  Speaker 1: I talk about a lot of things. I talk about discipline,

  Speaker 1: I talk about faith, I talk about consistency. I talk

  Speaker 1: about never giving up. I talk about a wide range

  Speaker 1: of things because it's all in line with trying to

  Speaker 1: encourage people. Also, it lines up with me sharing what

  Speaker 1: I've learned over the years. I'm older than most people

  Speaker 1: who listen to this show. Now, a lot of people

  Speaker 1: are way older than me to listen to the show,

  Speaker 1: a lot of them. But I'm in that upper tier

  Speaker 1: and I've learned a lot of things in my life,

  Speaker 1: and today I want to give you the absolute most

  Speaker 1: significant thing. Listen to me. You all in your own way,

  Speaker 1: starting now, if you have not done so, or it

  Speaker 1: needs to be revitalized, or you need to get it started,

  Speaker 1: or you need to just revamp it, you have got

  Speaker 1: to start paying attention to your relationship with God. I

  Speaker 1: don't care what nobody tell you. The central ingredient to

  Speaker 1: happiness or success is your relationship with God, because it

  Speaker 1: can be a very present help at all times, and

  Speaker 1: you really need it in times of trouble, because sometimes, y'all,

  Speaker 1: you just don't have the answer. I can't tell you

  Speaker 1: how many times when I was homeless, I was sitting there, man,

  Speaker 1: and I just put both hands on the steering wheel

  Speaker 1: and will put my head on that stairing wheel and

  Speaker 1: just say, Lord, I just don't know. I don't know

  Speaker 1: what to do. And I'm telling you, I was trying

  Speaker 1: to think of everything. But when I finally realized that

  Speaker 1: me doing it myself wasn't working. When I finally realized

  Speaker 1: that all the teachings of my mother, who had been

  Speaker 1: a Sunday school teacher for forty years, when I realized

  Speaker 1: everything she was trying to tell me about faith and prayer,

  Speaker 1: to praying and talking to God, it didn't instantly change it,

  Speaker 1: but guess what it did. It instantly changed my mindset.

  Speaker 1: I suddenly realized I wasn't by myself. It suddenly dawned

  Speaker 1: on me that now He is really listening to me,

  Speaker 1: and you know what it did. I just felt better.

  Speaker 1: I just felt better because He gave me a calmness

  Speaker 1: and a peace. And then He started strengthening me to

  Speaker 1: give me the strength to endure this test I was under.

  Speaker 1: And then he started giving me some resolution in my mind.

  Speaker 1: He started helping me to understand why it was happening,

  Speaker 1: and I was able to cope with it better. And

  Speaker 1: then one day I looked up and it was over.

  Speaker 1: My dream had gotten true. I had got a call

  Speaker 1: to be on showtime at Depolo, and little did I

  Speaker 1: know that that one call right there would skyrocket everything. Now.

  Speaker 1: It didn't mean that hardships was over, No, it didn't.

  Speaker 1: It didn't mean that I was problem free. It didn't

  Speaker 1: mean that I was. I had hit it now and

  Speaker 1: it wasn't no nothing else to deal with. Now. It

  Speaker 1: because I was that backed up with poverty. They gave

  Speaker 1: me showtime of Apollo, and I didn't have the clothes

  Speaker 1: to go on the Apollo. But then you know what

  Speaker 1: God did. He started providing. He gave me a friend

  Speaker 1: name Barbara Bates in Chicago. He gave me a friend

  Speaker 1: name Jabib that owned the store called Silhouettes in Dallas, Texas.

  Speaker 1: He just started giving me friends man that would let

  Speaker 1: me buy clothes on discount and up front, let me

  Speaker 1: open up an account until I started making money on

  Speaker 1: TV and I could pay these people back. All because

  Speaker 1: I had formed a relationship with God, and he took

  Speaker 1: the what I didn't know and provided me with solutions.

  Speaker 1: I didn't even know what I was gonna wear on

  Speaker 1: TV man, and he started touching people's hearts and making

  Speaker 1: a way. When I finally when I first got on

  Speaker 1: Showtime did Pollo, I wasn't wearing suits. I was wearing

  Speaker 1: a little vest and shirts and stuff. I said, Man,

  Speaker 1: I got to give me some suits. Barbara Bates started

  Speaker 1: designing all my suits for Showtime at the Apollo. That

  Speaker 1: girl man changed my life. Man. Shout out to Barbara
