Speaker 1: Whoa, Hi everyone, It's Alex Garrett, host of One Log
• 0:07
Speaker 1: Up with Alex Garrett aka One Look Up.
• 0:10
  Speaker 2: Alex.
• 0:10
Speaker 1: Excited to have you for a year thirteen of this podcast.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: We've gotten through twelve amazing years thanks to you. Here's
• 0:17
Speaker 1: to lucky thirteen. All right, back here on the Onely
• 0:21
Speaker 1: Up Network, I've got my buddy Caleb Basquez of Latino
• 0:24
Speaker 1: Sports Official and just his own brand, NYC Money three
• 0:27
  Speaker 1: oh one.
• 0:28
Speaker 2: You are your own brand, Caleb. Let me just say that.
• 0:31
Speaker 2: Talk about picture. How cool was it this weekend?
• 0:34
Speaker 3: It was pretty cool, man. You know. It was obviously
• 0:39
  Speaker 3: a different scenery at a different location. I didn't really
• 0:42
Speaker 3: know what to expect because I never never had been
• 0:44
Speaker 3: to the Meadowlands ExpoCenter, so you know, that was It
• 0:50
Speaker 3: was pretty cool, you know, a little wide open. They
• 0:53
Speaker 3: try to keep everything a little bit more separate, more
• 0:56
Speaker 3: space for the memorabilia and the shops so that you
• 0:59
Speaker 3: can you can shop around and stuff. But overall I
• 1:04
Speaker 3: had a great time. Obviously, Friday and Sunday with a
• 1:08
Speaker 3: more low key type day. Saturday was pretty crazy, pretty crazy,
• 1:12
Speaker 3: but hey, well I love it.
• 1:15
Speaker 1: I see pictures of random people I follow, and all
• 1:17
Speaker 1: of a sudden, there's Kale right in the picture too.
• 1:19
Speaker 1: I mean this to your own comment, I saw you
• 1:21
Speaker 1: being spotted too, which is pretty cool.
• 1:23
Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean I feel like I was just running
• 1:25
Speaker 3: everywhere just catch just kind of catch a photo or
• 1:28
Speaker 3: a video or you know, being interviewed and stuff like that.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: You know, that's what we were, you know people and
• 1:35
Speaker 1: when we go to these things, oh, you just want
• 1:36
Speaker 1: to get the player. But really the interaction between the
• 1:39
Speaker 1: players and these fans is always something to catch. I mean,
• 1:42
Speaker 1: it is a fun time to watch these guys sign all.
• 1:45
  Speaker 1: I saw David Robinson's sign a football helmet. I'm like,
• 1:48
Speaker 1: what's it up to do with baseball? You know, But
• 1:49
Speaker 1: these guys get things brought to them. They are just
• 1:52
  Speaker 1: out layer sometimes.
• 1:53
Speaker 3: Hey, like you said, man, at the end of the day,
• 1:55
Speaker 3: it's about the fans. It's about the interactions. And you know,
• 1:59
Speaker 3: a lot you see out of those genuine interactions with
• 2:04
Speaker 3: players that like, like let's say, Chuck n Block I
• 2:08
Speaker 3: was seeing on the first night and a documentary, a
• 2:11
Speaker 3: lot of people just you know, amazed that they were
• 2:13
Speaker 3: able to see these guys and interact with these guys,
• 2:17
Speaker 3: and it was pretty amazing to see It never gets old,
• 2:20
Speaker 3: you know, because this doesn't happen so often, and especially
• 2:23
Speaker 3: Pinstroke prior, it only happens once a year before the
• 2:27
Speaker 3: beginning of the season, and that that to me, it
• 2:30
Speaker 3: just never gets old because at the end of the day,
• 2:31
  Speaker 3: that's what I am. Still, I am a big fan.
• 2:34
Speaker 3: It never gets old seeing these guys talking to these.
• 2:37
Speaker 2: Guys we grew up watching basically, you know.
• 2:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, so, I mean.
• 2:41
Speaker 2: But it's different for us because I feel like we
• 2:44
Speaker 2: have a rapport with some of these guys.
• 2:45
Speaker 1: I mean, I literally stop some guys on the drive. Yeah,
• 2:47
Speaker 1: why not, because you get to know them over the
• 2:50
Speaker 1: years and you started to be able to report them,
• 2:52
Speaker 1: and that's even more special, know that you have to
• 2:54
Speaker 1: see them playing then you have to know them in
• 2:56
Speaker 1: your adult world too.
• 2:58
Speaker 3: That's right, It's right. You know, Chuck like was fortunate
• 3:02
Speaker 3: enough to even have dinner with him after Pinstrip Pride
• 3:05
Speaker 3: on the first night, and you know that to me
• 3:07
Speaker 3: still is so amazing. I consider him a friend. I
• 3:10
Speaker 3: love whenever he gets to come up here because he
• 3:14
Speaker 3: lives in Houston, and just every chance we get to
• 3:17
Speaker 3: get together, you know, it's very special, and you know,
• 3:20
Speaker 3: he's done what he's done for the Yankees when he
• 3:23
Speaker 3: was a player, but it's much more special for me
• 3:25
Speaker 3: personally being a friend and just being someone I'm getting
• 3:29
Speaker 3: closer and closer to it.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: So he's really got a highlight wall though. I mean,
• 3:32
Speaker 1: that guy stopped for everybody even behind there. It was
• 3:35
Speaker 1: just he is a different character, you know, he just
• 3:38
Speaker 1: gets it. As you said, he's the man of the people.
• 3:41
Speaker 3: He is. You know. I didn't get to see it
• 3:45
Speaker 3: much at Pinstrip Pride obviously, because I already knew, you know,
• 3:48
Speaker 3: shout out just in time baseball, because he was going
• 3:51
Speaker 3: to be at the baseball clinic up in Greenwich, Connecticut,
• 3:55
Speaker 3: So I was able to cover other people and see
• 3:58
Speaker 3: other players that were there at the same time before
• 4:00
Speaker 3: I had to go. But once we were finally at
• 4:03
Speaker 3: the youth baseball clinic, every single kid it was high
• 4:07
Speaker 3: how you doing, autograph? Picture, next kid, every single one.
• 4:12
Speaker 3: That's who he is. That's why we love him. He
• 4:15
Speaker 3: takes the time to greet everybody. It's you know, that's
• 4:21
Speaker 3: why he stands out, That's why everyone loves him. That's
• 4:23
Speaker 3: why you know, he's well respected. He's the man of
• 4:26
Speaker 3: the people and That's why I really think. You know,
• 4:30
Speaker 3: a lot of people say that we're putting out the
• 4:32
Speaker 3: same team as last year. I was older than that
• 4:35
Speaker 3: played last year. He only played for about a month
• 4:37
Speaker 3: before he got injured. I think he's going to be
• 4:41
Speaker 3: a big piece for us this year. I know for
• 4:43
Speaker 3: sure from what I've seen, what I saw on Saturday.
• 4:45
Speaker 3: He's moving great, he looks good, he looks healthy. Having
• 4:49
Speaker 3: him in that bench suit, it up in the pinstripes
• 4:54
Speaker 3: is going to be big for us. It's going to
• 4:55
Speaker 3: be another piece that Boon can use. He's going to
• 4:58
Speaker 3: be a difference maker for us. I really really believe that,
• 5:02
Speaker 3: and I can't wait to see it.
• 5:04
Speaker 1: People forget you know, the Anks were almost out of
• 5:06
Speaker 1: it in that opening day against Houston a couple of
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: years ago.
• 5:09
Speaker 2: He hit that homer that jolted the whole team alive.
• 5:11
Speaker 2: I mean that homer changed the whole game. And that's
• 5:13
Speaker 2: the type of energy brings every game.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: And when he got hurt last year, it was devastating,
• 5:18
Speaker 1: not only because we know him as a person, because
• 5:20
Speaker 1: of the athlete he is, and you know, we saw
• 5:23
Speaker 1: him in September two and he's like, I'm getting there
• 5:25
Speaker 1: I'm getting there, so I feel really confident.
• 5:27
Speaker 3: Yeah, we could use him in so many ways. That's why, Like,
• 5:29
Speaker 3: if people still think we have holes, he's the one
• 5:32
Speaker 3: that can plug him because he could be at first,
• 5:35
Speaker 3: he could be at third, he could be that right
• 5:38
Speaker 3: field if Judge needs a break. I mean, that's just
• 5:41
Speaker 3: such a solid piece. And he worked so hard and
• 5:44
Speaker 3: he's still working so hard to get back to be
• 5:46
Speaker 3: one hundred percent healthy. Hey, but let me tell you
• 5:48
Speaker 3: right now, he looks great. At the youth baseball clinic,
• 5:51
Speaker 3: he was moving around, he was, you know, just with
• 5:55
Speaker 3: the kids and showing how to do different drills. He
• 5:58
Speaker 3: looked great. He looks great. Still a little bit of
• 6:01
Speaker 3: a waste till the season starts, actually fifty days still
• 6:04
Speaker 3: opening day as of today, and I'm confident he'll be ready.
• 6:09
  Speaker 3: All right.
• 6:10
Speaker 1: I gotta ask about Bernie because he's the other guy
• 6:11
Speaker 1: that sort of just ingratiates himself with everybody wherever you're
• 6:15
Speaker 1: at with him. What a special person he is too.
• 6:17
Speaker 1: I mean he gets it on and off the field.
• 6:20
Speaker 3: Yeah, he's uh, he's great, man. Bernie is great. You know.
• 6:25
Speaker 3: He was a little under the weather this weekend, so
• 6:28
Speaker 3: but it was nice to see him, you know, behind
• 6:31
Speaker 3: the scenes that pins right pride, and he was talking about,
• 6:34
Speaker 3: you know, Team Puerto Rico. You know, with World Baseball
• 6:36
  Speaker 3: Classic now coming.
• 6:36
Speaker 1: Up in a month, which will you be going to
• 6:40
Speaker 1: as a media as a fan.
• 6:42
Speaker 3: I will be going as a fan. Latino Sports will
• 6:45
Speaker 3: be covering the World Baseball Classic in Puerto Rico and Miami.
• 6:51
Speaker 3: But me myself, I'm going to be bringing a lot
• 6:54
Speaker 3: of that fan content over to you guys, which is,
• 6:58
Speaker 3: you know what I love to do. And you know,
• 7:03
Speaker 3: I mean Bernie was speaking about what's going on with
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Team Puerto Rico and what's really would be unfortunate if
• 7:09
Speaker 3: they pull out or if they boycott the Classic because
• 7:12
Speaker 3: of so many of their stars not being able to play.
• 7:16
Speaker 3: But what Bernie kind of what he was saying was
• 7:19
Speaker 3: they they should, you know, kind of just have the
• 7:22
Speaker 3: next man up. I mean, it's still it'd be devastating
• 7:25
Speaker 3: if Puerto Rico doesn't play. They're one of the host countries,
• 7:28
Speaker 3: and why not just give the next guy a shot.
• 7:31
Speaker 2: It's a nice they have such a rich thing and
• 7:34
Speaker 2: they have such a fan base, you know, I.
• 7:35
Speaker 3: Mean, yeah's it wouldn't be fair to the fans, of course,
• 7:38
Speaker 3: but it may also give the next guy up a chance.
• 7:42
Speaker 3: It's it's going to be on the national stage. You
• 7:45
Speaker 3: never know what may happen. They you know, can help
• 7:48
Speaker 3: him out, you know, with whatever team that they play
• 7:50
Speaker 3: for in the major leagues. Hey have it be next
• 7:53
Speaker 3: guy up. Don't don't just just drop out. I mean,
• 7:57
Speaker 3: especially since you're a host country, and I think behind
• 7:59
Speaker 3: this they're trying to still work things. Well.
• 8:01
Speaker 2: I think, so just joined them, if I'm not mistaken.
• 8:03
  Speaker 3: So that's well, that's that's Dominican Republic. We're talking about
• 8:06
Speaker 3: Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico. You know, that's Francisco Lindor. Edwin
• 8:10
Speaker 3: Diaz just joined. Thankfully he's with the Dodgers. But I
• 8:14
Speaker 3: think behind the scenes, from what I've seen being reported
• 8:17
Speaker 3: and stuff, Francisco Lindor is trying to work out something
• 8:22
Speaker 3: that that he can still at least play, I believe,
• 8:25
Speaker 3: with a private insurance company that will cover him, because
• 8:27
Speaker 3: you know, things happen, they do get injured and then
• 8:30
Speaker 3: they'll lose a lot of money. But this, this is
• 8:34
Speaker 3: the World Baseball Classic, only happens every three four years.
• 8:38
Speaker 3: This is very special. This is as hot the hype
• 8:40
Speaker 3: is as high as it's ever been because of what
• 8:43
Speaker 3: happened the last time between USA and Japan and.
• 8:45
Speaker 1: The final because we won't we won't show to trout
• 8:49
Speaker 1: now because is not pitching, but the way that that
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Baseball Classic edit, the two of them again, Geler, that's
• 8:57
Speaker 1: what made it a classic that really was.
• 8:59
Speaker 3: Yeah, And I mean you see Team USA, you see
• 9:03
Speaker 3: Team VR like they're stacked man Team Japan stacked like these.
• 9:09
Speaker 3: This is the season before the season for us, especially
• 9:12
Speaker 3: with possibly a strike coming in twenty twenty seven. This
• 9:17
Speaker 3: might be the last year of baseball for god knows
• 9:19
Speaker 3: how long, and so you know, everything's really going into
• 9:23
Speaker 3: this season media wise as well. We want to be
• 9:25
Speaker 3: able to cover everything and anything, be out there, be
• 9:29
Speaker 3: wherever the stars of the game is or are. And
• 9:34
Speaker 3: you know, that's really something to keep in mind because unfortunately,
• 9:38
Speaker 3: there may be a strike next year. So with all
• 9:41
Speaker 3: this extra baseball that we're getting this year, we're very
• 9:45
Speaker 3: lucky and so and we'll definitely looking forward to it.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: All right, now, this is what you're we'll get back
• 9:51
Speaker 1: to the world baseball class because your guy and my guy,
• 9:53
Speaker 1: Aaron Judge is going to be.
• 9:54
Speaker 3: In there with a huge cats the captain.
• 9:58
Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, and that's going to be great.
• 10:01
  Speaker 3: I just can't I can't wait for his jersey to
• 10:04
Speaker 3: finally be on sale. Man, I'm going to buy like
• 10:05
Speaker 3: ninety nine of those.
• 10:06
Speaker 1: Man it Let's go back to Hall of Fame Science
• 10:11
Speaker 1: Pindroy Pride. I do feel like media or not, they
• 10:15
Speaker 1: do give you an opportunity to connect with these guys
• 10:18
Speaker 1: in ways that many don't. I mean, I love an access,
• 10:21
Speaker 1: but they were a little more stricter. I feel like Pindroy.
• 10:23
Speaker 3: Price, It's it's very different Fina ex vessus. You know,
• 10:29
Speaker 3: it's strictly business. Obviously all Hall of Fame assignings is
• 10:33
Speaker 3: as well. But you know, hey, look I really I
• 10:37
Speaker 3: didn't ask for media past last year. This year, I'm
• 10:42
Speaker 3: not really sure exactly what happened with many people not
• 10:45
Speaker 3: being able to get the access or whatever. But you know,
• 10:48
Speaker 3: I think these players know more and more who we
• 10:54
Speaker 3: are on the other side, who the people who are
• 10:57
Speaker 3: asking the questions trying to get interviews, and and so
• 11:00
Speaker 3: you were able to see at least that the players
• 11:02
Speaker 3: were lenient and be able to respond if you ask,
• 11:08
  Speaker 3: because well, well it's a.
• 11:09
Speaker 2: Very intimate setting. No matter what your what venue, what
• 11:12
Speaker 2: part you're there for.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: You know, if you're getting signed, it's intimate there too,
• 11:15
Speaker 1: because they literally talk to you for a good five
• 11:17
Speaker 1: to ten minutes. If your media, they do give you
• 11:19
Speaker 1: a lot of time stuck. And if you're just you know,
• 11:21
Speaker 1: they're hoping to you know, meet these guys again, they're
• 11:25
Speaker 1: there too, So just it's a very intimate event.
• 11:28
Speaker 2: I guess I would try and say, you know.
• 11:30
Speaker 3: It was at least for me, you know, I didn't
• 11:33
Speaker 3: get everything I wanted. I think we got plenty. Fortunately,
• 11:37
Speaker 3: you know, like you mentioned, I am part of Latino Sports.
• 11:40
Speaker 3: We are a team. We have each other, We have
• 11:43
Speaker 3: to go off each other with whatever it is that
• 11:45
Speaker 3: we're trying to cover, whether it's photography or videography or
• 11:49
Speaker 3: interviews or whatnot, and so it was a bit easier
• 11:52
Speaker 3: for us to try to work as a team here
• 11:54
Speaker 3: and moving forward. That's that's how fortunate I am to
• 11:58
Speaker 3: be part of this team now, and that's.
• 12:01
Speaker 1: What I wants. You're instram right now. You're dropping content
• 12:05
Speaker 1: almost every day from this, So that's why I.
• 12:06
Speaker 2: Want for people to instagram right now.
• 12:10
Speaker 3: I learned that almost exactly a year ago Alex. You know,
• 12:15
Speaker 3: I preach to you you can't be afraid. You can't.
• 12:18
Speaker 3: Don't worry about you know, how how it's looked, at,
• 12:21
Speaker 3: how it's judged. Put it out there. Put it out
• 12:24
Speaker 3: there as many times as you can every day. I
• 12:26
Speaker 3: mean I was afraid. I was really I remember having
• 12:29
Speaker 3: that fear of like, why would I put something out
• 12:32
Speaker 3: almost constantly every day? But you know what, I made
• 12:35
Speaker 3: a decision, and it was last year that I told
• 12:37
Speaker 3: myself I'm going to put something at least once every
• 12:41
Speaker 3: single day, and now it's becoming more of at least
• 12:45
Speaker 3: two every day, at least three put it out there.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: And then you know, sometimes you know, we're all humans here.
• 12:50
Speaker 3: You take a break, you take a day or two. Often.
• 12:53
Speaker 2: Did you make it to Bernie's concert?
• 12:54
Speaker 1: I never asked you if you were at the concert
• 12:55
Speaker 1: for Bernie Williams at all.
• 12:57
Speaker 3: Oh no, I didn't make it to there. Now, But
• 12:58
Speaker 3: Latino Sports wasn't the big building. You know, our boy
• 13:01
Speaker 3: Joel who was there with him, other members Anna and
• 13:06
Speaker 3: Robin were there for as attendees, and you know, I
• 13:11
Speaker 3: was even telling them put it out there. Put something.
• 13:14
Speaker 3: We were able to write about it, which was a
• 13:16
Speaker 3: great article that Bernie Williams actually thanked me and us for,
• 13:22
Speaker 3: Like there was a great article that Anna wrote. Put
• 13:26
Speaker 3: it out there, Just put it out there, and just
• 13:29
Speaker 3: constantly keep putting it. You don't know who might come
• 13:32
Speaker 3: across your content, whether it's an article or a photo
• 13:36
Speaker 3: or video anything. You never know. He wouldn't get out there,
• 13:40
Speaker 3: and you never know it might be that one that
• 13:43
Speaker 3: catches somebody's eye that is a higher up and something
• 13:48
  Speaker 3: special might happen.
• 13:49
Speaker 2: You never know the breakthrough exactly.
• 13:51
Speaker 1: All right, Does a moment like this, an event like
• 13:54
Speaker 1: this make you want to go to Cooperstown because I
• 13:55
Speaker 1: want to kind of see what it's like. I'll big
• 13:57
Speaker 1: Cooper's and I've never done the Hall of Fame stuff
• 13:59
Speaker 1: up there. Kind of curious now.
• 14:01
Speaker 3: So very so. Fortunately I was told, actually, you know
• 14:05
Speaker 3: now being with this with the Latino Sports team, we
• 14:08
Speaker 3: will be going as a group as a group with
• 14:12
Speaker 3: a Latino being inducted, Carlos Beltrand. And I was fortunate
• 14:17
Speaker 3: enough to meet Andrew Jones over the weekend and get
• 14:20
Speaker 3: his autograph. He was the only autograph I actually purchased
• 14:24
Speaker 3: over the weekend. You know, being a Hall of Famer now,
• 14:27
Speaker 3: great player obviously, great great man as well. He very
• 14:30
Speaker 3: very respectable guy, very was very nice to meet him.
• 14:34
Speaker 3: But Latino Sports will be going up there. Details to
• 14:38
Speaker 3: come out hopefully very soon, we'll see, but we will
• 14:41
Speaker 3: have a bus going all together with the team. Anybody
• 14:45
Speaker 3: that would like to join us. I believe we will
• 14:47
Speaker 3: have you know, a sale of tickets and it will
• 14:51
Speaker 3: be my first time and it's definitely a bucket list item.
• 14:54
Speaker 3: I've always wanted to go up to Cooperstown. My best
• 14:56
Speaker 3: friend Steve, he grew up in baseball, his father still
• 15:01
Speaker 3: coaches in college and he's gone multiple times and he
• 15:04
Speaker 3: talks about it all the time that it's just a
• 15:06
Speaker 3: special place with history and you know, if you love
• 15:10
Speaker 3: the game, which which I do, it's definitely somewhere you
• 15:15
  Speaker 3: need to be.
• 15:15
Speaker 1: So all right, And obviously Andrew's going in, Jeff Kenn's
• 15:20
Speaker 1: going in, when will done? And Mane get in? I
• 15:22
Speaker 1: mean we saw him this weekend a little bit. It's
• 15:25
Speaker 1: just that's the one I really want to see get
• 15:26
Speaker 1: and that's the push right there.
• 15:28
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not sure, man, I'm not sure.
• 15:32
Speaker 2: How was his movie?
• 15:33
  Speaker 1: I know we've seen him, you've seen him a couple
• 15:35
Speaker 1: of times since moving on from the Toronto Jays to
• 15:37
  Speaker 1: now Philly.
• 15:38
Speaker 2: I mean, he's been asking almost everywhere he goes.
• 15:40
  Speaker 3: I feel like, yeah, it's it's I don't know. I
• 15:46
Speaker 3: think what we can do as a fan base is
• 15:49
Speaker 3: is put it out there how much we want him
• 15:52
Speaker 3: to be in Maybe that I don't know, if that
• 15:54
Speaker 3: you know, shakes like maybe it will affect anything. But
• 15:58
Speaker 3: that's all we can do. Really. I mean I remember
• 16:00
Speaker 3: when he was at the MLB store for the Golden
• 16:03
Speaker 3: Globe Award event, you know, the twin Stripe boys, they
• 16:08
Speaker 3: had their shirts on, and you know, it's it's something
• 16:11
Speaker 3: that maybe we could push as a fan base, like,
• 16:13
Speaker 3: look like for next year, you know, like come on, like,
• 16:16
Speaker 3: let's go get Donnie in the hall.
• 16:18
Speaker 1: Him and Eli. And by the way, the Giants won
• 16:20
Speaker 1: the Super Bowl. High camily, what I'm saying eighteen years
• 16:23
  Speaker 1: ago today, that's.
• 16:24
Speaker 3: The helmet catch was eighteen years ago today, asked well,
• 16:28
Speaker 3: speaking of Eli, I mean, hey, it's I kind of
• 16:32
Speaker 3: knew it wasn't going to be a first ballot. Maybe
• 16:36
Speaker 3: I can't admit that it was not going to be
• 16:37
Speaker 3: the second year too, But if it doesn't happen next year,
• 16:41
  Speaker 3: then I think there's a that's a real issue. I mean,
• 16:44
Speaker 3: it's all. It just feels tainted, man, because especially with
• 16:47
Speaker 3: Bill Belichick not being a first ballot.
• 16:49
Speaker 1: And then they acknowledged bylaws or violated for Belichick, then
• 16:52
Speaker 1: what makes you didn't get didn't happen for Eli?
• 16:54
Speaker 3: You know, what more is needed? Like six super Bowls
• 16:59
Speaker 3: as a coach and however many as an assistant? I
• 17:01
Speaker 3: don't know. I mean what we wanted to.
• 17:04
Speaker 2: Do the Giants. I think on both teams. He was
• 17:06
Speaker 2: assistant on the Giants.
• 17:07
Speaker 3: What more do you need on your resume to be
• 17:10
Speaker 3: like almost an unanimous entry. I don't get it. It's hey,
• 17:14
Speaker 3: look from when that announcement came out, especially for Belichick,
• 17:19
Speaker 3: like the anger and the reactions from people, it was
• 17:22
Speaker 3: just it's really, this is ridiculous, man. It's if if
• 17:26
Speaker 3: if he's not in because of like for personal reasons
• 17:29
Speaker 3: on whoever it is in charge of that, that that's
• 17:31
  Speaker 3: not that's so unfair. And I mean I don't know
• 17:35
Speaker 3: that there's you know, I don't want to say too
• 17:38
Speaker 3: much because I might get disrespectful, but look that that's
• 17:41
Speaker 3: somebody right there that that deserves one hundred percent to
• 17:44
Speaker 3: be in. And that makes me a little scared for
• 17:47
Speaker 3: Eli too, because I truly believe he deserves to be
• 17:50
Speaker 3: in the's two Super Bowls. It's hard enough just to
• 17:53
  Speaker 3: get one.
• 17:53
Speaker 1: He got two streak of active play.
• 17:57
Speaker 3: Like and he beat the best quarterback ever to play
• 18:01
Speaker 3: the game twice. And look, I've heard I've heard this
• 18:05
Speaker 3: somewhere the other day. Let's say, like his career was
• 18:08
Speaker 3: only ten years long, he only had a ten year career,
• 18:11
Speaker 3: and he already won the two Super Bowls? What about then?
• 18:16
Speaker 3: It's not his fault that he continued to play for
• 18:18
Speaker 3: the Giants, who meant, for the majority of his career
• 18:22
Speaker 3: were not good. They were just not good. And the coach,
• 18:25
Speaker 3: you know, going through different coaches after Coughlin and everything
• 18:30
Speaker 3: like that. I mean, that's not Eli's fault. But what
• 18:33
Speaker 3: if there was he only had a ten year career,
• 18:36
Speaker 3: he could have been a first ballot, but unfortunately, you know,
• 18:39
Speaker 3: he continued on, he kept putting the You know, his.
• 18:44
Speaker 1: Also ranked pretty high up like you don't realize it,
• 18:46
Speaker 1: he ranked up pretty much in his stats. I didn't
• 18:48
Speaker 1: realize he's like top twenty five in a lot of categories.
• 18:50
Speaker 1: So you know, it's the stats don't lie, all right, cap,
• 18:54
Speaker 1: I have to say this. I was so impressed with
• 18:56
Speaker 1: your busy, busy beingus over the weekend, PINDROI probably.
• 19:01
Speaker 2: Going everywhere and anywhere in that little facility. Then you
• 19:05
Speaker 2: go to justin time, I think, go to the next game.
• 19:07
Speaker 3: I'll tell you that.
• 19:07
Speaker 2: I'm like, when does this guy ever slow down? You
• 19:09
  Speaker 2: never stop?
• 19:11
Speaker 3: No, I mean I can't, man, this is what it takes,
• 19:15
Speaker 3: this is what it is. This is what I've been doing.
• 19:19
Speaker 3: You know, if anybody looks on my page, you can
• 19:22
Speaker 3: see that that's this is what I've been doing. But
• 19:25
Speaker 3: just now, you know, ever since May, I have a
• 19:29
Speaker 3: platform to be able to share it more, which is
• 19:32
Speaker 3: Latino Sports. And that's what I feel fortunate for because
• 19:35
Speaker 3: I can't think Hector boat Champ enough for seeing something
• 19:38
Speaker 3: in me and thinking that I would be a big,
• 19:42
  Speaker 3: a good part of the team. And that's that's I
• 19:45
Speaker 3: can't thank him enough. And now it's not just about me,
• 19:49
Speaker 3: it's about the team. It's about having us grow but
• 19:51
Speaker 3: also keep helping others grow as well. Like at the
• 19:55
Speaker 3: Keith McPherson gathering atle Good Trading the other day, he's
• 20:00
Speaker 3: one hundred correct it's let's not compete here, let's collaborate,
• 20:04
Speaker 3: let's help each other. We're all doing different things, but
• 20:08
Speaker 3: everybody's doing something dope, something very cool. Whether it's photography
• 20:12
Speaker 3: or interviews or podcasts, everybody is doing something really cool.
• 20:16
Speaker 3: We should just be able to support each other like
• 20:19
Speaker 3: share follow it's everybody eats, everybody can do something great,
• 20:26
Speaker 3: and it's it's very cool to just support each other
• 20:30
Speaker 3: and help each other grow. That's always been my mission,
• 20:34
Speaker 3: and now being part of a team, I'm going to
• 20:36
Speaker 3: put all my effort into that. And so hey, look,
• 20:40
Speaker 3: you gotta be. You got to try to be everywhere
• 20:43
Speaker 3: if you can. I sometimes I wish I could just
• 20:45
Speaker 3: split myself in two and be two cases at the
• 20:47
Speaker 3: same time. It's you can only do whatever is possible.
• 20:51
Speaker 3: As in New York City tonight, are you going to
• 20:54
Speaker 3: see Lebron's last game in New York?
• 20:56
  Speaker 2: Possibly?
• 20:57
Speaker 3: No? No, I think that was last night he played, Oh,
• 21:00
Speaker 3: he played, he plays, And I was actually not at
• 21:04
Speaker 3: that game. On Sunday, I was. I was there in
• 21:07
Speaker 3: the morning because of a you know, a collaboration that
• 21:10
Speaker 3: the Knicks had with Siegaman's stable. I was Oh, yes,
• 21:13
Speaker 3: I was able to meet the owner that morning. Uh,
• 21:16
Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of that brand, so I was
• 21:18
Speaker 3: able to just you know, get a little bit of
• 21:19
Speaker 3: merchant stuff before I went to pin Strike. But I mean, hey,
• 21:23
Speaker 3: those those ticcret prices were too crazy. But hey, look,
• 21:27
Speaker 3: especially with the Knicks right now, great streak that we're on,
• 21:31
Speaker 3: we should get number seven. Tonight versus the Wizards tomorrow
• 21:34
Speaker 3: is a bigger test. Versus the Nuggets. We're getting hot
• 21:37
Speaker 3: at a great time. And the All Star Game, and
• 21:40
Speaker 3: about you know what, they beat.
• 21:41
Speaker 2: Him with joking a couple of years ago, they could
• 21:43
  Speaker 2: do it again.
• 21:43
Speaker 1: So yeah, And the trade headlines this week, I don't know,
• 21:48
Speaker 1: my thoughts are a little out there. You would probably
• 21:50
Speaker 1: think if they do get jealous, they're gonna have to
• 21:53
Speaker 1: give up a lot of haul.
• 21:53
  Speaker 3: That we're not getting Johnny's. It's not, it's not you
• 21:57
Speaker 3: know what. I can't wait for that trade deadline to
• 22:01
Speaker 3: finally just come and go, because then everybody knows that
• 22:07
Speaker 3: whoever is still a Nick, this is the team that
• 22:10
Speaker 3: we're moving with, moving forward, and now we can finally
• 22:13
Speaker 3: look towards going towards March, towards April, hopefully May, hopefully, June.
• 22:19
Speaker 3: This is the team that we're locking in with. Let's
• 22:22
Speaker 3: go because I understand, I truly this is my opinion. Kat.
• 22:28
Speaker 3: Hearing trade talks and stuff like this, it would upset anybody.
• 22:33
Speaker 3: He just got here, he thought that he was the guy.
• 22:36
Speaker 3: Now hearing that Giannis might come here whatnot, it would
• 22:40
Speaker 3: upset anyone. And I think that's what affected him. That's
• 22:43
Speaker 3: why I think that the trade deadline comes and goes
• 22:45
Speaker 3: and he still has a Nick uniform on. Okay, he's
• 22:49
Speaker 3: not going anywhere now, he can just focus on basketball.
• 22:52
Speaker 3: Let's go. Jalen og McHale Hart and you at the
• 22:57
Speaker 3: Fish come on and shan It and Deuce and co
• 23:02
Speaker 3: lickt everybody, let's go. This is the team. Let's go.
• 23:06
Speaker 2: Well, you know, it's just about rumors real quick.
• 23:08
Speaker 1: I hate when these guys get draged to I remember
• 23:10
Speaker 1: last year like Spenger Jones might be traded for Post.
• 23:13
Speaker 1: When these guys get dragged into rumors, it does do
• 23:16
Speaker 1: something to their mentality.
• 23:18
Speaker 2: And I think, of course, I mean, we can't.
• 23:20
Speaker 1: Control it, but if media could be a little more responsible,
• 23:22
Speaker 1: that'd be nice, you know.
• 23:23
Speaker 3: But hey, you can't. You can't control things that are
• 23:27
Speaker 3: said and what people talk about and stuff. But hey,
• 23:33
Speaker 3: like I said, people are human and it does affect them.
• 23:36
Speaker 3: Like you know, thinking that you're going to get moved about.
• 23:39
Speaker 1: Wilver Floor is crying at second base or shortstop when
• 23:42
Speaker 1: he thought he was traded from the Mets.
• 23:44
Speaker 2: I mean that moment. I'll never forget it happens.
• 23:46
Speaker 3: I mean, you know, you want to feel wanted, you
• 23:47
Speaker 3: want to feel at home. There's things behind the scenes
• 23:51
Speaker 3: that we don't see, and but it affects these guys.
• 23:53
Speaker 1: By the way, watch out for Trent Grisham. Him wanted
• 23:56
Speaker 1: to come back. That proves me he wants to win
• 23:58
Speaker 1: with this team. So I'm kind of excited with that.
• 24:00
Speaker 1: Let's go, all right, one last thing before I let
• 24:04
Speaker 1: you go. Favorite human interest story that you met and
• 24:08
Speaker 1: you saw over the weekend that you know you might
• 24:10
Speaker 1: drop or share in the next few days.
• 24:12
  Speaker 2: We haven't already.
• 24:18
Speaker 3: There really hasn't been anything like that that this time around.
• 24:22
Speaker 3: I mean, hey, never gets old to see os will though,
• 24:25
Speaker 3: you know, I mean what he's what he's done, what
• 24:28
Speaker 3: he's been doing with the kids and everything. I mean, well, I.
• 24:32
Speaker 1: Mean from the fan perspective, like anybody that stood out
• 24:34
Speaker 1: to you as a fan at that event because I
• 24:36
Speaker 1: mean I read the guy who had that painting. I mean,
• 24:38
Speaker 1: that was so cool to see him sign all those
• 24:41
Speaker 1: to get that board signed, that was really cool.
• 24:44
Speaker 3: I gotta be honest, Alex. You know it's there's not
• 24:47
Speaker 3: one that really stood out this year because I was
• 24:51
Speaker 3: now on the other side, you know what I'm saying
• 24:53
Speaker 3: a little bit more. But you know, an event like
• 24:57
Speaker 3: that is always special to me. It's always special to
• 24:59
Speaker 3: see you and everybody else in the in the Yankees
• 25:03
Speaker 3: content world. You know, it's never gets old, but you
• 25:08
Speaker 3: know now it's it's becoming more of a little bit
• 25:11
Speaker 3: of just having to put the work in and that's
• 25:14
Speaker 3: what we're here to do, and that's what I plan
• 25:17
Speaker 3: to do moving forward. All I can say is, you know,
• 25:21
Speaker 3: better be following Latino Sports because the content's coming.
• 25:24
Speaker 2: That's I can't wait. Well, if there's room on the bus,
• 25:27
Speaker 2: I'll go to Cooper, So I'd love to do that.
• 25:29
Speaker 3: I'll let you out. You're more than welcome with tickets.
• 25:32
Speaker 3: If we have tickets that are going to be going
• 25:33
Speaker 3: on sale or anything, You'll be the first to know.
• 25:36
Speaker 2: All right. Caleb Baskets NYC Money three to zero one
• 25:38
Speaker 2: Underscore by the way, always going to talk with you
• 25:40
Speaker 2: on my podcast and just see you around down.
• 25:43
Speaker 3: Yes, sir, thank you for having me.
• 25:44
Speaker 2: Alex you got it.
