- 0:14Speaker 1: All right, man.
- 0:15Speaker 2: So let's circle back on your week two goals. You
- 0:18Speaker 2: mentioned you're getting your second step down in the run game.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Yes, sir.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And setting up the end table. So we'll start with
- 0:24Speaker 2: the football part first. How'd that first goal go for you?
- 0:27Speaker 3: I think it went pretty good. It started off where
- 0:29Speaker 3: it always starts off. Pre-practice, just make sure I'm loose,
- 0:33Speaker 3: make sure my core is activated, warm up my core
- 0:35Speaker 3: before I go out there and just Continuing to get
- 0:38Speaker 3: a deeper understanding of the game and how it works,
- 0:41Speaker 3: it's not just all about raw strength. You gotta build
- 0:43Speaker 3: it up from the ground up, cuz that's where the
- 0:44Speaker 3: base is. It starts with the feet, first two steps,
- 0:46Speaker 3: but the core's gotta be engaged and ready at all times.
- 0:48Speaker 3: So definitely pre-practice, working out the core, make sure my
- 0:51Speaker 3: hips are loose, doing windshield wipers, feeling my back crack
- 0:55Speaker 3: every time I turn, knowing it's loosening up. Cat-cow, just
- 0:58Speaker 3: making sure I'm ready then. Taking individual very serious, especially
- 1:02Speaker 3: the starts. That's why I can do it on air,
- 1:04Speaker 3: get my boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, the first two
- 1:06Speaker 3: steps down. Then taking that to the second part of
- 1:10Speaker 3: Indy whenever we go against, whenever we give ourself a look,
- 1:14Speaker 3: running in and hitting somebody, making sure our hand touch
- 1:15Speaker 3: is good, but still getting those first two steps to
- 1:17Speaker 3: bring that proper power. Then that transfers into team periods
- 1:20Speaker 3: when I'm giving the starters and the twos a look
- 1:24Speaker 3: whenever I'm on scout team or giving them a look,
- 1:27Speaker 3: making sure I'm doing the same thing, making sure I'm
- 1:29Speaker 3: running my feet, then it's time for development at the
- 1:31Speaker 3: end whenever we go basically developmental guys against developmental guys,
- 1:36Speaker 3: just doing those same things and applying it and then
- 1:39Speaker 3: just seeing the benefits of it and seeing how, you know,
- 1:42Speaker 3: my game is continuing to progress because of it.
- 1:45Speaker 1: And how about setting up those end tables?
- 1:46Speaker 2: I know that you said that was your off the
- 1:48Speaker 2: field goal.
- 1:48Speaker 3: I got them done, yeah. Now, so we play Monday,
- 1:52Speaker 3: so everything got moved a little bit. The move was
- 1:54Speaker 3: supposed to come for the guest room today, but I
- 1:57Speaker 3: had to cancel that because they were going to be
- 2:00Speaker 3: here at 4, and it's past 4 now, we're just
- 2:03Speaker 3: wrapping up, so I had to cancel that, but I'll
- 2:05Speaker 3: figure it out when I get them to come in
- 2:07Speaker 3: and do that. But everything else is good. I made
- 2:10Speaker 3: another Lego set yesterday. I did the Thanos glove, and
- 2:14Speaker 3: then I got a Wolverine one, and then I got,
- 2:16Speaker 3: I think, a 1972 Batmobile. So still, next week I'm
- 2:19Speaker 3: going to do the Wolverine claw, and then the week
- 2:22Speaker 3: after that I'm going to do the old school Batmobile.
- 2:26Speaker 2: And you got the Batman versus Superman one done last
- 2:28Speaker 2: week because you showed me that picture.
- 2:30Speaker 1: How long did that take you to get done?
- 2:32Speaker 3: The Batman vs. Superman, that one was only like maybe
- 2:33Speaker 3: an hour and a half, but the Thanos one was
- 2:35Speaker 3: a little longer. That one was about three hours, I think,
- 2:40Speaker 3: on and off, but I was like watching TV and
- 2:42Speaker 3: talking to people, so.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Your parents went to the game against Tennessee, and I
- 2:46Speaker 2: believe you said your aunt and uncle as well. Was
- 2:48Speaker 2: that the first time that your mom and dad got
- 2:51Speaker 2: to see you at the professional level?
- 2:54Speaker 3: Yeah, it was, well, yeah, first game time. They came
- 2:56Speaker 3: up to open practice, but yeah, that was the first game,
- 3:00Speaker 3: and My aunts and my girl came to the home
- 3:05Speaker 3: preseason game, but that was it as far as family-wise.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I take that back. No, they came to the first
- 3:14Speaker 3: home game.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm tripping.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I'm tripping. They came to the first home game. Oh,
- 3:17Speaker 3: my goodness. They came to the first home game.
- 3:19Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 3:20Speaker 2: You played football in Georgia your whole life, so you're
- 3:23Speaker 2: used to the heat and those.
- 3:25Speaker 1: Type of extreme conditions. What do you do?
- 3:29Speaker 2: Like in terms of precautionary measures to get yourself ready
- 3:32Speaker 2: for that based off of everything that you've experienced?
- 3:35Speaker 3: Hydrate, hydrate, and it doesn't start the night before, it
- 3:38Speaker 3: starts the week before. So you know your schedule, you
- 3:41Speaker 3: know what it should be like, what it will be around,
- 3:42Speaker 3: so just hydrate. I mean, that's it. But I also
- 3:45Speaker 3: grew up in the South, so I'm used to it. But,
- 3:49Speaker 3: I mean, at a young age, hydration was a key
- 3:52Speaker 3: factor because I was five or six years old, practicing
- 3:54Speaker 3: out there in 90-degree heat. So you're going to learn
- 3:57Speaker 3: to hide or you're going to pass out.
- 3:59Speaker 2: What are some things that you've either added or gained
- 4:02Speaker 2: or maintained in terms of the recovery process that you
- 4:05Speaker 2: do to make sure you're right at each and every
- 4:07Speaker 2: practice and all that?
- 4:08Speaker 3: I think I've added more recovery in a sense as
- 4:12Speaker 3: far as hot, cold contrast. I've added it instead of
- 4:15Speaker 3: every other day and occasionally at Georgia. It's become almost
- 4:18Speaker 3: an everyday thing here. Just learning that, grabbing a recovery
- 4:22Speaker 3: tool from Jordan.
- 4:23Speaker 1: A lot of it.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Jordan does it every day. He just Adding the tour
- 4:25Speaker 3: from him and just seeing how, I guess, less sore
- 4:30Speaker 3: I am or how better I feel the next day
- 4:32Speaker 3: after knowing that I've done my recovery after. So it's
- 4:34Speaker 3: like it resets my body faster, for sure.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I'm sure you feel this way about all your teammates,
- 4:38Speaker 2: but it had to be pretty unique and special to
- 4:40Speaker 2: see Drew go.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Out there and get that star. You guys repped together
- 4:43Speaker 1: a lot in training camp. How special was that?
- 4:46Speaker 3: It was awesome. Just getting to know Drew back in
- 4:50Speaker 3: the OTAs, I know it was a short time, but still,
- 4:53Speaker 3: like you're saying, we took a lot of reps together
- 4:54Speaker 3: at home. Just knowing the hard work and dedication and
- 4:57Speaker 3: effort that he put in every day, not knowing if
- 5:00Speaker 3: he was gonna have the opportunity to start. And just
- 5:03Speaker 3: knowing that he worked hard, he kept going, he still
- 5:06Speaker 3: pushes to this day, he gives it his all every time.
- 5:08Speaker 3: And then just seeing him go out there and do
- 5:10Speaker 3: his thing and take care of business and get the win.
- 5:12Speaker 3: for the good guys. It was awesome to see. It's
- 5:15Speaker 3: also something to look up to, look forward to, because
- 5:18Speaker 3: it shows that the work that we do, although we
- 5:20Speaker 3: might not be starters right now, the work that we
- 5:22Speaker 3: do is getting us ready for when it is our time.
- 5:23Speaker 3: We go out there and perform and do what needs
- 5:25Speaker 3: to be done to get the win.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Cam played left guard in that game. He's never played
- 5:30Speaker 2: left guard before. You have, clearly. Did he use you
- 5:34Speaker 2: as a resource at all during the week, pick your brain?
- 5:37Speaker 3: No, Cam's a baller. Cam played guard whenever Kelsey was
- 5:40Speaker 3: still here.
- 5:41Speaker 1: And 2023 play right guard.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, no, he's a pro. I mean, if anything,
- 5:47Speaker 3: I learned more from him. I'm learning from him. I
- 5:51Speaker 3: can't offer him too much. I mean, he knows it all.
- 5:53Speaker 3: I mean, I can be eyes on the sideline for him.
- 5:56Speaker 3: If he asks what happened here, what happened there, I
- 5:58Speaker 3: can give him that. But as far as advice, no,
- 6:01Speaker 3: Cam's a proven winner, elite player. So, no, he can
- 6:04Speaker 3: teach me a lot of.
- 6:05Speaker 1: Things, but no.
- 6:06Speaker 2: What do you know about Chicago, the city?
- 6:10Speaker 3: It's cold. Obviously, the team's great. I remember watching them
- 6:14Speaker 3: in the playoffs last year. They're special, special, special team. Obviously,
- 6:19Speaker 3: it's going to take a lot of work, but just
- 6:22Speaker 3: going there, putting our best foot forward and seeing what happens.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And what's your favorite Monday Night Football memory growing up?
- 6:33Speaker 3: Probably watching Ray Lewis. come out of the tunnel whenever
- 6:41Speaker 3: you do a little slide slide and break through as
- 6:44Speaker 3: a kid yeah i used to think that was the
- 6:45Speaker 3: coolest thing ever then he was so jacked with the
- 6:47Speaker 3: big arm bridge stuff yeah watching that or any any
- 6:50Speaker 3: good good defense i used to love like big hits
- 6:53Speaker 3: and stuff anybody who was a good defense the seahawks
- 6:55Speaker 3: back in the day when the legion of boom like
- 6:56Speaker 3: just anytime a big defense was playing on monday night
- 6:58Speaker 3: and then obviously the uh like the whole uh presentation
- 7:03Speaker 3: of like whenever they would walk up not walk up
- 7:05Speaker 3: like the starting lineups how they used to have it
- 7:07Speaker 3: back in the day when they would like say the
- 7:08Speaker 3: name and everything i just think that was the coolest.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Thing yeah what's what's your activity of choice on the
- 7:12Speaker 2: plane do you play cars do you sleep do you
- 7:14Speaker 2: listen to.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Music uh it depends if a new album comes out
- 7:18Speaker 3: that i like i want to hear i'll listen to
- 7:19Speaker 3: the album i'll download before the flight takes off then
- 7:22Speaker 3: i'll download it now i'll cut a movie when.
- 7:24Speaker 1: I go to sleep What's your why, Micah?
- 7:27Speaker 2: Why do you enjoy playing football?
- 7:29Speaker 1: Who do you play for?
- 7:29Speaker 3: My why would have to be the love of the
- 7:32Speaker 3: game that I fell in love with at five and six,
- 7:33Speaker 3: but the people I do it for is definitely my parents.
- 7:37Speaker 3: They go to work. They still go to work, so
- 7:40Speaker 3: for me, the job's not finished. My goal is to
- 7:41Speaker 3: retire them. Yeah, and then it just goes back like
- 7:45Speaker 3: I was telling you with my dad. He's never complained.
- 7:47Speaker 3: He's had the bad, bad days, but I've had bad days,
- 7:49Speaker 3: but he's taught me what it was like and showed
- 7:51Speaker 3: me what it was like to be a man and
- 7:52Speaker 3: take care of your responsibilities and The least I can
- 7:55Speaker 3: do is all the hours, all the time that him,
- 7:58Speaker 3: Michael Kevin poured into me, the least I can do
- 8:00Speaker 3: is give it my best and obviously the professional level
- 8:03Speaker 3: is the highest you can get. So just go out
- 8:06Speaker 3: there and take advantage of all the opportunities that I've
- 8:08Speaker 3: given and don't take the blessing that God gave me
- 8:12Speaker 3: for granted. Just be a vessel.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Now, we haven't gotten into music yet. I'm a big
- 8:17Speaker 1: music guy. What's your music genre of choice?
- 8:20Speaker 3: Hip-hop and R & B. I mean, my favorite artist
- 8:22Speaker 3: of all time is Lil Wayne. I love Lil Wayne.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I grew up with Lil Wayne, man. Carter, too.
- 8:27Speaker 3: So, you know the Carter IV, How to Love? That
- 8:30Speaker 3: was my mom's favorite song. That was the first rap
- 8:33Speaker 3: album she ever let me listen to. But it was
- 8:35Speaker 3: the clean version, and she bought that album. That was
- 8:38Speaker 3: back when CDs were still a thing, so she bought
- 8:39Speaker 3: that CD only to hear that one song, though. But
- 8:42Speaker 3: I would, like, that was the first time I was
- 8:43Speaker 3: introduced to hip-hop. So I swear there was about a
- 8:46Speaker 3: five-year run where I knew every single song on that album.
- 8:49Speaker 3: And I could still probably sing it now if it's
- 8:50Speaker 3: plain like I could sing it. Like, it was just, like,
- 8:53Speaker 3: eye-opening to me. And then the older I got, I
- 8:55Speaker 3: went back to the mixtape, Wayne, and the droughts, the dedications,
- 8:59Speaker 3: all the way up to now. Like, I just love
- 9:02Speaker 3: Lil Wayne. His whole catalog is.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Elite to me.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Now, when I was in high school, way back in
- 9:05Speaker 2: the day, I had CDs with all kinds of dedication,
- 9:08Speaker 2: the drought, all that stuff.
- 9:09Speaker 3: Yeah, and then the older I got, my dad introduced
- 9:11Speaker 3: me to DMX. uh, and the whole, the Rough Rider
- 9:14Speaker 3: era and things of that nature, and then just, yeah, hip-hop,
- 9:17Speaker 3: I would say hip-hop for sure, yeah, hip-hop.
- 9:19Speaker 2: What's a go-to song on your music playlist for game day?
- 9:22Speaker 4: Ooh, um, I don't.
- 9:25Speaker 3: Know, I'm in Philly, I would definitely say I'm a
- 9:27Speaker 3: Boss by Nick Mill and Rick Ross, um, uh, Dreams
- 9:31Speaker 3: and Nightmares, um, but then Six Foot Seven Foot is
- 9:34Speaker 3: up there for sure, um, Then Uris by Lucky. He's
- 9:40Speaker 3: actually from Chicago. And then Concrete. It's Lil Yachty's rap group.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Their last album. Then Rod Wave's new album. And then
- 9:51Speaker 3: Rio the Young OG. He just dropped an album. That's good, too.
- 9:53Speaker 3: So then, yeah, so. And then when I really want
- 9:55Speaker 3: to get current, I listen to some Youngboy. I don't
- 9:56Speaker 3: listen to him a lot, but, you know, when you
- 9:59Speaker 3: want to get hype, he's good. for it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Well, I know you like your karaoke. Yes, sir. John
- 10:03Speaker 1: by Rick Ross and.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Lil Wayne is your karaoke saga choice.
- 10:06Speaker 3: Is that correct? I didn't even know that.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I got to do my research.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Yeah. I know that song, Word for Word.
- 10:10Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:11Speaker 1: So, when's the last time you did karaoke?
- 10:14Speaker 3: We had to do it for the OTAs. We had
- 10:18Speaker 3: to choose a song, but I chose... Six foot, seven foot.
- 10:24Speaker 3: That's what I did for my song.
- 10:26Speaker 1: How did you do? How would you grade your performance?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Oh, hey, I had everybody standing up. It was good.
- 10:29Speaker 3: I feel like I was the best one for sure.

- 13:16Speaker 3: Monday night. So Saturday, I'm going to go try one.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I don't know which one yet. How about cooking? Is
- 13:21Speaker 1: that something that you enjoy?
- 13:23Speaker 3: I've been grilling. When my girl came up, I grilled
- 13:26Speaker 3: on the first time in my apartment, steaks and lamb
- 13:29Speaker 3: chops and sausages. Wagyu?
- 13:31Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 13:32Speaker 3: You got it like that. You got it like that.
- 13:34Speaker 3: I'm still real. But it was good. I went to Costco.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I saw, it was like a, I guess it's kind
- 13:41Speaker 3: of an old TikTok trend now. Like they sell like
- 13:43Speaker 3: big packets of meat for like 50 bucks, and then
- 13:45Speaker 3: you can slice it up and make a bunch of little, uh, shrimps.
- 13:47Speaker 3: So I just threw those on the grill.
- 13:48Speaker 4: So yeah.
- 13:49Speaker 1: You gotta try, uh, skirt steak.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Skirt steak, okay.
- 13:52Speaker 2: So they use that for, like, fajitas, but if you
- 13:54Speaker 2: actually cook it.
- 13:55Speaker 1: As a steak, it's really tender.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I do skirt steak and scallops.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, I love scallops.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe put some grits in there.
- 14:02Speaker 3: You saute your scallops?
- 14:04Speaker 1: I do.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:04Speaker 1: I do, and I like to char them a little bit. Yeah, okay, perfect.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I like a lot of heat.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You use lemon pepper on there, or you just use butter?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just use butter.
- 14:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 14:12Speaker 2: I like a lot of heat, too, so I'll get,
- 14:13Speaker 2: I have, like, this seasoning that I'll throw on there.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, yeah. My dad likes the heat, but, like,
- 14:18Speaker 3: I don't know how he does it.
- 14:20Speaker 1: Like, I actually eat hot peppers.
- 14:22Speaker 3: My dad does. Like, when he eats spaghetti, like, all
- 14:25Speaker 3: you smell is hot sauce. Like, I swear. And then
- 14:29Speaker 3: the next day when he heats it back up in
- 14:30Speaker 3: his little container, like, only he uses it because it's, like,
- 14:34Speaker 3: stained with hot sauce. But, like, he just loves hot sauce.
- 14:37Speaker 3: I think his taste buds are shocked.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Maybe mine are too though yeah uh how about uh
- 14:42Speaker 2: how about movies i saw a really good one uh
- 14:44Speaker 2: two nights ago the weight with.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Uh russell crowe it just came out yeah it just
- 14:48Speaker 1: came out it was really good i'm.
- 14:49Speaker 3: About to go see that i haven't heard about that
- 14:52Speaker 3: okay i'll go see that is that amc yeah i'll
- 14:55Speaker 3: go check it out yeah yeah um.
- 14:57Speaker 1: What what's uh what's on your uh on your in
- 14:59Speaker 1: your queue there i'm.
- 15:01Speaker 2: Still waiting for doomsday remember that's right that's it but
- 15:03Speaker 2: i mean nothing to fill the gaps there No, not really.
- 15:06Speaker 3: I've been doing my Legos on my off days. I'll
- 15:08Speaker 3: probably try to find a series to watch. I don't know, though.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Not to say it's, like, dead on Netflix and stuff,
- 15:14Speaker 3: but it's nothing that's really, like, piquing my interest. I've
- 15:16Speaker 3: been playing the Wolverine game.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:17Speaker 3: I have been playing that. I got the Wolverine remote control, too,
- 15:21Speaker 3: the other day, so that's been my little joy.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I mean, it kind of is dead on Netflix. I
- 15:24Speaker 2: spend 45 minutes trying to find something to watch, and
- 15:27Speaker 2: then I just give up.
- 15:28Speaker 1: I just go do something else. What's one or two things.
- 15:33Speaker 2: on the field, off the field, that you're working to
- 15:35Speaker 2: achieve this week?
- 15:37Speaker 3: This week, continuing to correct my hand placement and not
- 15:41Speaker 3: just grab, actually striking and keeping my chest up and
- 15:44Speaker 3: not lunging over. And then another thing I would say is,
- 15:49Speaker 3: I guess, consistency. Because I know I can do it.
- 15:51Speaker 3: I've done it before, but just doing it over and
- 15:54Speaker 3: over and over again to where it becomes not necessarily
- 15:56Speaker 3: a thing I can do, a thing that I do.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Just making it something that I do, not something that
- 16:01Speaker 3: I can do at times.
- 16:03Speaker 1: Appreciate the time.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Good talking to you.
