- 0:32have that disease that makes you look like an old man. But they gave
- 0:35me medicine for it and I took too much. That's cool. I'm Darcy,
- 0:39I'm Art Simpson. Who the hell are you all right, Darcy?
- 0:43Fourth Finger Discount dude. Welcome to Fouring a discap, the podcast where we
- 1:03always listen to things in stereo. This week we hit a review episode jab
- 1:07F zero four. It is Little Big Girl. I am Dedoh and I
- 1:11am guy. He's back back by popular demand. Check out those teeth amazing.
- 1:17We'll take a nice picture for the for the nice people, yeah and
- 1:21put it on the internet. In case you've never listened to an episode of
- 1:23fourthing a discount. Ever, what's happened is Guy went to Balley last week,
- 1:26so thanks to Aliet Jay and the epistep and in last week to fill
- 1:29the chair. But Guy is back now, as he said, looking better
- 1:32than ever and just more enthusiastic. And look at that happy smile. Indeed,
- 1:34never seen your smile so happily. Well, yeah, I was very
- 1:38reluctant to show my teeth beforehand because they were remiss. They were in the
- 1:41Big Book of British Smiles. No, here's the thing. I actually went
- 1:45over to Bali to take a little bit of a mini break, but also
- 1:49had a broken tooth that required a crown. I crunched the numbers and realized
- 1:53I could fly over to Bali, stay in a little discount hotel and get
- 1:57my tooth fixed full or quite a reasonable amount. Just just answer this question.
- 2:01Did you work on the script? I did not, and I did
- 2:06work on my ted. As you can see, I've gone from a funny
- 2:08too, I've gone from shockingly pale to pale. And while I was there
- 2:19little more even even more number crunching and realized, hmm, I could get
- 2:23a slick set of veneers across my top teeth for a very reasonable cost.
- 2:29So I've got that. And now whereas my teeth were uneven and yellow,
- 2:32now they are even and blindingly white. Oh actually not blindingly white, normal,
- 2:38just normal. Yeah, yeah, I mean, and it's not it's
- 2:40not ross from Friends as I said, or Matthew Perry on the reunion no,
- 2:46or a baby Billy from Righteous Gyms Sens, which was kind of my
- 2:51go to do not do yes. But everyone was pretty happy with them,
- 2:55including the lovely Louise, who was the sort of the the target demo for
- 2:59you. Were you a bit scared when you first showed it? Were like,
- 3:00oh gosh, you better like these? Oh yeah, well, first
- 3:04of all, I was scared because it's like, you know, you spend
- 3:07three hours in the chair. Well I spent three hours in the chair,
- 3:09you know, with my teeth getting sort of filed away and reshaped, and
- 3:14you were await the whole time, right Oh yeah, yeah, I mean
- 3:15they loaded me up with the novercam, which I was very happy about.
- 3:20More more yeah, so I didn't feel a thing. But you know,
- 3:23there's always that thing We've all seen. It was it Batman, like the
- 3:28Keaton Nicholson Batman, the first thing where it's like I did what I could
- 3:31on your face and you know, you look at the mirror in here or
- 3:36Nicholas cag and face off. I'm just staring, right. That was going
- 3:39to be the case. You know that after they've done this work for three
- 3:42hours, I'm gonna sort of look at it and go take them off,
- 3:45take them off. But no, that's enough, that's enough, like blinded,
- 3:51but no, a very pleasant surprise. Everyone I sent a picture to
- 3:54was like, hey, they look great and very natural. Then I came
- 3:58home and I saw my mom, Yeah, Michael, Mary margam Mary's like,
- 4:00what have you done? You are not my son. I have no
- 4:04son, but like she wasn't upset or this one. Oh it doesn't look
- 4:09like you. And I'm like, well that's true. Probably a good thing,
- 4:12right, better now now you've got guy two point zero. But anyway,
- 4:20so yes, that happened, but a very nice and a very nice
- 4:25getaway. Came back with a rejuvenated mouth everything, and you know, my
- 4:30trip went very very smooth, and my accommodation was nice, my flights were
- 4:32good even, and the flight back was pretty good except I was in the
- 4:38middle and the young man to the right of me. Clearly had a knight
- 4:43on the turps before we left Balley because the plane hasn't even left the runway
- 4:48and he's gone through three sick bags. Oh shit, I can't remember the
- 4:54last time I saw anyone use the sick back on a plane. Yeah,
- 4:57yeah, but he was just I mean, last time Ice went on a
- 5:00boat one I've told this story many times. It was like going around I
- 5:03think it was in Tasmania, like going around one glass base, one glass
- 5:06baze, yes, yeah, and the boat went up for a while,
- 5:10stay there and then came down like it was just like it's basically you sort
- 5:13of it's it's fine, and then you sort of go around like this cliff
- 5:15face and it's like now you're in the big ocean. It's just like fucking
- 5:18waves and everyone's at the back throwing but Nicholas just like pussies, and Nikola's
- 5:25dad and myself were sitting there at the bag. So I've never been on
- 5:28a boat since, understandable. But yeah, on a plane, yeah,
- 5:31before he even taken off, Yeah, so I mean, OCEI, it's
- 5:34not signess. He just was on the piss, yeah, and had a
- 5:38terrible hangover, very Fortunately his mum was sitting across the arm. She said,
- 5:43you're not gonna bother this man. This whole flight sped o perfect.
- 5:46So that was that was nice. But then so then you're next to a
- 5:48lady, But that's true, it was or did you go to the end
- 5:51of the ear? Do you go in her seat? Or did she just
- 5:53swam? She just swapped seats. Yeah, yeah, and then the person
- 5:56next to hers like, fucking bother me. For the rest of the trip,
- 5:59I was between two ladies because the lady on the other side, she
- 6:03was traveling purplectly fine until I think she realized, like, oh, I
- 6:06can't bring fruit from Barley in to Australia, so she started eating. I
- 6:11would you even think you can? I have no idea. I have no
- 6:14idea. But clearly she didn't see the rules and decided, well, I
- 6:16bet this this whole mango is too good to throw away. So she just
- 6:20started eating like a whole mega, not like slices. She just cut it
- 6:25open and then just started running away. What the hell like a possum.
- 6:32Look, but neither of those things bothered me all that much. But I'll
- 6:34tell you what did bother me. Okay, I was up in the front
- 6:38of the plane. I didn't have check in. They had the director's cut
- 6:40of bad center on the bare flight. That's true your future presentation. No,
- 6:47it was happening in the front of the plane. So I got off
- 6:49quickly. I didn't have check in luggage, only had carry on, so
- 6:54I moved through the whole airport very very quickly. It was about eight o'clock
- 6:58in the evening, so there weren't that many people there. Good time too,
- 7:00because you go to sleep very much. So well, you think so,
- 7:02except I am. I got to get the shuttle bus to get to
- 7:08the car park to go get my car. I'd left my certain by the
- 7:12time when you got back here, you mean yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 7:14yeah, well no to the Yeah, get the shuttle bus to get to
- 7:17the car park at the airport app in Melbourne. Yeah yeah, that's what
- 7:19I mean. Sorry, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. So you're right
- 7:21back home. I'm yeah back in sah back on terrorform. Everything's going very
- 7:26very smoothly. And get on the bus. They said, right, we're
- 7:30dropping off at H first or yeah, at H first, and I'm like,
- 7:32h that's me. That's cool. Get off first, Get off.
- 7:35It's raining quite heavily. But I'm like, but that's okay because I'm just
- 7:39parked over there, or am I you mean H? I am looking around
- 7:46the eight section because I mean my remembrance was it's like, okay, I
- 7:50mean H and I am diagonally from the bus terminal where again, on the
- 7:55bus it was at H first to what you said, what was it called
- 7:58just H we want to H first? Yeah, yeah, the bus driver
- 8:01said, we're in H D. I'm an H second. Fuck get it's
- 8:07bucketing down rain and I'm just my car is not where I thought it was,
- 8:11and they've gone. We know the busses come every few minutes. That's
- 8:16all right, but I mean still, it's just that, Oh man,
- 8:20I've done everything so right now just for to be tripped up at this thing.
- 8:24Okay, I'm just gonna have to walk up and down the oil and
- 8:26it's right, I'll get a little bit wet. It's forty five minutes later.
- 8:33Ship. Really, you couldn't find your car. I could not find
- 8:35my car, and you never want to ask somebody for help, because like,
- 8:39what kind of dickhead loses that car? Okay, Well, first of
- 8:43all, I see a bunch of other people sort of walking around this section
- 8:45going you two, I'm pretty sure I thought I was in H and the
- 8:52end I'm like, maybe I'm in G. So I walk over there and
- 8:54start looking around in relation to the end of the bus stop. No luck,
- 9:00I'm getting wetter and wetter. So there's no roof in s place.
- 9:03This is the outdoor. Yeah, I finally got pissing rain lately listening to
- 9:09you. Oh god. Yeah, and I've just spent like a week in
- 9:13tropical Barley. I know I'm not in F, but I'm going to have
- 9:18to go look in F as well. Two whole letters away. I know,
- 9:22I'm just were you in the itchy lot? Lewis text me, I
- 9:28said, are you out yet? I said, I'm I'm so ashamed to
- 9:31say I cannot find the car. And in the end, how often were
- 9:37you going? That's all I was doing? Yeah, because but I mean,
- 9:41I don't know about the range on my on my keys, but I
- 9:45mean that sometimes I think I've got to be pretty close to get get the
- 9:46lights or if you relock it then goes it gives a little long. I
- 9:52was doing that all over the place. No luck, none at all,
- 9:54getting soaked to the bone. You're back and I I just had a carry
- 10:01o cary, but still it was getting soaked. That's getting soaked, and
- 10:03it's I've got it sort of strapped around my back, but it's banging against
- 10:07my leg. There's a happy end of these folks. I clearly made it
- 10:11home in the end. But when I did, and when I took off
- 10:13my took off my trousers, I've got this massive bruise on my thigh and
- 10:18where it's just been banging against my leg like that's how little actual work guy
- 10:22does a bag bang his leg bruise and like a pitch. I may go
- 10:28even, oh god, in in response to what you were saying about you
- 10:33know, oh you feel like an idiot because you can't find your cart.
- 10:37In the end, the bus came around again. I sort of jumped on
- 10:39and said, made this is such a stupid question. But what happens if
- 10:43you can't find your can't not a stupid question? Or might just get in
- 10:46there press the button. You know someone would come find you. What's your
- 10:48name, Oh, guy Davis, Yeah, you're in age last thinging in
- 10:54this age of modern surveillance. It's like, oh, they probably filmed me
- 10:58coming in and all that kind of stuff. While yeah, mat a bet,
- 11:01how long do we find him? An hour? Someone helped the guys.
- 11:05I feel sorry they're watching it, look at this chump walking around the
- 11:09rain. But a very nice angle one came along, got in the man.
- 11:13I said, mate, I felt like such an and he goes,
- 11:13I've done this four times a day. Don't feel bad. And so how
- 11:18did you lose it? Was it in age? It was in Age,
- 11:22but there was a section where Jay and H and G kind of converge,
- 11:26and I was looking at it from the wrong angle as well, this is
- 11:30a fucking a maze. I had no idea how to angle. What do
- 11:33you mean the wrong angle? Looking at the bus stop and from the wrong
- 11:37angle as when I walked to it, it was like, oh, I
- 11:41am diagonally, but you know, it was like a forty five degree angle
- 11:43as opposed to a ninety degree angle something like that. Either way, when
- 11:48I looked at it was like, oh, yeah, that's how I walked
- 11:50to the bus stop. Here's my car and you've all past us six times.
- 11:52Just no, no, I don't know how I missed it. But
- 11:56luckily this very nice gentleman helped me out. So how did you find?
- 12:00He told him where you thought it was? Said, I know I came
- 12:03in that gate. I know I'm in either H or G. I know
- 12:05I'm near the car park. He was, yeah, mate, no worry,
- 12:09we'll find And we did. I mean, and it took maybe ten
- 12:13five or ten minutes in that guy's car to help us out. He was
- 12:16a worker. He was a worker. He was Facebook friends. Well,
- 12:20buddy, lifelong buddies. Remember you're telling the story about your man who had
- 12:24the cool Pokemon card. Oh yeah, yeah, see you on the roof.
- 12:28You were blood brothers. By the end of the day, me and
- 12:31Hess are now blood brothers. He was a good guy. But that's not
- 12:35the end of the story. I get in the car, it starts.
- 12:39I'm like, I'm getting the fuck out of this car park. I just
- 12:41want to go home. Yeah, and you're wet. I was soaked.
- 12:46You know. My girlfriend has no respect for me, no respect instead of
- 12:52just myself. But I get to the get to the out the boom gate,
- 12:58and you know I've paid for for him, so I've got the QR
- 13:01code. QR code not recognized, at which point I'm pushing the button again
- 13:07to speak to a nice person, and deep down you're imploding, like you're
- 13:13you're you're fucking Harry. I'm seeing guy frustrated. I can imagine what was
- 13:20going on. Hi, it's not scanning my QR code. Okay, just
- 13:26you know tepic harp. I said, no, I'm not doing that.
- 13:28I'll reready paid for this ship. Yeah, and it's like, okay,
- 13:31we'll back up and the car behind you. There was a car behind me,
- 13:35but I think they saw my reverse lights and they backed up and went
- 13:37to another lane because I was taking forever. It's nothing worse, right Internet,
- 13:41in this story, when you get to the fucking exit gates and the
- 13:43person in front, it's like you realize that they're for like thirty seconds.
- 13:46You're like they didn't know what they're doing or they've got an issue, and
- 13:50you're like, fucking now, I'm stuck. Yeah, that lane's following.
- 13:52Why did I go that light? So you were that guy? Yeah?
- 13:56I was that guy. But luckily the person who HAMI moved, I'm moved
- 14:00back. A little booma came up, drove out and I was freezer bird
- 14:03And then I realized I did pay for this, right, So did you
- 14:07actually pay for it. I'm pretty sure I did. You didn't pay for
- 14:11it, I'm sure I did. No, No, I paid for it
- 14:13beforehand, before you left. Okay, it's going to say you would have
- 14:16remembered if you paid for a night on the night. I believe. So
- 14:18I'm going to check my account, although I can't really check my account now
- 14:22because in the many misadventures of God, I'm telling this. Tell him down
- 14:28to this story. Before we got on here, he said, you better
- 14:30tell the story to the listeners. I haven't had the end of it yet,
- 14:33so I've had the start and that's out. I woke up this morning
- 14:35sort of yeah, half awake, and I'm checking my emails and a guy
- 14:37feels like he's been watched and listened to you through his phone, which we
- 14:41are, which indeed, but especially me, he's forever wearing that tinfoil hat.
- 14:45That's correct. But this morning I'm looking through things. It's like,
- 14:48well, first of all, it's an email from door Dash Trust door Dash.
- 14:50I mean, they have brought me many fine meals. They seem like
- 14:54a repudial company. The news have to pay that. That is correct.
- 14:58They're saying to me rate house service, and you could get an Amazon gift
- 15:01card. I'm like, do it yeah together, las together, law grade
- 15:09taste taste great Together. I'm going to take this survey. I answer one
- 15:11question as like surveys over. I'm like, wait a minute, wait details,
- 15:18and we will send you your gift cards. Sometimes you can't trust the
- 15:22internet, so like I've gone from half a sleep to fully caffeate. The
- 15:28email was from you dickhead dot com send us he beats yes dot org.
- 15:35It was from Sucker dot dot org dot r t H. Anyway I get
- 15:43on the I get on the email on a different device. We will get
- 15:48a little big girl by the way. Yeah, we'll talk about eventually.
- 15:50It's fine. To my friend Sabbie Steve, my my very tech minded buddy
- 15:56who handles all my technological needs. Forward him the email. I said,
- 16:00is this a scam? I've looked at everything else, but my mum sends
- 16:03me things all the time. Should I open this? I'm like, if
- 16:06you have to ask, you probably don't. Y. So for the next
- 16:08a minutes, I'm like, please don't take away my live savings live savings?
- 16:15Am I supposed to buy bluebies? Or because I wanted to say five
- 16:21It was a five dollars at them. I was gonna say, you did
- 16:25this for five dollars? Correct. Luckily Steve got back in touch and said,
- 16:30not a scam, it's legit. So I'm like, okay, I
- 16:33still haven't got the gift card. But how we supposed to Ho are we
- 16:36supposed to get the gift card? That's a really good question. Now,
- 16:38it was asking what occupation you were? You don't feel like your details like
- 16:42see I mean no, I means I'm just gathering all your details. That's
- 16:45all they're doing. Okay, well, yeah, they were just fishing for
- 16:48Well, it's like, what is your occupation? I said, journal?
- 16:51You know why they do that because then they can say, all right,
- 16:52this guy does this job all you telemarketers. Then they can go all right,
- 16:56we need someone who works in this field. We'll start calling his number.
- 17:00Oh anyway, I look, I don't think my details are out there
- 17:04on the dark web for anyone to steal. But there we go. Did
- 17:08you get your gift card? I don't think I've got my gift card yet?
- 17:11And he show us legit there. I don't know. I trust Steve.
- 17:14I mean he spends a lot of time, But how are you supposed
- 17:17to get your gift card, Well, what's the who's who's it from?
- 17:21From actual door dash dot com? Door dash it used an actual company that
- 17:26does what do you call them? That does online surveys and stuff. I
- 17:32mean I looked that up. Maybe he didn't finish, because sometimes it's just
- 17:34like you're only one step away. Now just give us all these extra details
- 17:37and you can have your extra little gift card. Well that's right. I
- 17:40mean, the only question asked me was what I do? What's my job?
- 17:42And said, you know, and had journalists as the as one of
- 17:45the options, which I took, and then it was like thank you for
- 17:48participating. I'm like, what is that it? Anyway? So look,
- 17:52I may have been scammed. I may not have seen you on your TV
- 17:56and you didn't see the menage, dear son. I don't know the upshot
- 18:03you got good teeth, the upshots I got good tea, got wet,
- 18:07you got good teeth. I eventually got home. So the lovely Louise,
- 18:10We're very happy to see one another again. Now she's out of town for
- 18:12a few days, she'll lose her car. She's a lot smart, nowhere
- 18:21near that. She's the Darcy to your butt very much. She's the is
- 18:26there a Donnie du as opposed to Donnie Don't want Donnie the book? Yeah?
- 18:32Yeah, speaking of the simpsence, yes, we watched an episode of
- 18:34it. We did, Yeah a little Big Girl. So this episode here,
- 18:37I was warned going into my Alie Jay and similar to the South Part
- 18:41podcast last week, we said you're gonna hate me to Hank his Christmas special
- 18:42and I was like, crazy, man, Elliot j sounds like a hater.
- 18:45Then, with all due respect that man, that man runs a tight
- 18:51podcast. He's a he's a tasteful, fun, very very cool gentleman.
- 18:56But yeah, a bit of a hater. Certain when it comes to say
- 19:00pack did you not like A little Bigger? Considered this one of the worst
- 19:03episodes of the season, one of the worst episodes they ever reviewed. And
- 19:04so there's only one good joke in the whole episode. And I'll watch your
- 19:07songs like much in the same thing here because I actually enjoyed most of this.
- 19:11I think it's a bit of a strange one. For the most part,
- 19:15I enjoyed it, especially the Bart story. I enjoyed more than the
- 19:18least one. Least one was a bit sort of like off brand for Lisa.
- 19:21Yes, very off but it reminded me of there's an episode and I
- 19:23believes in season ten called Lisa gets an a maybe me. The premiere of
- 19:27season ten were Lisa Kudrow versus our voices a character from school, and it
- 19:33was it that episode. Anyway, Lisa cheats on a test right esphere,
- 19:37she plays Dashed in Go she pretends to be sick, so she's basically she
- 19:40cheats on a test. She goes to Nelson to find out the answer,
- 19:42so she goes off brand because she has to get good score. She goes
- 19:45against her beliefs. So it's a similar story here where she's going against her
- 19:48beliefs morally to get a good score. She goes pretty far with it,
- 19:52but she also goes pretty far with the cheating as well, because in that
- 19:56episode she she wins some awards and some what's it called when you get scholarships
- 20:00kind of eating and that kind of thing. So as off brand, but
- 20:03like it was, it's still been done before. I must admit, you
- 20:07know, when she first it seems really off brand for this when she starts
- 20:11with the whole ruse, this is very out of character. But yeah,
- 20:17but how many times can you sort of say that when she's being so self
- 20:19righteous all the time, It's like, well, you know, you've got
- 20:22to be consistent with this kind of thing. But then they have like Evil
- 20:25Lisa the reflection saying well, do you want to do it? Do it?
- 20:30Do it? You've got to go to a good college and all this
- 20:33kind of It's been a while since I've had that kind of like conversation,
- 20:34which I don't mind that would have the inner demon. Yeah, I mean,
- 20:38I think when you bring out the inner demon, when you when you
- 20:41have the angel and the devil on the shoulder. Yeah, it's it's a
- 20:47pretty good get it a jail free card. It is about again speaking.
- 20:51So I'll give them props for going. Okay, you recognize that it's off
- 20:55brand, but you're giving yourself an out and giving us an out by result
- 21:00by extension. So I'm like, okay, yeah, I can roll with
- 21:02that. There's also for me, like I'm looking at she's eight and she's
- 21:06always won all these awards. She's seen as like the goody two shoes of
- 21:07the school. There's that fear of getting caught as well. It's like what
- 21:11happens if I, well, I've gotten away with it, and then she
- 21:14didn't wanted to keep going. They sort of like pushed on, now you've
- 21:17been nominated for this, so it's like I'm stuck in this line now,
- 21:19and it's like, what happens if I tell the truth is unravel everything I've
- 21:22worked so hard for that kind of thing as well. No, that makes
- 21:25sense, that makes sense. I mean it's not she deliberately kept pushing it.
- 21:29Yeah, but it was a bit of a thin storyline to even for
- 21:33a B plot to be to stretch out as long as it was. But
- 21:34I think they did okay with it. I liked the like the not you
- 21:38two fibbing bare what I must have been there was a yeah singing, Oh
- 21:45god, how far we've come in you know, a decade, decade and
- 21:48a half. When it comes to certain terms the word midget and things like
- 21:52that. Well, I mean when the guys stands up at the end,
- 21:56when everyone's sort of revealing that they're not necessarily native American, one guy says
- 22:00an aboriginy, it's like, oh my, been a while, that one.
- 22:06I mean where I work, you know, our style guard is changing
- 22:10all the time in terms of like how you can refer to indigenous people or
- 22:12how they prefer to be referred to, or how we should how we should
- 22:15refer to that kind of thing. It's like it's basically in capital letters in
- 22:19the Star guid never say aborigine. Okay, whatted? I was like,
- 22:26I seriously have not heard that word for a decade. I don't think that
- 22:30used to just be that the name it was, And then we went,
- 22:33oh, we're racist. I mean, well, I think technically it's I
- 22:38mean, aboriginal is a term, and aboriginy is also a term thereof,
- 22:42But I mean the way it was used, well, that's the thing.
- 22:45I mean, it's often with so many words. It's like, let's not
- 22:48even go down that how you're saying, yes, let's try to move on
- 22:52from a tone of tone of voice when you're saying that. But yeah,
- 22:55I mean, just to hear that, I was kind of like, WHOA,
- 22:56yeah, racist. I did like though that it was consistent throughout that
- 23:04Lisa was the only one calling them Native Americans when everyone else was saying Indian.
- 23:10So but would say Indian, Hope would say Indian, and she kept
- 23:11saying Native Americans. That's almost still showing she's still the righteous person here,
- 23:18she's still not doing the right thing. She's doing the right thing, but
- 23:21she has the she has the good she has good intentions, except not wholly
- 23:26good intentions. She's a good person in this scenario, she sort of just
- 23:29made made a wrong decision and now she's stuck. And look, that's half
- 23:33of the course with any good comedy. It's like you make one bad choice
- 23:37that sort of snowballs into a whole bunch of other It becomes a worst choice,
- 23:41becomes the worst choice becomes So I think the act too, is that
- 23:47she comes clean and doesn't get caught. True, true, I mean she
- 23:51just gets caught and goes you're right, I'm not this. It's like,
- 23:53ah, you're caught in the actors like it comes across the worset as opposed
- 23:56to I can't do this anymore. Look, this is I'm just telling the
- 23:59truth and for other people to sort of cop to I'm not either. I
- 24:03don't think it's like a spread the blame. Well, it actually relates to
- 24:06your story before, where it's just like you don't know what to say,
- 24:07I lost my car, and then you look around you're like, yeah,
- 24:10I lost my car. Too old jumps one person, one person's their hands
- 24:15up. Everyone does. But the Bart story. So you Natalie Portman.
- 24:18So she voiced Darcy. I thought she did a fantastic job with Darcy.
- 24:22It's one of those performances you get from well, I mean, Natalie Portman's
- 24:26kind of a household name. Yeah, I mean she was in the Star
- 24:29Wars movies. Not as much now I don't reckon, but she like the
- 24:33twenty ten's in near two thousands, she definitely was because of Star Wars,
- 24:37but she was everywhere for what I haven't seen like a like a blockbuster film
- 24:41with Natalie Portmand for a while though. I don't think, No, I
- 24:42don't think she's really she doesn't need to, but probably not. What was
- 24:48it she had like black Swan? She was black Swan? Wasn't she Swan?
- 24:51She wanted to ask her for that? Yeah? And what was the
- 24:52one where she, Oh, that's Hillary Swank? Wasn't it the Boxing one
- 24:56million? Do about as Hillary Swank? Yees? Yeah, she's got a
- 24:59movie coming out at the end of the years. I don't know if it's
- 25:02going to be in cinemas here, but it's definitely gonna be on Netflix called
- 25:06May December with Julianne Moore that's apparently really really good, okay, and she's
- 25:10apparently very good in it. I mean you watched on like talk shows and
- 25:15stuff, and you're like, I want to hang out with you. Well,
- 25:17yeah, I mean there's a lot of talk about Natalie Putman good actor,
- 25:19bad actor? Is it really okay? Yeah? I mean I tend
- 25:25to err on the side of good. I mean the performancy won the Oscar
- 25:29for in Black Swan, I think is really very very good, very fearless,
- 25:33very bold, And yeah, I mean she does good work. But
- 25:36at the same time, I think she might be as good as the material
- 25:38that she's given, because I mean, I don't think anyone could do as
- 25:41good at a good job in Star Wars Queen, and she's It's crazy to
- 25:45think that Natalie Portman and you McGregor and Liam Neeson were in Phantom Menace.
- 25:49Oh God, that's an all star fucking cast. And then you've got Samuel
- 25:52L. Jackson, yes, of Lee, and you know a whole bunch
- 25:56of other good actors in them as well. You think, like the original
- 25:57ones, Harrison Ford wasn't a household DAMI you and the first time I came
- 26:00out so like these were all newcomers, right, absolutely, but like George
- 26:03just went bang as a kid I didn't appreciate. But you look back then
- 26:04and you're like, holy shit, what it. Yeah, you've got some
- 26:07bangers for this there, and they couldn't even turn this shit into gold,
- 26:11you know. So, but it's funny. I mean, she's For a
- 26:17while I was like, is this voice this is sort of familiar? Tell
- 26:21you can tell sometimes when you're watch any character this is somebody, Yes,
- 26:25but it's like, okay, have they got yeah, not that this Sarah
- 26:29Gilbert, but it's like, oh, they got Sarah Gilbert, or they
- 26:32got more like an A lister And yeah, seeing the ends, like oh
- 26:34that's Natalie Portman. That's interesting. The best thing as too, is you
- 26:37couldn't tell who it was either. They're the best performances. Yeah. So
- 26:41what I was sort of alluding to at the start was it was the kind
- 26:45of voice performance you get from an actual actor yep, as opposed to someone
- 26:52who's cast for their name. I mean, Natalie Portman's a name, of
- 26:55course, but she's also okay, well I'm going to try and give an
- 26:57actual acting performance here. And the fact that well, I mean, some
- 27:02people may have gone, hey, that's Natalie Portman from the from the get
- 27:03go. It took me to the end credits, go oh that's Natalie Portman,
- 27:07like, okay, good for you, because I just thought, okay,
- 27:11this is Darcy. It's someone I recognized, but who I'm more interested
- 27:15in the character. I just thought she did a Darcy character, was charming,
- 27:18like we also a bit of a badass as well. Oh yeah,
- 27:22well knocked up at fifteen. Yeah, yeah, she's not a good girl,
- 27:26but she also seems like she's got a good heart. Oh yeah,
- 27:30she doesn't seem like a monster. And that and one can she wanted to
- 27:33get into a car because he got stereo music. Like, she's clearly a
- 27:36bit of a bad girl. You can see the three girls are looking at
- 27:40each other. Yeah, okay, I'll get it. I mean I must
- 27:45have meant. I was surprised at the amount of making out between How was
- 27:48Bart ten? He's ten? Yeah, and that also felt a little bit
- 27:52off Brands. I was just like, if you willing to sort of put
- 27:52aside the fact that Lisa's doing this and Bart as a ten year old is
- 27:56sort of in a storyline with like pregnancy and things like that. To get
- 28:00all of that. It's I enjoyed it. I can't understands how some people
- 28:03will watch this and go, that's ridiculous. He's ten. How could she
- 28:06ever think that he's anything older than ten? A ten year old looks like
- 28:08a ten year old? Correct, and you can pull all the Benjamin button.
- 28:11Yeah, sort of disease. I think fifteen is like too old to
- 28:15four for that excuse. Oh yes, absolutely. Yeah. I did like
- 28:19the setup though, of him getting his own license, because the thing is
- 28:22she's like, well, he does have his own license. Yeah, how
- 28:26does she think he was sixteen to drive? Sixteen? Yeah? So she
- 28:30thought he years older? Yeah, I guess she must thought he was at
- 28:33least sixteen. Yeah. Yeah. I did like the setup of him,
- 28:37at least, as silly as it may have been, at least it explained
- 28:40why he had a license. It was a very long setup. It was
- 28:42very prolonged and drawn out setup, and I must admit at the very start,
- 28:48when you know, it's like how does this fire start? Okay,
- 28:49it starts with a fire. At the what are they want to call him?
- 28:52Sperlunka's Sprung's Sparkler, Sparkler, Yeah, at the Sparkler property, at
- 29:00the farm. Yeah, this is like, this is going on a bit.
- 29:04I don't know. Oh, okay, you've got to do it so
- 29:07you can have the fire that nearly burns down the town and then oh then
- 29:11okay, and now Bart's a hero and he can have anything he wants.
- 29:12Now he's a license. Okay. Took a while, it did. Yeah,
- 29:17it's kind of like the testing, like just that took a while to
- 29:21get to that moment as well. But yeah, sometimes the long drawn up
- 29:22ones aren't too bad. This one not a lot happened though. We had
- 29:26We had the long sequence of the chicken starting the fire and things like that,
- 29:30and it's just like, what's all this about? Yeah it didn't.
- 29:33It's just like, ah, so you just killing time. Really. I
- 29:37mean, what I did like about the episode was a couple I did want
- 29:38to point it, particularly like that scene. There wasn't the scene itself,
- 29:41but it was a couple of moments where we had good the music in it.
- 29:45So we had like the tune that's like Golden near symptons. Just have
- 29:49that all the time. Yeah, well that's old looney tune. Yes,
- 29:52Oh, you looked it up. What it was something like that. Yeah,
- 29:56but we also had the sequence music when he's sticking of things he could
- 30:00get because he said it was like, what did they use that for?
- 30:07It's it's just various, like when people are thinking of happy things they could
- 30:10do. Yes, but I just took me back to like the Golden Year
- 30:12of the Simptons because I haven't heard those tunes for a while. With the
- 30:15last time we had that first bit of music there was when Homer had the
- 30:18duck in the swimming that the rope duck, but that went through the Yeah,
- 30:23so I like that element. But yeah, I'm just watching this going.
- 30:26So that was a whole lot of nothing, that's true. There were
- 30:30look, not prolonged sequences here that or a whole lot of nothing, but
- 30:33there were bits in this is like you're stretching padding in a bit. Yeah,
- 30:37yeah, this is full of padding considering your two stories going very much
- 30:40so. Yeah, but I did. I said this to you off the
- 30:42air. I related so much to Bart now understanding what it's like to have
- 30:47to be the driver, like Homer being the kid because his whole life Homers
- 30:51or Marge in particular, has given him around. Now it's the other way
- 30:53around. He realizes this an't fun. So I was driving the kids to
- 30:56school today. I'm just like, so, I've got to get yourself,
- 31:00get your dressed, get you fed, get your teeth brushed, get you
- 31:03in the car, get him to kinder, get hurt the daycare, then
- 31:06get back Jesus Christ. Oh yeah. And the whole time that it's like,
- 31:08I don't want to do something. Do you think I want to do?
- 31:14We can all be at home on the couch, bron the TV.
- 31:15Like you're laying there. I'm changing, I'm wipping shit off your eyes and
- 31:19you're going, yeah, well you're not doing anything. You just sat down
- 31:22and took a ship, and now I'm cleaning it for you. You're getting
- 31:25white. You're like a little Roman emperor. Oh yeah, I mean,
- 31:30I'm sure I've said plenty of times, just particularly as I get older.
- 31:33You know, you look back and you're like, oh my god, my
- 31:37folks did so much stuff for me. Mean, I don't have driving around
- 31:41to the extent that you are. But I mean I've done it. I've
- 31:45done it enough times with lose kids. I've done it maybe five I've done
- 31:52it enough adults now enough times to sort of recognize like, oh my god,
- 31:56if I had to do this all the time, yeah, i'd go
- 32:01and say I'd be a bit snappy, and I'll be but yeah, I
- 32:05was thinking about my mum sort of like, can you drag me into tensh
- 32:07we can go exchinge some comic books. It's chemic book Steward Margaret Mary is
- 32:13probably you were not to my side? Why did you take better carry your
- 32:16teeth? Nowhere? Have we got a bar? Consider I reading comic books?
- 32:21Fuck you? Ah man. The other thing I thought they could have
- 32:24improved a lot in this episode was the North haver book aspects. Right,
- 32:28so they're finally going to north Have we so much about this town? We've
- 32:30never seen it fleshed out like this before, right? Yeah? I mean
- 32:35they got a monorail at North Haverbrook, didn't they? Well, no Monrolhi
- 32:38and there never was, so so that's that's so basically Lyl only sold them
- 32:43one and they're fucked up obviously. And at the end of the March versus
- 32:45the monail episode is like North Haverbook, where do I know that? And
- 32:49they're there with their pitchforks. Oh okay, that's North Haverbook. So obviously
- 32:52the town got screwed over because of that and they lost a lot of money.
- 32:54That the pyramid scheme was I wasn't the one in Geelong. We we
- 32:59lost all our money. Oh yeah, that was literally a pyramid because it
- 33:01was a cor pi. Yeah, what was it called the pyramid building side?
- 33:06It was a pyramid. Yeah, oh my god. In hindsight,
- 33:10wait a minute, one question surveys. It's run by a gentleman named mister
- 33:19Ponsi basically, but it seems that Northavybook's got to ship together and it's back
- 33:24on the right. It sounds like a cool joint. It would have been
- 33:27nice, though, to have some sort of reference to Aila La Lanley as
- 33:30a call back to Phil Hartman or one around. Yeah, it's been a
- 33:34while since I've seen American graffiti, but I was thinking the whole bit where
- 33:37Bart sort of driving around the town square and it's like Rock around the Clock
- 33:40is playing playing. It's meant to be like an American graffiti shadow or something
- 33:44like that, or a happy Days kind of thing, because I mean,
- 33:46the town look the other vibe that I was kind of like back to the
- 33:50future, you know, and is it Hill Valley the town and that's exactly
- 33:53the square, the same place where they filmed Gremlins, right, Yeah,
- 33:58it's just got that whole American small town. It's a perfect son. Yeah,
- 34:04on a sad day night in your car and yeah, that's the biber
- 34:07gout and it's like, well, this seems like a nice place to hang
- 34:08out, like a place living in the fifties to yeah, you meet a
- 34:12nice gal. Yeah yeah, yeah, you got knocked up by a Norwegian
- 34:15steam student. My favorite. All right, what were your favorite moments in
- 34:21the episode? Gosh, we might have already gone through. I did.
- 34:23I did a few more than usual. Actually, okay, I did.
- 34:27One thing I did like was when after Bart has inadvertently put out the fire
- 34:35from Let's Get a Wasted. I thought you like that? Yeah, I
- 34:38thought that was pretty fie. I like, she's like, I'm pregnant,
- 34:42Bart's gone, He's in the car, looks up seas she's looking at him,
- 34:46keeps trying to get away. It's just that disappeared, like Bart's ten
- 34:51and he still knows to get the fuck out. Absolutely. I think Natalie
- 34:54Portman's performance in general is probably one of my favorite bits. Yeah, it
- 34:57was just also not overdoing it. But yeah, she found some just interesting
- 35:04interesting notes to play in. Yeah, what could be a fairly run.
- 35:07The milk character did a good job. I like mister Teeny trying to get
- 35:10away from Krusty with where you going silly. As silly as it is,
- 35:16I can envision this being in like season six or season five of The Simpsons
- 35:21when Homer is teaching by how to drive and he has road rage and turns
- 35:22out to be Marge. That's just classic Simpsons to me, just Marge.
- 35:28I also liked the this was odd, I know, but the gas station
- 35:35to go to the gas station to reflat these tires, but that actually fleetes
- 35:37volleyballs froment to the prison for chaos and confusion. I'm like, that just
- 35:42seems bizarre, but also I would like to see it. I want to
- 35:45see what would happen if you threw volleyballs into a prison. Wouldn't be chaos
- 35:49and confusion? Do you think she would? What would happen? They'd be
- 35:51like what the fuck? Imagine? So like what Like, I'm just like,
- 35:55I don't know why that I find that funny, but that that vision,
- 35:59I'm like, I want to see that happen. It feels very much
- 36:01like an end of the day of not end of the week gag and the
- 36:05writers. It's like he's got to say something of like those okay, no
- 36:08bad ideas, throw what you got. And someone says something about instead of
- 36:13fleeting, tasting, fleet both walls and throw them over the wall. Bad
- 36:15idea. Let's use it anyway. That's It's the four fifty four PM on
- 36:22Friday and Bill Likely's got to go get a mega ribone. Bill is long
- 36:27gone, but I was thinking about Bill in this way because I was following
- 36:32Bill on Twitter and someone mentioned, Hey, Australia is bringing back that meg
- 36:36rib and I'm like, oh, guys, gonna go check that shit.
- 36:39It's funny whenever they say it was in Australia bringing back something that everyone's always
- 36:44asking for. Once it's always a big rib. I'd never have to open
- 36:45up like, that's the mc ribb again, isn't it? Well? I
- 36:49had one last night. It was pretty taste, pretty tasty, Okay,
- 36:52do you reckon? The Simpsons popularized it with the Butch. Could well be
- 36:55because it was obviously out before the episode the simpisons. But I feel like
- 36:59everyone when I think of the meatrib, I think at the route wich.
- 37:01Yeah, and I also enjoyed because I know it's kind of like obnoxious Homer,
- 37:07but it's not because we've all been in this situation where we've put a
- 37:09stepped in it. When he's talking about getting knocked up before you married anings,
- 37:14he just kept going and going like it just a war. Next question,
- 37:20you there eating the beast. All right, trivia, mister Davis.
- 37:22But before we do that, we of course need to read the names of
- 37:25our stone cutters. Oh yeah, that's right, Yes, a beloved stone
- 37:28cuts name. Now they do, indeed, starting with Katie g for her
- 37:30one hundred dollars REDU support cutting the most stone Andrews with his fifty dollars support

- 38:22the song plays the theme? Maybe just play the clip please rather than subject
- 38:28people to our singing. All right, My first question for you is what
- 38:30book was Margine reading at at the very beginning? I was going to be
- 38:35nagging your way to ecstasy. When Bart is thinking about the wishes that he
- 38:43could have fulfilled, his face is on what currency? Five dollar bill?
- 38:47He's on the five dollar bill? What are Bart's final words? He says
- 38:52that while he's driving at list sucks. Yes, John squawking Bear reports which
- 39:00newspaper I've got it? It starts with Chip doesn't it? But what does
- 39:05the Chippewa bugle? I did like squeak screaming editor, But it's just a
- 39:08joke. I can't. I can't fun what after? What's coming up?
- 39:15After Lisa's speech at the it's like ten am Lisa, It's it's the eternal
- 39:22debate about wigwam versus TP. The debate continues to explain with what they are
- 39:30or they're tense. Yeah, well one of them is made out of like
- 39:32bark and ship. It's more like an igloo looking thing. The other one's
- 39:36a TP. We know what a TP? That's true? Yeah, I
- 39:37mean I remember when I the first time I went to when see a therapist,
- 39:43I said, I can't have this recurring dream that I'm sometimes and I'm
- 39:47a wig warm and sometimes and I'm a TP. And said you're two tents.
- 39:54Said Bobby tell you that one dad loved a dad joke. I was
- 40:02trying to pull that off. Funny man, I was trying to pull that
- 40:06off. Alah Jerry in the most Fish episode, Yeah, White Fisher,
- 40:12thin fish. See we just reviewed the watch? Was it? The watch?
- 40:16Was the watch of the wallet? Did the start with the wallet?
- 40:19And yeah? Six episodes into season four of Seinfelders. You want to hear
- 40:22our Seinefeld reviews, just head up to our Patreon channel for talking Seinfeld.
- 40:27Indeed, you'll hear more dad jokes like that, Yes, is it margin?
- 40:31Yes, we've got one left and you've got one left, one or
- 40:34two whatever? You Well, let's see the two hundred dollars worth of Colorado
- 40:38bubble gum is named what or the brand? Yes? Oh, no,
- 40:42idea? What was it? It was called Rocky Mountain chew okay. In
- 40:45the same scene is where this question comes from? What did Bart and Darcy
- 40:47bay in Utah? Where they realized it from Utah? Oh? Damn,
- 40:53oh no, I forgot dingleberries, Dinger. Let me have a look through
- 41:00my loost. I have no more questions for you, all right, So
- 41:01let's get into a review of the episode A Little Big Girl originally aired February
- 41:07eleventh, two thousand and seven. It was written by Don Payne and directed
- 41:10by Raymond s Percy. The chopboard actually happens during the episode when he says,
- 41:15so long, Stuckers when he's got his car. We've got one of
- 41:17those new intros as well, except he was in the car this time.
- 41:20How do you like them when they do that? And the couch gig is
- 41:22the Simpsons are stand up paper dolls in their underwear. A pair of hands
- 41:25puts clothes on them, after which they smile and sit on the couch.
- 41:29So there as a kicks off with just everyone chilling at home and I've just
- 41:30got here. I love these moments when it's just like everyone's just not interacting,
- 41:37but they're all at peace. Yes, quiet like when you got two
- 41:40kids around the house. Sometimes like Holly be drawing, Elliott be playing with
- 41:44a playdo or whatever. We're gonna use it instead of women beat Elliott,
- 41:51you know, be playing with a playdo or whatever with his toys and his
- 41:52room or whatever. Nicholas is sitting there on her phone. I'm just sitting
- 41:55there going a moment of peace. Yeah, it's like there, give me
- 41:59a lift. It's gonnat nuggets. But yeah, I just like to sit
- 42:04hear my notes. I just love it when everyone's just relaxing. At least
- 42:06it says tomorrow is multicultural day at school. Now Homers is here. Now
- 42:09what do they want? So at the start is a bit of a joke.
- 42:13He's representing there pretty much the people who still use the bridginy. Well,
- 42:16yeah, there's that mentality of I've already got a voice. Yeah,
- 42:21what do they want? It's just like, can you just go away please?
- 42:25But she says that we've got a boring family history. There's nothing there.
- 42:29Grandpa rocks up for one little scene here, basically saying the families as
- 42:31boring as a cup of water that a cup of water and the land flavors
- 42:36with the cup of water that you put the used scoops in, and closes
- 42:39that with Grandpa out, which is the most two thousand things to wherever?
- 42:43Two thousand? Yeah, and how we was it march saying, oh Grandpa,
- 42:45weishl take more photos of him whilst we still can. Camera's broken.
- 42:49I was like again with the we hate Grandpa games. Yeah, the difference
- 42:53between being like just mean and just haha grandpa. Yeah, I mean,
- 42:59I was thinking about this the other day after we you know, we recently
- 43:01talked about how just Grandpa is becoming the pointless. Now, Yeah, I
- 43:06think about probably my favorite Grandpa related line, and it's early on, but
- 43:13it's like, why are you inviting me? Does my face remind you of
- 43:16the grim specter of death? Home goes yeah, but there's more, which
- 43:24is just one of the best comebacks of all time. I just oh,
- 43:29I love that so much. And it's like if you've in a situation where
- 43:32you're like, oh god, my parents are going yeah, I love them,
- 43:36but kind of a burden or oh man really yeah, just that really
- 43:39sums up. Yeah, but there's more. I just thought there was no
- 43:44coming back from a million dollar aby with Grandpa where the family didn't even know
- 43:46that he'd attempt to commit suicide. Yeah. No, it's kind of a
- 43:51mess at the stage with Grandpa. I mean, you got to be I
- 43:52don't know how we're gonna pull out of this tail spin, but you know,
- 43:54we got many episodes to find out. I wonder if if they had
- 43:57have like killed off Grandpa in the teens, I'll just say he had a
- 44:00diet, a million dollar age. We didn't get that bullshitting, that bullshit
- 44:04bullfighting scene at the end, which made no sense. He's just all of
- 44:07a sudden rejuvenative of life and wants to do bullfighting. I wonder if it
- 44:09would have meant something. Yeah, I mean, well, that leads us
- 44:13into a hole, because I feel like since then, there's just been nothing
- 44:15with Grandpa. It's just oh, he walks in, they say how much
- 44:16they hate him, and he leaves. Yeah, I mean I think they
- 44:20want to keep that card up this sleep. Yeah, it's always there's always
- 44:24the possibility of, like, we've got a really interesting story to tell about,
- 44:28you know, the generation gap, or you know, dealing with aging
- 44:31parents, or you know what it's like to be old in a society that
- 44:34sort of revers the young. And Grandpa is a good way to do that.
- 44:37But you know, to sort of keep reminding you that he exists,
- 44:39you're going to have to have dumbas gags like this every once in a while.
- 44:44It's unfortunate. But they even need him though in this scene. In
- 44:46this scene, no, no, no, no, I mean I think
- 44:50they were very happy with the line about you know, thirty one flight ice
- 44:53cream. Yeah, I think that's it. That's the only you could just
- 44:55end it after he's finished speaking. Don't have to say Grandpa out, just
- 44:59move on. No, but Grandpa are out. It's like, yeah,
- 45:00what's the point of this. Yeah, I mean he would never say,
- 45:04it's not the way he would speak. No. No, the one thing
- 45:07we know about Grandpa, and it's like you know he's not with it anymore,
- 45:08and it'll happen to you. So Lisa's now working at night, and
- 45:13Bart walks in and makes the as he says, Indian woman and the Lakeland
- 45:16Box show her boobs. Lisa then says Native American straft that, so I've
- 45:21just got my notes, like I said, Native American and Indians, sort
- 45:22of showing the two differences there. She realizes that a noble heritage is anyone
- 45:27is something that anyone can claim, So she gets the idea to make up
- 45:30history just like I don't know, boy was like, does it it feels
- 45:35out of character in a number of ways. I mean it feels like she
- 45:37said she mentions cultural appropriation or appropriating another race or something like that, Yeah,
- 45:44which also seems out of character. And then just the whole moral aspect
- 45:49of it. Yeah, first of all the cheating and then yeah, the
- 45:51misrepresentation. Yeah, it's it does seem so out of character and so off
- 45:54brand, as we said, but again, like I said, having evil
- 46:00Lisa sort of talker into it for the reasons that Lisa would do something like
- 46:05this is a part of you that's just like it's almost like you're telling yourself
- 46:08because you know it's wrong, but you're like, I have to justify it
- 46:12somehow. Yeah, it wasn't me, it was me. They told me
- 46:14to do it. My great great great great great grandmother was a Native American.
- 46:22She was a member of the Hitachi tribe. And what was a close
- 46:34branded hatachi. Oh, well, there's is there hibachi? But that's it?
- 46:39Yeah, but I don't think that's actually there is a thing called hibachi.
- 46:43I know that about you. I think that's Japanese cooking hibachi grill.
- 46:47Maybe it's meant to be hibachi could yeah, because the microwave. But as
- 46:51you were saying, though, yeah, is it wrong to appropriate culture of
- 46:52long suffering people? As she sees the reflection, who tells her to do
- 46:55it? Wait? Is it wrong for me to appropriate the culture of a
- 47:00long suffering people? I'll tell you what's wrong. You getting a C on
- 47:05this project and winding up? But at third rate college, Lisa, the
- 47:07world needs you to go to Wellesley. You're right, I just need to
- 47:12sign traditional garb. I did like that the kitchen curtains finally got a use
- 47:16because I've benevers ince the beginning of the show. The corn curtains, Yeah,
- 47:21that's true. This just in from Google. I Touch You is actually
- 47:24a brand. Oh shit, I Touched You Australia offers a wide range of
- 47:31products and services in the region, including, but not restricted to, construction
- 47:36machines and commercial vehicles and home appliances. Oh well, there you go.
- 47:38I had no ideas I wanted, no one else thought about. Realized that
- 47:40she was doing the wrong thing because normally they do off brand stuff. And
- 47:44the Simpsons, yeah, exactly, think he's a real thing. They'd be
- 47:45like, usually it's Sawny. Yeah, panaphonic. I'm team Sawney, your
- 47:51team panaforn. She gives her a talk at school and she says, don't
- 47:57research my history, being insult to research my tribes history. She has chosen
- 48:00to represent the school at the multicultural event. That's some sort of some event.
- 48:05Ye, well, of course we saw Nelson as a as a traditional
- 48:09German. Yeah, cultural incentive by having I think it's a jimbo with the
- 48:15plate in his lip. It was Dolph, Yeah, it was Dolph.
- 48:17Yeah, with the I think some of your Brazilian indigenous tribes, maybe African.
- 48:22I think a lot of places put plates in the lot. Looks painful.
- 48:25It looks painful as fuck. But you also saw Ralph in basically a
- 48:30dog outfit. He had like a little black nose and it looked like dog
- 48:36ears. Yeah, oh Ralph, speaking of where was I the other day?
- 48:40Ah? No, it was when we were in Melbourne, right,
- 48:43we're seeing the friends Experienced, Nicko and I. It was like a whole
- 48:45group of fairies walking down the street. Oh my gosh, that was fucking
- 48:49weird. They just walking down the street or making animal sounds to each other.
- 48:52It was like the grebous as it's Nikoler just walk around. These people
- 48:57don't don't acknowledge it because they would come over here. They'll start home your
- 49:00leg. Yeah, so she starts. We sort of walking around and all
- 49:01just going just making an animal sounds. I was like, what the fuck
- 49:07is going on? Nicholas, Like what I was? What they call themselves
- 49:12fairies? She's like, whoa, look, whatever gets you through the night.
- 49:16Just because you mentioned his dog costumes reminded me of these fairies. Yeah,
- 49:20whatever gets is through the night, but you know, maybe keep it
- 49:22behind closed doors. A good friend of ours and where we used to work.
- 49:25Do you heard his fairy story? Oh? Yeah, so a friend
- 49:30of ours went to a convention at Super and Over and saw someone in his
- 49:32big fairy suit and I was like, oh, that's cool, and he's
- 49:35like, give me a hug. He cuddled them, and the person cut
- 49:37him and went in his ear. He thought he was just cuddling someone in
- 49:44a funny wookie suit. No, it was a fairy who enjoyed enjoyed the
- 49:47contact. Someone took a screen gab screen grab of Willem Dafoe in the First
- 49:57Spider Man movie where he's talking to his son in the back of the limits.
- 50:00Never be ashamed of who you are, and they've blocked out the never.
- 50:05I use that all the time. Be ashamed of who you are to
- 50:09yourself. Well, yeah, certainly not to Furries. But cletus here he's
- 50:15he's sung of the c minus so he's going to make some rum But Brandon's
- 50:17joining Rats in the bath and just get this is basically just to set up
- 50:21the fire. Yes, that's a weird little sequence. Just watch the episode
- 50:22if you want to see. It's not much to talk about, but during
- 50:25it the fires going into Springfield, we get very on the nose gay joke
- 50:30with Smithers. Now, this is a difference between the Smithers is Gay joke
- 50:31in season eighteen and Smithers is Gay joking season three. Yes, the difference
- 50:37between this saying I'm flaming and Burns looking like Jack Benny at the camera going
- 50:40yeah, oh my where in season three it was I believe women and seamen
- 50:45don't mix it. We all know what you think. Big difference, Yes,
- 50:47indeed, I mean being aware of the joke, even if it's a
- 50:52cheap joke, is not necessarily excusing the use of a cheap joke. Smithers,
- 50:57Sorry, Burns. The whole joke was that he didn't know that this
- 51:00was gay, Like he sort of was, like, we felt a little
- 51:02odd about it, like that's a bit weird, but like he never actually
- 51:05knew that he was gay or openly admitted that he knew he was gay.
- 51:08He looked at the camera like this. It's just like you're having him admit
- 51:12to the people at home that he knows he's games. It's like, I
- 51:15don't know. It didn't work for me. It felt like something that you'd
- 51:16they've slapped together to throw in the commercial teaser. Yeah, but I don't
- 51:22know a fourth wall breaking actually works in the Simpsons I'm not huge on it.
- 51:25Nah, Yeah, I don't mind the gags for example, where they
- 51:30say, you know, cartoons don't need to make sense, and you have
- 51:32Homer walking past the window when he's that's yeah, that's a different kind of
- 51:35fourth wall backing game. But when they're acknowledging the audience at home, I'm
- 51:37just like, I don't know. It never It's never really worked for me
- 51:39either. Yeah, it feels more like a dumb ass Saturday Night Live thing
- 51:44or like a like a cheap variety show gag. God, will he that
- 51:49fire is headed right for the tether ball pole? Put it out? I
- 51:52cannot. All the extinguishers are gone. Then I'm afraid these wet ones will
- 51:59have to do the jar. God these a prayer than Charles Gruden quip.
- 52:06Yeah, Charles Croden reference here, think about this the other So for some
- 52:10reason it came up my algorithm, like a ten minute clip of Charles Groden
- 52:15when he was on like the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. And I'm sorry
- 52:20throwing out of these names that are fresher than tomorrow. But Croden was a
- 52:22regular on the Tonight Show because he just everyone was like afraid of Johnny Carsoners,
- 52:27who like one of the most powerful people in show, Butson cart and
- 52:30Groden just was so dry and so committed to the bit that he was basically
- 52:35insulting Johnny to his face, like do you enjoy what you do? You
- 52:37know? Do you do you like talking about this stuff with me? I
- 52:40don't like talking about do you? And Carson's trying to sort of like keep
- 52:45up with him, keep up with him essentially. I mean, it was
- 52:46like watching too fucking Samurai go at it. It seems like when Robin Williams
- 52:52used to go on who is the talk Ferguson, Craig Ferguson, whatever?
- 52:57Those two are on the talk show together. Unbelievable. It's just two mate,
- 53:00just riffing. There's nothing but there's nothing better than that when you know
- 53:04two people are sort of they know about each other. Yeah, they've got
- 53:07respect and they know that they've got a bit to work with. But it's
- 53:09like, I can't tell a few people actually really dislike each other or you
- 53:15know, wait, was this for real? I always say this and sometimes
- 53:17I make good on it, But yes, that's something I'll definitely put up
- 53:20on the patrons that clip. I'll they always preface it with that, just
- 53:23to make sure sometimes I forget, but really trying to put out the fire
- 53:30with with some wet ones. The extimulators are all gone. That's always making
- 53:34a music wet ones, and turns out button Mill has have taken them all
- 53:37to make like this little super GoCart which takes off. Now, did you
- 53:39get like Charlie Brown vibes here when he's colored in the stuff? Yeah,
- 53:44it looks like I actually didn't I push pause on that moment where millhous to
- 53:46just stand there with the phone all over it. It's actually a really beautifully
- 53:50it's a nicely put together a little shot. Yeah, yeah, I'm like
- 53:52it'd be a nice art piece or something. But the town's now all on
- 53:55fire. Were Kevin's kindling, Mark's methane mard and just match heads now a
- 54:00joke here again, another two characters that they can't seem to work out what
- 54:04they're doing with anymore. Lenny and Karl. Right, yeah, so Lenny
- 54:06and Carl say, our mum works in them, Like what do you mean
- 54:10your mum? Do you have the same mum? Now? What again?
- 54:15Yeah, it's it's like the like the mister burns gag where he sort of
- 54:17turning the camera. It's like, yeah, we know you're all talking about,
- 54:21Oh, Smithers is probably gay. Smithers is gay. We know you're
- 54:27all at home saying, what's the what's the deal with Lenny and Carl?
- 54:30You know, God, they're so close and you know, what's the deal
- 54:31with them? And like, okay, we're going to acknowledge that you're not
- 54:37huge on it. I'm not huge on mal So Bart says the day puts
- 54:45out the fire by accident, doesn't realize what he's doing. It's just he
- 54:47was oblivious to the fire in the first place. Beside Joe Mouse says he's
- 54:51a hero. Let's go some hoisting. So everyone's happy about it. You
- 54:52saved the town. Mayor says he can have anything that he wants, and
- 54:55he thinks about when he can have printed money or have his face printed on
- 54:59money he can have of was it just like vending machines to bloodstream something like
- 55:04that? Was it slushy slushy slopy to his bloodshare or whatever? And then
- 55:08kiss Bart's ass day. Basically Harry Potter was in the line. Yeah a
- 55:13reference, because we've never heard Bart be anti Harry no. Yeah, I
- 55:16mean, well, because it's just funny in two thousand and seven or whatever
- 55:20to make fun of Harry Potter very much. Yeah, maybe, Yeah,
- 55:22I want a license? Do you kill? No to drive? Shoot yourself?
- 55:29Do you wish to be an organ donut? No way, I don't
- 55:31want my guts touching some sick guy. You make a good point. Oh
- 55:38yeah, I agree. This is a bad time for me to have a
- 55:43massive organ failure. Where do you think you're going? Have you again donate
- 55:52your organs? Oh? Absolutely, if they're very used to anyone. Yeah,
- 55:54how do you set it up just to like apply for something that's just
- 55:58on your driver's license? Isn't it? Is it? I think so.
- 56:00I didn't know that I was gonna ask because they always seem to be carrying
- 56:04around cards in America, but I've never I didn't realize on our driver's license.
- 56:06I'm pretty sure it's attached to your driver's life. If you have an
- 56:08accent, whatever, they can just take you stuff away. Yeah, because
- 56:10I mean that's it. It's your primary form of identification for most people anyway,
- 56:15it's a driver's license. And yeah, I remember having to like tick
- 56:20a box saying do you want to be an ORGANI and I'm like, yeah,
- 56:22why not them? Homer is taken by that for driving lessons of you
- 56:23at the roadbate he with Marge, which I actually really enjoyed. Oh,
- 56:29I can't believe this day is already here, me taking you for your first
- 56:34driving legends at your cut it off posy Marshall Tucker idiot? Yeah, yeah,
- 56:43well is that you for it? Now? Who's Marshall Tucker? Yeah,
- 56:49that's a good question. Let's look it up, shall we. Yeah.
- 56:52I would to say, based on that name alone, like a country
- 56:53singer songwriter, I'm gonna say country singer songwriter as well. The Marshall Tucker
- 56:58Band is an American rock band from Spantenberg, South Carolina, noted for incorporating
- 57:02blues, country, and jazz. Guys of my kind of sound. Yes,
- 57:08take Marshall Tucker and then we get the new intro with Jessica by the
- 57:13Allman Brothers playing in the background and basically just Spart driving the car, running
- 57:15everybody over. Lisa's giving her speech at the Springfield Multicultural Center. She says
- 57:20that her tribe invented women's lacrosse soft luggage and that thing where you're trying to
- 57:23walk by, and you sort of walking to the same side, and then
- 57:25eventually one person sept the side and you go around. That has seven names
- 57:29for that. But she wants to go straight away. She's just like,
- 57:30look, I feel bad about this. She sort of she didn't have to
- 57:34go along with it this far, but I guess, like I said earlier,
- 57:37she's scared of what would happen if she comes clean. But she says
- 57:38some of her research wasn't thoroughly fact checked, just like CBS News, as
- 57:42Homer points out. Then we get John Squawking Bear from Chippewa, the Chippewa
- 57:45chi Bugle, who's never heard of her tribe before. Lisa, Hi,
- 57:51my name is John Squawking Bear. I'm a reporter for the Chippewa Bugle.
- 57:54Happen to have today's you know what I thought? I knew all the last
- 57:58tribes. I've never heard of the attachee Yes, we're among the lastest.
- 58:04Where were you centered? Centered? Centered? You know where the four stage
- 58:09come together? Well? Quite well, not there, not even close.
- 58:13In the name of the Great Turtle, will you answer the question? We
- 58:15were south west of North Dakota, Lahoma. Very good, well, I'd
- 58:25better get to my office before my boss, screaming editor gets mad. I
- 58:30kid, but he's a real jerk. I don't really want the screaming editor
- 58:34gain. He's willing to take the mickey out of it as well. Then
- 58:38Heimer gives Bot his cell phone twenty of these lifts, and he's ring turned
- 58:42his fairly. So yeah, that's been the classical music, Yeah, which
- 58:45was one of the early A lot of people had. This says they're being
- 58:47turned in the early polyphony case. Hello bird, now listen, I need
- 58:53you to go to the gas station, tell them you need to inflate your
- 58:58tires, but actually you inflate these volleyballs then throw them over the wall of
- 59:05the pridgon to create chaos and confusion. Then he calls drunk from Chinatown,
- 59:10not our Chinatown. And then Bart is driving Lisa. Now why is driving
- 59:15Lisa around? I don't know, like what, Yeah, where's margin all
- 59:17this? Why's Marshall the going? You're now designated to true based on thinking
- 59:24about Margaret Mary driving me around for all that times, like oh, I
- 59:27can't understand why my mother would say someone else. And then Homer calls from
- 59:31the trunk some bad people put him in there apparently. What do you think
- 59:35of the putting the phone in the glove box and it's stuck in here?
- 59:37A bit silly? Yeah, I wasn't a fan of all that stuff involving
- 59:40Homer from from the moment home I gave Bart the phone. I was like,
- 59:45everything, but everything Homer is doing here is kind of pissing me off.
- 59:49We was just seeing a bit childish, ye, yeah, yeah,
- 59:52a lot of it was. It was pretty silly. Yeah. I just
- 59:54liked the aspect of the tables being turned. Yeah yeah. But then he
- 1:00:00says he's going to lead this town. We get low Rider playing in the
- 1:00:02background. He's using late at least his baby pictures, I think to properly,
- 1:00:07that's right. Yeah, And he goes through Shelbyville, Ogdenville, then
- 1:00:12finally North Haverbrook. Very name conjures romance and intrigue. And they've got the
- 1:00:16world's largest moon bounce, ultimate fighting zoo. And I've just watched this and
- 1:00:20I'm like, so there are a town of SAPs. I'll sell you the
- 1:00:25greatest moon bounce you've ever seen it, the world's largest any time a zoo
- 1:00:30that's one's got the old one fighting and he goes to my La Bagan's comic
- 1:00:36book shop. If I'm ever in a town and there's a comic book shop
- 1:00:39like this, I have to go in. Oh yeah, because you're guarantee
- 1:00:42to find one thing that it's just like super rare. What just really slucks,
- 1:00:45super cool. He's like, fun, I remember this, you know,
- 1:00:49just and what does he find here? The hippie hole from Sippy Hop
- 1:00:51from sixty eight. Yeah, you know, sort of saying protest slogans and
- 1:00:54ribbon on LBJ and yeah, collectors at them. But then he arrives in
- 1:01:00town center like I've just got here. Feels like the place where Gremlin's and
- 1:01:02back to the Future man. Yeah, And he chats up the ladies with
- 1:01:06some stereo music and Darcy decides to get in. He tells her the spiel
- 1:01:08about he said he has a disease that makes him look like an old man,
- 1:01:12so he's taken medicine for it, but he took too much, so
- 1:01:14she just goes with it. Fifteen is a bit older four for that,
- 1:01:15but whatever, listen, at least they're explaining it true and giving it.
- 1:01:20Like everything here in this episode is given, even if the even if it's
- 1:01:23flimsy, it's still a reef. It's something and we've been askeding for that.
- 1:01:28It's like, just give us something to go along with it. We've
- 1:01:30been asking for it for so long as like we can't not accept it.
- 1:01:35I did like the spin on his catchphrase to unbut Simpson, who the hell
- 1:01:38are you? We've all been that situation where I was like, hey,
- 1:01:39hey, are going near good things? How are you too bad? How
- 1:01:42are you? It's like, oh, I've already else, don't don't respond,
- 1:01:45buttend it never happened. Or have you anyone ever asked you for the
- 1:01:50time and you've said, yeah, good, thanks, because just human nature
- 1:01:52to come out and say yoh yea, I'm good something like that. Yeah,
- 1:01:54there's always just the reflex response that oh, wait a minute, inappropriate,
- 1:02:00or they say anything else. He's like, yeah, you two.
- 1:02:01That's the one that's the response is usually yeah you two to something where it's
- 1:02:07like have a good day, Yeah, anything else you want? Yeah you
- 1:02:12too? Oh I'm not on the menu. I could be. Then we
- 1:02:20get the montage of just them having fun. They've been dinner with a dog
- 1:02:22like a lady in the tramp and having them cause the difference between ketchup and
- 1:02:25catsup, and I'm just like, ah, this is just silly. It
- 1:02:29is We've already had this gag with mister Burns ketchup cats up, which works
- 1:02:31a lot better. What is the difference? I have no idea, I
- 1:02:35mean neither. Let's look it out. Let's look it up. What's cats
- 1:02:37up? What is catsup? Because IM pretty sure we're not ketchup is right.
- 1:02:40Well, it's a nice thing, tomat. I saw that you put
- 1:02:43on your chips, so I typed catsip and then it just takes me to
- 1:02:46ketchup. Okay, maybe there is no difference, and maybe that's the joke.
- 1:02:51What is the difference between catsup and ketchup? You can actually call the
- 1:02:52substance by either name, as there's no difference between ketchup and cats up.
- 1:02:55They're just two different terms for the same thing. Ketchup has been around a
- 1:02:59long time. The name probably comes from key chiap or some something written whatever,
- 1:03:05which was pickled fish sauce popular in China. So ketchup and catsup are
- 1:03:07exactly the same. Okay, so you say tomato, I say tomato.
- 1:03:10But that that mister Burns scene is far funny though, it is. But
- 1:03:14so he's having a great time here with Darcy. They're getting along like your
- 1:03:15house on fire. They go driving to see a horror movie. There's nothing
- 1:03:19better to see to driving with the chicken in the horror movie, right,
- 1:03:21very true. They hold hands, they embrace, and she realizes that she
- 1:03:25really likes him. She gives a kiss, and as the guys getting murdered
- 1:03:30in the background, they're given a big speech again. So yeah, nice
- 1:03:31little play there. Then we get the kiss in the car with Millhouse looking
- 1:03:35on the little thingy whatever they called hang you thingy can hang like a what
- 1:03:39is an air press? Smell eaching? Yeah, a calm smelly thing or
- 1:03:43even a smelly thing. But let's get married. What why not? We've
- 1:03:51made out. It's not right to make out with somebody if you have no
- 1:03:53intention of marrying them. I mean, you're not a jerk. RT No,
- 1:03:58I'm not. But then it's settled. Oh man, I must be
- 1:04:02the first guy who was ever pressured into marriage. So they go to get
- 1:04:06married at the where were they when he made the courthouse? When they yes,
- 1:04:11and Bart comes clean. He can't go through it kind of like what
- 1:04:13least it's about to do? As well, so he comes clean. I
- 1:04:15guess the story of this is lying, Yeah, getting caught out and lies
- 1:04:19revealing your true identity. Yeah, that lies sort of kind of a George
- 1:04:24castandraresqu where he just lets the lie go and go and go to the point,
- 1:04:26which is all unravels for him. But here comes clean. She says,
- 1:04:29you know, she hasn't been honest with him either. She's pregnant and
- 1:04:31just disappears. I just thought that's clarious. We're now at the courthouse still
- 1:04:35and Bart says, you know my the father. She says, no,
- 1:04:39no, but Bobby kissing he has. At the same time, nowhere even
- 1:04:43closed on that. I'm tan and stupid. I thought it was a good
- 1:04:46line as well. But she explains that a Norwegian exchange student is the father
- 1:04:50of the kid. I'm just like, wow, fast on the Nordic lands.
- 1:04:56Yeah, he's pitched off, pissed off back to Norwegia. He has.
- 1:04:59Yes, Look, if I'm not the father, then who is a
- 1:05:01Norwegian exchange student. He's long gone back to Norwegia. I wanted you to
- 1:05:08marry me so my baby would have a dad. I'm very religious that way.
- 1:05:12How religious can you believe you're pregnant. Good answer, that she's worried
- 1:05:15about what her parents might think. And this is where the worker says,
- 1:05:18I probably shouldn't say this, but in Utah the marriage laws are a little
- 1:05:21more lenient and you probably could get married in Utah. Is that true?
- 1:05:25I don't think so. I'm going to google Utah marriage laws. Let's see
- 1:05:28what comes up. It's probably changed now utaj Utah marriage laws because there are
- 1:05:32some places in America where cousins can get married. You watch Judge Judy and
- 1:05:36cousins are like in a relationship. Must be at least sixteen years old to
- 1:05:41be married in Utah. If you are eighteen or older, you do not
- 1:05:43need concent of a parent or guardian. If you are sixteen or seventeen,
- 1:05:45unique psych consent from a parent, so you can get married at sixteen.
- 1:05:47Okay, what are the benefits of getting married in Utah? Do you want
- 1:05:51to know this? Please tell me. Legally married couples enjoy a variety of
- 1:05:55benefits, including tax breaks, inheritance and survivor rights, spousal society social security
- 1:06:00benefits, and spousal privileged rights. Either party in an unmarried couple competition the
- 1:06:03court for recognition, and often this occurs at the end of the relationship Utah.
- 1:06:08Here I come half the heavy shit. Would you leave your asking and
- 1:06:15we'll leave with half. But basically they decide they're going to go to Utah
- 1:06:21and they've happily ever after. He has that vision of him, just like
- 1:06:25an extreme husband, an extreme father. Then we go to Capital City and
- 1:06:30she's now gone to the next conference. It's a national tribal conference. Lisa
- 1:06:32spills more bullshit here, but then she eventually comes clean, just like bar
- 1:06:35just did. The people of my tribe lived in harmony with the land,
- 1:06:41eating mark buffalo steaks made from peaceful turnip roots, haly, environment, dignity,
- 1:06:54corn god. Oh, I'm sorry. I can't do this. I
- 1:06:58made it all up. There is no hit. Daddy dried. I get
- 1:07:00the name from my microwife. Surely you can forgive a little girl who wait
- 1:07:09wait, Although she is not one of our people, this young lady has
- 1:07:12shown the courage we Native Americans cherish, and who can blame her for wanting
- 1:07:16to be one of us? We have a noble heritage and cheek bones to
- 1:07:19die for. I'm not Native American either, I just ski a lot.
- 1:07:26I'm Japanese. Well, I'm an Aborigine. I'm too bidgets to the castle?
- 1:07:32What not you fibbing bear? The bottom guy look like Johnny todt lips?
- 1:07:38Did you notice that I didn't? Not? You too? Fibbing Ben
- 1:07:42and Homer says that his great great grandmother was an Indian. Probably should have
- 1:07:45told you that. Then Darcy needs some strawberries right now. And I was
- 1:07:47like, oh, I have been there. Did did Nick have cravings?
- 1:07:54Yeah? What was it? She cravings like not weird. She just like
- 1:07:57chocolate. And it's just like if she but I she needs it now.
- 1:08:01It's like, there's only one time she wroke me up and she was like,
- 1:08:03do you want to get me some like go to the shop and not
- 1:08:05get me some ice cream? And I was like, oh, it's two
- 1:08:08thirty No, She's like go. I was like, yes, ma'am.
- 1:08:14That wasn't a question when we go into like the service station to buy ice
- 1:08:20cream like two thirty in the morning, because she just needed ice cream.
- 1:08:23Okay, never questioned the pregnant woman. Just do whatever, mate. I'm
- 1:08:26guarantee you her jobs a lot harder than what you're doing. Oh yeah,
- 1:08:30she's growing a human in her body. Yeah. But then Marge finds a
- 1:08:35note from Bart and I was like, wait a minute. So he drove
- 1:08:38all the way back to Springfield. Let's the note? How that happened?
- 1:08:42And then like where her parents from North Favor book? How did they know
- 1:08:45who Bart wasn't the address because she didn't know who Bart really was? So
- 1:08:48how does she know? Like I thought I'd rather a bit in the end
- 1:08:51here, yeah, this sort of I was like, ah, this is
- 1:08:54getting a bit. So you were doing so well? Yeah, you know,
- 1:08:57you gave us a few flimsy reasons for why things were Okay, we
- 1:09:01can trace where the kids are by the charges they made on your card in
- 1:09:05Colorado. They charged two hundred dollars worth of bubble gum. Actually that was
- 1:09:11me dingles berries in Provo, Utah. Why would I go to Utah?
- 1:09:16I love booze, caffeine and monogamy. Then that must be it. Our
- 1:09:23daughter says, she's run off with your son. Did you mention she was
- 1:09:26knocked up? No? Sorry for the spoiler, but is now only it's
- 1:09:30gonna be marrying Dasi right now at the marriage center. Whatever it is in
- 1:09:32Utah and Gage I yes, edgy, Yeah, I'm marrying only white person.
- 1:09:39What are you gay? But still needs Madge says you can't do it.
- 1:09:43You said need to check for the monsters. Well I found someone else
- 1:09:45to do it. He's gonna do my third job. And also to Natalie
- 1:09:50Portman, she was just great. I love her delivery of left the Batman.
- 1:09:54That's right, She's just like cool. I'm surprised it how natural that
- 1:09:59line reading walls silly it gets Yeah, I mean that's a pretty hard degree
- 1:10:02difficultly to pull that one off. But yeah, I mean it's sort of
- 1:10:05seeming very natural. Yeah, Dad laughed about man and turns out home I'm
- 1:10:09pregnant as well, and they get to lie about that. The neighbors about
- 1:10:12then being twins Button diceon say goodbye is not a very great ending to their
- 1:10:16story. I don't think it's kind of slapped together. But we're now Bot's
- 1:10:19in bed. You know, I thought Darcy and I would be like a
- 1:10:26real married couple. Instead we just ended up fighting all the time. Yeah,
- 1:10:30how about it. You know, for a while, I was kind
- 1:10:34of looking forward to being a dad son one day. You're going to be
- 1:10:40a great further and someday you'll be one too. Thanks boy, Hey for
- 1:10:47old time sake, you want to drive me around when I sing public domain
- 1:10:51songs out the window? You got it? Drink Drink Star, I wonder
- 1:10:59what you are. But overall, like I mean, this was nowhere near
- 1:11:09what Elliot Jay or near Tom it was going to be. I wouldn't go
- 1:11:11so far as say the worst of the worst, but I look, there
- 1:11:16were there were certainly times when I found my attention. Like if you watched
- 1:11:20last week's episode Revenge of the Dish Best Served, what that turned out to
- 1:11:23be? Three of them? It's like three short stories, like those those
- 1:11:26ones where it's just like you know, the wettes stories ever told, but
- 1:11:28it's all about revenge. Okay, looks like I looked like I picked the
- 1:11:34wrong time to go the right time to go overseas. Except two of them
- 1:11:38are actually could have been like Halloween stories. It was kind of weird.
- 1:11:40One it actually wasn't too bad Revenge of the Dish best said, But this
- 1:11:43one here, I mean, I enjoyed it for the most part. Bit
- 1:11:45of silliness at least, a story kind of hard to buy into, but
- 1:11:47I enjoyed. Natalie Portman I think her performance sort of like overrode all the
- 1:11:51negatives. I would agree with you on that point one percent. What do
- 1:11:56we learn, Palmer? What did you learn from the episode, mister Davis
- 1:11:59that when it comes to ketchup and cats up zero difference? I learned the
- 1:12:02key to a woman's heart is stereo music, not strawberries. Forward, your
- 1:12:09names will be all right. It's time for the Guy Davis New Name Championship
- 1:12:13here for season eighteen. Now, are we going to start with the new
- 1:12:16names for the episode that we've been talking about or the new names for the
- 1:12:19episode that I did not talk about? I believe we're going to be talking
- 1:12:23about the ones from last week? So let's do new names for revenges A
- 1:12:27dish best served three times? Let's do that. Indeed, so the current
- 1:12:30leader board as of before last week stay down confuter stands at this In first
- 1:12:34position, we have Luke McKay on eleven points, In second position we have
- 1:12:39Kyl muldoon and Philip J. Hawks on ten, and in third position we
- 1:12:42have Justin Williams on six. Take it away with Davis? Right? Oh
- 1:12:45well, new names for revenges A dish best served three times? One point
- 1:12:49goes to the Revengers perfect Yeah it fits yep, Kyl muldoon. Oh,
- 1:12:57that puts him equal first to Luke McKay on eleven points, but two points
- 1:13:01go to then Giant's diagram. Not bad. That is Adam Worehouse for his
- 1:13:09first points of this season so far. Two points are Adam Wolhouse Bully Bully
- 1:13:12well Don Animalhouse, but three points go to Avenged Threefold, well played Heath
- 1:13:18Appleby. That is three points for Heath, which puts him now so he's
- 1:13:23now in third position on six points. Because what's happened is Kyl muldoon McKain
- 1:13:26now equal first on eleven Philip J. Hawkins is in second position on ten
- 1:13:30points, and Heath Appleby and Justin Williams are now equal third on six points.
- 1:13:33Oh, I do like those Applebee's. Having said that, I don't
- 1:13:36think I've ever heard an Avenged Sevenfold song neither. No, I can imagine
- 1:13:42what it probably sounds like, though, I Yeah, I think I like
- 1:13:45my chemical romance mixed with like a bit more metal. Yeah, I don't
- 1:13:48know to be quite as hard as say, drowning pool. Drowning pool,
- 1:13:53let the body say, look at the body did you see, I've got
- 1:14:00a meme of Homer say baby on board, but it's like, let the
- 1:14:03bodies hit the floor, Let the body hit the floor, Let the body
- 1:14:06hit the floor, sting by itself. Oh dear, I just love when
- 1:14:15the body hit the floor. Nothing's wrong with me? Wrong with me?
- 1:14:23All? Are these guys shut up? I know because it was like the
- 1:14:30theme music for in the wrestling for a while when E c W was a
- 1:14:32wrestling brand. They came into w W E and that was like there they
- 1:14:35were like the hardcore guys, and that was like their theme. I mainly
- 1:14:39knew it because it played on the trailers for both Rambo Yes that's right and
- 1:14:44Jason X Jason. That's the one I know from Jason next Yeah trailer.
- 1:14:50It's a pretty good song, like for what it's meant to be. Absolutely
- 1:14:57oh boy. Oh I'm gonna have to go home and play that. Okay,
- 1:15:00well, look we've just read out the current state of the leaderboard.
- 1:15:03But don't get too comfortable in your positions people, because we're about to do
- 1:15:08new names for a little big girl. M M all right, So take
- 1:15:11it away, all right. One point goes too where the bart is Oh
- 1:15:16he's gone bang bang Adam Wirehouse with one point. So in Amazon three world
- 1:15:18done Adam woolla, Yeah, nice one, a little bit of I put
- 1:15:23my nerd hand on just quickly. Why did I choose this one? And
- 1:15:26why is it relevant to this episode because back in it might have been Actually
- 1:15:30the year two thousand, Natalie Portman, guestar on this episode, appeared in
- 1:15:33a film called Where the Heart Is, in which he played a pregnant teenager.
- 1:15:39Well funny, that isn't it. Who saw that coming? Wow?
- 1:15:42Those guys at the Simpsons writing room, they think of everything. But it
- 1:15:45then follows five years in the life of Novalle Nation, a pregnant seventeen year
- 1:15:48old who was abandoned by her boyfriend Adam Walmut in a small Oklahoma town eager
- 1:15:53released in the year two thousand. Well make it up to you in the
- 1:15:57year two thousand. Okay, but two points goes too folk Hontas, I
- 1:16:02like that. So that's that fo is like fake as in fake? Yeah,
- 1:16:04well done. So that's Brian Hughes with two points. That means Brian
- 1:16:11is now on four points? What I Brian? Yeah, he's a good
- 1:16:14one. Sorry. You might be wondering why I'm doing that boys that they
- 1:16:17all know. We've we've hung up. You introduced us all to the the
- 1:16:23smoking meme. Eh, but three points goes to maternity. Oh he's back,
- 1:16:31Philip J. Hawkins. Ah. With the three points, Blane High
- 1:16:35has taken first position away from Luke McKay and Cale ma'll dooon. Oh my
- 1:16:39god. So Philip J. Hawkens now on thirteen points, Clever Kyle and
- 1:16:43Luke McKay both on eleven and second position. Justin Williams here that will be
- 1:16:46still in third on six points. What a race this is turning out to
- 1:16:48be Luke McKay sittingy going asshole. Goddamn man. Well, you've got more
- 1:16:56episodes to make it up. Yeah there is any episode twelve, isn't it
- 1:16:59Episode twelve? Team tend to go. We're only halfway point, yeah,
- 1:17:01and the halfway point indeed. All right, So when we part of the
- 1:17:04Guy Davis New Name Championship, you just need to we need to do.
- 1:17:08I'll be a patron that would help support the show. As they say,
- 1:17:14play stupid games, win stupid brazes. That's exactly all right, all right,
- 1:17:16thanks guys for obvious Let's get into the mail bag mail bag. Would
- 1:17:24you ask for mail bag questions for last week's episode? But since Guy wasn't
- 1:17:27here, what we might do is we'll talk about this for South Park as
- 1:17:30well. We might go back at some point and re review those with Guy.
- 1:17:32Yes, I think we should revenge of the discpecially as well as what
- 1:17:36was it the Red Badger game? Holy shit, man, I'll watching this
- 1:17:40going man. Guy would love this, unlike only J who did not.
- 1:17:45Not that he didn't like it, he didn't like the one was coming up
- 1:17:47there, he didn't like that, the mister Hanks one. But I'm just
- 1:17:49like I'm watching this going guy. I would appreciate this so much more.
- 1:17:53I do respect to earlier Jay. But yes, oh well, we will
- 1:17:56do that somewhere down the line. Absolutely. Do you know anything about the
- 1:17:58Civil War? No? Not as much as I should. Okay, you
- 1:18:00need to hang on. Should I much about this book? I don't think
- 1:18:03we need to. It's not our history. I barely know enough about our
- 1:18:08history, let alone some other nations. But the history they try to tell
- 1:18:11us. Correct, Yes, all right, this one here Andrew JP.
- 1:18:14Of course? How bad us is Natalie Portman? She's stunning, a versatile
- 1:18:17actor and her two Lonely Island songs are just brilliant. That's not a question,
- 1:18:20Andrew this not to make your question. It's a statement, but a
- 1:18:27statement we wholly agree with. Here at fourthing a discount with. We're very
- 1:18:30pro Natalie Portman at this podcast. I mean he follows it up with saying
- 1:18:34she was awesome as lady though too. She's the right mix of beautiful and
- 1:18:36slightly terrifying, which I meant as a compliment, the type of strong willed
- 1:18:40woman you don't want to mess with. One thing I really dug about,
- 1:18:44certainly the First Thaw that she was in. I mean, they're fairly I
- 1:18:47think this is they say there's a lot about the Marvel movies. They're kind
- 1:18:50of, you know, sexless, they're a bit newted. You don't really
- 1:18:54like these a good looking people. They should be getting down. One thing
- 1:18:58you really dig about the First Thaw is it Natalie Portman is looking at Chris
- 1:19:00has like I just want to climb that man. She's looking at him like
- 1:19:03climblack Tree. That is just unbridled lust in her eyes. I'm like,
- 1:19:08yeah, I can buy that, and it's good for you, Natalie Bortman
- 1:19:10for doing so lawis, when do you look at me like that? I
- 1:19:13got your teeth and everything. What money you want? Use my money,
- 1:19:16motherfucker, go back and get some hair. Yeah, justin Wagner, I
- 1:19:23think of Natalie Portman the same way. But James Dando thinks he's tagged me
- 1:19:26off. Of course he thinks of Drew Barrymore. This episode could have been
- 1:19:29at zero, but I still love it because of her. Okay, so
- 1:19:31that the comments is not a question, just as this mail bank is.
- 1:19:36Basically I love Nettie. When I grow up, I'm going to marry her,
- 1:19:42and you'd be right to do so. Yes, I believe she is
- 1:19:46now single. Folks, so they ship recently split with the husband who cheated
- 1:19:49on them with like a twenty six year old ballet dance. I've never understood
- 1:19:53the fact that it's like Shania Twain's husband. She's like, are you fucking
- 1:19:56mad? Should I fucking Twain? You made that's and Jibulick, what are
- 1:20:00you doing? You had Santa Bullick in her prime and the guy that like
- 1:20:04cheat on Santa Bulick. It's like you, Yeah, that guy was a
- 1:20:06dickhead. Why were you with him anyway? Yeah, the motorcycle guy,
- 1:20:10Yeah, Jesse James James, Ah, but I don't watch that Sneid Twain
- 1:20:15doc. And I'm like someone cheated on you. It's been discussed. Your
- 1:20:19name is Mutt Lang. It's been, it's been, it's been decided that
- 1:20:23your face is like the perfect human face. You were married to the perfect
- 1:20:27humans. It's like you never watched the Man. I feel like a woman
- 1:20:30where she's dancing around in the man's shirts, short skirt with the hat,
- 1:20:33never really see her and leopard print so hot, sings like a f one
- 1:20:39of the I mean you're all about the looks. I'm all about the musical
- 1:20:41talent that is correct. I mean looks as well. But it's like it
- 1:20:44was literally scientific provens just like she has the perfect facial structure Twain, but
- 1:20:48like I love Schnei Twain. I grob on her like she was like huge
- 1:20:51when I was growing up, but like like a old like country songs like
- 1:20:55whose bed have your Boots been under? Stuff like that. I'm like fucking
- 1:20:58jam and my kids love it. Now. Holly is always like no Tame,
- 1:21:02tame Alliot's right into a CDC now, As you were saying, yeah,
- 1:21:06what was he lock up your daughter's lock up your wife or whatever,
- 1:21:13start singing. You've got jack big balls, all right, Rachel McLean.
- 1:21:19What would you ask if Geelong owed you for saving the town? Well filling
- 1:21:26them let me run in, let me run onto the field in the half
- 1:21:31cat outfit that KFC kid runs off a half cat. What would you ask
- 1:21:40if Geelong owed you something for saving the town? Anything in Geelong? So
- 1:21:45it's gonna be, I guess Geelong related. I mean, but asked for
- 1:21:46a license which wasn't really Springfield related. No, no, I mean what
- 1:21:50would the key to the city get you in Geelong? I don't know.
- 1:21:54Turn the Christmas tree off and on, maybe sort of like hang on the
- 1:22:00top of the T ANDG building like King Kong. A picture a statue of
- 1:22:05you hanging off like King Kong. Yeah, and every hour. It's like,
- 1:22:14seriously that I would like the to have first access to chiky chickens,
- 1:22:18chicken nuggets and chips whenever I felt like it, A lifetime supply of chiky
- 1:22:24chicken. If I had an open tab at Sam's Cafe that makes the best
- 1:22:27kebabs in town. Yeah, probably yeah. Apparably Big keV or something used
- 1:22:30to have a great caravan like back in the day, like in the seventies,
- 1:22:33like Kev's Hamburgers or something. It is like used to be like a
- 1:22:36carave and it's a parking stuff in like the mal or something. I try
- 1:22:41to bring the mood down a little bit. But there was a great burger
- 1:22:44shop in Geelong called Kerman's Hamburgers. Is it gone? Well? Yeah,
- 1:22:47because there's a really sad story. It had an outlet somewhere else and then
- 1:22:53it opened in Geelong like a few years ago. That was that was near
- 1:22:56the cinema. Yeah now Row Street, Yeah yeah. Uh. Who ran
- 1:23:00it was a guy named Tim and the lovely Luise together after right. Yeah.
- 1:23:05Yeah, I'd go there when I was working Addy Ship because you mentioned,
- 1:23:09yeah, fantastic burger, really really nice, great chips, good joint.
- 1:23:12And the guy who ran it, this guy Tim, was a really
- 1:23:14good dude. I spoke to him a couple of times. Just a really
- 1:23:16low key guy. But he seemed like the kind of guy who had like
- 1:23:18a really rich inner life. I mean, you know, he always wanted
- 1:23:24to open up a hambager store. Yeah yeah, but he had like cool
- 1:23:26he had cool motorcycles. But he Alvio you'd speak to him, and he
- 1:23:29knew stuff about stuff that you wouldn't instead of expect from a guy a man
- 1:23:33in the grill. Yeah, Loot knew him from, you know, when
- 1:23:36she was working this place where she was trying to get kids work, and
- 1:23:40you know, he was always very open to help in the community and all
- 1:23:42that kind of stuff. I saw on their Facebook page a couple of weeks
- 1:23:45ago that he died unexpected. Ah ship. Yeah, and he was only
- 1:23:47like in his in his either late thirties or early forties, was a young
- 1:23:50dude. Yeah. Yeah, we're not exactly sure how it happened. Tim
- 1:23:56Damn, I forgot this is a cammon. No no, no, no,
- 1:23:59no. But but as a result of him passing away, they're closing
- 1:24:02the Geelong outlet out of respect. Oh really, which it's not closed yet.
- 1:24:09No, I think it has closed now, Okay, Yeah, but
- 1:24:12I was always walked past when I was going to the movies of Alliant.
- 1:24:14I'm gonna get a burger from that oney because guy always tells me how good
- 1:24:15they are. Yeah. So yeah, it's a shout out to Tim.
- 1:24:18Shout out to Tim Man. I mean, look, I don't know if
- 1:24:20anyone knew him and listens to the show. But if you if you did,
- 1:24:25if you do, yeah, props to that man. He was.
- 1:24:28He was a good dude, solid guy. Yeah, there we go.
- 1:24:30All right, well we'll do one more question then, Yeah, we'll out
- 1:24:33here. I hopefully we'll bring the mood up slowly. We have actually,
- 1:24:36Holy funck, I scored it. We've got so many questions for this episode.
- 1:24:40Are they all like? So it's gone from a guy's burner accounts?
- 1:24:45David Mott? Have you ever made something up for a homework or an essay?
- 1:24:47I get the feeling I have. I've copy pasted ship like, I've
- 1:24:50like done no research in the sense that I haven't really like I've taken someone
- 1:24:54else's work and just like changed a few words. I've ever made something up
- 1:24:58though for homework. I get the feeling I had, But honestly, I
- 1:25:00can't remember exactly what it was. Does that feeling in my head like I
- 1:25:04got away with it? Yeah, Glenn Gomez, I've said previously I enjoy
- 1:25:10when I have an intro based on the story, eg. Christmas, the
- 1:25:12Christmas one in the Overweight? But what do you think of this one in
- 1:25:15this episode? It's pretty short this one. Yeah, I mean blink and
- 1:25:16you'll miss it. Yeah, but it wasn't too bad fit the story.
- 1:25:19Brian Hughes. Have you ever dated an older woman Nicholas twelve Days? Yeah,
- 1:25:25I have I in date but again yeah, not necessarily date, but
- 1:25:31yep, school teacher no me? Yes? Oh yeah, mal lith life.
- 1:25:42Sorry misponouncing your last name. So what's your least favorite episode that has
- 1:25:45a guest that you like outside that episode. I'm a big Natalie Portman fan,
- 1:25:48but I really disliked this episode. I'd watch a million Codependence Days before
- 1:25:51watching this one. I wouldn't, Yeah, because Code Dependence Day made me
- 1:25:58actually angry, Like that was Homer putting Marge behind the wheel because he was
- 1:26:00drink driving. Correct. Oh gosh, I'm sorry. I'm drawing a blank
- 1:26:04on this one. That's a tough question. So you liked you like the
- 1:26:08performance, but you didn't like this store. You like the Oh no,
- 1:26:11you like the actor, but you don't like the episode the episode that they're
- 1:26:15in. Oh man, no one's blanking. Was there a voice in Million
- 1:26:19Dollar Abe? Because I remember that was the last one I genuinely hated.
- 1:26:23Yeah, I I can't think any Theft of my Head. Harrison McClure,
- 1:26:27What was your first car and do you have any first car stories? My
- 1:26:30first car was given to me. That's one of those things where I was
- 1:26:32just like, it's been given to me, so I have to accept.
- 1:26:34It was a Henda Excel and I was like, you know, when you're
- 1:26:38eighteen, you're you're full of testosterone, and no, all your mates are
- 1:26:41getting all these cars and then we're giving you a car that was from a
- 1:26:44relative. And it's like, oh, it's a Hyundai Excel. But it's
- 1:26:47like I didn't pay for it, I guess, but man, I beat
- 1:26:49the shit out of that thing. Oh. My first car was a clapped
- 1:26:56out old Renaut station wagon. It was a very nice shade of sunflower yellow.
- 1:27:00Okay. The van was occasionally rocking Talia and liquez Talia Enriquez. Sorry.
- 1:27:09Do you think Bart would be that innocent and naive as to to know
- 1:27:12how babies are made? Do you think Bart would be that innocent and naive
- 1:27:16as to how babies are made? So he would not? Do you think
- 1:27:19you wouldn't know? Uh? They kind of pick and choose episode episode,
- 1:27:25How what the kids know? They're occasionally very worldly wise and occasionally children.
- 1:27:30So yeah, I think I'm going to go I'm going to go with more
- 1:27:34innocent or naive. Yeah, I mean I think as ten, you'd like
- 1:27:36to think you know everything, you think you've got the world worked out.
