- 0:10Speaker 3: Father's Day.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Happy Father's Day. Hey, thank you. It's like a late
- 0:14Speaker 1: father is it? Wait? Is it a late Father's Day
- 0:16Speaker 1: or early?
- 0:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 0:17Speaker 1: But depending on when you listen.
- 0:18Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you listen right away, if you're a
- 0:21Speaker 3: true if you're a true fan of the podcast, yeah,
- 0:24Speaker 3: and you listen right away, it's before Father's Day.
- 0:27Speaker 4: Okay, Happy early father, Happy early Father's Day. And now
- 0:30Speaker 4: if you're listening when it actually is Father's Day, Happy
- 0:33Speaker 4: Father's Day.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Late.
- 0:34Speaker 2: You Know.
- 0:35Speaker 4: What I really loved is when your dad sat down.
- 0:37Speaker 4: He's like, why don't you sit up a little higher?
- 0:40Speaker 4: What was that told you?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Now?
- 0:42Speaker 3: What did you mean by that? By the way, Dad,
- 0:45Speaker 3: why don't I sit up a little higher like the
- 0:46Speaker 3: height of the desk or no?
- 0:48Speaker 2: No, what I mean is it looks like your head's
- 0:50Speaker 2: almost ready to hit the ceiling. Really, you're up. You
- 0:54Speaker 2: need an elevator to get into that chair. That's that's
- 0:57Speaker 2: what it means to me.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Anyway, I like high up. I don't know, I feel
- 1:01Speaker 3: like most radio studios. You shit high up?
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, right, because I mean we're Becker sitting and where
- 1:07Speaker 2: we'll watch your buddy. There's another foot there in between.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Are you's saying he's finally growing up? Yeah, well, never happened.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Look at my.
- 1:17Speaker 3: Desk, a robot desk. It's good the robot that's going down.
- 1:23Speaker 3: But that doesn't look as good, you know what I mean?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Like, okay, well, yeah, well on a podcast, you got
- 1:28Speaker 2: to make sure you look good, right, yeah.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Well, there are a lot of podcasts now that are
- 1:33Speaker 1: on video.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You know this one.
- 1:35Speaker 4: No, okay, it's really high now. I feel like it's
- 1:38Speaker 4: higher than it was. No, it's notice I'm higher than
- 1:41Speaker 4: I was. I have a little bit now my microphone's
- 1:44Speaker 4: going up too. And this affects me. By the way,
- 1:46Speaker 4: what you're doing anyway, he's sitting up properly.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Now. I don't know what he's doing, you know what.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I think a lot of people have these desks. Now.
- 1:54Speaker 3: These are like the desks where there's buttons on the
- 1:56Speaker 3: side where you press them and it goes up or
- 1:58Speaker 3: down because you could, like the idea is you could
- 2:00Speaker 3: stand during the day. Who's doing that? Though, I'm not
- 2:02Speaker 3: doing that, not doing You know what a lot of
- 2:03Speaker 3: people do. They put a treadmill under their desk. Now,
- 2:06Speaker 3: how miserable is your life when you got to put
- 2:08Speaker 3: a treadmill under your desk. My sister used to do that.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I think, Yeah, I get what are you sitting down?
- 2:14Speaker 3: Oh no, you would be walking under you're standing, you're
- 2:16Speaker 3: getting your steps in while you're working. I'd probably just
- 2:18Speaker 3: fall down hit my head. That's how you define me.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Uh oh, there we'll go. She's supposed to be in
- 2:23Speaker 1: the room. Is she? I put her in the bedroom?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Thought I did. Please hold and we're back, okay, anyway,
- 2:38Speaker 1: all right, I'm out of breath now.
- 2:40Speaker 4: So anyway, your dad came on, and the first thing
- 2:42Speaker 4: he did is what you want to make sure you
- 2:44Speaker 4: weren't slouching? You were sitting up properly, sitting high enough
- 2:46Speaker 4: or sitting low enough, one of those. My dad's just
- 2:48Speaker 4: over here chilling.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So we should introduce our dads, right, you go first? Hello,
- 2:53Speaker 1: This is my dad? What's your name? Dad? Chazz?
- 2:58Speaker 2: Chazz?
- 2:59Speaker 1: There you go? How come you don't e spell it
- 3:01Speaker 1: with a Z more often? Dad? I think that makes
- 3:03Speaker 1: it cooler, you know what I mean? Cha z?
- 3:08Speaker 2: I don't because technically then it doesn't look like an
- 3:11Speaker 2: abbreviation for Charles because there's no Z in Charles.
- 3:15Speaker 4: It just becomes a nickname is not Charles, right, I
- 3:21Speaker 4: mean fair?
- 3:22Speaker 2: But well? And then in the was it in the
- 3:24Speaker 2: seventies or the eighties, there was a coolone that was
- 3:28Speaker 2: called Chaz.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Do you remember that? Then? I remember that?
- 3:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think I believe I don't remember if
- 3:34Speaker 2: that was Z or S on the end. I don't
- 3:37Speaker 2: know it, but yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 3: Sometimes people spell your name with the Z, and I
- 3:42Speaker 3: think that's pretty cool.
- 3:43Speaker 4: Jazz jazz jazz like a laser like I don't know,
- 3:48Speaker 4: it's got some.
- 3:51Speaker 1: Right anyway.
- 3:51Speaker 4: This is my dad, the original Becker. I guess you
- 3:54Speaker 4: call him Mike Becker, Mike my dad. What do you
- 3:57Speaker 4: want to be called today? I'll call you dad? But
- 3:59Speaker 4: what do you want these able to call you?
- 4:00Speaker 2: Mike?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Okay, Mike, Mike senior? You can do that. Didn't we
- 4:04Speaker 1: find out recently? Did that?
- 4:06Speaker 4: I wasn't a junior technically for like a moment, that's you.
- 4:09Speaker 4: That's your sister talking. Ye blame my sister for everything
- 4:13Speaker 4: since birth?
- 4:14Speaker 1: That's fine with me.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Man, I like Kelly, I will say, though, you know
- 4:18Speaker 3: Kelly moved to Florida. Now that's a little questionable of
- 4:20Speaker 3: all the stage to move to, I mean, Florida, that's
- 4:24Speaker 3: certainly a choice.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Well, Kelly's always been a wild idea kind of person, right,
- 4:28Speaker 4: kind of flying by the seat of her pants, going
- 4:29Speaker 4: with the flow. She made up her mind, she made
- 4:31Speaker 4: up her mind, and she just did it. So, uh,
- 4:34Speaker 4: looking back on it, who was easier?
- 4:36Speaker 1: Uh? When we were children, who was she more of
- 4:39Speaker 1: a wild child? Or was it me? You're you're both
- 4:44Speaker 1: even even.
- 4:45Speaker 5: And then when we go to the subject that the
- 4:47Speaker 5: favorite child, Yeah, okay, it's always a girl.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Probably know this, this big conflict. Yeah, it's a whole thing
- 4:53Speaker 1: that she has done. By the way, I.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Just love that anytime you get your parents here and
- 4:57Speaker 3: until you get your aunt, anytime anybody's here, there's always
- 5:00Speaker 3: the comparison of Hey, who.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Do you like better? Me or my sister? I like,
- 5:03Speaker 5: I like to know where I stand. Yeah, anyway, me
- 5:06Speaker 5: and you were doing something together. You're my favorite. Oh
- 5:09Speaker 5: Kelly Kelly was around. Yeah, see my favorite.
- 5:12Speaker 1: She left town and they were all together.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah, all the favorites. Yeah, that's fair and of course
- 5:19Speaker 5: your mom. Yeah, the top favorite.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Fair enough sometimes anyway, we're.
- 5:25Speaker 4: All with children, my poor dad. Now, thanks for being here, dad,
- 5:30Speaker 4: We appreciate it, and you as well, mister shy. Look
- 5:32Speaker 4: at all the dads are here. Yeah, all right, we're
- 5:35Speaker 4: doing it. It's a Father's Day episode. Do you want
- 5:37Speaker 4: to start the show? Yeah, sure, sure, I pressed the
- 5:39Speaker 4: star button. I don't know, are you even ready to
- 5:41Speaker 4: do anything?
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:42Speaker 4: I'm ready to you know what, again with the combats,
- 5:44Speaker 4: I'm just saying, you haven't been on yours.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I haven't been. Excuse me, what I haven't been? What?
- 5:49Speaker 1: Nothing was set up? Uh huh? People are waiting around here.
- 5:52Speaker 1: It's not like I sat around here and did nothing
- 5:54Speaker 1: all day. All right, let's start the show.
- 5:56Speaker 6: So Blazed and Confused Podcast with Becker and show the
- 6:00Speaker 6: Trivia podcast where Truth, Fury and THC glide. Let's spark
- 6:07Speaker 6: your curiosity and light up some knowledge. SOT Blazed and
- 6:12Speaker 6: Confused Podcast with Becker and Joel starts now.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Now, hello, how many episodes is this done? Fifty five?
- 6:21Speaker 6: Five?
- 6:22Speaker 1: Oh? Wow? About that? And our dads are here. It's
- 6:25Speaker 1: Father's Day.
- 6:26Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm Becker. That's Joel. Yeah, Joel's dad, my dad.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Thanks for being here.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:31Speaker 4: So when you guys were here last time, you couldn't
- 6:33Speaker 4: hear like all the sound effects going on. So I
- 6:35Speaker 4: hope you find it's much more interesting now that you're like,
- 6:38Speaker 4: they have involved and you have headphones on. You can
- 6:40Speaker 4: see how we're running there. They were spectators in the
- 6:42Speaker 4: Mother's Day episode. Yeah, but now the roles have reversed
- 6:45Speaker 4: and the fathers are here for the Father's da episode.
- 6:47Speaker 1: See what we're doing. Yeah, again, we know what we're doing. Yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Do you think you guys will ever come back and
- 6:52Speaker 1: do this again? Wow? Well it comes around once a
- 6:56Speaker 1: year possibly.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Okay, all right.
- 6:59Speaker 3: By the way, if you to know the schedule of
- 7:01Speaker 3: events for the podcast, here it is here it is.
- 7:03Speaker 7: Do you maybe want to wrap up the show with
- 7:05Speaker 7: those questions that they write for us, like while we're
- 7:08Speaker 7: eating our snack or something like that.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Oh, you asshole, I hate you so much because I
- 7:15Speaker 3: didn't know where that was from until right now. Because
- 7:17Speaker 3: let me tell you a story. Becker's new way of
- 7:19Speaker 3: communicating with me drives me insane because instead of texting me,
- 7:23Speaker 3: he decides that he's going to talk into his phone
- 7:26Speaker 3: and send me voice memos, which, by the way, let
- 7:29Speaker 3: me just let me just tell you what. I don't
- 7:31Speaker 3: ever listen to him. I listen. I never listened to
- 7:34Speaker 3: the audio of them. I just read on the screen
- 7:36Speaker 3: what it says. Ah, fair enough. So it's just still
- 7:38Speaker 3: like texting. Why can't you just type out them? I
- 7:40Speaker 3: was busy this morning. We were texting.
- 7:41Speaker 4: We're talking about the podcast, and I was getting ready
- 7:43Speaker 4: for a meeting, I know, And I was just trying
- 7:45Speaker 4: to say something very quickly so I can get my
- 7:47Speaker 4: point across and move up, move on.
- 7:49Speaker 3: You know, why do people do that now? It's like
- 7:50Speaker 3: a new way of communicating. It's like a walkie talkie.
- 7:53Speaker 4: I was literally walking and talking. I was trying to
- 7:56Speaker 4: get it over with.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Don't you think it'd be better than just to wait
- 7:59Speaker 1: to text? You know what I mean? No, I don't know.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I don't know who knows with you. Sometimes i'll text you,
- 8:06Speaker 1: I won't hear from you for a month and a half.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Half.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I know I'm not a good texter. I know. Does
- 8:12Speaker 1: he text you guys back immediately?
- 8:16Speaker 2: He's not bad.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Actually, Well, with your parents, it's a little different, all right, fine, right,
- 8:21Speaker 1: you would agree, right?
- 8:22Speaker 4: Yes, Okay, I guess I'm okay at doing it. Sometimes
- 8:25Speaker 4: I don't pay attention to my phone, like I really don't.
- 8:28Speaker 4: But am I good at texting back?
- 8:30Speaker 2: You do?
- 8:30Speaker 1: I usually like to call, right, I'm much more of
- 8:32Speaker 1: a call talker. Would you ever send your parents a
- 8:36Speaker 1: voice memo text message? Do you even know what I'm
- 8:38Speaker 1: talking about? Dad? Like? What a voice memo is?
- 8:40Speaker 2: Sure?
- 8:41Speaker 3: Okay, okay, yeah, I don't know. This is like a
- 8:43Speaker 3: lot of people like to communicate like this. Now, I
- 8:45Speaker 3: don't get it. It's a new fad. I don't mean now.
- 8:49Speaker 3: I know you don't like it.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I'm not going to do it anymore, especially knowing that
- 8:52Speaker 4: you're probably gonna use it on the show.
- 8:54Speaker 1: So, uh, you.
- 8:55Speaker 7: Maybe want to wrap up the show with those questions
- 8:58Speaker 7: that they write for us, like while we're eating our
- 9:01Speaker 7: snack or something like that.
- 9:02Speaker 3: All right, So here's what we're gonna do, by the way,
- 9:03Speaker 3: in case you guys haven't caught on yet, at the
- 9:05Speaker 3: end of the show, we're going to wrap it up
- 9:07Speaker 3: by eating our snacks and then the questions that you brought.
- 9:10Speaker 1: That's when we're gonna do those. All right, You maybe
- 9:13Speaker 1: want to turn it off. I don't like it.
- 9:15Speaker 7: Questions that they're right for us that snack or something
- 9:19Speaker 7: like that.
- 9:19Speaker 2: That's that's good for the archives though. It's good for
- 9:23Speaker 2: the I'm gonna do it every day.
- 9:27Speaker 1: But you mean, like, if you're talking about something sensitive,
- 9:30Speaker 1: then at least you can go back and forth. Well, honestly,
- 9:33Speaker 1: I think that if you don't have your settings right,
- 9:35Speaker 1: it automatically like deletes those those your phone because it
- 9:38Speaker 1: takes up you have to hit like keyp or it
- 9:40Speaker 1: takes up a lot of space on your phone, so
- 9:42Speaker 1: it automatically deletes them. But I don't know, I feel
- 9:45Speaker 1: weird like sending those back.
- 9:47Speaker 4: You don't have to. It's just me like on the move,
- 9:49Speaker 4: trying to get my point across. And you know, let
- 9:53Speaker 4: me ask you, you were super whiny. I was just trying
- 9:55Speaker 4: to be you know, I don't know. He was so
- 9:58Speaker 4: so bitchy all the time. Listen, which what does he
- 10:00Speaker 4: get it from? Well, I'm glad you're.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Here, Yeah, geez, Look at my mom's point, my dad,
- 10:08Speaker 1: I just have a I have a limited temper, yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: especially as of recently. Let's just leave it at dead anyway.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You know who doesn't have a temper? My dad? Yeah?
- 10:17Speaker 5: Really ever impressed you're very cool. I'll get I'll get angry. Yeah,
- 10:22Speaker 5: but I don't. You don't react.
- 10:23Speaker 4: There's no reason for it anymore in my age. Yeah yeah,
- 10:27Speaker 4: if we learn anything, it's quite calm and collected. So
- 10:31Speaker 4: you never see your dad freak out. Really, in my memory,
- 10:33Speaker 4: my dad's always been very nice and Jill chill and
- 10:36Speaker 4: all my friends think he's super kind and wonderful. So, yeah, Dad,
- 10:40Speaker 4: I'd like to say the same about you.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But I don't know.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I was waiting for the punch. Here it is.
- 10:48Speaker 1: We had to have some kind of segue.
- 10:51Speaker 2: I tried, man, that's all.
- 10:53Speaker 1: It's all good. Yeah, yeah, it's all good. It is.
- 10:57Speaker 3: I blame our Pennsylvania Dutch heritage for the short fuse, right,
- 11:00Speaker 3: don't you think it's a hereditary It's not our fault.
- 11:03Speaker 2: No, we were born with it.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a shame. You just straight German or Pennsylvania. Yeah,
- 11:10Speaker 1: straight up.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Well my mom my mom was Windish, which I believe
- 11:15Speaker 2: is uh let me ask Joel what is Windish?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Actually I might know this, go ahead.
- 11:21Speaker 3: I think it's uh, well, it's like a mutt breed
- 11:24Speaker 3: of people. First off, I mean, okay, yeah, really, it's
- 11:27Speaker 3: like a little bit of everything Hungarian.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, actually didn't know what that word meant. Isn't there
- 11:32Speaker 1: a little Polish in there or something?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Probably? Yeah?
- 11:36Speaker 1: Dad, what are we like? Do you know what Polish
- 11:38Speaker 1: in me? Polish for sure? Yeah? What else? Anything else
- 11:41Speaker 1: on your side? Maybe a little German? German? What about?
- 11:45Speaker 1: Moms have a mutt, That's what she says.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I know we've got a bit of Jewish in
- 11:52Speaker 4: our blood too, on my mom's side.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true too. Yeah, so tough speaking in.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Jewish, I dj my very is Jewish wedding over the weekend. Yes,
- 12:02Speaker 3: at a at a beautiful summer camp, interesting in rural,
- 12:07Speaker 3: very rural Pennsylvania, closer to upstate New cabins and stuff
- 12:10Speaker 3: like cabins and stuff, Oh my god, like everything like
- 12:13Speaker 3: a kid's dream, honestly, Tennis courts, basketball courts, football field,
- 12:17Speaker 3: a golf course, a movie theater, nice archery, a big
- 12:21Speaker 3: giant pool, I mean, canoes, kayaks, the whole nine.
- 12:25Speaker 1: It was.
- 12:25Speaker 3: It was just beautiful, beautiful, probably like a six figure wedding, right,
- 12:28Speaker 3: but beautiful Jewish wedding at a summer camp. Summer camp
- 12:32Speaker 3: just so happened to be called I'm gonna name drop them.

- 13:10Speaker 3: the cocktail hour, I'm sitting there looking around. Again, it's
- 13:12Speaker 3: like a beautiful day too. These people lucked out picture
- 13:15Speaker 3: perfect day. And I'm sitting there and I'm thinking, Man,
- 13:17Speaker 3: this really is a kid's dream. This must be a
- 13:20Speaker 3: bajillion dollars lo and behold, I start googling. Yeah, it's well,
- 13:23Speaker 3: not quite a bajillion dollars.
- 13:25Speaker 1: It's like eighteen thousand dollars per camp or per summer,
- 13:29Speaker 1: and it's like a seven week wow camp, like you know,
- 13:32Speaker 1: sleep sleep Away. Yeah.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Yeah, do you ever go to one of those I

- 13:43Speaker 4: seven weeks. Probably didn't want to go.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Seven weeks is a long time. I mean I went
- 13:46Speaker 3: to like the I went to some summer programs camp.
- 13:50Speaker 3: It's like a week at a time, you know, not
- 13:51Speaker 3: seven weeks.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Yeah, church church camp.
- 13:55Speaker 1: Went to church camp. Did you go to one when
- 13:57Speaker 1: you were a kiddad No? Never, never, No.
- 14:00Speaker 2: You told that story when you cracked your head on
- 14:02Speaker 2: the chimney at a fireplace.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, we all love to Yeah, don't shake your head man, true,
- 14:07Speaker 3: we all love to tell the story. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 14:11Speaker 3: I bashed my head into a fireplace.
- 14:12Speaker 1: It explains like why was that again? Because I farted
- 14:15Speaker 1: on a kid.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Church camp.
- 14:18Speaker 1: There you go, man, you need that campez blazed and confused,
- 14:23Speaker 1: random thoughts, super quick plug.
- 14:27Speaker 4: My friend Kevin Kraft like he wrote it and directed
- 14:29Speaker 4: a movie and it just came out recently. It's called
- 14:31Speaker 4: the Second Coming of John Cooper Joel Get your Mind
- 14:34Speaker 4: out of the Gutter, The Second Coming of John Cooper.
- 14:37Speaker 1: But it's available now.
- 14:38Speaker 4: You can rent or buy it on Amazon Prime, Google TV,
- 14:40Speaker 4: and Fandango at home.
- 14:41Speaker 1: So check it out. It's very good. There you go.
- 14:43Speaker 4: He comes twice. Yes, all right, second coming? Our parents
- 14:46Speaker 4: are all right? What did you What did you think
- 14:49Speaker 4: about this week?
- 14:49Speaker 1: Anything? What did I think about? Yeah?
- 14:52Speaker 3: I thought about a lot, but yet nothing. You know,
- 14:54Speaker 3: don't you hit them. I did get my yard landscape today. Yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 3: and you know, here's the like, I'm paying a decent
- 15:01Speaker 3: chunk of change to have my yard landscaped. Would you
- 15:04Speaker 3: feel bad sitting and watching them do it? Because it's
- 15:08Speaker 3: very because we were you like shouting things out like
- 15:11Speaker 3: oh no, no, no, no, not at all. And honestly,
- 15:13Speaker 3: this guy was I don't want to say he was proactive,
- 15:15Speaker 3: but that sounds bad. He came up to me early
- 15:18Speaker 3: on and he said, listen, if we miss anything, or
- 15:20Speaker 3: if you see anything, let us know and we'll fix it.
- 15:22Speaker 1: It's like, I'm not going to tell you that even
- 15:23Speaker 1: if I see that you miss something, I'm not going
- 15:24Speaker 1: to tell you like that. I'm not going to be
- 15:26Speaker 1: that person, you know, But I want to sit and
- 15:28Speaker 1: watch for a reason, no, none other than it's like
- 15:32Speaker 1: very satisfying to see your yard go from nothing to something.
- 15:35Speaker 1: You know, yeah, it's something now, it's definitely something. I
- 15:39Speaker 1: just I don't know. I feel bad, so I would
- 15:42Speaker 1: like peek out the window and then you know.
- 15:45Speaker 4: You gotta do what you gotta do. Oh yeah, you're
- 15:46Speaker 4: paying for it. You want to make sure it's to
- 15:47Speaker 4: your liking. Now, if they were doing something kind of
- 15:50Speaker 4: not right or to your you know, specifications, would you
- 15:52Speaker 4: have walked out and you were like, actually, can you
- 15:55Speaker 4: would you mind getting that?
- 15:57Speaker 1: No?
- 15:57Speaker 4: No, no, I know no, because you're just I don't
- 15:59Speaker 4: know what I'm doing either. You're a supervised they know
- 16:01Speaker 4: better than I do.
- 16:02Speaker 1: Are you kidding me?
- 16:02Speaker 3: I said, listen, whatever you do today, it's going to
- 16:04Speaker 3: look better than it did. And that's all I care about.
- 16:06Speaker 3: So I'll be an easy customer. Just do whatever.
- 16:09Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:09Speaker 1: The thing is all day long.
- 16:11Speaker 3: I was here all day and they kept bringing my
- 16:12Speaker 3: doorbell and asking me questions, you want to strip this out?
- 16:15Speaker 3: What should we do with this? And I'm like, listen,
- 16:17Speaker 3: I don't really care, I don't know, do whatever. I
- 16:20Speaker 3: don't really care. You know, a lot of the stuff
- 16:22Speaker 3: they found was dead, so we tore out a lot
- 16:25Speaker 3: of stuff, but yard work.
- 16:26Speaker 1: I tried good.
- 16:27Speaker 4: It's coming along I tried to do some of it myself.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Not a yard work guy. I don't think I can be.
- 16:32Speaker 4: I mean, you know, not much of a manual labor
- 16:35Speaker 4: kind of guy. Huh, that makes me sound like a
- 16:37Speaker 4: prick bag. Though, a prick bag it's a new term.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Well I like that.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Do you like that one? Yeah? It's a good one.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Isn't it a voice memo team? A bag of pricks? Okay? Yeah? Anyway?
- 16:49Speaker 1: What else?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Oh, our friend Mike, his gazebo got all banged up
- 16:52Speaker 4: because I guess his neighbor was having a tree like trimmed.
- 16:57Speaker 4: They were a triminous tree. Anyway, a big branch came
- 17:01Speaker 4: down onto his property and like just smashed his gazebo.
- 17:04Speaker 4: But like, the guy's not taking responsibility for it, like
- 17:07Speaker 4: he will not pay for it. He will, and his
- 17:10Speaker 4: neighbor won't do anything about it either. Like, so now
- 17:12Speaker 4: Mike just has a gazebo that's smashed, yeah, and who's
- 17:16Speaker 4: gonna replace it?
- 17:17Speaker 1: So let me get this straight. So the gazebo was
- 17:19Speaker 1: on his property, yeah, and the tree was on his
- 17:22Speaker 1: neighbor's property, and I guess his neighbor was paying to
- 17:25Speaker 1: have a tree either. Removed or cut down or whatever.
- 17:27Speaker 3: They were just trimming back and a part of the
- 17:30Speaker 3: tree fell on the neighbor's gazebo yep, and busted his gazebo.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, who pays for that? Who pays for it?
- 17:38Speaker 1: I don't know. It's like, do you take him to court?
- 17:40Speaker 4: And it's gonna cost him a lot more money, you know,
- 17:42Speaker 4: to take him to court, probably versus what it's worth.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You know.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Again, a guy saw this, It's like, man, why take
- 17:48Speaker 3: this stuff on? I know I'm gonna be nice, but
- 17:51Speaker 3: why take this stuff online? I would never post that
- 17:54Speaker 3: on the Why why do you got to post that online?
- 17:57Speaker 3: Facebook and social media has become a forum for people
- 17:59Speaker 3: to just complain, plain about whatever they wanted.
- 18:02Speaker 1: No, ask him, why are you putting that kind of
- 18:05Speaker 1: shit up there?
- 18:06Speaker 3: I mean, I know he's trying to get other people's opinion,
- 18:10Speaker 3: but you know what I mean, Yeah, I don't know
- 18:13Speaker 3: who does pay for that?
- 18:14Speaker 1: Though? It is a good question. Got to go him.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Apparently he's like, I don't want to.
- 18:17Speaker 3: If I take him to court, I'm just gonna have
- 18:19Speaker 3: to spend more money and I could just buy anyone
- 18:21Speaker 3: for two.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Hundred fifty dollars. You know, all this for two hundred
- 18:24Speaker 4: and fifty dollars. I know, I get it, though I'd
- 18:27Speaker 4: be pissed off too. Yeah, I don't know the fact
- 18:30Speaker 4: that nobody wants to step up at all. You know,
- 18:33Speaker 4: I think is my grape suburban Pennsylvania issues. I tell you, Yeah,
- 18:37Speaker 4: who's going to fix the gazebo?
- 18:39Speaker 1: Anyway? Random thoughts, Random thought.
- 18:41Speaker 4: I dispute over the smell of a microwave fish in
- 18:43Speaker 4: a break room led to a former Myrtle Beach detective
- 18:46Speaker 4: to point his handgun at another officer over the smell
- 18:49Speaker 4: of fish. People used to do that at the office
- 18:51Speaker 4: years ago. They used to microwave fish. It was disgusting.
- 18:54Speaker 4: I might have been one of them at one point,
- 18:56Speaker 4: but I didn't do it like continuously, like Steph used
- 18:58Speaker 4: to do it anything.
- 19:00Speaker 1: She used to bring fish in the office park. Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I think she was what I did it.
- 19:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I kind of vaguely remember that. I think that
- 19:05Speaker 3: should be outlawed across the board. I think it should be.
- 19:07Speaker 3: It's pretty foul. So now, what's the story that this
- 19:10Speaker 3: dude there was an altercation about it. It smelled really
- 19:13Speaker 3: bad and the guy got really pissed off about it,
- 19:14Speaker 3: pulls and pulled his gun out and pointed as a
- 19:17Speaker 3: fellow officer in Myrtle.
- 19:19Speaker 4: Beach and Myrtle Beach, Yeah, in Myrtle Beach. Yeah, anyway,
- 19:23Speaker 4: it's like down south. You know, you want microwave fish,
- 19:26Speaker 4: though you don't eat fish. I'm not eating fish as
- 19:29Speaker 4: it is. Yeah, that's was He always like that, like
- 19:32Speaker 4: an eater when he was growing up. It was just
- 19:34Speaker 4: like typical.
- 19:37Speaker 1: About it.
- 19:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he's asking me, not you.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, but you don't eat fish either, Go ahead, I
- 19:42Speaker 4: hate it. I do you like fish, don't you? No?
- 19:47Speaker 1: No, clams would be it, or lobsters. We're not really
- 19:52Speaker 1: croud or anything like that. But when I was growing up,
- 19:54Speaker 1: you know, I liked what what kind of fish did
- 19:56Speaker 1: I like? Growing up?
- 19:58Speaker 4: It was a haddock that it was really like her flounder. Yeah,
- 20:02Speaker 4: it's barely fish. What do you mean it's a fish?
- 20:04Speaker 4: It's like fried bullshit, that's barely fish. It's a fish though,
- 20:07Speaker 4: that's one big giant fish dick. That's barely fish. That's
- 20:10Speaker 4: all it is.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Really. That's the coat. The coating is okay on them
- 20:14Speaker 2: most of the time.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, See, like if I would eat fish. I'd
- 20:17Speaker 3: eat that too, like fried Haddock. That's that's not bad.
- 20:20Speaker 3: But anyway, I'm gonna tell some stories from our past. Dad,
- 20:23Speaker 3: did you come and eat with any stories from my childhood?
- 20:25Speaker 3: Wait a second, I thought we were going to do
- 20:27Speaker 3: that at the end. Now we have trivia at the end.
- 20:30Speaker 7: Yeah, do you maybe want to show stop playing this
- 20:34Speaker 7: questions like while we're eating our snack or something like that.
- 20:38Speaker 1: So save those till the end. You're stupid. Is it
- 20:40Speaker 1: trivia time? Yeah, let's do that. All right, we're doing
- 20:43Speaker 1: trivia time.
- 20:43Speaker 3: So we're the last episode, when we had our Mom's on,
- 20:46Speaker 3: we didn't do our regular trivia. But this week we're
- 20:48Speaker 3: going to change it up. Yeah, so we'll go to
- 20:50Speaker 3: our dads for lifelines. What should we be able to
- 20:53Speaker 3: go to our own dads? I think we should be
- 20:55Speaker 3: able to get go to them each once. Okay, all right,
- 20:58Speaker 3: so we have double life. Yeah, I know you hate that,
- 21:01Speaker 3: but two lifelines with four questions.
- 21:05Speaker 4: If we don't get at least fifty percent correct, oh,
- 21:08Speaker 4: we're all kind of screwed.
- 21:09Speaker 1: This should be easy this week. All right, all right,
- 21:11Speaker 1: who's going first? I'll go first. I'll ask you a question.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Number one.
- 21:18Speaker 4: All right, what food was found in three thousand year
- 21:22Speaker 4: old Egyptian pyramids and was still edible?
- 21:31Speaker 1: Like, honey, is the only thing that would make sense?
- 21:34Speaker 3: Right?
- 21:34Speaker 1: Isn't that supposed to be the only food that lasts forever?
- 21:39Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know.
- 21:41Speaker 4: I'm not going to give you the answer. They think
- 21:45Speaker 4: it's okay. What do you think, dad? Do you think
- 21:47Speaker 4: he's got he's onto the right track, because I don't think.
- 21:49Speaker 2: He is going with the consensus here.
- 21:51Speaker 5: Yes, I think all right, yeah, if you try to
- 21:53Speaker 5: steer me in the rug, tip, I'm not doing anything.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Well, I'm trying to think what else it would be? Honey? Honey?
- 21:58Speaker 4: What food was found in three thousand year old Egyptian
- 22:01Speaker 4: pyramids and was still edible?
- 22:03Speaker 1: Yeah? It's gotta be honey.
- 22:05Speaker 3: Fuck?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Hell yeah, sorry to cris in front of you, Dad.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I never christed in front.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Of you when I was growing up, No problem, No, No,
- 22:14Speaker 4: did you Christ in front of your parents?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh? Yeah?
- 22:18Speaker 3: Right after he popped out? From day one? I think
- 22:23Speaker 3: that's also hereditary. There fought her question too.
- 22:28Speaker 1: What marketing name did P. T.
- 22:30Speaker 4: Barnum use for his traveling circus starting in eighteen seventy one.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Jeez, well, a couple things. I wasn't around in eighteen
- 22:38Speaker 1: seventy one. Sure, dad, No, Dad, were you you could
- 22:45Speaker 1: help me?
- 22:45Speaker 3: No, I was not around in eighteen seventy one. I
- 22:49Speaker 3: don't know who held PF.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Barnum Is P T. Barnum, p T. Barmby, Preling Brothers,
- 22:54Speaker 1: Barnum and Bailey. Yeah. Oh, I just gave away tickets
- 22:57Speaker 1: to that on my radio show. Cool you know the
- 23:02Speaker 1: do you know it? Okay? Sure, all right, I'll go
- 23:04Speaker 1: marketing name did P. T.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Barnum use for his traveling circus starting in eighteen seventy one.
- 23:08Speaker 1: I'll go to my lifeline all right?
- 23:10Speaker 2: Are you sure?
- 23:10Speaker 1: I mean yeah, you don't have any idea?
- 23:12Speaker 2: No, because I think it was called the greatest show
- 23:15Speaker 2: on Earth?
- 23:18Speaker 1: Final answer. Oh, I've been saying that on the air too,
- 23:20Speaker 1: I've been I said that a couple of times. Yeah,
- 23:23Speaker 1: you got it right, Oh, really good job. Yeah. Apparently
- 23:26Speaker 1: this circus though apparently the circus anymore doesn't have animals. Yeah,
- 23:31Speaker 1: because they keep attacking people, right, I guess. I don't know.
- 23:34Speaker 1: It's just a bunch of people like jumping around and shit,
- 23:38Speaker 1: I'd rather watch deer on trampolines, probably right, fake AI videos.
- 23:43Speaker 1: It's more entertaining than the Greatest Show on Earth with
- 23:45Speaker 1: no animals anybody real anyway? Yeah, anyway, it's just a
- 23:48Speaker 1: couple of trampolines, you know, and they put like the
- 23:50Speaker 1: big hula hoops on their arm and they swing them
- 23:52Speaker 1: all around and juggle and shit.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah, but you don't want to pay sixty bucks to
- 23:58Speaker 2: see that though. Well, they served me at the circus.
- 24:02Speaker 3: I had to confirm, But yes, wow, actually, you know
- 24:04Speaker 3: it's funny.
- 24:05Speaker 1: I asked chat Ept that before I went on the air,
- 24:08Speaker 1: I decided to give away tickets to the circus, and
- 24:10Speaker 1: before I want go jump on the air, I have
- 24:13Speaker 1: to hit chatchupt first and say, hey, did they serve beer?
- 24:18Speaker 1: Chat Ept said yes, so hopefully.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Years ago, my friends would only go somewhere if they
- 24:22Speaker 4: had beer. They're like, wait, do they have beer? I'm like,
- 24:24Speaker 4: I don't know. It's like if not, we'll just drink
- 24:25Speaker 4: it outside in the parking lot like a bunch of
- 24:27Speaker 4: responsible adults.
- 24:28Speaker 1: There you go, and that's what we did. Greatest Show
- 24:30Speaker 1: on Earth. I'm on a roll too.
- 24:31Speaker 3: Next one's about sports, so you may but my dad's
- 24:34Speaker 3: he's very knowledgeable at sports too.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Okay, all right, question three?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Okay, did you notice that both our dads speaking of
- 24:41Speaker 3: sports came dressed in Philly shirts.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 24:43Speaker 4: How unfortunate Philly's fam. Here we go in American baseball? Oh, right,
- 24:48Speaker 4: is the seventh inning stretch at the top in the middle?
- 24:52Speaker 4: We're at the bottom of the seventh inning? Ooh, that's
- 24:55Speaker 4: a good question.
- 24:57Speaker 1: See, I know I could go to my lifeline, but
- 24:59Speaker 1: I kind of to figure it out myself because that's
- 25:01Speaker 1: when they sing, take me out to the ball game.
- 25:03Speaker 1: That's right, buy me some peanuts and cracker dress. I
- 25:06Speaker 1: think my dad knows it. He definitely knows it.
- 25:09Speaker 3: I know, I know wants to save you, just in
- 25:12Speaker 3: case I want.
- 25:12Speaker 1: The satisfaction of figure it out on my own.
- 25:14Speaker 4: In American baseball, is the seventh inning stretch at the
- 25:18Speaker 4: top in the middle or at the bottom of the
- 25:19Speaker 4: seventh thing.
- 25:20Speaker 1: Tells me it's at the top. I feel like it's
- 25:21Speaker 1: at the top. Don't look at them. Don't look at
- 25:23Speaker 1: them since you don't want to use those.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Oh yeah, suddenly I can't look around the room anymore.
- 25:30Speaker 3: The seventh inning stretch. Yeah, I'm in mister Becker I'll take.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Your lifeline in the middle, in the middle. Is it
- 25:40Speaker 1: really in the middle? Final answer? And is that really
- 25:44Speaker 1: all that is? Is that they sing take me onto
- 25:46Speaker 1: the well. That's all the seventh inning stretch and tails
- 25:48Speaker 1: right stretch. Yeah, you're supposed to stretch. You probably just
- 25:52Speaker 1: get beer. Yeah, I mean, wasn't that when they stopped
- 25:54Speaker 1: serving beer normally it's seventh inning. I don't know stadiums
- 25:57Speaker 1: do that. Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 4: See yeah, an American baseball is the seventh inning stretch
- 26:02Speaker 4: at the top, in the middle or at the bottom
- 26:04Speaker 4: of the seventh inning.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Oh, I'm gonna say middle. You got it, mister Becker,
- 26:09Speaker 1: Thank you very much. You got it.
- 26:11Speaker 3: It's really just a marketing scheme, isn't it. It's just
- 26:13Speaker 3: so the stadium can make some money. Probably the seventh
- 26:16Speaker 3: inning stretch sponsored by.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, which
- 26:20Speaker 1: we got quarter billion dollars for.
- 26:22Speaker 3: Yeah, and I wonder how much, uh, their sales of
- 26:26Speaker 3: what do they called the crackerjacks. I wonder what the
- 26:28Speaker 3: sales go up with every time they play that, they're like,
- 26:29Speaker 3: oh wait, I should probably get some cracker jacks now.
- 26:32Speaker 3: That they're singing about it.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Buy me some peanuts sponsored by platter Crack or Jack
- 26:38Speaker 1: sponsored bike. But unfortunately there's no more peanuts, No more peanuts. No,
- 26:42Speaker 1: why not because everybody's allergic to him? Everyone. We talked
- 26:46Speaker 1: about that the last game we went to, did we Oh,
- 26:48Speaker 1: it's right, we did talk about that. See. It's just
- 26:50Speaker 1: like when you go to McDonald's anymore and you get
- 26:52Speaker 1: the Sunday they don't give you the little peanuts in
- 26:54Speaker 1: the bag anymore. Yeah, well jeez, I get it though,
- 26:57Speaker 1: But you know what it's like, there is no cross contamination.
- 27:00Speaker 3: If the peanuts are sealed in the bag, that can't
- 27:02Speaker 3: cause that many problems.
- 27:03Speaker 1: Some people can't handle their nuts, you know, don't you
- 27:06Speaker 1: hate that? It's a problem, isn't it?
- 27:10Speaker 2: Anyway?
- 27:14Speaker 1: All right? What is the main ingredient in glass? The
- 27:22Speaker 1: main ingredient in glass? What's it made from?
- 27:27Speaker 6: Man?
- 27:28Speaker 3: This is bad too, because you know, I was like
- 27:29Speaker 3: when I was in high school, I was in Italy
- 27:31Speaker 3: and we're sitting in Venice, and we sat through a
- 27:34Speaker 3: couple of glass blowing demonstrations and we definitely learned how
- 27:36Speaker 3: glass was made and what it was made out of.
- 27:38Speaker 3: I have no freaking ida. What is glass made out of?
- 27:41Speaker 2: What is it?
- 27:42Speaker 1: What's the main ingredient? Is that? What is the main
- 27:44Speaker 1: ingredient in glass? Can't be like water? Can it? Does
- 27:51Speaker 1: anybody know it?
- 27:52Speaker 2: No?
- 27:54Speaker 1: No, daddy, isn't kind of a resin. No. See. I
- 27:58Speaker 1: love how you said I don't have any lifelines. And
- 27:59Speaker 1: now you're look somebody know it.
- 28:01Speaker 4: Well, it seems you don't know it at all. Here
- 28:03Speaker 4: we want as we'll see what the crowd's thinking here.
- 28:05Speaker 1: The main ingredient in glass? I mean, yes, hydrogen, oxygen.
- 28:11Speaker 4: No, it's a it's a thing. It's uranium, it's it's no, No,
- 28:14Speaker 4: it's not a gas. I heard your radar is pretty
- 28:17Speaker 4: hot right now. There's a lot of talk about uranium
- 28:20Speaker 4: and rich kind m. I don't know anything about that.
- 28:23Speaker 1: Yeah you do. It's the nuclear stuff from my rail.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 1: They're not allowed to have a weapon. No, they can't
- 28:28Speaker 1: have one. And I this who's sang that song like
- 28:35Speaker 1: back of Seagulls?
- 28:36Speaker 4: What is the ingredient in glass? Good one?
- 28:41Speaker 1: I don't know. It's sand. Really are you sure about that? Ye?
- 28:47Speaker 4: Ask ask the internet. It's all learning confirmed something again, that's.
- 28:51Speaker 1: All right, I trust you sand is the main ingredient
- 28:55Speaker 1: in glass like beach sand sand? Yeah? Does all sand
- 29:01Speaker 1: come from the beach?
- 29:04Speaker 4: I can't answer that, but the story, well think about it.
- 29:07Speaker 4: Just sand in the desert. Yeah, but there's sand in
- 29:09Speaker 4: the ocean too. Yeah, there's no beach in the desert.
- 29:14Speaker 3: All I'm saying is all I'm saying is when you
- 29:16Speaker 3: go to the store and you buy sand in a bag,
- 29:18Speaker 3: where's the sand coming from?
- 29:20Speaker 4: Where's it coming from? I don't know that answer. Is
- 29:22Speaker 4: it coming from a factory or is it coming from
- 29:24Speaker 4: I don't know the answer. Let's look it up. Should
- 29:26Speaker 4: I look it up?
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Okay? Where does sand come from? Where?
- 29:28Speaker 2: Sand from?
- 29:29Speaker 1: Store bought?
- 29:30Speaker 3: Sand primarily comes from quarries, where large rocks like quartz
- 29:35Speaker 3: are blasted from the earth, crushed and washed to create
- 29:38Speaker 3: various grain sizes. Some sand is also dredged from ancient
- 29:43Speaker 3: river beds, glacial deposits, or coastal environments before being bagged
- 29:51Speaker 3: by retailers.
- 29:53Speaker 1: There you go, all right, thank you very much. Look
- 29:55Speaker 1: at this again, very very educational podcast. As you learn
- 29:58Speaker 1: a lot here, learn a lot, don't you? And what
- 30:00Speaker 1: are you gonna ask me some bullshit? Yeah? I have
- 30:02Speaker 1: a lot of bullshit. I think I have good bullshit though.
- 30:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, dad, stand by question number one.
- 30:12Speaker 1: All right, I'm gonna start with a very easy music question.
- 30:14Speaker 1: You could definitely go to the lifelines and get this
- 30:17Speaker 1: probably if you had to, but I want you to
- 30:20Speaker 1: try genuinely to answer it by yourself. You might know it. Okay,
- 30:22Speaker 1: have you seen Michael Jackson movie yet? Not yet. I'm
- 30:25Speaker 1: gonna ask you about Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson's huge right now?
- 30:27Speaker 3: Okay, Jewish wedding over the week, and I told you
- 30:29Speaker 3: I had an hour and a half opened answing. I
- 30:31Speaker 3: played three Michael Jackson songs in an hour and a half.
- 30:33Speaker 1: He was pretty Jewish? So was he really?
- 30:35Speaker 2: No?
- 30:37Speaker 1: All right, let's go. Actually, I think Michael Jackson was
- 30:44Speaker 1: a Jehovah witness, wasn't he? I don't know, was he? Yeah? Okay,
- 30:49Speaker 1: you know that very occasional. You're learning a lot about
- 30:53Speaker 1: Sam and Michael. Michael Jackson not Jewish Jehovah witness. All right,
- 31:01Speaker 1: Speaking of Michael Jackson, what guitarist notably performed on the
- 31:06Speaker 1: Michael Jackson song beat it? I do know, but I
- 31:10Speaker 1: can't think of it. I'm not going to think of
- 31:11Speaker 1: his name. Hold on me. I know this is welcome
- 31:14Speaker 1: to my life. I know it, and I can't think
- 31:17Speaker 1: of it. Evidently you don't know it. Jazz help me, please?
- 31:21Speaker 2: Are you gonna use it?
- 31:22Speaker 1: I have to?
- 31:22Speaker 2: Yeah, that better be Eddie Van Halen. Yeah, that's it.
- 31:31Speaker 2: For the second I thought it was Slash. It's not Slash.
- 31:34Speaker 4: I would have known that. No, no, no, I did
- 31:37Speaker 4: know that. It was just back here somewhere.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Isn't there a joke about Michael Jackson and beat It?
- 31:41Speaker 1: Isn't that like some I don't even remember what it is.
- 31:44Speaker 1: I'm asking genuinely, I don't remember. Probably, how does Michael
- 31:48Speaker 1: Jackson next one? He beats his.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Question too?
- 31:57Speaker 1: Okay, all right, we should go see that theaters by
- 32:00Speaker 1: the way, loud.
- 32:02Speaker 3: System, nothing about that tickles my fancy. As they say,
- 32:07Speaker 3: it's cheaper to eat the popcorn at home if I
- 32:09Speaker 3: pay nineteen dollars for popcorn when you could have a
- 32:11Speaker 3: bag popcorn from Orvial Reddenbacher from the comfort of the couch,
- 32:15Speaker 3: sponsor our podcast orble Reddenbacker. Yeah, that is really the
- 32:19Speaker 3: best popcorn.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 32:20Speaker 1: Is that what you buy? That's all I ever buy? Really? Yep?
- 32:23Speaker 4: Yeah, what's it called again orvile Reddenbacker? Yeah, we should
- 32:26Speaker 4: have them sponsor our podcast.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Better than the pop Secret.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I agree. Let's go to world capitals. This is a
- 32:32Speaker 3: tough question. What's the capital in New Zealand?
- 32:38Speaker 5: Fucking no, dude, Dad could be Auckland.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Auckland. I'm gonna go with that. Auckland.
- 32:49Speaker 3: Yeah, Wellington Wellington is Wellington, you know, you know, like
- 32:58Speaker 3: beef Wellington. Oh yeah, it's not beef Ackland.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Not beef. You ever have beef Wellington?
- 33:05Speaker 6: No?
- 33:05Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 33:06Speaker 3: It's like when the slab of beef is wrapped with
- 33:08Speaker 3: the pastry.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Isn't that what beef Wellington is?
- 33:12Speaker 4: That sounds disgusting that it's like prime red but it
- 33:17Speaker 4: has like a you know, like a.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Like a pop tart. No, no, it's not. The whole
- 33:22Speaker 1: thing is wrapped though. It's just the outer layer of it.
- 33:24Speaker 1: There's an outer layer of like crust, crust. That sounds bad.
- 33:29Speaker 1: We all never heard of it. He must have been
- 33:30Speaker 1: making it. I'm on board with that. We got google
- 33:34Speaker 1: what is beef Wellington?
- 33:38Speaker 4: My dad's catching on to your antics, just making it up.
- 33:42Speaker 1: It's a classic upscale enguish dish. Featuring a premium cut
- 33:46Speaker 1: of beef tenderloin that is seared, coated in a savory
- 33:50Speaker 1: mushroom mixture, and often wrapped with a pop tart perjudo
- 33:57Speaker 1: or pat. Is that what that is? The a t e? Yeah?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Then it's wrapped in a flaky puff pastry and baked. Huh.
- 34:06Speaker 1: So you look at it. It's interesting looking. I don't
- 34:10Speaker 1: want to do that. Look at that? All right?
- 34:16Speaker 2: Cool?
- 34:17Speaker 1: This is gray for our listeners anyway. Now you know
- 34:21Speaker 1: what Pete Wellington is?
- 34:22Speaker 2: Question three?
- 34:25Speaker 3: Okay, science, science? Who sings that song? No, that's not
- 34:31Speaker 3: my question. Who sings that song?
- 34:34Speaker 1: I remember? No, man, I know it's sad, isn't it.
- 34:38Speaker 6: I know?
- 34:39Speaker 1: And you call yourself a DJ. I don't call myself
- 34:41Speaker 1: anything true? You really don't. Okay, it's the fun guy. Science. Science.
- 34:49Speaker 1: This three lettered unit is the international measurement of electrical resistance.
- 34:56Speaker 1: What is it? Three letters? Science? This three letter unit
- 35:03Speaker 1: is the international measurement of electrical resistance.

- 35:35Speaker 1: You know, we don't have all day here. I'm trying
- 35:39Speaker 1: to think.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Is it is an acronym?
- 35:47Speaker 1: It's like AMPS. Huh like amps AMP. I don't know.
- 35:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna say AMP. I'm just sticking a gas. I
- 35:53Speaker 1: have no idea. Hurts. I don't know what the fuck
- 35:55Speaker 1: it is hurts. Yeah? Is that three letters? Now?

- 36:17Speaker 4: I don't know anything about light bulbs or electric.
- 36:20Speaker 1: I don't think ohms are in light bulbs? Are they?
- 36:23Speaker 3: I don't know electrical resistance? Is that in the light bulb?
- 36:26Speaker 3: I don't think we're now We're now we're really going

- 41:21Speaker 5: Huh.
- 41:21Speaker 4: Yeah, Joel and I drove back from a wedding last October.
- 41:24Speaker 4: You were doing about one hundred and six. I had
- 41:26Speaker 4: no idea he was driving that, you know what. I

- 41:30Speaker 4: your parents.
- 41:31Speaker 1: There you go.
- 41:31Speaker 3: So Brock and I got into it a little bit
- 41:33Speaker 3: about my driving on the way home from this past wedding.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, I want to get back. It's funny.
- 41:38Speaker 1: He even said he's a week. We got back very

- 41:46Speaker 3: and he goes, oh, I wasn't going to complaine about
- 41:48Speaker 3: how fast you were driving, but I did look that
- 41:49Speaker 3: you shaved off a lot of time.
- 41:53Speaker 1: It all worked out, all right, Dad, it's your turn
- 41:55Speaker 1: here ask me some shit.
- 41:57Speaker 2: I'm going to tell a little story here for about speeding. Okay, speeding, Yeah,
- 42:03Speaker 2: well sort of speeding. I don't know. You probably know
- 42:08Speaker 2: about this one already, monkey, But one day I was
- 42:14Speaker 2: just comfortably sitting in my chair in our living room
- 42:18Speaker 2: at home, and our wall, our our garage shares a
- 42:25Speaker 2: wall with our living room. Okay, So I'm just sitting
- 42:30Speaker 2: there watching the prices, right or whatever it was, I
- 42:32Speaker 2: don't know, and all of a sudden I hear this
- 42:37Speaker 2: this crash, I mean crash, And I knew right away.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I said, I bet that damn kid went right into
- 42:45Speaker 2: the garage door. And you know what, that's exactly what
- 42:50Speaker 2: you So he was speeding. But you're wrong.
- 42:57Speaker 1: But you're wrong. You're wrong about that, you butcher the store.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Yeah, all I know is your vehicle was in our garage.
- 43:06Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the But I wasn't speeding into the garage
- 43:08Speaker 1: door first off, too, by the way, Yeah, the story
- 43:11Speaker 1: is not a question. It's supposed to be this game
- 43:12Speaker 1: of how well do I know my dad to do
- 43:15Speaker 1: with that? And let me tell you, by the way,
- 43:17Speaker 1: let me clarify my side of the story.
- 43:19Speaker 3: By the bat, this wasn't all that long. It ten
- 43:22Speaker 3: ten years ago. I was working at the radio station.
- 43:26Speaker 3: I had a lot of money. I was going to
- 43:28Speaker 3: go to the bank and put the wat of money
- 43:29Speaker 3: in the bank. I had the wat of money sitting
- 43:31Speaker 3: in the house. I pulled in the driveway, I was
- 43:34Speaker 3: fucking around on my phone. I didn't put the car
- 43:36Speaker 3: in park.
- 43:37Speaker 1: My plan was I was gonna put the car in park,
- 43:39Speaker 1: run upstairs, get the money, come back, go to the bank.
- 43:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Well, I pulled in the driveway, didn't put the car
- 43:45Speaker 1: in park, fucked around on my phone, got out of
- 43:48Speaker 1: the car, ran upstairs, turned around, and witnessed the.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Car go right into the garage.
- 43:53Speaker 1: So that's what happened, and wasn't I was speeding anywhere.
- 43:56Speaker 1: It was. It was a simple mistake. I forgot to
- 43:58Speaker 1: put the car in park.
- 43:59Speaker 2: Su Oh, yeah, that's super It is mistake.
- 44:02Speaker 1: How could it happen to anybody?
- 44:04Speaker 2: Really?
- 44:05Speaker 1: I think? So, okay, anybody you have.
- 44:07Speaker 2: A question, Oh, boy, I got tons of ask a question, how.
- 44:10Speaker 1: Well do I know my father?
- 44:12Speaker 2: Question number one? The first record album that I bought was.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Ooh ooh uh domin Clean America Pie. That's a horrible song.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Very good?
- 44:25Speaker 1: What else you got here? Question two?
- 44:27Speaker 2: Question two?
- 44:29Speaker 1: Love me up here? Love me up?
- 44:30Speaker 2: Okay? In my senior year in high school? What show
- 44:35Speaker 2: was I in at the high school? Oh? Yeah, because
- 44:38Speaker 2: we talked about this too, I know we did. No,
- 44:42Speaker 2: that wasn't it. And I was up for a couple
- 44:47Speaker 2: of Freddy's this year though, but I don't think it
- 44:49Speaker 2: won Ah. Shit was.
- 44:52Speaker 1: From the makers of Oklahoma comes a Ship, This fall
- 45:00Speaker 1: a ship Like there's a couple that come to mind. So, yeah,
- 45:08Speaker 1: you're senior year of high school. You were in some musical.
- 45:11Speaker 1: We really were not musical people. It's kind of surprising
- 45:14Speaker 1: to me that you were in a musical.
- 45:15Speaker 2: What do you mean.
- 45:16Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 45:16Speaker 3: We're not musical. I mean musicals are, okay, but we're
- 45:20Speaker 3: not musical people. Broadway like music, you know what I mean?
- 45:23Speaker 1: Musicals?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Okay, all right, But there's a.
- 45:26Speaker 1: Couple that come to mind. Sweeney Todd, that's a good guess.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Or the Fiddler on the roof.
- 45:32Speaker 2: Nah. So the thing is this, this show is pretty
- 45:37Speaker 2: much crashed and burned now. It was Little Abner.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Yeah, were you no?
- 45:45Speaker 2: My character's name was maryon Sam marrying Sam? Yeah, because
- 45:50Speaker 2: I married Little Abner and Daisy May okay, yeah, but
- 45:56Speaker 2: what were you like the preacher? Yeah? Oh really yeah,
- 45:59Speaker 2: Marry and Sam yeah fire fire Yeah well yeah, I
- 46:03Speaker 2: don't know if they considered it a father or not.
- 46:06Speaker 2: But yeah, interesting, it was fun. That's all I can.
- 46:09Speaker 2: It's all so so yeah, you keep that up. It'll
- 46:19Speaker 2: be revived.
- 46:22Speaker 1: Three.
- 46:24Speaker 2: Oh okay. Uh. The FM station I worked at in
- 46:28Speaker 2: the nineties, Oh, they're gone. They've been gone a long time.
- 46:34Speaker 2: I know we talked about I even had shirts at
- 46:36Speaker 2: home with the.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Bad I know that I know this, but I'm like
- 46:39Speaker 1: blanking on it. I don't know. I really don't know.
- 46:41Speaker 1: I don't know the call it was. It was w
- 46:43Speaker 1: y C Y Yeah I knew. Yeah.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Sorry, they were one oh seven point five. Yeah, because
- 46:51Speaker 2: that would have been a bonus. But Hill, if you
- 46:53Speaker 2: didn't know the call letters, you're not going to know
- 46:54Speaker 2: the frequency.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Frank FM. Then that's how I do. Oh yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 1: I w I saw Frank. Yeah, we're town there.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Yeah it was. It was an AC station. And the
- 47:06Speaker 2: cool thing about that is I was the overnight guy,
- 47:10Speaker 2: so I was midnight to six and all the new
- 47:15Speaker 2: songs that they played started at the midnight hour. So
- 47:22Speaker 2: there was a big note for the tomb vision of
- 47:25Speaker 2: Love and it said make sure you say Mariah carry
- 47:29Speaker 2: it's not Maria. Nobody knew who the hell she was.
- 47:33Speaker 3: Yeah. See, I never I'll never forget the day I
- 47:36Speaker 3: came home in the eighth grade and said I want
- 47:38Speaker 3: to be on the radio, when both you guys were like, yeah,
- 47:40Speaker 3: all right, yeah, okay, fine, and you're.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Never gonna get a job. It's never gonna work out.
- 47:44Speaker 2: Well, so far, so good. There. That's all I'll say with.
- 47:47Speaker 1: With you, thank you very much that thank you.
- 47:50Speaker 2: It's time for.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Much Yeah, I mean, I mean I'm taking a break
- 47:59Speaker 4: in the uh the snack budget this week, thankfully because
- 48:03Speaker 4: the Joel's dad.
- 48:04Speaker 1: That was nice of me. Would you guys bring no way?
- 48:08Speaker 1: Is this just a Chex mix, like a gigantic thing.
- 48:11Speaker 2: For each of us?
- 48:12Speaker 1: Oh my god? Wait wait wait, this is the legendary
- 48:15Speaker 1: my dad's homemade Chex mix. Though, is it really you
- 48:18Speaker 1: ever eat this ship?
- 48:19Speaker 5: No?
- 48:19Speaker 1: It's like crack. Oh yeah, it's crazy. Tell us what's
- 48:25Speaker 1: in this?
- 48:26Speaker 2: That's basically the recipe right from the back of the box.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Joel can tell you, like the the Friday after Thanksgiving,
- 48:36Speaker 2: that night we'd start start cooking up a couple of batches,
- 48:40Speaker 2: and then right through through New Year's we'd have them
- 48:43Speaker 2: every night. So it was really unusual to have the
- 48:48Speaker 2: house smelling like like the Chex mix.
- 48:50Speaker 1: Now, this is really good, but but it's like the
- 48:54Speaker 1: Worcestershire sauce and the butter combination. Yeah, you slip you
- 48:57Speaker 1: like bake it.
- 48:58Speaker 2: Yeah, see I don't I I don't make it in
- 49:00Speaker 2: the microwave, but I actually cook it in the oven
- 49:04Speaker 2: for an hour like the directions tell you to do.
- 49:07Speaker 2: This is really good, and it's the whole house. The
- 49:09Speaker 2: whole house smells great when that's when that's heating up.
- 49:12Speaker 1: Well, thank you guys for sharing this. This is really nice.
- 49:14Speaker 3: You go the other thing too, not to be gross,
- 49:16Speaker 3: but clean. There's a lot of fiber in there. Oh yeah,
- 49:19Speaker 3: oh yeah, I look forward to that at three am.
- 49:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know our our pipes take a walk up Jesus.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Allright, better call a gentist. Well that was a lot
- 49:34Speaker 4: of fun, right yeah, Dad's thank you, yeah, thank you,
- 49:39Speaker 4: thank you. Yeah, thanks for coming, guys. I appreciate you.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Yeah.

- 49:49Speaker 4: that you've been on the show and you've done it,
- 49:50Speaker 4: do you want to come back or not?
- 49:54Speaker 2: Sure?
- 49:56Speaker 3: Yeah, there's a lot of hesitation and long pause. Episode
