- Lucas: Hey, welcome back to Learn Spanish with Fexingo. I'm Lucas. Luna: And I'm Luna. Ready for another episode? Lucas: Absolutely. So, we've been doing a lot of park scenes lately, right? Luna: Yeah, we bought snacks, asked for directions... it's been fun. Lucas: Today, let's keep it simple. We're going to buy a drink at the park. Luna: Oh, I could use a drink right now. It's getting warm. Lucas: So let's start with a basic one: 'I want a bottle of water.' In Spanish, 'Quiero una botella de agua.' Luna: Quiero una botella de agua. Lucas: Perfect. Repeat that once more? Luna: Quiero una botella de agua. Lucas: Great. Now, what if you want a soda? 'A soda, please.' That's 'Un refresco, por favor.' Luna: Un refresco, por favor. Lucas: Yes. And if you'd like juice: 'I want a juice.' 'Quiero un jugo.' Luna: Quiero un jugo. Lucas: Exactly. So we have three drink options. Let's practice a short scene. Imagine we're at a park kiosk. Luna: Okay, you're the seller, I'm the customer. Lucas: Sounds good. I'll say 'Hola, ¿qué deseas?' Luna: Quiero una botella de agua. Lucas: Muy bien. Then I'd say 'Aquí tienes.' That means 'Here you go.' Luna: Aquí tienes. Lucas: And you'd ask 'How much does it cost?' — '¿Cuánto cuesta?' Luna: ¿Cuánto cuesta? Lucas: I'd say 'Dos euros' or whatever, then you'd say 'Gracias.' So let's run through the whole thing. Luna: Let me try. Hola, ¿qué deseas? Lucas: Quiero una botella de agua. Luna: Aquí tienes. Lucas: ¿Cuánto cuesta? Luna: Dos euros. Lucas: Gracias. Luna: Perfecto. Now, let's mix it up. What if I want a soda instead? Lucas: Then you say 'Un refresco, por favor.' Let's do that version. Luna: Hola, ¿qué deseas? Lucas: Un refresco, por favor. Luna: Aquí tienes. Lucas: ¿Cuánto cuesta? Luna: Un euro con cincuenta. Lucas: Gracias. Luna: Oh, that was smooth. I like how 'por favor' makes it polite. Lucas: Yeah, always good to add that. Now, one more: juice. Luna: Okay. Hola, ¿qué deseas? Quiero un jugo. Lucas: Aquí tienes. Luna: ¿Cuánto cuesta? Lucas: Dos euros. Luna: Gracias. Lucas: You're nailing it. Let's do one more full practice, but this time I'll be the customer, you the seller. Luna: Okay, ready. Lucas: Hola, ¿qué deseas? Luna: Quiero una botella de agua. Lucas: Aquí tienes. ¿Algo más? Luna: Sí, un refresco también, por favor. Lucas: Claro. Aquí tienes. Luna: ¿Cuánto cuesta todo? Lucas: Tres euros. Luna: Aquí tienes. Lucas: Gracias. Luna: Ooh, I added 'todo' — that was good, right? Lucas: Yes! 'Todo' means 'everything.' So '¿Cuánto cuesta todo?' — 'How much does everything cost?' Nice. Luna: Thanks.
