  So far we've helped announce most of the line up after the

  Volume who is putting this show on with through his super cool

  booking business and he's been a great partner.

  As of now, it looks like we're going to come out there and

  cover the festival and maybe do some fun and cool things in the

  desert with a little team of ours.

  inaugural festival, Stoner rock, psychedelic rock, Stoner doom,

  all taking place in the desert in the spirit of the original

  Generator shows that gave us bands like Queens of the Stone

  Age and Caius and so many others.

  I'm really excited very few times.

  You know, as far as our brand is concerned, we're in business for
• 5:10
  13 years as of this month, and I have been a part of Ghost Cult
• 5:13
  for 12 1/2. And for our brand, we don't
• 5:17
  endorse anything we don't support actually like something
• 5:20
  we were not down with, people we would not deal with, like we
• 5:25
  wouldn't do that. We don't support festivals with
• 5:27
  sketchy bands. We don't cover people who are
• 5:30
  below the board in terms of business.

  As much as possible we try to have those ideals.

  It's hard. I have worked in the corporate
• 5:37
  world where you have to work for, you know, work on something
• 5:40
  that you are later not proud you did.
• 5:42
  So I don't want to live like that.

  When it comes to our music brand goes called Eric what up.

  So, you know, first bunch of announcements included San
• 5:55
  Francisco's home Dead Meadow. You know, such a huge and
• 5:59
  inspirational band, Earthless this is.

  If you've ever seen Earthless in concert, you know that their
• 6:04
  shows are mind blowing with the liquid light show and just the
• 6:08
  great instrumental Stoner rock chantage.
• 6:11
  And of course people know Isaiah Mitchell is now a member of
• 6:15
  Black Crows. But you know, Earthless is still
• 6:18
  his baby or one of his babies. We've interviewed the band
• 6:21
  before. We announced John Garcia and his
• 6:24
  band. John has been on tour this year,
• 6:26
  playing stuff from across his whole career.

  Caius and Sloburn and Yumita and his solo stuff.
• 6:33
  This is just magical. Super excited.

  They're playing here this week in San Francisco.

  Not sure I'm going to be there for it because I'll be out of

  town, but I rarely miss them. I rarely miss them.

  I love this fan so much. And then last week we announced

  Mario Lally and the Rubber Snake Charmers.

  You know, Mario is a foundational member of this

  music and this scene and this is like a super group And you know,

  they're they put a live album out earlier this year.

  We helped debut the first song late last year, early this year.

  And you know, super stoked on that.

  And then of course, ecstatic vision, who we also love and
• 7:36
  have seen and covered a bunch of times.

  again, just stoked and honored to be partnering with this

  Mojave Experience. And I'm I just can't.

  Again, it's like if these weren't all bands that I
• 8:27
  absolutely love and have seen live and interviewed in most
• 8:30
  cases and hung out with, I still would be honored and excited.

  But I'm even more so excited to know that these are great
• 8:36
  people. Not just great bands, but great
• 8:39
  people. Hippie Death Cult is your first
• 8:42
  new band announced today. Incredible 3 piece band.
• 8:45
  They have a live album out right now Live from the Star Theatre.
• 8:50
  New live album out on Heavy Psych Sounds again.
• 8:52
  I cannot say enough good things about that label.
• 8:54
  And also if you're interested, they are part of a very unique
• 8:58
  and special Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here 50th anniversary album

  in which they covered Shine On You Crazy Diamond.

  Like most of the whole suite. Having had a Pink Floyd tribute
• 9:09
  band, Pink Floyd is my favorite band ever.

  As metal as I am, I love Pink Floyd, they're my favorite and
• 9:15
  they did absolute justice to Shine on You Crazy Diamond.

  Not an easy song to cover. I've done it and raised.

  If you've covered it live, I have.
• 9:22
  It's really hard. So you know I can't say enough
• 9:25
  good things about hippie death cult great people.
• 9:27
  I know they had some medical issues earlier in the fall and
• 9:30
  canceled a few shows, but they've been now ramping up and
• 9:33
  announcing more gigs and more festivals.
• 9:37
  So I'm really stoked that they're a part of this.
• 9:39
  This would be a huge draw. If you're not familiar with this
• 9:42
  band, as I love to say, get acquainted and then Yawning Man
• 9:47
  again, you're seeing a lot of crossover bands on this line up.

  The potential that just have the Hangouts just to see these folks
• 9:56
  in person. Yawning Man is is a band that
• 9:59
  has almost like not single handedly, but one of the
• 10:04
  foundational Mount Rushmore bands of this scene.

  If you put them up there, I would I would respect it
• 10:10
  immensely. So I mean, these are huge genre
• 10:15
  defining bands and I feel like it'd be difficult to ban.

  We're going to be talking about it in 10 more years.

  Like, Oh my God, they've been around for 1520 years and they
• 10:23
  are one of the best bands to ever do it.

  And I really believe that. But Yawning Man is incredible.

  So you're already seeing like a little bit of crossover from
• 10:31
  some of the artists here. Who knows what else will be
• 10:34
  announced? Who knows what's possible when
• 10:36
  you have all these incredible artists together in one place
• 10:39
  out in the desert. I've already been looking out to
• 10:43
  accommodations, never been out to Joshua Tree.

  It feels like a pilgrimage that I should make.
