SPEAKER_01: Now see, I can see Allison's point on this too.
• 0:02
SPEAKER_01: She just texted, she said, Nope, I want to see the fees because uh someone will take advantage uh of it all being uh rolled in.
• 0:10
SPEAKER_01: Because you and I were saying, well, just don't tell me.
• 0:12
  SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
• 0:13
SPEAKER_01: I think the ultimate fix here is somewhere, somewhere, the small businesses that have to, you know, say, Well, you know, there's a uh an extra five percent, whatever it is, three percent uh to use your card for convenience.
• 0:27
SPEAKER_01: Although it's really frankly the way we w operate.
• 0:30
SPEAKER_01: We don't operate with cash as a society as much as we did 30 years ago or checks or anything like that.
• 0:37
SPEAKER_01: And once you start a fee, how do you take it away?
• 0:38
  SPEAKER_01: Well, that's just it.
• 0:39
SPEAKER_01: Uh but I I really feel like the small businesses need to somehow band together, get with their legislation, whether it be starting local and go up from there and say there's gotta be a better way.
• 0:50
SPEAKER_01: Because would the small business like it if I if they go, well, all right, you know, a three percent fee for using your card?
• 0:56
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
• 0:57
SPEAKER_01: Um, well, then you can take ten dollars off whatever this is.
• 1:00
SPEAKER_01: They're not gonna do it.
• 1:02
SPEAKER_00: Well, no, just because you just because you say it.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_00: That's not how that works.
• 1:05
SPEAKER_01: But, you know, and and I understand it, but it's complex.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_01: I also understand what you're saying, Allison.
• 1:11
SPEAKER_01: Now, now let me ask you this.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_01: Shifting gears completely on this.
• 1:14
SPEAKER_01: You you were at a concert on Sunday night.
• 1:16
  SPEAKER_01: Sunday night.
• 1:17
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_01: By the way, did you guys get any of the storms?
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, so much.
• 1:21
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 1:22
SPEAKER_00: And but it was fine because we weren't really outside too much.
• 1:25
SPEAKER_00: It is an outdoor venue, but it has a roof.
• 1:27
  SPEAKER_01: Okay.
• 1:28
  SPEAKER_00: And everyone's inside.
• 1:29
SPEAKER_00: It's not, it's not like going to Darien where there's a part of it is lawn.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_00: No, everyone is underneath this roof.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay, so it's giant.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: But you still have to walk from building the building.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_01: Now, with said concert that you were at at the Chautauqua Institute and the storms rolling through and all that stuff, because you remember it was like mega humid, and then did you get it like overrun with bugs and s and mosquitoes?
• 1:50
  SPEAKER_01: No, I didn't really feel bad.
• 1:51
  SPEAKER_01: Oh, really?
• 1:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.

• 2:10
SPEAKER_00: Yes, it was so exciting.
• 2:12
SPEAKER_01: One of the things they had said is beyond the delays of getting the fight started, the UFC fight started at the White House was uh because of thunderstorms, was swarms of mosquitoes.
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, God.
• 2:24
SPEAKER_01: Tell me how bad it would suck to be out.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_01: I mean, and that was no cheap ticket, that uh that UFC fight at the White House.
• 2:31
SPEAKER_00: I was hoping they were at least like handing out some packets of skin so soft or something.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_01: Uh, you would think, right?
• 2:36
SPEAKER_01: Because I mean that is so you had swarms of mosquitoes, you had delays because of thunderstorms, record-setting humidity.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_01: It was like the most miserable thing.
• 2:47
SPEAKER_01: I'm kind of glad you didn't have to do that.
• 2:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_00: It sounds like something that I don't want to be at.
• 2:51
  SPEAKER_00: Because I don't love humidity and I don't love bugs.
• 2:53
SPEAKER_01: Uh, and everybody was getting it, but they claim it was a success.
• 2:58
