0:00
[SPEAKER_00]: you are a man of God, you know, world against masculinity, willing to stand in the gap.
0:04
[SPEAKER_00]: An example of its good, you feel the pressures to conform, but you're part of a growing few, rejecting your inner-passivity, so you can love others well.
0:12
[SPEAKER_00]: Stand for truth and lead on apologetically, the grain is not your path.
0:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You press forward as a resolute man.
0:19
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, welcome back to the show.
0:20
[SPEAKER_00]: So glad you're here teaching Proverbs.
0:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Chapter three, verses 19 through 20 to your family, the wisdom that built the world.
0:29
[SPEAKER_00]: What a good little title.
0:30
[SPEAKER_00]: You could use that in your promotion too.
0:32
[SPEAKER_00]: The wisdom, the built the world children.
0:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You're ready to listen to the wisdom that built the world.
0:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, first, I always give a challenge.
0:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Why, man, have a hard time teaching the family.
0:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sure you love hearing all these, right?
0:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, here it is.
0:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a good teacher.
0:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I understand.
0:46
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to learn.
0:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a naturally gifted teacher.
0:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Growing up, I never wanted to teach anybody anything.
0:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an introvert, I was quiet, I was very insecure, grew up without a father figure, largely, had some, but didn't ever met my real dad.
1:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And you know, it wasn't until 19, I started learning and desiring being a teacher, and then 21, really experienced a breakthrough in that, running a business, and that was an amazing experience and really realizing that communicating and being a teacher is really important.
1:16
[SPEAKER_00]: And then the rest of my life has been literally words coming out of my mouth is mostly what is provided for our family, our whole life, whether it's leading companies, building companies, ministry, and so forth.
1:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Mostly it's what's coming out of my mouth.
1:29
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't naturally gifted to me.
1:30
[SPEAKER_00]: And so I encourage you to desire to be a better teacher because if you have children, if your father teaching is required, it is required.
1:38
[SPEAKER_00]: And you don't have to be gifted at it.
1:40
[SPEAKER_00]: You can learn most people learn these things like I did.
1:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I had to learn it.
1:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And I saw it after people, I think you should let me know.
1:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thinking about maybe doing a special content.
1:51
[SPEAKER_00]: about how to become a great teacher, how to become a great speaker.
1:55
[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of you guys probably feel calling to do that more.
1:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of you even feel calling perhaps to be a pastor.
2:00
[SPEAKER_00]: It is the greatest thing I've ever done.
2:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Being a pastor is the most glorious thing to do with the Lord.
2:05
[SPEAKER_00]: It is like amazing.
2:07
[SPEAKER_00]: This particular episode that I'm going to teach at the end here with our M-Tips was a powerful discussion that helped me actually move forward in being a pastor of the root of public church and planting that church.
2:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to teach you that, but first we got to get into this.
2:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So it's the Bible that they need to hear.
2:23
[SPEAKER_00]: You are the conduit, just remember that.
2:25
[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Bible that they need to hear at the near here from your lips.
2:28
[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to be an amazing teacher, but the more you do this, the better teacher you're gonna become.
2:32
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like a muscle, it's like anything.
2:33
[SPEAKER_00]: You gotta learn it over time by doing.
2:35
[SPEAKER_00]: That's how I learned it, by doing.
2:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I remember one time, I went on my first speeches.
2:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I was giving in front of a group of people, and I didn't know how to prepare.
2:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't have a lot of instruction.
2:45
[SPEAKER_00]: and I completely bifed it.
2:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I was so nervous, I was turning red and my leader was in the back of the room laughing his head off.
2:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Literally laughing his head off.
2:54
[SPEAKER_00]: Like in such an animated way, I thought he was going to fall out of his chair.
2:57
[SPEAKER_00]: That was really exactly what I needed.
3:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I made me angry and made me frustrated.
3:02
[SPEAKER_00]: But you know what it also did?
3:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it made me prepare the next time?
3:05
[SPEAKER_00]: and there's another story to that of the kind of the victory that happened through that, but it was really a wake-up call.
3:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes I need hard coaches and our teachers like that.
3:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm thankful for that memory.
3:14
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, pray acronym.
3:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Promote, read, ask questions.
3:17
[SPEAKER_00]: You're in to know the Bible more.
3:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You've heard it a lot.
3:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to keep going here.
3:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Promotion.
3:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So what are you going to promote the wisdom that built the world?
3:25
[SPEAKER_00]: That's just a perfect way to promote this next section of scripture.
3:28
[SPEAKER_00]: And we're going to talk about God's power, majesty, and creating the earth, and so forth.
3:31
[SPEAKER_00]: So,
3:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, children, do you want to hear about the wisdom that built the entire world like everything?
3:37
[SPEAKER_00]: You guys ready to hear from God, the Scriptures?
3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: You ready to discuss this as a family?
3:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go!
3:43
[SPEAKER_00]: Got your Bibles ready?
3:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go!
3:44
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, verse 19.
3:47
[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, by understanding He established the heavens.
3:53
[SPEAKER_00]: Children think about that, and we know this from Genesis, that six days of creation rested on the seventh day, He created it all in six literal days.
4:03
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what the Bible says.
4:04
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what we believe we believe with the Bible says.
4:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Now some of you side note might believe each day represented thousands of years and so forth.
4:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to fight about it right here.
4:14
[SPEAKER_00]: I think there is more power in having faith in the exactly what the Bible says in this area than teaching kids that each day was thousands of years and things like that.
4:25
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you one little reason on the seventh day, he rest it.
4:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It's also where the seven days in a week,
4:30
[SPEAKER_00]: came from, but there's a lot more reasons to believe that the power of God is that unbelievable that he was able to do in six days.
4:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Why wouldn't we believe that?
4:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Interesting.
4:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Back to ear.
4:39
[SPEAKER_00]: The Lord by wisdom founded the earth by understanding He established the heavens.
4:43
[SPEAKER_00]: The power of God, His wisdom created everything children.
4:47
[SPEAKER_00]: He holds and He also holds everything together.
4:50
[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing.
4:52
[SPEAKER_00]: He can hold your life up for incredible things.
4:56
[SPEAKER_00]: So if he can hold the whole world up and he created the whole world, is he able to hold your life up when you're trusting him and obeying him?
5:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Is he worthy of your trust and obedience when he's that powerful?
5:05
[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where fear of God comes from, which is a reverence for his power, majesty, glory, and love for you.
5:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And so we want to put our life in his hands versus our own hands.
5:14
[SPEAKER_00]: And every day, in all that we're doing, he can hold your life up to doing incredible things.
5:19
[SPEAKER_00]: So, found it.
5:20
[SPEAKER_00]: Look at this word radio, the Lord by wisdom found it, the earth.
5:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, that's a building term.
5:26
[SPEAKER_00]: like building a foundation.
5:28
[SPEAKER_00]: So you could tie that into laying a foundation for a house or a shed or something like that.
5:33
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's got to be a strong foundation.
5:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And God built a strong foundation with our earth.
5:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It's incredibly strong.
5:39
[SPEAKER_00]: All the ecosystem and everything works together is incredible.
5:42
[SPEAKER_00]: You could literally just talk about how water works on earth.
5:45
[SPEAKER_00]: How do the rivers always keep flowing?
5:47
[SPEAKER_00]: How do we always have water?
5:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Look that up.
5:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Think about that.
5:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Think about how all that works and how it works so perfectly.
5:54
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really, really amazing thing.
5:55
[SPEAKER_00]: God is the foundation of our life.
5:57
[SPEAKER_00]: Establish this other word by understanding he established the heavens.
6:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Establish means secure or to keep in place.
6:06
[SPEAKER_00]: So, a good thing to do, I'd plan to look this up before the episode, you can just look it up real quick.
6:10
[SPEAKER_00]: But the distance from the sun to earth is a powerful example of God establishing the heavens and securing everything in place.
6:19
[SPEAKER_00]: If the sun was just a little bit closer, just a tiny bit closer, earth, nothing would exist to be too hot.
6:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And if it was just a little bit further away, everything would be too cold and nothing would work.
6:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It is the exact distance.
6:29
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you look up the distance, how far away it really is and how the sun is just constantly
6:35
[SPEAKER_00]: provide what we need, a habitat here in humanity, like everything's perfect.
6:39
[SPEAKER_00]: God is the designer and orchestrated all the stuff.
6:41
[SPEAKER_00]: It's amazing, right?
6:43
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you have a conviction and share that with your children, it really goes against the wayward scientists, summertime that they're going to experience in the future.
6:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And the AI that's going to propagate things in the future and things like that, you have to instill these things.
6:57
[SPEAKER_00]: So, oh, important.
6:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So, God may you just as you are.
7:00
[SPEAKER_00]: He wants to guide you too.
7:02
[SPEAKER_00]: So good.
7:03
[SPEAKER_00]: God made you just the way you are.
7:04
[SPEAKER_00]: He wants you just the way you are.
7:06
[SPEAKER_00]: What a good message.
7:07
[SPEAKER_00]: Verse 20 by his knowledge The deeps broke open and the clouds drop down the do.
7:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, so here we're talking about the ocean the deeps of The ocean and so forth and then we're talking about clouds dropping do on the grass.
7:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So children have you ever seen do on the grass?
7:24
[SPEAKER_00]: That's the little moisture in the morning that's over the top of the grass that gives it the water even though it didn't rain
7:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, isn't that cool?
7:33
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so cool how everything works.
7:35
[SPEAKER_00]: So right here we have knowledge that's knowing what's true Okay, the previous verse 19 there was wisdom and understanding so now we have these three things wisdom understanding and knowledge Many parts of the Bible it uses all three together So there's a great point to teach your children the difference between knowledge wisdom and Understanding okay because those can seem like the same thing, but they're not and they're all used together So here's a powerful thing
8:00
[SPEAKER_00]: Knowledge is knowing what's true.
8:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Knowing the facts of what's true.
8:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Understanding a seeing how the facts fit together is Understanding and wisdom is knowing what to do with that understanding.
8:13
[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, kind of cool.
8:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Isn't that?
8:15
[SPEAKER_00]: I'll say it again.
8:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Knowledge is knowing what's true.
8:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Understanding is seeing how it fits together and wisdom is knowing what to do about it That's a really simplistic way to explain the difference between knowledge understanding wisdom and all three important Some people only rely on their knowledge
8:28
[SPEAKER_00]: They just have knowledge and facts about the Bible and things like that, but they don't have faith, they don't believe, they don't have understanding, you see how it fits together, and they don't apply it to the life, there's no wisdom.
8:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
8:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't want to be those people.
8:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Back to the first 20.
8:39
[SPEAKER_00]: God built the world with these three.
8:41
[SPEAKER_00]: That's in 1920.
8:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And built the entire world with these three.
8:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So do we want to use these three?
8:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
8:45
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want to just be knowledge without understanding wisdom.
8:47
[SPEAKER_00]: We don't only use wisdom without knowledge, right?
8:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Because that's not going to be convoluted wisdom.
8:52
[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be marred with them, it's going to be false wisdom without the knowledge of God.
8:56
[SPEAKER_00]: See how powerful this is.
8:57
[SPEAKER_00]: People get wayward in one way or another, understanding kind of brings it all together to see how it all fits together, how the knowledge of God works with my life today.
9:06
[SPEAKER_00]: and having wisdom and the decisions I make and God are what I'm doing.
9:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So God built the world with these three.
9:12
[SPEAKER_00]: We can build your life with these three too and give them to you.
9:14
[SPEAKER_00]: He gives him freely to you.
9:15
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have to read the Bible, draw close to God, seeking and so forth, right?
9:19
[SPEAKER_00]: To get wisdom more than riches.
9:21
[SPEAKER_00]: So the deep of the sea to the dew on the grass.
9:24
[SPEAKER_00]: This is powerful, guys.
9:26
[SPEAKER_00]: The great big and then the small and the details.
9:30
[SPEAKER_00]: God cares about the great big and it cares about the details as well.
9:33
[SPEAKER_00]: See, all intelligently designed by God.
9:36
[SPEAKER_00]: So, I would really emphasize the due, the due on the grass, the details.
9:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Let's pay attention to the due children, the daily small things that matter.
9:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Pay attention to what God is doing in the small things.
9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: Two, don't miss it.
9:51
[SPEAKER_00]: Look for the divine appointments where God is doing something.
9:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Look for God in everything that's happening.
9:57
[SPEAKER_00]: The dude, let's focus on the dude.
9:59
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, I'm gonna share something for a second, but then I'm gonna talk about this episode 23 is so powerful, influenced me, mightily, talking to a man.
10:07
[SPEAKER_00]: He's a pastor, he's a rural one in refugee that becomes a pastor, entrepreneur, and success.
10:13
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is a story of hope here, and I met him in the States, in my business life, and now he's back over in Rwanda, I believe.
10:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And you got to listen this episode because he's a pastor of a church running many businesses and so forth, and I always wonder, and there's tons of people, people walk like two days to get to a church.
10:29
[SPEAKER_00]: I always wonder, how does he do all of that, because the pastors I know,
10:33
[SPEAKER_00]: can only do the pastor thing.
10:34
[SPEAKER_00]: And as I was thinking about planting a church, but I wasn't going to stop doing all this other fruitful things in my life, right?
10:40
[SPEAKER_00]: So I had to think about that this conversation really was a tipping point.
10:43
[SPEAKER_00]: But first, I want to encourage you, Jen, to go to cradiesparanting.com.
10:46
[SPEAKER_00]: There's the Parenting Mentor Program there.

11:08
[SPEAKER_00]: It is a vital book very practical and has the marriage conversations.
11:12
[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be a hero if you initiate going through that with your wife.
11:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Go through this church as well.
11:17
[SPEAKER_00]: There's more and more churches using the book.
11:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I keep hearing all we bought 10, where do you go through it as a small group?
11:21
[SPEAKER_00]: All we bought 20, we're going through it with a small group.
11:24
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think it's going to become a mainstay because church is a hard time teaching parenting.
11:28
[SPEAKER_00]: This book is revolutionary and very important for marriages as well.
11:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so go do that.
11:33
[SPEAKER_00]: All right, here's the three tips from this.
11:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And I was so encouraged by this episode.
11:38
[SPEAKER_00]: See a need and take the first step.
11:39
[SPEAKER_00]: Leadership often starts by necessity.
11:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Noticing a problem, having the boldness to act.
11:43
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm learning the doubts and excuses.
11:46
[SPEAKER_00]: you've picked up a long way, replace fear with faith in God, not in your own abilities, and others will step in alongside you.
11:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so that's number one, just three tips from this.
11:55
[SPEAKER_00]: Second one is profit and purpose aren't opposites.
11:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Profit is a multiplier, the reward for doing good that funds even more good.
12:02
[SPEAKER_00]: Money is a tool, so Stuart it and grow it for God's kingdom rather than treating business and ministry's separate worlds.
12:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Amen!
12:10
[SPEAKER_00]: So good, I'm on, so good, three, be the church, not just an audience.
12:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Sermons and worship are available everywhere online, but community isn't.
12:18
[SPEAKER_00]: Grow inscriptors so you can teach and lead others.
12:21
[SPEAKER_00]: Use your gifts in a small group of believers and don't let Sunday become something you can soon rather than something you're a part of.
12:27
[SPEAKER_00]: And the big thing takeaway I got personally that was the final thing that pushed me forward to plant rude Bible church.
12:32
[SPEAKER_00]: I had this interview with him and I was discussing it.
12:35
[SPEAKER_00]: And part of it was the discussion probably after we hit record.
12:38
[SPEAKER_00]: to might be in that so you can check.
12:40
[SPEAKER_00]: But it was like, I'm like a man.
12:42
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to have to do this differently.
12:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I only have limited hours.
12:45
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm already working full-time be courageous ministry.
12:47
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got a big family.
12:48
[SPEAKER_00]: I've got lots of responsibilities.
12:50
[SPEAKER_00]: Now I feel like God's calling me to plant this church.
12:52
[SPEAKER_00]: Read a Bible church.
12:53
[SPEAKER_00]: How am I going to do all this?
12:54
[SPEAKER_00]: And he told me don't do it like the West.
12:56
[SPEAKER_00]: The West has this model of people on staff with titles.
13:01
[SPEAKER_00]: and all the burdens fall on those people with staff and titles.
13:04
[SPEAKER_00]: Instead, create a culture where everybody's empowered to do ministry and be a church family.
13:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And you're there to lead, to steward, to preach, and to shepherd, but you're not there to shepherd everybody.
13:16
[SPEAKER_00]: You're there to shepherd a few.
13:18
[SPEAKER_00]: and that causing a ripple effect to go out from there.
13:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And so, yeah, I'm doing it, this is what he's doing.
13:22
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing it, here's what I'm doing.
13:24
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm like, man, that was a confirmation.
13:26
[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't like that was new information for me.
13:28
[SPEAKER_00]: It was kind of already in my sights, but hearing from a pastor that gave me kind of that permission to do it differently, has been amazing.
13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: Now we're planting another church.
13:37
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm doing even more with the courageous ministry than before.
13:40
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really amazing to see what God's doing when you create the right culture and you lead in the right ways.
13:46
[SPEAKER_00]: that are counterintuitive to the ways of the West in America, the American churches.
13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the bread of Christ, I'm not talking to you well about any churches at all.
13:55
[SPEAKER_00]: This was in necessity to do it differently and really what we're doing is just what was in Acts, what I see in Acts is the early church.
14:03
[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe maybe that's you, maybe you've thought, well I really feel called to be a pastor but I don't know if I can do it because I'm doing all these other things and if you're called, you're called.
14:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And if you want to learn how to do it in a way where you can still do your other things, you need to reach out to me because we need a pastor.
14:18
[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, we need lots of pastors.
14:19
[SPEAKER_00]: I have a feeling that God's doing something here because I'm not doing it.
14:24
[SPEAKER_00]: God's literally doing incredible things and I'm watching it.
14:28
[SPEAKER_00]: But we need leaders.
14:29
[SPEAKER_00]: We need pastors that learn how to do it and go do it.
14:33
[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
14:33
[SPEAKER_00]: Reach out to me if you want.
14:34
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope you enjoyed the show.
14:36
