- 0:01Speaker 1: Big 98.7.
- 0:01Speaker 2: There is something out in this universe called cougar math.
- 0:07Speaker 3: No!
- 0:15Speaker 4: You better believe it, okay?
- 0:17Speaker 5: Thanks for that, by the way.
- 0:19Speaker 6: I could not have been more ready to fire that up.
- 0:20Speaker 5: Gosh, you were so excited.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Megan is our resident cougar, so you gotta teach us
- 0:25Speaker 1: this cougar math.
- 0:26Speaker 7: Okay, I didn't know about cougar math until like a
- 0:29Speaker 7: couple days ago.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Oh, so you were just free cougaring without the math.
- 0:33Speaker 7: I was trying to figure out my cougar era because
- 0:36Speaker 7: I'm in it now, right? But when I think I
- 0:39Speaker 7: was like 28... It was the first time I ever
- 0:41Speaker 7: got called a cougar.
- 0:42Speaker 5: And I'm like, no, no, no. You're not a cougar
- 0:44Speaker 5: until you're in your forties.
- 0:45Speaker 7: Yes.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:46Speaker 7: So I am now in my forties. So I am
- 0:50Speaker 7: full on in my cougar era.
- 0:52Speaker 5: If I choose to be.
- 0:53Speaker 6: Okay.
- 0:54Speaker 8: Well, hold on.
- 0:56Speaker 6: That was for you.
- 0:57Speaker 5: I'm single. I can date younger guys. I have young
- 1:00Speaker 5: guys sliding into my DMS a little too more than
- 1:04Speaker 5: I would even ever fathom.
- 1:06Speaker 4: I love this for you.
- 1:07Speaker 5: So, but, Here has been my question for a little while.
- 1:10Speaker 7: Like, when is it like what's the socially socially acceptable
- 1:15Speaker 7: younger man age?
- 1:17Speaker 6: OK.
- 1:18Speaker 5: And so the other day, scrolling through.
- 1:20Speaker 7: Social media, which we do, there is somebody who there's
- 1:23Speaker 7: a few people who know cougar math. So what you
- 1:26Speaker 7: do is you take your age, you divide it by two,
- 1:30Speaker 7: you add seven.
- 1:32Speaker 5: And that's the youngest you're socially allowed to date. Oh, okay.
- 1:36Speaker 4: So what would be your age that you can date?
- 1:39Speaker 5: So I figured this out.
- 1:40Speaker 7: By the way, I used a calculator because I am
- 1:42Speaker 7: bad at math, even quicker math. I'm 45 divided by two,
- 1:48Speaker 7: added seven, 29 and a half.
- 1:50Speaker 5: That's a socially acceptable allowed age.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Age.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Oh, I don't like it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: I feel like you should be dating 25 year olds.
- 1:57Speaker 6: Don't tell.
- 1:58Speaker 7: I have a 28 year old who just DM me
- 2:01Speaker 7: not too long ago. 27 year old, a 29 year old.
- 2:03Speaker 5: Okay.
- 2:04Speaker 3: 20.
- 2:04Speaker 4: I think you should be able to date them all.
- 2:06Speaker 6: Put them all on the roster. Thanks.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 5: I don't know if we should be. Oh, encouraging that.
- 2:15Speaker 5: But now I know cougar math and I'm feeling a
- 2:17Speaker 5: little bit better.
- 2:18Speaker 1: I feel like the cougar math is flawed, actually. I
- 2:20Speaker 1: think you need to come up with a new theorem.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Just divide by two?
- 2:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 6: It's your age divided by two plus seven?
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I'm trying to figure.
- 2:29Speaker 4: I think it should be like plus five plus five.
- 2:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Plus five instead of plus seven. So they can still
- 2:35Speaker 1: be a little younger for ladies.
- 2:37Speaker 8: It could be plus five for dudes. Do plus 10.
- 2:41Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:42Speaker 8: Plus 10. So I would mine would be 27.
- 2:46Speaker 6: I think that'd be mine.
- 2:47Speaker 5: Twenty seven and a half. If I went by your.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yes.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I like that. I like that. OK, well, my man.
- 2:54Speaker 4: So he's not a cougar.
- 2:56Speaker 1: He's a.
- 2:57Speaker 6: He's a salmon.
- 2:57Speaker 4: He's a salmon?
- 2:59Speaker 5: I've never heard that.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Do the math for me, someone. He's 60.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 3:04Speaker 4: And then half of that is 30. And then plus seven. Oh, man.
- 3:10Speaker 1: We don't even have a hot age gap because I'm 39.
- 3:13Speaker 5: But he's a guy, so he's supposed to add 10.
- 3:17Speaker 4: Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Thank you, Gabe, for that. Okay,
- 3:21Speaker 4: so now it's a hot age gap again.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Yay.
- 3:23Speaker 6: You're fine.
- 3:24Speaker 5: You're good. Okay. This dating math is a whole new thing.
- 3:28Speaker 6: I can't wait till July 3rd.
- 3:29Speaker 8: Angie's birthday comes in here and she's just having the
- 3:32Speaker 8: worst day ever.
- 3:33Speaker 4: No, that's true. I did tell him.
- 3:35Speaker 1: I said, once I turn 40, it's not going to
- 3:37Speaker 1: be hot that your girlfriend's in her 40s.
- 3:44Speaker 3: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 3:49Speaker 3: Big 98.7.
- 3:50Speaker 6: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:53Speaker 6: plastic jar. Bust it out whenever someone's acting hard.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Share your little victories with us at 701-280-1987. Kids, I
- 3:59Speaker 3: also needed a win that day.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Megan, light us up. Do you have a little victory here?
- 4:07Speaker 7: You know, I feel like I was a good dog
- 4:09Speaker 7: mom yesterday. I remembered that Mozzie's birthday was yesterday. He
- 4:13Speaker 7: was four. I did all the things for him because
- 4:17Speaker 7: he's a spoiled dog.
- 4:19Speaker 5: They all are. And I feel like if you're.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Going to have a dog, you should spoil them.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Right.
- 4:24Speaker 5: They're only here for so long.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:25Speaker 5: So you need to do all the things for him.
- 4:27Speaker 7: So he got like all the treats from I went
- 4:30Speaker 7: to my favorite pet store, which used to be blocks away.
- 4:34Speaker 5: I found out moved to 45th Street.
- 4:37Speaker 7: So I found it yesterday and made the stop, got
- 4:40Speaker 7: all of the things from including.
- 4:42Speaker 5: There's pup ice cream.
- 4:45Speaker 7: That I had never tried before, but it's basically, I mean,
- 4:48Speaker 7: it comes in powder form, and then you add water
- 4:50Speaker 7: and freeze it. And that was something that we had
- 4:52Speaker 7: with a little bit of dog.
- 4:54Speaker 5: Cake as well.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 4:56Speaker 6: What a beautiful moment.
- 4:56Speaker 4: Mozzie's living the life.
- 4:58Speaker 7: And so is Nala, obviously, because you can't give one
- 5:01Speaker 7: dog and not the other.
- 5:02Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, that's true. Because it's not fair.
- 5:05Speaker 5: And she's sassy. She'd try to steal Mozzie's anyways.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 6: I love this.
- 5:10Speaker 8: It's a dog's birthday. I suppose you could do two
- 5:12Speaker 8: of them, right? Like the day they were born and
- 5:14Speaker 8: then the day you got them. Is there like a
- 5:16Speaker 8: gotcha day?
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah, the gotcha day is coming up on December 5th.
- 5:20Speaker 4: The gotcha day is Gabe's birthday.
- 5:23Speaker 6: Really?
- 5:24Speaker 4: Yeah, December 5th.
- 5:25Speaker 6: That's actually very beautiful.
- 5:29Speaker 8: I could not be more thrilled to share a day
- 5:30Speaker 8: with a dog.
- 5:31Speaker 5: I feel like you just got a little victory again today.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I know.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I'm off and running this morning.
- 5:36Speaker 5: This is a good day for you. And what about you?
- 5:38Speaker 5: What's your little victory?
- 5:39Speaker 1: So remember how I was like sick for a week
- 5:43Speaker 1: and just wasn't at work? Then I came back to work,
- 5:46Speaker 1: but I feel like you can hear I'm a little
- 5:48Speaker 1: nasally-er than normal. And that's because I just have had
- 5:53Speaker 1: a sinus infection, but I didn't go... I'm one of
- 5:57Speaker 1: those people that will not go to the doctor until...
- 6:00Speaker 1: Like I'm actually dying.
- 6:01Speaker 6: And then it's usually too late.
- 6:02Speaker 1: And then it's too late. But finally, I was like,
- 6:05Speaker 1: let me go get this taken care of. So I'm
- 6:07Speaker 1: hopped up on amoxicillin and prednisone. Yes, right. I'm taking
- 6:12Speaker 1: care of the sinus infection finally. And I'm already, even
- 6:15Speaker 1: though I'm still sounding pretty nasal, I'm already feeling much better.
- 6:20Speaker 1: Can you breathe better? Yes, I can breathe, which is great.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Important to live.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Also, prednisone, that steroid, like whenever I've had it for
- 6:30Speaker 7: sinus infections, do you feel like you can do anything
- 6:33Speaker 7: and everything?
- 6:34Speaker 5: Because I get all the energy.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 6:35Speaker 4: I'm going to go bench press some conference chairs.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I can't wait.
- 6:38Speaker 6: Because I can.
- 6:40Speaker 7: Perfect.
- 6:40Speaker 6: I love this. A drugged up Angie show today.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Yes.
- 6:45Speaker 4: What about you, Gabe? What's your little victory?
- 6:47Speaker 8: I had this adorable moment. And I promise I don't
- 6:50Speaker 8: try to make all little victories about Kaylee.
- 6:52Speaker 5: It's okay if you do.
- 6:53Speaker 8: I had this adorable moment with my daughter. There's a
- 6:56Speaker 8: song that I have texted the person who is in
- 6:58Speaker 8: charge of the songs here on Big 98.7 saying we
- 7:01Speaker 8: might need to add this song. But there is a
- 7:04Speaker 8: song from Jamie Miller called Baby Doll, right? And it
- 7:08Speaker 8: has one of the actors from Off Campus singing.
- 7:11Speaker 5: On it.
- 7:11Speaker 4: Oh, which one?
- 7:13Speaker 6: The kind of sad guy one. I don't know. The
- 7:17Speaker 6: one with the main.
- 7:18Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 7:19Speaker 6: His friend. OK. I can't remember his name, but other
- 7:23Speaker 6: hot guy.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Got it.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 8: Perfect.
- 7:25Speaker 6: The Antonio C. Priano. I don't know his last name.
- 7:30Speaker 6: The Italian gentleman.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:31Speaker 8: Yes.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Yep.
- 7:32Speaker 6: Very, very fun. Happy song.
- 7:34Speaker 8: And I had a little bit of a dance with
- 7:36Speaker 8: my daughter in our living room yesterday that my wife
- 7:39Speaker 8: caught on video. And it'll be very funny to embarrass
- 7:41Speaker 8: her with that at her wedding day. in hopefully 70
- 7:44Speaker 8: years no.
- 7:45Speaker 5: That's going to make her cry yeah it might.
- 7:48Speaker 8: Yeah but it was 30 it was very fun that's
- 7:50Speaker 8: kind of my new jam i've been playing it a
- 7:52Speaker 8: lot in the past like.
- 7:53Speaker 1: A couple of days jamming out to it in the
- 7:56Speaker 1: car yesterday like you and i were driving near each
- 7:59Speaker 1: other and if i had to guess based on your
- 8:02Speaker 1: movements yeah it was.
- 8:03Speaker 6: That song yeah i'm a car dancer i'm not afraid
- 8:06Speaker 6: to bust a move in there I need to hear
- 8:08Speaker 6: this song now. Yeah, I'll get it. We'll get it
- 8:09Speaker 6: for you.
- 8:10Speaker 8: Hopefully it gets on Big 98.7 soon. I did text
- 8:12Speaker 8: the person in charge of that and we'll see what
- 8:14Speaker 8: happens there.
- 8:17Speaker 3: In the world of rules and gray areas, one morning
- 8:19Speaker 3: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 8:21Speaker 6: Is it legal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 8:24Speaker 6: Is it legal? I understand it's funny as all get out,
- 8:28Speaker 6: but is it even legal? On Big 98.7.
- 8:32Speaker 8: One of my favorite things about is it legal is
- 8:35Speaker 8: I don't tell Angie or Megan the answer before we
- 8:38Speaker 8: go on here. So we're really going to find out
- 8:39Speaker 8: if Megan was breaking the law.
- 8:41Speaker 6: There's a lot of law breakers in here.
- 8:43Speaker 5: Can't wait to find out.
- 8:44Speaker 6: Is it legal to eat while driving in North Dakota
- 8:47Speaker 6: and or Minnesota? Well, the good news is.
- 8:49Speaker 8: Yes, neither state has a law that bans eating behind
- 8:53Speaker 8: the wheel.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yay!
- 8:54Speaker 6: Yeah, that breakfast.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Burrito you're hawking down in that school drop-off line, perfectly legal.
- 9:00Speaker 8: Your dignity, probably not intact, but that's fine. Here is
- 9:04Speaker 8: the catch, though. There is always sort of a but.
- 9:06Speaker 6: There's always a but.
- 9:07Speaker 8: Yep. If that burrito makes you swerve, speed, or drift
- 9:11Speaker 8: out of your lane, you can definitely get pulled over
- 9:13Speaker 8: for careless or reckless driving or even distracted driving.
- 9:17Speaker 6: So technically, you can eat in your car.
- 9:20Speaker 8: You just can't try to fight off that rogue drip
- 9:23Speaker 8: of ranch.
- 9:24Speaker 4: Okay.
- 9:25Speaker 7: All right.
- 9:25Speaker 6: It's just got to fall in the lap.
- 9:27Speaker 8: In Minnesota, an officer can't pull you over for just
- 9:31Speaker 8: holding a sandwich either as long as you're driving normally.
- 9:34Speaker 8: So as long as you can keep it between the
- 9:36Speaker 8: lanes or keep it between the ditches, you can eat
- 9:39Speaker 8: to your heart's pleasure.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Then I'm really impressed at the fact that, Megan, you
- 9:42Speaker 1: were quite literally eating a bowl of spaghetti on your drive.
- 9:46Speaker 5: That's what I had for leftovers. And I was like,
- 9:48Speaker 5: I'm hungry.
- 9:49Speaker 7: And I only had between going, letting the dogs out
- 9:52Speaker 7: and come back to work to eat. So I was like, OK,
- 9:55Speaker 7: I'm telling you, the most impressive part, though, is that
- 9:57Speaker 7: I didn't get an ounce of merit. of the sauce
- 10:00Speaker 7: on my white shirt that I was wearing that day
- 10:02Speaker 7: too that is impressive.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I would trust you with my life in a driving
- 10:05Speaker 1: situation based on this my.
- 10:07Speaker 7: Grandma once said I'm the best driver she ever knows
- 10:09Speaker 7: so Wow.
- 10:11Speaker 5: That's saying something.
- 10:12Speaker 4: If she met me, she would be so disappointed.
- 10:14Speaker 8: You know, one of the hardest things, I avoid doing
- 10:17Speaker 8: this while driving because there's no way to eat it cleanly.
- 10:21Speaker 8: You know, it's like a hard shell taco or like
- 10:24Speaker 8: a sub sandwich.
- 10:26Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 8: Just everything spilling everywhere. It's kind of funny to me
- 10:29Speaker 8: that Megan was eating spaghetti with a fork. Yeah. I
- 10:32Speaker 8: picture if she didn't have the fork, you know, when
- 10:34Speaker 8: you're at the bottom of the chip bag and you
- 10:36Speaker 8: do the old bag tilt.
- 10:37Speaker 6: Yeah. Really? Megan's chugging spaghetti noodles. That did not happen.
- 10:43Speaker 4: But it is legal. And that's the important part.
- 10:46Speaker 8: If you are going to eat and drive, just make
- 10:48Speaker 8: sure you are driving straight and driving the speed limit.
- 10:54Speaker 8: I want to do a little trip down memory lane.
- 10:56Speaker 8: Do you remember the classic poet poem? Known as Soulja Boy.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 11:04Speaker 5: Poet, that's the word.
- 11:05Speaker 6: Right up there with Edgar.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Edgar Allan Poe.
- 11:08Speaker 6: That's right.
- 11:10Speaker 5: So not in the same category, but please go.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Edgar Allan Soulja Boy.
- 11:14Speaker 6: That's right.
- 11:15Speaker 5: There you go.
- 11:15Speaker 8: Well, there was a song from Soulja Boy that you
- 11:17Speaker 8: might recognize where he drops a little line like this.
- 11:24Speaker 6: 678-999-8212.
- 11:28Speaker 8: And I combined the last one for what we're about
- 11:33Speaker 8: to do here, but that's nine numbers. Okay.
- 11:35Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 11:36Speaker 8: What was Soulja Boy singing about for you when he dropped?
- 11:40Speaker 3: 678-999-8212.
- 11:44Speaker 8: 7-0-1-2-8-0-1-9-8-7. What do you mean? Like, give an example. If
- 11:48Speaker 8: you'd like me to lead this off, I can. Please do. 6-7-8,
- 11:54Speaker 8: three nines, another eight, a two, and then a 12.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Okay. For me, he's thinking about my golf score. That's
- 12:01Speaker 6: what I.
- 12:01Speaker 8: Got on nine holes of golf.
- 12:03Speaker 6: So that would be a 70.
- 12:05Speaker 4: That's bad.
- 12:06Speaker 6: Nine holes of golf. No, that's not very good. That's actually...
- 12:10Speaker 6: At that point, you probably should just leave.
- 12:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 12:14Speaker 6: Bye. Okay. Whenever I hear.
- 12:17Speaker 5: I.
- 12:21Speaker 6: Remember that 70 I shot at Emerald Greens on 9-0.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Wow. That number for me, like 678-999-8212 is the amount
- 12:29Speaker 1: of DMs.
- 12:29Speaker 4: I've gotten asking for.
- 12:38Speaker 4: Feet pictures and hair play videos.
- 12:41Speaker 6: Wow.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Excuse me, why aren't you rich yet?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Because I don't entertain that.
- 12:47Speaker 5: That's a bad idea. It's not only fans.
- 12:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 5: Hey, you know what?
- 12:52Speaker 8: If you send me a DM asking for feets or hairs,
- 12:54Speaker 8: I got you.
- 12:55Speaker 6: I got you covered.
- 12:57Speaker 5: Nobody is sending you that DM.
- 12:58Speaker 6: Zero times has that ever happened to me.
- 13:01Speaker 4: What about you, Megan? What does that apply to for you?
- 13:05Speaker 5: I would have to go.
- 13:05Speaker 7: That was probably the number of bad dates I've had
- 13:09Speaker 7: over the last couple of years.
- 13:10Speaker 6: Oh, gosh. This many, huh?
- 13:16Speaker 5: I would say pretty close, yeah.
- 13:17Speaker 6: So as we've learned, that would be 70.
- 13:20Speaker 7: Maybe not that many, but maybe a few more years,
- 13:24Speaker 7: but still.
- 13:26Speaker 6: When you say it like 70, it sounds way worse.
- 13:30Speaker 4: Okay, so what is that number for you? Hit it again, Gabe.
- 13:33Speaker 6: I just love it so much.
- 13:34Speaker 8: 701-280-1987.
- 13:34Speaker 6: Give us a call or text us. What does that.
- 13:37Speaker 8: Number mean for you?
- 13:38Speaker 2: Big 98.7.
- 13:38Speaker 6: I need some good.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 13:53Speaker 3: Good News on Big 98.7.
- 13:56Speaker 8: This is some wonderful news for Fargo area veterans as
- 14:00Speaker 8: East Central District Court is now offering a Veterans Treatment
- 14:04Speaker 8: Court remodeled after the one in Grand Forks. And it
- 14:07Speaker 8: gives the men and women who've served a chance to
- 14:10Speaker 8: be mentored and supervised through a special court designed to
- 14:14Speaker 8: improve treatment and and cut down on repeat offenses. Judge
- 14:17Speaker 8: Connie Cleveland and a team in Cass County, they spent
- 14:20Speaker 8: the last two years working on it to make it happen,
- 14:22Speaker 8: and the first group of veterans has already started the program.
- 14:26Speaker 8: Here is Judge Connie Cleveland talking a little bit about this.
- 14:29Speaker 2: So every other case you meet people on their worst days,
- 14:32Speaker 2: but to be working with people who have given so
- 14:38Speaker 2: much to our country and have now experienced negative effects
