Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We talked about this a couple hours ago, but you know,
- 0:02Speaker 1: brand new audience, maybe you missed it. And you did
- 0:04Speaker 1: this story, and I love it. How long has cereal
- 0:06Speaker 1: been around?
- 0:07Speaker 2: 163 years?
- 0:07Speaker 1: Yes.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Something like that?
- 0:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 0:10Speaker 2: And they finally came up with this.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Yep. Cheerios is finally fixing one of breakfast's most annoying problems,
- 0:16Speaker 1: that impossible-to-close cereal bag. General Mills has teamed up with
- 0:20Speaker 1: Ziploc to create a new resealable bag inside traditional Cheerio boxes.
- 0:26Speaker 1: The zipper-style seal creates a built-in Pour a spout, and
- 0:30Speaker 1: it's designed to keep cereal fresher, longer, without the usual folding, rolling,
- 0:35Speaker 1: and flipping.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yes. This, I mean, again, why so long to come
- 0:39Speaker 2: up with this? Why did it take so long? Why?
- 0:41Speaker 2: But it's brilliant. They should do every cereal like this.
- 0:43Speaker 3: I know. I hope they do. I hope this starts
- 0:45Speaker 3: a trend.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Wow. All right. Anyway, we did that.
- 0:47Speaker 1: That was part of our cool things. We do that
- 0:49Speaker 1: every morning at 625. We give you fun facts and
- 0:51Speaker 1: fun information. And this actually would qualify as a cool thing.
- 0:55Speaker 1: if we were doing it at 625 tomorrow.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Definitely think so. Congratulations to Carol Fair. Who is Carol Fair?
- 1:03Speaker 3: She is a Charlotte-based flight attendant who has just retired
- 1:07Speaker 3: after 63 years on the job.
- 1:09Speaker 2: That is a long time.
- 1:11Speaker 3: She received a warm welcome from co-workers, family, and friends
- 1:14Speaker 3: when she arrived at Charlotte Douglas International Airport from London
- 1:18Speaker 3: on Monday. So she did an international flight.
- 1:20Speaker 2: They played bingo the whole flight.
- 1:21Speaker 3: That was her final flight. She began her career in
- 1:25Speaker 3: 1963 with Piedmont Airlines.
- 1:28Speaker 2: I used to fly at Piedmont. Do you remember Piedmont?
- 1:31Speaker 3: No.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:33Speaker 3: You seriously know?
- 1:34Speaker 2: The first time I ever flew, 81.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Oh, my goodness. I don't even remember them.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Piedmont and Eastern Airlines were the two big ones. Wow.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Yeah. So, well, she retires as American Airlines' most senior
- 1:44Speaker 3: flight attendant. She's a Tennessee native, inducted into both the
- 1:48Speaker 3: Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame and the North Carolina Transportation
- 1:52Speaker 3: Hall of Fame. And she plans on volunteering with the
- 1:54Speaker 3: VA during retirement.
- 1:56Speaker 1: What kind of cute jokes can you make about a
- 1:57Speaker 1: flight attendant being 83?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Besides the bingo being played on the plane? Did the
- 2:02Speaker 2: plane land at 4 o'clock and they had dinner?
- 2:04Speaker 3: In time for dinner. In time for the blue plate special.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Was Jeopardy shown the whole time? And Wheel of Fortune?
- 2:10Speaker 3: Basically, you just laid out my life, yes.
- 2:13Speaker 1: All right, let's switch gears and give something away. We're
- 2:15Speaker 1: looking for caller 10.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It is spooky season. 106.7 Light FM is teaming up
- 2:21Speaker 3: with MJ the Musical to send you to see MJ
- 2:25Speaker 3: on Halloween. All the hits, all the moves. It's the
- 2:28Speaker 3: hottest show on Broadway. And that is like the night
- 2:31Speaker 3: to see it.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You're going to see Thriller on Halloween night. Unbelievable.
- 2:35Speaker 1: You can buy tickets at MJ the Musical dot com,
- 2:37Speaker 1: MJ the Musical dot com or just call us.
- 2:39Speaker 2: We're looking for caller.
- 2:40Speaker 1: Let's do caller 31 because October 31st.
- 2:45Speaker 2: As Kristen gives me a side eye.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Well, Kristen looks very happy.
- 2:47Speaker 2: 31's not that far off the 10.
- 2:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it is.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Hey, at least we're not doing Caller 100 like back
- 2:52Speaker 2: in the day. Oh. That took forever. Yeah, it did.
- 2:56Speaker 2: All right, Caller 31, you're checking MJ the Musical. Is
- 2:59Speaker 2: that it? Did we get all the copy in?
- 3:01Speaker 3: I mean, you're going to, like you said, see a
- 3:02Speaker 3: very special performance of Thriller on Halloween.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Give you goosebumps.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 3:06Speaker 3: 1-800-222-1067. Good luck.
