POSTCAST: SWEPT In Doubleheader, Mets Make a MESS Of Things And Hit ROCK BOTTOM

Locked On Mets - Daily Podcast On The New York Mets · Jun 25, 2026 · 22m

The New York Mets completely embarrassed themselves and got swept in a doubleheader against the Chicago Cubs.

Game 1 looked like it was going to be different with Nolan McLean looking good early and the Mets actually jumping out to a lead. But, McLean made two mistakes and the game flipped on it's head.

Game 2 was just a complete mess. As a team, the Mets had more ERRORS than runs. They hit four home runs, but still lost the game.

Definitely a day to forget for the Mets, as they've now lost five games in a row and are in danger of getting swept in a four game series.
