- 0:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Let's lift our hands to heaven and thank him.
- 0:15Speaker 1: For his power that is at working us.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Thank him for his ability at work in our spirits.
- 0:23Thank him for partnership, Thank him for coin onia. Shaback apple, sabranda, barato, sabrates.
- 0:34Are you giving him all the praise for his power
- 0:40at working us? That the excellency of power may be
- 0:45of God. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. In Jesus'
- 1:01muchless name we have prayed. It is true that God
- 1:06can help men. It is true that the Spirit of God,
- 1:12when he holds.
- 1:13Speaker 1: A man, he can do wonders through that man.
- 1:17Speaker 2: It is also true that the power of the Highest
- 1:20can reside upon a mortal man and cause you to
- 1:24do extraordinary things.
- 1:26Speaker 1: May all this be your passion tonight in the name
- 1:30of Jesus.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Everywhere you see the wonder working manifestation of.
- 1:38Speaker 1: God in the midst of his people. The Holy Spirit.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Represents the omenly presence of God, the Lord, walking with them,
- 1:50and that by his spirit Allelujah, he is the God
- 1:55factor in the midst of people. He answers to the
- 1:59ministry of Jesus Us, turning ordinary men to be extraordinary.
- 2:04This is what He's made out of our lives, and
- 2:06this is what he's making out of you tonight. A
- 2:09sign and a wonder and ambassador, a weakness, a battle
- 2:14acts that is efficient. You believe that cry in one
- 2:18minute and asks a lot for an encounter.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I am here again. I am here again. Go ahead
- 2:24and pray.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Pray without distraction, pray with absolute focus.
- 2:29Speaker 1: I am here again. I am here again. I am
- 2:37here again. Someone cry to your maker, don't look around. Pray.
- 2:50I am here again. Visit me.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Turn my morning to dancing, my sorrow to joy.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Give me illumination. Let me encounter your wish. Stop. Continue
- 3:01the making process, continue the building process, continue my becoming.
- 3:08Might imagine.
- 3:18Speaker 2: For in Jesus' mighty name, we pray.
- 3:22Speaker 1: In jesus mighty name, we pray.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Give us mighty visitations and encounter tonight of God. Change
- 3:30our lives by your wisdom and power us by your spirit.
- 3:34For in Jesus' name we pray. Please be seated, God,
- 3:39bless you. Welcome everyone again. It's good to be in
- 3:42the house of God. This is where you are transformed,
- 3:46this is where you are changed. Beholding Him as in
- 3:49a mirror. The Bible says we are changed from glory
- 3:53to glory, even as by the spirit of God.
- 3:56Speaker 1: We are changed on the strength of what we know, on.
- 4:00Speaker 2: The strength of what we understand, and then the wisdom
- 4:04that comes out of that understanding as we act upon
- 4:07the world.
- 4:08Speaker 1: In the name of.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Jesus, thank you very much for appreciating me on this
- 4:13Father's Day. Happy Father's Day to everyone, every man. By
- 4:18the way, I think I should do a tribute to
- 4:20the Father. So all men, once you are from eighteen
- 4:23years and above, stand up eighteen years and above. If
- 4:30you're not sure how old you are sitting down, Allelujah,
- 4:38eighteen years and above, stand up you have any adults
- 4:42sitting down, except if he's sick. If not asks a person.
- 4:46Obedience is how people become men and women of stature.
- 4:54I have taught extensively on fatherhood particularly, but let me
- 4:58say this. A father is beyond a man with a wife.
- 5:05A father is beyond a man who can have children
- 5:09or has had children.
- 5:10Speaker 1: No, there are many married men who are not fathers.
- 5:14Speaker 2: There are many pro creators of children who are not fathers.
- 5:21The Hebrew word for father is the word abbah. The
- 5:25Greek is the word pat and both of them mean
- 5:29a source, sustainer, protector, defender. In the very definition of
- 5:35fatherhood are the qualities of.
- 5:38Speaker 1: A true father. Lend me your attention for one minute.
- 5:43Speaker 2: There are four major assignments of fathers according to Scripture.
- 5:47Number one is the ability to provide first for your household.
- 5:53Please listen first for your household. It matters the order
- 5:57of priority. The ability to provide first for your household,
- 6:03and then it extends to as many who are under
- 6:05your care. Number two the ability to protect. The ability
- 6:11to protect is the second definition of fatherhood.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Number three the ability to mentor and create growth.
- 6:21Speaker 2: There is no true father without mentorship and growth. Fathers
- 6:26have the mandate under God to mentor and to allow
- 6:30for growth. Number four, the fourth assignment of fatherhood is
- 6:36to create structures for continuity and succession continuity. Anything that
- 6:43dies with the father has stopped the man from being
- 6:47a true father. The proof that you are a father
- 6:50is that those who come after you must become extensions
- 6:54of your legacy.
- 6:55Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 6:56Speaker 2: Yes, it should never start and end with you, except
- 7:00if it is evil, But if it is good, a
- 7:03good man, the Bible says, lays.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Up an inheritance.
- 7:06Speaker 2: You may want to listen to my message redefining inheritance.
- 7:11So my tribute to every father, I want to start
- 7:15by appreciating every man, every father who has done all this,
- 7:23or at least most of this, responsible man who has
- 7:29provided for his household, protected his household, methodically, mentored all
- 7:37within his care, and is about creating a system of godliness, responsibility,
- 7:44wealth that makes for succession even when you are not here.
- 7:49Speaker 1: If Christ Star is.
- 7:51Speaker 2: My salutations and my commendations to such because they are
- 7:55fathers indeed, but let me also encourage some one by
- 8:01my definition. Now you may find out that you've fallen
- 8:03shot of God's definition of fatherhood.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I still salute.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Your courage, the willingness to retrace your step and to
- 8:13start afresh. The beautiful thing about the gift of time
- 8:17is that it gives you opportunity to start again. Perhaps
- 8:21there's some father standing here, and whilst you are standing,
- 8:24you are really feeling guilty because you have not done
- 8:27justice in providing for your home.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Even if you've prayed.
- 8:30Speaker 2: In tongues, you've not done justice in protecting your wife
- 8:34and children, protecting them emotionally, spiritually. You have created a
- 8:39tense atmosphere, and your children dread growing in that atmosphere.
- 8:44Speaker 1: You can change, Men can change.
- 8:46Speaker 2: There's nothing embarrassing about the need for change. We all
- 8:50have had to change to become this way, and we
- 8:53will have to change to become the higher versions of ourselves.
- 8:56So while commending those who have done well, indeed fathers
- 9:00by this definition, let me propose to many who have
- 9:06fallen shot of this definition, to protect, to provide, to mentor,
- 9:13and to create a system for succession. You have the
- 9:16gift of life, You have the gift of a sound mind.
- 9:20Use it and begin to retrace your step within the
- 9:23time you have. But it's my prayer, particularly for the
- 9:26men in this house, that we will be noble men, indeed,
- 9:30that God will help us to redefine fatherhood.
- 9:33Speaker 1: If you believe that, say amen.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Father, we thank you for every father, every man in
- 9:38this place. And extending this prayer to the body of Christ,
- 9:42to as many who are connecting in the name of Jesus,
- 9:46cause us all to be noble men. By every definition
- 9:50of nobility, we obtain the grace to be able to provide,
- 9:54We obtain the grace to be able to protect. We
- 9:57obtain the grace to be able to grow and and
- 10:00taught those you have put within our care, And we
- 10:03obtain grace to be secured enough to raise other people
- 10:07who become extensions of our legacy. We obtain this grace
- 10:11as we make commitments to remain fathers and men with
- 10:14nobility and excellence. For in Jesus' name we pray a man, God,
- 10:19bless you and please be seated. Are you ready for tonight?
- 10:34Never forget that nobody comes to God's presence who intends
- 10:39to encounter him and then.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Leaves without an evident change. God is still as.
- 10:46Speaker 2: He always is, in the business of redeeming, transforming and empowering,
- 10:53redeeming the lost, transforming the believers, empowering those who will
- 10:58be witnessing. It takes redemntion salvation to convert an unsaved
- 11:06person to become a believer. It takes transformation through discipleship
- 11:11and that through the world to now grow and give
- 11:15the new believer and orientation that makes that person a
- 11:19matured believer. But it takes the empowerment of the spirit
- 11:23to transform a believer to a weakness. That transition does
- 11:28not just happen by knowledge alone. It takes power and
- 11:32for everyone in this place, one or more of this
- 11:36is happening to you right now as you listen. If
- 11:39you're an unsaved person, here's your opportunity to come into
- 11:42the fold, this family of faith, and that happens through
- 11:46the power of redemption. It happens through the substitutionary sacrifice
- 11:51of Jesus Christ. If you're a believer here at any level,
- 11:55there is room for growth until you attain onto a
- 11:59state of maturity.
- 12:01Speaker 1: And that happens by the word of God.
- 12:03Speaker 2: When the Word of God is accurately taught, communicated in
- 12:07love and power, line upon line, precept upon precept, that
- 12:11word transits you by giving you a superior understanding.
- 12:16Speaker 1: And then for some who are.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Attained onto a commendable level of maturity, it is important
- 12:22that you press for empowerment. Empowerment turns a believer to
- 12:28a weakness. Now you are ready to serve the purposes
- 12:31of a kingdom with efficiency. May this be your portion
- 12:35tonight in Jesus' name, fishers of men, Tonight, I want
- 12:43to teach something that I believe will bless your heart profoundly.
- 12:48I want to redefine for you the concept of soul winning.
- 12:53We're exploring the dynamics of winning the lost fishers of Men.
- 13:01Two scriptures very quickly. The first is found in Luke
- 13:05chapter nineteen. We're reading from verse nine and ten. Jesus
- 13:09came to the house of a tax collector called Zachios.
- 13:13And when he was at the house, a few people
- 13:17who became sad why Jesus would go to the house
- 13:20of such.
- 13:20Speaker 1: A corrupt and a wicked man.
- 13:23Speaker 2: They wondered why he would leave every other place he
- 13:27needed to go to be with Zachios. And he said,
- 13:30this this day is salvation. Come to this house for
- 13:35as much as he also is a son of Abraham
- 13:39the Steed. For the son of Man is come to
- 13:43seek and to save that.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Which was lost.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Take note, the son of Man is come first to
- 13:51seek and then to save that which was lost. Second
- 13:56scripture Matthew Chapter four from the eighteen and nineteen Matthew
- 14:02Chapter four eighteen and nineteen. Matthew Chapter four from verse
- 14:07eighteen and nineteen, and Jesus walking by the Sea of Galilee.
- 14:15The Bible says, he's so true, brethren, this was Jesus
- 14:17now about to select disciples. Simon called Peter and Andrew
- 14:22his brother, casting a net into the sea. The Bible says,
- 14:26for they were fishers, that was their profession. Let's read
- 14:29verse nineteen together nineteen when you see projected one to read,
- 14:35and he said, onto them, follow me, and I will
- 14:39make you fishers of men. One more time, and he said,
- 14:43onto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers
- 14:48of men. Father, we thank you for your word in
- 14:52Jesus' might name.
- 14:54Speaker 1: We pray.
- 14:55Speaker 2: So the Bible tells us that God desires that every sinner.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Be saved, the lost be saved.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And then that the ones who are announce saved will
- 15:10come onto the knowledge of the truth. And whilst he
- 15:15walked upon the earth, he made his manifest to very
- 15:18clear that his purpose of coming, Jesus now was to
- 15:22reconcile men to God. His purpose of coming was not
- 15:28just to perform miracles. His purpose of coming was not
- 15:31just to deliver the oppressed. As we know, his purpose
- 15:35was not just to bring increase and bring abundance. All
- 15:39of those were expressions, but primarily Jesus made it very clear,
- 15:45as we have in Luke chapter nineteen, that his purpose,
- 15:50the son of Man came to seek and then to
- 15:53save that which was lost. Many expressions in the Bible
- 15:58points to the fact that the concept of sole winning
- 16:04is not just one that is reserved for evangelists or
- 16:09reserved for serious Christians, but that it is a mandate
- 16:13upon everyone believer, and that without sole winning, many aspects
- 16:20of God's program will not happen as intended, because based
- 16:27on the sequence of God's program for the nations, the
- 16:30first is sole winning. It is only the one who
- 16:34is saved that can become a believer, then the one
- 16:37who is a believer that can become transformed and matured,
- 16:41and the one who is matured becoming empowered. Then the
- 16:45one who becomes empowered becomes a witness.
- 16:48Speaker 1: So the whole journey to being.
- 16:50Speaker 2: A witness starts with the person being an unbeliever. And
- 16:54if soul winning becomes a missing part of that whole equation,
- 16:58we will not have believers, we will not have matured believers,
- 17:02and we will not have witnesses who can be able
- 17:05to carry out the purposes of God and the program
- 17:08of the Kingdom.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 17:11Speaker 2: So Jesus is about selecting disciples. And I think it's
- 17:14very important to just stress a point here talking about
- 17:18the move of God, talking about awakenings.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Talking about revivals.
- 17:22Speaker 2: It is important for us to know that revival is
- 17:26as powerful as the vessels that can be found and.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Are ready to be used.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Revival is not as powerful as the revival programs that happened.
- 17:38In order of spiritual priority. The first port of call
- 17:42in birthing revivals, awakenings, the move of God across any
- 17:47territory is that God must find men, men who are available,
- 17:52men who are faithful, men who are refined, men who
- 17:55are empowered.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 17:58Speaker 2: The revivalist is the one who can cause revival. The
- 18:02one who is already awakened is the one who can
- 18:05sponsor awakenings.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So Jesus is about to carry out this.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Sole winning campaign that will start from his death is
- 18:14burial and resurrection.
- 18:15Speaker 1: But he needed people.
- 18:17Speaker 2: They would later be witnesses, but at this point they
- 18:20were ordinary men up with their professions, fishing for most
- 18:24of them. And the Bible says that he went to Galilee.
- 18:28You can imagine that he went to Galilee and just
- 18:32watched the people there, and he saw two brethren Simon
- 18:37called Peter and Andrew, his brother.
- 18:40Speaker 1: The Bible says they were casting a net.
- 18:42Speaker 2: I can imagine Jesus just standing by the sea shore
- 18:45and watching these guys, and he saw with the kind
- 18:48of skill.
- 18:49Speaker 1: That they used to catch fish.
- 18:51Speaker 2: And once they were done, the Bible says they were fishers,
- 18:55that was their profession. The next verse, he allowed them
- 18:59to finish everything they had to do, and then he said,
- 19:02follow me. I want to make you fishes, but this
- 19:06time around, not of fish, but of men.
- 19:09Speaker 1: In fact, give us an iv I like the way
- 19:11NIV puts it verse nineteen.
- 19:14Speaker 2: At once, no, no, no, go back to nineteen NIV
- 19:17THNK you come, follow me, it says Jesus said, and
- 19:20I will make you fishes of men. Come first, then
- 19:25follow me, and I will make you fishes of men. Allelujah.
- 19:34There are a few things I want us to observe
- 19:36as we build an understanding for this discussion tonight. Number one,
- 19:41Jesus told the men in advance what they would become
- 19:45when he met them. He did not leave them in
- 19:47the dark as to his intention for them. He proposed
- 19:52this idea to them that they could become fishes of men. Now,
- 19:57it's interesting that there were certain things Jesus did not
- 20:01take away from them, the ability to remain fishers, the
- 20:06Bible says they were fishers, or fishermen as we call it.
- 20:10When he called them, he made something a profound statement.
- 20:14He said, you will still be fishers. In other words,
- 20:17there are many skills you now have. You have made
- 20:20the job easier for me. I'm not going to remove
- 20:23some things from you. I will only redirect your mission.
- 20:26You will still be fishers.
- 20:29Speaker 1: You thought on seeing them he would say, I want
- 20:31to make you witnesses. He never said so I want
- 20:35to make you apostles. He never said so I want
- 20:38to make you men of God, or I want you
- 20:40to be my disciples. He said, you are still going
- 20:43to be fishers, but of men.
- 20:46Speaker 2: Verse eighteen of that scripture tells us they were already fishers.
- 20:50Speaker 1: That was their profession. They were fishers, and now he
- 20:54was changing their mission. Watch this.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Now he was changing their mission, changing their assignment. But
- 21:01he still left certain things that he found with them.
- 21:04He already found certain skills that they had that would
- 21:08make them to be useful in this new mission he
- 21:12was calling them into. So the first thing we have
- 21:14to understand is that Jesus Christ told them in advance
- 21:19that he wanted to make them fishers. But this time around,
- 21:23not of fish in the sea of men, fishers of men.
- 21:28Speaker 1: He still retained the word.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Fishers, meaning the skill was still important. The zeal he
- 21:35found in them was still important. The discipline he found
- 21:39in them was still important. The skill that made them
- 21:43fishers would still be needed when.
- 21:45Speaker 1: They became fishers of men.
- 21:46Speaker 2: The zeal the discipline, it was just the mission that
- 21:51would change.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Isn't it amazing.
- 21:55Speaker 2: That the skill the zeal i wrote here the discipline
- 21:59that makes you a fisher, or in any profession. When
- 22:03God calls you, most times it is the missions that
- 22:05would change. But those disciplines you have built will be
- 22:11used even in that mission. Now, most people are waiting
- 22:16until the day they understand the call of God before
- 22:19they begin to build all the disciplines. Here were people
- 22:23who did not know that it was in their prophetic
- 22:26destiny to be apostles, their prophetic destiny to.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Be weaknesses and to be men of God.
- 22:33Speaker 2: There were young people who found their father fishing, and
- 22:36they got into that action.
- 22:38Speaker 1: You will be learning shortly.
- 22:39Speaker 2: That there are many components that make a fisher man
- 22:42a skillful one and an effective one. Jesus was not
- 22:46in a hurry to call them. He stood by the
- 22:49sea and observed. He saw something in them that would
- 22:54be needed in effective soul winning. He saw the skill,
- 22:59he saw zeal, he saw the discipline, and he said, gentlemen, come,
- 23:04I want to change your mission.
- 23:06Speaker 1: But don't throw away the skill.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Don't throw away the zeal, don't throw away the discipline.
- 23:12Speaker 1: This discipline I have seen in.
- 23:14Speaker 2: You that has made you good fishers will still be
- 23:18needed when you become fishers of men.
- 23:20Speaker 1: This is the first thing we observe when God comes
- 23:24to men.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Most times it is the mission that he changes the discipline.
- 23:29That means you do not have to wait until you
- 23:32understand your assignment to begin to invest in skill, invest
- 23:37in discipline, invest.
- 23:39Speaker 1: In strategic knowledge.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It will not be a waste even when you eventually
- 23:44find your place. Learning obedience will be useful whether you
- 23:49are found your assignment or not. Learning diligence will be
- 23:52useful whether you are found your assignment or not.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Learning time management.
- 23:57Speaker 2: All of these things that make men efficient will not
- 24:01be thrown away just because God called you.
- 24:03Speaker 1: This is very important.
- 24:05Speaker 2: That means here upfront, I will teach you that even
- 24:08if you have not found your place in life and destiny,
- 24:11in terms of purpose. You can begin to build the
- 24:14skills of aficial man, because when Jesus calls you, you
- 24:18will still be a fisher. It's only that you will
- 24:20now become of men. Are we together now?
- 24:24Speaker 1: Yes?
- 24:25Speaker 2: Imagine if he came and met these guys folding their
- 24:28arms and he said, why are you people sitting idle?
- 24:31And he said, well, we're not doing anything. We're waiting
- 24:33for the day will be called. There are some prophetic
- 24:36world that one day will be apostles.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Jesus would not have appointed them.
- 24:41Speaker 2: The only thing they did not have was the mission.
- 24:44But the discipline was already. There are we together? They
- 24:48began to build that culture of discipline already, that skill
- 24:51of efficiency.
- 24:52Speaker 1: Already.
- 24:53Speaker 2: It was easy for him to call them and switch
- 24:56them to their mission. Because whether you are a fisher
- 25:00of fish or a fisher.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Of men, one thing will remain.
- 25:04Speaker 2: You will be a fisher. Are we together? This is
- 25:08very powerful. Number Two, Jesus said, come follow me. The
- 25:14first instruction to becoming a fisher of men. He was
- 25:19speaking to people who were already skilled, and yet he
- 25:24said come. Then he said follow me. You would think
- 25:27he would call them and say leave being fishers of
- 25:30fish and become immediately the fisher of men. There are
- 25:37consequences if you skip this step in your becoming a
- 25:42fisher of men. No matter how professional you are, no
- 25:46matter how successful you are, one thing is for sure.
- 25:50When God calls you, you start afresh. This is for
- 25:55sure your skill remains. But he will not just switch
- 25:59you immediately from your life or whatever you were doing.
- 26:03The business of men is very delicate, and it needs training.
- 26:07He called these people, and he said, follow me. You
- 26:10will need a season of following. In other words, there
- 26:14are patents you will need to learn.
- 26:16Speaker 1: You will need to watch me do it. Watch my
- 26:18approach to the lost, Watch my approach.
- 26:22Speaker 2: They followed him to the house of Zakios. They came
- 26:24and met him at the well with the woman, Remember
- 26:27the woman at the well. They saw different templates. He
- 26:31was training them to be fishers of men. For every
- 26:37believer who desires to answer that mandate of being official,
- 26:43the first assignment is not to go to the field.
- 26:46The first assignment is to follow, to follow and learn.
- 26:50Learn what makes for efficiency. As far as winning the
- 26:54losses concern. Now listen very carefully. I wrote something here
- 26:58that the first requirement in becoming an effective fisher of
- 27:03men is your training, not the fishing, not evangelism. The
- 27:09first requirement in becoming a fisher of men is your training,
- 27:16not the fishing itself, or in our case now, not
- 27:21the evangelism. It's amazing how many people want to evangelize.
- 27:26They want to be part of the programs that lead
- 27:30to winning the lost, but they will not allow themselves
- 27:33to be trained. You are going to be learning that
- 27:35your life will be laid with a lot of inefficiency
- 27:38and paid and defeat and regret, even though your intention
- 27:43is sincere. If you do not follow, and you suddenly
- 27:47image yourself into a fisher of men, you will cause
- 27:50a lot of casualty at the sea.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Are we together? Jesus train them.
- 27:59Speaker 2: He allows them to watch his approach in dealing with men.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Being a fisher of men is being called into the
- 28:09business of men. These guys were business people. They were
- 28:13not just calling into the business of products and services.
- 28:15They were called into the business of men, and they
- 28:19needed hands on training. By following Jesus, by making observations.
- 28:24Speaker 1: This is very important. I took out time to make
- 28:27a little study, and in that study I tried to find.
- 28:33Speaker 2: Out the training of a fisherman. What does it take
- 28:39for a man to be a fisherman? And I'm going
- 28:41to be drawing for lessons from that training because Jesus
- 28:44said that we will still be fishers, it's only that
- 28:48will be fishers of men. And I took time to
- 28:51observe how a fisherman is trained.
- 28:54Speaker 1: What are the factors.
- 28:56Speaker 2: That fishermen need to understand to be effective at fishing,
- 29:00because they would be the same principles that will be
- 29:03used for effective weakness, especially soul winning. You'll be learning
- 29:09why our evangelism and our soul winning campaigns and pursuits
- 29:15within the body of Christ is largely ineffective.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Like I've told you this.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Now, as we know statistically speaking, above eight billion people
- 29:24upon the earth, and we have just a little shy
- 29:27of say two point six to two point eight professing
- 29:31Christians across the globe. It's a very uncomfortable truth, but
- 29:37we have to understand and agree that something is wrong
- 29:41with the inefficiency of our weakness, especially our soul winning.
- 29:46We have programs and conferences organized globally every year, every week,
- 29:53every day. There are many mission agencies across the globe
- 29:57doing you know you know great things that levels, But
- 30:01why is it that in spite of many churches, many conferences.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Many men and women.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Of God, many church programs, it looks to me and
- 30:10statistically proven that there does not seem to be constructive
- 30:15advancement in terms of the lost who come to the fold.
- 30:19Something is wrong, and we will use today's teaching to
- 30:23examine what is wrong.
- 30:24Speaker 1: The training of a fisherman.
- 30:27Speaker 2: The training of a fisherman is also the training of
- 30:31a soul winner. There are many things that soul win us,
- 30:36believe us who desire to be part of winning the lost,
- 30:41regardless your zeal, there are things we can learn from
- 30:45the training of a fisherman. And I want to run
- 30:47through a list with you, hoping and praying that as
- 30:50you listen, God will sharpen you, reposition you to become
- 30:54a very effective soul winner.
- 30:57Speaker 1: You believe that, shout aloud? Amen, So I wrote something
- 31:02here before.
- 31:02Speaker 2: We discuss that there are fishing principles that can help
- 31:07the believer become an effective soul winner.
- 31:11Speaker 1: We're going to be learning what makes.
- 31:13Speaker 2: A fisherman an effective fisherman, and from the mandate of
- 31:18Jesus draw forth lessons from there that can make us
- 31:21become effective weaknesses effective fishers of men?
- 31:26Speaker 1: Are you ready now? Number one?
- 31:30Speaker 2: The first thing we have to learn in the training
- 31:32of a fisherman is that you need to understand the sea.
- 31:38You need to understand the sea. That is where you
- 31:42find fish. You don't find fish in the air. You
- 31:48don't find fish just on the ground. You don't find
- 31:51fish on a tree. If you want to be a fisherman,
- 31:56the first thing you have to understand is the sea
- 32:00where you find fish.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Are we learning now?
- 32:04Speaker 2: Every fisherman knows that until you are trained to understand
- 32:10the dynamics of navigating the sea, you will never be
- 32:14able to catch fish. I do not know any professional
- 32:18fisherman who does not understand the dynamics of the sea.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And the sea is a.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Very complicated place because there is a skill to walking
- 32:29or living in the sea, walking wa or rking.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Walking in the sea. There is a skill.
- 32:39Speaker 2: If you do not know it, you can die at sea.
- 32:42How many of you know that many people have died
- 32:44at the sea because there are times that the sea
- 32:49can become almost noiseless, but there are times that the
- 32:53sea can be boisterous. Many fishermen, like many believers do
- 32:59not know that the sea.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Is where you find fish.
- 33:04Speaker 2: But if you do not understand the sea and how
- 33:07to navigate your way, that mission can become a mission
- 33:11impossible that kills you.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Right at sea.
- 33:14Speaker 2: And unfortunately, many many believers in the name of evangelism
- 33:19have died at the very place where they are supposed
- 33:23to save sinners. The sea for a believer represents the
- 33:28entire globe, anywhere men can be found. It is likened
- 33:33to anywhere fish can be found. When you talk about
- 33:37the sea in our context as believers, we're talking about
- 33:41the entire globe. Now listen very carefully. We are fishers
- 33:45of men, and this is a training course. There's no
- 33:50fisherman watch this that finds himself rolling around, jumping and
- 33:54shouting around the sea. No, the fishermen observe the web
- 34:00that are we together. They observe so many things. And
- 34:03even when the sea becomes boisterous, like you be learning
- 34:07the skill that you deploy when the fish the sea
- 34:10is come, it is not the same skill you deploy
- 34:13when the skill the sea is boisterous.
- 34:17Speaker 1: Are you following me? Now? Very important?
- 34:21Speaker 2: The first lesson in the training of a fisherman that
- 34:25can be brought to the training of a soul winner
- 34:28is you must.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Understand the sea. Please look at me, my goodness.
- 34:32Speaker 2: This world you see is the world of men, and
- 34:35like the sea, it is a very complicated space.
- 34:40Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 34:42Speaker 2: If you want to save sinners and you do not
- 34:45understand the world you have found yourself in, you will
- 34:48get into the middle of things that you may never
- 34:51come out of. Every soul winner must be trained to
- 34:56understand the world wherein you will be going to save souls.
- 35:01There are places across the earth that are harsh and messless,
- 35:05like the boisterous nature.
- 35:07Speaker 1: There are places.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I hope you know that the fish in the sea
- 35:11don't stay at the same place. There are some of them.
- 35:14You can find them, in fact, just looking at the
- 35:17sea you can see them popping up. But there are
- 35:19others who are deep down the sea. Many believers who
- 35:23want to be effective soul winners have never taken time
- 35:27to They're not even interested in studying the cosmos the
- 35:31world of men, and so we carry a lot of
- 35:35blind zeal in the name of evangelism, especially as touching
- 35:40our modern day world. There are many many fishermen who
- 35:44have gone to sea and never returned back home like
- 35:47many people who went and suffered several casualties because they.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Were not trained to.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Understand that being a fisherman like a soul winner. Lesson
- 35:58number one is you or study the sea. The world
- 36:02that we live in is not a world of compassion.
- 36:05The world that we live in is not a world
- 36:08of fairness. The world that we live in is not
- 36:11a world with men alone. There are spirits cohabiting with men.
- 36:16You need to understand the world wherein. That's where sinners are.
- 36:22The world that you are living in that you are
- 36:24going to evangelize and win sould is under the influence
- 36:28of this spirit called Satan. He has manipulated that sea
- 36:34with a way of thinking, a way of behavior. He
- 36:38is called the God of this world, and that he's
- 36:41blinded the minds of the people. If the believer does
- 36:45not understand the cosmos, your witness will be very ineffective.
- 36:49Speaker 1: If you're following me, shout Amen. So like the sea,
- 36:54the sea.
- 36:55Speaker 2: For the believer, for the soul winner, represents everywhere men
- 36:59can be found, Abuja, Legos, the city center, your village,
- 37:04everywhere men can be found qualifies to be called the sea.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Number two.
- 37:13Speaker 2: The second training for a fisherman that is applicable for
- 37:16a soul winner.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I hope you are learning already.
- 37:20Speaker 2: If you do not know this, you will not truly
- 37:23be a fisher of men. You need to know the
- 37:26various kinds of fish there are at sea.
- 37:30Speaker 1: Aha, this is.
- 37:32Speaker 2: A very important one. You need to have this at
- 37:35the back of your mind. That there are various kinds
- 37:39of fish in the sea. All fish are not the same.
- 37:43That tells you immediately that your strategy will not.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Be the same.
- 37:49Speaker 2: All fish are not the same. Every fisherman knows that
- 37:53there are a multitude of fish or fishes, as we say,
- 37:58in the sea. According to National Geographic I did a
- 38:03little study. It says they are about totty two thousand
- 38:07living species of fish on the earth. Let me repeat
- 38:10that again for your knowledge. There are about totty two
- 38:14thousand living species aside from the ones that are extinct.
- 38:20These are the various kinds of fish that I found
- 38:24across various seas on it. You see why you need
- 38:30training because there are many sore winners. The first fish
- 38:34you were trying to catch was a whale, and it
- 38:37swallowed you. Because just because it's a sea does not
- 38:43mean you won't catch everything.
- 38:44Speaker 1: There are we letting? Now? I receive, I'm manifest your palm,
- 38:55and you alwaysdom till the nations. Cigsus lifted exalt, I
- 39:08receive i' malifan your pa and yoursdom to the.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Nations Cigeesus lifted.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Glorifer. Every fisherman, like every soul.
- 39:32Speaker 2: Winner, must know that biologically all men are the same,
- 39:37but spiritually just like the variety of fish we have,
- 39:41I'm not an agriculturist, but I know there are very
- 39:44many kinds of fish.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Even that sea you see is.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Divided into fresh water salt water. If they are not
- 39:51the same. The way you catch some salmon or tuna
- 39:56is not the same way.
- 39:57Speaker 1: You catch a shack.
- 40:01Speaker 2: There are vicious sea creatures you must be aware of
- 40:04so that you don't stand there with a small boat
- 40:07and the net.
- 40:09Speaker 1: As a fisherman and not return again.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Are you learning tonight, fishers of men, that the two
- 40:19thousands living species of fish?
- 40:23Speaker 1: That means different.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Species of fish require different techniques. The way Jesus approached
- 40:30the woman at the well was not the same way
- 40:33he approached zachios. Are you seeing that now there is
- 40:38wisdom that must be understood and deployed by every soul winner.
- 40:43Speaker 1: There are many soul winners.
- 40:45Speaker 2: That have gotten into trouble because they did not know
- 40:48that this sea you are seeing called the earth, has
- 40:51various kinds of fish. There are people who blindly when
- 40:54to preach with fanatism without help.
- 40:57Speaker 1: They are in prisons today. And it's not you.
- 41:00Speaker 2: I'm not talking of persecution or mattiredom. I'm talking of
- 41:03standing in the sea and not knowing the kind of
- 41:06fish that would come out. Every fisherman in training knows
- 41:14that you must know the various kinds of fish. Look on,
- 41:17let me tell you the various kinds of fish. That
- 41:20talk about the variety of unsafe people. There are people,
- 41:23Jesus said, are already close to the kingdom.
- 41:27Speaker 1: That means only takes. They are. They are over right
- 41:30for a harvest. Are we together already.
- 41:33Speaker 2: By their personality and their disposition, they are.
- 41:36Speaker 1: They are just one step.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Into the kingdom morally right, nice people, very thoughtful, very philosophical.
- 41:44By reason of their philosophical stretch, they have already gleaned
- 41:48attributes that make them responsible people. It's easy to receive
- 41:52the gospel, no argument you bring, Jesus. They embrace it.
- 41:56Another kind of fish. There are fish that you have
- 41:58to dig the seed ground to bring them out because
- 42:02of how deep they have gone.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Are we together? There are people.
- 42:08Speaker 2: As soon as you see them and say look, I
- 42:09want to tell you about.
- 42:10Speaker 1: Jesus, they say, sit down, where was Jesus born?
- 42:13Speaker 2: I will tell you the date. At the end of it,
- 42:16you end up with debates and arguments, and you see
- 42:19how much of scripture.
- 42:20Speaker 1: You don't know. They'll leave you feeling bad and they.
- 42:23Speaker 2: Say, go and do your homework before you come and
- 42:25talk to me the next time. The problem is not
- 42:28the sea. The problem is not the fish. The problem
- 42:32is that the fisherman was not trained. There are various
- 42:37kinds of fish. There are fishes that bite and kill.
- 42:42Did you hear what I said? They bite anything, including
- 42:46other fish. You will meet them eating other fish before
- 42:49you arrival.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Are we learning?
- 42:55Speaker 2: When you are dealing with a fish that eats other fishes,
- 42:59you have to be kid as any fisherman that you
- 43:03came and met the fish before your arrival.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You met it eating.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Have you seen most of your watch National Geographic? These
- 43:11great whales, they just open their mouth and allow these
- 43:14tiny fishes to just swim inside and they close it.
- 43:18Speaker 1: And you want to use.
- 43:19Speaker 2: A hook to get that kind of fish, a fish
- 43:23that is used to killing, a fish that does not
- 43:26mind speeling blood. No, there is an intelligence you need.
- 43:30Is someone learning now?
- 43:33Speaker 1: The way you win a naive even no same person,
- 43:37is not the way you win a cultist who can
- 43:39kill at every point in his life.
- 43:41Speaker 2: There are weapons with him. You need to be careful.
- 43:44There is a skill fishes of men.
- 43:50Speaker 1: Are we learning?
- 43:54Speaker 2: There are people who out of zeal they entered one chance,
- 43:57not by mistake, by themselves, because they felt they wanted
- 44:03to talk to a group of six people by themselves
- 44:06with wisdom. And while they were speaking, they noticed nobody
- 44:09was responding, but the car was moving until they got
- 44:15to a point where they said, come out, and they
- 44:18found themselves in the forest somewhere. That I'm not being sarcastic.
- 44:22We blame everything on the mission God gave us, not
- 44:25knowing that there is a training for fishermen. If the
- 44:29fish swallows you, most likely you are Jonah. If the
- 44:33fish swallows you, most likely you are not a fisherman.
- 44:38If he tells you to work on the sea, even
- 44:41if you are sinking, you hold you, because it's His
- 44:44word that made you come. So sometimes we need to
- 44:47stop blaming God for the inefficiencies that have been experienced
- 44:52at the mission field. It was a product of zeal
- 44:55without training. There are people who have died as genuine Mattie, Oh,
- 45:00not to them, but there are people who have died
- 45:03the death.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Of fools and the death of amateurs.
- 45:06Speaker 2: God is teaching your fingers, your hands to war, and
- 45:10your fingers to fight. That at the sea, just like
- 45:14the earth, the mission is, the field is white, is plentiful,
- 45:20and there are a variety of fish.
- 45:25Speaker 1: Are we together? If you're following, say amen.
- 45:30Speaker 2: The second thing every fisherman knows, and every weakness and
- 45:34every soul winner must know, is that there a variety
- 45:39of fishes in every sea. Number three, The third thing
- 45:49we learn from the training of a fisherman that applies
- 45:53to a soul winner in training is that there are
- 45:57various techniques for catching fish. When it has to do
- 46:02with the business of fishing, like it has to do
- 46:05with the business of soul winning, the mission is the same,
- 46:10the message is the same, but there are various techniques.
- 46:13And you know why by now, because there are various
- 46:17kinds of fish. The third thing I needed to learn.
- 46:20I hope you are learning that. There are various techniques
- 46:24for catching fish. For instance, that's what they call the
- 46:28bait and the hook, that you tie a bait to
- 46:32a hook.
- 46:32Speaker 1: You've seen fisher men do that.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Usually that goes for a small fish that you can
- 46:37even lift by yourself. And so they put worms or
- 46:40they put whatever a bit in a hook and then
- 46:43they just throw it at sea or at a small
- 46:46pond or a river, and they wait patiently, and they
- 46:50usually can know when a fish has taken it because
- 46:52it bites the bait together with the hook, and then
- 46:56they wind it backwards and pull it up and put
- 46:59it into a back Many of you have tried that.
- 47:02Many of you probably fish that way. Another strategy is
- 47:08to cast your net.
- 47:10Speaker 1: The use of nets is called casting.
- 47:13Speaker 2: That you can cast nets, and even that, as I study,
- 47:16have various skills to do it, but I will save
- 47:19that for another day. At least, this too tell you
- 47:24that to catch fish does not just require one approach alone.
- 47:29This is very powerful. There is the bed and the hook,
- 47:34and there is the casting using a net, and even
- 47:39that one happens in many ways.
- 47:43Speaker 1: Are we learning write this down on that point three.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Not everybody will be saved on a crusade ground. Not
- 47:53everybody will be saved by a preacher, but.
- 47:57Speaker 1: Everybody should be saved.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Not everybody will be saved on a crusade ground.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Not everybody will be saved by a preacher.
- 48:08Speaker 2: There are many skills, many techniques, and many strategies. This
- 48:13is very powerful. It's a very important training that any
- 48:20fisher man knows that depending on what kind of fish,
- 48:25depending on what location of the sea, there are various
- 48:30techniques that you can deploy to catch the fish. Now
- 48:33listen carefully still on point three. I wrote something here
- 48:37and I wanted to listen. Every God or then ministry
- 48:41in the body is sent by.
- 48:44Speaker 1: God to a particular group of men.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Every God ordained ministry in the Body of Christ is
- 48:53sent by God, anointed by God to fish a particular
- 48:58group of men. Both hooks and nets are ways of
- 49:08catching fish. The hook must never downplay the net, and
- 49:13the net must never downplay the hook. They are both
- 49:17methods of catching fish.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Are we learning now?
- 49:23Speaker 2: You must understand that for this evangelical work, these missions,
- 49:28these global missions, this soul winning work, it is not
- 49:32the method you know that is the only method. There
- 49:35are a variety of methods, God ordained methods.
- 49:40Speaker 1: Please look up. How many of you know a group
- 49:45called the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. Let me see your hands.
- 49:49Full Gospel.
- 49:49Speaker 2: You've heard about them, even if you're not part of them,
- 49:51you've heard about them. I've had the honor of preaching there.
- 49:54I preach at their world conferences last year. Phenomenal people.
- 49:59In telling people, it is a collection of literally, without exaggeration,
- 50:05some of the best business minds across the globe. This
- 50:08has lasted for a very long time. It was an
- 50:11honor that I had to speak to them last year.
- 50:14Phenomenally intelligent people literally across every nation. Now, do you
- 50:19know that there are certain people, on account of your
- 50:23financial status and on account of the things that happen
- 50:26around your life, they will never have the opportunity to
- 50:30hear a preacher on a crusade ground because their lifestyle
- 50:33and where God has lifted them will.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Not even allow them know that there is such a thing.
- 50:38Speaker 2: So God raised the Full Gospel Businessman's Fellowship. For instance,
- 50:42Now if Joshua Sellman, as a man of God, having
- 50:45the privilege to shout on a crusade ground down place
- 50:49the ministry of the Full Gospel businessmen, there is literally
- 50:53a demography of wealthy people that will never be saved.
- 50:58Are we together? Number two? How many of you know
- 51:02about any children ministry? Any children ministry, Christian children ministry.
- 51:08Speaker 1: CEM what they call them, now, anyone at all for children?
- 51:14How many of you know that there are many adults
- 51:17who frustrate that ministry.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Because if you want to children, the children don't need
- 51:21to learn anything.
- 51:22Speaker 1: But how many of you.
- 51:23Speaker 2: Know that every ambroba was once a child, every prostitute
- 51:27was once a child, every destroyer of.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Destiny was once a child.
- 51:31Speaker 2: And God, knowing that it's important to train up a
- 51:35child in the way he should go.
- 51:36Speaker 1: And that not many parents know God.
- 51:39Speaker 2: Enough to do justice to the destinies of the children,
- 51:42he placed a body upon certain people to minister to
- 51:46the children. And yet those ministries in many places are neglected,
- 51:51ig not and looked at as less of a ministry
- 51:55to Apostolic ministries like this, the hook must respect the net.
- 52:02They are all tools designed to catch fish. They are
- 52:06only catching various kinds of fish. There is a net
- 52:12that is too white to catch tiny fish. The fish
- 52:16who swim out of it gladly, the fish who not
- 52:19even recognize that there is a net there because the net.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Is too big for that fish.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Are we together now, so you will find that fish
- 52:28a man in a children's class, teaching and jumping like
- 52:32a child, and you are wondering, what is this foolish
- 52:35adult doing. Remember, there are tiny fish that your big
- 52:39net cannot catch, yet they need to be caught. Are
- 52:46we learning? So the man or the woman we had
- 52:50one of our father's think what year now, school of Ministry?
- 52:55I think he was maybe now the second or third
- 52:58oldest person who have been out of the School of
- 53:01Ministry students.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Maybe he's even following now, great man.
- 53:04Speaker 2: He was then in his sixties, approaching seventies or was
- 53:08it up to seventy?
- 53:09Speaker 1: I think. And this man could be so playful.
- 53:12Speaker 2: I mean, he could just jump and sometimes I remember
- 53:15then wondering, I said, can you imagine as old as
- 53:18this man is, he has remain youthful at heart, because
- 53:21these are the kinds of fishermen that were anointed. How
- 53:25many of you know it takes the anointing to still
- 53:27remain a child at seventy because you are weak and
- 53:31tired and angry at life at seventy it takes the
- 53:35anointing to still make you have the zeal of a child.
- 53:39Speaker 1: Fisher Men, if we.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Dedicate one coin on your service for children, now, some
- 53:46of you will be sleeping even before praise and worship.
- 53:49Speaker 1: What is this children's thing? Now? Yet that may be
- 53:53the meeting that saves your child.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I'm just teaching you in this training that every fisher man,
- 54:01like every soul winner. If you do not understand the strategy, observe,
- 54:06cheerfully and ask God.
- 54:07Speaker 1: Don't condemn.
- 54:09Speaker 2: When you see Jesus with the woman at the well,
- 54:12don't conclude what is Jesus doing at the well? It
- 54:15is a strategy for her salvation. When you see Jesus
- 54:18with a madman in Gadarah, don't conclude what is it
- 54:22doing with demon spirits? Whats to see what happens with
- 54:25that madman when he comes back to his right mind?
- 54:29Are we together now? Our weakness is ineffective because through
- 54:35religion and the traditions of men, we have defined a
- 54:39path based on our religiousity, and we are forcing and
- 54:43blackmailing people to go through that mold.
- 54:45Speaker 1: And that anybody I say with a hook.
- 54:48Speaker 2: If I'm holding a net or anybody I say with
- 54:52a net, If I'm holding a hook, it's not a
- 54:54fisher man.
- 54:55Speaker 1: You may be wrong.
- 54:56Speaker 2: There are various kinds of fishes, and there are various
- 54:59technie for catching them. So when you see God annoying
- 55:03somebody with a unique ability just for prosperous people, don't condemn.
- 55:09There are souls in the business world that God has
- 55:12given that person a mandate to reach. If it is
- 55:16not your assignment, respect it and staying your call, But
- 55:19don't condemn. You are losing fish. We have been losing
- 55:23fish to the religiosity of men. If you see a
- 55:26woman calling to women ministry, don't say what is this
- 55:31women and all their problem? They will soon start gossiping
- 55:34about your husbands.
- 55:35Speaker 1: That is not your concern.
- 55:36Speaker 2: There are women who will never be saved till a
- 55:39woman talks to them. There are women who the nature
- 55:44of their pain will require and not that woman like
- 55:47them to say, I know what we are going through?
- 55:50Are we together now? As annointed as God has made
- 55:54me by his grace?
- 55:55Speaker 1: There are certain elderly people who will only respond to Babad.
- 55:59The boys at call.
- 56:01Speaker 2: I can't preach there and they're impressed hating your children
- 56:04and say be like this man, don't be stubborn.
- 56:06Speaker 1: Yeah, they're not saved.
- 56:07Speaker 2: They're hearing even if I'm crying on stage. But Babao
- 56:12will come out and speak in thirty minutes and make
- 56:15an other call.
- 56:16Speaker 1: And the woman who stand up and come up.
- 56:19Speaker 2: Because there are various kinds of fish, we are all
- 56:21fisher men.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Let's respect ourselves.
- 56:31Speaker 2: There are many people who have mastered the art of
- 56:35using their hook, who are about to throw away their
- 56:37hook looking for nets. Unfortunately, your mandate does not need
- 56:41a net. If you carry that net, you will find
- 56:44out you don't even have the strength to swing it.
- 56:46You may follow that net into the sea. And there
- 56:51are many people who have been given nets. But the
- 56:55controversy with holding a net and swinging it.
- 57:00Speaker 1: They would rather just hold a hook. But you will
- 57:03only catch one fish. Pa hook Hm. I receipt, I
- 57:13manifest your palm, and you always stop till the nations
- 57:24cigsus lifted up.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Exalted, I receipt, I manifact.
- 57:37Speaker 1: Your pal and you always stand till the.
- 57:42Speaker 3: Nations cigs.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Lifted up.
- 57:52Speaker 2: I remember, many years ago, there used to be this
- 57:56wonderful group. It was a music group, and they went
- 58:03through a lot of stress because they were not believed.
- 58:07Speaker 1: I knew the people were born again.
- 58:09Speaker 2: I knew they loved Jesus with all their hearts, and
- 58:12I told them that time. I said, look, with the
- 58:14resources I had, then I would contribute gladly in helping you. Listen,
- 58:21let me tell you something about the body of Christ.
- 58:23We must be very careful. We're losing a lot of
- 58:26fish because we are destroying the efficiency of fisher men
- 58:33simply because their tools for catching fish is different from
- 58:36what we're using. We need to be careful if on
- 58:42my way going I find someone who is a professional.
- 58:46Speaker 1: How many of you know that there are.
- 58:48Speaker 2: Many fellowships that are around many careers, like, say, for instance,
- 58:55the Immigration Christian Fellowship. I preach there every year, so
- 59:00you have to be a uniform person to even have
- 59:03access to that kind of place. I have the honor
- 59:06of preaching there every year. I preach there for like eight.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Years or so, maybe eight or ten years every year
- 59:12at least. Once I go there. There are people who
- 59:16have been born again there and the way God got
- 59:19them born again was to give them jobs with immigration
- 59:22so that they can.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Attend that fellowship. There are many students. The only way
- 59:28that got saved was by getting admission. Because there are
- 59:31programs their parents will never allow them go. So you
- 59:35will find out that the child jams call was not
- 59:37up to it. But God still gave the child admission
- 59:40because it was more than just getting a degree. God
- 59:43needed that child to be released from a hostile home,
- 59:46to be in an utmost fair where he can pray.
- 59:48That child will never be allowed to have a night
- 59:51vigil where he or she is coming from. That's how
- 59:53many of you got saved. The messages respect that adversity
- 1:00:00of ministries within the body, provided they are genuinely born
- 1:00:05again and provide that.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: They love God.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Don't make business people feel less of witnesses. Don't let
- 1:00:11drama actors Christian drama ministries.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Feel less of actors.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: Don't allow worshipers those called.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: Into the worship ministry.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: You may not like the way they jump, or don't
- 1:00:23be too quick to george. Go and find out the
- 1:00:25investments they make in the secret before they come out
- 1:00:28to jump. Don't be too quick to george. Just because
- 1:00:31they sing the way you don't want does not mean
- 1:00:34they're not singing to the glory of God.
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Don't judge people called into campos ministry their.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Ministries to young people, they will.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: Wear t shirts and jeans and be jumping. Don't laugh
- 1:00:51at those who are called into the ministry of fitness
- 1:00:54and they are using it for the gospel. Their job
- 1:00:58is to tell their story from losing sources of pounds.
- 1:01:01Now I am weak and they preach Jesus. We must
- 1:01:05respect the fishing tools that every fisherman carries. Now, the
- 1:01:11truth and must balanced is that there are.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Tools that are not tools.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: For instance, if we see you standing with a knife
- 1:01:18at sea, we are not a fisher man because holding
- 1:01:21that knife that way is not a tool. So I'm
- 1:01:24not just saying we should just celebrate any tool. No,
- 1:01:27the tools may be diverse, but when you see a
- 1:01:30fishing tool, you know because you can see the assignment
- 1:01:33of that tool and you can see the result from
- 1:01:36using that tool.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Fishers of men are we learning?
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: There are many ministries that should not have died. They
- 1:01:53die today out of guilt because there was no more
- 1:01:56space for them in the body of Christ. We have
- 1:02:00fined by our understanding about God, what ministries are of
- 1:02:05God and what ministries are not of God, and in
- 1:02:09doing that maybe sincerely so, we have closed down many
- 1:02:15great ministries and it ought not to be so. How
- 1:02:20many women ministries have died today because we are tempting
- 1:02:24to manage excessies. How many music ministries have died today
- 1:02:28because we are tempting to manage excessies. How many discipleship
- 1:02:33platforms have died today simply because we did not understand
- 1:02:37the nature of their call. When you see a ministry
- 1:02:41not working in alignment, you'll be learning. The key is
- 1:02:44not to destroy it. The key is to trust God
- 1:02:47for alignment. It's someone learning. If you're learning, say amen.
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: So number one, you need to understand the sea the world.
- 1:03:06Are we learning?
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: Number two? You need to know the various kinds of fish?
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: Was he learning?
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: Number three? You need to understand the various techniques? Are
- 1:03:18we sell together the various techniques that there are several ministries.
- 1:03:23There are diversities of ministries across the body. When you
- 1:03:28see the ministry of the man who was once a
- 1:03:31madman in Gadarah, don't be quick to judge it. When
- 1:03:34you see the ministry of the woman who was once
- 1:03:37a prostitute.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Who left her waterport to run and go and call
- 1:03:41other people.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: And you see the woman who was once a prostitute saying,
- 1:03:45come see a man.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Don't be too quick to say it's not of God.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: When you see the ministry of the woman breaking her
- 1:03:51alabasta box before Jesus. Don't be quick to see the wastage.
- 1:03:55When you see the ministry of Joseph of Arimathea, his
- 1:04:00ministry was not to follow Jesus for evangelism. When you
- 1:04:03see him buying the gravesite, don't say it's a waste.
- 1:04:07That's where Jesus will be buried. Number four fishers of men.
- 1:04:15The fourth training that every fisherman needs to go through,
- 1:04:19which represents the training of a sole winner. Are you ready?
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: You must have a functional boat to gather the fish
- 1:04:29you have caught. You must have a functional boat to
- 1:04:33gather the fish you have caught. This is a very
- 1:04:36powerful one. You must have a functional boat to gather
- 1:04:41the fish you have caught. Look chapter five. Please give
- 1:04:44US four and four to six. If your boat is
- 1:04:49not strong, you can catch an amount of fish that
- 1:04:53would destroy the boat and end up destroying your life.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Look chapter five from US four.
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: Now when he had left speaking Jesus, now he said
- 1:05:02on to Simon, launch out into the deep and let
- 1:05:06down your nets for a catch, nets for a catch
- 1:05:11verse five. And Simon, answering, said onto him Master, we
- 1:05:18have toiled.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: All night and have taken nothing.
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: Nevertheless, at that word, I will let down my nets
- 1:05:25verse six. And when they had this done, watch this.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: The Bible says, they inclose a great multitude of fish.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: But there was a problem now with that harvest, and
- 1:05:38their nets break, their nets break, And I can imagine
- 1:05:44that the boat, that boat's there.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: That they now transferred everything to.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: The boat was even going down because of the size
- 1:05:54of the fish. Can I tell you there are many
- 1:05:56people who God will not give the anointing and the
- 1:05:58mantle to a certain kind of harvest because their boat,
- 1:06:03their ministerial capacity, cannot manage the kind of in gathering
- 1:06:08the you have. With all due respect, there are savants
- 1:06:14of God, there are Christian platforms. God cannot give them
- 1:06:18one thousand souls in one day. There is no boat
- 1:06:22that has been designed to keep that fish. Number one
- 1:06:26is that there is nowhere to even take those people
- 1:06:28who are saved. Are we together now? We're preparing for
- 1:06:33a sound of revival, and we have invested so much
- 1:06:38building a prayer, team, building counselors in anticipation of the
- 1:06:44kind of havevest we know and believed by faith that
- 1:06:47God is bringing. You cannot be holding a crusade, for instance,
- 1:06:51and then you train just ten counselors or two counselors.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Something is wrong with your boats, you see.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Let me tell you this. Every time you catch so
- 1:07:01much fish and.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: Your boat is too small, something happens both.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: You and the boat and the fish will be lost.
- 1:07:11Do you have systems in place to follow up the
- 1:07:15sinners that are saved? Or is it one man of
- 1:07:19God who would do everything? And you will die of
- 1:07:22stress within one month because the problem was not the harvest,
- 1:07:27It was that the boat was not efficient.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Are we learning?
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Every fisherman knows that depending on the kind of fish
- 1:07:37you want to catch, you must ensure that the boat.
- 1:07:40The boat can mean the church, The boat can mean
- 1:07:43your follow up strategy. The boat can mean the people
- 1:07:47you have raised to be able to make sure and
- 1:07:50ensure that the souls the sinners that are saved are
- 1:07:54not lost. I land this from Reinald Bunk of Blessed Memory.
- 1:08:01He used to have a pamphlet, a book called now
- 1:08:03that you are saved, the moment you are saved, So
- 1:08:07what happens? His strategy was because he didn't run a
- 1:08:10church based ministry, he usually organizes crusades in collaboration with
- 1:08:16the local assemblies. So before the crusades he would do
- 1:08:19what they call fire conference and he would train the
- 1:08:22pastors to make sure that they are efficient enough to
- 1:08:26receive the harvest.
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: After the crusades, the.
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: People who are already in various churches are distributed back
- 1:08:35to their churches, and those who do not have churches
- 1:08:39are redistributed across local assemblies. To make sure that there
- 1:08:43is a follow up system and the strategy worked.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Are we together?
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: The same has been used with many great evangelists. There's
- 1:08:54no point winning twenty thousand people, five thousand people, and
- 1:08:59as as soon as the people confess Jesus, they go back,
- 1:09:03and there.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: Is no system to help them.
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: They go back to their lives, and before you know it,
- 1:09:09you will never.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Imagine there were once saved.
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Training Number four, make sure your boat is efficient.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: There must be.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: Structures on ground, a strong follow up system, an establishments
- 1:09:25system for the havest that we desire. Your havevest will
- 1:09:32always be wasted when your boat is too small. Your
- 1:09:37havevest will always be wasted when.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: You have no boat.
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: In fact, according to scripture, no evangelist, you see the
- 1:09:48patent revealing scripture, no evangelists should go and preach without
- 1:09:54a collaboration with local assemblies for the follow up and
- 1:09:59the s establishment of believers.
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: So it is either you're the man of.
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: God who is now the fisher of men already has
- 1:10:08a structure where the people can be incorporated in, or
- 1:10:12you work in partnership with those who already have structures.
- 1:10:15That way, for everyone who is saved, you know that
- 1:10:19after one year, two years, you will still find the
- 1:10:22person in the fold. We have wasted a lot of
- 1:10:25fish after labording to catch them because the boat had
- 1:10:29a problem. If you're learning, say amen, you must have
- 1:10:37a functional boat that gods your fish.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: You must have a.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Strong follow up structure, at least a pamphlet.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: I remember those.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: Days when we started a crusades. We used to have
- 1:10:51one sheet, you know, we just write out the plan
- 1:10:54of salvation and we'll hand it over just a shit.
- 1:10:58Couldn't afford a pamphlet, and we just write a shit
- 1:11:01that is given to ownbelievers and have a system to
- 1:11:05follow them up. You've seen how we do it in Colnonia.
- 1:11:08Here that when an altar call is made, they are led.
- 1:11:11There is a group of counsel ors trained, and there
- 1:11:13is a system to begin to follow them up.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Number five.
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: If you're learning, say amen, fishers of men, are you
- 1:11:26ready for the training?
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Number five?
- 1:11:28Speaker 2: That every fisherman needs to know this, and that also
- 1:11:32applies to every fisher of men, every soul winner. You
- 1:11:38cannot effectively fish in isolation. Write that down, please, You
- 1:11:44cannot effectively Every fisherman knows this. Every fisherman is trained
- 1:11:51along this line, and every fisher of men must know this.
- 1:11:55You cannot effectively fish in isolation. Respect and engage with
- 1:12:02other fishermen. You cannot effectively fish. No matter how skilled
- 1:12:09you are, no matter how gifted you are, you cannot effectively.
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: Fish in isolation.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: Respect and engage with other fishermen. Still, look chapter five.
- 1:12:23We read four to six. Now let's read six and seven.
- 1:12:27Look chapter five, six and seven. And when they had
- 1:12:32this done, they enclose a great multitude of fishes and
- 1:12:37their nets break shout.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: For seven place as you see projected. Ready want to read?
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: And they backon onto their partners which were in the
- 1:12:48other sheep, that they should come and help them, And
- 1:12:52they came and fill both ships so that they began
- 1:12:57to sing. This is the implication of praying for harvest.
- 1:13:01This is the implication of soul winning. Soul winning can
- 1:13:05sink your boat when you do it alone. It can
- 1:13:09sink your boat financially, the demands it takes to maintain
- 1:13:15the souls that are now saved.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: It is a reason why.
- 1:13:18Speaker 2: When we're organizing global conferences like this, we're not afraid
- 1:13:22to tell people come join join in anyway financially through
- 1:13:26your prayer, because no matter how great you are as
- 1:13:30a fisherman, the kind of harvest God wants to bring
- 1:13:35may sink your boat if it's only your boat. So
- 1:13:38one financial helper can help your boat stand. One prayer
- 1:13:42helper can help your boat stand. Are we together now?
- 1:13:48There are many people's boats that have sung or are
- 1:13:52sinking now, and they are genuine fishermen because of this
- 1:13:57ministry or this this false approach to ministry of standing alone.
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: No even Jesus needed help.
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: He had to carry the cross, but he fell on
- 1:14:12the way and they called on someone to help him.
- 1:14:15Let me tell you the truth as a sole winer,
- 1:14:19as a fisher of men, do not be afraid to
- 1:14:23join hands with fellow fishermen to produce greater efficiency.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: Right from the.
- 1:14:29Speaker 2: Infancy of this ministry, as we organized crusades, we would
- 1:14:33always open.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Up doors to groups and other.
- 1:14:39Speaker 2: Ministries who believe in what we stand for. It's always
- 1:14:44been a collaborative effort. You know why because in many
- 1:14:48cases the weight of the harvest spiritually. So there are
- 1:14:53people who are already praying now for sound of revival.
- 1:14:56There is a prayer team. You prayed for it today
- 1:14:59and it cont up until that time. Because no matter
- 1:15:02how anointed I am, no matter how anointed we are,
- 1:15:06this is a body ministry. There are people today who
- 1:15:09are not even part of the coin on your family,
- 1:15:12but have taken it as an intercessory project. They are
- 1:15:15the helpers. No matter how anointed you are. This ministry
- 1:15:21of soul winning is not for one person. You can
- 1:15:25be a professional fisherman. If the fish is too much
- 1:15:29in your boat, you will still sink. You will sink financially,
- 1:15:36you will sink in terms of your.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: Stretching of yourself.
- 1:15:42Speaker 2: With all due respect, when you read the Weld's revival.
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: I'm speaking to the globe Evan Roberts.
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: According to history, as much as we have read, one
- 1:15:56of the reasons why the man died young. He was
- 1:16:00one of the youngest of the generals recorded that died.
- 1:16:03And what killed him was not a demonic attack. What
- 1:16:07killed him was stress because the reviver was breaking out
- 1:16:12their awakenings. I mean, fire was all over the place.
- 1:16:16He needed to be everywhere at the same time, and
- 1:16:20there were no helpers.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: His boat was sinking till he died.
- 1:16:25Speaker 2: There are many pastors who have died today because they
- 1:16:28would not embrace to say, you know what, I can't
- 1:16:31preach in a crusette ground, but I don't have the
- 1:16:33grace to follow up on believers.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: I don't have the patience to follow up one.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Hundred complicated people. But there is a pastor who was
- 1:16:40a pastor by ordination. He can follow up the most
- 1:16:44top board member. Why don't you lean on the advantage
- 1:16:49of their grace for efficiency training number five, You cannot
- 1:16:58effectively fish in isolation, respect and engage with other fishermen.
- 1:17:06Jesus himself told us that the major problem with the
- 1:17:09harvest is not the harvest, is the laborers. In Matthew
- 1:17:14chapter nine and verse thirty seven, he says, surely the
- 1:17:17harvest is wide, but the laborers a few.
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: That's the problem. There are few.
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: Hands relative to the amount of souls to be saved.
- 1:17:28And you will think because there are so many preachers,
- 1:17:31so many churches, and sending this to you, because if
- 1:17:34God has called you particularly uniquely to the ministry of
- 1:17:39so willy, don't say there are the Joshua Sealmans, there
- 1:17:42are this and that.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: No. The havevest is.
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: Why how many countries can you go to in a year?
- 1:17:50How many salmons can you preach? There are only fifty
- 1:17:53two weeks, ladies and gentlemen in a year. If you
- 1:17:56preach one salmon, one evangelical salmon per week, you only have.
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Fifty two in a year.
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: I was very touched when some gentlemen began to, you know,
- 1:18:13find a way of translating a message, particularly to the
- 1:18:16Francophone nation. I've visited a few of their nations, and
- 1:18:21I've seen the hunger, and sometimes I feel so sad
- 1:18:25because of this language barrier, but the hunger to learn.
- 1:18:33Do you know that because of the hunger, some of
- 1:18:36them had to learn English so that they could understand
- 1:18:40these teachings very powerful communication.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: Of zeal.
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: Being official of men of men would require a lot
- 1:18:53of collaboration, a lot of collaboration, a lot of collaboration. Listen,
- 1:19:00many more hands I wrote here and needed for this work.
- 1:19:04Let us not discourage and destroy the hands already available.
- 1:19:09We are still looking for more hands. Let's not destroy
- 1:19:12the hands that are available. If the hands are weak,
- 1:19:16what they need is to be.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Strengthened, not destroyed. Not destroyed, not destroyed.
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: What we need is not to destroy the hands that
- 1:19:27are available. What we need is to strengthen the hands
- 1:19:31that are available. And ineffective fisherman is still a fisherman.
- 1:19:36He just needs more training, He just needs more curifying,
- 1:19:39he just needs more mentorship. But by the time a
- 1:19:43large sea has only six or seven fishermen, when sharks
- 1:19:48begin to come out, that's when you will see that
- 1:19:50more hands are needed. Because sharks are in the sea too,
- 1:19:55Whales are in the sea too, or that that seas
- 1:19:58creatures are in the seat, the ones that science has not.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Even seen are in the sea too. We need more hands.
- 1:20:06Let me tell you the truth. We need more hands.
- 1:20:10We need more hands. On campus. Yes, Ago I used
- 1:20:14to do a lot of campus ministry. Now I don't
- 1:20:16do so much of that. Again, the time and the
- 1:20:18logs is not even there.
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: But more hands are needed because for many people who
- 1:20:23genuinely started experiencing God, especially in our generation, for most
- 1:20:28of them, they are defining season spiritually started on campus.
- 1:20:32If campuses a void of real witnesses, there will be
- 1:20:35a problem there because Satan has positioned men to there.
- 1:20:39How about secondary school ministries. We start at fcs right
- 1:20:43from secondary school. Remember there are many secondary schools now.
- 1:20:47Where you go there to preach, you will start crying.
- 1:20:50The children will ask you questions as an adult that
- 1:20:52you want to cry. You know why, because they've left
- 1:20:55all of them. The corruption starts from the teachers themselves.
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: With all due respect, the kinds of.
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: Things the teachers say as they teach, behave as they.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: Teach is what begins to destroy the students. Right from
- 1:21:08secondary school, primary school and elementary classes.
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: There needs to be fishers of men positioned. There are
- 1:21:21some of you. God to give you a Monday to
- 1:21:23start a school, not just for money. You can make
- 1:21:26money through and any other business, but it would be
- 1:21:28embodying in your heart. You will not be able to
- 1:21:30run away from Do you know why? Because the fish
- 1:21:34that your net will be that school that will bring
- 1:21:37all kinds of people, the next apostles, the next prophets.
- 1:21:43I think about my life today, and I look at
- 1:21:45the various stages of my life and the corresponding encounters
- 1:21:50that have built me by grace to what I am now.
- 1:21:53What if they were not there? What if those fishers
- 1:21:55of men were not there? What if they were ignored?
- 1:21:58What if they were discouring?
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: Pray in one minute, Lord, send labor us, Send labor us,
- 1:22:07Send labor us, Please pray in one minute, Lord, we
- 1:22:10still need more laborers.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: Labor Us as preachers, labor Us as kingdom driven businessmen.
- 1:22:17Labor Us as Christian groups serving.
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: The purposes of God.
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: Labor Us as apostles on fire, labor Us as prophets
- 1:22:26on fire, labor Us as teach us on fire, go
- 1:22:30ahead and pray. Labor Us as missionaries, labor Us as
- 1:22:34mission groups. The harvest is why we need more hands.
- 1:22:46We need more hands. Allelujah. Now let me tell you something.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I'm still on point five as I studied this scripture.
- 1:22:54The Lord means that something to me.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: In Matthew Chapter four, twenty one and twenty two.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Just because you are a fisherman.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: And you are already fishing, does not mean you will
- 1:23:10not continue training.
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: I need to say this.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Because there are many fishermen like there are many preachers.
- 1:23:18I must say this, there are many fisher men like
- 1:23:22there are many, with all due respect, churches and ministries.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: The problem is not the zeal.
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: The problem is something is wrong with the fishing strategy.
- 1:23:33Let me show you something here, Matthew Chapter four, twenty
- 1:23:36one and twenty two, and going on from tens, he
- 1:23:42saw all the two brethren haven't called Peter and Andrew.
- 1:23:46The Bible says he saw James, the son of Zebedi,
- 1:23:50and John in a ship with Zebedi, their father. What
- 1:23:55were they doing, please, shouted, mending their nets? What were
- 1:23:59they doing? One more time he still called them too,
- 1:24:05something was wrong with your nets. And they were not ashamed.
- 1:24:10They stopped fishing. They took a break from fishing to
- 1:24:14fix your nets. There are many fishers of men in
- 1:24:17the Body of Christ that may need to take a
- 1:24:20break and mend your nets. Just because you are mending
- 1:24:23your nets, your nets can mean your character. Your nets
- 1:24:27can mean something wrong, and approach wrong mentorship you received
- 1:24:32the ministry.
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Now you have found a light.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Stop fishing, man your nets, Men, your nets.
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: The Bible says.
- 1:24:41Speaker 2: Even though he saw that something was wrong with your nets.
- 1:24:44I like the last sentence, he still called them. There
- 1:24:49are many fishers of men today at their current state.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: Your fishing will.
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: Be ineffective because something is wrong with your nets, the
- 1:25:00Bible says, And I like this when it has to
- 1:25:04do with mending the nets. Both the fathers and sons
- 1:25:08sat down to men their nets. It is not only
- 1:25:11sons that met their nets, the Bible says John, his
- 1:25:15brother was there, and their own father, Zabdi. They all
- 1:25:19sat down. Something is wrong with the way we have
- 1:25:21been doing church. Let's reorder our steps. Something is wrong
- 1:25:25with the way we have been doing ministry. It's not
- 1:25:27bringing efficiency to souls. Mend their nets? Are we learning now?
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: But the beautiful statement there is that Jesus saw.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: Them mending their nets, and he said, that's it. You
- 1:25:40have passed the test to be fishers of men. Indeed, come,
- 1:25:47just because he called you does not mean he's released
- 1:25:51you to fish. Sometimes the reason why he's calling you
- 1:25:54is because he saw repentance. God, you are ready he
- 1:25:58saw genuine repent. He so brokenness that you are willing
- 1:26:03to do ministry right. Men your nets, This may be
- 1:26:08a message for someone. You are called what men your nets?
- 1:26:12You are called what men your nets? Men your nets
- 1:26:15by mending character. Men your nets by bringing out the draws,
- 1:26:20all the impurities that don't allow you do ministry well.
- 1:26:23Men your nets by taking away hatred.
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Men your nets by going.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: For forther ministerial training and learn the other aspects of
- 1:26:31ministry that makes for efficiency. Learn man your net by
- 1:26:36adding financial principles to how you are doing ministry. Man
- 1:26:39your nets by learning administrative principles so that your witness
- 1:26:44is efficient. Man your nets by incorcating prayer in your ministry.
- 1:26:49Learn man your nets by incorcreating the Word of God.
- 1:26:53Whatever is missing can affect your net. Men your nets.
- 1:26:58This is not a message tell them. It's a message
- 1:27:00for the body of Christ. I like the fact that
- 1:27:03when it has to do with mendy nets, whether you
- 1:27:06are a son or you are zebede, sit down, men
- 1:27:10your nets, till the nations ciegsus lifted up, exalted, till
- 1:27:26the nations cigses lifted up. Please hear this preacher, There
- 1:27:39are many, many nets that need to be mended. The
- 1:27:43reason why we're not catching fish is not because.
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: We are not called. He called us. But there are
- 1:27:49many mendings that need to be done.
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: It's someone learning, now, business man, men your nets. Worship
- 1:27:58minister you are, but this excess is connected to the worship.
- 1:28:03Ministry is tearing your net. Men your net, go for
- 1:28:07a retreat and men your net. You're a great preacher,
- 1:28:11but this anger that comes together with your preaching.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Men your nets.
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: You love Jesus, but you love money to men your nets.
- 1:28:23Someone say, man your nets. You're talking to yourself, or
- 1:28:26say men your nets. Yes, sir, yes, sir. When I
- 1:28:32read this scripture, listen. When I read this scripture, I
- 1:28:36took out time. I started praying for myself. First listen,
- 1:28:40gone at the days where you allow pride and ego
- 1:28:43to destroy you. If you find your net tearing, even
- 1:28:48if you are sebody, sit down. If you are, I
- 1:28:51hope you know who James and John were. These guys
- 1:28:54were not ordinary people. James was a powerful apostle. Eventually
- 1:28:58he would become John became the beloved. But for them
- 1:29:02to become the beloved and James the powerful, they had
- 1:29:06to sit down. I like the fact that the Bible
- 1:29:09did not say their father told them, who are men
- 1:29:11your nets?
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: I am a father.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Fathers can mend their nets. Sons can mend your nets.
- 1:29:18Experience in ministry does not stop your nets from tearing.
- 1:29:22In fact, the older you are, I suspect the nets
- 1:29:25can tear. Men your nets when it has to do
- 1:29:31with mandy nets.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: There is no pride over experience. I've been in.
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: Ministry ten years, twenty years, with all due respect, that
- 1:29:39is worthy of not but men your nets, because sometimes
- 1:29:43nets here just because of use, they don't hear.
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: Because of carelessness.
- 1:29:49Speaker 2: By the time you have been prosecuted for ten years
- 1:29:52non stop, maybe offense would have crept in men your
- 1:29:56nets by the time you have now become a milli
- 1:30:00or a billionere Chances are excellent that the values that
- 1:30:04you kept when you started may become promised because there's.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: No need for money again, Men your nexts. Can we
- 1:30:12pray for the body of Christ in one minute? Before
- 1:30:14I continue, Lord, we pray, go ahead and pray.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: We pray for apostles and prophets and evangelists and teachers.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: Come and pray. Now we pray for business men.
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: We pray for captains of kingdom, driven, captains of industry,
- 1:30:32lord like Zebedee, like gems like John. We are in
- 1:30:37a season where God is mendy nets, and this is
- 1:30:42everybody's called. Men your nexts apostle, men your nets, you
- 1:30:47are called, But men your nexts prophets and your nets.
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: Evangelists.
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: Men your nets, collinonia, Men your nets.
- 1:30:58Speaker 1: Everyone can mend your next.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: Check your net, men your nets, anger, character, failure, inefficiency, ministry.
- 1:31:10Man your next you are called, but your witness, being official,
- 1:31:16men will be ineffective until you men your next.
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: In Jesus' name, we pray. Let's read that scripture again.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: And then I moved to the six point and going
- 1:31:36from Tens, he saw two orther what say, brethren that
- 1:31:42seemed to be part of the fold games, the son
- 1:31:47of Zebedee and John his brother.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: They were in a sheep.
- 1:31:55Speaker 2: When you have this sheep, that is a flourishing ministry,
- 1:32:00when you have nets.
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: And your father was there.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: With them, but he said mending their nets. And Jesus
- 1:32:07was impressed that you have a sheep and you still
- 1:32:11have the humility to sit down. Father together with his family,
- 1:32:16he called them. He said come. It should be part
- 1:32:19of this move Men your netsrand those men your nets.
- 1:32:28The mending can be restoring prayer to your prayerlessness. The
- 1:32:33mending can be cutting away from certain destructive ministerial associations.
- 1:32:38Are we together that have taught you things that were
- 1:32:42not part of the foundation of your knowing God? There
- 1:32:45is a way we do ministry. There is a way
- 1:32:47we make money from ministry. You may need to mend
- 1:32:49your nets. Your call is genuine, but in partnership with.
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: Some of these wrong associations, it may not work out
- 1:32:56well for you. Men.
- 1:32:58Speaker 2: Your nets may be to be restored back to that
- 1:33:01ministry as a father, as a mother, to do it
- 1:33:04the way you should do it. Again, hear this as
- 1:33:09a prophetic word. It is true that you are called,
- 1:33:12but there is need for mending. Mend your needs. Number
- 1:33:17six are we learning? We're discussing the fishers of men?
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: The sixth training.
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: That every fisherman must go through to be effective, and
- 1:33:33that applies to every fisher of men and every weakness.
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: Are you ready for this?
- 1:33:39Speaker 2: Fishing requires great patience, persistence, and discipline. Fishing requires great patience,
- 1:33:53persistence and discipline. Fishing require great patience, persistence and discipline.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: Do I say it in another way?
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: Sol winning requires great patience, persistence and discipline. Life phishing,
- 1:34:19sol winning requires great patience, persistence, and discipline. Wrap top
- 1:34:28with genuine compassion. Oh, you must add that one. Sol
- 1:34:34winning is a game without compassion. Compassion is what makes
- 1:34:40soul waning authentic, not ministry. Compassion Are we learning efficient?
- 1:34:51Chapter two plays from verse one to six. I have
- 1:34:55a very strong message here, and I believe this will
- 1:34:59help to support the strengthening of the body of Christ.
- 1:35:03Soul winning, like fishing, requires great patience, discipline, persistence, wraptop
- 1:35:12with compassion.
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: Can I tell you this?
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: Sometimes the reason why we don't catch fish is that
- 1:35:19we get to the sea with such anger the sea.
- 1:35:23We make it so boister us. The fish run away,
- 1:35:26and by the time we throw the next there is
- 1:35:28nothing to catch.
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: There is a skill to catching fish. Sometimes silence is
- 1:35:33the skill.
- 1:35:35Speaker 2: You drop the next there, and you keep quiet and endear.
- 1:35:39Then the fish come and you catch them. Our impatience
- 1:35:44with the world of the unsafe it's one of the
- 1:35:47reasons why they run away.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: Are we together now? I think that there is a
- 1:35:54growing head tread for.
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: The unbelieving world, and it ought not to be so.
- 1:36:01God never called us to hate on people simply because
- 1:36:05they are not spiritual. It's a dangerous orientation. You cannot
- 1:36:10hate somebody, faberalize and vocalize or hatred then wants the
- 1:36:15person to be saved. No, an unsaved person is not
- 1:36:20necessarily a failure. An unsaved person is just one whose
- 1:36:24eternal destiny is not yet in place. But as far
- 1:36:28as I all this concern, an unsaid person can be
- 1:36:31a very successful person.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Don't downplay their results.
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: You cannot hate on a people and want them to
- 1:36:41be saved.
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: No, are we together.
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: The level of anger an aggression that we communicate towards
- 1:36:54the unbelieving world. In my opinion, and respectfully so, I
- 1:37:00think it's.
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: Too harsh to bring that fish to our nets.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: Now we're not calling to the ministry of condoning just whatever.
- 1:37:08But there's something you need to know about an unsaved person.
- 1:37:12An unsaved person is under the influence of the Prince
- 1:37:16of the power of the air. Give us efficients two.
- 1:37:19Let me show you something efficients to please from verse one,
- 1:37:23and you have here quickened, who were dead in trespasses?
- 1:37:28Did you see that dead in what trespasses unsin that
- 1:37:33is the state of an unsaved person. Verse two, when
- 1:37:37in time past Paul was reminding the church and ephisods
- 1:37:42that once upon.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: A time you were like this too.
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: You want according to the cause of this world, according
- 1:37:50to the Prince of the power of the air, the
- 1:37:53spirit that now now currently works in the children of disobedience,
- 1:38:00There is a spirit that makes the unseat behave the
- 1:38:04way they behave. Are we together? They are not just
- 1:38:08doing it. They have their will, but that will has
- 1:38:11been hijacked and manipulated. When you look at an unsaved
- 1:38:15person from this lens, it to plants compassion, not hatred.
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: Verse three.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: Among whom we also had our conversation in time past,
- 1:38:27watch this fulfilling the lost of our flesh, and fulfilling
- 1:38:32the desires of the flesh and of the mind, And
- 1:38:36were by nature naturally children of wrath, even among others
- 1:38:42vers for Hallelujah.
- 1:38:44Speaker 1: But God, who is rich in what not rich in power?
- 1:38:49Speaker 2: When it has to do with the business of the
- 1:38:52fishing men, messy must precede power. When you have power
- 1:38:59without messy, you will use it to trouble the sea,
- 1:39:02and you would drive it.
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: Takes power to trouble the sea.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: But it takes your messy to be patient, knowing that
- 1:39:10the fish are under in this case the world. I'm
- 1:39:13believing world. They are under an influence that is greater
- 1:39:16than them. If they could help themselves, Jesus would not
- 1:39:19come to die. But God, who is rich and messy
- 1:39:24for his great love, wherewith he loved us verse five,
- 1:39:29even when we were dead in sins. Watch this have
- 1:39:32quickened us together with Christ by grace He has saved
- 1:39:36verse six, the Bible says, and had raised us up
- 1:39:40together and made us to sit together in heavenly places.
- 1:39:45Speaker 1: Let me tell you the truth, by the privilege of
- 1:39:48God's grace, I am a soul winner.
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: I've been in this business of soul winning for many,
- 1:39:54many years. This is one area I can tell you
- 1:39:57by messy that I understand. And some of the greatest
- 1:40:01harvests that have come came.
- 1:40:03Speaker 1: To compassion, not power. Compassion.
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: There are people serving in this ministry today. If you
- 1:40:11at the time they were saved, you will not believe
- 1:40:13that God could Turnsaul to Paul. Are we together now
- 1:40:17venting out hatred, venting out anger and annoyance against an
- 1:40:22unbelieving world? Listen to me you are. Any time you
- 1:40:26begin to communicate a sense of self righteousness, you lose
- 1:40:31that ability to reach sin us. Everybody was a sinner
- 1:40:36in iniquity? Did my mother conceive me? Let us not
- 1:40:39forget how God saved us. There are two things I
- 1:40:42want to tell you to help you, and I believe
- 1:40:44this extends to the body of Christ. If you have
- 1:40:48been guilty in an area of sin before, be careful
- 1:40:53how you speak about it now that you are saved.
- 1:40:56The fact that you were a victim. There were others
- 1:40:59who were free while you were a victim. See Messy
- 1:41:02saved you. Never forget that you could not help yourself.
- 1:41:06It was Messy that saved you. Extend the same. There
- 1:41:10is a way a one's victim should not speak. Did
- 1:41:15you know what I said? This is spiritual maturity. Once
- 1:41:19you have been a victim of any major aspect of
- 1:41:24sin or life, even if you repent, there is a way.
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: You cannot speak.
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: Again, Messy must be before you, because if you could
- 1:41:35help yourself while you were in that rot, there were
- 1:41:38those who were free.
- 1:41:39Speaker 1: But they gave you a chance to discover.
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: Give other people a chance to Sometimes we forget how
- 1:41:46God helped us, and we stand in self righteousness and
- 1:41:49begin to shout and say all kinds of things.
- 1:41:52Speaker 1: I repeat this, and let Christ here.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: If you were once in any rot or in any scene,
- 1:42:01and God helped you, even though you.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: Are helped now I am saying it.
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: There is a way you cannot preach again the fact
- 1:42:10that you were one soul now that you have become Paul.
- 1:42:15You see you are said by grace, but that inno
- 1:42:19sense has gone. There are certain things you cannot say again.
- 1:42:23You remain an advocate of compassion for the rest of
- 1:42:26your life.
- 1:42:28Speaker 1: You are the one that we praise.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: You are the one were at all.
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: You give the healing angrace that are heart souls.
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: Oh listen, you were a tief before you repented. Be
- 1:42:56mindful how you talk to thieves. You were in more
- 1:43:00before you repented. Be mindful how you talk to immoral people.
- 1:43:04You were in anger before you repented. Be mindful that
- 1:43:08you were a victim of it.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: Should plant a greater compassion.
- 1:43:13Speaker 2: Because if you could not help yourself, you should be
- 1:43:16touched with the feelings of people's infirmity even more than
- 1:43:19those who were innocent. An unbrothera was become saved should
- 1:43:23not preach you an unbroba say if he never was
- 1:43:25once No, if someone becoming mature. Now, you were once
- 1:43:31a prostitute, with all due respect, yes, I know that
- 1:43:35Raha changed, but once upon a time you were prostitute.
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: So when you.
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: See a prostitute, don't tell her what a shame you're
- 1:43:43in prostitution.
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: Don't do that. You were once there.
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: It was the intercession of compassionate people that brought it
- 1:43:51to a point where the hand of God could reach you.
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: Are we learning now?
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: Yes, you were once an irresponsible father, clearly irresponsible, but
- 1:44:03now God has helped you. The next time you see
- 1:44:05an irresponsible father, draw from your pain.
- 1:44:09Speaker 1: I know what it feels.
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: This is the reason why when Jesus became a man.
- 1:44:13You see, when he went up to heaven, he didn't
- 1:44:16stop intercession. I know what it means to be on
- 1:44:20it and to be persecuted. I know what it means
- 1:44:24to be betrayed. So when he sits at the right
- 1:44:27hand of the Father, he does not point fingers as saying, ah,
- 1:44:30you are supposed to preach as a preacher. Why are
- 1:44:33you tired? It's an embarrassment. He will remember when he
- 1:44:37fell on the way to gold Gotter. We have not
- 1:44:40a high priest who has not been touched. This is
- 1:44:43the part of the ministry of the Body we need
- 1:44:47to restore. There are many people who have been victims
- 1:44:50of yesterday, and this is not a call for condemnation,
- 1:44:54but that in your conversion, do not forget the abundance
- 1:44:58of messy that helped you. If other's a chance, it's
- 1:45:02not only Saul that became Paul. There are others too,
- 1:45:06even Demus. If he repents, he can't find life. Someone learning.
- 1:45:17There are many wounded people in the Body of Christ
- 1:45:20who have great grace upon their lives.
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: We must be very careful.
- 1:45:25Speaker 2: There are many younger people rising. They may make mistakes
- 1:45:29with your lives. Please do not misunderstand me. We are
- 1:45:33never giving the mandate to endorse or condon't sin. No,
- 1:45:37but I can't tell you with all due respect, you
- 1:45:40see when it has to do with this issue of
- 1:45:43sin and righteousness, by just leave it to God. You
- 1:45:47only talk about the one you know Ah with all
- 1:45:51due respect. You see in our world today, people who
- 1:45:53have been many years in ministry, some of them are
- 1:45:56sincerely coming out to say, look, I can't live a
- 1:45:58false life again. I've been living like this for thirty years.
- 1:46:01Say experience, say experience, say it again thirty years and
- 1:46:06Ministry's experience. But it does not immune you. It's only
- 1:46:10God that knows the true state of everybody. The day
- 1:46:13Jesus will come back, there will be surprises. Surprises are
- 1:46:22weay together. There are many seas today that don't have
- 1:46:30fish around there again, you know why people came with
- 1:46:33power and self righteousness.
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: A man who was.
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: Once an irresponsible man, now, for instance, God has helped you.
- 1:46:44You have repented. You are now a responsible man. Husband
- 1:46:47to your wife. When you are talking to another irresponsible man,
- 1:46:50don't forget.
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: You were once there.
- 1:46:52Speaker 2: Don't trouble the sea so much that the fish will
- 1:46:56run away and you are wondering why the net is
- 1:46:58not catching anything.
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: Is the reason why sinners.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: Don't come to church again, because it has become an aggressive.
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: Place of hostility.
- 1:47:06Speaker 2: We will preach against sin, will preach against on righteousness,
- 1:47:10but not from a standpoint of self perfection, because by
- 1:47:15the righteousness of the law, the righteousness of ourselves, nobody
- 1:47:19can stand before God.
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: Allelujah. There are many wounded people today in the body
- 1:47:28of Christ. They cannot run anywhere to find help.
- 1:47:31Speaker 2: Do you know why, because everywhere has become a place
- 1:47:35with a sword. One time Peter removed the sword and
- 1:47:37Jesus told him put your sword back. Now it's not
- 1:47:40the time for swords. We need to be careful. We
- 1:47:43need to be careful again. I remind you when it has.
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: To do with the business of working on yourself.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: Whether you are Zebedee, you are John, or you are James,
- 1:47:55sit down and mend your nets.
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: Are we together? We've driven many, many, many fishes. Let
- 1:48:09me tell you so when it requires great patience, great patience.
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: Have studied many revivals, and sometimes it is amazing how
- 1:48:19many people keep interceeding over these lands for years until
- 1:48:23fire finally falls. How many of you know that there
- 1:48:26are women who have prayed for their children and for ten.
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: Fifteen years they kept interceeding.
- 1:48:32Speaker 2: You will never think the child will be saved. One
- 1:48:35day they just saw the child after twenty years of
- 1:48:39not seeing him. He came back with a bible. What
- 1:48:42is all this one now? He said, My mom a preacher,
- 1:48:44and he says, hallelujah. So I was going to see
- 1:48:47a preacher in my lifetime. What if you looked at
- 1:48:49the child, What if you told them I like the
- 1:48:52story of the prodigal son and the father. Do you
- 1:48:57know that even when the son went afar off, the
- 1:49:00father had everything to himself, but he could not rest.
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: I know my son is somewhere, provided he is alife.
- 1:49:07There is hope for him, provided he's alive. One day
- 1:49:11he just felt within himself. The man left his house
- 1:49:15and said, I will leave the ninety nine. Let me
- 1:49:17begin to look for that one.
- 1:49:18Speaker 2: And it coincided with when the one prodigal son said,
- 1:49:21you know what, I will sit here in pride and shame.
- 1:49:24I will arise and go to my father and I
- 1:49:27will say, father, I have seen against you. Now, if
- 1:49:30you go to your father with your hand in your
- 1:49:32pocket and say, after all, it's just a slight glitch
- 1:49:36in character, you are you are?
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: You must be.
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: Something is wrong with that son. He should return back
- 1:49:40to the swine. That is not a glitch in character.
- 1:49:45Many years with the swine. You need to come with
- 1:49:48a heart broken.
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: But when brokenness is there, compassion must follow. He held
- 1:49:56him and kissed him.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: The Bible says, restored his signet ring back home and said,
- 1:50:01put music together. But the elder son, who committed the
- 1:50:08same crime as the younger son.
- 1:50:10Speaker 1: The only difference is that.
- 1:50:11Speaker 2: One did it in his heart, whereas the other one.
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: Acted it out. Two of them were prodigal sons.
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: One was prodigal in his heart, nothing.
- 1:50:19Speaker 1: Bitterness and anger. The same way.
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: Someone committed adultery fornication in his heart. Another person committed
- 1:50:27theft and lost in his heart, whereas another person acted
- 1:50:30it out and had physical consequences. Two of them would
- 1:50:33stand as the elder son and the younger son. But
- 1:50:36I tell you before that Father, all of them need redemption.
- 1:50:40The story of the Prodigal Song was not about one child.
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: It was about the compassion of the father to his
- 1:50:46two sons. Are we learning now? This is very important.
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: If we keep destroying our wounded soldiers in the body
- 1:50:55of Christ, a time will come will stear up that
- 1:51:00that all the fish that should be saved will not
- 1:51:03be there again. I pray that the time will never
- 1:51:06come when the only people in church are old people,
- 1:51:09because all the young people would have run away. We
- 1:51:12have driven them with our sense of self righteousness. We
- 1:51:16will never tolerate evil, never tolerate licentiousness. But let me
- 1:51:20tell you one truth, ladies and gentlemen, we must obtain
- 1:51:23grace from God to show compassion. I will repeat it
- 1:51:28one last time. If you have ever been a victim
- 1:51:32of any lifestyle, anything at ald that is not good,
- 1:51:36and God showed you messy, there is a way you.
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: Should not preach. No.
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: If you are a man of God and you did
- 1:51:43ministry wrong, and God help you, I hope you know
- 1:51:47that when you are in error, not everybody is in error.
- 1:51:51There are people who are already out, but they were
- 1:51:53patienting you found grace, Allow others pray intercede. This has
- 1:51:59been my philosophy ministry. As you point hands at people,
- 1:52:07one day, you find out you're pointing a hand at
- 1:52:10your own child. And because you have refused to take
- 1:52:13that hand back, when you want to retract, the people
- 1:52:15say leave that hand there, because that hand has.
- 1:52:17Speaker 1: Always been there. Ah.
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: When you keep pointing hands and say george them, george them.
- 1:52:23One day, as you say george them, you find out
- 1:52:25the hand you are pointing is your wife, and you
- 1:52:28want to bring it down and say no. The same
- 1:52:30rule applies to everybody.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: Allelujah. I have met powerful people today.
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: I have met preachers who have come to me with
- 1:52:41charms and seid a personal. I love the Lord sincerely,
- 1:52:46but I was serving this and that and that. This
- 1:52:48one happened, but I'm genuinely called.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: Now. You don't help those people by saying, okay, that's fine,
- 1:52:54you are fine. You are not fine. There is still
- 1:52:57a net to be mended.
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: However, not stop the fact that God called them. There
- 1:53:04are many young people, maybe campost people, with all their energy,
- 1:53:08doing ministry wrongly.
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: But it does not mean they're not called.
- 1:53:11Speaker 2: They just need mentorship and guidance to let them know
- 1:53:15you can become.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: But not this way. Let us not lose both the
- 1:53:19harvest and.
- 1:53:22Speaker 2: The fishes simply because we are troubling the sea. The
- 1:53:27ministerial sea Nigeria is too troubled. The ministerial sea in
- 1:53:32Africa is too troubled. The ministerial sea world over is
- 1:53:36too troubled. You don't catch fish by troubling the sea
- 1:53:40too much.
- 1:53:41Speaker 1: There is a skill to effective witness. There are times
- 1:53:46when you need to be silent. You see the wisdom
- 1:53:49of the fathers now that sometimes we see them silent.
- 1:53:53They are not silent because they are not seeing what
- 1:53:56is going on in the sea. They are silent because
- 1:53:58their nets they are put under. They're allowing the fish come.
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: Then they fold the net, and now they can sort
- 1:54:05out everything.
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: Let me tell you the truth.
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: If you want ministry, especially to the nations, you are
- 1:54:14going to have to come with a compassionate heart. There
- 1:54:17are things I believe as a man.
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: Of God, there.
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: Are things that this ministry believes and stands for. But
- 1:54:26in dealing with a global audience, you will have to
- 1:54:30create a lot of flexibility for several things.
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: Not compromises, but several things. You will have to keep.
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: Your reservations, but obtain the grace to stretch a bit
- 1:54:43to be able to accommodate a large collection of fish.
- 1:54:48Not everybody will dress the way you want. Not everybody
- 1:54:51would talk the way you want. Not everybody will behave
- 1:54:55at the moment you want as the way you want.
- 1:54:58Not everybody will come to church or come for that
- 1:55:00CU say the way you want. Our advocacy is to
- 1:55:04stand for righteousness without compromise, But that in doing so,
- 1:55:09there is a skill to fishing where you throw your
- 1:55:12net before the fish arrives, so when they are coming
- 1:55:16in their variety, you keep quiet.
- 1:55:19Speaker 1: Your silence is not weakness.
- 1:55:21Speaker 2: You are allowing the silence of the sea to bring
- 1:55:24the fish so that when you close the net now
- 1:55:27they are within your reach and.
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: You can safe even to the outermost. Are we learning?
- 1:55:44As a man of God. You will go to preach somewhere.
- 1:55:47Speaker 2: You will see people dress anyhow in very disturbing ways.
- 1:55:50That may not be your philosophy, but you will need
- 1:55:53to have a bit of accommodation. I preach in all
- 1:55:56kinds of places, and sometimes people do all kinds of thing.
- 1:56:00Some of those practices will not happen in Coridonia, by
- 1:56:03the grace of God, but you will need to have
- 1:56:06flexibility enough. That's why God invited you for the program,
- 1:56:10because he saw that something was wrong and in your preaching.
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: If in love, light will come and adjustment. You see,
- 1:56:18nets I repeat again, can be mended. In facts can
- 1:56:24be changed.
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: You can literally throw the old net, the old way
- 1:56:30of doing ministry, the old way of doing life, and
- 1:56:35then carry a new net. Sometimes the nets can be
- 1:56:40damaged beyond mending. You may need to throw it, and God,
- 1:56:45the real fish out of men, can give you a
- 1:56:48new net.
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: Are we learning?
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: Let me encourage before we get to the final key.
- 1:57:02Soul winning requires great patience, men and women of God,
- 1:57:07all who are the cotting edge of fishing men.
- 1:57:11Speaker 1: Let us learn this.
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: Messy and compassion must precede power. Messy and compassion must
- 1:57:21precede power.
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: Go ahead of power.
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: There are times that messy and compassion will tame power
- 1:57:30and say power. Now is not the time to act.
- 1:57:33Be silent and wait first. Let the fish come. When
- 1:57:37you are about lifting the net, that's when you need power.
- 1:57:41Speaker 1: But before the.
- 1:57:42Speaker 2: Fish arrives, you may need messy and you may need compassion.
- 1:57:46Messy and compassion is not in definite tolerance of evil. No,
- 1:57:52it's not in definite tolerance of cheerlessness and compromises. No.
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: But I can tell you study from the life of Jesus.
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: I wish I had the time would have gone to
- 1:58:02look nineteen. You would have seen what happened in the
- 1:58:06house of Zachios. That's what happened in the house of Zachios.
- 1:58:10The statement to seek and say the loss came as
- 1:58:13a result of the anger of the people. The Bible
- 1:58:16tells us that Jesus was on his way going and
- 1:58:18Zacchios climbed the tree because he was a short man,
- 1:58:22and Jesus saw him and said, Zachios, you climbed the
- 1:58:25tree just to see me.
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: You know what that means that even though.
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: The man was a corrupt tax collector, when he was
- 1:58:31alone in his house, something in him told him, this
- 1:58:34is not the way. Most of the people you think
- 1:58:37are stubborn and not stubborn. The Holy Spirit is still walking.
- 1:58:40You are just not seeing what he's doing. That stubborn child,
- 1:58:44that stubborn whatever it is, that person.
- 1:58:48Speaker 1: Doing ministry in a way that is not correct.
- 1:58:50Speaker 2: There is still the ministry of the Holy Spirit in
- 1:58:53their lives.
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: Zachios climbed the tree.
- 1:58:55Speaker 2: To see Jesus, and Jesus said, because you have shown
- 1:58:58interest in me, come down. I change where I'm going.
- 1:59:01I'm going to your house. And when men saw that,
- 1:59:05he went to his house. Give us verse six ses
- 1:59:07you've tempted me. There, the Bible says he made haste.
- 1:59:10He came down and received him joyfully, meaning while you
- 1:59:15were saying gordrop Zachios, God punish you as short as
- 1:59:19you are. He was in the room saying, God, I
- 1:59:22don't like being natief, but I cannot help myself. The
- 1:59:26Prince of the power of the air and God was
- 1:59:29looking at his compassion. The day he saw Jesus, he
- 1:59:32received him with haste. Seven And when they saw it,
- 1:59:37the oh Lord, is that in your bible, saying that
- 1:59:41he was gone to be a guest with a man
- 1:59:45that is a sinner. Verse eight. And Zakio stood and said,
- 1:59:51watch this by himself, Lord, the half of my goods
- 1:59:56I give to the poor. And if I have taken
- 1:59:59anything from any man by false accusation, I restore.
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: Now.
- 2:00:05Speaker 2: While all of that was happening in Zacchio's house, you
- 2:00:08were not seeing it, and so you would conclude outside,
- 2:00:11what is Jesus still doing two hours in the house
- 2:00:15of Zachios, whereas salvation had come not just for him,
- 2:00:19but for everyone he had defrauded. Could it be that
- 2:00:26the woman you have been talking about. While you were
- 2:00:29talking about her, she's been fasting and praying, saying, Lord,
- 2:00:32I know that I don't deserve to be used. It
- 2:00:35is true that I went to her badlyst has a
- 2:00:38mother to have a child, but it was ignorance. And
- 2:00:41while they are praying, you are there saying Jesus would
- 2:00:45not come. Don't be surprised when you see Jesus in
- 2:00:48the house of Many Zachios. Many, you will decorate your
- 2:00:54house with falsehood and self righteousness, and Jesus will pass
- 2:00:58your house and go to a short person somewhere. A
- 2:01:01short man means someone that does not meet the standard.
- 2:01:05And Jesus said, let me come to your house. Let's
- 2:01:07finish the scripture. I hope someone is learning tonight. Look
- 2:01:11at the man, meaning that it was already on his hand.
- 2:01:14He said, half of my goods I'm going to give
- 2:01:17the poor, and if I have taken anything, I'm going
- 2:01:21to restore fourfold.
- 2:01:23Speaker 1: How many of the people who were accusing him could
- 2:01:25do that Verse nine. And Jesus said, unto him. Because
- 2:01:32of this state of hunger, openness, brokenness, and repentance, this
- 2:01:38day salvation is come to your house. For as much
- 2:01:43as you too, as backward as you are, you.
- 2:01:47Speaker 2: Are still a son of Abraham. When I promise Abraham
- 2:01:50that indeed all the heir to be blessed, that covered
- 2:01:53you too.
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: Verse ten.
- 2:02:00Speaker 2: For the son of Man is come even to the
- 2:02:04house of Zacchios to save and seek the lost. Don't
- 2:02:09go to a dear parlor or go to a brother
- 2:02:12and say a person who said go to Zacchio's house,
- 2:02:13you would die there and you may not come out.
- 2:02:16Let me balance it because believers hear all.
- 2:02:18Speaker 1: Kinds of things.
- 2:02:19Speaker 2: While you are laboring to teach on stage, I'm gonna
- 2:02:23look for trouble. You stand near Sodom, you'll enter into
- 2:02:25Sodom away together. But I'm saying, the person who entered
- 2:02:32the house of Exacchios.
- 2:02:33Speaker 1: Was Jesus, was who Jesus?
- 2:02:37Speaker 2: Only Jesus can enter the house of Exacchios by himself
- 2:02:41and come out free. If you are not Jesus, you
- 2:02:44can knock at the door and say, Zachios, I brought
- 2:02:46good news. Seven fishers of men the seventh and for
- 2:03:10this discussion final lesson that every fisherman needs to become
- 2:03:16professional and every fisher of men, every soul winner needs.
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: Are you ready?
- 2:03:22Speaker 2: You must be mindful of your safety as a fisherman
- 2:03:27while you fish. There are safety practices that must be
- 2:03:33taught every fisherman if you must survive the business of
- 2:03:37fishing to return back home safe.
- 2:03:40Speaker 1: Even with fish.
- 2:03:42Speaker 2: There is nobody who goes to the sea. I remember
- 2:03:48years ago, while we're going I was.
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: Going to preach at Bonny caamp and where I portter
- 2:03:57card and needed to go by sea.
- 2:04:01Speaker 2: And so the army came and they dressed me the
- 2:04:04life vest and all those things, and I looked at myself,
- 2:04:07flattered and proud of myself, first for being a preacher,
- 2:04:10but then at least for being a sea person. For
- 2:04:13the next minutes that would take us there, and I
- 2:04:16learned all kinds of things from that journey. You could
- 2:04:20see me with my vest looking happy, and that thing
- 2:04:23was a bit heavier, and I was wondering did I
- 2:04:24have to wear this? But that was what was required
- 2:04:28for my safety should anything go wrong. I remember one
- 2:04:32time we were returning and then one of the boats
- 2:04:34something happened and he was there, not moving, just under
- 2:04:38the waves. I said, no, Lord, I have served you
- 2:04:42all my life. Come on, where is the God that
- 2:04:47come the sea?
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: Are we together? How many careless fishermen have died not
- 2:04:59been because of demonic attacks? They were not taught that
- 2:05:03the business of fishing is a risk. Did you hear
- 2:05:07what I said?
- 2:05:08Speaker 2: The business of fishing, whether a fisher of fish or
- 2:05:12a fisher of men. Once you are a fisher, it
- 2:05:16is a risky business. And there are life vests, there
- 2:05:22are safety mechanisms that you must put in place. For instance,
- 2:05:28if you are a fisherman, you must know how to
- 2:05:31manage the cold that will be at sea. Sometimes what
- 2:05:35can kill you is the sheer cold.
- 2:05:37Speaker 1: That is at sea.
- 2:05:40Speaker 2: Sometimes when I travel to regions of the world and
- 2:05:43is so cold, and you find the people there, they
- 2:05:45are not even they're already used to it. And I'm
- 2:05:47thinking to this, we want to die. I'm wondering what
- 2:05:50to do with myself with all that annoying in the
- 2:05:52cold did not spare me. There are times you can
- 2:05:58die of cold. So if it is the sea you
- 2:06:01are going to be for a long time. When God
- 2:06:04gives you a jacket, don't throw it away because it
- 2:06:06is heavy carried. When you are leaving your house, you
- 2:06:10will not need that jacket. But once the night comes
- 2:06:13at sea, while you are patiently waiting for the fish
- 2:06:17to come, sometimes you are doing nothing, and that cold
- 2:06:20will blow left, right and center.
- 2:06:22Speaker 1: You will need that jacket.
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: And then when you now begin to sail and you
- 2:06:28don't have your life vest, sometimes you will need you
- 2:06:31or what they call that thing.
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: That puddle, to be able to row your boat.
- 2:06:37Speaker 2: If you throw it away and you said, the rivers
- 2:06:40respect me.
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: Now there are skills to remaining.
- 2:06:51Speaker 2: There are times that you need to understand the jurisdiction
- 2:06:54of fishing. How many of you know that even waters
- 2:06:58have jurisdiction. There are laws now I'm speaking intellectually, there
- 2:07:02are laws that govern fishing. There are fishing laws in
- 2:07:06certain nations.
- 2:07:07Speaker 1: You can see a fish jump.
- 2:07:08Speaker 2: If you jump inside that river and catch that fish
- 2:07:12from that river, you are going to jail.
- 2:07:15Speaker 1: Yes, you just watch it whatever it is.
- 2:07:19Speaker 2: If you want to eat fish, there are restaurants usually
- 2:07:22close to it, but you don't just go and catch
- 2:07:24the one there. So it does not mean that just
- 2:07:28because the fish is there, you jump at it. No,
- 2:07:32especially in the world that we live now, you must
- 2:07:35understand the jurisdictional component of soul winning a particular state.
- 2:07:41In this nation, I would mention the name years ago.
- 2:07:45I remember we went to push there and when I
- 2:07:47got there, we're talking with a few of the pastors,
- 2:07:50the leaders, and they told me, they said, in this
- 2:07:52nation they don't have a problem with church, but the
- 2:07:55moment you are caught trying to save someone directly reach
- 2:08:00into someone, you're going to get into trouble.
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: You can have church, old church.
- 2:08:04Speaker 2: Whoever believes in you before they arrive the city can
- 2:08:06come and join you. But that they find you actively
- 2:08:09trying to win someone you're in trouble.
- 2:08:12Speaker 1: There are jurisdictions.
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: Now, it does not mean I told you that fishing,
- 2:08:18whether a fisher of fish or a fisher of men,
- 2:08:21is a risk. Sometimes it will cost you your life.
- 2:08:24This is why you are mandated to love Jesus Christ
- 2:08:27before you start fishing, because there are times you may
- 2:08:30go to that sea and sadly, no matter how careful,
- 2:08:33you may not return.
- 2:08:35Speaker 1: But the joy is that even when you are no longer.
- 2:08:39Speaker 2: There the net was full of fish, someone else can
- 2:08:42catch that fish, and there is a crown that is
- 2:08:44waiting for you.
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: The Bible says, are we together?
- 2:08:51Speaker 2: What are the safety nets that every fisherman must put?
- 2:08:55Number one the intercessory prayer ministry.
- 2:08:59Speaker 1: That is the first safety net.
- 2:09:01Speaker 2: Don't go to catch fish without a strong backing of intercessors.
- 2:09:09Speaker 1: In about a month now when in US and when Canada,
- 2:09:13and like you were told, prayers have begun.
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: If you've not joined, make sure you join in your
- 2:09:18home personally, sow that seed of prayer when you are going,
- 2:09:23especially to deep waters transcontinental waters. Your first safety is
- 2:09:30not the life vest you wear, because storms are products
- 2:09:35of the boisterous nature of the sea and the wind
- 2:09:38you cannot see. There is a spiritual side to this.
- 2:09:43Are we together? Every fisher of men must understand that
- 2:09:48you must you must have a strong prayer backing a
- 2:09:53strong prayer backing men and women who are praying Lord.
- 2:09:57As the world of God comes, let there be a
- 2:10:00harvest of soul. I studied Reinhard Bonker's model of evangelism
- 2:10:05as to find out why his evangelistic approach was so
- 2:10:10effective across Africa in spite of the language barrier, and
- 2:10:15one of it was that months before they launched out
- 2:10:19their campaign Christ for All Nations, they would invest in
- 2:10:23in tense moments of prayer and fasting clear that air
- 2:10:28is a brethren. Pray for us as annointed as we are,
- 2:10:32pray for us. Can I tell you it takes more
- 2:10:35than English an understanding Bible to win the lost. There
- 2:10:39are ancient spirits that will not allow territories to be
- 2:10:43open and you just dive in there with intellectual.
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: Sense, no prayer. Are we together? Number two?
- 2:11:00Speaker 2: The second safety future that you need when you are
- 2:11:04a sole winner is to practice periodic retreats. Periodic retreats.
- 2:11:11Now it may be difficult for you to believe this,
- 2:11:14But a time can come in your life where soul
- 2:11:17winning can become a ritual that produces distraction. You can
- 2:11:22be distracted literally doing soul winning that your spiritual life
- 2:11:27dies while you are at sea. Nobody lives indefinitely in
- 2:11:32the sea.
- 2:11:33Speaker 1: Once you are done, you must retreat back. Are we together? Now?
- 2:11:37Speaker 2: There are many people It was not evil that destroyed them,
- 2:11:41They just became so they became so into the ritual
- 2:11:46of charge, the ritual of preaching, the ritual of evangelism,
- 2:11:52that they forgot their personal work with God. So personally,
- 2:11:56their prayer life has gone down, personally word study has
- 2:12:00gone down. But because they're in the mission field aside
- 2:12:05from intercession, there are.
- 2:12:06Speaker 1: Times you need to draw back, not just to mend
- 2:12:09your net, but to have a time of.
- 2:12:11Speaker 2: Retreat, fresh fire, fresh revelation, fresh and gracing, restrategizing again,
- 2:12:19and then you can go back to the sea. That
- 2:12:22happens whether you catch fish or not, because sometimes when
- 2:12:26you catch fish, you can be busy with the business
- 2:12:30of fish that you may not given know when you
- 2:12:32are hungry yourself. How many of you know that the
- 2:12:35tanker that carries foil is also foiled.
- 2:12:38Speaker 1: Is that true?
- 2:12:39Speaker 2: The tanker that carries gas gasoline diesel it has to
- 2:12:45it can stop full of gas, but stops because the
- 2:12:49diesel that power seat has finished. There are many people
- 2:12:53holding nets full of souls, but.
- 2:12:56Speaker 1: They are and they don't have the energy.
- 2:13:00Speaker 2: Eventually they will fall out of exhaustion, and the nets
- 2:13:04will open, and the fish will run back to the sea.
- 2:13:12Speaker 1: It says.
- 2:13:12Speaker 2: Even the young men will be wary. Are we together?
- 2:13:16The youth will utterly fall. The young men shall utterly fall,
- 2:13:22and the youth will fade as at forty thirty, it says.
- 2:13:25But they that wait, the fishes of men that wait,
- 2:13:33the witnesses that wait upon the Lord in prayer, in
- 2:13:39periodic retreats, they shall renew.
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: Everybody say renew one more time.
- 2:13:45Speaker 2: The word remans again like before, as before, restored to
- 2:13:49the original and even better state. Renew their strength, because
- 2:13:54that's the first thing that has failed. Their strength. They
- 2:13:57shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run
- 2:14:01and not be wary. They shall walk and not fainth
- 2:14:05Every soul winner needs to retreat. You don't retreat just
- 2:14:10because you are failing or winning. Is a principle of survivor.
- 2:14:18I believe in mission walk, but there are many missionaries
- 2:14:21right now who need to take a break and leave
- 2:14:24the mission fields for one or two months. There will
- 2:14:28never be an end to the souls that need to
- 2:14:31be saved. They need to return for one or two months,
- 2:14:34connect back to their families, find strength, because how many
- 2:14:39of you know that work in the mission field can
- 2:14:42be psychologically exhausting, not just spiritually exhausting, psychologically exhausting. There
- 2:14:51are times that I go to preach, especially when I travel,
- 2:14:54once we are done counseling seeing people. Now I'm still anointed,
- 2:14:59but that FeAs exhaustion. Sometimes I can feel it. My
- 2:15:02body literally can start shaking. Where you are debating whether
- 2:15:06to eat or to sleep, you are choosing which one
- 2:15:10is more profitable at that time. And while you are thinking,
- 2:15:14your body chooses for you because he doesn't have time
- 2:15:16to waste. You find out that you've slept is when
- 2:15:20you wake up, and by the time you wake up,
- 2:15:22the morning session is already getting.
- 2:15:24Speaker 1: You have to pray and prepare. Let me tell you
- 2:15:26the truth.
- 2:15:27Speaker 2: This business of fishing, especially when the people you are
- 2:15:30catching are men, it can exhaust you and Jesus wept.
- 2:15:37Jesus cried before Lazarus's tomb.
- 2:15:39Speaker 1: He was emotionally moved.
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: Jesus wept at God gotter to the point that his sweat, believe,
- 2:15:47mixed with tears, became like blood.
- 2:15:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you the truth. There are times when.
- 2:15:55Speaker 2: You have to be very sincere and admit to yourself.
- 2:15:59Speaker 1: Let me have your attention. Please. Some of you right
- 2:16:02now are serving God.
- 2:16:04Speaker 2: But what you need is just some time to go
- 2:16:07and sit down let someone else preach to you. You
- 2:16:12have been the one shouting at everybody, but you need
- 2:16:16to be fed yourself. You need to just sit down
- 2:16:20and let someone comfort you. You see that now, That's
- 2:16:25why I was blessed so much last week when I
- 2:16:27just sat down and allowed my wonderful school of ministry students.
- 2:16:31They were doing all their things and doing all their preaching,
- 2:16:33and I just sat quietly. How good it is they
- 2:16:41just sit down and watch them do what they're doing.
- 2:16:46There are many reasons why people die in the mission field.
- 2:16:51Speaker 1: Some die because of ignorance, Some die because of demonic attack.
- 2:16:56Some die because they were not trained well. They dabbled
- 2:16:59into deep waters without training. Some died because they were alone.
- 2:17:04They did not see the value of the contribution of
- 2:17:07other ships and other fishers.
- 2:17:11Speaker 2: Some died because after laboring to gather the fish, exhaustion
- 2:17:16made them to fall back into the boat, and the
- 2:17:19fish peeled out, and everything went so that all their
- 2:17:23nights and weeks of waiting became wasted.
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: Listen to me.
- 2:17:29Speaker 2: He calls us to be witnesses. But the first assignment
- 2:17:34of a witness is not to be a revelation communicator.
- 2:17:39Speaker 1: It's not to be a power manifesto, is to be
- 2:17:41a fisher of men. And tonight we have borrowed from
- 2:17:46the training of.
- 2:17:48Speaker 2: A fisher or a fisherman, the scriptural principles that help
- 2:17:53men to be effective.
- 2:17:55Speaker 1: Most of you have seen where you have gotten it
- 2:17:57wrong in you're attempting to fish men. That may be
- 2:18:03the reason why your relatives have refused to be saved.
- 2:18:06You have been throwing.
- 2:18:07Speaker 2: Nets for years and it has not brought any harvest.
- 2:18:11God is teaching you right now so that the next
- 2:18:14net you catch, among the many fish that will come,
- 2:18:19you will see your father in that net, your mother
- 2:18:22in that net, your siblings in that net, even the
- 2:18:25ones who are afar of maybe some of your classmates.
- 2:18:29You have so trained your net that when you threw
- 2:18:33that net, it could go back into your ten years
- 2:18:36before now and draw people. And when you look at it,
- 2:18:40you have to call other people. Finally, my father is saved.
- 2:18:45Finally my mother is saved. Finally this I don't washap
- 2:18:49in our family. The net can reach anyone if you
- 2:18:53are trained to know how to throw it.
- 2:18:56Speaker 1: Let me recap one last time, and then we'll.
- 2:18:58Speaker 2: Pray the principles that help people to be effective fishers
- 2:19:05of men. Number one, you need to understand the sea
- 2:19:10where the fishes are found, the sea here all winner
- 2:19:14is the entire eth. You must understand the spiritual, the
- 2:19:19sociological composition, and the implication of living in a world
- 2:19:24and an age like ours. Number two, you need to
- 2:19:29know that there are various kinds of fish. All fish
- 2:19:32are not the same. All men are not the same.
- 2:19:35There are levels of resistance, so the gospel is not
- 2:19:37the same. There are levels of aggression, Their personalities are
- 2:19:41not the same. This means that you must know how
- 2:19:44to deploy the right strategy for the right fish. Number three,
- 2:19:49you must understand that there are various techniques for catching fish,
- 2:19:53like there are various methods, various approaches given to men
- 2:19:58to win souls.
- 2:20:01Speaker 1: That everybody will.
- 2:20:02Speaker 2: Not be saved using the strategy you were given. But
- 2:20:06the most important thing is to respect the diversity of
- 2:20:10fishing strategies, the diversity of God or dead ministries within
- 2:20:14the body, and respect their various skills and their various.
- 2:20:19Speaker 1: Contribution to this fishing.
- 2:20:22Speaker 2: Number four that you must have a functional boat to
- 2:20:27gather your fish, to gather your harvest, to avoid waste away.
- 2:20:31Speaker 1: Together. That means you must.
- 2:20:34Speaker 2: Have a functional structure, platform, follow up system, establishment system.
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: If you cannot have.
- 2:20:42Speaker 2: One, you must be connected to one that preserves the harvest. So,
- 2:20:47whether it is a hook you use to save one sinner,
- 2:20:51you have somewhere the person can go to for his
- 2:20:53spiritual nourishment and his build up.
- 2:20:56Speaker 1: From that point, Number five, you must.
- 2:21:01Speaker 2: Know that you cannot effectively fish in isolation. You cannot
- 2:21:06effectively be a fisher of men a sole winner in isolation.
- 2:21:12No matter how effective you are as a person, effective
- 2:21:16you are as a ministry, it will take the collaboration
- 2:21:21of other fishers of men for efficiency to happen. The
- 2:21:25meaning of that is that we must not discourage the
- 2:21:29laborers that we already have and that it is not
- 2:21:32unusual for fishers of men, both young and old, both fathers,
- 2:21:38sons and children. It says, I write on to you fathers,
- 2:21:41I write on to you young men, I write on
- 2:21:44to your children. When it has to do with correction
- 2:21:47and adjustment, regardless the ministerial experience, there is something to learn.
- 2:21:53There is somewhere to mend your boat. As we said
- 2:21:56to mend your net. Number six that fishing requires great patience, persistence,
- 2:22:09and discipline. So soul winning, just like fishing, will require patience.
- 2:22:15You can follow up one soul sometimes for years it
- 2:22:18will look like you are failing till you see the
- 2:22:22power that is released.
- 2:22:23Speaker 1: At the point that person gets saved. I do not
- 2:22:27believe that.
- 2:22:28Speaker 2: The day soul met Jesus, that that was the day
- 2:22:32his process started. I want to believe that there had
- 2:22:35been a build up.
- 2:22:37Speaker 1: Are we together? We need patience.
- 2:22:41Speaker 2: Never forget how God saved you, Never forget the various
- 2:22:45things you were saved from. And I taught you in
- 2:22:48discussing that point, that we need to allow messy and
- 2:22:53compassion to go before power. Power is important, but not
- 2:22:58before messy. When messy goes before power, when compassion goes
- 2:23:03before power.
- 2:23:04Speaker 1: It TEMs power, so that power is.
- 2:23:07Speaker 2: Used in a way that benefits but does not destroy,
- 2:23:11so that we do not make the sea excessively boisterous,
- 2:23:16and then to drive every other fish.
- 2:23:19Speaker 1: Seven that in fishing.
- 2:23:22Speaker 2: Like soul winning, your safety is also God's concern, and
- 2:23:28that you must know that there are safety systems that
- 2:23:31you must put because God wants you, as a fisher
- 2:23:34of men, to last. God does not want you to
- 2:23:37do ministry for ten years and go down two years,
- 2:23:40and go down five years, and go down. And people say,
- 2:23:44this man was once a powerful man, this woman was
- 2:23:47once a great woman, this churche.
- 2:23:49Speaker 1: This ministry was once powerful.
- 2:23:51Speaker 2: That language eat cobboard should not be heard in your destiny,
- 2:23:55and that whiles.
- 2:23:56Speaker 1: You fish, it is a risk.
- 2:23:58Speaker 2: There are spirit tryings that happen at sea. There are
- 2:24:02sociological transactions that.
- 2:24:04Speaker 1: Happen at sea.
- 2:24:05Speaker 2: There are emotional transactions that happen at sea. And you
- 2:24:09must garrison yourself with the right safety systems. Number one
- 2:24:14is that you need the prayer and intercessory ministry back
- 2:24:18in you. Number two, you must know how to practice retreats.
- 2:24:25There are many more. I just gave you two. In fact,
- 2:24:28if you wish me to add one more, I can't
- 2:24:30tell you.
- 2:24:30Speaker 1: Number three. You must know how to.
- 2:24:32Speaker 2: Learn from those who have been fishing for a long time,
- 2:24:35the power of mentorship. You must submit yourself to other
- 2:24:40skilled fishermen with proof, because sometimes it may be that
- 2:24:46your fishing is ineffective, and you may not have died yet,
- 2:24:50but you almost died at sea. The next time you go,
- 2:24:53you may die there. So whilst you've had your opportunity
- 2:24:56to retreat now, let somebody who has gain mastery over
- 2:25:00are fishing teach you correct certain things. Then you can
- 2:25:03go back now with greater efficiency. Let me conclude by
- 2:25:13saying this, your love for Jesus, alongside your desire to
- 2:25:19please him, must be greater than your desire for ministry, fame, power, money,
- 2:25:28and even evangelism. Let me take it again that your
- 2:25:32love for Jesus Christ the greatest addition to all of
- 2:25:37these seven points that I would give you, or one
- 2:25:40final addition to become an effective fisher of men. Haven't
- 2:25:45taught you everything around the sea, fishing men is.
- 2:25:49Speaker 1: Beyond going to the sea.
- 2:25:51Speaker 2: Your love for Jesus, alongside your desire to please him,
- 2:25:58must be greater than and your desire for ministry must
- 2:26:03be greater than your desire for fame, must be greater
- 2:26:08than your desire for power, must be greater than your
- 2:26:12desire for money, must even be greater than your desire
- 2:26:16for evangelism. Evangelism can become an idol. The quest for
- 2:26:22money can become an idol, the quest for doing ministry
- 2:26:26can become an idol. Just because you are standing on
- 2:26:29the pulpit and holding a mic does not mean you
- 2:26:32love Jesus. I cannot end this very important discussion without
- 2:26:37challenging you that, when all is said and done, beyond fishing,
- 2:26:43no matter how effective, your love for Jesus is what.
- 2:26:47Speaker 1: Is most important.
- 2:26:48Speaker 2: Jesus himself said, in that day, some will say we
- 2:26:52healed in your name, good fishing.
- 2:26:54Speaker 1: In that day.
- 2:26:55Speaker 2: Some will say we can't set out devils in your name.
- 2:26:58But you will say, depart from me, ye, workers of iniquity.
- 2:27:03The problem is not the fishing. The problem is the fisherman,
- 2:27:07the fisher of men. Allelujah. Beyond the ability to fish,
- 2:27:15beyond your ability to win souls, you must be sure,
- 2:27:20I hope you are not.
- 2:27:22Speaker 1: A fish yourself who needs to be saved.
- 2:27:29Speaker 2: It becomes a tragedy when the unsaved person is the
- 2:27:34one who is trying to save others. Paul said, let
- 2:27:37it not be that after I have preached, I myself
- 2:27:42will be a castaway.
- 2:27:44Speaker 1: Are you ready to pray? Please rise up on your
- 2:27:47feet as we pray. Come follow me, and I will
- 2:27:55make you fishers of men.
- 2:27:59Speaker 2: I will make you soul winners. I will make you witnesses.
- 2:28:05We have two prayers to pray tonight, and I want
- 2:28:08you to pray this prayer with all your heart. Prayer
- 2:28:11point number one, I obtain grace to be a fisher
- 2:28:15of men. Go ahead and pray I obtain grace to
- 2:28:20be a fisher of men. Someone is praying that I
- 2:28:23will not just watch the lost. I will not roam
- 2:28:25around the sea and not catch men. For Jesus that
- 2:28:30every time I see an unsafe person, that body is
- 2:28:34not just left to missionaries and mission agencies.
- 2:28:37Speaker 1: You are not a believer.
- 2:28:40Speaker 2: With maturity and stature if the passion for souls is
- 2:28:45not in your heart. This is not until It's not
- 2:28:48only when you are an apostle or a prophet, or
- 2:28:50an evangelist or a teacher mounting the pulpit.
- 2:28:54Speaker 1: The passion for soul winning.
- 2:28:56Speaker 2: The work of an evangelist is every believer us business. Therefore,
- 2:29:01open your mouth and cry. Obtain grace from God. Obtain
- 2:29:06grace from God. Obtain grace from God. Obtain grace from
- 2:29:11God in the name of Jesus. Obtain grace from God.
- 2:29:15Shut break up a rakatskadi branda gabalados. Great harvest through
- 2:29:20my life, great harvest through my life, Great harvest through
- 2:29:27my life.
- 2:29:29Speaker 1: I bring you.
- 2:29:30Speaker 2: Great havevest through my life. I bring you great harvest
- 2:29:35through my life. I bring you great harvest through my life.
- 2:29:48Speaker 1: Alle Lujah.
- 2:29:51Speaker 2: Final prayer point. You are going to pray for efficiency.
- 2:29:57You can be efficient man like you have been taught
- 2:29:59or a of men, and yet your weakness is so ineffective.
- 2:30:05Speaker 1: You are barely able to do anything.
- 2:30:07Speaker 2: As a pastor, as an apostle, as a prophet, as
- 2:30:11a teacher, as a kingdom businessman, in whatever ministerial dimension
- 2:30:17you find yourself.
- 2:30:18Speaker 1: We're going to pray.
- 2:30:19Speaker 2: All of these keys are the training manual for your efficiency.
- 2:30:25Speaker 1: You know the area where you have found wanting.
- 2:30:27Speaker 2: Maybe you are part of those who have made the
- 2:30:29sea boys teros. Maybe you have lacked the patience and
- 2:30:33the discipline to allow the fish come. Maybe you have forgotten,
- 2:30:37sincerely so where He saved you from. Maybe you have
- 2:30:40not even studied the sea where you are going to
- 2:30:43be fishing. Maybe you lack a boat, maybe you lack
- 2:30:46a net, or your net is tone.
- 2:30:48Speaker 1: In any case, raise a.
- 2:30:50Speaker 2: Voice, your voice and praying one minute that God should
- 2:30:53help you to be efficient.
- 2:30:55Speaker 1: Go ahead and pray that much souls will come through
- 2:31:01my life. Much souls will come through my waitness. Someone
- 2:31:05who loves Jesus is prayed much souls.
- 2:31:10Speaker 2: Schalie gebar rakat tosca, pray daabarracos, much.
- 2:31:14Speaker 1: Souls through my life, much souls through my waitness. Are
- 2:31:18you crying.
- 2:31:23Speaker 2: In Jesus' name? Now give me one minute. I want
- 2:31:27you to mention the name of anyone you know in
- 2:31:30and around your life or your.
- 2:31:32Speaker 1: Space who is unsaved.
- 2:31:34Speaker 2: Let's intercede for those persons in the next one or
- 2:31:37two minutes.
- 2:31:38Speaker 1: Lord, they will not die. Go ahead and pray. Whether
- 2:31:42you like the person or not is not the issue.
- 2:31:43I like you to pray.
- 2:31:45Speaker 2: Pray like a believer that you are. It may be
- 2:31:47your husband who is not saved. Pray that you will
- 2:31:50not go to hell, not with what you have learned.
- 2:31:54You are not just a believer. You are a fisher
- 2:31:56of men.
- 2:31:58Speaker 1: It may be your brother, your sibling, maybe an uncle,
- 2:32:03maybe an auntie, maybe a colleague in the office. Someone pray.
- 2:32:09I intercede.
- 2:32:11Speaker 2: Shut the patos, calibrashtos yata. Save to the Automosto God,
- 2:32:21Save to the autumost So God, Save to the autumost
- 2:32:25So God.
- 2:32:26Speaker 1: Let every unsaved person in our lives come to the
- 2:32:30saving knowledge of Jesus.
- 2:32:32Speaker 2: Let backsliders return home. Let those who have deviated from
- 2:32:36the path of righteousness the part of salvation, that they
- 2:32:40will come home.
- 2:32:41Speaker 1: They will come home, They will come home in the
- 2:32:45name of Jesus. In Jesus name, we pray, allelujah. Every
- 2:32:58coin on your service is like a fisherman throwing a net,
- 2:33:04regardless the salmon. In that salmon, there is a net
- 2:33:09that is thrown, and the Bible says that the net
- 2:33:13catches multitude of fish. In this place right now, there
- 2:33:18are many kinds of people.
- 2:33:21Speaker 2: There are believers, serious Christians on, serious Christians on save people,
- 2:33:28those like zac Chios who.
- 2:33:30Speaker 1: Are already close to the kingdom. I want to make
- 2:33:33a call right now.
- 2:33:34Speaker 2: You cannot hear a salmon like this and sear your
- 2:33:38conscience and say it does not matter and walk away.
- 2:33:42I know that someone who was sent by God on
- 2:33:45hearing me teach, even though I was talking about the
- 2:33:48fish of men, you were thinking of that fish, because
- 2:33:52like that fish, you are that soul that needs to
- 2:33:55find Jesus. Tonight, two calls in one. You are in
- 2:33:59displace and you are apostle. I have to be honest
- 2:34:02with myself and my destiny. I have never truly made
- 2:34:05Jesus lord of my life. I've been around church. I
- 2:34:09conduct myself to be a good person, but I cannot
- 2:34:12say for sure that I've made Jesus lord of my life.
- 2:34:16Or you are saying, Apostle, I've been part of church,
- 2:34:19but right now I cannot say my ways are rite
- 2:34:23with God.
- 2:34:23Speaker 1: I need to rededicate my life. I'm going to make
- 2:34:27this call, counting one to five.
- 2:34:29Speaker 2: Wherever you are, I will require that you pick your
- 2:34:32bags and your bibles as I begin to count, and
- 2:34:34whatever you came to church with, please very quickly outside, inside, everywhere,
- 2:34:41make your way to the front right here, or make
- 2:34:44your way to any of the ledis in front of you.
- 2:34:48I begin my accounting now please stand, my sister. God
- 2:34:50bless you for everyone who needs to come, I begin
- 2:34:54my accounting. Now, roush, leave your seat and come. One
- 2:34:58coin on you a less celebrate them. Come to Jesus.
- 2:35:04Come to Jesus. He is the Way, the truth, and life.
- 2:35:08Speaker 1: He says.
- 2:35:09Speaker 2: No man come back to the Father except by me.
- 2:35:13Speaker 1: Ye must be born again.
- 2:35:15Speaker 2: You can make your ways right like the prodigal's son.
- 2:35:20Speaker 1: You can return back to your father.
- 2:35:22Speaker 2: Let's keep clapping as they come, too, apostle. I want
- 2:35:28to come, but I'm ashamed. Will God accept me? Make
- 2:35:31your way to the front absolutely for as many who
- 2:35:36will come to him.
- 2:35:36Speaker 1: The Bible declares that he will in no wise cast away.
- 2:35:41Three more counts. Three.
- 2:35:43Speaker 2: Let's celebrate them as they come. You're coming from outside.
- 2:35:46Please hurry up. Once I count five, will have to pray.
- 2:35:51Speaker 1: Four. I'm not sure if I'm saved.
- 2:35:57Speaker 2: I'm a good person, but I'm not sure if I'm
- 2:35:59say go ahead and join them. You can have the
- 2:36:02assurance of salvation. Today's that day of salvation for you.
- 2:36:09I see people coming from the eurs. Let's celebrate them
- 2:36:12as they come. I see men and women coming from
- 2:36:15the else.
- 2:36:16Speaker 1: God bless you. Bless you for your courage to make
- 2:36:19it right with Jesus. Bless you for loving Jesus enough
- 2:36:23to leave your seat and come, young and old, male
- 2:36:27and female. That includes those who are following from across
- 2:36:30the nations. You must be born Againe in Jesus' much
- 2:36:37less name, we pray. In Jesus' glorious name, we pray.
- 2:36:42I want to thank every one of you for this
- 2:36:44great decision. You have someone that courage to come and
- 2:36:49stand before Jesus, young and old, male and female. The
- 2:36:54Bible declares that as many who will come to him,
- 2:36:56he will in no wise cast away. I want to
- 2:36:59lead you to make a p that includes those at
- 2:37:01the overflows and those who are falling online. Please do
- 2:37:05not lose this opportunity to make it right with Jesus.
- 2:37:09Speaker 2: For those in front, my brothers and my sisters, may
- 2:37:11I request that you lift your right hand high above
- 2:37:14your head as a sign of surrender, and say this convincingly.
- 2:37:18Let it be loud, and let it be clear, Say
- 2:37:20Lord Jesus. Say it again, Lord Jesus, tonight I have
- 2:37:27heard your word. I love you with all my heart.
- 2:37:33I believe that you are the son of God. I
- 2:37:38believe that you died for my sin. I declare that
- 2:37:44from today you are my savior. You are my Lord,
- 2:37:50and you are my king. I declare that the power
- 2:37:56of sin, Satan, hell, and the grave is broken over
- 2:38:03my life. I am a child of God. I go
- 2:38:06for whatever and backward never. Amen, keep your beautiful hends lifted. Father,
- 2:38:13Thank you for this wonderful people.
- 2:38:16Speaker 1: They have made their declarations of faith, and the Bible
- 2:38:19says that if we confess your lordship and believe that
- 2:38:22you were raised from the dead, we are saved. I declare,
- 2:38:25by the authority of Scripture that your sins are forgiven.
- 2:38:28And I declare that from today and for the rest

- 2:38:59follow them. They will have a word with you very quickly,
- 2:39:03and then you are back to your seat.
- 2:39:05Speaker 2: Cornonia. Let's give them a big, big God bless you, allelujah.
- 2:39:18What is your assignment for this week?
- 2:39:20Speaker 1: Number one?

- 2:39:25of men. Let me repeat it again.
- 2:39:27Speaker 1: Number one, listen to this teaching Number two become a
- 2:39:32fisher of men. That means between now and Sunday, it's
- 2:39:36impossible to say you did not find anybody to save.
- 2:39:39It's a lie. And if that is what is in
- 2:39:42your heart in Jesus' name, may God bring see us
- 2:39:46your way that you will save.
- 2:39:50Speaker 2: In Jesus' might. Te name I but I've prayed it already.

- 2:39:56coin Onias Sunday, you did not collide with someone who
- 2:40:00needs Jesus or needs to rededicate his life.

- 2:40:05Speaker 2: It's important that you are active as far as this
- 2:40:08soul winning business is concerned.
- 2:40:10Speaker 1: And the Lord will bless you and honor you in
- 2:40:12the name of Jesus.

- 2:40:16like the stars and day the firmament day that turn
- 2:40:21many to righteousness. They will be as the stars even
- 2:40:25forever more. That should be Daniel twelve three or so.
