I had the honor of sitting down with Shelby County Sheriff Floyd Bonner, Jr., the 47th Sheriff of Shelby County.Sheriff Bonner is a true lifelong public servant. He began his law enforcement career in 1980 as a Deputy Sheriff in the Jail Division, following in the footsteps of his father. Over more than 40 years, he rose through the ranks — serving in uniform patrol, as a Detective Lieutenant in Domestic Violence and Sex Crimes.
