- 5:13Speaker 2: Oh, you have to teach I'll tell you steal my
- 5:17Speaker 2: thunder okay story. Sorry, I have to teach my neighbor
- 5:21Speaker 2: how to make a TikTok.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, you do.
- 5:25Speaker 4: You've met this neighbor. He's an older man.
- 5:27Speaker 5: Yeah, he seems intelligent. It's kind of surprising that he needs.
- 5:31Speaker 4: Help with this.
- 5:32Speaker 2: No, he wants me to help him make a TikTok
- 5:34Speaker 2: because he sells insurance.
- 5:37Speaker 4: And he was like.

- 6:06Speaker 4: how to make a TikTok. This is the thing.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Whenever you have to teach somebody to use social media
- 6:11Speaker 2: of the older generation, they listen to you and they
- 6:15Speaker 2: do the exact opposite of what you said.
- 6:17Speaker 3: They go rogue, they don't letting.
- 6:19Speaker 2: It's gonna make me mad because I must spend two
- 6:20Speaker 2: hours to day teaching them all my TikTok knowledge, and
- 6:23Speaker 2: he's not going to do anything.
- 6:24Speaker 1: That I told him.
- 6:25Speaker 4: To be fair, I know this already.
- 6:27Speaker 5: To be fair, We're going to get to that point,
- 6:29Speaker 5: but right now it is quite furiating to have to
- 6:33Speaker 5: deal with that too. JT is a good example. He
- 6:37Speaker 5: will get very upset whenever he can't get it.
- 6:40Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 6:41Speaker 2: I know, and I have to do that today, and

- 7:45Speaker 2: you are awesome.
- 7:46Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 7:47Speaker 4: Have you ever had to teach an older person how

- 7:52Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 7:54Speaker 3: What was it?
- 7:56Speaker 6: Just even like use a phone? Even my mom the teacher,
- 8:00Speaker 6: how to put her phone and do not disturb. We
- 8:03Speaker 6: just went on a troop together and we were in
- 8:05Speaker 6: Italy and so the time difference, Yeah, we were getting
- 8:09Speaker 6: like she was getting blown up all night and look
- 8:12Speaker 6: this up and I was like, put your phone and
- 8:14Speaker 6: do not disturb. And she's like, what does that mean?
- 8:18Speaker 4: You do not disturb? S? How to do that?
- 8:21Speaker 2: Did she figure out how to get it out of
- 8:22Speaker 2: do not disturbers?
- 8:24Speaker 4: It still on do not disturb.
- 8:27Speaker 6: I had to take it out and do not disturb
- 8:30Speaker 6: the next morning.
- 8:31Speaker 4: That's great. I love that. Thank you for sharing. She's
- 8:34Speaker 4: not even that old.
- 8:35Speaker 2: But look, I'm not even that old either, and I
- 8:38Speaker 2: have meltdowns over TikTok sometimes and make producer Blake fix it.
- 8:42Speaker 4: I'm like, do this. I can't handle it anymore.
- 8:45Speaker 3: This is true.
- 8:47Speaker 7: All right, Well, y'all, have a good day.

- 9:02Speaker 2: someone older learn how to do anything with technology, tell
- 9:06Speaker 2: me your story.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Good morning, Collette. Where are you calling from.
- 9:09Speaker 7: I'm calling from Kalira.
- 9:11Speaker 4: What are you doing today?
- 9:12Speaker 7: I'm going to work this morning.
- 9:14Speaker 1: What do you work?
- 9:14Speaker 4: What do you do?
- 9:15Speaker 7: I worked for Pradco, which is a hunting and fishing warehouse.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Is it like it's a warehouse, so is it open
- 9:21Speaker 2: to the general public?
- 9:23Speaker 4: No, ma'am.
- 9:23Speaker 7: We we send it to like Walmart and Academy and
- 9:28Speaker 7: places like that.
- 9:29Speaker 4: And that's super cool.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I didn't know we had one of those in town,
- 9:32Speaker 2: So that's cool. Have you ever had to help an
- 9:35Speaker 2: older person with technology, like teach him how to do
- 9:38Speaker 2: something that drove you nuts, like your grandma how to
- 9:40Speaker 2: use iPhone or anything.
- 9:42Speaker 7: No, I think people have to teach me. That's my
- 9:47Speaker 7: android person who just taught you how to use stuff?
- 9:51Speaker 7: My son?
- 9:52Speaker 4: What did he have to teach you how to do?
- 9:54Speaker 2: Oh?
- 9:55Speaker 7: Just a few things, you know, because he is an
- 9:57Speaker 7: iPhone person. But I'm not okay all the time. I'm
- 10:00Speaker 7: never going to get an iPhone.
- 10:01Speaker 1: Girl.
- 10:02Speaker 2: See I was raised on iPhone, So me trying to
- 10:05Speaker 2: figure out how to use somebody's Android is so confusing.
- 10:08Speaker 7: Oh, me, trying to use the iPhone is confusing to me.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Well, thank you for calling.
- 10:14Speaker 7: Oh, thank you so much.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Eight three T five A one BAMA is the number
- 10:17Speaker 2: to call if you have a story. Andrew, good morning.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Have you ever had to help an older person learn
- 10:21Speaker 2: how to do something?
- 10:22Speaker 4: Yes?
- 10:23Speaker 6: I had to go set up one of my buddies
- 10:26Speaker 6: grandparents Roku TVs?
- 10:28Speaker 4: How did that go? Because they never know how to
- 10:31Speaker 4: use it? Two hours?
- 10:33Speaker 1: Man?
- 10:34Speaker 4: Me, mall.
- 10:34Speaker 2: One time I put Netflix on my grandmother's TV and
- 10:37Speaker 2: you would have thought it was the end of the world.
- 10:39Speaker 2: She wouldn't use the TV for a month because she
- 10:41Speaker 2: couldn't figure out how to put it on regular TV.
- 10:44Speaker 8: Oh yeah, And I had to explain to him. I'm like,
- 10:46Speaker 8: this is the remote for the TV and all the functions.
- 10:49Speaker 8: He's like, no, there's not enough buttons.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Are you kidding?
- 10:53Speaker 4: Does he still use the reccuoy?
- 10:55Speaker 6: He refused, He's like, this is the DVD player.
- 10:57Speaker 4: No, we don't have DVD anymore.
- 11:01Speaker 1: There's three things you need to know with the ELMA.
- 11:05Speaker 2: There is a very popular Mexican dessert food truck in
- 11:08Speaker 2: Birmingham that people love that have been around for years. Now,
- 11:11Speaker 2: they're trading in their wheels for an actual shop in
- 11:14Speaker 2: Pizzit's Food Hall. It is called see if I can
- 11:18Speaker 2: say this correct more Lomore Leana.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Yeah, Lomore Leana Bakery.
- 11:23Speaker 2: So they have flawing chiro cheesecake slices, caramel filled chiros
- 11:28Speaker 2: and so much more. So if you want to try
- 11:29Speaker 2: it out, they're moving to Posit's Food Hall. Zahara Joey,
- 11:33Speaker 2: Angelina Jolie's daughter graduated from college over the weekend. She
- 11:37Speaker 2: used the name Zahara Jolie she took off the pit.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Brad Pitt was also not there. He has been estranged
- 11:43Speaker 2: from the kids since his split with Angelina. Angelina was
- 11:47Speaker 2: at the ceremony. This happened at Spelman College in Atlanta.
- 11:50Speaker 2: I didn't realize that Zahara was so close to us,
- 11:53Speaker 2: Tmz says Brad didn't even reach out. Angelina, if you remember,
- 11:57Speaker 2: adopted Zahara in two thousand and five, and then Brad
- 12:00Speaker 2: Pit legally adopted Sahara and Maddox in two thousand and six.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Maddox has also dropped Pitt from his name, and so
- 12:06Speaker 2: have two of Brad's biological children, Shiloh and Vivian.
- 12:10Speaker 4: I want to know what happened. I want to know
- 12:12Speaker 4: what's going on there.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Southwest Airlines has banned humanoid and animal shaped robots from flights.
- 12:21Speaker 3: Was this like a common occurrence?
- 12:23Speaker 2: They're banned from the cabins and checked baggage After a
- 12:26Speaker 2: viral incident involving a three and a half foot robot
- 12:29Speaker 2: named Stewie. A man bought a seat for a robot
- 12:32Speaker 2: on a Vegas to Dallas flight where Stewe the robot,
- 12:34Speaker 2: walked through terminals and then crew members had to relocate
- 12:39Speaker 2: the robot mid flight and disconnect its battery. And the
- 12:42Speaker 2: airline says that the problem is lithium iron fire risk
- 12:47Speaker 2: from past battery incidences which have caused emergency landings, but
- 12:51Speaker 2: the owner of Stewie, who also leases robots for events,
- 12:54Speaker 2: says this is a terrible reason because robots basically use
- 12:58Speaker 2: the same battery as laptops.
- 13:00Speaker 3: That is true, lithium ion comes in almost everything.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Now we are getting to a point, and this is freaky.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I think we're moving way too far into the future
- 13:09Speaker 2: that there's going to be a point, right now for
- 13:11Speaker 2: robot rights not This is a movie that I've seen
- 13:15Speaker 2: and I don't know how we got here.
- 13:16Speaker 4: I don't like it.
- 13:17Speaker 2: That's three things you need to know. More at the
- 13:20Speaker 2: Alabama Show dot com.
- 13:22Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on to Men free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Here's some good news straight out of Memphis.
- 13:28Speaker 3: All right, hit me with the Memphis News.
- 13:30Speaker 2: By the way, if you ever have a good news
- 13:33Speaker 2: story that you want to share, call the show eight
- 13:35Speaker 2: three three five oh.
- 13:36Speaker 4: One, Bama.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It could be something huge, like you got a raise
- 13:40Speaker 2: or a new job, or it could be something as
- 13:42Speaker 2: simple as your husband put the toilet seat down, because
- 13:44Speaker 2: that is also something to celebrate. But a new youth
- 13:48Speaker 2: mental health center is going to be opening June first
- 13:51Speaker 2: in Memphis, so about two weeks away, less than two
- 13:53Speaker 2: weeks away.
- 13:54Speaker 3: I love that. That's a really good.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Idea, absolutely, especially for younger kids. So it's sit it's
- 14:00Speaker 2: directly across Malcolm Street from Alliances Adult twenty four to
- 14:03Speaker 2: seven Crisis Wellness Center on Broad Avenue. This is a
- 14:07Speaker 2: brand new, state of the art children and youth wellness
- 14:10Speaker 2: center and they are going to serve kids ages four
- 14:12Speaker 2: to seventeen. So we're in a mental health crisis all
- 14:15Speaker 2: across America. And this is what's awesome when we come
- 14:19Speaker 2: up with ways to help, when their solutions instead of problems.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Yeah, started early, nail it out early.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that is that's your good news. But if you

- 14:30Speaker 4: To hear from you. Eight three three five oh one, Bama.
- 14:33Speaker 4: Is the number the Alabama.
- 14:34Speaker 6: Show on to me.
- 14:35Speaker 1: It's free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Here's a good news story coming straight out of Tuscaloosa.
- 14:41Speaker 3: All right, what is it?
- 14:42Speaker 2: And if you have good news call the show eight
- 14:44Speaker 2: three three five oh one Bama. There was a house
- 14:47Speaker 2: built by Habitat for Humanity dedicated to a mother, Raquel,
- 14:53Speaker 2: but it was built only by women.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, which is cool.
- 14:57Speaker 2: Because normally like men help build the house. But they
- 15:00Speaker 2: did a project where more than two hundred women, including
- 15:04Speaker 2: Raquel who got the house, helped build the home only
- 15:08Speaker 2: by women, just to show that women can do it.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's I love that they're showing it. I've always
- 15:15Speaker 5: been a fan of Habitat for Humanity and they're always doing.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Stuff like that.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think it's cool because a lot of
- 15:19Speaker 2: women like like, I'm a single girl that lives at
- 15:22Speaker 2: home without a guy, and I panic when stuff breaks
- 15:24Speaker 2: at the house. I'm like, oh no, what do I do?
- 15:26Speaker 2: I can't fix it. So she said this was awesome
- 15:29Speaker 2: too because she has girls and it lets them know
- 15:31Speaker 2: that women can do anything. So I Habitat for Humanity
- 15:35Speaker 2: is super cool. They started the project in November, but
- 15:38Speaker 2: now she finally got to move into the home. So
- 15:41Speaker 2: that's what's awesome. If you have good news you want
- 15:43Speaker 2: to share, call in eight three three five oh one,
- 15:46Speaker 2: Bama is the number you.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I'm never going out to eat with producer Blake over

- 16:07Speaker 5: I get there, we've got like a little over an
- 16:10Speaker 5: hour before the restaurant closes, and the waitress is.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Just not good.
- 16:15Speaker 4: What kind of restaurant?
- 16:17Speaker 5: It was an Italian restaurant. And I'm not gonna say it,
- 16:21Speaker 5: but I was a little upset that when I got there,
- 16:25Speaker 5: they were like, okay, what would you like to eat?
- 16:27Speaker 5: I'm like, okay, this is what I want, exactly like this.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I'm not even asking for anything.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Crazy.
- 16:31Speaker 2: What time were you there? If it was an hour
- 16:33Speaker 2: before they closed nine o'clock?
- 16:35Speaker 3: No, it was like six point thirty. They closed early.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Okay, they're closing early, all right, say put in.
- 16:41Speaker 3: Your food order?
- 16:42Speaker 5: Yeah, And I get my drink and I'm sitting there
- 16:45Speaker 5: and they don't come back and get my drink again
- 16:49Speaker 5: until they bring the food out, which is an hour
- 16:51Speaker 5: after I ordered my food.
- 16:53Speaker 4: What'd you order? A steak?
- 16:54Speaker 6: No?
- 16:55Speaker 3: A pizza?
- 16:56Speaker 4: Okay?
- 16:57Speaker 5: And I was like, okay, it shouldn't take more than
- 16:59Speaker 5: fifteen twenty men to cook a pizza.
- 17:01Speaker 3: I was wrong. And so I'm sitting there waiting and
- 17:05Speaker 3: the lady does not show back up. I don't see
- 17:07Speaker 3: her the rest of the time.
- 17:08Speaker 5: You showed up at closing time. She's to go home
- 17:11Speaker 5: an hour and something before. You should not be that
- 17:14Speaker 5: ready to get And then what happened? So I'm sitting
- 17:16Speaker 5: there and she comes back out. She goes, would you
- 17:18Speaker 5: like anything else? I go, yeah, can I have some water?
- 17:23Speaker 5: And I'll take it to go box because no way,
- 17:26Speaker 5: I'm going to eat this before y'all close. She goes, yeah,
- 17:31Speaker 5: I guess, give me a second, walks off. I don't
- 17:33Speaker 5: see her again until all the tables are busted.
- 17:36Speaker 3: Okay, all of them are gone.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Bus bus okay yeah, bus yeah yeah, not busted bust?
- 17:43Speaker 3: What's say?
- 17:45Speaker 4: I don't okay anyway, So what happened? So what?
- 17:49Speaker 3: So I decide?
- 17:51Speaker 4: Do I tip her.
- 17:52Speaker 3: Or do I not tip her?
- 17:54Speaker 7: Did you?
- 17:55Speaker 3: I tipped her three percent?
- 17:57Speaker 4: How much?
- 17:58Speaker 2: How much was that? How many dollars? How many dollars
- 18:02Speaker 2: did you tip her?
- 18:03Speaker 3: I tipped her.
- 18:06Speaker 2: It's a dollar, little brad left if i'd give a
- 18:11Speaker 2: bad tip, I was a server. I give a three
- 18:14Speaker 2: dollar tip as a bad tip because there was a
- 18:16Speaker 2: lady hitting on a guy I was on a date
- 18:18Speaker 2: with in front of me one time, and I went,
- 18:21Speaker 2: I'm going to pay for this. You let me pay
- 18:23Speaker 2: for this, And I tipped her three dollars on a
- 18:25Speaker 2: seventy dollars bill.
- 18:27Speaker 3: No, you don't tip anything if they're bad.
- 18:30Speaker 4: That's how they live. You were a bad customer, You
- 18:33Speaker 4: shut up right before they closed.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Doesn't an hour or something before go?
- 18:39Speaker 4: What are you talking about? Like you're being over dramatic.
- 18:41Speaker 5: To me, it sounds like you're not being dramatic enough.
- 18:45Speaker 5: You don't tip bad service. I still tipped more than
- 18:48Speaker 5: I should have. Shouldn't have tipped anything, but they didn't
- 18:52Speaker 5: show up at all.
- 18:53Speaker 3: They were not a good.
- 18:54Speaker 4: Server called the chef. Do you do this when you
- 18:57Speaker 4: come out to eat? Have you ever had a bad server?
- 18:59Speaker 4: Do you still tip them? What'd you do? Eight three
- 19:02Speaker 4: three five I one Bama is the number?
