- 0:01Speaker 1: Now Seor presents no Mark Simon Shaw.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, it's Friday already. That's the good news. It's gonna
- 0:13Speaker 2: be pretty nice. There'll be a shower, a thundershow otherwise
- 0:16Speaker 2: it would be a nice sun is out not bad today.
- 0:18Speaker 2: We got a lot to get to. We'll get to Iran.
- 0:20Speaker 2: There's some serious threats from Iran, but we'll be able
- 0:24Speaker 2: to deal with them. We'll get some crazy mom Donnie.
- 0:27Speaker 2: We'll get to We'll get to Marco Rubio just made
- 0:32Speaker 2: a great move. We'll get to that. We'll get to
- 0:33Speaker 2: these stupid e bikes, and a whole lot more coming up.
- 0:37Speaker 2: We'll get to the Rolling Stones and Taylor Swift, we
- 0:42Speaker 2: get the real cost of the wedding, and a whole
- 0:44Speaker 2: lot more coming up. You may have seen the President Trump,
- 0:48Speaker 2: who's got this big new Air Force one. Cutter gave
- 0:53Speaker 2: us a jet, the most spectacular jet. It's a flying palace.
- 0:57Speaker 2: It's way beyond Air Force one inside and beauty and luxury,
- 1:02Speaker 2: and the Pentagon refitted it to make it, put in
- 1:05Speaker 2: all the security, safety, communications, everything they need in Air
- 1:09Speaker 2: Force one. Cost a couple hundred million to do that,
- 1:12Speaker 2: and the President's been using that plane. But when he
- 1:14Speaker 2: left the NATO summit, all of a sudden, they brought
- 1:17Speaker 2: back the old Air Force one. He made up some
- 1:23Speaker 2: excuse about how the new one was in England so
- 1:25Speaker 2: that the military could take a look at it. It didn't
- 1:28Speaker 2: make any sense. His explanation making no sense. Obviously it
- 1:32Speaker 2: was for security reasons. Apparently the old Air Force one
- 1:36Speaker 2: has incredible anti missile defense systems in it and the
- 1:40Speaker 2: new one doesn't. Now, the present was in another part
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the world NATO summit. It's one thing if you're
- 1:47Speaker 2: flying around within America, you really don't have to worry
- 1:50Speaker 2: about a missile threat. But when you're in the Middle
- 1:52Speaker 2: East or somewhere else, you gotta worry about it. He
- 1:55Speaker 2: was in Turkey, and apparently our intelligence got worse that
- 2:00Speaker 2: Iran was going to try to kill him. That Air
- 2:02Speaker 2: Force one was a target. Israeli intelligence, which is very good,
- 2:08Speaker 2: notified us that they were picking up a threat against
- 2:11Speaker 2: Air Force one. So that's why the old Air Force
- 2:14Speaker 2: one was quickly brought over there. He could fly back
- 2:16Speaker 2: on that because it has a full anti missile defense system.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But I've never seen this before. If you look at
- 2:23Speaker 2: some of the pictures, it had an incredible escort of
- 2:27Speaker 2: military fighter jets. I've seen it before where Air Force
- 2:31Speaker 2: one is flying and there's two or three fighter jets
- 2:33Speaker 2: on one on each side and one behind it to
- 2:35Speaker 2: protect it.
- 2:37Speaker 3: But this.
- 2:39Speaker 2: Was fifteen or twenty fighter jets surrounding Air Force One
- 2:43Speaker 2: as it left, as it crossed the ocean until it
- 2:45Speaker 2: got back to the US. Never never seen that before.
- 2:49Speaker 2: So they're taking this threat very seriously. We knew that
- 2:54Speaker 2: the Iran had been targeting President Trump for assassination last
- 2:58Speaker 2: couple of years, and pretty much everybody believes now that's
- 3:01Speaker 2: what Butler was Pennsylvania the last two assassination attempts. It
- 3:06Speaker 2: doesn't usually with an assassin like that. You find some
- 3:13Speaker 2: crazy nutjob want to be assassin, and then if you're
- 3:16Speaker 2: Iran or.
- 3:16Speaker 4: Whoever, you back the guy.
- 3:18Speaker 2: You get him to the right place and give them
- 3:21Speaker 2: support and you get them to you get this guy
- 3:24Speaker 2: to take the shot. A lot of people think that's
- 3:25Speaker 2: what Lea. Harvey Oswald was. He was an assassin all
- 3:30Speaker 2: his life, but he was a nut who's always trying
- 3:31Speaker 2: to shoot people. So a lot of people believe the
- 3:34Speaker 2: Russians or the Cubans, or the mob or somebody found
- 3:37Speaker 2: this guy and got them up there in that window.
- 3:40Speaker 4: So that's a big threat.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Now, apparently Iran has sent a lot of deadly drones
- 3:48Speaker 2: to Cuba, a lot of them. They've given Cuba three
- 3:54Speaker 2: hundred kami Kazi drones. They're pretty deadly, and they've got
- 3:57Speaker 2: long range. These drones can go fifteen hundred miles. Cuba
- 4:02Speaker 2: is only ninety miles from Florida, so they've given them
- 4:06Speaker 2: three hundred Kamakazi drones. They're heavily armed. They can pack
- 4:10Speaker 2: up to one hundred and ten pounds of explosives each
- 4:15Speaker 2: and again they got a range of fifteen hundred miles,
- 4:19Speaker 2: three hundred of them. Now, we have great defense against drones.
- 4:22Speaker 2: We have all sorts of defenses that can spot a
- 4:25Speaker 2: drone and take it out. The only problem is, and
- 4:30Speaker 2: this happened with Israel a couple of times. You know,
- 4:32Speaker 2: you send ten drones, we can take them out and
- 4:34Speaker 2: knock them down. If you send like two hundred at
- 4:36Speaker 2: a time, and it happened in Israel a couple times,
- 4:40Speaker 2: you don't get every one of them. Sometimes one or
- 4:43Speaker 2: two could get through. Now this is fifteen hundred miles.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Obviously Florida would be principal target. I know we got
- 4:51Speaker 2: a lot of listeners in Florida, but this is like
- 4:54Speaker 2: Cuban missile crisis all over again. So now there's a
- 4:58Speaker 2: kind of a race against the clock. One we'd have
- 5:01Speaker 2: to stop these drones if they're ever used. But also
- 5:04Speaker 2: we are in the process of liberating Cuba, of freeing
- 5:09Speaker 2: Cuba from the communist government there, all sorts of steps
- 5:13Speaker 2: have been in the works for the last couple of years.
- 5:15Speaker 2: If we can get this done very fast and take
- 5:18Speaker 2: over that government, we wouldn't take it over, but allies
- 5:21Speaker 2: of ours would take it over. You know, the Cuban people,
- 5:25Speaker 2: Cubans in Florida, they've already recruited to go back there
- 5:28Speaker 2: and run things. So that would be important right now
- 5:32Speaker 2: with this drone threat. So we'll keep an eye on
- 5:34Speaker 2: all of that for you. We are striking Iran as
- 5:38Speaker 2: we speak.
- 5:39Speaker 4: We're back.
- 5:41Speaker 2: President Trump called the last attacks, remember months ago, a
- 5:45Speaker 2: couple of months ago, the original a couple of weeks
- 5:47Speaker 2: of attacks. He called that a love tap. He's calling
- 5:51Speaker 2: this one a bitch slap. Now, bitch slap usually means
- 5:56Speaker 2: something very painful but brief, not too long, but very
- 6:00Speaker 2: seriously painful. So this is going to be a real
- 6:04Speaker 2: serious attack, way beyond what we did last time. They're
- 6:07Speaker 2: hitting about ninety five one hundred targets a day, and
- 6:11Speaker 2: serious military targets, taking out all kinds of stuff. This
- 6:15Speaker 2: series of attacks is expected to go about seven weeks.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Seven weeks that these attacks should be pretty deadly to Iran.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It'd be interesting to see what's left after seven weeks.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Might not be much of anything. You know, they had
- 6:30Speaker 2: the funeral for the Ayatola Kamane. It's been a couple
- 6:33Speaker 2: months since he was killed. They waited that long, so
- 6:36Speaker 2: they thought it was safe. They did this so recently,
- 6:38Speaker 2: and at the funeral, we watch it from the sky
- 6:42Speaker 2: satellite photos. We're watching the funeral. Thousands and thousands showed
- 6:46Speaker 2: up for the funeral as they buried the Iatola Komane.
- 6:49Speaker 2: But they unfurled an enormous, enormous banner that called for
- 6:55Speaker 2: Trump's assassination. Apparently the crowd was calling for it. Kinds
- 7:00Speaker 2: of banners. I swear by the blood of the Supreme
- 7:03Speaker 2: Leader Trump, we will kill you. So this is a
- 7:07Speaker 2: part of all of this.
- 7:08Speaker 4: You know.
- 7:08Speaker 2: The guy was sitting right over there a block away
- 7:11Speaker 2: at Trump Tower, having a great life, a great time.
- 7:15Speaker 2: I don't know why you want to go be president.
- 7:16Speaker 2: I guess it's a dream to be president. But in Iran,
- 7:23Speaker 2: I got a banner we swear by the Ayatola, we
- 7:26Speaker 2: will kill you. Who needs this? Who needs to go
- 7:29Speaker 2: through this? He's already had three assassination attempts on him.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Who needs to go through this? It's crazy, Mayor Mom,
- 7:38Speaker 2: Donnie Well, everybody is fuming and furious, especially the Italian community.
- 7:45Speaker 2: He put out this map. He thought this would be
- 7:47Speaker 2: great to put out an ethnic map of New York
- 7:50Speaker 2: showing the different ethnic neighborhoods. And they were mostly Middle
- 7:56Speaker 2: Eastern ethnic neighborhoods. They were mostly ethnic neighborhoods. He forgot
- 8:02Speaker 2: to include Little Italy, which is obviously the most famous
- 8:07Speaker 2: ethnic neighborhood in New York City. He also forgot the
- 8:12Speaker 2: Irish neighborhoods. In fact, they were like originally the big
- 8:15Speaker 2: Irish neighborhoods, one in the Bronx, a couple in Queens.
- 8:18Speaker 2: He left all of that out. It's absolutely I mean,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it's insane. It's too stupid a mistake for anybody to
- 8:25Speaker 2: have actually made. Nobody could make a mistake. That stupid
- 8:29Speaker 2: leaving out little Italy. Obviously, if you're doing an ethnic map,
- 8:33Speaker 2: that's the first thing you'd put down. So it was
- 8:35Speaker 2: obviously deliberate. Obviously they were deliberately leaving out little Italy.
- 8:40Speaker 2: It's absolutely crazy. He's getting nothing but flack for it.
- 8:46Speaker 2: You gotta remember, as we were saying yesterday, anti well socialism.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Wherever it's come in the world, whether it was the
- 8:53Speaker 2: Nazi Socialism National Socialist Party that was the Nazis, wherever
- 8:58Speaker 2: the socialism comes, it brings with it anti Semitism. All
- 9:03Speaker 2: ten thousand times socialism has showed up, anti Semitism comes
- 9:07Speaker 2: with it. That's how it starts. Now, eventually these type
- 9:12Speaker 2: of socialists, it's anti Semitism, and then when they get
- 9:15Speaker 2: done with that, it's anti Catholic, and then it's anti Christian.
- 9:20Speaker 2: It happens every time. Anti Semitism is just the first wave.
- 9:24Speaker 2: It's the first wave of this stuff. But it's gonna
- 9:27Speaker 2: and that's why you're gonna see this discrimination against Italians Irish,
- 9:32Speaker 2: it's anti Semitism, then it's anti Catholic, and then it's
- 9:35Speaker 2: anti Christian. That's the real objective of all of this. Now,
- 9:39Speaker 2: these Democrats are going crazy, insane with the Platner, a
- 9:44Speaker 2: Nazi rapist, this is their candidate. And then in Minnesota
- 9:49Speaker 2: you got an illegal alien who raped a child. Miss
- 9:54Speaker 2: a criminal, illegal alien who raped a ten year old girl.
- 10:00Speaker 2: This is an illegal alien. He should be deported just
- 10:04Speaker 2: for that. But he also raped a ten year old girl.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Now ICE got him and was about to deport him.
- 10:11Speaker 2: He was charged locally in Minnesota. Now listen to this.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Governor Tim Waltz pardoned the guy. Governor Tim Waltz gave
- 10:22Speaker 2: the guy a pardon and granted him clemency, which legally
- 10:27Speaker 2: takes away the criminal status that was to stop him
- 10:31Speaker 2: from being removed by Ice. Can you believe this? This
- 10:36Speaker 2: is how insane they've gotten a child rapist they pardoned him.
- 10:40Speaker 2: I mean, he was guilty as hell, they pardoned him,
- 10:42Speaker 2: gave him clemency. Well, thank thank Marco Rubio. Marco Rubio.
- 10:48Speaker 2: Everybody was looking at this case and what the what
- 10:50Speaker 2: the FEDS could do about it. Marco Rubio has stepped
- 10:52Speaker 2: in as Secretary of State and on behalf of the
- 10:55Speaker 2: State Department has officially removed this guy's legal status. So
- 11:00Speaker 2: he has absolutely no legal status now in the United States.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That means Ice can remove him. That should happen pretty fast.
- 11:10Speaker 2: So great news, great move by Marco Rubio. I mean,
- 11:14Speaker 2: this is going to be a big issue in the midterms.
- 11:19Speaker 2: The issue is going to be communism, stopping communism and
- 11:23Speaker 2: stopping this crazy nonsense where you protect illegal aliens even
- 11:27Speaker 2: if they're raping children. It's going to be a hugeish member.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Affordability was the big issue. That's not a back burner now.
- 11:36Speaker 2: As we told you in Florida, Palm Beach International Airport
- 11:39Speaker 2: is now Donald Trump International Airport and President Trump speaking
- 11:45Speaker 2: about it, putting out truth socials and tweets and pronouncements,
- 11:49Speaker 2: saying it's a great day. It's a very big day.
- 11:53Speaker 2: It's spectacular. He's playing this up because he knows it
- 11:57Speaker 2: tortures half of Florida, the left wing half. All the
- 12:00Speaker 2: left wing cooks are fuming now. Because if you're down
- 12:04Speaker 2: there and you want to go somewhere, pom Beach Airport
- 12:06Speaker 2: is the place you want to go. It's the nicest airport,
- 12:09Speaker 2: it's the easiest, it's small, it's not like the Miami Airport.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Pom Beach Airport is so easy to get in and
- 12:15Speaker 2: out of, that's the airport you want to go through.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And now many of these left wing cooks saying they
- 12:21Speaker 2: will never go into that airport. They'll drive an extra
- 12:24Speaker 2: hour or two to go to Miami Airport or Fort
- 12:27Speaker 2: Lauderdale Airport the north of there. A couple of people
- 12:30Speaker 2: said they'll drive two hours to go to Orlando Airport.
- 12:33Speaker 2: They will not go through Donald J. Trump International Airport.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It's just the torture of them.
- 12:39Speaker 4: Now.
- 12:39Speaker 2: The other thing is to get there, you got to
- 12:41Speaker 2: take Donald J. Trump Boulevard, which has them fuming. But
- 12:45Speaker 2: then when you get to the airport, everywhere you look
- 12:48Speaker 2: is a Donald J. Trump sign every inch of the airport.
- 12:51Speaker 2: It's killing these left wing cooks. Trump loves it. Hey,
- 12:56Speaker 2: it's not inappropriate. All over the place, all over America,
- 13:01Speaker 2: they are airport's named for presidents, usually after they're gone.
- 13:04Speaker 2: That's true. But if the president was local, There's a
- 13:08Speaker 2: George Bushy Airport in Houston. There's an Abraham Lincoln Airport
- 13:12Speaker 2: in Illinois. It's done all the time for presidents. If
- 13:17Speaker 2: you do a great shot, we have a LaGuardia Airport
- 13:19Speaker 2: named for a great mayor. It's done all the time.
- 13:24Speaker 2: He's also got the boulevard named after him. You know
- 13:27Speaker 2: how many people in the world have a boulevard a
- 13:30Speaker 2: street named after them. It's very, very unusual. Frank Sinatra
- 13:35Speaker 2: in Palm Springs, you know what his address was, Frank
- 13:39Speaker 2: Sinatra Drive. Then he had named the street after him,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and that's where his house was. Frank, if you live
- 13:44Speaker 2: on the street that's named after you, that's pretty impressive.
- 13:48Speaker 2: It's a big thing now.
- 13:49Speaker 4: John F.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Kennedy course no longer with us, but you've got a
- 13:52Speaker 2: Kennedy airport, you got a Kennedy Center, you got so
- 13:55Speaker 2: much Kennedy stuff in again, it's done all the time,
- 13:59Speaker 2: and it's great to drive the left crazy. Hey, remind
- 14:03Speaker 2: me to get to this. You know, we've been talking
- 14:04Speaker 2: about these e bikes and all these bikes. They're the
- 14:08Speaker 2: most reckless, crazy, dangerous things all over and there's so
- 14:11Speaker 2: busy torturing cars. They don't realize all the pedestrian accidents
- 14:15Speaker 2: and trouble comes from the bikes, especially the e bikes,
- 14:18Speaker 2: because they're so fast. Give them, make them get licenses,
- 14:22Speaker 2: make them, give them tickets all the time. Stop the recklessness.
- 14:27Speaker 2: By the way, you'd make a fortune if they all
- 14:29Speaker 2: had to get licenses then have to renew them every year.
- 14:31Speaker 2: If they were all paying tickets all the time, incredible
- 14:34Speaker 2: source of revenue. New York won't do it. Well, New
- 14:37Speaker 2: Jersey has done it. It starts in I think a
- 14:41Speaker 2: week and a half being enforced in New Jersey. Now,
- 14:44Speaker 2: e bike, you got to get a license, you can
- 14:46Speaker 2: get tickets, you got to get permits. It's a great thing.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Watch what they do. It'll be a model for the
- 14:52Speaker 2: rest of the country. If New York had any sense,
- 14:56Speaker 2: they would do that and would bring in a ton
- 14:58Speaker 2: of revenue. You wouldn't need congestion in pricing, you wouldn't
- 15:00Speaker 2: need all that crap. But hey, we'll get back to it.
- 15:03Speaker 2: We'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:07Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:11Speaker 2: one zero seven ten.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Set up pre said on the iHeartRadio app to dou
- 15:15Speaker 1: wor to hear Mark live. Set another for Mark's podcast
- 15:20Speaker 1: to hear him any time. Now back to Mark Simon
- 15:24Speaker 1: on woor.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred and three two
- 15:29Speaker 2: one zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to
- 15:32Speaker 2: Josh in Palm Beach. Josh, how you doing, Hey, Mark,
- 15:36Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 15:37Speaker 5: I wanted to I question asked you. I was a
- 15:39Speaker 5: sense of SID this morning, and he had Michael Cohen on,
- 15:42Speaker 5: and he said that he patched things up with Donald Trump.
- 15:45Speaker 6: Is have you heard anything about that?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yes, that's true, they've patched things up. What are you
- 15:52Speaker 2: listening to the SID for? Why aren't you listening to Curtis
- 15:54Speaker 2: and Larry? Where do you go?
- 15:58Speaker 4: He left?
- 15:59Speaker 2: I mean, I like SID, but he's supposed to listen
- 16:01Speaker 2: to Curtis and Ley.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 16:03Speaker 2: Michael Cohen, or as he would say, Michael Cohen is
- 16:06Speaker 2: so going to do a radio now. He apparently said
- 16:11Speaker 2: this this morning. Uh, he's gonna be the next Rush Limbaugh.
- 16:20Speaker 2: That's like me saying I'm gonna be the next Aaron Judge.
- 16:22Speaker 2: He's gonna be the next Rush Loombo. Even though he
- 16:25Speaker 2: talks like this, he's gonna be the next Rush Loombo.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Uh you know, well, I think he's gonna be the
- 16:30Speaker 2: next Andrew Cuomo, who now holds the record for the
- 16:33Speaker 2: worst radio show ever. It only lasted about seven weeks. Uh, listen,
- 16:39Speaker 2: he's not a bad guy, Michael Cohen, And if the
- 16:41Speaker 2: President wants to forgive him, I guess we should too.
- 16:43Speaker 2: But him doing a radio show is like me opening
- 16:47Speaker 2: a law firm. It's not gonna work. Let's go to
- 16:50Speaker 2: Rich and Myrtle Beach Rich, how you doing.
- 16:53Speaker 5: Hey, thanks, Mark, appreciate it. You know, besides the press
- 16:57Speaker 5: being the enemy of the state, our Senate has become
- 17:00Speaker 5: in the state. John Soon has done absolutely nothing. Fifty
- 17:04Speaker 5: bills of sitting in Congress that haven't been approved. He's
- 17:06Speaker 5: done no federal judge ships for Donald Trump. He's fighting
- 17:10Speaker 5: Trump all the way by doing one of these silent
- 17:12Speaker 5: quitting jobs. The guy has an absolute disgrace and needs
- 17:15Speaker 5: to be replaced.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yeah, but the problem is you're right, You're right, but
- 17:19Speaker 2: you're right behind him. He got a million people just
- 17:21Speaker 2: as bad. It's they all stink, these Democrats, these Republicans.
- 17:24Speaker 5: Then Senate Congress, you have the role to which are
- 17:26Speaker 5: doing everything they can to screw the people. Look at
- 17:29Speaker 5: the gas prices and everything else going on here. But
- 17:32Speaker 5: John Thuon just another Mitch McConnell. Least, when Mitch McConnell's
- 17:36Speaker 5: wife became the Secretary of Transportation, McConnell was very good.
- 17:40Speaker 5: They got a lot of federal judges passed under Donald Trump.
- 17:43Speaker 5: John Soon has done zero judges.
- 17:45Speaker 2: No, he's horrible. We got it, we got it, got
- 17:48Speaker 2: we got it, we got it. No, he's horrible. But
- 17:50Speaker 2: the problem is Democrats and Republicans in Congress, all they
- 17:54Speaker 2: do is try to do favors, collect the donations, take
- 17:58Speaker 2: care of.
- 17:58Speaker 7: Talk talk talk talk talk.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Well, they got their own business. Like Schumer, he's just
- 18:02Speaker 2: donor service all day long. Nothing else that he's worried
- 18:06Speaker 2: about it. Now, they're all terrible. Democrats and Republicans just
- 18:09Speaker 2: as bad in the Senate. Let's go to Robert in Westchester. Robert,
- 18:13Speaker 2: how you doing, Good morning.
- 18:15Speaker 8: Mark, and thank you for taking my call. Mark. If
- 18:18Speaker 8: the Republicans, the party itself, had any brains, they would
- 18:22Speaker 8: put on a constant loop nationwide when that poor mother
- 18:26Speaker 8: and father who lost their child, who was going to
- 18:28Speaker 8: Liola that congressional meeting and what that silp of a
- 18:32Speaker 8: congresswoman said, it's terrible what happened, but that wood should
- 18:37Speaker 8: have never been applied. Furthermore, in Minnesota, they should put
- 18:41Speaker 8: what Tim Walst died on a constant loop.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Yeah, they do, well, they do, they do, they do.
- 18:46Speaker 2: That's how you heard about it, and that's why you
- 18:49Speaker 2: know about it. And they do, they do all this stuff. Well,
- 18:51Speaker 2: you got to remember, if you're watching Fox or Newsmax,
- 18:55Speaker 2: or you're watching Reading, you'll hear about this. But if
- 18:58Speaker 2: you're watching regular fake news, you're not going to ever
- 19:01Speaker 2: hear about it. Let's go to Jack in Putnam Valley. Jack,
- 19:04Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 19:06Speaker 8: Good morning? Good morning?
- 19:08Speaker 2: Y's Jack?
- 19:10Speaker 8: Hell? Mark?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Jack, Well, he tried, he tried, He made a
- 19:19Speaker 2: good effort, but somehow talking to the phone confused him
- 19:22Speaker 2: a little. Let's go to David and Queen's David, how
- 19:25Speaker 2: you doing.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Hey, Mark, Good morning, Mark. The Irish and Italians built
- 19:30Speaker 7: the city of New York. There was absolutely no question
- 19:32Speaker 7: about that. This guy from Uganda is only going to
- 19:36Speaker 7: destroy the city. I don't know any contributions that any
- 19:40Speaker 7: of those countries that he gained on his map.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Well, they brought socialism here, They brought a lot of
- 19:48Speaker 2: stuff here. Now, you're right, the Italian what would we do?
- 19:51Speaker 2: What would we eat if it weren't for the Italians?
- 19:54Speaker 2: And if it weren't for the Irish, how would we
- 19:56Speaker 2: have parades? We need them for that?
- 19:59Speaker 7: I mean, it's Nick Eliangelo, Da Vinci, Marconi. The list
- 20:02Speaker 7: goes on and on and on, I don't know what
- 20:04Speaker 7: Uganda has given up.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Thank you Marcha well Edie.
- 20:07Speaker 2: I mean that's about it. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 20:11Speaker 2: how you doing, Mark, you're correcting me up. Good morning, Matra.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Mayor Bucker Bucky beaver face. Mandami not only did he
- 20:19Speaker 3: live out leave out the traditional Italian neighborhoods and the
- 20:24Speaker 3: Irish neighborhoods like a Boston post road for the road,
- 20:28Speaker 3: he also on purpose left out the original traditional Jewish
- 20:33Speaker 3: neighborhoods down de Lansa Street has the street and also
- 20:37Speaker 3: this little Pakistan that he talks about, Well, my car
- 20:42Speaker 3: dealership is not far from where this little Pakistan is.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And that used to be a Jewish neighbor that used
- 20:48Speaker 3: to be an Askenazi Jewish neighbor. Now it's a dump
- 20:52Speaker 3: you go with. I have to go pick up my car,
- 20:54Speaker 3: feedny work or anything like that. You think you're in
- 20:57Speaker 3: the Middle East. You see all these these women with
- 21:00Speaker 3: these black towels on that they must stink like goats.
- 21:04Speaker 3: That all these men are walking around with their uh
- 21:08Speaker 3: dyed Hannah head. They dye theirhead at red Hannah collor.
- 21:13Speaker 3: And this week down in a little Lialy. I heard
- 21:16Speaker 3: the president of the Italian American and Cultural Association say
- 21:21Speaker 3: down a little literally this Sunday, there's gonna be a
- 21:24Speaker 3: big protest against Mayor Bucky beaver Face. And as the
- 21:29Speaker 3: other caller said, uh, what did these people contribute aside
- 21:34Speaker 3: from falafel and shishka Bob to the making of the
- 21:37Speaker 3: United States?
- 21:39Speaker 2: I understand you saying, and I've never have you ever
- 21:41Speaker 2: heard anybody say, uh, let's go to little Pakistan to
- 21:44Speaker 2: eat tonight.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Hell, you go to Nicole, as you go to South.
- 21:50Speaker 2: You go to Ye Patsy Nicole A million times said
- 21:54Speaker 2: let's go eat and little Lily. Nobody ever said let's
- 21:57Speaker 2: go to Little Odessa to That's another one of his neighborhoods.
- 22:00Speaker 3: He's talking about a dumps And what about the Jewish
- 22:04Speaker 3: neighborhood down at the Brighton Beach where God mister Katsamatids
- 22:09Speaker 3: is redeveloping the neighborhood there. There's a lot of places
- 22:13Speaker 3: that he purposely left out to shame those people, to
- 22:17Speaker 3: shame our community. Because we are Europeans who came here
- 22:23Speaker 3: and who loved this country and integrated into this country.
- 22:28Speaker 3: We have we gotta go walking around with bed sheets
- 22:30Speaker 3: on the man.
- 22:31Speaker 2: All right, so we got to go through the news.
- 22:33Speaker 2: But I know what you're saying, Thanks for thanks for calling.
- 22:36Speaker 2: When we come back. Roger Friedman, the great entertainment reporter.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about. Next on seven to ten,
- 22:42Speaker 2: wore you know what's why?
- 22:45Speaker 1: He tells you Why Mark Simone, He's on sevent ten WI.
- 22:55Speaker 2: Well, hey, we're looking for Roger Friedman. The Taylor Swift
- 22:59Speaker 2: wedding Madison Square Garden. You remember kept hearing a million
- 23:03Speaker 2: two million. All sorts of people are now saying it
- 23:08Speaker 2: was more like thirty million, the whole thing. Thirty million
- 23:12Speaker 2: for the wedding. Yeah, apparently even the flowers, the flowers
- 23:19Speaker 2: and decor were five million, you know, like real flowers,
- 23:23Speaker 2: real trees, all this stuff. So all of that was
- 23:26Speaker 2: five million. Now, the average wedding in America. How much
- 23:31Speaker 2: you think the average wedding costs in America? Now I'm
- 23:34Speaker 2: not talking about New York City and a ballroom. The
- 23:37Speaker 2: average wedding costs in America thirty four thousand. So this
- 23:40Speaker 2: would have been about thirty million. Five million florals in decor.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Catering was about two point five million, eleven hundred guests.
- 23:51Speaker 2: But they didn't just have a caterer come in and
- 23:53Speaker 2: just catered that. They wanted all kinds of special things.
- 23:56Speaker 2: There's a special mozzarella place. They had to get it
- 23:59Speaker 2: from there. There's they wanted a certain pizza for the
- 24:04Speaker 2: the cocktail party, and they got that. So hey, oh
- 24:07Speaker 2: we got Roger Freeman. We'll get back to that. Roger Freeman,
- 24:10Speaker 2: the great entertainment reporter. Showbiz for one one dot com
- 24:15Speaker 2: is his website. Check it out every day Showbiz for
- 24:18Speaker 2: one one dot com. Roger Friedman, how you doing?
- 24:21Speaker 4: There are so many listeners that when I don't come
- 24:24Speaker 4: on on time, I start to get messages why aren't
- 24:27Speaker 4: you on? No, why aren't you on? They can't find
- 24:29Speaker 4: Roger Friedman.
- 24:32Speaker 2: You know why I am excited today the new Rolling
- 24:35Speaker 2: Stones album comes out. You know why it means so
- 24:37Speaker 2: much to me?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 24:39Speaker 2: It is because down the whole Q and O four
- 24:41Speaker 2: in honor of this, they got buffets all over the place.
- 24:43Speaker 2: There's so much food. Really, yes, celebrating this. I should
- 24:47Speaker 2: come right over. Yeah.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Well, I'll tell you what. It's a great album. It's
- 24:52Speaker 4: called Foreign Tongues, and the Stones marketing people have done
- 24:57Speaker 4: an amazing job. There's so many hit singles on it.
- 25:02Speaker 4: There's a song called Mister Charm that everyone's going to
- 25:04Speaker 4: go crazy for. There's fourteen songs and they've never sounded better.
- 25:11Speaker 4: This is the craziest thing, you know. This is their
- 25:14Speaker 4: sixty second year in business and they've never sounded better.
- 25:18Speaker 4: They put on just Ronnie Wood and Mick Jagger put
- 25:22Speaker 4: on a little show the other night in London in
- 25:25Speaker 4: like a coffee cocktail thing where they played you Can't
- 25:29Speaker 4: Always Get what you Want and a couple of the
- 25:31Speaker 4: new songs and you know it just played them acoustically
- 25:34Speaker 4: and they sounded fresher than ever. So it's amazing, better
- 25:39Speaker 4: than ever. It's really crazy. Yeah. You know, some people
- 25:43Speaker 4: are having trouble keeping their voices or getting their voices back,
- 25:47Speaker 4: and Mick Jaggers had no problems whatsoever. He just keeps
- 25:52Speaker 4: doing it and he's not being augmented it anyway, because
- 25:55Speaker 4: he was live the other night in this little you know,
- 25:58Speaker 4: coffee thing and cocktail thing and he sounds great. So
- 26:03Speaker 4: I don't know how they're doing it. You know, this
- 26:06Speaker 4: was a group known for drugs and now they're known
- 26:08Speaker 4: for vitamins. Wow, so you know they know what they're doing.
- 26:12Speaker 2: Yeah, they always have these things, you know, how to
- 26:14Speaker 2: live longer, what you should eat, how you should can
- 26:16Speaker 2: maintain what health nutrition. These guys prove all of that wrong,
- 26:19Speaker 2: all of them.
- 26:21Speaker 4: Well. Keith certainly did have problems for a long time,
- 26:26Speaker 4: although now he's very clean and sort of you know,
- 26:29Speaker 4: he espouses you know, good living. He's in New York,
- 26:33Speaker 4: so he didn't go to the Linden thing. Nick was
- 26:37Speaker 4: never a big druggie and he's always been into exercise,
- 26:40Speaker 4: and look how lean and mean he is. But they're
- 26:45Speaker 4: terrific and they're going to have the number one album
- 26:48Speaker 4: by the end of the day and everyone should get it.
- 26:52Speaker 4: I tell you, I love this song, mister charm. I
- 26:55Speaker 4: really think that's gonna be a big hit. And they've
- 26:58Speaker 4: got seven tracks this morning on the iTunes top one hundred,
- 27:03Speaker 4: which is crazy. That's completely crazy.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Now, how do you compare it to the new Paul
- 27:08Speaker 2: McCartney album.
- 27:10Speaker 4: You know, they're both produced by this guy, Andrew Watt,
- 27:13Speaker 4: who also works with Lady Gaga and is a very
- 27:16Speaker 4: talented producer, and he knows how to get the best
- 27:19Speaker 4: at of all these people. The Paul McCartney album is
- 27:22Speaker 4: also very very good. Dungeon Lane, Boys of Dungeon Lane.
- 27:26Speaker 4: I'm enjoying all the tracks on it. There's one called
- 27:29Speaker 4: Loss to Horizon be a single, and you know, these
- 27:34Speaker 4: guys are really they're proving themselves this summer. Even Madonna
- 27:40Speaker 4: has a gigantic kid with her Confessions album. Carly Simon's
- 27:45Speaker 4: coming with a big her first album in eighteen years
- 27:47Speaker 4: in August. Yes No. And there's a song now on
- 27:51Speaker 4: that she's put out on YouTube called Howell that's maybe
- 27:55Speaker 4: one of the best songs she's ever written. So you see,
- 27:58Speaker 4: there's a renaissance here. These guys are all reclaiming their
- 28:01Speaker 4: legacies and it's fun to watch.
- 28:05Speaker 2: So why all of a sudden this year, Why all
- 28:08Speaker 2: of a sudden, now did they all come up?
- 28:10Speaker 4: I think all of a sudden they all looked around
- 28:12Speaker 4: and said, you know, these young people do not have
- 28:14Speaker 4: staying power, and we can do it. Also, the young
- 28:17Speaker 4: acts like Taylor Swift always cites Carly Simon as one
- 28:20Speaker 4: of her influences. The rock bands all you know, everybody
- 28:24Speaker 4: cites Paul McCartney and the Rolling Stones, And I think
- 28:27Speaker 4: that these groups know that they have a responsibility to show,
- 28:31Speaker 4: you know, what it is that being talked about and
- 28:33Speaker 4: being heralded so much. We'll see more of it before
- 28:37Speaker 4: the end of the year. All right. It's nice. They're
- 28:40Speaker 4: real musicians and they're also playing real music. You know,
- 28:42Speaker 4: there's a lot of AI on the charts right now.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Spotify is trying to weed out the AI songs. That's
- 28:51Speaker 4: a big problem on streaming. There's a lot of fake stuff.
- 28:54Speaker 4: So the real thing. I heard last night bon Jovi
- 28:58Speaker 4: played the Madison Square Garden and I was coming home
- 29:01Speaker 4: on the train and I heard these people all raving
- 29:04Speaker 4: about the show. And he's gotten his voice back. He's
- 29:07Speaker 4: better than ever. Paul McCartney was in the audience. So
- 29:12Speaker 4: even bon Jovi's having this big, you know, renaissance, so
- 29:17Speaker 4: you know, and I'm hoping that we'll see Steven Tyler
- 29:19Speaker 4: and Aerosmith at some point, but ok, oh no, I
- 29:24Speaker 4: love Steven Tyler. I'd love to hear them come back.
- 29:28Speaker 4: But it's great. You know, it's just great and the
- 29:32Speaker 4: songs mean something to people.
- 29:34Speaker 3: You know.
- 29:36Speaker 4: Chicago Saturday in the Park fourth, you know, it was
- 29:40Speaker 4: the fourth of July. This past fourth of July was
- 29:43Speaker 4: the first and last Saturday that July fourth has hit
- 29:46Speaker 4: on in years and it won't come back until twenty
- 29:48Speaker 4: thirty seven. It sent the song Saturday in the Park
- 29:51Speaker 4: up to number one on iTunes for the day, which
- 29:54Speaker 4: was really funny. I'm sure the group got a good
- 29:56Speaker 4: laugh out of that. Yeah, so you know, everything's rocking.
- 30:00Speaker 4: Everybody's good. I saw a great Broadway show last night.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Which was Smiga doing, Oh well, everybody's raving about that.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Doing everyone's raving. I finally, you know, I sort of
- 30:13Speaker 4: passed it up when it was first opening because I thought, oh,
- 30:15Speaker 4: it's like that TV show they had.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Wait a minute, there was an opening you didn't go to.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I don't belok.
- 30:20Speaker 4: I didn't go to it. I think I went to
- 30:22Speaker 4: some movie thing and I said, I was swiggering, I'll
- 30:25Speaker 4: catch up with it. Of course, I won the Tony Award,
- 30:27Speaker 4: and I finally saw it last night, and I got
- 30:31Speaker 4: to tell you, it's completely sold out. It's absolutely hilarious.
- 30:36Speaker 9: Uh.
- 30:36Speaker 4: It's a send up of all the Rogers and Hammerstein
- 30:39Speaker 4: and all the classic musicals you know from the forties
- 30:41Speaker 4: and fifties. But it's very clever and the audience, I
- 30:45Speaker 4: got to say, the audience you know some I don't
- 30:48Speaker 4: often sit in an audience with completely where I don't
- 30:50Speaker 4: know anybody. I have to say, this was a cross
- 30:53Speaker 4: section of America. It was every size, shape, color, gender, everything,
- 31:00Speaker 4: and they loved it. They were they were The applause
- 31:04Speaker 4: was thunderous. And this was on a Thursday night with
- 31:06Speaker 4: regular people. So it shows you the show's a hit.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Yeah no, but for you you always go to the
- 31:12Speaker 2: opening where the whole audience is your fellow jaded media elitist.
- 31:15Speaker 2: This was an actual, real people.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Or investors who put money into the show. So of
- 31:22Speaker 4: course they're clapping very loudly. But last night it was
- 31:24Speaker 4: just like I'm telling you. I was waiting with and
- 31:27Speaker 4: I was waiting for a friend with one of the
- 31:29Speaker 4: ushers in the lobby, and we're seeing the people pour
- 31:33Speaker 4: in from the outside line and I said, gee, this
- 31:35Speaker 4: really is This is everyone that you can't beat it.
- 31:39Speaker 4: It's so hysterical. That's a great thing about Broadway. It's
- 31:43Speaker 4: very egalitarian. It's not it's it's not a stuffy place.
- 31:48Speaker 4: It's you see everything and everyone. People on walkers, wheelchairs, burneys.
- 31:52Speaker 4: They're coming, you know, they'll they'll come in any form. Well,
- 31:56Speaker 4: it is.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Broadways kind of designed for tourists nowadays. I mean that
- 31:59Speaker 2: would gets well.
- 32:00Speaker 4: No, I think there are a lot of There were
- 32:01Speaker 4: a lot of New Yorkers. I heard a lot of
- 32:02Speaker 4: New York accents on the line. So no, there were
- 32:05Speaker 4: a lot of New Yorkers waiting to get inside.
- 32:07Speaker 2: But they're from Long Island. That counts as tourists. No,
- 32:10Speaker 2: those are the tourists from.
- 32:11Speaker 4: The Upper West Side. They're from the Upper West Side
- 32:15Speaker 4: where people shouldn't be from.
- 32:16Speaker 2: Those are the investors, you know, those investors that go yeahs,
- 32:23Speaker 2: those rich housewives that infest so we only get a
- 32:28Speaker 2: few seconds. Broadway overall is doing well, isn't it.
- 32:31Speaker 4: Yeah, it's doing pretty good.
- 32:33Speaker 7: You know.
- 32:33Speaker 4: There are a few shows closed, but they were they
- 32:36Speaker 4: were not shows that were meant to be. And there's
- 32:39Speaker 4: a lot of stuff that's booming and a lot of
- 32:41Speaker 4: stuff coming this fall that's going to be very hot.
- 32:44Speaker 4: So Broadway never dies. They always say Broadway's dying, it's over, yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 4: and always rallies when the new season starts.
- 32:53Speaker 2: That's good to hear. It's very important for New York.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Well.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Roger Freeman, great stuff. Thanks for all the updates on
- 32:59Speaker 2: all the music, get the Stone's new album, and get
- 33:01Speaker 2: Mister Charm. Listen to that first, and get the Carly
- 33:04Speaker 2: Simon song. It's called Howell. It's on YouTube. You'll love it,
- 33:06Speaker 2: all right, you'll absolutely love it. Sounds good, and everybody

- 33:33Speaker 2: night nine to midnight on seven to ten Wlive.
- 33:37Speaker 1: From the WR Life Back Studios. Mark Simon, well, hey,
- 33:43Speaker 1: not a bad day to day.
- 33:44Speaker 2: It's supposed to be a lot more rain. It changed
- 33:46Speaker 2: the forecast. There'll be a chance of a shower at
- 33:48Speaker 2: thundershower around five o'clock, around seven o'clock, but otherwise not
- 33:54Speaker 2: bad and I'm bad a sunny day, little rain Tomorrow,
- 33:56Speaker 2: Sunday is going to be beautiful, perfect Tomorrow shouldn't be
- 33:59Speaker 2: too bad. Hey, coming up in the next hour, Bruce
- 34:02Speaker 2: Blakeman will be with us. We'll talk to him. He's
- 34:04Speaker 2: going to be the next governor of New York. We
- 34:06Speaker 2: all hope could start to turn things around save New York.
- 34:11Speaker 2: Lots to talk to him about. We'll get to that
- 34:13Speaker 2: in the next hour. Now, I'm here every day ten
- 34:16Speaker 2: to noon, right here on seven to ten.
- 34:19Speaker 1: Wr back to Mark simone onor this is.
- 34:24Speaker 2: Just starting to come out. You remember the law their against
- 34:27Speaker 2: President Trump while he was out of office, done by
- 34:31Speaker 2: that dirty, dirty probably the dirtiest Attorney General we ever had,
- 34:35Speaker 2: Merrick Garland. Now, it was basically it started with three cases.
- 34:41Speaker 2: It was the Alvin Bragg case in New York, which
- 34:44Speaker 2: was the most sleazy, oddball case ever brought by anybody anywhere.
- 34:51Speaker 2: They were just trying to get Trump. Even Alan Dershwitz,
- 34:55Speaker 2: the great legal scholar, said he's read the case one
- 34:57Speaker 2: hundred times, still can't figure out what the charge is.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Then there was the Letitia James case where she went
- 35:04Speaker 2: after him for he got a loan from Bank of
- 35:08Speaker 2: America and she claimed he defrauded them. And it's a
- 35:14Speaker 2: crime that actually would be impossible to commit because when
- 35:19Speaker 2: you borrow eight hundred million from a major bank, even
- 35:22Speaker 2: when you borrow eight thousand, But when you borrow eight
- 35:24Speaker 2: hundred million, they don't look at your numbers. You could
- 35:27Speaker 2: tell them this is my value of my properties. They
- 35:31Speaker 2: don't even look at it. They do, they send their
- 35:32Speaker 2: own appraisers. They never even look at your numbers. It
- 35:35Speaker 2: says right in the thing, we're not going to look
- 35:37Speaker 2: at your numbers. And President Trump in his numbers said,
- 35:40Speaker 2: don't go by these numbers. Do your own evaluation. You
- 35:42Speaker 2: couldn't even commit the crime if you tried. That was
- 35:45Speaker 2: the Letitia James case. And then uh, you had back on.
- 35:50Speaker 2: And then he had Georgia. Remember that Fanny Willis, Fannie Willis,
- 35:54Speaker 2: whatever her name was. And it turns out that in
- 35:59Speaker 2: all of these case, in the case of the Georgia prosecutor,
- 36:02Speaker 2: and Fannie Willis that case, and the guy she had
- 36:04Speaker 2: with her, they were meeting with the White House. I mean,
- 36:08Speaker 2: this is a local prosecutor, a local case in Georgia,
- 36:11Speaker 2: but they're flying to the White House. Then the guy
- 36:14Speaker 2: recorded that they had eight hour meetings, two of them
- 36:17Speaker 2: eight hour meetings in the White House. Well, obviously they're
- 36:21Speaker 2: coordinating the cases with the White House. Obviously, if you
- 36:25Speaker 2: have an eight hour meeting in the White House, you
- 36:26Speaker 2: weren't there to say hello and meet and greet and
- 36:29Speaker 2: take a picture. Eight hour meetings. They were working on
- 36:33Speaker 2: the case and Letsia James was talking with the White House. Now,
- 36:38Speaker 2: in the case of Alvin Bragg, Merrick Garland's top guy,
- 36:43Speaker 2: who number two guy left the Justice Department and came
- 36:48Speaker 2: to work in Alvin Bragg's office to run the case.
- 36:53Speaker 2: Now that's awfully suspicious. You got the biggest job under
- 36:57Speaker 2: the Attorney General in the Department of Justice in Washington.
- 37:01Speaker 2: You leave that to go work in a local prosecutor's
- 37:04Speaker 2: office somewhere. It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't pass
- 37:08Speaker 2: the smell test or the laugh test. So this guy
- 37:12Speaker 2: was Michael Colangelo, and he left. He was number two
- 37:16Speaker 2: guy to Merrick Garland, the very dirty Attorney General. Colangelo
- 37:21Speaker 2: left and joined Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office, which
- 37:26Speaker 2: nobody in the right mind would do. I mean, even
- 37:30Speaker 2: if you thought highly of the Manhattan DA's office, it's
- 37:33Speaker 2: brand new Alvin Bragg, who nobody took seriously and nobody
- 37:36Speaker 2: would want to work for. So he came there to
- 37:39Speaker 2: the office to run this case, and we know that
- 37:42Speaker 2: Colangelo was He was even in court standing up arguing
- 37:45Speaker 2: the case. So he was came from Washington, came to
- 37:49Speaker 2: the Manhattan DIA's office to personally prosecute Donald Trump. Well,
- 37:53Speaker 2: now stuff is coming out about him. We're finding out
- 37:56Speaker 2: he was involved in all kinds of other federal cases
- 37:58Speaker 2: against President Trump. So this was basically he was like
- 38:02Speaker 2: a Jack Smith where he'd spent his career as a
- 38:04Speaker 2: hitman going after political enemies, people he hated, So he
- 38:09Speaker 2: was after Trump all along. Stuff is starting to come out.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Hopefully the Justice Department, the real one now, not the
- 38:16Speaker 2: dirty Merrick Garland Justice Department. Hopefully the real Justice Department
- 38:21Speaker 2: starts investigating Michael Colangelo, take a good hard look at
- 38:25Speaker 2: him and lay out everything that he did, because it's
- 38:29Speaker 2: pretty bad. Hey, the World Trade Center, it's twenty five
- 38:33Speaker 2: years later, twenty fifth anniversary coming up of nine to eleven,
- 38:37Speaker 2: and twenty five years later, the final piece of the
- 38:40Speaker 2: puzzle is coming back Building two, World Trade Center. That's
- 38:45Speaker 2: the one that's still missing. Coming back Building two at
- 38:49Speaker 2: the World Trade Center broke ground yesterday. This is going
- 38:53Speaker 2: to be a twelve hundred foot tower. That's a real
- 38:59Speaker 2: serious skuy and it's going to be American Express. American
- 39:06Speaker 2: in fact, they're going to own the whole building. It'll
- 39:09Speaker 2: be it's not gonna it's gonna take a while twenty
- 39:12Speaker 2: thirty one, that's five years to build it, but it
- 39:15Speaker 2: will be the American Express building. They'll own it, they'll
- 39:18Speaker 2: be the main tenant. Now, the good news is it
- 39:22Speaker 2: shows you a major company like American Express has faith
- 39:25Speaker 2: in New York and wants to put a massive skyscraper here.
- 39:29Speaker 2: And it's going to a huge, huge, huge headquarters right here. Remember,
- 39:34Speaker 2: right after nine to eleven, in the year that followed,
- 39:38Speaker 2: everybody said two things. They said, nobody will ever live
- 39:40Speaker 2: downtown there ever again, and nobody will ever be up
- 39:46Speaker 2: at the top of a sky glass skyscraper. Well, obviously
- 39:49Speaker 2: none of that was true.
- 39:50Speaker 4: Go down there.
- 39:51Speaker 2: It's as crowded as ever. And this building going up
- 39:54Speaker 2: is the final piece of the World Trade Center puzzle.
- 39:56Speaker 2: Coming back, Mayor Mom, Donnie. He was down there for
- 40:01Speaker 2: the groundbreaking.
- 40:02Speaker 10: For many months, rubble filled a site that had long
- 40:04Speaker 10: been defined by greatness, But over the months and years
- 40:08Speaker 10: that followed, greatness returned it returned in the first responders
- 40:12Speaker 10: who sacrificed so much on behalf of their fellow New Yorkers.
- 40:16Speaker 10: It returned and those who cleared the pile and the
- 40:18Speaker 10: new foundations. It returned in the first office workers who
- 40:22Speaker 10: came back to work, And it returns today as we
- 40:25Speaker 10: break ground on a new building that will rise one thousand,
- 40:28Speaker 10: two hundred and twenty six feet into the sky.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah, this is not one thing he does well, these
- 40:34Speaker 2: little speeches. However, if you, let's say you were around
- 40:38Speaker 2: in two thousand and one and all of a sudden
- 40:39Speaker 2: you came back in a time machine, you came here,
- 40:42Speaker 2: saw this guy speaking, you'd say, who's this guy? You
- 40:44Speaker 2: would never think this kid is the mayor. I mean no,
- 40:48Speaker 2: in normal circumstances, he would be like on the staff
- 40:51Speaker 2: of the mayor. He'd be like a staff guy. He'd
- 40:53Speaker 2: be the advanced guy for the mayor, but currently the mayor.
- 40:56Speaker 2: But it's the one thing he does, Okay, it'd makes
- 40:57Speaker 2: those little speeches. So that's good news. Graham Plattner is
- 41:03Speaker 2: still he's gone. He suspended his campaign. That means you're out.
- 41:07Speaker 2: You got to officially tell the party take my name
- 41:11Speaker 2: off everything. You're leaving these democrats. They they still can't
- 41:16Speaker 2: explain themselves to people. It's so embarrassing. How the hell
- 41:20Speaker 2: did you back a Nazi rapist with a big Nazi
- 41:24Speaker 2: SS death camp tattoo right on his chest? You're back
- 41:27Speaker 2: the Nazi rapist? I mean, just look at the guy.
- 41:29Speaker 2: He looks like the killer in Cape Fear. He looks
- 41:31Speaker 2: like a total nut job. How did you back that guy?
- 41:34Speaker 2: They keep asking these people.
- 41:35Speaker 11: Graham told me point blank that there was nothing in
- 41:38Speaker 11: his past that I had to worry about. And you know,
- 41:42Speaker 11: he lied to me, and he lied to a autos.
- 41:46Speaker 2: He looks like a deranged lunatic. That wasn't enough for you. Uh,
- 41:50Speaker 2: And then I mean listen, he says, they can't explain themselves, So.
- 41:53Speaker 4: Why did you stay with him for so long?
- 41:56Speaker 2: Well?
- 41:58Speaker 11: The Nazi tattoo in the Reddit posts, I mean I
- 42:03Speaker 11: didn't know. I mean, I haven't never been on Reddit,
- 42:06Speaker 11: but you know, when people talked about those things, and
- 42:09Speaker 11: then he turned around and said, you know that these
- 42:11Speaker 11: were times whenever they were dark for him, and you
- 42:14Speaker 11: know he'd grown and all this stuff. I mean, they
- 42:17Speaker 11: were you know, a different time period for him, and
- 42:20Speaker 11: I understood, you know, that people can change.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean they kind of a long haired hippie
- 42:26Speaker 2: and then they cut their hair, put on a suit
- 42:28Speaker 2: and you can change like that. But massive Nazi tattoo
- 42:31Speaker 2: in the middle of your chest. You go to any
- 42:34Speaker 2: job interview with a massive Nazi tattoo right in the
- 42:37Speaker 2: middle of your chest. I don't think you're getting a job,
- 42:40Speaker 2: except if it's Democrats. If it's Democrats, they'll take you. Hey,
- 42:44Speaker 2: this legionnaire's disease. I talked to a couple of people. Oh,
- 42:49Speaker 2: I was afraid to come to New York. They're in
- 42:50Speaker 2: the suburbs. Well, what do you whoa that legionnaire's disease? Well,
- 42:53Speaker 2: first of all, it's only a couple of neighborhoods on
- 42:56Speaker 2: the Upper east Side. It's not midtown Manhattan, it's not
- 42:59Speaker 2: down town. It's just in a couple of neighborhoods in
- 43:03Speaker 2: Manhattan Upper east Side. It's in the water tanks above
- 43:08Speaker 2: the building. You know, when they think that it's in
- 43:11Speaker 2: one of these water tanks, then they clean it and
- 43:13Speaker 2: the city council speaker Julie Menin now yelling and screaming,
- 43:16Speaker 2: you got to do it to every building on the
- 43:18Speaker 2: Upper eas side's got to do their water tank. It
- 43:20Speaker 2: affects the elderly. This is the city council speaker Julie
- 43:23Speaker 2: Menin very.
- 43:24Speaker 12: Elderly population on the East Side, many seniors who will
- 43:27Speaker 12: be more susceptible and vulnerable to legionnaires. Legionaires is potentially
- 43:31Speaker 12: fatal in ten percent of all cases. So every day
- 43:34Speaker 12: that goes by that the Health Department is not ordering
- 43:37Speaker 12: the disinfecting of these buildings is another day where more
- 43:41Speaker 12: and more residents of the East Side can become sick
- 43:44Speaker 12: and potentially die.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Yeah, she's pretty good. She's saying all the buildings on
- 43:47Speaker 2: every side. Health Department has to order every building clean
- 43:50Speaker 2: out its water tank, and they should do that right away.
- 43:53Speaker 12: Every single day that they wait to mandate that these
- 43:57Speaker 12: towers be disinfected is another day that more and more
- 44:01Speaker 12: people are contracting this.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Now, if you get rid of Mom Donnie next time around,
- 44:07Speaker 2: who would be the mayor? I know Curtis wants to run.
- 44:10Speaker 2: I don't know who else would be running on the
- 44:11Speaker 2: Republican side, certainly not Cuomo, who has proven beyond any
- 44:16Speaker 2: shadow of doubt he is absolutely unelectable. But if you're
- 44:22Speaker 2: going to get stuck with a Democrat. Again, a lot
- 44:24Speaker 2: of people like this, Julie Mennon, kind of a common
- 44:27Speaker 2: sense a city council speaker. The city controller is a
- 44:30Speaker 2: guy named Mark Levine. He's the Controller of New York City.
- 44:35Speaker 2: We had a luncheon yesterday where he was the speaker.
- 44:38Speaker 2: He was quite impressive, I mean dazzling. Not only a
- 44:43Speaker 2: great speech, but nobody knows the city better than this guy.
- 44:46Speaker 2: He's been a lot of things. Started as a math
- 44:49Speaker 2: teacher in the Bronx, but he's been on the city
- 44:52Speaker 2: council for years. He was Manhattan Borough President. It's done
- 44:55Speaker 2: a lot of government work. But he really impressed the crowd.
- 44:58Speaker 2: It's a Democrat, but common sense, reasonable democrat. So keep
- 45:04Speaker 2: an eye on him, Mark Levine. He would be a
- 45:06Speaker 2: good mayoral candidate for the Democrats. Mark Levine, great talker, smart, charming,
- 45:14Speaker 2: all that stuff. I don't know how you do this,
- 45:18Speaker 2: but you know, when Mom Donnie's term is up, you
- 45:20Speaker 2: want to get rid of them. But it's tough for
- 45:22Speaker 2: the Democrats to get him off the ballot. You know,
- 45:25Speaker 2: he's the automatic front runner to run again. But keep
- 45:28Speaker 2: an eye on that, Mark Levine or Julie Mennon Now
- 45:33Speaker 2: in instagram world, the most important thing if you're a restaurant,
- 45:40Speaker 2: if you're a bakery, if you're something like that, is
- 45:44Speaker 2: to go viral. The latest viral thing for the last
- 45:48Speaker 2: month or two was dot cake. It's just basically a
- 45:51Speaker 2: cake and a cup with the sprinkles all over it dots,
- 45:53Speaker 2: but it became the hottest thing in the world on Instagram.
- 45:57Speaker 2: The only place you could get it in Manhattan was
- 45:59Speaker 2: the Butterfield Market, very very good market Butterfields, and people
- 46:03Speaker 2: would wait in line four hours. They only had it
- 46:07Speaker 2: Sunday and Thursday. So for four hours you wait in
- 46:10Speaker 2: line for this dot cake. It was an incredible phenomenon.
- 46:15Speaker 2: I hate to break it, Deef. You go to stut Leonards,
- 46:17Speaker 2: this one in Norwalk. Any stut Leonards. They got four
- 46:20Speaker 2: thousand dot cakes. You can just walk in and take
- 46:22Speaker 2: a handful of. It's not that good anyway. So everybody's
- 46:26Speaker 2: trying to go viral. Now here's somebody doing it. I
- 46:29Speaker 2: forget where this is. It's out in Long Island. Is
- 46:31Speaker 2: it the Hampton's or Queen's. I think it's Queen's. I
- 46:34Speaker 2: think so they have the lobster Bloody Mary. It's a
- 46:40Speaker 2: bloody Mary, I don't know. It's got all kinds of
- 46:42Speaker 2: stuff in it. It's got a big lobster sticking out
- 46:44Speaker 2: of it. It's one hundred and fifty bucks or something,
- 46:46Speaker 2: but it's gone viral. People are lining up. They can
- 46:49Speaker 2: only make a certain amount of this's the owner of
- 46:51Speaker 2: the place.
- 46:51Speaker 13: It took off like crazy. We sell anywhere from twenty
- 46:54Speaker 13: to twenty five a week. It's one hundred and twenty
- 46:56Speaker 13: five dollars. It serves four to six.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Okay, now you say, well, that's not such a great
- 47:04Speaker 2: business sell in twenty a week, but it gets everybody
- 47:07Speaker 2: in there. Same thing with the Butterfields with the dot Cake,
- 47:12Speaker 2: which Butterfields, by the way, it's got a great bakery.
- 47:14Speaker 2: If you go in there, they sell five thousand things
- 47:16Speaker 2: that are better than the dot cake. So same thing
- 47:18Speaker 2: with this place. It'll get people in there.
- 47:20Speaker 13: First we start with the last we're going to offen
- 47:23Speaker 13: it up and you have to kind of support it.
- 47:26Speaker 13: Usually it sits perfectly right there. Then we're going to
- 47:29Speaker 13: take the sealery two one eat side. There are a
- 47:32Speaker 13: total of six shrimp, three on each side. Now we
- 47:36Speaker 13: go with the bacon. Then we have the jalapeno who
- 47:39Speaker 13: goes right by his mouth. Then we do the olive.
- 47:42Speaker 2: You get eight olives total.
- 47:44Speaker 13: He gets to hold his own lemons.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Okay, let's be honest. It sounds disgusting. I mean if
- 47:50Speaker 2: I was eating dinner. If I had a lobster and
- 47:52Speaker 2: shrimp on my plate and you were having a bloody Mary,
- 47:55Speaker 2: and I picked up my lobster and threw it in
- 47:57Speaker 2: your drink, in your bloody Marry, and drop my shrim
- 48:00Speaker 2: punked them in your drink, you'd say, what the hell
- 48:02Speaker 2: are you doing? But now it's viral and you'll pay
- 48:06Speaker 2: one hundred twenty dollars to have this, So it is
- 48:10Speaker 2: pretty stupid. Now you got every bakery, every restaurant, every
- 48:13Speaker 2: cafe running around trying to figure out how to go
- 48:16Speaker 2: viral with something. Now in the Hamptons they opened a
- 48:19Speaker 2: little diner. It's tiny, like an old fashioned railroad car.
- 48:23Speaker 2: A little tiny diner. I think it's Southampton. It's called Babes.
- 48:27Speaker 2: It only has eight stools. That's it. It went viral.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Now you gotta wait in line seven hours to go
- 48:34Speaker 2: to Babes. What do they have? It's just regularly. You
- 48:37Speaker 2: can get the same thing at any diner. They got pancakes.
- 48:39Speaker 2: They got eggs, but it's viral.
- 48:42Speaker 8: See.
- 48:42Speaker 2: Part of the secret of viral is you gotta wait.
- 48:44Speaker 2: The line is the key. There's a line at to
- 48:47Speaker 2: get those dot cakes. You gotta wait four hours in line.
- 48:51Speaker 2: And normally if there was a line, normally you went
- 48:54Speaker 2: anywhere and you saw a line two blocks long, you'd say, oh,
- 48:57Speaker 2: let's go somewhere else. This is a whole new phenomenon
- 49:01Speaker 2: with this gen z. When they see a line, they
- 49:03Speaker 2: rush to it to get in it. It's not even
- 49:06Speaker 2: the food, it's the line, it's the experience. They just
- 49:10Speaker 2: love being in a line. They'd love to say they
- 49:12Speaker 2: waited four hours. And the other idea is when you
- 49:15Speaker 2: finally get the thing, even this lobster martini or bloody
- 49:19Speaker 2: and you taste good, doesn't matter. You've got something nobody
- 49:23Speaker 2: else can have. Even though you went to Babes and
- 49:26Speaker 2: it tastes like every other diner, you can put it
- 49:28Speaker 2: on your Instagram. You've got something nobody else can get.
- 49:31Speaker 2: So this is I don't know when this phenomenon will end,
- 49:34Speaker 2: but it's going to continue for a while. We'll take
- 49:37Speaker 2: some calls next eight hundred three to two one zero
- 49:41Speaker 2: seven ten is the number eight hundred three two one
- 49:45Speaker 2: zero seven ten.
- 49:46Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 49:49Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button.
- 49:51Speaker 2: Now.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simone show on WOOR.
- 49:56Speaker 2: It's eight hundred three two one zero seven. Then is
- 50:00Speaker 2: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 50:03Speaker 2: Let's go to Caroline in Bayville. Caroline, how you doing?
- 50:09Speaker 13: Hi?
- 50:10Speaker 14: Mark, It's Caroline.
- 50:12Speaker 2: But that's okay, it says Caroline here, all right, Caroline.
- 50:16Speaker 14: Even be I know, yeah, I wanted to talk about
- 50:20Speaker 14: the social media with the lines. I was in Italy.
- 50:25Speaker 14: I was in Taromina, Sicily, and there was this line,
- 50:29Speaker 14: you know, and I'm like, what's going on because no
- 50:32Speaker 14: one else had the line anywhere, And I went They said,
- 50:35Speaker 14: it's TikTok.
- 50:35Speaker 7: It's you know.
- 50:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:37Speaker 14: I went on TikTok and I saw it was Granada.
- 50:39Speaker 14: It was that shade ice. Yeah, it's called bam Bar
- 50:44Speaker 14: was the name of the place. And so we were like,
- 50:47Speaker 14: we're not waiting on that line. But then one morning
- 50:49Speaker 14: there was no line, so we had it. It was delicious.
- 50:51Speaker 14: But then we went to another place and had it
- 50:53Speaker 14: was the same thing. It's just amazing.
- 50:56Speaker 7: If you can get on social media your business psychologically.
- 51:00Speaker 2: You know, the gen Z. If they see a line, oh,
- 51:02Speaker 2: this must be good. You know, right across the street
- 51:04Speaker 2: there's this little uh tie place Topaz. It looks like nothing.
- 51:09Speaker 2: You would never want to walk in there. It looks
- 51:11Speaker 2: like crap. But it's got a line all the way
- 51:14Speaker 2: up the you know, this must be great. It actually is.
- 51:17Speaker 2: It's a great place. But you see that line. Now,
- 51:19Speaker 2: these gen Z if they were walking by the Motor
- 51:22Speaker 2: Vehicle Department, looked in the window and saw that line,
- 51:24Speaker 2: they go, let's go, we gotta go this whatever this
- 51:27Speaker 2: is so uh? And what's good in Bayville? You got
- 51:31Speaker 2: you got the Crescent Club there? Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's okay, Yeah,
- 51:40Speaker 2: all right.
- 51:40Speaker 7: The.
- 51:43Speaker 2: Creston Club, beautiful view right on the water. You're not
- 51:46Speaker 2: far from uh, what's near you? Oyster Bay? You got
- 51:49Speaker 2: Cooper Bluff. You got all that stuff there, Oh Cooper.
- 51:53Speaker 14: Of those young twenty five year olds that make you
- 51:56Speaker 14: feel real old when you're there.
- 51:58Speaker 2: Well that's if you go late. Just go earlier, and
- 52:01Speaker 2: it's older. It gets younger every hour. Yeah, if you
- 52:05Speaker 2: have to ten o'clock, it's young. Seven o'clock it's older,
- 52:08Speaker 2: but it gets a great crowd, beautiful place right on
- 52:10Speaker 2: the water.
- 52:11Speaker 14: So are you still single?
- 52:13Speaker 8: Mark?
- 52:13Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 52:13Speaker 2: Why what do you have in mind?
- 52:17Speaker 7: I'm single? Uh?
- 52:18Speaker 2: Oh, oh, there you go? And uh where do you
- 52:22Speaker 2: hang at? You single women out there in Bayville? Now?
- 52:28Speaker 2: Oh that got her quiet? Are you still there?
- 52:30Speaker 5: Just sure it is?
- 52:32Speaker 2: What what was the question?
- 52:34Speaker 7: You're yes?
- 52:35Speaker 2: I am, I am. I'm sorry, but you'll have to
- 52:38Speaker 2: wait in line. I'm like dot cake, you gotta wait
- 52:40Speaker 2: in line. Take a number. I'm kidding, but very good call, Caroline,
- 52:44Speaker 2: thanks for calling. Let's go to Joseph in Manhattan. Joseph,
- 52:49Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 52:51Speaker 7: Oho?
- 52:52Speaker 6: You started your program Mark talking about the drones and
- 52:55Speaker 6: rands and bringing to Cuba. Yeah, to probably attack American
- 52:59Speaker 6: American President Trump. But Mark, we never got answers about
- 53:04Speaker 6: the drones flying around New Jersey and New York. Remember
- 53:08Speaker 6: years back during Sleepy Joe Biden tamelo?
- 53:11Speaker 5: What was that also? Iran?
- 53:13Speaker 7: Oh?
- 53:13Speaker 6: Maybe communistic? No?
- 53:15Speaker 2: No, no, no, it was nothing, No, it was nothing
- 53:18Speaker 2: like that. I remember President Trump. I can't remember now,
- 53:20Speaker 2: but when he first got in office, he the first
- 53:22Speaker 2: thing you want to know is what the hell were
- 53:24Speaker 2: those drones? And apparently It was nothing serious and I
- 53:27Speaker 2: can't remember. You have to go back and look it up.
- 53:29Speaker 2: But it was nothing serious. But that was sleepy Joe.
- 53:31Speaker 2: But there was a Chinese spy balloon following following Flump
- 53:34Speaker 2: flying over the US, which he did nothing about. Let's
- 53:38Speaker 2: go to Paul Rossland, New York. You know that's actually
- 53:40Speaker 2: where the dot cake is from Rosny, New York.
- 53:44Speaker 9: Mark. Yes, good morning, It's Paul from Roslyn.
- 53:47Speaker 4: How are you good?
- 53:48Speaker 9: Good? Just a question the next time that you speak
- 53:50Speaker 9: to Vincent from Brooklyn, ask him please if he ever
- 53:54Speaker 9: ran into Michael Francis, who I'm sure he might have
- 53:58Speaker 9: crossed passed, was in the nineteen seventies.
- 54:00Speaker 2: That's the guy that does that podcast now, I.
- 54:03Speaker 9: Think so, And I think he was pretty well connected.
- 54:06Speaker 9: I once leased a car from him in nineteen seventy something,
- 54:09Speaker 9: a Lincoln Mark four.
- 54:11Speaker 2: You sound like you're up to something, you know, you're
- 54:12Speaker 2: always kind of whispering like, what are you up to there?
- 54:16Speaker 3: Who may?
- 54:17Speaker 2: Yeah, what are you leasing the car from him for?
- 54:20Speaker 9: Because I was looking for a Lincoln Mark four and
- 54:23Speaker 9: they ran an ad in the New York Times from
- 54:25Speaker 9: least car of America a.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Lincoln Mark four what are you Jimmy Hoffer right twenty.
- 54:32Speaker 9: And when I when I finally he finally he wanted
- 54:35Speaker 9: me to come. He wanted some to my where I work,
- 54:38Speaker 9: which he did. And then when I was talking to him,
- 54:40Speaker 9: he said, will do Where do you live? I said,
- 54:42Speaker 9: Jamaica Estates and Queen's He said, oh, great neighborhood. He said,
- 54:46Speaker 9: will deliver.
- 54:46Speaker 7: The car time you have?
- 54:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I heard, But if you want a Lisa car,
- 54:49Speaker 2: you go to a Lincoln dealer. They got plenty of
- 54:51Speaker 2: Lincolns there.
- 54:51Speaker 9: What do you I know? I know I was a
- 54:53Speaker 9: young guy and they had advertised an incredible price.
- 54:56Speaker 2: So I thought, something, why do you think that is
- 54:58Speaker 2: probably a bottom in the front or something.
- 55:00Speaker 9: You know what he said to me, this car used
- 55:02Speaker 9: to belong to Rocky Graziano and he shouldn't make the payments.
- 55:06Speaker 2: Well, there you go, there you go, and.
- 55:08Speaker 9: He said, but it's an excellent shape. You'll get the
- 55:10Speaker 9: full guarantee and we'll deliver it to your house within
- 55:13Speaker 9: two or three days.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Wow, you know, he would be This would be a
- 55:16Speaker 2: great story if this was nineteen seventy eight. But anybody
- 55:22Speaker 2: anymore but a link in mark four you could see
- 55:26Speaker 2: uncle Junior driving that around. Let's go to Jean in Riverdale. Jean,
- 55:30Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 55:32Speaker 15: Hey, Mark Tway a long time listener of yourself. I
- 55:37Speaker 15: just wanted to comment on what you said about Julie
- 55:40Speaker 15: Lennon and Marque Levine. Yes, Marque Levine is the controller
- 55:44Speaker 15: and the city council is going to vote themselves a
- 55:46Speaker 15: big pay race.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Well that's all. That's that's terrible, but it's all politicians.
- 55:51Speaker 2: Any politician will do that.
- 55:53Speaker 15: Yeah, but he should come out and say, hey, listen,
- 55:55Speaker 15: this is wrong. The City of New York Canta Ford
- 55:57Speaker 15: this with one hundred and twenty six billion dollar budget
- 56:01Speaker 15: that they want to know.
- 56:02Speaker 2: I understand. No, everybody agrees with you, but that's the
- 56:04Speaker 2: way they are. Those are Republicans, Democrats, politicians. They'll always
- 56:08Speaker 2: vote themselves are raise nothing.
- 56:09Speaker 3: You can do about it.
- 56:10Speaker 15: And well, so you know, I don't think Julie Mennon
- 56:13Speaker 15: would make a good maar because she's very she's very liberal.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Way, no, I understand, she's not very liberal. She's slightly liberal.
- 56:20Speaker 2: She's a more common sense I'd rather have a Republican
- 56:23Speaker 2: mayor Juliani Bloomberg something like that. But if you're gonna
- 56:26Speaker 2: be stuck with a Democrat. You're better better off with
- 56:29Speaker 2: a Julie Mennon or a Mark Levine than a mom Donnie.
- 56:32Speaker 2: That's all I was saying. Absolutely, all right, thanks for calling.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Oh when we come back. The perfect candidate, Bruce Blakeman.
- 56:40Speaker 2: He should be the next governor of New York. He's
- 56:41Speaker 2: the guy who could really start to save New York.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman should be the next governor of New York.
- 56:47Speaker 2: And we'll talk to him next on seven to ten
- 56:50Speaker 2: w R Simon Show.
- 56:53Speaker 1: Live from the WR Life Back Studio.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Well, Bruce Blakeman the best county exiscutive in America, and
- 57:01Speaker 2: that's like being a governor. He's the county executive NASA
- 57:03Speaker 2: County considered the best county in America right now, and
- 57:07Speaker 2: he's running for governor. We hope he wins. Everybody hopes
- 57:10Speaker 2: he wins. And I know you're saying I hope he wins. Well,
- 57:13Speaker 2: you got to do more than hope. You got to
- 57:14Speaker 2: take some action. Go to Blakeman from New York dot com.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Donate volunteer to just help out. Go to Blakeman for
- 57:22Speaker 2: New York dot Com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 57:26Speaker 7: I'm doing great, Mark, and thank you God bless you
- 57:30Speaker 7: for your message of how we are going to win
- 57:34Speaker 7: and save the state. It's much appreciated. You're a good friend.
- 57:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you need donations to win, so everybody donate. You
- 57:41Speaker 2: did you just get your matching funds?
- 57:45Speaker 7: We got part of our matching funds. They still owe
- 57:48Speaker 7: us quite a bit of money, but we got part
- 57:50Speaker 7: of it. And today is the deadline for our next
- 57:55Speaker 7: financial filing. So between now and eleven o'clock tonight, anybody
- 58:00Speaker 7: out there that wants to make a contribution of any level,
- 58:03Speaker 7: go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. We'd love to get your support.
- 58:07Speaker 7: We've got to save our state. We've got to save
- 58:10Speaker 7: our country from people who have anti American values, and
- 58:14Speaker 7: believe me, as governor, we will put the state in
- 58:17Speaker 7: the right direction and take it out of its death spiral.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Hey, so the latest polling, I'm not talking about those
- 58:23Speaker 2: public polls. They're mostly junk, but for real polls. You
- 58:25Speaker 2: got one has you at six points, one has you
- 58:28Speaker 2: at eight points. So let's say it's seven points. That's
- 58:30Speaker 2: from being twenty points behind, and you're ahead of where
- 58:34Speaker 2: Lee Zelden was at this point, aren't you.
- 58:37Speaker 7: Well, we're about fourteen points ahead of where Lee was
- 58:41Speaker 7: four years ago. So we're going to win, provided that
- 58:45Speaker 7: we get people out to vote, provided that we have
- 58:48Speaker 7: enough campaign funds to buy social media, radio, TV, streaming,
- 58:52Speaker 7: direct mail. We have the perfect storm here in New York.
- 58:58Speaker 7: We've got a governor that completely inept where the most overtaxed,
- 59:03Speaker 7: overregulated state in America are electric bills is seventy percent
- 59:06Speaker 7: higher than the national average. I will end that. And
- 59:10Speaker 7: she is the most pro criminal governor. And now she's
- 59:13Speaker 7: completely aligned at the hit with Zorn Mundami. I now
- 59:18Speaker 7: call her comrade Kathy. The two of them are conspiring
- 59:21Speaker 7: to destroy the economy of the State of New York
- 59:25Speaker 7: and the City of New York. And I will stop them.
- 59:28Speaker 7: I will stop the lawlessness, and I will bring prosperity
- 59:32Speaker 7: and peace and economic development, better jobs, better benefits to
- 59:37Speaker 7: New York State.
- 59:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Hey, now, Bruce Play would explain, because Kathy Okle
- 59:41Speaker 2: always talks about affordability, explain how the electric bills are
- 59:45Speaker 2: so high as a result of her actions.
- 59:49Speaker 7: Yeah, so, Kathy Hockel has improved over forty five rate heights,
- 59:55Speaker 7: forty five in the last four and a half years,
- 1:00:00Speaker 7: So she's directly responsible for your rate hikes. And when
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: you look at your bill, take a look at your
- 1:00:07Speaker 7: electric till only thirty percent of your bill goes for energy.
- 1:00:10Speaker 7: The rest goes from more taxes. She taxes that she
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: has excessive delivery fees. That's a way to collect more
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: money without calling it a rate hike. And on top
- 1:00:20Speaker 7: of that, she has the green energy scam where she
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: puts solar farms upstate New York under snow and sixty
- 1:00:28Speaker 7: story wind farms out in the middle of the ocean,
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: the most expensive way of generating energy, and it is
- 1:00:37Speaker 7: producing very little energy. I will also open up the
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: Marcellus Reserve. It's one of the largest natural gas reserves
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: in the world. It's right here in New York State.
- 1:00:47Speaker 7: We're going to stop buying our gas from Pennsylvania. We're
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: going to create prosperity in New York and increase the
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: supply so we bring down the cost of electricity. I
- 1:00:57Speaker 7: can cut the electric bills in half. I will when
- 1:01:00Speaker 7: I'm governor, because that's the number one complaint I get
- 1:01:03Speaker 7: from people nowadays.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, just explain that to people, because we're sitting
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: on top of all the natural gas in the world,
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: yet we buy it from Pennsylvania.
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: Yeah, it's Kathy Hochel scam. It's hypocritical. So she wants
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: to portray herself as a far left, woke progressive Democrat
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: who wants only green energy that will never happen in
- 1:01:27Speaker 7: the foreseeable future. We need fossil fuel, we need natural gas,
- 1:01:33Speaker 7: and we have one of the largest reserves right here
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: on the border of Pennsylvania. But in Pennsylvania they let
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: you extract the gas and they're driving brand new Cadillac Escalades.
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: Over there on the New York side, Kathy Hochel won't
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: let you. They're driving twenty five year old rusted pickup trucks.
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: We're losing the tax revenue, we're losing the supply. And
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: crazy enough, Kathy Hochel, this is how hypocritical is. She's
- 1:01:59Speaker 7: buying the natural gas from the same reserve, but from
- 1:02:02Speaker 7: the Pennsylvania side, so she can tell all her lefty
- 1:02:05Speaker 7: friends that she's green. But she's not green. It's a
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: big subterfuge. So I will open up that Marcella schale.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: That supply will dramatically bring down electric bill costs. And
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: by the way, she wants to go all electric, she
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: wants to take your guest stove away from you. I mean,
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: this has gotten so ridiculous, it's completely bizarre. We need
- 1:02:31Speaker 7: to stop it. We need to get back to common sense.
- 1:02:34Speaker 7: And you know, Mark, one of the things that's really
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: encouraging to me. Every single day I have Democrats coming
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: up to me and saying, I've never voted I've never
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: voted Republican before. I'm a lifelong Democrat. I'm voting for you.
- 1:02:47Speaker 7: My party has gotten too weird, and you're a common
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: sense guy. You've done a good job in Nassau County,
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: so I'm going to put my trust in you. That
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: is very gratified.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: Yeah, Hey, everybody go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com donate or
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: help or Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. The budget in New York
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: is like two hundred and seventy five billion a year.
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: What should it be, Well, it's twice the size of
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: the state of Florida, and they've got four million more people.
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: So you know, I was down in Florida a couple
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: of times this year because I have family down there,
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: and their government seems to be running very, very well.
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: On half the money that New York spends, so you
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: know there's a tremendous amount of fraud, waste, and abuse.
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: And in Florida they don't spend eight and a half
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: billion dollars a taxpayer money like Kathy Hopel's doing on
- 1:03:38Speaker 7: illegal migrants. All you have to do is arrive in
- 1:03:41Speaker 7: New York State. You get free housing, free transportation, free food,
- 1:03:44Speaker 7: and a free cell phone. And you're not even a
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: New Yorker. That's our taxpayer dollars. That ends when I
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: become governor. I'm not going to let that happen. We're
- 1:03:53Speaker 7: going to invest in New York. We're going to cut taxes,
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: cut utility bills, and invest in good jobs and good
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: benefit fits for our young people so they don't leave here.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: Hey, I know you do all the right stuff, but
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: don't you have a crazy left wing legislature. They'll try
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: to stop you. What do you do about that?
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: Well, you know what, First of all, we got to
- 1:04:14Speaker 7: elect more Republicans in the Senate, in the Assembly, and
- 1:04:16Speaker 7: in the House of Representatives, so you know this is
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: a team effort. We need a Republican Attorney General. Cerisa Comaretti,
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: Joe Hernandez, great guy for controller. We need a complete
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: change from top to bottom. But if there is a
- 1:04:32Speaker 7: Democrat majority in the Assembly and the Senate, which there
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: might be, that probably will be. All I can say
- 1:04:41Speaker 7: is it's a negotiation process. The governor has tremendous powers,
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: and I will negotiate and bargain with them. They'll get
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: some of the things they need, but I'll get what
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: I need to put this state out of its depth
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: spiral and put it on the right track. We've got
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: to change castlest bail, it's a revolving door of crime, menality.
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: We've got to end the sanctuary state status and stop
- 1:05:04Speaker 7: spending eight and a half billion dollars on illegal migrants.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: And we've got to lower electric bills. Those are priorities. Yeah.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: Hey, and if Mayor Mom Donnie starts doing some crazy stuff,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: what can a governor actually do to stop that?
- 1:05:18Speaker 7: Well, I have tremendous power over the budget, and you know,
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: if he wants money to run his city, he's going
- 1:05:26Speaker 7: to have to make sure that he behaves himself and
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: doesn't ruin the economy of New York, doesn't overtax people,
- 1:05:34Speaker 7: and doesn't allow criminality and anti semitism to be running rampant.
- 1:05:39Speaker 7: The latest thing he's done is he put out a
- 1:05:43Speaker 7: map about the Darius ethnic neighborhoods in the City of
- 1:05:48Speaker 7: New York and left out both little Italyes, he's got
- 1:05:52Speaker 7: Little Palestine in some places, but he left out Little
- 1:05:55Speaker 7: Italy in Lower Manhattan and Little Italy in the Bronx
- 1:05:59Speaker 7: on Oursue. And I think that's intentional, you know, just
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: like when he gave the finger to Christopher Columbus.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just crazy. Hey, we're running out of time.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: We know how much time left. But just some people
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: think the governor can remove the mayor. It's not that simple,
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: is it.
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: Well, yeah, the governor can remove the mayor, but you
- 1:06:19Speaker 7: know he's a duly elected official, so that is a
- 1:06:22Speaker 7: drastic remedy. He would have to do something that was
- 1:06:25Speaker 7: very egregious or illegal. And look, I would do it
- 1:06:31Speaker 7: if he did something of that magnitude. But I'm hoping
- 1:06:35Speaker 7: that he modifies his behavior when I become governor, and
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: I will insist that he modifies his behavior because what
- 1:06:42Speaker 7: he's doing now is destroying the economy of New York City.
- 1:06:46Speaker 7: He's competing with local private businesses and places like the
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: Bronx with these stupid grocery stores he wants to open up.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: And his regulations and rules with respect to housing have
- 1:06:59Speaker 7: created the house and shortage that we now have. So
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: we need him to modify his behavior. Me as governor,
- 1:07:05Speaker 7: I'll make sure that happens.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: Well, that's great. Hey, everybody, I know you want Bruce
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: Blakeman to win. I know you hope you, but more
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: than hope, you got to do something. So go to
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: Blakemanfronewyork dot com. Make a contribution, volunteer, whatever you can do,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: but do something. Go to blakemanfro new York dot com,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Blakeman for New York dot com. Bruce Blakeman, We're pushing
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: for you, We're pulling for you. Thanks for everything.
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: Thank you so much. Mark. We'll get there and have
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: a great weekend. May God bless you and make God
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: bless America.
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: Thanks all right, take care, Yeah, make sure you help out.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Go to blakemanfornew York dot com. He could actually start
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: to turn this all around, save the state. You know,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: that's what it takes. Like it turns the tide, then
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: you get more Republicans start getting elected. And that doesn't
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: matter Republican or we just want common sense, people like
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: Bruce Blakeman. Hey, don't forget. At noon today, Buck and
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: Clay with a great show. And you know you can
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: hear Curtis now, Curtis Sliwa is here every weekday morning.
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: It's Curtisiwa Larry Mente six to ten every weekday on

- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Hey, Well, the forecast keeps improving. It's supposed to be
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: a rainy thundershower kind of afternoon. Now it's down to
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: maybe one thunderstorm and a little slight chance of it
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: around five o'clock. Otherwise, pretty good weekend. It's some rain tomorrow,
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: but otherwise good weekend. Sunday will be beautiful. Well, I'm
