Speaker 1: Team Up Play Show podcast. The shoot in the city
• 0:29
Speaker 1: of New Babel has been mysteriously kept safe from prying eyes,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: from authorities, from enemies with ill intent by one known
• 0:47
Speaker 1: only as the Wraith. You have found the way that
• 0:55
Speaker 1: the Wraith gets around so quickly and left her a
• 0:58
Speaker 1: little note. And now you stand there on the top
• 1:05
Speaker 1: of the shoot as she has spoken to you through
• 1:10
Speaker 1: a walkie talkie. She has told you that if you
• 1:14
Speaker 1: attempt to move, if you attempted to move on her,
• 1:19
Speaker 1: she would kill at least one of you before you
• 1:21
Speaker 1: got there, probably two in this moment. How are the
• 1:27
Speaker 1: three of you feeling what's going on on the inside.
• 1:31
Speaker 2: Rigel's heart is pumping, beating fast. Beats of sweat form
• 1:37
Speaker 2: on his forearm. He realizes a scope or of some
• 1:43
Speaker 2: sort is probably centered on him right now.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: But he's excited. He's so close to meeting a legend.
• 1:51
Speaker 3: I'm looking for a little lasers. Is there lasers on
• 1:54
  Speaker 3: any of us?
• 1:56
Speaker 1: No? Lasers? Are they made of paper?
• 1:59
  Speaker 4: Paper?
• 2:00
  Speaker 1: Is the.
• 2:04
  Speaker 4: Gun?
• 2:06
Speaker 1: Is paper? Gunpowder? Made of little tiny shird pieces of paper?
• 2:13
Speaker 4: Is there writing on the gun? Does that make it paper.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he's gun Paper.
• 2:21
Speaker 5: I think Quanta is scared, but mostly senses Jamier's intense
• 2:28
Speaker 5: feelings in the moment and just like puts a studying
• 2:33
Speaker 5: hand on his shoulder.
• 2:35
Speaker 1: Who so, uh what do y'all want?
• 2:46
Speaker 3: Well Upso? Hello, my name is the paper phantom. What's
• 2:52
  Speaker 3: your name?
• 2:54
Speaker 1: The Wraith? Is that? What can we call you? Respect?
• 2:59
Speaker 3: Missus, the rath professor Wraith. Let's we gotta don't shoot us? Hello,
• 3:07
Speaker 3: you got our note?
• 3:08
Speaker 1: I see? Have you guys ever been in social situation before?
• 3:13
Speaker 1: Come on, guess yes, I did get your note, and
• 3:18
Speaker 1: I'll have you know that Normally, historically, if someone's gotten
• 3:24
Speaker 1: this close to me to finding out how I get around.
• 3:28
Speaker 2: We don't have this conversation understood. I'm a huge fan.
• 3:54
Speaker 2: Thank you for saving my life in that flight the
• 3:57
Speaker 2: other day that was in I am incredibly in your debt.
• 4:03
Speaker 2: We're trying to do good in this city like you've
• 4:11
Speaker 2: done in the Shoot for so long. I'll you probably
• 4:15
Speaker 2: you might know who I am. I was born and
• 4:17
Speaker 2: raised in the Shoot. Nothing but respect. We're just wondering
• 4:25
Speaker 2: if you'd be interested. We're putting together a team in
• 4:31
Speaker 2: taking down some real bad guys. That are messing up
• 4:35
  Speaker 2: our city.
• 4:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, help please, that's Quanta. This is Rachel and Pipper Phantom. Hi,
• 4:42
Speaker 1: this is mister Crinkles. Hello Quanta. You feel it before
• 4:46
Speaker 1: you hear see anything but the disc behind you, the
• 4:51
Speaker 1: small platform begins to energize. Oh shit, I think she's
• 4:54
Speaker 1: coming here. And then behind you the raith arrives. You
• 5:03
Speaker 1: see a woman who is old but somehow not old.
• 5:11
  Speaker 6: Say more, that's a rifle.
• 5:22
Speaker 1: Let's all name our favorite, Sigourney Weaver. I would say,
• 5:29
Speaker 1: just at a basic glance, Jamie Lee Curtis.
• 5:33
Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what she looks like in my bro Jamie
• 5:36
  Speaker 5: Curtis rifle.
• 5:38
Speaker 1: She doesn't look like James, haven't. I mean, she can
• 5:43
Speaker 1: look like whatever. So that's the magic about audio only
• 5:47
  Speaker 1: t t r pg's actual play is that they can
• 5:51
Speaker 1: look like whatever you want them to look like based
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: on my description.
• 5:55
  Speaker 4: Until I draw a picture.
• 5:59
Speaker 1: With a gun, I can't drop. Sorry, go ahead.
• 6:04
Speaker 2: Do you see my Susan Sarandon photos Watch Street?
• 6:12
Speaker 4: Do you think this is gonna make it into the cut?
• 6:16
Speaker 1: No way? All right?
• 6:20
  Speaker 4: Susie looking good?
• 6:22
Speaker 1: The girl from the Lady from speed Racer. She's speed
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: Racer's mom.
• 6:29
Speaker 3: Famously most famously speed Jesus Christ speed racers. Okay, at
• 6:42
  Speaker 3: an initial.
• 6:42
Speaker 1: Glance, she's she's old, her eyes are old, her her
• 6:48
Speaker 1: hair is silver. But she looks fit. She looks looking
• 6:52
Speaker 1: at her face, you my guess that she's much older
• 6:55
Speaker 1: than the way that her body carries itself and holds itself.
• 7:00
Speaker 1: She has on a dark blue coat that goes down
• 7:06
Speaker 1: to her shins and is carrying the longest gun that
• 7:14
Speaker 1: you could imagine double her height. Maybe not quiet, but
• 7:20
Speaker 1: it buster yeah, buster sword style. It's at least her
• 7:26
Speaker 1: hYP nice, cool, and carries it effortlessly.
• 7:31
Speaker 5: Do my quantu thing of invading privacy and age her
• 7:35
Speaker 5: with a scan of her brain. Yeah, some carbonating No, No,
• 7:42
Speaker 5: I'm yeah, And I'm not trying to date her. I'm
• 7:44
Speaker 5: trying to carbon date.
• 7:45
Speaker 1: Her, carbon date her, not go on a date with her,
• 7:48
Speaker 1: or age her like a wine.
• 7:49
Speaker 4: Yeah, neither of those things yet the.
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Night is yet, Yeah, rolla knowledge check us. Now you
• 8:01
Speaker 1: got to keep all that in. I know now to
• 8:05
Speaker 1: go in. Sorry, listeners, it's gonna be called back. Hey,
• 8:11
Speaker 1: if you haven't thought about Susan Sarandon in a while,
• 8:14
  Speaker 1: you're welcome. Today's You're Lucky Day.
• 8:16
Speaker 4: I rolled pretty good.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: Okay, hold on, I'm worried you're gonna beat me on
• 8:21
Speaker 1: this roll, so I need to actually look up how
• 8:23
Speaker 1: old she is. What'd you roll?
• 8:25
  Speaker 4: Ten?
• 8:26
Speaker 1: Ten? Yeah? Okay, this is a challenging check. So I'm
• 8:30
Speaker 1: rolling a D ten nice, pretty good odds. I rolled
• 8:34
Speaker 1: a ten. Oh you tire, you cry? But she's I
• 8:41
Speaker 1: think you don't have an exact number on on that
• 8:44
Speaker 1: mild failure, but you get the sense that she is
• 8:49
Speaker 1: older than the heroes you saw the memory of in
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: the Eva War.
• 8:55
Speaker 5: Okay, it's like older than Dirk would be if he
• 8:58
Speaker 5: hadn't older than Dirk.
• 8:59
Speaker 1: I should say, I should say rather about that age,
• 9:03
Speaker 1: about Dirk's age. Yeah, I tilt my head down. Do
• 9:08
Speaker 1: you know? Do you know this this face?
• 9:11
Speaker 3: Arthur don't no, uh uh sorry, But she's pretty Susan
• 9:18
  Speaker 3: Sarandon type nice.
• 9:22
Speaker 5: There's a lot of hss that got burned in the library.
• 9:25
  Speaker 1: That yeah.
• 9:27
Speaker 3: Mostly speed Racer. She's known mostly as the mom from
• 9:33
  Speaker 3: a speed Racer.
• 9:34
  Speaker 1: In this universe.
• 9:35
Speaker 2: She got her own spin off movie after speed Racer
• 9:38
  Speaker 2: as Susan.
• 9:40
Speaker 1: Sarandon and Chimpy. Oh my god, you guys, she's got
• 9:44
Speaker 1: a drive for her kids mom racers.
• 9:47
Speaker 5: But then at the end of the day, the kids
• 9:48
Speaker 5: learned she was driving for herself all along.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: Wow, that's okay, Susan. I love that movie. I love
• 9:54
Speaker 1: that movie, Susan Racer. You don't get into a car
• 9:59
Speaker 1: to drive, You get into one because you're driven. Yo.
• 10:02
Speaker 1: Oh damn good tag line. Anyway, it's just from the movie.
• 10:07
Speaker 1: Shout out to speed racer, guys, shout out to be
• 10:10
Speaker 1: Razor always. The Wraith steps off of her platform. Though
• 10:17
Speaker 1: she is not a large woman necessarily, she is imposing
• 10:23
Speaker 1: the aura of fear leaks out of her just because
• 10:30
Speaker 1: of the number of heads that have exploded at her trigger. Yeah.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: I've been keeping updated on the three of you a
• 10:43
Speaker 1: little bit, and you're asking me now to fight in
• 10:46
Speaker 1: your war. I mean, if anything, we're late comers to
• 10:50
Speaker 1: your war, ma'am. Mm hmm, about sixty years late. I
• 10:56
Speaker 1: fought my war a long time ago.
• 10:59
Speaker 3: Would it mean anything to you to know that we
• 11:04
Speaker 3: know Everwing and bright Blade and Spellbook m hmm.
• 11:11
Speaker 1: I've seen heroes before. Now I see him again. Cause
• 11:17
Speaker 1: more trouble if you ask me disturbing the status quo.
• 11:22
Speaker 1: We had something worked out, you know, they stay out,
• 11:27
Speaker 1: they stay out of her way, and if they don't,
• 11:31
Speaker 1: I get to pop their heads her. Yes, Cordela, she's silent. Well,
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: I'm I'm worried that.
• 11:50
Speaker 2: We're at a moment where this status quo is about
• 11:54
Speaker 2: to get a hell of a lot worse unless people
• 11:59
Speaker 2: like do something. Yeah, well that's the problem with heroes.
• 12:05
  Speaker 3: Eh, sorry, weren't you You're not a hero. You're like
• 12:11
Speaker 3: it seems like you were real, real, pretty jaded about
• 12:13
  Speaker 3: it all.
• 12:14
Speaker 1: Something happened. What's going on? I'm not a hero, never
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: was I was? You know, I don't. I don't know, y'all. Nothing.
• 12:27
Speaker 3: No, no, but you are standing here answering a note.
• 12:32
Speaker 1: I came here to check in to see if there
• 12:35
Speaker 1: would be a problem, if you would keep me from
• 12:38
Speaker 1: doing my job for any reason, if you would pursue
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: me further.
• 12:45
Speaker 4: No, no, we just want help.
• 12:50
Speaker 5: But if you're not interested, if you only want to
• 12:54
Speaker 5: protect the shoot, I think we can understand.
• 12:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, if you're scared to leave the shoot, I get it.
• 13:00
Speaker 2: Hey, reverse psychology, don't mind my friend here trying to
• 13:06
  Speaker 2: use reverse psycho.
• 13:08
Speaker 1: Don't tell her I'm using reverse psychology.
• 13:10
Speaker 2: Someone who's lived through multiple wars, some power struggles weird.
• 13:17
Speaker 2: As I said, at the end of the day, I
• 13:21
Speaker 2: owe you my life. I wouldn't have made it out
• 13:24
Speaker 2: of that firefight alive the other day.
• 13:27
Speaker 1: And thank you. Yeah, maybe it helps for you to know, then, kid,
• 13:31
Speaker 1: that I wasn't trying to protect you, just keeping those
• 13:35
Speaker 1: knuckle heads out of the shoote and.
• 13:39
Speaker 2: All the same as a man who grew up in
• 13:44
  Speaker 2: the shoot.
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: Thank you.
• 13:48
Speaker 2: And if you wanted to help us keep the shoote safe,
• 13:54
Speaker 2: we would love to partner with you more.
• 13:57
Speaker 1: But if that's not of interest to you, we will
• 14:04
Speaker 1: not disturb your work. Just so you know.
• 14:07
Speaker 3: I don't know how plugged in you are to the
• 14:09
Speaker 3: whole goings on of the city, but depending on what happens,
• 14:15
Speaker 3: there may not be a shoot left after this. Protecting
• 14:20
Speaker 3: the city is protecting the shoot, just so you know.
• 14:23
Speaker 5: And if I'm correct about Cordula Soma being the her
• 14:31
Speaker 5: you were referencing, she's coming out of the chute. She
• 14:37
Speaker 5: wants to help the whole city. If I'm right, you
• 14:40
Speaker 5: also know her way better than we do.
• 14:43
  Speaker 1: But I don't know.
• 14:44
Speaker 4: Maybe we're young and dumb, but we want the goodness
• 14:48
Speaker 4: that exists in the shoot to spread outside of.
• 14:51
Speaker 1: It young, dumb and full of goodness.
• 14:55
Speaker 4: Yeah, we're full of something.
• 15:00
Speaker 1: Looking at her with childlike eyes, driving with adoration, just
• 15:07
Speaker 1: honor to be in her presence, but hoping she says
• 15:11
Speaker 1: something that he'd like to hear. Why are you looking
• 15:14
Speaker 1: at me like that? Kid?
• 15:15
Speaker 2: Respectfully, ma'am you're the Wraith. Your name has been whispered
• 15:22
Speaker 2: and stories have been told since my grandmother's time about you.
• 15:29
Speaker 7: And I heard the legends since I was a toddler,
• 15:36
Speaker 7: and no one would believe me if I told him
• 15:40
Speaker 7: that I got to meet the Wraith, not that I
• 15:43
Speaker 7: will tell anyone. But it's an honor whether you want
• 15:47
Speaker 7: it to be or.
• 15:47
  Speaker 8: Not, or.
• 15:51
Speaker 1: It's not an honor whether you want it to be
• 15:54
Speaker 1: or not, not who you think I am? Kid, Just
• 15:58
Speaker 1: so you know, isn't that how legends go. I'd be
• 16:05
Speaker 1: cliche and say, don't meet your heroes, but like I said,
• 16:09
  Speaker 1: I ain't one.
• 16:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I'm glad that the people I say
• 16:18
Speaker 2: don't know who I am behind.
• 16:21
Speaker 1: The mask, but me too. But I still hope I'm
• 16:27
Speaker 1: inspiring someone out there. It's never too late. Yeah, problem
• 16:35
Speaker 1: is I heard that too many times, signed up for
• 16:37
Speaker 1: too many wars killed too many people under instructions from
• 16:42
Speaker 1: too many people. So sorry, y'all, just can't trust you.
• 16:46
  Speaker 1: I can't imagine, ma'am.
• 16:47
Speaker 2: You've seen more than most people can probably bear.
• 16:53
Speaker 1: Right now. I'm killing who I want to kill when
• 16:57
Speaker 1: I want to, and it's only for her, not for
• 17:02
Speaker 1: your shoot. It's not for this city. So that's all
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: I can't commit too.
• 17:10
Speaker 4: Can I sense if I'm correct when I've mentioned Cordula.
• 17:14
Speaker 1: Make a sense check with your scan. All right, she's
• 17:19
Speaker 1: going to roll against this with a lie, with a
• 17:22
Speaker 1: power that she has.
• 17:24
Speaker 5: I own pretty good. But I said that, you know,
• 17:26
Speaker 5: ten minutes ago, and I cried twelve.
• 17:30
Speaker 1: I rolled fourteen. Oh, whenever you say Cordela, you sense
• 17:36
Speaker 1: that there are synapses going off in parts of her,
• 17:40
Speaker 1: but nothing specific. Yeah, just like she recognizes the name
• 17:44
Speaker 1: and that's it. Yep. But hey, good luck. Thank you
• 17:47
Speaker 1: for not killing us genuinely. Yeah? Thanks?
• 17:51
  Speaker 3: Yeah?
• 17:51
Speaker 1: Well, if I do, you probably won't know it's me.
• 17:55
Speaker 1: Whoa badass? Yeah? I like, yeah, thanks, I made it?
• 18:02
  Speaker 1: Whoa trold it?
• 18:08
Speaker 2: No, okay, he's not from here.
• 18:13
Speaker 1: I'm from here. I'm from here. He's not from here. Well,
• 18:17
Speaker 1: I'm from ask I'll be leaving. Don't try to find
• 18:21
Speaker 1: me again. Please. If you do, it'll get worse. Okay,
• 18:26
Speaker 1: And hey, I've built quite the defense system around what
• 18:33
Speaker 1: I seek to protect, and I've done it through fear.
• 18:37
Speaker 1: Are you referring to the shoot or sure? You don't
• 18:42
Speaker 1: need to kill a ton of people before people stop
• 18:44
Speaker 1: coming where you don't want them to come. All that
• 18:47
Speaker 1: to say, don't make it worse, please, ma'am? Right right?
• 18:54
Speaker 3: I think going to war with the mayor and teaming
• 18:55
Speaker 3: up with the mob, I think we're going to do great.
• 18:57
Speaker 3: We can only make things better. I don't know why
• 18:59
Speaker 3: you'd even say that. Here, if you need, if you
• 19:02
Speaker 3: need anything from us, I hand her a blank piece
• 19:06
  Speaker 3: of paper.
• 19:07
Speaker 1: She takes it from you. When you push the evil ones,
• 19:12
Speaker 1: they push back. Let's hope we can take a pushing.
• 19:20
Speaker 1: Let's hope she steps on her platform and an electric
• 19:25
Speaker 1: wave shoots up her body and with it, her body
• 19:28
Speaker 1: disappears into the night.
• 19:31
Speaker 3: WHOA, I waved my hand where she was standing.
• 19:34
  Speaker 1: WHOA.
• 19:36
Speaker 2: We don't have that kind of technology, right, that's just
• 19:40
  Speaker 2: magic type stuff.
• 19:43
Speaker 1: I haven't sensed anything like that before.
• 19:47
Speaker 3: I can go into one piece of paper, come out
• 19:48
Speaker 3: another piece of paper, it's kind of like that.
• 19:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, but I can't sense that.
• 19:51
Speaker 3: Oh, sure paper is a polar insulator or it's a
• 19:54
Speaker 3: good insulator and a poor conductor.
• 19:56
Speaker 1: Right, unless it's your special vinean paper, a special one.
• 20:01
  Speaker 1: I wonder how they're doing.
• 20:02
Speaker 5: We too. Hope they're not kidnapped. They'd love that they would,
• 20:07
Speaker 5: But if they are, we've missed it.
• 20:09
Speaker 1: Chills, guys, Oh I got chills. That was insane. We
• 20:15
  Speaker 1: almost died, Phantom.
• 20:17
Speaker 2: You were pretty pretty loose lip there talking to a legend,
• 20:21
Speaker 2: I gotta say. But it didn't kill us, So, hey,
• 20:25
Speaker 2: I've been shot before.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, but did you see the size of that gun.
• 20:29
Speaker 1: It was the biggest gun I've ever seen.
• 20:32
Speaker 4: Bigger than I could have ever.
• 20:33
Speaker 1: Imagined, whatever you imagined, but bigger pretty much.
• 20:37
  Speaker 3: Man.
• 20:38
Speaker 4: Okay, we're over to on recruitment guys.
• 20:43
Speaker 2: Gotta say, bit of a bummer, but still an honor,
• 20:47
Speaker 2: but not exactly what I was hoping for.
• 20:52
Speaker 3: So let's do a quick quick head count. What what
• 20:55
Speaker 3: allies do we have? If we're gonna we're gonna march
• 20:58
Speaker 3: on the mayor's office? What are we got here? What's
• 21:01
  Speaker 3: in the tank?
• 21:02
  Speaker 4: Everwing?
• 21:02
  Speaker 1: Everwing?
• 21:03
Speaker 3: Manny Manny and purple dragon mech Yes, Maria, Maria's mad
• 21:09
  Speaker 3: at me.
• 21:10
Speaker 1: Correct, Marie is a little mad at me the end all.
• 21:17
Speaker 4: But yeah, sure she would still she would still help us,
• 21:20
  Speaker 4: she'd still fly.
• 21:22
Speaker 3: Yeah, but she is not to I don't want to
• 21:25
Speaker 3: besmirch the good name of just a person. But she
• 21:27
Speaker 3: is also just a person.
• 21:29
Speaker 4: No, but she's you know, she could be back at
• 21:31
Speaker 4: the nest watching things in a chair support chair.
• 21:35
Speaker 1: Uh Hexa guy said no, yeah, I really fucked that
• 21:40
Speaker 1: one up. What I mean? Okay?
• 21:44
Speaker 9: Yeah, sorry, Wraith said no, Elaine, we say Jackie yet
• 21:51
Speaker 9: we got Jackie ewing. Sorry you're calling her everywing? Yeah,
• 21:55
Speaker 9: come on, r jel Yeah, look over my shoulder. Dirk
• 22:02
Speaker 9: Dirk Blade, dark Laps, rock Fist.
• 22:06
Speaker 3: Perhaps rock fist switch shot. Oh boy, but yeah.
• 22:12
Speaker 1: We got it. We should check in on that before
• 22:14
  Speaker 1: we things blow.
• 22:16
Speaker 4: Right, Just you guys, I don't know.
• 22:19
  Speaker 1: I'm like.
• 22:22
Speaker 4: Everything I touch turns to ship.
• 22:26
Speaker 1: Not everything. You're too hard on yourself. What about Sticky?
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Oh well, you know remains to be seen.
• 22:35
Speaker 2: Sticky's not gonna make it through any kind of real fight.
• 22:39
Speaker 3: No, he's not a battle box front lines. The war
• 22:44
Speaker 3: machine battles like three foot cube. We're not gonna looked Sticky.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: Sticky. Sticky's not gonna make it through much.
• 22:54
Speaker 2: So don't get don't get too attached team to Sticky's
• 22:59
  Speaker 2: too late.
• 23:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, what are you talking about? That's too late. I
• 23:03
Speaker 1: love Sticky. I love paper Cat Crinkles.
• 23:05
Speaker 3: Mister Crinkles, the script Kitty. Yes, that's his superhero name.
• 23:09
Speaker 1: You did not send Sticky to be fixed with Ellington,
• 23:12
Speaker 1: but if you would have liked to have done, you
• 23:16
  Speaker 1: could have.
• 23:16
Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, if you allow me to write on that.
• 23:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fine. Great.
• 23:21
Speaker 4: Sticky's at the at the kennel getting groomed.
• 23:25
Speaker 2: Maybe we keep Sticky until peace reins. Just I'm just
• 23:30
Speaker 2: looking out for Sticky's health. Man, I promise to look
• 23:34
Speaker 2: after Sticky's house. But I mean, he's an old piece
• 23:38
Speaker 2: of tech that who knows what information is in there.
• 23:43
Speaker 2: I raise my non hairy eyebrows at Jason.
• 23:47
  Speaker 8: Uh.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: It's like he's like a little library. Oh yeah, oh god,
• 23:52
Speaker 1: I gotta rebuild the library. Fuck. So, not a time
• 23:55
Speaker 1: of the day with all these thoughts listening through y'all's head.
• 23:59
Speaker 1: We are gonna go into a time of downtime so
• 24:05
Speaker 1: that hopefully we can check off some of these boxes, y'all.
• 24:09
Speaker 1: This downtime will end with the results of the vote
• 24:15
Speaker 1: to vote, the vote of the city to decide if
• 24:21
Speaker 1: they are okay with holding an election. The major problem
• 24:25
Speaker 1: with this is that four years ago, when the current
• 24:29
Speaker 1: mayor won, he put in to effect through the City
• 24:33
Speaker 1: Council another law that the city Council has to ratify
• 24:37
Speaker 1: the vote of the people to run an election or not,
• 24:41
Speaker 1: which means that they could just say no, and you know,
• 24:45
Speaker 1: because of Manny that that's their plan. Manny has asked
• 24:49
Speaker 1: you to deal with the city council and we enter
• 24:53
Speaker 1: downtime right. Something that happens early on in this course
• 24:59
Speaker 1: of downtime is Manny Ellington comes out on the television
• 25:02
Speaker 1: and through the news outlets, on the radio and through
• 25:05
Speaker 1: the paper to affirm all of the statements of you
• 25:09
Speaker 1: guys as heroes and Elaine and outs himself as a
• 25:13
Speaker 1: member of the council. He says, like, I've been doing
• 25:17
Speaker 1: what I can to combat their machinations from within. He
• 25:22
Speaker 1: tries to give a good spin to it. There are
• 25:27
Speaker 1: those in the city who believe him and those who
• 25:31
Speaker 1: are just like he's just another rich fuck who doesn't
• 25:34
Speaker 1: give a shit, sure, but he does point to things
• 25:39
Speaker 1: that he has done for the city, good things, primarily
• 25:41
Speaker 1: with the electric rail and lowering the prices of electricity
• 25:44
Speaker 1: when the prices of gas shot through the roof. Because
• 25:47
Speaker 1: Adrian Stephenson was of Stepston Oil was elected mayor twice
• 25:51
Speaker 1: blah blah blah blah. So that happens early on in
• 25:55
Speaker 1: the week, and then the state of the city. The
• 25:58
Speaker 1: ancient story of the Tower of Babel is a tragic one.
• 26:03
Speaker 1: All of the people of the world came together to
• 26:06
Speaker 1: build a tower so tall that it would reach God,
• 26:10
Speaker 1: and God, seeking to humble them, confused their languages so
• 26:14
Speaker 1: that they could no longer communicate and no longer build.
• 26:18
Speaker 1: The truth bomb dropped by Elaine, Kira and you, all
• 26:22
Speaker 1: the heroes of New Babel, has confused the people of
• 26:27
Speaker 1: New Babel. It has changed their language. The status quo
• 26:33
Speaker 1: has been upset. The True America Gang has taken up
• 26:37
Speaker 1: residence in the old city Hall. The current mayor has abandoned,
• 26:43
Speaker 1: so they have. The mayor has pushed himself into Kono
• 26:49
Speaker 1: as far away from like the rabble as he can
• 26:52
Speaker 1: be and abandoned city Hall. And so the True American
• 26:57
Speaker 1: Gang has taken over the the city hall that is
• 27:05
Speaker 1: right next to the station, so it's a pard. It's
• 27:11
Speaker 1: very downtown. It's the part of downtown that is not
• 27:14
Speaker 1: the station. So it's like right outside the road that
• 27:17
Speaker 1: goes around the station called the moat.
• 27:19
Speaker 3: They're just hooking apple pies people who walk by.
• 27:23
  Speaker 2: America rejoin America.
• 27:27
Speaker 1: They have they have like a baseball what is it,
• 27:32
Speaker 1: like a baseball pitcher, like an automatic pitch. I don't
• 27:37
Speaker 1: do sports. One of these things called we're playing America's Fast,
• 27:42
Speaker 1: but they're shooting baseballs of people from an old school
• 27:45
Speaker 1: baseball automatic pitch device.
• 27:50
Speaker 4: Are you to play just big boom box.
• 27:55
Speaker 1: They have built a red, white and blue throne that
• 27:58
Speaker 1: they keep warm, that they keep warm for the coming
• 28:01
Speaker 1: of their savior, Hell Henry Hilland you're gonna say, like
• 28:06
Speaker 1: Hella the nor Henry. Okay. The Yakuza and the Russians
• 28:15
Speaker 1: and the West Coast gangs have split the drug dealing
• 28:19
Speaker 1: and protection duties in ask as the Irish Mobster's roam
• 28:25
Speaker 1: the streets leaderless looking for quick scores. I think a
• 28:29
Speaker 1: lot of your patrol in this is just finding a
• 28:31
Speaker 1: guy that used to be in the Irish mob who's like, oh,
• 28:35
Speaker 1: what's go, don't hurt me kind of thing.
• 28:38
Speaker 4: He'll cut you right on the dick.
• 28:39
Speaker 1: Yeah. Then there's the people. The people are arguing, they
• 28:45
Speaker 1: are voting, they are abstaining from voting, not knowing who
• 28:50
Speaker 1: or what to believe. This is the city that you
• 28:55
Speaker 1: find yourself in. We've made it better.
• 28:58
Speaker 4: Do you say all the mobs what a bask?
• 29:01
Speaker 1: Or just these three mobs? The core gang has not
• 29:05
Speaker 1: moved into ask. That's not their primary goal right now. Okay,
• 29:10
Speaker 1: so let's start with rest, the most exciting one. Let's
• 29:17
Speaker 1: do rest real quick. How are we resting? What numbers
• 29:21
Speaker 1: did we give to rest?
• 29:22
Speaker 5: I give one because I'm good on hit points. But
• 29:27
Speaker 5: I could use some energy. So I'm going to roll
• 29:29
Speaker 5: my D four to get some energy back.
• 29:31
Speaker 1: Cool cool paper, phantom to rest. A couple of little
• 29:35
Speaker 1: honk shoes. Honk shoe? What's a honk shoe?
• 29:39
Speaker 4: That's a piece of paper going up and down.
• 29:44
Speaker 1: Also, I feel like a donkey noise that's he haw
• 29:49
Speaker 1: a fuck not honks. You'll rigel rest zero? Oh ain't no? Rest?
• 30:04
Speaker 1: Well awake? Hell? Paper is made up trees? Good one?
• 30:08
Speaker 1: Hey you guys, Yeah, you don't swing an idiot anymore.
• 30:12
Speaker 1: You know what, that was pretty cool when you said
• 30:14
Speaker 1: that thing. Actually, yeah, that was the joke you did
• 30:17
Speaker 1: man like from a oh yeah, credit where credits do?
• 30:23
Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure I named an episode that at some
• 30:26
Speaker 1: point awesome, let's do training, y'all. What did we give
• 30:29
Speaker 1: to training? Goose egg zero for Quanta, paper Phantom zero
• 30:35
Speaker 1: zero for paper Phantom, Richel one one for training. What
• 30:40
Speaker 1: are you doing, Rachel?
• 30:42
Speaker 2: I think Richel's training is going to overlap with some
• 30:49
Speaker 2: uh someone I hope put a lot in training Jackie.
• 30:55
Speaker 2: I would like to do some training with Jackie, especially
• 30:58
Speaker 2: flight training and maybe some moves, maybe some combos stuff,
• 31:05
Speaker 2: you know, just just working together, building her confidence, but
• 31:09
Speaker 2: also still working on my powers, especially flight related powers.
• 31:15
Speaker 1: When I'm training with everyone. Manny Ellington drops off the
• 31:18
Speaker 1: everwing suit, probably about in the middle of this week sometime,
• 31:21
Speaker 1: along with a fixed sticky Sticky.
• 31:26
Speaker 4: Oh you have that new robot smell.
• 31:30
Speaker 1: Sticky is zipping around the house Jamier's house, to the
• 31:38
  Speaker 1: chagrin of Jamir.
• 31:39
Speaker 5: He comes back with a bandana on like when a
• 31:42
  Speaker 5: dog comes back.
• 31:42
  Speaker 1: From the h.
• 31:45
Speaker 8: Has a little sticky and it's like it's the new
• 31:48
  Speaker 8: babble flag.
• 31:50
Speaker 2: Very glad for the days we get to share with
• 31:53
Speaker 2: you Sticky new machine gun that Sticky goes.
• 31:59
Speaker 5: Don't love him, Jesus Senate. He thinks you're gonna die
• 32:02
Speaker 5: in battle. But I'm not going to you.
• 32:05
Speaker 1: I'm Sticky. It's back and fixed and has two little
• 32:12
Speaker 1: working treads. So it's rushing around excited to be a
• 32:17
Speaker 1: lot mobile, but the more important mobile, maybe the more
• 32:23
Speaker 1: important thing. Every day Jami or Jackie comes to you
• 32:28
  Speaker 1: and it's like, hey's the suit here. I don't want
• 32:30
Speaker 1: to be annoying, but it is the suit here. Oh yeah,
• 32:34
Speaker 1: it came in, and I just chose not to tell
• 32:35
Speaker 1: you it's not in. Okay, Okay, yeah, No, I mean
• 32:40
Speaker 1: I don't want to be annoying, but I'm just wanting
• 32:43
Speaker 1: to be here. You know, I'm just excited. No, I
• 32:45
Speaker 1: get it, it's not here. Cool, let me know. As
• 32:49
Speaker 1: soon as it comes in, I literally will all right. Well,
• 32:53
Speaker 1: I just think like maybe you think you know if
• 32:55
Speaker 1: it comes in and you're like, well, I like to
• 32:58
Speaker 1: cook weird stuff in the kitchen, maybe I'll go make
• 33:01
Speaker 1: eggs in the basket or whatever the fuck?
• 33:04
Speaker 4: Oh got it, and.
• 33:05
Speaker 1: You won't bring it down to me. Yeah, potentially, yeah, potentially.
• 33:11
Speaker 8: V for Vendetta Stock New Babbel's version of V for
• 33:14
Speaker 8: Vendetta is starring Susan Sarandon instead of Natalie Love.
• 33:20
Speaker 4: You, but New Babble, it's all about the suits.
• 33:26
Speaker 1: For Sarandon, okay, fors for Susan Sarandon. Okay. But the
• 33:32
Speaker 1: day it does come in, Jackie again, probably bothers you. Jimiir,
• 33:37
Speaker 1: did it get in? Is it here? It's here? Let's
• 33:43
Speaker 1: go check it out? All right, let y'all let me
• 33:45
Speaker 1: know when it actually gets here. Nice being funny? No no, no, no, no,
• 33:49
Speaker 1: that was supposed to be a serious voice. I'm sorry
• 33:51
Speaker 1: if it was indistinguishable from no, Oh, that's awesome jokes. No,
• 33:56
Speaker 1: it's it's fricking here. Oh hell yeah, let's go check
• 33:59
Speaker 1: it Outlet's try it on. Let's check it out. Where
• 34:02
Speaker 1: do you guys open the everywing suit? Oh, we got
• 34:06
Speaker 1: to take it down into the nest. You head into
• 34:10
Speaker 1: the nest. It's in a case, a metal case. As
• 34:16
Speaker 1: you open it, there is the perfect sized foam slot
• 34:24
Speaker 1: for each piece. And she pulls it out piece by
• 34:28
Speaker 1: piece and she begins to don it, figuring out how
• 34:30
Speaker 1: everything fits. And it fits perfectly. The wings are now
• 34:35
Speaker 1: a striking metallic black, with the exception of the tips
• 34:41
Speaker 1: of the feathers that blend out into a yellow golden
• 34:44
Speaker 1: rod color, and the rest of the suit follows that
• 34:48
Speaker 1: kind of rule. The pieces vary from a dark gun
• 34:52
Speaker 1: metal gray to black, and there are accents of that
• 34:56
Speaker 1: blended yellow in the boots and the glow and the
• 35:00
  Speaker 1: winged helm.
• 35:02
Speaker 3: So cool, Heyjameter, her is it? Did the suit come yet?
• 35:08
  Speaker 3: The suit come?
• 35:09
Speaker 1: Hey? If we're quiet, he might go away.
• 35:13
Speaker 3: I guess no one's here anyway. I'm wearing the other
• 35:16
Speaker 3: like old everwings suit. Eating a bagel. That'll deal with that.
• 35:20
Speaker 1: Loud. Jackie and Jamir uh like put their backs on
• 35:24
Speaker 1: the wall. Uh, and the two of you train together.
• 35:31
Speaker 1: Jackie flies the sky every day. Now oh yeah, the
• 35:37
Speaker 1: ever wing is back and she focuses on learning the suit.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: The two of you, I think have a lot of
• 35:47
Speaker 1: fun up in the air together. Uh. You leaving flight
• 35:51
Speaker 1: stars and as she gets more comfortable, she steps off
• 35:54
Speaker 1: of one, does a flip with her wings in and
• 35:57
Speaker 1: then pushes them back out. And so after you in
• 36:02
Speaker 1: the city sky. Very dope, l Yeah, we're heroes. Richel
• 36:10
  Speaker 1: we're heroes.
• 36:11
  Speaker 4: Wow.
• 36:16
Speaker 1: She learns that she is faster than you at your fastest.
• 36:20
Speaker 1: She's not as strong as you, but she's faster than
• 36:23
Speaker 1: you and has different skills. You start to learn about
• 36:27
Speaker 1: the everwing hood and what it can see, and the
• 36:31
Speaker 1: control of her suit and the power it has in
• 36:34
Speaker 1: resilience and blocking and using the wings as more than
• 36:38
Speaker 1: just a flight device, but as a weapon and as
• 36:42
Speaker 1: a as a shield. And the two of you have
• 36:46
Speaker 1: the time of your lives. Jamiir. You can gain a
• 36:52
Speaker 1: PIP to use, a power pip to use for fights. Hell, yeah, awesome,
• 36:59
Speaker 1: that's training patrol. What are we doing for a patrol?
• 37:02
Speaker 1: I'll start with paper Phantom.
• 37:04
Speaker 3: I gave a one to patrol and yeah, I just
• 37:07
Speaker 3: want to round up loose, loose Irish guys on the street.
• 37:13
  Speaker 1: Shake him down.
• 37:14
Speaker 3: Maybe you know if they have seen a fire slug.
• 37:18
Speaker 3: Get some some intel, but just round him up, bring
• 37:21
Speaker 3: him to jail, beat him up a foire slug. What
• 37:25
Speaker 3: do you mean, paper Phantom?
• 37:27
Speaker 1: Wait, say it again one more time? Foyer slow? Okay,
• 37:32
Speaker 1: like that lives in one's foyer. No, I'm looking for
• 37:34
Speaker 1: a fire slug, yesolug. Oh, I'll just put you in jail,
• 37:40
Speaker 1: you have some fun interactions with some Irish gangsters that
• 37:45
Speaker 1: have been displaced quantum patrol for you. I gave three. Wow, Yeah,
• 37:52
Speaker 1: what do you open to do? Well?
• 37:53
Speaker 5: The city's are rumbling, city's got to rumble tummy, certainly,
• 37:57
Speaker 5: so I'm trying to be some thumbs of the.
• 38:02
  Speaker 1: Nice.
• 38:04
Speaker 4: Did not think of that metaphor till this moment.
• 38:05
Speaker 1: I think you should say it again, but dramatic, like Okay,
• 38:09
Speaker 1: I get ready, the city's say, like the phantom, the
• 38:15
Speaker 1: city's got a rumby tummy here called the tombs sponsor.
• 38:25
Speaker 5: Yeah, so I turned my suit pepto bismal pink and
• 38:30
Speaker 5: patrol around the city and like checking out the city
• 38:34
Speaker 5: center with the true American gang, like making sure people
• 38:38
Speaker 5: are safe with that activity going on Kono two with
• 38:43
Speaker 5: the guard the police guarding the Mayor's office, and that's
• 38:48
Speaker 5: where my family lives. So just seeing what's going on
• 38:51
Speaker 5: and making sure people are safe sounds in those areas
• 38:54
  Speaker 5: in particular.
• 38:55
Speaker 1: But I gave three, So, yeah, you are able to
• 38:59
Speaker 1: us a brown keeping the Core America gang probably is
• 39:05
Speaker 1: the most wiley as you do this, they are people
• 39:12
Speaker 1: have started protesting throughout the city or or just champ
• 39:16
Speaker 1: championing throughout the city their hopes for a vote or
• 39:22
Speaker 1: for not a vote, or for you know who they're
• 39:24
Speaker 1: looking for for the mayor.
• 39:25
Speaker 4: Yeah, no, I'm not messing with anyone's free speech.
• 39:28
Speaker 1: No, but I'm just saying that because the core America
• 39:32
Speaker 1: Gang is sometimes going into those you know, more peaceful
• 39:35
Speaker 1: protests and punching people with boxing gloves with spikes on
• 39:41
Speaker 1: and like America against that apple pie reef loox Yes,
• 39:49
Speaker 1: Quanta becomes a bit of a nightmare for the true
• 39:52
Speaker 1: American gang. Roll a coox check as you attempt to
• 39:56
Speaker 1: intimidate them back into their holes, back to your America hole.
• 40:03
Speaker 1: I would love to empower this with my lightning whip,
• 40:06
Speaker 1: for sure. Wish you're called the Tubes. This is a
• 40:11
Speaker 1: difficult check. I'm rolling a D twelve eighteen. Oh geez,
• 40:15
Speaker 1: I rolled a six s winner. Open up here with
• 40:23
  Speaker 1: this dusty tablet.
• 40:24
Speaker 3: I love that we've spent twenty seven episodes establishing your
• 40:27
Speaker 3: theme is lightning, and you've decided no, it's going to
• 40:29
  Speaker 3: be Tubes.
• 40:30
Speaker 1: Now never too late for a rebrand. The peptobismal pink
• 40:37
Speaker 1: from your suit leaks out into your lightning whip. As
• 40:41
Speaker 1: you swing around the center of the city keeping the
• 40:45
Speaker 1: True American Gang at bay, they start calling you horrible
• 40:51
Speaker 1: things and claiming you're you know, commye bastard or whatever.
• 40:58
Speaker 3: And they could call you a Pinko. Hey it's another
• 41:04
Speaker 3: communist name, but also she's pink like business.
• 41:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, you become known as Pinko from the True American Gang.
• 41:14
Speaker 1: Before we move on, Quantum Rigel, what are you putting
• 41:17
Speaker 1: in patrol? Rachel put in four hey for to patrol.
• 41:23
Speaker 1: Are you do you want to piggyback off of anything
• 41:25
Speaker 1: Quanta is doing or has done.
• 41:27
Speaker 2: Yes, I definitely think I'll be joining Quanta on some
• 41:30
Speaker 2: of her patrols for safety and also for help. And yeah,
• 41:36
Speaker 2: I think we want to. I mean, I want to
• 41:38
Speaker 2: make my presence felt through this city.
• 41:42
Speaker 1: In this time. I'm not hiding, I'm not scared. I'm
• 41:46
Speaker 1: willing to talk to people.
• 41:49
Speaker 4: What medicine are you gonna embody?
• 41:52
Speaker 2: You know, I think I'm embodying an extra strength a
• 41:58
Speaker 2: set of medafine unbranded, unbranded, unbranded, you.
• 42:04
Speaker 1: Know, great value. As so you help Quanta out with
• 42:10
Speaker 1: some of the gang activity in or no, excuse me,
• 42:13
Speaker 1: some yes, some of the gang activity downtown with the
• 42:16
Speaker 1: true American Gang. You go knock some heads, Rachel, how
• 42:20
Speaker 1: do you interact with the true American gang?
• 42:23
Speaker 2: I think Rachel similarly is like, hey, you know, if
• 42:28
Speaker 2: you guys really want to join the city so much,
• 42:31
Speaker 2: or join America so much, there's a big old country
• 42:34
Speaker 2: out there. But if you're going to try to intimidate
• 42:37
Speaker 2: the people of this city.
• 42:38
Speaker 1: You got a problem with Rigel and the two you
• 42:41
Speaker 1: knock some heads, and the problem with Pink, I mean
• 42:45
Speaker 1: Quanta and Zap. Some guys, they're still very active. I
• 42:54
Speaker 1: think because you're both wanting to patrol there. I think
• 42:56
Speaker 1: you do hear some over talking as two of the
• 43:01
  Speaker 1: true Americans.
• 43:03
Speaker 4: Don't overtalk each other, please, we're trying to eavesdrop.
• 43:07
Speaker 1: Sorry, I think you I think you overhere is what
• 43:09
Speaker 1: I meant. You overhear some talking between two of the
• 43:13
Speaker 1: true American gang. Yeah. Man, if there's no call for
• 43:18
Speaker 1: a vote, we're storming the mayor's house. Man, we're doing it. Yeah.
• 43:24
Speaker 1: The guy's like, wait, really, that's so scary. That's a lot. Yeah, man,
• 43:28
Speaker 1: we just got it because this country is where we
• 43:31
Speaker 1: need to be in and we're not really in it.
• 43:33
Speaker 1: Even though we are in it. It's like fucked up.
• 43:36
Speaker 1: Like it's like you think you're in it and you're not,
• 43:39
Speaker 1: but you want to be. You know, guys like, yeah,
• 43:42
Speaker 1: but should we hurt people at the mayor's office. It's
• 43:45
Speaker 1: the only way. Man, we gotta we gotta raid that place,
• 43:49
Speaker 1: and we got to put Henry on his throne. Man,
• 43:51
Speaker 1: Henry needs to sit on his throne. I mean, they
• 43:53
Speaker 1: just get electrocuted as Yeah, shocks one of them from above,
• 44:00
Speaker 1: and Rachel comes down, takes the spiked bat from the
• 44:05
Speaker 1: other one and brings it against his knee. Quantity, you
• 44:08
Speaker 1: want to patrol some in Cono, Yes, Rachel, was that
• 44:12
Speaker 1: on your list as well? Yep. Cono specifically, the mayor's
• 44:16
Speaker 1: skyscraper has become a bit of a fortress. The police
• 44:22
Speaker 1: have set up barriers and it's on constant watch. There
• 44:28
Speaker 1: is no other police activity in that section of town
• 44:33
Speaker 1: of the city. There is only the mayor's hold.
• 44:41
Speaker 4: And you've said before previous patrols, you've never seen the
• 44:45
Speaker 4: mayor come and go.
• 44:46
Speaker 1: Nope, Please louted me. He's got another way in. He's
• 44:50
Speaker 1: got his own tube time something like it. Let me
• 44:52
Speaker 1: see what I can sense.
• 44:54
Speaker 4: Please, I want to see if I can push my
• 44:58
Speaker 4: sense down into the ground like I've done before, to
• 45:02
Speaker 4: find like the grid underneath, to see if I can
• 45:04
  Speaker 4: find another entrance.
• 45:06
Speaker 1: Yeah, roll a sense check. This is a difficult check.
• 45:09
Speaker 1: I'm only a D twelve. See where the wires lead.
• 45:13
Speaker 1: I rolled to twelve to four. You don't you sense
• 45:16
Speaker 1: over the building? You sense down it. You do sense
• 45:19
Speaker 1: all the stuff like your this is your power. Like
• 45:21
Speaker 1: you sense the underground lines, you sense the further underground lines.
• 45:26
Speaker 1: You sense the building and all its amenities. There. There
• 45:30
Speaker 1: is a recording studio, there, a broadcasting studio in there.
• 45:35
Speaker 1: There is all the things you would need there. There
• 45:37
Speaker 1: are levels and levels of just living space. This probably
• 45:41
Speaker 1: used to be a very high end high rise before
• 45:44
Speaker 1: the mayor took it over.
• 45:46
Speaker 4: I'm not I'm getting the blueprint, but I don't see anything.
• 45:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure he's thought of everything.
• 45:52
Speaker 4: There's some people in their thirties trying to make a
• 45:54
Speaker 4: podcast on that floor.
• 45:55
Speaker 1: Though. Interesting, how's it going?
• 45:59
Speaker 4: You know they wish it was going better?
• 46:02
Speaker 1: Well, tell them to keep it.
• 46:04
Speaker 4: But they're having a great time.
• 46:06
Speaker 3: Interesting, oh so much. Just joined their Patreon got so
• 46:12
Speaker 3: exciting propaganda patreo oh Yeah, it's in the Evil Mayor's
• 46:17
  Speaker 3: offits building.
• 46:18
Speaker 2: These are the bad guys either don't see squanny sque
• 46:24
Speaker 2: don't empathize with the villains, but they're so cool.
• 46:29
Speaker 1: They're like me. There is not too much fighting to
• 46:33
Speaker 1: do in Kono. Sure it's locked down at least they're
• 46:38
Speaker 1: not hurting anybody yet. At least nobody's being stupid enough
• 46:42
Speaker 1: to come up here yet, like the true American guys
• 46:45
Speaker 1: were thinking they might rigel. What else did you want
• 46:47
Speaker 1: to get done in patrol patrolling?
• 46:49
Speaker 2: I definitely want to spend time patrolling the shoot again,
• 46:53
Speaker 2: just still keeping people safe, making sure and also like
• 46:57
Speaker 2: not being afraid to say, especially in the shoot in
• 47:00
Speaker 2: Colorado South, like get out and vote, or voices need
• 47:05
Speaker 2: to be heard. I'm here to protect your voices, you know.
• 47:08
Speaker 2: Or I'm just not afraid to say something cheesy and
• 47:12
Speaker 2: supportive to the people as they're gathering.
• 47:15
Speaker 1: As I fly over Jackie one time, as she sees
• 47:18
Speaker 1: you getting ready to go out, steps into your living
• 47:23
Speaker 1: room in the full everwing suit. The clunk clunk of
• 47:26
Speaker 1: her boots on the mahogany floors. Hey can I come,
• 47:30
Speaker 1: of course? Yeah? Awesome. The two of you start flying
• 47:36
Speaker 1: through the night. On this night, you do go over
• 47:38
Speaker 1: the shoot, the two of you. You see someone you
• 47:41
Speaker 1: both know, Crazy Gabby setting up her lean to getting
• 47:46
Speaker 1: ready to sleep in the curve of the shoot. On
• 47:48
Speaker 1: the outside, two young men come up on Crazy Gabby.
• 47:53
Speaker 1: They're drunk. One of them says he there's always this
• 47:58
Speaker 1: one we could just beat up. Got kicked out of
• 48:01
Speaker 1: that stupid bar, couldn't start a fight. But if we
• 48:04
Speaker 1: want to get our punches in, she's always here. The
• 48:07
Speaker 1: fuck is wrong with drunks these days.
• 48:10
Speaker 2: Rigel's gonna zoom down, hovering about seven feet directly over
• 48:17
Speaker 2: Gabby and say, yeah, you're gonna get your punches in, buddy,
• 48:21
Speaker 2: Time to learn a lesson.
• 48:23
  Speaker 1: Teacher's in.
• 48:25
Speaker 2: I'm gonna jump off the start again. Not trying to
• 48:29
Speaker 2: kill these people, but I'm gonna show them some fisticuffs
• 48:35
  Speaker 2: and hurt them.
• 48:37
Speaker 1: Jackie with you jumps on the other one. The claws
• 48:40
Speaker 1: in her boots land on his chest, force him to
• 48:45
Speaker 1: the ground, and one of her wings goes through his
• 48:49
Speaker 1: arm and pins him to the ground.
• 48:53
Speaker 3: Ah does she say something like like teacher's assistant came
• 48:58
  Speaker 3: into it's.
• 49:00
Speaker 1: Me ever wing the teacher's pet I mean no, that
• 49:04
Speaker 1: was because it's a bird and bird Yeah, oh okay,
• 49:13
Speaker 1: we're not going with that one.
• 49:14
Speaker 4: You know, it's pretty strong. We're not as strong as Tom's.
• 49:18
Speaker 1: This episode brought still brought to you and Jackie stop
• 49:23
Speaker 1: a little crime during your patrol. Gosh, this guy's trying
• 49:26
Speaker 1: to get that punches in. Yeah, it's like I had
• 49:28
Speaker 1: a quota of punches. How to get my punches in?
• 49:33
Speaker 2: Afterwards, I'll definitely teck uh, check on, check on her
• 49:37
Speaker 2: and be like, oh, ma'am, or are you okay?
• 49:40
Speaker 1: Oh hey, Rye Joel, Yeah, I'm good, good, thanks for coming.
• 49:45
Speaker 1: Sorry I had to deal with that. That's terrible. A
• 49:50
Speaker 1: girl learns to put up for herself.
• 49:51
Speaker 7: You know, I'm sorry about that.
• 49:56
Speaker 1: But are you good?
• 49:57
  Speaker 3: Here?
• 49:57
Speaker 1: Do you want let's to escort you anywhere else? Oh?
• 50:00
Speaker 1: This is my home. I'm happy the new gods keep
• 50:05
Speaker 1: me saye, I like your guys's new suits.
• 50:10
Speaker 2: Really cool. We appreciate it. And if you need help,
• 50:14
Speaker 2: just look up. Hopefully we'll be close by.
• 50:17
Speaker 10: All right, my salute, everything ready, I'm ready to teach.
• 50:24
Speaker 10: Please don't yeah, rayjer will do a classic shoot move.
• 50:30
Speaker 10: I'll run toward the curve an exposed curve part of
• 50:35
Speaker 10: the shoot. Instead of having like a skateboarder scooter, I'll
• 50:38
Speaker 10: throw it a flight star. I'll kind of flight star
• 50:42
Speaker 10: halfway up the pipe, act as if gravity zips me
• 50:47
Speaker 10: back the other way, and then just fly off into.
• 50:51
Speaker 1: This guy Jackie follows your motion and soars over the
• 50:55
Speaker 1: shoot with you protecting now your home.
• 51:00
Speaker 3: Hey, what do you guys call a greasy oily snack
• 51:03
Speaker 3: that you eat when you're on patrol? Petroleums? You can
• 51:08
Speaker 3: cut that out, bail.
• 51:12
Speaker 5: Remember there's a while ago we went on a long
• 51:14
Speaker 5: tangent about shoot like food like wraps, wraps, a new
• 51:19
Speaker 5: babbel or like the shoot wraps.
• 51:21
Speaker 3: Yeah, it could be your petroleums. Yeah, petroleums like a
• 51:24
Speaker 3: little like a little stand shoot wraps, little shoots, bamboos,
• 51:30
Speaker 3: like bamboo wraps like shoots.
• 51:32
Speaker 4: No, like like they is a wrap.
• 51:35
Speaker 1: No, but you could have bamboo. But you could have
• 51:37
Speaker 1: shoots in the shoots.
• 51:39
Speaker 9: Yes, they come out and shoots and then they give
• 51:40
Speaker 9: you the little ship shoot shoots.
• 51:42
Speaker 1: Yeah. Anyway, let's move into unmasked life. Wait it is
• 51:47
Speaker 1: sorry what a phantom put in patrol?
• 51:49
Speaker 3: Just one I just beat up some Irish guys just
• 51:51
Speaker 3: that bit about foyers. Yeah, foyer fire foyer slug Phantom,
• 51:56
Speaker 3: what did you give three quantity?
• 51:59
Speaker 1: You help Jason and yeah track down some of the
• 52:03
Speaker 1: Irish who have been displaced, making sure that they aren't
• 52:07
Speaker 1: getting up to no good. I think with both of
• 52:09
Speaker 1: you giving that, I think over this period of time,
• 52:12
Speaker 1: I think you pretty much quell like any fear like
• 52:16
Speaker 1: the Phantom was hopeful that the Irish should be taken
• 52:19
Speaker 1: care of, and it seems like the flog has really
• 52:23
Speaker 1: gone down a step in their power.
• 52:26
Speaker 5: So does this mean your priorities can move up Mayor's
• 52:30
Speaker 5: number one now for you?
• 52:31
Speaker 3: Well, for now, I don't know. Aren't you worried about
• 52:35
Speaker 3: that whole candle store thing you were dealing with? Wasn't
• 52:37
Speaker 3: that an Irish mob guy?
• 52:38
  Speaker 1: Yeah?
• 52:38
Speaker 5: Well you know, no, Sophia had kind of taken care
• 52:41
Speaker 5: of that before I could.
• 52:43
Speaker 1: Okay, well, all right, check it off the list.
• 52:46
Speaker 3: I pull out a big piece of paper that has
• 52:48
Speaker 3: lists of the evil things we wrote down in episode
• 52:51
  Speaker 3: one and Irish.
• 52:54
Speaker 1: Let's move into Unmasked Life. Phantom, what did you give
• 52:58
Speaker 1: to unmasked life free? And what are you hoping to?
• 53:02
Speaker 1: Who you hope and to interact with what are you
• 53:03
  Speaker 1: hoping to do?
• 53:04
Speaker 3: So I want to see Page, check in with Paige,
• 53:07
Speaker 3: hang out with her, maybe take her up on her
• 53:09
Speaker 3: offer to go to the station on like a.
• 53:11
Speaker 1: Little date kind of a situation.
• 53:13
Speaker 3: I'd also like to follow up, if possible, with the
• 53:17
Speaker 3: construction of the library, try and get that kind of going.
• 53:21
Speaker 3: And then if there's still time, if there's enough time
• 53:25
Speaker 3: in the day, maybe have an awkward conversation with Maria.
• 53:30
Speaker 1: Yay, but we'll see what we get to.
• 53:33
Speaker 5: Well, you're like, just enough time. If there's not time
• 53:37
Speaker 5: I apologize for murdering someone's If.
• 53:39
Speaker 3: There's not enough time to apologize for murdering somebody's stand
• 53:41
Speaker 3: and forcing their brother to being a fire's lug, we
• 53:45
  Speaker 3: skip that one.
• 53:45
Speaker 1: If there's a run out of time, someone has enough
• 53:47
Speaker 1: time in the day. So those that's what Phantom wants
• 53:50
Speaker 1: to accomplish. Rachel, would you give give two and what
• 53:54
Speaker 1: do you want to accomplish?
• 53:55
Speaker 2: I want to spend some time with my parents, haven't
• 53:59
Speaker 2: spent enough time with them, Definitely want to make sure that.
• 54:05
Speaker 1: We're all good there. And I want to spend some
• 54:07
Speaker 1: time with Maria, check in on her. And then quantum
• 54:10
Speaker 1: what you give too, and what do you want to
• 54:12
  Speaker 1: get done?
• 54:13
Speaker 5: I want to go to work and also check on
• 54:17
Speaker 5: Gabe do that, and.
• 54:23
Speaker 3: Oh you also want to meet up with Maria Maria.
• 54:28
Speaker 5: Okay, so here's here's the three very important things. I'm
• 54:31
Speaker 5: trying to decide between check it in with family, Uh,
• 54:36
Speaker 5: check it in with Joshua, or going to my water aerobics.
• 54:39
Speaker 1: Class three very importantly important.
• 54:45
Speaker 5: At five am on Wednesdays. I feel like I could
• 54:48
Speaker 5: still be making that class. Sure, I feel like you
• 54:52
Speaker 5: should give that to me for free.
• 54:55
Speaker 1: Maybe maybe if you dedicate an unmasked point every rest,
• 55:00
Speaker 1: every downtime to be like, I am going to water
• 55:02
  Speaker 1: heroobics this week.
• 55:04
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, I'm regretting not giving three damn masks
• 55:07
Speaker 5: and doing three to patrol. That's team up, baby choices. Man,
• 55:12
Speaker 5: that's the hero's life. I'm gonna give Joshua space and
• 55:16
Speaker 5: go check on family.
• 55:17
Speaker 1: Okay, sounds good, Jason, you go find Paige. Hi, Jason,
• 55:30
Speaker 1: just been working out so much exercise lately? Oh my goodness,
• 55:34
Speaker 1: is that where you've kind of been? Yeah? Is it
• 55:36
Speaker 1: not showing? Am I not getting results? I mean? What
• 55:40
Speaker 1: percentage buffer? Do I? Look? I mean, you look I
• 55:42
Speaker 1: don't know. I don't know. You look fine, you look good.
• 55:46
Speaker 1: Thanks you too, Thanks. Hey, listen, you you know, when
• 55:51
Speaker 1: Arthur like died, I I did the kind of weird
• 56:00
Speaker 1: thing where I kind of like asked you to stay
• 56:02
Speaker 1: with me because your home.
• 56:03
Speaker 3: Was gone, so weird. What do you mean why that's
• 56:07
  Speaker 3: I mean, I appreciated it. I needed a place.
• 56:09
  Speaker 1: Well, I know, I know, but like I I meant,
• 56:12
Speaker 1: I wanted I like was trying to mean more like
• 56:16
Speaker 1: like I wanted you to move in with me up
• 56:24
Speaker 1: well and like like we could live together like roommates. Yeah, yeah,
• 56:32
  Speaker 1: I mean, because you didn't have a place, But I
• 56:35
Speaker 1: also like I wanted I wanted to be close to you.
• 56:42
Speaker 3: It feels like you're trying to say something between the lines,
• 56:44
Speaker 3: but I'm very bad at reading those things. Ironically, Is
• 56:49
Speaker 3: there a way that you could say the subtext out
• 56:54
Speaker 3: loud for just for me, or write it down? Would
• 56:56
Speaker 3: you write it down? Would that be easier? Sometimes I've
• 57:00
Speaker 3: find it's easier to write it down.
• 57:03
Speaker 1: It's just that I I like you, you know, and
• 57:12
  Speaker 1: I I have for like a long time, and I
• 57:20
Speaker 1: don't know, I didn't want like Arthur's dying in the library,
• 57:25
Speaker 1: burning it down to be like the thing that made
• 57:29
Speaker 1: me tell you or talk to you about it because
• 57:32
  Speaker 1: I like I didn't want to ruin.
• 57:34
Speaker 3: Hey, I grab her hand. I like you too, and
• 57:42
Speaker 3: I've liked you for a long time. We're both bad
• 57:46
Speaker 3: at expressing ourselves. Well, we're both equally bad at expressing ourselves.
• 57:54
Speaker 3: I squeeze her hand.
• 57:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, so tired in this way? Yes? And you are strong,
• 58:04
Speaker 1: stronger you're hand. You're squeezing my hand. Oh? Sorry, Well,
• 58:09
Speaker 1: so what do we do? Mmmm?
• 58:14
Speaker 3: This is the furthest I've ever gotten third base holding hands.
• 58:19
  Speaker 1: I think that's a I don't even Jason, I don't
• 58:23
Speaker 1: even think that's first base. I don't even.
• 58:27
Speaker 3: What am I in the true America game? I like baseballs,
• 58:30
Speaker 3: and I don't know. I read books, you dirty dog.
• 58:35
  Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know what to do.
• 58:41
Speaker 1: You've always been friends, and that's why I like being
• 58:44
  Speaker 1: with you, and I didn't want to I don't want
• 58:47
Speaker 1: to ruin that. I don't think it's gonna get ruined.
• 58:53
Speaker 1: We can just still be friends and roommates and hang
• 59:00
Speaker 1: out all the time. But like, what about you know, kissing? Huh?
• 59:07
Speaker 3: Thank you for bringing that salient point up. I have
• 59:11
Speaker 3: never kissed a person before. Really, no, all right, is.
• 59:26
Speaker 1: We could try it? M hmm. I mean it's nice
• 59:31
Speaker 1: you've done it before. Yeah, bad boyfriends right here and there,
• 59:42
Speaker 1: I like, look around, like if anyone's around, Uh, like
• 59:46
Speaker 1: now as your head is going back and forward looking
• 59:49
Speaker 1: for people around criminals. She grabs it while it's facing
• 59:56
