- 0:03Speaker 1: There he is most popular man at the winter meetings.
- 0:07Speaker 1: That was funny. Aja, I haven't talked to you since
- 0:09Speaker 1: that whole whirlwind.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it was. It was exhausted, I know that it was.
- 0:14Speaker 3: It's it's a lot of schmoozing and saying hello and
- 0:19Speaker 3: a lot of hanging out and a lot of people
- 0:21Speaker 3: you haven't seen in a while. And then then I
- 0:24Speaker 3: took Scott into the equipment managers vendors stuff, so then
- 0:28Speaker 3: Scott got to meet people from all these companies that
- 0:30Speaker 3: he didn't know existed, like New Era and Adidas and
- 0:35Speaker 3: Nike and all these weird companies and Scott's like, wait,
- 0:38Speaker 3: what do they do for a living?
- 0:40Speaker 2: So, you know, that was that was also fun.
- 0:42Speaker 1: No, there's some random ones crafts where they're like, yeah,
- 0:47Speaker 1: we don't do the batting gloves, but there's like this
- 0:50Speaker 1: little insert that you can put in the batting gloves
- 0:53Speaker 1: and it makes you feel really comfortable at the platt.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I'm just making it up, but you know, like there's
- 0:57Speaker 1: some really in depth equipped men out there to look
- 1:01Speaker 1: out for, or maybe not look out.
- 1:03Speaker 2: For, Scotty. If Scotty played, he would have been in
- 1:06Speaker 2: no batting gloves guy. No shin guard guy. He would
- 1:10Speaker 2: have just gone out with some bobo all American cleats
- 1:14Speaker 2: and just stood up there and been like, coach, I'm
- 1:17Speaker 2: here to do whatever you need me to do.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Happy go Moore right to the chest.
- 1:26Speaker 2: But he would have been in the minor leagues. He
- 1:27Speaker 2: would have been in the minor leagues with a big
- 1:30Speaker 2: league tattoo just below his neck like he would have been.
- 1:34Speaker 2: He would have been that guy like a big league
- 1:36Speaker 2: the big league symbol, the major League Baseball symbol, this
- 1:39Speaker 2: one right here, and he would have That's what he
- 1:42Speaker 2: would have done. But you were exhausted because forty one
- 1:45Speaker 2: times during our shows at the Winter Meetings, the two
- 1:49Speaker 2: of you said hi or waived while we were on
- 1:53Speaker 2: camera at somebody else, I had a full final tally heroes.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Forty one times. It shows you, I guess you're exhausted.
- 2:00Speaker 2: You guys were exhausted only forty one.
- 2:03Speaker 3: I would have thought it was way more than forty
- 2:05Speaker 3: one times, Scotty coming way more.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It was way more, felt like, way more than forty
- 2:11Speaker 2: one times.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It felt me think about it, a forty one times
- 2:14Speaker 1: that our show gets interrupted in a three day span,
- 2:17Speaker 1: that's a lot. That's like ten times per shows, it.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Still felt like way more than that.
- 2:25Speaker 1: It's still the amount of times people came up to
- 2:27Speaker 1: us and just wanted to start talking.
- 2:29Speaker 2: There was one.
- 2:29Speaker 1: The best one was like a fan who's just coming
- 2:32Speaker 1: full force to aj for autograph and photo, like just
- 2:36Speaker 1: b lining right to the set. And then after that
- 2:39Speaker 1: we had to get our our tallest intern to step
- 2:42Speaker 1: in the way of people like that, because you know,
- 2:46Speaker 1: it's like a fan running on the field. It was
- 2:48Speaker 1: starting to get dicey. And that's all I'm gonna say
- 2:53Speaker 1: about that one. The bar scene last thing to you.
- 2:56Speaker 1: The bar scene was really fun because the lobby bar
- 2:59Speaker 1: can a ton of people, right, it's not really a
- 3:02Speaker 1: capacity kind of situation, and it was packed beyond belief.
- 3:07Speaker 1: I didn't do Monday, thankfully, because I would have been
- 3:10Speaker 1: a problem by Wednesday. But Tuesday I closed the place
- 3:14Speaker 1: out and who it was packed. It was really fun.
- 3:17Speaker 1: I'm not going to name the person, but someone came
- 3:19Speaker 1: up to me and said it was a pretty prominent
- 3:23Speaker 1: person and he said that he would be a very
- 3:26Speaker 1: frequent guest on our show if I stayed out later
- 3:29Speaker 1: than him. I was like, he doesn't know me.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Like that lost you lost that bet. Me you lost, Yeah,
- 3:37Speaker 2: you lost that bet.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I closed the place that I left two three hours
- 3:41Speaker 1: before me. I told you that story, I said, I said,
- 3:44Speaker 1: you don't. I'm going to save you on this one.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Don't don't place the bet.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I said, I know who this person was. I was
- 3:52Speaker 2: there with them. I was there with them that night too.
- 3:54Speaker 1: The night before, right, or did that night?
- 3:56Speaker 2: You were there with them that night? Yeah? I was
- 3:58Speaker 2: there with them. Now, well, it was great.
- 4:03Speaker 3: There was more managers in the UH in the bar
- 4:08Speaker 3: than I remember, and not as many front office see people.
- 4:13Speaker 3: There were a couple, but the equipment guys came down
- 4:16Speaker 3: on Tuesday night.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Tuesday night, right, it's cratch. You'll love this one.
- 4:20Speaker 3: So I'm standing there and I'm talking to I don't
- 4:23Speaker 3: know who I was talking to. And guy comes up
- 4:27Speaker 3: to me and goes, hey, what's up. And I'm like, hey,
- 4:28Speaker 3: how are you? And he goes, you don't know who
- 4:30Speaker 3: I am?
- 4:30Speaker 2: Do you? And I said, I know who you are.
- 4:36Speaker 2: Hold on, give me a second. You worked for.
- 4:40Speaker 3: And I and I go you work for Oakland And
- 4:44Speaker 3: I was like, no, wait, that's wrong. You're Milwaukee, You're Schwarger,
- 4:48Speaker 3: Schweger Schweeger, schwipper, slapper slams, and you're the quibent guy
- 4:52Speaker 3: for the brewers, and.
- 4:54Speaker 2: He just started he busted out laughing. He's like, I
- 4:56Speaker 2: knew it.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I knew it. You would get it eventually. And he's like,
- 4:59Speaker 3: you asked me for your's equipment for your son.
- 5:01Speaker 2: You don't even know what I look like. And I
- 5:03Speaker 2: was like, that's not true. Crats made me do it.
- 5:07Speaker 2: That's fine. I'm fine if you throw me under the bus.
- 5:10Speaker 2: But Shogar Sagar is brutal, clubhouse haircut, brutal, and you're
- 5:16Speaker 2: you're much better with names. I would have sucked there.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I've been like, hey, you, how is everything going? And
- 5:25Speaker 2: I'd hope for someone else to come up, and I'd
- 5:27Speaker 2: be like, hey, this is my friend Aj. If you
- 5:29Speaker 2: ever met Aj Prazinski, and then they would introduce themselves
- 5:32Speaker 2: to you, and then I'd be like, oh, yeah, I
- 5:34Speaker 2: remember now.
- 5:35Speaker 3: That's pretty much. That's pretty much why I had Scott
- 5:37Speaker 3: by my side for a couple of minutes. But then
- 5:40Speaker 3: you run into people like, you know, Johnny Gomes, who's
- 5:42Speaker 3: now is an agent, and you're like, wait, what you're what?
- 5:46Speaker 2: Yeah exactly?
- 5:48Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, uh you just there's like just people
- 5:52Speaker 3: sitting in this area that are doing just there to
- 5:56Speaker 3: be seen by people. And then you had like the
- 5:58Speaker 3: whole MLB network of the bar, which you know, was
- 6:01Speaker 3: cool to see a lot of those guys Harold and
- 6:04Speaker 3: Matty Vee and those guys who I haven't seen. You
- 6:05Speaker 3: don't see that much. And am Singer with his perfect
- 6:08Speaker 3: hair that makes God jealous. You know, things like that,
- 6:12Speaker 3: and then you and then you you know, then you
- 6:13Speaker 3: see agents, and you see equipment reps, and you see
- 6:18Speaker 3: the equipment guys, and you see the traveling secretaries and
- 6:21Speaker 3: you see everything.
- 6:22Speaker 2: It's just it's amazing.
- 6:23Speaker 3: You see hotel reps that when you used to stay
- 6:25Speaker 3: at their hotel, they hook you up with sweets if
- 6:26Speaker 3: you were nice to them.
- 6:27Speaker 2: I mean, it's it's a total schmooze fest.
- 6:31Speaker 1: I did a full on debate at like three am
- 6:33Speaker 1: with Greg about a bunch of league topics. It was great.
- 6:36Speaker 1: It was like a show. If you could just put
- 6:38Speaker 1: that on, I mean I could. He can't. I know,
- 6:41Speaker 1: I worked there. You can't say those things.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Favorite people my favorite people to see at those things.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I went to the Winter meetings for one half a day.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I flew in and flew out when it was last year.
- 6:51Speaker 2: I love seeing the trainers because I went to the
- 6:53Speaker 2: trainers portion of it because I helped the guy pedal
- 6:57Speaker 2: a thumbguard that is, you know, revolutionizing the game. I
- 7:01Speaker 2: love seeing the trainers and I love seeing the equipment guys.
- 7:03Speaker 2: I really like all the other guys. It's cool to
- 7:05Speaker 2: see like guys I played with, guys that played against
- 7:08Speaker 2: that are fun to hang out with. But I love
- 7:10Speaker 2: seeing those behind the scenes people because it's kind of
- 7:12Speaker 2: an opportunity for them to kind of let their hair
- 7:15Speaker 2: out and like they're they're they're not they're not technically working.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Even though they're there for their job, They're not technically working.
- 7:22Speaker 2: It's fun. It's fun to hang out with those guys.
- 7:24Speaker 2: For sure.
- 7:27Speaker 1: We decided as a network going we're gonna go back
- 7:29Speaker 1: every time we can go. Now, next year we won't
- 7:31Speaker 1: be back because there will be a lockout and it
- 7:33Speaker 1: happens right before. So again, that doesn't mean you miss games,
- 7:36Speaker 1: but you're definitely not having the winter meetings. Just throwing
- 7:38Speaker 1: that out there. All right, we got breaking news and
- 7:40Speaker 1: a ton of things to hit. Let's start. The Philadelphia
- 7:46Speaker 1: Phillies have found their missing outfielder and his name is
- 7:50Speaker 1: Adolis Garcia ALCSMVP from twenty twenty three and has had
- 7:55Speaker 1: two down years since. But maybe the Phillies find a
- 7:58Speaker 1: little magic here. Krats, What do you think of the move?
- 8:01Speaker 1: They definitely wanted to do some things with their outfield.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Max Kepler gone, Nick Castianis eventually will be gone. A Dolice.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Garcia is not the same bat anymore. He's not getting
- 8:11Speaker 1: on base or even slugging like he used to anywhere
- 8:14Speaker 1: near what he used to do, right. I mean, it's
- 8:16Speaker 1: about near league average with the bat overall in terms
- 8:19Speaker 1: of offense, but that's not what he used to be.
- 8:21Speaker 1: And he does still have a cannon for an arm
- 8:23Speaker 1: and a pretty strong glove range wise, do you think
- 8:26Speaker 1: this is going to help the Phillies more so than
- 8:29Speaker 1: what they had this past season?
- 8:31Speaker 2: I mean, I think he's the Max Kepler twenty twenty six.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Obviously he's right handed. Obviously he's had better seasons than
- 8:40Speaker 2: Max Kepler. But when you talk about like his own
- 8:42Speaker 2: base percentage wasn't the same percentage wise, it was about
- 8:46Speaker 2: the same. Like when his batting average goes up, his
- 8:49Speaker 2: own base percentage goes up At the same time, I
- 8:51Speaker 2: think you sit there and you go, what is the
- 8:54Speaker 2: reason that they signed him? Well, the reason is they're
- 8:56Speaker 2: probably not making a huge splash in the outfield market,
- 9:01Speaker 2: and I think of the not huge splashes, this is
- 9:05Speaker 2: probably the best available. And we always talk about teams
- 9:07Speaker 2: like the Rays, Like when the Rays go and get
- 9:09Speaker 2: a picture, you're like, whoa, you know what is what
- 9:11Speaker 2: are they gonna unlock? Anytime Kevin Long is your hitting coach.
- 9:16Speaker 2: If a Dooley Scarcia is willing to listen, I have
- 9:19Speaker 2: never seen anybody go and hit with Kevin Long for
- 9:22Speaker 2: an entire season and say, man, he got worse with
- 9:27Speaker 2: k Long. You know, you see what k Long has
- 9:29Speaker 2: done with other guys that are willing to make changes
- 9:32Speaker 2: and willing to work. So maybe I'm a little bit
- 9:36Speaker 2: It's more of a blip in the radar for me.
- 9:38Speaker 2: But don't expect him to hit forty home runs, Like
- 9:41Speaker 2: I just don't see that coming into it. But if
- 9:44Speaker 2: he can get back to the twenty five to thirty range,
- 9:47Speaker 2: to me, that is a massive, massive pickup for the
- 9:51Speaker 2: Phillies because he's just he's not gonna be an on
- 9:53Speaker 2: base guy. He's gonna be high strikeouts compared to the
- 9:55Speaker 2: amount of walks that he gets.
- 10:00Speaker 1: For all the parents out there with teenagers like crats,
- 10:02Speaker 1: we know life's a little crazy.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Cash Apps here to not add to the craziness.

- 11:02Speaker 2: Can he hit a fastball again? Can you figure out
- 11:03Speaker 2: how to hit a fastball again? Figure it out?
- 11:06Speaker 3: That's where he went away. Did they stop throwing fastballs
- 11:09Speaker 3: in the NL East? Because if they didn't, he has
- 11:11Speaker 3: struggled for two years since that, since twenty twenty three
- 11:15Speaker 3: when they won a World Series of hitting fastballs and
- 11:17Speaker 3: high fastballs, and that's kind of the new thing, and
- 11:19Speaker 3: teams figured it out, and once they got him locked
- 11:22Speaker 3: in on those high fastballs, then they were throwing the
- 11:23Speaker 3: breaking balls and he would expand. So, yeah, I love
- 11:27Speaker 3: k Long and what he's been able to do. But
- 11:28Speaker 3: at Dolic's Garcia is how old is he? How old
- 11:30Speaker 3: do you guys say he was thirty three? He's getting
- 11:34Speaker 3: up there, right, because according to most front offices, twenty
- 11:38Speaker 3: eight you're like too old to play anymore. So at
- 11:40Speaker 3: thirty three, jeez, he can't figure it out.
- 11:42Speaker 2: You know, he can.
- 11:43Speaker 3: It's just he's going to take some work. He's gonna
- 11:44Speaker 3: have to make some swing adjustments. And this guy's an athlete.
- 11:48Speaker 3: This guy's jacked. But I don't know, unless he figures
- 11:51Speaker 3: out how to hit the high four seam fastball, I
- 11:53Speaker 3: don't know.
- 11:54Speaker 2: I don't know what's what they're going to be able
- 11:55Speaker 2: to get out of him. I also think it could
- 11:59Speaker 2: help him because he's going to be more of like
- 12:02Speaker 2: if he's hot, a fifth or six hitter, if he
- 12:06Speaker 2: gets hot with the Rangers. As soon as you get
- 12:09Speaker 2: hot for a week, the Rangers are gonna be like
- 12:11Speaker 2: here he is, here, he is twenty twenty three a Dolies.
- 12:14Speaker 2: You know ALCS MVP adules like this is we got
- 12:17Speaker 2: to move him back into three four hole or or
- 12:20Speaker 2: seekers out of the lineup. Oh, we got to put him.
- 12:23Speaker 2: You know, he's up there, he's he's our guy now.
- 12:25Speaker 2: I don't think he'll ever be no matter how hot
- 12:27Speaker 2: he becomes in this lineup, in the Phillies lineup, I
- 12:30Speaker 2: don't think he'll ever be more than a fifth or
- 12:32Speaker 2: six hitter. Which again, if you get twenty five to
- 12:35Speaker 2: thirty home runs on a team that was starving for
- 12:38Speaker 2: home runs, it would be a massive, massive upgrade for
- 12:42Speaker 2: the Phillies. I just I wouldn't hold my breath if
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're a Phillies fan, because when you're expecting a successful
- 12:50Speaker 2: season to be two fifty three hundred on base percentage
- 12:54Speaker 2: and twenty five home runs, don't expect the twenty twenty
- 12:59Speaker 2: three adulties. Just don't even even though he's in a
- 13:01Speaker 2: platform year, and you know, some crazy things happen in
- 13:04Speaker 2: platform years. I just wouldn't put the level of expectation
- 13:09Speaker 2: too high upgrade.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Also, keep in mind Justin Crawford should get his chance
- 13:16Speaker 1: this year. I know it's a prospect, so you got
- 13:17Speaker 1: to see what it looks like. That's Carl's son, but
- 13:20Speaker 1: he's a pretty highly regarded prospect for Philly. So maybe
- 13:25Speaker 1: Justin's out there, Dolice is out there. It looks very
- 13:27Speaker 1: different in the outfield for the Phillies this coming season.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Yes, it's an upgrade because it's a right handed bat,
- 13:35Speaker 2: and I think they had some they had some issues
- 13:39Speaker 2: making sure that they killed lefties. I'm not saying that
- 13:42Speaker 2: Dolees is a platoon, but Justin Crawford is lefty. You
- 13:47Speaker 2: already have Brandon marsh he's lefty. Is he an upgrade
- 13:50Speaker 2: over what Harrison Bader gave them at the end of
- 13:53Speaker 2: the season. No Philly fans want Harrison Bader. I just wouldn't.
- 13:58Speaker 2: I don't think the Phillies are going to dip into
- 13:59Speaker 2: that water on his platform year, So I don't think
- 14:02Speaker 2: they're bringing him back. Is he an upgrade over Kepler?
- 14:06Speaker 2: I think you'll get a little bit more juice and
- 14:08Speaker 2: a little bit less on base percentage. So how to
- 14:12Speaker 2: say it's an upgrade? I don't know. I mean, I
- 14:14Speaker 2: think a Doles will play a better He'll definitely play
- 14:18Speaker 2: a better right field than Costiano's. But you can't have
- 14:21Speaker 2: a Doles taking time away from Justin Crawford if Justin
- 14:25Speaker 2: Crawford hits the ground running for him.
- 14:30Speaker 1: So what's the ideal layout here?
- 14:36Speaker 3: Marsh jesus, I don't know. Dole's has to play right,
- 14:41Speaker 3: Castianos has to be gone.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I don't know. I still think they need another outfielder.
- 14:48Speaker 2: I think I think I think with Crawford, I think
- 14:50Speaker 2: Crawford plays center. I think Marsh plays left. I think
- 14:53Speaker 2: Crawford breaks with the team. You think Crawford breaks opening
- 14:57Speaker 2: day with the team. Wow, Okay, from what I've From
- 14:59Speaker 2: what I've heard, even Jim Jim Salisbury said it, But
- 15:03Speaker 2: I've heard it from pretty reliable sources. It's his job
- 15:06Speaker 2: to lose now. Is he going to be the everyday
- 15:10Speaker 2: center fielder? I don't know. I don't know if they'll
- 15:12Speaker 2: they'll you know, throw him in left and have Marsh
- 15:16Speaker 2: say okay. You know, Marsh was a good center fielder
- 15:18Speaker 2: before they started getting Bader, before they did the Johann
- 15:21Speaker 2: Rojas experiment. But I think their ideal, if it would
- 15:25Speaker 2: work out, would be Brandon marshan left a Dooley's Garcia
- 15:30Speaker 2: and right, and Justin Crawford in center. And I think
- 15:33Speaker 2: it will. You know, I think that could kind of
- 15:35Speaker 2: change based on you know, what you do a Wes
- 15:37Speaker 2: Wilson in left when they face a lefty, because they've
- 15:41Speaker 2: been just they will not let Brandon marsh face a
- 15:45Speaker 2: lefty and I don't and I don't think anything changes
- 15:48Speaker 2: in that sense starting the year.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I know this is not young or old for rookie terms,
- 15:53Speaker 1: but Justin Crawford's going to turn twenty two years old
- 15:58Speaker 1: in January, so this will be his age twenty two
- 16:00Speaker 1: season coming up. It's time, Yeah, it's time. We were
- 16:03Speaker 1: going to talk to Jim Boden later, but he has
- 16:06Speaker 1: commented on other shows of his like, hey, Philly's a
- 16:09Speaker 1: little bit conservative compared to most teams with their prospects.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They like to let him marinate and that's fine, and
- 16:15Speaker 1: they also don't have as many spots open. But his
- 16:17Speaker 1: point was, what yours is. It's time. Let's go, let's
- 16:21Speaker 1: see what this looks like. Right, okay, but let's try
- 16:26Speaker 1: this out in the big leagues.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Everything's there. Trying it out in the big leagues. To
- 16:30Speaker 2: me is Justin Crawford. He has the talent to make adjustments,
- 16:35Speaker 2: and he's going to be a guy that has to
- 16:36Speaker 2: make the adjustments in the big leagues. You can say, Justin,
- 16:39Speaker 2: we need you to elevate the ball more. That's that's
- 16:41Speaker 2: the biggest knock against him. Elevating the ball and triple
- 16:45Speaker 2: A against dudes who are not very close to the
- 16:48Speaker 2: caliber of what you're going to face in the big
- 16:51Speaker 2: leagues could give you some false some false positives like
- 16:55Speaker 2: whoa fifteen home runs in a full triple A season.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I don't know. I mean, I'd rather see him at
- 17:01Speaker 2: twelve home runs in the big leagues and learn around
- 17:04Speaker 2: a lot of big leagu vets because he's not going
- 17:06Speaker 2: to be put in a situation where he has to
- 17:08Speaker 2: be the man right out the gate.
- 17:11Speaker 1: What else do we want for Philly? Anything on the
- 17:14Speaker 1: wish list?
- 17:20Speaker 2: They need a catcher and a reliever. They don't have JT.
- 17:25Speaker 3: They gonna run a Marshan out there every day. I mean,
- 17:27Speaker 3: that's kind of where you're at. So they're gonna have
- 17:29Speaker 3: to go get somebody there, and they always can use
- 17:31Speaker 3: another reliever. I know they have Deran and Alvarado, but
- 17:36Speaker 3: they can always kirk Ring and some of these others.
- 17:38Speaker 3: But another veteran will look nice in the back end.
- 17:40Speaker 3: If they want to win the World Series, which is
- 17:41Speaker 3: what their goal is.
- 17:43Speaker 2: For me, they need that. I think it lies in
- 17:46Speaker 2: Pete Fairbanks or a Pete Fairbanks type. I don't have
- 17:49Speaker 2: the list right in front of me. I think obviously
- 17:51Speaker 2: they weren't in the elite level. I don't even think
- 17:54Speaker 2: they're in like the closer level where I know Kenley
- 17:57Speaker 2: just signed, but not getting like a Kenley Jansen. I
- 18:00Speaker 2: don't think that's like a Kennley's not coming to be
- 18:03Speaker 2: the eighth inning guy. He's not coming to the team.
- 18:05Speaker 2: He's going to be the closer to get this closer
- 18:07Speaker 2: saves records. But I think you know, it sits in
- 18:10Speaker 2: the Pete Fairbanks type of type of move. Maybe they
- 18:15Speaker 2: move Strom to be not so lefty heavy, even though
- 18:20Speaker 2: Strom's not even really like a left on left guy.
- 18:22Speaker 2: They already have Tanner Banks and Jose Alvarado, and maybe
- 18:25Speaker 2: they would get right handed somewhere somewhere in a trade
- 18:30Speaker 2: or something like that. So I think that's that's where
- 18:32Speaker 2: it sits. Obviously you need catcher, and I think it's
- 18:35Speaker 2: JT or there might be a little bit of panic
- 18:38Speaker 2: in Philly if JT doesn't sign.
- 18:39Speaker 1: There that's Harper's b ff two remember last time and
- 18:45Speaker 1: Schwarber's yeah, and Schwerber that's right.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Hey.
- 18:49Speaker 1: If this was the Mets, they'd be like, Nope, not
- 18:52Speaker 1: good enough. You guys got bounced in the first round
- 18:55Speaker 1: of the playoffs or the DS, right, you got to
- 18:58Speaker 1: buying them the DS, breaking the band up. You guys
- 19:01Speaker 1: aren't allowed to be buddies again. I mean a little
- 19:02Speaker 1: bit of a different situation. I know I'm around, yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 1: but still I do think for Philly, I guess the
- 19:09Speaker 1: one other thing is, you know, is Alec Bohm back
- 19:12Speaker 1: for one more season? Right, because he's a free agent
- 19:15Speaker 1: after this year or is it next after next year?
- 19:17Speaker 1: I think they think this is a platform, yere.
- 19:19Speaker 2: This is last year.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I think maybe maybe if there's a way that they
- 19:26Speaker 2: packaged Costianus and Bomb to a team that needs an outfield,
- 19:31Speaker 2: d H, first baseman and a third basement. I think
- 19:34Speaker 2: there's some value there, I guess I guess I'm kind
- 19:36Speaker 2: of being I'm just recycling that because they tried to
- 19:40Speaker 2: do it last year for Tucker. I just would be
- 19:43Speaker 2: leary if you're the Phillies like, Okay, well, then who
- 19:46Speaker 2: are you who are you backfilling at third base? Because
- 19:50Speaker 2: Bomb's become a very serviceable defender there and in a
- 19:55Speaker 2: full healthy season the last two full healthy seasons, you're
- 19:58Speaker 2: talking about ninety seven State, a guy that doesn't hit
- 20:00Speaker 2: a lot of home runs but does a great job
- 20:03Speaker 2: of taking the ball the other way elevated. I think
- 20:07Speaker 2: you have to be careful that you're backfilling it with
- 20:09Speaker 2: something as comparable in the lineup. A lot of work.
- 20:18Speaker 2: They got a lot of work to do. They got
- 20:19Speaker 2: a lot of work. They still have work to do.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Even after schwarbur and some of the other stuff they've done,
- 20:24Speaker 3: they still have work to do. Don't forget. They get
- 20:25Speaker 3: Wheeler back this year. They still have Nola. What do
- 20:28Speaker 3: they do with Rangers Suarez? They have Wizardo's painter, his
- 20:31Speaker 3: painter a pitcher for him this year right to see
- 20:33Speaker 3: one of their guys they are counting on this year.
- 20:35Speaker 3: So there's questions for a team that's supposed to be
- 20:38Speaker 3: going for the World Series.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Hmm, let's get to another team in the division. Shake
- 20:43Speaker 1: it up. We didn't know it at the time, but
- 20:56Speaker 1: that bar was actually built for the Mets. This offseason,
- 20:59Speaker 1: they are shaking it up. Pete Alonso gone, Edwin Diaz gone,
- 21:04Speaker 1: Brandon Nimo gone. Who who is going to replace people
- 21:07Speaker 1: like this Jorge Planco, who was little postseason hero in
- 21:12Speaker 1: Seattle and they really wanted him back two years, forty
- 21:16Speaker 1: million bucks. Mets outbid the Mariners and he's going to
- 21:19Speaker 1: do little first base, little DH. He can fill in
- 21:23Speaker 1: other spots around the infield. He had a great year,
- 21:26Speaker 1: great year, regular season, great postseason. They gave him a
- 21:30Speaker 1: good chunk of DH time to mix in with second
- 21:32Speaker 1: base and felt like that kept him healthier because he's
- 21:34Speaker 1: had injury issues. And according to Adam Jude As we
- 21:37Speaker 1: just saw on the tweet he covers the Mariners for
- 21:39Speaker 1: the Times out there, he was torn because he wanted
- 21:43Speaker 1: to go to the Mariners and they just weren't getting
- 21:46Speaker 1: up to the offer that the Mets were. I mean,
- 21:49Speaker 1: you never loved to see that when you're a Mets
- 21:50Speaker 1: fan or a fan of any team like you were
- 21:53Speaker 1: his second option, but you paid him to go there.
- 21:55Speaker 1: Not that he's going to play any differently, but he
- 21:57Speaker 1: really wanted to go back to Seattle. What do you
- 21:59Speaker 1: think of the player? Though, jam And you got to
- 22:00Speaker 1: watch him in the Division series that you covered for
- 22:03Speaker 1: Fox that you broadcasted. He had a great, great postseason
- 22:06Speaker 1: and he is nothing like Pete Alonzo, very different profile player.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Uh, do you get the good Polonko?
- 22:15Speaker 3: Do you get the Polanco from twenty twenty five because
- 22:17Speaker 3: twenty twenty four he wasn't very good if you remember,
- 22:20Speaker 3: and in twenty twenty four there he went back to
- 22:22Speaker 3: Seattle on a one year, seven million dollar deal just
- 22:25Speaker 3: as kind of like who somebody will take me back?
- 22:27Speaker 3: So which one are you getting? And the next question
- 22:31Speaker 3: for me is who's in the Mets infield right now?
- 22:35Speaker 3: Because is he going to play first base?
- 22:37Speaker 2: For him?
- 22:37Speaker 3: Because don't they have Simeon playing second? Don't they have
- 22:40Speaker 3: Lindork short Brent Batty at third? Fiento said first, So
- 22:45Speaker 3: where does he play? That's my question? Because the ah, okay,
- 22:50Speaker 3: but do you want to lock that up with a
- 22:52Speaker 3: guy who doesn't hit a ton of homers and can
- 22:56Speaker 3: be up and down offensively.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Right, So this was a you know what this felt.
- 23:01Speaker 3: Like, and Mets fans, you're gonna hate Crafts or saying
- 23:04Speaker 3: for him saying this, But this felt like a panic
- 23:07Speaker 3: signing because they didn't saynyone else and they're like, we
- 23:09Speaker 3: gotta sign somebody make our fans abby, So let's just
- 23:12Speaker 3: go sign nothing plunk is on a nice player.
- 23:14Speaker 2: But I don't know, it just worked.
- 23:17Speaker 3: It doesn't fit in the it doesn't fit what you
- 23:19Speaker 3: would think that the Mets would be looking for. And
- 23:22Speaker 3: maybe he'll prove me wrong, and I hope he does,
- 23:24Speaker 3: but I just I just don't know why Krats would
- 23:26Speaker 3: think that this doesn't work.
- 23:29Speaker 2: I'm not sure why I'm thrown under the bus, but
- 23:31Speaker 2: I appreciate it, and for first, for I can take that.
- 23:35Speaker 2: I can take that from Mets fans first though, Scott,
- 23:40Speaker 2: you said, oh man, you don't feel good that the
- 23:42Speaker 2: Mets had to give extra money to get a guy
- 23:45Speaker 2: to the place where you know he wanted to go
- 23:47Speaker 2: back somewhere else, but because they spent the money. Look,
- 23:51Speaker 2: the Mets got to do this we talked about this.
- 23:53Speaker 2: If the Mets, Mets fans are gonna look at it
- 23:56Speaker 2: and go, well, you could have just spent more on
- 23:57Speaker 2: Pete Alonzo, Well you could have spent more on Porgee Polonko.
- 24:01Speaker 2: This is really who the Mets wanted. This is where
- 24:03Speaker 2: David Stearns and maybe Stevie Cohen. I think this is
- 24:06Speaker 2: probably a little below Stevie Cohen's care meter. He's like,
- 24:11Speaker 2: talk to me when we get twenty million a year, guys,
- 24:13Speaker 2: then I'll talk about it. But you know, I think
- 24:15Speaker 2: this is who they wanted, and so good for the Mets.
- 24:18Speaker 2: I would say good for the Mets that they had
- 24:20Speaker 2: to pay a little bit more to pull him away
- 24:21Speaker 2: from a place where he wanted to be. My thing
- 24:25Speaker 2: is Jorge polon Can you talk about up years, down years?
- 24:28Speaker 2: You know what is causing that? I can have plenty
- 24:31Speaker 2: of theories. Does he come into this lineup and his
- 24:37Speaker 2: strikeouts keep spiking because all his years, his worst years,
- 24:43Speaker 2: his strikeouts spike And why are they spiking? I have
- 24:47Speaker 2: no idea. Is it because he becomes more of a
- 24:49Speaker 2: focal point? You know, he came to Seattle that year
- 24:53Speaker 2: and he struck out. I forget what one hundred and
- 24:55Speaker 2: thirty seven times last year he dropped that by fifty five,
- 25:00Speaker 2: fifty five less strikeouts in almost the exact same amount
- 25:03Speaker 2: of at bats. And to me, is it because of
- 25:07Speaker 2: who's around him? So do the Mets get more value
- 25:10Speaker 2: out of this signing? No matter if he's playing at
- 25:13Speaker 2: first base or DH Likeugh just doesn't feel like a
- 25:16Speaker 2: great first base or DH signing. But are they getting
- 25:20Speaker 2: more value out of him? Because Lindor is going to
- 25:24Speaker 2: be ahead of him hitting, Soto is gonna be ahead
- 25:27Speaker 2: of him hitting, And he's not the guy when he
- 25:29Speaker 2: goes to the Mariners like they're expecting him to be
- 25:31Speaker 2: his own base percentage self and he just fell into
- 25:35Speaker 2: the Mariner's mold of well, everybody strikes out, so I'm
- 25:39Speaker 2: going to strike out. He had his largest spike in strikeouts.
- 25:42Speaker 2: So how does he How do they get the most
- 25:46Speaker 2: value out of him? Maybe they see something that hey,
- 25:48Speaker 2: when he's watching guys like Soto take his pitches, he
- 25:52Speaker 2: becomes more he becomes less aggressive and doesn't need to
- 25:56Speaker 2: feel like he has the weight of the team on
- 25:58Speaker 2: his shoulders. I don't know. I'm confused that they now
- 26:02Speaker 2: have a corner to the market on Jorge Polanco and
- 26:05Speaker 2: Marcus Simeon at second base, and it's like, well, only
- 26:08Speaker 2: one can play second. Do you think Simon's gonna DH Like,
- 26:12Speaker 2: I don't know. No, he's not, because he wants to
- 26:15Speaker 2: play every day and he's got to do second. His
- 26:18Speaker 2: values in defense, Yeah, his values in defense. So I'm
- 26:22Speaker 2: confused when teams like the Orioles last year when they
- 26:26Speaker 2: went and got Tyler O'Neil was like, this isn't where
- 26:28Speaker 2: they need to spend their money, but they did. So
- 26:31Speaker 2: I don't know all the inner workings, but from the outside,
- 26:35Speaker 2: I think he's a good player. I just am confused
- 26:37Speaker 2: that that's where, like, is this the replacement for pee Alonzo?
- 26:41Speaker 2: If it is, whoa boy.
- 26:44Speaker 1: It is the replacement for Pee Alonzo? Guys, it is
- 26:47Speaker 1: I mean, aj, you're coming into the season not expecting
- 26:49Speaker 1: everyone to be hurt. Actually, they have a really durable infield.
- 26:53Speaker 1: Lindor plays, Semion plays Beaty. I guess is younger. But
- 26:58Speaker 1: if you figure those guys are healthy and if Beaty
- 27:01Speaker 1: takes another step, then or hey, Planco is your first baseman,
- 27:05Speaker 1: maybe splitting time with Bientos and dah.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Why why that's why the signing doesn't make sense. Why
- 27:11Speaker 3: go trade for Simon and inside Polonco, go get someone,
- 27:15Speaker 3: Go get somebody else that can fill that role. Polanco's
- 27:18Speaker 3: not a forty plus home run guy. He's really never
- 27:20Speaker 3: played first base.
- 27:22Speaker 1: One.
- 27:22Speaker 2: You have Vientos, so.
- 27:23Speaker 3: You got to get at bats. You have Beaty who
- 27:26Speaker 3: you need to get at bats to. Why it doesn't
- 27:28Speaker 3: This is why this signing doesn't make any sense to me.
- 27:31Speaker 3: Why where does he fit in this roster other than
- 27:33Speaker 3: just giving a player to Carlos Mendoza and saying, try
- 27:37Speaker 3: to figure out how to play him.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm confused. He played last year. He played one
- 27:44Speaker 2: game at first that was his first game started at
- 27:46Speaker 2: first base, five at third base. So if you're looking
- 27:49Speaker 2: for like a if you're looking for like a versatile player,
- 27:53Speaker 2: I don't know. He hit eighty I didn't know this
- 27:56Speaker 2: aj you covered the Mariners. He hit eighty seven star arts,
- 28:01Speaker 2: eighty seven starts at DH. I had no idea, and
- 28:04Speaker 2: the Mariners I felt like kind of hamstrung themselves a
- 28:06Speaker 2: few years ago when they signed Mitch Garver. Yes, he
- 28:11Speaker 2: can catch, and they had him catch a little bit
- 28:13Speaker 2: more this year, but it was more like, hey, you
- 28:15Speaker 2: know he's going to be that DH. They were lucky
- 28:18Speaker 2: that cal Raley can play one hundred and fifty games
- 28:21Speaker 2: behind a dish like you you kind of have. I
- 28:25Speaker 2: just am confused at when you put a guy like this,
- 28:30Speaker 2: he's kind of like, is he your backup second basement
- 28:33Speaker 2: if something happens to Simeon. If that's the case, why
- 28:36Speaker 2: do you make that trade? Like, why do you make
- 28:38Speaker 2: the trade for a guy who's durble? That's his superpower,
- 28:41Speaker 2: that's Simeon's superpower. That's a position you don't need to
- 28:44Speaker 2: backfill out. Luis Anghelkunya is your backup second basement. I
- 28:50Speaker 2: am confused by this because you would think there would
- 28:52Speaker 2: be a higher value DH out there on the market,
- 28:55Speaker 2: But maybe they don't see it that way.
- 28:57Speaker 1: They might be trading some of their young Guyskuna, Ronnie
- 29:01Speaker 1: Mauricio and others could get dealt for pitching. The one
- 29:06Speaker 1: thing I think they will try and do is pluck
- 29:08Speaker 1: a pitcher because they don't want to play ball with
- 29:13Speaker 1: the long term starting pitching contracts. If that's not you,
- 29:17Speaker 1: there is a way to get around that, and that
- 29:18Speaker 1: is trading for guys.
- 29:20Speaker 3: What is Luis and Hella Cuna, gonna get your top
- 29:23Speaker 3: flight starting pitcher. In order for them to get top
- 29:26Speaker 3: flight starting pitcher, you know what they're gonna have to
- 29:28Speaker 3: do trade some of their pitching prospects, and a lot
- 29:31Speaker 3: of teams, like the Mets don't want to do that.
- 29:33Speaker 3: They're gonna say, well, you know, especially if you're the Mets,
- 29:36Speaker 3: if you can go sign a guy, why don't you
- 29:38Speaker 3: go sign a guy if you can make a treat
- 29:39Speaker 3: you know, would have made more sense for the Mets
- 29:42Speaker 3: could tell Marte.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Too soon, Oh my gosh, yes, yes, it would have
- 29:50Speaker 1: made a lot of sense. But the problem is the ask.
- 29:54Speaker 3: Okay, if you're gonna go out, if you're gonna go
- 29:56Speaker 3: out and get a top flight starting pitcher, and you're saying,
- 30:00Speaker 3: are going to use their prospects, how high do you
- 30:01Speaker 3: think he asked, it's going to be for that McLean
- 30:04Speaker 3: and tong for whoever you want to go get.
- 30:07Speaker 1: I think they would ask, no, right, that's right away, No,
- 30:10Speaker 1: but you're not trading McLean. But I'm saying I think
- 30:14Speaker 1: the Diamondbacks could have a conversation, or maybe they did
- 30:16Speaker 1: already and they asked for tongue and sprote something like that,
- 30:21Speaker 1: do you make that?
- 30:24Speaker 2: I would do that, but but we can't even we
- 30:26Speaker 2: can't even talk about this. They decided to have a
- 30:29Speaker 2: salary swap and they went defensively. They went defense defense
- 30:32Speaker 2: at second base. So to me, you just can't. It's
- 30:36Speaker 2: like when if anybody ever does fantasy football drafts, it's
- 30:39Speaker 2: like the guy who's like, oh, I'm gonna have you know,
- 30:42Speaker 2: three running backs and it's like, whoa, well, we don't
- 30:44Speaker 2: have a flex on this. How are you gonna run?
- 30:46Speaker 2: How are you gonna get all three of the top
- 30:47Speaker 2: running backs in there? Like? You know what I mean?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Do you remember the jumbo package with the Brewers. I
- 30:53Speaker 1: mean they just threw anybody on the infield in any position.
- 30:56Speaker 1: You you were part of that. I was there for that,
- 30:58Speaker 1: right you saw They're like Kesten here, Mike Mustakis, Jonathan Scope, like,
- 31:04Speaker 1: you guys can play anywhere in the infield. I know
- 31:06Speaker 1: you can't, but you can. And they were shifting back
- 31:08Speaker 1: then that's probably what you're going to say. This is
- 31:10Speaker 1: a different ballgame. But wait one more point here. Pete
- 31:13Speaker 1: Alonzo was criticized by the team internally metrics wise for
- 31:17Speaker 1: his defense. Warriet Polanco has been. I would say maybe
- 31:21Speaker 1: a tick below average defender on the infields. Who says
- 31:25Speaker 1: he's going to be a stud at first base, I
- 31:27Speaker 1: mean he's never played it before. He might be fine,
- 31:29Speaker 1: but he's never played it before. Like, it's not like
- 31:31Speaker 1: you're replacing Pete with a defensive whiz.
- 31:34Speaker 2: You're not. You are not getting above average output defensively
- 31:40Speaker 2: at first base. If Jorge Polancos in his first year,
- 31:42Speaker 2: it is too intricate of a position. I've probably if
- 31:45Speaker 2: I've said it once, I've said it ten times on
- 31:47Speaker 2: the show. First base is a hard position to get
- 31:52Speaker 2: elite defensive value out of. Just because you move a
- 31:56Speaker 2: athletic Jorge Polonco, you move in athletic Jake cronin Worth.
- 32:01Speaker 2: The first base like to learn it and to beat
- 32:05Speaker 2: elite at it, which is what they're asking somebody to
- 32:08Speaker 2: come in and fill in for Pete. Defensively, it's hard
- 32:11Speaker 2: to do. You don't just do it just because you
- 32:13Speaker 2: can get a first base bit. Doesn't mean everybody can
- 32:15Speaker 2: play it.
- 32:18Speaker 1: Okay, let me get to the second Leger.
- 32:21Speaker 2: Let me ask you this.
- 32:22Speaker 3: I understand, but Marcus Simon has had two down years
- 32:24Speaker 3: in a row. Okay, so you go out and you
- 32:26Speaker 3: trade him for Nimo, who's one of your best offensive players.
- 32:29Speaker 3: Love him or hate him, he's one of their best
- 32:32Speaker 3: offensive players. So he leaves me scratching my head. Then
- 32:34Speaker 3: you go out and you lose Edwin Diaz. Then you
- 32:36Speaker 3: go out and you lose Pete Alonzo, and you replace
- 32:39Speaker 3: him with the Jorge Bolonco again, who's a nice player.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Not great defensively, had a bad twenty four.
- 32:46Speaker 3: Really, honestly, the reason people know his name is because
- 32:49Speaker 3: of what he did in the postseason, right, so why
- 32:53Speaker 3: go get him? And yes, you can stick him at
- 32:55Speaker 3: first base, But what was the whole thing that Nimo said?
- 32:57Speaker 3: The reason he got let go was un prevention? Right,
- 33:01Speaker 3: run prevention. Jorge Polonco doesn't help your run prevention. He
- 33:04Speaker 3: helps your run production. So this it's like again, it's
- 33:08Speaker 3: like David Stearns. We love him to death, but and
- 33:11Speaker 3: Mets fans are kind of like, I don't know, but
- 33:14Speaker 3: what's he doing? What's his plan here other than just
- 33:16Speaker 3: like I have to panic.
- 33:17Speaker 2: And sign somebody I think offensively, Je Polonga. The only
- 33:21Speaker 2: thing I would go against you, Aja is Hoye Blanco
- 33:23Speaker 2: had a really good offensive year. I think he had
- 33:26Speaker 2: his best ever ops plus one thirty two. You compare
- 33:29Speaker 2: him to other guys offensively, he was more than just
- 33:32Speaker 2: what he did in the playoffs. But exactly what you
- 33:37Speaker 2: said is spot on. What are we doing? Are we
- 33:42Speaker 2: getting Marcus Simeon even though his his offense is down,
- 33:46Speaker 2: but his defense is there, and he's he's gonna be
- 33:48Speaker 2: an upgrade over McNeil over what you know. Okay, now
- 33:51Speaker 2: we're getting Jorge Polanco because there's a defensive upgrade. It'll
- 33:55Speaker 2: be interesting to see how all of this plays out
- 33:58Speaker 2: and all of it blends out. Because I watched the
- 34:01Speaker 2: thing about, you know, simulating the Mets season right now,
- 34:05Speaker 2: a lot of not prognosticators, but analysts and analytical data
- 34:10Speaker 2: says the Mets are still going to be good with
- 34:12Speaker 2: the current roster without making this was before they have
- 34:15Speaker 2: Jorge Polanco there. And I'm interested to see what happens
- 34:19Speaker 2: if they build a team analytically and based on like
- 34:22Speaker 2: theoretical numbers. I don't know, I'm I'm not buying it yet.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Let's put it that way, all.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Right, here we go. Okay, Kratz, you and me speed
- 34:33Speaker 1: round tons of moves from the weekend. Okay, are you
- 34:37Speaker 1: ready game face on? I think so okay, And if
- 34:40Speaker 1: there are questions as we go, you need to ask
- 34:43Speaker 1: them fast, because then I will move on to the
- 34:45Speaker 1: next move. But we'll start with one that's pretty big
- 34:48Speaker 1: on the money trail, two years, forty million dollars. Merril
- 34:50Speaker 1: Kelly ken Rosenthal reported that he had an offer for
- 34:54Speaker 1: three years fifty plus from a West Coast team. He heard,
- 34:58Speaker 1: but he did the math and said it's probably a
- 34:59Speaker 1: team in California. Merril wanted to go back to Arizona.
- 35:02Speaker 1: He was vocal about that. If they were able to
- 35:05Speaker 1: find a way to get him in a range that
- 35:08Speaker 1: he was good with, plus can mention this cost of living, taxes,
- 35:12Speaker 1: whatever you start to do the math, Arizona was the fit.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Merril Kelly helps a rotation that desperately needed to replenish
- 35:20Speaker 1: itself with someone who just was traded away.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you can't. You can't not like this signing.
- 35:27Speaker 2: I think Merril Kelly and the Diamondbacks, especially towards the
- 35:31Speaker 2: end of his career. I love the fact that he
- 35:34Speaker 2: will most likely finish his career here. I love the
- 35:36Speaker 2: fact that he doesn't need to go somewhere else to prove, hey,
- 35:40Speaker 2: this is what I did in Arizona, and I felt
- 35:43Speaker 2: like he made a few tweaks in the last I
- 35:47Speaker 2: would say three quarters of this past season that I
- 35:49Speaker 2: think kind of took him to the next level when
- 35:52Speaker 2: at his age people will kind of say, eh, you
- 35:55Speaker 2: know what, he's probably gonna decline a little bit. I
- 35:58Speaker 2: love the fact that he revamped his career, came back
- 36:03Speaker 2: over here after pitching in Japan, and has had success
- 36:06Speaker 2: with the Diamondbacks. And I think this two year deal, well,
- 36:10Speaker 2: it wasn't a slam dunk because clearly he had big
- 36:12Speaker 2: offers from elsewhere. I felt like it was pretty much
- 36:17Speaker 2: like this is the guy. If you were gonna say
- 36:18Speaker 2: Zach Gallen or Merril Kelly coming back, I felt like
- 36:22Speaker 2: Meryl Kelly was by far a better chance of coming back.
- 36:26Speaker 2: And I think the Diamonbacks are still a good team
- 36:28Speaker 2: even when you hear could tell Marte could be traded,
- 36:31Speaker 2: and if he is traded, I think they still fill
- 36:33Speaker 2: in with a Jordan Laller. So I love that they
- 36:35Speaker 2: still solidified. Your thirty two starts a year and twenty
- 36:39Speaker 2: million a year for a starter that's qualified easy money.
- 36:44Speaker 1: Yeah, he doesn't throw hard right. I mean he's the
- 36:46Speaker 1: low nineties with the fastball below. He actually gets a
- 36:49Speaker 1: lot of chase for what he brings to the table.
- 36:52Speaker 1: I mean, he's unpredictable, and I think the world saw
- 36:56Speaker 1: what he was about in the World Series or just
- 36:58Speaker 1: in the playoff run for them, I should say three.
- 37:00Speaker 1: And he's really carried the success, right. I mean, he
- 37:03Speaker 1: ain't young, but he still got it and he was
- 37:05Speaker 1: actually throwing a little harder I think halfway through the
- 37:07Speaker 1: year and carried that out. But he had a great year.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I mean, he hits his spots.
- 37:12Speaker 2: The chase is. The chase is the part that I
- 37:14Speaker 2: think has increased for him because he throws that little
- 37:18Speaker 2: You know, he's a guy that goes, you know, ninety
- 37:21Speaker 2: two cut, ninety two sinc ninety two cut. Now he's
- 37:24Speaker 2: been able to get that extra tick with velocity. But
- 37:28Speaker 2: now you don't know if that extra spin is going
- 37:31Speaker 2: to be that cutter or if it's gonna you know,
- 37:33Speaker 2: something is gonna break farther off. And that's where he
- 37:35Speaker 2: gets that chase because you know you're not getting stuff
- 37:39Speaker 2: middle middle from him. You know, it's edges, and then
- 37:42Speaker 2: he expands off those edges. He does a great job
- 37:45Speaker 2: of tunneling without it being ninety nine hammer off of that,
- 37:50Speaker 2: he's he's really come into his own what you expect
- 37:52Speaker 2: veteran pictures to do. And I think it's Yeah. I
- 37:55Speaker 2: like the signing for diamondbacks.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Many more money signing to go one quick break For
- 38:08Speaker 1: all the parents out there with teenagers like crats we

- 39:11Speaker 1: Next up, the Detroit Tigers added Kyle Finningan the other
- 39:15Speaker 1: day and now not added. They brought him back right
- 39:17Speaker 1: They traded for him at the deadline. He was pretty
- 39:19Speaker 1: good for them up the splitter usage. We talked about
- 39:22Speaker 1: that the other day. Now add Kenley Jansen to the
- 39:24Speaker 1: mix in his chase for five hundred career saves and
- 39:27Speaker 1: also to be part of a team that should be
- 39:30Speaker 1: in the playoff hunt. One year, eleven million bucks club
- 39:33Speaker 1: option for twenty twenty seven. I actually was surprised about
- 39:36Speaker 1: the club option part, just because it's ken Lee and
- 39:38Speaker 1: I think he does want to end up back on
- 39:39Speaker 1: the West Coast and he's looking for the best deal
- 39:41Speaker 1: in the best situation right now. But they actually can
- 39:43Speaker 1: get him for two years. If he puts together what
- 39:45Speaker 1: he did this past season, they'll probably keep him.
- 39:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and you're not getting Kenley of the you know,
- 39:52Speaker 2: twenty tens, but you are getting ken Lee the closer
- 39:57Speaker 2: and that role is solidified. Kenlly Json wants to get
- 40:01Speaker 2: to his five hundred that's what you said, right, five
- 40:04Speaker 2: hundred saves. Yes, four to seventy six right now, he
- 40:06Speaker 2: wants to get there twenty four saves after having twenty
- 40:10Speaker 2: nine last year. Like, he knows he needs to be
- 40:12Speaker 2: on the team that wins, and I think he knows
- 40:14Speaker 2: that the Tigers can win. He's going to strike out
- 40:17Speaker 2: about one per inning, so you like that number. Obviously,
- 40:22Speaker 2: the Tigers do need more strikeouts. But when you have
- 40:25Speaker 2: a solidified closer, somebody who's going to be in the
- 40:29Speaker 2: closer role, it pushes everybody back a little bit. And
- 40:32Speaker 2: I think it helps because you have a for the
- 40:36Speaker 2: most part, a pretty young bullpen. Now Tommy Kinley's gone,
- 40:40Speaker 2: Kyle Finnigan's not that young, but you know you brought
- 40:42Speaker 2: him back because you love the doubling of his splitter usage,
- 40:47Speaker 2: which they did coming over from Washington. To me, this
- 40:51Speaker 2: helps any of those young guys because they're going to
- 40:54Speaker 2: have to continue to call on guys from their minor
- 40:57Speaker 2: league system and guys that are currently in that bullpen
- 41:01Speaker 2: because they can't they haven't been able to dip in
- 41:03Speaker 2: the water. This is a I like the signing. He
- 41:06Speaker 2: closes the game for you. There's there's very few actual
- 41:09Speaker 2: closers still out there. There's guys who take the high
- 41:14Speaker 2: leverage innings. But this is a closer and he's gonna
- 41:18Speaker 2: want that situation. A two five nine e er. I
- 41:22Speaker 2: like it. I'm I'm I'm on board with this. I'm
- 41:25Speaker 2: on board with this for this team, and I think
- 41:27Speaker 2: you'll have a little bit more success too. Larger field,
- 41:31Speaker 2: the defense is there for them, so it's there for
- 41:34Speaker 2: him because he's not just one hundred strikeouts in sixty
- 41:37Speaker 2: innings type of pitcher anymore.
- 41:39Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, you know, ERA is not the best
- 41:42Speaker 1: stat for not reliever all the time, but too and
- 41:45Speaker 1: a half era ERA A plus was one sixty five.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Like the run prevention from him, results were great. Yeah,
- 41:53Speaker 1: there's he's not Kay Kenley anymore. He's command ken Ley.
- 41:55Speaker 1: That's the thing. I mean, he's cut the walks down
- 41:58Speaker 1: and the strikeout to go down, but he's finding other
- 42:01Speaker 1: ways to get out. That's what you do, and that's
- 42:03Speaker 1: how you mature as a pitcher and stay in the league.
- 42:06Speaker 2: He's closer Kenley. I don't know that he's necessarily command Kenley,
- 42:10Speaker 2: he's closer Kenley and e R A plus for closers,
- 42:14Speaker 2: you have to you have to. You have to take
- 42:16Speaker 2: that as a There's very few metrics that are good
- 42:20Speaker 2: for closers because e RA. You can have a four
- 42:22Speaker 2: e R and have a ridiculous season because of because
- 42:25Speaker 2: of a couple of blow up games your e R plus.
- 42:29Speaker 2: There's some dudes, there's some closers that have had like
- 42:31Speaker 2: three hundred e R pluses. It's not as equal as
- 42:34Speaker 2: it is to starting pitchers. But the biggest thing, because
- 42:39Speaker 2: the save is an actual thing, the ninth inning is
- 42:42Speaker 2: actually different than every other inning, regardless of what analytics
- 42:46Speaker 2: says to me. That's where the value is. And you
- 42:50Speaker 2: know he's searching for a goal. He wants that five hundred.
- 42:54Speaker 2: I think it's something that you're you've solidified a position.
- 42:58Speaker 2: It's kind of like getting position players. Oh, this guy
- 43:00Speaker 2: plays short third, left field, He's going to bounce around
- 43:04Speaker 2: to all three. It's like, well, what did you really
- 43:05Speaker 2: did you really upgrade or is this like an upgrade
- 43:07Speaker 2: to the bench. It's like a bullpen guy. Kyle Finnigan,
- 43:12Speaker 2: good closer, gets a lot of saves now he gets
- 43:15Speaker 2: to bump back to the eighth inning, seventh inning, depending
- 43:17Speaker 2: on where they're at in the lineup, and they get
- 43:19Speaker 2: those good matchups because you have a solidified ninth inning guy.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Next reliever that goes Look at the money for Tyler Rogers.
- 43:28Speaker 1: Three years, thirty seven million bucks, no deferrals. The Blue
- 43:32Speaker 1: Jays signed him. There's also a vesting option in there
- 43:34Speaker 1: that can make this a four year, forty eight million
- 43:36Speaker 1: dollar deal. It looks like they had the highest offer
- 43:39Speaker 1: and they had the ultimate chip. They were like, we
- 43:42Speaker 1: named the ballpark after you years ago in anticipation of
- 43:46Speaker 1: this recruitment, and they won him.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I didn't even think about that. I like that. You
- 43:52Speaker 2: made you made me lol, you made me laugh out loud.
- 43:55Speaker 2: I was actually there when Tyler Rogers got to be
- 43:59Speaker 2: in the big leage twenty nineteen. I was with the
- 44:01Speaker 2: Giants in their exhibition games at the end. I wasn't
- 44:05Speaker 2: there in spring training and he didn't make the team.
- 44:08Speaker 2: They were like, this guy has killed it in the
- 44:10Speaker 2: minor leagues. Something people don't realize about Tyler Rodgers is
- 44:15Speaker 2: he killed the minor leagues for years and didn't make
- 44:18Speaker 2: it up until he was twenty eight years old, and
- 44:22Speaker 2: Bruce Bochi was like, oh, this guy, he's got a
- 44:24Speaker 2: he really should make the team. And he was fortunate
- 44:27Speaker 2: he was able to make his big league debut that year.
- 44:29Speaker 2: And it's something that he has found a niche between
- 44:34Speaker 2: staying healthy and being very unique. His velocity is not
- 44:39Speaker 2: going down, and teams that use him and his unique
- 44:43Speaker 2: delivery to its fullest shows why he's getting a three
- 44:47Speaker 2: year deal. Think about other relievers that have gotten three
- 44:50Speaker 2: year deals. And he goes to the Blue Jays now,
- 44:54Speaker 2: which I don't know if we have the graphic or not,
- 44:57Speaker 2: but you go Trey Ya Savage, who throws the highest
- 45:00Speaker 2: release point seven foot one or seven foot two in baseball,
- 45:06Speaker 2: to Tyler Rodgers, who throws the lowest release point in baseball.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Well there we go, Yeah, perfect.
- 45:14Speaker 1: That's good.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:15Speaker 1: The arm angle difference is they also picked up that
- 45:17Speaker 1: guy Chase Lee over the weekend from the Tigers who's
- 45:20Speaker 1: pitched a little bit and kind of a late bloomer
- 45:21Speaker 1: twenty seven year old side armor. So clearly they're into
- 45:24Speaker 1: different arm angles right now.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Kratz, that's don't give hitters the same look twice. If
- 45:31Speaker 2: you go Trey you Savage to Tyler Rodgers to Jeff Hoffman,
- 45:39Speaker 2: like you're getting so many different looks, don't make your
- 45:42Speaker 2: team all exactly the same because big leg hitters, even
- 45:45Speaker 2: crappy two nine negative war hitters like me, can make
- 45:50Speaker 2: an adjustment if you see the exact same thing over
- 45:52Speaker 2: and over again. And the Blue Jays definitely are building
- 45:56Speaker 2: that look in their bullpen and their rotation, and I
- 46:01Speaker 2: think there is there is so many huge benefits to that.
- 46:06Speaker 2: But analytically that might not always show up. But players
- 46:10Speaker 2: will say, crap I was just getting in a groove
- 46:13Speaker 2: facing this guy, and now we're seeing something from down there.
- 46:16Speaker 2: We're seeing something from the left side coming to three quarters.
- 46:20Speaker 2: You know it's it is something, and a raise kind
- 46:23Speaker 2: of started it before getting all hands of the clock
- 46:25Speaker 2: with a pitcher. It's just tougher and tougher for hitters
- 46:28Speaker 2: to consistently square things up in a great American League
- 46:31Speaker 2: East and the Blue Jays keep pouncing while the while
- 46:35Speaker 2: the iron's hot here.
- 46:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they love what just happened in October and they
- 46:40Speaker 1: want a lot more of it, and they're getting aggressive,
- 46:42Speaker 1: and you got to appreciate that they're investing it right
- 46:44Speaker 1: back into the team. Canada is just loving their offseason
- 46:47Speaker 1: so far, and I think there's a lot more to go.
- 46:49Speaker 1: A right, let's try and do four moves in four minutes. Ready.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Danny Jansen up next, fourteen and a half million dollars
- 46:54Speaker 1: two year contract. Texas Rangers. Let Jonahan go, they replace
- 46:59Speaker 1: him right here. Also some smaller moves here as you
- 47:01Speaker 1: can see from Ken Alexis Diez who used to be
- 47:04Speaker 1: really good as a closer for the Reds, and then
- 47:05Speaker 1: lefty reliever Tyler Alexander. But here's your replacement. Danny Jansen.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Super solid.
- 47:11Speaker 2: Love that he got a two year deal. He's kind
- 47:13Speaker 2: of been on the fringe kind of guy, and his
- 47:15Speaker 2: ability to learn some new things receiving wise, when he
- 47:20Speaker 2: went over to Milwaukee was kind of a role player.
- 47:22Speaker 2: He'll get more burn the combo of him and Higgy.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Texas is still valuing that receiving and they're still valuing
- 47:31Speaker 2: what Danny Janssen can do and what Higgy can do.
- 47:35Speaker 2: And I think it'll be you know, probably round an
- 47:37Speaker 2: eighty eighty game split, so essentially spending about fourteen million,
- 47:43Speaker 2: thirteen million at the catching position, which if you look
- 47:47Speaker 2: at other teams, they're going to spend that on a
- 47:49Speaker 2: starting catcher. So good for the Rangers, and I think
- 47:52Speaker 2: it's a it's a good spot for him.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Next up Dustin May Sweeper City going to Saint Louis
- 47:59Speaker 1: him Blueom making a move here to acquire someone that,
- 48:03Speaker 1: if things work out, is a trade ship for you
- 48:05Speaker 1: at the deadline.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. Get him to stay in the strike zone,
- 48:10Speaker 2: get him to harness all the things after a full
- 48:13Speaker 2: off season of health, because he's kind of gone through
- 48:17Speaker 2: not just not just baseball health, but like physical health,
- 48:20Speaker 2: like life things that he has found out that now
- 48:24Speaker 2: he's getting back out on the mound last year. Can
- 48:27Speaker 2: you have a full, healthy offseason. The sky's the limit
- 48:31Speaker 2: for a dude that throws that much variation on that sweeper, sweeper,
- 48:36Speaker 2: slider and then the running sinker. I don't even call
- 48:39Speaker 2: a sinker the runner in it's just so hard to
- 48:42Speaker 2: keep him in the zone. Can they figure out how
- 48:45Speaker 2: to keep him in the zone. How can that catching core,
- 48:49Speaker 2: the pitching coaches, the organization keep him in the zone
- 48:52Speaker 2: for fifteen games and at a trade deadline that would
- 48:55Speaker 2: be a massive piece because then he can he can
- 48:59Speaker 2: make a huge contract in the offseason, which you thought
- 49:01Speaker 2: he would have years ago when he first broke into
- 49:04Speaker 2: the big leagues and you were like, whoa, this dude
- 49:06Speaker 2: is electric.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Yeah, we were like, this kid has it, but maybe
- 49:09Speaker 1: a lower pressure environment to just kind of do his
- 49:12Speaker 1: thing and just rack up starts. I don't know, maybe
- 49:14Speaker 1: it doesn't make a difference, but yeah, health, that's true.
- 49:17Speaker 1: But I mean, twenty five appearance of twenty three starts
- 49:19Speaker 1: this past season. The ra was about five. But we'll see.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, for a while. Now you prove health,
- 49:25Speaker 1: Now you get better still young, Yeah, Okay, I like it.
- 49:29Speaker 1: Josh Bell one year, seven million bucks, Minnesota Twins classic
- 49:34Speaker 1: Twins move. This also further solidifies they're probably not trading
- 49:38Speaker 1: their big boys. They're just going to do these little
- 49:40Speaker 1: baby ads. And you know, Josh Bell's got pop piece. Fine,
- 49:44Speaker 1: you know it's there. It's actually getting up there now.
- 49:46Speaker 1: Like we used to talk about Josh Bell back in
- 49:48Speaker 1: that one first half you had where where everyone was like,
- 49:51Speaker 1: is this dude about to be an MVP? And you
- 49:53Speaker 1: know he's been a okay first basement.
- 49:56Speaker 2: I mean, you know JB. I was there when he
- 49:59Speaker 2: made his major debut with the with the Pirates and
- 50:03Speaker 2: they brought him up just for like a weekend, and
- 50:05Speaker 2: he absolutely killed the Cubbies. Thought we were getting back
- 50:08Speaker 2: in the race, and we were still like ten and
- 50:10Speaker 2: a half games behind the Cubs. I think that two sixteen,
- 50:13Speaker 2: So that year ended up pretty well for the Cubs,
- 50:16Speaker 2: but it was He's somebody that is always tinkering with
- 50:20Speaker 2: his swing. He's always saying, oh, it's just not good enough.
- 50:23Speaker 2: And as a switch hitter, that's tough. You hope that
- 50:27Speaker 2: the Twins, who have done a good job with some
- 50:29Speaker 2: of their hitters, can help him and keep to it.
- 50:33Speaker 2: But you know what, you're getting your solid veteran presence
- 50:39Speaker 2: there at first base. And yeah, kind of like what
- 50:41Speaker 2: we said about Dustin may Oh, maybe a trade chip.
- 50:45Speaker 2: I think he would have been a trade chip this
- 50:47Speaker 2: year at the first base position had he not gotten
- 50:49Speaker 2: off to such a slow start. But he's always going
- 50:52Speaker 2: to put together good at bats and it's always going
- 50:54Speaker 2: to be a different looking swing. This dude works so
- 50:57Speaker 2: hard at it, and when you change you're swing that much,
- 51:00Speaker 2: you always have a chance to have this like three
- 51:03Speaker 2: month run where this dude's just unconscious because he hits
- 51:08Speaker 2: from both sides of the plate. He never has a
- 51:09Speaker 2: bad matchup.
- 51:10Speaker 1: M not a good defender, so maybe more DH time
- 51:14Speaker 1: too with Minnesota, and they certainly have a spot there.
- 51:16Speaker 1: I mean below average defender, right, but above average fat
- 51:19Speaker 1: this past season. So fine, that's where the Twins are
- 51:22Speaker 1: going to play ball this offseason. And then lastly, I
- 51:25Speaker 1: think we got to everything here from major league signings
- 51:28Speaker 1: over the weekend of med Rosario bringing himself back to
- 51:31Speaker 1: the Yankees one year, two and a half million bucks,
- 51:33Speaker 1: and they had talked about how they wanted to have
- 51:36Speaker 1: this kind of platoon option, and clearly they had a
- 51:38Speaker 1: little taste and they're like, cool, we like this. We
- 51:41Speaker 1: like the versatility brings, we like what we can do
- 51:43Speaker 1: off the bench, and he can spell Ryan McMahon against
- 51:46Speaker 1: left handed pitching.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I like his energy. I'm not going to talk anything
- 51:50Speaker 2: about physical on the field. I like what he brings
- 51:53Speaker 2: and some people might get pissed off about it, but
- 51:56Speaker 2: sometimes the Yankees, just like everyone just gets in line.
- 52:00Speaker 2: I'm at Rosario brings a little bit like he's on
- 52:03Speaker 2: the bench, he's not playing. That day, somebody hits a
- 52:05Speaker 2: big home run, he comes out of the end of
- 52:08Speaker 2: the dugout, walks across in front some people are like, oh,
- 52:11Speaker 2: it's too much. For me, it's too I love what
- 52:13Speaker 2: he brings to this team, and he also is He's
- 52:16Speaker 2: still a decent player when he plays his role, when
- 52:19Speaker 2: he's putting his role. But to me, I love that energy,
- 52:22Speaker 2: I love that smile, and I love the fact that
- 52:24Speaker 2: he's ready to go at any time to get that
- 52:26Speaker 2: big at bat against the lefty for this team.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Crats, you're the star right now. So bet M jam
- 52:32Speaker 1: is all about you today. Me Yeah, I love that
- 52:38Speaker 1: good bet MGM futures. The tour continues that Phillies are
- 52:47Speaker 1: ten to one odds to win the World Series, not
- 52:49Speaker 1: to represent the National League, although either way that's probably
- 52:51Speaker 1: going to be the biggest hurdle for them. They couldn't
- 52:53Speaker 1: take down the Dodgers. But that's pretty good value for Philly.
- 52:58Speaker 2: This is this is one of my favorite values right
- 53:00Speaker 2: now for the World Series because maybe maybe I'm a
- 53:03Speaker 2: sucker for the double digit ten to one. If it
- 53:06Speaker 2: was nine to one, I might say, I don't know.
- 53:08Speaker 2: People are like, oh, it's only one hundred dollars, But
- 53:10Speaker 2: to me, I like the ten to one. I like
- 53:13Speaker 2: it because when the season starts, I think the Braves
- 53:16Speaker 2: could get off to a hot start. I think the
- 53:19Speaker 2: Phillies will be keeping with them, or they'll be a
- 53:21Speaker 2: little bit ahead. That number is only going to go down.
- 53:24Speaker 2: They're going to make another signing unless they miss out
- 53:27Speaker 2: on JT. Real Muto, and they don't, you know, they
- 53:30Speaker 2: don't get rid of Costianos's contract. Even if those things
- 53:32Speaker 2: don't happen, they're still gonna be a good team. I
- 53:34Speaker 2: don't see this going to eleven or twelve to one,
- 53:37Speaker 2: So I love it at ten to one, I really do.
- 53:39Speaker 2: And I don't see it moving very much because I
- 53:42Speaker 2: don't see them getting an Alex Bragman. I don't see
- 53:45Speaker 2: them getting a Kyle Tucker or Cody Bellinger. I just
- 53:49Speaker 2: see this as being where they're going to be. And
- 53:52Speaker 2: I think that the second best currently today, the second
- 53:55Speaker 2: best team in the National League, and the National League's
- 53:58Speaker 2: gonna win the World Series, so well why not. I
- 54:00Speaker 2: think the Dodgers are coming out at like plus three
- 54:04Speaker 2: point fifty. That might even be a little bit high,
- 54:06Speaker 2: it might be lower than yeah, And so to me,
- 54:11Speaker 2: I love that I'm getting seven to one on top
- 54:13Speaker 2: of what the Dodgers are getting, and they could have
- 54:15Speaker 2: they could have beaten them. They didn't, and that's the
- 54:17Speaker 2: beauty of the playoffs.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I thought they were by far the second best team
- 54:20Speaker 1: in the National league, and they just happened to run
- 54:23Speaker 1: in a short series and that team was better than them,
- 54:27Speaker 1: So that's what happened. BETMGM players will receive a Pro
- 54:30Speaker 1: Football same Game Parlay boost token in the betmgm app.
- 54:33Speaker 1: If you're signed up and you're all funded up, use

- 54:43Speaker 1: was made with that token, you get extra winnings. It's
- 54:45Speaker 1: that simple gambling problem or concerned, there is help called
- 54:49Speaker 1: one eight hundred gambler. Let's slap.
- 55:04Speaker 3: Hey.
- 55:05Speaker 1: Edwind Diaz in Spanish the other day said, it's going
- 55:08Speaker 1: to be incredible when the trumpets sound in Los Angeles.
- 55:12Speaker 1: It's going to be special. Think about it. He's bringing
- 55:15Speaker 1: that whole act out to LA. They're gonna love it.
- 55:18Speaker 1: It's fun. Have you seen that live? I mean the
- 55:21Speaker 1: closer entrances in general. If you've there's what probably three
- 55:25Speaker 1: to five that feel like their signature at this point,
- 55:28Speaker 1: you've got durantl out in Philly now coming over from Minnesota.
- 55:32Speaker 1: I know many of them have it, but there's a
- 55:33Speaker 1: few that stand out. This one is. This one is
- 55:36Speaker 1: up there. You want to have a mister Mett. You
- 55:39Speaker 1: want to have a Dodger, you know. I guess somebody
- 55:41Speaker 1: will be dancing, or the whole ballpark will be dancing.
- 55:44Speaker 1: But usually they have a whole act with like four
- 55:46Speaker 1: mascots over in Queens.
- 55:48Speaker 2: Don't need it, don't meet it in LA. And I'll
- 55:51Speaker 2: tell you why. Number one sound system in the entire game.
- 55:56Speaker 2: If there is some bass in Timmy trumpets, that system
- 56:01Speaker 2: will be rocking and that stadium. I don't care what
- 56:04Speaker 2: the fans situation is, if they're caught in traffic or not.
- 56:08Speaker 2: It is a game changer. I don't know why other
- 56:10Speaker 2: stadiums don't have the sound system. Maybe there's like regulations
- 56:13Speaker 2: or something. But yes, I love that he said this
- 56:17Speaker 2: in Trumpetos Incredibles. The incredible Trumpets is going to be
- 56:22Speaker 2: banging in LA.
- 56:24Speaker 1: And actually we just found out. I think it was
- 56:26Speaker 1: Ken that put it out there. He's got a conditional
- 56:28Speaker 1: option on his contract too. If you missed this certain
- 56:30Speaker 1: amount of time they get one more year in twenty
- 56:31Speaker 1: twenty nine for six and a half million bucks. That
- 56:33Speaker 1: that all came out today too, so we got all
- 56:35Speaker 1: the news in from a ridiculously busy weekend. You'll see
- 56:39Speaker 1: Trevor May, Jason Kidneys, Kevin Palan arcastic characters joining us
- 56:44Speaker 1: throughout the week here as the co host with Rats
- 56:47Speaker 1: and McNee. But right now, I actually think you guys
- 56:50Speaker 1: should check out Doctor Territory because Katie Woo's on there.
- 56:52Speaker 1: She's an insider nationally and she's of course now covering
- 56:56Speaker 1: the doctors on daily basis. So we'll flip you right
- 56:58Speaker 1: over there and we'll see tomorrow
