards philosophy and
- 38:39Speaker 1: identity and you know how he calls a defense and
- 38:41Speaker 1: sequences it.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so I do think they will kind of quote
- 38:45Speaker 3: unquote bridge the gap.
- 38:46Speaker 1: I don't know if they'll stand up when needed fingers crossed,
- 38:49Speaker 1: but yeah, I do. I don't think they'll be the
- 38:51Speaker 1: vulnerability that they have been for years, where it's just
- 38:53Speaker 1: like they're giving up thirty points, thirty points, thirty points,
- 38:56Speaker 1: thirty points every game. Steven says, I want some sacks
- 39:04Speaker 1: this year. Man got needs. Rob says, is Dwayne Carter
- 39:08Speaker 1: gonna be any good? I don't know. Man Like, I
- 39:10Speaker 1: thought they screwed up with him by having him play
- 39:12Speaker 1: more one tech instead of just pure three tech like
- 39:15Speaker 1: he did at Duke, and then he got hurt, and
- 39:17Speaker 1: now he's gained a bunch of weight to kind of
- 39:19Speaker 1: play like one tech and nose, and I don't think
- 39:21Speaker 1: that suits his playstyle or skill set. I think it's
- 39:24Speaker 1: an uphill battle for him. If I had, if I
- 39:26Speaker 1: had to bet, I I.
- 39:28Speaker 3: Wouldn't want to, and I think that all.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Luke says, who do you see starting a left guard?
- 39:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna say Austin Corbet right now.
- 39:37Speaker 3: I'm want to see that right now.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Lake says, I hear t J. Parker is trying to
- 39:40Speaker 1: use finets too much rather than power.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Interesting. I'm just gonna keep an eye on him come
- 39:45Speaker 3: preseason time. But that's fair.
- 39:52Speaker 1: What eh, It's okay. I think I'm caught up on
- 39:54Speaker 1: a lot of comments. Are the ones that kind of
- 39:56Speaker 1: overlapped with one another? All right, let me go through some.
- 40:01Speaker 3: More thoughts.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Daln Kincaid looked good tonight. Jackson Hawes had one of
- 40:07Speaker 1: my favorite reps tonight.
- 40:11Speaker 3: In one on ones.
- 40:12Speaker 1: It was after Ty Johnson got hurt because it was
- 40:14Speaker 1: to the left side of the field after they moved
- 40:16Speaker 1: everybody over.
- 40:17Speaker 3: He was against Geno.
- 40:18Speaker 1: Stone, so kind of take that for what it's worth,
- 40:21Speaker 1: but just the nuance in the route stem from Jackson Hawes.
- 40:24Speaker 3: Essentially he's running like a seam against Stone.
- 40:28Speaker 1: And mind you, this is pure one on one, so
- 40:29Speaker 1: the advantage is with the pass catcher because of all
- 40:32Speaker 1: the space. But he gets past Geno Stone and almost
- 40:37Speaker 1: kind of like stacks him a little but isn't completely
- 40:39Speaker 1: past him and hits him with a little heavy like
- 40:41Speaker 1: he's about to settle down and like break out or
- 40:44Speaker 1: break in or curl it up, and he does that
- 40:48Speaker 1: as he looks back and then puts on the burners
- 40:51Speaker 1: and pushes it vertical. And I think it was Alan
- 40:54Speaker 1: dropped it right in the bucket to him. I just
- 40:56Speaker 1: didn't think Jackson Hawes had that level of stem work
- 40:59Speaker 1: and deception his game, and the fact that he does
- 41:02Speaker 1: and is the physical mauler that he is as a
- 41:04Speaker 1: run blocker was absolutely awesome to see some nice flashes
- 41:09Speaker 1: from Javon Solomon. He had a really good pass pro rep.
- 41:11Speaker 1: I forget who it was against, but it was like
- 41:13Speaker 1: a third team offensive line might have been second just
- 41:17Speaker 1: attacks the left tackle on the snap. Left tackle gets
- 41:20Speaker 1: caught a little early with his punch and puts his
- 41:23Speaker 1: hands out and Solomon just gives it one good club
- 41:26Speaker 1: or like punch himself and then rips himself through. Is
- 41:29Speaker 1: based on what I saw when I zoomed in my
- 41:31Speaker 1: phone after I recorded it, but a nice pass RUSS
- 41:34Speaker 1: rep from Solomon.
- 41:35Speaker 3: He had a couple good plays tonight.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Andre Jones had a bunch of good plays again tonight,
- 41:39Speaker 1: especially two one would be sack one good play against
- 41:44Speaker 1: the run. Andre Jones continues to make plays. He was
- 41:47Speaker 1: actually kind of like a decent practice squad guy that
- 41:49Speaker 1: they've called up over the regular season or in the
- 41:51Speaker 1: regular season the past couple of years. But andre Jones
- 41:53Speaker 1: had some nice plays. Cole Bishop, I was mad at
- 41:55Speaker 1: myself because I stopped recording. There was a play early
- 42:00Speaker 1: on in Team Winter was raining. Alan fumbled the snap,
- 42:05Speaker 1: but then like he picked it up and threw it anyway,
- 42:08Speaker 1: and so I stopped recording, but the play kept happening.
- 42:11Speaker 1: It might have been a Kincaid, but Cold Bishop just
- 42:16Speaker 1: lit up whoever got the pass, and it was nice.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Whoever got the pass, they'll still caught it and got
- 42:22Speaker 1: up fine, but it was a good pop.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It was a good hit from Cold Bishop.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Cold Bishop also had a really nice rep against Dalton
- 42:30Speaker 1: Kincaid in one on ones, playing him close to the line,
- 42:35Speaker 1: kind of essentially impress but a little awful little bit
- 42:38Speaker 1: almost well. Kincaid was in kind of like a slot alignment,
- 42:41Speaker 1: so Bishop couldn't really get fully in his kitchen impress,
- 42:46Speaker 1: but he was close to him. Soft shoe, mirrors him,
- 42:49Speaker 1: carries him up field, is open to him. Kinkaid tried
- 42:54Speaker 1: to hit, tries to hit him with a heavy so
- 42:56Speaker 1: or a stutter. So Bishop will take the bait so
- 42:59Speaker 1: that Kincaid can like clear him on a dig. And
- 43:03Speaker 1: Bishop doesn't take the bait, stays attached to him and
- 43:05Speaker 1: his Kincaid tries to clear him on the dig. Bishop
- 43:09Speaker 1: is right in his hip pocket, turns around, picks it
- 43:12Speaker 1: off real nice.
- 43:14Speaker 3: So some good plays from uh cold Bishop tonight.
- 43:18Speaker 1: A couple of them again, good places from doll Kinka,
- 43:20Speaker 1: good route running, real nice play on a throw from
- 43:23Speaker 1: Josh Allen are nice out you know, outstretched catch, Alan
- 43:27Speaker 1: essentially drops it right over like they probably skims the
- 43:30Speaker 1: top of Damar Hamlin's hat hat and Kincaid outstretches plucks
- 43:35Speaker 1: it real nice. Josh Allen had a good night tonight too.
- 43:38Speaker 1: I feel like we could say that every night or
- 43:40Speaker 1: every game. But the deep ball man one, you know,
- 43:45Speaker 1: one two more one to Shakir one kind of air
- 43:54Speaker 1: lardy deep one two Kincaid. That's one in and of itself,
- 43:57Speaker 1: Like I noted it through camp, and I know I've
- 44:00Speaker 1: noticed it tonight too, Like the Bills offense has taken
- 44:05Speaker 1: some deep shots, especially off play action, but they are
- 44:08Speaker 1: finding ways to attack and take some deep shots, which
- 44:11Speaker 1: I think is exciting. They are pushing the ball down
- 44:13Speaker 1: feel a little bit that air yards per attempt average
- 44:15Speaker 1: depth of target.
- 44:16Speaker 3: I do think.
- 44:19Speaker 1: We're gonna see more of that this year, which, as
- 44:20Speaker 1: I've talked about a bunch, I think is necessary for
- 44:22Speaker 1: the Bills offense, and not just for the Bills offense,
- 44:24Speaker 1: but for NFL offenses across the league, given how defenses
- 44:29Speaker 1: are operating, what the best defenses are doing. Khalil Shakir
- 44:33Speaker 1: maybe my favorite play of the night. I forget what
- 44:38Speaker 1: coverage is on the outside, but essentially c J. Gardner
- 44:42Speaker 1: Johnson ends up kind of like matching Khalil Shakir. So
- 44:45Speaker 1: Shakir's in the slot to the field, d Alford is in.
- 44:49Speaker 3: Front of him.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Shakir kind of releases outside on the snap, so Alford
- 44:54Speaker 1: jumps outside and then can hear Shakir jumps right back inside,
- 44:59Speaker 1: gets north and south, gets vertical, gets tries to get
- 45:02Speaker 1: on the toes of Chauncey Gardner. Johnson snaps it outside
- 45:06Speaker 1: almost kind of like a rocker step, and stems it
- 45:10Speaker 1: a little like he's breaking like he's gonna run a
- 45:12Speaker 1: corner route, which gets Chauncey Gardner Johnson to open up
- 45:16Speaker 1: a little with him. And as he does that, Shaki
- 45:19Speaker 1: just stabs back in the ground, cuts across his face
- 45:22Speaker 1: but doesn't keep going angularly on a post, cuts across
- 45:24Speaker 1: his face and then gets skinny kind of up the seam,
- 45:28Speaker 1: and Alan just splits right down the middle right like
- 45:32Speaker 1: I feel like center of the field goal post, like
- 45:35Speaker 1: a thirty five, you know, air yard throw right down
- 45:38Speaker 1: the middle to a wide open Shakir. Shakir just turned
- 45:41Speaker 1: Chauncey inside hout god opened. Alan delivered a perfect ball.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Alan sprints down to the end zone after it because
- 45:47Speaker 1: he's super happy and then slides like he's sliding into
- 45:50Speaker 1: home home plate and then gets up and hugs Shakir.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Tremendous play on that one. I think that that's a
- 46:00Speaker 1: big takeaway. Again, like the individual plays were nice, Like
- 46:03Speaker 1: there was a deep shot to more again, probably would
- 46:04Speaker 1: have been a second deep shot to Shakir, some deep
- 46:07Speaker 1: stuff to Kincaid, and it might be like individually it's
- 46:11Speaker 1: like man, what to throw or like all these pass
- 46:13Speaker 1: catchers are doing stuff. I think the bigger thing is
- 46:16Speaker 1: that the Bills offense is taking shots, and again it's
- 46:20Speaker 1: not just.
- 46:20Speaker 3: Off of straight play action.
- 46:23Speaker 1: Like I'm gonna go, I hate that I keep doing
- 46:26Speaker 1: this and I want to just like show the plays,
- 46:27Speaker 1: but I don't trust you know, the world. The Shakira
- 46:33Speaker 1: one was off of was shotgun, which was nice to see.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Uh yeah, what like, I don't care if it's play
- 46:42Speaker 1: action under center, play action, deep shots.
- 46:44Speaker 3: I don't care if it's off of pistol.
- 46:45Speaker 1: I don't care if it's off of like duo play
- 46:47Speaker 1: action or mid zone or their gap scheme stuff like.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I don't care if it's straight drop back from under center.
- 46:51Speaker 1: I don't care if it's some shotgun play action anything like,
- 46:54Speaker 1: just get me more air yards in the offense. And no,
- 46:57Speaker 1: it doesn't have to be the Al Davis offenses of
- 46:59Speaker 1: the air Cort Yell offenses. And I'm just like, yeah,
- 47:01Speaker 1: pushed the ball downfield, push the ball downfield. But you
- 47:04Speaker 1: gotta get some kind of breath within the offense. You
- 47:11Speaker 1: cannot allow defenses to just sit at like fifteen yards
- 47:14Speaker 1: and be like, wholl nothing's going over the top of
- 47:17Speaker 1: us because they don't do that stuff or they don't
- 47:20Speaker 1: have the guys to do that, or they're not even
- 47:22Speaker 1: gonna throw that stuff. Now you've got a guy in
- 47:24Speaker 1: DJ Moore. But then also you're doing it with Khalil Shakir.
- 47:28Speaker 1: I think that's kind of music to everyone's ears, this
- 47:30Speaker 1: whole idea of like, wait a minute, Kalis Shakir is
- 47:32Speaker 1: not gonna have an average depth of target of like
- 47:34Speaker 1: negative fifteen, and he's just gonna get you know, the
- 47:37Speaker 1: run with the package plays, the runs with the pass tags,
- 47:39Speaker 1: the RPO bubbles, the screens, the drags.
- 47:42Speaker 3: Like he's not just gonna get that stuff.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Like they really are gonna push the ball downfield to Khalishakir.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Like that's pretty sweet. So that was really encouraging again
- 47:51Speaker 1: just that it was Shakir that it worked, and then
- 47:56Speaker 1: also just that they're starting to take more deep shots downfield,
- 48:00Speaker 1: pushed the ball downfield.
- 48:01Speaker 3: I'm very encouraged by that. That was a big piece
- 48:02Speaker 3: from tonight too.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Also a piece some of the running back routes tonight.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Just a little bit of spice on some of the
- 48:08Speaker 1: routes tonight, like Ray Davis running a choice router or
- 48:13Speaker 1: an option route out of the backfield.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Linebacker has him. I think actually this might have been
- 48:19Speaker 3: in drill.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Linebacker's playing him outside leverage. So Ray Davis cuts across
- 48:24Speaker 1: his face. But instead of cutting across his face and
- 48:28Speaker 1: kind of just staying on the angle right and then
- 48:30Speaker 1: you can give that linebacker the opportunity to kind of
- 48:33Speaker 1: like I should go this way with actually no, it's.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Not working either way. My hands are backwards.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Instead of cutting across the linebacker's face and then giving
- 48:39Speaker 1: the linebacker the opportunity to still kind of like slip
- 48:42Speaker 1: the hip and get underneath you, Davis cuts it across
- 48:46Speaker 1: from the angle, like on that Texas route Texas route,
- 48:48Speaker 1: that angle route, he cuts it across his face, and
- 48:50Speaker 1: then he makes another cut with his outside foot and
- 48:54Speaker 1: gets horizontal and goes across the field. And I thought
- 48:57Speaker 1: that was a nice little wrinkle. I was like, oh,
- 48:58Speaker 1: p Carmichael influenced, maybe a little bit, because I mean,
- 49:00Speaker 1: the Bills haven't done a ton of choice routes or
- 49:04Speaker 1: option routes out of the backfield with the backs, so
- 49:06Speaker 1: that in and of itself is likely a Carmichael thing,
- 49:08Speaker 1: or maybe Brady tapping into more of the Peyton stuff.
- 49:10Speaker 1: But that little wrinkle, I was like, Ooh, that feels
- 49:13Speaker 1: Carmichael y and you know Saintsy and peerre Thomas doing
- 49:17Speaker 1: things like that. Let alone have a Kamara mark ingram.
- 49:19Speaker 1: But you know Sprolls and peerre Thomas and all the
- 49:21Speaker 1: backs that Peyton has had for years and years and
- 49:24Speaker 1: years and years.
- 49:26Speaker 3: What else?
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of everything else. If anybody else's
- 49:35Speaker 1: any question, thoughts, comments, concerns, feel free you put it
- 49:37Speaker 1: up into the chat as we keep going along here,
- 49:41Speaker 1: Kay more, he says DJ Moore, Josh Palmer, kean On
- 49:43Speaker 1: Coleman collucial cure should be a more than it should
- 49:45Speaker 1: be more than adequate as a wide receiver room.
- 49:47Speaker 3: I agree. I do think they'll be fine.
- 49:49Speaker 1: Going back to that question earlier, like, is this a
- 49:51Speaker 1: room that feels like simply good enough?
- 49:52Speaker 3: I do.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I don't think Dj Moore is a true wide receiver one.
- 49:56Speaker 1: That doesn't mean he can't have wide receiver one production,
- 49:58Speaker 1: but I think DJ Moore is more of a high
- 50:00Speaker 1: end two than he is a true one. But he's
- 50:03Speaker 1: still a good fit for this offense for what they
- 50:05Speaker 1: need vertical stretch, horizontal stretch. Kalushakir is sick in his role.
- 50:10Speaker 1: We know what that role is. I think Josh Palmer
- 50:12Speaker 1: is a perfectly fine three, and I don't mean that negatively.
- 50:15Speaker 1: He's also a guy who can win in the in
- 50:18Speaker 1: the underneath, in the intermediate, he can beat man coverage.
- 50:21Speaker 3: I'm cool with that.
- 50:22Speaker 1: And then, yeah, if Keon gives you anything, if Skyler
- 50:25Speaker 1: Bell gives you anything, if Miko Hartmon gives you anything. Also,
- 50:27Speaker 1: Miko Harmon is really really fast, continues to show that
- 50:30Speaker 1: he had some good deep plays tonight. Yeah, I think
- 50:34Speaker 1: I think their receiver room is more than adequate. And again,
- 50:37Speaker 1: I know that's not sexy. I know it's not Ceed
- 50:40Speaker 1: Lamb and George Pickens. I know it's not someone like
- 50:44Speaker 1: jsn or Pukin Nakua or Jamar Chasin T Higgins or
- 50:47Speaker 1: Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison and all these other like
- 50:50Speaker 1: great duos or single receivers.
- 50:52Speaker 3: The receiving room is I think fine with DJ Moore.
- 50:54Speaker 3: Could it be better? Absolutely? Is it good enough? Yep?
- 50:58Speaker 1: And is it good enough especially with the run game
- 51:00Speaker 1: the Bills have Yep. Again, I think this receiver room
- 51:05Speaker 1: is fine. I think it's largely middle of the league.
- 51:07Speaker 1: If we went team by team, I would put there,
- 51:09Speaker 1: So I put them somewhere between like sixteenth and twentieth.
- 51:14Speaker 1: And who knows that Keank Coleman takes a jump in
- 51:16Speaker 1: his game. You know, maybe this is a group that
- 51:20Speaker 1: can be sixteenth to thirteenth, sixteenth to twelfth, something like that. Yeah,
- 51:26Speaker 1: I think I think this room will be fine, especially
- 51:31Speaker 1: with the run game. But again, the run game has
- 51:33Speaker 1: to go. And the better the tight ends are, the
- 51:34Speaker 1: healthier the tight ends are, the more no pun intended,
- 51:37Speaker 1: this Bill's receiver room will be.
- 51:42Speaker 3: Let me go through.
- 51:43Speaker 1: I'm literally gonna go through all my notes now in
- 51:45Speaker 1: post of everything, skyther Bell had a couple drops tonight,
- 51:48Speaker 1: which was disappointing. I just remember seeing that in my
- 51:50Speaker 1: notes now. Sham Buchelle had a really nice touchdown pass
- 51:54Speaker 1: to COLLECTI lot to towards the end of team which
- 51:58Speaker 1: I liked a lot. Shakir Solomon all Ford, nice interception
- 52:03Speaker 1: coverage stuff, Kayler b Larms or at Mike bo Bu.
- 52:10Speaker 3: I think that's pretty much everything that I got encouraging
- 52:13Speaker 3: night tonight.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Well, see how they continue to ride this momentum in
- 52:17Speaker 1: to the preseason, which is a week away from today,
- 52:22Speaker 1: well less than a week because they play next Saturday
- 52:23Speaker 1: at one o'clock, and I'm going to that game, so
- 52:27Speaker 1: I'm excited. And then next week, next Saturday, I will
- 52:30Speaker 1: be doing a preseason postgame episode. I believe I'll be
- 52:35Speaker 1: doing it with Greg Thompson because Greg is coming up
- 52:39Speaker 1: for the game. I am going to the game with Greg,
- 52:42Speaker 1: and so then I think it's just a matter of
- 52:43Speaker 1: giving Greg the time to drive back to Cleveland and
- 52:47Speaker 1: then we set up shop and do a post game.
- 52:49Speaker 1: So the Bills play at one next Saturday, probably do
- 52:52Speaker 1: a post game somewhere around like seven ish eight o'clockish
- 52:56Speaker 1: Saturday night, given Greg time enough time to get at home.
- 53:00Speaker 1: If Greg is unable to join, I will be doing
- 53:04Speaker 1: the postgame show essentially right after I get home from
- 53:08Speaker 1: the preseason game. I'm also back and forth on the
- 53:11Speaker 1: idea of doing a regular schedule Disguis coverage episode on
- 53:14Speaker 1: Tuesday night at nine, So we'll see how that's about
- 53:19Speaker 1: to go down from a content schedule standpoint, but yeah,
- 53:22Speaker 1: we'll see.
- 53:22Speaker 3: Uh, let's go where.
- 53:26Speaker 1: This question here from the I believe mafia, who looks
- 53:28Speaker 1: better Kyle Allen or Buchelle? Good question. Kyle Allen had
- 53:34Speaker 1: a couple of good throws tonight. I'm gonna say Bouchelle
- 53:38Speaker 1: just because I like Bouchell. I've likedhim the past couple
- 53:41Speaker 1: of years. I feel like he's done enough that I've
- 53:43Speaker 1: been like, this guy's fun.
- 53:44Speaker 3: So I'm gonna save Buchelle.
- 53:46Speaker 1: But Kyle Allen's made some throats, which has been nice.
- 53:48Speaker 1: But he made some throws tonight, but largely Matt I
- 53:51Speaker 1: would say Bouchelle, I would say Buchhell.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Bom bomb bum oh.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah, like talking about I mean Scotherbilt could be something
- 54:01Speaker 1: you never know. He had a couple of drops tonight.
- 54:04Speaker 1: I've been whelmed by him overall. Again, I wasn't the
- 54:07Speaker 1: highest on him coming out. I had a fourth round
- 54:10Speaker 1: grade on him. He ended up going towards the end
- 54:12Speaker 1: of the fourth so I was cool with that. But
- 54:14Speaker 1: I don't necessarily believe all the hype that he's getting.
- 54:17Speaker 1: But if he can be something cool awesome, mass Connors
- 54:21Speaker 1: says Chubb or Greg looked good tonight. Didn't really see
- 54:26Speaker 1: a ton of them, not necessarily in a bad way.
- 54:29Speaker 1: And I don't think they got like if I had
- 54:30Speaker 1: to do a snapshare perspective, I count I don't think
- 54:33Speaker 1: they were getting a ton of burn in that regard,
- 54:35Speaker 1: which I think is kind of to be expected.
- 54:38Speaker 3: When I did see them, they looked fine.
- 54:39Speaker 1: And I don't mean fine in like a negative way,
- 54:41Speaker 1: like quote good, like top of the depth chart edges.
- 54:45Speaker 3: Both are built more to B twos than they are ones.
- 54:47Speaker 3: But I think they were fine.
- 54:49Speaker 1: Uh, mass Convana, How was IGB tonight?
- 54:57Speaker 3: Fine? Not bad, not good? Fine?
- 54:59Speaker 1: Oh? Another Christian Benford one there. I think it was
- 55:03Speaker 1: the cloud corner to the far side of the field,
- 55:06Speaker 1: and he didn't have anything holding him underneath, so he
- 55:09Speaker 1: kept sinking and Alan tried to hit a honey hole
- 55:12Speaker 1: shot on him, and it was a bit under thrown
- 55:15Speaker 1: a bit, but Benford just kept sinking and eventually got
- 55:18Speaker 1: back enough to break up the ball.
- 55:19Speaker 3: I forgot about that. I forgot about that. But I
- 55:22Speaker 3: think IGB was fine.
- 55:24Speaker 1: I didn't notice in one way or the other too much,
- 55:25Speaker 1: positively or negatively.
- 55:27Speaker 3: That usually is kind of like an offensive lineman.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Think it's probably good because it also could be he's
- 55:31Speaker 1: not getting tested a bunch. But yeah, I think fine,
- 55:35Speaker 1: not necessarily in Uh. The worst Kevin says was the
- 55:39Speaker 1: wind confused, And I will tell you the stadium. The
- 55:42Speaker 1: stadium is super open from like a concourse perspective, Like
- 55:46Speaker 1: everything is open. There's tons of I don't know if
- 55:49Speaker 1: it'll like it'll they'll close off things from the outside
- 55:53Speaker 1: a little bit when it's wintertime, but like it's just
- 55:56Speaker 1: open air everywhere. So I can see where the wind's
- 55:59Speaker 1: getting broken up over the top and even through the building.
- 56:01Speaker 1: But it's just like a giant open air stadium. It's
- 56:04Speaker 1: almost to the point where you're like, is construction finish?
- 56:07Speaker 1: Why is there all this space between these beams? And
- 56:09Speaker 1: why is there not something covering this? I guess I
- 56:12Speaker 1: know too. Yeah, the stadium is super cool. I made
- 56:15Speaker 1: a bunch of references. I could have done it all night.
- 56:18Speaker 3: The stadium. It looks like an alien ship just landed.
- 56:21Speaker 1: It looks like if like the Death Star didn't have
- 56:23Speaker 1: a roof and had a football field in it, That's
- 56:25Speaker 1: what it would be. And I mean that in a
- 56:27Speaker 1: good way. The concourses are great. The store locations inside
- 56:31Speaker 1: are good, where like the drink locations are where. The
- 56:34Speaker 1: food locations are good. The skyline thing is cool up
- 56:37Speaker 1: top and the three hundred level, the giant scoreboard is cool.
- 56:41Speaker 3: Good vantage points seemingly everywhere.
- 56:45Speaker 1: It was pretty cool tonight and then yeah, somebody said
- 56:48Speaker 1: the natural grass. It didn't look any different. You can
- 56:52Speaker 1: tell the field is natural grass. I'm just excited to
- 56:55Speaker 1: get to like November, end of October and November December,
- 56:57Speaker 1: when we get to the cold games and you can
- 56:59Speaker 1: see that real football aesthetic where the grass is a
- 57:03Speaker 1: little brown maybe, or it's getting chewed up a little
- 57:05Speaker 1: bit and there's dirt and grass stains on the players.
- 57:08Speaker 1: Give me that aesthetic. Not to mention the soft nature
- 57:11Speaker 1: of it, although ironically maybe it doesn't help because you know,
- 57:14Speaker 1: it's always supposed to be natural grasses better for you know,
- 57:16Speaker 1: potential injuries.
- 57:17Speaker 3: And Ty Johnson and Connor mc government both went down tonight, so.
- 57:22Speaker 1: We will see, we will see. Thank it everybody for
- 57:26Speaker 1: tuning in to this episode of Disguy's coverage. I greatly
- 57:31Speaker 1: appreciate you, folks. I'ma throw up the banner that says
- 57:33Speaker 1: tootles folks. As we start to wind down here again,
- 57:36Speaker 1: I will be doing a I think I'm gonna do
- 57:39Speaker 1: a Tuesday night episode. I'm gonna put together some more
- 57:44Speaker 1: higher level schematic conversation talk or maybe you know, if
- 57:46Speaker 1: something drops between now and then we'll kind of talk
- 57:48Speaker 1: about some repercussions or follow up to this. I will
- 57:51Speaker 1: be doing again a postgame episode next Saturday, after the
- 57:55Speaker 1: bills first preseason game against the Carolina Panthers. Whether I
- 58:01Speaker 1: wait until Greg gets back from the game in Cleveland
- 58:06Speaker 1: or if he doesn't end up doing it with me,
- 58:07Speaker 1: I'll do it sooner than that. But we will get
- 58:09Speaker 1: a postgame show after preseason game one, and then I
- 58:12Speaker 1: will be doing preseason postgame shows for the entire rest
- 58:14Speaker 1: of the preseason.
- 58:15Speaker 3: So anything you got, get at.

- 59:31Speaker 1: again to Adam Pencil from Cover one for hooking me
- 59:34Speaker 1: up with this ticket tonight so I could go. My
- 59:37Speaker 1: wife and I had a great time and it was
- 59:38Speaker 1: the reason I was able to do the show and
- 59:40Speaker 1: have the content on social earlier tonight. So yeah, and
- 59:44Speaker 1: as always, get yourself from One Pie Pizza, the best
- 59:46Speaker 1: pizza in Buffalo, New York. I don't say that because
- 59:49Speaker 1: they sponsor the show. They sponsored the show because they
- 59:51Speaker 1: are the best pizza in Buffalo, New York. Good times right,
- 59:55Speaker 1: Football's around the corner.
- 59:56Speaker 3: The weather's supposed to be nice tomorrow.
- 59:58Speaker 1: Go get yourself to one pie, pizza cup and Sharpe.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Baroni, homemade blue cheese.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Maybe get a maybe, get up early and get a
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: breakfast pizza and then go back later and get a
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: regular pizza.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: Who knows. Treat yourself.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Enjoy the rest of your Saturday night, everyone, I sincerely
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: appreciate everybody tuning in and all the engagement. It was
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: cool to Essentially I had my notes, but everybody in
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: the live chat made it easy for me tonight just
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: by asking me questions and me being able to go
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: back and forth. So I appreciate you folks for that.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: Enjoy the rest of your Saturday night. Sincerely appreciate everybody
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: who watched live engaged. Thank you very much to Andrew
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: for your super chat and whatever form or fashion your
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: episode consumption comes in. I'm greatly appreciated, appreciative of it,
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: and thankful for it. Josh's and I'll buy one pie
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: pizza if you sing the Krusty Krab Pizza song, but
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: with one pie?
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: How long of the version do I have to do?
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Like when SpongeBob is like singing, like going hard with
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: it when they're doing like the montage of it, like
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: the Crusty Kray Yeah, like that part. I would one
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: hundred percent do that, or like the throw them like
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: we was like Crusty Krab Pizza pizza.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: I could do that with one pie all day easy.
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: I appreciate you for that. Enjoy the rest of your
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Saturday night, folks.
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: Thank it everybody as always for all of your support,
