- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, a cupcake. It's a muffin. It's a muffin. It's
- 0:05Speaker 1: a muffin. I got a muffin. Look at that. The
- 0:08Speaker 1: wife made blueberry muffins for breakin. Yeah, she made him.
- 0:13Speaker 1: I missed you. You look so cuddly and huggable. You
- 0:18Speaker 1: look so spelt and chiseled. What you doing eating carrots? Yeah?
- 0:24Speaker 1: Do you remember that story? Have ever told her in
- 0:26Speaker 1: the podcast about Arnod Schwartzeninger telling me to eat carrots? No? No,
- 0:30Speaker 1: what I was I was training for something and I
- 0:32Speaker 1: was working out in the gym with my trainer, and
- 0:34Speaker 1: Arnold Schwartzener walked into the gym, and it was when
- 0:37Speaker 1: he was governor, like he had he had like secret service,
- 0:40Speaker 1: state level whatever they are, state trooper guys with him
- 0:42Speaker 1: and everything. And he's walking around and I didn't know
- 0:45Speaker 1: if he was like there just because he knew the
- 0:47Speaker 1: owner of the gym, or if he was like, I
- 0:48Speaker 1: am governor, I am doing a total of silude. And
- 0:53Speaker 1: then he walks right over to me, and I don't again,
- 0:55Speaker 1: I have no idea if he recognized me as an
- 0:57Speaker 1: actor or if he was just like hello, fellow citizens.
- 1:02Speaker 1: But he walks over to me, and he goes, what
- 1:03Speaker 1: are your goals with your workout? And I was like,
- 1:07Speaker 1: I was, I was in such shock. I just said, well,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I guess the simplest way is to put it is
- 1:13Speaker 1: I like to look like Brad Pitt in Fight Club.
- 1:15Speaker 1: And he has a little pause and he goes, you
- 1:17Speaker 1: have to eat a lot of carrots. Okay, man noted
- 1:23Speaker 1: so for like, for like months, I was just pounding.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Did it work? To this day, yeah, I got a
- 1:32Speaker 1: good shape because basically wasn't even an't even carriage. But
- 1:34Speaker 1: to this day, I don't know if he meant like
- 1:37Speaker 1: like like vegetables or like specifically carrots hilarious. I don't know,
- 1:43Speaker 1: but I bet you had a nice little orange glow
- 1:45Speaker 1: to you. You have to eat a lot of carrots.
- 1:48Speaker 1: That's he walked away. Okay, here's the question, rock cart
- 1:53Speaker 1: rock carrots or cooked carrots. I don't know, but I
- 1:56Speaker 1: love baby carrots, like when you get so little bag
- 1:59Speaker 1: of baby carrots and something snack. We have so much
- 2:02Speaker 1: to talk about. I don't even know where to begin
- 2:04Speaker 1: with you, all right. I don't know where to begin
- 2:06Speaker 1: with you guys either, because so much has happened, yep,
- 2:10Speaker 1: so many things. It's been a minute. The fans have
- 2:13Speaker 1: been clamoring. The fans have been Some of y'all are dicks.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna be honest with you. Some of yall are
- 2:18Speaker 1: not a great way to start a show for the fans.
- 2:20Speaker 1: But ahead, but I'm gonna just keep it one hundred
- 2:22Speaker 1: with you. Don't coming for them. Don't come at me
- 2:24Speaker 1: with I'm lazy, or come at me with you know, uh,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you know, I don't deserve to have my time to
- 2:31Speaker 1: myself or anything like that because I feel like I do.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I feel like I work hard. I mean, I might
- 2:37Speaker 1: not work as hard as some of you out there.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I get that a lot of you work way harder
- 2:41Speaker 1: than I do, and I appreciate how hard you work.
- 2:44Speaker 1: But to come at me and say that I'm lazy
- 2:47Speaker 1: because we haven't put out a show in a couple
- 2:49Speaker 1: of weeks, you can eat a dick dog. That's a hundred.
- 2:52Speaker 1: That's one hundred. Now I'm gonna do a slightly a
- 2:57Speaker 1: kinder interpretation of that and also do some how keeping
- 3:00Speaker 1: overall for the fans. We're sorry we didn't put out
- 3:02Speaker 1: show for a bit. I'm prepping to act in a movie,
- 3:06Speaker 1: so it is one hundred percent my fault, and in fact,
- 3:09Speaker 1: we're gonna take a little break. We're what we're gonna
- 3:12Speaker 1: do housekeeping and Joel correct me if I'm wrong. We're
- 3:14Speaker 1: gonna finish season six, and then we're gonna put out
- 3:17Speaker 1: a really unique first episode of season seven, and then
- 3:21Speaker 1: we truly are going to go on a hiatus because
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm acting in a movie and it is pretty hard
- 3:26Speaker 1: to do this well for you guys while I'm acting
- 3:29Speaker 1: in a movie. I just can't do it. So we're
- 3:33Speaker 1: gonna take a little break. But season we're gonna finish
- 3:35Speaker 1: Season six. We're gonna do today and then the next
- 3:38Speaker 1: one and then the season seven opener is a really
- 3:42Speaker 1: unique episode we did where for the first and probably
- 3:45Speaker 1: only time, we watched the episode live at a drive in,
- 3:49Speaker 1: So if you want to plan ahead, plan to watch
- 3:52Speaker 1: that episode, like instead of just when you're driving, some
- 3:56Speaker 1: of you just watch what you're driving. It might be
- 3:57Speaker 1: a little bit weird to listen to you because we're
- 3:59Speaker 1: watching the show and talking about at the same time,
- 4:01Speaker 1: but anyway, the ideal way for you to listen to
- 4:03Speaker 1: it would be to like sync up watching the show
- 4:07Speaker 1: with our podcast and pause it when we pause it
- 4:09Speaker 1: so you can enjoy it the best way. I'm gonna
- 4:12Speaker 1: We're gonna take a little break. Go ahead, I'm gonna
- 4:14Speaker 1: keep it one hundred with you, guys. It is a
- 4:17Speaker 1: very different version of the show right there. Will there
- 4:21Speaker 1: there might be silence at times, especially if we're gonna
- 4:25Speaker 1: do through. Will cut some out, but but then then
- 4:28Speaker 1: they won't be in sync with what You can't cut
- 4:32Speaker 1: too much out. I was thinking about that, but that
- 4:34Speaker 1: I think it makes it the most optimal experience where
- 4:37Speaker 1: you get to hear us laugh. It's like we're all
- 4:38Speaker 1: laughing at the same Some of you will love it
- 4:40Speaker 1: and some of you will hate it, but just no,
- 4:43Speaker 1: either way, it's the only time we're gonna do it
- 4:45Speaker 1: like that. There will be a small brief break between
- 4:50Speaker 1: the conclusion of season six and the premiere of episode seven,
- 4:54Speaker 1: but it's coming and it will be fabulous and you'll
- 4:56Speaker 1: really enjoy it. I think we're gonna drop that September thirteenth.
- 5:00Speaker 1: All right, there you go. There's your housekeeping, and we
- 5:02Speaker 1: love you. And hey, you don't want us to go
- 5:04Speaker 1: too fast because we're running out of episodes. I know.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I told y'all you could eat a dick. For give
- 5:09Speaker 1: it us for trying to pressure. You didn't mean it,
- 5:11Speaker 1: they didn't mean it. I want to take someone. I
- 5:13Speaker 1: want to take some of them back now. I want
- 5:15Speaker 1: to Can we can we rewind? Can we time travel? No? No,
- 5:18Speaker 1: I don't think you can take it back. But you pass.
- 5:20Speaker 1: It's out there. It's out there. Huh, it's already out there.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I and I appreciate the fans that have stuck with
- 5:28Speaker 1: us and decided to not unfollow me. But for those
- 5:32Speaker 1: of y'all who didst people are passionate about the show.
- 5:39Speaker 1: I get it, and so passionate that they're willing to
- 5:41Speaker 1: turn their backs on us. I didn't turn my background
- 5:43Speaker 1: and you I took a freak on to freaking take
- 5:45Speaker 1: a look. That's like. That's like if somebody you're having
- 5:48Speaker 1: a conversation with somebody and they go all right, hold
- 5:50Speaker 1: that thought. I have to go to the bathroom. I'll
- 5:52Speaker 1: be right back, and when they get back, you're like,
- 5:55Speaker 1: you're a fucking dick man, and you're like, what I talk.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I had to run in the restaurroom to go to
- 6:00Speaker 1: take a break. I did to take a break and
- 6:02Speaker 1: they're like and they're like, no, you fucking tan your
- 6:04Speaker 1: back on me too late? Already follow you on Twitter? Right,
- 6:07Speaker 1: That's what it is, man and miss me. They never
- 6:09Speaker 1: liked me in the first place. They've been waiting to
- 6:11Speaker 1: do it. You've been waiting to do it. I've noticed.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I noticed. I noticed my numbers have stalled on Instagram.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I've noticed. I'm noticed because you don't post of it.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't post them either. I post animation. I post
- 6:23Speaker 1: that motion animation. I give you what you want, fans?
- 6:26Speaker 1: Is that not what you want? Is not what you're getting?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Really good, dude, noticeable in your post class definitely took
- 6:33Speaker 1: an ardument class and they you know, Okay, So there's
- 6:37Speaker 1: a lot of things we have to talk about. One
- 6:39Speaker 1: of the things is uh lighten magic. Uh we need
- 6:44Speaker 1: to we need to discuss that. I don't care what
- 6:47Speaker 1: anybody says, but there's a saying enlightened magic that George
- 6:50Speaker 1: Lucas says. You know, when people are like, I can't
- 6:53Speaker 1: do this, I don't think I can get through it.
- 6:55Speaker 1: I don't know how how are we going to do this?
- 6:56Speaker 1: And you know, he says, well, why don't you think
- 6:59Speaker 1: about it? You know? And you know and uh and
- 7:03Speaker 1: then within you know twenty minutes people have already come
- 7:07Speaker 1: up with the idea right of how they're gonna how
- 7:10Speaker 1: they're going to solve this problem said problem. Um, that's
- 7:13Speaker 1: what Ardmin Academy UH made me do. It made me
- 7:17Speaker 1: really think about what I wanted to do through lectures
- 7:22Speaker 1: and master classes and stuff like that. It really made
- 7:26Speaker 1: me think about it. I've taken two classes now. Both
- 7:29Speaker 1: of them are made were amazing. UM. I took Stupid
- 7:33Speaker 1: Buddy Studios Animation class first and that was amazing. Alex
- 7:39Speaker 1: uh Camer was the teacher there. And then I took
- 7:45Speaker 1: the Ardmin uh Academy course and that was taught by
- 7:51Speaker 1: so many people, but the main guy was the Stute
- 7:53Speaker 1: Stewart UH. And what's great is that you're working with
- 7:56Speaker 1: people who are in uh stop motion animation and actually
- 8:03Speaker 1: are professionals, and you can actually see their work, whether
- 8:06Speaker 1: it be from Stupid Buddies to Robot Chicken and you
- 8:08Speaker 1: know Super Mansion to Ardmin Academies. You know Wallace and
- 8:12Speaker 1: Grommet and and uh you know uh Shawn the Sheep.
- 8:17Speaker 1: It's just so many, there's so many of them on
- 8:19Speaker 1: the artaman side, you know what I mean. But just
- 8:22Speaker 1: to be able to find the Chicken runs. They did
- 8:24Speaker 1: do Chicken Run and they're doing is amazing. They're doing
- 8:28Speaker 1: two two's coming out soon. Oh they wonder. I wonder
- 8:31Speaker 1: what took them so long? That was such a good movie.
- 8:33Speaker 1: That sounds awesome. Well for those of you fans who
- 8:36Speaker 1: are interested in stop motion, obviously, Donald, you're an amazing spokesperson.
- 8:40Speaker 1: What's that? Even? Ardmin? How do you spell ar d
- 8:42Speaker 1: A A r d M A n ardman? Uh? Look
- 8:47Speaker 1: them up? Look up Ardmin Academy. Also look up Stupid
- 8:50Speaker 1: Buddy Studios. They have a class that comes if you're
- 8:53Speaker 1: in the States and stupid. I think it's spelled stop right,
- 8:57Speaker 1: Yeah I do, Yeah, stupids called that way. All right?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Can we talk about another that's awesome and I'm proud
- 9:02Speaker 1: of you. You're killing it. Can we talk about Bad
- 9:05Speaker 1: Girl being canceled? Insanity? Joel, you're the expert on these things.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Um well, I'm not as allowed to say a lot
- 9:20Speaker 1: of fun. I'll take it from my friends marketing and
- 9:24Speaker 1: pr perspective of it. It's an interesting decision. It sounds
- 9:29Speaker 1: variety thinks it's taxes, which seems to be probable if
- 9:33Speaker 1: you don't follow entertainment news. Here's what you need to know.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Discovery and HBO merged into one conglomerate basically Warner Brothers. Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 1: the Warner Brothers, which is HBO's overhead. So they've become
- 9:46Speaker 1: one entity. So now the new heads there are trying
- 9:50Speaker 1: to file down and organize. You know, what does this
- 9:53Speaker 1: new company look like and what are we gonna do
- 9:56Speaker 1: going forward? Um And one of the directives of that
- 10:00Speaker 1: is they want to move away from releasing on streaming,
- 10:03Speaker 1: which is, of course is the big thing HBO did.
- 10:05Speaker 1: And initially that you know, it caused a lot of
- 10:08Speaker 1: concern and you know, actors get paid more and producers
- 10:11Speaker 1: and directors you know, based off of box office, so
- 10:13Speaker 1: you don't want to skip the box office. So it
- 10:16Speaker 1: was challenging and a confusing time. But it was COVID
- 10:18Speaker 1: and they had material to release, so they released on
- 10:21Speaker 1: HBO and it became pretty successful. HBO blew up. They
- 10:24Speaker 1: I think I'm pretty sure they had the fast show.
- 10:27Speaker 1: You're talking about HBO Max, the streaming services where you're
- 10:30Speaker 1: talking about, let's be so HBO Max had this moment
- 10:33Speaker 1: where they were able to create a cartoon that was
- 10:35Speaker 1: so popular. It was able to reverse and go off
- 10:38Speaker 1: of streaming and onto television. That was the Harley Quinn cartoon.
- 10:41Speaker 1: So they were having all of these huge wins and successes.
- 10:44Speaker 1: But the new company doesn't want to do that anymore.
- 10:47Speaker 1: That Girl apparently was meant to be streaming as for
- 10:51Speaker 1: HBO Max. They tested it for audiences. Heard a lot
- 10:54Speaker 1: of mixed things about what happened at that testing. Wow,
- 10:56Speaker 1: you didn't hear mixed things about it being tastic? Well, no,
- 10:59Speaker 1: one's no, no one's rumors or that it tested well,
- 11:02Speaker 1: that's it's not true. A lot of like I mean, yeah,
- 11:05Speaker 1: so oh, there's a lot of critical thought of like
- 11:07Speaker 1: it's not good, But that DC has had a lot
- 11:09Speaker 1: of critical failures that have been huge box office successes.
- 11:13Speaker 1: So there is a fandom that enjoying didn't didn't your
- 11:16Speaker 1: ocams raise your brain? Go to There's no way they're
- 11:19Speaker 1: dumping one hundred million dollars movie that tests well, No,
- 11:23Speaker 1: because they still want to drop a flash and I
- 11:25Speaker 1: heard nothing good about that and it's main star is
- 11:27Speaker 1: a hot mess. I know that Ezra has a lot
- 11:31Speaker 1: going on right now. Um, and uh, it'll be interesting
- 11:34Speaker 1: to see what they do. I just assume by the
- 11:36Speaker 1: same principle that must be testing amazing. This one didn't
- 11:39Speaker 1: test well, and they're like, first of all, it's if
- 11:41Speaker 1: ninety million dollars is the is the budget it's going
- 11:45Speaker 1: to cost, I'm pulling a number out of my ass
- 11:47Speaker 1: fifty to advertise and release it. So they're cutting bait
- 11:51Speaker 1: because it didn't test well. That's my that was my assumption.
- 11:54Speaker 1: It's very possible. I mean, like, like you said, like,
- 11:56Speaker 1: we don't have confirmation. But what I do you know
- 11:59Speaker 1: is the people that directed the background movie just came
- 12:02Speaker 1: off of having Marvel's highest successful show with Miss Marvel,
- 12:06Speaker 1: which has gotten a lot of success and a lot
- 12:08Speaker 1: of praise. I think it was their number one stream show.
- 12:10Speaker 1: So I don't know. I don't know what happened, but
- 12:13Speaker 1: they made the choice and we'll see where it goes.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I was reading the other day a critic who was saying,
- 12:18Speaker 1: you know, typically you have to give these mergers like
- 12:20Speaker 1: eighteen months to get an idea of like what is
- 12:23Speaker 1: the new direction, how is it gonna work. I think
- 12:25Speaker 1: on some level, I'm excited. I love the DC properties.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I think that what's your hot take on because I
- 12:30Speaker 1: saw gossip that even though Flash is testing well. Because
- 12:35Speaker 1: of Ezra's issues, they may dump the Flash, which apparently
- 12:39Speaker 1: costs two hundred night. Yeah, I think they should do that.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Ezra's on a wild path that's hurt a lot of people,
- 12:48Speaker 1: and I don't think that the DCU needs this version
- 12:54Speaker 1: of The Flash or this movie to continue. They're launching
- 12:57Speaker 1: a new sort of direction with Black Adam. I'm starring
- 13:00Speaker 1: the Rock. He describes himself as a franchise Viagra, which
- 13:05Speaker 1: is true. Yeah, the Rocks direct quote, He's franchised Viagra,
- 13:11Speaker 1: and it's true. And I really like only someone like
- 13:15Speaker 1: him could have that kind of confidence because like proof
- 13:18Speaker 1: is in The Pudding Man. Yeah, he does it, so
- 13:25Speaker 1: that is pretty true. He once injected into the blood stream,
- 13:31Speaker 1: he gets the franchise, No pun intended, Rock intended. So
- 13:38Speaker 1: I hope they go in that direction and keep you know,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Jason Momoa seems to be in it for the long haul.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I think they were going to have to do something
- 13:44Speaker 1: with Wonder Woman because that last movie, by I think
- 13:47Speaker 1: a lot of people's own admissions not hot. So we'll
- 13:50Speaker 1: see that last movie was hot. Hot. Garbbage, you know
- 13:56Speaker 1: I have my brain is as someone in the production
- 13:59Speaker 1: industry just goes to think about all the fucking hard
- 14:02Speaker 1: work on both movies and the innumerable hours of blood,
- 14:07Speaker 1: sweat and tears by every from the PA to the producer.
- 14:12Speaker 1: To make a two hundred million or a ninety million
- 14:14Speaker 1: or a fucking one million dollar movie and to have
- 14:17Speaker 1: it scrap is just it's just so sad. I just
- 14:20Speaker 1: feel I feel for everyone involved because the idea of
- 14:24Speaker 1: working so hard on a movie and then no one
- 14:27Speaker 1: ever seeing it. It's not like, oh, you know the
- 14:28Speaker 1: old days, as we all remember the old days. If
- 14:31Speaker 1: if you if you made a theatrical movie and it bombs,
- 14:33Speaker 1: you dumped into videos. Straight to video is a quote unquote,
- 14:36Speaker 1: it was like it was like, oh it didn't work
- 14:38Speaker 1: out straight to video. Now we're talking about movies that
- 14:40Speaker 1: are have been put this much effort in love and
- 14:43Speaker 1: hard working to them and like no one will will
- 14:45Speaker 1: ever see them. I hate to tell you this, Zack,
- 14:49Speaker 1: but this is a format that's been going on in
- 14:51Speaker 1: Hollywood for the longest. In this quoted pilot season and
- 14:54Speaker 1: shooting pilots and then no one ever seeing the pilots,
- 14:58Speaker 1: YouTube been in and beings you're right, them being scrapped.
- 15:01Speaker 1: I haven't heard. I haven't thought about like that. That's true.
- 15:03Speaker 1: But uh, but that being said, I've never been on
- 15:07Speaker 1: a ninety million dollar pilot in life. No, but I mean,
- 15:12Speaker 1: I don't even mean. I mean, obviously it's in the
- 15:14Speaker 1: extreme examples. That's why these movies are so headline breaking
- 15:17Speaker 1: is because a movie with a ninety million dollars production
- 15:19Speaker 1: budget has never been scrapped. That's nuts. That doesn't bode
- 15:24Speaker 1: well for Hollywood either. Like if you're on the outside
- 15:27Speaker 1: looking in, like you know, there are certain bro I'm
- 15:30Speaker 1: not gonna say, there are certain uh senators and congress
- 15:35Speaker 1: people out there that are like this Hollywood. I told
- 15:37Speaker 1: you they just throw money away. They just throw the
- 15:40Speaker 1: money away and they give it to their friends. That's
- 15:43Speaker 1: what you know what I mean. I'm looking at looking
- 15:46Speaker 1: at this, I'd be like, ninety million dollars, throw throw
- 15:49Speaker 1: them ship to me, you know what I mean? Look
- 15:52Speaker 1: at what I can do with that shit? Like god
- 15:55Speaker 1: Man's speaking of speaking of this topic, I love and
- 16:00Speaker 1: I highly recommend to all of you thirteen lives. Now.
- 16:04Speaker 1: This was an MGM movie that was supposed to come
- 16:06Speaker 1: out theatrically and really really deserve to be seen theatrically
- 16:11Speaker 1: if you have the chance, don't do what I did
- 16:13Speaker 1: and watch it on your laptop, because it's a shame
- 16:17Speaker 1: Amazon bought MGM and they decided to just take it
- 16:20Speaker 1: straight to streaming. This is I think Ron Howard's best
- 16:23Speaker 1: movie ever. It's about the thirteen sorry twelve tie boys
- 16:26Speaker 1: and their coach who were trapped in a cave and rescued.
- 16:30Speaker 1: It's Viege Mortensen, Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton. Is that how
- 16:33Speaker 1: you hit Edgerton? And it's fantastic. I'm telling you to
- 16:38Speaker 1: see it. I'm excited about it. But it's what it's.
- 16:40Speaker 1: It's kind of the reverse story where you're like, this
- 16:43Speaker 1: is I mean, I think it could win Best Picture.
- 16:45Speaker 1: It's it's it's it's it's so good and I and
- 16:47Speaker 1: I can't believe that they went Amazon chose to go
- 16:50Speaker 1: straight to streaming with it. How are they're doing any
- 16:53Speaker 1: theatrical releases over there. I mean, I'm sure they'll do
- 16:55Speaker 1: the qualifying may If you look at what Disney Plus
- 16:58Speaker 1: is doing with streaming, I am imagine that everybody's trying,
- 17:02Speaker 1: like why not try and create that type of format
- 17:05Speaker 1: like they put out movies in theaters. And they put
- 17:08Speaker 1: movies out on streaming and it seems to work both
- 17:13Speaker 1: ways for them or am I tripping? I just think
- 17:16Speaker 1: that if you you know, I'm still of this. Maybe
- 17:19Speaker 1: this is old school, but I'm in the school of like,
- 17:21Speaker 1: if it's if it was shot to be a movie
- 17:23Speaker 1: that potentially was made for theatrical leagues, like give it
- 17:26Speaker 1: as shot, give it as give it yeah, absolutely absolutely,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and like and like if it's not performing okay, then
- 17:31Speaker 1: then you and you have a lot of money on it,
- 17:33Speaker 1: then yeah, then go to your streaming platform. But like
- 17:36Speaker 1: you know, I was gonna say, they had a lot. Uh,
- 17:40Speaker 1: DC has had a lot of misses with their movies,
- 17:44Speaker 1: and they put these some of these movies out and
- 17:46Speaker 1: they've been so bad that they've been considered like the
- 17:48Speaker 1: worst movies of the year and stuff like that, not once,
- 17:52Speaker 1: but multiple times, you know what I mean? Uh, And
- 17:56Speaker 1: so I I you know, when when it smells like shit,
- 18:01Speaker 1: eventually you want to freaking wash that thing, you know
- 18:03Speaker 1: what I mean? Like, can I put that on? Can
- 18:06Speaker 1: I get that on my step for my soundboard? Nown? Yes,
- 18:09Speaker 1: it smells like shit, Eventually you want to wash it,
- 18:13Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Or throw it out or
- 18:16Speaker 1: you know what I mean, I don't know. But look,
- 18:17Speaker 1: that's and so I think that's where they are with
- 18:20Speaker 1: with everything. They're like what we're doing with I think
- 18:24Speaker 1: I think the company itself is stepping and saying what
- 18:27Speaker 1: we're doing isn't working. I don't think there's a band
- 18:30Speaker 1: aid that can fix it. Let's just switch everything around
- 18:36Speaker 1: and barely they're looking for one. Oh interesting, See that's
- 18:40Speaker 1: hard to I know. I mean, he's sort of won
- 18:43Speaker 1: a a zillion. But don't you think well, I mean,
- 18:45Speaker 1: I mean, if I was to stars, it's took Star
- 18:48Speaker 1: Wars a really long time to find and they it
- 18:50Speaker 1: seems they found it with uh, with Fav and Feloni.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But uh and and and Figgy. You know, Figy has
- 18:58Speaker 1: been around since the beginning of mar though it doesn't miss.
- 19:02Speaker 1: He doesn't miss. Yeah, he does. Some of those movies
- 19:04Speaker 1: of trash man, Come on, now, let's keep it one
- 19:06Speaker 1: hundred man. You want to watch them all, you watch
- 19:08Speaker 1: them all. I don't watch them all. To be look,
- 19:10Speaker 1: let's be honest, some of those as much as I
- 19:13Speaker 1: want to be in all of the all of the
- 19:15Speaker 1: problems of the right, all of the properties that we're
- 19:21Speaker 1: talking about even Batgirl, I would freaking throw my life
- 19:25Speaker 1: on the line to freaking be able to do all
- 19:27Speaker 1: of the stunts and action shit that they probably did
- 19:30Speaker 1: in that Bad Boy and Kicking ass Man. I would
- 19:32Speaker 1: be so freaking excited to be a part of that,
- 19:36Speaker 1: even if at the end of it they said it's
- 19:38Speaker 1: never gonna come out. But maybe that's because I'm used
- 19:41Speaker 1: to that, you know what I mean. I'm used to
- 19:43Speaker 1: doing projects. I'm used to pilot season of spitting. I'm
- 19:46Speaker 1: so passionate about it, good things right, Thank goodness. I'm
- 19:52Speaker 1: used to pilot season. I'm used to all of these things.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I'm used to feeling like this is it, this is
- 19:57Speaker 1: my big shot, and then it's not happening, you know
- 19:59Speaker 1: what I mean, And then like, are the show that
- 20:01Speaker 1: we're all talk gonna talk about in a couple of
- 20:03Speaker 1: minutes scrubs? Sometimes it does happen. It's the it's the
- 20:07Speaker 1: roll of the dice, and Warner Brothers is willing to
- 20:09Speaker 1: take that role right now. It's willing to roll of
- 20:11Speaker 1: dice right now and say, look, everything that we have
- 20:14Speaker 1: is not working, and we know this, and all of
- 20:17Speaker 1: us know this too. You could say what you want.
- 20:19Speaker 1: There are certain things that are working. There are little
- 20:22Speaker 1: pockets here and there that are working. But let's be honest, man,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you're not excited for it like you're excited for Disney Plus.
- 20:28Speaker 1: When Disney Plus shows up, you're like, Yo, let's go
- 20:31Speaker 1: fucking like the Mandalorian freaking all of these Marvel things
- 20:34Speaker 1: like you get excited for that. And Warner Brothers wants
- 20:37Speaker 1: that too, and they have the properties to do that,
- 20:40Speaker 1: So why not say, you know, what we're doing right
- 20:42Speaker 1: now isn't working. Let's let's figure something out. I agree
- 20:46Speaker 1: with I agree with it. I think it sucks. As
- 20:48Speaker 1: an actor, or as a producer, or as a company
- 20:52Speaker 1: who has invested a lot of their energy into the
- 20:55Speaker 1: DC brands, all of the humans that have been involved
- 21:00Speaker 1: in that, I know it sucks that this is happening. Uh.
- 21:03Speaker 1: And I'm so happy, you know, like a part of
- 21:06Speaker 1: me was a part of this, you know what I mean.
- 21:07Speaker 1: The reason why Legends of Tomorrow didn't come back was
- 21:10Speaker 1: because they were like, we're not going to bring back
- 21:11Speaker 1: all of these shows, you know what I mean. There's
- 21:14Speaker 1: there's petitions to save these you know, Legends of Tomorrow.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It's probably not gonna happen. But it's because they're doing
- 21:21Speaker 1: this and they're trying to reverse or not reverse or
- 21:24Speaker 1: course correct where DC's going, and all of you out
- 21:28Speaker 1: there can say what you want to say and be
- 21:30Speaker 1: like Donald, you're fucking tripping. But as a whole right now,
- 21:33Speaker 1: it ain't working. Let's keep it one. It'd be really
- 21:37Speaker 1: interesting to see. I think it's the only thing really
- 21:39Speaker 1: left to see is if is if they release the
- 21:41Speaker 1: flash or not. That's that's really fascinating thing to think about.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I mean, there'd be no doubt they'd release it, but
- 21:52Speaker 1: it sounds like they're considering it. If it's good. Listen,
- 21:55Speaker 1: how about this. If it's good, I would suggest putting
- 21:58Speaker 1: it out. You know what I mean, I'm gonna keep
- 22:01Speaker 1: it one hundred Aquaman. I like my rumors, My my rumors,
- 22:05Speaker 1: my rumors, my rumor my what do you call my?
- 22:07Speaker 1: My whisperers? Tell me your rumor mill, your rumor mill.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Remember in gamey Thrones, that guy who's like the whisper Yeah, yeah, varius, yeah,
- 22:14Speaker 1: vers my varisses. Tell me it's good for one thing.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Do you listen that song? I just saying me, Yeah,
- 22:27Speaker 1: I said, I texted you saw her song. I don't
- 22:30Speaker 1: really know her. Oh I love her? How do you
- 22:32Speaker 1: not know her? Dude, dude, this song you guys, I
- 22:36Speaker 1: don't have my rig to to play it, but um, Joel,
- 22:40Speaker 1: it's happening. Well next next thing, you know, Zach's gonna
- 22:44Speaker 1: be into neo soul and everything. That would be amazing.
- 22:47Speaker 1: I really like it. Every Joe well, you know this
- 22:51Speaker 1: song her hard Place by her? Yeah, are you kidding me?
- 22:55Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? You know this?
- 22:58Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? I'm in Jim, it's so all right.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So I grew up with no because she probably heard
- 23:06Speaker 1: because I shut something thought there's nothing left, say assistant.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I was driving my assistant and he put this so
- 23:14Speaker 1: caught up place. All of a sudden, I'm like, what
- 23:20Speaker 1: is this? And I got my shazam out. You know
- 23:24Speaker 1: all that. I don't know, but it's amazing. Yeast like
- 23:29Speaker 1: four hundred times today. Yeah, I'm Jim. That's so. That's
- 23:31Speaker 1: what dude. You and I should have been married. We
- 23:33Speaker 1: should have gotten married. We should have just freaked because
- 23:35Speaker 1: I couldn't want to listen to Drake. I don't want
- 23:37Speaker 1: to listen to Drake. You would have been listening to her.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I'm telling you you would have been listening to that.
- 23:41Speaker 1: We listened to the same ship. We should have gotten
- 23:43Speaker 1: married and then had an open relationship where we could,
- 23:46Speaker 1: you know, call the kind of rap is it trapp
- 23:49Speaker 1: we where it's kind of like trap music that's trying
- 23:52Speaker 1: the monotony trap. I'm not into the trap, but I
- 23:56Speaker 1: really like her. Let's all right, our last thing and
- 23:58Speaker 1: then we'll get into the shows that we called scrubs. Well,
- 24:02Speaker 1: I was, I was listening to I hadn't heard this song,
- 24:04Speaker 1: and I was like, oh, it's a trap song. Let
- 24:06Speaker 1: of those sens say this is a trap? No no, no, no, no,
- 24:08Speaker 1: no no, you're conflating two different things. Oh okay, that
- 24:11Speaker 1: song is fire and it's my new favorite song I'm
- 24:14Speaker 1: gonna listen to and I love her voice. I don't
- 24:16Speaker 1: know her song that was a trap. So I grew up.
- 24:18Speaker 1: So I grew up with this young lady named Misha Headman, right,
- 24:21Speaker 1: and she is she works with her. She originally worked
- 24:25Speaker 1: with Alicia Keys and actually works with her. Alicia Keys
- 24:28Speaker 1: I grew up with also. Uh anyway, so I've been
- 24:32Speaker 1: up on her for a really long time. Misha used
- 24:35Speaker 1: to put out like on her Instagram like promotions of
- 24:38Speaker 1: where her would be at the equivalent of hotel, cafe,
- 24:42Speaker 1: small little venues where not a lot of people would
- 24:45Speaker 1: be there and stuff. She's been around for a while.
- 24:47Speaker 1: She can play to gain She's a musician. She could
- 24:50Speaker 1: play pretty much every instrument. And she's got to dyne
- 24:52Speaker 1: in my voice. I think I get what's key for
- 24:55Speaker 1: a lot of young women in this industry. If you
- 24:58Speaker 1: have a baritone voice and you can sing from your chest,
- 25:02Speaker 1: it really does work. Because Lauren Hill her you know
- 25:06Speaker 1: what I mean, It's all kind of like the same sound,
- 25:08Speaker 1: and it's all very she does. She reminded low Register Hill.
- 25:13Speaker 1: But yeah, that could be on the Miseducation of Lauren Hill.
- 25:17Speaker 1: It's no doubt, no doubt. The show was no because
- 25:22Speaker 1: I got to talk about light magic. Oh yeah, let's
- 25:24Speaker 1: do a short thing. There's a Donald's yelling about the
- 25:27Speaker 1: amazing documentary about industrial Lton magic that's on Disney Plus.
- 25:31Speaker 1: I like to bet it in the sequels. It made
- 25:33Speaker 1: me want to watch the prequels, which I don't get
- 25:35Speaker 1: mad I've never seen um, but the movies. The documentary
- 25:39Speaker 1: is so interesting that it makes you want to watch them.
- 25:43Speaker 1: I think, first of all, Phil Tippet, you're my hero.
- 25:46Speaker 1: I've said it to you before, I'll say it to
- 25:48Speaker 1: you again. I've never met him in person, never said
- 25:50Speaker 1: it to his face, never met him in person. But
- 25:52Speaker 1: he is my hero. He's the reason why it's gonna
- 25:54Speaker 1: be your your fiftieth birthday present is I'm gonna I'm
- 25:57Speaker 1: gonna find out how much it is for to fly
- 25:59Speaker 1: Phil Tippet to your house and have him hang out
- 26:02Speaker 1: with you for an afternoon and we just do stop
- 26:04Speaker 1: motion animational. Yeah, and he used animates with you for
- 26:06Speaker 1: like an hour an hour. I need more than that.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I need more than that. I'll pay the extra. I'll
- 26:12Speaker 1: pay the extra if he's into it. I'm gonna find
- 26:14Speaker 1: out what Phil tippets hourly is. It's probably hash. I
- 26:17Speaker 1: don't care. Whatever you get it, whatever you get it,
- 26:19Speaker 1: whatever I l M pays you daily. I think Zach
- 26:23Speaker 1: can match it. That's her fiftieth birthday present. I just
- 26:28Speaker 1: figured it out, all right, count of sand baby, we
- 26:31Speaker 1: gotta start this fucking shop. I know it's been like
- 26:33Speaker 1: a half an hour, six seven eight stories about show
- 26:38Speaker 1: we made about a bunch of doctor nurses, and I said,
- 26:44Speaker 1: he's a stories never so get around you here, yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 1: around here. M this episode it is bizarre, but I
- 27:01Speaker 1: laughed a lot. I did laugh a lot. Also, it
- 27:04Speaker 1: was very It's a very straightforward message though, you know
- 27:08Speaker 1: what I mean, like say no when you don't want it,
- 27:12Speaker 1: or guess what you're doing, you're settling. That's the whole episode, dude, Yeah,
- 27:18Speaker 1: that's and also the other main messages. How parenthood changes you? Well, yeah,
- 27:23Speaker 1: parent who changes how you look, how you look at everything.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Your perspective definitely changes when you realize there's more at
- 27:31Speaker 1: stake other than just yourself. Then absolutely, our best friend
- 27:34Speaker 1: Carrie Brothers, we should announce just had a beautiful, beautiful
- 27:38Speaker 1: little boy. Oh, congratulations. He and Jess, Yes, he and Jess.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Jess had the baby. Jess wiss. Yes, our composer, composer,
- 27:48Speaker 1: a fancy composer wife. She had, she had, she had
- 27:51Speaker 1: the baby. Carrie has she has the vagina. Yeah, but
- 27:55Speaker 1: Carrie did plant his seat. Yeah, Carrie shot shot shot.
- 27:59Speaker 1: He shot a shot shot shot shot shots fired. Ba's exciting.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Our our beste has, our best ease have a beautiful
- 28:10Speaker 1: little baby boy. So welcome to the club, Welcome to
- 28:14Speaker 1: no Sleep, Welcome to all of it. Enjoy it's so
- 28:20Speaker 1: much fun. Yeah. Donald always says all the horrible things
- 28:23Speaker 1: about it, but then he's like, it's so much fun.
- 28:25Speaker 1: How a lot of parents feel. Yeah, yeah, it's the
- 28:29Speaker 1: worst thing ever, but it's so much fun and I
- 28:31Speaker 1: wouldn't try. Well, okay, we are, we are? This is
- 28:37Speaker 1: episode what number? Joel? Six twenty one, six twenty one? Everybody?
- 28:43Speaker 1: This is the penultimate meaning which is one of my
- 28:47Speaker 1: favorite SAT words, meaning second to last episode of sixth
- 28:52Speaker 1: seasons pen Ultimate. I used to think I used to
- 28:56Speaker 1: think it meant last, but pen ultimate means second to last, ultimate,
- 29:01Speaker 1: pen ultimate. Yeah, this is the pen This is your
- 29:05Speaker 1: pen ultimate chance here, yeah right, this is your penultimate.
- 29:12Speaker 1: Your kids, when you're mad at your ultimate pen ultimate chance,
- 29:18Speaker 1: this is your pen ultimate chance. What the heck are
- 29:21Speaker 1: you talking about? There's your second to lasting, me second
- 29:23Speaker 1: to last and me second the last. Remember that penultimate
- 29:25Speaker 1: penultimate SAT? I saw bullet Train too? Wait did you
- 29:31Speaker 1: see did you see tal gun? Maverick? No, I'm gonna go.
- 29:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna go soon. Now are you kidding me? Man?
- 29:36Speaker 1: Don't yell at me. I'm gonna go out still the theaters.
- 29:38Speaker 1: You went and saw a bullet train before you saw
- 29:40Speaker 1: a top gun mater. I'm gonna go see it. I'm
- 29:42Speaker 1: gonna say one thing, though, Can I say one thing
- 29:44Speaker 1: off topic? You never do to my fellow directors and
- 29:49Speaker 1: sound mixers who might listen to this movie. It used
- 29:51Speaker 1: to be the problem that the prince of the film
- 29:53Speaker 1: when you're actually projecting film would always be different. And
- 29:56Speaker 1: the joke with directors is, oh my god, you're never
- 29:57Speaker 1: gonna see it as good as it looks in the
- 29:59Speaker 1: lab again, because always look like shit and the projectors
- 30:01Speaker 1: are all shit. Now it's all digital, and I'm told
- 30:04Speaker 1: the only variable really, because it's binary code, is that
- 30:07Speaker 1: some theaters turn down their bulb to save the lifetime
- 30:10Speaker 1: of the bulb to save money. But other than that,
- 30:13Speaker 1: it's still a digital projection. But the sound mix must
- 30:17Speaker 1: be always different, because I've seen two action movies in
- 30:20Speaker 1: a row now and I can't fucking hear the dialogue.
- 30:22Speaker 1: There's like twenty percent of the dialogue missing, because I'm
- 30:25Speaker 1: sure it sounds amazing in your perfect mixed studio, but
- 30:29Speaker 1: in the movie theater so much with all these actions sounds,
- 30:34Speaker 1: I can't fucking hear the dialogue. Maybe I'm just well,
- 30:37Speaker 1: it might be that. It might be also the theater
- 30:39Speaker 1: that you're in. Also, some theaters are definitely made so
- 30:43Speaker 1: that you feel like you're still in the studio where
- 30:48Speaker 1: the mixer. One of them was Man's Chinese, which would
- 30:51Speaker 1: imagine is probably the best sounding theater in the world. Oh,
- 30:54Speaker 1: I don't know. We might need to beat that because
- 30:56Speaker 1: I don't want Man's Chinese coming after Zach when he
- 30:58Speaker 1: premiers this movie. There. No, I'm okay with it. I
- 31:02Speaker 1: love Man's Chinese. Remember when you said, Zack, remember when
- 31:05Speaker 1: you said out there to suck the sound? You want
- 31:12Speaker 1: to Joe, you want to put your hands in the
- 31:14Speaker 1: freaking cement, didn't you, Zach? I love Man. I love
- 31:17Speaker 1: Man's Chinese so much that when I'm excited to see
- 31:20Speaker 1: a movie, I go, I'm gonna go see it at Man's,
- 31:22Speaker 1: Like this is like the place to see a movie.
- 31:25Speaker 1: But I went to Man's and then I also went
- 31:27Speaker 1: to another giant chain place and it's two action movies
- 31:31Speaker 1: in a row where I'm like, I'm missing twenty percent
- 31:33Speaker 1: of dialogue. Now, I'm sure that it sounds great in
- 31:36Speaker 1: the final mix stage, but like I'm saying, the variable
- 31:39Speaker 1: of picture is kind of gone these days, other than
- 31:43Speaker 1: somebody turning down their bulb to make it to save
- 31:46Speaker 1: life of their bulb with their projector. But the variable
- 31:48Speaker 1: of sound difference is there more than ever because maybe
- 31:52Speaker 1: you're right, some people crank the base for their theater,
- 31:54Speaker 1: or they cranked this or that, and they're fucking up
- 31:56Speaker 1: the mix. So you you're missing like twenty five percent
- 31:58Speaker 1: of dialogue, right, Red, that's my ret I couldn't hear
- 32:03Speaker 1: some of Bullet Train. I totally understand where you're coming from.
- 32:06Speaker 1: I feel like a lot of these movies aren't necessarily
- 32:13Speaker 1: I don't know, I think a lot of these I
- 32:14Speaker 1: think a lot of these movies are missing. It all
- 32:19Speaker 1: goes back to light and magic man. I think a
- 32:21Speaker 1: lot of these movies are missing the mark when it
- 32:23Speaker 1: comes to the things that they can do. So it's like,
- 32:27Speaker 1: all right, you can, we can do anything now, but
- 32:30Speaker 1: the one thing that's lacking is good story. So now
- 32:33Speaker 1: people are, you know, still focusing on we need to
- 32:38Speaker 1: have the best action sequence, or we need to have
- 32:41Speaker 1: the best explosion sequence, or we need to have the
- 32:44Speaker 1: best flying sequence, and they're missing story now and so
- 32:51Speaker 1: you know, did it matter if you miss twenty minutes
- 32:54Speaker 1: of the conversation. I think it does, and I don't
- 32:58Speaker 1: mean and I'm sure the filmmakers and the sound mentres
- 33:01Speaker 1: would would would hate to hear this. You struggle because
- 33:04Speaker 1: I've got it myself on so many times to get
- 33:06Speaker 1: everything perfect. You're literally like, can you turn the fucking
- 33:10Speaker 1: lighter sound down one decibel? Let me hear it like that.
- 33:13Speaker 1: I mean, that's how anal you are to get it perfect.
- 33:16Speaker 1: And then you don't want you don't want the audience
- 33:18Speaker 1: missing dialogue. I mean, it's all supposed to be perfectly balanced,
- 33:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Right? I understand that, But
- 33:26Speaker 1: was that the was the movie about the dialogue? It
- 33:30Speaker 1: doesn't matter if the movie is about it could be
- 33:32Speaker 1: one was Nope, and one was Bulletrain. They're amazing directors
- 33:36Speaker 1: who were telling giant stories. They don't want they don't
- 33:38Speaker 1: want their words missed. I totally hear it. I saw
- 33:42Speaker 1: Top Gun Maverick. There's not a lot of talking in it.
- 33:45Speaker 1: There is talking, and I was able, I was able
- 33:47Speaker 1: to understand everything they said. You know what I mean,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna keep it one hundred. I don't know if
- 33:50Speaker 1: it's the I don't know if it's the theater that
- 33:52Speaker 1: you went to, and I don't know if it's the
- 33:53Speaker 1: creators of it. But I'll tell you one thing. The
- 33:56Speaker 1: special effects meant nothing to me. In Top Gun Maverick.
- 34:00Speaker 1: There's no effects. They really were in the planes. It's real.
- 34:02Speaker 1: But all of that shit wasn't. That didn't mean anything.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Even that meant nothing to me. The story is what
- 34:08Speaker 1: saves that movie. Man, That's what's really great about that movie.
- 34:12Speaker 1: And I think that's I think that's what missing is.
- 34:14Speaker 1: That's what's missing in some of these movies. Now, I
- 34:17Speaker 1: haven't you're saying separate thing. I was saying a diatribe
- 34:22Speaker 1: on sound mixing, and you're saying stories missing. I think
- 34:24Speaker 1: a lot of action movies. I agree. I think that's
- 34:27Speaker 1: I think that's part of it. I think I think
- 34:28Speaker 1: the reason why you missed out on so much is
- 34:31Speaker 1: because they're trying to get the sound so fucking dope
- 34:34Speaker 1: to make it so that the audience is having an
- 34:36Speaker 1: experience from with the sound. And I don't think I
- 34:39Speaker 1: think that's missing the mark. Fuck that shit. Tell a
- 34:41Speaker 1: good story and to sit will all it'll all fall
- 34:44Speaker 1: into place. You know what I mean. I think that's Fences,
- 34:49Speaker 1: the fight choreographer, whoever did the fight and bullet train
- 34:52Speaker 1: it was. It was sort of the biggest standout. I
- 34:54Speaker 1: think it was amazing fight sequences. I think that's the story.
- 34:58Speaker 1: I think that's the story of the movie, though, you
- 35:00Speaker 1: know what I mean, I think the story of them, Like,
- 35:02Speaker 1: I think the story of the movie is check out
- 35:04Speaker 1: the fight that we can, that we can we can do.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Look at our Joey King all grown up and starring
- 35:11Speaker 1: in a movie with Brad Pitt. She's a movie star. Man,
- 35:15Speaker 1: Remember when when you did when you did our scene,
- 35:18Speaker 1: when you did your scene with her, we knew she
- 35:20Speaker 1: was a movie star back then. No, man, she's a
- 35:22Speaker 1: movie star. Though. Man, she's like she's got like she
- 35:25Speaker 1: looked at this all right, the Joey King moment. She's
- 35:28Speaker 1: a god. She's got like. She's so beautiful first of all,
- 35:33Speaker 1: but so talented. She's wish I was here but her
- 35:39Speaker 1: acting and wish I was here. Right, she's so talented.
- 35:42Speaker 1: But she's also quirky and funny, which is so right,
- 35:47Speaker 1: which is so important for an actor, or however how
- 35:52Speaker 1: much an actor. We're still correct way to say it Joel.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Actor is fine actor, but for an actor, and I
- 35:58Speaker 1: don't want to get in trouble. You out, Oh you good? Yeah.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I have always know what I mean for actresses as
- 36:04Speaker 1: actors too, but I don't want to say wrong either, Duelle.
- 36:07Speaker 1: If I'm wrong, I like actor. It's all encompassing. Yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 1: but I think right on. I think it's so important
- 36:14Speaker 1: for actors to have a really good sense of humor,
- 36:18Speaker 1: and she has an amazing sense of humor. And so
- 36:20Speaker 1: she will not only be able to do drama, which
- 36:24Speaker 1: she did and Wish I was here, which she did
- 36:26Speaker 1: fabulously and wish I was here, but she can also
- 36:28Speaker 1: do comedy. She can also do romance. She can also
- 36:33Speaker 1: do actions what we're seeing right now, because she's so
- 36:37Speaker 1: athletic as well. I really do believe she's a movie star. Man.
- 36:40Speaker 1: I'm really proud of her. You said at a Princess movie.
- 36:44Speaker 1: That Princess movie kicked ass. I don't know if you
- 36:46Speaker 1: guys saw it yet. That's where she's like, that's where
- 36:48Speaker 1: she's like a fighter and stuff like that, A fighting princess. Yeah.
- 36:51Speaker 1: The princess is being forced to marry off and she
- 36:53Speaker 1: has to basically like get down the tower through all
- 36:58Speaker 1: of these like an army of people, and so she's
- 37:00Speaker 1: like sneaking around and stabbing him. She's such a badass
- 37:04Speaker 1: in it. Look, I'm just saying, man, we but we
- 37:07Speaker 1: knew this when she was a kid. When she was
- 37:08Speaker 1: a kid, you know what I mean. We knew this
- 37:10Speaker 1: when I wish I was here, when we were working
- 37:13Speaker 1: on wish I was here. We knew that she was this,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and so you know, it's really good to see it
- 37:17Speaker 1: come to fruition. I'm proud of her. I gotta stay
- 37:20Speaker 1: watching her kick ass with Brad Pitt. I felt proud
- 37:23Speaker 1: of our joy king. All Right, why don't we take
- 37:25Speaker 1: a break, and we promise you audience, we will. We
- 37:28Speaker 1: will finally talk about scrubs and television. Okay, We'll be
- 37:31Speaker 1: right back after these words. And ha ha ha ha
- 37:41Speaker 1: ha ha. I sound like I have a cold this
- 37:45Speaker 1: whole episode. Did you notice that I didn't? You did
- 37:48Speaker 1: notice it? I did not. I do notice those guns.
- 37:51Speaker 1: So I do notice those guns, ladies and gentlemen. Days
- 37:55Speaker 1: thems watch this, well, there are ads abdominals as they say,
- 38:04Speaker 1: he insuded that this boy has been putting the work
- 38:09Speaker 1: in at the work, but He's also been putting the
- 38:13Speaker 1: work in at the refrigerator and he is eating chicken
- 38:17Speaker 1: and broccoli. It looks like, no, no, do you have
- 38:20Speaker 1: to do you have to be Oh sorry, do you
- 38:22Speaker 1: have to be nude for this movie that you're about
- 38:24Speaker 1: to do? Um? Not nude. I'm like in bed with
- 38:27Speaker 1: my um with my girlfriend shirtless, so I didn't want
- 38:32Speaker 1: to not look my best. All right, let's talk about
- 38:35Speaker 1: the choke scrubs. Um, I do so a have a cold?
- 38:37Speaker 1: In the voiceover, and uh and on, I just noticed
- 38:40Speaker 1: that little trivia. Um, Elliott is questioning whether she just
- 38:44Speaker 1: to remind everyone where we are, Elliott's questioning whether she
- 38:47Speaker 1: should marry Keith. She's having second thoughts. Um. Kim has
- 38:52Speaker 1: just returned from the conference where we discovered she's pregnant,
- 38:55Speaker 1: and I was lying to me and all of my
- 38:57Speaker 1: friends about lose the baby, and she's actually very, very pregnant.
- 39:03Speaker 1: That was a very formulate funny moment. That's two funny moments.
- 39:06Speaker 1: One where Carlos senses in the force that Elliot's obsessing
- 39:10Speaker 1: and she runs and grabs her. The other one. The
- 39:13Speaker 1: other one is when Kim keeps trying to link with
- 39:18Speaker 1: j D and j D keeps ditching her, keeps he
- 39:24Speaker 1: keeps totally dissing her everywhere and the creative ways. In
- 39:27Speaker 1: the final one, he's literally trying to climb out the
- 39:30Speaker 1: window and she catches him. He doesn't want to talk
- 39:33Speaker 1: about it. He's not ready, but I totally understand. Man.
- 39:36Speaker 1: She totally lied. She said that the baby didn't exist. Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 1: and she really wants forgiveness pretty rapidly. I mean it's
- 39:44Speaker 1: it's a little like, please give me some time, you know.
- 39:47Speaker 1: She's very aggressive, like we literally just left a conference. Yeah,
- 39:52Speaker 1: let's do your lie just got found out, and she's like,
- 39:54Speaker 1: can you forgive me? Likew be my friend again? Yeah?
- 39:59Speaker 1: And and you guys didn't really ever do it. Oh wait, no,
- 40:05Speaker 1: you do do it. Well, you do do it after
- 40:06Speaker 1: they after the baby's created, because you've got there's that
- 40:09Speaker 1: moment where you try to work it out. So you're
- 40:14Speaker 1: definitely banging. You're definitely banging in that profess I don't
- 40:17Speaker 1: remember by can I say bang? Joel is banging at
- 40:23Speaker 1: everybody says banging. Everybody says banging? Right, you bang? Fine? Um?
- 40:29Speaker 1: When did banging not being come? Okay? Um? I don't
- 40:32Speaker 1: I just don't want to be inappropriate, you know what
- 40:34Speaker 1: I mean. I don't want people to be like this, dude.
- 40:36Speaker 1: So Joel will tell you if you've said anything that's
- 40:40Speaker 1: not correct. Um uh so we I just want to
- 40:43Speaker 1: point out that Beard Fisa is definitively the pharmacist. Is
- 40:49Speaker 1: this the sixth episode? Investigation into is Beard Fisa the
- 40:54Speaker 1: pharmacist or not is concluded in this episode because he's
- 40:57Speaker 1: clearly standing in the window talking to someone in the
- 41:01Speaker 1: in the in the lobby, Yes, as he's been before.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Jad's conscience is a giant rabbit in a track suit.
- 41:12Speaker 1: The track suit is because of mister Fortelly, his mean
- 41:15Speaker 1: fizzed teacher, and the rabbit head is because his uncle
- 41:19Speaker 1: once ate a rabbit and got belly. Murms all right,
- 41:22Speaker 1: without saying anything, Zach, Yeah, Joel, do you know who
- 41:26Speaker 1: the Fatelles are? No, Daniel? Do you know who the
- 41:31Speaker 1: Fates are? The Patellis? But last name isn't okays he's
- 41:41Speaker 1: giving a trivia question. Okay, No, I don't know, audience.
- 41:43Speaker 1: Do you know who the Fells are? No? Do you
- 41:46Speaker 1: ever see a little movie called Goonies? Yeah? Just a
- 41:49Speaker 1: little masterpiece called Goonies Classic? Do you know what the
- 41:52Speaker 1: bad guy's last names were for Telly good Yes, yes,
- 42:00Speaker 1: I mean good job, good job, good job. Now, Donald,
- 42:02Speaker 1: do you remember who played the rabbit Franklin got better? Yes?
- 42:09Speaker 1: I think he was our second. He was out of
- 42:13Speaker 1: the second eighty or the first eight I forgot, but
- 42:16Speaker 1: he was a second who got promoted to first. Him
- 42:18Speaker 1: and Scott. I have no idea who the voices do you? No? Okay,
- 42:23Speaker 1: I looked on even on the Scrubs Wiki didn't have
- 42:26Speaker 1: it everything. Trevor Ran got the answers. Zach Um Turk
- 42:32Speaker 1: is so excited about having his baby after he's just
- 42:35Speaker 1: said that women can be cuckoo. We then cuts to
- 42:38Speaker 1: him asking JD to hold his baby over a small
- 42:42Speaker 1: net so that Turk can photoshop his baby. Duncan that
- 42:46Speaker 1: sounds like something you'd really do. Yes, I would do that.
- 42:51Speaker 1: I mean, it's just because I'm into special effects. Like
- 42:54Speaker 1: we talked about light and magic and how much I
- 42:56Speaker 1: liked it more than the sequels. Yeah, just to circle
- 43:01Speaker 1: back to that, reiterate, Yeah, just just to reiterate that,
- 43:05Speaker 1: I too feel like I would take certain situations in
- 43:08Speaker 1: my life and try and do by the way, photoshop
- 43:13Speaker 1: you know where that came from, right, Industrial Industrial Light
- 43:17Speaker 1: and magic Baby just put it out there. It was
- 43:20Speaker 1: one of the guys like little side projects, right, yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 1: it was. Yeah, it was one of the Yeah, it's exactly.
- 43:25Speaker 1: So I'm just I hope he's rich as hell. I
- 43:27Speaker 1: hope no one fucked up his his his winnings. I don't.
- 43:31Speaker 1: I don't think anybody has fucked up their winnings in
- 43:33Speaker 1: that area. No, I'm saying. And the way it is
- 43:36Speaker 1: portrayed in the documentary is that it was like his
- 43:38Speaker 1: little side project and then he invented photoshop, and then
- 43:41Speaker 1: I just hope that he Uh, there was only one
- 43:47Speaker 1: there's only one mistake I LM made. There's only one mistake,
- 43:50Speaker 1: and that was selling Pixar. They're like, I don't believe
- 43:53Speaker 1: in his cartoon ship. Yeah you take it here, jobs,
- 43:57Speaker 1: it's yours. That's true. By the way, I mean, Turk
- 44:02Speaker 1: is holding a point and shoot camera and I just
- 44:04Speaker 1: I just I just was reading and it goes without
- 44:07Speaker 1: saying that the point and shoot camera is pretty much
- 44:10Speaker 1: dead because of the iPhone or because of cell phones,
- 44:13Speaker 1: and and you know, if you want to higher end
- 44:16Speaker 1: pro camera, you go and buy that. But the point
- 44:18Speaker 1: and shoot itself. I just stumbled across an article that
- 44:21Speaker 1: was saying it is pretty much dead because your your
- 44:25Speaker 1: your phone is just as good. Yeah, I wonder if
- 44:29Speaker 1: this was what if people saw this, you know what
- 44:32Speaker 1: I mean? Like you always say, from film, the digital
- 44:36Speaker 1: was a big big is a big big thing, right,
- 44:38Speaker 1: It changed, the revolutionized the industry and everything it all
- 44:42Speaker 1: goes back to It all goes back to light magic.
- 44:44Speaker 1: But anyway, it changed the It changed the industry. So
- 44:48Speaker 1: when it went from film to digital, were they like,
- 44:52Speaker 1: pretty soon, we're not gonna need the camera guys, that's
- 44:54Speaker 1: what this means. We're not gonna need this. We're not
- 44:56Speaker 1: gonna need the point and shoot anymore. Pretty soon, pretty
- 44:59Speaker 1: soon we're gonna be able to use it on our phone.
- 45:01Speaker 1: Pretty Soon it'll be in our eyes. We'll be able
- 45:03Speaker 1: to act, you know what I mean? Like, yeah, well,
- 45:06Speaker 1: could you see the progression of could you see the
- 45:09Speaker 1: progression of how this is all gonna go all go
- 45:12Speaker 1: away eventually? Like well of course started starting ahead ahead,
- 45:18Speaker 1: you go ahead, you go ahead. The special thing is
- 45:22Speaker 1: it's really the glass of a lens, of a magical
- 45:25Speaker 1: lens um. I think so your camera phone is never
- 45:30Speaker 1: gonna well, I mean, obviously one day it could, but
- 45:32Speaker 1: currently doesn't have a magical, beautiful you know, from from
- 45:38Speaker 1: one to one hundred thousand dollars and everything in between
- 45:42Speaker 1: level piece of glass, I should say, to priceless because
- 45:46Speaker 1: a panavision lens you came and buy, you can only reenter.
- 45:48Speaker 1: So it'll be interesting to see if if but what
- 45:51Speaker 1: do I know, but if if the idea of a
- 45:53Speaker 1: pro camera will ever go away. It's hard to imagine
- 45:57Speaker 1: that tech. It's sort of a waste to put that
- 45:58Speaker 1: technology in a phone. Um But but anyway, the market
- 46:03Speaker 1: that was that was holding h like, like obviously a
- 46:06Speaker 1: point shoot camera like a dad taking a picture of
- 46:08Speaker 1: his kid, is now on the cell phone because not
- 46:11Speaker 1: only is the camera quality insane, but you can also
- 46:13Speaker 1: instantly then send it to your your friends and your
- 46:16Speaker 1: wife and your family right away. Man Like, it changed everything,
- 46:20Speaker 1: it really And I like film, man Like, I like
- 46:23Speaker 1: looking at old pictures from when I was a kid
- 46:25Speaker 1: and stuff like that. I like the way that looked
- 46:27Speaker 1: and stuff. Yeah, and it's it's really interesting you look
- 46:33Speaker 1: at the only time you get to see pictures of
- 46:35Speaker 1: people like that, or when they've passed away though, you
- 46:37Speaker 1: know what I mean, because it's been that long since
- 46:40Speaker 1: cameras have since film cameras have been pretty much obsolete
- 46:46Speaker 1: in the in the picture game, you know, yeah, any
- 46:51Speaker 1: of printing pictures even I want to give a shout out. Actually,
- 46:54Speaker 1: I don't even think they're as sponsor of ours. I
- 46:56Speaker 1: doubt there. I wish they would be. Joel make them
- 46:58Speaker 1: as sponsored ours. But frame Bridge, um, I don't you
- 47:01Speaker 1: guys have used this yet. They're really cool. Uh, listeners,
- 47:04Speaker 1: this is not an ad. I'm telling you. If you
- 47:06Speaker 1: just use them, you you literally send them. I think
- 47:11Speaker 1: it's an app. I don't know if it's an app
- 47:12Speaker 1: or it's probably an app end the website. But you
- 47:14Speaker 1: just you upload your picture, you pick a frame, you
- 47:17Speaker 1: pick a matt you can't even choose a little plaque,
- 47:20Speaker 1: and it comes and they sent it here and you
- 47:22Speaker 1: pick the size obviously, and they send it to your
- 47:23Speaker 1: house in like a week. It's INCREDI I just used it,
- 47:27Speaker 1: and it was I used it for a present for somebody.
- 47:30Speaker 1: Image back there. That's frame Bridge. So that magical thing
- 47:33Speaker 1: of like, oh it's annoying to print a picture and
- 47:34Speaker 1: then I gotta get a frame and all that, Like
- 47:36Speaker 1: I'm endorsing. This is my personal non ad endorsement of
- 47:40Speaker 1: Frame Bridge. All right, let's move on. Um Cox says
- 47:43Speaker 1: that pregnant women are allowed to be crazy. Donald your thoughts, Yeah, man, yeah, man,
- 47:52Speaker 1: I mean I don't know how you can when I've
- 47:56Speaker 1: never had my hormone shift so rapidly before. Yeah, you know, Um,
- 48:01Speaker 1: I don't go through a lot of the things that
- 48:04Speaker 1: women go through, from obulating to you know, all of
- 48:09Speaker 1: these things change your pH balance is what I you, Well,
- 48:15Speaker 1: it changes that to the changes, it changes that too,
- 48:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean. pH balance changes. I get
- 48:23Speaker 1: all fucked up, right, but it but it changes your
- 48:26Speaker 1: harm one balance and it changes like it changes your
- 48:29Speaker 1: equal like it it messages with you, you know what
- 48:32Speaker 1: I mean. And it's easy to be dismissive and call
- 48:35Speaker 1: someone crazy, but I think you're allowed to. I think
- 48:40Speaker 1: you're especially if you're pregnant. And that's forcing all of
- 48:45Speaker 1: these changes to happen. And you can't go on medication
- 48:48Speaker 1: to control these changes because it will harm the baby.
- 48:51Speaker 1: You have to let this process happen. So I don't
- 48:55Speaker 1: know if it's called being crazy. I think it's more like,
- 48:58Speaker 1: you know, the baby is running its course through the
- 49:03Speaker 1: mother and you, and the mother is more than allowed
- 49:06Speaker 1: to go through these problems. Yeah, all right, so wait,
- 49:10Speaker 1: let's move on. Jad says that Kim can stay at
- 49:13Speaker 1: his house, which is very nice. Um. He does assume
- 49:16Speaker 1: that she's gonna take the couch, which is which is
- 49:19Speaker 1: funny because like she is pregnant, she's not gonna likely
- 49:22Speaker 1: stay on the couch. But the rabbit is the one
- 49:24Speaker 1: who tells him to give her the bed. But here's
- 49:30Speaker 1: what I understand. The second I mean, Kim is not
- 49:33Speaker 1: even out of the room. Kim isn't barely out of
- 49:36Speaker 1: the room, and Jady puts on a porn Uh. Can
- 49:40Speaker 1: hear the noise. I couldn't believe this was on scrubs.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You can hear like fake porno noises off the TV
- 49:47Speaker 1: and the rabbit. The rabbit is totally cool that the
- 49:50Speaker 1: rabbits like downs like, don't worry, I gotta and he says,
- 49:52Speaker 1: I got, oh, I gotta carry for her. Jad and
- 49:55Speaker 1: the rabbit are watching porn together. Kim hasn't even like
- 49:58Speaker 1: closed the bedroom. She's like pulling her suitcase in the
- 50:01Speaker 1: other room. She ain't coming back out, by the way,
- 50:06Speaker 1: it's you know back in the day when it was
- 50:08Speaker 1: obviously there's it's not on his phone. So he's like
- 50:10Speaker 1: he's watching a movie, like he puts on like a
- 50:12Speaker 1: pornographic film. Do you think he rented it from the
- 50:15Speaker 1: VHS store? You remember when they had like the beaded
- 50:20Speaker 1: area that, Yeah, I never, I never. I don't think
- 50:25Speaker 1: I was ever made it to the age or all
- 50:27Speaker 1: they were alive where I could go to the beaded area. Okay,
- 50:32Speaker 1: so everybody is mad at came at the hospital. All
- 50:35Speaker 1: my friends are coming to my defense. They're rallying around me,
- 50:39Speaker 1: as they should. They you give her the evil eye.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Uh but wait a second, this is where we're having
- 50:45Speaker 1: a She was also a colleague though. Yeah, so a
- 50:49Speaker 1: lot of these people are being very unprofessional. Well they're friend,
- 50:53Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm like Ferris Bueller of the hospital. And
- 50:56Speaker 1: she was there. She was there the whole time that
- 50:58Speaker 1: we were there. That Turk and d with their Kim
- 51:01Speaker 1: was there, the whole doesn't matter. Every everyone the gossip
- 51:04Speaker 1: has spread that she's done something horrible and they're all
- 51:07Speaker 1: giving her the cold shoulder, and it's funny. Uh that
- 51:11Speaker 1: is it's robbed. Uh Ted and Lloyd are together and
- 51:15Speaker 1: they go hussy liar, and then Lloyd goes jerk, and
- 51:19Speaker 1: then he goes, who is that. Church stares at a
- 51:24Speaker 1: blank clipboard just to he's so cocky, Patience, he likes,
- 51:30Speaker 1: he's so we were. Bill is reminding the audience the
- 51:33Speaker 1: stereotype that surgeons are so cocky. Well, they they have
- 51:39Speaker 1: one goal in life, and that's to do surgery's they
- 51:44Speaker 1: want to. And so he didn't even need to look
- 51:45Speaker 1: at the clipboard. He knows he wanted to cut him open.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I already know what I want to do. I'm gonna
- 51:49Speaker 1: cut this guy open. M h. I mean to look
- 51:53Speaker 1: at the paperwork, right and then and then j D
- 51:57Speaker 1: informs Church, look, dude, this is a very dangerous surgery.
- 52:01Speaker 1: It's risky, you know, especially the situation that this guy
- 52:06Speaker 1: is in right now that he's put himself in to
- 52:08Speaker 1: do that could cause this guy's life. And Turk doesn't
- 52:11Speaker 1: give a shit, which is, you know, well I doesn't
- 52:15Speaker 1: give a shit. He's he's being cavalier again, like he's
- 52:18Speaker 1: being a typical stereotypical surgeon who just wants to do
- 52:21Speaker 1: surgery on a guy. And he's being here, I mean
- 52:25Speaker 1: that was my interpretation. It's not it's not like the guy.
- 52:28Speaker 1: The guy would benefit from the surgery, but Turk's not fully.
- 52:33Speaker 1: Turk's being cocky about his ability to pull it off
- 52:36Speaker 1: on an older man without any harm, right, without consequences. Right,
- 52:42Speaker 1: then we have a Lloyd and Charisse making out Charis.
- 52:46Speaker 1: That's Angela Thistle right, that was Angela. Yes, Angela is
- 52:50Speaker 1: one of our amazing writers on the show. She's she's
- 52:54Speaker 1: I believe was last working for Mixed dish Um. It's
- 52:58Speaker 1: really really good talented writer. She's the one that bought
- 53:00Speaker 1: all of that. She's the one that brought all of
- 53:02Speaker 1: the hip hop flavor to Scrubs, keeping in one hundred
- 53:04Speaker 1: with everybody out there, like you know common, all these
- 53:08Speaker 1: people being on Scrubs, that's all Angela. That was Angela's work,
- 53:12Speaker 1: and so she deserves a huge shout out. She brought
- 53:14Speaker 1: a lot of She brought a lot of relevance as
- 53:20Speaker 1: far as like she spoke forth from the hip hop community.
- 53:25Speaker 1: And so when Scrubs had all of that on there,
- 53:29Speaker 1: it was actually genuine because it came from somebody who
- 53:32Speaker 1: was about that, who was about that. She was super cool.
- 53:34Speaker 1: And now this is I believe her only cameo licking
- 53:37Speaker 1: Lloyd's face. Yes, that was a sexy moment. I'm not
- 53:43Speaker 1: gonna lie. Yeah, it didn't look bad. It didn't look
- 53:47Speaker 1: like Lloyd looks like he's doing well. Angela's beautiful. Lloyd
- 53:51Speaker 1: looked like he enjoyed it. I hope she likes speed metal.
- 53:57Speaker 1: That's a good mixture. And then the worst thing that's
- 54:02Speaker 1: ever happened to Scrubs comes out. Are you talking about travelocity?
- 54:07Speaker 1: I am talking about Wait before we get there, let
- 54:09Speaker 1: me just I wrote a couple more things down. That's
- 54:12Speaker 1: the very next thing someone knows. Someone says, how did
- 54:15Speaker 1: you get so good at being mean? And then someone
- 54:17Speaker 1: else says it gets much easier when you're married. I
- 54:19Speaker 1: thought was something relevant to discuss. And then carl is
- 54:25Speaker 1: trying to throw the a big bachelor party just to
- 54:29Speaker 1: establish the story points, and Elliot's being very controlling. She's
- 54:34Speaker 1: a control control, she takes over dude, she takes over,
- 54:39Speaker 1: she takes over a bachelor party. Carlo is furious is
- 54:42Speaker 1: she's and she says, she says something funny. I laughed at. Um,
- 54:47Speaker 1: My grandma still thinks I'm a virgin despite what was
- 54:50Speaker 1: painted on our town's water tower. Elliot's Elliot's. Elliot's like
- 55:00Speaker 1: the Arnold Drummond of Scrubs. Man, everything has happened to her.
- 55:04Speaker 1: Everything has happened to her. She's Arnold and Dudley. Yeah,
- 55:08Speaker 1: that's a different Strokes reference. For those of you who
- 55:10Speaker 1: are too young, all right, Donald, you discussed it. I
- 55:13Speaker 1: believe this is the only time we did this. It's
- 55:14Speaker 1: so cringe. It made me even this many years later,
- 55:17Speaker 1: made my stomach turn. But go ahead. We did a
- 55:20Speaker 1: Travelocity commercial in the middle of Scrubs so we can
- 55:23Speaker 1: make someone, so we can make some Now, we that
- 55:27Speaker 1: so the show could make some funny Yeah, I imagine budget.
- 55:33Speaker 1: What year was season said? What did we go to
- 55:36Speaker 1: the rep? Was it? This is the final season on? Uh?
- 55:43Speaker 1: Is this the Vegas rat Party? I don't know. I
- 55:47Speaker 1: don't know. I don't think that's a good question. I
- 55:49Speaker 1: wonder when the Vegas Rap Party was. All I know
- 55:52Speaker 1: is that we never did this. I don't think we
- 55:53Speaker 1: ever did it again. But this was right around the time,
- 55:55Speaker 1: just for those of you who don't know, No, I
- 55:59Speaker 1: was gonna say right around the time when this sort
- 56:01Speaker 1: of thing started to happen where people were like where
- 56:04Speaker 1: brands were coming into TV shows and saying, hey, if
- 56:06Speaker 1: you can slip our brand in the show, we'll give
- 56:09Speaker 1: you a whole lot more money for your budget or
- 56:12Speaker 1: you know, usually for your budget. Right, that's real, that's
- 56:14Speaker 1: what it was for. Yeah, So everybody and Bill was
- 56:16Speaker 1: saying no, no, no, left and right, left right, other
- 56:18Speaker 1: shows were doing it, and finally Bill caved and said,
- 56:21Speaker 1: all right, we'll try it. And this is so cringing
- 56:25Speaker 1: and bad, but this is a Travelocity ad that we
- 56:29Speaker 1: say in the middle of the show. We even try
- 56:31Speaker 1: to make fun of it. But being like, see, wouldn't
- 56:33Speaker 1: I be a great spokesperson, dude, I'm just saying, man,
- 56:37Speaker 1: look I get it. And I had a We had
- 56:39Speaker 1: some really fun things happen during that season, but this
- 56:43Speaker 1: was a moment where you look at it you're like, yeah,
- 56:46Speaker 1: it's super crazy. Is this where it jumped We jumped
- 56:49Speaker 1: the shark? Is this the shark jump right here? That's
- 56:52Speaker 1: if we kept If we kept doing it, it would
- 56:54Speaker 1: have been But I think this is literally the only
- 56:55Speaker 1: time we ever did. I think Bill probably said I
- 57:00Speaker 1: imagine Bill probably had a lot of pressure and then
- 57:02Speaker 1: finally tried it. Hated it and never did it again.
- 57:06Speaker 1: By the way, Elliott hits three keys, this is such
- 57:08Speaker 1: a so bad. She goes like she literally hits three keys,
- 57:11Speaker 1: and she goes, my whole trip's booked. It's like, Wow,
- 57:18Speaker 1: travel l City really is easy. You just hit three
- 57:21Speaker 1: keys and you're entirely everything you wanted to have happened
- 57:23Speaker 1: on your honeymoon is done. That's fucking hilarious. You don't
- 57:27Speaker 1: you need to put your credit carded? No, you haven't
- 57:30Speaker 1: put anything down. You don't even to pay for anything.
- 57:33Speaker 1: It was so cringe. But I mean a little tribute
- 57:36Speaker 1: I learned on Scrubs Wiki. Someone says that there's no
- 57:42Speaker 1: place truly named Kokomo. What apparently Apparently there are many
- 57:48Speaker 1: places named Kokomo in the United States, including Hawaii. Where's
- 57:52Speaker 1: the real Copa Cabana at That's the question. Cocoa Cabana
- 57:57Speaker 1: was a club, hottest spot north of Havana, Havannah. What
- 58:00Speaker 1: wasn't that New York? Was Cocabana was New York? Was it?
- 58:04Speaker 1: It was like the place to go in New York,
- 58:06Speaker 1: the Copa at the Copa or Miami Coba Cabanat spot
- 58:15Speaker 1: north of so the hottest spot north of Havana if
- 58:18Speaker 1: Cuba is. If Cuba is south, is the southernest spot.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Havana is in Cuba, the hottest spot north. That's everything up. Yeah, yeah,
- 58:30Speaker 1: thanks thanks for that Google. Yes, Cuba Cubana is a
- 58:33Speaker 1: New York night club that existed in several locations throughout
- 58:37Speaker 1: New York. What years? Uh? He opened in February fifth,
- 58:42Speaker 1: opened originally November tenth, nineteen forty and apparently one just
- 58:46Speaker 1: reopened in February fifth, twenty twenty two at the cob
- 58:53Speaker 1: Na The hottest spot north of hot I know is back.
- 59:00Speaker 1: I don't want Does your wife have a hot guy? No,
- 59:03Speaker 1: I don't want hot guy. I think I bet you
- 59:07Speaker 1: he would like to think he's a hot man, but
- 59:13Speaker 1: he is fine when he's not your He definitely sees
- 59:16Speaker 1: a lot of vagina. Anyway, hot guys back and um,
- 59:26Speaker 1: he's he's he's our ob gyn And it's a boy.
- 59:32Speaker 1: And it was moving When JD found out he was
- 59:34Speaker 1: a boy. I thought I got goosebumps. It was funny.
- 59:37Speaker 1: There's a line where I go, it's I go, it's
- 59:40Speaker 1: a boy. What's his name? Yeah, he didn't say that
- 59:47Speaker 1: was cute. Sam Perry Gilligan Dorian is the name. Now,
- 59:51Speaker 1: why did you say Gilligan again? Well, I think it's
- 59:55Speaker 1: implied for for the audience that JD's a big Gilligan's
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: Island fan. I think I say I wanted you and
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: I had battled over it, and you got Chewbacca and
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I got Gilligan for our kid's names, which is what
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: we should probably be accurate, because if I had to
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: choose a pop culture name, I would choose Gilligan over Chewbacca. Well,
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: you don't want to call your kids chewey. That is cute,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: but maybe he's his nickname, not his should take an
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: ad break soon, by the way, because we're not having it.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: We're gonna we'll be right back after these very funny words,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and we're bad. Okay. Um So now Turk, Turk all
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: of a sudden realizes that the patient has a kid
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: and has a grandchild. No, he thinks it's a grandchild.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Turns out that it's a guy's daughter. Oh, that's ship.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: And then Turk realizes, oh, now I have to look
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: at this in a new light because Turk is a
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: new father and he sees the guy as a new father.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: And now he reassesses all of his cockiness, right, and yeah,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: because all of this can be fixed, you know what
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: I mean. The guy puts the work in, puts the exercise,
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: and all of these things that are going on with
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: him can be fixed. And so he wants to give
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: that guy the option before he decides to cut him
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: open um. But that's that's at least Turk the way
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: Turk sees it. Uh. JD for some reason sees it
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: as Church coppying out and being a bit of a
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: h what's the word a coward? And well, I think
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: JD is like, wait a minute, JD doesn't understand, and
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: we're gonna learn that that Church schools him on and
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and Cox school him on. You don't understand. Way you
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: have a kid, everything changes. So JD doesn't understand. That's
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: what Bill's setting up here is is what are you doing? Why?
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Why you you what? What changed? You said? He was
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: a good candidate, You felt confident, you could, your skills
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: were up to par, and it didn't matter that he
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: was older in age and what the fuck? And you're like,
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I don't know how to tell you this other than
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: when you realize when you're a parent, you see things
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: totally differently. I didn't know he was the father of
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: a young kid. Like, now I see it totally differently.
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: Now I don't want to take the risk. Yeah, And
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: which sets up the word no, which I underlined heavily.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: You know, Yeah, because this is a moment where you
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: know that no is probably the heart, one of the heart.
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: You don't have a very difficult time saying that, Zach.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: I've noticed, like, and I know you do have a
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: difficult time saying it, but you're still able to say no,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: even when your body and everything is going against you
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: and saying just say yes, dude, You're still capable. You're
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: still able to say no. That's a very good quality
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: to have. As much as people might think no is
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: a bad thing. To the ability to say no, it's
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: such a freaking great power, you know. And uh, and
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: that's what we explore in this moment in Scrubs and
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: how in so many different ways it can affect people.
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: It con affect people in a positive way, and it
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: can affect people in a negative way. And uh, it's
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: just you know, I for some reason, I took that moment,
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: this this moment in the whole show. I was like,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: this is a great life lesson for anyone out there.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: You know, um, we say yes to so many things
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: because we don't want to let anyone down, or we
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: want to feel like we're pleasing people, or you know, uh,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: we're we're scared that how we're gonna be perceived if we,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: uh don't go with the crowd. Sometimes saying no. Most
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: of the times I find saying no it's very rewarding
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: and it and it keeps you out of a lot
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: of the shit that you don't want to be involved in.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: You know, um uh it might take you to be
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: you're late forties to realize that. So we're we're we're
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: teaching you younger folks now learn now. Well, I've been listen.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: I've been watching you do it for the longest. Like
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: I've seen things where people would be like, yo, you
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: want this, and it would be something that's it's not
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: maybe the coolest thing in the world, but you could
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: tell that, you know, it's it's something that somebody offered.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: But when you when they give it to you, what
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: are you gonna do with it? I'm gonna I can't,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: I can't do anything with it right now? Where am
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: I gonna hold it? Where? Where am I gonna put it?
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: Where can I do? And you're very capable of saying
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: no in a in a nice way, of course. Absolutely,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: I'm the guy that would be like, yeah, sure, and
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: then when the dude turns his back, try to figure
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: out what the fuck am I gonna do with this thing?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: What am I gonna do with this thing? You know
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: what I mean? When the way that I don't and
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: and and don't let him see me do whatever it
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: is that I do with this thing, you know what
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: I mean? When the better choice would have been to
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: just be like no, sorry, man. Well, I never read
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: the books The Four Agreements. No, either of you, Jowell
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: or Daniel, I have not know. I highly recommend this
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: book to everybody. Um, it's short, you'll read it very quickly.
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: But one of the main tenets of it I just
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: googled it to make sure I didn't fuck it up.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: But it's um to be impeccable with your word. Speak
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: with integrity, say only what you mean, Avoid using the
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: Use the power of your word in the direction of
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: truth and love. Now, that is a way more articulate
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: way of just u of saying, be truly honest and
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: and and you'll get yourself out of so many problems
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: if you're you're straight and direct and so yeah, I
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: think that if you're if you're feeling no in your
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: brain and no is true for you, you need to
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: say no in a in a kind, friendly manner. Okay,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: So I know this is going to skip a lot
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: of things. But then at the end of this show
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: we go completely against this lesson and j D says,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you know what, bucket, let's try and do this. But
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: we know what we know. We have the we have
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: the vantage point of knowing how that works out for him.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: The audience, the audience at the time doesn't. But now
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: those have seen the whole series know how going against
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: what he felt, going against his integrity, how that worked out.
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: It didn't work out. Well, um, skip, you skipped one
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: thing I want to talk about. Well, first of all,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Turk ran into ugly Betty at Cosco. I thought it
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: was a photoshop, but you didn't run into um. And
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: then the funny thing in the in the in the cafeteria.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: All right, So I felt saw this on The first
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: thing I saw was on Scrubs Wiki, was that when
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: the janitor confronts JD because he's happy that everyone's turn
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: roman there matting janitor barely has any storyline in the
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: whole Yeah, it was, you know, it's a two part episode, uh, basically,
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: And and there was no room for for Neil in
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: this episode, I guess, but he has two sentences. But anyway,
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: when he comes back in the cafeteria and it's said
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: on scrubs WICKI um that on the lunchboard behind him
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: that dessert was spelled wrong. It was spelled as desert.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: So I thought that was kind of interesting, and I
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: paused on it, and then I noticed something that's not
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: on scrubs Wicky, but it should be, is that under
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: drinks the only thing it says under drinks is hot carls. Now,
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: for those of who don't know Daniel, can you google
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: what a hot Carl is? Oh no, Daniel, don't do that.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: Your search engine will be fucked up forever. Oh it's
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: it's too late, my search it be fucked up forever.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a It's not good. Is it pooping
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: on someone's chest while while having sex? That's well's I mean,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: for whatever reason, I'm not quite sure why this is
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: an addition to the defication, but it's someone who is
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: usually covered in plastic wrap. Wait, the pooper or the
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: poop the poop bee is covered in plastic wrap and
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: then defecated upon. Oh sounds so sexy. You can't feel
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: it at all. You can feeling it all over people,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: all right, So anyway, you should pause audience if you're
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: ever watching these episodes on the janitor shot in the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: cafeteria because dessert is spelled wrong and the only thing
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: they offered to drink is a hot Carl Buddy Patrick Bolton,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Uh fucked up? Or he nailed it. He nailed it.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Somebody at Disney right now. It's like this mother, we
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: got a problem, Like whoever did that? Like we gotta
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: we gotta, we gotta fix this. Cox has seen the
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Wiggles live in concert twice. Yeah, that's the thing I
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: find myself doing a lot. You know the soundtrack that
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: I'm listening to in my Ionic five right now that
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: I'm driving around Lovely Hyundai Ionic Car, beautiful Car, beautiful Car,
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: wonderful Car, Um the Zombies three soundtrack, And I'm gonna
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: be honest with you, Shit's fire. Do you listen to it?
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: When your kids aren't in the car. When they're not
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: in the car, I find myself come on out, come,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: come on out now in the park in the wild, Hey,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: come on out now. Listen the fire. Did you see
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: that viral video? I think I probably said it to
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: you of the dad jamming ounce of the like Kids
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Show song. He was like, dude, they're fires, They're fired.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: I listened to the Zombie's three soundtrack like it's freaking
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: religious tapes and it's Sunday, and I got the kids
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: in the car and we missed church and we're on
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: our way to Disneyland, Like you know what I mean.
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: I listened to it. I love it. I love that
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: you listen to it without the kids of the car.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: That's my favorite part. It's it's you. You probably wouldn't
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: put on the Wiggles Red Car though, No, no, no,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: no no, But like Zombies three soundtrack, high School Musical
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: sound the High School Musical, the Musical series or whatever. No,
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: I don't. We watched that too. Olivia Rodrigo be killing it,
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: that all of them be killing it, like for real, man,
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: we kids. I didn't have this when I was I
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: take it back. There was one show back in the day.
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Two shows back in the day that did give you
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: to good music, and they were slept on heavily, and
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: one didn't last long. There was two one Jam is
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: truly outray He just truly, truly truly outray. He just
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: whoa jam jam? That show was. The music on that
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: show was bomb that one. And then everybody slept on
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: this show back in the day. But Rags to Riches
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: Man had. What they did was they took like old
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: school music and then remixed it, and so it would
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: be like, so you know how I love him, I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: love him, I love him, and where he goes, I follow,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: I follow, I follow. They did a remake of it
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: and this girl singing it about this boy that she
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: likes who plays basketball, and back in the day that
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: that one, and what was the other one that came out.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: We were in high school when this came out, and
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: all of our peers were in it too, like high
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: school high or something like that, and it was like
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: it only it happens, but somebody out there knows what
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I'm talking about. Once and a live time, right, Carl
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: Payne was in it. You only get a chance like
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: this once in a live time. Mark Blucas was in it.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: I think I know no Mark Blue when I went
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: to high school with it was in it. Also is
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: a TV show or a movie a TV show And
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: it didn't last long. Musicals never last long. Cop Rock
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: doesn't didn't work cop Rock, cop Rock. That was a
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: big swing. What was the other one? The law? The
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: the LA law? What was the one where it was
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: the musical and it was a law show too? Musical
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: law show? No, but you have not. It was really bizarre.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: It didn't last long, but it was like NYPD Blue,
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: but they would break into song. No musical television show
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: lasts long like that. Yeah, man, dude, that show didn't
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: come on man. It was a syndicated show though. Bro.
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: It was like trying to think of an example. Why
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: are you qualifying it. I'm just thinking an example of them.
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I'm just saying it wasn't like that ship came on
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: ABC or CBS or NBA. Also wasn't it also wasn't
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: like a show that where they broke into song like
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: a musical. The music was like like in context of
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: they were singing because they were in a school where
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: they saw right, no in fame, they would be walking
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: down you freaking de Lancey Street and all of a
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: sudden breakout to come. Oh, it was like glee like that,
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: because I know the wind that bought us didn't mean
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: let's finish this girl. There are a lot of people
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: out there that know what I'm talking about. Carla plans
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: a mega choose your own adventure Batchel the rep party.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: I mean, she really comes through. But that's that's what
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: she would do for anyone. You know, that's like the
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: so we talk about how Carl is the heart of
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: the show and this episode needs that big moment because
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: there's so much disappointment. You know, JD goes against what
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: he should do, and and the other storyline is, you know,
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Elliott taking over this moment for even though it's her wedding.
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: Her taking over the moment of bachelorette party or planning
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: the wedding plant Starry, planning the festivities that the maid
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: of honor has, she took She's taking that away from Carla.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: But she did it. You know what was so genius
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: about what Carla did was she she did it the
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: ultimate Elliot way. Yeah, she did, like I choose your adventure,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: So like I booked this, I booked four versions of that.
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: I've got three versions of that. If you want to
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: pick up so and so she's on the corner, if
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: not duck, which was such a disc of that woman.
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: But anyway, but it was fun. Casey was like, that's
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: kind of fucked up. It is, but I was. And
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: then I said to Casey but she didn't know what happened,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: so who cares? Yeah, but they told her, like, wear
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: a nice dress and wait on the corner. Something might
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: happen to you. I gets so fucked up. Well it
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: didn't though. Sorry, that character got all dolled up and
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: still on the corners and they got dissed. Well, She's like,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: I guess I'll go get dinner. I don't know what
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: that was about, Carla, what's that about? Anyway? I thought
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: that was a very sweet ending. And then JD, you're right.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: He decides Uh to settle Kim. Kim wants him to to.
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: He says, you know, there's a one in a million
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: chance that I'm gonna forgive her. I'm gonna try. That's
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: he settles, man like, and that's I don't think that's
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: a good and we know how it ends. But at
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: the in that moment, in that point in time. I
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: don't think that's a good message for j D too. Yes,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: but it's very good, uh series screenwriting to make you
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: want to tune in next week. Absolutely all thanks to
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: over our over lord, William Van Duser, Lawrence the Third
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: I think, or the fourth. But that's kind. It's a controversial.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: It's a controversial thing, uh, if anything, you know, Yeah,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: but it's relatable. I think lots of people can relate.
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: But it's so. But if a TV show makes you go,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: oh my god, I've made that fucking mistake, I'm so
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: glad it's not me. I can't wait till next week
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: when I can watch him fuck up. Yeah, all right,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: that's it. We did it, everybody. We love you. We
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: told you the plan. We got one more. Then we're
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: gonna take a little break. Then we're gonna do seven
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: and one, and then we're gonna take like a two
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: month break, right Joel while I make a movie. Yeah,
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: but we love you all very very much. Anything you
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: want to say, Donald Phazon listen. I don't know why
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I say that. And I get so mad at actors
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: when I'm watching movies and they start with a sentence
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: by going listen or look. Does that piss you off? Ever? No? Okay,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: when you're watching movies and the actor is in a scene,
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: this is the one thing I want you to look
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: for it. I look for it all the time. These
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: are the two words that you hear. Always listen and look,
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: sometimes without Sometimes it's every fucking line. Look, look, Look.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: Every line starts with look or listen. Listen, listen every
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: line anyway. You know what pointed me off when they
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: remove the rear view mirror because to get a better
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: shot of the person. I can't stand that shit in there, dude,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: what the look? I am up? Hey, young filmmakers, old filmmakers,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: don't fucking remove the rear view mirror. I am of
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: the I am of the If you can't do it
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: in real life, don't do it on CG. You know
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: what I mean. I don't want to do his headrest.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: I've seen some headrest missing now too, the headrest, BacT.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: What the fuck are you doing? If I got to
- 1:17:59Speaker 1: wear a seat belt? Do you remember when we remember
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: when you didn't have to wear the seat belts in
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: the movies? I know now they won't let you shoot
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: anything out a seatbelts in the front seat. No, period.
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: I think you a adults can be in the back
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: seat without a seatbelt on. There's no it depends on
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: the company. I think it depends on the company anyway.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: But anyway, don't take off the rear view mirror. My
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: point is I would saying I started my sentence with, listen. Uh.
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: I am really excited to have this moment of you know,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: just getting my ship back together. Uh, because this whole
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: summer vacation, I'm looking at it as a summer vacation.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I've been hanging out with my children, which has been
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: such a great blessing and such a great thing. But
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: it's taken me away from uh my weed. Not my weed,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: I still smoke that shit, but it's taken me away
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: from what. It's taken me away from, you know, my craft,
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: my passion and stuff like that. And so I'm really
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: eager for them to go back to school so I
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: can figure out, you know, what the next step is,
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: because as of right now, I am enjoying watching them grow.
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: That's really all I want to do. I wake up
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: in the morning and I'm like, what's on the calendar.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: I got a couple of work things, and other than that,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: watching the kids grow, you know. And I am really
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: looking forward to these next two months where I don't
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: have to as much as I love doing the podcast
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: and everything like that, before we do it, it's a
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: big stress. It's a big stress, you know what I mean,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Like getting getting it's almost like fantasy football, getting the
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: freaking uh, making sure I get my notes in, making
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: sure I get all of that stuff. Well, I think
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: what you're saying is so that we all we always
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: you know, we don't phone this in. We really we
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: want to put on an entertaining show for y'all, and
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: and Donald and I do our homework and we want
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: to I still this many episode it's in um like beforehand,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: I'm like, oh gosh, I hope you're entertaining today, Zach,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: come on, you got thee. So I always stress out
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: about I don't want to be I don't want to
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: have to be like Daniel. Cut that. Please cut that, Daniel,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: please cut that when we do our notes and stuff
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: like that. So I am gonna miss you guys. I
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: am gonna miss you know. I got one more I
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: know we got one more episode, and I am gonna
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: miss you guys. But I'm very excited to have a
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: moment to you know, decompress and and I'm excited to
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: listen to your favorite song over and over again. If
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: it's nothing, if it will change. I'm caught up in
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: y'alla and a hard place. But if nothing, Dad to say,
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: but I'm caught up in yalla and a hard place.
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: All right. We love you all. Five six sor about shore.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: We made a job Dotson nurses Jan Janitor, who loved him.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: I said, here's the stories. Netural should not
