- 0:01Speaker 1: My Broadway debut was in Memphis. I played the white DJ,
- 0:05Speaker 1: not to be confused with the black DJ.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Exactly. You try to identify as the black DJ.
- 0:09Speaker 1: No, no, no. I was the white DJ. The show opened.
- 0:13Speaker 1: It was a great musical. I loved that show.
- 0:15Speaker 3: And it toured.
- 0:15Speaker 1: I did the national tour. I did it at Broadway
- 0:18Speaker 1: for a little while in the Schubert Theater. The show
- 0:20Speaker 1: opens up with a white DJ doing a schmaltzy show.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Welcome in. This is W.E.B.C. playing your hot hits, Rosemary
- 0:29Speaker 1: Clooney and all this stuff. And then there was a
- 0:32Speaker 1: blackout and I would drop down under the desk and
- 0:35Speaker 1: then a black DJ popped up and he'd say.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Here we are playing all the hits coming to you.
- 0:39Speaker 1: And it was all the black soul and urban music
- 0:44Speaker 1: and it was the juxtaposition. And that was how the
- 0:46Speaker 1: show started because the whole premise of the musical Memphis
- 0:49Speaker 1: is a white DJ who falls in love with a
- 0:51Speaker 1: black woman and in segregated memphis it was it's a
- 0:54Speaker 1: great great experience and i was scared to death on
- 0:58Speaker 1: that stage the schubert you think about the baramores and
- 1:02Speaker 1: you know all of them i mean man those boards
- 1:05Speaker 1: man yeah and when was that when was that gosh
- 1:09Speaker 1: i don't know i i don't even i can't even
- 1:11Speaker 1: tell you what year that was that would have been
- 1:13Speaker 1: uh i don't know i'm terrible at dates Look, forget
- 1:18Speaker 1: my Broadway fantasies. Let's just get into reality right here,
- 1:23Speaker 1: right now. Oh, Swami, since I'm one of the supposedly
- 1:27Speaker 1: smart people who got sucked into the James Tallarico story.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Just for a minute.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Huh?
- 1:34Speaker 2: Just for a minute. I talked you out. You were
- 1:37Speaker 2: just there for a minute.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I'm still not where you are, and I'll tell you why.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So let's rewind here. Did you set this up during
- 1:46Speaker 1: your show at all?
- 1:47Speaker 2: Did you talk about it?
- 1:48Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely.
- 1:49Speaker 2: I played the phony audio. Okay, the phony audio. So
- 1:52Speaker 2: it's AI for sure? Or the surreptitious audio.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Do you know that? How do you know that?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Because there's just no plausibility to this whatsoever.
- 2:02Speaker 1: There's no plausibility. You think it's normal. Oh, you know
- 2:07Speaker 1: what stinks and reeks to high heaven? I'm gone for
- 2:09Speaker 1: 12 days with the flu and nobody will talk about it.
- 2:11Speaker 2: That's a totally separate issue.
- 2:12Speaker 3: But yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Somebody to drop something from the sky from some online
- 2:17Speaker 2: dude who says, hey, some other dude called the hospital
- 2:21Speaker 2: and have a whole bunch of people breathlessly go. It's
- 2:23Speaker 2: confirmed he was in a mental hospital without looking for
- 2:27Speaker 2: any corroboration at all. My God, what a fool's errand
- 2:30Speaker 2: that was.
- 2:31Speaker 1: Okay, well, I'm a fool because I went with Town Hall,
- 2:35Speaker 1: our company, you know, so be careful there, Skippy, our
- 2:39Speaker 1: own company.
- 2:40Speaker 2: They just reported that it was reported.
- 2:42Speaker 3: That's what I was doing. That's all I did.
- 2:44Speaker 2: No, but you believe it. You texted me, I'm with Nick.
- 2:49Speaker 1: That was a joke. I was tweaking you because you
- 2:52Speaker 1: were being Mother Teresa.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Granny Clampett over here said, don't believe those kids on
- 2:58Speaker 3: the internet.
- 3:00Speaker 2: It's an internet thing. What is wrong with people?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Nick Sorter and these guys have done some of the
- 3:06Speaker 1: best work that journalists don't do, and they're the ones
- 3:10Speaker 1: behind it. Again, I ask you, oh wise ones, since
- 3:13Speaker 1: you've got it all figured out, what is the tape?
- 3:16Speaker 1: What is that?
- 3:17Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Oh, you have no idea. But you know it's false.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I know that the story of him having been at
- 3:25Speaker 2: that facility collapsed almost immediately.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Tell me how it collapsed. Tell me how it collapsed.
- 3:32Speaker 2: The timeline doesn't work. This supposed woman who said that
- 3:36Speaker 2: he was discharged, what did he say, tonight or last
- 3:38Speaker 2: night or something like that? The calendar date was when
- 3:40Speaker 2: he was already in Austin. The timeline doesn't even work,
- 3:44Speaker 2: but everybody just wanted it so bad. No, I don't.
- 3:48Speaker 2: That they overlooked their own normal common sense to go,
- 3:52Speaker 2: that's it, I don't need anything else. Colin, you've got
- 3:55Speaker 2: to be more discerning than that.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I joked about I'm with Nick with you, but I'm
- 3:59Speaker 1: not joking that I'm with Elon, who said the Tallarico
- 4:02Speaker 1: campaign is hiding something big that voters ought to know about.
- 4:07Speaker 1: And on that audio, I mean, first of all, this audio,
- 4:12Speaker 1: you can't fabricate what Tallarico himself said.
- 4:16Speaker 3: First, he said, I was so sick, I went to
- 4:18Speaker 3: an urgent care.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yep. And that would have been in Dallas. Exactly.
- 4:23Speaker 1: And then he said in another interview, I was so sick,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I saw my primary care physician, who presumably is in Austin.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Yep.
- 4:31Speaker 1: And everybody's like, wait a minute, what are you talking about? Mark,
- 4:35Speaker 1: You've had the flu. I've had the flu. My kid's
- 4:38Speaker 1: had the flu. And by the way, my kid is
- 4:42Speaker 1: a diabetic, too. My kid has had the flu. And
- 4:46Speaker 1: guess what? He got over it in about four days.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Give me a break. Twelve days right before the election.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Something's up, Mark. And maybe you're right. Maybe the Nick Sorter,
- 4:58Speaker 1: Ryan Amarker, whoever this guy is— I mean, I still
- 5:02Speaker 1: am waiting for you to tell me what the audio
- 5:04Speaker 1: actually is, because the woman says.
- 5:05Speaker 2: That's not my job. I don't know how they in
- 5:08Speaker 2: the recesses of this Ryan Amaker's brain foisted what seems
- 5:13Speaker 2: to be this fraud. I don't know. I'll let him
- 5:15Speaker 2: tell everybody that what I know is virtually no facility
- 5:19Speaker 2: will do this. The timeline doesn't add up. There is
- 5:22Speaker 2: zero corroborating evidence. One, two, three. Skepticism. Hello. Well, having
- 5:29Speaker 2: said that, because this is very important, having said that,
- 5:31Speaker 2: is the other points you brought up totally solid? And
- 5:34Speaker 2: there's something weird about this absence. And I'm not ready
- 5:36Speaker 2: to let that go because I think there is indeed
- 5:38Speaker 2: something they're not telling us. Continue.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Well, and again, when it's so fascinating to me that
- 5:44Speaker 1: you're so willing to debunk after we've seen what Democrats
- 5:48Speaker 1: have foisted upon us year after year, all over and
- 5:52Speaker 1: over again with their hoaxes.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I need silly me. I need before I leap into
- 5:56Speaker 2: something that I just want so bad to be true.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'd like some one shred of evidence that it's just
- 6:03Speaker 2: kind of.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And I trust you and I do. I do obviously
- 6:07Speaker 1: respect you. And so I took my post down. I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 1: all I did was say, if this is true, it's
- 6:13Speaker 1: a game changer. You're on solid ground with it. There's
- 6:16Speaker 1: nothing like that. And somebody said, you should retract that.
- 6:18Speaker 3: I said, what? Retract if it's true? It may not
- 6:21Speaker 3: be true. I don't know.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But look, I think it's interesting to me that you
- 6:26Speaker 1: can't believe that a woman in Mason, Ohio, would screw
- 6:31Speaker 1: up who answers the phone and inadvertently blurt out something.
- 6:35Speaker 1: Because explain this to me, okay, Kimo Sabe. Explain this
- 6:39Speaker 1: to me, oh, Swami, with all the answers. How did
- 6:43Speaker 1: the facility then tweet last night that he was never
- 6:46Speaker 1: treated there? Isn't that a HIPAA violation?
- 6:49Speaker 3: How do they do that?
- 6:50Speaker 1: They tweeted last night, James Tallarico has never received treatment
- 6:54Speaker 1: at our facility.
- 6:55Speaker 3: That's nobody's business.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Well, that's an interesting legal question. A HIPAA violation, so
- 7:02Speaker 2: medical privacy, would seem to be revealing something that did happen.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Is the converse true? I don't know that it is.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I don't know the answer to that. I don't know.
- 7:12Speaker 2: If saying that somebody was, is it a privacy thing
- 7:17Speaker 2: to say that somebody was not there?
- 7:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 7:19Speaker 2: No, that's it.
- 7:20Speaker 1: But we're living in an era, Mark, where, as we
- 7:23Speaker 1: just found out, and this was revealed, that the legacy
- 7:27Speaker 1: media over– I don't know if you follow this Jane
- 7:30Speaker 1: Doe Cornell rape case and sexual abuse. What a mess, okay?
- 7:36Speaker 1: So Cornell's Jane Doe wrote in a text exchange with
- 7:40Speaker 1: one of the seven men that she has accused of
- 7:43Speaker 1: sexually assaulting her during a 2024 encounter– She said, our body,
- 7:49Speaker 1: our choice.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Now, that comment was left out deliberately by the New
- 7:54Speaker 1: York Times and CBS.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Yep.
- 7:57Speaker 1: They kept that out of the exchange, which would have
- 8:00Speaker 1: probably given some light as to whether or not, because,
- 8:02Speaker 1: you know, nobody knows what happened behind closed doors. No.
- 8:05Speaker 1: That's the problem with this. It's one of those he said,
- 8:07Speaker 1: she said things. She's accusing seven young men whose lives
- 8:11Speaker 1: have been destroyed. I mean, I don't know how they
- 8:14Speaker 1: get their reputation back, and maybe they don't deserve it.
- 8:16Speaker 3: I don't know. I mean, you probably know more. Have
- 8:18Speaker 3: you followed this closely?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Well, I haven't. For those unfamiliar, Ed Cornell, a couple
- 8:22Speaker 2: of years ago, frat party, hello, that's kind of all
- 8:24Speaker 2: you need to know. And their story is that she
- 8:28Speaker 2: was just in a loose mood and allowed this group
- 8:31Speaker 2: sex thing to happen. The following morning, she decides it's rape.
- 8:35Speaker 2: That's their version of events. Her version of events is,
- 8:38Speaker 2: I absolutely was raped. But then these text communications, things
- 8:42Speaker 2: begin to come out that slowly begin to erode the
- 8:45Speaker 2: rape scenario. Things that, as you mentioned there, language that
- 8:50Speaker 2: seems to suggest consent, which the media culture, desperately needing
- 8:55Speaker 2: another rape story, managed to omit.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They left that out. And speaking of people who are
- 9:00Speaker 1: being ruined, how about this magic store in Brooklyn, New York,
- 9:05Speaker 1: the subject of the wrath of Kelly Clarkson?
- 9:08Speaker 3: Now, first of all. Full stipulation.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I'm very reluctant to bring this up because I have
- 9:13Speaker 1: a little bit of a history with Kelly Clarkson. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: don't want to talk about it. Anybody can Google it. Well,
- 9:20Speaker 1: you can Google it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: It's painful.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I have PTSD over that. I was on the fetal
- 9:25Speaker 1: position on the couch for like two weeks over that
- 9:28Speaker 1: whole story. So it was an awful thing. She, I'm sure,
- 9:32Speaker 1: is a lovely lady.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I love her talent.
- 9:36Speaker 3: All right.
- 9:36Speaker 2: And her TV show was just wrapped up after years.
- 9:39Speaker 2: She gives off every indication just of being one of
- 9:41Speaker 2: the sweetest, most wonderful, nicest, kindest people in the world.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Until she doesn't. Until she doesn't. Did you have.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Her going mean girls on your bingo card?
- 9:51Speaker 2: I did not. She goes to a store in Brooklyn
- 9:54Speaker 2: that has all kinds of toys and devices and magic things.
- 9:57Speaker 2: What was the name of it again? Do you know
- 9:59Speaker 2: the name of the store? Art.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Store? Art of Play. Art of Play.
- 10:03Speaker 2: She goes in, sees a nifty animatronic bird on the
- 10:07Speaker 2: wall and sees a $ 1, 500 price tag next to it. $ 15, 000. $ 15, 000,
- 10:12Speaker 2: excuse me, and says, I want to buy it. They
- 10:14Speaker 2: hem and haw with her. The store's point is We
- 10:18Speaker 2: have those like we can get one, but that one's ours.
- 10:21Speaker 2: It's on the wall. We use it a lot. That
- 10:23Speaker 2: one is not for sale. She comes away thinking that
- 10:26Speaker 2: she's been treated like Julia Robertson pretty well. You can't
- 10:29Speaker 2: afford this little lady. Let us usher you over here.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So she feels like she's being judged. So understand, understand, understand.
- 10:36Speaker 2: But what you do not do, what you never do,
- 10:40Speaker 2: if you have eight million followers and you're the big
- 10:43Speaker 2: elephant in the room and you're just a strong, powerful
- 10:46Speaker 2: star who everybody loves. is savage this store publicly on
- 10:50Speaker 2: your social media just because of one bad interaction. That's
- 10:54Speaker 2: what she did, and I was not having it. It
- 10:57Speaker 2: was do you know who I am syndrome on steroids.
- 11:01Speaker 2: And she doubled down. She doubled down. I offer it
- 11:06Speaker 2: to you, Counselor.
- 11:07Speaker 3: She called them a liar.
- 11:09Speaker 1: She's making fun of them because supposedly it was for sale.
- 11:13Speaker 3: And blah, blah, blah.
- 11:14Speaker 1: All I know is that the owner of the store
- 11:16Speaker 1: went to social media last night and he said, my
- 11:19Speaker 1: life and my business has just been destroyed by Kelly Clarkson.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I mean, the last time I looked, her post denouncing
- 11:26Speaker 1: that little mom-and-pop shop in Brooklyn got 37 million views. Look,
- 11:32Speaker 1: I felt the wrath of Kelly Clarkson fans, and so
- 11:36Speaker 1: it's not fun.
- 11:38Speaker 3: And by the way, I deserved it. I was just
- 11:40Speaker 3: going to say that. I apologized. And, you know, it
- 11:43Speaker 3: was a fascinating thing.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know, I've talked about this and we might as
- 11:46Speaker 1: well just for people that don't know. Years ago, I
- 11:49Speaker 1: used to do a weekly hit with Chris Wallace, who
- 11:52Speaker 1: was then at Fox News, was not. That was pre-Trump,
- 11:55Speaker 1: thank goodness, because I think he went kind of anti-Trump,
- 11:58Speaker 1: so that would have been an awkward conversation. It's like
- 12:02Speaker 1: what we do together now. People love the exchange. He
- 12:05Speaker 1: would kind of let his hair down. You'd see a
- 12:07Speaker 1: side of Chris that you didn't see on Fox News
- 12:09Speaker 1: Sunday when he hosted that. And he was always making
- 12:12Speaker 1: fun of my weight. And there was a story about,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I saw Kelly Clarkson on TV the night before, and
- 12:18Speaker 1: she was big. She had put on a lot of weight.
- 12:21Speaker 1: She had a baby, and so I made a comment.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I said, wow, did you see how big she was?
- 12:25Speaker 1: And he said, well, maybe she ought to lay off
- 12:29Speaker 1: the deep dish pizza because he was teasing me. I
- 12:32Speaker 1: had proudly bragged over my weight that since I got
- 12:36Speaker 1: a whole pizza last night at Domino's, but it was
- 12:38Speaker 1: a thin crust, not a thick crust, so I'm doing
- 12:40Speaker 1: pretty good with calories. So that's why he went back to, well,
- 12:43Speaker 1: she should stay off the thick crust. Well, Joe Concha
- 12:46Speaker 1: comes along, who's now a big Fox News guy.
- 12:50Speaker 2: We love Joe now.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Well, I don't love Joe. I'll never forget that. He
- 12:56Speaker 1: decided to write a column. He was writing then at
- 12:59Speaker 1: Mediaite about how Mike Gallagher and Chris Wallace fat-shamed Kelly Clarkson.
- 13:03Speaker 1: That thing took off. It went all over the world. TMZ,
- 13:07Speaker 1: People Magazine. And I just apologized. I said, look, I'm
- 13:10Speaker 1: in no position. I was doing guy talk. It was
- 13:13Speaker 1: stupid of me. I'm ashamed.
- 13:14Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 13:15Speaker 1: And by the way, when I apologized, and it was
- 13:18Speaker 1: not one of those qualified, it all stopped immediately.
- 13:21Speaker 3: It turned the spigot off. Because you were sincere and
- 13:23Speaker 3: did the right thing. Well, it was the right thing.
- 13:25Speaker 1: But anyway, I don't know if she's going to— she doesn't
- 13:27Speaker 1: sound like she's in an apologetic mood.
- 13:29Speaker 2: And let's even stipulate that somebody at the store was
- 13:32Speaker 2: a complete jerk to her. You still don't do it.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You don't destroy an entire business because of one bad employee.
- 13:41Speaker 2: You just don't.
- 13:42Speaker 1: So what do you make of her not backing down, Mark?
- 13:45Speaker 1: I mean, isn't it weird that she's doubling down on this?
- 13:48Speaker 2: She was miffed. Well, she still is.
- 13:51Speaker 3: She still is.
- 13:53Speaker 2: And this might be a topic either to tell you
- 13:55Speaker 2: later on. I actually kind of like it when an
- 13:57Speaker 2: individual person, just an ordinary soul, gets done wrong by
- 14:02Speaker 2: an airline or a big company, and they put something
- 14:05Speaker 2: on their Twitter. Hey, XYZ Corporation, do you treat everybody
- 14:09Speaker 2: this badly? And all of a sudden, XYZ Corporation goes, whoa,
- 14:12Speaker 2: and rushes in to make it right because of social media.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I kind of like when those happen. But when you've
- 14:16Speaker 2: got 8 million followers and making $ 50 quillion a year,
- 14:20Speaker 2: take it up with management. Handle it right there face-to-face.
- 14:24Speaker 2: You don't destroy a whole business online with your 8
- 14:27Speaker 2: million followers.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Well, do not miss Eminem Extra because today on the podcast,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I want to lead with this headline from Axios that
- 14:34Speaker 1: we didn't get to during this experience. Trump expresses doubts
- 14:38Speaker 1: about live streaming the execution of Major Nadel Hassan.
- 14:42Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 14:43Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I'll bet it's not going to happen. Haven't you noticed
- 14:49Speaker 1: they've all sort of shifted a little bit, even President Trump?
- 14:52Speaker 1: They're kind of like, even Pete Hegseth said he won't
- 14:54Speaker 1: watch it. that's to me telling I'm going to make
- 14:58Speaker 1: a prediction, write it down, Monday, October.
- 15:01Speaker 2: It's not going to happen.
- 15:01Speaker 3: The execution will happen, but the live stream. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 3: but they're not going to live stream it. I'll bet you.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Will this go into history as one of those things
- 15:07Speaker 2: that they kind of did to telegraph their toughness, but
- 15:09Speaker 2: then kind of reined it back in in the real world?
- 15:12Speaker 3: I think it will. That's my prediction.
- 15:13Speaker 1: We'll follow it up on the M & M Extra, Apple, Spotify,
- 15:17Speaker 1: wherever you get your podcasts, noon Eastern, 11 Central on YouTube.
- 15:20Speaker 1: See you then, my friend. A wise one.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Love you. It's wise sometimes with your help.
