- 2:50We try and keep up with everything.
- 2:52But yeah, you're not kidding.
- 2:53Todd. It's been a busy week.
- 2:55All of a sudden, it's like the spring market floodgates opened.
- 2:58Yeah, and, I drained half a tank of gas in one day.
- 3:03I, I swear my appointments were from one end of my territory to another.
- 3:07And so it was. It was fun. It's like.
- 3:10All right, it's it. Let's let's roll.
- 3:12It's time to get busy.
- 3:13It's time to do it. Yeah.
- 3:14And your car gets good gas mileage too.
- 3:16So that's that's a lot of miles decent.
- 3:18It's it's decent.
- 3:20It's not a hybrid, but I got an accord on purpose.
- 3:23An accord sport.
- 3:24Just for a little bit of fun.
- 3:25Because I work out of my car.
- 3:28But. Yeah, but I like my car.
- 3:30It's. I like your car, too.
- 3:31Yeah. It's the second accord sport I bought.
- 3:34Yes, yes.
- 3:36There's always to go back to the reason why you bought another one.
- 3:39But yeah. That's right.
- 3:40That. But. And then.
- 3:41Then you'll get the bike out soon too.
- 3:43So I mean, it's actually I'm looking outside.
- 3:45It's Code. Oh. Oh Todd. Go ahead.
- 3:47I got the bike out earlier this week.
- 3:49I did a short ride after work and,
- 3:53Oh, I felt good.
- 3:54I came back with a smile on my face.
- 3:55My wife's like, you're happy.
- 3:57I'm like, that's my therapy right there.
- 3:59Taking a quick ride on the motorcycle.
- 4:01Yeah, that's therapy.
- 4:02You know, somebody sent me, you know, that just.
- 4:06I, I remember seeing somebody send me these pictures
- 4:08and I for, I don't know, was a meme or just a flip book, but
- 4:12this other wife posted pictures of her with her husband.
- 4:17And in every picture, the husband's expression is just flat.
- 4:21Okay? Just flat.
- 4:22You know, just like, not unhappy, but not, like, happy, right?
- 4:26And she's like,
- 4:28then she post pictures of her husband
- 4:31after he's caught a fish.
- 4:34And he is like over, like over the moon, like the biggest smile.
- 4:38He's like fist pumping.
- 4:40And one of them, he's got this pike, he's got all kinds of fish.
- 4:43And he has like the happiest ever.
- 4:44And she's like, why is his expression, like, so flat with me?
- 4:49But look, when he goes fishing. So it just kind of triggered my memory.
- 4:52You walk in and Gayle's like, oh, you're in a good mood now.
- 4:56Well, I've
- 4:57got the best of both worlds because she likes to ride with me.
- 5:00My my wife.
- 5:01Oh, yeah.
- 5:02It is not against me riding a motorcycle.
- 5:04Although I did get an email from my mom, probably about a month ago.
- 5:08Just an article about somebody that unfortunately,
- 5:12I shouldn't laugh because it is unfortunate,
- 5:13but somebody that was, injured in a motorcycle accident.
- 5:17And I realize it, it's it is a more dangerous mode of transportation.
- 5:24So I try to ride
- 5:25very defensively, but it's still fun.
- 5:29Yeah. And I'm sure it is, I'm sure it is
- 5:31All right, well, we got stuff to talk about.
- 5:34Enough of my motorcycle adventures.
- 5:36Although I might do a video someday.
- 5:38Oh. Please do. Craig.
- 5:39Yes, that might be fun.
- 5:42All right, let's let's dive into things,
- 5:45kind of a unique episode this week.
- 5:48We're going to be talking about some Spiro updates and, some listener feedback.
- 5:52We've got what Todd said.
- 5:54We've gotten some good feedback, quite a bit of interaction this week. And,
- 5:58we're going to be talking about AI editing
- 6:01and how that impacts our business, because we're seeing a lot
- 6:04more chatter about that, you know, in the, in the various Facebook groups.
- 6:08So we thought that might be something good to talk about this week.
- 6:12So yeah.
- 6:13That being said,
- 6:15you want to dive into Spiro updates first here.
- 6:18Well, actually real quick here, I want to let you guys know that we have
- 6:21made a conclusion on what we feel as though is the choice for AI photo editing.
- 6:26We're going to talk more about it. We've been working on it.
- 6:28And Spiro, it's not a Spiro product, but we've been working to integrate it
- 6:31very closely with those owners, those developers.
- 6:34And we want to make it simple for you and Spiro.
- 6:38Kind of the cool thing is, is that
- 6:40we will streamline this for you.
- 6:42So I know many of you might not have a task set up in Spiro,
- 6:46but once you integrate
- 6:48this product in the Spiro and it's free to free to try, free to you,
- 6:51free to try free to integrate, okay, you'll pay for your usage.
- 6:55And we'll get into that a little bit.
- 6:56It's probably cheaper than you're paying your human editors right now, but
- 7:00we have streamlined that process for you and want to make it simple for you.
- 7:03So we're going to go into more of that.
- 7:05But, just personally, myself and Jess, our director of operations,
- 7:10at Wow we've been looking at AI editing for years, literally years,
- 7:14we thought about developing something two years ago, that was when we are going,
- 7:19you know, when Spiro was just very we were in the very early development
- 7:23stages of the refactor of Spiro when we created it again.
- 7:27Maybe that was three years ago. My memory's not too great.
- 7:29But anyways, we decided we wanted to focus on the software of Spiro,
- 7:34and we would see what the industry would do it.
- 7:37AI editing and so we've tested everything that's out there.
- 7:41We've talked to
- 7:42everyone, we've looked at everything, we've looked at trying to do it ourselves.
- 7:45And I'm super excited about the company that we are suggesting
- 7:49that we've integrated with, and that you'll be able to use,
- 7:52values align and all those things.
- 7:54So we're going to go into a little more detail, but
- 7:57and we're going to talk about the different aspects of it,
- 7:59because AI just as a big thing in that industry in the world right now,
- 8:03because I is going to help streamline some of your processes.
- 8:06You'll probably save some money on this.
- 8:08You'll have quicker turnaround, but you've got photo editors
- 8:11that you might have a relationship like, what do you do with time?
- 8:14And it's like we're humans, human to human. So.
- 8:16Right.
- 8:17We're going to get into that.
- 8:18But I am excited to announce that we've been looking at this for a long time.
- 8:21The team at Wow is excited.
- 8:22We're going to use it. So
- 8:25so we will dive into those topics.
- 8:27But first I think we're going to go we're going to put that on.
- 8:30Hold on.
- 8:30We're going to go and the Spiro updates I believe Craig.
- 8:33Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:34So a lot a lot rolling out that has just rolled out and we'll continue to.
- 8:39So what's going on.
- 8:40Yeah.
- 8:41So this update is a big one.
- 8:42Let me pull my list over here.
- 8:44Now you'll be able to see this and the release notes
- 8:47I'll put a little bubble and your Spiro system also in the knowledge base
- 8:51you can search for the updates and you can read all this here.
- 8:54But we have some things as far as landing pages.
- 8:57So you're going to be able
- 8:58to build a landing page and advertise multiple order pages on it.
- 9:02Make it your colors, make it your brand.
- 9:04Excuse me, all of that stuff. So that is done.
- 9:06We're excited about that update.
- 9:08Craig, what that's going to allow users to do is they'll be able to create a page
- 9:14where they can advertise their residential order page, their commercial short
- 9:21term rentals, headshots, lifestyle photos, whatever it may be.
- 9:25And that's just going to be a nice spot for your clients to start
- 9:28so that they can get to the correct order page.
- 9:33Along with that,
- 9:34we gave you some new assignment types for order pages.
- 9:37So we used to just have public and private,
- 9:40and now you have a few more as to where you can say
- 9:43it's a default order page, which means anybody can use it.
- 9:46That's what's going to go on a landing page.
- 9:48You can make it an assigned only.
- 9:50This is more like your broker deal
- 9:51or your special deal where it has to be assigned to a user.
- 9:55And then Craig, we did one more thing based on user feedback
- 9:59is that we did a new client only assignment type.
- 10:03So the system will detect if this client has ever placed an order.
- 10:07If they have not and they have your link, you know you're going
- 10:11to advertise that form like, hey, I use this link for your first order.
- 10:16You can advertise whatever you want.
- 10:17Many of you're doing a free shoot,
- 10:18a 50% off shoot, or you have a special defined order page,
- 10:22and there's not really an assignment type that fits that perfectly right now.
- 10:26And this new update will allow you to fine tune that process.
- 10:30Nice flexibility it is.
- 10:33And especially when clients are new,
- 10:36we want to make them feel very at home and make it feel custom to them.
- 10:40So when you're building out your new client, order page,
- 10:43use different verbiage in the bundle name.
- 10:45Write descriptions that maybe a new client doesn't know.
- 10:49Make sure you can attach custom questions that are only asked to new clients.
- 10:54You know, I talked to I talked to someone the other day on a coaching call
- 10:58and they asked about,
- 10:59their new luxury video edit is taking two days to turnaround,
- 11:03and there was some confusion about expectations from their clients.
- 11:07And you can do that with a custom question.
- 11:11That's a little bit different than a new client,
- 11:12but you could attach a question to a new client
- 11:15that set expectations or tells them or say, hey, do you want an onboarding call?
- 11:19We'll be happy to call you to tell you about how you can use this media
- 11:23so you can do some fun things
- 11:24there just to set proper expectations and give clear communication.
- 11:29Excellent.
- 11:30I'm going to fly through the rest of the list
- 11:32because let's get to we've got some listener feedback.
- 11:34We want to mention some users.
- 11:35So let's get to this quickly.
- 11:37You'll be able to delete
- 11:38many of the records that you used to not be able to delete, i.e.
- 11:42photographers, editor, service categories, service areas.
- 11:47You'll be able to clean up your system.
- 11:49Craig. It's a perfect time.
- 11:50It's spring cleaning to clean up your Spiro system.
- 11:52Get the old user types out of there.
- 11:54There you go.
- 11:56And then, two more quick things.
- 11:58The first one is very quick for our international users.
- 12:01All of the other pages that you wanted translated,
- 12:04that is the invoices and the company portal that will be done.
- 12:08So it will be in the language
- 12:10that you choose or the language that your user selects.
- 12:13If you're using multiple languages, which is cool.
- 12:16And then finally, the best one, for me, I think it's great.
- 12:19We're going to help you sell better on the order page.
- 12:22So on your bundles you can load more media.
- 12:25You can put a GIF in there.
- 12:26You can put a video in there.
- 12:28Craig, we know that our clients don't really know everything we do
- 12:32and we all create great videos.
- 12:34There are some fabulous videos out there. I've been watching them.
- 12:37You guys are creating some really masterpieces of videos.
- 12:40And when a client gets to an order page, if you're selling that video,
- 12:45they should see it play right now you can only put one photo on a bundle
- 12:51after this update, which is going to be Monday,
- 12:53March 6 to 7, eight, nine, ten to March 10th.
- 12:58You will be able to load more photos.
- 13:00They can cycle through the photos.
- 13:02You better put a video or a GIF.
- 13:04We've also streamlined the way that service is show
- 13:07so more than three at a time.
- 13:09We'll show we're allowing you to put a tag that could be like,
- 13:12say, 50% best seller tag to the client.
- 13:16And then you're going to get different sizes of bundle cards.
- 13:19Right now, the card that shows will be what we call small.
- 13:23You'll get a medium card too.
- 13:25So if you want to draw attention to a particular bundle, make it bigger.
- 13:30It will stand out on the page.
- 13:32Maybe you'll sell more of it.
- 13:33I think you'll sell more of it.
- 13:34But we're doing all of these e-commerce things to help you guys look better.
- 13:39It's a fabulous face lift to the order page, and it will give
- 13:43you just ways that you can bring it to life.
- 13:45With all of the beautiful media that you produce.
- 13:48That's incredible.
- 13:50And e-commerce is I mean, that's important.
- 13:52There's reasons behind, everything that you do
- 13:55on a website and especially in the e-commerce type site.
- 13:59I actually worked in e-commerce for a couple of years, and I still remember,
- 14:04the thing they pounded it
- 14:06into our head is get people to the information they need
- 14:08and want in as few clicks as possible, make it sales
- 14:11because you want to retain them on that page.
- 14:15You don't want them bouncing.
- 14:16So we're doing our best to help you retain those
- 14:20that are coming to your ordering site through Spiro.
- 14:22So great updates Todd. That's awesome.
- 14:24Yeah, we're excited about that.
- 14:25And a huge shout out to all of our our users and our supporters.
- 14:29Our fans.
- 14:30These come from you all.
- 14:33You you ask us about them.
- 14:34You leave them on the feedback board.
- 14:37You can get to the feedback board inside of Spiro.
- 14:39Look in the upper right hand corner for the toggle that says feedback.
- 14:42Leave them on there, upvote them. But these come from you.
- 14:45We want this to feel like your system.
- 14:46We we we are.
- 14:48You remember, you know, we own and run a real estate media company.
- 14:52So thank you for the feedback.
- 14:54I mean, we won't be here without you guys for sure.
- 14:57And speaking of listener feedback.
- 14:59Yep. We we've got some good feedback that came in this week
- 15:03that we want to highlight.
- 15:05We do.
- 15:06So we
- 15:08so shout out to Gregory W he asked about
- 15:13he he is getting his business off the ground I believe him.
- 15:16And I actually Craig, I'm not sure of the status of the business.
- 15:19So Gregory, if you got to establish business. Sorry.
- 15:22I don't know the size of Gregory's business, but he did have a question.
- 15:25Is like, how do I get more of my clients to order from the order page?
- 15:28You know, they like to call me.
- 15:29They like to text me, which is normal.
- 15:32They will like to do that.
- 15:33But what we suggest is that you create a video of yourself placing an order,
- 15:40talking about how to use a system, how to log in,
- 15:44how they don't have to have a new password assist, a Pin code of their cell phone.
- 15:47It's super simple.
- 15:49So what I did is I created a video
- 15:54as the owner of Wow, our media company,
- 15:58to wow clients, but this is an example of what you guys can create.
- 16:02So you if you're like, hey, I know what to do, great.
- 16:04If you want some inspiration as to what we would send to our clients,
- 16:09go to the knowledge base and search for how to place an order.
- 16:12And I think I've titled it like create this video.
- 16:16I've done a video there speaking to Realtors, so it's great
- 16:21for you guys to do this.
- 16:22We could do a general Spiro video, but the problem is, is now it would be me
- 16:27in the video or would be a voice over and it wouldn't be your order page.
- 16:32It wouldn't be your colors, your branding, it wouldn't be you.
- 16:35I think the power of this is the connection that you build
- 16:39with your clients.
- 16:40So get loom, get a video recording software,
- 16:44do a two minute video, and then put it in your knowledge base.
- 16:47Put on your website, put in your Instagram, put it in your email signature,
- 16:51send it out in your newsletter, put it everywhere and say, hey,
- 16:54here's how to place an order and then keep creating those.
- 16:57And what you've done is you've essentially begun to multiply yourself,
- 17:01because anyone who has that question,
- 17:04they can self-serve at any time of the day and they don't need you,
- 17:08and then they have a better understanding and all at the same time, they know you.
- 17:13After the video, they're familiar.
- 17:15They hear your voice. So,
- 17:18so yeah, thank you, Gregory, for that suggestion.
- 17:21That video is live on the knowledge base.
- 17:23For Spiro, if you're like, hey, where's the knowledge base?
- 17:26Log in to Spiro, upper right hand corner.
- 17:28Click the question mark. Bubble.
- 17:31Absolutely. It's all about relationships.
- 17:33So that's if we had one theme on this podcast that I would say
- 17:38the importance of relationships in building business.
- 17:41Oh, we should almost rename the podcast Craig.
- 17:47Should we take, listener suggestions?
- 17:49Make it a contest.
- 17:50I bet we get some really creative titles.
- 17:53Yeah, yeah, as you all can tell.
- 17:55I mean, you know us, we don't name things very well.
- 17:56We call it the Spiro podcast.
- 17:58So just like we had this scheduler called the scheduler, but kiss.
- 18:03Hey, keep it simple, stupid.
- 18:07Oh, exactly.
- 18:07Yeah I agree, I agree.
- 18:11Anyway, I also
- 18:12wanted to mention Jacob so Jacob way.
- 18:16Jacob. Sorry. If you want me to say your last name, I don't think you'll care.
- 18:18I know Jacob pretty well, but Jacob sent me a quick note.
- 18:22He had just hired his first photographer.
- 18:24His businesses growing like crazy.
- 18:25So he's got a new team member, and he happened to be in the
- 18:30not so glamorous point of fixing a mistake that the photographer made him.
- 18:36And it was a simple mistake.
- 18:38It's a mistake every photographer almost makes at one point or the other,
- 18:42and this is the second fix on the on one listing.
- 18:46So it's like a double whammy.
- 18:48Yeah. He's just like,
- 18:50you know, we all know it, right?
- 18:52It's like when bad things happen, you get that,
- 18:55you know that pit in your stomach?
- 18:58Yep. And, he just gave a shout out.
- 19:00He just so happened to be listening to podcasts.
- 19:01I think when he's driving 50 minutes away to fix this mistake for the second time,
- 19:06because the photographer didn't fix it correctly the first time or
- 19:09forgot something else.
- 19:11But it was cool to hear from, you know, just it's we all do it.
- 19:15It's all part of growth. Yeah.
- 19:18That's the thing.
- 19:19And I happened to talk to Jacob in a coaching call a day or two ago.
- 19:22And the thing is, is.
- 19:23And then he actually had this perspective.
- 19:25He's like, you know, I might be training my photographer
- 19:29who's going to train all of my photographers in the future.
- 19:34So, you know, it's it's, it's while you're training your photographer,
- 19:38the first one is definitely the hardest one to do
- 19:40because you don't have any structure, you've never done it before.
- 19:44And a lot of the things that you do, it's just second nature, right, Craig?
- 19:47Think of how many things you do a day
- 19:49that you're like, hey, I don't even think about, right?
- 19:51Taking these photos or video.
- 19:54And when you're training somebody, you got to slow down and think through
- 19:57all those things
- 19:57that you've gotten to the point in your career that you take for granted.
- 20:02Exactly.
- 20:02And, and you don't have any to your,
- 20:05your brain, your left brain is telling you you don't have any time to slow down.
- 20:08Right, right.
- 20:11So then when you have to fix mistakes
- 20:13for your photographer, it's like why do I do this?
- 20:17It's like, no, wait a minute.
- 20:18This is this is for good.
- 20:20Like, this individual might actually be doing my job in three years.
- 20:24And, so pour into your people when mistakes happen, celebrate them.
- 20:29We call them wearing a badge of failure and, you know, learn from the mistakes.
- 20:33But, Jacob, thanks for that.
- 20:35- That message in - absolutely.
- 20:38All right.
- 20:39A comment from Adrian in Atlanta as well.
- 20:42Yes. Adrian, thank you for, your detective work.
- 20:47You noticed that somehow the stat counter in the bottom
- 20:50of the property websites was hidden or went away.
- 20:53Oh, we got it back online very quickly, but thank you for noticing that.
- 20:56That is now back down there.
- 20:58That's on the websites that display
- 21:00are your media shows how many times the page has been visited.
- 21:03So if your agent is curious they can go and look at that.
- 21:07So Adrian, thanks for that detective work.
- 21:10Yeah for sure.
- 21:11Can I relate a quick story to response time on on fixing mistakes.
- 21:16So we jumped right on that mistake that Adrian very kindly pointed out.
- 21:21I did a presentation this week, Todd, for a team that we shoot for, in my market
- 21:26and the rest of the team doesn't do a ton of listings.
- 21:30So the, the head, realtor was just giving a testimony
- 21:34of the great experience that they've had with with us with Wow video tours.
- 21:38And she said, we've used them for about three years.
- 21:41And what?
- 21:41Craig, I think we had one issue and they jumped on it and got it addressed
- 21:46super quick, the ability to respond quickly
- 21:50to client concerns, critically important.
- 21:54And she just sang our praises about how good we are.
- 21:57And I kind of I kind of almost had to backtrack her a little bit and say,
- 22:02so we do make mistakes, and some of those mistakes
- 22:05will take longer to respond to than others, but we do our best.
- 22:09I, I, I like to be transparent with clients
- 22:12and yes, we we always aim for excellence.
- 22:15And we aim for perfection, but we're human beings, right?
- 22:18So just do your best in addressing the mistakes that you do make,
- 22:23and give your best effort to respond to those in a timely manner.
- 22:26And most people will give that grace and appreciate
- 22:30that you're trying to take care of them.
- 22:32So she bragged on us, made us sound like we were almost perfect.
- 22:35Like, okay, let's dial it back just a little bit.
- 22:39You know,
- 22:40we do our we do our best, but, you know, and then thank her for the very,
- 22:45generous amount of praise she was giving our team.
- 22:47But, yeah, you make the you make the effort, and people will appreciate that.
- 22:52Yeah. And isn't that.
- 22:52Isn't it just so crazy, Craig, how you take a mistake?
- 22:57You know, problem, let's call it it's a problem.
- 23:00And how when a realtor says one thing about you,
- 23:03they talk about how great you were with that mistake.
- 23:07I mean, that's just it's almost like reverse psychology because it's like,
- 23:12wait a minute, it was bad.
- 23:13But now you think more highly of me.
- 23:18Because of the way, you know, we were able to fix this situation, right?
- 23:22So, you know, I kind of have a rule here
- 23:24that when we make these mistakes and again,
- 23:28I call them gaps when we have gaps in business and errors happen,
- 23:33I think you should be over reactive to fixing the mistake.
- 23:38Now there's a difference here.
- 23:41You shouldn't be overly reactive for continuing to bring it up and apologize.
- 23:45I think it's okay to apologize and take full responsibility for the mistake.
- 23:50But yeah, the way you remedy the mistake
- 23:54should be way over and above what anybody would imagine.
- 23:58So you know,
- 24:01for me, we had a client call
- 24:02in this week, and I actually haven't talked to a Wow client for a lot of years.
- 24:06I've we have a fabulous team at Wow they take care of it.
- 24:10You know, this is this is a realtor.
- 24:12This is a realtor that I used to shoot for.
- 24:14So she's been with us for over a decade,
- 24:17and I know her quite well.
- 24:20No, I haven't talked to her for a long time,
- 24:22but I had a good relationship with her,
- 24:24and I heard that we screwed something up and she was not too happy.
- 24:28And I was like, oh, I'll call her.
- 24:30And, you know, I, I just so happened to be meeting with Jess at the time, and,
- 24:34and Brittany came in was like, hey, we kind of got this thing going right now.
- 24:37This is what I'm doing.
- 24:38And Brittany came in with a solution, which was great.
- 24:40It's fabulous when your employees come with a solution.
- 24:43And this is where I is the owner off, I'm like, hey, I know her very well.
- 24:46I'll call her.
- 24:47And, you know, Brittany kind of looked at me
- 24:49like, oh, you you actually do work here.
- 24:57I was like,
- 24:58and then she's like, okay, yeah, if you'll call her.
- 25:02And I strategically do this every once in a while,
- 25:05I think it is important that you sometimes, as the owner,
- 25:10just do the work you,
- 25:13I did that purposefully.
- 25:15I had full trust
- 25:16that Brittany solution was going to fix it and that Jess would step in.
- 25:20But I haven't done this in a very long time, and I wanted to be like,
- 25:23hey, I got you guys, I know her.
- 25:25I've got the easy button,
- 25:26and you won't have to worry about this when I'm done with it.
- 25:30So I strategically did that.
- 25:33Don't always do that because there was many years that I always did that.
- 25:37And you know what I did? You know what happened?
- 25:39I got a long pile.
- 25:41I got a long list of work that I was supposed to do from all my employees,
- 25:45and I was doing their work, and I just could do it really well.
- 25:48And I was their easy button.
- 25:50So you don't want to do this a whole lot,
- 25:51but you want to be strategic with when you offer the work that you do.
- 25:56So I called this agent apologize.
- 25:58I got the backstory from the team, which is great.
- 26:02I knew everything that was going on.
- 26:03I knew the client happened to be sick as well, and I apologized.
- 26:07I connected with her,
- 26:10and a lot of
- 26:11times I'm like, oh, I'm so sorry, Lisa, that we caused this.
- 26:14I just, hey, I know how busy you are, and I know you were sick too.
- 26:17And she's like, oh, I've been sick, you know, it's okay. And
- 26:21so long story short, Craig is this isn't about the topic.
- 26:23This isn't the topic of the podcast today.
- 26:25But, you know, we had already comped that shoe.
- 26:28Brittany just did that proactively.
- 26:30And we do that
- 26:31to make sure that they understand we are sorry and we want them to be happy.
- 26:36I made that clear.
- 26:37Lisa was thankful for that.
- 26:39But then I was like, hey, I looked up, she had a shoot on the books coming up.
- 26:42I comp that sucker to our comp the drone, and I can't do community photos.
- 26:46And I'm like, hey, this one's on me.
- 26:47Like, I've already zeroed all those out.
- 26:49I'm like, you know, I'm so sorry that, you know, I this is on us.
- 26:53We don't want to cause, you know, issues.
- 26:56We're sorry that we were a point of frustration.
- 26:59What we what?
- 27:00Lisa, I want you to be happy.
- 27:02And I say those things.
- 27:03That's that's verbiage that I typically use with an unhappy client.
- 27:07I want you to be happy.
- 27:09And it's just it's kind of interesting how those saying those feelings
- 27:15might seem weird to
- 27:16you, but when you say them,
- 27:19it's almost like this magical thing where like, what's Lisa going to say?
- 27:23Like, no, Todd, I don't want you to be I don't want
- 27:26you don't want to be not want. You want me to be happy.
- 27:28Yeah. I don't want to be happy. Like I want to be mad at you.
- 27:31Yeah.
- 27:31You're making it too hard.
- 27:33Yeah.
- 27:35So by the end of the conversation,
- 27:37she was literally thanking me, thanking me for the over ten years.
- 27:42And she was talking about how great the team was.
- 27:45And it's just how you can just flip something on its head,
- 27:48just go over and above with beyond, with over and beyond, above and beyond.
- 27:53I'll get it.
- 27:53There you all are above and beyond with how you handle a bad situation
- 27:58and you can have a client for life.
- 28:03And then also as the flip side of this and I'll stop talking.
- 28:05Craig, you all know I can talk, but then going back to the team
- 28:09and letting them know it was handled,
- 28:11you know, letting them know if there's there was no follow up in this,
- 28:13but just letting them know everything that happened.
- 28:15I put notes in Spiro so that it was logged and all that good stuff.
- 28:18But just how you can close
- 28:20those loops of communication and how sometimes you can very strategically
- 28:24take work off of your employees plate, and it builds their trust with you.
- 28:29And even more, it takes one thing that was difficult off their plate.
- 28:32This was an easy call for me.
- 28:33Honestly, I kind of enjoyed the call. I really like her.
- 28:36I enjoyed doing this,
- 28:38but it was great to go back then to Brittany and be like, hey, you're good.
- 28:41You don't have to worry about this. She's over the moon.
- 28:43She actually was very thankful
- 28:44for the way that you worked and you help the situation.
- 28:47So do that strategically.
- 28:49Don't make it a habit of always taking their work,
- 28:52because now you've taken their job description.
- 28:54Awesome. Well, there.
- 28:56But some more input on how to handle mistakes and make the best of them.
- 29:00Yeah, that was just a bonus for a day.
- 29:02So hopefully there was something in there for y'all to use.
- 29:05Craig, we got to switch in here quickly.
- 29:07Yeah, we got a book winner. Craig.
- 29:09Yeah, the winner of the John Maxwell.
- 29:12Here, let me get it.
- 29:12More on camera.
- 29:13The, developing the leader with a new version 2.0.
- 29:17Congratulations to, to Phil, an international listener.
- 29:22Yeah.
- 29:23Over there in Scotland, a Phil, congratulations.
- 29:25I will we will get this book to you.
- 29:28Yeah. Phil's a good friend of Spiro.
- 29:30We've known him for a long time, so.
- 29:32Yeah, we're going to put this one on a boat and get it over to you.
- 29:34Phil.
- 29:37Do I have to paddle the boat?
- 29:39I don't have to do that part, do I?
- 29:41Wait, well, maybe we'll do.
- 29:42We could do a two man boat and, go for some record, Craig.
- 29:47Craig, you know what's funny is I actually I would like to go to Scotland.
- 29:50My Instagram feed.
- 29:51I've had, photos of Scotland, like showing up.
- 29:55I must have clicked on one.
- 29:56And now, of course, the algorithm now just feeds, and that's like, man,
- 29:59I kind of want to go to Scotland now.
- 30:01Craig, what if you hand delivered the book to Phil?
- 30:04Will the company pay for that?
- 30:05I'll do that in a heartbeat and I will do that for you.
- 30:08If you send me over, I will hand deliver this just to Phil.
- 30:12Well, my brother works for American.
- 30:13I maybe get you a buddy pass over there.
- 30:15Hey, you know what?
- 30:18I just we're totally going off the rails here.
- 30:21So another reason I would love to go to Scotland all of my life.
- 30:24My mom said that, we had Irish heritage, right?
- 30:27I had some Irish blood in me.
- 30:29Okay, so we did one of those, ancestry DNA type tests.
- 30:34Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:35And it came back.
- 30:36I really didn't have really any Irish blood on me at all,
- 30:40but I, I had Scottish, Scott.
- 30:43Okay. Scottish. I'm part Scottish, so. Okay.
- 30:48I would love to go to Scotland.
- 30:49Let me talk to my brother.
- 30:51Gets you, gets you a buddy. Take it over there.
- 30:53You heard it, Phil. You're my witness.
- 30:56All right,
- 30:59so, Phil, congratulations.
- 31:00Well get the book out to you
- 31:02Now, it might take a month on the on the slow boat to Scotland, but.
- 31:06Yeah, we'll get something to you here.
- 31:09Awesome.
- 31:09I don't have a book to give away this week.
- 31:11I totally
- 31:12forgot to check my shelf this morning, but we'll, we'll get back on that, so.
- 31:16Yeah. Stay tuned. That was that was a good idea. Craig.
- 31:18If someone has a question or someone has some input,
- 31:22what's the best way for them to get Ahold of us?
- 31:24Yeah. So just drop us an email.
- 31:27Hello@spiro.media.
- 31:29We we answer those as as fast as we can.
- 31:32Yeah.
- 31:33And you all get, like,
- 31:34if you if you want to talk to Craig, want to talk to me, say,
- 31:36hey, just send this to Craig, send this to Todd.
- 31:39The team will tag us and that it will get to us.
- 31:41And then we'll be able to respond from that point.
- 31:42Yeah, absolutely.
- 31:44Absolutely. Cool.
- 31:46All right.
- 31:47So thank you to all of you, giving us feedback and asking questions.
- 31:51And we would love hearing from you.
- 31:53It makes this podcast fun.
- 31:54Just a chance to that's built.
- 31:56So we appreciate you guys.
- 31:58Just a couple of big guys here in the cornfields of northwest Ohio.
- 32:02Hopefully sharing some, some things with you
- 32:04that are helping you build strong businesses. All right.
- 32:07Speaking of building strong business and technology that impacts our business.
- 32:11Let's get back to the, AI photo editing, a lot of chatter going on about this
- 32:17and how it's going to affect our business, how it's going to affect our editors.
- 32:21I don't even really know where to start with this.
- 32:24So do you want to kind of kick things off here?
- 32:26Yeah. So we I'd I'd love to.
- 32:29And you know, this is something we've been looking at
- 32:32for many years now like I mentioned.
- 32:34And AI is impacting us everywhere.
- 32:36Right, Craig?
- 32:37I mean, it's, you know, specifically with us, we're discussing the,
- 32:41the editing portion of it today, but,
- 32:45AI is pretty prevalent even in our industry.
- 32:47As to there's virtual staging by AI, there are,
- 32:51property descriptions, lots of stuff that's happening.
- 32:54Many of you write emails and newsletters and all that stuff.
- 32:57You know, there's there's many ways I'm no master of AI.
- 33:00I have some things that I typically use it
- 33:02for, but it's impacting the world and how we do things.
- 33:07And I truly see it as no different than a tool.
- 33:10It's a tool.
- 33:11Just like, you know, I use the analogy of a calculator, but
- 33:15it's no different than when calculators were created.
- 33:17It's going to allow you to work more efficiently,
- 33:19but what it's going to do is it's going to disrupt some industries.
- 33:23And, it's and there's always good and bad with disruption.
- 33:29You know,
- 33:29change is not usually ever easy, but change is good.
- 33:33And I think change is needed for growth and for progress.
- 33:37But when you have change, you just need to be aware of
- 33:39some of the people that might be negatively impacted by the change.
- 33:44So like I mentioned, we had
- 33:46we are finalized with the solution and we
- 33:51AI honestly hasn't been there for photo editing
- 33:55up until this point.
- 33:56We've looked at and we've really hoped we've like oh this has some promise
- 34:01but just haven't felt really good about
- 34:04pushing our jobs at Wow video tours through it.
- 34:08And we do now, we really do.
- 34:12So let me ask you then, what what his precipitated that change.
- 34:15What's what's made you decide?
- 34:16Okay, it's it's ready now for us.
- 34:19Excuse me.
- 34:19For us to use what what's the the difference been?
- 34:23The the quality in the final image.
- 34:24And this is kind of interesting, Craig, as to where this individual,
- 34:28the owner of this company, he also owns a real estate media company.
- 34:33Okay.
- 34:34He's a Spiro user.
- 34:35I met him in Vegas. Fantastic individual.
- 34:38And I'm like, well, how did you get this figured out?
- 34:42So this individual's
- 34:45just incredibly smart as well.
- 34:47And he's got, you know, his degrees of machine learning.
- 34:50But his insight
- 34:53to the industry, because he's an owner of a real estate
- 34:57media company is really what gave him the upper hand,
- 35:01understanding the way that the language need to be written
- 35:06and how it needed to learn, which is kind of cool because it kind of
- 35:10correlates with our story here at Spiro, because we feel, though our
- 35:14unique advantage with Spiro is the fact that we just don't create software.
- 35:19We are a real estate media company.
- 35:21We do 12,000 plus jobs here.
- 35:23We do it at a very large level.
- 35:25That's what allows us to truly understand what a real estate photographer needs.
- 35:30So I thought it was just kind of neat how our stories connected with that.
- 35:34And his advantage was the fact that, like,
- 35:36he really knows what you need because he's got the same clients as you.
- 35:42Maybe not the same same clients, but maybe.
- 35:45Maybe. Yeah, exactly.
- 35:48Yeah.
- 35:48He knows the brain of a realtor and what they expect, right.
- 35:51Exactly.
- 35:53So if somebody wanted to start
- 35:56to implement this in their process, it this company
- 36:00that that we're starting this relationship with, is it accessible through Spiro.
- 36:04How how does that work.
- 36:05It is yes.
- 36:06And we're excited were the first to integrate it. Yeah.
- 36:09And what you can do is you can go to Settings Integrations,
- 36:12click on external editors and you can add it all there.
- 36:15So it's free to sign up.
- 36:17Just click the button in there because it will connect everything.
- 36:20And the neat thing is the way we're building out this process and
- 36:24this will probably be done by the time
- 36:27you listen to this, but you'll be able to connect the account.
- 36:30But what we're also going to do is we're going to automatically
- 36:32create a task for you that's assigned to the AI,
- 36:35and then you can tell us what services need photo editing.
- 36:39So many of you come to us and you say, hey,
- 36:42I'm ready to streamline my task and workflows and
- 36:48that is the most
- 36:49complicated but the most powerful part in the system.
- 36:52And you can build those things.
- 36:53And we have the Spiro Academy. We have knowledge based guides.
- 36:56We can help you in chat,
- 36:58but this is the first time that we can just do it for you,
- 37:00so you won't have to worry about creating the task.
- 37:03You won't have to worry about creating the editor, just click the button and Spiro
- 37:06and when you do it in Spiro, it will connect all of that for you.
- 37:10And we're going to streamline the process.
- 37:12You'll need to integrate Dropbox.
- 37:14You'll find more information inside of Spiro about how to do this.
- 37:16But we are giving you all the easy button so that you can set Queue this up,
- 37:22and you don't have to worry about going through the guides and the Spiro
- 37:25Academy, the pink chat bubble, like it's literally just going to be done for you.
- 37:29That's fantastic.
- 37:31Yeah.
- 37:31So we're excited about that.
- 37:33Cool.
- 37:35So Craig what so you know the impact of this.
- 37:39You know, how is this let's talk about just the impact of the of AI.
- 37:44You know, what's this going to mean to our clients.
- 37:47Think of you think of your clients.
- 37:50How is this going to impact them?
- 37:51I know you were supposed to ask me this question.
- 37:53I'm kind of throwing you for a hug, but I think.
- 37:55Okay, so think of AI. 30 minute turnaround.
- 37:59The quality is better.
- 38:01The quality is better than what we are sending to our clients right now.
- 38:05- Gotta make them happy - and we're going to save.
- 38:07We are going to save money on the cost of goods.
- 38:10I mean, that's a win win all around, right?
- 38:14Might even depending on on your set up, might enable you to do
- 38:18same day delivery if, if we're getting the photos
- 38:20back in a half hour, if we if we have a way of uploading those,
- 38:24you know, that shoot out in the field, which can be a challenge.
- 38:29Imagine. Yes.
- 38:30Imagine the turnaround in response time
- 38:33that you'll be able to offer your clients again
- 38:37if you have that ability to to upload on the fly.
- 38:40Yeah. Pretty cool.
- 38:42You know, you think about if you're in a most major cities
- 38:46and most not even super major cities have a good 5G connection.
- 38:51You know, just tether pull, you know,
- 38:53import from your card and get it to the Dropbox folder.
- 38:58You know, complete the shoot.
- 39:00The Dropbox folder happens automatically.
- 39:02Just drag those things into Dropbox and let it sync.
- 39:05You know, you could leave it open on your seat beside you when you're
- 39:08driving to the next job, and as long as you got a good data connection going up,
- 39:12those things could be uploaded in literally by the end of the next job.
- 39:16They could be done.
- 39:19It's crazy just to.
- 39:20Yeah, just to think about that.
- 39:23You know, I'm still kind of in between on that, Craig
- 39:24guys that like that is a cool feature.
- 39:26But I'm trying to think and you all comment
- 39:28and below leave us a comment like what are your thoughts on that?
- 39:31That is.
- 39:33So I'm trying to think of the brain of a realtor right now.
- 39:36The we know when a realtor has not playing very well and they need last minute,
- 39:41or maybe they've planned well and just something has come on their doorstep.
- 39:44I don't want to assume
- 39:44realtors know playing well when they need it today or tomorrow.
- 39:48This will help them.
- 39:50I know a lot of our clients though, Craig, and correct me if I'm wrong, but
- 39:54as we become part of their process,
- 39:58they understand our turnaround time and then they're beginning to,
- 40:01you know, they listing launch date is Wednesday, which means
- 40:04I need to have Wow out there on Friday or Monday.
- 40:07So I have a day or two to look at everything and load it to the system.
- 40:12You know, I don't know, maybe
- 40:13this is, does this just give them an excuse to wait a little bit longer?
- 40:16Same day turnaround?
- 40:18I mean, you could approach it where you don't necessarily advertise
- 40:23that you can turn things around
- 40:24that quick, but you've got the ability if they need it.
- 40:28You know, I let's see, I've shot since 2017.
- 40:31I think I can count on one hand
- 40:32how many times I've been asked, hey, can I get these today?
- 40:36Unfortunately, you know, I've had to tell them in the past.
- 40:40Unfortunately, we can't do that.
- 40:42You know, I'm back to back with shoots all day.
- 40:45Our editing team would have to drop everything they're doing.
- 40:47It just everything comes to a grinding halt
- 40:50when you're trying to turn things around the same day.
- 40:53Because of other systems that you have in place to make your business efficient.
- 40:57So maybe it's just a backup
- 41:00that in case somebody does, you know, something does fall through the cracks
- 41:04and your realtor really needs something, you say, hey, I've got you covered.
- 41:08Yeah, I'll take care of this.
- 41:10Yeah, that's a good point.
- 41:11What about an upsell?
- 41:14Oh, yeah.
- 41:14You could charge to the nose for that.
- 41:16So, yeah, we can do that.
- 41:18So $100 add on.
- 41:21Yeah.
- 41:21And they I think most people would understand if.
- 41:25Yeah.
- 41:25If you're dropping everything you're doing to deliver same day.
- 41:31I think most people understand there's a premium for that.
- 41:34So I would agree with you Craig can I take a technical tangent real quick
- 41:38please
- 41:39Please do
- 41:40so just with
- 41:42I don't know, I just made this as a,
- 41:45Justine, can we get some theme songs right now?
- 41:48For my technical tangent?
- 41:51Just.
- 41:52This is terrible.
- 41:53Justine, we should probably delete all that, but leave it in there
- 41:57like the corniness of the two guys from the cornfield.
- 42:00Yeah.
- 42:00- There you go, Craig. - Northwest Ohio.
- 42:03You do intend you puns?
- 42:06We, I know you all out there love really large file sizes.
- 42:11I know you love raw file sizes.
- 42:14Can I just please plead with you to stop shooting so big
- 42:19so I can tell you we've tested this.
- 42:22AI with raw and with Jpeg images.
- 42:27The JPEGs are actually better.
- 42:29Really?
- 42:30Yes. Hmhmm.
- 42:33Yes. Three brackets, five brackets.
- 42:35Just make sure that in your darkest
- 42:37you have all of the information in the windows.
- 42:40So you contain that information when you're if you're bracketing three.
- 42:43But why we bracket five. So we take everything.
- 42:46We shoot Jpeg, we shoot small Jpeg.
- 42:50Fine.
- 42:51Small Jpeg is what we shoot, literally.
- 42:54I'm not kidding you.
- 42:55We shoot 6 or 700,000 images a year
- 42:58at small fine Jpeg.
- 43:01I know you guys love to shoot huge megapixels and Raw,
- 43:05and your raw images are 40, 60, 100MB each.
- 43:08Please don't do that.
- 43:09Especially because if you want to upload in the field, like our
- 43:13our individual small fine JPEGs are 3 or 4MB, right, Craig.
- 43:18Yes, if that in some some of the outside, I mean depending the color variance.
- 43:22But they're small and that's good enough.
- 43:26They're at they're looking at these things on their computer screen.
- 43:29It's not like they're doing blow up prints, you know
- 43:32or their phone.
- 43:33- Yeah yeah - That's even smaller.
- 43:37- It's good enough - that that's just my plea for you all.
- 43:41Please just start shooting Jpeg.
- 43:43Shoot small Jpeg.
- 43:44You know, many of you that are like, hey, I'm full size raw,
- 43:47you're probably twitching right now when you hear me say, shoot small jpeg.
- 43:52But I'm telling you what, it's it's the better way to go.
- 43:55The quality is just as good if not, it's actually better.
- 43:59It is less files that you have to sling around,
- 44:02and it actually means that your
- 44:03turnaround time is going to be quicker because your upload is going to be faster.
- 44:07Right?
- 44:08So. Right.
- 44:08That's my technical tangent. Craig.
- 44:11So we've talked about impact of AI editing on our on our clients.
- 44:16What about on our editors
- 44:18this is this is a tough one.
- 44:20So so Craig we actually so many of you know Creo
- 44:24we I own a portion of that company.
- 44:28We started that company for a Wow and we
- 44:31I love the owners I know the owners.
- 44:35I've gotten to know them very well.
- 44:36One of them lived over in the States for a while and worked over here,
- 44:40helped start a church.
- 44:41And so I really like these individuals that run Creo and
- 44:47and plus I have vested interest in the company
- 44:51and it's like well wait a minute now you're just what are you doing here Todd.
- 44:54Like you're going to send it to the AI.
- 44:56But then what does that do for creo?
- 44:57Like you're kind of just
- 45:00full disclosure, those of you watching
- 45:01this, this is a question I had when Todd started talking about this.
- 45:05I'm like, wait a minute. What's this mean for creo?
- 45:07Yeah, yeah.
- 45:08So I'm interested here.
- 45:11So what it means is, is that it means that we might do a pivot.
- 45:16You know, we're looking at doing a pivot
- 45:19and you have fabulous individuals with your editing company.
- 45:23Like I love Labhen and Shend and all the editors at Creo.
- 45:26And if you're not using Creo this is not a plea to use Creo.
- 45:30This is just the fact that you put your insert your editors name in there.
- 45:34These are vendors that you use.
- 45:36And I think sometimes because there's a language and a cultural barrier
- 45:40and they're not in your neighborhood,
- 45:43that we think we can treat them differently.
- 45:46I know that I'm generalizing here, and I think all of you are fabulous
- 45:49people out there,
- 45:50but I know there is kind of this like, oh, what were they thinking?
- 45:54You know, it's like, wait a minute, Todd.
- 45:56Maybe they didn't really understand because they don't really speak
- 45:59English as a first language or there's a cultural difference.
- 46:02So let's try to connect with them.
- 46:04And these are people that have worked really hard for us.
- 46:07I think about Creo that they started the company.
- 46:10They prioritize us.
- 46:12They give us what we need.
- 46:14They grown with us, they accommodate our needs
- 46:17and we have a relationship with them,
- 46:20as many of you do with your realtors or with your editors.
- 46:24Excuse me.
- 46:25So what I did, and this is just full transparency, what I did is I want
- 46:29I let him know. Lahbden and Shend know, as as I kind of sense this was coming.
- 46:34I was like,
- 46:35hey, I this is what I'm seeing in the industry and this is where
- 46:38I think it's going to go to, and I think it's going to go sooner rather than later.
- 46:43So I didn't know what it meant yet.
- 46:45I hadn't committed to endorsing this, this AI editing,
- 46:50but I just wanted to be transparent that something might be happening.
- 46:55I can't go to sleep knowing that, you know,
- 46:57could I hide it and could I just say, hey, sorry,
- 46:59guys, we've got to shut it down and cut my losses?
- 47:01I could have done that.
- 47:02I just don't feel good doing that. Right.
- 47:05Because these are people that have
- 47:06trusted me and that have given us what we needed, have been good partners.
- 47:13So we looked at
- 47:15who we had there, and we looked at what a good pivot would be and what needs were.
- 47:19in the industry.
- 47:21You're still always going to have the need of a virtual assistant.
- 47:24You're going to have people that need to look at these images.
- 47:26While the AI is great, it's going to make mistakes.
- 47:28It is just like you're, you know, just like your human editors do right now.
- 47:32And there are task
- 47:35every day that you are all are doing it
- 47:37myself as well, that you or I should not be doing.
- 47:41We need to backfill ourselves, train individuals to do some of the low
- 47:46level tasks that we do so that we can be the business owner.
- 47:51So we started having those discussions, Craig, where there's
- 47:53where is there a need at?
- 47:54Well, Creo has this fabulous high school.
- 47:59That one of the creo owners Lhabden.
- 48:02He actually runs.
- 48:03He's a he's the head of this high school.
- 48:05You know we would call this individual probably the superintendent
- 48:08in the states here.
- 48:09So it is kind of an equivalent job description.
- 48:12And they have these vibrant youth coming through the school.
- 48:17And it's a beautiful building by the way.
- 48:19They built this beautiful building.
- 48:22And we looked at how we could use not only some of our current editors
- 48:26at Creo, but how could we use some of these
- 48:31great, vibrant youth and these individuals
- 48:33coming through that speak really, really good English?
- 48:37Y'all like good English.
- 48:39Like not super accented English, good English.
- 48:42They understand the American culture.
- 48:44Kosovo just as a nation. They really like America.
- 48:47America has done a lot to help them.
- 48:48They're they're a fairly new country.
- 48:51So it's a great relationship.
- 48:53So we looked at how could we begin to utilize
- 48:57some of those individuals and, and the people coming through the school
- 49:02to serve more real estate photographers
- 49:06as virtual assistants?
- 49:09We have two individuals on our team at Wow
- 49:12Besa and Tina, they live in Kosovo.
- 49:14They've gone through the school.
- 49:15They are incredible to our team.
- 49:17They talk to our clients.
- 49:20Our clients love them.
- 49:22Our team loves them.
- 49:24They are a big part of our team.
- 49:26And so that's is where we took that discussion.
- 49:30So, what I'm kind of pitching to you is that if you have a vendor
- 49:33that you're really like, you have some needs
- 49:36that they might be able to fulfill.
- 49:39And through some of those discussions, you might be able to get to a win win
- 49:43for everyone,
- 49:45where you can take a pivot here and you're actually going to be further ahead.
- 49:48In the end, you're gonna allow them to pivot in their business.
- 49:51You're going to get rid of some of these low level tasks.
- 49:54You've been doing.
- 49:55And everybody everybody has growth in the end. So.
- 49:59So what's the
- 50:00impact then on you as the owner.
- 50:03What you know, we've talked about the impact on clients.
- 50:05We've talked about the impact on our editors.
- 50:08What's what's the kind of final summary then
- 50:11is the impact on use the owner in in AI photo editing.
- 50:16Yeah. So, so
- 50:19us all as real estate photography business owners, is that correct?
- 50:22Craig.
- 50:23Yes. Yep. Okay.
- 50:24So the impact for all of us, all of you out there listening
- 50:28as a real estate photography business owner,
- 50:32I think somewhat you have to embrace technology,
- 50:36but you have to be careful and you have to be
- 50:38cognizant of people that have helped you get to where you're at.
- 50:42Right?
- 50:42And it all starts with transparency.
- 50:46It starts with just saying it.
- 50:48And you and you don't always have to know the answer.
- 50:51I didn't really know the answer.
- 50:52When I talk with Lhabden I just said, hey, this is why things come
- 50:55in, we might need to I don't know what the solution is,
- 50:57but I want you guys to know because I want you to be okay.
- 51:03And as we talked,
- 51:06we came up with pivots.
- 51:08And actually this is something that they're even more excited about.
- 51:12Creo was even more excited about bringing these youth through training
- 51:15the current editors to be virtual assistants, to be that admin on your team.
- 51:20So it's just so fabulous when you can take something.
- 51:24And this wasn't a me thing.
- 51:25This was just the way it worked out that you can take something bad
- 51:28and you find this win win
- 51:29where the other person goes, oh, I would much rather do this.
- 51:33Hey, that's like what happened?
- 51:35That's so great.
- 51:36So I think you have to be transparent.
- 51:38You have to plan for it.
- 51:41From an owner's perspective.
- 51:42Also think of what your features and benefits are of AI.
- 51:46Are you going to announce this?
- 51:47I, I don't know this is interesting.
- 51:49Craig, let me ask you this question.
- 51:51If we announced to our Realtors
- 51:54that we now have this fabulous AI
- 51:57editing where you're going to get your photos quicker,
- 52:01maybe we can, maybe we can't because we still want to look at them.
- 52:04It's going to be better quality.
- 52:06I mean, we're not going to tell them that it's cheaper for us, right?
- 52:08And that's yeah, that's what I was thinking.
- 52:10I don't want undercut, undercut ourselves.
- 52:14Yeah.
- 52:15But what's, what's what are our realtors going to think when we say use AI?
- 52:20I don't know that. Do we.
- 52:21Do we need to tell the client that we're using AI?
- 52:25I'm just being honest in my in my question of that,
- 52:28ultimately, I don't know that the client would actually care
- 52:31as long as the quality is there and they see that
- 52:35we're implementing measures to continue to serve them well,
- 52:40give them excellent quality media
- 52:43that benefits their business.
- 52:45Does the realtor need or need to know or care to know
- 52:49that what our process is?
- 52:52I don't I don't talk about that.
- 52:54We have overseas editors too.
- 52:56That might just talk about our editing team.
- 52:59Yeah I, I agree with you Craig.
- 53:02I don't think that that's kind of in the weeds for them.
- 53:04I think that's, that's a great reminder that like we have technical brains
- 53:08but they don't.
- 53:09And that's just giving them too much.
- 53:11And and they don't know what to do with that information.
- 53:13They're like what does this even mean.
- 53:14Like I just want my photos back.
- 53:16Yeah.
- 53:16So I can upload them to the MLS. Right.
- 53:19So I think you're right on that, Craig.
- 53:20I think you can just talk about the features, the benefits.
- 53:22And, and I know we at Wow
- 53:24we're going to look at the images as well we're going to quality check them.
- 53:27We always quality check.
- 53:30So I mean they still are somewhat
- 53:32vetted by the team and we have our eye and our quality on them.
- 53:35So I agree with you, Craig. I think that's smart.
- 53:38So you know, technology is going to continue to, to doubles.
- 53:43And, you know, just what's the word I'm looking for exponentially increase.
- 53:48So what's the there's a stat out there about how fast technology is developing.
- 53:54It's like every
- 53:56I don't know every 18 months like
- 53:58processing speeds double or something like that.
- 54:01Somebody knows. Yeah.
- 54:03That's not going to slow down.
- 54:05No it's not.
- 54:06And it's probably even going to go just even faster
- 54:10because now technology is kind of creating its own technology.
- 54:15That's kind of weird. Like, what do you do?
- 54:17Skynet. Yeah, I.
- 54:22As I'm going to be
- 54:23completely honest, Todd is a almost 49 year old.
- 54:26I'm starting to feel my age a little bit because I'm looking at AI.
- 54:31And yes, I'm seeing all the things that does.
- 54:32And I'm going to I'm going to admit I've been very hesitant with it.
- 54:37Like, I still really, you know, I've got an iPhone 15 and
- 54:40and now we've got this, Apple.
- 54:44Oh yeah. Apple intelligence.
- 54:46Yeah. I'm not really using it.
- 54:48It's like, I don't want to use AI to write my emails or
- 54:52because I feel like I'm losing control a little bit.
- 54:55And my whole thing is developing relationships with people.
- 54:58I want it to be my voice, not AI voice.
- 55:02And maybe AI can duplicate my voice.
- 55:04I don't know,
- 55:05I feel like the old guy in the room like, oh, I'm not good at doing all that stuff.
- 55:10Back in my day, we used to have to actually talk on the radio right?
- 55:17Craig, you
- 55:18know what the fine thing is, is I'm not even real right now.
- 55:21You've been talking to AI this whole time.
- 55:23This is just an AI generated Todd. I'm done.
- 55:26I'm just.
- 55:27I'm done with AI, so I don't know.
- 55:29I'm just kidding. You guys all. No, I'm kidding, but no, this is true.
- 55:32This is the real me, right?
- 55:34would AI have humor?
- 55:36As corny as it's. It's.
- 55:39Hopefully it can improve my humor and my my and my,
- 55:44suggestions I give you also, I don't know, maybe just generate an AI.
- 55:48Todd, you'll be better off.
- 55:49You know.
- 55:51Well, all that being said,
- 55:53as a business owner and leader, yeah.
- 55:58Work to make technology work for you in in those that you're working with.
- 56:03Keep relationships
- 56:05central to what you're doing
- 56:08and that that whole idea of transparency in the discussion
- 56:12of how technology impacts your business and your business relationships.
- 56:15I think we'll,
- 56:18we got to remember we're human beings, right?
- 56:20And treat each other as humans, treat each other with respect.
- 56:23And just be honest with people as you're making business decisions,
- 56:28that will help your business and serve your clients well.
- 56:31Also agreed.
- 56:33I don't know what else to really say.
- 56:35Yeah, I think that's it.
- 56:36I think that's a resounding message.
- 56:38And the message that will always hold true, in any situation you're in.
- 56:43Yeah. Yep.
- 56:44So just a reminder, click the if you want to try it out, try out the AI.
- 56:49By no means are you obligated to try it, but we think we're using it.
- 56:53We think it's a great upgrade.
- 56:56And, click.
- 56:56Either the banners will have banners
- 56:58and Spiro for you or go to your settings integrations, external editors.
