- 0:24Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:28Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 0:32Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm. Today is April seventh, twenty twenty five. Welcome
- 0:38Speaker 1: to the beginning of a brand new week right here
- 0:40Speaker 1: inside the treehouse. And I want to start this week
- 0:43Speaker 1: off with a very big moving question.
- 0:47Speaker 2: I love how your eyebrows shot up.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Their trey slash spock because you know that whenever I
- 0:52Speaker 1: set something up, it's always going to be loaded, and
- 0:56Speaker 1: this is no exception. So the moving question for you
- 1:01Speaker 1: to start the week is this. How many hours per
- 1:06Speaker 1: week do you think you spend in the bathroom, not
- 1:10Speaker 1: showering and brushing your teeth, but sitting there on your
- 1:12Speaker 1: throne doing your business?
- 1:14Speaker 3: Oh?
- 1:14Speaker 2: How many hours per week do you think you spend
- 1:16Speaker 2: on the toilet?
- 1:20Speaker 3: I less than thirty minutes.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Okay, good on you for being so efficient. I have
- 1:28Speaker 1: a theory as to why your time is that small
- 1:32Speaker 1: on a weekly basis inside your bathroom.
- 1:36Speaker 4: Well, for one thing is because I'm a regular and
- 1:38Speaker 4: I don't I don't go every day.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Oh okay, all right, Well I hadn't thought about the
- 1:44Speaker 1: actual medical reason. I was thinking more of your single
- 1:48Speaker 1: and therefore there's no reason for you to hide in
- 1:50Speaker 1: your bathroom.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I've never fully understood, Like, I hate God, God, this
- 2:04Speaker 4: sounds old back in the days when it actually had newspapers.
- 2:09Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 2:10Speaker 4: I you know it might be inclined to more sit
- 2:12Speaker 4: there for a while and read an article, but at
- 2:18Speaker 4: a certain point it's not really that comfortable of a position.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Your leg's hurt, and generally it smells bad. So I'm not,
- 2:28Speaker 4: you know, really wanted to stay there that long.
- 2:31Speaker 3: I've never understood the true magic of.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It, So you gross yourself out too much to stay
- 2:35Speaker 1: in there for too long. Point taken well, most men
- 2:39Speaker 1: feel differently because, according to a new study, men spend
- 2:44Speaker 1: seven hours a year hiding in the bathroom for peace
- 2:49Speaker 1: and quiet.
- 2:51Speaker 2: According to a new.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Study, men spend seven hours per year hiding in the
- 2:55Speaker 1: bathroom for peace and quiet. I'm pretty sure I spend
- 3:00Speaker 1: seven hours per week in the bathroom, so this study
- 3:05Speaker 1: seems really weird to me. On the other hand, since Trey,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you just said you don't spend that much time in there,
- 3:10Speaker 1: maybe we balance each other out. For all the time
- 3:12Speaker 1: that I'm in there and all the time that you're not.
- 3:15Speaker 1: It lands in the middle at seven hours per year.
- 3:19Speaker 5: So.
- 3:22Speaker 4: Is that considered extra time people are just in on
- 3:25Speaker 4: their phones or whatever, are just total bathroom time.
- 3:29Speaker 2: The study has found that men spend an average of
- 3:32Speaker 2: seven hours each year hiding in the bathroom, not for hygiene,
- 3:35Speaker 2: but for solitude.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Okay.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The research, which polled one thousand men, revealed that the
- 3:41Speaker 1: bathroom serves as a sanctuary from daily stressors like nagging partners,
- 3:46Speaker 1: demanding children, and household chores. Commissioned by bathroom specialists Pebble Gray,
- 3:51Speaker 1: the study also found that men often use the toilet
- 3:53Speaker 1: to scroll through their phones in peace. However, even these
- 3:56Speaker 1: retreats are frequently interrupted. On average, one in ten bathroom
- 4:00Speaker 1: visits is disrupted, adding adding up to more than one
- 4:03Speaker 1: hundred and seventy interruptions annually.
- 4:06Speaker 2: Man, they really went deep on this study.
- 4:07Speaker 1: Researchers say the findings highlight the growing need for personal
- 4:11Speaker 1: space and quiet time in today's busy households. So the
- 4:15Speaker 1: big question, do you think you spend more or less
- 4:19Speaker 1: than seven hours a year?
- 4:21Speaker 2: Going number two?
- 4:22Speaker 1: I know I spend way Well, okay, that's that's a
- 4:25Speaker 1: loaded question because I don't spend that much time per
- 4:28Speaker 1: year at with the actual act of going poo poo.
- 4:34Speaker 1: But I'll just be in there now scrolling. I call
- 4:38Speaker 1: it show prep.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Uh. So yesterday, I want you to know, in case
- 4:45Speaker 2: you weren't sure, that anytime you get a text or
- 4:48Speaker 2: an email for me that has to do with show
- 4:50Speaker 2: related content, I'm going poopy, that's.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Good to know.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well, so number one, to me, this doesn't even mean
- 4:58Speaker 4: you're going poop, because I do understand this from when
- 5:02Speaker 4: I lived with somebody and they had kids, that sometimes
- 5:06Speaker 4: you would just say you're in the bathroom just to
- 5:10Speaker 4: get away and get some peace and quiet. So I
- 5:12Speaker 4: totally understand giving those circumstances what this article is talking about,
- 5:17Speaker 4: and it didn't you know, it doesn't really mean you're
- 5:19Speaker 4: actually going to the bathroom. Sometimes you just that's your
- 5:22Speaker 4: only place you can get some piece of quiet.
- 5:24Speaker 1: So you would lie about using the bathroom, but you
- 5:27Speaker 1: would go to the bathroom just to hide, not to
- 5:30Speaker 1: actually use the facilities.
- 5:31Speaker 2: Uh huh.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So did you ever hide anything underneath the sink, like
- 5:36Speaker 1: a pillow and a blanket, maybe just kind of ved
- 5:39Speaker 1: out and maybe take a nap in there, Because you're right,
- 5:42Speaker 1: that's the one area of the house that typically no
- 5:44Speaker 1: one will bother you, so that that might be a
- 5:46Speaker 1: good napping spot.
- 5:47Speaker 2: You just need to plan ahead.
- 5:53Speaker 4: No, I don't think you'd get away with that much
- 5:54Speaker 4: time in the bathroom, But when you need a five
- 5:57Speaker 4: to ten minute respite from chaos, it is.
- 6:01Speaker 3: It is a fortress of solitude.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Hear me out A projector and a screen that dropped
- 6:09Speaker 1: down out of the ceiling in your bathroom that you
- 6:14Speaker 1: only have the remote too, so you're.
- 6:16Speaker 2: The only one that's going to know it's there.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You install it, you wire it, you have it set
- 6:22Speaker 1: up for streaming movies, whatever the case is. You can
- 6:25Speaker 1: sit in there and basically have a movie theater style experience.
- 6:30Speaker 2: But in the bathroom, I.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Mean you want to pop up fridge while you're at it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: That's a great idea. We can have that too. See
- 6:37Speaker 2: this is a beautiful idea.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I mean a toilet that transforms into a movie seat.
- 6:42Speaker 2: Sure, the big ideas is big.
- 6:47Speaker 3: It's a money maker.

- 8:40Speaker 2: I'm Daniel Mallley.
- 8:41Speaker 1: He's Trade Trendholme. Today is Monday, April seventh, twenty twenty five.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Now that we've both cleaned out our systems, we're ready
- 8:48Speaker 1: for more show. And that involves a little topic we
- 8:52Speaker 1: were discussing last week about the Texas Senate has passed
- 9:00Speaker 1: a bill, so it's not law yet, it's just come
- 9:02Speaker 1: out of the Senate where it will make soda chips, candy,
- 9:08Speaker 1: things like that not able to You won't be able
- 9:11Speaker 1: to purchase those things through your food stamps or through
- 9:14Speaker 1: your snap benefits. They're trying to crack down on junk
- 9:17Speaker 1: food at a state level in the state of Texas,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and it's an interesting topic because it's kind of polarizing
- 9:23Speaker 1: a lot of people say, yeah, I.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Don't want you know, you know, I don't want to be.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Paying for higher medical costs because that junk food leads
- 9:31Speaker 1: to more obesity and health problems.
- 9:33Speaker 3: I get that.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Another side of that is, well, why are you punishing
- 9:37Speaker 1: poor people? And also the reality is all the processed
- 9:41Speaker 1: junk food costs less. So if you want people on
- 9:45Speaker 1: food stamps and snap benefits to eat healthier, it's more
- 9:49Speaker 1: difficult because healthy food costs more. And I know that
- 9:53Speaker 1: from a personal level. I know Trey knows that because
- 9:56Speaker 1: we both try to eat healthy and by god, a
- 9:58Speaker 1: chicken breast costs a lot more and then fried chicken
- 10:01Speaker 1: from KFC.
- 10:04Speaker 2: It's that simple.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Yeah, So I think the solution that we put out
- 10:09Speaker 1: there tray and I think this makes sense for everybody.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 10:13Speaker 1: This to me is not a political issue. If you
- 10:16Speaker 1: want to make that system better, then make it better
- 10:20Speaker 1: for everybody by making healthy food cheaper.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Make the healthy food cheaper so that.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Way, when you are living on a very tight budget,
- 10:31Speaker 1: whether it's food stamps or not food stamps, it makes
- 10:34Speaker 1: it easier to eat healthy because the.
- 10:37Speaker 3: Food costs less.
- 10:38Speaker 2: That's the big thing we should focus on.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Well, you're right, but the problem is number one, and
- 10:45Speaker 4: let's be honest, healthy food doesn't sell as well like because.
- 10:51Speaker 2: It doesn't taste as good.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It's not full of all the chemicals and things that
- 10:54Speaker 1: make us crave more of it.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fortunately, that is the problem. And we live
- 11:02Speaker 4: in a society where they have put all the effort,
- 11:05Speaker 4: the money, research and effort into making food, you know,
- 11:11Speaker 4: be worse for you, but taste better and for mass consumer.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I mean, it's very much an extremely scientific approach that
- 11:18Speaker 1: these mega food companies use to make it to where psychology, psychiatry,
- 11:27Speaker 1: food science, all these things come together from the mega
- 11:30Speaker 1: food company to tell us and convince our bodies, which
- 11:34Speaker 1: is not a difficult convincing that we would rather have
- 11:38Speaker 1: a potato chip than a potato.
- 11:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:44Speaker 1: So that's where I fall on the whole you know,
- 11:46Speaker 1: let's not let the food stamp recipients by junk food.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Is there's a larger problem, and if you focus on
- 11:52Speaker 1: the tiny one, you still have a massive problem, and
- 11:57Speaker 1: you haven't really fixed a whole lot of anything.
- 12:00Speaker 3: No, we still have and.
- 12:05Speaker 4: I mean, if we're being honest, obesity is one of
- 12:09Speaker 4: the greatest drains on our society and it's taught from
- 12:14Speaker 4: unfortunately unhealthy people pass on their unhealthy habits to their children.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Oftentimes that is extremely accurate I know that because I
- 12:25Speaker 1: deal with that on a daily basis, because the stuff
- 12:27Speaker 1: that my parents let me eat as a kid, and
- 12:29Speaker 1: I still want it as an adult, even though I
- 12:31Speaker 1: know it's really bad for me.
- 12:34Speaker 4: Oh, I mean especially our age. When we grew up,
- 12:39Speaker 4: we knew so very little about what we know. It's
- 12:43Speaker 4: very little compared to what we know now about nutrition.
- 12:46Speaker 4: I mean, we had the food pyramid. That was really
- 12:47Speaker 4: about it.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Enter in one of our lovely Brownwood radio listeners from
- 12:52Speaker 1: one O three point five the ex in Brownwood, Texas,
- 12:55Speaker 1: he heard the topic and decided to call the front
- 12:57Speaker 1: desk of the radio station to share his thoughts on
- 12:59Speaker 1: the food stamp issue.
- 13:01Speaker 11: Okay, as it goes to the two step problem, I'm
- 13:06Speaker 11: feel a neat better moucher. For forty years before that,
- 13:11Speaker 11: I was his story of light, and I don't see
- 13:16Speaker 11: any difference with in taking that away from the stamps
- 13:19Speaker 11: than us having to go in and put all over
- 13:22Speaker 11: ending machines out of all the schools in Texas, if
- 13:26Speaker 11: you work in the grocery business, overall see people totally
- 13:32Speaker 11: scanning the system and it's total. And that's just my
- 13:37Speaker 11: thank you.
- 13:39Speaker 2: You're welcome, thanks for the call.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But he didn't leave his name, so I'm not sure,
- 13:42Speaker 1: but thank you, sir, we appreciate that.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 13:44Speaker 1: So he says, it's no different than taking the vending
- 13:47Speaker 1: machines out of the schools. What do you think, Trey, I'd.
- 13:50Speaker 4: Be more than to go right ahead and take the
- 13:52Speaker 4: venting machines out of schools.
- 13:54Speaker 3: No problem with that whatsoever.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm same here.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Now, keep in mind, I still that cafeteria burrito at
- 14:02Speaker 1: Lamar High School in Arlington, Texas. That was more like
- 14:04Speaker 1: a chimney chonga. Granted that was not in the vending machine.
- 14:08Speaker 1: It was in one of the things that they cooked.
- 14:09Speaker 1: But I know that wasn't healthy. I know that wasn't
- 14:11Speaker 1: good for me. I'm pretty sure every item in that
- 14:16Speaker 1: little burrito slash chimmy choga was processed a high heaven.
- 14:21Speaker 1: There may not have been actual food in that burrito,
- 14:24Speaker 1: but by God, was it delicious.
- 14:27Speaker 4: I'd shive you for a slice of that square pizza
- 14:30Speaker 4: we got as kids.
- 14:36Speaker 2: And I understand.
- 14:38Speaker 7: You're in the Treehouse.

- 15:19Speaker 2: This is the Treehouse Show. I'm Dan ol Maley. He's
- 15:21Speaker 2: trade trendholme.
- 15:22Speaker 1: And do for his I'd say by annual visit. It
- 15:26Speaker 1: is our dear friend, actor, comedian, television show host, eyeglass wearer,
- 15:33Speaker 1: Goodassbeard Donner and wherever the hell you got that hat?
- 15:38Speaker 1: That looks good too, mister tone Bell inside the Treehouse.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Hey, Tone, Yeah, you don't like the hat?
- 15:43Speaker 1: No, I love the hat. It's just I know what.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I love the hat on you. Okay, Yeah I can't.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I can't pull off that hat.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, yeah. You would need a unicycle to make
- 15:53Speaker 5: this hat work.
- 15:55Speaker 2: And I can't make that work either.
- 15:57Speaker 1: I think that would just be all sorts of all
- 15:59Speaker 1: sorts of bad blood and bones everywhere.
- 16:01Speaker 2: But at least that you know.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That's yeah, mister Bell. It's been a while since we've
- 16:05Speaker 1: had you inside the tree Yes, how you been, brother, Yeah.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Man, I've been good, man, been good, just busy, busy.
- 16:09Speaker 5: Life comes at you fast.
- 16:10Speaker 7: Man.
- 16:11Speaker 5: So just just you know, one day at a time.
- 16:13Speaker 5: If it's not one thing, it's another, and they all
- 16:15Speaker 5: pile up.
- 16:16Speaker 2: They really do.
- 16:17Speaker 1: So just I think it was trying to think see
- 16:19Speaker 1: last week or I think almost two weeks ago now
- 16:22Speaker 1: I think it was on March twenty seventh, you had
- 16:25Speaker 1: season two of Survival of the Thickest on Netflix drop.
- 16:30Speaker 1: That's the show that, like I said, season two of
- 16:33Speaker 1: the show that you co star in. Yep, and how
- 16:38Speaker 1: far so I had the new season premiere a couple
- 16:41Speaker 1: of weeks ago.
- 16:42Speaker 2: You've been promoting that you're on the road. How do
- 16:45Speaker 2: you find time to just hang out?
- 16:47Speaker 7: Oh?
- 16:48Speaker 5: Man, I have not had any time. I mean, this
- 16:49Speaker 5: is probably the busiest I've been in a while, you know,
- 16:51Speaker 5: outside of like when I'm filming, and it's because I'm
- 16:54Speaker 5: doing press and I'm doing stand up and then you know,
- 16:58Speaker 5: house maintenance and ship maintenance and family maintenance and I'm
- 17:02Speaker 5: married now and all these things just compiling on. So
- 17:07Speaker 5: I'm going a little crazy, man. But the date for
- 17:11Speaker 5: me to slow down is April twenty second. I can
- 17:14Speaker 5: now wait. I'm finally going. I'm I'll probably get about
- 17:18Speaker 5: three weeks just to kind of just do me and
- 17:20Speaker 5: start some kind of routine. But man, it's been a lot.
- 17:23Speaker 5: I'm going a little stirt crazy right.
- 17:24Speaker 2: Now, I imagine.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Well, at the same time, it's it's a good problem
- 17:28Speaker 1: to have. It's definitely in the life of an actor comedian.
- 17:33Speaker 2: It's better to be busy than not, I would imagine.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Oh for sure, for sure. Yeah, I mean, you know,
- 17:38Speaker 5: just like you know, hitting the road. I've been on
- 17:39Speaker 5: the road heavy since about October. So this so this
- 17:42Speaker 5: is a I mean in between that married homeownership. Just
- 17:46Speaker 5: I mean, everything is just like I mean it is.
- 17:49Speaker 5: It's I I if you know, I can't believe I'm
- 17:56Speaker 5: talking to you all right now. I really should be
- 17:57Speaker 5: doing nothing.
- 18:00Speaker 1: I appreciate you taking off the house you know, like
- 18:03Speaker 1: the house pajamas or like the bathrobe.
- 18:05Speaker 5: And I'm not wearing pants right now. I promise you.
- 18:08Speaker 5: I'm not wearing pants right now. I'm I got a
- 18:10Speaker 5: T shirt on and and I'm wearing the hat box
- 18:13Speaker 5: and put the hat on, but it was hat of pants.
- 18:16Speaker 5: And I'm going.
- 18:18Speaker 2: You realize the camera's only like from like the chest up.
- 18:21Speaker 5: So it is.
- 18:22Speaker 3: I'm with you, you know, it's all you need.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Wait, are you are you telling me, Trey that you
- 18:28Speaker 1: and Tone both are not wearing pants and I don't
- 18:30Speaker 1: need to be looking underneath the console?
- 18:32Speaker 2: Uh huh, okay, just.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Noted at least one of us is in here wearing pants.
- 18:37Speaker 1: I just want that set.
- 18:39Speaker 5: I mean, honestly, you should join us.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's it's really nice.
- 18:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's I mean, I'm sitting on supple
- 18:45Speaker 5: leather like it's it.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Here's the important question. How is your neighbors? Is his
- 18:53Speaker 3: name Jerry?
- 18:53Speaker 5: Is it Jerry Man? He's he's doing all right, man,
- 18:57Speaker 5: you know some light you know, Like I said, life
- 18:58Speaker 5: comes at you fast. So we're dealing with some stuff
- 19:00Speaker 5: right now. But yet he's doing pretty good man. Actually
- 19:03Speaker 5: we actually got a pedicure yesterday.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Really, So Jerry's your octagenarian neighbor.
- 19:10Speaker 5: Yes, yes, yeah.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Now keep in mind, while the bulk of your work
- 19:17Speaker 1: is out of Hollywood, produced.
- 19:20Speaker 2: You don't live there.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You live, you live in a normal place, and so
- 19:25Speaker 1: you have a quote unquote normal neighbor, which makes.
- 19:28Speaker 2: You the abnormal neighbor in the scenario.
- 19:32Speaker 1: But when you got an eighty something, your old white
- 19:34Speaker 1: guy is a neighbor, and next thing you know, you
- 19:36Speaker 1: guys are paling around town. It really is a beautiful site,
- 19:39Speaker 1: so we wanted to make sure we checked in on
- 19:42Speaker 1: your palate.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Oh yeah, man, we went yesterday. You know, he always
- 19:45Speaker 5: picks the package for which pedicure. You know, they say
- 19:47Speaker 5: they give you the menu. I don't know if you
- 19:48Speaker 5: ever got a pedicure if you listen, but when you
- 19:51Speaker 5: when you when you sit down and hand you the menu,
- 19:53Speaker 5: they usually have like four or five options of you know,
- 19:55Speaker 5: the thirty five dollars option to like the one hundred
- 19:57Speaker 5: and five dollars option. And yesterday Jay for the He
- 20:01Speaker 5: never really goes for the middle. We kind of just
- 20:02Speaker 5: go for the for the base package. And yesterday he goes,
- 20:05Speaker 5: I think I want to do the wax today, which
- 20:07Speaker 5: is you know, they put your foot in the bag
- 20:09Speaker 5: of wax and they kind of I don't know if
- 20:11Speaker 5: it's called paraffin or that's it. Yeah, and uh oh yeah,
- 20:14Speaker 5: I was like, oh look, I was like, look at you, Jerry,
- 20:16Speaker 5: You out here stepping it up a notch. So yeah,
- 20:19Speaker 5: we did that, and we stopped by dunking Donuts and
- 20:21Speaker 5: grab grabbing a little something and uh yeah, man, we
- 20:24Speaker 5: had a happy hour last I'm actually still a little tipsy,
- 20:26Speaker 5: like we went tap.
- 20:28Speaker 2: It's hard keeping up with eighty year old white guys knocked.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Out about three bottles of wine. Uh yeah, it's always
- 20:34Speaker 5: a good time, man.
- 20:35Speaker 2: So how much of a culture shock is it?
- 20:37Speaker 1: Did when you're trying to enjoy some downtime at the
- 20:40Speaker 1: house with your eighty year old white guy neighbor Jerry,
- 20:43Speaker 1: and then you go to the set of Survival of
- 20:44Speaker 1: the Thickest and it's very different.
- 20:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean it's you know, I mean when I
- 20:49Speaker 5: when I am here, you know, it's nice because when
- 20:50Speaker 5: I am here, it's it's uh, it's you know, I
- 20:53Speaker 5: got the you know, the honeydew list is real. Okay,
- 20:56Speaker 5: that's what I learned too. It's like, I mean, it's
- 20:57Speaker 5: there's all what can I curse? I don't know if
- 20:59Speaker 5: I can curse, But I mean it's always a fucking
- 21:03Speaker 5: another thing on this fucking list. I mean it is.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I mean, there's another hyphen with another description of some
- 21:10Speaker 5: ship I need to do on this fucking list, Okay.
- 21:15Speaker 5: And I mean I got home. I mean I was
- 21:16Speaker 5: in New York for eight days doing press and I
- 21:19Speaker 5: get home and it's like, oh, you got to pour
- 21:21Speaker 5: the vinegar and the warm water down the ac thing
- 21:24Speaker 5: and places carbon monoxide detector, and clean out the lint
- 21:28Speaker 5: trap for the for the dryer, and fix the camera
- 21:30Speaker 5: on the side, and also cut this tree down in
- 21:33Speaker 5: the back. I go, can I can I get a minute?
- 21:38Speaker 5: All these bills I pay around here? Can I get
- 21:41Speaker 5: a minute?
- 21:42Speaker 2: Did you say that to Did you say all the
- 21:44Speaker 2: bills I pay around here?
- 21:46Speaker 5: I mean, I often say that I got a reminder
- 21:49Speaker 5: who who really is running shit around here?
- 21:52Speaker 3: To say?
- 21:52Speaker 2: Because you can't say wearing the pants because you're not.
- 21:54Speaker 5: Right now, Well yeah you can't. Yeah that's but I
- 21:57Speaker 5: can only say it with my pants off.
- 22:01Speaker 2: It really drives the point home.
- 22:05Speaker 5: It's a I mean, but yeah, it's like I mean
- 22:06Speaker 5: between you know, because when I shoot, when I shoot
- 22:08Speaker 5: the show, which is you know, this is my first
- 22:10Speaker 5: season two of my career.
- 22:13Speaker 2: So I was I was wondering.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I didn't know if I should ask that question, if
- 22:17Speaker 1: you would be mad at me if I asked it,
- 22:18Speaker 1: even though no, no, you know.
- 22:20Speaker 5: Dan, you know I've known you since since the actually
- 22:22Speaker 5: both you guys, probably since the beginning. But it's it's, uh,
- 22:25Speaker 5: it's a dude doing doing over one hundred episodes of
- 22:28Speaker 5: TV eighty plus being a lead and then this is
- 22:32Speaker 5: my first season two, so graduations one. Yeah, man, thank you,
- 22:36Speaker 5: and uh, but you know it was different because you know,
- 22:38Speaker 5: the first six or seven shows were in when I
- 22:41Speaker 5: was living full time in LA and now living not
- 22:45Speaker 5: in l A. And I shoot in New York. So
- 22:47Speaker 5: so when when it's time to shoot the show, I'm
- 22:49Speaker 5: doing twelve weeks three months out in out in New York.
- 22:53Speaker 5: So d you know, basically moving for for the summer
- 22:56Speaker 5: or the winter whenever you shoot. Uh, it's very different.
- 22:59Speaker 5: So you come back and your house is still you
- 23:01Speaker 5: know you want to come back, but I mean, you know,
- 23:02Speaker 5: the weeds are overgrown, and I do I'm my own
- 23:05Speaker 5: yard work, So get a gardener. Go, hey, man, I look,
- 23:07Speaker 5: I just got money.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Okay, you know what, you know what it's spend it
- 23:11Speaker 2: all too fast.
- 23:13Speaker 5: I'm pulling all these weeds myself. Okay, I'm not about
- 23:16Speaker 5: to pay a garden to come out here. I go.
- 23:18Speaker 5: I grew up doing this. I got it. But yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 5: it's it's actually very dope, and I mean just thankful
- 23:24Speaker 5: for it, but man, it is it is always a
- 23:26Speaker 5: task coming back. I gotta have friends. I mean, luckily
- 23:28Speaker 5: I got Jerry Man because Jerry, you know, I see
- 23:30Speaker 5: him on the cameras walking around the house every day
- 23:32Speaker 5: just checking on my stuff. Man, so you know, he
- 23:34Speaker 5: just he takes care of me. I take care of him.
- 23:36Speaker 11: Well.
- 23:36Speaker 1: You know, if the Hollywood thing ever takes a nose dive,
- 23:38Speaker 1: you can always start up the second career, as as
- 23:41Speaker 1: in pantiless landscaping.
- 23:43Speaker 5: Oh, I mean that's it's almost like you reading my diary.
- 23:47Speaker 4: At the same time, Dan, and I can tell you
- 23:49Speaker 4: a cautionary tale of people with money who.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Get obsessed about yard work. I'll tell you it doesn't
- 23:56Speaker 3: end well.
- 23:57Speaker 2: It is very poorly.

- 25:12Speaker 1: So you got the new season two, the first of
- 25:15Speaker 1: your career. Season two again, congratulations. I don't and I
- 25:17Speaker 1: don't mean that sarcastically. I mean they're genuinely Oh yeah,
- 25:20Speaker 1: I know it's real.
- 25:22Speaker 5: No, it's real.
- 25:23Speaker 1: Season two of Survival of the Thickest is now on
- 25:26Speaker 1: Netflix for your viewing enjoyment. You've trying to remember when
- 25:31Speaker 1: it was you moved to La. Was it around what
- 25:34Speaker 1: like twenty twelve?
- 25:36Speaker 5: I was summer of twenty eleven. Okay, yeah, summer twenty eleven.
- 25:41Speaker 1: And yeah, yeah, you've had, you've had already such a
- 25:44Speaker 1: great career. Now, granted I'm still waiting on your Marvel announcement.
- 25:49Speaker 1: I truly feel it's going to happen someday there. I mean, look,
- 25:54Speaker 1: there's only so many actors in Hollywood they've already started
- 25:57Speaker 1: repeating actors. Yeah, for characters in the MCU. I just
- 26:02Speaker 1: feel like it's just a matter of time before you're
- 26:05Speaker 1: something in the MCU. But you've enjoyed such a great
- 26:10Speaker 1: career early success, and you've been able to sustain it.
- 26:12Speaker 1: You mentioned all the shows that you've been on and
- 26:15Speaker 1: on sitcoms and things. You've done a number of movies
- 26:18Speaker 1: as well. You've been lucky in the co star ranks
- 26:21Speaker 1: as well, like a lot of really well known names.
- 26:24Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean some of the people that I've
- 26:26Speaker 5: got a chance to work with is amazing, which which
- 26:30Speaker 5: kind of it was kind of crazy. Last week. I'm
- 26:32Speaker 5: I'm I'm in New York. I'm doing press for Thickest.
- 26:35Speaker 5: Is I mean, some people call survival. I call it Thickest.
- 26:37Speaker 5: But so I'm doing the whole Netflix press run. And
- 26:40Speaker 5: halfway through the week, I think last Thursday or Friday,
- 26:44Speaker 5: I I mean, I get a bunch of text messages
- 26:46Speaker 5: just kind of coming from new station, news station, podcasts,
- 26:49Speaker 5: podcast and and there's a movie I did about three
- 26:51Speaker 5: years ago that got shelved by Warner Brothers. And at
- 26:55Speaker 5: this point, this is the biggest movie I've ever been
- 26:57Speaker 5: a part of. I mean, I've been a part of
- 26:59Speaker 5: you know, Golden Globe nominated, Oscar nominated, but this one
- 27:02Speaker 5: is like the budget in the reach of this movie
- 27:05Speaker 5: would be massively global. And then Warner Brothers shelves it,
- 27:09Speaker 5: and and this is I mean, I saw it, I
- 27:11Speaker 5: got to I went to the screening of it. They
- 27:12Speaker 5: decided to put it up and I was like, fuck, okay,
- 27:15Speaker 5: this will never come out. And then last week it
- 27:19Speaker 5: got a distribution deal and it's gonna come out. Looks
- 27:21Speaker 5: like in twenty twenty six. So officially I am, like
- 27:25Speaker 5: I said, shot in twenty twenty two, I believe. And
- 27:29Speaker 5: so while he Kyldie versus actme, the Loonie Tunes movie
- 27:33Speaker 5: is coming out now and which I played one of
- 27:36Speaker 5: the lawyers in that. So it's me and Will Forte
- 27:38Speaker 5: and John Cena, Luis Guzman, Lana Condor. Yeah, Martha Kelly,
- 27:44Speaker 5: it's it's.
- 27:46Speaker 2: I didn't even know you were in that.
- 27:47Speaker 5: You turned yeah, yeah, yeah, Well, you know, I don't
- 27:50Speaker 5: say I'm in it until it comes out. I mean,
- 27:52Speaker 5: like it's like there's no point in and you know.
- 27:55Speaker 2: I get that, I'm with you.
- 27:56Speaker 1: If I was in your position, I would probably do
- 27:58Speaker 1: the same thing. But I've followed that story a little bit,
- 28:02Speaker 1: probably for the because we all grew up on the
- 28:04Speaker 1: Looney Tune stuff. So the Wiley Coyote movie, I remember
- 28:07Speaker 1: seeing headlines about it on occasion because John seen a
- 28:10Speaker 1: huge name in it and the fact that they weren't
- 28:13Speaker 1: going to release it, and a bunch of the people
- 28:15Speaker 1: involved in it were like, no, you've got to Yeah, yeah,
- 28:19Speaker 1: that's outstanding news.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 28:21Speaker 5: Yeah, man, thank you, thank you, thank you.
- 28:23Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 5: I mean that's one of those where you like, of course,
- 28:25Speaker 5: I mean you're talking about one hundred million dollars plus budget,
- 28:28Speaker 5: and I go and you know, they're going to distribute
- 28:30Speaker 5: it everywhere. It's gonna go theaters and all that, and
- 28:33Speaker 5: then it you know, because of my first big theatrical release,
- 28:35Speaker 5: I've had three. One came out and did pretty well.
- 28:41Speaker 5: Still you know, it comes on TVs and USA and
- 28:43Speaker 5: it's on Netflix and stuff now. And then one was
- 28:46Speaker 5: super dramatic Billie Holliday biopic that came out during the pandemic,
- 28:50Speaker 5: so it came out on Hulu instead of in theaters. Then,
- 28:52Speaker 5: so you know, oh man, you know, so you get
- 28:54Speaker 5: those like you get those moments and then like it
- 28:57Speaker 5: just it, you know, and it's such an everybody you know,
- 29:00Speaker 5: the the lighting guys, the grips, the dollaries, the pas
- 29:04Speaker 5: and you know, everybody work hard on it. And but
- 29:07Speaker 5: just you know, selfishly, for a second, I go, man,
- 29:09Speaker 5: of course this won't come out, and then and uh, yeah,
- 29:13Speaker 5: as of last week, man, it's a it's like it's coming.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Congratulations, very excited for you.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Yeah, man, it's selfishly I'm excited to see because I'm
- 29:20Speaker 1: curious about it because group on that show, it's phenomenal.
- 29:24Speaker 5: I'll tell you what. After that comes out, I will
- 29:26Speaker 5: make sure that we will we'll hop back on because
- 29:29Speaker 5: do something so funny is at the end of the
- 29:30Speaker 5: movie that my character does that makes no sense because
- 29:34Speaker 5: they changed the piece of it. Okay, we couldn't reshoot.
- 29:38Speaker 5: You will listen. You will know what I'm talking about, because, uh,
- 29:42Speaker 5: we all watched it. Even my agents and managers were like,
- 29:44Speaker 5: why would you do that? And I go, it was
- 29:46Speaker 5: it was supposed to be different and I didn't know
- 29:48Speaker 5: this was changing until right now, and it's it's it
- 29:52Speaker 5: makes zero sense. But the rest of the movie is
- 29:56Speaker 5: the movie is fucking I mean, you laugh, you'll cry
- 29:58Speaker 5: like it's it's actually really it's a great, great film.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Well again, congratulations on that.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Congratulations on season two of Survival of the Thickst available
- 30:06Speaker 1: on uh on Netflix. Right now, you're touring looking forward
- 30:10Speaker 1: to three weeks of downtime, which is obviously well deserved.
- 30:15Speaker 1: You've you've gone back to it, I think three times
- 30:17Speaker 1: now about about being married and house chores. It's starting
- 30:21Speaker 1: to sound like reality is setting in on on your Hollywood.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I guess, not lifestyle because you never really like that,
- 30:31Speaker 1: but it sounds like she's keeping you pretty grounded.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah, she doesn't blame me for
- 30:39Speaker 5: for how we got here, so uh it's it's uh yeah,
- 30:45Speaker 5: I let it tell you. Yeah, she gives me a
- 30:46Speaker 5: lot of smoke, man, but you know she deserves it,
- 30:48Speaker 5: and uh no, it's good man. I guess it's nice
- 30:51Speaker 5: going back to because you know, I mean, to me,
- 30:53Speaker 5: that's where the funny comes from, right, I mean, like,
- 30:55Speaker 5: that's that's the if you know you see to me,
- 30:57Speaker 5: especially you see comics that that you know, they make
- 31:00Speaker 5: so much money. They get you know, they start doing
- 31:02Speaker 5: arenas and they do the twenty thirty thousand people arenas,
- 31:05Speaker 5: and not that they're not funny, but it's a different
- 31:07Speaker 5: level of funny. And I mean my thing has always
- 31:09Speaker 5: been like, if I could have a blue collar since
- 31:10Speaker 5: of humor, then it's it'll be relatable forever, right, So
- 31:14Speaker 5: it's like, why put my surround myself with things that
- 31:17Speaker 5: people can't relate to? And it's just actually just more comfortable.
- 31:20Speaker 5: It's more comfortable. Men. I live out in the country,
- 31:22Speaker 5: so it's it's peaceful. It's slow because I mean, you know,
- 31:25Speaker 5: I'm in New York all the time, in LA all
- 31:26Speaker 5: the time, I'm in an airport all the time. I get
- 31:29Speaker 5: all the social cues and and I mean I got
- 31:33Speaker 5: I'm around people all the time, so I don't I
- 31:35Speaker 5: don't want to see who's coming home at five point
- 31:38Speaker 5: thirty in dealing with somebody else's dogs shitting in my yard.
- 31:42Speaker 5: I got it.
- 31:45Speaker 1: As if that's not enough to keep you grounded, I
- 31:48Speaker 1: want to do do a quick little like IMDb Google
- 31:51Speaker 1: search on you make sure there wasn't anything popping up
- 31:53Speaker 1: that I didn't know about already. And what pops up
- 31:57Speaker 1: are all the cast photos from Revival of The Thickest
- 32:01Speaker 1: on Netflix and everyone's photo on the cast is gorgeous.
- 32:06Speaker 1: It's a gorgeous headshot. It looks like it's from the premiere,
- 32:09Speaker 1: and then stuck in the middle is your bewildered face,
- 32:13Speaker 1: looking lost, looking like some sort of silver alert guy
- 32:18Speaker 1: walked into the premiere of this show next.
- 32:21Speaker 2: To all this beautiful cast. What happened? What happened in
- 32:23Speaker 2: that photo?
- 32:23Speaker 1: I mean, don't get me wrong, you're still handsome, you
- 32:25Speaker 1: just look lost as hell.
- 32:27Speaker 5: Yeah, they they don't let you choose that. I mean,
- 32:29Speaker 5: I think, I think when you pay it because I'm
- 32:31Speaker 5: not gonna do I hate press, period, I don't. I'm not.
- 32:33Speaker 5: I'm not a fan of it. I don't like I
- 32:35Speaker 5: kind of just want to do the work and then
- 32:36Speaker 5: hopefully people find it. That's not who I am. I've
- 32:38Speaker 5: decided to try to do it this time. But that's
- 32:40Speaker 5: last that's from last season, and I don't know, I
- 32:44Speaker 5: don't know why the It's almost like everybody's got a
- 32:47Speaker 5: picture and I got to steal shot from video. Yeah,
- 32:49Speaker 5: that's what it's like.
- 32:50Speaker 1: It really does look like that, which means to me,
- 32:53Speaker 1: it means it looks like you've pissed off somebody at Google.
- 32:56Speaker 5: Dude, look at look at my profile picture on my
- 32:59Speaker 5: IMDb page. I don't know who chose this. It is awkward,
- 33:02Speaker 5: it's it's wild. I don't know. Like I've been trying
- 33:06Speaker 5: to get this change four years. It's a still show.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It's oh my god.
- 33:14Speaker 5: Ad I've been contacting I m dB for years, my managers,
- 33:18Speaker 5: my agents, my lawyer. Like, they will not change. I'm like, who, Like,
- 33:22Speaker 5: I mean, I would never blow a dude, but I mean,
- 33:25Speaker 5: but but this might be the case. This might go.
- 33:29Speaker 5: I don't know why they won't change it.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Man, hang on, I'm gonna show this to your Trey.
- 33:34Speaker 2: You're not ready for this. Oh man, you you you
- 33:42Speaker 2: you need to mend some bridges. Tone you have fisted
- 33:45Speaker 2: off some people.
- 33:48Speaker 3: That looks like you're you're about to take the best
- 33:50Speaker 3: pe of your life.
- 33:52Speaker 5: I think that's I think I'm I think I'm paying
- 33:54Speaker 5: right there.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:55Speaker 1: Uh that's from that's from your Netflix show Disjointed and
- 33:58Speaker 1: which you uh co starred with Kathy Bates.
- 34:01Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, who I talked to last week. She texted
- 34:04Speaker 5: me last week out of the blue, and yeah we
- 34:05Speaker 5: just talked for a little bit and yeah we still
- 34:07Speaker 5: keep up. Man, I love me some cat KB.
- 34:09Speaker 3: Man.
- 34:10Speaker 1: I never asked you to do me anything Hollywood related.
- 34:13Speaker 1: But if you ever feel so inclined and there's a
- 34:14Speaker 1: lull in conversation with Kathy Bates, just tell her Dan
- 34:17Speaker 1: and Trace a hey. And also, on a very personal note,
- 34:20Speaker 1: because you did that lip sync battle with Kathy Bates
- 34:23Speaker 1: years ago.
- 34:24Speaker 5: That's right.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Every time Tara and I hear that Bruno Mars song,
- 34:31Speaker 1: we think of you.
- 34:31Speaker 2: And Kathy Bates.
- 34:33Speaker 1: That's great because we obviously hear that song much more
- 34:35Speaker 1: than we hear the Eddie Murphy song that you did.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:38Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I mean, look, man, I'm a team player.
- 34:41Speaker 5: You don't think I set Kathy up to win. She
- 34:46Speaker 5: knows that I know it. I mean, it's crazy. I
- 34:48Speaker 5: have the belt. Like we I was hanging out of Kathy's.
- 34:50Speaker 5: Kathy and I used to get together on Saturdays and
- 34:52Speaker 5: just like sit tequila. Like she's a girl, and so
- 34:55Speaker 5: I go over there on Saturdays and we just talked
- 34:57Speaker 5: for a couple hours and then I was leaving one
- 34:58Speaker 5: day and she's like, hey, bro, come take the man.
- 35:01Speaker 5: Take this like this, I want you to have it.
- 35:02Speaker 5: And I was like, KB, I'm not taking your belt,
- 35:04Speaker 5: and she was like, bro, take the fucking belt, And
- 35:07Speaker 5: so I got the belt hanging up. I guess room here.
- 35:10Speaker 5: So it's uh, I mean when people come stay with us, like,
- 35:12Speaker 5: why do you have Kathy Bates medical? First of all,
- 35:14Speaker 5: it's my belt. It just says her name.
- 35:19Speaker 2: So is that the Kathy Baits Sweet in your house?
- 35:21Speaker 3: Then?
- 35:21Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the KB sweet Yeah, yeah, on the on
- 35:25Speaker 5: the on the disjointed wing man.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Right next to the honey list.
- 35:31Speaker 3: That's one of those things. I don't care how nice
- 35:33Speaker 3: she is.
- 35:34Speaker 4: I wouldn't take anything of hers because that scene in
- 35:36Speaker 4: misery would be coming back to haunt me.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 35:42Speaker 5: She's the best. She does. She tell like people ask me,
- 35:45Speaker 5: uh you know, I mean, I don't. I have only
- 35:47Speaker 5: really worked like two people that I probably would say
- 35:49Speaker 5: no to work into working with again. And she is
- 35:52Speaker 5: now on to man like. She's the sweetest. I mean,
- 35:55Speaker 5: and she do she you know, it's like it's really
- 35:58Speaker 5: like hanging out with my neighbor Jerry, which is probably
- 36:00Speaker 5: where I learned. It is like I think she was
- 36:02Speaker 5: seventy two seventy three when we were working together. And
- 36:06Speaker 5: when I tell you, she's like, you gotta treat like
- 36:08Speaker 5: she's twenty five. She's like, I don't want to be
- 36:10Speaker 5: treated like I'm old, and that's why I treat Jerry
- 36:11Speaker 5: like he's we're the same age. He's like, it's you
- 36:14Speaker 5: try to be respectful. But then you go, oh, now,
- 36:16Speaker 5: now I'm babying this this mature person and older people
- 36:21Speaker 5: just want to go, hey man, I'm still here, poor
- 36:23Speaker 5: fucking drink and let's talk some shit. And that's that's
- 36:27Speaker 5: that's the best part. Man.
- 36:29Speaker 4: Hey Dan, Yes, sir, next time you tell a guest
- 36:34Speaker 4: they can cuss you're editing this fucking show.
- 36:39Speaker 2: I own that. I'm sorry.

- 37:47Speaker 2: Comedian Tone Bell.
- 37:49Speaker 1: New show Survival of the Thickest, Season two, I say
- 37:52Speaker 1: new show. New season of Survival of the Thickest is
- 37:54Speaker 1: available on Netflix, along with a number of other excellent
- 37:58Speaker 1: shows you can find and enjoy h some of which
- 38:03Speaker 1: most of which where Tone was underutilized. Obviously I'm a
- 38:07Speaker 1: little biased, but I also think I can be somewhat
- 38:10Speaker 1: objective film as well, and one of the best I
- 38:13Speaker 1: m dB profile photos you will ever see, as long
- 38:17Speaker 1: as you are not Tone Bell, because that really is horrific.
- 38:21Speaker 5: Man, It's awful. Man. I remember when they changed it.
- 38:23Speaker 5: I had a good one for for years and then
- 38:25Speaker 5: out of nowhere, like four years ago, it switched to
- 38:28Speaker 5: that and we cannot figure it out. Man. But I
- 38:30Speaker 5: mean hopeing next time I visit you guys on the show,
- 38:32Speaker 5: it'll it'll it'll be different. But I've been making Yeah, maybe.
- 38:34Speaker 1: It'll be Maybe it'll be your character from the Wiley
- 38:37Speaker 1: Coyote movie that'll come out.
- 38:38Speaker 2: That'll be the new I.
- 38:39Speaker 5: M that'd be great because and that I'm just rocking
- 38:41Speaker 5: like a little handlebar mustache. Oh that's gonna be phenomenal
- 38:44Speaker 5: there you go.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's the same one you had in
- 38:47Speaker 1: the Billie Holiday story.
- 38:48Speaker 2: The same kind of little the little thing.
- 38:50Speaker 5: Now that's the I hate women mustache like that's the
- 38:55Speaker 5: you know, that's the that's the forties, fifties. Uh you know,
- 38:58Speaker 5: talk talk to the back of my hand must sash.
- 39:01Speaker 5: This one is I wear boots and flannel pearl snaps
- 39:06Speaker 5: and I drive a truck. Like that's that mustache. There's
- 39:10Speaker 5: a difference.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Oh no, I agree.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I just have to take your word for it on
- 39:15Speaker 1: the wiley mustache because I haven't seen it yet.
- 39:17Speaker 5: I just oh yeah, yeah, but man, man, thank you
- 39:21Speaker 5: for having me. I gotta I gotta go get back
- 39:22Speaker 5: to some yard work.
- 39:24Speaker 2: Yeah, be careful with that chainsaw where she goes.
- 39:26Speaker 5: Yeah, no, no, I'm gonna let Jerry do chain So
- 39:28Speaker 5: I'm gonna stand there and uh uh, he's better at
- 39:31Speaker 5: it than me.
- 39:32Speaker 2: You're gonna let the eighty year old neighbor play with
- 39:33Speaker 2: a chainsaw.
- 39:35Speaker 5: No playing around here, baby, it's all it's.
- 39:37Speaker 2: All work, okay, work, you guys.
- 39:40Speaker 5: He won't let me do it. He just he needs
- 39:42Speaker 5: to like it's his, and so he only does it
- 39:45Speaker 5: on his own. He won't. He actually, it's a new chainsaw.
- 39:48Speaker 5: I'll tell you this before I head out. It's a
- 39:49Speaker 5: new chainsaw. It's about six months old. But uh, he
- 39:53Speaker 5: got it and I went into the kitchen and he
- 39:54Speaker 5: was like, hey, have you seen a new chainsaw? And
- 39:56Speaker 5: I picked it up. He goes, man, start it. I go, well,
- 39:58Speaker 5: let's go outside. He goes, no, no, turn on right here.
- 40:01Speaker 5: So I started to change on in the middle of
- 40:06Speaker 5: his kitchen. It's solved dust every He goes, oh, look
- 40:12Speaker 5: at you. Now, we gotta clean this up. I I
- 40:13Speaker 5: told you it's a I mean, we're such an odd couple, man,
- 40:18Speaker 5: but I love this guy.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Well that's that's the name of the sitcom that you
- 40:21Speaker 2: guys need to do. Blame Jerry.
- 40:22Speaker 5: Yeah, its tone and Jerry's what we're going with.
- 40:26Speaker 3: Okay, that's a good one.
- 40:28Speaker 2: It is.
- 40:29Speaker 5: Can't be that, all right, fellas, Love you guys. Thank
- 40:31Speaker 5: you'all so much.
- 40:32Speaker 7: I love you.
- 40:33Speaker 5: Back to season two on Netflix right now, get.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Your ectit button, see your Boddy. Take care. Oh man,
- 40:43Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I told him he could swear.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I thought it was just gonna be one for emphasis
- 40:47Speaker 1: and next, and then it was it was it was
- 40:49Speaker 1: like a drug addict and he couldn't stop.
- 40:52Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I am deeply apologetic. Yeah at this point,
- 41:01Speaker 8: you remember that scene in Days of Thunder where they
- 41:04Speaker 8: look at the car and go, hey, look there's a
- 41:05Speaker 8: panel he didn't dont and Robert Devaux kicks it.
- 41:08Speaker 3: Yeah, fuck you.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Dan want you to get spoiled.

- 41:54Speaker 1: He's trade. That was tone uh great to visit with him.
- 41:59Speaker 1: As always, once again, you can check out the second
- 42:02Speaker 1: season of Survival of the Thickest on Netflix. I've actually
- 42:07Speaker 1: lost count of how many sitcoms he's been on, but
- 42:10Speaker 1: I'm glad he brought it up that this is his
- 42:12Speaker 1: first season two of his career. He had the Disjointed
- 42:16Speaker 1: series on Netflix. That's when he met Kathy Bates and
- 42:20Speaker 1: guess they became buddies.
- 42:21Speaker 2: As you heard. There was the first show his first
- 42:25Speaker 2: sitcom that he was on, I believe was Whitney. He
- 42:28Speaker 2: was on like the second time that show got brought
- 42:31Speaker 2: on and he was on as RJ. The Bartender.
- 42:34Speaker 1: There was a show that he co starred with Nina Dobrev.
- 42:39Speaker 1: It was a sitcom. I can't remember the name of it,
- 42:43Speaker 1: but that one had a great cast as well, and
- 42:45Speaker 1: it didn't work, including not Gary Cooper, Gary Cole, Ricky Bobby's.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Dad and.
- 42:54Speaker 1: It's okay Darling, I'm a volunteer fireman and also from VA.
- 42:58Speaker 1: That yeah, Talladeg and I thinking he was on that
- 43:01Speaker 1: show anyway, he's He's worked with some great people. It
- 43:03Speaker 1: just goes to show that a lot of times in Hollywood,
- 43:05Speaker 1: sitcoms don't make it, and it's not always the sitcom's fault.
- 43:09Speaker 1: They can be studio, they can be they didn't market
- 43:11Speaker 1: it right, various things. I'm just glad that he's finally
- 43:13Speaker 1: getting a second season.
- 43:15Speaker 4: Yeah of something well, and that that Warner Brothers things
- 43:19Speaker 4: that sounds like, you know, talk about fickle nature of Hollywood.
- 43:23Speaker 4: With that cast, John Cena and all those other people.
- 43:26Speaker 4: They shelved it so good. Yeah, I'm there releasing that now.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I'm fascinated anytime that Hollywood shelves a movie in today's
- 43:36Speaker 1: you know, in present day, because nowadays studios spend so
- 43:41Speaker 1: much money on movies, for them to shelve one is
- 43:45Speaker 1: almost never other than the Wiley Coyote movie. The only
- 43:49Speaker 1: other one I can think of was Batgirl. And it
- 43:56Speaker 1: sounds like they probably should have shelved the new snow
- 43:59Speaker 1: White movie. Yeah, because it's done so bad at the
- 44:02Speaker 1: box office. I saw I saw this morning. I saw
- 44:04Speaker 1: a headline that the next Disney Princess live action movie
- 44:09Speaker 1: that Disney was going to do, they're putting on ice
- 44:12Speaker 1: because of how poorly snow White performed.
- 44:19Speaker 3: I've that that is just a debacle. And I've you again.
- 44:28Speaker 4: It always goes back to for us when back in
- 44:30Speaker 4: our radio days, when you know that big, mega, multi
- 44:37Speaker 4: billion dollar corporations don't always make great decisions, because for us,
- 44:42Speaker 4: it was always when Howard Stern left Terrestrial Radio and
- 44:45Speaker 4: they replaced him with David Lee Roth. This is CBS
- 44:49Speaker 4: by economy, big multi billion dollar company and all the
- 44:52Speaker 4: talent to select from, and they choose that imbecile. So
- 44:58Speaker 4: sometimes the people in charge are just as stupid as
- 45:01Speaker 4: you can imagine.
- 45:03Speaker 1: Well said, and I had that conversation with Tara just
- 45:06Speaker 1: the other day. The older I get, the more I
- 45:10Speaker 1: realize that the things that I assumed as a child
- 45:15Speaker 1: were wrong. Like when I was a kid, I thought
- 45:18Speaker 1: elected officials were statesmanlike and honorable for the most part,
- 45:22Speaker 1: with some exceptions, and highly intelligent. Same thing with CEOs,
- 45:28Speaker 1: people of authority and positions of power. I wrongly thought
- 45:35Speaker 1: that they were all super intelligent quality individuals, when in
- 45:39Speaker 1: reality they seem to not be by and large. Instead,
- 45:45Speaker 1: instead of the exception being a bad person, now the
- 45:48Speaker 1: exception seems to be a decent person in power or
- 45:52Speaker 1: an intelligent one.
- 45:54Speaker 11: Now.
- 45:54Speaker 4: Yeah, we used to think that the government was smart.
- 45:58Speaker 4: We know that not to be the case. And people
- 46:02Speaker 4: in entertainment, there was a time that we thought they
- 46:04Speaker 4: were intelligent. We have certainly proved that incorrect.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and some of that's are on personal fault. Yes,
- 46:14Speaker 2: we're willing to accept some of the We're not above
- 46:17Speaker 2: accountability here.
- 46:18Speaker 7: Inside of the trio.
- 46:19Speaker 3: We pulled back the curtain.
- 46:24Speaker 2: We hang it up the trap door.
- 46:28Speaker 1: For all things treehouse go to Treehouse on Air dot Com,

- 46:38Speaker 1: Just google the man, or, better yet, look him up
- 46:40Speaker 1: on IMDb and look at that just amazing profile photo
- 46:43Speaker 1: they have of him. That'll make your day right there.
- 46:47Speaker 1: Thanks for hanging out with us here inside the Treeouse.
- 46:48Speaker 1: We'll see it tomorrow right here inside the Treos
