So I want to begin with some of the changes that you guys may

have heard about or seen in the environment, particularly

surrounding the pod team. Now, of course, immediately

prior to my return back in, I want to say it was was April,

end of April prior to my return, the environment that I had

participated in at one point had radically changed.

At the time that I had returned, when I had first come on the

scene, and this was, you know, 6:00-ish, seven years ago, my

whole thing was wanting to change what the environment

looked like that I had seen. I had seen a lot of isolated

echo chambers. I saw a lot of very closed

sessions, lots of people wanting to do nothing other than

monologue into a camera to a non existent audience.

And I was not happy generally with how I saw the environment

shaping up. So I did it a little differently

and I started my channel. One of the big things about my

channel was open environments, open engagement, active

challenges and debates. The idea was that I would have a

platform, an environment where it wouldn't just be me talking

at the camera or ignoring challenges or something like

that, but it would actually be something substantive to where

people could truly, genuinely come and engage and do the cross

examination and defend their beliefs and see if their beliefs

were even worth defending at all.

And granted, there was a certain amount of intrinsic confidence

in my abilities to be able to take on such a platform and such

task. And so I did that.

And as I started to work into the debate channels and the

other channels around me, they all started taking up some of my

methodologies. They saw that people were

actually really enjoying and that a lot of interesting,

amazing things were happening in these kind of open environments.

And a lot of the channels that were directly in my orbit also

started doing similar things, whether they were atheist or

Christian alike. And the Open Room live show

became a pretty, pretty regular thing.

And the environment was going in an interesting way.

And we had our group of people, you know, that I could mention

names that maybe many of you that are kind of new, the

community wouldn't even recognize.

And that's, that's fine. Some people, you know, they

come, they go, they fade in, they fade out happens all the

partially a symbol of that idea. You know what for what is your

life is a vapor. It's here for a little time and

environment, we have Youtubers that come and go.

They, they come in, they last for a little while and then I

And we did have some changes that happened over those years

while I was taking my sabbatical, working on business,

building my life up, things of that nature, getting myself more

coalesced and to where I was comfortable resting back into

this type of work, this type of hobby, these types of pursuits.

And when I came back, I'd seen that a lot of this environment

had toxified beyond anything I had seen while I was still doing

the channel at the time. And I really do mean toxified.

I mean, not only was there a bunch of vehement hatred amongst

a bunch of people for reasons that probably weren't even

necessarily deserved, that was just a snowball effect of minor

infractions or disappointments or or pokes or prods or

something, but the entire environment had become

completely fundamentally toxified and everyone had once

again seemingly isolated and alienated themselves into their

their micro chambers. I despise this.
