- 1:25Speaker 1: Did you even on? Did you honestly care about your
- 1:28Speaker 1: Vault Master twenty three deck? Where you like? I shall
- 1:31Speaker 1: cherish this.

- 1:37Speaker 3: I got four twenty five.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Yeah, twenty three means made it to that, you table
- 1:44Speaker 2: fucking nobe.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You couldn't even get a vault Master twenty three, the
- 1:50Speaker 1: coveted vault Master twenty three decks coveted, that's what we're told.
- 1:57Speaker 1: There's only like so many any of those in existence.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And this is what sparked Jam to get a stick
- 2:05Speaker 1: in his ass. That was the thing. Yeah, I think
- 2:09Speaker 1: it was twenty three, right, There was no twenty two right? No, right, okay,
- 2:14Speaker 1: twenty yeah. Well, I mean that's the that's that. This
- 2:18Speaker 1: is the what do you call it, the the epicenter moment.
- 2:23Speaker 1: I am choosing for JM to get the stick in
- 2:26Speaker 1: his ass. I think it's a fair choosing. No, But
- 2:34Speaker 1: what's going on, everybody? I'm the one the only that

- 2:55Speaker 3: A work done.
- 2:58Speaker 1: We did work. You did, you did do work. That's
- 3:01Speaker 1: the thing that existed.
- 3:04Speaker 4: We scored stuff, we told some good jokes. We we
- 3:07Speaker 4: uh made fun of the Wookie. It was it was
- 3:10Speaker 4: all around success.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Two of those two of those four things were true.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I realized why you hate using our audio because
- 3:19Speaker 4: I'm like just there, like hang it out. I'm like,
- 3:22Speaker 4: what the hell is that clicking?
- 3:24Speaker 1: What is that noise?
- 3:25Speaker 3: Why?
- 3:25Speaker 1: What's that in the background, Like.
- 3:28Speaker 4: He's like clicking something together?
- 3:30Speaker 1: What it's not Sheep, it's Ewokwok beats the ship out
- 3:34Speaker 1: of his keyboard on a weekly basiss. He it was not.
- 3:39Speaker 2: It was not Ewok. It was it was Sheep who
- 3:42Speaker 2: was literally cutting things.
- 3:43Speaker 3: We had you it was being bored. This is accurate.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Yeah, he was. He was chopping. Would we've seen this before?
- 3:51Speaker 2: We're I think he's been whittling at times. You were
- 3:54Speaker 2: going ahead and you had wrappers one day.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I was opening I was opening altered packs
- 3:59Speaker 1: one day. Why not?
- 4:01Speaker 2: A right?
- 4:01Speaker 1: It was a good time. But I'm back. We're all
- 4:06Speaker 1: back to our future glory. My ACL is only thirty
- 4:10Speaker 1: three percent torn, so we're good. Everything's fine. It's only
- 4:14Speaker 1: thirty three percent. I think it was like twenty some
- 4:17Speaker 1: odd percent. But whatever. It's neither height nor hair. The
- 4:20Speaker 1: Lookie's back, baby, and here we go. It's time.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Did you tear tear your a cl.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Ace at at q forde celebration KFC? Yes, Wait at
- 4:34Speaker 1: what moment? So don't you?
- 4:36Speaker 2: I think this is when he This is when he
- 4:38Speaker 2: don't you.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Remember I hurt my knee when I fell into the
- 4:40Speaker 1: pit at whirl Ball and I was limping. I heard
- 4:44Speaker 1: the rest of the weekend.
- 4:47Speaker 4: I wasn't there for that part though, because that was
- 4:50Speaker 4: before you took off your shirt.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Right, Oh no, yeah, it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Was before yes, Eric, wait, wait time out, Yes, yes,
- 4:57Speaker 2: Eric Waters Sheep did body slam Wookie and that is
- 5:01Speaker 2: how you know.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's the tale we can tell. I'm fine with it.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Well, I'm just like shep went extra superhuman, just like
- 5:11Speaker 2: haulked up so superhuman.
- 5:13Speaker 1: He wasn't even there. But yeah, it's only like twenty
- 5:20Speaker 1: seven percent torn and it's fine. It's fine here Now.
- 5:24Speaker 2: I think if she talk to that girl who told
- 5:27Speaker 2: you to go get the ball?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Oh what was her name? I forgot? She told me
- 5:30Speaker 1: your name.
- 5:31Speaker 2: You were all over it all weekend, like, oh I
- 5:34Speaker 2: did not nobody?
- 5:35Speaker 1: Well no, because she had it out for me. Because
- 5:37Speaker 1: now she's like, I gotta stand in your chair, and
- 5:39Speaker 1: I'm like, you told me to get the ball. And yes,
- 5:42Speaker 1: there was one time where my competitive spirit didn't compel
- 5:45Speaker 1: me one time, sheep, you weren't there the whole time.
- 5:48Speaker 1: There was one time or yes, what didn't even hear
- 5:54Speaker 1: what he said? There was one time, or yes, I
- 5:56Speaker 1: stood up because I was like, oh shit, I'm supposed
- 5:58Speaker 1: to be sick, right, my competitive nature took over and
- 6:02Speaker 1: I stood up. The other times she asked me to
- 6:04Speaker 1: get the ball. But it's whatever. It doesn't matter right,
- 6:08Speaker 1: it's it's it's in the past. Fun story for uh.
- 6:13Speaker 1: For our head coach meeting for my company, I think
- 6:19Speaker 1: we're going to worlie Ball. Wait, it's probably it's in Minnesota,
- 6:26Speaker 1: and so it's probably gonna be the same worley Ball facility.
- 6:30Speaker 4: That would be hilarious. They like see you, like, oh,
- 6:34Speaker 4: you can't come any my pictures on the wall.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Although I might not recognize you with your shirt on,
- 6:44Speaker 1: I was gonna say no shirt, no, nothing. So now
- 6:46Speaker 1: they're like, we're gonna need you to take your shirt
- 6:47Speaker 1: off just to verify. But how was your guys' Thanksgiving?
- 6:53Speaker 1: We had a we had a whole whole holiday in between.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Last time we talked.
- 6:59Speaker 2: We are after FC we have Thanksgiving and soon Christmas
- 7:03Speaker 2: will be here. It was it was good for me,
- 7:04Speaker 2: How was it for you? Boys?
- 7:06Speaker 1: Fan Delicious? Nobody bothered me? I uh I drank a
- 7:15Speaker 1: lot what dress Court drinking. It's almost like this is
- 7:20Speaker 1: not really a show about key Forge. It's about booze,
- 7:24Speaker 1: yeah and KeyForge. So maybe we should turn this into
- 7:28Speaker 1: arkans arcans uh arcans alcohol. For sure. You're trying to
- 7:36Speaker 1: figure out how better better? You know?
- 7:41Speaker 4: I uh so, I was like, hey, the last I
- 7:45Speaker 4: guess the last few times we've had folks over who
- 7:51Speaker 4: I hadn't like super super planned in advance, Like it
- 7:55Speaker 4: was like one of these like night before, let me,
- 7:58Speaker 4: you know, pick out a couple of recipe is based
- 8:00Speaker 4: on what I already have, so meaning I wasn't going
- 8:03Speaker 4: out and picking up additional things or preparing things. So
- 8:06Speaker 4: at this time I was like, I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 8:09Speaker 4: get crazy. I'm gonna go out and prepare a bunch
- 8:12Speaker 4: of stuff. So so I made this big list of
- 8:14Speaker 4: like various things I could compare based on what I
- 8:16Speaker 4: could get my hands on in still a relatively short
- 8:20Speaker 4: period of time. Because it was, you know, instead of
- 8:22Speaker 4: the night before, it was two nights before. But so
- 8:27Speaker 4: I did, I did a few things.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I did.
- 8:30Speaker 4: I actually ended up doing three different types of fat
- 8:39Speaker 4: washed bourbons. So I did three different bourbons, one with
- 8:44Speaker 4: a coconut oil washed, another with chili oil. Uh, and
- 8:53Speaker 4: then one with bourbon. Me sessme oil? Oh yeah, and
- 9:00Speaker 4: and uh so.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So tell me more. What's what's the difference between I'd
- 9:05Speaker 2: assume one is gonna have heat, one's gonna.
- 9:08Speaker 4: Oh yeah, almost really read basing yeap?
- 9:10Speaker 2: What am I looking for on the coconut?
- 9:13Speaker 1: So sweet? No? No?
- 9:16Speaker 4: So like you, it's there's no sweetness right because you
- 9:19Speaker 4: are basically what you do is you take bourbon, right,
- 9:25Speaker 4: and you take to cocon oil, like unrefined coconut oil,
- 9:30Speaker 4: which is basically like.
- 9:31Speaker 1: A gelatinous gelatinous.
- 9:34Speaker 4: It's more it's almost like think it's just the sea
- 9:35Speaker 4: of like butter almost right, yeah, and so very viscous.
- 9:39Speaker 4: You put yeah, you put that in the jar and
- 9:42Speaker 4: you put and you put the bourbon on top of
- 9:47Speaker 4: that and you sort of shake it up, so break
- 9:49Speaker 4: up the it's like a mixer kind of and then
- 9:55Speaker 4: you that's a great cocktail man. And then you leave that,
- 9:59Speaker 4: leave that sitting like a room temperature for good six hours.
- 10:05Speaker 4: And then you don't actually want to drink all that fat, right,
- 10:08Speaker 4: Like that's not that's not going to make the cocktail
- 10:11Speaker 4: turn out well, Right, you just want to impart that flavor.
- 10:14Speaker 4: So you take that container, right, you put that in
- 10:16Speaker 4: the freezer so it solidifies the oil so that you
- 10:24Speaker 4: can then strain out the fats and strain all the solids.
- 10:29Speaker 4: So you run that through fine mess strainer and you
- 10:32Speaker 4: run that through a coffee filter and then you've got
- 10:36Speaker 4: you get the flavor without getting the oil. And so
- 10:43Speaker 4: this you have to obviously prepare quite a bit in advance.
- 10:47Speaker 4: So I was like I'm going to do. I was like,
- 10:51Speaker 4: I'm gonna do one of these three based on like
- 10:53Speaker 4: whatever oil I can get, just the the store right,
- 10:57Speaker 4: the y acme near me, the grocery store they had,
- 10:59Speaker 4: all three are out the hell, I'll just do it, right,
- 11:03Speaker 4: So I was a little crazy. So three different types
- 11:04Speaker 4: of bourbon. And then I also did a a an
- 11:12Speaker 4: oolong tea infused rum that I then milk washed, so
- 11:17Speaker 4: that even though the same word, it looks a little different. Right,
- 11:19Speaker 4: So like you infuse the tea in the rum, right,
- 11:23Speaker 4: and then that's going to get all the tea flavor,
- 11:26Speaker 4: but it's also can get a lot of bitterness from
- 11:29Speaker 4: a long and fusion from tea. Right, So you yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 4: all those tannins, right, So you put the you put
- 11:36Speaker 4: milk in it after you fuse it for you know,
- 11:40Speaker 4: quite a few hours, and give that a little star
- 11:45Speaker 4: and then you make a uh like a citric acid solution.
- 11:49Speaker 4: So you get a little water and a little citric acid.
- 11:51Speaker 4: But you know that already headline around and uh and
- 11:54Speaker 4: then and then you like you're stirring it and you
- 11:58Speaker 4: you basically you slowly drip in the the citruc acid
- 12:03Speaker 4: and it curdles the milk, which sounds gross, but what
- 12:07Speaker 4: it does is it gobbles up and grabs all those tannins, right.
- 12:11Speaker 4: And then when you strain it, so you put gotten
- 12:13Speaker 4: through fire a strainer and through a coffee filter. This
- 12:16Speaker 4: one particularly important for the coffee filter or some other
- 12:20Speaker 4: serious filtration system. And then so then you've got your
- 12:27Speaker 4: uh like tea flavored liquor, but it doesn't have all
- 12:33Speaker 4: the bitterness from it. So so I did those things.
- 12:39Speaker 4: I made a whole bunch of different cocktails With those,
- 12:42Speaker 4: I made a mango syrup. So I went, I went.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I did all the things.
- 12:48Speaker 4: This sounds like a lot of word to get drunk.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I was just gonna, is anyone else papp gum syrup?
- 12:55Speaker 1: Also, so what's that?
- 12:59Speaker 2: Is anyone else getting thirsty? Because that's more what was
- 13:02Speaker 2: happening for me? I'm just I'm thirsty right now.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Hell yeah it was uh so, Yeah it was pretty
- 13:10Speaker 4: it's pretty fun, pretty good. I had to stay hydrated though,
- 13:13Speaker 4: because you know, it couldn't be couldn't be hung over
- 13:15Speaker 4: the next day I had the good new family stuff.
- 13:17Speaker 4: So stay hydrated, kids, I mean adults, I mean you.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Should be hydrated too, but for different reasons.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yes, how many people were at your establishment?
- 13:31Speaker 1: There was eleven?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Okay, so it sounds wonderful. I'm sad I missed it.
- 13:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you didn't have any turkey because apparently your anti turkey.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving?
- 13:48Speaker 4: Yeah, there's good turkey. You can make good times. Hold on,
- 13:52Speaker 4: you hate turkey too.
- 13:55Speaker 3: You could put a lot of gravy on it and
- 13:57Speaker 3: then it's you know.
- 13:58Speaker 1: It's no longer a turkey, it's just gravy soup with turkey.
- 14:03Speaker 1: I also hate gravy or turkey. I love gravy, but
- 14:07Speaker 1: I hate turkey. Turkey is the worst of all the birds,
- 14:12Speaker 1: but go ahead.
- 14:14Speaker 3: I don't know if that's true, But noose is pretty bad,
- 14:17Speaker 3: but I've never had it.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Oh, goose, I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. If
- 14:23Speaker 1: I've had good, I've had duck chicken. Goose is just
- 14:28Speaker 1: big duck. So if you don't like duck, you're not
- 14:31Speaker 1: gonna like goose because goose is basically the same thing
- 14:34Speaker 1: as duck. You gotta prepare all these things correctly, right, sure,
- 14:40Speaker 1: But still turkey is the worst bird of all of Like,
- 14:43Speaker 1: there is no worst tasting bird than turkey. I mean,
- 14:47Speaker 1: you can still make it good, it's always, but that
- 14:54Speaker 1: was pretty good, that's the option. The one way I
- 14:57Speaker 1: have not had turkey at is deep fried, but no matter.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Maybe non deep fried turkey is moist, but every other
- 15:05Speaker 1: turkey is just dry as the son of a bitch.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Well that that's more of a cooking technique. I would
- 15:11Speaker 2: argue that if you spash cocke it and go ahead,
- 15:14Speaker 2: and you have a much quicker cook time, put some
- 15:18Speaker 2: spices on it, and ninety minutes you can go hiding
- 15:21Speaker 2: roll with it. I also think that cooking is fine, but.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Or I can make a ham and love every minute.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I do like ham, Sheep.
- 15:32Speaker 2: I know this is going to shock everyone, but Sheep
- 15:35Speaker 2: also does not like ham. So this is this is
- 15:38Speaker 2: grumpo over here.
- 15:39Speaker 1: But I can't I can't fix him. I don't know
- 15:41Speaker 1: what how to fix sheep like he doesn't like I
- 15:46Speaker 1: understand turkey, but not understanding not liking ham.
- 15:49Speaker 3: I don't. I don't like the sweet ham.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Oh what do you mean sweet ham?
- 15:55Speaker 3: I don't like the honey.
- 15:58Speaker 4: Spiral situation.
- 15:59Speaker 1: You don't like the people that put a fucking whole
- 16:01Speaker 1: package of brown sugar on your ham. Yeah, I don't
- 16:03Speaker 1: like that. I will agree with you on that. I
- 16:06Speaker 1: that either.
- 16:07Speaker 2: That just sounds like we're on our way there.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Now like many a form of ham.
- 16:12Speaker 3: Now, like that Canadian bacon, which is just ham. That
- 16:15Speaker 3: may be the worst.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Well, Canadian bacon is a little weird, like, yeah, it's
- 16:22Speaker 4: very processed.
- 16:23Speaker 2: It's yeah, now we've made Canadians.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I'll just finish.
- 16:29Speaker 2: I'll just finish this off by saying that we could
- 16:33Speaker 2: have had the turkey as our national bird for the
- 16:36Speaker 2: United States of America, but it is not it did
- 16:39Speaker 2: not go ahead and take that. It was close. Actually
- 16:42Speaker 2: it was actually very close.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Were you there? Were you part of.
- 16:47Speaker 2: No, there's there's there's quite a bit of background knowledge
- 16:50Speaker 2: with and stories that are kind of shared for Benjamin
- 16:52Speaker 2: Franklin pushing for the turkey to actually be our national
- 16:56Speaker 2: bird instead of the eagle. You guys have never heard
- 16:59Speaker 2: this before?
- 17:00Speaker 1: No, I think I have.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Okay, there's people in the in the gallery over here
- 17:05Speaker 2: that are raising their hands that they've also heard it.
- 17:07Speaker 2: So I appreciate that that's your that's your tidbit for today.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. I don't know. Yeah, the people who
- 17:14Speaker 1: put far too much sugar on their ham, I can't
- 17:16Speaker 1: eat that ham, but regular old ham I can eat
- 17:19Speaker 1: that for days. Also, there's something wrong with sheep, but
- 17:23Speaker 1: that's moving into the next time. I'm glad. I don't
- 17:26Speaker 1: know what sheep. I don't know what he eats, Like,
- 17:28Speaker 1: what does sheep eat?
- 17:29Speaker 3: Well?
- 17:29Speaker 1: You know what you could have sheep? You should.
- 17:32Speaker 4: You should come to Necho out here in Pennsylvania, and
- 17:34Speaker 4: you should try this crazy, crazy thing called scrabble.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I had the scrapple last time. I's out there.
- 17:41Speaker 4: There you go, there, you go, you come out some more.
- 17:44Speaker 2: All right, And since we're talking about Necho, when is
- 17:48Speaker 2: Necho there? Good draz core Ye, Necho.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Is right at the end of January beginning of February,
- 17:55Speaker 4: so it is January thirty first through February first, and uh,
- 18:02Speaker 4: it's gonna be. It's gonna be a good ass time.
- 18:05Speaker 4: So you should all come. And there's already stuff that,
- 18:11Speaker 4: of course Sydney is ordering that's showing up at my house.
- 18:17Speaker 1: For those events. So you if you want to see
- 18:20Speaker 1: the person she suckered into doing it.
- 18:22Speaker 4: Got yeah, yeah, So if you want to see the
- 18:23Speaker 4: sort of outrageous thing Sydney is ordering and.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Shipping to me, you should come to Neco. It's gonna be.
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's gonna be a good time. Is if I come
- 18:33Speaker 1: to Necho, will I be staying in the Jazz Corps
- 18:35Speaker 1: establishment you? Yes, sir?
- 18:39Speaker 2: Okay, next question, you have you have a closet that
- 18:44Speaker 2: has very good soundproofing and you are far away.
- 18:48Speaker 4: From I mean, so I have like a utility room
- 18:51Speaker 4: in the basement that perfect.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll be there.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Got like the some pump that's fine, okay, got like
- 18:58Speaker 4: a really high rate on level.
- 19:00Speaker 1: You lo long and it's warm and it's you know,
- 19:03Speaker 1: or and or you give me, you give me, you
- 19:06Speaker 1: give me a blanket.
- 19:08Speaker 2: If you put him on it, if you put him
- 19:10Speaker 2: on the floor, he actually snored less, so that is something.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah, floors.
- 19:16Speaker 4: I got some carpet, I got some bile, got some wood.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Your basement was very sweet. We were down there actually
- 19:24Speaker 2: when we came out for the Philly Vultur. Yes, so
- 19:28Speaker 2: you get a nice gaming room and other additional space
- 19:31Speaker 2: for sleeping rangements.
- 19:33Speaker 1: Because I've been searching out train rides, well, I've been.
- 19:40Speaker 1: I've been looking at trains versus planes. I don't know.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I got this weird. So if you've never been on
- 19:49Speaker 1: a train before, like one of these, and I'm kind
- 19:52Speaker 1: of interested.
- 19:54Speaker 4: So from from Milwaukee next year pretty long?
- 20:00Speaker 1: I know, no it yeah, no, it's it is like
- 20:03Speaker 1: twenty three hours. Yes, yeah, I switch a few times.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I don't. I don't think it's a direct milwak. There's
- 20:08Speaker 1: not a direct one. No it is. There is two
- 20:10Speaker 1: switches in between.
- 20:11Speaker 3: I heard it's like riding the bus.
- 20:15Speaker 4: I don't get. No, No, I've done so. I've done
- 20:17Speaker 4: the Excella, which is like New York to d C
- 20:21Speaker 4: or Boston to DC I guess it's the whole route
- 20:23Speaker 4: and that was pretty nice. But I don't I hear
- 20:28Speaker 4: people talk about the Excella like it's nice as in
- 20:31Speaker 4: other ones aren't as nice.
- 20:33Speaker 2: So I don't know this.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Is this is Amtrak's I don't. Yeah, the Excella is Amtrak.
- 20:39Speaker 1: It's just like a it's like a specific route that.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Similar to our hiawatha.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Oh okay, got it, got it? It makes sense.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:48Speaker 1: I just I'm kind of like just interested in this
- 20:51Speaker 1: train thing now that we were talking about trains, and
- 20:53Speaker 1: I'm like, I wonder if it's cheaper to go on
- 20:56Speaker 1: train or by flight, because believe you me, if I
- 21:00Speaker 1: have an assistant, flights cheaper, yeah. They So I don't know.
- 21:06Speaker 4: I think it was like I have looked it up
- 21:08Speaker 4: before and it was ninety three dollars. I just sort
- 21:11Speaker 4: of like flights, it's it's very all over the place, right,
- 21:16Speaker 4: Like you'll like it's like, oh, if I leave at
- 21:18Speaker 4: six am, it's actually very cheap. But you know, like
- 21:22Speaker 4: one of those things or somebody is very expensive, right.
- 21:24Speaker 1: I found one that was like ninety three dollars there
- 21:27Speaker 1: and it was like one oh two back. Yeah.
- 21:31Speaker 4: See that's that's not bad at all, but it's gonna
- 21:33Speaker 4: take you a long time.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Yes, I would have to leave. I think it was like, yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: I mean, why not, I'm.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Gonna disprepare for five days people.
- 21:42Speaker 1: But like, but like, if me and ship go together,
- 21:47Speaker 1: we can keep forwards all the way there. There you go,
- 21:50Speaker 1: Yeah you can, key, can't you? Now bring your hip flasks.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Let me let me relate back to earlier. Sheep does
- 21:59Speaker 2: not like things. He's good, we'll play.
- 22:03Speaker 3: We'll play games. It's just.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Oh that's that's fine too. I I fully enjoy other games.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I just in fact, you know, it was the one thing. Okay,
- 22:13Speaker 1: now I need to know because I guess maybe this
- 22:16Speaker 1: is a thing dress care. You spend some times in
- 22:18Speaker 1: the bars, right m hmm. Have you have you ever
- 22:21Speaker 1: heard of bar dice? I heard of what those kind
- 22:27Speaker 1: of bars bar dice?
- 22:29Speaker 4: Yeah, like like the dice that you roll that's like
- 22:34Speaker 4: you know, uh take you know, take a shot and
- 22:38Speaker 4: like stick your finger up your butt like those dice.
- 22:42Speaker 3: Wisconsin the roll.
- 22:46Speaker 1: But now I'm interested in what.
- 22:50Speaker 4: There's like kinky dice where it's like dice like take
- 22:54Speaker 4: a drink, the others like kiss.
- 22:55Speaker 1: A girl right now it's but like it's a game.
- 22:58Speaker 1: I took the next step. I want to say it's
- 23:00Speaker 1: like Yatzi ish and it's really nothing like Yatzi. But
- 23:05Speaker 1: you know, you roll and ones are wild and you know,
- 23:09Speaker 1: all right, well now I'm teaching all bard ice next
- 23:11Speaker 1: time I see y'all, ship captain, ship captain crew. Yeah,
- 23:17Speaker 1: but now I'm.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Like both thought that you can give them a part
- 23:21Speaker 3: under a dollar and then you roll some.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Dice, right okay, yeah? Or you know, you can play
- 23:29Speaker 1: games with your friends and loser gets to choose the shots,
- 23:32Speaker 1: or winner gets to choose the shots and loser has
- 23:34Speaker 1: to You can do it, but.
- 23:37Speaker 3: We only have two choices. When do we get together.
- 23:39Speaker 3: You're either during the millort or the whatever else is
- 23:44Speaker 3: on the table.
- 23:45Speaker 1: Well, there's lots usually lots of whatever else on the table,
- 23:48Speaker 1: so there were options. I don't know what concoctions you
- 23:51Speaker 1: made a KFC this year, but one almost made me puke.
- 23:56Speaker 1: You were just mixing liquors together. You weren't even paying
- 23:59Speaker 1: attention of what they were. I'm I'm almost I did too.
- 24:03Speaker 1: There was put into all of those drinks. Okay, well
- 24:07Speaker 1: at all.
- 24:08Speaker 3: Drinks are just liquors, mixed together.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Just fine, all right, fair enough, it was it was
- 24:14Speaker 1: a terrible time. But what what are we going to
- 24:16Speaker 1: be doing at Necho? What's what's what's what's the draw?
- 24:23Speaker 4: Yeah, so the official things have not been announced, but
- 24:30Speaker 4: but I can give you a sense that because it's
- 24:32Speaker 4: gonna be somewhat similar last year, So there will be
- 24:37Speaker 4: true sealed, right, I think I think they're still doing that.
- 24:41Speaker 4: So it's going to be you know, get three decks,
- 24:44Speaker 4: pick open, open them and pick one and play it.
- 24:48Speaker 4: The set has not yet been announced.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Visions the.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Yeah, that's sold out, so I don't even think. I
- 24:59Speaker 4: don't even know that that's an option, right, because they
- 25:04Speaker 4: so there's a few potentials and they're working through just
- 25:10Speaker 4: what exactly that is. So that should be announced very
- 25:13Speaker 4: shortly and then there'll be a whole bunch of.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Like side event stuff.
- 25:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:20Speaker 4: So last year Fabulous Thing did a kind of like
- 25:27Speaker 4: a Bingo grid where you got a Bingo card and
- 25:30Speaker 4: like each square was like something like it was either
- 25:34Speaker 4: a format or like play with a house or against
- 25:37Speaker 4: the house, or like do some sort of a achievement
- 25:40Speaker 4: in a certain game or something, and it was all
- 25:43Speaker 4: sorts of different cool fun stuff, so that was really popular.
- 25:46Speaker 4: So I'm imagining, because I know Fabulation is doing something
- 25:50Speaker 4: again this year, so I'm imagining it'll be that or
- 25:53Speaker 4: a variation on that of some sort, and then you know,
- 26:00Speaker 4: from there, you know, of course we'll we'll get some
- 26:05Speaker 4: foods on and get some drinks on. Like last year,
- 26:11Speaker 4: a bunch of us went up to the famous Shady Maple, which,
- 26:17Speaker 4: if you don't know, Shady Maple is the the Shady Maple. Schmorgesborg,
- 26:22Speaker 4: by the way, is the full Oh I've heard of
- 26:25Speaker 4: this place. Yeah, oh yeah, it's like super famous Amish
- 26:30Speaker 4: like ginormous buffet. Uh and it is massive and uh
- 26:38Speaker 4: it is very good.
- 26:39Speaker 1: It is.
- 26:41Speaker 4: It's it's a lot, you know, it's a buffet. It's
- 26:43Speaker 4: a lot. But it's like, yeah, it's like it's an experience.
- 26:51Speaker 4: It's definitely a local experience. And you can try some scrapple.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Yeah there you got on the scrap Yeah. Well, you
- 27:02Speaker 4: know it'll be It is west of Philly, right, so
- 27:05Speaker 4: you'll have to drive out of Philly right or take
- 27:09Speaker 4: the train. You can take the train directly at Lancaster,
- 27:11Speaker 4: which is closer. Drive through Homage Country right gets stuck
- 27:14Speaker 4: behind a horse and buggy.
- 27:15Speaker 1: You know. So whatever you do, don't go with X Ray.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:22Speaker 4: X Ray will definitely do something out right that you
- 27:24Speaker 4: should in.
- 27:25Speaker 1: The wrong part of the neighborhood.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Uh huh uh huh oh yeah, go to like the
- 27:31Speaker 4: Amish Paradise part of the neighborhood.
- 27:33Speaker 1: If you know, what were you doing in West Philly?
- 27:35Speaker 1: What do you mean Philly?
- 27:38Speaker 4: Like the time that dude got tasted in photo X right, Like,
- 27:43Speaker 4: what are you doing there?
- 27:44Speaker 1: Dude?
- 27:45Speaker 4: Uh so, yeah, no, but you will be We'll be
- 27:48Speaker 4: in great areas, nowhere near rough areas. So but but yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 4: let me know if you're let us know. But let
- 27:54Speaker 4: me know in particular, if you're going to come in
- 27:56Speaker 4: and uh you guys come in Friday. I am a
- 28:00Speaker 4: Friday and we can hang out or something.
- 28:02Speaker 1: I am eyeballing leaving Thursday because if I leave Thursday,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I'll get there by like Friday, like afternoon ish, like
- 28:13Speaker 1: one or two or something like that. I forgot I'd
- 28:16Speaker 1: have to relook at it again because I was just like, huh,
- 28:19Speaker 1: I wonder.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Yeah, and before you book it, like there's there's a
- 28:23Speaker 4: bunch of different like stations. Probably can I can connect
- 28:26Speaker 4: to you, the one that's closest to me, that's gonna
- 28:28Speaker 4: be most convenient to grab you. I will, Yeah, I
- 28:36Speaker 4: got that kind of time.
- 28:37Speaker 1: I don't know what she does, so we can.
- 28:39Speaker 4: We'll keep it right in the train and I can
- 28:41Speaker 4: go grab Wookie from the local train just in time
- 28:45Speaker 4: to drive our asses all the way down to the
- 28:46Speaker 4: airport to get cheap to pick up sheep ed Eddie
- 28:51Speaker 4: walk and then drive back. That sounds that sounds like
- 28:54Speaker 4: a plan. I'm not sure Sheep. I don't know.
- 28:56Speaker 1: I don't think Sheep likes life. I don't really know
- 28:59Speaker 1: what he does. I mean like about life.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Yeah, my my sad. My sad news is I cannot
- 29:08Speaker 2: be at no. Remember I have my men's weekend.
- 29:14Speaker 4: You got to hang out with all your mens, Yep,
- 29:17Speaker 4: try and lead them.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I thought we were your mens.
- 29:22Speaker 3: We're hopeless, we covered.
- 29:26Speaker 2: You're still loved. I'm holding out hope. There's always hope.
- 29:32Speaker 1: All right, somebody somebody heard of bar Dice. That's good
- 29:35Speaker 1: in the chat. I'm glad somebody has heard of bar Dice,
- 29:37Speaker 1: because I was like, is this Canadian?
- 29:40Speaker 3: I was like, it can't.
- 29:41Speaker 1: It's yeah, but.
- 29:43Speaker 2: I don't anywhere where it's cold and we're inside. Yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 2: we gotta know.
- 29:46Speaker 3: You just got to go to crumb of your bars
- 29:48Speaker 3: and they'll have bar dice. It's just not the place
- 29:50Speaker 3: this grass car goes to. Yeah, I don't have twenty dollars.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Drinks don't typically have bar dice.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, yep, yep, that's true.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Trill.
- 30:00Speaker 4: You got to stick your pinky out, they chop it off.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I'm not a huge fan of my waiter being better
- 30:07Speaker 1: dressed than I am usually, So I like I like
- 30:11Speaker 1: the place. I mean where you know, that's not a thing,
- 30:15Speaker 1: but you question.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Like the no shirt, no shoes, no problem, that's right.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Places listen, if they got live music, there's a good
- 30:23Speaker 1: chance on there, right Viban. I do like places with
- 30:27Speaker 1: you know, typically I'm going to guess dress poor places
- 30:30Speaker 1: don't typically have live music.
- 30:33Speaker 4: Nah, because typically I want to talk about the you know,
- 30:37Speaker 4: the notes of the drink.
- 30:39Speaker 1: You know. Yeah, see, I'm I'm all about I'll take
- 30:43Speaker 1: a vodka OJ.
- 30:46Speaker 4: Talk about talk about our local polo team.
- 30:49Speaker 1: No not no, actually not, but yes, I'll take a
- 30:53Speaker 1: vodka OJ. And I don't care what kind of vodka
- 30:57Speaker 1: you put in it, just just put it in they're
- 31:00Speaker 1: all of us. Plastic model. Yeah, plastic bottles fine by me,
- 31:04Speaker 1: as long as you put in enough OJ and a
- 31:05Speaker 1: little bit of lemon juice.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Alright, not.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Sonny D, not Sunny D. But we did have a ghost. Yes,
- 31:17Speaker 1: we're going to talk about what you we had a
- 31:21Speaker 1: ghost galaxy sighting impact, Like, what what you gotta do?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Oh wait, I gotta.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Be grumpy somewhere else?
- 31:29Speaker 1: You got grump go to bed?
- 31:34Speaker 3: Grump is in high demand?
- 31:37Speaker 1: Is a high demand? How much do you get per
- 31:40Speaker 1: hower to grump?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Well, so the Grinch is actually sold out right now,
- 31:44Speaker 2: Like he goes from door to door. Oh, there's a
- 31:47Speaker 2: real calling for grenches right now. So he's making money
- 31:51Speaker 2: this time of year.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Have you gotten grinch socks from McDonald's yet?
- 31:56Speaker 4: No, No, Prince, I didn't heard about that one. I
- 32:00Speaker 4: heard about like fights about some like bear thing from Starbucks,
- 32:06Speaker 4: some bear glass.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Oh that they released. Yeah, they released some bear like
- 32:10Speaker 1: limited edition bear glass. They look like like like gummy bears,
- 32:15Speaker 1: but they made it into a glass and put a
- 32:17Speaker 1: straw in it. Yeah, and people are all for each
- 32:21Speaker 1: other for these things. Yeah. No, the at McDonald's they're
- 32:25Speaker 1: doing the adult happy meals again and the adult happy
- 32:30Speaker 1: meal toy is Grench socks. So and you can go
- 32:37Speaker 1: come with the happy ending.
- 32:40Speaker 3: It comes with if you deliberate yourself.
- 32:45Speaker 1: I mean, I guess it depends on I guess. I
- 32:48Speaker 1: guess it depends.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Get worse.
- 32:56Speaker 1: I was gonna go, is that what the treat is about? Yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 1: you'll have to go to find out. But uh, I
- 33:04Speaker 1: was gonna go with Yeah, I was gonna go with
- 33:09Speaker 1: it depends on what's what neighborhood you go to the
- 33:12Speaker 1: McDonald's in But you know you beat you got a
- 33:15Speaker 1: better one, so we'll roll with that one. But we
- 33:20Speaker 1: had a GG sighting at PAX you.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Oh you're gonna bounce there we ha.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, so we did have two articles.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Are there done?
- 33:31Speaker 3: Check?
- 33:31Speaker 1: You can do PV clones now and see if the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Master Vault is right?
- 33:37Speaker 4: Which yeah, which means they actually figured out how to
- 33:39Speaker 4: retrieve the data of the order of the the uh like,
- 33:44Speaker 4: which which car which prophecies are on the back of which.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Prob as As Sheep stated to me, right, they we
- 33:52Speaker 1: didn't necessary, they didn't not not know how to do it.
- 33:55Speaker 1: We just assumed that they were incompetent.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Yeah, to be fair, it was probably the data was
- 34:01Speaker 4: like in the logs in the wrong format, and they're like, ship,
- 34:04Speaker 4: we have to go scrape the logs to figure it out, right,
- 34:07Speaker 4: like stupid stuff like that, Like they didn't start the database,
- 34:11Speaker 4: you know how it is?
- 34:12Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely, yeah, you know.
- 34:15Speaker 2: But what what is nice and helpful is when importing
- 34:20Speaker 2: your decks uh into TCO now they will automatically go
- 34:25Speaker 2: ahead import correctly. You don't have to choose which is
- 34:27Speaker 2: the order for your prophecy. So that's nice at a bonus.
- 34:31Speaker 1: We don't, Joni, we need zero DT deck clumbs.
- 34:37Speaker 4: Yeah, no, no, no DT that we don't mean I
- 34:40Speaker 4: think the issue.
- 34:42Speaker 2: I mean, I will say there was a DT deck
- 34:45Speaker 2: that was played sealed this week by by the.
- 34:49Speaker 3: King of the Trolls.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Yes, poor local car did get rolled rolled hard with that.
- 34:56Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you which which one was it?
- 35:02Speaker 1: Was it? Mister perfect.
- 35:04Speaker 3: Mister perfect would never would never play pp.
- 35:07Speaker 1: That's that's not true. I feel like he'd do it
- 35:11Speaker 1: to like prove some sort of weird point and then
- 35:13Speaker 1: get Rafel Stopper's definitely a Loca car, but just in
- 35:17Speaker 1: time for you know, Key Forde celebration, which puts a
- 35:21Speaker 1: button on the entire key Forge season of twenty twenty five.
- 35:25Speaker 1: We got the International Vault Tour Germany recap. It only
- 35:29Speaker 1: happened in septembery, three months ago. What you know.
- 35:36Speaker 2: I really liked the final paragraph, though more recaps to come.
- 35:41Speaker 2: Organized play for twenty twenty five is at an end,
- 35:43Speaker 2: but there are a few events left to recap. Las
- 35:47Speaker 2: Vegas National Championships and our pinnacle event, KEYBOARDE Celebration. And
- 35:52Speaker 2: she what was your response after I said this.
- 35:56Speaker 3: That nothing's going to change? To take your time?
- 35:59Speaker 2: Yeah, there you go.
- 36:00Speaker 1: What do you what do you want to change?
- 36:04Speaker 2: No, we don't want it to change. We just I
- 36:06Speaker 2: was in a timely manner.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I I know what happened.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I'm okay, okay, cool. I mean, you know what would
- 36:15Speaker 1: be cool is if somehow, some way, you know, maybe
- 36:17Speaker 1: I don't know, in like twenty seven thirty days we
- 36:24Speaker 1: got a Vault Tour schedule. How cool would that be?
- 36:27Speaker 2: Yeah? That would be nice for planning purposes.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Yeah, we'll see.
- 36:35Speaker 1: I think you made a wishful Oh no, I know
- 36:39Speaker 1: I'm wishful. I'm just saying it would be helpful. Yeah,
- 36:42Speaker 1: that's all. That's all.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Docs. Uh, Germany's got some really sweet location. It's good
- 36:51Speaker 2: to see people.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we talked about this kind of though.
- 36:55Speaker 1: We did.
- 36:56Speaker 2: We did, which is why do.
- 36:57Speaker 1: We talk about? Do we talk about the winning deck already?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Probably it had cards good, it's got.
- 37:08Speaker 4: It was Henry, it wasn't Dave Lanston's one twenty six.
- 37:18Speaker 1: In the drascore.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Uh no, that's in SaaS. Let's check the draft score. Yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 4: let's see it. Let's uh, let's check the.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Draft score the draft staff.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Thirty eight. That's pretty that's pretty spicy for thirty draft score.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's got signs trust say no crazy fate. But
- 37:41Speaker 1: then I saw double reiteration. I went, never mind, it's
- 37:46Speaker 1: already twenty.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Six because Lorenzo took second in.
- 37:50Speaker 4: Our cop it's got.
- 37:52Speaker 1: It's got atrocity, Yeah, trist life or double shaffles, m
- 38:00Speaker 1: Anastrac the Foreseer and a traumatic Yx for some blooping.
- 38:04Speaker 3: I mean, it hasn't burnished Nickels, but its house in hands,
- 38:07Speaker 3: so it can be discarded in two houses.
- 38:08Speaker 4: So there you got the hoodwink, right.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I love I do love all thinking that we don't love.
- 38:18Speaker 1: I do. I do love how burnish Nickels with the house.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Pip does make it better because now you could discard
- 38:24Speaker 1: it in multiple houses. Does oh you could play Burnish
- 38:29Speaker 1: Nickels and then obliet it so you never have to
- 38:33Speaker 1: see it again. Legacy yet, right.
- 38:37Speaker 3: But I mean that's deck. This is what Lorenzo played
- 38:41Speaker 3: in ARCon Worlds, and it's descended for twenty twenty six,
- 38:46Speaker 3: so uh yeah, it means he did.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Good well, real good deck, pretty solid. Beat it beat
- 38:55Speaker 1: past her solid, which which is signal handed. Uh one.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Most of the Netherlands folks there vault tours. Mm hmmm.
- 39:09Speaker 4: I'm gotta figure out how to get pastor ass a
- 39:11Speaker 4: higher draft score though, because I think the just naked
- 39:14Speaker 4: a higher over there immediately. Immediately it was like draft
- 39:18Speaker 4: sucks because because the past rest didn't score that great,
- 39:21Speaker 4: I scored fine, But I mean it's not what did it?
- 39:24Speaker 1: What did it past or ass? Or what did it?
- 39:26Speaker 1: What did it score? Which which is a good dress score.
- 39:31Speaker 1: That's that's a solid draft squat.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Draft. Can you just add pen for any deck with ass.
- 39:38Speaker 4: In the name, man, I could do whatever I want want,
- 39:42Speaker 4: just a flat ten if it has if it has
- 39:44Speaker 4: ass in the name, plus twenty five drasscore mm.
- 39:48Speaker 1: Hmm, now seems fair to me.
- 39:51Speaker 3: Maybe drass court needs to be live and every time
- 39:54Speaker 3: a deck finishes in the topic, it gets plus two.
- 39:57Speaker 4: I'm still thinking about I haven't added a UH well.
- 40:00Speaker 4: I did the last time I made changes when we
- 40:02Speaker 4: updated the uh starlance scores. I have been thinking about
- 40:08Speaker 4: a complain feature where you can go and complain about
- 40:12Speaker 4: how we scored certain cards.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, that can of worms.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it does not respond.
- 40:20Speaker 4: You complain and like, say, what the score you want
- 40:23Speaker 4: to be?
- 40:25Speaker 2: He wants he wants to chastise me.
- 40:27Speaker 1: You need to then.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Look at it and think about what these people have said.
- 40:33Speaker 4: Maybe I'm not I'm not required to look at it.
- 40:35Speaker 4: But then but then in our in our discord.
- 40:38Speaker 1: People there that I fear in this is that there's
- 40:41Speaker 1: gonna be a whole bunch of edge case scenarios. But
- 40:44Speaker 1: they're like, but this one time in band camp, this
- 40:48Speaker 1: totally worked.
- 40:50Speaker 4: It's like, I mean, they can be wrong, but like,
- 40:55Speaker 4: complaining is the thing. The other thing is I wonder
- 40:58Speaker 4: maybe I don't know, should I could try to implement
- 41:01Speaker 4: that that scaling, you know, each additional card goes plus
- 41:05Speaker 4: one or minus one.
- 41:06Speaker 1: How about we work on actually getting all the sets scored,
- 41:09Speaker 1: and then we'll talk about scale.
- 41:12Speaker 4: I mean I scored all sets. That seems real.
- 41:15Speaker 2: Well, so, if you're following along in our live show notes, yes, Jenny,
- 41:21Speaker 2: we all want actual support for local organized play. That
- 41:24Speaker 2: that is definitely.
- 41:25Speaker 1: That will be coming in twenty twenty.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Never yep, unfortunately, that is maybe what's happening.
- 41:34Speaker 3: Does all the sport you get two events a year,
- 41:37Speaker 3: enjoy them?
- 41:38Speaker 1: I do? I do?
- 41:42Speaker 2: And drazz there is a good question. Is the drazz
- 41:47Speaker 2: score dot com only for PV or is it for
- 41:50Speaker 2: all sets?
- 41:50Speaker 4: I know this all sets. Yeah, so it's all sets,
- 41:53Speaker 4: which is great all sets. It works for all sets
- 41:56Speaker 4: now and almost every card is scored. You might be
- 42:02Speaker 4: able to find a card that's not. But if you do,
- 42:06Speaker 4: you should let me know.
- 42:09Speaker 1: And to get it get on drass car. You can
- 42:11Speaker 1: go to Patreon dot com so you can.
- 42:14Speaker 4: So I changed a little bit. You can go to
- 42:16Speaker 4: dras drazz score dot com, d r Z S c
- 42:20Speaker 4: o r E dot com. You can, like when you
- 42:23Speaker 4: just land there, you can view everything without doing anything.
- 42:27Speaker 4: If you so, you can look at all the existing
- 42:29Speaker 4: scored decks. You can, you know, go to the cards page.
- 42:33Speaker 4: You can all that stuff. If you register, you get
- 42:36Speaker 4: a few free deck scores, and if you become a
- 42:41Speaker 4: Patreon you get a bunch every month.
- 42:45Speaker 1: I think that now, mister draz Car, you and I
- 42:49Speaker 1: are gonna have to sit down and figure this out.
- 42:52Speaker 1: Figure what out the whole Patreon draz score.
- 42:58Speaker 4: Well, this is true because right now, right now, in
- 43:01Speaker 4: our Patriot it says we're going to be doing like
- 43:03Speaker 4: alpha scores and stuff get higher tiers, and we're definitely
- 43:05Speaker 4: not doing that. We're not really even doing anything. Actually
- 43:09Speaker 4: that's not true. Sheep said he would alpha score every deck.
- 43:13Speaker 4: I heard it on last last week's episode.
- 43:17Speaker 3: I have a lot of.
- 43:23Speaker 1: When you get an email that says it's a c
- 43:26Speaker 1: you can.
- 43:27Speaker 3: You can make a complaint box to where you could
- 43:29Speaker 3: ask for that to be regraded. And then if you
- 43:32Speaker 3: become as.
- 43:33Speaker 2: If you look, if you look under the complaint box,
- 43:38Speaker 2: there's a shredder that's there. It just is directly from
- 43:41Speaker 2: the complaint box through to the shredder.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Yeah, oh the decks we have shredded. Anyways, Uh, we're
- 43:51Speaker 1: back to packs you. I heard it was a little
- 43:55Speaker 1: bit of work. I heard there was a GG sighting,
- 43:59Speaker 1: so like YETI yeah, every now and again they pop
- 44:02Speaker 1: up in the wild I thought, so I thought it.
- 44:05Speaker 3: Was a redacted sighting supported by GG.
- 44:08Speaker 4: Yeah basically, I mean, I mean basically there in force.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah we.
- 44:15Speaker 4: And uh so like yeah, so packs packs unplugged. For
- 44:20Speaker 4: those that don't know, this is one of the it's
- 44:22Speaker 4: become one of the largest board game and cart game
- 44:26Speaker 4: and tabletop RBG conventions in the in the country. So
- 44:32Speaker 4: it I mean, it's definitely smaller than gien Con. It's
- 44:35Speaker 4: like maybe similar in size to Origins. At this point,
- 44:41Speaker 4: I think there's like over twenty thousand people. I don't know,
- 44:43Speaker 4: I'll have to check to see what they say the
- 44:46Speaker 4: ticket sales are or whatever, but it's it's pretty big.
- 44:49Speaker 4: And so there's it's a three day con.
- 44:54Speaker 1: And so.
- 44:57Speaker 3: The U.
- 45:01Speaker 4: You know, some of these conventions are typically board game
- 45:04Speaker 4: conventions for whatever reason or four days, but but this is
- 45:06Speaker 4: three day con and there's a huge expo hall with
- 45:10Speaker 4: all the different board game, card game, miniature companies whatever
- 45:14Speaker 4: are there, right, so you know, Fantasy Flight's got a
- 45:17Speaker 4: huge area, right or Asthmade I guess has a huge
- 45:19Speaker 4: area whatever. But then Little Little Ghost Galaxy also you
- 45:26Speaker 4: can get a little booth, uh, and then there's open
- 45:29Speaker 4: play areas. There's a huge board game library, and there's
- 45:32Speaker 4: like there's like you know, nerd celebrities that show up,
- 45:36Speaker 4: and there's events and all sorts of things. Right, So
- 45:41Speaker 4: so that's that's packs you Packs un Plugged, And this
- 45:45Speaker 4: is the first year that that the that Ghost Galaxy
- 45:54Speaker 4: has come to Packs Unplugged. The previous years they have
- 45:58Speaker 4: not attended. So this is a newer convention. I want
- 46:03Speaker 4: to say the first year was what like twenty twenty,
- 46:07Speaker 4: might have been twenty eighteen.
- 46:09Speaker 1: This was the first first pack Some Plugged has been
- 46:12Speaker 1: going on for some time.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Well so Packs has been going on for some time,
- 46:18Speaker 4: but Packs Unplugged is relatively new, is it?
- 46:22Speaker 1: Because Packs was seventeen. The first Plugged was held in
- 46:27Speaker 1: November seventeenth through the nineteenth twenty seventeen. There you go. Yeah, typically.
- 46:36Speaker 4: Like PAS is like paying arcade expo, right, so that's
- 46:40Speaker 4: typically been a video game thing.
- 46:42Speaker 1: So when they started packs, you.
- 46:44Speaker 4: That's that's the unplugged, right, So that's the that's the
- 46:47Speaker 4: physical game.
- 46:48Speaker 1: It's becoming a big place too for card games a lot.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I know, Dexter and Cole were there. I
- 46:57Speaker 1: think they were doing rift Bound demos.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Yeah something I did not run into Dexter like I
- 47:06Speaker 4: saw him on like his flying around on Discord, but
- 47:09Speaker 4: I did not physically see him.
- 47:10Speaker 1: He's real big, so yeah, yeah, so what did Ghost
- 47:21Speaker 1: Galaxy do? So right?
- 47:25Speaker 4: I So first thing I do when I show up
- 47:28Speaker 4: at packs on Friday, well, actually the very first thing
- 47:32Speaker 4: I do is I run to the checks Game Edition
- 47:36Speaker 4: booth because they had a small number of the expansions
- 47:42Speaker 4: for the new expansion for SETI, which is one of
- 47:46Speaker 4: my current favorite board games, and the expansion just came
- 47:49Speaker 4: out at Essen and it's not yet released in the US,
- 47:51Speaker 4: so they like airshipped some copies there, so uh so
- 47:55Speaker 4: that ran out real fast, so I was happy to
- 47:57Speaker 4: grab that first. But that was not too far away
- 48:01Speaker 4: from from where the GG booth was. So after I
- 48:07Speaker 4: snag that, walked over to the GG booth where there
- 48:12Speaker 4: was Josh, there was Jeremy, and there was other guy,
- 48:17Speaker 4: and uh, I feel.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Bad because actually, well who was the other guy?
- 48:23Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd like a while when you go yeah, you know,
- 48:27Speaker 4: when you.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Go for such a small team, they think they continue
- 48:30Speaker 1: to still have all these people that we don't know I.
- 48:34Speaker 4: Feel bad, right, So like the you know, like when
- 48:37Speaker 4: you go to the KFC and there's you know, you
- 48:39Speaker 4: see Josh and Jeremy, there's CTP, right, there's there's Luke,
- 48:43Speaker 4: there's other Jeremy, right, but then there's other guy. You know,
- 48:50Speaker 4: it's like that one other guy is the young guys
- 48:53Speaker 4: that seth Maybe he's the not not not Hurley, not
- 48:58Speaker 4: Hurley's brother, other guy.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, wow.
- 49:05Speaker 4: So so other guy was there. Yeah, so I feel
- 49:10Speaker 4: bad that I can't remember his name, but uh so
- 49:14Speaker 4: the three of them were there, and uh so I
- 49:17Speaker 4: get there and you know, I see the splay set
- 49:20Speaker 4: up right, and I see, okay, yep, they've got PV
- 49:23Speaker 4: for sale, right, which is out of stock, right, but
- 49:25Speaker 4: they PV for sale. They've got Discovery, which makes sense.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 49:32Speaker 4: Discovery was was front center. But they had a bunch
- 49:37Speaker 4: of that. They had Amber skies, they had g R,
- 49:41Speaker 4: they had some talk, they had I think they might
- 49:44Speaker 4: have some WHOA. So they had a whole bunch of
- 49:47Speaker 4: different sets there. They had some play mats they had right,
- 49:53Speaker 4: so they had they had a whole set of things
- 49:55Speaker 4: right toky right, those like the the dream trace tokens
- 50:00Speaker 4: or whatever. So they had that, right, and then they've
- 50:02Speaker 4: got a big table at their booth, right, which can
- 50:06Speaker 4: sit two pairs of folks, right, and then they've got
- 50:09Speaker 4: two smaller tables, right. So the big table, understandably, right,
- 50:13Speaker 4: was going to be that what the heck is the
- 50:16Speaker 4: new game?
- 50:16Speaker 1: They've been pimps that goes yeah because of omens. Right.
- 50:22Speaker 4: So they've got some some decks there and they're they're like, hey,
- 50:26Speaker 4: coming to you know, game found or whatever and whatever
- 50:30Speaker 4: month next year, right, March or or may or I
- 50:36Speaker 4: don't know, it's one of some m month right, So
- 50:40Speaker 4: I don't know if they actually said what I think
- 50:42Speaker 4: March in May is all the months. I don't know
- 50:45Speaker 4: if there's another one. Yeah, there you go, so you'll
- 50:48Speaker 4: get your cross. So yeah, then like we so I'm
- 50:55Speaker 4: like okay, right, and and I was actually like, well,
- 50:58Speaker 4: you know, you guys have it here, Like I went
- 51:01Speaker 4: because one of my buddies was there just for Friday,
- 51:04Speaker 4: and he's he's actually a guy who he he will play.
- 51:09Speaker 4: He has some key forded decks. He'll play with me,
- 51:10Speaker 4: but like he is not interested in like serious like
- 51:15Speaker 4: competitive play. Like like I've mentioned before in the cast
- 51:19Speaker 4: that I have like drawers that are like kind of
- 51:22Speaker 4: organized by like power level, a little bit like rough
- 51:24Speaker 4: power level. Like he's one of my two friends that
- 51:27Speaker 4: will just go and grab some decks out of the
- 51:29Speaker 4: like a a section and just like face off like
- 51:32Speaker 4: Quasi sealed. But he, you know, he has no interest
- 51:36Speaker 4: in Arkhan or anything like that. So AnyWho, So he
- 51:42Speaker 4: he's there, but he had to go to will call,
- 51:44Speaker 4: so he was going to be a bit. So I
- 51:45Speaker 4: was like, oh, I'll come back when he's here, because
- 51:47Speaker 4: he would be interested in trying it, and you know,
- 51:50Speaker 4: I'll see what this thing is and then you know,
- 51:53Speaker 4: and then i'll know how what how much of a
- 51:56Speaker 4: hard time to give it on on the cast, right
- 51:57Speaker 4: you know? So that was my plan, right, But was
- 52:00Speaker 4: like okay, okay, So they got key forge and I
- 52:01Speaker 4: walk over to the next table, right, so table two
- 52:04Speaker 4: of three, and they've got right there Lord of the
- 52:06Speaker 4: Rings thing, right.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Which.
- 52:10Speaker 4: Right, that makes sense. They right, they ran the they
- 52:14Speaker 4: paid for this license, right, they ran the game found
- 52:18Speaker 4: right there.
- 52:19Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever, so you got to do that harm size.
- 52:21Speaker 1: It was.
- 52:22Speaker 2: It was the big Lord of the Rings table right
- 52:24Speaker 2: kind of yeah, exactly exactly. It looks it looks they didn't.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Yeah, they didn't have like the table wasn't like this
- 52:31Speaker 4: fancy table they were selling, Like they didn't ship out
- 52:33Speaker 4: the the crazy table. But yeah, like when I glanced
- 52:37Speaker 4: at I was like, oh, yeah, it does look cool, right,
- 52:40Speaker 4: So it was the I guess, just the Premium not
- 52:43Speaker 4: the Ultra Premium edition whatever. So I had that so
- 52:47Speaker 4: I can go to the next table back you can
- 52:50Speaker 4: see key Forge. Yes, what I say, mind bug, mind bug.
- 52:59Speaker 4: So three tables and no key Forge.
- 53:05Speaker 1: I was like Jerry.
- 53:07Speaker 4: So so I started giving Jerry hard time, right, and
- 53:11Speaker 4: he's like, oh, we're gonna you know. He's like oh yeah, man,
- 53:15Speaker 4: and and all the Redactive boys right there down they're
- 53:17Speaker 4: gonna demo in this area. I'm like, well I know that,
- 53:20Speaker 4: but like you don't have a demo here. So I
- 53:23Speaker 4: was given hard time, right, so I was like, ah, whatever,
- 53:29Speaker 4: So and he's like, oh, yeah, we're gonna send people
- 53:33Speaker 4: down to the demo with those guys. So so I
- 53:37Speaker 4: kind of leaving the area, walking around the con a
- 53:40Speaker 4: whole bunch, meeting back up with my buddy, but he's
- 53:43Speaker 4: met up with with his other friends. So then we
- 53:45Speaker 4: end up just you know, walking around a bunch and
- 53:47Speaker 4: then playing some games. We actually not don't end up
- 53:49Speaker 4: going back to the gg booth, but at some point
- 53:57Speaker 4: I do wander past, you know, all the Redactive guys
- 54:01Speaker 4: doing the demos, right, and they got to sign out
- 54:04Speaker 4: like about how hey you should you know, demo key
- 54:09Speaker 4: Forge and you'll win a free deck. And I come
- 54:15Speaker 4: by and I'm like, I see what's going on, and
- 54:17Speaker 4: it's like packed. There's like a lot of people playing
- 54:21Speaker 4: key Forge, and I'm like, you know this, this is.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Actually kind of cool.
- 54:28Speaker 4: Uh, And so you know, there was a whole bunch
- 54:34Speaker 4: of people trying it, a whole bunch of people demoing decks.
- 54:37Speaker 4: There was so a whole bunch of folks there, right,
- 54:39Speaker 4: So we had Mam and d g JJ, King of
- 54:41Speaker 4: Blaying Metal, Zoa Chicksburrek Corp, Stragan eight. They were all
- 54:44Speaker 4: there demoing games and whatnot.
- 54:49Speaker 1: And so.
- 54:51Speaker 4: Just you know, I having a good time. So I'm like, okay,
- 54:53Speaker 4: so you know, I'm gonna hang out with with with
- 54:56Speaker 4: my friends, but I'll circle back at some point. So
- 54:58Speaker 4: so I didn't end up really getting involved on Friday
- 55:04Speaker 4: or and then Saturday is I hadn't finished walking the
- 55:07Speaker 4: con floor, so I'm like, well, I'm gonna do this
- 55:08Speaker 4: because I want to see all the things, but uh,
- 55:14Speaker 4: I do circle back at some point on Saturday, and
- 55:18Speaker 4: uh and then like metal Zoa is there with which
- 55:23Speaker 4: turns out to be his girlfriend, and like he's like,
- 55:26Speaker 4: I think he fell on key Forge love. I think
- 55:28Speaker 4: I don't know. And uh because his girlfriend, I think
- 55:32Speaker 4: he was nervous about introducing her to KeyForge, but she
- 55:35Speaker 4: ends up liking it, so he's just so excited.
- 55:38Speaker 1: So the big ass grin on his face and uh.
- 55:44Speaker 1: And again it's like packed like they are.
- 55:48Speaker 4: They have like five or six tables running at the
- 55:50Speaker 4: same time for demos. So like somehow, even though they
- 55:55Speaker 4: screwed up, I guess they screwed up the size of
- 55:58Speaker 4: their booth in terms of like how many tables they
- 56:03Speaker 4: could fit. So so like Josh or Jeremy was like,
- 56:06Speaker 4: we'd planned on having four tables, but like we couldn't
- 56:09Speaker 4: fit four tables in the booth, so we could only
- 56:11Speaker 4: have three.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I was like, lead excuse.
- 56:14Speaker 4: But then somehow they failed up right somehow by not
- 56:17Speaker 4: having that booth and then having people come over to
- 56:19Speaker 4: this area meant there was way more demos going on
- 56:22Speaker 4: all the time, and then we kept sending people back
- 56:26Speaker 4: to go get to get decks, and you know, I
- 56:31Speaker 4: come back and like Jeremy's like, oh yeah, Like people
- 56:34Speaker 4: are buying a whole bunch of decks and stuff. So
- 56:36Speaker 4: so that was cool. So finally on Sunday I actually
- 56:42Speaker 4: could get involved in demoing because a bunch of the
- 56:44Speaker 4: guys were not going to be there, so it's like, hey,
- 56:46Speaker 4: can stop by for a little bit. So I was like, shure, sure, sure,
- 56:49Speaker 4: So I come by not too long after open and
- 56:53Speaker 4: just started demoing games with people and it was actually
- 56:57Speaker 4: a ton of fun. There was people that I ran
- 57:00Speaker 4: two that were like quasi locals. I was like, oh,
- 57:04Speaker 4: here's our story, good discord. There was people like from
- 57:07Speaker 4: all over I was like trying to connect to various places,
- 57:11Speaker 4: Like there's one guy from Montreal, so I'm like pinging
- 57:14Speaker 4: jam Mount. I'm like, what's the name of the story
- 57:16Speaker 4: you play at right? And then I was pinging the
- 57:20Speaker 4: Michigan guys like what story did you guys play at right?
- 57:23Speaker 4: Like all this stuff, So it was actually, uh, it
- 57:28Speaker 4: was pretty cool. I ended up spending the entire day
- 57:30Speaker 4: on Sunday just demoing keyboards to lots of people doing
- 57:36Speaker 4: ghost you Ye, sorry, Wookie, it.
- 57:40Speaker 1: Was the I did.
- 57:44Speaker 4: Jeremy did give me a few decks for as a
- 57:47Speaker 4: thank you, sooy wait wait did you get Did you
- 57:52Speaker 4: get three decks or four decks?
- 57:57Speaker 2: Actually, if you got if you got more than the
- 58:00Speaker 2: top eight at Worlds.
- 58:03Speaker 4: I definitely got more than the top eight at world
- 58:06Speaker 4: definitely definitely got TB foiled decks, So you were good.
- 58:16Speaker 4: So less it is what what if Jeremy designed the
- 58:19Speaker 4: prizes not Josh, and You're going to be a better shape,
- 58:23Speaker 4: I think is the situation.
- 58:27Speaker 1: Ah, So it was a good time. It was a
- 58:32Speaker 1: good time.
- 58:33Speaker 4: It actually wasn't that many boil but you know, would
- 58:39Speaker 4: you like to Well, the one thing I did do
- 58:43Speaker 4: because Jeremy had to like document Jeremy had to document
- 58:48Speaker 4: what uh like what he gave us, so that like
- 58:54Speaker 4: because it then it's marketing expenses. So I just took
- 58:58Speaker 4: one of everything wait.
- 59:00Speaker 2: Wait wait wait wait wait wait time.
- 59:04Speaker 1: Out on a table and be like, oh, just take
- 59:06Speaker 1: what you want.
- 59:09Speaker 4: Well, no, they had the display there where it was
- 59:11Speaker 4: like all the stuff they were selling. So I was like, well,
- 59:13Speaker 4: give me a CC, give you a g R, give
- 59:16Speaker 4: you this, give you that and he just.
- 59:18Speaker 1: Gave him to you.
- 59:20Speaker 4: Yeah for demoing for like eight hours or whatever.
- 59:26Speaker 2: You you you passed by the really that you said
- 59:29Speaker 2: an M word.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Mar, what's marketing? Doesn't I know? Right?
- 59:38Speaker 4: I mean this marketing seemed to work at least to me, right.
- 59:41Speaker 2: Like you mean actually going ahead and demoing, having space
- 59:46Speaker 2: for people to try out your game, to have people
- 59:48Speaker 2: who are excited about it and talk about, Yes, that
- 59:50Speaker 2: does work. Amazing.
- 59:52Speaker 1: You got to do something well only half, like half
- 59:55Speaker 1: having a good time hold on only half of it worked,
- 59:59Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: Job, But like I I mean, I don't know how
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: many they sold, but they had to have sold more than.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: They handed out. And the few decks they gave us
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: they gave you weren't the scraps.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Clearly, I'm going to tell you that you can hear
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: from the other cast that it is also talking about
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: this with all of the REDACTA guys, And yes there
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: were there was quite a few individuals traveling through your group.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: You guys, did an amazing job. But when you're passionate,
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: it brings others to the game. They see that it's
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: perfect entrance. I will say it did sound like discovery
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: worked really well, here for newbies and you're going to
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: get in. It's not for us hardened key Forge players.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: But this was very much intro level and most of
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: these individuals did not have key Forge experience or know
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: about bolts.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: They were in all these ready for the drazz cor experience.
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: Let's just put it that way. Maybe.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: I mean, you know, you know you had to talk
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: about a fighting a little bit, you know, like the
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: it was actually late. Uh so man, it was like, oh, yeah,
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: I what he was doing to try to get people
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: to realize that you fighting wasn't the first and only
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: answer was he was telling people that, hey, and key Forge,
- 1:01:30Speaker 4: reaping is the offensive move and fighting is the defensive
- 1:01:34Speaker 4: mood move because you're right gaining embers, gaining m Yeah,
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: and I was like, that's that's actually a great, a
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: great way to explain it to folks. So well, I
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: I didn't do that, but I, you know, I went
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: to explain the game, and basically what I was doing
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: was explaining like the gist of the game and then
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: get people going and then as things would come up,
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: help them with those rules and stuff. So it's pretty good.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: It's pretty fun.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: My depression grows. What's happening to my depression grows. Why's
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: that It's still just it's mind boggling to me still
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: to this day. How like literally like and I I
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: loved the analogy last week because I actually listened to
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: your Guys' episode last week, and I think I think
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: it was Ewok who set it best. The lady giving
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: out the pennies, right, and that's what KFC felt like.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: The lady who gave out the pennies for Halloween.
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: Well, no, no, I think I will add on to that,
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: there were some amazing that well, no, lady, there there
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: were some amazing things at KFC, but most of them
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: were all put on by.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: The community in the community.
- 1:02:57Speaker 2: And so that you literally are walking with king sized
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: candy bars and you're like, this is amazing. From WHIRLI
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Ball to like experiences from snack Forge, like just being
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: with people was great. I will say the event as
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: a whole, I felt ran well, but the prize support
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: was definitely it's not even pennies. It's like here's a
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: shilling or like it was bad. It just was bad.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: And it's just like it's almost to the degree where
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: the point where they're trying to tell us, hey, competitive
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: key forge, ain't it, guys? So just stop coming and
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: thinking you're gonna get prizes. Just me, okay, cool, Like
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: I don't know, I.
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: Don't really come for the prizes. It is disapplinny when.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: There, but she'll bitch about them a little bit.
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: But I mean, like, the pin's the only thing that
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: I'll really keep meaningfully from the ship. They've gave me
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: multiple years.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: In a row. Oh yeah, I have one of your don't.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Care about Did you like the smaller pin or the large?
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: You know how there was larger pins?
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: Like it is. It is annoying that the pin scale
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: is not consistent.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the first world problem.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: But yes, I do have somebody's pin. I have two,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: two KFC pins. Somebody somebody gave me a pin, was
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: like this is yours, and I was like, I got mine,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: and then I was like, but I'll double check it.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Yeah I got to. So if you're missing a KFC pin,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: I guess, let me know. I have two. I don't
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: know how I got to, but I have two of them.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: But I will just say good job redacted group and job.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: Redactive team act.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: I had nothing to do.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: Well, I'm gonna yeah, good job dude, they're all part
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: of the name. D G and j J Tho two
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: guys were they're basically the whole time, and a bunch
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: of the other guys were there either one or do
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: old days. So uh major, major props to uh to
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: to those guys I did. I did one day, which
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: I didn't even think I was gonna do that much, honest.
- 1:05:20Speaker 3: Just doing pennants for poopy dragons.
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: Pennants for poopy dragons.
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: I tell you. We were at Locals tonight and I
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: basically just like you know, kept discarding my opponent's whole hand.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: And at the end of the game he was like,
- 1:05:36Speaker 4: I can't wait for I can't wait for tired Dragons.
- 1:05:40Speaker 4: I was like, you know what, me either, like it
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: felt kind of bad, like I want three keys. I
- 1:05:45Speaker 4: think he got a pity key at the end, but
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: like he just couldn't do stuff like the whole game,
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: and uh, you know, I opened decently good for sealed
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: and he did not, And uh you know, I mean
- 1:06:00Speaker 4: that can happen in any set, but at least you.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Know, at least you can do something right.
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: It's not like you called the house and then it's
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: like oops, you now have nothing.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: So here's here's a here's a weird question for everyone.
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: You guys are all in the see I guess the
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: same boat we all float in. Right, what is your thought?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: And I had this thought slash feeling. I don't I
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: don't really know what to call it of. Instead of
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: going to more vaults next year, going to more things
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: like a packs you as as your well is not
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: op now they might do.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: More board games.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Right, Oh, oh, you mean us or you mean you
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: mean well you you personally right? Like, That's that's what
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: I'm saying, Like you you personally like because time and
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: money are both things that are you know, finite. Right,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: So it's like, Okay, do I want to go to
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: more more vault tours next year? Or do I want
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: to go to more things like a pax you like
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: a well, gen CON's kind of one of those things,
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: but like a pax, you like a I'm trying to
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: think of some of the other ones, and they're not
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: like coming to mind right off the.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: Grid origins, there's BGG origins there, that's Dice Towers East
- 1:07:36Speaker 4: and West. There's there's like a whole bunch, right.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: Because like, if if this was the prize support for worlds.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: It's like, I mean, I get like.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: There's no prizes that those things you pay more money
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: to go and play board games where you win nothing like.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Right, But you're why can't you pay organ?
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: Why did the prizes hitter so much?
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: They are an incentive for some individuals, just like when
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: people were.
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: I know, it's not it's not many many times.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: It's not an argument some of the individuals that packs. Yes,
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: I mean, and I'm going.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: To tell you that like having to be incentivized to
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: do everything in life isn't going to lead to happiness.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Ye, you you have intrinsic motivation. Others have extrinsic That's
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: that's a difference. Not everyone is going to have intrinsic
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: and you have to be able to take care of both.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Can I talk now? No? Cool, So we're a pax
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: or an origins or and I understand what you're saying, sheep,
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: but a pax or an origins or things of these natures, right,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: are very low key, very casual. I feel like I
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: could go I could go to one of these events
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: enjoy some of the same people that I go to
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: vault tours with in the same capacity and not go
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: and compete. Right, when you go to a vaulteer, your
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: whole idea is to compete. Vault tours are nothing but competition, right,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: and with their system, with their sure, with their system.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Once you're o to, your day is done. Right, you
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: don't have I mean, you can go on a second ember,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: I guess, and I guess honestly, you could go do
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: something else, but most of the people at a vault
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: tour are there for key Forge, so you're not going
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: to have other things like, yeah, I go to a
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: PAX and I scrub out or whatever shitty side event
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: they have. I can go go do other things there,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: and there's a lot of effort that goes I you
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: can tell me if I'm wrong. There's a lot of
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: effort that goes into going to a vault to her
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: and being super competitive and key Forge.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: Now, we haven't done that in a long time.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I mean well, I mean yeah, I mean my last
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: time probably being super competitive in any of this was
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: probably Roosevelt and that was it. And then after that
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: I kind of didn't care anymore. Well, I don't say
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: I didn't care anymore, but I kind of was lasi
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: faire about it, right, I had my spot, I was
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: happy I didn't need to need to do much of
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: anything else until KFC rolled around. Either way, I don't know.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I just I feel like if I'm going to put
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: a lot of time, effort, money into an event that
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: you yourself is going to tell me is competitive, this, that,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: and everything else, the prize don't need to be worth
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: my time, money, and experience. I'm not saying it has
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to all be one for one, right. I'm not saying
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: that I'm paying you one hundred dollars. I'm expecting one
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: hundred dollars in prize support back not saying that, but
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: I am saying that I'm putting a lot of time, money,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: effort into this. My expectation is at least you put
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: bare minimum the fucking effort. I'm not saying you need
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: to give me one hundred dollars in prize support. What
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I'm saying is I need one hundred dollars in fucking effort. Right,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: because it's the same shit year in and year out,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: Like nothing changes at a Vault tour. We're all gonna
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: bitch about the same thing in twenty twenty six, so
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: we bitched about in twenty twenty five. Jeremy needs to
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: get his German. Yeah.
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Sorry, stations are changing. There isn't more money and this
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: is going to change. So this is why work for you.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: It's you go find something else to do.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: And this is why I'm saying personally, is this something
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: you guys would look at going into more of these
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: events as opposed to the rest of us go to
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: more of those events already, probably than as is.
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: Going to several board gaming events. Jared and I aren't
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: doing as many as we've maybe done long in the past,
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: but both of us make it to a few.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: I don't think you're understanding my question. I'm saying, so
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: they do more of these instead of going to vaul
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: tours or are you just going to do them both?
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: And it just doesn't really doesn't.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: Honestly, have my friends right, right, They've got you guys, right,
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: they got other other folks who you know, who are
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: cool that we hang out with from from the community, right, and.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: That's probably the biggest draw, Like it is. Then we go.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: Out afterwards and that's a good time them.
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: The I mean, PAX is easy for me because it's
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: like a short train ride away and then you know,
- 1:13:12Speaker 4: I know, people who are in the area, right, So
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: so that one's like a slam dunk for me. But
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: getting to a bigger convention somewhere further away is a
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: little tricky because it's probably more expensive than going to
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: a Vault because you know, there's even more people there
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: and it's probably a bigger city, so it's probably more expensive.
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: And then.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: And then packs getting in the door for three days
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: was you know, quite a bit more expensive than going
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: to a Vault tour. And then you get there and
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: you're expected to, like, you know, spend more money.
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: This was so designed as a personal question to each
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: one of you, and she just took it very like,
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I don't know, gutturally and literally, and it's fine, It's okay.
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean my response, my response, Wookie is is
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: it's not going to change where I am.
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: Okay. Then that that was my question. Thank you for answering.
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: I just I was just saying, hey, is this something
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: that you know you would say like, maybe I focused
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: on this a little more, because me personally, it's kind
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: of I'm kind of like, hey, maybe I focus on
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: this a little more. I don't know, so in my
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: personal because I don't feel like next year, I might
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: and because I don't feel like I get the amount
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: of effort in these because it's it's it's not going
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: to change. It's the same song and dance that we have.
- 1:14:41Speaker 3: Like my experience with board gaming events is it's way
- 1:14:46Speaker 3: more effort for me to go to these board gaming
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: events and have a good time than the key Forard stuff.
- 1:14:54Speaker 3: It's way more work to schedule your day.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: You're going in advance.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: You if you don't, you don't have the same even
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: general social contract. You sit down to key Forge, you
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: mostly know what to expect. When you sit down to
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: board games with Rando's, man, people are not on the
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: same page at all. That's like there you know you'll
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: have good experiences, but you'll have bad experiences. But it's
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: it's a lot I don't know. I find board gaming
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: conventions like you'll see me at gen Con. I don't
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: even sign up for a lot of stuff because the
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: fear of dealing with Rando's is too high for me.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: I can't I can't deal with it. It is not
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: enjoyable for me.
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: And when I went to gen Con, I did go.
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: I signed up for a Starfinder game because I had
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: not played a Starfinder and.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: You know, I own the books.
- 1:15:52Speaker 4: Never played right, actually, you know, and I was, but
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: I was definitely nervous because it's definitely Rando's and it
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: was fine, but like.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: It was, you know, it wasn't.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: It wasn't the same as like hanging out with a
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: bunch of friends who are friends per passionate about the
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: same thing. Yeah, or even like we are all like
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: trying out the game. We weren't like, this is one
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: of our favorite games. Let's all play this together, you know,
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: even though we don't know each other, which you know
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: when you're playing Keyborge that's often the case, right, So
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: it was just different, right.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: I think there is still some takeaway Wookie from this conversation.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: The conversation, there's there's still some areas for improvement, one
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: of them being that, frankly, the two l O system
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: is not conducive to people who are getting in who
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: are coming to an event just for KeyForge. I know
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: they want to have their second amber. But the short
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: bit is I still had some of the best times
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: going ahead and being playing the final games at one
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: in five or two in four. There's nothing wrong with that.
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: You find people that are at your own level. I
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: think to like the second amber has improved. But the
- 1:17:09Speaker 2: short answer is that it's easy enough to opt in
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: that are you playing the next round? Yes or no?
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: We now have that on a screen, and that was
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: really the impetus. What was causing problems was for pairing
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: people when people didn't return because they had lost. I
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: think if we just go ahead and submit, do you
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: want to continue to play? Yes? Great, I press my button,
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: I'm going to be here. But especially when we're in
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: game stores, which is a really good thing. Game stores
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: have helped this space. I think that we want to
- 1:17:41Speaker 2: just come in and continue to play do I think
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: that on the other side, that marketing is extremely important
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: and getting into packs you into some of the cons
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: is important. Sure, and if you have people like the
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: Redacted crew that are gung ho for your game and
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: will put in the legwork for you one thousand percent,
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: that has a huge payout to be able to have
- 1:18:03Speaker 2: people who can play to demo, I'll definitely say have
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: passionate people.
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: It is better to have the passion of people because
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: like Dexter and Cole were doing Riftbound, a game they
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: don't they didn't know a ton about and had to
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: learn before they went. So would you rather have a
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: Dexter and Cole who don't know much about it and
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: are just kind of learning with you, or a bunch
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: of people who are passionate about the game.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: There is Riftbound on the same night we play key Forge,
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: and we consistently have more players than them, So.
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: I don't really that's players from what I hear.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Well, we live, we're in Milwaukee, so I mean if
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: it ain't magic, it ain't playing, right, So yeah, I
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: mean you're yeah, I.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: Mean there was a lot of magic player we had,
- 1:18:48Speaker 4: how many we had?
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: How many people we have?
- 1:18:51Speaker 4: I think we had seven players tonight. Uh and uh
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: there was probably twenty to thirty Magic players in the store.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: The night when we were playing. Yeah, So I don't know.
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: Just like I said, it was just kind of an
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: interesting tidbit that I've I've been thinking about because even
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: you know, it's like going to some of these things,
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: it's like, well, I have opportunities in certain areas, and
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: would what am I looking for in the future? Right?
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: So I was just curious personally, is is is it
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: a thought that runs through your head or is it
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: just not? Nothing much is changing and it's and that's
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: nothing changing. That's also fine to me. I would love
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: to do a yes and right. I would love to
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: be like, I'll do both. Right.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: There's only so much time and so much money.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Yeah, right, there is.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: But our community is so good that it is very worthwhile.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Like I take specific time because I enjoy hanging out
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: with my key Forge family. I enjoy being able to
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: play the game and put both of those on some
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: of the long weekends. Yes, I will definitely do it that,
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: there's no question about it. But if you put me
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: in a in a con to be able to go
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: ahead and do it, it's not gonna entice me more.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: It is our community that's driving it. It is the
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: game that's driving it. There's so I like that, all right?
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Well, I hear sheep are already grumbling in the background.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: It's his bedtime. It's my bedtime too. Oh we got
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: a tucker man, Yeah, we got a talk sheep, and
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: everybody say good night.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: She ninety night, cheap leave tight, thank you, good night.
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: Here's your blank. Yeah, he's got to get that, and
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: he's got to go get his fuzzy grew and stuffy.
- 1:20:48Speaker 3: Did I have some warm milk?
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: No go to bed smail your spill, you walk will
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: suckle you probably alright, And with that being sad, we
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: will see you all next be for everyone.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: May the forged me with you. I love you all.
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: Stove my fama, uh is your papa kid? Did your
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: binkie well?
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: Apparently, roll some dice and use a finger if you
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: saw so many times. Stop.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: I don't feel I'm faster.
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: New Polynesians, you need yourself. You your FASTI yourself da
